00:00:03 Speaker 1: Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King. I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and Bell Collective. Every episode we recap reality television from the Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well. All right, so let's break up Claudia Dusted to see how they're gonna respond to this. 00:00:41 Speaker 2: Hey, Hi, First of all, you forgot the biggest hit of them all with none other than the Goat Candy, Birds on the hook, Legs to the motherfucking Moon for. 00:00:55 Speaker 3: Retret, and you already know. So you know we're gonna be in front row hit rolling legs to the moon. 00:01:00 Speaker 2: That's right, let's go, let's go, and we're going to get outfits from press. 00:01:07 Speaker 3: Yep, Carlos. 00:01:08 Speaker 4: That's right, Bruce Carlos doing is he showing those lights? Because I feel like he's got white shorts on today. I feel like Carls has no draws on. 00:01:19 Speaker 2: They called him shorts move something. Remember that song by the Two Lives Move. 00:01:25 Speaker 4: Shorts. 00:01:28 Speaker 5: That's all. 00:01:29 Speaker 4: Let them plain. I'm short saying that's got planned after the show. That's what that kind of I know those kind of. 00:01:37 Speaker 5: I before the show, I'm jealous. 00:01:43 Speaker 2: They had pall doing that ship. Did you see it? They had paid the bill. Yeah, you gotta go online. I think it's on her social media. It was so funny. 00:01:50 Speaker 3: I love y'all. 00:01:54 Speaker 4: Hey, y'all, he felt it look good. I went and my dad had a cook out this weekend. I want to coast. And then my mom texted me when I was on the East Coast and she's like, today it would be a good day to go to the beach. She didn't know that my dad's because I didn't tell her. So I was like, well, what you doing tomorrow? And I just like surprised her and went to Providence for six hours and then got it. 00:02:13 Speaker 5: Yes, I just less a good daughter. 00:02:18 Speaker 4: Oh no. And since last week and we last for Shirlly, I had to put her down like the next two days later, so on Wednesday, So thank you for the flowers, thank you for the well wishes, all the messages. Thank you so much. I feel like she said bye, so I'm in a good place. They said, my dad's fine. 00:02:34 Speaker 1: Girl. I've been caught that you are beautiful, so you know, I'm sure you have you no great jeans on both bands seemed. 00:02:43 Speaker 4: I first got that he didn't have his teeth in. I was like, I text my brother. I was like, yo, I wasn't ready for this, like it was giving crack. And then he went paid him in and I was like it made such a difference, Like it made a huge difference. So anyways, you know, because the whole yeah, you know, it makes the big difference. So anyways, put him he did. He look like he's a great drama. He was killing it to go to my page, Like what you guys know, I have Tourette's. Okay, if Amanda Fields can self diagnosed and say she has she's autistic, then I can self diagnosedurette. 00:03:16 Speaker 2: I just say Chris Cross made a whole song about it. 00:03:21 Speaker 3: Now I'm just playing, let me chill out jump. 00:03:26 Speaker 4: What was he saying? I was kind of trying to catch him on some clips. Is he is he working out for the Rashida show, the pre show. We're gonna do the pre show. 00:03:33 Speaker 5: So don't talk to think that's a good listen. And I'm not being funny. I'm not ver funny. 00:03:38 Speaker 1: I am okay. So I want to have a real conversation, as you all know. As you all know, when it comes to Rashida, there is this trend that's happening on social media, especially TikTok, of people calling their friends they Mama, they auntie's, they bestie about surprising them with Rashida tickets and. 00:04:05 Speaker 5: Listen. 00:04:06 Speaker 1: I know that sometimes we all can't get our own bubble. I am a huge fan of Fema rappers, huge, I love all Fema rappers right, So I love Rashidah's music. Even before I met her, I used to play Rashidah all the time. So when people started to play on her discography, I'm like, okay, this is like fun shade. But then it happened so much that I was like, why are people dissing Rashida? So we're all around the same age, and am I the only one that grew up listening to Rashida of theerground music? 00:04:43 Speaker 6: No? 00:04:43 Speaker 3: I remember when my bubble gum was really popular. 00:04:46 Speaker 2: I remember it. Shout out to my friend Quinton. Quinn used to blast the shit out of that song all the time, my bubble gum. So I was familiar with Rashida's music for a long time. That's why she ended up landing a spot on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta because people knew who she was, you know what I mean. 00:05:00 Speaker 3: So it's funny. 00:05:02 Speaker 2: It is hilarious because it is an unlikely concert, right, It's not one when I used to Rashida performing, So people were surprised, I think, when they were offered the opportunity to attend one of her concerts. And that is funny to see people's reactions to that. I think as long as people leave it in like the comedic space, it's funny. But once you start trying to say Rashida ain't shit, you know what I mean, that is when it becomes mean spirited. But it's funny, you know what I'm saying. Somebody call you or ask you to go to a concert that you've never seen happen before. That is funny, you know what I mean. It just I think she was a good sport about it too, because then she posts that she posted a comment laughing at the joke, so she oh, she don't give a fuck. 00:05:43 Speaker 3: They got money, you. 00:05:46 Speaker 4: Know, personally, I don't know much about her music. I know her more of a personality and love and hip hop. I got the hosts of Reunion a couple of times, and I've worked with her. 00:05:54 Speaker 1: I liked with you. 00:05:55 Speaker 4: I saw her at Candy's birthday party a last month Atlanta at a mc K. Apparently everybody goes to Okay. I love that spot in Atlanta. Great food, great lofster bite, amazing, amazing you. Every time I'm there, you will see me there. 00:06:10 Speaker 5: And you'll see a lot of married men there too. 00:06:13 Speaker 4: I don't. I don't. They don't register in my eyes ever since I had that eye surgery. 00:06:17 Speaker 5: I don't. 00:06:20 Speaker 1: Mind surgery. 00:06:22 Speaker 4: It's a filter. I don't see married man. I'm like, oh yeah, I would never fit on a housewives. But anyways, uh so, what was I saying? 00:06:32 Speaker 1: Oh? 00:06:33 Speaker 4: I saw Rashida there and I was like I went up to her. I was like, yo, I like you. I really love your personality and you look beautiful every time I see you. And she's always out here working. I did through the trend at first. It's funny. I think it's kind of getting a little mean now though, Like it feels like the pylon with everyone like being anti Rashida, and I don't know what she did to deserve that, Like I keep it light and cute, like Dustin was saying, it's one thing, but to take it a step further and trash as women like she's not with over a billion with streams. She made money, she had a business that's doing well. The girl woman has kept herself relevant for many years, you know what I mean? Like, let's you know, Like I don't know. I feel like sometimes people on social can get a little carried away. Meanwhile, what they driving, what's in their account and what marks have they made on the culture. So I don't know much more music, I know I make want to marry me. I know that song of cod one song loud of Tell at the pre show, you make this happen, Okay. 00:07:33 Speaker 5: I'm gonna make it, lift it so okay. 00:07:35 Speaker 1: So that's in Claudia, mark my words, because I'm saying it publicly live for the thousand people. If I'm able to secure Monding, I live for all of us to do the pre show, to host it, and to interview carly Rid, to interview a lot of the celebrities right before Rashida hops on. I want us to have backstage access to Rashida's concert so that we can get hurt minutes before she gets on stage, and we could also do the post interview if I'm able to secure that dust in a Claudia with y'all com. 00:08:10 Speaker 2: Not only will I come, I'll lead the backstage prayer before she goes out on stage. We're gonna hold hands, goddamn it. So yes, we're coming. 00:08:21 Speaker 4: I think it'll be fun. I'll be there. 00:08:23 Speaker 3: Listen. 00:08:23 Speaker 4: I like going to Atlanta, so iur in twenty minute flight for me. Let's do it when we find you this now, when's the show? 00:08:33 Speaker 5: I will call Kirk myself. 00:08:36 Speaker 1: And listen, right job, y'all think i'll make the best to a joke, I'm actually not. 00:08:40 Speaker 5: I'm going to call Kirk myself and I'm going to pitch this to him, and we're. 00:08:46 Speaker 1: Gonna see what happens. Because again, I believe in giving people their flowers while they are alive, and I also believe in seizing a moment. So I want all of us to be there because I think it'll be great for the three of us to show, right, she does some love. But I think I think it's such a culture shifting movement that I think is dope for the three of us to be a part of something so iconic. 00:09:11 Speaker 4: Culture You're doing too much. Now, I gotta like stop. 00:09:17 Speaker 1: Cultureship. 00:09:20 Speaker 4: Wait now you're gaslight in the audience. Now I have to call you. I don't know, you're doing too much. If cut, it's gonna be fun, gorgeous. There's a whole bunch of people in the comments. I don't know what you want but to read here. There's a lot of energy right now. I'll leave it alone until we get more information. But Cultureship, you're doing wait you you be gassing you you no. 00:09:42 Speaker 5: No, no no no no no no no no. 00:09:47 Speaker 4: Not get it together. Dick out and I thing any time. 00:10:01 Speaker 1: You're trending for three weeks on TikTok, that's a ship in the culture. That's all I. 00:10:07 Speaker 4: Meant to Carlos, we love you, We calum be lyon. Sometimes. 00:10:17 Speaker 3: Here's the thing. 00:10:19 Speaker 2: Here's the bridge, right, here's the bridge. Rashitah needs to have a concert. She needs to throw a concert right now for real, now that people are talking about this, Rashida needs to start. 00:10:30 Speaker 3: She needs to plan a performance. 00:10:32 Speaker 2: I know she's on the bill for like the I think she's performing at one music fest in Atlanta. She's a part of a down South tribute performance or something at one music fest coming up in Atlanta. But she needs to throw a concert while the getting is good, while people are talking about this and doing all that. Rashida totally needs to throw a concert in Atlanta, invite some other people to perform as well, you know what I'm saying, and have a concert. She needs to make it a thing now that it's a joke and into some money. She needs to do what Candy did with that Dungeon tour. How Port was talking shit about Candy having a sex dungeon and she turned that shit into a dungeon tour and made all that money doing it. 00:11:10 Speaker 3: That's exactly what Rashida needs to do with this, Okay. 00:11:14 Speaker 5: So I'm gonna make it happen. So I do want to get into the fact that one. 00:11:20 Speaker 1: Thing is this. Kirk and Rashida also have been trending because kay Michelle is now singing a song that she created on the spot on Love and Hip Hop. She had the piano and she wore a yellow blazer. She is now singing this song at her concerts. It has gone viral. Kirk and Rashida responded by showing the stats of how much of their music has been streamed. It's over rebellions. They are alleging that they have more streams. 00:11:59 Speaker 5: Than Camus Shell. So I'll say this much. 00:12:03 Speaker 1: I like it when the beef is funny, and I and and and Dustin. You said something earlier how Rashida is aware of what's going on. She is is poking fun at it like it's it's not that serious. What do y'all think about Tate Michelle's song? And Dustin, do you actually know the words to it? Because you are the reality historian. 00:12:24 Speaker 3: I wish I had a piano. 00:12:29 Speaker 2: Let's go back and forth, Dustin, come on, you take it off, take it off the top and get that key. 00:12:34 Speaker 4: Okay, bags her husband and girl, her career is over. 00:12:41 Speaker 3: All over the world. 00:12:43 Speaker 2: Then it's a beata lady, bad lady. 00:12:48 Speaker 3: She's a prune. Get her husband out of the room. You gotta go, you gotta go, you gotta get. 00:12:58 Speaker 4: Because like I like the boat. 00:13:00 Speaker 3: Yeah, she't. 00:13:01 Speaker 4: Of course, you know said some things about Came a show of the past, and rightfully so Came a show was upset for many years and you know there's a reason to be it said, someone denies what you've been through. I don't know what the facts are because I wasn't following it back then. But damn, this is like a beat, This is like road Runner and I was it the coyote. Yeah, did. 00:13:30 Speaker 1: Nothing? 00:13:31 Speaker 5: You are so. 00:13:34 Speaker 6: I don't know. 00:13:35 Speaker 4: I don't know why. I can't help it. Arries love going to the end of trying it all right, and then a little bit further and then be like, what what did we do? 00:13:48 Speaker 3: What? 00:13:50 Speaker 4: There's two here and a Libra sandwich in between us, so there's no system of checks and balances here. 00:13:57 Speaker 2: Yes, it was a funny ass moment back in the day when it happened. I remember I can see her fingers right now, the way that they were positioning while she was she was playing the piano on this part of her fingers playing like this. I can see it right now. Shout out to Chemischelle for that moment. You know, it was funny. It's still funny. One thing about it came Michelle knows how to crack a good joke in the month to be used as an insult. You know what I'm saying. She's good at that. Some people are just good at it. She's one of those people that can do that. She's a great, world class arguer, you know what I'm saying. And so that song is just the manifestation of that. It was funny then it's funny now and you know that's what it is. 00:14:44 Speaker 4: You want to take it from the top. 00:14:46 Speaker 3: One, Yeah, can you laughed? 00:14:53 Speaker 5: That's the ass show. 00:14:56 Speaker 3: Rashida got bags. 00:14:58 Speaker 4: Her career is over her. 00:15:00 Speaker 3: Husband or girl, Claudia. 00:15:03 Speaker 1: See that's why, Claudia, go get your luggage. Claudia, you are kicked off the group. 00:15:13 Speaker 3: Baby bye. 00:15:16 Speaker 1: Wow, girl, who knows that? That's that's what's up? 00:15:19 Speaker 4: My second earlier and I said it right. I think I got nervous because of the cameras. 00:15:24 Speaker 1: That's okay, No, no, no, that's exactly why. And listen, listen. They are so best to hear it. Go dust it, Claudia, jump to Carlos. Although I was a part of the show, clip it. If I I will say this, you. 00:15:38 Speaker 3: Knew them both. You love k Michelle and Rachida. You knew love. 00:15:42 Speaker 1: I love them both. 00:15:43 Speaker 7: And I will say this, I think too if if if, hey, Michelle is going to be a part of the Hospalts of Atlanta. 00:15:54 Speaker 1: I will say this, that is a type of comedy that shows like it's that type of just funny. And I like the fact that Rashida and Kirk because even in my interview with them, Claudie and Dustin, they spoke about that. They spoke about ky Michelle saying Kirk in his three ear rings. 00:16:15 Speaker 5: They even laughed at it and get. 00:16:16 Speaker 1: It and they gave it and listen all just aside, they gave Chemi show her property in the interview, saying that girl came up with something that is will live the test of time. 00:16:26 Speaker 5: And in my opinion, in my opinion, I think they're all sitting back laughing at it. 00:16:32 Speaker 2: And that was before she got on stage where she didn't probably want to tell her to kiss they ass now you know what I'm saying, That was before she brought it back up, now back up feelings, you know what I'm saying out there. 00:16:45 Speaker 5: But I feel like if all. 00:16:47 Speaker 4: Works out, do you think they'll ever like think, after all this kind of dietown, do you think that Rashida and came Michelle would ever sit down and swash it? 00:16:56 Speaker 1: What? 00:16:56 Speaker 4: Do you think? It's one of those. 00:16:57 Speaker 2: It's I'm sorry, go ahead, loose, go ahead, No, I was. 00:17:03 Speaker 1: Gonna say, and that was okay. I think I think what Ca Michelle is requesting is an apology to her face. In case you guys don't know, there were some allegations and I'm saying allegations because. 00:17:18 Speaker 5: This is legally vetted. 00:17:20 Speaker 1: There were allegations that were set on the show from Ca Michelle's experience, and ky Michelle and Rashida had a conversation and I forgot the exact words, so guys forgive me. But Rashida questioned whether or not it happened to her and k Michelle rightfully, so you know, had a big reaction to it. That was season one and I was I was on set for that moment and oh yeah, and came Michelle. 00:17:49 Speaker 5: Listen when when that scene. 00:17:53 Speaker 1: What people don't know is this, oh my god, exclusive teeth for the rain drops. 00:17:58 Speaker 5: Okay. 00:18:00 Speaker 1: What people don't know is this, when ky Michelle and Rashida started loving hip hop Atlanta, they filmed that scene like within the first not this scene I'm talking about. They were filming scenes together where ky Michelle spoke about her experience and what the world does not know, I don't think is that scene that we saw where Rashida questioned it the show was airing already and Rasheeda is friends with parties involved, and Rashidah felt the need, being a friend to just ask the opposing question because the episodes were already airing, so that scene was happening weeks after the show aired. The feedback was at its height based on the allegations Rashida was friends, I mean, she's still Rashidah was in a circle and based on my understanding, the block was hot and she just felt the need to have a posting opinion. I don't think any of them knew that this will live on forever. But I think what ky Michelle wants based on what she posted on her Instagram story, she in my opinion, and I haven't spoken to ky Michelle. Yeah, she more than likely wants an apology to her face, because I think Dustin tell me if I'm wrong. I think Rashida may have apologized, but not to her face. I think that's what I've read. 00:19:37 Speaker 3: I don't know. 00:19:38 Speaker 2: I want to apology from key Michelle because she cuts my friend out for no reason in public. Years ago at the Love and Hip Hop Season two Love and Hip Hop Atlanta Season two premiere. She had a gripe with an organization that my friend was representing. He introduced himself as a part of the organization, and she went completely to fuck off and made personal text his appearance and to him on beout half of her beef with the organization, and then as soon as the camera stopped rolling, she called him and I up to the stage and she offered apologies once the camera stopped rolling. So I want to apology to my co host of SANTE on camera too. I understand how she feels. I hope she gets it. 00:20:17 Speaker 5: Well, damn, I wanted kid. 00:20:19 Speaker 8: I don't have money. 00:20:22 Speaker 1: And based on the rain drops, again, I don't know if it is true or not. I go to do my research based on this being a hot topic. But based on the comments justin the Claudia, they are saying that Rashida did not. 00:20:35 Speaker 5: Apologize to ca Michelle, that she's she never knows all right, So so that's that. But listen, I hope that so I'm sorry. I have to rats. 00:20:46 Speaker 4: Remember me and a man of disabilities. Someone said they wanted her to apologize to Tamar. I remember they had that beef. 00:20:55 Speaker 3: Remember that that'll never happen. 00:20:57 Speaker 4: I know because I was out one time when I saw Camra schell out and that's a me, Tamar. We're in a good place and she gave me airful that night. Sorry in New York. But yeah, so there's some pathnic beefs there calls. Maybe there needs to be a show of healing where you get these two tightened together, like like Mimi and Jacksonlyne, Rashida Cay, Michelle tamor came Michelle. 00:21:20 Speaker 8: I would love. 00:21:21 Speaker 3: That dusting in the comments. 00:21:27 Speaker 4: Salon where falcon you guys and the truth. 00:21:35 Speaker 8: On that note. 00:21:37 Speaker 5: All right, so that was Saggy the. 00:21:39 Speaker 4: Gun license, you know, saying that's so many things. I know, they just show called the conversations that I think you could do it for like the grown up version with something think about whose weak would you want to be? Scott? That's never ended me? Who do you think? Sut Kenny Natasha? 00:22:01 Speaker 2: Yeah, ty Bardiya see that Scott video she released. I guess she got some music coming out when she was somebody pushed off that you. 00:22:09 Speaker 5: Tweeted, That's how I saw it. That's just so messy. 00:22:13 Speaker 2: She had she she can rolled out of a car in the mid the desert, and she had shackles. She had shackles on and there was a voice over playing and they made a sound when she broke the shackles. You hear the chain breaking. It was the most ridiculous thing I have seen in my life. 00:22:31 Speaker 4: Oh, Kenya and Kim Fields, come on now. 00:22:35 Speaker 3: They gotta be standing up. There no chairs, They got to be on their feet. 00:22:39 Speaker 1: You know what's so funny about that is Kenya did apologize to Kim Fields, but not in person. 00:22:45 Speaker 5: She didn't go on your show, Cocktails. 00:22:47 Speaker 4: She apologize just to be able to say its face because sometimes. 00:22:50 Speaker 8: I was not open. 00:22:52 Speaker 4: I was healing in this this era, we need healing. I'm ready for some healing. 00:22:59 Speaker 1: I am too. I am too. 00:23:00 Speaker 5: I am too, I am too, I am I know you fucking line. 00:23:05 Speaker 1: Oh I may be available for that. 00:23:13 Speaker 5: All right? 00:23:14 Speaker 1: So listen. That was our We have a new segment, rain Drop, So listen rain Drops. We have a segment called shot Topic. I can? 00:25:38 Speaker 8: I can arrange one. 00:25:39 Speaker 4: You should get a drink to people. 00:25:46 Speaker 5: That is that Jay you're summoning. 00:25:50 Speaker 4: Oh good, that's why you feel away. 00:25:55 Speaker 6: Man. 00:25:55 Speaker 8: Listen, listen, I get my annual from Carlos. I did an annual baptism from from love marriage. 00:26:06 Speaker 5: The social media streets. 00:26:11 Speaker 1: This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show. No, it's funny because at the lamp Reunia listen, I listen. I'm very blessed to do what I do. I love hosting Hunter Rejulias because the cast Claudia A Dusted be sitting already for Washa, Datigants, Yes, and Maurice and I plus plus is why Kenny had some of the best exchange last It was funny. It was funny. It was funny. So No, Maurice is a good sport. So before we get into the latest episode, I love and matche hants bell I wanted to bring in Maurice, Claudia and Dusta to join us on our shot topic of the evening, and that is from my friend Keisha Kiyor Davis. So Keisha Kiyor Davis recently, excuse me, went viral because she did speak about her husband, Gucci Man, and how the only thing that Gucci Man has to worry about is taking a shower, because she takes care. 00:27:22 Speaker 5: Of everything else. 00:27:24 Speaker 1: She buys, the food, she cooks, the food, she buys his clothes, she helps him with everything. And she said that she would be miserable if she did not cater to her husband in this way because she wants her husband to need her and not need another woman, another person, and that's what she finds to be the happiness in her marriage. So that's our hot topic of the evening, starting with Claudia. Okay, only female in the crew. 00:28:02 Speaker 5: Hey, look, Cam, what's your thoughts on that? 00:28:04 Speaker 4: Claudia, Well, because the way he provides so much financially where she doesn't have that stress on her. And then of course she returned the favor when he was in prison and flipped that money and she showed that she's a good stewardess and guardian for his assets. She'd go blow it on herself. I think they deserve each other and I'm totally for this. I think though, you know, that's the way it should be. Like he provides a soft life for her financially, so she doesn't have that burden of stress, so she can make provide the vibes at pen he has no worry. She can feed him, she can cater to him, and I think most women will properly take care of and that's one thing off their plate. What else are you supposed to do? You know what I mean? Like if you don't have to be out there hustling, I think that. I think that's a beautiful thing. I'm a little traditional. If you paint all the bills, your food, all that stuff. I'm doing all that because that's kind of like what my job is now right now. These fifty to fifty dudes, you can't yahhing like that, like because you're both working and you both should be contributing to the house. But that's the benefits and what we ask for when we want a man to lead and to provide, and then we can be in our soft error and give you those things. I love it, and I think it makes her feel like that's what her value is. And the other girls want to come try to throw some ass at him, some kouchie that's cute, but he knows with her, he gets all that a badass ship. She's beautiful and she loves and it actually really enjoys doing all that stuff. And because he takes care of us so well like that, I guarantee you their sex is still very passionate because she still respects him. So I'm with it. I'm yes, I. 00:29:38 Speaker 1: Love it okay, and also does so I'm able to add to it. She makes her own money too, like she has her own businesses, not my life when out, she has her own businesses, and she is somebody that still wants to take care of her man. That's one of your thoughts on that she hasn't. 00:29:59 Speaker 4: Half to work. She's she works. She isn't like he's not like you better have this mortgage. 00:30:05 Speaker 2: I don't think so, and you know right, yeah, So number one, I think the most important piece here is that this is what Keisha has said that Keisha wants to do. This is not a request nor a requirement from Gucci Maine, nor is it a rule in their household. This is what she expressed that she wants to do, and it makes her happy and fulfilled to do so, and to that, I say kudos number two. We're not gonna sit on this podcast and act like niggas aren't filthy. There's a what's It's a poet, so you listen. You want something done, right, damn it, you do it yourself. She probably don't want to smell his butt. 00:30:40 Speaker 3: There's a guy what's that? What's that podcast? So it's a light. 00:30:43 Speaker 2: Skinned niggah chant ain't. I can't remember his name, but he literally was saying he was saying he don't wash his ass, and he looks like he don't wash his ass. And Keisha probably don't want to deal with none of that ship, so she don't. She ain't seeing no doodos things in no under here. She's lifting up balls, getting back there, making sure everything is clean. So they probably do have a great sex life, and I admire that. So I think Keisha or you got it, figure it out, and it looked like it's working for her, So there you have it. 00:31:15 Speaker 5: I don't know that's it. If talking about Claudia, we all aware. 00:31:21 Speaker 1: He talked about chatting Crowder and the podcast is called The Pivot. 00:31:25 Speaker 3: Yeah you can be a pivot. 00:31:27 Speaker 2: What you mean you got your grown self on that podcast Mike and said, you're don't wash your ass. I was so disgusted by that, and Keisha probably was too, and she said, not in my house. She got that rag and got up in there. Okay, so that I ain't mad at her. Go ahead, Keisha. 00:31:46 Speaker 4: Henny has entered the chat. 00:31:51 Speaker 1: So Marie as the only married person on this chat, I would love to get your thought on what Keisha Kior said. She said just to refresh her memory mares that Listen, She's a working woman. 00:32:07 Speaker 5: She makes her own money. She earns the bacon too. 00:32:10 Speaker 1: However, she did say she would be miserable if she wasn't able to cater and take care of her husband because she loves to do it. She said, she only wants him to worry about getting in the shower and she takes care of the rest as. 00:32:26 Speaker 5: A married man. 00:32:27 Speaker 1: Is that something that you know all married men want at the end of the day. 00:32:32 Speaker 8: I think all married men want to partner, you know, and how that you know comes about and how that looks different for each person. However, the Bible does talk about a Proverbs thirty one woman, and seems like that's what she's doing. She can make the bread, she can go and get her own, and she takes care of them. So I think Gucci got and if you look at Gucci, Gucci now looks different than Gucci did forward. 00:32:58 Speaker 6: He's a whole. 00:32:58 Speaker 8: Different dude right now. And I think that you know that connection and that trust in the fact that he has the right partner on his team, you know what, that can make you look different too. 00:33:10 Speaker 1: Yeah, and Claudia, I would love to get your thoughts with before I do for the rain drops for Dustin as well. I would like for you guys to know that the Proverbs thirty one woman is described in a poetic depiction as a virtuous woman, not a literal historical figure. She is presented as an ideal embodying qualities like diligence, wisdom, generosity, and devotion to God, particularly within the context of her home and her community. Claudia, Oh, is there the question are you are you a Props thirty one woman? 00:33:55 Speaker 4: Yeah? Sure, then. 00:34:02 Speaker 8: I don't really read the Bible. 00:34:03 Speaker 4: I lived my life as a good person, Okay. I feel like when I lived in Atlanta, there was a lot of people I could quote the Bible and they were so trifling. They were saying all the things. They had a great memory to quote versus in the Bible. But they were some of the biggest whores, skanks, liars, DL double life line to everyone in their circle, credit cards, scams, epp all, God and shit. So I don't do any of that stuff, but I know I treat people right and I do believe in somewhat traditional roles. I don't think you should be a demand from a guy like this woman caveman shit. I think the way they have to set up is he provided that, you know, financially, and then she liked to step into that feminine role. And then she's also like, you know what, I still have time. Let me go flourish my business, be a billionaire over here on my own, and they think I would be. It works some and like like Murray said, Gucci lost that fat stomach he had that was like that the body that he had before. It looks like a cortisol body, like when you hold stress eating poorly. It looks like the woman once he got her, look the woman in his life got him like slim down. He looks like he's glowing teeth so much. So remember there was a conspiracy theory going around that Gucci Man was closing. But when you have phone nuts in your life making you like like happy, and you glow and you just look like you can tell when someone's happy, you know what I'm saying. So it's worked for that. But yeah, yeah, I'm all those things in the Bible. I'm all those things. I'm all those things, the fantastic things. 00:35:35 Speaker 5: Well, no, well that's. 00:35:36 Speaker 1: The famous thing. I will say this, And obviously, Maurice, your brother Marcella was on last week and he was trying to give Claudia some advice too. 00:35:46 Speaker 5: But I will say this as well. 00:35:49 Speaker 1: I think it's one of those things whereas this every relationship operates differently for those two people involved, and I think what Keisha and she have is a system that works for them. And I applaud Keisha for being a woman in this day and age, speaking her truth and being proud to be a woman who says I would be miserable if I don't take care of him, and listen, I'm gonna say this and we're gonna be popular, and it's fine. I think there is something nice to be with somebody that desires to be there for you in whatever way they need. 00:36:33 Speaker 5: The needing right, Like. 00:36:35 Speaker 1: She said, Gucci just has to shower and get in the studio and she takes care of the rest. 00:36:40 Speaker 5: But the beauty of that, to me is this. The beauty of that is the fact that. 00:36:44 Speaker 1: It doesn't diminish Keisha's accomplishments and how she is still able to go to work every single day. And Keisha k Or Davis has a mask a billion dollar business. So for me, what I got from that is for women and men that you can't take care of your partner but also take care of yourself and do things that makes you happy. And I think the unhappiness and most marriages is when you spend so much time taking care of one person and you feel depleted and you don't have enough time to take care of yourself. 00:37:22 Speaker 3: So that's what I don't want to be labor this. 00:37:25 Speaker 2: But what I love the most and what I want to make sure we highlight here is the fact that Keisha spoke from her own perspective. Now one time did she say as a woman, I feel like I'm supposed to do this in a relationship, as a wife, I'm supposed. 00:37:40 Speaker 3: To do it was none of that language. 00:37:42 Speaker 2: And we're by no means promoting archaic, out of touch gender roles. In this conversation, what Keisha said was that she liked doing those things, and she wanted to do those things for her man Gucci. It wasn't even really a husband wife conversation. It was much of a this is how I like to show up in this relationship, and I like that. She made sure that it was focused that way because it was encouraging as opposed to oppressing. 00:38:09 Speaker 3: And I like that. 00:38:10 Speaker 4: And if you take the money out of the equation, right, you don't have to have like a Gucci man level of money coming in. She clearly is still in love with her husband, Like, be that something that you can be broken and be in love with your person and just feel safe with them no matter however he makes you feel safe, Like when you're crazy about someone, you want to do those things like you go above and be I know, I do. Like when I'm looking to love someone, I'm like, I want to think about Okay, what else can I do? Say? I made French toes with the cinnamon and the vanilla and it like you like, or I made the pasta that you like, you know, I mean, like whatever it is like when you're still love with someone. You do those things just because you're thinking about them, like what would make them smile? So they're just on a much bigger high level, like the you know, grander scale, I guess you say, But those people they still look good, they're in love. 00:38:55 Speaker 8: You know. I got a question for that, Claudia, because you're a proverb story will women or the like right, do you think that you could do the same thing if the finances or the provisions weren't there, Like if Gucci didn't have those provisions, do you think that she could do the same thing or she would do the same thing. 00:39:14 Speaker 4: I don't know her to say, but I do think that, of course. I think that sometimes the greater like population to women gets a little misrepresented because of social media. We see the worst of the worst a lot of times, people that just focus on bags and material things. But I know a lot of women in my real life that they make more money than their men, and they spoil them men. They love them then because their men provide them something that makes them feel secure and feels good and feel safe in other ways. When I was with kJ and we were together for four years, four years and he's still a best friend to the day. We didn't get married, but like I made weigh more money than him, but that man made me feel so safe and taken care of, like he has my back even to the day, like if I'm out of town, like I might show to my house and he's mowing the lawn. Now, a rich guy wouldn't do that, Like they would just go het thrown and do that. I appreciate that. So it depends like you can make your woman feel safe without enormous amounts of money, you know, by just showing up to her where she feels like you got my back, you know, like and you're listening to me. So yeah, I don't know her, but I think there's a lot of women that the answer will be yes. But we got to stop like believing everything we see on social media and reality show because I don't really think that's so much more. I don't think that's as close to reality as I think. 00:40:29 Speaker 5: You know, yeah, maur babe, you. 00:40:35 Speaker 8: Yes she has, but those were for intimate moments, not people. You know, like Dustin said earlier, to make sure that my my draws are good, right, it's not. 00:40:48 Speaker 4: A hard thing for men to keep like it like. 00:40:51 Speaker 5: That hard for me, it's not hard at all. 00:40:54 Speaker 8: It's not hard, and it shouldn't be hard for boys. 00:40:56 Speaker 3: It shouldn't be hard for nobody. 00:40:59 Speaker 8: That's not a hard thing. 00:41:01 Speaker 4: You learn. 00:41:02 Speaker 8: Really, you turned the brown purch white. 00:41:04 Speaker 4: Yeah, I would think that would know. Oh my god, they're saying that Cage is the cock block. Yes, well he is. I know for a long time he I know he is. Trust me, I know he's a professional cock block. Like, sorry, I'm not going to come, you know, don't worry. He ain't gonna want come for much longer because I'm I'm ready. It's been too long. 00:41:26 Speaker 1: Okay, go there the light, Caroline. So the big is this I do want to get into this season eleven America tians Ville. 00:41:36 Speaker 5: So, Marie, the biggest storyline that we're seeing thus. 00:41:39 Speaker 1: Far has a lot to do with you and your step son Jayleen. 00:41:45 Speaker 5: Okay. 00:41:46 Speaker 1: It has caused a star on social media, it has caused a star in the commentary where your wife's son Jalen, and and you and Kimmy just recently set the is it seven years of marriage? 00:42:02 Speaker 8: We'll be celebrating seven years on the twenty fifth. 00:42:05 Speaker 3: Okay at the university. 00:42:07 Speaker 8: Thank you, thank you, and love a marriage. 00:42:12 Speaker 1: Wow, yes they got they got married season one of the show. 00:42:15 Speaker 4: I mean on TV in the public eye is like fourteen years. 00:42:19 Speaker 5: I think, Oh, he's easy, you know. 00:42:22 Speaker 8: I mean, I think it's easier for us because, you know, we were a little more mature when we got married, so we kind of knew who we were. Now. Mind you having a lot of feedback about your marriage, that can also present some new challenges. But I think that as you know that old saying that you know, reality television breaks up your marriage, I don't believe that. I think it's the individual that are in the marriage. Are you guys, are you guys gonna make it? Or if you guys are not. You know, if there's some cracks, people can find a way, they can find a way in. If you present a crack. 00:42:58 Speaker 1: No, for sure, for sure, for sure. I do want to get into you and Jalen's relationship. 00:43:04 Speaker 5: Jayleen made a comment this. 00:43:06 Speaker 1: Season on the show that he never felt that you were somebody that he looked to as a father figure, that in fact, he looked to your brother Marcel as the father figure. When you first heard that, did that shock you and did that hurt your feelings? 00:43:26 Speaker 8: I'd say that it definitely hurt my feelings. Shocking. I think that the relationship that you have, or a person can have with their uncle was different than they would with their dad, right, And I think that when you don't have as much discipline, like parents have to also discipline as well. 00:43:50 Speaker 3: Right. 00:43:50 Speaker 8: So, first of all, Jalen was a teenager and Kimmy was doing a phenomenal job of raising Jalen and you it's with every relationship because I have two older daughters too, right, so I've been raising children that weren't mine that are still mine and I still claim them and we still have conversations with all that stuff even till today. So the relationship that that most people think, oh, you love differently because they're not yours. No, I've been choosing to love children that I didn't create for for all you know of my marriage and my previous marriage as well. So I think that really the relationship that he had with Marcel, and not just Marsa, he had another relationship with the dark as well, it was different because you know, it's more of a I can share more, I can open up more. There's a little bit of an apprehensiveness that Jalen also had with uh. He grew really close to one of Kimmy's old boyfriends, and then that relationship soured and then they went apart, but Jalen was still close to that guy and he lost that connection. So I think that there's a lot of different moving parts to it, and I really wish that I would have done better, you know, seeing that, because you know, at the end of the day, I look at him like my son. 00:45:10 Speaker 4: Did that make you feel jealous? 00:45:11 Speaker 1: Though? 00:45:12 Speaker 4: Like what you said about your brother like I had. It's hard fitting it jealousy at you know, and like I don't want to say that, you know. 00:45:18 Speaker 6: What I mean. 00:45:19 Speaker 8: Yeah, No, I wouldn't say jealous. I'm just happy that we were able to get that, he was able to get it, Like there's a lot of young men that don't get the father figure, right my my pops. He he was locked up for a little while, and some other men that were in our village had to step up, and we're better off because of it. You know, a lot of a lot of the individuals I grew up with. By the time I was twenty one thirty, one of my friends were dead, yeah, dead, And then we had other ones that went to jail, and you know, some of them got out when I'm in my forties. So the fact that you have someone there that you can that you feel comfortable to share with is meaningful to me. And if I can't give it all, of course, I want someone else around me to be able to get you what you need. 00:46:11 Speaker 2: Mary's what do you have to say to the people who because again you've been clear even tonight you said plainly that you see Jayleen as your son and that you love him. 00:46:19 Speaker 3: You love Jalen. 00:46:20 Speaker 2: Right, there's some viewers who have decided that there's an emotional piece that you don't see when you're in a confrontational conversation with someone that you care about. This is family shit we talking about, so it's deeply personal, you. 00:46:36 Speaker 3: Know what I mean? 00:46:37 Speaker 2: What do you want to say about the emotional component there? Because Jalen was expressing his feelings in that scene, right, He felt like you did not love him fully and totally as your son, and he felt like you parented your son monster differently than him, and you cited examples of things that you had done for him. You brought up you know, material things and and other things to try to sort of illustrate right that you do make an effort and you are you do feel that way about him, but we didn't see you necessarily speak to the emotional piece. What do you have to say about how Jalen feels and what do you want him to know about how you feel about him? 00:47:16 Speaker 8: Okay, there's two parts to that dustin. First part is and some of this is gonna come out in the new season. Okay, I looked at life completely different than most people did, right. I completely eliminated a lot of the emotional aspect to life. Right, most of my life has been just is this logical? Does this make sense? If it doesn't make sense, then I don't kind of understand how it works and how you think like that. Like for me, one of the greatest things I even told Carlos when we first got on the show is man the comment section, like some of this stuff is like I can't believe y'all think like this. Some of its comedy, some of it's like where the hell did y'all get this stuff from? You know, one sentence leads to a whole. You can write a book off of just one sentences, right, So it's it's it's it's amazing to see all of these different aspects. But some of that stuff comes from an emotional standpoint and an emotional place where that individual is from. So when Jalen said that he didn't feel like monster, I'm looking at him like monster, only you're older, right, So I treat I treat Monster differently as he gets older than he does when he's younger. You know what I mean? And part of it is I grew up in a big family, right, And the older siblings they have more responsibilities because the younger siblings naturally looked up to them more struggle than the parents. They have more influence over their younger siblings than the parents. So it's like, if I can get you on my side, then you know it may easier for the younger guy. 00:49:02 Speaker 2: So what do you have to say, Marie about how Jalen feels about the emotion Because I get trust me, I get what your I get the influence on taking and removing that from the way that you view the world. But we saw a scene where your son, Jalen was saying to you, Hey, I don't feel like you love me as much as my brother, who is your biological son. 00:49:22 Speaker 3: What do you want. 00:49:23 Speaker 2: Jalen to know without having to explain why you arrived at those feelings are what your makeup is per se, but just strictly focusing on the emotional piece. What is there anything that you want to say about that scene or about how you feel about Jalen or what you want to what you want him to know about how you feel about him? 00:49:41 Speaker 8: Yeah, I absolutely or Jalen just like you. If I would have made him and I would have had the pleasure of raising him from a boy all the way into a man, I love him just like that. And I dropped the ball like there's a there's a significant there's a significant piece to this puzzle missing, and that is mental health, right, the whole idea of living until I'm in my I'm in my late forties, going through the world, navigating without the whole emotional aspect. That's like, that's that's the motivation oftentimes of why people do what they do. And I'm divorced from that, not really you know, not really understanding the feeling aspect of it. So I'm looking at the situation like I'm here right but going through therapy. This is this is just something I just want to put out there in the atmosphere. 00:50:38 Speaker 3: We need to have. 00:50:40 Speaker 8: We need to have emotional and intellectual conversations as black men, and to widely accept mental health like we do physical health. 00:50:52 Speaker 3: Absolutely, I agree. 00:50:57 Speaker 8: It should be really available, like they should have mental gen just like they have, you know. 00:51:02 Speaker 5: Physical jibs. It's called the strip clod. 00:51:05 Speaker 8: No, it's called doesn't it's called black. 00:51:15 Speaker 1: Marie. 00:51:16 Speaker 4: Do you think because it sounds to me like you're very logical and like I'm looking at the comments in this and he doesn't emot he doesn't show emotion. And listen, everyone doesn't. Everyone's not mushy like I don't show up for people like that. It's very hard for some people, depending on how you're raised. Like me and my mom, we've never said I love you, but we do things in our actions. You ever said your mom does loving like you are to your goudy of mind, she is because she does this, she does that, she does this right. Do you feel that maybe you're being misunderstood or do you show an emotion or do you do you see them with the comments that have you heard that before? 00:51:49 Speaker 8: They're actually calling it like it is I'm learning emotion. I'm actually learning this. This is something that's new to me. 00:51:55 Speaker 4: Learning emotions. 00:51:56 Speaker 8: Absolutely, this is a whole different world. I don't as a matter of fact, I don't know any black men that's in my circle that just sits around and talks about how they feel. 00:52:06 Speaker 4: Are you like that with your wife as well? Or is it just an other like is it hard for you with her as well, because that can be something that's across the border. Or is it just like with with children? 00:52:15 Speaker 8: It is in general? Like in general, like me and my wife, we've been going to therapy and it's been eye open, like legitimately eye opening. I look at the world now with color, and it used to be black and white, you know all you know, no shades of grade. It's like writing lane like at the end of the day. Even in it was hard for me in law school, like I had to actually make it logical, like so for example, I'll give you a perfect example of this. A five to four decision means that one person makes the law to land right. So going into law school, everything had to have a right answer. It's either right, room and until I got to that point, like these are the greatest minds in law, how do you come up with a five four decision. That's because there's shades of great. 00:53:11 Speaker 2: Do you see what I'm saying, Listen, I have a lot of respect for anybody that's brave enough to admit that they're and be open to learning and understanding systems better to improve the relationships in their life. So I have a lot of respect for you admitting that you know, understanding and acknowledging feelings and emotion is something new that you are willing to do. Obviously is critically important because your son just told you that he had a challenge with emotions when it came to connecting, and I know it's important for you to connect to Jayleen. 00:53:39 Speaker 3: You've said it plainly tonight alone. 00:53:41 Speaker 2: So I just applaud you for being open to that, and I wish you and Kenmya and Jalen the best with that work in therapy. I think that's wonderful and you're incredibly self aware to even admit that, So I respect that. 00:53:53 Speaker 3: Marius, Thank you, classy. 00:53:54 Speaker 4: One thing, seeing how this emotion piece has been a struggle few and I'm glad you and that people are very appreciative of that. Like while we've never heard you say this and opening up a lot of people don't say that. Have you been accused of being a narcissist, because that's what some people will say. They'll be like, oh, they're a narcissist. They don't feel anything, they're always right. Has that ever been thrown your way? That label? 00:54:15 Speaker 3: Man? 00:54:15 Speaker 8: People say whatever, Like I listened to professionals. So like, at the end of the day, when I sit down with a professional and these people have actually went to school, they've actually got you know, real training behind this, then they are the ones that I actually think should diagnose because your friends, they kind of have their perspective, they want the best for you, but that doesn't mean that they're professionally trained for this, you know. So yeah, and in general, I try not to be wrong, Like I don't know anybody it was to go in wrong. 00:54:49 Speaker 3: You know. 00:54:49 Speaker 8: And what's important to me about this even more so, is I don't want Jalen to have the same relationship with his children because the truth is based on the statistics, he may wind up marrying someone that already has a kid. So how do you connect, how do you how do you work your way through that blended family? 00:55:12 Speaker 1: You know, I do want to I do want to talk to you a little bit about this too, because when you were talking to your brother in the scene in last week's episode that's also finished off in the beginning of this past Saturday's episode where your you, you and Marcel are a part of is it nine siblings or eight? 00:55:35 Speaker 5: Hey, so it's it's a kids total. 00:55:39 Speaker 1: Marcel said that growing up you were considered the golden child, and that the reason why the audience and and the world and the people around you feel like you're so hard on your son Monster is because you want him to be the golden child. Help and that Jalen feels like his stepbrother is a golden child just like you are his father. What was going on as you being a part of the construct of having southern siblings where your brother Marcel even said, like, of all the kids, you were the golden child, Like what made you the govern child of all of them? 00:56:21 Speaker 8: I really don't know. I tried my best not to do stuff wrong. I tried to do things right, but you know I got my fair share of trouble, and one of the number one things was because I was stubborn. You know that my personality fits my profession to a t Like I'm stubborn I'll do what it takes to work hard. I'm an advocate all of those things. I've always had. Like matter of fact, one time, man, my family jumped me. They jumped me because my mom was Marcell had gotten out the line, and I felt like Marcell had had enough, right and uh, I was like, well, why don't he just ent her back? And they were like, wait, what hit your mom back? I learned that lesson very very very clearly. You kind of need to stay in a child's place. 00:57:16 Speaker 3: Please talk about. 00:57:20 Speaker 8: My siblings helped me figure that out. 00:57:24 Speaker 2: Please don't bring us a crowd hitting their mama on this podcast. 00:57:28 Speaker 1: We're just now getting over that, all right. But wait, they jumped you because you said you were going to do that. 00:57:41 Speaker 8: I said that Marshall should hit my mom back, and my older sister, now, mind you. I grew up in a blended family, so the step we never called anybody in our house step siblings like that. That never that didn't need That concept doesn't even exist in my world, right. My older sister said, you do what he should do? 00:58:02 Speaker 3: What? 00:58:03 Speaker 4: Oh? 00:58:03 Speaker 8: And it was on like my mom actually, now mind you. My mom stopped to address me after I got mine from my mom. Then the siblings all jumped in and took care of it. And you know what, I never had to learn that again. 00:58:19 Speaker 5: So so your mom, your mom whooped you. 00:58:21 Speaker 1: And then then. 00:58:23 Speaker 3: At a job Oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. 00:58:26 Speaker 4: Are you crazy? 00:58:28 Speaker 6: I was a little bit that day. 00:58:30 Speaker 4: Okay, I'll call you crazy and a little little blue. 00:58:36 Speaker 8: Hey, Claudia, I need to see I need to see the words behind your name in order for you to you know, diagnose me. 00:58:45 Speaker 4: Well, I as someone who's fifty one, eighty forty years, thirty years, I'm saying you and you never answered my question. What has anyone ever accused you of being that? Whether or not letters behind the name, it is not the issue. 00:59:02 Speaker 8: The check the check and and social media they do it all the time, like a narcissist. 00:59:07 Speaker 4: By the way, for your wife, but people like your wife or your brother. 00:59:12 Speaker 8: No, none of no. But once we learned the term as like a culture, we'll use it. 00:59:20 Speaker 4: I know, I know, but you didn't answer me until just now. But okay, thank you. 00:59:26 Speaker 3: Hobout I said it the first time. 00:59:27 Speaker 1: Oh you give a. 00:59:28 Speaker 4: Whole We went around the lock and down the street impact and that's why me and Dustin took a shot low key. I said, Okay, you went back on. 00:59:38 Speaker 3: The brown back on the brown Man. We're back on the brown Man because I'm over here swinging for you, Marise. 00:59:46 Speaker 2: I'm trying to help you, brother. I think, Carlos, let's have a real conversation. Rights. We have watched you on this show for so many years. Right, it's a lot of people that are rooting for you. We all remember the conversation that were very controversial that you bravely showed between you and Kimmy when she was going through her diagnosis and her treatment and her sex drive had been affected. And y'all had a very honest conversation about that on camera, and you experienced people misunderstanding your intentions and painting you as a person who didn't give a damn about a fam of familial connection or caring how a person was made to feel. 01:00:25 Speaker 3: Right, So now. 01:00:26 Speaker 2: Here we are again, where we're in an opportunity. You have an opportunity to show people how you care about these people in your life, and it is again, deeply personal. So ain't nobody trying to step on your toes or disrespect these real issues that you all are sharing. But we want to see you say we don't want to see you say anything. Are surrounding what you need to say. You want to just hear you say, Yo, I care about you. I care about you, Jaalen. You are my son. I love you, and I'm sorry that I made you feel that way. I never wanted to do that. That's all people want to hear you say. And when you offer up these very honest and very brave because you're sharing all this real personal stuff, right, so we respect it, but it's not helping to get people to understand that you actually do care. You actually are concerned with Jalen's feelings toward you, you know what I mean, more so than being defensive or trying to change his mind about it, because he shared with you a feeling, right, So you can't cite experiences to try to change the perspective. You could just reassure. And I think people just really want to see you be reassuring in that way and it'll make them feel a little bit more understanding of like where you're coming from, because I feel like you explained it beautifully and you were honest tonight, right, But there's just that missing piece where you kind of like hit the bull's eye and say like, this is what I want you to know for sure, now why I feel like this or what happened or what else could be, how it could be different. This is how I feel and I want you to know. I think that's what people want to see. And this is a great opportunity for you to you know what I'm saying. You have you have shared that tonight, like Yo, I love Jalen. He is my son, and that's what I want him to know. I think people just want to see you do that. 01:02:10 Speaker 3: Man. You're a black lawyer. 01:02:12 Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, business owner like real estate mogul, got a beautiful black, blended family that people need to see. It's a lot of people rooting for you that want to see you or be successful and have thriving relationships, and they just really want to see you show up in that way. 01:02:27 Speaker 3: I think that it's really that simple, bro. 01:02:29 Speaker 8: You know what, Dustin, I'll tell you. I take that, you know wholeheartedly. Ultimately I'm crossing that bridge. Yeah, I'm coming from a place to where I know that there's the feeling side of life and I'm trying to get there. You can say it so much better than I do, because you've already been experiencing that for so long, right, and I'm trying to get there. I'm also saying, Okay, that's not what I meant that. I'm trying to tell you why I said this, and that's that's meaningless. Really know that, Hey, I got it. As a dad, I got it. You know what, son? I love you. I should have never dropped the ball. I should have been better. That's I can't from here forward. 01:03:17 Speaker 3: That's it, right there, bro, that's it man, m h. 01:03:20 Speaker 4: I think that's like the best thing that you said tonight. With with what you're saying, and I understand a person that feels I'm constantly being misunderstood. So you want to train your stance. No, I didn't mean like that. No, I didn't mean to make it. 01:03:31 Speaker 5: No, I didn't do that. 01:03:33 Speaker 4: And then I get that, and then the balance of do you want to be right or do you want to be happy? And sometimes that's the adults or the older person we have to like sometimes suck it up sometimes and understand that everyone's not going to understand how we think and we process things. And that sucks, right because especially you're doing in front of an audience and you have all these people trying to I say, skilled with the comma, the saying right. It's between how your son and your wife feel that's right, they're lacking. It's about how they feel school. We say we gonna do commentary regardless, and so the comments right. But like, and I think you are going in the right direction because you did say tonight, which I've never heard someone say I was black and white before, and now I think, mm hmm, that is a major first step. And if you just leaning keep leaning to that light, that's major. It's so hard for people to change. It's so easy for us to sit back and say, well, why can't you just do it the way I would do it. Right, the fact that you are going in that direction and just lean more towards that, and I think you'll be fine. Like acknowledging it is the hardest part, and like seeing it from someone else's perspective is so hard. But it sounds like the night you're saying you have. 01:04:36 Speaker 8: And I want to be better. I don't want to be you know, the more East is right and lose his family and lose his children and all the rest of this stuff. Because this principle that I think that works right, should have worked or whatever. It doesn't matter. If your kids don't love you, right, you could give them the world and then I don't even like you. Yeah, So the thing is, do you have the connection with your children? This is my lineage, right, What am I doing all this stuff for if they're not the ones that that connect with me and see, you know, all the best that I want for them in the world. That's yeah. Outside of that, man, you know, just to keep the same perspective that I've had. There's no growth far. 01:05:20 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no. 01:05:21 Speaker 6: That's good. 01:05:21 Speaker 1: And listen, I'm happy we're able to really listen to Claudia and DestinE about that too, because I think they helped you sort of like drive home your point. One thing I did want to ask you to is you know and that scene between you and your brother, it ended with you calling your brother Marcell a liar and pretty much saying that he lies all the time. What did you mean by that? Because the world had a reaction to it, and your brother Marcel said that did piss them off. 01:05:50 Speaker 8: I did that to pis Mars off because I knew that there was because he was trying to intentionally piss me off. And the thing is, Marsa siblings know what you can say and how to say it to piss you off. It's one thing you know to say, Hey, Maurice, you know what, Let's sit down and have a conversation with Jalen or whatever. And then Marcell brings up, hey, but you're the golden child and this I'm like, man, come on, that's the stuff that you used to say when we were kids. You don't have to bring that up to try to make this point. At the end of the day, the most important thing is how does Jalen feel? 01:06:27 Speaker 3: Right? 01:06:28 Speaker 8: Let me correct that, let me see where he's coming from. Let me deal with that situation. But and Marcel, like Carlos, you know anybody, and especially you Dustin because you're a comedian too, right. Y'all know how to pour sauce on some stuff. Y'all know how to go ahead and add a little bit air to it. Marcel adds flair whether it's for a reaction or whether it's to make a joke. But he knows what gets people going. That's the thing about comedians. They know how people think, so they know how to get a reaction out of people. 01:07:01 Speaker 4: Did you think he brought up the golden child thing because it's a relatable like position. He feels like, well, I feel kind of like how Jalen feels seeing a fellow golden child. Do you think he meant it? I thought maybe he was doing that and not Jabba. Did you feel like he was javingue? 01:07:14 Speaker 8: I think Marshall was jabbing me. And I also think that Marshall knows what's commuter reaction m hm. 01:07:20 Speaker 1: And indeed, what we did see in the premiere episode, am I happy feedback? 01:07:29 Speaker 3: Yeah? You sound fine to me. Okay, okay, all right, I'll keep it going. 01:07:39 Speaker 1: So one of the things that occurred in the premier episode was the top of conversation with. 01:07:48 Speaker 5: Martell doing an interview. 01:07:52 Speaker 1: That he felt was a response to what Tsha said about him on Actually. 01:07:58 Speaker 5: A Mother Night Live. 01:08:00 Speaker 8: And we're going. 01:08:02 Speaker 1: To see what happens in that conversation in two weeks when Maurice sits down with Martel to talk to him about that interview. What I do want to ask you before we see that episode in two weeks, I do want to ask you, how did you feel knowing that somebody who you considered a friend did an interview in response to what Tisha was saying, but that your name was brought up in that interview with you being accused of doing things per. 01:08:40 Speaker 8: The interview, Yeah, I didn't. First of all, I didn't like it, right, I don't. I don't like the mess like I think they had a little light shade. I understand the back and forth, but we don't have to go scorch earth. I think we should be above that, right, There's no need for us to dress up in suits and talk about business and as you tay it and then you know, do dumb ship like that. So yeah, I think that that was offensive. But you know, I also understand that you know, Martell has been battling with his back to the wall for seven years, six years, seven years, right, and we've actually seen the demise of his whole family in front of the world. Like at the end of the day, I don't know. I don't know any person that was on reality television that was hated more than Martell, Like it was right, you're laughing, right. 01:09:39 Speaker 4: But he's very nasty. 01:09:42 Speaker 8: Right after a little while, you probably need to feel like, you know what, man, it's mere versus everybody. And if I think that you may do something, I'm going to do it pre emptively. That's where Martell has been and I want, I've been wanted him to get out of that because there's a completely different side of Martel that the world hasn't seen. There's a reason why he was well liked by people. That's the side that people that haven't seen yet, and that's the side that I really liked for him the show. 01:10:18 Speaker 3: It's probably too late now. 01:10:21 Speaker 8: I mean, he's been he's they put him in a space, but you. 01:10:25 Speaker 2: Know, he put itself in that space to be honest, because we watched him make and not judging him for making a mistake, because everyone makes mistakes. But the problem is that we watched Martel time after time not take any accountability, place the name on everybody else, you know what I'm saying, and those things just compile a profile that does not reflect someone giving a damn enough to even know if you're fund and got a good, you know, fun loving side and connect your side. 01:10:52 Speaker 3: And unfortunately it's just been so much at this point. 01:10:54 Speaker 2: Bro, Like, we watched him in this week's episode have a conversation and go all over the place to a dialogue concern in the demise of his marriage, not one time, but lightly alluding to you know what, I did do this and it wasn't hurt it was me. 01:11:08 Speaker 3: Just still no. 01:11:09 Speaker 2: Accountability, no clear understanding. You just want to shake your fucking TV when he starts talking about stuff because you can't believe that he's ignoring this real, blatant thing that has influenced everything else falling apart. 01:11:21 Speaker 3: So it's just, you know, he. 01:11:24 Speaker 4: Seems like he would be a nightmare to deal with. Like I got to push your button, deflect, get people look over here and say the things Maurice's I want to give you a positive comment for you, Rodney made in nine real or six as after the interview. I have a greater understanding and empathy for Maurice, give him grace and let him grow. 01:11:40 Speaker 3: So that's right. 01:11:41 Speaker 4: I feel like you should share the positive comments with folks. 01:11:44 Speaker 5: So yeah, yeah, no, that's why. 01:11:47 Speaker 1: No. You if listen, we thank you for coming onto this show because you know it's live and invested. You know, ask tough questions too, so it's nice for you guys to get that experience. One thing I do want to talk about that we saw this episode was Chris Fletcher. Chris Fletcher made a comment that you and your brother do have women sign in das he repeated that to in the Huntspell sais his wife, Tsha and your wife. Kimmy confronts miss Nell about it, and then Tisha and her him and see that she got from Justin's bar started to check everybody about it in this past week's episode. 01:12:39 Speaker 5: But I do want to ask you this, when you saw that Chris Fletcher. 01:12:42 Speaker 1: Said that you, Maurice, you have women sign n DA's as well, what does where did he get that from? Because you know when people when people here Martell say something, everyone tries to say, well take that from the grain of salt. So with Chris Fletcher that people do see as sort of like the godfather of Huntsville. A lot of people don't see Chris Fletcher to be a liar. Why would he say something like that? 01:13:11 Speaker 8: I have no idea? And that's kind of why I really felt like I had some smoke for Chris, because it's like, bro, where is this stuff coming from? And then this is the unfair part, right, The unfair part is I'd rather you make a criticism about me personally that my wife doesn't have to defend it. Doesn't impact my wife. Right, if you're gonna if you have something that you have negative to say about me or whatever, I can handle, you know, extreme levels of criticism, right. But at the end of the day, it's it's like, man, where did this come from? I don't even we never really hung out really like that, so I don't even know where you're where you're getting this information from so much so to put it out there like this is something that I do. 01:14:00 Speaker 2: And then he lied about it when y'all asked him about it. When Marceau asked him about it, he straight up live, well, no, no, no, I no, I ain't say that, but he. 01:14:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, the record, right, and for the record, he said, it sounds like something y'all would do. 01:14:13 Speaker 8: Right, But even even if if where would you get that from? Like if if it sounds like something that I would do, where would you get it from? Like when Basis on. 01:14:24 Speaker 4: That Martel, do you think Martel said that seems like he's a little bit of a hater with you guys at times. So you know, he seems like he's the messiest one on there that likes to gossip and ship and run his mouth. I'm just saying there's. 01:14:37 Speaker 8: A fair of sure gossip from all of the men. 01:14:41 Speaker 4: Technique I'm out to call in. I want from it. Bring him on, I don't care. 01:14:47 Speaker 1: No, but. 01:14:50 Speaker 4: Are saying they're they're throwing his name out there, and you know some of the Matthew thinks. Martel calls your wife a side chicken, calls you a cheap damn and y'all so cool. He's saying, only thing it's about y'all. 01:15:01 Speaker 8: This is the thing, Martell. This you could tell Martel is about to lie. Normally he'll just like clear his throat before it does it, Like there are certain mannerisms that you can't get away from that people tend to do. Like some people scratch their neck, other people clear their throat, other people, you know, look away. 01:15:19 Speaker 4: Yeah, but what does he do before he lies? 01:15:22 Speaker 8: Typically clears his throat. 01:15:24 Speaker 2: But mind you, my mind is racing back to I'm thinking about maruh Martella and his confessionals shrugging his shoulders and clearing his so you know, I can see it. 01:15:49 Speaker 4: Alic, what do you think about this? I know you like Martel. I like everybody, don't Martell? 01:15:56 Speaker 1: I like everybody. 01:15:58 Speaker 4: I think he's the poor shot. No, ye oh, police. 01:16:03 Speaker 1: No, I will say this. Listen, it's funny, which is why that's a good question. You asked funny about how you can tell I. 01:16:13 Speaker 4: Think you like take another realities. 01:16:15 Speaker 6: I think. 01:16:17 Speaker 1: They're all great. No, the thing is this, what's funny is I never. 01:16:23 Speaker 5: I'm like Dustin. 01:16:24 Speaker 9: I never even I don't know, I've never took clear his throat. But that but again, I don't. I'm not in the hotspale. But that's why I'm. 01:16:36 Speaker 1: I'm laughing because I'm like Dustin. I'm trying to like rewind and roll the tape of of those things. But I don't. I don't have a moment to say, watch this, this is what is going on. That's hilarious, Maurice, that's funny. 01:16:54 Speaker 8: I couldn't be wrong. 01:16:57 Speaker 4: We need one of the rain Drops to put a compilation video together. 01:17:01 Speaker 3: Yeah, something, we need a Martell clearing his throat, scuper cat. 01:17:08 Speaker 1: That's what I want. 01:17:10 Speaker 5: I want to ask the ray Drops. 01:17:11 Speaker 1: So, ray Drops, does Martell clear his throat before he starts to say anything? Let me know, ray Jobs, because again. 01:17:20 Speaker 2: They must be where he lies. That's what that's what we're looking for. Lies that man. 01:17:30 Speaker 4: In the words of Colors king. 01:17:32 Speaker 1: I love all. 01:17:36 Speaker 5: Y'all are shady tonight. I love it, thought, I love it. 01:17:40 Speaker 4: We need another drink on this one. 01:17:41 Speaker 3: Come home, get that green drinking. 01:17:50 Speaker 4: Get you something here, your clear. 01:17:54 Speaker 3: Claudia. 01:17:59 Speaker 1: Okay, wait the Copps, I said, he surely does he does. Wait wait, Missus, Jones says, wipes his nose. 01:18:07 Speaker 5: And mouth, you are hilarious. 01:18:11 Speaker 2: He looked down to he always started looking down at his right shoe and left. 01:18:14 Speaker 3: Just look down every time. I can see it, Mari. 01:18:19 Speaker 4: When he gets a little smirk like that little what a lot of men do they smirk they when they they know they're about to try to. 01:18:29 Speaker 8: Be an Easter hunt. 01:18:34 Speaker 5: Miss said, can't forget thinks of that nature? 01:18:37 Speaker 3: Oh where is that to down to the ground. He's always saying that. 01:18:42 Speaker 4: You know, I think, damn Martell d'afaniel's tell. 01:18:48 Speaker 3: To take that to the reunion this year. 01:18:50 Speaker 2: You gotta let me clear my throat to this year. 01:18:57 Speaker 4: Let me clear mindself. 01:18:59 Speaker 3: That's right. 01:19:03 Speaker 1: Music are hilarious. Okay, So Maurice, thank you for stepping it to mother. And I like what I will say is this you guys this season will see I think I told din I tell you this. I may have told this Kimmy. I told Kimmy because we did pressed a few weeks ago. There's the theme between Kimmy and Maurice that happens this season that. 01:19:32 Speaker 5: Shook me to my core. 01:19:37 Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, Love Plant, Season one, episode seven. So look, there's the theme between Jimmy and Maurice where they talk about their marriage. And this is post. I don't want to get too much away, so just watch it. But what I will say it is, in my opinion, the most dynamic scene between a married couple where they talk about issues that leaves your mouth on the floor like it's oh, it is shocked. It's shocking. Do you know what I'm talking about, Maice? I think so okay, yes, yes, yes, yes it was. 01:20:32 Speaker 8: It was. 01:20:33 Speaker 1: It was shocking. 01:20:34 Speaker 4: But are we gonna be mad? 01:20:37 Speaker 6: I hope not. I'm growing. People give a measure of greatness. It's listen. 01:20:52 Speaker 1: I will say that, Yes, all was progress. 01:20:55 Speaker 4: We don't made tonight, missus Scott here, we don't think tonight. 01:20:59 Speaker 1: You are he already felt. 01:21:01 Speaker 5: It is already filmed, is it the cab? 01:21:03 Speaker 1: I watched that scene. I was on a flight. I watched that scene three times cause I was and I called my producers when I land and I said, wait a minute, y'all to tell me it happened like that, like it's a real The beauty of this show is these couples have real conversations to each other like like like, like Marie said early, listen, all the men on the shows gossap.
