Official Saturday Night Main Event Review: Devastating Injury to Seth Rollins, Goldberg Retires, Jade & Naomi Brawl

<v Speaker 2>twenty five. Boy, lots happened in the last twenty four hours.
<v Speaker 2>Saturday Night main event has coming gone. One that will
<v Speaker 2>probably be remembered for a while, and not for a
<v Speaker 2>good reason with the seth Rollins injury. We're gonna dive
<v Speaker 2>into that in a moment. But yeah, I mean, overall,
<v Speaker 2>I will say I thought that was a really good
<v Speaker 2>Saturday Night main event. I did. I don't have a
<v Speaker 2>ton to complain about. We'll go through a match by match,
<v Speaker 2>I'll give you my nitpicks as I do. But overall,
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was a successful Saturday Night main event
<v Speaker 2>for what Saturday night main events should be, and that
<v Speaker 2>is a a C level PLEE. That's what they are
<v Speaker 2>that recur regularly and they just are kind of a
<v Speaker 2>stop gap between actual pls and the next one beyond
<v Speaker 2>the evolution one tonight is SummerSlam in just a couple
<v Speaker 2>of weeks. So here we go. Don't blink because here
<v Speaker 2>comes another. And I want to thank everybody for joining

<v Speaker 2>I not start with this? Seth Rollins takes on La
<v Speaker 2>Night and a match that was going pretty well, a
<v Speaker 2>match that I really thought that Seth Rollins was going
<v Speaker 2>to come away with a victory on Will Never Know
<v Speaker 2>as the audible was called with La Knight just hitting
<v Speaker 2>his finish and they went home and La Knight wins.
<v Speaker 2>But it doesn't mean anything. It's not about the La
<v Speaker 2>Night victory, which does, on a side note, suck for
<v Speaker 2>La Knight. I mean he was poised to potentially continue
<v Speaker 2>to work with with Seth rollins, maybe even be catapulted
<v Speaker 2>into the world title picture or the maybe even there,
<v Speaker 2>I say, ww on dispute a championship picture. But we'll
<v Speaker 2>never know. We'll never know because of the injury. And
<v Speaker 2>the injury as we all saw, took place when he
<v Speaker 2>did a springboard moon salt that he caught himself with
<v Speaker 2>as he's done a million times, and landed on his
<v Speaker 2>knee and I've slowed it down and I can't see.
<v Speaker 2>You know, he didn't twist it. From what I saw,
<v Speaker 2>it just possibly just popped. It didn't look brutal. He didn't.
<v Speaker 2>You know, sometimes you see ankle rolls or knee buckles
<v Speaker 2>that you can just be like, oh my god, that
<v Speaker 2>looks brutal. If Seth didn't get injured there, we would
<v Speaker 2>never have known anything happened because it didn't look like
<v Speaker 2>anything happened. He's done that a million times. And you know,
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure the pros will tell you, We've heard it
<v Speaker 2>from them that a lot of times injuries occur with
<v Speaker 2>the most common moves. It's not the spectacular bumps that
<v Speaker 2>a lot of times injuries happen. It's the moves that
<v Speaker 2>you've done a million times, and that one million in
<v Speaker 2>one time is the one that pops. The injury and Seth,
<v Speaker 2>we don't have a diagnosis yet. I just googled. We
<v Speaker 2>do not have an official diagnosis as to what the
<v Speaker 2>injury is, how extensive it is. It doesn't look like
<v Speaker 2>he's going to be back anytime soon. This knee thing.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, Seth has had issues of the knees forever
<v Speaker 2>and his back as well as we know that was
<v Speaker 2>you know, he took some time off to get surgically repaired.
<v Speaker 2>But this does not look good. I saw some footage
<v Speaker 2>after the match, as many of you have well as
<v Speaker 2>well have and he's limping off, walking very slowly, needing
<v Speaker 2>helped to walk to the back, cursing to himself, frustrated.
<v Speaker 2>Nothing he could do. It wasn't his fault, wasn't La
<v Speaker 2>Knight's fault. It was nobody's fault. It's just one of
<v Speaker 2>those damn things that happens at a really bad time
<v Speaker 2>in Seth's career. And we'll talk about that part of
<v Speaker 2>it in a moment too, not just the injury itself,
<v Speaker 2>but what this means moving forward for Seth and the
<v Speaker 2>storylines he was involved in. But Seth rollins very understandably
<v Speaker 2>was angry in the moment, and I mean anybody would be.
<v Speaker 2>And after he had happened, I mean you can immediately tell, okay,
<v Speaker 2>is this him feigning an injury is part of the
<v Speaker 2>part of the match where Paul Hayman's going to distract
<v Speaker 2>him and or you know, Paul Haymond slips him some
<v Speaker 2>nuts or you know, you'd never know. I mean we've
<v Speaker 2>seen that before as part of the match. But when
<v Speaker 2>the referee pulled him back and there was more than
<v Speaker 2>like ten seconds of Seth's stalling, you knew something was wrong.
<v Speaker 2>The crowd was kind of quiet, the announcers got kind
<v Speaker 2>of you know, somber, and that's when you know something
<v Speaker 2>was serious. And then when the finish happened, the immediate
<v Speaker 2>finish where all Seth did was take a front bump.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it wasn't even sold Well I'm not getting
<v Speaker 2>on Seth for that, but you could just tell even
<v Speaker 2>by the cell that there's no way that this was
<v Speaker 2>actually supposed to happen. It's just it's this is real one.
<v Speaker 2>This is not a BS you know kind of meta story. No,
<v Speaker 2>this is real and now it just as a matter
<v Speaker 2>of how extensive is the injuries that EMCL is, the
<v Speaker 2>ACL is that you Petella, we don't know, we don't know.
<v Speaker 2>It seems like, again on my very much outward non
<v Speaker 2>doctor diagnosis, that it's going to be six months before
<v Speaker 2>we see Seth again. If we see him before WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 2>in my mind, it'll be a good thing. Again, I'm
<v Speaker 2>not a doctor, but based on just the knee injuries
<v Speaker 2>Seth has had, how long it takes to come back from,
<v Speaker 2>especially a torn MCL or whatever it can maybe he
<v Speaker 2>could be looking at a minimum of six months, and
<v Speaker 2>if we get him back in time for the Rumble,
<v Speaker 2>it'll be great. I feel like I said this with
<v Speaker 2>Liv Morgan, although Live has a shoulder injury that I mean,
<v Speaker 2>from what they've told us, it's four to six months,
<v Speaker 2>but who the hell knows. I mean, sometimes they give
<v Speaker 2>us a longer return timetable just so that when they
<v Speaker 2>bring them back early it's more of a surprise. And
<v Speaker 2>so that's possible with Live. I certainly expect Live to
<v Speaker 2>be back before Seth. And again there's there's not an
<v Speaker 2>official diagnosis. I'm sure he's sitting there in the MRI
<v Speaker 2>tube right now, or I did earlier this morning. Or
<v Speaker 2>did last night, and we are getting I'm sure he's
<v Speaker 2>getting doctor's opinions, maybe a second opinion, what the protocol is.
<v Speaker 2>And I feel for him. Man, this instantly has turned
<v Speaker 2>him babyface. It's amazing how that happens, because fans sympathized
<v Speaker 2>with him and they were really enjoying with what he
<v Speaker 2>was doing. And now it's a matter of you know,
<v Speaker 2>what happens next again, we'll talk about that in a second,
<v Speaker 2>but I just hope we see him in time for WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure that that's what he's thinking, is, Okay, can
<v Speaker 2>I get back in time for Rumble? That's that's what
<v Speaker 2>I would be thinking, Hey, Okay, this sucks. Maybe I
<v Speaker 2>can go get repaired surgery as quick as possible, get
<v Speaker 2>this thing rehabbed, and maybe be back in time for
<v Speaker 2>Rumble and Mania. That's what I would be, you know,
<v Speaker 2>thinking about. And we'll see if that actually happens or
<v Speaker 2>what the diagnosis is. But it's not good. It can't
<v Speaker 2>be good. He was writhing in pain. Something popped. It
<v Speaker 2>was a tendon that clearly popped, a ligament that popped.
<v Speaker 2>Something really bad Because he instantly reacted in pain. It
<v Speaker 2>wasn't a cell job. So certainly, I'm sure all of
<v Speaker 2>us can say in unison, you know, get well, Seth.
<v Speaker 2>We you know it sucks for you on a personal
<v Speaker 2>level for sure. I mean, given the fact that Seth
<v Speaker 2>just turned heel not too long ago, he aligned himself
<v Speaker 2>with Paul Hayman, the greatest manager of all time, or
<v Speaker 2>advocate or wise men, or in this case, the Oracle,
<v Speaker 2>which I love that. I love the Oracle. The Oracle
<v Speaker 2>is just it's perfect. I love it. He can see
<v Speaker 2>into the future. It all just works very much a
<v Speaker 2>matrix type of theme there, But I love that. And
<v Speaker 2>he was aligning himself and helping build new stars with
<v Speaker 2>bron Breaker and Bronson Reid. They were on a damn
<v Speaker 2>roll as of late. He's also mister money in the bank,
<v Speaker 2>and there was so much going on there and La
<v Speaker 2>Knight helping helping La Knight get pushed into that main
<v Speaker 2>event scene consistently. Now what does it mean for all
<v Speaker 2>of them, man, I don't know. There's obviously a lot
<v Speaker 2>of creative pivots. They love to use that word. I'm
<v Speaker 2>sure they're pivoting the hell out of themselves. Over the
<v Speaker 2>last twenty four hours, the word pivot has probably been
<v Speaker 2>used more than any other word in WW right now
<v Speaker 2>because they have a lot of storylines to rewrite, rejigger,
<v Speaker 2>because Seth has and was the focal point of Money
<v Speaker 2>Night Raw. He's mister Money in the Bank. He's aligned
<v Speaker 2>with the greatest manager of all time, helping build two
<v Speaker 2>new stars that were on the rise. It's horrible timing,
<v Speaker 2>not that there's ever a great time, but damn, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know what they're gonna do with Seth. And I'm
<v Speaker 2>sure I'll leave that to you guys to come up
<v Speaker 2>with some potential scenarios now that Seth is going to
<v Speaker 2>be out again. My guess is minimum of six months,
<v Speaker 2>maybe more. And you know that's again my unofficial completely
<v Speaker 2>pedestrian diagnosis when it comes to Seth's knee. So we'll see.
<v Speaker 2>But moving forward, guys, I really I don't know what
<v Speaker 2>they're gonna do with Money in the Bank. You know.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sure that they're waiting to see what the doctors
<v Speaker 2>say to see if they need to strip him or
<v Speaker 2>if a pon sets return. If he can make it
<v Speaker 2>back in time, he can still cash it in. That's
<v Speaker 2>actually what I would do, honestly, because then Seth is
<v Speaker 2>coming up on potentially having to get that one year
<v Speaker 2>timeline in where you have to cash it in or
<v Speaker 2>you lose it, and a pon Seys return the moment
<v Speaker 2>he turned returns, he becomes world champion. That's I mean,
<v Speaker 2>that's a very strong possibility, given that he just won it.
<v Speaker 2>Even if it's eight months, he can still pull it
<v Speaker 2>off into and just in time for WrestleMania, cash that
<v Speaker 2>thing in and become world champ. So that's certainly a possibility.
<v Speaker 2>But it does suck because this new heel character that
<v Speaker 2>he was also portraying was a lot of fun, and
<v Speaker 2>it was a lot of fun him just trying to
<v Speaker 2>find them, find his new identity as a heel, and
<v Speaker 2>it's just sucks. It sucks. I've said that enough, But
<v Speaker 2>all right, So that's the Seth. That's the Seth Latest
<v Speaker 2>Seth news. I don't have any diagnosis. It may be
<v Speaker 2>out by the time that I am done recording this
<v Speaker 2>or by the time you listen. Perhaps there's more information
<v Speaker 2>on what the diagnosis is and when he's getting under
<v Speaker 2>the knife and everything else. But I'm sure we'll learn
<v Speaker 2>more on Monday Night Raw Tomorrow night, because they'll give
<v Speaker 2>us likely a timetable. I'm sure they'll say six to
<v Speaker 2>eight months, eight to twelve months. You know, they may
<v Speaker 2>give us just an extended period or out indefinitely if
<v Speaker 2>they don't know. But yeah, well I'm sure we'll get
<v Speaker 2>a bigger update, much bigger up date officially from WWE
<v Speaker 2>tomorrow on Monday Night Raw. So damn seth. All right.
<v Speaker 2>So outside of that, we also had a you know what,
<v Speaker 2>And I never thought i'd say this. I thought it
<v Speaker 2>was an enjoyable main event with Gunther and Goldberg from
<v Speaker 2>the perspective of what we thought we were going to
<v Speaker 2>get out of it. I mean, this was five Goldberg
<v Speaker 2>matches wrapped into one because the match went fifteen minutes,
<v Speaker 2>so it was about five minutes longer than I thought
<v Speaker 2>it would be. But it was cool to see. And look,
<v Speaker 2>I've not been a Goldberg fan. I've never been a
<v Speaker 2>guy that would go and cheer for Goldberg. I wouldn't.
<v Speaker 2>I never have. Even during his heyday, I always looked
<v Speaker 2>at him as a stone cold knockoff. He looked the part,
<v Speaker 2>super intense, seems like a legitimately good guy, family guy, personable.
<v Speaker 2>I have nothing against him on any kind of beyond
<v Speaker 2>professional level. I just have never been a fan of his,
<v Speaker 2>you know, in ring ability and all that. It just
<v Speaker 2>never appealed to me. But I still think that this
<v Speaker 2>was as good of a match from Goldberg as we've
<v Speaker 2>ever seen. It's a shame that we didn't get this
<v Speaker 2>over his We run in the last sixty or seven years,
<v Speaker 2>eight years, whatever it's been is, he's been in and out,
<v Speaker 2>and having him lose was the right call. There was
<v Speaker 2>no need to fool around. There was some moments where
<v Speaker 2>you thought, whoa, they might pivot here, they might do
<v Speaker 2>something crazy to get the social media buzzing. And his
<v Speaker 2>family was there, and Gunther did exactly what I thought
<v Speaker 2>he would, taunting his family, he shoved his son, all
<v Speaker 2>of that. I think that Goldberg again showed some range
<v Speaker 2>in his maneuvers. I was worried when he got Gunther
<v Speaker 2>up for the jackhammer that he might injure him because
<v Speaker 2>of just Goldberg's history, and he's older, for God's sakes,
<v Speaker 2>he's nearly sixty, which good for him. He's in the
<v Speaker 2>top like zero one percent of fifty eight year olds.
<v Speaker 2>I give the guy all the credit in the world
<v Speaker 2>for getting into that kind of shape, staying in that
<v Speaker 2>kind of shape. I wouldn't want to mess with them.
<v Speaker 2>He's a he's a legit badass, but I would say
<v Speaker 2>that again in Ring. He's never been my favorite, That's
<v Speaker 2>all there is to it. And it was cool seeing
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg's family. Gunther does win in a way that wasn't
<v Speaker 2>my favorite. I don't know what it is with this
<v Speaker 2>sleeper hole. I have no there's nothing wrong with a
<v Speaker 2>sleeper hole being used, okay, And I think it's something
<v Speaker 2>that has been pushed to the side for many many
<v Speaker 2>years as forgot forgotten finish. It's been just used as
<v Speaker 2>a transition or just part of everyone's repertoire in the Ring,
<v Speaker 2>and Gunther has re branded it as a finish. But
<v Speaker 2>it's kind of a boring finish, you know, and not
<v Speaker 2>that heels finishes need to be exciting. They're a heel,
<v Speaker 2>but it's I mean, it's kind of like for me
<v Speaker 2>when Undertaker adopted Hell's Gate. I've never been a fan
<v Speaker 2>of just those kinds of finish, submission submission finishes. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, it's not my thing. I'm more of the
<v Speaker 2>quick hitting stunner, you know, sweet chin music, although that's
<v Speaker 2>gone by the wayside. That kind of finish has always
<v Speaker 2>been my favorite. But Goldberg loses here in a sleeperhold
<v Speaker 2>after Gunter kicks out of the jackhammer, and Gunter retains
<v Speaker 2>as he should have, and then Goldberg gets on the
<v Speaker 2>mic and his retirement speech gets cut off. He has
<v Speaker 2>all of his friends and family in the ring. DDP
<v Speaker 2>shows up heartfelt talking about how you know, just respect
<v Speaker 2>and love each other, and all the stuff that you
<v Speaker 2>know is gushy, mushy stuff that I don't know. I
<v Speaker 2>don't need to hear from a wrestler. But it's his
<v Speaker 2>own speech, it's his own time, and he could say
<v Speaker 2>whatever he wants, and you know, it's it's cool to
<v Speaker 2>say that. In twenty twenty five, we still saw a
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg match back from the Attitude era days. Twenty five
<v Speaker 2>years later, twenty five a quarter of a century later,
<v Speaker 2>and Goldberg is able to still put again again in
<v Speaker 2>his in his own kind of world, a serviceable match
<v Speaker 2>against again one of the world's best wrestlers, in my
<v Speaker 2>mind is Gunther. But so so I think that, you know,
<v Speaker 2>thank you Goldberg what you know for your contributions. I'm
<v Speaker 2>I'm not sad that he's leaving from a professional standpoint.
<v Speaker 2>But at the same time, I can respect his ability,
<v Speaker 2>I can respect his drive, and it's cool to say,
<v Speaker 2>as a wrestling fan, you were still able to watch
<v Speaker 2>Goldberg wrestle in twenty twenty five at a level that's
<v Speaker 2>not embarrassing. The good thing for him is he's never
<v Speaker 2>had a great level of work or range of maneuvers,
<v Speaker 2>so his you know, even if he aged, it's kind
<v Speaker 2>of like, well, his style was built to be aged.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, he already wrestled like he wasn't exactly the
<v Speaker 2>most versatile wrestler in the world, So having him aged
<v Speaker 2>twenty five years is kind of like him staying the
<v Speaker 2>same because there's not much difference between twenty five years
<v Speaker 2>ago what he did in twenty five years ago or
<v Speaker 2>twenty five years later now. So Goldberg retains that's good
<v Speaker 2>and we can move on. I will say too. And
<v Speaker 2>this is just an observation, and maybe others picked this
<v Speaker 2>up as well. Gun Through is putting on a little
<v Speaker 2>weight and I don't care. It's I mean, it's just
<v Speaker 2>to me. It's not sitting here body shaming or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>you know, whatever someone's gonna be offended by. It's more
<v Speaker 2>of just an observation. I was looking at him and
<v Speaker 2>I remember when he was huge in NXT in nxt
<v Speaker 2>UK and looking at him, and they showed before and
<v Speaker 2>after pictures when he went through his transformation and it
<v Speaker 2>was drastic. He dropped like sixty pounds or something crazy.
<v Speaker 2>And it looks like he's putting on weight again. It
<v Speaker 2>looks like he's put back on a good ten to
<v Speaker 2>twenty And I mean, just an observation. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>if I like it or not. I prefer the gun
<v Speaker 2>through that is a little bit more chiseled than the
<v Speaker 2>one that is a little bit more padded around the waist,
<v Speaker 2>but it's still I mean, he's still one of the
<v Speaker 2>best workers. It's just an observation that I haven't noticed before,
<v Speaker 2>and maybe you guys have or have it as well.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, it looks like he's putting on some weight
<v Speaker 2>and it is what it is. That's all all right.
<v Speaker 2>So that is it with the those two matches. Now
<v Speaker 2>let's talk about do I dare? Oh, I'm I'm trying
<v Speaker 2>to see if I have what do I talk about?
<v Speaker 2>I'm scared? All right, Let's let's talk about jelly roll.
<v Speaker 2>All right, We've got to talk about Jelly Roll because
<v Speaker 2>I have some issues with this as expected. All right, now,
<v Speaker 2>on SmackDown, we saw Jelly Roll get interrupted by Logan
<v Speaker 2>Paul and Logan Paul maybe cut the best promo of
<v Speaker 2>his career on SmackDown talking about Jelly Roll and how
<v Speaker 2>he may have the faces or names of his kid tattooed.
<v Speaker 2>He may be the only guy that has the names
<v Speaker 2>of his kids tattooed on his arm that he doesn't
<v Speaker 2>have custody of or something. I was just like, that
<v Speaker 2>is that's awesome. I mean, Logan Paul's really falling into
<v Speaker 2>his own from a personal reality perspective, and the fact
<v Speaker 2>that he was criticizing Jelly Roll for being a celebrity
<v Speaker 2>that's coming in trying to trying to basically ride the
<v Speaker 2>coattails of people who have been here and obviously and
<v Speaker 2>people people somehow didn't get this. Some people I saw
<v Speaker 2>on X just didn't get this. That's the point of
<v Speaker 2>Logan Paul saying that we all know Logan Paul is
<v Speaker 2>clearly being a hypocrite, because that's how a lot of
<v Speaker 2>people viewed him as a guy that was a celebrity
<v Speaker 2>that just came in and rode the coattails of those
<v Speaker 2>that have already been here, and duh, you know that's
<v Speaker 2>exactly how people viewed Logan Paul. And then he uses
<v Speaker 2>that to criticize Jelly Roll, and then obviously Jelly Roll,
<v Speaker 2>you know, stands there and he eventually gets the best
<v Speaker 2>of Logan Paul.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 2>And you know, I I have issues with this again
<v Speaker 2>because Jelly Roll he's one of those celebrities that used
<v Speaker 2>to be the ones that WWE would bring in every
<v Speaker 2>so often. He's that brand of a celebrity that has
<v Speaker 2>no intention of actually taking any serious bumps while making
<v Speaker 2>him look, as you know, as good as possible against
<v Speaker 2>professionals in the ring. And when you look at the
<v Speaker 2>dichotomy or the dynamic between Paul and Jelly Roll, Logan
<v Speaker 2>Paul would drop him so fast. They are the polar
<v Speaker 2>opposites of body type, polar opposites. And I know a
<v Speaker 2>lot of people don't agree with me, but I think
<v Speaker 2>it's an objective fact. Logan Paul is a world class athlete.
<v Speaker 2>He could run circles around Jelly Roll. All right, when
<v Speaker 2>your name is Jelly Roll, it doesn't exactly give you
<v Speaker 2>a ton of credibility. I don't know what Jelly Roll's
<v Speaker 2>obsession is with WWE. I am really I don't love
<v Speaker 2>his music. That doesn't help. He reminds me, then again,
<v Speaker 2>of these the celebrities that would come in and make
<v Speaker 2>fools of the the people that are already here. And
<v Speaker 2>how Logan Paul is just he's being grabbed by the
<v Speaker 2>hair by Jelly Roll and shoved to the ground like
<v Speaker 2>he's a rag doll. I don't like this at all.
<v Speaker 2>And Randy Orton coming to the defense of Jelly Roll.
<v Speaker 2>What why is Randy Orton defending Jelly Roll? Tell me that,
<v Speaker 2>tell me exactly why? What is Randy Orton somehow this
<v Speaker 2>moral compass? He's the moral compass of SmackDown. I know
<v Speaker 2>they're throwing this match together. They're trying to get eyeballs
<v Speaker 2>on the product. I can appreciate that. I get it.
<v Speaker 2>Their business. They're trying to get as many viewers, like
<v Speaker 2>over overlapping viewers as possible crossover audience. I get that,
<v Speaker 2>but man, it is just I don't this Jelly Roll crap.

<v Speaker 2>So now Randy Orton went from potentially winning the World Championship,
<v Speaker 2>the undisputed Championship from John sena who did not make
<v Speaker 2>good appearance nor did Roman Reigns at this event. But
<v Speaker 2>I don't think anyone really expected it too. Now, teaming
<v Speaker 2>him voluntarily teaming up with a guy and defending a
<v Speaker 2>guy that he's never defended before is truly an outsider.
<v Speaker 2>He's truly an outsider. He has no business being in
<v Speaker 2>the ring, and Randy Orton's coming to his defense. This
<v Speaker 2>is ridiculous, and you're wasting Randy Orton on the second
<v Speaker 2>biggest ple of the year by having him tagged with
<v Speaker 2>a guy that is to say, limited in the ring.
<v Speaker 2>Is being kind. I don't understand this outside of just well,
<v Speaker 2>we got we eyeballs, got good eyeballs on the product.
<v Speaker 2>So that's that's what Randy Orton's doing, is essentially being
<v Speaker 2>a poster board for the company over the next two
<v Speaker 2>weeks and then we can move the hell on. So
<v Speaker 2>uh yeah, now, Drew McIntyre, we'll get to that in
<v Speaker 2>a minute.
<v Speaker 1>All right.
<v Speaker 2>So this match, though with Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 2>that opened the show, went eight minutes and twenty six seconds,
<v Speaker 2>with Randy Orton beating Drew McIntyre after an RKO. So
<v Speaker 2>I did not like the fact that Randy Orton won
<v Speaker 2>here because I think Drew needed a victory to kind
<v Speaker 2>of get him on the board, get his career going here,
<v Speaker 2>get his momentum going. And Randy Orton winning, I guess
<v Speaker 2>wasn't really the big story here. It's the fact that
<v Speaker 2>he Drew McIntyre claymore jelly Roll, which was probably the
<v Speaker 2>best thing Drew McIntyre's ever done in his career. He
<v Speaker 2>claymored jelly Roll and it looked awesome, and I'll credit
<v Speaker 2>jelly Roll for you know, he sold it well, which
<v Speaker 2>I mean, all you got to do is follow to
<v Speaker 2>the ground. So that's what he did. And he laid
<v Speaker 2>there and he said, we had McIntyre screaming, that's what
<v Speaker 2>happens when you step in this ring and now you're
<v Speaker 2>a target, which is exactly right. He's exactly right. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>Drew should be applauded for this. I don't think people
<v Speaker 2>are gonna boo Jelly Roll, but I think that Drew
<v Speaker 2>is my hero right now, at least in story. So yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we get that whole jelly Roll storyline that all of
<v Speaker 2>us have been looking forward to so much, and the
<v Speaker 2>match here with Randy and Drew was sadly short. It's
<v Speaker 2>only eight minutes again, eight minutes to twenty six seconds.
<v Speaker 2>I was hoping it would be sixteen minutes at least
<v Speaker 2>double this so all right? Anyway, there was a naked
<v Speaker 2>gun logo in the middle of the ring. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know what this is. Are they remaking Naked Gun? Please
<v Speaker 2>tell me they're not. Naked Gun is a classic. There's
<v Speaker 2>no need to remake it, you know. That's that's what
<v Speaker 2>Hollywood has been kind of relegated to. That's been there.
<v Speaker 2>That's been their big plan to get back into relevancy
<v Speaker 2>and back into the success of the court of public
<v Speaker 2>court of public opinion. But the fact that they're continuing
<v Speaker 2>to just remake stuff, the fact that they can't come
<v Speaker 2>up with anything original, is kind of a telltale sign
<v Speaker 2>that they're out of ideas. If they're truly remaking the
<v Speaker 2>Naked Gun, I mean, we've seen how many remakes and
<v Speaker 2>rehashes and reboots. This is what the seventh Jurassic Park.
<v Speaker 2>For God's sakes, in Jurassic Park rebirth, they're remaking or
<v Speaker 2>they rebooted some Superman with James Gunn who has just
<v Speaker 2>completely politicized and neutered Superman. It's horrible the movie itself,
<v Speaker 2>from what I understand is and I haven't seen it.
<v Speaker 2>I haven't seen it, so I can't I can't actually
<v Speaker 2>say that the movie's bad. But I mean, it's hard
<v Speaker 2>to make a Superman movie bad because Superman is just
<v Speaker 2>an awesome character. It's one of the most iconic characters
<v Speaker 2>of all time just in the world. And to have
<v Speaker 2>from what I understand, the things that have been changed
<v Speaker 2>happened to Superman in the movie, and the vision for
<v Speaker 2>Superman in the movie has been totally just just for
<v Speaker 2>bad lack of a better word, feminized is just I mean,
<v Speaker 2>it's the opposite of Superman. Truth. Justice in the American
<v Speaker 2>way has been completely shattered for just, you know, the
<v Speaker 2>sake of the political beliefs of Hollywood. That's what it is.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that's that's what it is. I'm calling it
<v Speaker 2>like it is. However, moving on, I don't want to
<v Speaker 2>get on too much of a tangent. I know some
<v Speaker 2>of you hate that. I don't know what to tell you.
<v Speaker 2>I just call this show like I really thought about
<v Speaker 2>making a podcast called just tangent. That way, you know
<v Speaker 2>what you're getting into right away. You don't have to
<v Speaker 2>be like, oh my god, I thought he was going
<v Speaker 2>to talk about this, and then he went off talking
<v Speaker 2>about this. It's like, well, the name of the show
<v Speaker 2>should probably have given you a clue that, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going to stay on topic for too long.
<v Speaker 2>Wonder if anyone's done that. There should be a show
<v Speaker 2>called tangent. I know there's a highly successful podcast called whatever.
<v Speaker 2>We all know that show, which is a you know,
<v Speaker 2>a great idea because you don't have to stick to
<v Speaker 2>any one topic. It's literally about whatever. Okay, so let's
<v Speaker 2>continue here. We only got one more match that we
<v Speaker 2>haven't talked about, and then a segment here with Jade
<v Speaker 2>in Naomi. But Solo so CoA versus Jimmy USO for
<v Speaker 2>the United States Championship. Solo beats Jimmy in ten minutes
<v Speaker 2>and fifty seconds to retain the US title, and we
<v Speaker 2>had the finish being Soca rolling to the floor allowing
<v Speaker 2>USO to dive on top of him. Tongala and Mateo
<v Speaker 2>on the floor as well, and the fans were chanting
<v Speaker 2>Holy s because the audio went out, and then Talatanga
<v Speaker 2>missed a big boot, ate a super kick and a
<v Speaker 2>punt kick, and then the distract should allowed Sokoa to
<v Speaker 2>roll up Jimmy for the win, while Talatanga used his
<v Speaker 2>foot on Socoa for extra support to hold Jimmy's shoulders
<v Speaker 2>to the mat. So we have Solo win. And after
<v Speaker 2>the match, so CoA and his goons continue to attack
<v Speaker 2>Uso and Jacob Fatu runs out, clears the ring of
<v Speaker 2>Matteo and Tongaloa and then scored off with Talatanga. He
<v Speaker 2>ate a big boot, Tonga missed the charge and Fatu
<v Speaker 2>sent him over the top rope and then Fatu dove
<v Speaker 2>onto Talatanga and Socoa on the floor. So again, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>this is a finish that a lot of us expected,
<v Speaker 2>but it's the right one. Jimmy Usso is you know,
<v Speaker 2>it's still trying to find I think he's trying to
<v Speaker 2>find his way. He hasn't really quite quite found it yet, Solo.
<v Speaker 2>So CoA continues to win the big matches but lose
<v Speaker 2>every other match in between. Uh. He and his group,
<v Speaker 2>I have to say, have been kind of a I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to say flop. They don't have their identities
<v Speaker 2>squared away. There's too many of them, and so many
<v Speaker 2>of them been introduced in the last few months that
<v Speaker 2>we're all losing track of who's who and why it matters.
<v Speaker 2>The only one that a lot of us know now
<v Speaker 2>beyond Solo is Talatanga because he's the seventh foot guy.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, does anybody know if there's any more
<v Speaker 2>of these Simoans out there? I mean, if we're going
<v Speaker 2>to do it, just bring them all in. I didn't
<v Speaker 2>know there were this many. I really didn't. Maybe they
<v Speaker 2>should bring out that family tree that The Rock showed
<v Speaker 2>a couple of years ago before WrestleMania forty at that
<v Speaker 2>press conference in Vegas. But bring that back out because
<v Speaker 2>I need that to keep track of who the hell's
<v Speaker 2>who and how many of them there are? So are
<v Speaker 2>there really anymore? I just I'm done with it. Talatanga
<v Speaker 2>and Tangaloa and you know, Solo and all the rest.
<v Speaker 2>This it's like a spin off of a spin off,
<v Speaker 2>and spinoffs of spinoffs very rarely work. The og whatever
<v Speaker 2>is almost always almost always the best. The only exception
<v Speaker 2>I can think of in the movie industry anyway which
<v Speaker 2>the sequel was better is Terminator two. I think Terminator
<v Speaker 2>two is maybe perhaps the best in the entire series,
<v Speaker 2>despite all the reboots, all of the you know, rebirths,
<v Speaker 2>all of it. I think Terminator two is the best,
<v Speaker 2>was better than Terminator one. So again, that's one example
<v Speaker 2>of few that may exist. And I just don't think
<v Speaker 2>that this is a storyline that people care all that
<v Speaker 2>much about anymore outside of just Solos with a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of guys that are related to them and they cheat
<v Speaker 2>to win. There's no true identities of these men, and
<v Speaker 2>I just I don't know if they're gonna end up
<v Speaker 2>giving them any identities because they don't seem to beyond
<v Speaker 2>that path. They're just a bunch of thugs that do
<v Speaker 2>the dirty work of Solo to help him keep the belt.
<v Speaker 2>I don't see this group splitting up anytime soon, because
<v Speaker 2>if they'd split them up, they'd have nowhere to really
<v Speaker 2>go with them. So they're trying to give them TV
<v Speaker 2>time in a group, and I get that, but I
<v Speaker 2>think people are tired of the spinoff of a spinoff,
<v Speaker 2>and it's you know, for me, it's time to dissolve
<v Speaker 2>this whole bloodline story just once and for all. But
<v Speaker 2>they're not going to do that I don't think, but again,
<v Speaker 2>in a perfect world, I would do it. So then
<v Speaker 2>we have the one last thing that I didn't talk
<v Speaker 2>about here, which is Jade Cargill being shown in the crowd.
<v Speaker 2>Why the hell she's in the crowd. As I've said
<v Speaker 2>for so many damn of these pls, that WWE has
<v Speaker 2>this obsession with the visual of stars, including WWE stars,
<v Speaker 2>who are sitting in the crowd instead of you know,
<v Speaker 2>in back in backstage areas where there's catering and you know,
<v Speaker 2>the actual friends of those people and family members they've brought.
<v Speaker 2>They're deciding to voluntarily sit with the crowd. Stop it.
<v Speaker 2>I understand it's here that they do it for visual.
<v Speaker 2>Sometimes they do it with wrestlers to start an angle
<v Speaker 2>or to have an assault. And in this case, Naomi
<v Speaker 2>attacked Jade from behind, but to be fair, Jade has
<v Speaker 2>attacked her from behind. Jade attacked her from behind on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 2>and it's like, you know, Jade, WWE, they can't be
<v Speaker 2>really too worried about just keeping Jada babyface. If you're
<v Speaker 2>going to have a babyface attack a heel from behind,
<v Speaker 2>you can't be then to tell me you're too worried
<v Speaker 2>about making sure that people don't boo Jade, so they
<v Speaker 2>didn't really boo Naomi either. There was a slight negative
<v Speaker 2>reaction for her, but Jade ends up kind of retaliating
<v Speaker 2>and it ended up being pretty even keel when it
<v Speaker 2>all got settled and the security team comes out and
<v Speaker 2>keeps them apart, and we had Nick all this come
<v Speaker 2>on the mic and say, Okay, you guys, I knew
<v Speaker 2>this was going to happen. I wanted to talk to
<v Speaker 2>you backstage professionals, but since you're gonna act like this,
<v Speaker 2>I'll just tell you now that your special referee for
<v Speaker 2>tomorrow night meeting tonight for Evolution is none other than
<v Speaker 2>Bianca bell Air. And she comes out. Big reaction. For Bianca,
<v Speaker 2>I have to say that the crowd really seemed to
<v Speaker 2>be on her side. An interesting dynamic. I like this.
<v Speaker 2>I really like this because there's so many different scenarios
<v Speaker 2>that they could go with. Here really only three. I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to overdramatize it. One she calls it down
<v Speaker 2>the middle. There's no hanky panky. She just is there
<v Speaker 2>to and she's there's just nothing interesting that happens. She's
<v Speaker 2>the referee and she calls it down the middle, very
<v Speaker 2>fair and square. Second is she is she stays on
<v Speaker 2>the baby face side. Naomi tries to cheat, she helps
<v Speaker 2>you know, or she catches Naomi trying to cheat, and
<v Speaker 2>she you know, eventually sees Jade win one, two three.
<v Speaker 2>The other is she turns healed. It's the third and
<v Speaker 2>the most interesting option is she turns heel with Naomi.
<v Speaker 2>They really want to go that road, they could. I
<v Speaker 2>think it's very possible they could finally be getting to
<v Speaker 2>a Jade versus Jade versus Bianca matchup, the matchup that
<v Speaker 2>I think a lot of us thought of when Jade
<v Speaker 2>first came to the company, Jade versus Bianca. Is Jade
<v Speaker 2>ready for it? Is really the question that's the only
<v Speaker 2>thing holding everything up. Is Jade ready for it? Because
<v Speaker 2>I think the crowd I do wonder if they tried
<v Speaker 2>to turn Naomi, or rather try to turn Bianca heel
<v Speaker 2>in this match by being special referee, she screws over
<v Speaker 2>Jade gives Naomi the victory, which again I think is
<v Speaker 2>the most interesting by a long shot out of the
<v Speaker 2>three options. Then you do run the risk of having
<v Speaker 2>the crowd still not get behind Jade, even though she
<v Speaker 2>was screwed out of the victory. Even though you have
<v Speaker 2>have uh you know, something bad happened to her, She
<v Speaker 2>didn't do anything wrong. I still believe you could have
<v Speaker 2>and run the risk of people booing Jade. The reason
<v Speaker 2>is until you fix the root of the issue, which
<v Speaker 2>is that people just aren't connected to Jade Cargill, you're
<v Speaker 2>still going to run this risk of no matter what
<v Speaker 2>you do, people continuing to boo Jade or not react
<v Speaker 2>to her at all, which is even worse. So the
<v Speaker 2>root of the issue, as I've discussed and continue will
<v Speaker 2>to discuss, until we freaking realize that, oh yeah, wow,
<v Speaker 2>that's probably why people aren't reacting. They aren't connected to
<v Speaker 2>her on any emotional level. They look at her as
<v Speaker 2>you know, a woman that's you know, she's a statue
<v Speaker 2>she's statuesque. She is incredibly uh yeah, and she's got
<v Speaker 2>an incredible physique. We all know that. But that only
<v Speaker 2>gets you so far. And so until they fix the
<v Speaker 2>actual problem, they're going to continue to see Jade get
<v Speaker 2>this reaction of mildly you know, supportive from the crowd
<v Speaker 2>to at times quiet. So we'll see with Naomi and
<v Speaker 2>Bianca do maybe Bianca is gonna turn me, but she doesn't.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe it's kind of a in between where Bianca or
<v Speaker 2>Naomi gets the victory, but it's because she didn't see
<v Speaker 2>something that Naomi did and underhanded and Naomi missed it,
<v Speaker 2>or rather Bianca missed it. And then Jade has an
<v Speaker 2>issue with Bianca and shoves her down after the match
<v Speaker 2>and they have an argument. Sure, maybe there's that too,
<v Speaker 2>but I'm interested in this and honestly, the evolution pl
<v Speaker 2>E tonight should be quite interesting. I hope it's a
<v Speaker 2>show that we come back and go all right. The
<v Speaker 2>promotion was kind of bad. There are well, I think
<v Speaker 2>seven matches on the show. I'm rooting for the show
<v Speaker 2>to do well. All Women PLA hasn't been done in
<v Speaker 2>seven six seven years, so it's it's it's been some time.
<v Speaker 2>I do wonder if it's going to be an annual thing.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, but I don't have any reason why
<v Speaker 2>or any reason to think that wwe won't deliver tonight.
<v Speaker 2>They've got the stage, they've got this this event that
<v Speaker 2>fans have been asking for, when is it coming back
<v Speaker 2>again and again? For years? And so I hope they

<v Speaker 2>of Roman Reigns, who is right around the corner, probably
<v Speaker 2>just before or at or just after SummerSlam. So there's that,
<v Speaker 2>the Cody Rhods and John Cena match. John Cena is
<v Speaker 2>winding down his career in the next few months, so
<v Speaker 2>there's that to look forward to as well. The build
<v Speaker 2>back up to pre WrestleMania season is not too far
<v Speaker 2>away to me. Survivor Series is really the first time
<v Speaker 2>you can kind of look at the landscape. So there's
<v Speaker 2>there are some things going on here that I think
<v Speaker 2>we have to look forward to on top of Live
<v Speaker 2>Morgan's eventual return. You know, is there a title change
<v Speaker 2>tonight that kind of thing. I think this is hi.
<v Speaker 2>Seth's injury is devastating, There are a lot of good things,
<v Speaker 2>and from what I understand, they're still looking at doing
<v Speaker 2>a draft. WWE is still looking at doing a draft
<v Speaker 2>in the next couple of months as well towards the
<v Speaker 2>fall where they'll assign stars to their respective brands. So
<v Speaker 2>John to put a positive spin on a devastating injury
<v Speaker 2>for Seth rollins that I think all of us are
