So twenty twelve, I think we've established thus far on Total NonStop Hogan is
a year where let's say, it all comes to a head for the Hulkster,
and more than just head, well, I mean Alice Snows in the
company, so yes there is and a gut check Judge no less riveting us
every week with his assessment of Joey. Ryan just keeps getting better, is
my point. I'll tell you, you know, and it just keeps getting
better for Hulkkegan because two thousand and twelve is the year where it all blows
wide open. We talked last week on this program, on this series,
on this journey about how this is the time period Hulk Cogan transitions into a
full time general manager, and Impact Wrestling is sort of beyond even teasing a
return to the ring or any further matches, although of course it's only a
matter of time before that itch has to be scratched again. But nonetheless,
we know it's his final pro wrestling match in the first quarter of two twelve.
They're in England in January. We know this. It's settled history,
and the first half of twenty twelve is largely characterized by that the transition from
a hulk, from entertaining the thought of wrestling again for impact to now fully
settling into this administrator that every week boss right, we have to see make
decisions, and this next round of shows is no exception in that regard,
although he's doing it under arrest from the Aces and Nates. I just don't
understand this whole What the fuck is? This isn't Aces Nates, So I
don't know cool, I cannot stand. This was the most annoying, boring
thing I've ever seen. I mean, it's Eric Bishop's you know, apex
of storytelling. It's the culmination of all the things he learned about creative,
both running Nitro were hit to learn the job, and of course as many
successful years in reality television with Jason Hervey. This is the work product of
all those years of experience. I really don't I was so. I mean,
i'd heard of the Aces and Eights. Actually i'd heard the story.
I don't ever I didn't know what it was, but I remember I probably
feel like I probably saw it in a Wikipedia, in a few Wikipedias,
and just kind of like I didn't. I didn't skim it, but I
saw Aces and Eights as a prominent heading for a certain number of of wrestlers
who wrestled in TNA or I probably first noticed it when I when we did
River of Darkness and I looked at Kurt Angele and Kevin Nash sure in that
one, um, but I mean I I just had no idea what it
was really and I kind of wish I still had that ignorance, that kind
of you know, well, in this case, ignorance is truly bliss to
pull the whole coganism of the week here on TNH. At the end of
the day, how many times could he say that on a promo I'm not
enough, honestly, I mean, and it's not just on the wrestling television
show, as we're about to find out, even when he's doing the media
circuit, because it's full circus mode. In twenty twelve. We touched on
it last week. We left a bit of a teaser. I mean,
twenty twelve is when it all blows open around the sex tape. This is
when TNAS like, uh, we didn't sign up for this because you know,
one of the things we're going to cover here this week on TNH is
Bound for Glory twenty twelve, in which the aforementioned Aces and Eights face off
against Bully Ray and Sting in a tag team match with sort of you know,
Hulk Cogan trying to fend off the Aces and Eights is the backdrop,
and he does a run in and throw some right hands, so it is
Hogan related. But they put Hogan on the road to do all the media
tours. I mean, that's why you bring in Hulk Cogan, right,
because he can get on Howard Stern, he can get on Sure Sway in
the Morning, he can get on mainstream television shows Good Morning America. But
I'll be damned if as soon as Impact signs with this guy, every single
reason that anybody in media wants to talk to him is stuff that has absolutely
nothing to do with wrestling, because yeah, obviously only can mention, if
at all, to tangentially mention TNA without any extrapolation about what it is or
why it's important. And this is going to be the Hull Cogan Tour of
brother. I just can't believe that my best friend was involved. And you
know, I've made mistakes, and I was at my lowest of my low
when I absolutely obliterated Bubba the Love Sponge's wife on camera when I said,
oh fuck, I'm gonna come, and then came as we're going to talk
about I mean this, it couldn't be more straightforward. He fucked hard and
it was on tap. Twenty twelve is the year will we learn about this?
And so it is perhaps only fitting as we put a bow on these
an ultimate year of Hulk Cogan an Impact Boss. This is twenty thirteen,
is it? That's the last year of Hulk Cogan an Impact Wrestling? Right?
Yeah, I mean we're already there. Yeah, not not sooner enough
the doorstep of wrapping up that penultimate year. This has to be the show
then where we really do a bit of an autopsy on the sex tape scandal
that's so uh epitomized what a Hull Cogan was and what he had become a
whole Cogan Hgan. I think we're about to find out why does a Hulk
Cogan become. We're going to find out that, I'm going to find out
what he calls the hul Cogan and his pants brother, and we're going to
find out a whole lot more this week on TNH because this is where all
the cross currents start to collide. From the very beginning of TNH, we
talked about how it's not just about what he does in the ring on Impact
Wrestling, that this whole thing's about. It's about the stage in life that
the greatest you know draw in the history of the business should never find himself
in the most unflattering lights imaginable that hul Coogan found himself in all at once.
And he's showing up bleary eyed to Howard Stern like, I didn't even
sleep last night. Brother. He's he's failing to properly manicure the fu man
chew dud. Dude. You know what I came in, brother, but
I didn't get breakfast. Dude, tell me more someone. You know,
my buddy wasn't here to make me an oblement. Brother. Everything's falling apart.
I think he I think he chose Bubba, just like Brooke teen.
He chose the producer over you. Everyone's turning on the Hulkster. He's got
his son's drag racing team living at the house in bel Air with his son
because his wife has moved out and taken all their stuff. And this is
you know, during the course of when the tape was made which was back
in like two thousand and seven. I think when the actual deed went down.
Um, he was at odds with Brooke, which is ironic considering they're
very much tied at the hip at this exact era and TNA she's still,
you know, administrator of the Knockouts division on TNA television every week. But
he even you know, he looks for counsel from Heather Clem, Bubb's wife
post coitus after blowing his fucking load about what to do about how Brooks turned
on him and how Brooks said fuck you just like Linda used to him.
So it's it's full circle in so many ways here in twenty twelve, and
chickens are coming home to roost for one Terry Bolea. How he navigates it,
of course, is endlessly fascinating. And let us close some loops and
perhaps introduce some new ones this week on TNH like loops. And if we're
going to do that, we have to manicure the aforementioned fu Manchu and I
can't think of a better way to make sure those edges are sharp and make
sure that fucking bush is Heather Clem appropriate with the remnants of Clem than doing
it with our folks at Mandscape because support for the Last Focusing Podcast brought to
you by manscaped Best and Men's Below the Waiste Grooming brother Es, What do
we know about below the waist? We know everything about below the way.
We're the kings of below the Waist. You know, we know how to
we know we know how to use our instrument, and we know how to
penetrate others. Uh, how would you say? Uh? Trying to think
of something concert Hall, I mean below the waist is also, of course,
where you obtain leverage to roll one up. That's true, that's true,
get one over on rue unsuspected individual. What So it's only appropriate that
manscaped um is a proud sponsor of TLF. As we journey through t NH,

We're talking twenty percent off free were wide chipping with a promo coded lapsed.
That's what you enter and let me tell you. Let me tell you
something. The air, right, so so so today alone, you know,
or you know, for Mother's Day weekend, I used I used the
the bottle of the of the body wash. Oh you did, I use
the body wash this this weekend for Mother's Day? And uh, you know,
and then you know, I I decided, hey, you know,
let's let's use the dean, you know, let's love sure, let's see
what exactly right on my balls. Let's fucking gorky rubbing around there in the
in the crevices, you know, and and and you know, my wife
was like, what is that? What you smell so fresh? I mean,
what's what's going on down? I said? I said, well,
hey, you know, I mean, take a look at these and she
said, those balls are as smooth as as folks in love. We're talking
about sixteen million balls treated. Okay, and damn right, I mean Bandscape
dot Com promo code lapsed. We're talking about the Performance package four point zero.
This is a game changer. You're going to get the lawnmower four point
zero trimmer. Oh yeah, yeah. We've talked a lot about just how
how well designed and engineered those trimmers are. We use a lot of clippers.
We are bearded gentlemen over here, and you know the precisions there,
the the the safeguards against you know, accidental knicks are there such that they
feel confident telling you to about accidents. Yeah, that's just I was like
a fucking down the metal. Uh all right, well a weed whacker.
You're a nose here trimmer also here for you in the performance package four point
zero weekend because I have itches up there, yes, my god, so
easy, so like it's like I have a like different nostrils, yes,
totally different nostrils than I have before, so clean, so not itchy.
Not being able to find like what the fuck is that is? That is
that little tickle? Oh? Fuck? I hate it? So it's the
worst. Do you ever get one sort of like on the tip of your
mustache that hits the corner of your mouth? I can't, I can't stand
it. It's always one hair. There's one, there's one two. I
mean, this is this is not necessarily with the nose hairs, but there's
one I'm on the stash area that just kind of curls up and just kind
of like tickles the inside of the nostril at the very edge, Like fuck
you, it's an abomination is what it is. And look, there's a
lot of little details with the with these things. It's good shit. Man.
There's a lot of ways to get it under control. But we would
suggest the only TLF approved way to get it under control, the only way
to let Landscape know that your co chairman conversions, because that's the world we
live in today, and so as the fucking Dominant Wrestling podcast we are,
we certainly step up to the plate and take our swing. We're going to
let you know that Manscape does the place. Do a crop preserver, ball
deodorant, crop reviver, towner, performance boxer briefs, a travel back to

grooming and dare I say, the greatest ball trimmer ever. This is a
fourth generation trimmer from them features a cutting edge ceramic blade to reduce grooming accidents.
Thanks to their advanced skin safe technology, the Lawnmower four point zero is
waterproof. It also has a four thousand k led spotlight that helps you quite
a bit when you need a more precise shave and because This trimmer is waterproof.
You can say goodbye to the mess on the bathroom floor. And you
thought that was good, but you want to take your grooming game even further
to the next level of Performance Package four point zero also includes the weed Whacker
nose and ear hair trimmer. The weed Whacker is also waterproof, provides proprietary
skin safe technology which helps the reduce nicks, snags and tugs, hoof and
those delicate nose holes. Now is absolutely right, Row Preserver, bald Deodorant,

what I meant to say. Thank you. Um, you need to do
it with the TLF approved brands, and tight Nutrition is certainly um that category

brand too, approved brands. Did you say brand approved brands? That's what
I said. Okay, so this is a brand approved brand. This is
this is a brand that has approved by other brands. Do you know anything
about Titan Nutritions vitamins? Um, well, you know the thing about Titan
Nutrition and Titan you know, Uh, tighten the injectables is a folks.
Just to be clear, I mean we we definitely try to move that needle,
that's for sure, more than one of we can. And people people
say they have no idea. You know, we're constantly in the process of
of of regarding nutrition, trying to do a complete digital transformation along with with
the with achieving best practice and you know, in the award for best practice
in the field of digital media, so the award or best practice in the
in the realm of digital transformation in nutrition goes to Titan Sports. Yes,
paradigm, you know where where we are. We are constantly, you know,
trying to disrupt holistic learnings in nutrition, Yes, and and and being

Lapsed to enjoy all their great products and to let them know that it's more
than worth it to smile upon the Lapsed Fan Wrestling podcast because we were ciprocated
around here. That's right, that's right. We certainly go the extra mile
and trying to add value for your Patreon dollar. We dropped a cinemat this
week that is among the most critically acclaimed in the history of the series.
Of course, available to patrons only in the EP and above tier Boss tell
him about the Marine three. Well, we you know the Brine three.
What you need to know about the Marine three? If you if you needed
to know a little more about the Marine three, then before you got a
little bit of taste you get you get a taste of someone who was there,
of someone who have the experience of working side by side with with with
Mike, the Miss Mizzenin and you know those on the main field. They
get to enjoy the interview with our boy Mason, son of a bitch.
That guy amazing, just seriously a guy who was on set who got selected
to be a ww fan that can be an extra in this WWE Studios production
and has so many great stories about how he got on the film, his
his his history serving in a rock as as an armament. I'm gonna try
to make that a thing as much as I can. In regards to I
think that'd be a lot of fun to get the fans who are in the
movie if if that ever happens again, I don't know, we'll find out.
Yeah they do that, don't Yeah, I don't know. I'm not
sure. Um, you know twice and they're both miss movies. I don't
know why that's the case, but um yeah, you know, just an
absolute treat. I mean, beyond that, just what a bizarre you know,
we talked about the state of WWE Studios and how you know where they're
at in in in twenty eleven, twenty twelve, the timing of the making
of this movie, and it was a real you know, I've that's something
that I didn't really anticipate, even though I should have. As we were
doing this was really discussing, you know, over the course of Under the
Cinemat really the trials and tribulations of WWE Studios. Oh yeah, it's a
costnitary story, it is. It absolutely is. So you want that to
hear things talk about it on a quarterly investors conference call when it's not going
so well and it's clear that investors are losing their patients with this vanity thing
called WW Films. It's just wonderful to hear Vince literally contort and I mean
assault to the English language, trying to let me, let me tell you
it wasn't just a world a word salad, it was a word salad bar
and he went, all right, he had backs and thirds on that ship.
Just unreal, unreal. And we're half the halfway point. We're at
the halfway point. So next up the Marine four Yes, going through every
installment of the Marine franchise. Of course, in some ways WW films signature
franchise. Yeah, really kind of is their flagship franchise there. So under
the cinemat just keeps getting better, a really flagship better episode this week.
And we definitely encourage you, if you haven't yet to join us. Join
the Solar system at patreon dot com, slash the lapsed fan, join the
paying public, join the public that we will pull on the boat and let
the rest sink. You know, in terms of the Titanic analogy, join
join the group that says, you know what, in this sort of completely
derivative and sad and stupid media culture we live in, there are still people
that if you deliver for them and you work hard for them, they will
pay you for your content. Yes, if this isn't some bullshit free for
all where you get pennies on the dollar for completely feeding an engine that can't
produce any compelling content itself and has to rely on, you know, user
generated content to build a billion and billion and billion dollar business model with her
to say fuck that. Yeah, you know who we are. We want
to know who you are. You know why we're here exactly. And you
think the main show here is good enough, join us on Patreon and get
under the series at Wressell. Mommy of this Mother's Day season, Hey,
you know what, you know what, I have to give a shout out
to Uan. I didn't see any other one, so I apologize that there
were other people, but m Paul the Saints fan and Blake they both sent
my mom happy Mother's Day wishes. Yeah that was nice touch, so great
my my mom. I told him, I send screenshots to my dad and
they loved it. They get a huge kick out of it. So that's
great. Much appreciate it. Yeah, yeah, what a sleeper hit.
That's man. That's available only to the tip top tier. And we understand
if you were able to takes, but many do and so we continue to
serve them over in the LT tier, the mother of all tiers. For
a skin fifty fifty quid a month, you get that fucking premium access as
well. Absolutely, you to signal something to your chairman. You signal that
this is the way forward. Catering to people in that bracket is the way
to make all of this sweat worth it. And we love all of our
patrons, make no mistake about but we understand the context and the economy and
the society in which we live, and we must bracket and we must cater
to high fucking payers. And you know what, the the the the mot
the motors, they got a treat because they watched Uh, they get to
hear my mom react to Sasha Banks versus Charlotte Flair Helen a cell from twenty
sixteen. Yeah, and by the way, if you're a mote tier member.
The boss is not above totally taking your suggestion. Please please do,
please do. I honestly we've gotten some. They're on the list now.
Um, I'm totally down with that. Whatever you want her to watch,
I will gladly put on the list. Kind of a steaky sleeper unspecified benefit
of being in that tip top tier. Yeah, well, we know you're
a motor like and you make a suggestion to us, it rises up the
consideration list. And and my mom's reaction to two women fighting him at giant
cage. That's what it's just what's missing. It's what we remember so fondly
about a childhood watching wrestling that allowed us to care. It's that counterbalance of
a parent that sort of looks down their nose at you lovingly yeah yep,
but realizes that you may never reach the expectations that they really thought you were
going to. Oh so he'll be playing with action figures in his thirties,
Yeah, yeah, for yeah, exactly, let's fucking golf. Patreon dot
com slash the Lapsed Fan, join the Circle of the Worthy. You get
ad free versions of this yere podcast. You get our part twos or Deep
Dives a day earlier than everybody else. You, of course get our monthly
WWE pay per view calls. We watch modern WWE, so you don't have
to just coming off for our backlash call. We've got the whatever they're calling
it in Saudi next Night of Champions as we sort of grapple with, you
know, the counter factuals. If we're going to make the case that it
used to be better, we have to be willing to watch how it is
now to keep that thesis alive. And man, do they serve us up
proof points every single month the way they choose to do business. So let
us suffer for you or suffer with us. And that's available to all tiers,
the three sixteen tier, our lowest tier does get it out on a
three day delay, but our ten dollars VIP tier and up gets it fresh
out of the oven on pay per view Saturdays or Sundays. So we're proud
to continue that work rate for the patrons as well. You make it worth
it, you know, it's that simple. We can't straight we can't front
as to whether it's worth it when when that that that pledge level is staring
us in the face every month. This is a virtuous cycle. This is
how it should be. So join us in a great way to count to,
you know, sort of converse with other members of the Solar system.
The comments underneath the files that we post on Patreon are always such a blast.
Every question we raise gets answered, every curiosity we have get satiated,
Every debate we hope to spark commences. Yes, it's just the way it
should be, the way the whole podcast ecosystems should work. The TLF Solar
System continues to demonstrate precisely how it can all click so neatly together. So
we do hope you'll join over at patreon dot com slash the lapsed fan.
So with that out of the way, we've got to turn our attention to
Holkogan sex tape. And I don't know how much of the time we spent
about this in terms of like where you were at. We do know you
weren't watching TNA and you're only vaguely aware that Hogan even went to TNA as
a lifelong holkamaniac. Yeah, yeah, but what do you remember about the
first time having a process the idea that Hogan had sex on tape somewhere?
I God, I'm trying to remember when I really found out about it,
and it seems like it just I don't really remember. Yeah, I really
don't remember how that all that all kind of went down. I forgot that
it was so closely intertwined with his time in TNA wrestling. I felt like,
because the trial was in twenty sixteen, that most of it happened after
he was gone from TNA. But I'll be damned if the actual court filings
in the Gawker case, this is the lawsuit that Hogan filed because Gawker published
the video or or a edited version of the sex tape, totally mentions TNA.
Wow, Because Hogan was on the road promoting Bound for Glory in October
doing media interviews when this suddenly what it suddenly hits now. The existence,
as we talked about last week on TNH of the tape, was known as
early as March of twenty twelve. That's when there are news reports that a
tape exists and that, in fact, there may be folks out there shopping
it around. Now, whether they were within their rights to have said tape,
whether how Cogan gave these folks any form of permission, but that sex
tapes right, you think fucking you know, Tommy Lee and Pam Anderson never
gave their okay for that thing to end up being sold commercially. Clearly,
there's a legal way to get this to the public and make money without the
people on the tape having to say okay. So you know, and when
that becomes the case, there become lawyers who specialize in drawing up the agreements
to protect the sellers. You come up with kfabe names, come up with,
you know, all these bullshit um documents that that reference people by pseudonyms
to get the deal done. And then uh, you know, a company
like Vivid or some of the big DVD porn producers of the euro which so
far as I know, are totally gone now. I mean the idea are
there porn distributors these days? I don't even know. I mean, they
create just internet videos, right, they wouldn't have traditional you know, shoot
right with the old, the old sort of like thematic porns, you know,
like the like the fucking boogie Nights days. Oh well, geez,
that's yeah, it's even further back. They are glorious. But this is
back when you could still make a pretty penny off, you know, the
Kim Kardashian sex tape. But you can still make money off sex tapes.
But it's it's like these iCloud leaks that are just like you know, they
spread everywhere, but no one really signs a piece of paper at any point
that says we have the exclusive rights to distribute this and make money off of
it. But there was an ecosystem like that at a time where there were
brokers involved in shady lawyers who are willing to drop the papers to protect all
parties and get this thing out there and whole Hogan found himself enraptured in that.
And you know the thing was perhaps Bubba set up the surveillance and his
in his bedroom in his house with an eye towards that. This is just
you know, you talk about Hogan's paranoia, Who's can you imagine after this,
like the tailspin he went into in terms of eyes on him at all
times. Dude, I thought of all the people to do this too,
you were really fun. I mean, I mean, you're you just ruined
this fucking guy for life. He's gonna be he's gonna be peeking through the
blinds like Mel Gibson conspiracy theory for the rest of his life, oh Hogan,
and trust anybody only have one friend in his life and all that bullshit.
You know, wrestling is the only thing that loved me back. He's
doing that whole thing. Uh, and this happens um and um. Here's
here's a piece of tape. This is from um good Days, Acremento.
This is from March seventh of twenty twelve. It's on YouTube. It's a
new story from a I think it's an ABC affiliate show. And what I
like about this is it really just it reminds us of the tone of the
coverage, which is kind of kind of gone now, the whole sort of
Gawker way of like writing things up in a very um it's not jokey,
but it's like hyper sarcastic. You know, it's kind of like TMC does
it in a way. You know, this kind of like this language that
suggests that it's all just fun in games, even though you're like completely humiliating
and ruining somebody's Like I was gonna say, like somebody's life is completely on
the line, but it's just but it's a wrestler, So does is it
really on the line? Right? And everybody's in LA. So that makes
it okay. All the writers and everybody's in Lars. That means I guess,
you know, just making hay and making money off celebrities. You know.
Peccadillo's is like you know what I remember too, there was somebody I
God, I don't know who it was, but there was I think I
think you knew the person because I think he was a journalism major and Emerson
but he got a job at like TMZ. Yeah, he was on the
TV show sitting with Harvey. Yeah, yeah, so fucking funny. Oh
yeah, oh yeah, it's it's a whole thing. You gotta you have
to have the personality. You know, you see the television show they sit
around the news room and heart Heart. What's what's Harvey's last name? Harvey?
No fucking clue. Oh god, I can't believe I forgot his name.
That tells you a lot about how the media ecosystem has changed that that
guy's name would be on the tip how are we levin? What about on
the tip of everybody's tongue? Just ten years ago and now you hardly hear
anything about the guy sitting there sipping out of his you know what today would
be a yetti you know, cylindrical uh thermis thing and just like, oh
he did that, Like why would you do that? Oh? I know.
It's always like it's the way they kind of make themselves feel good about
reporting on it. Is like, yeah, yeah, this is kind of
silacious. But he's so dumb for putting himself from this position. How can
you how can you blame us for making money off of it when look how
dummy is or she is. That's they always tell themselves. Makes it okay,
what do you want me to do? Exactly? Fucking idiot exactly.
It always gets like what a bad PR job they did. Everybody knows what
the best PR move would have been after the fact, you know, stop
it stops. So the worst kind of Monday morning quarterback sit Like why did
he say this? Why did he say this in the state this Well,
you didn't know that that version of what he said was going to be a
total shit storm until it was. And I have news for you. Whatever
you suggested would have been a better way to handle it would have been the
same exact shit storm exactly exactly. Because when it's your turn in America,
it's your turn, exactly. There's no way around it. You know what
I'm saying, rude? You know what, everyone decides that you can never
be sorry enough, No apology will do right. And so here he is.
It's whole Hogan's turn in twenty twelve. It's funny and interesting that he
has a sex tape and he's the Hulkster, and there's kind of cringe because
he's old and he's gone through all this, you know what I mean?
Yes, and it ties in like all the public interest in its divorce and
you know, where were they in the marriage when this happened, Because this
happened when he was still technically married to Linda, but you know, he
was at an all time low. My marriage was essentially over. Brother,
any time I've ever had sex with anyone other than Linda, my marriage was
over. We were tactically separating. Dude, at that time, I could
fuck clearly, just ask anybody WCW talk about a fuck finish. So it
starts to come out that this tape exists, and it's being shopped around and
a lot of detail is still too unfurl because everyone assumes that it's Bubba,
because Bubba made the tape. It's Bubba's wife it's Bubba's bedroom, Bubba's scene
on camera walking in and out of the room before and after the act.
And it turns out it wasn't Bubba that sought to get this into the public
realm, you know, it's it's not why he did it, even though
he does make a remark on one of the videos that indicates that he's not
completely ignorant of the commercial possibilities of what he has just recorded. Um which
which is the thing that put Hulk Cogan over the edge in terms of creating
distance from Bubba, because he thought that remark was indicative of being set up.
And you know, if Hulk Cogan thinks you set him up, there
is no convincing him otherwise at that pat you set him up. Yes,
that's if you set him up. So again, here's this piece of tape
not just kind of giving us a sense of the fact pattern that was being
reported on around Hogan sex tape in twenty twelve, but also just kind of
like the tone that I think was the prevailing kind of like blase nature of
the thing for something that you know, send Hulk Cogan into such a tailspin.
It's it's kind of funny to hear how not Seriously, it's almost reported
on with the same tone as covering pro wrestling. Is you know, like
we have to acknowledge how absurd it is in our tone of voice, as
opposed to just laying the facts. So here's this hit Hogan news story too,
please, Okay, it's just what everyone wants to see. A sex
tape featuring Paul Hogan. No, I did not see this coming, is
it? The Mustache has its own tape for him. Well, let's just
say there's bondage involved. He didn't have to bring accessories. I don't even
know what that means. I'm told it's being shocked to a major adult film
studio. My crack staff T and Z has been talking about a portion of
the footage and showing a portion of the footage of Hulk getting undressed with the
naked unidentified man. Sorry, it says Brunette. You know for sure it's
not his ex wife or his current wife. I'm also told the best part
of the video his Hulk's song shaped tan line. Oh wow, I'd like
to see that if I would make that my screen saver. Remind me not
to come by your desk exactactly next dear future. I apologize for teasing all
morning long that it was the rock. He just seemed a little bit more
current that necessary. I mean, it's like it's like they I mean it
actually it does. You know. First of all, I remember that piece
of tape. Is that right? I don't know why I remember that,
but I remember hearing that like that when when you started we started playing Matt,
it was like whoa. I suddenly got like a brother a deja vu?
Whoa? But um, I mean it's like, do you really have
to be that harsh? They know we can meet. We have no compunction
about going in a Hulk, you know that. I mean, come on,
but I'm like, I feel bad for the guy. No one else
gets that treatment besides a wrestler. It's just fair game because he's alone,
because he's phony and you know it probably isn't real sex that he's having.
And then they had to do the thing about how he's not relevant in the
end. Oh man, That's kind of the tough part of this is like
Hulk is realizing and how this thing has covered that he's kind of like a
he's an earthWhile celebrity, his day, his day has come and gone.
It's now amusing. It's like a stop Bao had a sex tape, you
know, to use another Eric Bischof acolyte. Right, you actually got a
comeback? Actually, that is that? Right? Yeah? Right? Right?
Well yeah there there did develop a strategy, right am I wrong at
one point about just if you really want to get yourself back out there,
get a sex tape. Yeah, I mean that that that that was certainly
kind of a thing, um, you know, around like the Kim Kardashian
thing, because like I didn't, I was like I remember that. I'm
like, what the fuck is a Kim Kardashian? Same thing with Paris Hilton,
right, yeah, same thing. I was like, what the people
knew that the Hilton family, that there was this daughter that was kind of
like a socialite, but no one had no fucking clue. No one wanted
to see her on television until there was you know, video evidence of her
getting absolutely blitz creaked, absolutely, And so that's that society. That's that's
reality, and that's necessity. Some may say, so, yeah, that's
that. That's the tone intenor of just about all this, And that doesn't
make it any easier for these media organizations that have to defend themselves against defamation
claims. You know, it's it's one thing for like, you know,
a kind of studious, kind of hoity toity newspaper to make claims about the
public interest and all this and how we can't let you know, we can't
let people in power dictate what is publishable and what isn't, you know,
if we are to have our role in democracy. And Gawker tried that,
but it's like you're also Gawker. That's a problem. Yeah, in terms
of like you're here for the lalls and that's fine, but you can't pretend
you're not just to make a legal argument. I mean, you can try,
but obviously it didn't work, and so here we are. But that's
uh, that's kind of the that's the tone and tenor of all this.
And it's around this time, I would imagine, and I think court documents
indicate that Bubba the Love Sponge realizes he has a problem because he's now getting
these cryptic tweets of green shots. He would rather of pictures of the DVD
that he thought was in storage. Oh man upstairs at his radio office.
Remember last week we talked about how he had divorced Heather Clem in twenty eleven.
Yes, M, that's relevant because it accorded Abubb at least in the
story he told police and tells in Core papers. Um, as part of
that divorce, he wanted to get anything like that that was sort of sensitive
and to him important to maintain dominion over out of that house. He didn't
want anything that sensitive hanging around the house as they you know, jockeyed I
suppose over who was going to get on in the divorce. So he has
this these tapes moved to his office from his house. Uh. Their their
their DVDs, dvdrs, and one of them's Hogan. But there's three that
are that have Hogan on them. But there's others. According to Core Papers,
there are other uh tapes of Heather getting you know, absolutely blown out
from others u in Bubba's life. And this is the thing, this is
what Hogan always says when he was talking about this at the time, is
that you know, he knew they partied. So it's not like it's not
like, um, the many overtures made his way didn't didn't click in.
Yeah, you actually could do this if you wanted to, right, I
mean that that was they were they were swingers. They were swingers. That's
correct, and more than anything, it sounds like just Bubba, I don't
know if there's ever swapping going on, it was swingers to me kind of
indicates, you know what I mean, Bubba takes the woman and Heather takes
the man. But I think most of ant Heathers took the man and Bubba
just liked to watch. Bubba had the tapes he liked to watch afterwards,
not even necessarily in the room if what happened with Hogan is in the indication.
But he realizes that the DVD of Hulk Hogan and having sex with his
ex wife that he thought was in safe keeping and no one knew where it
was, is now in the public somewhere because there were these news reports that
describe the tape that he knows is his tape. There are things being tweeted
to him trying to basically, you know, see what we can get going
from a monetary settlement standpoint. Some could call it extortion or you know,
approaching the line of that I got this tape, what are we gonna do
and make sure it doesn't come out be a shamed if it came out,
you know, the whole thing. Yeah, and so and a police report.
Bubba says, you realize the DVDs were missing once a video clip from
the Hogan recording showed up online. Clem said he went to the box upstairs
and notice the only things missing where the sex tape DVDs. Can you imagine
You're like, oh my god, no, And then how can it be?
I mean, those no one knows where those things are. And you
go there and sure enough they're all the DVDs just where you thought they were,
in the little spiral there, but the Hogan ones are missing. Oh
shit, I mean, can you imagine? I would I would imagine that
that. You know, it's not going to take long for Hule Cogan to
think you're rolling them up. Absolutely, brother, Well, especially when and
this happens right when he's on the promotional tour for Bound for Glory. He
finds out. Obviously, he knows the tape is out there as early as
March, but it's October when he realizes. And TMZ, according to Hogan,
tells him this over the phone because they had generated a transcript of the
video that at one point Bubba makes the remark after the deed had been done,
and Hogan had left the house or at least the room, and Heather
still on the bed, and Bubba comes into the room and says something to
the effect of and we've got the exact quote here coming up in a minute,
although I've seen a couple of versions of it. Essentially, if we
ever need to retire, this is this is our way to do it.
And it's like, that's what sent Hogan off when he was told the Bubba
said that because all of a sudden the story Bubba had, which it really
holds up. It really does that arrival of his and the radio business in
Tampa who used to work with him but was trying to get his job and
get his spot as like you know, the hot shit shock jock or whatever.
Let me preface all this by saying, there's nothing in the world I
care less about than Tampa radio politics. But so that one of the guy's
nicknames was spice Boy. And there's another guy involved, Mike Culta, I
think, who was his agent. And these are the two people that court
documents clearly indicate swiped the material and set in motion a process to lawyer up
and find intermediaries to basically shop this tape back to Hogan's people to basically get
Hogan to agree to pay a whole bunch of money, so these materials never
see the light of day. And it's that process of signing that agreement that
led to the meeting in the hotel room in late twenty twelve where the FBI's
listening on the other side of the wall, as we conveyed last week on
TNA, to the very end of the episode, and then they as soon
as the check has passed for three hundred grands, so this tape gets returned
to Holtegan the agents bust in m Now, ultimately there were no real charges
that issued from that. You know, they did the sting, but they
never prosecuted anybody. And why well, you know, when, what does
Steve Borden have to do with it? Sorry, what does Steve Borden have
to do with it? Anything? You said the sting? Maybe that's why
Hogan was so close to sting in TA Yeah, there's something about being around
sting that I love. Dude, brother, what's going on? Does this
a sting? Like which sting? Is this? Is this the Joker sting?
Or is this the sex tape? Extortion sting. I just I love
the idea of hogany and an FBI sting. I just can't you know he
had the bandan on you know, he was a sunglasses, Yeah, sunglass.
He probably had the painter on beard. Oh working FBI. He had
the Oakleys on indoors in the conference room in the hotel. Yes, yes,
yes. And as soon as that check passes across the table from Hogan's
lawyers to be extorted the alleged stortionists lawyers, boom, here come the agents.
But again nothing came of that, so it wasn't really a case that
ever was publicly disclosed because there were no charges. And only at the charging
phase do you really start to do records of investigations become public and that people
coming to know about them. And so this kind of happened and went away
in twenty twelve, all before well, you know, Bubba's starting to Bubba
realizes the tapes have been swiped from him, but he does not know anything
about Hogan going to the FBI and saying, you know, these whoever,
these people are trying to extort me, and the FBI is suggesting setting up
a sting to nail them. So they can get all the right responsible parties
wire tapped and get them in the act. And Bubba doesn't know any of
this. Bubba is totally in the dark about how his personal video collection was
swiped this way. He has his suspicions, his strong suspicions, because this
feud with him and this other guy and Radio was very was very strong and
piqued and was reaching a boiling point. And if anybody would do it would
be him, if anybody would have the means, if anybody would know,
you know, the nature of what kind of stuff Bob had and where he
kept it, because apparently this was the subject of joking around the office quite
a bit, that there is a Hogan sex tape. And I don't think
any it crossed people's minds necessarily, like what could be what kind of mischief
could be done with those tapes? It was just hilarious that it existed,
right, you know how that is? Yeah, It's like no one thinks
about the legal ramifications when they've got something. They just think it's hilarious,
you know. They just can't stop trying to pop people with it, even
though if you thought for a second you might just be setting in motion a
crime. But that's fine in the case you're curious, and I know you
are that you know, we read in an earlier episode of tenh the exact
Gawker article that sort of, you know, brought this all to a real
head and led to Hogan suing Gawker, And it's you know, rather I
have to say, hilarious description of the tape. I mean, it was
oh, totally uproariously funny the way they describe its thermos cock and all that,
right, But this is a little more dry. This is, but
it is important. This is sort of like a blow by blow of the
tape filed oh my god, in accordance with one of the court cases.
And it's done sort of in a way that's like to mark four historic purposes,
like what happens when on the tape? Historic is the wrong word for,
you know, investigative investigative purposes, like where do we have to go
on the tape to find this moment? Where do we have to go on
the tape to find this? And so I thought for investigative purposes of course,
exactly right. So I thought we just you know, read that.
Actually, more more fittingly, I thought you would read that of course that's
probably a better idea. Uh, you know, you know what I mean.
Oh god, So we got a July two thousand and seven tape,
and we've got a July two thousand and eight DVD. There were three DVDs
in all. Um, but this is, um, this is really the
descriptions that I think matter in count So we're gonna lace you here and we're
gonna start with the July two thousand and seven tape. So if you can
give a time code as well. Oh my god, these were what you
know, investigators thought were the German points of detail along the course of these
tapes, just so we're all working from the same set of facts. Of
course, of course you know these these things are important. Um, all
right, so we got here. Uh uh these are these are investigative.
This is these the details of the Hulkogan Heather clemb Sex, saved from July
two thousand and seven, said into a personal recording device, Um, one
second Hagan on bad performing oral sucks on heaven Sure, seventeen seconds, bubb
the love sponge, clem hard and background saying you guys do your thing.
I'll be in my office if you need me. One minute. Actually,
you know, you know who should really be in charge of this, of
reading these things. It's a it's gonna be a Chief brunch. He's bad.
So a minute twenty seven Heather performs oral sex on Hogan. Five minutes
fifty six seconds. Hogan asked for a condom five minutes fifty seconds. Brother,
I'm sorry, brother, dude, we can't dude, brother, I'm
sorry, Hul, Mister Hulk, I don't know. I gotta read these
things just for the sake of of investigative purposes. Heather gets on top of
Hogan. They have any course eight minutes fifty seconds. Hogan has orgasm.
All right, so it's about three minutes of actually other course, it sounds
like ten minutes forty sec head a run shower for Hogan. Uh, twelve
minute. It won't get me a muffin? Is that what Bubba says?
Oh? That was Chief French talking. Sorry, can I get a blueberry
muffin? Please? All right? Twelve minutes twenty seconds. Heather comes back
in bedroom, lays and bed undercovers. Thirteen minutes thirty four seconds. Hogan
re enter his room says, put my Bubba shirt back on. Fourteen forty
yeah, state you know, states Nick Nick's Hogan's age as sixteen talking about
his behavior, uh fifteen twenty It comments on how Nick was driving his truck
wildly. You know, it's a grossiano accident. Was August twenty second,
twenty seven, twenty chief. So that's, uh, it's just fun.
That's kind of tough that he's That's why he's so fucking worried about these tapes.
I gotta be honest with you, like, yeah, I hate to
sen it, and I know it's embarrassing whatever to have a sex tape,
but he knows what else he says in that bedroom. That's the thing,
and it was it was the n words that really did himIt. I mean,
that really is what cost him everything in terms of like sponsorships, in
terms of the Hall of Fame, in terms of the ww contract. So
when we hear Hogan, like, you know, spinning this tale of woe,
you know, when these tapes come out and kind of leveraging the public
sympathy for being put in this position, just know that he's actually, in
my mind at least, and I could be wrong, but he's actually thinking
the long game and trying to run interference for what else is on these tapes,
and you know, doing whatever it takes to make it totally untendable for
anybody to release anything else about them. Chief Hu fifteen twenty Chief Yeah,
eight fifty Hogan has orgasm No no, no, her way past all right,
all right, that came and went fun fifteen forty five. Comments on
Nick's dating life, uh seventeen twenty. Hogan makes comment about one of knicks
friends, if you're getting divorced, you know, I want to go out
with you type made before divorce announced eleven twenty eight. Nineteen fifteen, Hogan
tells story of Coast Guard members giving him a hot time at the Odds Gentleman's
club. Brother. Yeah, apparently Kevin Nash has a as a gentleman's club.
Yeah, gentleman. I was at the strip clubs. I'll never stopped.
Dude. You picture him in there with this bandana. Oh yes,
Oh Hulk, I love your your your Jesus piece and your cutoff impact wrestling
t shirt. Of course, police cover it up. A possible crime alleged
the USCG members put a Litt cigarette in his gas cap. Video footage Police
arrested guys. No media coverage, that's a Hogan gutting some shit Coast Guard
members. What is he fucking trying to be? Shawn Michael's here trying to
get concussed by a bunch of marines and they put a cigarette in his gas
cap. That's fucked up. And imagine that one day we just like wake
up and Holgan's car blew up in the pot. Brother. You know what,
dude, I don't want to tell you. Dude. You know I
was you know one Tom Brother, I was at Oz's Gentleman's Club. Dude,
I'm telling you, I had about I don't droll trouble with like sixty
Coastguard members, sixty seventy eighty Coast Guard members. Capacity of the club was
fifty. I meant, not impossible talking at least at least one hundred Coast
Guard members. Brother. And you know what, the police cover this shit
up. Brother. You know they don't want the coast You know they're all
ryning. You know they're not telling the Coastguard see anything in the media,
did your brother? I mean, you didn't see me. You know,
they put a little cigarette in my gas cap. Brother, I could get
blown up. This guy's so fucking scared. I mean, he's he's he's
right to be, but he's so like a whole COVID. He is gonna
completely lose his fucking mind if he thinks like he can't even turn his car
ignition on. Oh, I mean he doesn't anyway, exactly, he has.
He has brutus to it first before he gets in the car every day.
He's particularly cruel to do this. It's a whole token of all people.
Heye, so twenty two I had the date session the parents' house was
broken into on the same day seven twenty seven, thousand and seven. Date
must be sure, says something that indicates what day had happened on. Oh
yeah, yeah, yeah, Let's look. I don't know. I don't
this is not my I don't. I don't know what's going on. Uh.
Twenty three twenty Hogan leaves shot at bedroom, empty bedroom, thirty seventeen
DVD ends about DVD two. Chief, all right, this is uh,
we're estimating late June early June two thousand and eight. What who said?
What says early July on the piece of paper, sir, not June.
It says June. This is late June, early July. Why would it
say late June early June. I didn't make the fucking no, clearly didn't
make the academy either. From the diploma mill. You got your fucking bachelor's
floor to get that pay bump. Hey, you know what I I I'll
tell you I passed with Flying College. Well a lot of people will do
because you don't have to show up for class. Well I did show up
everything. You know what? Fuck you? All right, all right,
I know what I'm doing. That's the bottom line. That's our chief brunch
wins arguments. I know what I'm chief brunches again. It's your fault for
not being with us under the cinemat. That's all I'm gonna say. What
episode do you need to turn to? If they can go to the fugitive,
that is a illustrious debut. A moment we decide his name is chief
Brunch. It's over because because because because of officers eaten and drank. Yeah,
I shot, you're not that's their name. In real life, we
get some chief Brunch top of it. I think it was. It was
kind of like one of the what is he she brunch? Yes, he
is Chief Brunch. One second Heather in the Hogan small Talk a minute forty
five, Bubba says he'll be in his office, tells him to have fun,
fun kids. Two two fifty Hogan, I started working out again.
Oh tell me more cool stories, brother, I start working, dude,
I'm working biceps, brother, And then heavens. Yeah, five minutes Heather
on knees performing arrow. Can we see this clip please? And does someone
get me a fucking enough my donut? Hey people? Eight in a course.
Uh, it's about four minutes of oral and then he penetrates her and
it is Howard and that's Howard Stern would say if she was on the show
and you loved it and you loved it and you loved it and you need
it and you want them more. Really in a minute ten minutes had a
dirty talk? Uh, ten fifty orgasm. Eleven twenty one, Hogan sprawls
naked on Bubba's bed. Bubba fantasizes, I don't know what that means.
Bubb's let's go eleven fifty six, had to wipe some clean someone's having fun
with these birds, brother, Seriously, especially this editorialize this next one.
Yeah. Twelve twelve five twelve thirty boring pillow talk? Can we just leave
the boring out, buddy, Vido, We're not looking for a review here.
We'll listen. I listen, all right, you know you can do
better better Pillow talking that uh seventeen minutes talk about brook her career. Eighteen
minutes Hogan leaves to Shawa head addresses. Twenty two minutes. Hogan comes back,
Heather talks furniture twenty three twenty talk of Linda, she sent the Texas
and happy Father's Day? When is this June juno eight th man, Yeah,
Bubba in his room twenty four minutes, twenty four twenty four h one
talk of Linda using the divorce and the reality show Brooks career uh twenty eight
fifty. Hogan explains how he is racist. He's racist to point the talks
about Brook fucking it's it's and yeah I had twenty nine twelve real racist comment.
Thirty two minutes. Story of Brook telling Hogan to fuck off leads to
a reality TV stories. We'll help you know. I just want to tell
you, first of all, thank you so much for signing my my championship
belt. I've always been such a big fan of yours, and I always
just want to ask you one question. When you told Heather clem that Brook
don't get the fuck off? Why didn't she tell you to fuck off?
What was the story there? Uh? Brother? Well, you know see,
here's the thing, dude, I think we gotta don dial this one
back. You know we're talking, brother, you know, I mean I
understand that that's what kind I came across. Brother. Well, I mean,
to be quite honest, you know, we gotta kind of stop playing
Hide the ball, brother exactly. You know, kind of stopped playing Ying
and the Yang. Dude, brother, it's time that we stopped playing.
You know, where's the burrito? Brother? Right? All right, dude,
you know you know it's time to stop playing. You know. Oh
you know, I'm sitting in my chair. What are you gonna do to
me? Brother? It's time going to stop playing? Hold on, it's
time to stop playing. Oh I'm sitting in my chair. What are you
gonna do to me? Brother? Always always a favorite game in the old
neighborhood. I'm sitting in my chair. What are you gonna do to me?
Brother? Hey? Can we can't play sitting in the chair? What
are you gonna do to me? Brother? From Hasbro? It's like it's
the same thing as Operation if you touched like the frame of the chair.
You got a shot chair from Tonka, sit in the chair. What are
you gonna do to me? Brother? I think, just what are you
gonna do to me? It's a pretty funny name for a board game myself.
What we're not gonna do to me? Brother? So that that's by
the way, That was hell Cogan's answer to my question what the reference was
to brooke down the fuck off? I said, thank you? Thirty eight
fifty seven. Bubba tells Hogan he is his best fucking buddy, gets him
okle Jesus h forty yeah, forty thirty ye. Hogan tells Bubba to never
let Linda yah Hogan on his deathbed. All right, we get clarity on
what's Linda gonna do to him on his deathbed? I don't get it.
What the fuck is there? Maybe like pull the plug, gotta get a
visual to fall on his corpse. Well, don't even know what the fuck
that? Jesus christ U forty one twenty Bubba sucking up how he is a
great picture of Ruthie. It's Hogan's mom. Great picture of Ruthie Hoodie.
I picture like you wouldn't believe with Ruthie. We both love Ruthie how much.
However, the Hawaiian how about hin This version brought to you by Ti
and Rihanna with the head Haba, the hoot Haba, the head and Harbor,
the hot hot and Hubbor, the love, the hubba, the love
however, the sponge and however the hoof sponge. So live your life five
forty three fifty three. Ogan leaves Bubba walks him out, have in bed
watching TV, blows her out fifty one forty six. Bubba says, if
we ever did want to retire, all we had to do is use that
footage of him talking about people. There it is uh fifty two forty five
Davidians, So this is tremendous. The full quote there, according to this
piece of documentation is if we ever did want to retire, all we have
to do is use that footage of him talking about people. So what Bubba's
saying there is not it looks like also redacted people, right. But he's
not saying we're going to sell a sex tape of Hull Cogan. He's saying
we're going to sell a tape of Hogan saying things he should not be saying.
Or at least right leveraged that. But that isn't people don't know that
right away. All people know is there's a sex tape and let's be frank,
until people hear that he used the N word, that's all people care
about is that, right Holk, Hogan had sex on tape and it's hilarious.
So Hogan's going out with the whole you know, I can't believe my
friend did this to me. And he says, this is our retirement and
everything, and he says it like what Bubba like Bubba was referring to marketing
a sex tape as the key to their successful and that's not what that says.
That says, we caught Hogan, you know, fuck that he had
sex. It's all what we're interested in. What actually is leverage is what
he says after the sex is done and gone and forgotten, which I think
is an interesting distinction that isn't often made. Totally. No, I don't
think that that is. I mean it it's really about the other shit that
coincidentally actually got them in trouble. Absolutely, And so this hits the National
Enquiry at some point in twenty twelve two. This is sort of the first
public inkling, according to court papers, of the fact that there's more on
these tapes and that there's things that perhaps are even more damaging with the Holster
in terms of his tirades. It readsbusted the full transcript of Hogan's n word
rant. Now there is some at some point during the court filings, there
is sort of like a side by side bracket of what this National Inquirer article
says was said on the tape in quotations, by the way, and what
a closer review once the tape becomes discoverable as evidence and people can actually,
you know, on both sides of the legal dispute, listen to the whole
thing what it actually says in transcription. So there's some there's some sloppy transcribing
here basically, but the point gets across. Nonetheless, the article read in
a Blockbuster World exclusive, the National Enquirer is providing the entire transcript of the
tape. Hulk Coogan does not want you to hear or read. We tracked
it down interviewing multiple sources with direct knowledge of its existence. Here, in
his own words is Hulek Cogan's full racist rant. I should probably go to
try and head home and beat Nick home. This is for you, This
is for you. What am I doing? This is whole Cogan himself,
for God's sakes. Oh my God, get you to work here, Go
ahead, brother, No, sorry, that's how gonna do it? Brother?
What who put this in here for you? All right? Get that?
Yeah, go with it, dude, busted, brother busted. The
full transcript of Hogan's and words rant and a Blockbutch a world exclusive. The
National Enquiry is providing the entire transcript off the tape. Hulk Hogan does not
want you to hear or read. We track it down interviewing multiple sources with
direct knowledge of its existence. Here, in his own words is Hulk Hogan's
full racist rock. Please don't read you know what I mean? Well,
yeah, I know, thank you. I should probably go to you know,
go try at home, you know, beat Nick home. No,
there's so much BS in my life. I want. I want to try
and not lose everybody. You know. I feel bad for Brooke. She's
making some real bad decisions now. Yo, Linda's fucking up my MTV show.
You know, my my daughter Brooke jumps sides on me. Dude,
I spent two to three million dollars on our music career. I've done everything
like a jackass. For the one option Brooke had. Brookes career besides me
is sell Beach records. Yea, some Beach records. Is um, it's
not what was said. I think it was something like, uh um,
beach was misheard. He doesn't, he doesn't say beach. It's not really
that important. But go ahead, some black billionaire guy. You know,
I don't know if Brooke was fucking the black guy's son, you know whatever.
I mean, you know, I don't know what's going on. I
mean, I don't have double standards. Okay, Terry, now, I
mean I mean to a point, you know, fucking but then when it
comes to nice people and shit and whatever. I mean, I'd rather if
she were if she was gonna if she was gonna fuck the oh I'd rather
marry like an eight ft eight foot tall Oh man, it sounds like vomit
for a reason worth one hundred million dollars, you know, like a like
a basketball player. I guess we're all the racist fucking know. Yeah,
Jamie Fox coming in on a second on twenty second track. Oh, Jamie
Fox is gonna do a track on the album the twenty second track. I
mean, okay, why are there twenty two tracks on the fucking album?
All right? Dude? So that alone right there? I mean, I
mean, there's some greatest hits album. They don't have twenty two fucking tracks.
How does he put any time track? And read that again for me?
Please? He had Jamie Fox coming in on the twenty second trial.
I didn't even tell Brook about a fuck her, dude, he says.
He says, fuck her? Yeah. Wow. You know Brooke and and
and name with him named with held by the inquirer met in Miami. Dude.
You know, Brook fucks up a ten million dollar deal I had with
the Saudiast What I understand, Palm? Yeah, I was gonna say,
totally understand what you know? Brook says, fuck you dad. You know
she's never said that she flipped a bird at me. I have this huge
fucking house in Miami. He does you fuse in Miami? You know my
family never comes home. You know they went to La fuck them. That's
tremendous. Uh. Yeah, that's it, man. So the side by
side, that's um ah. That compares the FBI transcript of the tapes to
the National inquiry report. Um says that instead of to sell Beach Records,
what was said is besides me is South Beach Records, not sell Beach Records,
but South Beach Records, which was a record label that was involved in
at one point in Brooks career. Um, okay, I mean I'd rather
if he was gonna fuck a and word, I'd rather have her marry an
eight foot tall, one hundred million dollars basketball player m Jesus Christ. Dude
cecil that they were dacted by the way um who was in the guys a
a producer. So that comes out two in twenty twelve, So it doesn't
take that long, you know, for there to be word about this,
But it takes it takes a while for it to come out to the point
where it's undeniable and it's like on tape and nobody can walk it back.
Yeah. And other other descriptions of the tape have Bubba simply saying, if
we ever didn't want to retire, all we have to do is use that
fucking footage of him talking about people, again, reiterating the point that Bububba
was making reference to was Hogan's verbal comments, not his physical activity on the
tape. Here's here's how it read at TMZ. At the time, TMZ
has seen the last few minutes of Holt's leak sex tape, in which he
bangs Bubba's wife, Heather, claim it's very clear Bubba was in on it.
Moments after the deed is done and Hulk leaves, Bubba says to his
wife, if we ever did want to retire, all we'd have to do
is use this footage, and they cut it off at footage right, Yeah,
no, His wife shoots back, You'd never do that. Bubba then
tries to recover, saying I wouldn't do that. You'd be the biggest rat,
You'd be dead. So it's there. Plus, they're not even making
a real plan to do it. It's just like a flippant remark that Bubba
makes. You know, Um, I'm real and you wonder, you know,
where does this attorney come into play? Um, there's an attorney who
whole cog ensues along the way as well, who's sort of doing the bidding
of the parties looking to sell this video that they surreptitiously acquired basically stole from
Bubba's office. And you know, how do you get a lawyer. Well,
according to some of the core papers, the person who possessed the tapes
contacted TMZ about what he had and TMZ put him in touch with a lawyer
that would smooth the path to get this into their hands in a way that
can you imagine that it's not this sort of schemestir right, coming with the
credibility of a lawyer behind him with this tape to TMZ hat in hand.
It's TMZ saying all right, well, we need this, we want this,
here's what you need to do. I just thought that was such a
fascinating little deal. I never considered that TMZ has a whole playbook for how
to like actuate this stuff when some you know, random person approaches them claiming
to have the goods. So it makes me very happy that they were for
that. They actually lawyer him up and during a meeting, the attorney,
his name is Davidson, said he broke he had broken other sex tapes with
celebrities that could have put them in bad lights, such as Kanye West.
So I don't know if anyone knows this, there's a Kanye West sex tape
out there? Is there? Really? Well, according to this lawyer,
he was representing to others that he he put an end to the distribution of
a tape with Kanye West and some other high profile celebrities. So he's the
man for the job. Yeah, let me tell you something, all right,
sure you know, I'll look at this hogans. Let me tell you
if people knew what I knew, Yes, if people knew what I knew,
I could, I could, I could get Kanye in royal Trump.
Well, I talk about TNA law boss, and don't don't, don't you
even fucking mess me this lang Kang kan kang popa. That's TNA law on
And as far as what happened you know, around the extortion piece of this
case and why there were no criminal charges filed, which Bubba eventually realizing that
he's taking the real fall here in terms of like not only is he,
you know, the person responsible for filming the thing, but now he's been
cast as the person who somehow will gain by the distribution of this thing when
really was stolen from him. I remember tenth, two fifteen, I met
This is from a prosecutorial note on an investigatory note. On November tenth,
two fifteen, I met with statewide Prosecutors Nick Cox and Mike Williams. This
case was presented then for consideration of prosecution. This is prosecution against the people
who stole the tape and we're looking to sell it. Statewide Prosecutor Cox diated
that he would speak with his superior as to get back. On November thirteenth,
twenty fifteen, I was informed at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office as
well as the office of the Statewide Prosecutor, decline to prosecute or file charges
in this case. Therefore, this case is exceptionally cleared. No explanation as
to why, No need to explain, what's your problem. Shortly after this
court ruled the fruit to the extortion attempt against mister Blaya would be inadmissible at
trial. That's another key thing. The whole Gawker trial goes beginning to end.
Hogan wins the judgment, and it's never mentioned that the FBI investigated this
whole thing, that the extortion piece of it was completely deemed inadmissible in trial.
But after the verdict, Gawker comes back and does a series of records
requests and makes a series of emotions that bring them into receipt of these materials,
and that's when the thing takes on a further life of its own,
because we have even more to chew on now, because now the records are
clear that Hogan said that, that the FBI knew Hogan said this, that
there was this whole rigama role about trying to stop the tapes from being released
around the remarks made on the tapes. So mister Balais fears it reads that
Gawker defendants made publicly disclosed sealed discovery heightened one. On July tenth, twenty
fifteen, Denton, this is the editor of Gawker, posted a story on
Kinja affiliated with Gawker, flaunting that changes a website flaunting that mister Blair's quote
unquote real secret contained within highly confidential attorney's eyes only discovery in this case would
soon be revealed. What is this a fucking t Anda storyline? We need
to reveal every couple of quarters At that time worse, at that time,
pursuant to the courts protective order, Denton was not authorized to receive or even
no about any of the contents of the FBI's extortion investigation file. But he
did. But he did apparently as a result, well, mister Balaa promptly
filed an emergency motion brother, seeking clarification and confirmation that the materials to which
Denton optically eluded would remain protected. Protect these materials, brother, who told
me these would never see the lighted day? Dude? And so the faith
the faithful moment comes. In October sixteenth, twenty and twelve, Hulk Hogan
sues Bubba Gawker over tape. Wow, this his days before Bound for Glory.
Actually let me nail down the exact data bound for Glory that year?
What was it? Let's see bound and they all bound for Glory News October
fourteenth was Bound for Glory website filed two days A pardon me lawsuit filed at
least article about the lawsuit two days later. Let's hit a piece of tape
that kind of takes us behind this part of the of the story where Hogan
actually now is after all this time, after Bubba making his tour through TNA
in twenty ten and helping Hogan, you know, sort of regale the TNA
Faithful with his presence and getting smashed in the face by Mick Foley, which,
by the way, yeah, he has since done a radio broadcast saying
that all the bruises on his face were done by a makeup lady and that
mc foley did not make contact and they just they resolved to make it look
that way. So fold that into your fact pattern, because exactly, we
came away with the distinct impression that because even Mick when he was on Bubba's
radio shows, like, really, I thought, I thought I did get
you, So I don't know, I'd like to talk to me. Also,
I'll let me tell you this too. I also don't put it past
Bubba the Love Sponge to try to save face. Literally, yeah, I'd
like to talk to this makeup lady, is all I'm saying. Exactly.
But I figured that was as opportune moments. We're going to get to mention
that because that came out subsequent to us, or at least I found it
subsequent to Uh, I was talking about that moment in Tienna history. So
we're full circle now. I mean, Bubba goes from being his best friend
on television every week to being referenced all the time, to being sidelined to
getting divorced for reasons that we're going to find out actually might have concerned Holk
Hogan to Now, Hogan is suing Bubba and the two will never talk again.
Hit Hogan news story one for that piece of mist It's this sex tape
that asgan emotionally on the ropes. Mister Hogan had no knowledge that he was
being videotaped. He did not consent to the taping. In this six year
old video, you can see the wrestling star engaged in consensual sex with Heather
Clem. Clem, at the time, was married to Hogan's best friend,
Bubba the Love Sponge. In a press conference Monday, Hogan's attorneys say the
Clems knowingly took the video and leaked it in an attempt to make money.
The actions of the defendants was illegal, it was outrageous. Hogan filed this
lawsuit against Bubba and Heather in Tampa Monday for invasion of privacy. It's not
clear what he hopes to get on of it, but in his federal lawsuit
against Gawker Media, Hogan is asking for one hundred million dollars in damages.
Gawker is an online news site whereas sixty second portion of the sex tape was
posted for all the world to see last month, is not someone that is
going to allow himself to be victimized. Hogan's attorneys say they repeatedly asked Gawker
to take the video down. They didn't. Now comes this morning to anyone
else who decides to post or distribute the tape. If you do so,
we have plenty of rome on the front page of this complaint to add your
name. Okay, my name? So yeah, again, what does he
have to gain out of this? Stop the release of what else is on
the tapes? Right, exactly right. It's about making it seem like they
are big time consequences if you two want to make hay out of what else
is out there. So I'd ask Boss for you to open up one of
the documents that we passed along, Hogan Versconker Statement of un Disputed material Facts,
the three numbers at the beginning, and I'd like you to roll down
to page twenty seven, where the subheading reads undisputed fact number five prior to
any conduct by the publisher defendants there was Is this actual twenty seven or is
it twenty seven on the twenty seven of the pdf? Yeah, that's actually
both. Interestingly, that's a rarity. Usually don't get that note at all,
so read the section five there. Yeah, So what it's telling us
is that, you know, for Hulk to come out here and act like
he's being just irreparably harmed by the publication of this tape is to suggest that
up until this point, Hulk Hogan Sex's life had been a closed book in
terms of public remarks that he was, you know, somebody that M was
was bashful about this kind of subject matter being discussed and you know, just
tossed about publicly, and we you know, in the past, if excerpted
some of the things he and Linda said when they would call into Bubba of
alerted sexual nature. But here is just a straight up like series of facts
of how many times before this tape, the instance at this tape came out
and before all this lawsuit activity started in two thousand and twelve, that M.
Hogan was hardly shy about acknowledging the potential for this for this situation in
public. So let's start with the number seventy either HM. The topic of
sexual relations between Hogan and Heather Clem was first discussed publicly during in October twelve,
twenty eleven, appearance by Hogan on the Howard Stern Show. In the
midst of a discussion of whether the Clems, who had just separated were going
to end up divorcing, including whether there was any cheating involves, Turn asked
Hogan, would you ever fuck Heather? Hogan responded no, citing man law
brother. Wow. Wow. At the time of Hogan's denial, he had
already engaged in sexual relations with Heather. Clams you very much. You don't
think Howard knew that? You think you just asked that question for no right?
Come on, I want to see if Hogan would lie to him and
what was the answer. He would and he did? What? Who?
What lied to Howard Stern about fucking but his wife? Brother? I didn't
lie, dude, I just didn't acknowledge the truth. What excuse me?
What's the difference? What? Yeah, exactly? What do you think the
difference? Well, he asked you, why are you asking this? Brother?
He asked if there was any cheating involved, and he said, would
you ever? Would you other fuck Heather? Would you ever? Time?
Brother? Let me put you this way, dude, Yes, I had
fuck Heather Clem brother, But because brother, he didn't say had I He
asked, would you would you ever? At that not would I ever,
And no, I wouldn't, brother, because I had fucked her, Dude,
But I wasn't fucking her now, nor would I in the future.
Do you really think that's what he was asking? He didn't, Brother,
I answered the question truthfully and honestly. Brother. If he wanted to know
had I fucked Heather? It's an awfully clumsy way to ask the question,
all right, right, I was seriously, dude, I mean, brother,
I think that that is, you know, for being such a good
interviewer. Brother. I think he kind of dropped the ball. Well,
I think further, I don't know Jerry dropped the ball, Dude. I
think I answered truthfully because I think what he was asking me was would I
ever do it from this point forward? I didn't, Dude, I wouldn't
do it from this point forward, nor would I do it from this point
I wouldn't want to do it from this What are you talking about? I'm
talking about whether. I'm talking about what your answer would have been if Howard
Stern asked you have you other fuck? Have you ever fucked Heather? Instead
if he asked how I ever fucked? Brother? But it's irrelevant, dude,
because he didn't ask that. Brother. Are you saying you answered that
question truthfully? I'm at I answered when when? When Howard Stern asked,
dude, he said, would you ever fuck Heather Clumb And the truth is
no, I wouldn't. I asked, I would not do it because I
don't in the past, brother, and now in the future, dude,
given that there was a separation involved. You believe in that bro code.
Brother, Hey, you know when you've done wrong. And I would not
ever fuck her, No, brother, not from from here forward. No,
no, brother, no, dude. No. And I don't abuse
steroids. I don't abuse steroids. I did steroids, I don't abuse them,
and I'm not currently on steroids. Brother, I didn't. I did
fuck her, but I wouldn't. I'm not fucking her, but I'm not
fucking her now, nor would I fuck her in the future. All Right,
Well, I guess that's as far as we're gonna get with that one
number seventy one. Please. Despite Hogan's public denial, in early twenty twelve,
there was widespread discussion in the radio community about a sex tape involving Hogan
and Heather, Clem Richard, Piers, Babba, Clem's former employee testified that
quote prior to anything being published on the internet, It's spread through radio pretty
quick. There you go and quote. It wasn't just people that were in
the satellite world, but the discussion extended to the terrestrial world too. It
got around in radio to people kind of fast. Pierce received an instant message
that with what he described as quote a timeline of the video footage, and
explained that he had been hearing such rumors for a couple of months before receiving
the instant message. There's an interesting footnote prior to that. The topic was
raised, albeit in jest, during a December first, two thousand and six
broadcast of The Bubba the Love Smuns Show. This is a year before the
tapes were no God there, Bubba Clam played a parody sketch that portrayed Hogan,
Bubba Clam and Heatherclam and what the sketch described as a threesome, with
the punchline being that both men were ignoring Heatherclam sexually.'m rolla, I'm
kind of interested in this idea, dude, but not with you and me,
brother. But what if you know me and Heather right? And what
a five foot heather. You were there and I came bro sold number seventy
three. Never hana, Oh, don't do fucking would you fucking start?
But the nats Maha bubble then hand over the hub hub you my fucking saga
Banks on the bone. The bone, the bone, one oh six seven
the bone. Oh God, that's annoying. Yes, exactly, it's not
a hun yeah right, as he's as he's known in the Democratic Republic of
Congo. Brother, that's concerning it? Like what katmand Congo you're talking about?
Like can you a Congo? Brother? What can who? Now?
Finisher? Brother? What are you doing? Dude? This is a Joseph
Conrad novel all of a sudden, dude, Like at the end of the
day, seventy three Please, let's let's get to the first public appearance of
this rube. The first public report about a Hulkogan sex tape appeared on March
seven, twenty twelve, seven months before the publication an issue was published by
Gawker. On that date, the celebrity news website TMZ reported that quote a
sex tape featuring legendary wrestler Hulkogan has surfaced and that it is currently being shop
to a major porn studio. The next day, TMZ published two additional articles
on the sex tape story. TMZ also posted a satirical video about the sex
tape controversy, including about Hogan's wrestling persona and his family life. On the
day that TMZ broke the sex tape story, Hogan addressed the emerging sex tape
scandal during an interview that was broadcast on TMZ Live. Accompanied by his attorney,
David Houston, Hogan stated that he did not know what the woman who
the woman. Hogan stated that he did not know who the woman and the
tape, who had not yet but identified as Heather Clam might be, saying,
you know, between the divorce from Linda and the time I met Jennifer,
I had about four and a half months that I really want crazy.
I actually went wrote about in my book about saying drunken crazy and hitting all
the bar. So I was really out of my mind for a while.
After hearing a brief description about what was on the tape and being asked whether
that rang any bells, I say who the woman could be? Hogan responded,
well, you know, I'm not trying to be a smart, smart
Alec. You know, I'm horrible with remembering names, you know, dude,
But during that time, that four or five month window, while I
was going crazy, I was you know, the first thing I did was,
you know, when I sat down with Jennifer, I said, I
don't even remember people's names, you know, last weekend that I met.
I mean, I mean so many people, you know, much less girls
five or six or thirty years ago or five years ago whenever it was.
He's just I couldn't remember her name if I had to. And the truth
is it wasn't just one brunette. I was running pretty wild there for a
few months. He's amazing. That's awesome. It's like he's got the perfectly
timed you know, binges. He goes on to forget things. Yeah.
During that same interview, Hogan and as Attorney repeatedly joked with the show's hosts
about the sex tape, exchanging banter about the thung shaped tan line allegedly on
display on the tape, and also expressing mock relief that the tape did not
show Hogan with a guy. Houston, that was the only thing we thought
could be worse if it was a young male. So we were grateful.
Where the fuck did he get this guy from? Jesus Christ? Brother,
you can't make me look gay, dude, Okay? And is there any
other way to read that quote than there is a tape of Hogan with a
young guy out there. I know. Yeah, we were thinking, Holy
should I hope it's not that tape, you know, brother, No tape
exists. At That's what I meant to say. There's no sex tape featuring
Hulkogan. There's no sex tape featuring Terry Balaya, thank you brother. That
It's like when Jerry McDevitt says, like, you know, Vince had a
very real neck injury during the trial, but he ripped it off in the
right after the verdict the back at the hotel and was celebrating and spinning it
around his head. But I don't want you to think that the neck and
dree wasn't real. There. Look, there there is no sex tape.
There's never been a sex tape. There never will be a sex tape with
anybody girl, female or male or anything else. Right, Definitely, there's
definitely no I just want to put this. I want to put this to
bed. There is no sex tape. He Hulk Hogan was never taped having
sex with a young boy. Well, if you permit me a follow up,
please, I don't we're out of time. Oh, I say,
thank you. So it's it's a time where Hulk is taking advice from his
attorney in terms of what interviews to do when news first breaks of the existence
of the sex tape in early March twenty twelve, and yeah, and you
just hurt there kind of how Hogan shifts into a mode of let's actually try
to sell the story that I don't know who it is on the tape,
right that I was having sex with that there were so many Brunette's brother and
brother Brunette's brother. I don't know why, but in the early days,
the strategy was, let's pretend to not know who it was that we were
having sex with in the tape, which is of course completely ludicrous. I
mean there's I mean, a still frame will tell you it's clearly Bubb's bedroom,
let alone. I mean the movie. I wish we had some insight
on that because I really don't. To me, that's probably some of the
biggest lunacy of the whole fucking thing. Yeah, people forget that he was
in that denial stage in the earliest days, Hogan there's a tape, We're
going to find out who it is at some point. So weird that he
went into that kind of that just seems so opposite to me. Well,
it took a long time actually for the reporting to reconcile there is a sex
tape to its bubb his wife like that wasn't in the first round of media
hysteria about this. Nobody was mentioning Bubba the love sponge totally and I get
that, But I guess my point is is that at some point someone's going
to find out. Yes, you have to assume that. You have to
assume that somebody is going to use some kind of filter, some kind of
editing, you know, shenanigans that are gonna make it so that we can
see who it is. And when you say someone's going to find out,
you're you're not. You're assuming that Hulk Hogan is going to seed that point,
which he won't, because Hulk Hogan is going to tell himself that he
can that he's such a carney that he can stop basically anything from happening if
he doesn't want it to. And him and his lawyer are still very much
in the mode at this stage of like, you know, if we find
out you're distributing the thing, we're coming after you criminally, We're serving notice
on you that if you, you know, participate in the further dissemination of
this, that's a felony. And you know, he cuts the He he'll
kind of deal with the Bubba the love sponge to keep the tape private.
He thinks in twenty twelve, before the whole FBI piece of this comes out
after the Gawker verdict, that he's never going to really have to answer to
the full contents of the tape. And you know, frankly, the entirety
of the tape, while it does exist, as you know, evidentiary files
and things, it's not like you can just go on YouTube and watch all
three parts or go anywhere and watch all three parts. But the substantive parts,
the scandalous parts, there were people incentivized to surface those, in particular
the racial slurs and stuff where those have come out. So what I think
it's fair to say that even if Holgan managed to stop the entirety of the
things from coming out, the only things anybody would talk about anyway found their
way. Yeah, route He's like, you know, he he thinks he
can you know, he thinks he's teflon Don He's sueing everybody, he's fined
in settlements. Wherever he turns over a rock. I mean, he probably
tells himself that he's he's got the lawyer power, the law back from the
rock brother exactly. So this is him appearing on TMZ Live, which was
a callin show that TMZ used to do. I don't know if they still
do it or not, where they you know, just it's like a half
hour web show like huff Post Live or whatever where they just talk about the
news of the day. Harvey Levin's on it, Um, Mike Tyson is
on it, Sean Michaels is on it. And and that quote you just
read from the court finaling where Hogan was talking about, you know, being
told over the phone by people from TMZ, this is These are two of
the people that he was talking to, Harvey and the other guy mister Walters
think is his name. Um, but he's on the horn here with TMZ.
The day after the day it actually breaks that the sex tape exists and
that there's you know, detail around the tape out there in the public sphere,
not a lot of detail, not who it is and not exactly what
it is. But you know, the media has now seen the tape,
and so Hulk takes to the air waves of TMZ with his attorney David Houston
and chops it up. So, um, witness here the Hulk Hogan that
still thinks he can, you know, keep a lid on this thing.
First of all, welcome. Yeah. First of all, guys, there
were several brunettes. Okay, real laugh la. No, there was a
between between the divorce from Er. At the time time I met Jennifer,
I had about four and a half months that I really went crazy about in
my book, about staying drunk and crazy and hitting all the parts. So
I was really out of my mind for a while. So you actually,
we're gonna get to the sex day. But you obviously prefer blonds. But
um was going for brunette's um kind of a statement against Linda Hogan. No,
brother, it was just I don't know what was wrong with me.
I was just so shocked and broken up, you know, because I dreamed
that I was the guy that was always stayed married and then you know when
the whole thing went down, and you know, when the falling lot with
the younger guy, I guess everything in a stillbody's fault up my own.
So I'm not blaming her, but you know, I just went crazy for
a while. Okay, So Haul, I want to say, um,
we are also joining the fun with David Houston, who is your lawyer in
this whole thing. So David, welcome as well. Thank you, Harvey,
So walk us through this. So and what year was this tape shot?
Well, well, brother, I don't know what year it was,
but this year around uh September and the September October, I will have been
with Jennifer for five years. That long. So the question I'm wondering is,
you know, why would someone hold onto this for at least five years,
you know, and then do this to me? Now, that's that's
what I don't understand. And I did not know it was being done.
You know, I didn't say, hey, Brunette, let's put a camera
up and have a sex tape. I mean, I'm dumb that I'm not
dumb and dumber. And so I just don't know why someone would do this
Number one and number two, why think would wait five years to release it,
at least five years at a hole Kid, David, this is Mike
Walters. I've actually seen part of this tape and it's kind of how we
wrote the story and for what it looks like in from what I've seen,
it appears to be a little bit old. And and the reason I say
that is from what you see a whole bulk and what he looks like and
how he's and what he's discussing about working out and stuff. It seems and
I discussed this with that earlier when we did the web story. But it
only shows a burnette. It shows him, it's it's a bedroom, it's
it's it appears to be security footage from inside of a home, and it
shows whole kind of going towards a burnette woman. And then that's all that
I've seen. I haven't seen whether or not this tape is some lengthy thing
or what exactly happens after that does that? And it ring any kind of
a bell with you, Hulk, you know, Harry, I'm not trying
to be a smart alec. I'm horrible with remembering names, you know,
but that's why I call everybody brothers. But during that time that that four
or five month window where I was going crazy. I was where I first
thing I did was I when I sat down with Jennifer, I said,
I don't even remember people's names, you know, last weekend, Abnette,
I'm eat so many people, much less girls five or six or seven years
ago or five years ago, whatever it was. It's just I couldn't number
a name if I had to. And the truth is it wasn't just one
brunette. I was running pretty wilder for a few months. So Marby we
started. We started hearing about this last night. One of the first things
we tried to do is put together a picture who this could be. It
sounds like it's somebody that hit hard times and had the tape and then hooked
up with someone that had the ability to try to market it. And fairness
to them, we want to put them on notice. They're committing a felony.
And a lot of people aren't worried about sevil labbility because it may not
have anything, but I think everybody's worried about whether they're going to spend time
in jail, and in reality, this is notice. If anybody goes forward
with this thing, we're going to find them, and we're going to have
him prosecuted. Jesus Christ. How about that the reason I call everybody brothers
because I'm so bad with names. Brother, I just don't even know where
I am. If that's what he's saying, right right, he's saying he
fucked so many brunettes in a five month window that he couldn't possibly figure out
who this one could be. Terry, Terry Brother, please gigs up,
you know who it is. I don't gig dude. That's all you fucking
did in TNA every fucking match. I mean, how shameless? I mean,
I guess you know he's not. He's not responsible for pushing the story
forward anymore than it is, like, you know, you guys find out
who it is and then you know, then I'll speak about it, right.
I mean, it's kind of interesting because he's like he's actually playing it
oddly cool and that he's kind of having fun with it and making fun of
there being a sex tape out there about him, where other people kind of
just shut up about it. Yeah. I think you know, that's a
reminder that my my, my interpretation of it is that it was never about
Hulk being embarrassed, that he's having sex on camera. It was always about
being horrified at what else he said on that tape that could come out,
you know. And again when Bubba comes to the tape afterwards and says,
we can use this for our retirement, he's talking about the remarks Hogan made.
He's not talking about the fact that he just recorded whole Cogan having sex.
It's not even clear that about his mind frame was to ever sell Hogan
having sex. It was to use his leverage. The fact that he recorded
him saying so many, so many negative things about his family and other races
right, right, but just tremendous to see him in worker mode and like
concocting a story where he could plausibly claim to not know who it was he
was having sex with. Just amazing stuff. And then in the same at
the same time, you look at his book and he only cops to one
affair right during this period period of marital strife with Linda, and that was
with whatever her name was, plant Them, the girl that was working with
Brooke and her music career and was her good friend. And then Hogan absolutely
went in on right and didn't stop talking until he finished, right, So
so that that that's kind of just the situation. And it's shortly after this
interview for our purposes, something very significant happens. This is sort of a
dated thing, but let's just say somewhere in the digital universe the Hulk Hogan
email address pinged with a you've got mail, and do you know who has
thoughts on the fact that Hogan did this interview so soon after the news broke
with DMZ Baba Dix Carter. Of course, she says, among other things,
in an email to Hulk after this, I love you to death,
but I have to be honest and say I think this interview is so beneath
you. Dixie Carter, she's the one that she's the pr person that masks
doing nothing as strategy. Yes, say nothing, pay me to tell you
to say nothing, Yes do nothing, pay me to have you do nothing.
Respond only when absolutely every other shoe has dropped, And pay me because
look at how I'm dressed. For Christ's sakes, don't you feel professional with
the blouse I'm wearing right now? I mean, I'm representing you and I'm
you know, I'm pleasing to the eye into the sensibility. Where's my six
figure consultant fee, she writes Hogan, and she says, this interview is
so beneath you. TMZ used it to verbally set up the sex tape and
took what you said to drag this story out even further with sensational headlines,
etc. Well, if Dixie is of the school that this was a one
day story, then my god, does she not deserve to be called a
crisis communications consultant because I just I don't know. Maybe I just have the
benefit of hindsight, but there's no way with Hope being out there not saying
who it is, that this thing dies after a day, that people get
bored with it and move on. There's so much mystery here. No matter
what Hogan does or doesn't say, you have to know who's in the tape.
You have to write, right, that's just kind of I mean,
seriously, talk about talk about the third man gimmick. Absolutely, yeah,
I know, shit, you know we need to know. She says,
Yeah, they used it to drag the story out. It benefits them,
but not you. Okay, when you're in the midst of public scandal,
nothing, no interview you do benefits you. That's not the point of doing
the interview. I know, that people can convince you to pay them big
money to tell them that you should do this, and then only say exactly
what they tell you to say, which is essentially like saying nothing at all
because you're not actually expressing your thoughts and feelings and you're just like messaging and
strategizing. Alec Baldwin, right, Remember he did that big confessional interview where
he was crying about what happened and everything. I don't know if you saw
that, I did, And it was a big run up to it.
It was a big build up. Finally Alec Baldwin speaks, and of course
everyone cynically interpreted most of what he said is ass covering, right, is
like, you know, drawing those fine distinctions that put him in the category
of not responsible for what happened. And look, maybe that's exactly how it
went down, and that's exactly what he says about. But did anybody feel
any differently about Alec Baldwin's culpability in the whole thing because he did that interview
like one person? So the idea that doing these interviews can benefit you when
you're in the crosshairs of public scandal. The most you can hope to do
is get your quote in there when they're time and time and time again.
That's the best you can hope for. So to set this standard up that
it benefits them not you is to assume that there is any way to get
benefit out of submitting to interviews w you're in the crosshairs of public scandal.
There is not that there may be some legal advantages that you can perhaps put
yourself in in terms of like shifting blame, casting aspersion on accusers, you
know what I mean. But that kind of stuff, that kind of stuff
can be done without submitting yourself to an interview. You can have others speak
for you. And thing is like this, This is Hogan basically telling himself,
if you ask me, there's nothing he can't fix with a promo.
Right of course, you know, he goes in with a strategy on this
thing. He's thought through all the different ways that he could be accused of
shading the truth or having selective memory, and he's got his whole story and
his whole spiel about not remembering this time of his life and I was low
and everything. So he thinks he can fix this with a promo. That's
my sense of things. Yeah, Dixie, continues, it benefits them,
but not you. I am on your team. Well that's music to his
ears. That but people like Renaissentor, she writes, and others can look
at this differently. Yeah, I'm sure because Hogan did this interview, Renassenter
is going to drop the thing, not because it exists. The tape exists.
Come on, come on, Dixie, she's surprised, I'm she writes,
I'm surprised your attorney let you agree to the interview. But I have
to say this is what Seeing your attorney's face and name on this makes me
think he did this more for him than you. About that, huh wow,
your attorney wants to ride your coat tails and take advantage of you so
that you can get some of your money. But I'm not trying to do
that. No, do you think do you think? Do you think she's
upset because it wasn't her on the tape? In the latest like I don't
know, Lord and Taylor a collection? Oh that's a good soult she would
never show. I don't know women's fashion, but I'm just thinking of like
the what she doesn't realize the category she fits into, So I know I
think that she you know, she thinks she's actually like a business strategist,
Like she thinks she has like a company reputation, like anyone gives a fuck,
Like anyone like Hogan brings up TNA all the time when he's doing the
Bound for Glory season interviews about this whole thing. Is it accelerates to another
level of life, this story, and no one even fuck, no one
pays any attention. I mean, they make some jokes about the fact that
TNA sounds like tits and ass Nobody knows it. Bound for Glory is,
nobody's gonna watch impact on Spike, nobody knows what the matches are. No
one gives a fuck. She's she's she's kind of like, oh, I'm
in a position to be damaged here, let me take let me show some
leadership and let me let me be mad about the fact that my asset is
damaging my brand or whatever the fuck they say in their conferences with their sushi
for lunch. You know, I mean, dude, please like like,
like, what whole hell he needs at this moment? Is Dixie Carter's opinion
on things, doesn't she? I mean, he's already proven that he's gonna
walk in the door and do whatever the fuck he wants in your company,
right, So I don't understand, like why he's going to turn to you
in the end of time where I know, right, why he? I
mean, why would he doesn't even give a shit what you're saying. Like,
honestly, I don't know if you're even speaking to him, like I
don't. I don't think he fucking cares? Well does he? We have
an answer to that question, does he care? Because he was presented in
the Gawker trial with this email and cross examination. It was read to him
and he was asked, did you see that? Do you see that?
He says, yes, I do, and they ask him you know,
um, let me continue the second paragraph. You see it says Terry,
this is my specialty. This is what Dixie writes, Terry, this is
my specialty. Well, Dixie, I've been waiting a long time years to
identify your specialty. And I'm glad that somebody whose specialty is deciding whether or
not to do an interview after a sex tape comes out is running the number
two wrestling organization in the United States. Sounds like the perfect job for you.
If this is to your specialty. I believe I believe she's special.
Had I'm not saying she's not special, Maybe I am. And I think
she realizes what she says when she basically admits that all she is as a
pr person, and I don't think she's special. Had I known she writes
you are going to do this, I would have tried to stop you and
said to issue a simple statement. Issue a statement, Let's sit around,
let's let's play with the language. Let's rewrite very very very serious a statement.
Yes, um, can't you could? You can't issue a statement without
an intermediary. I don't know if you know that, boss, You like,
you can't just sit down and write your own statement. You have to
pay somebody to write the statement. Are you really I didn't know that.
Actually, it's like essentially the law in a crazy Oh shit, yeah really,
yes, I actually did not know that. Do you know? So
you wan't really just say on paper what I would say in an interview?
Dude? What do you This is a hogan to win in our Cindeo.
When Vince didn't want him to win the steroid scandal because he thought he could
promo his way out of it. You know, he had his story about
I did steroids once and tabloid terrorism, and I'll get our Cindeo to pop
from terrorism, brother, tabloid terrorists exactly. And it never works. Terry
never succeeds. And whatever he thinks he's gonna like when he enters the real
world, whatever edge he thinks he's going to get by, you know,
putting himself out there, it never works. People a kind of laughing at
him, even harder ride when when the thing started he's a goof. He's
a fucking goof. Did you hear Harvey? What the fuck is his name?
I can I cannot commit to memory the guy from TMZ uh the fake
laugh there, Oh my god, was that a Hollywood laugh? Like he
made a joke Like I'm so nervous that he's gonna be he's gonna feel attacked
in this interview. But he just set his guard down right away. And
we can pretend to be doing this in a friendly way, even though it's
adversarial by its very nature. That laugh is just I can't you know what,
I'm gonna play it again. Just listen to not the whole flay.
I just want you to listen to the way uh uh fucking Harry style.
So where the tatement is triple h what's his name? Harley Levin laughs at
the Hulk star and whatever you hear. I want to I want to issue
a warning to members of the Solar System, a little bit of life lesson.
Whenever you hear someone laugh like this at you, immediately disengage and to
end the conversation and go away. Welcome. Yeah. First of all,
guys, there were several brunettes. Okay, let that hear me laugh,
Hulk, I'm not sure if it's picking up on the phone. No help,
No, Hulk, I'm not laughing because what you said made me laugh.
I'm laughing because I want you to hear me laugh over the phone.
Call as laughing because I don't want you to kill me. Unbelievable. So
good. So uh yeah, Dixie continues Terry, this is my specialty.
Had I known you were going to do this, I would have tried to
stop you and said to issue a simple statement. It would have positioned you
in a much more positive light and thrown water on this story to extinguish it
versus fuel on it to keep it going. Okay, thanks, thanks Dixie.
Positioning you in a much more positive light. I don't okay, great,
good story a position Destroit. It's all about positioning, yea brother,
Darry said, admit those who used position as a verb are people to be
ignored. Dare I submit that for the consideration of the journey dare away and
Holgan's asked, did you see that? And he says yeah, And they
say, well, I guess you didn't take it for great. You didn't
take heat in that advice, and he goes, nope. Wow. He
says, I was listening to my attorneys. There is a whole bigger issue
than just this one interview to think about. And she says this is her
specialty, Hogan said, and it's not. He said, she was a
publicist like twenty years before and a lot of stuff has changed, and it
was her opinion. I value it very very much. But she said something
about my attorney's decision to agree to do the interview. She doesn't understand all
the legal stuff that was going on, you know that led us to do
this. What I think he's saying. What I think he's saying is that
this is all part of a pressure campaign to get Bubba to agree to not
say anything about the tape. To not try to distribute the tape, to
not try to make Hay on his radio show about the tape. It's more
about David Houston sending that threat at the end than it is about Hogan joking
about having brunettes all day, like that harms his image. One sintilla to
know that Hulk Hogan had had a period of his life or like banging the
fun women, like like what I know? That ms tasteful to you,
Dixie, Although it depends what corners of the internet I want to look at
to determine if that's calling the kettle black, so to speak. But I
don't think you understand, like this is only helping his cause, not hurting
it. Right, people want to hear from the Holster, and the Holster
is always ready to cut a promo if that's what occasion called for. And
what do you know, in the earliest days of his sex tape scandal,
that is exactly what the doctor ordered. Based on this initial reporting, the
sex tape story became national news in March twenty twelve, seven months before Gawker
publication was published. For example, in March seven, twenty twelve, e
Online published an article call entitled Hulk Hogan sex tape shop at your own risk.
The what The article stated that Hogan and his attorney, Houston, seemed
to know who the woman in the tape is quoting. Houston is saying,
and we are we are two shades short of referring her to the state attorney
in Florida. All right, and that is a felony in Florida. I'm
just saying. I guess he means videotaping someone without their knowledge. There are
just says no. I mean, look, videotaping somebody without their knowledge is
fine, but videotaping Hulk Hogan having sex without him knowing is illegal. It's
a felony. It's a felony. There is a law past that actually mentions
Hulk Hogan individually as the person to whom the only person to whom the law
applies. I like, I don't make this shit up. Okay, this
is this is you can you can go into u you know, read any
of the uh the legal passings of the state of Florida, and that's all
there. It's all there for public consumption. Yeah. Also on March seven,
twenty twelve, they Huffington Post published an article entitled Hulk Hogan's sex tape
surfaces. Wrestler claims he was filmed in secret, which noted Hogan's thong shaped
tanlight that's really is. It's only about Hulk Cogan wearing it. Thought if
he didn't have that tanland, it would be half the story it was,
oh, totally would be, and that the unentified brunette was neither his ex
wife nor his current wife. You keep thinking about him doing push ups.
When Joan Severance wakes up, that's all I think about. And and for
some reason her thinking that he was fucking something right, you know, or
having some kind of sexual encounter. Also on March seven, twenty twelve,
the VH one Access website published an article entitled Hulk Hogan's sex tape surfaces,
which noted that the video shows Hogan getting naked and quote messing around with a
mystery woman. Also on March seven, twenty twelve, VH one published another
article on its website entitled report a Hulk Hogan sex tape is out there,
which noted, quote, as in the case with many a celebrity sex tape,
it's the it's the pornography, it's the vivid entertainment. Boss Steve Hirsch,
who broke the news as he was the one given the tape by a
third party. Hey, it wasn't me this time, right, lots of
times I'm a third party, you know, I authorize things in a third
party manner. But I had nothing to do with this. That wasn't even
the libertarian the reform part I mean, I mean, I'll tell you what.
When it comes to pornography reform, I'm all about it, right,
big fan. Because I've done marijuana, I've done alcohole, and I've been
done horn. Because because I'll tell you right now, I have done marijuana,
I've done alcohol, and I've watched porn. Yeah, that's most of
our Wednesday nights. Sometimes, you know, Terry and I watch a porn.
Brother, what I never watched a porn with you, dude, Dude,
I never Well, what do you say is, dude, what's your
what do you what's your wife's name? Brother? What's your what's your wife?
Well? You know you know, damn well, my wife's name is
Terry, brother her. I'm not your wife, dude. That was a
new one. Brother, I'm not your wife. Dude. Stop telling people
I'm your wife. I heard Stop telling what's up? I heard you aren't
brother. Hold on, dude, I heard you went on WrestleMania brother and
give a shout out to me. Dude. Why right? Well, you
know something, Hulk, I wasn't actually making a shout out to you.
I was actually, you know, I was putting my name in the hat
to be pressure into the United States. Okay, fine, brother, I
did that. Dude, what are you why? Why are you trying to
distract from the question? But why dude? I want to know, brother,
why you named your wife Terry? Dude, I named your wife Terry.
Your mom and dad give her that name. Well, you know that's
the thing about it. I didn't. I didn't, you know, I
didn't make give her the name that was the name that she was given at
birth, Terry, actually Terry. Do you know how names work? Have
you ever? Have you you know? Did? Did? Did your parents
give you the name Terry at birth? Plays it totally straight? But I
didn't give her the name Terry. That was the name her parents gave were
at birth. Maybe you and I should go talk about it down in Mexico.
I think so, because this could very well be a surreptitiously recorded line
brother, you recording me? Dude? I uh, simple question, brother,
very simple question. I don't. I don't actually record things. What
what? He asks him, If you're recording this conversation right now? He
goes, I don't actually record things? What contrary to popular belief? Like,
what's the context about your mind? Brother? What are you doing?
Dode? Well, I'm shooting on a phone right now, talking to you
from Mexico, eating enchiladash and huacamole. I'm sorry, but there's no way
that it's pronounced huacamole anywhere. That his best approximation. Wamo, someone's trying
too hard huacamole? What the fuck was that? Even the Mexicans are like
looking at each other like, what the fuck is this? Guendo? From
bro? Brother? What do you He doesn't like quacamole? He doesn't know
what that can mean? Is that? Is that? Like? You know
what I mean? Like? What do you? What do you mean guacamole?
Did you say table side? Brother? Brother? Did you what's happening
tables? Are we? Dude? Are we? What are we doing?
Brother? I'm a little I just want to I want to con dial this
in dude, what are we? A little? I just want to that's
money. That's fucking money, because that's money. I'm a little wait a
minute, m hmm, what are you? Did you say full table side?
Dude? What does that even mean? A great? What's a table
side? Hey? You know it's table shide. Guacamole is great. They
come up from behind, brother, what do you They roll it up in
the tortilla, and they roll it up, They roll it up on a
little uh you know, like a little a dumb waiter. Brother, who
you calling? Dumb dude? Have you ever had a stone round tortilla?
Terry? You know this place I go to they do homemade stone ground Tortillia's
brother, what are he's really butchering? The fucking Spanish language? Tortillias go
back to Minneapolis, will you? We'll have a herring or something? Brother?
I don't as dude, what are you? What are you saying?
Brother? Exactly? Enough talking in code Marco the ball, dude. Not
enough with this? Like enough enough with this, like you know, walking
the plank, bro, Exactly what's going on at the end of the day.
Hey, I'm just telling you right now that that I'm having table shide.
Oh that's what you were saying okay, sorry, I got all worse
and then I'm gonna have some chure rose. But you couldn't eat chocolate?
Brother? What are you? Brother? What are you? What are you
doing dude to arc? Are you dipping those in chocolate? Brother? Oh?
No, I can't have chocolate. It doesn't sit well with me.
It's my only detriment to Mexico, he says, wacamaw disgusting. Yes,
oh oh he met, he met, he said, let me translate.
He said chocolate. Yeah. Yeah, he's like those fucking like the last
of us zombies that come after that anyway, due, yeah, I know
who's coming from me. Brother, Well, i'd say that the US government
is. Have you ever wondered why the FBI didn't prosecute effort that sting you
were involved in carry around yourself? Haven't you ever wonder what actually happened to
JFK? In a related note? I mean, do you think it was
a single shooter? Brother? I'm not shooting on anybody, dude, and
nobody shooting on me brother, single leg? No way, dude. Can
I go, brother? Make me nervous? Dude, Well that's the way
you want it. I'll have my wobble. Well, you walk backwards while
you literally moonwalk out of the restaurant. We should have known you was alien
all this time. I am a third party Extraterrestrial's so good? I am
a I am a third party extra terrestrial. Then he goes, so what,
it's fine? I mean, what the fuck? Right Hogan was?
And gremlins do is used to that. It's wait till he goes, wait
till you here's about TMZ dot com front page today on top of it all
third party? Yeah, right, here we go. That's what you get
for saying third party in the final right, that's right. Also on March
seven, twenty twelve, the wrestling website twnpnews dot com published an article entitled
sex tape featuring Hulk Hogan with another woman being shopped around, which noted that
the video shows Hogan bragging that he has been working out again ulso. On
March seven, twenty twelve, The National Inquirer published an article on this website
entitled Hulk Hogan's sex tape, which noted that a sex tape had surfaced,
was being shopped to quote a major porn studio, and showed Hulk disrobing as
a naked Brunette offers herself to him lying on a bed. Also on March
seven, twenty twelve, the sports focus website Bleacher Report publishing an article entitled
pro Wrestling News, Hulk Hogan sex tape surfaces. I Am the Victim,
which noted that, according to TMZ dot Com, Hogan believed the tape's timeline
was approximately five years ago, and he does not remember who this woman was,
and quoted Hogan as saying, in this time, I don't even remember
people's names, much less girls. Dude. On March seven, twenty twelve,
The Daily Caller and published an article entitled Finally a Hulk Hogan sex tape,
which noted that the tape showed Hogan quote wearing nothing except his thong shaped
tan line and blindingly white mustache, and that he bragged to his evening companion
that he had started to work out again the next day. On March twenty
twelve, it's like news artist, It's like it's like a lawsuit. We
get it. Everyone fucking wrote about totally so annoying. I know they,
I know they have to provide all this ship, but it is so annoying
a point to make the next day, on March eight, twenty twelve,
still seven months before the publication at issue was published by Gawker, Digital Spy
published an article entitled Hulk Hogan urged by porn producer to officially release sex tape,
which reported that the video features Hogan with a woman who is neither his
wife or ex wife, and also noted that Hogan had sued his ex wife
over quote claims that he carried on a homosexual affair during their marriage. Also
in March eight, twenty twelve, The Hollywood Gossip published an article entitled Hulk
Hogan on sex tape partner identity got me What, which noted that Hogan did
not deny the existence of the sex tape, but pleaded ignorancest the identity of
the woman on this video, pointing to a quote four month alcohol banging binge
he went on between the period of divorcing longtime wife Linda and meeting new wife
Jennifer McDaniel. Also on March eight, twenty twelve, The Daily Telegraph published
on his website an article entitled quote Wrestling Great Hulk Hogan cannot recall women in
sex tape. Women Yeah, women in sex tape as he slept with many
after Linda hogan marriage break up, which noted that Hogan explained that quote he
hasn't had sex with another woman since meeting his new wife five years ago,
so the tape must be at least five years old. So you get the
point. Okay, they go through a litany of these things, and they're
trying to make the case that like, why are you coming after Gawker when
every other person on fucking planet Earth wrote about this thing? Um, And
then there's some screenshots that suddenly get published on one of the articles on the
Dirty and now we're getting close to actually publishing the actual video, wasn't it
because of the video? That's what really was the That's what made told a
sensation. You know. It's like, it's one thing to describe a tape
as having exists, as existing. It's another thing to have the tape right
and in terms of it coming around to be uh something that that that TNA
has to deal with, or at least that TENA suddenly is I don't want
to say involved in, but I think that might not be the worst way
to put it. Why don't you scroll down to page forty two for US
undisputed fact number eight Following the publication, there continued to be widespread public discussion
about the video recording of the sexual affair, including by Hogan himself. The
posted on the publication spurred continuing public discussion of the sex tape story, especially
in light of the publications revelation that Hogan's sexual encounter with Heather Clem appeared to
have taken place with the blessing of Bubba Clem, as had been the case
throughout the life of the story, Hogan's continued. Cogan continued to discuss it
publicly. Uh, where you get um? Is that testimony important? Well,
they're just having someone from Cocker say that the story more newsworthy because Hogan
you were talking about. At the time that the publication came out, Hogan
was scheduled to embark on a media tour to promote Bound for Glory flagship event
for TNA Wrestling, t NA, the organization with which he was affiliated at
the time. During that tour, he appeared on The Today Show and the
NBC, Pierce Morgan Live to Pierce Morgan Tonight on CNN, The Howard Stern
Show, and other programs on serious satellite radio, Huff Huff Post Live TMZ
Live, VH One's Big Morning Buzz Live, and Showbiz Tonight. He also
gave an interview to Tim Ryan on USA Today. During that tour, Hogan
responded, addressed. Hogan responded and redressed, and addressed the details of his
sexual encounter with missus Clem, the nature of the Clem's marriage, and speculation
that Bubba Clem was responsible for the taping. For instance, during in October
ninth, twenty twelve appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Hogan explained that Bubba
Clem was quote cool with him having sex with his wife, and that Heather
Clem, for her part, had been relentless in pursuing him, repeatedly saying
to him, I want to see your thing. I want to fuck you.
During that broadcast, Stern and Hogan also appeared a joke together about the
sex tape as well. For instance, Stern said that he was not sorry
for Hogan because there was a video of an attractive woman telling him you were
hung like a bear can and you were thick Girthian Long, adding that Hogan
is strong enough to recover from what he from, having had a quote a
woman put her mouth on his penis. Hogan joined in this exchange. Do
you think they're gonna put this in the storyline? Are the other bad rest
is gonna be like like fucking with you, going, hey, mister big
shot, big cock blah blah blah. You know, not cock. But
you know they're gonna Do you think they're gonna they're gonna work into the storyline?
Maybe instead of dropping the leg on people's neck, I'll start dropping someone
else on them. Drop those loads, that's right still and tripod brother,
Oh my god, Stern, drop those loads. That's right, thank you.
That was a That was a big clip they used to play. Um,
maybe not this late, I don't remember, but dropping loads. Oh
really, yeah, there's a porn star. Oh dropping loads his signature,
his finishing move. During the same broadcast, Hogan explained that the sexual performance
depict in on the sex tape was not him at his most impressive. Bro,
I'm not trying to be really pompous, be a pompous ass dude,
but you know, the situation I was in, I didn't really I didn't
want to be overly aggressive because you know, because he was with his friends.
Girl. You know, he can perform better than that. He performs
better than that and he knows how to rock a woman down there. During
during that media tour, Hogan made nearly identical comments during appearances on The Sway
in the Morning Show and huff Post Live about the sexual encounter at issue,
explaining Matt Bubba Clem's wife kept saying, you know, I want to get
with you. You know, I want to do this and not the other
stuff, and I want to have sex with you, explaining Matt, you
know, husband and wife. You know, theyre I kind of like an
alternative lifestyle, you know, and then the chick was always hidden on me.
Hey, I'm old the party with you, and you know the you
know, my buddy, you know who's Who's radio DJ. You know who
was like here, cool, Hey, don't worry about it. You know.
You know, Heather's got this crush on you and this and that and
that the other and all, you know, but she was just relentless.
I want to see this and I want to do that with you. We
dive deeper into the Stern and Sway excerpts. We're gonna play some sound first
up Hogan. Stern Um, this again is these are interviews and things that
he'd been set up to do. I mean, well, let's do Hogan
Sway first, because I just love this. It's like these interviews were all
set up by TNA, presumably for him to plug down for glory, and
he's talking about it. How you know, how funny is it that there
have been so many occasions where Tena has put him on the fucking circuit to
do shit, and he's been on talk shows and he never got something else
I'm talking about every time, there's other things. Every time let's hit Hogan
Sway. We all have we fault, so you know, I mean,
you know, I saw the clip. I won't lie to you, man,
I it made me a little uncomfortable to see that. You know,
you didn't have a sun tan on your butt cheeks. Oh man, oh
man, that's all I wanted to do. Oh man, you gotta sun
to butt cheeks. Oh man, Wow that's dirty. Man. Yeah man,
but uh listen to you got a big pay per view event that taken
place Saturday, right. Yeah. Actually, I came to town remote,
you know. I came to town because you know, we've got a new
time slot on Spike at eight o'clock every Thursday, Tena and Peck Rose.
I came to town to promote that, and then this Sunday we've got our
super Bowl of Wrestling, are bound for glory. So that's why I originally
came here to go on all the media stuff and talk all kind of crazy
wrestling stuff, and then I got you know, you know, fastball throwing
in my head with this stuff. So it was a game changer. Use
it to your vanish man. Yeah, well he didn't. No, Um,
you imagine TNA like, what the fun that's that's really what the mention
we're gonna get? Yes, roller one point five million. I mean it's
just too much. It's just a misfortune of TNA never ceases. Can you
jump ahead to number one forty three? Boss? Yes? Three. When
Hogan subsequently named Bubba Clem in the lawsuit, that led to a public feud
in which Bubba Clem took to the airwaves to announce his former friend. For
example, on his radio program on October sixteen, twenty twelve, the day
after the lawsuit was filed, Bubba Clem told his listeners that Hogan quote has
known about the sex tape from the time it was made period. Bubba Clem
also stated that Hogan knew of everything going on. Don't play like you don't
know, Hogan. You don't know now, Hogan, just to cover your
ass. You know you lived in my home for three months. You know
I have surveillance. You knew of everything going on. But now that your
feelings are hurt, and you're trying to cover your ass with your wife and
your jobs and your social standing, Hogan, you fired the first shot.
Buddy. I told you not to open your mouth on the courthouse steps and
that we could deal with this, and you didn't because you're selfish. That
is my opinion. You're selfish, and you're all You don't care about Heather
and what has has caused her. You don't care about what this has caused
me. You don't care about what this has caused your son, your daughter,
my son, Heather's daughter. I shouldn't care about this kids. Yeah,
well, why should you care about Bubba's kids? Yeah, he's the
godfather to Bubba's son, all right, all right? Bubba. Clem also
say to that Hogan is the ultimate lying, working showman, and that this
is a pro wrestling script in which Hogan has been able to, in my
opinion, turn this all around to make everybody but himself look like the bad
guy, instigated by a bunch of free feed churning lawyers that have thoughts of
grandeur on our over. Twenty nine, twenty twelve, after the press release
announcing that Hogan's claims against Bubba Clem had been settled, Bubba Clem issued an
on air apology to Hogan, stating, Matt quote, after further investigation,
he is quote now convinced that Hulk Hogan was unaware of the presence of the
recording device in my bedroom and that he had no knowledge that he was being
taped. Yeah, when Holk filed a lawsuit against me, I was instinct
I instinctly went on the offensive. The things that I said about him and
his children were not true for purposes of this motion. This ongoing public discussion
after the publication, in which additional aspects of the story continued to be revealed,
further illustrates that the subject was newsworthy, So newsworthy that Howard Stern not
only had questions for Hulk before Bound for Glory twenty ten, but even went
back to Bound for Glory twenty eleven when Hulk could stop by last ahead of
his match with Sting to play some tape knowing I think pretty clearly in retrospect
that Hogan had had his way with Heather Clem and tape existed of such.
This is how the exchange went, Hoganster. Thank you. Now, by
the way, I love talking about laundry as much as the next give Can
we talk about this sex type thing? All right? So so let me
understand what's going on. Last time you were here, let's backtrack. You
said to me, you looked me in the eye, point blank, and
you said, man code. I would never break the man code. I
would never bang another guy's wife, buddy's wife, A buddy's wife. Mom
me to play the clip. Okay, here's the clip, just so you
know, I'm not making this up. All right, here we go.
Would you ever happen? No, you would not know man law, brother,
You would honor that man law. Even if they were divorced for ten
years. You would never find your ex wife because you wouldn't my wife.
No way. I love you, man, Thank you that. I love
that you understand that you don't do that. Well, what happened, Terry
brother, you were in protection to us? I like to me, what
happened? Fingers crossed my toes were crossed. I'm not trying to make any
brothers beaten down like a dog, and you were feeling low and you were
looking for comfort doing that. My wife, you know, had just made
a decision that she'd gone back to California. I was at home with the
racing team that we had at the time, the drifting team, And it
was just one of those things that after a phone call which was this that
you know, they're done over with, F this, F that, F
you click, I just you know, went by Bubba's to say, hey,
bro, I'm gonna hang out. And it just was one of those
moments I said, hell with it, you know, for it just and
it was, you know, it's a huge, horrible decision. It's totally
you know, never dreamed in a million years there would be a camera in
Bubba's house. My family's been destroyed by stuff that has happened. Sure,
and now I'm going through something. Now, will you press charges? Oh
yeah, you're gonna Oh you're going ahead with this? Yeah, because you've
got to prove to the way to right, because if some people are going
to be skeptical and go no, whole goes in on. Honestly, trying
to be cool. Right when the pictures came out, I took a huge
hit. Um my wife, Jennifer, who's not part of this media circus.
Believe me, she's not broke, and I don't care. Even if
you did it before you met her, it's still gonna bum her the fuck
out pictures. Of course I did. Yeah, And at the end of
the day, you know, thank god it happened before her, because I'm
straight up about there's no reason to hide anything. Now happen. It really
rattled my world. Bat you, I'm surprised and I'm pray to God that
Jennifer hung on. I'd say something, brother, yeah, unreal. For
two years, brother, Heather and Bubba we're saying how cool this was,
right, no problem, no problem, And you know, Bubba was saying
it's cool. Honestly, Heather was relentless. I want to see your thing.
I want to you on and on and on. I mean, right,
but I don't see him, or wouldn't. I'd be on the phone
with Bubba. She'd grab the phone and so, you know, I feel
like an idiot. And like I said, this, just what they've shown
has totally devastated and I can't even begin to tell you how bad. Um.
It's totally destroyed in my world. On a personal love I pray to
God that Jennifer can hang in there with me. Really, do you think
something that happened before her, before I met her? I mean, he
has just done. He's toast all the bullshits up. He fucking lied to
Howard protection mode. Yeah, that's the story of his life, you know
what I mean, that story of his life. He will lie like just
like that, and so everyone he surrounds himself with. As long as you
accept it, it's fine. As long as you know it, as long
as you know that it's it's perfectly fine. It's also just so weird when
you think about like that Hogan was in such a place of prominence that he's
fucking you know, like in twenty what was that, twenty twenty twenty twelve,
Yeah, this is before Bound for Glory twenty twelve. He's like,
he's like going on, I can be you know, you could search all
for like the next years and you would never find him again. And I'm
fucking you know, it's just weird that in twenty twelve he's still making the
rounds. Oh he's I mean, this is the most media attention he ever
gotten, you know, in a lot of ways. Because it wasn't just
about he's you know, lighting the wrestling business on fire and we'll do a
couple of features about this wrestling thing that's taking off. It's also about you
know, the Nate. It becomes about the First Amendment. It becomes about
the right of the press to publish things and where that line is. That's
why there was, like the Netflix documentary that most of the thing isn't even
about whole COVID. It's about, you know, to what degree that the
journalists involved in publishing this information and publishing this video were protected. You know,
like, to what point can you argue that it's you know, because
he's a celebrity, that there's public interest in seeing this video that outweighs his
right to uh, you know, privacy because he's a public figure. As
as we've talked about before, you know, there's there's different standards to defame
celebrity than there is a private person. You know, nobody would argue that
taking a sex tape that someone didn't know was being filmed of two people who
aren't in the public eye, who aren't public figures who don't, who don't
seek to push themselves into the public spotlight, that that's clearly not ever acceptable
to just publish that video. There's clearly a violation of law. But when
the person's a public figure, there's there's a there's a higher level of standard
that needs to be met to determine that that person was done wrong. And
in this case, obviously a jury in Penellis County, Florida saw that it
was wrong and they went too far at Goker and publishing the actual video but
not apparently in public like full lowered descriptions and text of the video, which
is interesting, or in publishing you know, still still images from the video.
It is about the video. Everything's about the video, you know,
the the awakening we've gone through around like police violence, it's all about video.
Yeah, this has been talk to people in these communities. It's been
going on for a hundred years. No one gave a shit until there was
a video that they could watch and get really fired up about, and no
one gave a shit. I mean, very flip in that comment. I
know it's not that's a I shouldn't even have said it. It's not true.
That no one gave a shit. But the point is there wasn't like
a there wasn't the rallying cry with quite the same right pitch to it until
you see video, because that's that's all there is. It's just like,
until I see a video, I can't possibly care until the cotill there's a
video. That's the world we live in, right, I mean, that's
right. You know you want you want, you know that, that's that's
the proof, right. You can't take people by their word anymore. No,
No, it's just so assumed that anything that has ever happened that was
interesting was somehow on video that you know, until you see it, it's
just it can't be real. And I think that probably accounts for why there
was this lag time from this original reporting in March of twenty and twelve that
this tape exists until the actual tape gets published on Gawker, that there's you
know, anything in the way of you know, a media sensation really beyond
just those initial curiosity reports. In the tone of that Sacramento news story,
you play, right, that Sacramento like arts and entertainment thing, or it's
like, oh it's funny that whole Coogan is a sex state, but it's
not a you know, it's not a sensation. But when the video is
even in a one minute thirty second form is out there, it's a different
story totally. So um, everyone has to watch it and then we go
from there. Of course, help is also in his post divorce, you
know, divorced guy positivity thing, like his whole book is about that.
And he tries to tell Sway here and Hogan Sway too, why this is
of course also a good thing that this is happening to him. See if
we believe him here, which one is this way too? All right,
let me explain to you, even though I have this new life, why
why all this crazy negative stuff or what people think might be bad stuff is
happening and it's really not bad stuff. Yeah, it's really actually bad stuff
in disguise that is good stuff, like a dark cloud, so that someday
when it goes away, it'll make me a better person. And it's kind
of like called a gestation period, you know, because if you get your
check pregnant, yeah, you know, you don't ask her a month later,
where's the baby? Yet? You know what I'm saying. It takes
there's a natural time it takes for things to happen in the world. So
what has hap out of here is even though the pendulum has swung back the
other way and all the crazy while stuff, I did a stop, and
you know, I went through. I bottomed out, you know, and
I realized that all that stuff about you know, it's tough to make money,
and rednecks are bad people, and and you know what, Japanese or
Chinese people are smart. All that stuff that you hear you talking about,
you know, you get divorced, so maybe you should get divorce. All
that stuff that you hear, bro, all that stuff is going on.
All that stuff is true. That's all inherited stuff that you you inherit from
this world. What's true is the inherent inherent, the peace, love,
joy, the happiness it's in You got that got all that, I mean,
I got it. He's just on it. He's like he's he's trying
to do like the televangelist thing kind of all of a sudden, and it's
like, dude, that's not going to work for you. Stop and he's
still trying to do it. Yeah, you can't know, you're not going
to be mister positivity it's not gonna work. You're too much of a fucking
CARNI and he uh, and he does the whole thing about I think what
we see there is he's looking at Sway, who's a black man. I
think he's kind of you know what I mean, running through his head.
Yeah, yeah, you know, like a preemptive like kind of thing of
like, you know, you inherit these negative about it. He meant,
Chinese people, You inherit these, um, these negative perspectives on people based
on on whatever he said. Um. And it's almost like he's kind of
laying a property defense. Yeah, which is h I know exactly my my
response, he tells him, I'm the king is stepping up. I won't
lie to you, even though he just even though Howard Stern just caught him
out alive the day before. Um, you know, he'd say he'd tell
Jennifer if this happened this time, if he stepped out on her. Um.
And he goes on and says, nobody cares about woe is me?
They care about what now? You know you want them to care about what
now? And actually all anyone cares about, Huck is what back then?
What back then? And let's talk more about what's already happened instead of your
whole thing about the future. Yeah, let's talk about that, Tam.
Let's talk about one particular day. How about that one particular remark you made?
Yeah, uh and so yeah he U. It's important to note that
when he went on Howard Stern the day before he went on Sway, he
had yet to hear this extra piece of information from TMZ that Bubba is on
tape saying the thing about retirement. He doesn't know that when he sits with
Stern. He has since found this out before sitting with Sway. And so
listen to the rattle in his voice as he explains what he's learned in the
last twenty four hours. This is Hogan Sway three, and now I've defended
him. I've fought for him, you know, even with his old boss,
Howard Stern. I fought for him yesterday going I don't believe you do
this. Howard said he don't believe it. Last night, I didn't sleep
a bit, bro because I got some information last night that said that he
was the one that set the camera. But he did this to me,
and I even the person that said that to me, Harvey at TMZ.
It's christ. I don't believe it. I gotta see the film to believe
it. And you know, because if he did that to me, we
were never friends. Yeah, you know, and everything was and even to
the point where even last week, you know what I said, the criminal
things going down, Bro, I gotta know, I said, I gotta
know, and I don't want to insult you, but even your son,
Tyler I love to death, he's like the sacrifuicial Amy's on the ultra.
I said, if something happens to you, you go to jail, or
you get sued, or you get caught up in this, Smith is gonna
affect him. I said, I gotta do what I gotta do, but
I gotta know the truth. Bro, did you have anything to do with
this? Because you know, if you didn't, God bless you. I
love you. But if you did, we were never friends. But it'll
change my attitude about what I gotta do. But now, I mean,
I just gotta, you know, release the cracking, because there's it's criminal,
it's civil. And to this point right now, I want to believe
in my heart you know that he's my friend. I just but I get
some information rattled me so because in from Bubba, we're talking about Bubbae Sponge.
His wife had there's a person that you slapt with. What is the
information you received? The information was Harvey at TMZ and UM Mike Walters called
me and said they when you write something down from a tape, what do
you call that? Transcribe? Transcribe They said, they transcribed the words to
me. They read it to me or the phone that after I left the
room. They said, the bubble went in and as he's walking towards the
camera, he said, this is our retirement if we ever needed Heather.
I said, Harvey, did you see the tape? And he said no,
I didn't. I said, well then I don't believe you. And
then Mike Walters somebody else came on the line on a conference call said,
Hulk, this is executive producer of the show. And I saw the tape
with Mike, and we wouldn't lie about something like this would be hundreds of
millions of dollars and Bubba, it's just I said, brother, I have
to see the tape. And I couldn't hang phone up fast enough. I
started shaking violently. Dude, I couldn't stop you know, I thought I
was gonna have a hard couldn't even push the button to call for help.
So I see my attorney calling me, David Houston, Like for ten minutes,
my arms are going like this, man, I'd never have my body
out of control. Finally I hit the button and I don't know if I
was crying. I was going huh. I couldn't get through it, and
finally he talked me down. But that's why I haven't slept. That's why,
because you know that's that's a tough one for me. Shit, bro,
this is a tough one. And you can tell him his eyes he
hasn't slept. I mean, oh, I bet he is a fucking mess,
a mess, because this is a guy who you know, he talked
about it when what happened to his son. He was he just like locked
himself in a room for like a week and a half and just dialed and
dialed and dialed until he felt like he could do something to make it easier
round his son. As far as like you know, where he was being
uh incarcerated, in the conditions he was being held in and all that.
So he's got that obsessive personality, so you know, he's like Colin,
you can just you can hear him right now. It's like when Logan Roy
is like meeting and everyone has to like scram pick up all their files.
He just wants to keep gaming this thing out because you know how he is.
He thinks he can manipulate his way around anything. Of course, what
a fun the guy is fucking You can imagine him at like three thirty in
the morning, call dude to night after this breaks just like burn into candle,
you know, at his desk, like, yeah, horrified. It
just game pacing around so many possibilities. And he says that you know that
remark from Bubba to him, says he Bubba did this for money, and
he said he had talked to Bubba around this time and Bubba told him,
you know, I'm not lawyering up, I'm on your team. Screw the
bitch, blah blah blah. And then um Hogan calls him next time and
instead of getting Bubba, he gets a call back from Bubba's lawyer. Wow,
why are you trying to keep the faith? Hulk? Let's hit Hogan
sway number four for the answer. Boy, No, that's the truth.
Yeah, and I'm not lying here. I'm just trying to keep the faith
because I got very few friends in my life. Brother, I'm just people
keep turning on me. Brother, that's the truth. No, that's every
single storyline he's ever done. I've never I've never been a lot of a
friend. Dude. Why do you think that is, Terry? What I'm
brother? Huh? Why do you think that is that you've never been able
to have a friend. What. I didn't say that, dude just said
a second ago? What? No, brother, you said that, dude?
What did you say? Then? What do you say I said that?
You said? See, brother, I didn't say anything. Dude.
You keep putting shit in my face. Brother, you keep putting shit my
face. Brother, you told Sway in that clip we just heard that you've
got very few friends? Who now, So why do you think you have
very few friends in your life? Brother? I've never said that, Dude.
We just heard the clip Terry playing Hogan Sway for again, mister producer,
play Hogan Sway for again? Please? No, that's the truth.
Yeah, And I'm not lying here. I'm just trying to I'm trying to
keep the faith because I see, brother, I didn't say that, dude,
did you just have that clip cut short. I don't, Brother,
how can I do that? Dude? You have all the reality, bro
I hit it again, Hogan Sway for. There must have been a technical
glitch, please, mister producer. Hogan Sway for I'm sorry. We don't
have the clip anymore. I don't know where it went, but it's gone.
Yeah, well it's probably wherever the last episode of Brooke Knows Best is.
Brother, There was never a last episode of Brooks. There has just
logically, there has to be a last episode of everything. No, Brother,
that's kind of way. I'll keep things open, dude. I can
tell you right now, Brother, there was no episode featuring me and surgery.
Imagine that Hogan goes to the grave claiming that Brooke Knows Best is still
on the air, or at least still in development, so that he doesn't
have to acknowledge that there was ever a There's still possibility, dude, exactly.
I'm never losing hope, brother, keeping the faith, sons, the
sons still shining. I have I have friends, Brother, a lot of
them. And then Sway points out that when Hogan's cell phone rings during the
converse the bedroom conversation with Heather clemm his ring tone is one of brook Teeny's
songs. I mean, that's not a surprise. Then this gets all called
choked up when it's pointed out by Sway and um yeah, let's get a
taste of the at the end of the day. Uh is m It goes
into overdrive during this interview hit called number five. Please no no, no,
no, no, no, it is um I forget the question asked
brother, how did you talk to no no, no, no at the
end of the day, saying this guy if he was my friend, if
my you know, and and I'm still printing, god he is if my
kids were young, rocket I lost my kids man, brother said at the
end of the day like three times in two seconds. There no, I
knew the whole time I was there. It was wrong. And now for
the question. No one else on earth would get if they were in this
exact same situation unless they were a pro wrestler. Number six. A lot
of people say, well, you know who, Hogan, you know it's
you know, it's a wrestler. It's a lot of acting and wrestlings,
guys or entertainers. How much of this is true? Did they set this
up? Is he in on it. A lot of people have questioned if
this is just a ploy perhaps, or is it? Um? Is this?
You know, is this some type of act that's happening. What do
you say to people who question, who question valid if this is not just
you and Bubba putting together some script that you already pre playing. Oh my
god, I was playing itself out. That would be a hard one to
answer, you know, Um, I don't know who would do this to
their children, you know, I don't know who would do this to their
new wife because I've already lost everything once. Yeah, I've never had anybody
that really has been loves me and in love with me. I don't know
why you throw that away. And at the end of the day, when
people like Vivid all different companies or offer you an open checkbook for any amount
of money, you want to write, why if this was a plan,
why wouldn't we cash in? Or why wouldn't do with this? So I
don't really know how to answer that question, you know, other than just
watch what happens. And I mean, I don't know what else to say.
I wouldn't know how to answer that because I I wouldn't want to do
that myself or anybody else or my kids or I mean, why would you
do that? Not the most convincing answer I do have to say, not
at all, Not at all. I mean, if you're inclined to think
it's a work like that answer does not that that answer gives you more fuel.
Yeah, Terry, what were you thinking of that answer? Exactly?
What do you? I mean? That was just what answer? Brother?
Yeah? Right? It doesn't e quest again? Yeah? Can you hit
did someone hit clips six? Please? I'm there brother, I'm saying I'm
sorry we lost one. I mean I can't. I don't know. Did
you hear one? Bost Do you hear a guy that? Like? It's
almost like, hmm, maybe this maybe it could be cool with this is
a word? Maybe you could brother, Yep, rebountful glory Dude. He's
like, what if we do this? The thought crosses his mind about when
his contract expires and what you know, what if we do what a you
know this thing we got? Brother? What if he dial this in right?
Instead of shying away? He dial away? Brother? Who? So?
What's he working at this point in time? Why is he still doing
the whole? I pray he's still my friend, and I pray this isn't
true and everything like that. Well, he still kind of needs Bubba at
the table to reach a settlement agreement that he reached in October twenty fifth,
twenty twelve with Bubba the Love Sponge, And this settlement agreement basically lays out
the terms under which Hogan cannot or Bubba cannot distribute or discuss the nature of
this tape. So there's there may be a difficulty communicating between the two,
but they are still very much at the negotiating tape, as Hogan speaking there
in both of those interviews, trying to come up with a with a document
that will give Hulk Coogan reasonable comfort that this thing won't spread any further.
And why you would need a settlement agreement after the tape has already been into
the public realm. Well, we found out the answer to that question when
we found out what else the tapes contain. But of course the settlement agreement
between the two is a matter of record. It is included in the court
filings, and so we have it for you. Boss. Would you like
to hear ah how Hulk Cogan tried to prevent Bubba Love Spun from further distributing
the sex tape in October twenty twelve. Of course, this settlement agreement is
between Terry Bolea Terry and Bubba Clam Bubba. As of October twenty fifty twelve.
The parties agree as follows. Do you have the document? Yes,
Let's alternate paragraphs. Sure. Bubba will not mention Terry boleya Hulkhogan on the
radio or to any member of the press, either directly or indirectly, unless
the statement is positive about Terry, and or unless Terry is a subject in
the media concerning a newsworthy incident, excluding the sex tape scandal, in the
statement by Bubba about Terry is either positive or neutral, Bubba will not disparage
Terry in any way to any person or entity. Bubba will not make any

allegations, rumors, innuendo, etc. And will be permitted to state
truth, namely that he had no knowledge of the taping of his sexual encounter
with Heather Clem, was not involved at all with the taping, was not
involved at all with releasing or leaking any video of it, was not involved
at all in any effort to try to exploit any video of it, but
just the opposite. Has been actively and consistently working to obtain and destroy all
copies of the video and to punish those involved since Gawker dot com first posted
the video. Notwithstanding, Terry will not make any disparaging statements about Bubba other
than to correct and clarify the facts as discussed above, Obtain and destroy the
next TNA pay per view seriously in a wrestling presents, obtain and destroy number
three. Bubba. Will maintain total confidentiality of all information regarding Terry and his
family members as to all third parties, including matters concerning Terry's and his family
personal I heard that third party again is big fan of that big fan of
these third party comments. Are you ready? Yes? Are you ready to
have a wrestler in the White House. Number four, Babba will fully cooperate
with Terry, his counsel, law enforcement, prosecutors, and others as to
all matters relevant to locating and prosecuting all persons who were involved in leaking or
releasing the videos, involving Terry and Heather, and also pursuing Gawker and it's
affiliated people in companies with criminal and civil prosecution, and any other companies and
individuals involving in posting, distributing, or exploiting the video. Sounds like a
wrestling matches posting, distributing maneuvers, posting limbs, distributing maneuvers, exploiting the
injuries. Bubba and his counsel will not communicate with or assist Gawker or its
counsel in any way, except as required by law pursuing too a duly served
subpoena from a court of competent jurisdiction. This is basically like a hush agreement,
you know, like Bubba saying I'll better say the guy's name again.
Number five effective as of October first, two thousand twelve, so before these
interviews that Hogan's giving ahead of bound for glory were given, Bubba will transfer
to Terry all of his rights, title and interest, including copyrights and all
other intellectual property rights, and all video content of Terry, including including the
sex tapes. The only exception of this transfer will be copyrights and commercially released
video tapes and DVDs that Bubba has published prior to October first two twelve.
Sex tapes and related content are not part of this exclusion. Bubba never caused
them to be published, and therefore Bubba is transferring to Terry all of this
right, title, and interest in connection with all sex tapes and related content
involving Terry, Bubba will fully cooperate with Terry and his counsel in pursuing copyright
infringement and related claims against all persons using such content without Terry's permission so he
can consider these these copyrighted geez I guess so so bizarre. Cooperation would include,
without limitation, executing any copyright documents consistent with the foregoing, including the
transfer agreement attached here too. To exhibit A, Terry will use the aforementioned
rights to the sex tapes and related content to have all such content removed from
public view and destroyed. Terry has no interest in and will not seek to
exploit such content in any way. Baba represents and warrants that he owns all,
or at least or at least one half of the copyrights in the sex
tapes and related content of Terry and Heather, and that he has not assigned
or licensed any rights in such content to any persons or entities. Number six,
Bubba will turn over all the of all the information, documents, electronic
files, videos, videotapes, audiotapes, and other materials concerning the sex tape,
including all copies and reproductions thereof, in his possession, custody, or
control concerning in any way Terry or his family members, including the creation,
storage, transportation, release, dissemination, and exploitation thereof. Seven Bubba represents
a warrants that he had no role whatsoever in the released, semination, linking,
attempts to exploit or exploitation of any videos involving Terry, including the sex
tapes. Number eight. Simultaneously with the execution of the settlement agreement, Bubba
will provide a signed written apology to Terry in the form attached here too as
Exhibit B, the text of which is stated below, and Bubba will also
read the statement verbatim on the air during his syndicated morning radio show, The
Bubba The sum The Bubba the Love Spun Show a total of two times,
at or about seven am on Monday, October twenty ninth, twenty twelve,
and at or about eight am on Tuesday, October thirtieth, twenty twelve.
Bubba will deliver the on air statement in a sincere and heartfelt manner. The
written on air statement will read as follows quote. After further investigation, I
am now convinced that Hulk Hogan was unaware of the presence of the recording device
in my bedroom. I am convinced he had no knowledge that he was being
taped. Additionally, I am certain that he had no role in the release
of the video. It is my belief that Terry is not involved, and
has not ever been involved in trying to release the video or exploit hit or
otherwise gain from the video's release in any way. Regrettably, when Hogan filed
the lawsuit against me, I instinctively went on the offensive. The things that
I said about him and his children were not true. I was wrong,
and I am deeply sorry for my reaction, and for the additional pain that
had caused Hulk and his children on top of the pain that they were already
feeling from having learned that Terry was taped without his knowledge and the public release
of the video. I am committed to helping Hulk and his attorneys find whoever
is responsible for the release of the tape and holding them accountable to the fullest
extent of the laws that you see these quotes and these press releases and these
statements and a loyal road exactly where of course, of course number nine,
the parties will keep the terms of the settlement agreement except for EXHIBITSA, and
be strictly confidential. Accept as follows. The parties may disclose the terms to
their respective legal council, business managers, accountants, and tax preparers on a
need to know basis only be to Heather, Clem's counsel and Heather solely for
purposes of resolving the dispute and lawsuit between Terry and Heather, and provided that
those who are disclosed the information agree in advance to maintain its confidentialities, see
as required by laws, such as a subpoena or other legal device compelling the
production of the information, provided that the party is seeking to disclose the information
in connection with the same gives the other party to this agreement prompt advanced notice
to allow it to seek a protective order or legal injunction, and d as
the parties may otherwise agree in advance pursue into a fully executed written agreement.
Number ten, Babba will promptly turn over to Terry's legal council one hundred percent
of all documents, materials, photos, videos, electronic content of all kinds,
and other materials in his possession, customer or control that pertained in any
way to Terry and his family members, other than court filings in this lawsuit
and communications after October first, twenty twelve regarding the underlying dispute, lawsuit and
settlement. Bubbo will certify, under penalty of perjury, that all such documents
and materials in his possession or legal control, including within the possession of his
current and former agents and representatives, have been turned over due Terry's legal counsel.
Eleven. Bubba will pay Terry the sum of five thousand dollars and two
consecutive monthly installment payments of twenty five hundred dollars each commencing on November first,
two thousand and twelve, to help reimburse Terry for the legal and pr costs
that Terry has been required to occur in connection with the release of the video.
Bubba's represents that he does not have substantial assets and that the payment described
in sparagraph as a substantial payment for him based on his limited assets. Ouch
five grand, I mean, old, yes, he only paid five grand
for fucking legal shit. What he's saying pr shit. That seems kind of
cheap to me. I agree, But I mean, and for both of
them, I'm surprised that hoba It doesn't have five grand, and I'm surprised
that Terry's only asking for five grands. David Houston's playing the long game,
like brother, we get that settlement, baby, you get that settlement,
and then we can move on from there. And then hey, look look,
folks, you know this is you know, I mean, we're talking
about people's privacy. We're talking about the the establishment of innocence that's right,
and we are talking about wronged human beings. And you know, where do
we stand with that as America and Americans you know, are we are we
for the the the the publication of everyone's private, private endeavors, or are
we here to protect ourselves and uh, you know, attempt to really solidify
the right to privacy as written in the Constitution of America. All good questions.
So, you know, are we here too? Are we here to
destroy Bubba love Sponge? That's not for me to say. You know,
maybe we are, maybe we're not. You know, is that is that?
Is that? You know? Is that anyone's business but mine and Terry's.
I don't know. These are things that we ask ourselves every day as
Americans, and I believe the questions will have will be answered as the future
unfolds itself upon us all and well that you can count on. And questions
you have today maybe answer tomorrow. But then what about the questions of tomorrow?
When will they be? When will you start talking about that? When
can we have that conversation? You know, I believe in forward motion.
I don't believe that as human beings that we can move backwards. We're incapable
of it physically. I only believe in forward propulsion. And you know,
I believe I believe the next step in this case will redefine America and redefine
who we are as a people. Thank you, Thank you. The number
twelve. The parties here by release one another as to all claims and causes
of action that each party may have against the other, provided that the other
party remains in compliance with his obligations under this settlement agreement, including his representations
and warranties. Herein, if a party materially breaches his obligations under the settlement,
including his representations and warranties, then the injured party would be permitted to
avoid the release and rEFInd claims, and the pendency of the release would serve
to toll all applicable statutes of limitations as to all applicable claims. If either
party breaches the agreement, they will have five days from a date of notice
of the breach to cure the breach. In the event Terry fail to cure
a breach, he will reimburse Bubba the five thousand dollars that was paid pursuant
to paragraph eleven above sub paragraph yeah number thirteen. Upon the full execution of
the settlement agreement, Terry will dismiss his state court lawsuit against Bubba without prejudice.
Oh look at that little quid broke quo, he dismisses the lawsuit here
without prejudice, penning their respective ongoing compliance with each party's obligations under the settlement.
Additionally, the Terry Terry agrees not to sue the Bubba Radio Network or
any of its affiliates or licensees, including but not limited to Cox Radio,
who he later does sue Beasley Broadcast Corporation Incorporated, LM Communications, the Second
of South Carolina Incorporated, Io World Media, inc. And all of the
Bubba Radio Network Eliot's respective employees, agents, and apparent agents in connection with
any of the comments made on air prior to the entering of this agreement.
Terry will also withdraw any and all seven hundred and seventy notices filed against the
Bubba Radio Network and all of its affiliates. Oh. Seven and seventy bases.
I think it's a reference to a law, not seven hundred and seventy
different ones. Okay. Number fourteen. Terry agrees not to pursue the prosecution
of criminal charges, either state or federal, directly or indirectly against Bubba.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Terry is permitted to cooperate with the investigators, law enforcement
and prosecutors to the extent necessary to prosecute anyone involved in the theft, release,
publication, and exploitation of the sex tapes. Additionally, Bubba agrees to
cooperate with investigators, law enforcement, and prosecutors to the extent necessary to prosecute
anyone involved in the theft, release, publication, and exploitation of the sex
tapes. Signed October twenty sixth, two thousand and two, about a week
after bound for Wow Mother. Everyone's locked down their options. And yeah,
Jesus, that's the thing about the Gawker lawsuit. It really doesn't talk a
lot about Bubba. I mean, Bubba was deposed, but he doesn't testify.
He's not He's the guy that did the he made the fucking tape,
right, and no one hears from him because it's all about you know,
Gawker and its rights and all that. No need. So it's pretty Yeah,
that's pretty amazing. So the sting operation actually occurs in December of two
thousand and twelve, so a bit after all these interviews we've been hearing,
but he has sought, you know, help in October twenty twelve. So
yeah, like you said, he's all over the place. He's cutting deals
with Bubba, He's getting out there, he's calling the FBI trying to get
the sting set up and they do so it's a very very busy time.
Yeah, the plaintiff's Yeah. The check comes in the amount one hundred and
fifty thousand dollars in a commitment to make subsequent payments of addition one hundred and
fifty thousand for a total extortion payment. This is the FBI sting of three
hundred thousand dollars. Plaintiff and his canceled David Houston appeared to the clear Waterbeach
Hotail that day And can you imagine just being in the hotel just to guess
that day and seeing how Goo going into this fucking room to cut this deal.
I don't even know, like just that being amazing, and met with
Davidson and Burbridge representing an acting in concert. These are the attorneys that were
trying to cut the deal in behalf of the people who had the tape for
the execution of a reported settlement agreement that's in quotes and the exchange of all
the copies of the surreptitious recordings and one hundred fifty thousand dollars check. As
the prior action and the Gawker FBI action progressed, it became clear that Gawker
misrepresented the reason why it was seeking discovery of the FBI extortion investigation in operation
Gawker having become aware of this is from a court filing through discovery and the
prior action that other sereptitious recording sees during the FBI staying operation purportedly contained racially
insensative statements by plaintiff. They used the Gawker FBI action to try gain access
to video and or audio footage of paintiff making such statements, so Gawker could
use such statements against plaintiff to destroy him publicly and his leverage to try to
force plaintiff to settle or drop his claims heading into a jury trial in the
prior action. So yeah, you can take this to trial, Terry,
you can take us to trial if you want, but just know that we're
fuck yeah, we're leveraging this FBI investigation and try to get her hands on
other things will drop on the public if you go and continue to get dirty.
So it's starting to make Bubba quite uncomfortable of this activity. A full
two years after he reached the four red settlement agreement with Hulkogan. This is
May twenty third, twenty fourteen. He files a police report with the Tampa
Police Department. Does Bubba of course around the theft of his personal property and
here is the report from the officer. I responded to a house where I
met with the victim, who provided me with a photocopy of a tweeted message
he received to his Bubba Loves Bun Show account. Message was provided via subject
identified through his Twitter account as Josh is in the city. The message stated
that a letter in DVD was left on his vehicle because he has a Bubba
Army bumper stick or attached to his vehicle. The tweeted message asked for a
contact number and that he was attempting to return the DVD left in his possession.
The photo of the DVD had the name Denzel written on it. Denzel
was somebody he knew and a police department in his home state of Indiana,
according to other filings. And I believe someone who videotaped blasting out heather Clem
like a fucking construction site, you know what I mean, full blast,
like like there's heavy ledge and Bubba identified the handwriting, according to this police
report on the DVD as his own, and he's saying, you know,
look, I'm getting these tweets, like what's going on. Clem advised that
during October of twenty eleven, he and his ex wife began divorce proceedings,
and during that time their relationship was contentious, and he had concerns that personal
information could potentially be made public by his wife that could affect his reputation as
a public figure in the media. In other words, that he's a cuck.
The primary focus of his concern involved the existence of homemade DVDs depicting consensual
sexual contact between his wife and other subjects of which he was a knowing participant.
As a result of his concern, Clem transferred the DVDs from his home
to his workplace, where he believed they would be more secure during the months
of December twenty eleven. In January twenty twelve, he and his staff moved
equipment and property. So this is right in that just at the dawn of
twenty twelve, they're moving everything from one radio studio to a newer radio studio
at his current location. Clem advised he specifically remembered moving the DVDs to an
upstairs office storage area in his new studio that was designated for his own personal
items. In March twenty twelve, Clem learned that a screenshot of a portion
of one of his personal DVDs had been leaked to the media. The screenshot
depicted a still video image of his then wife and close personal friend, professional
wrestler and media figure Whole Coogan, as they were involved in a consensual sexual
encounter at that time. Clem immediately responded to the office storage area and became
aware that each of his DVD's were not missing. Clem advised that at that
time he did not believe his wife was involved in releasing the screenshot to the
media or was responsible for their disappearance. However, he could not rule out
that she had been able to copy the DVDs prior to his moving them to
his workplace. His minimal suspicions of her were also that the result of contentiousness
of their own going divorce at that time. This other guy, Matt Lloyd
ak Spiceboy, the report reads, was formerly an employee and an on air
member of his radio show Sure During the months of January February twenty twelve,
Lloyd began to lobby with corporate executives to be creanted a hosting position of his
own radio program. Clem believes that Lloyd wanted to be considered as an available
replacement to host the Bubba La Loves Mounts Show and the event that Clem was
fired Shortly after this, in April of twenty twelve, Matt Lloyd began to
host his own radio program. On Today's Day, Clem received a tweet via
social media to his radio Stow's Twitter account. The tweet depicted a photo of
one of the DVDs taken from Clem's office store Jerry in twenty twelve. Clem
recognized the handwriting on the DVD as his own and related that he knew the
DVD contained footage of a similar nature to other DVDs involving his ex wife and
was intended for his own personal use. Clem advised that he believes the tweeted
photo of his stolen personal properties intended as a message and a threat to him.
The personal footage depicted on the tweeted DVD has the potential to negatively affect
his reputation and also potentially his livelihood were released publicly. Claim related that he
believes Matt Lloyd had both the means and the motive to steal his personal DVDs.
During his employment on the Bubba Bla Love Sponge show, he had unrestricted
access to all areas of the building, including the office storage area. He
also, based upon his knowledge of Lloyd's actions in twenty twelve, believes that
Lloyd had a desire to take over as a host of his show. Clem
believes that Lloyd took the DVDs. What's that and wow, yeah, I
mean this is just like pro wrestling, basically take the spot right. That
Lloyd took the DVDs with the intent to expose their content to the media and
effectively caused the dismissal as a result of the associated scandal. Clem also advised
that there are an additional twelve employees who work in his studio, and each
of them have access to the upstairs office storage area. He does not suspect
any current or prior employees of the theft of the other DVDs other than Matt
Lloyd. Clem related in conclusion that he made a conscious decision to not report
the theft of the DVDs originally in twenty twelve when he became aware of their
disappearance. His rationale for this was that although Hulkogan had been exposed as a
result of the release of the specific DVD involving him, other involved subjects had
not yet been exposed, and he hoped by not reporting the theft, he
could protect them from potential scandal that could result from his offense. Report unbelievable,
it's insane. There's so much back and forth here, and it's it's
just it's just that Hull Coogan finds himself in the middle of it. It's
truly amazing. He identifies later in another police report, Denzil as someone everyone
knew as his cop buddy and his ex wife sex tape was missing. Okay,
so this is an interview now with Tampa PD and Lloyd Spice Boy,
the guy that Bubba accuses of swiping the DVDs and trying to sell them.
And you know a guy who was identified in the FBI records is a person
who was in fact involved in doing this. There intermediaries, right. He
says to Tampa PD that Bubba is a very bad man and has a lot
of connections even with law enforcement, and that he's seen him Bubba make a
phone call and get people arrested. I asked Lloyd where the DVD was.
He stated, I don't have it. I made the one in the picture
from a blank disc and wrote on it the picture runtwater. He claims it
was just like a doctor blank DVD. Bubba totally recognizes his own handwriting on
it. However, I informed Lloyd that Clem identified the DV in the photo
was being his with his handwriting. Lloyd stated, I made the one in
the picture. I took a blank disc and wrote on it with a sharpie.
I asked Lloyd how he knew Clem was missing a DVD with Denzil on
it. He stated everyone knew his cop buddy and his ex wife sex tape
was missing. I asked Lloyd how he came up with the date on the
disc. He said, I just made it up. Wow. I informed
Lloyd that the date was significant because that is the exact date the stolen DVD
was made. Lloyd then stated, I'm just trying to focus on my family
and put this all behind me. Lloyd admitted to creating the Twitter account and
sending the messages to CLAM along with the photo of the DVD. Lloyd stated
that the DVD in the photo was just a blank one made to look like
one of Clem's missing DVDs. I informed Lloyd that Clem identified from the tweet
photo the DVD is being his. Lloyd denies taking any of Clem's DVDs and
insisted that he made the one in the photo. Lloyd said he did this
as a prank because Clem is always talking bad of him in the media and
in the radio. Lloyd swore that the statements he made to us were the
truth. Can you imagine like having like these videos that you don't want anybody
to see in the one day you open your Twitter and there's a picture of
it. I'm God, I think that would be probably one of the most
gut wrenching things possible, unbelievable. So, um, here's Bubba Um speaking
to ABC Action News. After this police report material comes out, um where
a lot of the detail involving like these other parties transacting in the tapes becomes
public knowledge, and after Bubba had decided to go to police and generate his
own report of what happened. Let's start with clip number one here speaking to
ABC Action News in Tampa in twenty fifteen. Which one is this, Bubba
one one. I know it's not easy to root for me. I know,
I know that it's not easy to think Bubba's being the victim in ninety
percent of the time, I'm not the victim. I'm the victim here.
I know it hurts to say I am, but I am. And it
sucks and I'm not gonna I'm not taking it. I'm not taking it laying
down. I'm gonna fight in scratch until they until they until they take my
microphone away camera or somebody didn't know about, well, was my home surveillance,
you know? And uh you know, and I'm not going to get
into logistics of that, but I have home surveillance, and uh, you
know, the bottom mind is listening. We all change in life, and
you know, I'm bubb with a love sponge and I'm probably not the most
conservative person in the world. I mean, I'm probably fairly liberal liberal and
probably most um. I think that people do things in life, in their
private life that they're probably hindsight, aren't very proud of. I think my
moral compass has changed. I have I have a wonderful girlfriend. Um,
I can't fathom that now. So it was three consenting adults. Uh,
hey, listen, you know, there's there's a lot of probably really crazy
things that people in the media and athletes and singers and even the private sector
do that they don't want people to know about. And I just happened to
be a guy who got caught doing some freaky stuff. But you know what,
everybody, A lot of people do it. Again, I think my
moral compass has changed tremendously. But you know, if I think a lot
of people would be hypocritical to say that that does and happened in other people's
lives as well. I don't think I'm this, you know, freak of
nature. I just happened to get my hand caught in the cookie jar and
shouldn't have you know, had my shouldn't have preserved my home surveillance. So
um, but I'm not going to shy away from it. I'm not going
to say it didn't happen. I'm not going to say that I didn't have
a part apart in this issue in itself. UM, I'm gonna man up.
I'm going to take responsibility for what I did. Um, including but
not limited to if the act that I did was still under state was not
timed out by state statue limitations, I'd be facing a crime as well.
I'm not going to run from that. I'm not. But but when you
own something, whether it's morally right or not, it doesn't give anybody the
right to distribute it. But distribute it they did, and uh, yeah,
right, I wonder here in twenty fifteen, the last time he may
have talked to whole Kelgan would have been like, what's your current situation with
the two I've only seen carry during positions. It's it and it's very unfortunate.
You know, if if that's what I deserve, then I understand.
I would hope that maybe one day we could reconcile. And you know,
he was the best man at my wedding. He's the godfather of my son.
So maybe I'm not worthy of him forgiving me, and I certainly wouldn't
blame him for that, but I would hope that the old expression time heals
might might happen here reaching out to him at all. No, not anytime
soon. You know, we had the civil trial that's coming up, and
then maybe after that, you know, that might be a better time.
But right now we have to concentrate on the civil trial, or he does
at least, and I gotta, you know, go and testify. I
probably the que witness on that, and I need to be truthful and help
you and I will be What are those conversations during this whole process, um,
you know, I mean I've tried to shield my son from it.
I don't think he knows a lot about it, um, But you know,
my my girlfriend's been very supportive. It's obviously something I don't like to
talk about. It's something that, you know, it's not the Father of
the Year material, so I try not to, you know. I hope
that it will go away soon, you know, maybe after Marjah will so
Hulk standing there is this best man a Bubba's wedding, and who's Bubba across
the altar from Who's he marry? Hogan's sex toy? Amazing? Imagine Hogan
sizing her up at the altar, Brother, thinking about line and this thing
up. Brother, I'm just trying to dial in my cock. Dude.
At the end of the day, brother, she belongs to the streets,
Bubba, you know, you know, brother, here's the thing, dude,
as turn turned, Bala has controlled brother, but Hulk Hogan, you
know, he guess what he wants. Dude talks so much about Hulk losing
control around this point in time and having no kind of bearings about where he's
going in his life and with his you know, celebrity status and what it
has all come down to for him. How about Bubba, What's what's next
for him? After reflecting on all that's happened and all that was about to
happen in twenty fifteen hit Bubba three. There's been a lot of good people
and to just the kind of a time out with just people and just center
myself around my family and my my my workers that are still with me and
and my loved ones. That stuff changed around here. We're on BRN No,
hell no, we're having We're having as much fun it wes you ever
had. I think that we have the best lineup we've ever had, and
I think that we've been doing some of the best shows we've ever had.
So what's next? Um, You know, if I was to be dead
honest with you, what's next for me is to is to retire. And
I've never said this to anybody, but you know, I don't. I
don't want to do this anymore. I don't. Good, I don't want
you to do it anymore. This is just really um showed me a side
of people. Uh, you know, I'm I'm I'm getting very emotional here
and I didn't anticipate this, but I, um, I just I'm not
having I'm having fun, but I'm having a hard time trusting people. And
uh and obviously, um, people can do anything they want to me and
it doesn't matter. So why do I even need to play this game anymore?
I got a big house that's almost paid for. I can downsize it.
I got a pretty good savings, I got some nice investments. I'll
be okay. But um, um, you know, if if, if
people are allowed to do this to people, and it's just the wild West
based on who you know, then I don't even want to be in the
I don't even want to be in the limelight, be on the radio.
Talk to good. I don't want to play this game anymore. Good,
I'll go. I have some nice property and ocado with my racetrack. I'll
go get and build me a nice place up there and I'll be out of
here. Great do it now, you know, I'm I'm over this go
away from thrusting himself into our limelight two now trying to throw in the towel
an exit stage left, but spunge get out fucking loser, Aces and Nates.
Oh how about it? Is this Bishop signature creative accomplishment? I mean,
do they have we seen a main storyline that doesn't involve an invasion?
So true, yet it's almost like Bishof has one idea. I know,
you know, I always wanted to think it was the other way, but
I'll tell you, man, I just it really is true. It's so
true. He's just got it. That's always got He's got that one fucking
story. And it makes no same change the characters look and feel, but
the concept is still the same. They're trying to get it, still the
same thing. They're trying to gain entry. They're trying to stir shit up,
just like Hall of Nash in the first episode of the Hogan Bishof era
impact. Remember that people stopping them at the door and how are they getting
in here? And they're attacking people and it's except, you know, the
thing is, the thing is in ninety six they had actual like you had
a reason in a weird way for the two of them to enter and try
to take over a wrestling company, But in twenty twelve and the way that
they do it, you're kind of like, what do they want with a
wrestling company? Right right? Why do they want to run rough shot on
this turf of all places? Right Like? Why not fucking take over a
movie studio or something? And I'm sorry, you know, or complete fools
that I don't know what that what they're trying to it's really bad. It
is. It's awful. It look like I mean, it's it's it's it
may be one of the most the dumbest things I've ever seen. I mean,
what is the problems with leather vests over flannel shirts, long jeans,
and masks with the hood pulled up over the masks so you can't tell who
they are? What's the problem? Would that? Look? What isn't the
problem? Numbering out there like a clown car and you know, streaming into
the impact zone and they're supposed to be this menacing force and they're all like
lumbering oaths that they all and they all look like fucking buffoons they do.
They look like like foolish, like clowns. Yes, and they're supposed to
be like so dangerous and I don't know why. Well, I'll trying to
get in Eric's head a bit. He did a podcast um that's on the
AD Free Networks network called in Depth, where they go deep behind a storyline
or an angle, and here they had Eric on as a guest to talk
about aces and eights, and you know, they kiss. Eric's asked a
lot about the thing being like the stroke of genius and everything. So I'll
spare everybody that's serious. I wish I will. Actually, that's that I
want to hear. I want to hear these fucking idiots kissing his ass over
the brilliance of this ship. You know, that's like, I'm sorry,
you know who remembers this fondly? I mean, come on, you know
you see the ratings like no one, no one wanted to see this.
I I get so irritated with people who think who kissed people's ass for the
sake of whatever. It's so frustrating to me. It gets me so fucking
triggered. They just because you didn't like, if you really enjoyed the storyline,
then you don't deserve to watch anything on TV. If you if you
thought this was brilliant, you need to just fucking end it. Well,
well, we'll get into all of the story's many beats for the purposes of
this episode. Here, we're just going to the end of twenty twelve and
where Aces and Ate stood at that point in time. I mean, oh
my god, that's I mean, the reveal of Divon being involved with the
group. I mean, talk about a shocker. I was, I said,
you know, so, I as I was watching this complete load of
garbage, I said to myself, well, you know, I bet they
have a good reveal as to who's involved. Yeah, I said, if
anything, we're gonna get a good reveal. You know, they probably got
somebody you know, we haven't seen in a while. And then I was
just appalled by the reveals that we got. And Luke Gallows aka Doc the
dc A aka Festus, that's correct, that's a problem. Why were you
underwhelmed by Devon? He looked at being great shaped, cutting passionate promos.
There was no question, no question. He's just not interesting. Wow,
he's not the kind of guy that I am Like, Wow, I can't
believe he's on that side. Like I would have preferred somebody that we've already
that like somebody swerved, you know, like it was a fucking somebody from
the the good guy the baby face side turned than this ship. Also,
please, on a separate note, I'm done with James Storm that right?
Why Oh I'm I'm I'm so sick of this guy who thinks he's so fucking
cool, who the fans think he's so fucking cool, and that stupid catchphrase
and that stupid song and his stupid fucking cowboy at get the fuck off my
TV. Hey, Well eventually he would, oh, sorry about your damn
luck, boss, fucking what do you mean, sorry about your sorry about
your damn look, sorry about getting the fuck away from me? Oh?
So much upside with this kid, I mean, homegrown teating world champion.
He's a great gimmick. People love the rack. No, I don't get
it. What do people? Why are people cheering this fucking loser more than
anything? It's because he like talks about ringing beer and doesn't give a shit.
It's like that a little bit of Steve Austin in him, you know,
just a bit Oh he wishes Yeah, I know, I mean listen
the yeah if if if if it takes drinking beer to make you look make
you be cool. Then you know what, go be cool someplace else.
I'm an alcoholic. Cheer for me. I'm the alcoholic in your family.
Cheer for me. I have a truck. Cheer for me. I have,
um, you know my kids ride horses. Cheer for me, right
right? Oh that shit rhyin stones, you know, like the Nashville like
cowboy outfit from a two thousand teens. You know, Well, everything's bedazzled
for some reason, Like what's happened to dude? There's nothing about you that
is interesting, that is cool? What about his bootcasteam relevant? I can't
stand he's such a I'm just naming positive things as far as I'm concerning.
Yeah, well if those are positive things, and I'm just completely boss.
Do you think Bischoff learned anything from his time and reality television that he applied
to the Aces and eight storyline? I think yeah, I do believe he
did. At Bischoff One from the aforementioned in depth podcast on the ad Free
Shows Network, I had because one of the things that I learned, yeah
yeah, reality eventually, especially for things like Aces and eights, really applied
was the emphasis of formatting and telling multiple story you know, because if you
look at a lot of reality shows, you've got an A story of B
story of C story to the story because not any one of those stories,
but those particular talents generally are strong enough to carry an hour. So what
do you do. Well, you got to mix up the cast because you
need five or six personalities to fill up an hour that's relatively interesting, right,
because you don't have one person that can do it. So you have
to get really good at formatting those stories and structuring them. I call it
ABCD stories. I never used to do that. Everyone does, you fucking
idiot, because I learned shut up in order to keep the attention span of
the audience. Layering your stories, oh my god, that way and knowing
when to arc each one of them throughout an episode or throughout a series is
the key to making something work. So it was all to me. Everything's
format format, format still is to this day. Obviously the creative that goes
into those formats are important, but the format is I learned in reality television.
Is he a fucking moron? Oh he's a genius. Actually he's your
fucking moron. That's that's not reality television. That's all television. You dump.
No, I mean, don't don't be mad that he had success ABCD
storyline. That's all fucking television, every bit of it. Well, yeah,
they're just formats in reality TV. Oh my god, how many more
times to get a reference formats on TNA and the actual show. I cannot
stand him right now. I mean t TNA Bischoff is the worst. It's
it's hard because you know so much of Bischoff's story in the past, like
I guess ten years maybe five years since his podcast took off. Really is
really, you know, the the Eric Bischoff of Nitro, and that's the
bishof that like prevails in the public eye. Not realizing so many of the
things when you look at his tena Roun, working with Russo, working with
Hogan, the kind of unwind a bit, you know, a lot of
the things you think are strengths, you realize that he actually doesn't have much
depth to his thinking on some of the things that he's credited with. Um
But you know, I think, you know, the guy was clearly a
transformer to figure in the business and of historical a great television performer, a
wonderful television performer, But I think, um, we forget about how fish
out of water he actually can sound, and when it comes to conversing about
it, because he hasn't you know, he just has so many Um he's
he's he's driven so many things into the ground, even if they work for
a little while. You know, Um, the NBO is one of the
hottest angles ever. But besides that, what are we what are we really
talking about how he's done? You know what I mean, It's a guy
who figured out out that like as long as I keep Hull Coogan happy and
as long as I kind of become a whole Coge's emissary somehow not not considering
that a conflict of interest, where basically I mean we're basically I'm the one
telling Vince Russo bashed at the beach two thousands and hul Cogan isn't going to
do this, or that I'm the one coming up with a Halloween havoc tournament
alternative to finish like I'm a Hul Coogan's agent one. In fact, I'm
actually supposed to be coboss with Vince Russo of WCW not working for one particular
talent. You know that'd be like Bruce Pritchard all of a sudden telling Vince
like, I'm just gonna I'm just gonna communicate to you what Roman wants to
do, and I'm just gonna book storylines that are favorable to Roman Reigns and
just completely obsessed over whether Roman Reigns is happy and do shit all for the
rest of the show, Like what what do you mean the kid just jump
fences like that You're supposed to be You're supposed to be guarding against that kind
of you know, ego or that kind of outsized contract completely running rough shot
over the production. But you know that's that's Russo that pardon me, that's
Bischoff ride or die Visay Hogan and in TNA he dies. Um, let's
not forget Boss Eric Bischoff's loves motorcycles. And if you thought that didn't have
anything to do with Asis and Eates, you of course would be dead wrong
dead man's hand if you will hit Bischof too. But here's where I think
it truly is for me. I've always looked, look, I grew up
when Easy Rider came out, Oh shut up, I find I was like,
I don't know, maybe twelve I can't remember how old I was.
I was old enough to think, wow, that is badass, but not
old enough to really understand what any of it all meant. I just dug
the motorcycle because of those fishtail pipes in the sissy ball. That was it
for me, And I thought to myself, Someday, you know, I
might have been ten or twelve, Someday a twenty something year old me's gonna
have a chopper with fishtail pipes. But my point is, I've always been
kind of attracted to motorcycles. But I got my first one when I was
thirteen. I literally been riding a motorcycle since I was on the streets,
since I was fourteen years old, two years before I had a driver's license.
So I've always enjoyed motorcycles and the culture that comes with it. But
at this particular period of time, I don't want You're with two thousand and
twelve somewhere in there. At that point in time, not only was Sons
of Anarchy really emerging as a huge hit for FX, but it dealt with
the world of motorcycle clubs. Notice I didn't say gangs, because that's disrespectful.
We don't want to do that, but the motorcycle club culture, and
I was surely influenced by the success of of FX and Sense of Anarchy.
But we were also Jason Hervey and I more Jason than me at the time.
We're also producing a reality show based on a motorcycle there it is,
and we're doing that down in San Diego, and that was kind of happening
while you know, Jason was developing Devil's Ride, right, that was the
name of the show. It was on Discovery Network, right, So Jason's
got that. I'm doing Aces and eight. So he's in that reality world
of that bike club with real bike club members, and I'm over here doing
fictional bike club stuff and professional wrestling. So it's really kind of a fun
time, it is it. I'm not having fun. Yeah, I think
Bischoff actually is wrong. And assuming that wrestling fans give a shit about motorcycle
culture, I mean less than also three percent of the wrestling fan gives about
that give a shit about your interest in motorcycle to sit here like be subjected
to his sort of interpretation of what it sounds like when they gather around and
play poker and smoke cigarettes, and I try to try to be cool,
not interested in in anything that he has to fucking say or do. Mister
mister hog wild. I mean, the guy looks cool on a motorcycle.
I don't know why you're solf fucking mad about that, just because, yeah,
you know, because you look cool on a motorcycle. Hey, you
know what it's all about that. It's all about my insecurity. That's the
bottom line, no question. I mean insecure, and fucking Bischoff makes me
feel insecure about myself. I wish I was Eric Bischoff. I wish my
best friend was fucking Jason Hervey. I wish that I fucking smoke smoke,
right. I wish I smoked fucking venison that I killed that morning without a
human being in sight, for sixty miles, right exactly. And I wish
that I, you know, fucking had a meat locker loaded with fucking you
know everything that I fucking hunted. I wish I went bankrupt. I wish
I right, right, I wish I wish I had a spread in Wyoming.
I wish that, uh that everything that I that I ate was from
nature. I wish I had a successful beer company, right. I wish
I wanted to have a beer. I wish that I could have a beer
with anybody. She had a successful, you know, license and ip online
gaming company. I wish that I. I wish that I understood formatting,
right, wish I understood story, not stories, not telling a story but
story. I wish that I learned formatting from reality TV. I wish I
could have a burger and a beer with him and him and her and him.
M hmm. I wish that I, you know, I had a
burger with meat that I killed and that I I personally ground. So there
you go, hopes and wishes. But Eric loves motorcycles. Did you ever
see Suns of Anarchy? Did you watch it? Nah? I never I
never got the hang of it. Yeah. I never cared. Yeah,
I never cared because you know why, I'm not interested in motorcycle culture,
right, It's not even close. Yeah. I definitely done up a bunch
of wrestlers to look like they care about motorcycle culture. A bunch of fucking
people. Yeah. Remember just picture um Skull right now from Disciples of Apocalypse
Space. Are you excited? No? Chains, No, I don't care
for taker, absolutely not. I don't fucking care about this shit. It
is so frustrating, and there music, it's like, it's so frustrating,
especially because it just like it's one thing to watch it the way that we
watch it. Yeah, but when you realize this was like done with all
sincerity, fucking when you realize that it just how many weeks this went?
Oh my god, well you have to tell my story arcs or whatever he
said, with no development. No, the d story is developing at a
slower pace. In the A story you just can't keep pays, you know
what I mean. Like he's got like eight burners, eight burners going right
an industrial kitchen because that's reality TV. You ever see the kitchen at like
you know, um, backstage at a hotel restaurant? Like, no,
I don't care. I never cared. So what about this Devil's Ride TV
show that's so oft and tick to biker culture? Boss? How about this
oh, give it to Discovery based on the San Diego, California motorcycle club
called Laughing Devils, which is just you know what a name? Yeah,
of course. And yeah, so these these these bikers are like butting heads
on this show and having like fights, and I don't know, it looks
like pro wrestling to me, you'd be the judge. Here's a sample.
Devil's Ride Too is what we'll start with. Please, I'm so into it.
The Lamping Devils and Sinister Mob are facing off for the first time.
The line is drawn and neither is backing down. We are the only writing
gray club in San Diego, and these jokers want to come in here and
start wearing this colors man like like it ain't no thing. It's a big
thing to me. What do you guys want to do? I don't understand
here a damn argue like women, we want to get down. We're gonna
get down. You guys want to do your thing. What's up? I
was done talking? Let's get down, you know. Let's take it back
to the cowboy days for well, for you home boy. Let's yeah,
find up? What's up? Find up? Yeah? Let's go just out
of control right now, I mean between my family the club, Like,
mentally it ain't good and Bubba's got me in a bad spot right now.
I'm getting ready to take this hour. Let's go snute. That was a
knife. All bets are off the table. Hey, hey, goff,
everybody clear the alley. Thing going on nothing and I d got saved by
the bill. Let's put it that way. It was my get out of
jail, that was his get out of the morgue. There's only so many
cards like that in the dead many, so many cards like that in the
deck? Buff. Can you see me inspiration? Can you taste it?
I mean, I'm I'm so, I'll tell you what. More than anything,
I'm so glad that we didn't have to hear any sort of vulgar language.
Yeah, they leaped it all out, which is to our benefit,
thank god. I mean, it just sounds cool as fuck, Just something
I instantly need to see in wrestling. I can't tell you how little I'm
gonna watch this show so right, they're all tied into the culture, and
if you're not tied into the culture and treat it the right way, then
your life is in danger or whatever Bishop is intimating, or is it just
another reality show? A guy named Mitch Smiley, who did twenty years in
prison for biker gang activities as a podcast called Hard Intensions and recently um he
interviewed somebody by the name of Fuzzy from a motorcycle club who participated on Devil's
Ride and had this to say about how they so accurately reflected and just simply
documented motorcycle culture. Let's hear Devil's Ride one. You know a lot of
people don't They don't know what um script you know, and oh there is
reality like uh like you'd go on like the price is right, it's a
reality show, okay, But the thing is they picked the people beforehand who
are going to be playing the reality part, right, Okay, so it's
like fake reality exactly. Yeah. So so when you doing a TV show
and the reality shows really big at this at that point, you know,
in the in the team, you know that, uh, you still have
to have some kind of storyline. You can't just have shit that's going on
like like this complete chaos in every which direction without having some kind of storyline,
right you know. Yeah. So so in a way the way that
they would they would set it up is like they would say, like,
uh, you know, alry, fuzzy you and smile, You're gonna be
doing a you know, a conference on the phone or something up there,
you know, and they may tell me, okay that someone's gonna come through
the door. Someone someone's gonna bust through the door with a gun and and
they're gonna like kidnap me. Why we're doing this conversation, right, okay,
but they want to see how you're going to react to it because you
don't know that this is going to happen. Yeah, you see. So
so there's no script for you to follow. It's just like what the fuck,
what the fuck? What are you doing? You know? What do
I do? You know? Like so so you know, so when you
got a reality like that, there would actually people in the show that went
to the hospital. There's people that that got bruised up pretty bad. Yea,
so people got seriously hurt. There's a lot of a lot of feelings
that got hurt. You know. Oh yeah, yeah. Were you the
only guy from your club in that uh in that show? No, we
had I had uh we had uh let's see, they had four four other
guys that were with me mostly and I mean so the other there was like
two clubs like competing I think season one. You know, then I got
transferred that we didn't have that, but uh so are those real clubs that
they were real clubs at the at the time, you know, like the
the the which called the Lapping Devils, they actually they are the ones that
kind of brought it together because they were they are the ones that started it.
They were uh, they were they were a club that was trying to
trying to help the uh military people, you know, and uh, and
then they got approached by doing this show. And then and then, you
know, like anything, you've got to keep the storyline. Ghosts is something,
oh God, keep to keep the viewership going. Hey, here's motorcycle
club. Look they ride motorcycles. And yeah, the drinking beer and fighting
what I mean gott to be some kind of you know, it's good stuff.
So they, I mean, are are are people this stupid? Really?
Are we? Are? We? I mean this guy is acting like
he is this closing groundbreaking work, that's all. No, he's not.
He's trying to fucking whistle blow. I hate everybody well in that vein,
it's all about the young talent and ninety day story arcs hit Bishop three.
My my goal at that time is not to create this storyline that gets some
young talent over that we can make work for the next sixty to ninety days.
I always look to my story arcs and TNA as ninety day arcs.
What ninety day arcs? Because I'm sure can pitch Viacom ninety quarterly storyboards,
story show bibles. Fucking Miles Stitch over here. I'd have every quarter they
would have a show bible that would take them through everything that's going to happen
for the next three months. So I built my storylines accordingly. Thank God
for that. Let's get some name dropping in as to how he developed this
working process. No, but but I knew Cliffhanger's work. I like them.
Most people do, um and I was so focused on creating Cliffhangers even
early on. But I got better at it. I was much better at
it in TNA than I was in WCW because I had a better understanding of
it, largely because of what I learned on the reality side of the process
from studios, from studio executives at the highest levels. I've worked with some
of the biggest ones in the industry. I've worked with Mark Burnett, I've
worked with a lot of them, Mike Darnell, who was there for a
long time. It was Mike Darnell and and Mark Burnett is the two most
prolific, you know, reality producers in the industry during that the peak of
its of its heyday, and I got to work with both of them.
Um some more than others, but a lot of guys like that Tom Beers
I got to work with extensively. Yea prolific producers in the history television.
Guy have created you know, Deadliest Catch, Yes, Garage, Yes,
any number of any number driven life or death, extreme type shows and extreme
environments. There's probably a Tom Beer show. And I got to work probably
with Tom on projects together, developing WOW. So you just learn a lot
by being able to work with smart people. And I was able to take
that and really apply to aces and aids in a way that focused on the
episodic cliffhanger. And you've touched on a couple of times, but it was
really the focus of it all from me, even more than the cliffhanger elements
of it was creating questions. Of course, I learned by accident, not
by design, lucky, but I learned that creating the Who's the third Man
and all of the horsepower and energy that that created. I knew that I
had to keep to get that card in my pocket because that's a card you
could you should use. You can't overuse that card too, you know,
getting people and I'm and you have to be smart about it. You have
to be creative about it. Like everything else in television, if it's going
to work, it's not easy. But the more you can create subtle,
almost in indiscernible elements to a story that create questions talking about the viewer's mine,
you're they're coming back right as opposed to telling them things. When you
tell them things and they don't have anything to think about, you're missing half
of the equation. You're leaving half of the value on the table. But
if you can get them to enjoy what they're washing but at the same time
create ways get them to ask subtle questions of themselves, and you own them.
Except there's a big problem. You can't create that kind of compelling TV.
What a fucking idiot. Come on, man, he's got his finger
on the pulse. He knows how to make you. He's got a finger
on some on somebody's pulse. Is not anyone who's watching fucking TV the most
indiscernible hints of where story is heading. I can't stand him. I can't
stand his like his need to be validated by by you know, real TV
people. Well, I mean, yeah, it was just things he picked
up things either are working from the best, were the best and brightest.
I mean, you know this, it's like a free education. But you
know the place that the boardrooms he sat in and the catered lunches he's participated
in, of course, they got like they got like um cozy like like
they got like a like a place that does like wood fired pizza. But
they got the sandwich and salads right right. You know they they they you
know they get those kind of uh those fucking bagel spreads with like you get
like a huge assortment of bagels and vegetables and cream cheese, and he only
goes for the vegetable. I mean, look, all I'm saying is aces
and ates sprung from this deep well of experience. It's so excite. The
fact that he fucking says the fact that he fucking says the third man thing
is deplorable. It's insulting, deplorable because he admits that he's only got one
fucking idea, man, that he is a one hit fucking one to reveal,
right, like the big over like the same thing with them Jeff Hardy
at Bound for Glory twenty ten. Yeah, the same thing here. It's
like all along it was blah blah blah blah. Right, And just a
little bit more color here on what will be the prevailing storyline for this week's
treatment. Here on total down Stop Hogan, the beginning stages, the gestation
period has helped put it with sway in the morning of Ass and Eights.
We get a little bit of insight here from Eric Bischoff on the settings,
the trappings of the Aces and Eights characters and just just what was this clubhouse
they met in Bishop five, you know, when we'd go back stage for
interviews while they were in the clubhouse. Yeah, and by the way,
that was just like a steam room that seconded as a broom closet. But
that gritty, funky, you know, underground look played into that world because
it's a subculture, you know, and so it was just really easy to
make it feel credible and not just guys riding motorcycles of the ring wearing you
know, leather vests a way to make it feel credible, boss, Are
you're ready to put that to the test? I mean, it's not credible
with the backdrop of sex scandal and potential further damaging reputational elements being in the
ether. Hulk Hogan pushes that to the side when it comes time to roll
camera on these live weekly Thursday and At Impacts from eight to ten on Spike
and does battle with the Aces and Eights, the brainchild of none other than
Eric Bischoff, now firmly receding into the background as the creative mastermind of TNA
as opposed to an onscreen television performer, having mostly consolidated power after the departure
of Vince Russo. It's unalloyed Eric Bischoff. It's Aces and Eight, It's
the Hulkster. It's up next on TNH Great
