Socialising at University Andy Frisella

<v Speaker 1>So I go on but for or four times a
<v Speaker 1>week for.
<v Speaker 2>Coffee is probably what I do a lot, which maybe
<v Speaker 2>I shouldn't. I find myself in a lot of coffee
<v Speaker 2>shops a lot, mainly because I like the atmosphere. It's
<v Speaker 2>good to catch up with friends there.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, that's where a lot of my money goes,
<v Speaker 3>just buying coffee and talking to my friends.
<v Speaker 1>But that's what I like.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, I play hockey for the university. Say that
<v Speaker 3>takes that around three nights a week, do one night
<v Speaker 3>training and then two games a week.
<v Speaker 1>On the events officer for India Society, so I help
<v Speaker 1>organize events.
<v Speaker 4>So the things that I do that are free would
<v Speaker 4>be so sign Language Society, which is completely free.
<v Speaker 3>Which is amazing.
<v Speaker 4>Like I can't even emphasize how cool this society is.
<v Speaker 5>I'm a highly social person, but I don't feel the
<v Speaker 5>need to constantly go out, and that just goes to
<v Speaker 5>show you that you don't need to go out every
<v Speaker 5>night to be considered social.
<v Speaker 1>It's usually just spending time with fins, so maybe we
<v Speaker 1>got out for dinner or we just go into term.
<v Speaker 6>I quite enjoy sort of films, so I made sure
<v Speaker 6>one of the main things I brought with my TV
<v Speaker 6>even more because I liked watching that. I like lying
<v Speaker 6>in bed and watching films, and I watched quite a
<v Speaker 6>lot of documentaries and stuff. And that was kind of
<v Speaker 6>a blessing in disguise because then my room sort of
<v Speaker 6>became the cinema room, so everybody would end up in
<v Speaker 6>there and we'd end up watching films together, which was
<v Speaker 6>really nice.
<v Speaker 1>We spent time with each other's flats that can't as well,
<v Speaker 1>sure does? Okay, So yeah, I mean actually then if
<v Speaker 1>if you can't that, I do spend most of my
<v Speaker 1>nights offense flat we grew up in together at some place.
<v Speaker 4>You don't necessarily have to be going out and getting
<v Speaker 4>all old up with like eight inches of makeup on
<v Speaker 4>and high heels. A lot of the time kind of
<v Speaker 4>socializing happens inside. So a lot of my friends will
<v Speaker 4>have like flat meetings in the kitchen where they'll just
<v Speaker 4>kind of sit down at the table and like get
<v Speaker 4>on with work, but still like chat and play music.
<v Speaker 4>So not all the time is everyone going out. A
<v Speaker 4>lot of the time it is just kind of a
<v Speaker 4>night in.
<v Speaker 2>Usually when I go out with my friends, it usually
<v Speaker 2>is to clubs and things like that. But a couple
<v Speaker 2>of times there's been a film coming out which people
<v Speaker 2>in my halls have been interested in, so we've all
<v Speaker 2>done like a midnight trip to the cinema, which is
<v Speaker 2>really nice but quite quite a treat you have to
<v Speaker 2>have to budget for that. Going to university isn't just
<v Speaker 2>about doing a course more than just doing your UNI words,
<v Speaker 2>because it really helps you get to know new people.
<v Speaker 2>When you're picking a UCCS, pick something that you love,
<v Speaker 2>something that you're good at, and something that you think
<v Speaker 2>is going to be useful. No matter what course you do,
<v Speaker 2>it's not so much about what specific subjects you learn
<v Speaker 2>within that course.
<v Speaker 4>It's about the skills that you develop during that course.
