00:00:00 Speaker 1: Hella La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La La la La. Motherfucking can't welcome back to the Give Them La La Podcast? Did you like what you deserved? Jeff? That was so beautiful? A little nasally, but it's okay, I'm gonna do what every girl who can't sing says when they have to perform, I'm sick. It's like, no, bitch, you can't sing? What are you just always sick? 00:00:32 Speaker 2: Okay, you're annoying because you can sing. And when someone like you says every girl who can't sing, and then people like me who really fucking can't sing, it's like, hold on a time. 00:00:43 Speaker 1: I don't know that I can sing. I can carry a tune. 00:00:46 Speaker 2: I think, no, you can sing, But what did you sing before? Even when you're joking, you can just tell because I lived in Nashville and I lived with five girl roommates who some can sing and some couldn't, And you can tell even when they're joking. You're like, oh, you have a good voice under there. 00:01:00 Speaker 1: Yes, that is so nice. Just keep feeding my ego please. By the way, I've been locked up. This is the first time I've come out of the house since Thursday. Mm hmm, keep in mind today's Monday. So Ocean. I put her down Wednesday night, put her down to go to sleep. I get in the bed, I'm watching TV. I hear her upset, and I always say, like a lot of people ask did you sleep train Ocean, and I did, because I feel like, you know their cries when you have a baby, You're like, I know that crime means they're hungry. I know that crime means something is wrong. I know that they've woken up and they need to self soothe. This cry on Wednesday night was like something's wrong. So I go in and she is gasping for air, like she cannot breathe, and every time she lets out. Here's the thing. I didn't know she was okay, but it was a good sign for me that she was screw because if she weren't screaming and she really couldn't breathe, I don't know that that would have been possible. I'm no fucking doctor, but that put my mind to ease a little bit. So I was keeping an eye on her what seemed like an hour, which was really maybe five minutes, before I decided we're going to the emergency room like something's off. Because I was watching her. I tried to lay down. I was steaming up the shower while it was steaming. I put her on my chest, laid in the bed, and just the way she was sounding, you could tell she was having trouble breathing. Now I'm not fucking around. We're getting in the car. We're going to Cedars. So I'm checking in and she lets out this cry and then a cough, and this nurse overhears her and says, how long has that baby been doing that? I said, I don't know, because I just got her back. I share custody right now. I got her at seven, put her down. This is what I have now. And you know, she was okay when I picked her up. She seemed a little lethargic. But I just figured, you know, maybe she had a long night, maybe shouldn't sleep well the night before. Her nose was runny. But I was told that my baby was doing great when she was at the other house. Yeah, they push her into a room immediately, which, by the way, the er is filled to the brim right now, and I think that they look at each patient and go, how serious is this? They obviously thought Ocean is a child, it needs to be seen immediately. She ended up having croup, which when they're infants is very, very scary. Luckily, Ocean's lungs are developed, so it is something that if you catch it quickly, is very treatable. They gave her a steroid to relief relief release the airway because it's where they get swollen and they have a hard time breathing, and she was having an attack at this point, so what she needed was steam or cool air. But I'm telling you, Jess, they take me back and before you know, they get her into a room and the nurse is checking her out doing the temperature. I'm standing on because she didn't want to go with the nurse to weigh her, so I get on the scale and get off, and I like, even talking about it now, it was like, oh my god, this is so scary. Yeah. Yeah, Like I asked the nurse and is my baby gonna wake up tomorrow? Yeah? I'm freaking out. And she was so sweet. She took me into this side room with Ocean. She was like, your baby's fine. If I didn't think your baby would wake up tomorrow, do you think that I would be moving this way right now. That's true, everything is gonna be fine. But I was like in hysterics, which obviously was not helping the situation. I'm a new mom. I don't know what the fuck is going on. All I know is like my baby woke up and was having a hard time breathing. I'm so sorry. 00:04:51 Speaker 2: No, this is that is probably one of the most, if not the most terrifying, terrifying things to happen to as your child is sick, and especially with breathing. That's I mean, I'm not even a parent, and it makes my stomach sick. I have a couple questions. One was Gigi with you. 00:05:12 Speaker 1: Thank God, my mom. She was gonna she was going to change her flight to come back the next day. Yeah, because she wanted to stay in Utah longer. And she was like, you know what, I just feel I just want to I'm just gonna come back. I miss you, I miss Ocean. Thank God she was there because you know, she rode in the back with Ocean so she could watch her and keep an eye on her. Like granted, I have that mirror, but I just like having another person when I pulled up to the er, like she dealt with the car. I went inside, think, God, my mom was there. That's to keep me calm as well, because I was losing my fucking mind. 00:05:46 Speaker 2: Of course, No, that's incredible, I say. You had texted me. I think it was at like one am, and you were texting me about the next day because we had an appointment for the next day that you had asked me to cancel. But I put my phone on do not disturb, which I guess probably isn't the smartest thing as an assistant. But at night, I love my family, but they live in New York and at three am, it's six am there and they'll text and call me, and I just like it wakes me up, right. So I woke up that morning to a text and you said, can we cancel this appointment? I'm in the er with Ocean, And of course my heart dropped, and you said, so I didn't freak out. You said, you know, she is a cough or something. But my first thought was like, oh my god, Oh my god. I hope Gig flew home. 00:06:32 Speaker 1: Yeah, Gg flew home. She did, And no, you should keep here. The only reason I texted you so late was because I know you're an early riser, like, let's cancel this, yeah, second you wake up, cancel it so that we're not leaving them hanging. 00:06:47 Speaker 2: No only reason, no, I know, but also like I would I mean, if it were me, I would text I just I'm just so glad Gigu is there. And my next question because I don't really know. So you told me she had croup and to me, I hear that and I'm like, what is that? Because I know it's some sort. 00:07:03 Speaker 1: Of cough, but me, let me look up exactly what it is. 00:07:09 Speaker 2: Yeah, just for the not parents who might not know what it is, because I hear it, and I'm like, in some cases it can be really dangerous and in others it's really light. 00:07:17 Speaker 1: Right, So it's like it's an upper airway infection that blocks breathing and has a distinctive barking cough. So that is literally And when the doctor came in, he said, I've had two babies that literally just left with this, and the baby next door has it right now as well. So croup and RSV are going around. Okay, just like be careful, Yeah, wash your hands, if you're feeling sick again, stay home the next morning or I guess that morning, I woke up feeling like I had swallowed needles. Right, And we still get COVID tested for vander Pump, I know, And literally anytime I go to do someone else's podcast, it's like I feel like being COVID tested twenty seven times a week. Yeah, so I knew it wasn't COVID, but I was like, I'm gonna test again just to make sure it's not COVID. 00:08:07 Speaker 2: But we were. 00:08:08 Speaker 1: The whole house was like down for the count Ocean. After the steroid they gave her. 00:08:13 Speaker 2: She was good, she was on a roll. 00:08:15 Speaker 1: I was like, well, this kid, I actually felt bad because I couldn't explain to her why we weren't like leaving the house, right. 00:08:21 Speaker 2: I saw that on your Instagram story. You guys were hanging out in the house and she would get excited. 00:08:26 Speaker 1: At the outside, hands in the air. 00:08:29 Speaker 2: It was so sad, But you know what, everything you did was obviously good because I saw her this morning and she looks like a new baby. 00:08:37 Speaker 1: We went to the pediatrician just to like make sure everything was good. Ally was good. The biggest bummer was that we didn't get to go to Teddy Wolfe's birthday party, which is Pandora's son's firstborn son, firstborn baby. He turned one, and we didn't get to go because you know, we were obviously all sick, but it looked fat and it just would have been I love having Ocean engage with young kids. It's just really sweet. So I was really sad that we had to miss that. But you know what, Yeah, all is good. 00:09:11 Speaker 2: And she's healthy and you're healthy and Gigi's healthy, and I'm sorry you had to go through that. But what a terrifying thing it was. I cannot imagine. 00:09:20 Speaker 1: Don't even like, let's just say this. That night, Yeah, Ocean slept in my bed with me, and I did not sleep. I was literally up staring at her most of the night because I was horrified. I can't. She slept like a little angel baby. 00:09:38 Speaker 2: But still, holy moly. Well, it is the season too, so like you said, wash your hands because I mean, I guess nowadays, yeah, and vitamins nowadays, it's kind of always the season. I swear, I've never been more sick. I told you this, Lole. I've never been more sick in my life than I have probably this past year year now. 00:09:57 Speaker 1: Tired. Yeah, but I also think it's because there was that period of time that we all remember where we were on lockdown, and I think our immune systems are just they're shot because we haven't had any interaction to like build it up, you know, right. And again, that's just what I've been reading. I follow or I look up a lot of integrative medicine that practices Eastern and Western. I just love the combination of the two. And that's what a lot of doctors that practice that type of medicine are saying, we've been locked down. You're not, you know, inner we weren't interacting with anybody. Our immune systems were like sitting there going like we don't have to work at all, and you know, we're just sitting in a house all day. 00:10:41 Speaker 2: And then we all join the public again, and it's like everything all at once. 00:10:45 Speaker 1: Because I don't think I've been this sick really ever. I mean I used to go around sick people. People would tell me I'm sick, and I'm like, I don't give a shit. My immune system is so on point yeah, And it never got sick me too. 00:10:57 Speaker 2: I even was telling people because I get COVID for so long, I was like, ah, you know, it's me, I'm probably immune. And then I got it, you know, after everyone I had already gotten it. 00:11:08 Speaker 1: So it's just it is what it is. You know, you don't need to twist my arm to stay in my house. Right from morning until night, I watched a lot of reality TV, which is my favorite thing to do because you guys know, I'm Bravo obsessed. At one point my mom was like, should we maybe like watch something else? And I was like, twenty twenty. She was like, that works. So if it's not Bravo, it's something about murder. Right, But the new episode comes out tonight of Real House so I was of Salt Lake and I saw the preview. I'm just gonning. Okay, let's talk about the episode that aired last week. Okay, so there's this woman named Angie. I think they're like somewhat trying to introduce her as a new housewife because right now she's just like this random like woman that pops up, but she's stirring up some drama, so maybe this is like the soft intro for her. But her husband Chris started a finsta, which, by the way, I just learned what finsta was like when she shot Hey, no, why would I have a Finsta? Well, I need a fake insida. If I need to stock you, I'm stocking you La La can't pay bitch Obihiah. Well, I'll just have my friend do it. But he created a fake Instagram account and he like admits this right at a dinner table. It's Chris Harrington, his wife Angie, and then like Meredith Marx and her husband. And I was judging him so hard. 00:12:39 Speaker 2: Why because he like he admitted to creating it to what to stock people or. 00:12:45 Speaker 1: To have friends to out people to. He needed to defend his wife. And I'm like, so, number one, you're too big of a pussy to just do it on your own. Yeah, this is if that were me, this is where I'd be like, and here's the divorce papers. There wasn't a box that said you create Finsta accounts And I ain't down. So in reconcilable difference sights or whatever that fucking word is, he reconcilably something hard, something fucking hard that I don't need to know because I'm never getting married, so I'll never be served divorce papers or serve them. But I was judging him. I'm like, what are you doing. I want to crawl in a hole for you, and like Meredith and her husband were both also judging him but trying to be nice. But then their judgment and me co signing on them went out the window when they showed the preview for tonight's episode of Meredith and her husband in a bath together, Housewives, Housewives, Reality TV Personalities. I'm begging you, I am begging you stop bathing together. We don't want to see it, okay, and you can sit here. 00:13:55 Speaker 2: I'm begging you. 00:13:56 Speaker 1: I'm fucking begging you on my knees, stop baiting together. No one wants to see it. It's not natural, okay, and even if it were, I don't want to see it. It's similar to how I feel because there's been many seasons where producers have been like, well, maybe we can come with you to therapy, or maybe we can we can come with you while you meet your sponsor. First of all, anonymous program, my supponsor's not coming on here. Number two, you're sitting here saying we're filming your real life. In real life, I don't invite anyone into my therapy session, let alone millions of people exactly. So no, you're not coming in where like I'm bathing with my husband, which, no, you don't do. You don't fill up a bubble bath, be like, want to talk shit with me husband in the bubble bath with some wine? Because this is normal. 00:14:45 Speaker 2: I love that you say this because I've never I have dated guys. Thank god, Kyle's like, bath, what are you talking about? Absolutely not never I have I'll take a bath alone. But I've dated guys who like, like, oh, let's hop in the bath, and I'm always like, what, First off, if we're gonna do that shower, first, you have to take at least a ten minute shower if you're a man. Second, no, because I'm uncomfortable. I can't relax. You're like penis and balls are just like floating in the water. 00:15:17 Speaker 1: It's all just so unnatural. 00:15:20 Speaker 2: You don't do that. Oh my god, that's so funny. 00:15:24 Speaker 1: Hold on, Jess, the COVID tester just texted me and said, I just arrived for testing. You. Are you ready to test right now? Can you please text them and say it was supposed to be twelve forty five? Can you please come to the office. Yes? What is there? Ban are pump rules? This is real life. 00:15:37 Speaker 2: This is real life. 00:15:38 Speaker 1: I'm on TV. 00:15:42 Speaker 2: We could keep it on if he comes here. Yeah, okay, so you are uncomfortable with that? Is that like a thing they do. I don't see it a lot husbands and wives bathing together. 00:15:53 Speaker 1: It came a thing after Tamra Judge did it with Eddie, which back then, can I tell you? It's like that was the og? And by the way, Eddie's hot? So is Tamra Like they hadn't seen anything, like they made it a thing before. Like I am convinced they actually really do bathe together. Okay, she had just divorced her husband and they were bathing together and like they were the first of the housewives, so like whatever. Okay, Now people are like trying to recreate it and it's just it ain't hitten. Please stop. It's like the one thing I'll the only time I'll ever beg for anything. 00:16:30 Speaker 2: Yeah, stop it. I've wondered too about therapy. That's interesting. So you have the choice if you want the cameras in, because I'm assumings have a choice. Okay, yes, I'm assuming. Look if I'm watching a reality show and they bring me into therapy with them, I'm all in anytime. 00:16:45 Speaker 1: A cast member tries to blame production. They cannot legally force you to do anything. 00:16:51 Speaker 2: Okay, okay, got it. 00:16:53 Speaker 1: They can suggest things you don't have to do, anything that you don't want to do. 00:16:57 Speaker 2: Yeah, especially with you guys, because I haven't I've only been on the set of one other like reality based show, which was American Idol. But with vander Pump, I'm like, damn, the cameras just pop in and you guys do your thing like it's very much Obviously, American Idol was a bit different because we just had to be structured. It's a competition show if you don't like about their lives necessarily. But with you guys, it's like, and I know I've said this before, but it's like the cameras show up, and I mean all you really know is like where you're gonna be. 00:17:26 Speaker 1: Yeah, the bathing is just like cringey. Yeah, I'm fast forwarding because it's just like I don't link the therapy scenes like, no judgment if you want to film your therapy session. I'm sure there's a lot of people who find it very helpful. I personally am bored. I'm fast forwarding. 00:17:43 Speaker 2: Are you a bather with any of your past relationships, did you ever bathe with them? 00:17:51 Speaker 1: I had one relationship where it was like, if we both wanted to take a bath, it was like, well then move the fuck over because I'm getting into it. 00:17:57 Speaker 2: It wasn't like a sensual realm, not at all. 00:18:00 Speaker 1: Now, if we're showering together, I'm trying to hang on to the head of a shower. Boom ba boom ba boom. Right, we're showering together. It's about a gold But the bathison is. The bath is just like I'm not a corny person. 00:18:14 Speaker 2: I feel like a soup when if I'm in there with someone else, just that we're just like a stew and. 00:18:19 Speaker 1: By the way, like I know my bathing habits. So when I get into a bath, you know how most people are like baths are gross because you're sitting in your own filth. It's like, no, because I know how many times a day I bathe. Yes, so I'm just sitting in goodness, I don't know what the fuck you do. 00:18:34 Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. 00:18:35 Speaker 1: So I'm trying to take a shower. I'm not trying to bathe in your filths. 00:18:40 Speaker 2: No, that's what I'm saying. 00:18:41 Speaker 1: Yeah, So there's that. There's my two sents. Also what I've noticed, and I love Real Housewives of Salt Lake. Yeah, okay, Like I think they are amazing. However, there's there's an art all right too, when a camera sitting there watching you do your thing before, like your friend comes over and you start like unpacking the night before whatever it may be. They haven't conquered that art yet making something seem natural. Yeah, like when they're just sitting at home right, like you feel like, okay, they know that there's a camera in your house and it's a little weird, right. 00:19:22 Speaker 2: Is this how you feel about all of the housewives are just salt Lake? 00:19:27 Speaker 1: Just salt Lake right now? Because I feel like it's the newest. Unfortunately for me, I haven't watched you By yet, and I think that is like the newest of the housewives. But everything else with Salt Lake, I mean I just co sign on all of it because number one, I'm from there, so like they can do no wrong in my eyes. That part, I I you can just tell it's new. 00:19:47 Speaker 2: Yeah, I have to say I did, because I see clips like I tell you on social media, and I saw your skin product give them a less skin in one of the store Oh yeah. 00:20:00 Speaker 1: In the episode Heather Gay pulls together her staff meeting for beauty lab. Yeah, and they're right in the background while she's talking is give them a La skin with our gorgeous green zen packaging. 00:20:15 Speaker 2: It was beautiful. I did see that, and I was like, oh my god, look, I know how cool? Was that awesome? 00:20:19 Speaker 1: No, that was awesome. I've been watching so my mom has never seen throwback Real Housewives before. Okay, so I started her on Beverly Hills first season. Yes, and you watch Camille Grammar, who, by the way, first season, I think she would even admit she's insufferable. It's so bad, right, she divorces that person who maybe she was exhausted by it. Sometimes when you cut the fat, you become who you really are, right right, or you watch yourself because reality TV really is the ultimate mirror, going. Oh, I don't like what I'm seeing at all, but this franchise and what it has done for these women. Yeah, who the fuck is Kelsey Grammar? I don't know. I know, we all know Camille though after Real Housewives. 00:21:11 Speaker 2: Right, hold on, you're saying Kelsey Grammar's related to Camille. 00:21:15 Speaker 1: That was her husband, she maybe leaves her on the show Season one. 00:21:20 Speaker 2: Kelsey Grammer, the actor Yes Freezer, are you Yes? 00:21:24 Speaker 1: And the whole reason she would talk about like doing the show and how Kelsey wanted her to like come into her own come out in my shadow, like show yourself off and what you do on a daily basis. And I was just sitting there going, Wow, the Real Housewives franchise really has just like done wonders for these women. They're the stars. Yeah, their husbands may have been like the quote unquote rich ones providing these lifestyles, and then these women who are shown like holding it down. They're gorgeous, their mom and now they're starting brands and it's like these husbands are little bitch boys now following them around, and I personally love it. I shouldn't call them bitch boys because it's actually really sweet to watch these husbands be so supportive and not well some of. 00:22:16 Speaker 2: Them, some of them, because I've seen a couple where I've been like, I would never allow my husband to be on a reality TV show if he acted this way. 00:22:25 Speaker 1: I'm not. It shouldn't be a blanketed stem. And I mean Chris Harrington, who's like just shy of a real Housewives husband creating fins does I don't co sign embarrassing. I would have never admitted that, Chris. You should have gone to the grave with that one. 00:22:40 Speaker 2: Yeah, gone to the grave with his wife just like shocked or do you think she already issues? 00:22:47 Speaker 1: It was like him admitting to creeping around. Yeah, it was like looking at him, like admitting a problem is the first step, you know. 00:22:58 Speaker 2: I say this time, but I need to watch Housewives. I need to just like I need to watch it, Like I watched Kardashians religiously because every time I see clips, I'm like, this is the best show. 00:23:11 Speaker 1: And by the way, it's the clips yeah of Housewives. Yeah, the episode is just as good. I have seen so many clips of Kardashian stuff and I'm like, this looks amazing, great season. I made it through maybe three minutes of the first episode and turns it off. I was like, I'm not interested a lot of the highlights. 00:23:31 Speaker 2: So you could see clips of Kardashians and be like, oh my god, this is incredible, let's watch it, and then you watch the episode and you're like, oh, but. 00:23:39 Speaker 1: I'm sure the Kardashians don't give one fuck if I'm watching, because for me not watching, they have a million others fill in from my lack of watching. 00:23:47 Speaker 2: COVID tester just arrived. Should I have him? Should I? 00:23:50 Speaker 1: Yeah? Go grab him? Well okay, yes, for. 00:23:52 Speaker 2: The listeners, COVID tester said that he was told twelve fifteen. We were told twelve forty five. So let's say I'm going through the text right now to see who is right. Okay, h I just want to give you the heads up that we're testing Monday at twelve forty five. Is what Kurt said. So it looks like, Kurt, we love you, but thank you have a good one. 00:24:18 Speaker 1: So you know what behind the scenes is like a reality TV show. Just a classic case of miscommunication, Just. 00:24:26 Speaker 2: A classic case of miscommunication. Kurt, I would like to know if you're listening to this. Ooh, this is a good test to CEV listens to your podcast. Kurt is a producer on Vendor Pump Roles. Kurt, you better come correct, You better come correct, and I'll see me after this. Kurt, let us know. Was it you're bad for telling us twelve forty five or was it the tester's bad? I guess TBD either. 00:24:48 Speaker 1: Way, we got it done. We had some questions, yeah leak in. Oh what a. 00:25:00 Speaker 2: Here's a trickle trickle in lead in? 00:25:03 Speaker 1: Uh from people that listen to the podcast. Yeah, here should we talk about some of them? 00:25:09 Speaker 2: Yeah, here's the tea on the questions and comments. You guys, like, I've told you about my personal so my personal Instagram, I don't look at my DM requests a lot. But when I do, if it seems mean, I won't even click on it. If it seems nice, like I'll click on it and respond. 00:25:30 Speaker 1: So I haven't. 00:25:32 Speaker 2: I'm backed up in messages, I know, Like I looked at a message on Sunday where someone gave me a compliment and then like three days later was like, well forget it. Then if you're not going to respond, and I'm like, I just don't look at them a lot. So with the podcast, I try and look at those more. So if I don't, if me or Lala don't respond, it's only because there's there's a lot, so I go like, for instance, we might read some comments about the Beard episode and yeah that's where we're at. So thank you guys for dming the podcast. I look as much as I can, you guys, are the greatest with all of these like awesome, nice messages, and sometimes we'll have episodes like this where we can just respond. 00:26:19 Speaker 1: I think you're right on theme with the podcast, which is Tangents. 00:26:23 Speaker 2: Okay, let's see so okay, this is from Danielle. I'm just gonna say their first name in case they don't want to be hurt. 00:26:33 Speaker 1: I like that idea. 00:26:34 Speaker 2: But Hi, Lala and Jess, Hi Danielle getting caught up on podcasts and I'm listening to it, blah blah blah. I can tell you that I went to a dermatologist because my chin flash around my lips was always irritated. She asked if my husband had a beard, and he does, and I'm telling you I limit kissing him on the lips now. Lol. I haven't had any irritation since. 00:26:55 Speaker 1: Oh no, this is so bad because I love the usual hair is so much. It's the beard. 00:27:04 Speaker 2: I wonder if there's a message in here that says. 00:27:06 Speaker 1: By the way, I've curtailed my making out. Yeah, and my skin around my mouth is completely clearing up, like I won't even lie. 00:27:15 Speaker 2: Yeah, really yes, yeah, and actually I can see it. However, I didn't see that it was breaking out. But when you said it's breaking out, I didn't see it, but it doesn't mean it wasn't there. 00:27:23 Speaker 1: And I always know that it's something sketch, yeah, because I did back in the day. Have to get accutained. It's something different. Now it's called something different, But like if you watch season four and five, my skin is so bad, really so bad, and I couldn't get it under control, and I thought it was like my diet. I thought it was this, that and the other, to the point where I was like, I'm going to a dermatologist. They got to fix me, like something is off inside, and then they put me on the medication and it cleared up. So when I have a breakout, I'm like, we it's more topical rather than like the deep deep not saying I never get those anymore, but it's not like uncontrollable, right, That's why I knew. Yeah, I'm like, it's got to be the freaking beard because this is irritation. 00:28:12 Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's definitely yeah. Okay, Gina says, Hi, any chance you will ever restock the merch dying for a brand new hoodie? 00:28:23 Speaker 1: That's an amazing question. And yes, we are. We are one restocking. I actually just got a bunch of the restocked goods. Restocking goods. I think we'll restock during the holiday season and we'll have more merch. 00:28:37 Speaker 2: Yeah. Black Friday and heads up you guys. If Lala ever has another pop up pop up again like she did in New York City with Shopify, that is also where you'll get your hands on last pop up we did limited edition. We did like no one had ever seen it before. Brand new hoodies. 00:28:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, my merch is so bomb. Okay, I know that it's mine, So I sit here and I tooted. It's torn all day. The quality of my merch versus other people's march. I mean, I'm not trying to shit on anyone else's march, like do your thing, boo, but I'm super proud of. 00:29:13 Speaker 2: No yours is the brand new hoodie I have. I have the pink one. I it's very few pieces of clothing that I will wear and sit at home and comfy, cozy like I wear the uncomfortable hoodies out because they look cute, but the super comfortable hoodies I wear like at home. And that's what I do with the brand new hoodie. 00:29:31 Speaker 1: So you just wear it at home for no one to see. 00:29:35 Speaker 2: I wear it at home and I wear it out too. But it's one of those things where like you get home from work and you want to put on something cozy and sit on the couch. 00:29:41 Speaker 1: It's my brand new hoodie, all right, Well I wear mine out and about you do? Okay, Well, obviously start doing my egotistical ass. You catch me in that brand new hoodie? Like, is that all she wears? Probably you'll see it on this upcoming season. I'm sure he's so vague. You know that this motherfucking song is about me, about me? 00:30:08 Speaker 2: See you when I tell you about this. 00:30:09 Speaker 1: I'm in such a good mood. It's rainy, gloomy. I'm on a hundred today. 00:30:14 Speaker 2: Lala loves the gloomy days. 00:30:15 Speaker 1: Me sad. But I looked up to the sky today and I was like, why what all freaking weekend that I've been inside? You give me sunshine? A glorious morning makes me sick type day? And then I gotta go out and about to work on a Monday, and you're gonna give me this fabulous weather. Shake in my hate. 00:30:37 Speaker 2: It's kimmick. Glorious morning makes me sick type day. 00:30:42 Speaker 1: That's so funny. 00:30:43 Speaker 2: I'm gonna start saying this. Okay, Gary as a man with a beard, Yes, I wash mine lol, And I use face wash, shampoo and conditioner. 00:30:54 Speaker 1: Yo, he got a good beard, face wash, shampoo and conditioner. 00:30:59 Speaker 2: But I'm also gay, so I do the most. Oh care bear, we love you. 00:31:05 Speaker 1: But I'm also gay, so I do the most. 00:31:07 Speaker 2: So I do the most. 00:31:07 Speaker 1: I love him so much. Well, the straight men should take note. Yeah, the straight man. 00:31:12 Speaker 2: Should take note. Have you seen that TikTok going around of the straight men? Tell me you've seen it everyone who's listening, just. 00:31:19 Speaker 1: Because you have to sign me into TikTok because literally people send me tiktoks And I'm like, well, if I had Jessica's phone, I could look. I don't, it's not on my phone. 00:31:29 Speaker 2: About the straight men, their partners are like asking them if they wash their butt crack with soap, and they're like, what. 00:31:36 Speaker 1: Do you mean? 00:31:37 Speaker 2: Hold on, no, no, no, and they go and they're like what do you mean and they're like, wash your Like how do you wash your butt cracked? You spread the cheeks to you and they're like, no. 00:31:47 Speaker 1: You're telling me that a lot and straight men are not washing where beces comes out. 00:31:54 Speaker 2: They said, a lot of them are like they're the girls or guys. Their partners are like, how do you wash it? And they're like, I let the water whatever. I'm disgusted, I know, I asked Kyle, and thank god, he was like, that's disgusting. 00:32:07 Speaker 1: What do you mean? Of course, like it's like the fucking La River down there. 00:32:11 Speaker 2: He's like, of course I watched, but a lot of yeah, it's like a new trend going around and the women are like, yeah, it's wild. 00:32:19 Speaker 1: And another reason why I don't ever want a male companion. Yeah, I just want tricks around me and a vibrator. I'm good and you're good to go. 00:32:28 Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, this is I belieze. Okay, Lah and Jess don't know if you will see this, but wanted to say some things first, probably one of like fifty guys and the one percent straight lmfaol that listen, and I gotta say these episodes hit. Oh that's funny, Oh that's so nice. You and Jess are fucking vibe. That last episode with you in the Bostix was fire Explosion Emoji, where it's so good and insightful. Also, just wanted to say, perfect opportunity, La La, for you to create a beard oil for your ladies who like their guys with beards. 00:33:05 Speaker 1: With your skin line. Wait, we totally should do that. I need to start looking into ingredients that are like bomb to bring that on. Apparently I need male butt crack wash as well. I'm so grossed out. I can't get my mind. 00:33:20 Speaker 2: No, it's wild. He also goes just on to say I grew up in a household of all women and just why're different. It's so crazy to hear some stories about some of these douche lords that were given space on Earth. I think he's talking about men, which we you know, feel you And then he said keep kicking ass. Also, can you get Easton on like a monthly gig to answer some of your guy follower questions? And girl, I the love I couldnot agree with them. 00:33:45 Speaker 1: One super super exciting news about that stop he will be a regular guest very very soon, and I'm yeah, so excited about it because you know what he is. He's everybody. Yeah does that make sense? Yeah, someone said that to me the other day. Your brother is me Like, he's in the world, but he's an outsider and he's like sitting at brav Ocon and he's like, who the fuck are these people? But he's like got his eyes open because he's a man with eyes, and like he's spilling all the tea. 00:34:20 Speaker 2: He's hilarious. 00:34:21 Speaker 1: He is hilarious, So he's the best. 00:34:23 Speaker 2: He brightens the podcast episodes. He brightens my day. 00:34:26 Speaker 1: No one made me happier than Easton. 00:34:28 Speaker 2: Do we know if he will eventually because everybody knows now he lives in Utah. Will he eventually ever be living here? Or is that not his vibe? 00:34:37 Speaker 1: This is my game plan. Okay, let's hear because again we've spoken about this. We are a very tight knit family. Okay. My goal is by the summertime, get me and my family into a house Easton moves out to LA. I want to live with my family all right, and until that changes where I feel like it's time to start dating or whatever it may be, because right now I'm taking it day by day. And by the way, this could also change what I would like at this point in time. Get a nice house for me and my family, a yard for ocean, us all be living together, and Easton, you know, being a co host on the podcast. I love that just because I why the hell not. 00:35:23 Speaker 2: He's hilarious, funny, and like you said, he's kind of the every person Like we're both women, which is great. But I think a lot of men who listen to your podcast, whether gay or straight, I think that perspective is appreciated. 00:35:39 Speaker 1: It is, And yeah, we're both chicks. But Easton is very I mean he's so sweet, right, I know. And he grew up around my dad who treated women amazing, my older brother who is like very sweet when it comes to women and what they want in life, like they just uplift women. So Easton is a man who obviously has a male perspective. 00:36:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, but everyone. 00:36:09 Speaker 1: You could throw him in a room with anybody, all walks of life and everyone is gonna leave going I fuck with that kid. Oh my god. 00:36:17 Speaker 2: Yeah, Like Kyle asks all the time, how is he? Because he spent most of Ocean's birthday talking to Easton. He's like, I love that guy. I'm like, yeah, he's the shit. Everyone loves him. 00:36:25 Speaker 1: Everyone loves him, Everyone loves him. 00:36:27 Speaker 2: Oh my god. This just gave me an idea. Tell me, how fun would it be if when Easton moves here, we make a little psa to all of the single women living Okay, this could be, we could do it over the podcast. All of the single women living in this area has to be within like an hour and a half of LA tops. And we have them apply okay to go out on a date with Easton, and you and I go through applications. No hard feelings, but we have a specific application with a specific questions and stuff. Yes, we don't tell him, we tell him it's happening about check as well. Yes, we go through. We pick like ten ladies okay, and we document the journey on the podcast. Oh my god, let's do that, and then we set them up with dates and then see if any of them hit the girl. 00:37:15 Speaker 1: Also, yes, because if it becomes something, they have to be okay with living with us. Because at some point, or I'm just in my mind, I know that this is going to happen. At some point, I'm going to be able to go out and afford like an amazing home with wings and guest homes and shit. So there's gonna be like a Burningham compound as there should be. And you know what, whether you become my partner, my mother's partner, Eason's partner, you're gonna have to be down to all live together. Yeah, you'll have your separate area to like go do your thing. If you don't want to see us, you don't have to. But like I need to be in like walking or maybe yelling distance. Yeah, at all times. 00:37:58 Speaker 2: That would be so fucking fun. I'll be I'll be in. There's ocean's best friend, best the ocean, invite me in. 00:38:05 Speaker 1: Yeah, we're we're like a pot of orcas. All right, we're swimming together till the death. 00:38:11 Speaker 2: Oh my god, that'd be so fun. Okay, so TBD on that. 00:38:15 Speaker 1: A lot. 00:38:16 Speaker 2: I've already gone through six of you asking what the Sugar Baby documentary. Here's the thing I was asked. 00:38:23 Speaker 1: I never saw it, so I was. 00:38:24 Speaker 2: Asked this on my personal I mentioned it last right. I was asked this on my personal page pay Instagram DMS a couple days ago, and I looked and searched because this was this was before the pandemic, you guys, this was like years ago. But I will say so, I searched and searched, and I cannot find it. I don't know if it was on like Roku or like you too. I don't know what it was. I remember watching it with Kyle, and he tried to find it. But I do know this, if you search for it, I'm still looking for it, and I'll let you know as soon as I know. It wasn't It was episodic, but there was only one episode on the sugar Babies. It was one of those shows that was like ten episodes in one season, but each episode. 00:39:07 Speaker 1: Was something about something different. 00:39:09 Speaker 2: So the episode on sugar Babies was like episode three to five. It was one of those, but it was just one. So it was just I'll try and find out. I've been looking like crazy. We can't find it, but I'll let you know because I know a lot of you have been asking and I can't mind it. 00:39:24 Speaker 1: I don't know, we're all I'm very intrigued. I know I got a I mean, even getting that message. 00:39:31 Speaker 2: I was like, you're like, WHOA, Yeah, I know, okay. 00:39:35 Speaker 1: I didn't know that was the thing, the sugar babies. I learned about sugar babies when I was being called a sugar baby. 00:39:40 Speaker 2: Really, it's interesting. I think I knew it was a thing, and this is like no offense to anyone. I ended up finding out about it was a thing because when I was in high school. I used to be obsessed with, not saying these are sugar babies at all, but the Playboy girls. I used to be like the bunny. I would I had the necklace, I had a purse with little Bunny. My parents once they found out what it was, they took all that shit away, but for a little while I was able to wear it because they just thought it was a cute one. 00:40:09 Speaker 1: I know, I know we all did, yes, right old age of fourteen rocking the Playboy Bunny necklace from Claire's. 00:40:15 Speaker 2: And I remember watching Girls next Door So Good, not knowing, not putting two and two together that they dated Hugh Hefner, and then I saw them kiss and I was. 00:40:26 Speaker 1: Like, yeah, shocking, what is going on? But it was amazing back then, and then cut to where we are today and you find out not so amazing. 00:40:35 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so their feedback from the ladies. 00:40:39 Speaker 1: Well just like what it was like behind closed doors. I know, you know, I know does something to your mental state. And I, yeah, haven't done a lot of research. I just have seen again headlines and things like that, and I just think if a chick says even something is simple as I felt uncomfortable. 00:41:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm listening to you of course, Yes, of course, And just because I know we'll get DMS on this, Yes I have. I do know that Holly and Bridget Holly and Bridget, Yes, have a podcast out and that it's called Girls Next Level, And I think the first two episodes they really dive into like uncomfortable moments and stuff like that. So it's really good. 00:41:24 Speaker 1: I feel like it's so important for women to voice how they've been affected by certain people, Yeah, because there are so many women who feel so alone and like they can't share, and again, that does something to your mental state. Right, So when you hear someone like Holly Madison, who was like at the top, right, Yeah, everyone knew who she was. She looked like she lived this glamorous life and she was, you know, like comfortable with her sexuality. When you hear her and her trauma, just there's something about not feeling alone sounds so cheesy. 00:42:01 Speaker 2: No, it doesn't sound cheesy at all. 00:42:02 Speaker 1: When you feel like you're not by yourself on an island. Yeah, that's powerful. 00:42:07 Speaker 2: The amount of times they say that, and they say like because at the time, there wasn't a lot of I'm talking about Bridget and Holly is, there wasn't social media. So when they learned about when their show came out, Girls next Door and they found the message boards on the e website, Holly said she thought they were She was like, oh, they were getting so much hate, and she was like, oh my god, we are the only people hate us. She had no idea any other She's like, I didn't know celebrities and people on other TV shows got hate because we didn't see that online. So literally all I saw was us getting hate, and I thought we were like the most hated girls of the world. 00:42:48 Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like, oh my god, I I did the horrific move of whenever. By the way, so on my own Instagram page, like if I if I click on comments, there's maybe two or three that aren't very nice and the rest are just really positive. Because a normal person follows you because they like you, Yeah, because they want to hate on you. If I see someone else has posted me, avoid the comment section. Because I clicked on the comment section and people were being so unkind about me, and I had to number one. I prayed yeah after like because it was festering in me and I was like, God, I need you to like take like release me from the bondage of self, right, And I had to tap into like this is what every person in the public I go through. It's not just you, all right, So shake it off, bitchy, Yeah, shake it off. 00:43:44 Speaker 2: We won't go in it again. Although we got I just went through multiple dms that were like we loved you. Going in on Pam, I was like, for a second, I was like, who's Pam. 00:43:53 Speaker 1: Oh, Pam? Yeah? Yeah, I was like I did go in on Pam. 00:43:59 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:44:00 Speaker 1: And by the way, I want to make a correction because I was like, call me when you're driving a Rolls Royce and live in Beverly Hills. Even that, all right, even that because at some point, like I just know that I'm gonna be able to go and do those things. Yeah, this is what I really want to say. Call me when you're living on Venus taking a spaceship. That impresses me. I don't know one one bitch, not one bitch who's flying around in a spaceship going to their home in Venus. 00:44:26 Speaker 2: That's true, right, But on that same note, if you're still acting the way you are, Pam, I'm not fucking impressed. Maybe Laala's impressed. You could. You could own on in the moon, you could literally. 00:44:38 Speaker 1: Make your own You're still ming all right, and you're. 00:44:43 Speaker 2: Still being an asshole. 00:44:44 Speaker 1: Fuck off me, little old me from vander Pump Rules. Thanks for watching, Pam God tune in next season season ten. La LA's back at it again. 00:44:58 Speaker 2: Good Lord, Like you have said in the past, you appreciate all of your pair. 00:45:03 Speaker 1: Can I tell you what I learned? Well, I do appreciate all my fans. Yeah, before we sign off, Yes, I'd like to start doing a segment in this podcast where each episode, at the end, I talk about what I learned this week. Oh, this week, so I celebrated my fourth birthday for sobriety, and what happens. So I have little groups of like little sober sisters, and what happens is sometimes you go to a meeting and you get more than one cake, right, Like I'll go to a meeting here and like, my sponsor will give me a cake. And then one of my friends who's also sober, is like, do you want to go to this meeting? I want to give you a cake tonight. So I met up with one of my friends. I won't say her name because it's anonymous, but she's just like brilliant, Okay, the way that she practices her program, she has what I want. So I went with her, and what happened during my sobriety. I practice a twelve step pro I a few years ago was on the ninth step, and my steps I take a while because there's just a lot to unpack. And there was a moment in July of twenty twenty where I realized that I was attacking my partner at the time a lot verbally, and I then realized I have resentment that I have to work through. Okay, so we went back to my fourth step. I've been on it ever since because the pile up of resentments just kept happening. Cut to where we are today. I have more resentments than I've ever had, and I don't even know where to start on this step because I've said to my sponsor, right now, it just has to be enough for me to not drink, because I'm not ready to like go like it's going to be pretend, and then that could jeopardize my sobriety. 00:46:56 Speaker 2: Sorry. 00:46:57 Speaker 1: So I was having a conversation with my friend before this meeting and a few other people who are in sobriety, and I explain this to her, and she said to me, you now have the luxury, Lalla, of not having to take on his shit. It's his, it's his true. You now get to say I'm done with all of this, it's not mine anymore. 00:47:22 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:47:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, And you don't get to choose how God holds people accountable. So she said, that's where you start, she said, And if you think that your God isn't going to hold someone accountable, you need to find a bigger God. So go back to the drawing board. What does because that's what we practice an AA. You walk in and sometimes it doesn't hit right for people because there's a lot of talk about God. What you won't hear, So open your ears when you're in the room. You get to create your own. It looks different for everybody. What is greater than yourself and everything else that exists on the planet? Right? Yeah, So I've started working through my resentments. She sent me an amazing I want to tell you, guys, if you're struggling to download this app, which I just downloaded. I can't even believe I've been sober for four years and didn't know about this freaking app. It's called twenty four hours, and they give you AA thought of the day, meditation for the day, prayer for the day, and guess what today's was all about? Resentments? WHOA? 00:48:32 Speaker 2: I know, how strange is it just for people in AA? Correct the app? 00:48:37 Speaker 1: You know what? I feel like the AA program, even though it's alcoholics anonymous, the program in itself is really just becoming a better human being. I think everyone could benefit from, like reading the AA book, the Big Book. So that was really nice. That was a huge step in my program because my life when I go to work on a reality television show, yeah, is not quite in alignment with my program. It's my livelihood and what you're seeing with We actually did an episode for the doctors, doctor Daniel Poor and doctor Laky. They asked, what we see on TV is at who you are? It absolutely is who I am when you put me in that situation. Just like if I were to put anyone with someone they didn't connect with in a room, what would it be like? Guess what in real life if I don't fuck with someone, I certainly am not going to a dinner party with you exactly, I'm not coming. Yeah, I don't want to be around you, So you're not gonna see that side of me for vander Pump. You are seeing who I am in a situation. So when people say I met Lala last night, she's totally different than what I see on TV. She's so nice, it's like, yeah, what you think I'm just I'm gonna roll up on you and call you a fucking bitch. Yeah no, because I'm a normal person. It may not seem like it all the time. 00:50:05 Speaker 2: And like you've said, you said a couple episodes ago, it's a ten to fifteen to twenty episode season and you you film for months. So the stuff they pick and choose, everything that makes it on the show is the most emotionally heightened thing, whether or not it's anger or you know, it's sadness or this and this and that and like, so it could make one look like, oh my god, she's screaming one day and the next day she's breaking down, Like this chick is emotionally unstable or whatever. I'm not saying that's how it looks, but you know, I'll watch reality shows and see that and be like damn. But it's like they're picking and choosing all of the most entertaining quote unquote great moments. Yeah, they filmed you for months, so then you meet you in person and yeah, you're chill, You're like cool, you're behind I like you. Yeah, you're just like a nice You're hilarious, which I always wish they show more of how funny you. 00:51:01 Speaker 1: Are, but that's another story. 00:51:04 Speaker 2: So yeah, that's amazing though. I love that you have those people in your life. And what would you tell someone struggling with Maybe they're not ready to go to AA, but they they're just in this. I mean, what's the next step do you have to get yourself ready? I personally have a family member who I was just talking to about this and they said, I'm not ready to go. They struggle with alcohol, and they said, but I'm not ready to give it up. I can't give it up. 00:51:28 Speaker 1: Well, then at that point in time, there's nothing you can do because there's nobody that can get you sober, and there's no one that can keep you sober. That is something that you have to want desperately. And that's what I've found with most people in AA is you hear about all of their rock bottoms looking very different, but at the end of each person's story. This person was begging to be sober. For the most part. There's actually a lot of people who went to AA on a court order. And like a woman I heard last night court order she was in a custody battle and they said, you better freaking get sober, you better go to a twelve step program. And thirty eight years of sobriety. 00:52:11 Speaker 2: Wow, that's InCred eight years. Yeah, but that shows me that deep down or somewhere inside of her, she did want to. 00:52:18 Speaker 1: She wanted it. She went into those rooms and she was willing to hear the message. I love the program. I think it's awesome, and you're gonna have meetings that you love and meetings that you're like. I didn't connect with that, But don't blanket all of them into one because they're all different, so fine ones that hit. If you're not ready to go in the room, get on Amazon, order the big book. Just start reading, highlight what resonates with you, and you're gonna know when you're ready. But I will say, sobriety is the biggest gift you could give yourself. So there's my tangent of that I'm working. I've officially decided I am ready to work through my resentments. How funny. Four years sober and I'm working on step for you. 00:53:00 Speaker 2: That's amazing. 00:53:01 Speaker 1: Before I met can you where's just the number? 00:53:04 Speaker 2: Can you skip steps? I don't know really? Okay, so you have to. You could be on one step for years sometimes. 00:53:10 Speaker 1: I've been on Step four since July of twenty twenty. 00:53:13 Speaker 2: Okay, so you can so. 00:53:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's everyone's program is different. That's what's so great about it. Find a sponsor who works the program the way it it. It's tailored to you. Right, So I personally would not skip steps. That's just me. It's a lot of work. 00:53:32 Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, because rats, I know I've said it these past three episodes now, but it's I mean, it's incredible. And we didn't even get to the messages. I'm sorry about all of you. 00:53:41 Speaker 1: Sorry I went on. 00:53:42 Speaker 2: No, No, I get to the messages about people just praising you for your sobriety and saying thank you for how much you've helped to them. So I know you get them a lot, but it's one day I'll print them out and give them all to you because they're really sweet. 00:53:55 Speaker 1: Well, I would love to like have a little like even just a book of messages about sobriety because it's the best thing that's ever happened to me, the best gift I've ever given myself. And just to see people opening up to me about something that is like you're in your most vulnerable state when you're admitting that you have a problem, right, So it's humbling. It's humbling to know each birthday, even just each day that passes. I'm proud, but I'm humbled because the work never stops. You cannot cure an addiction. So it's like we hit four years and we got until the grave to go. Like that's a humbling fact. 00:54:37 Speaker 2: Right, and which could be to me that could seem sometimes unbearable, but you always say one day at a time, one minute at a time. Yes, yeah, So I think that's incredible. Oh and we do want to do I know a lot of people have asked you and which you can do when you're ready, but they want to hear your sobriety story again. So when you're ready, we can do an episode of you just saying how you got there, talking about because a lot of people have said we'd love her to do a sobriety episode where she just talks about it all. 00:55:06 Speaker 1: Oh I love that. 00:55:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let's do it. 00:55:09 Speaker 1: You guys, I want to thank you so much for listening to another episode of the Give Them La La Podcast. I love you all very much. Happy hump Day, and I will catch you next week
