<v Speaker 1>Hey, hey, everybody, welcome to game Breaking News with me
<v Speaker 1>Jeff Grub, your Hope dot Com. Thank you for tuning in.
<v Speaker 1>In this episode, we're going to be talking which two
<v Speaker 1>is as expensive as it is, It's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a good one because we have two more.
<v Speaker 2>Who's saying on the show, Tam, how are you doing?
<v Speaker 3>I am playing street Fire three third Strike in the
<v Speaker 3>palm of my hand. Get that, man, I am loving it.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not gonna plays.
<v Speaker 2>Or fuck oral No, no, there we go.
<v Speaker 3>I'm whispering. I'm doing good. How are you, Jeffy grob Grub, I'm.
<v Speaker 2>Doing pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>Happy to have you here on the show again, back
<v Speaker 1>returning champion.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>You know, it's been an eventful handful of weeks. Uh
<v Speaker 1>kind of non stop let's.
<v Speaker 4>Get yeah, I got it.
<v Speaker 1>I had feelings originally, Now I really love them now
<v Speaker 1>that I've been had so much more exposure. Yeah, it's been,
<v Speaker 1>like I said, NonStop. Ready for the weekend. Though in
<v Speaker 1>the meantime, we got some dregs. We got some real
<v Speaker 1>news as well. We'll get into all of it here
<v Speaker 1>pretty soon. But I'm wondering, I'm like, at this point
<v Speaker 1>now that we could talk about it how everyone is
<v Speaker 1>getting on with blue Prints because I don't expect and
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how you feel, but I don't expect
<v Speaker 1>everyone to love it the way I do. And so
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, oh, I want to hear all the different
<v Speaker 1>feelings about it.
<v Speaker 2>How are you? How are you into it Blueprints?
<v Speaker 4>Oh?
<v Speaker 3>I think I've played like ten hours now. She is
<v Speaker 3>wack as fuck. Man, I'm bored as hell, and I'm
<v Speaker 3>so bored out of my mind.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not sure.
<v Speaker 1>I think there's gonna be a lot of people who
<v Speaker 1>feel that way. That's why I'm like really happy it's
<v Speaker 1>just on Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra.
<v Speaker 2>So I think there's some people aren't drive with it.
<v Speaker 4>I understand it.
<v Speaker 2>Uh huh.
<v Speaker 3>I I well, I understand why people can like it,
<v Speaker 3>and I can and I get where like I think,
<v Speaker 3>I really, I'm not a huge fan of homework games anymore.
<v Speaker 3>Sure where it's like you got to spend and also
<v Speaker 3>like the layer stuff of it is not great. Like
<v Speaker 3>I reached the anti chamber and I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>something cool is going to happen, and nothing happened.
<v Speaker 1>I was like, oh, yeah, there's yeah exactly.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, and like kept it like I get it like
<v Speaker 3>it's it's good, but like I I just I don't know.
<v Speaker 3>I feel like I need more to my games to
<v Speaker 3>excite me. Then I feel like I feel like I'm
<v Speaker 3>an old man reading a newspaper, like a broadsheet newspaper
<v Speaker 3>when I play that game, which is not the vibe
<v Speaker 3>that I want to be going for right now. You know,
<v Speaker 3>I'm trying to get higher f LSD and play you know.
<v Speaker 2>Of course, Yeah, no, that's that's why I asked to
<v Speaker 2>figure like, this is not giving you the high up
<v Speaker 2>LSD that you crave from your actually yeah, just actual drugs.
<v Speaker 3>Absolutely, There's not a single thing in that game that
<v Speaker 3>I can upper cut or parry, and I think that's
<v Speaker 3>any It is trash if you know, you know how that.
<v Speaker 2>Was, uh huh.
<v Speaker 1>I I think if that main gameplay is not sparking you,
<v Speaker 1>it's not going to work.
<v Speaker 3>It's and I think it's joy it's sparked Foxy yawning.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I'm I'm glad that I could get your opinion
<v Speaker 1>on it. Finally, not surprised. Like I said, I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>I think people are gonna go in there and be
<v Speaker 1>like this, I'm just not in the mood for this
<v Speaker 1>and that's going to be a lot of people, I think,
<v Speaker 1>but boy, still hitting hard for me. I am like
<v Speaker 1>fifty layers deeper than I ever thought this game had
<v Speaker 1>and uncovering that stuff has been a fun process for me.
<v Speaker 4>But it's I am going to carry on playing it
<v Speaker 4>to get to that stage. I think.
<v Speaker 3>Then if I hit a point where I'm like it
<v Speaker 3>does something, I'm like, oh, I see, I haven't. I've
<v Speaker 3>had a few of those, I think, but I haven't
<v Speaker 3>had one where I've been like, oh, this was your
<v Speaker 3>big move, this was your like, your your prestige and
<v Speaker 3>it don't work on you.
<v Speaker 4>I'm out.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, I think the prestige is probably still to come,
<v Speaker 1>but I don't know. I don't expect it to win
<v Speaker 1>you over. That's where I'm at with that, and that's
<v Speaker 1>again that's fine for sure.
<v Speaker 2>Though.
<v Speaker 1>Let's explain what we here most weekdays, I Jeff Grubb,
<v Speaker 1>will help piece your gaming life back together. That includes
<v Speaker 1>breaking news and maybe even some of our own original reporting.
<v Speaker 1>For all these topics, I'll get the input of a
<v Speaker 1>bona fide expert who will make me look smart. If
<v Speaker 1>you are watching live on twitch welcome, you can always
<v Speaker 1>listen to the show later on podcast feeds by searching
<v Speaker 1>for Game mess Mornings, or find the RSS feed on
<v Speaker 1>giant bomb dot com.
<v Speaker 2>You can also catch the show later on YouTube. Hello YouTube.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have a lot to get into, so
<v Speaker 1>let's start the show with Switch to to be sold
<v Speaker 1>at a loss to to higher production cost analysts.
<v Speaker 2>Says.
<v Speaker 1>This is from Eddie mccoitt Game Spot, and you know,
<v Speaker 1>it's the story of the last two weeks, really the
<v Speaker 1>last week. It's still only kind of been around ten
<v Speaker 1>days since the switch to got announced, and boy it
<v Speaker 1>feels a lot longer. Nintendo, which has a history of
<v Speaker 1>selling its consoles at a profit when its competitors may not,
<v Speaker 1>is expected to sell every switch to console at a
<v Speaker 1>launch or at launch for a loss. That's the belief
<v Speaker 1>of one analyst, who estimated that the total bill of
<v Speaker 1>material costs for the switch to to be four hundred
<v Speaker 1>US dollars. The system launches in June priced at four
<v Speaker 1>hundred and fifty US dollars. We'll just you know, pause there, well,
<v Speaker 1>four to fifties more than four hundred, right, but that's
<v Speaker 1>just the cost of goods. It actually doesn't like account
<v Speaker 1>for assembling it or shipping it or packaging it. You know,
<v Speaker 1>packaging materials alone can cost fifteen to thirty dollars, so
<v Speaker 1>right there, you're already adding a ton to your costs.
<v Speaker 1>So four hundred dollars, that's why you know they're going
<v Speaker 1>to go four to fifty and try to get as
<v Speaker 1>much as they can. But even in that situation, even
<v Speaker 1>in a perfect environment where there weren't tariffs, they probably
<v Speaker 1>were going to be selling this thing at a little
<v Speaker 1>bit of a loss. Speaking of Bloomberg, Tokyo Securities analysts
<v Speaker 1>head Deci Yessuda made this claim and said the loss
<v Speaker 1>is something Nintendo would be able to absorb. You should
<v Speaker 1>have previously said this. Previously said the switch to his
<v Speaker 1>new chipset alone might cost as much as one hundred
<v Speaker 1>and fifty dollars, which compares to eighty dollars a unit
<v Speaker 1>for the original switch.
<v Speaker 4>This is.
<v Speaker 1>I think something that it just sounds like right to
<v Speaker 1>me at a certain point, was just operating under the
<v Speaker 1>assumption this thing probably costs about as much to make
<v Speaker 1>as all of the handheld PCs we've gotten over the
<v Speaker 1>last couple of years. You know, obviously there are some
<v Speaker 1>higher end ones that, especially once they have huge one
<v Speaker 1>terabyte SSDs and them things like that that would drive
<v Speaker 1>up the cost, you know, if this doesn't have that
<v Speaker 1>two hundred and fifty six gigabytes.
<v Speaker 2>Of fast flash memory. But it's still not an SSD
<v Speaker 2>still though.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I think the comparison point here was always
<v Speaker 1>the rag Ally and the Steam Deck, and so four
<v Speaker 1>hundred and fifty dollars kind of always sat I felt
<v Speaker 1>like on the high end, but it sat right with
<v Speaker 1>me mostly.
<v Speaker 2>Obviously, the game price is a whole other conversation.
<v Speaker 1>But like, do you think people are starting to become
<v Speaker 1>more accepting of this price or is it still just
<v Speaker 1>like No, I remember what the switch one cost.
<v Speaker 2>It was priced at for me, and this is way more.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know if they're accepting, but I think most
<v Speaker 3>people will begrudgingly buy one, and that's usually how it
<v Speaker 3>always goes. Yeah, my time in retail, I had people
<v Speaker 3>coming in when the Wei was very difficult to get
<v Speaker 3>and they did not care how much the price was.
<v Speaker 3>Their kid or their grandkid wanted that thing. And if
<v Speaker 3>you were in there trying to get a Wii at
<v Speaker 3>that time, it meant that you were willing to pay
<v Speaker 3>whatever it took to get it. And I think we'll
<v Speaker 3>have the element of that with the switch to where
<v Speaker 3>some people are going to be like, it is what
<v Speaker 3>it is. I'm an experience with this world, and I
<v Speaker 3>know that Nintendo is not going to change anything. So
<v Speaker 3>I can bitch and moan as much as I want.
<v Speaker 3>It's not going to change anything really, Or you've got
<v Speaker 3>the funds and the need to just satiate whoever it
<v Speaker 3>is that you're trying to buy it for and you
<v Speaker 3>don't really care about the price.
<v Speaker 4>Price is no option.
<v Speaker 3>I think there's definitely going to be people who pick
<v Speaker 3>it up later on down the line. I don't think
<v Speaker 3>it's like I don't think the price is going to change.
<v Speaker 3>I think the only thing that really changes and spurs
<v Speaker 3>new purchases in the Nintendo world for consoles especially, is
<v Speaker 3>what kind of bundle is on offer.
<v Speaker 4>So that's usually where the spikes.
<v Speaker 3>When I was working in retailing, that's where usually the
<v Speaker 3>way the interest spikes would happen. When there was a
<v Speaker 3>new game and people were looking for a console at
<v Speaker 3>the same time, they would try and find the bundle
<v Speaker 3>that had that game in it. So I imagine it's
<v Speaker 3>going to do fine because of the Mario card bundle,
<v Speaker 3>and then I think it'll probably taper off a little bit,
<v Speaker 3>but it's still be popular because everyone wants a heart
<v Speaker 3>new Nintendo thing. And then the next time when like
<v Speaker 3>Yankee Dong comes out, that will be the next time
<v Speaker 3>it goes up, and then Metroid will go up and
<v Speaker 3>that kind of stuff. So I think long short of
<v Speaker 3>it is people are going to accept it regardless. They're
<v Speaker 3>going to be upset about it, for sure. I think
<v Speaker 3>the real emotion will come once people have purchased it
<v Speaker 3>and they start making judgments and vocalizing whether they're getting
<v Speaker 3>their money's worth out of a good point. I think
<v Speaker 3>that's where the real battle is going to be, because
<v Speaker 3>if it goes anywhere, and if it goes the way
<v Speaker 3>that Nintendo is tradition done, we're going to get a
<v Speaker 3>bunch of third party titles that some of them will
<v Speaker 3>pay play fine, a lot of them will be inferior versions.
<v Speaker 3>Perhaps the gap between like It playing how it plays
<v Speaker 3>on the switch too, and how it plays in the
<v Speaker 3>Steam Deck and a normal other console is like smaller.
<v Speaker 2>Now.
<v Speaker 3>Nevertheless, I think people are going to be like, okay,
<v Speaker 3>where is the Nintendo games? Those those will come in
<v Speaker 3>in a drip feed, and those will be what people
<v Speaker 3>really like build their value around. For me, I'm in
<v Speaker 3>that position where it's like I am not playing Cyberpunk
<v Speaker 3>on that game on that console.
<v Speaker 4>It's not happening.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I played Witcher three on the Switch and let me
<v Speaker 3>tell you, that was poop from a butt and I
<v Speaker 3>like stopped after literally fifteen minutes.
<v Speaker 4>I was like, I'm out of here. This is not
<v Speaker 4>the way to play it.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I'm buying that thing for at least to begin
<v Speaker 3>with Metric Prime only. So for me, I'm going in
<v Speaker 3>there being like with the understanding that I will play
<v Speaker 3>Metric Prime, Donkey Kong and Mario kar and then have
<v Speaker 3>to accept that if there's not a game that I
<v Speaker 3>enjoy from that point on ever, again, it's just the
<v Speaker 3>way it's gonna be.
<v Speaker 4>Like that is that is what I'm going in for.
<v Speaker 3>And it was similar with the Switch, Like I play
<v Speaker 3>my Switch, but there's nothing in there that is like
<v Speaker 3>exciting to me, and there are people who have it
<v Speaker 3>as their main console. Oh, but like I played I
<v Speaker 3>played Zelda, I played Mario, I played Mario Carr and
<v Speaker 3>then after that I was like, say, yeah, how's about it?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think your sort of like personal anecdote there
<v Speaker 1>of like how you feel about the thing. Everyone's gonna
<v Speaker 1>have their own variation on that.
<v Speaker 2>They're going to have to.
<v Speaker 1>Work their way through the price one way or the other,
<v Speaker 1>or or you know, for or against it. Like if
<v Speaker 1>they tell themselves that story of like I'm gonna get
<v Speaker 1>this thing, and am I really just gonna get you know,
<v Speaker 1>Mario Kurt and maybe Donkey Kong in the first couple
<v Speaker 1>of months.
<v Speaker 2>Is that enough for me to feel good about this?
<v Speaker 2>And I think there's gonna be a lot of people
<v Speaker 2>who will say no.
<v Speaker 1>But that's not really the question Nintendo's asking. They're asking,
<v Speaker 1>you know, is this price at a point where you
<v Speaker 1>know it will not hurt demand because we know supply
<v Speaker 1>is going to be limited, you know, because it just
<v Speaker 1>always is at the beginning of a launch. But are
<v Speaker 1>we going to sell through that? Will there will there
<v Speaker 1>be enough demand at four hundred and fifty dollars and
<v Speaker 1>then five hundred dollars bundled with Mario Kart to sell
<v Speaker 1>out what we can supply. And the answer is almost
<v Speaker 1>certainly yes.
<v Speaker 2>Uh yea.
<v Speaker 3>There's the demand is going to be there and the
<v Speaker 3>lack of supply will feed that demand to be even higher.
<v Speaker 3>I think, like most were, we're a very limited kind
<v Speaker 3>of uh set of people who will be like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>it's too expensive for us and this and that. But
<v Speaker 3>you get parents out there, like I'm sure you can
<v Speaker 3>attest to as well, like when that kid asks enough
<v Speaker 3>times and is annoying enough and and like you see
<v Speaker 3>them around their friends and they're the only one that
<v Speaker 3>don't have the thing that they're all paying on. At
<v Speaker 3>certain point, like the the sense goes out there win
<v Speaker 3>now and you're like, I just need to get this
<v Speaker 3>kid this thing man for what ever reason. And I
<v Speaker 3>feel like a lot of that, especially around Christmas time,
<v Speaker 3>Like it's hard to say no at Christmas time for
<v Speaker 3>kids as well, and it's like this will be the
<v Speaker 3>only thing you get for the next year.
<v Speaker 4>Are you okay with that?
<v Speaker 3>Like that is going to All of that is going
<v Speaker 3>to happen, So the demand is going to be there.
<v Speaker 3>The issue is going to be the supply. And usually
<v Speaker 3>again going back to my Wii and even somewhat we
<v Speaker 3>PlayStation three days as well, the longer the supply is limited,
<v Speaker 3>the more intense the demand becomes. So I expect like
<v Speaker 3>the switch to demand is going to go for a
<v Speaker 3>bunch of mobs, maybe even halfway into next year. And
<v Speaker 3>I think that people are gonna be surprised to find
<v Speaker 3>that the five hundred dollars price tag is going to be.
<v Speaker 4>The discussion around that is going to fade away fairly quickly.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, I think, you know.
<v Speaker 1>And then the other conversation is is the game prices?
<v Speaker 1>And I you know, again, we can explain this from
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo's point of view of just since twenty seventeen, purchasing
<v Speaker 1>power has gone down. So if you convert eighty dollars
<v Speaker 1>in twenty twenty five to how much of that would
<v Speaker 1>have had been in purchasing power back in twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 1>it is equivalent to sixty one dollars and fifty cents.
<v Speaker 1>And so it's like they are keeping up with inflation.
<v Speaker 1>I don't no one wants to hear that. I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to hear that. I don't care. That's Nintendo's problem,
<v Speaker 1>but that from another point of view, they're like, we're
<v Speaker 1>not really raising the price we have. Like you know,
<v Speaker 1>if you look at how they've priced games from their
<v Speaker 1>last several decades of consoles, it's always been right at
<v Speaker 1>this level the equivalent of what would be sixty dollars
<v Speaker 1>in twenty seventeen essentially, so, but you know that's going
<v Speaker 1>to add up quick for all of us who have
<v Speaker 1>not seen wage increases, meaningful wage increases, And I think
<v Speaker 1>that's where this becomes.
<v Speaker 2>More of a problem.
<v Speaker 1>But that's like, it is a different problem, right than
<v Speaker 1>getting people to buy the console. Getting people to buy
<v Speaker 1>the console out of the gate. You do bundle in
<v Speaker 1>with Mario Kart at a discount, and that sort of
<v Speaker 1>helps people get over the hump. And then once you
<v Speaker 1>own the console, I do think it's like an easier
<v Speaker 1>story for them to tell of, Well, you already owned it.
<v Speaker 2>Oh own this thing.
<v Speaker 1>You've already spent you know, upwards of five hundreds on
<v Speaker 1>this machine. Are you really not going to buy more
<v Speaker 1>games for it just because it's ten dollars more than
<v Speaker 1>you know, Zelda Tiers of the Kingdom. And I think
<v Speaker 1>most people then at that point we're also breakthrough that barrier.
<v Speaker 2>But not as many.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's going to there are going to be
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people who are going to be, like,
<v Speaker 1>I am skipping more games than I would like because
<v Speaker 1>it's now eighty dollars and that's going to be a
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo's problem from that point going forward.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think the demand for games is going to
<v Speaker 3>be much. I think demand for games from an anecdotal perspective,
<v Speaker 3>is going to be people want, the desire for games
<v Speaker 3>will be there. They actually like the executioner it, and
<v Speaker 3>how much games, how many games are being sold or
<v Speaker 3>actively being purchased by consumers. I think that's going to drop.
<v Speaker 3>I don't think it's going to be precipitous, but I
<v Speaker 3>think it's going to be enough for it to be
<v Speaker 3>an issue. However, I think what's likely to happen is
<v Speaker 3>the console is likely to get the free to play
<v Speaker 3>games that you know, feel and satiate against people a
<v Speaker 3>lot of the audience these days, Like if they get
<v Speaker 3>for once that Fortnite is on that thing, Like, I
<v Speaker 3>think that's a lot of people like you. There's generation
<v Speaker 3>of people that only play Fortnite, right, Like that is
<v Speaker 3>going to be a big deal for them. Like, and
<v Speaker 3>I don't know, wars On will inevitably probably make it
<v Speaker 3>there because we can't run that now and all these
<v Speaker 3>like free to play games that are part of the
<v Speaker 3>gaming culture in a way that it wasn't for us
<v Speaker 3>when we were coming up and trying to convince people
<v Speaker 3>into buying us a snares or a Mega Drive or
<v Speaker 3>whatever it may be.
<v Speaker 4>PlayStation.
<v Speaker 3>Those are kind of going to be a much bigger
<v Speaker 3>factor in the kind of landscape of gaming purchases. I
<v Speaker 3>do also I am interested in the impact because I
<v Speaker 3>believe that it is as it's a significant increase in
<v Speaker 3>game pricing that is gonna it's going to catch a
<v Speaker 3>lot of people off, God, especially if they're not paying
<v Speaker 3>attention to the day to day of like, oh, Nintendo
<v Speaker 3>is talking about this and we saw this coming months ago. No,
<v Speaker 3>some people are going to go into a store and see,
<v Speaker 3>oh my god, why is this eighty dollars? Because they
<v Speaker 3>don't read RSS feeds or listen to podcasts.
<v Speaker 1>And they're not going to want to hear They're not
<v Speaker 1>they're not going to want to hear the excuses of inflation. No,
<v Speaker 1>that would not There has nothing to do with them, Yeah, exactly.
<v Speaker 3>And I do wonder the impact this could potentially have
<v Speaker 3>on the the secondhand and pre on the market, which
<v Speaker 3>has taken a bit of a hit in the digital
<v Speaker 3>age kind of like it dropped down, and this could
<v Speaker 3>be a moment where there's some life breathed back into
<v Speaker 3>that kind of that industry, and for better or for worse,
<v Speaker 3>Like ideally it would mean that you know, people are
<v Speaker 3>selling games to each other in a more reasonable way.
<v Speaker 3>There's also going to be the game stops of the
<v Speaker 3>world that are going to give you like peanuts for
<v Speaker 3>your game and then sell them for like a dollar
<v Speaker 3>cheaper than the other one or how much. If you
<v Speaker 3>see there, Yeah, if you see that actually happening and
<v Speaker 3>do not engage, you're better off, like just trying to
<v Speaker 3>find a game online on you know.
<v Speaker 2>Just sports server, there's probably a game swap channel in
<v Speaker 2>there or something like that.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, let's do it. We should do that.
<v Speaker 3>We should make a the switch two games are too
<v Speaker 3>expensive swap hair.
<v Speaker 4>Everyone is trusted.
<v Speaker 3>Kind of vibe, which which will be fun. But yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I think there's going to be knock on effects. I'm
<v Speaker 3>interested in seeing the knock on economic effects of the
<v Speaker 3>game of switch games skyrocketing in this way, because I
<v Speaker 3>definitely think there's gonna be some I just don't know
<v Speaker 3>where it's going to happen. On the one hand, it
<v Speaker 3>could be the pre on market becomes a bit more
<v Speaker 3>vibrant again. On the other hand, it could be like
<v Speaker 3>it's severe enough that and then this will be like
<v Speaker 3>wild if it happens, And I don't think so. The
<v Speaker 3>feedback or the backlash or the economic effect of that
<v Speaker 3>is severe enough that Nintendo rethinks how it does this,
<v Speaker 3>and perhaps they don't come back with a you know,
<v Speaker 3>we're cut in the cost of all games, but maybe
<v Speaker 3>they start doing like Switch two essentials, like you know,
<v Speaker 3>the PlayStation Classic style thing where it's like it's the
<v Speaker 3>same game, it's got a new it's been re released
<v Speaker 3>in a new cover, and they've just made it cheaper.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, they did not do that on the Switch. They
<v Speaker 2>did They completely did not do that on the Switch.
<v Speaker 3>No, and that was because the Switch games were continuously
<v Speaker 3>selling reasonably well enough, and then the margins they needed
<v Speaker 3>were taking care of the extreme. Yeah, however, with games
<v Speaker 3>at eighty dollars, if they look at the grass and
<v Speaker 3>they're like, oh shit, we are not hitting the numbers
<v Speaker 3>that we need to. We need to get back Nintendo
<v Speaker 3>Selects or whatever it was called back then, or you know,
<v Speaker 3>Nintendo Recommends, whatever it may be. And also, like, I
<v Speaker 3>think the ace in the hole that they have is
<v Speaker 3>being able to significantly reduce the price of the digital games,
<v Speaker 3>which I think is more likely to happen before they
<v Speaker 3>start cuting the price of the physical games. I think
<v Speaker 3>that if Nintendo wants to come into the world of
<v Speaker 3>twenty twenty five, they would start putting their games on
<v Speaker 3>discount on their digital stores, because the way they do
<v Speaker 3>it now is just like, I don't even think about
<v Speaker 3>buying games on their digital stores because I know I'm
<v Speaker 3>going to be paying full price for it, and let's
<v Speaker 3>just the third party game. I'm just like, I'm not
<v Speaker 3>even gonna If someone says to me, should I buy,
<v Speaker 3>you know, digital version of Mario car, I'm just like,
<v Speaker 3>don't do it. You're going to pay the same price
<v Speaker 3>as normal, and you'll have a digital thing you'll piss
<v Speaker 3>you off, and the experience if you buying that thing
<v Speaker 3>is going to be like pulling teeth.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's true.
<v Speaker 1>I think you're right, And I think that when we
<v Speaker 1>kind of get a year from now, we'll see that
<v Speaker 1>how we'll probably be able to look back and be like, oh, Okay.
<v Speaker 2>This is interesting.
<v Speaker 1>When we look at the timeline, here are all the
<v Speaker 1>waste Nintendo had to get creative to sort of make
<v Speaker 1>people feel good about spending a little bit of extra money,
<v Speaker 1>and I think they're going to have to.
<v Speaker 2>I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I think you're right that it won't come in the
<v Speaker 1>form of price cuts and like you know, prolonged price
<v Speaker 1>cuts for Mario Kart World or something like that, but
<v Speaker 1>more frequent sales, you know, bundles like the the the
<v Speaker 1>voucher thing could come back for the switch to and
<v Speaker 1>they say it still exists for Switch one games, but
<v Speaker 1>it could get introduced for Switch to and maybe it's
<v Speaker 1>got better pricing than we're expecting, Like it's one hundred
<v Speaker 1>dollars right now and Switch one for two games, so
<v Speaker 1>in the games are sixty dollars you get, you know,
<v Speaker 1>you save twenty bucks. Maybe doing it this way it
<v Speaker 1>saves you as much as like forty bucks, forty five
<v Speaker 1>bucks something like that. Where it's like, oh, that feels
<v Speaker 1>pretty good. I can I can make that make sense.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, right now, sitting here, it just feels
<v Speaker 1>like Nintendo's gonna see what they can get away with.
<v Speaker 1>And unless there's significant, like a significant head to like
<v Speaker 1>the sales graph for a Mario Kart that Nintendo like
<v Speaker 1>they're really scarce Nintendo, they probably won't back off very much.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, you're right, it has to be it has to
<v Speaker 3>be like the impact has to be on a Mario
<v Speaker 3>cart or an animal crossing. Yeah, or maybe a like
<v Speaker 3>uh Smash Brothers or something like that. That's where they're
<v Speaker 3>gonna be like, Oh, I wonder if they think about
<v Speaker 3>starting to do like a more robust, meaningful version of
<v Speaker 3>digital game rentals, because that could be a way to
<v Speaker 3>kind of like eat their cake and eat and you know,
<v Speaker 3>have the cake and eat it too. Where it's like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>we're gonna we're gonna charge you cheaper to have this game,
<v Speaker 3>but you only got it for a week, see you.
<v Speaker 3>It's like, okay, I want to play Mario Car for
<v Speaker 3>well this week, I can pay fifteen dollars twenty dollars.
<v Speaker 3>That could be an avenue they take and it's just
<v Speaker 3>annoying enough that they look at that and be like, oh, hell, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>that's awesome.
<v Speaker 4>Let's do that. And it will be busted as hell,
<v Speaker 4>but they'll be like, here you go, do it.
<v Speaker 2>All right, let's keep going.
<v Speaker 3>Here.
<v Speaker 1>I did clump all the Nintendo News together at the
<v Speaker 1>top of the show once again, so here we are.
<v Speaker 2>This is more like, hey, just a.
<v Speaker 1>Reminder that something that was already existing here, but Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>switched to pre order invitations from my Nintendo Store may
<v Speaker 1>begin rolling out on the eighth of May. Basically, IGN
<v Speaker 1>had a story, I think it was this morning, being like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>we know when the pre orders are happening. Now, it's
<v Speaker 1>May eighth, and that's actually just for the mind Nintendo store,
<v Speaker 1>and they said that at the time of the Nintendo
<v Speaker 1>switch to direct, they said, Hey.
<v Speaker 2>Those pre orders will begin on May eighth, like way
<v Speaker 2>back when.
<v Speaker 1>So this is nothing new, but everyone's waiting for information
<v Speaker 1>from Nintendo about when they're going to reintroduce pre orders
<v Speaker 1>to the United States and Canada for retailers, and I
<v Speaker 1>think Igiene just saw this and took it to mean, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 1>this is when that's starting. That is separate from whatever
<v Speaker 1>is going to happen with retailers. So that's just clearing
<v Speaker 1>the air. That's what they always said. Nothing has changed there,
<v Speaker 1>and in fact that you know that, apparently that never
<v Speaker 1>even got delayed because it's still up on their website
<v Speaker 1>and I think they would take that down if they
<v Speaker 1>weren't going to stick to that. But that does bring
<v Speaker 1>us back to the you know, the million dollar question
<v Speaker 1>of the moment, Tam, when do they reintroduce pre orders
<v Speaker 1>in the United States. I'm like kind of expecting them
<v Speaker 1>to say something today still, but I don't know, maybe
<v Speaker 1>they don't. It's still so confusing out there.
<v Speaker 3>No, I think if I was in that position, which
<v Speaker 3>God helped me, I hope I never am. I think
<v Speaker 3>the small thing would do. I think they're looking at
<v Speaker 3>the American market right now and looking at what's going
<v Speaker 3>on and being like this Trump guy has no fucking
<v Speaker 3>clue what he's doing.
<v Speaker 4>He seems to be just like picking his books.
<v Speaker 3>And eating them and just like doing whatever until he's
<v Speaker 3>like just backtracking on anything.
<v Speaker 1>I think the Booger readers I know, I know two
<v Speaker 1>of them, they are much more well put together than
<v Speaker 1>down Donald Trump.
<v Speaker 4>That guy, Yeah, he's looking great. He might be cooked soon,
<v Speaker 4>you know.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I saw him.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, I was like, oh, man, is he okay?
<v Speaker 1>I mean that I heard him talking too, and I
<v Speaker 1>definitely got that sense as well, where he's just like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>he seems beaten up.
<v Speaker 2>And I think it was really the Bond news.
<v Speaker 1>I think really, so we probably send down and explained
<v Speaker 1>it to him, and I think mostly it just confused him.
<v Speaker 2>So he just felt terrible afterward.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>I think also like the Hollywood movie stuff is also
<v Speaker 3>going to be a major issue for them, Like I
<v Speaker 3>think like he's now got all the things that people
<v Speaker 3>that he thinks are cool coming up to him being like,
<v Speaker 3>what you're doing, You're killing all movies at a point
<v Speaker 3>that I imagine, I imagine they're gonna wait until they
<v Speaker 3>feel like there's some actual like settle settlement in the
<v Speaker 3>economic kind of up people that is happening right now
<v Speaker 3>because they're very much side showed Bob in a field
<v Speaker 3>of breaks right now potentially where they can't really everywhere
<v Speaker 3>they turn they're going to get hit by one of
<v Speaker 3>them in the face. So they need to just stay
<v Speaker 3>put for now and see, like when when he's done
<v Speaker 3>being a moron, that's when they're going to be like, Okay,
<v Speaker 3>we can make a move now.
<v Speaker 4>That could be a month from now, it could be
<v Speaker 4>a few weeks from now, who knows.
<v Speaker 3>But I think they very much are trying not to
<v Speaker 3>jump the gun, as it were, which is a small
<v Speaker 3>way to approach it. And it's frustrating for us as
<v Speaker 3>people who want to buy that thing and black Kennel
<v Speaker 3>pri orders and stuff but yeah, I think it'll be
<v Speaker 3>a while.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I think the only trouble there, Tam is, you know,
<v Speaker 1>they can wait a little bit longer, but he could
<v Speaker 1>then swing back.
<v Speaker 2>The other way.
<v Speaker 1>I really they don't have much of a choice here.
<v Speaker 1>I think they probably have to like wait for the
<v Speaker 1>dust to settle, but maybe only after a couple.
<v Speaker 2>Of days of settlement. They have to sort of just
<v Speaker 2>say something because.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, if they wait a couple of weeks, we
<v Speaker 1>are getting closer every day to June fifth, that's the
<v Speaker 1>release date. You know, that's you know, under two months away.
<v Speaker 1>But every other country's pre orders have happened except for Canada,
<v Speaker 1>and so they want to get those numbers in there
<v Speaker 1>so they know what to do with shipments. Although it
<v Speaker 1>does seem like yesterday we talked about they're just shipping
<v Speaker 1>every switch to the make in Vietnam to the United States.
<v Speaker 1>That's probably their immediate answer of let's get in every
<v Speaker 1>everything we can at ten percent tariffs. That's gonna be
<v Speaker 1>sort of the lowest fee we can pay, and then
<v Speaker 1>we'll just figure it out from there once we like,
<v Speaker 1>once you know, as you said, everything is settled.
<v Speaker 2>Do you think, like I don't.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't know how this plays out, but like,
<v Speaker 1>do you think what they are hoping for is the
<v Speaker 1>dust settles on the terraff stuff, and then he gets
<v Speaker 1>distracted by something else, and like once he starts running
<v Speaker 1>in that direction and chasing that truck as like a
<v Speaker 1>mindless dog, they can go, Okay, he's his mind is
<v Speaker 1>off tariffs for now, so maybe like that will keep
<v Speaker 1>him distracted for long enough they'll just forget he was
<v Speaker 1>ever doing that and we can maybe make a decision
<v Speaker 1>at that point.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know if he I don't know if they're
<v Speaker 3>counting on him forgetting you know, I think what they're
<v Speaker 3>counting on him doing is, or what they're counting on happening,
<v Speaker 3>is him believing that the kind of pee aujuice that
<v Speaker 3>he can get out of tariffs has run out, right,
<v Speaker 3>and now he needs to move to it because he's
<v Speaker 3>not really doing anything. He's just trying to affect changes
<v Speaker 3>and then giving himself little trophies to say, look what
<v Speaker 3>I did right, so that when he's done, people can
<v Speaker 3>look at a list of shit that he did, and
<v Speaker 3>people are stupid enough to try and argue in favor
<v Speaker 3>of that stuff because you know, they've brainwashed as a
<v Speaker 3>cult at this point. So I think he's going to
<v Speaker 3>get to the point where he's like, all right, I
<v Speaker 3>got no more, I got no more ability to you know,
<v Speaker 3>milk this for some like positive pr or like it
<v Speaker 3>doesn't make me feel like I'm I'm affecting the world
<v Speaker 3>in any meaningful way now, or you know, the people
<v Speaker 3>who the billionaires that want to like crash the market
<v Speaker 3>and buy up the things that they want to buy
<v Speaker 3>up are done, and and like he's moved on to
<v Speaker 3>something else, so I expect their weight and like and
<v Speaker 3>once he is like off doing other things is like
<v Speaker 3>terrorizing some other crucial part of the world industry, that's
<v Speaker 3>when they're going to be like, okay, cool.
<v Speaker 2>Yep, it's a good point.
<v Speaker 1>Like I think maybe they're waiting for the sort of
<v Speaker 1>union of these countries coming together and finding a way
<v Speaker 1>to convince Trump that he has one and can declare victory.
<v Speaker 1>And then you're right, he'll want to move on at
<v Speaker 1>that point. And you know, maybe that's happening within his
<v Speaker 1>own team, Like his own team is completely incompetent, but
<v Speaker 1>they really at least recognize it is that this hasn't
<v Speaker 1>worked and they know that he just wants to declare victory,
<v Speaker 1>So maybe that's what they're working toward. And at that moment,
<v Speaker 1>I think they probably can feel a little bit safer.
<v Speaker 1>But you're right, for now, it is so dangerous to
<v Speaker 1>make any sort of declaration because you don't want to
<v Speaker 1>be held to what you say now if the environment changes,
<v Speaker 1>like in a one hundred and eighty degree direction in.
<v Speaker 2>The next couple of days.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, all right.
<v Speaker 1>N tak to Switch Online is adding three Sega Genesis classics.
<v Speaker 1>This is from Kevin Conzivic. Is that how you say that,
<v Speaker 1>You're how.
<v Speaker 2>To say in the zebec?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, kinetic, I believe it isetic.
<v Speaker 2>Thank you very much.
<v Speaker 4>This is I've been working.
<v Speaker 3>I've known Kevin for so many years and I have
<v Speaker 3>managed him as well, and the amount of times I've
<v Speaker 3>got his name wrong.
<v Speaker 4>To his face is embarrassed.
<v Speaker 2>Well, we're sorry, Kevin. But over in games there we go.
<v Speaker 1>That looks right, Kenzvik Over at game Spot, he says.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo has added a new batch of classic games for
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack subscribers. Three more Sega
<v Speaker 1>Genesis titles are now available to play through the service.
<v Speaker 1>Streets of Rage, Super Thunderblade, and East Swatt City under Siege.
<v Speaker 1>This is Streets of Rage one.
<v Speaker 2>That's still a pretty good game. It's no Streets of
<v Speaker 2>Rage two, but I like it quite a bit.
<v Speaker 4>What's that I'm gonna playing streets all right?
<v Speaker 2>That's I.
<v Speaker 1>I get excited about this all the time, and then
<v Speaker 1>I always end up playing these games on one of
<v Speaker 1>those other devices that I have, which hey, yeah, man,
<v Speaker 1>that that's the you said, the MEU handheld one.
<v Speaker 4>This is the me you flip, Yeah, the me Flip.
<v Speaker 3>It's smaller than the Ambernik r g x X whatever
<v Speaker 3>it's called, which is also the game Boy sp Style one,
<v Speaker 3>but it's a little more powerful, and it's got the
<v Speaker 3>uh it's going the little nubs.
<v Speaker 2>Yep.
<v Speaker 4>Some illegal play session games on the right actually.
<v Speaker 2>Run in sixty four on that thing, and it makes
<v Speaker 2>a little bit of sense there you go.
<v Speaker 1>Anyway, Yeah, that's you know, mostly notable because this is
<v Speaker 1>another batch of Genesis games. They did a batch about
<v Speaker 1>five months ago, back in November. Shout us to Marino
<v Speaker 1>for reminding me of that, and that is that was
<v Speaker 1>the first drop for Genesis on NSO in quite some time.
<v Speaker 1>So it's like, oh, Okay, Sega and Nintendo still are
<v Speaker 1>making deals to add stuff to the Sega stuff here.
<v Speaker 1>I get my hopes up, Tam that maybe on switch
<v Speaker 1>to they could introduce like a Sega Saturn console to
<v Speaker 1>Nso at some point, Yeah, you're shaking your head, you
<v Speaker 1>don't think so. I'm definitely it's definitely opium on my side.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, tell me what massive opium.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I don't. I don't think so. I also don't
<v Speaker 3>think that. I think mainly because like there's not enough
<v Speaker 3>of a market of people who are going to be like,
<v Speaker 3>oh yes, finally saturin games other than like us widows
<v Speaker 3>like that are into it. Like the average person who's
<v Speaker 3>got a Nintendo Switch probably doesn't even know that Sega
<v Speaker 3>made consoles at one point.
<v Speaker 2>Jesus Christ.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, okay, yeah, you're especially Saturn, like that's a forgotten
<v Speaker 1>console display. I mean, I know that's weird for me
<v Speaker 1>to say kinds of people listening to this show, but
<v Speaker 1>you're right, it's just not something like Dreamcast gets brought
<v Speaker 1>up all the time. Sure Genesis obviously, Saturn is you know,
<v Speaker 1>almost as forgotten as like a thirty two X.
<v Speaker 2>Not quite that bad, but yeah, it's on that level
<v Speaker 2>almost badly.
<v Speaker 3>Well then how about Dreamcast then I think dream Cost
<v Speaker 3>is a decent bad An issue with Dreamcast is the
<v Speaker 3>dream Cost games that matter I think have come out
<v Speaker 3>in other places. That's true to a degree, Like I
<v Speaker 3>guess like shen Mu has been re released, right, like.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, can you buy shin Mu? And like Sky's Arcadia
<v Speaker 2>on the Switch, I don't, I can't remember.
<v Speaker 3>Arcadia is not the one that you can buy like
<v Speaker 3>I mean, like Powerstone is coming out very soon.
<v Speaker 2>Good point. Yeah, man, I'm so excited about that. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, like the street Fight games, the Strike is available
<v Speaker 3>everywhere pretty much like Daytona. I don't know who wants
<v Speaker 3>to play Daytona. They day in age on this which
<v Speaker 3>like a few of us might be up for that.
<v Speaker 3>But yeah, I can't look ready to rumble.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, I I'm still gonna. I think there's a chance
<v Speaker 1>that something happens with Sega, but it's pretty low And
<v Speaker 1>I think I mostly just because Nintendo is gonna want
<v Speaker 1>to slowly increase the sort of appeal of Nintendo Switch
<v Speaker 1>Online over time, and they're only gonna be able to
<v Speaker 1>do so much with their own stuff at a certain point.
<v Speaker 2>And adding like you know, a Tetris ninety nine like game.
<v Speaker 1>They do that every once in a while, but that
<v Speaker 1>doesn't seem like their go to move and they seem
<v Speaker 1>to have a good relationship with Sega. So maybe something
<v Speaker 1>does happen there, But I I think it's a small chance.
<v Speaker 1>Like I said, yeah, much more likely that it won't happen.
<v Speaker 1>All right, let's see here, let's hit this last Nintendo story.
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo finally answers the question of why it doesn't use
<v Speaker 1>analog triggers on the Nintendo's Switch two or or why
<v Speaker 1>it didn't use it on the Switch one either. This
<v Speaker 1>is from Alberto Garrido at Game Reactor. One of the
<v Speaker 1>most talked about issues in the Nintendo switch to switches
<v Speaker 1>for full reveal in terms of its design to design
<v Speaker 1>excuse me, design decisions, has been the absence of analog
<v Speaker 1>triggers and buttons on the joy Con and also on
<v Speaker 1>the consoles pro controller. And I don't think I never
<v Speaker 1>heard of anyone talk about this except for me maybe once. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't think many people are actually talking about this,
<v Speaker 1>but I do care about it. Switch To's lead designer
<v Speaker 1>Kochi Kawamoto and Tetsua Sazaki producer and technical technical director
<v Speaker 1>respectively addressed this and other questions about the console's design
<v Speaker 1>and ecosystem during the post event press conference, which Venture
<v Speaker 1>Beats games Beat has transcribed in full. On the subject
<v Speaker 1>of analog triggers, Kawamoto noted that there were many developers
<v Speaker 1>who insisted on them, but that the balance of positives
<v Speaker 1>and negatives ultimately decided them in favor of digital triggers.
<v Speaker 2>Here's the quote.
<v Speaker 1>In terms of analog buttons on the shoulders, there were
<v Speaker 1>there are positives, but also so negatives. You lose a
<v Speaker 1>little bit of instancy when they're analog. We considered it
<v Speaker 1>and decided that instant input would be a better option.
<v Speaker 1>That's why we decided to move forward with this decision.
<v Speaker 1>So it's just about that thing that, like I've heard
<v Speaker 1>people mentioned before. I think Shawn's even said like he
<v Speaker 1>doesn't really like analog shoulder triggers, so he does want
<v Speaker 1>it to instantly click in place, And I get that
<v Speaker 1>that's true. I just there are maybe solutions to that,
<v Speaker 1>and then there are gonna be games on like GameCubes,
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Switch Online that are gonna feel a little bit
<v Speaker 1>weird because you don't have analog triggers, and I like
<v Speaker 1>racing games with analog triggers, like the kind of feather things.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, I mean, it wasn't that much of a
<v Speaker 1>problem on Switch one, and now they're kind of keeping
<v Speaker 1>the same exact control scheme that they have with the
<v Speaker 1>Switch one on the switch to So I'm I'm not surprised,
<v Speaker 1>just maybe a little annoyed, But this dides sound right
<v Speaker 1>to you. Do you like the instant press of a
<v Speaker 1>shoulder trigger more.
<v Speaker 4>Than a yeah?
<v Speaker 3>I like the gradual press. It feels good when you do. Also,
<v Speaker 3>like they can't think of many games that they would
<v Speaker 3>implement that in. And at certain point, I'm okay with
<v Speaker 3>Nintendo not distracting themselves with too much because I feel
<v Speaker 3>like they are liable to start like getting goofy with
<v Speaker 3>stuff and making dumb shit that no one actually cares about.
<v Speaker 3>It's like we could have like the you know, the
<v Speaker 3>analog style, and then before you know it, we've got
<v Speaker 3>like an entire game being built around it squeezing a
<v Speaker 3>trigger slowly, and we're like, we didn't want this, man,
<v Speaker 3>we just wanted it.
<v Speaker 4>We just wanted to be able to like.
<v Speaker 3>Carefully shoot in a first buzy shoe or whatever.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, so I'm.
<v Speaker 4>Okay with it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, in my head, like gink You was the first
<v Speaker 1>one with analog triggers, but I think I think the
<v Speaker 1>PlayStation two had analog buttons, but it was like how
<v Speaker 1>hard you pressed it is how they measured it, So
<v Speaker 1>it just didn't feel the game exactly the same.
<v Speaker 3>But I can't kind of button down on the two
<v Speaker 3>to aim in first person and then if you slowly
<v Speaker 3>let go, you would hold stay your gun without shooting, right.
<v Speaker 3>I remember doing that and being like, this is the
<v Speaker 3>this the best games will ever be is never getting
<v Speaker 3>beat than this, And you were right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's right.
<v Speaker 1>No one knows a yeah, oh well it's it's a shame.
<v Speaker 1>But that means, you know, when they put a Trials
<v Speaker 1>game on switch to, I'm just not gonna be able
<v Speaker 1>to play it there. I'll have to play it somewhere else.
<v Speaker 1>Oh well, all right, let's take a quick break. When
<v Speaker 1>we come back, plenty more to talk about. We got
<v Speaker 1>a pull question. We got to get to all that
<v Speaker 1>and more. Me and Tam will be back right after this.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we're back into it. I almost forgot that
<v Speaker 1>I'm running the show today, so I almost just let
<v Speaker 1>us sitting there until it faded out tam and then
<v Speaker 1>nothing happened. Then I pressed the button pretty late, but hey,
<v Speaker 1>we're back and we're back into it with Minecraft player numbers,
<v Speaker 1>and they leaped by over thirty percent in line with
<v Speaker 1>the Minecraft movie premiere. This is from Ben Lyons at
<v Speaker 1>Game Reactor. It's a pretty common understanding that when a
<v Speaker 1>video game adaptation arrives, be it a movie or a
<v Speaker 1>big television series, it typically has an impact on the
<v Speaker 1>game it's based on. We saw that with Sonic Cross
<v Speaker 1>Shadow Generations getting a player boost when Sonic the Hedgehog
<v Speaker 1>three premiered, and now we're seeing the same happen again
<v Speaker 1>with Minecraft. As per the Game Business, it's noted that
<v Speaker 1>the Minecraft player figures have leaped by around thirty percent
<v Speaker 1>during the A Minecraft Movie premiere period.
<v Speaker 2>I hate that. I hate what's called the A Minecraft Movie. Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>but it jumped because the movie came out.
<v Speaker 1>This is something with the synergy you know that the
<v Speaker 1>corporations love has worked repeatedly now, and this is a
<v Speaker 1>reason I think we're just gonna keep seeing more and
<v Speaker 1>more video game movies because it had It doesn't work
<v Speaker 1>in every situation, right, I think border Lands, you know,
<v Speaker 1>being a terrible movie. Obviously that didn't help, but we've
<v Speaker 1>also seen some bad video game movies help boost player numbers,
<v Speaker 1>and that situation, it just was such a train wreck.
<v Speaker 1>It didn't But if a movie's like decent, so it's
<v Speaker 1>just kind of like entertaining just for kids in the
<v Speaker 1>way the Minecraft movie sounds to be seems like it's
<v Speaker 1>getting the job done, and the job specific is raising
<v Speaker 1>the awareness of the brand, getting people to care about
<v Speaker 1>it again, and getting people playing it again. So I
<v Speaker 1>think it's going to be the kind of thing that
<v Speaker 1>these companies are looking to make deals to get done repeatedly.
<v Speaker 2>In the future.
<v Speaker 4>It is that any different from what it used to be?
<v Speaker 2>The same?
<v Speaker 3>Right, Like that was always the intent behind these movies.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think it actually worked until what was the
<v Speaker 1>was it a Netflix show? One of the Netflix shows
<v Speaker 1>really popped off and I'm trying to remember what game
<v Speaker 1>it was where it's like this made a huge difference
<v Speaker 1>and Witcher it was Witcher Actually Witcher's first like the
<v Speaker 1>best year outside of its launch year was the year
<v Speaker 1>that the TV show premiered, and then since then we've
<v Speaker 1>seen it repeatedly hit where a Big Video, Yes exactly,
<v Speaker 1>and you know the Fallout Show, same like that before
<v Speaker 1>you know Witcher on Netflix. It's like, you know, they
<v Speaker 1>had tried to do this and it just didn't.
<v Speaker 2>It never really took.
<v Speaker 1>But it just seems like maybe the audience have aligned
<v Speaker 1>in such a way that the primary people consuming streaming
<v Speaker 1>media and movies are of an age of they Oh,
<v Speaker 1>they also very likely play video games, or at least
<v Speaker 1>a certain portion of them do, and it's paying off now.
<v Speaker 3>I also feel like the quality of the tie ins
<v Speaker 3>are much better these days, Like Edge Rouns was excellent,
<v Speaker 3>theson one of which it was some people liked it,
<v Speaker 3>and like Hustlevania has been great, Like I really like
<v Speaker 3>Devil May Cry and I have no intention to watch Minecraft,
<v Speaker 3>but I hear the kids that like Minecraft like it.
<v Speaker 3>I've also seen some tiktoks of people watching it in
<v Speaker 3>the theater, of course, and it looks like Hell on Earth.
<v Speaker 2>Explain I think what's happening.
<v Speaker 3>The stuff I saw felt like just illegal, like straight
<v Speaker 3>up illegal. Well, like people were like standing on each
<v Speaker 3>other's shoulders and screaming and throwing stuff, and at one
<v Speaker 3>point a chicken was involved than an actual chicken shoot Chicken,
<v Speaker 3>an actual chicken. A shoot Chicken appeared and I was like,
<v Speaker 3>I would murder every single person in this screening if
<v Speaker 3>I was there. It was it was like food being thrown.
<v Speaker 3>People just like screaming NonStop. And also I think the
<v Speaker 3>movie is like it's just a series of Minecraft references.
<v Speaker 2>In the way that character.
<v Speaker 3>That's a creeper, Yeah, he says creeper, and then like
<v Speaker 3>everyone starts screaming and it's.
<v Speaker 4>Just like, oh my god, this is crazy. I don't know,
<v Speaker 4>but like, I don't know, it seems to be working.
<v Speaker 3>I think that the idea is I think what people
<v Speaker 3>are learning, or what the Hollywood industry is learning, is
<v Speaker 3>that you should take the games that are targeted at
<v Speaker 3>young people because then you don't have to be particularly
<v Speaker 3>sophisticated and how you execute on that stuff. Because for us,
<v Speaker 3>like we go watch a Minecraft movie, if it sucks,
<v Speaker 3>unless you're Mitch Minotti, you come out and you're like, yeah, whatever,
<v Speaker 3>he's probably crying because it sucks or something like that.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know. I don't know what.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know what babies like him do anymore, right, yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>Whereas we just move on with our lives we'd be like,
<v Speaker 3>all right, we're gonna give a show. If I want
<v Speaker 3>to play Minecraft, I go play Minecraft.
<v Speaker 4>I don't care.
<v Speaker 3>But like back in the day it feels like oh,
<v Speaker 3>Silent Hill came out and or like Resident Evil came
<v Speaker 3>out and the Resident Evil movie stucks, we'd be like, pitchforks,
<v Speaker 3>We're going to Japan. We're gonna poke Capcom execs in
<v Speaker 3>the ass like to make this better. Like I think
<v Speaker 3>they they've realized, Oh, let's let's focus on the kids, adapt.
<v Speaker 4>The things that they like.
<v Speaker 3>Maybe we can throw in a few things for the
<v Speaker 3>adults who might be like, I don't know that one.
<v Speaker 3>But for the most part, you just focus on kids
<v Speaker 3>and the quality bar doesn't have to be super high.
<v Speaker 3>Based on what I've seen of that Minecraft movie, it
<v Speaker 3>looks like it will make me want to video game myself,
<v Speaker 3>and I'm not gonna be watching it because of that.
<v Speaker 3>But I wouldn't be surprised if there's like a I
<v Speaker 3>don't know, Fall Guys movie and it's just those bean
<v Speaker 3>fucking things just falling off platforms for about an hour
<v Speaker 3>and a half and everyone going.
<v Speaker 4>Ah, it's great, yeah, great.
<v Speaker 3>Whatever a Fortnite movie is inevitable, and I think it's
<v Speaker 3>just going to be like a series of dances and
<v Speaker 3>chug chugs being used or whatever it makes you stars
<v Speaker 3>in the Fortnite movie, Jack Black as Fortnite, Jack Black
<v Speaker 3>as the Ring.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, I was in the executive.
<v Speaker 3>If I was an executive, I would be like, all right,
<v Speaker 3>we do the ring thing, but we make the ring
<v Speaker 3>assent here at ring and his voice by Jack Black.
<v Speaker 4>There you go.
<v Speaker 2>I actually I think I would.
<v Speaker 1>Go to the movie and see it just so I
<v Speaker 1>could scream every time Jack Black named a Fortnite reference.
<v Speaker 2>So, okay, I think the list of games that that
<v Speaker 2>this has worked with games.
<v Speaker 3>Like most video game kids movies these days are just
<v Speaker 3>Jamanji in various forms, Yes, because like, isn't the Minecraft.
<v Speaker 3>It is just I read the snobs. I was like,
<v Speaker 3>this is asked Jamunji.
<v Speaker 1>That's what this is, and like that that if Jumanji won,
<v Speaker 1>that was a video game, because the updated Jumanji is
<v Speaker 1>like based on the know it being a video game is.
<v Speaker 2>An incredible movie. It's fantastic. It's such a good adventure movie.
<v Speaker 3>It rules.
<v Speaker 2>It's so good.
<v Speaker 1>And the idea that all these video game movies that
<v Speaker 1>are just aping that can't get it nearly as well done.
<v Speaker 2>Is not chicking.
<v Speaker 3>It's a much smarter way because you don't have to
<v Speaker 3>adapt the movie. You just say, these characters fell into
<v Speaker 3>the game yep. Like you don't have to adapt them
<v Speaker 3>into like making them work in real life. You just
<v Speaker 3>be like, oh no, these kids got sucked into Eskai
<v Speaker 3>World version of Minecraft.
<v Speaker 4>What's gonna happen now?
<v Speaker 3>And then it just does not have to make any
<v Speaker 3>sense at all, and you don't have to work hard
<v Speaker 3>to like reinterpret anything or anything like that.
<v Speaker 1>It's solved so many like annoying screenwriting problems they don't
<v Speaker 1>want to deal with. It's like some people are not
<v Speaker 1>going to know what any of this stuff is. How
<v Speaker 1>do we explain it? Well, the characters don't know, so
<v Speaker 1>someone has to say chicken Jockey or whatever that fuck.
<v Speaker 2>He says, I don't know chicken Jockey.
<v Speaker 3>I saw a clip of Chicken Jockey, and I let
<v Speaker 3>me tell you, I'm playing much Minecraft in the same sense.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think whatever that thing was.
<v Speaker 3>This is the kind of pop off, like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 3>what's going on this?
<v Speaker 1>The list of games this has worked with I've been
<v Speaker 1>they're all kind of big games, right, I think there
<v Speaker 1>is like probably a tier, like a below the fold
<v Speaker 1>list of games that don't get this bump, Like do
<v Speaker 1>you think Grand Trismo got a bump in players?
<v Speaker 2>Because I don't remember hearing that when that movie.
<v Speaker 3>Came out, right, No, shot not happen in no way, right,
<v Speaker 3>So and you know, not the.
<v Speaker 1>Great trismosm big. But that's what I mean, like even
<v Speaker 1>something that is big but not you know, Fortnite, Minecraft Witcher. Uh,
<v Speaker 1>It's it's just kind of a different thing. So I
<v Speaker 1>wonder if Hollywood's gonna like look at all of these
<v Speaker 1>video game properties, and they are always looking for properties,
<v Speaker 1>so there's other reasons other than like the synergistic elements
<v Speaker 1>whatever that they want to go and make movies based
<v Speaker 1>on video games. But I wonder if, like we're not
<v Speaker 1>gonna see this repeated infinitely, but with Fortnite, clearly that'll
<v Speaker 1>be a big thing.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, I'll be a thing.
<v Speaker 3>I'm interesting to see what happened to the kind of
<v Speaker 3>like video game to movie, movie to video game adaptation pipeline,
<v Speaker 3>because there is some potentially interesting that could happen. Like
<v Speaker 3>if I was in like the Star Wars executive room,
<v Speaker 3>I'd be looking at how to adapt Jedi fall in
<v Speaker 3>order right now, like or Respawns games, and being like
<v Speaker 3>this stuff works, like thist, this is a better story
<v Speaker 3>than we have told in our actual Star Wars movies
<v Speaker 3>for a long time, so maybe we should think about that.
<v Speaker 3>And they're also like because of the way the games
<v Speaker 3>are made these days, like they have a Calcusters ready
<v Speaker 3>to go, like he's the dude.
<v Speaker 4>Who plays him in the fucking in the game. There
<v Speaker 4>you go easy.
<v Speaker 3>But I'm also interested to see whether people start doing
<v Speaker 3>kind of like video game adaptations that aren't just like
<v Speaker 3>kids Ship, where they do they try and do like
<v Speaker 3>a you know, teenage to adult kind of video game series,
<v Speaker 3>like a I don't know, like a Grand Theft or
<v Speaker 3>All Star thing. Not rock Star will never let that happen,
<v Speaker 3>but you know, like go back to the era where
<v Speaker 3>Max Pain gets another shot.
<v Speaker 4>Or something like that.
<v Speaker 3>You know, I don't think there's enough Personally, I would
<v Speaker 3>love to see that, Like I want to see like
<v Speaker 3>a Gives a War movie get made, but I just
<v Speaker 3>don't think the return on that is high enough because
<v Speaker 3>there's a lot of kids and the quality bar is
<v Speaker 3>on the floor, so you can just get away with
<v Speaker 3>any dog shit and they'll be like, yeah, this is fantastic.
<v Speaker 2>Yep. And honestly, I think they kind of just want
<v Speaker 2>trash because you know, I don't know if you've seen
<v Speaker 2>the YouTube videos they watch, they the trash is the top,
<v Speaker 2>like that's what they care about. The trash here it is,
<v Speaker 2>the better it is to them.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, the thing that the thing that we don't
<v Speaker 3>realize is the kids, the next generation kids, they're just
<v Speaker 3>gonna be all about slop. Yes, slop is going to
<v Speaker 3>be like there will be no quality bar for them.
<v Speaker 3>They're just gonna be like, give them a slop. I
<v Speaker 3>don't give a ship one bit.
<v Speaker 4>Mostly how that goes rising a death stranding movie, maybe
<v Speaker 4>that would be the one.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, there you go, that'll save everything, all right, last
<v Speaker 1>sampful of stories. It seems like more Activision classics are
<v Speaker 1>headed to game Pass. From Jonas Mackie at Game Reactor,
<v Speaker 1>Microsoft hasn't been very quick in its efforts to bring
<v Speaker 1>Activision Blizzards huge library to game Pass, but now it
<v Speaker 1>seems that three new games are in the pipeline. Pure
<v Speaker 1>Xbox notes that the Microsoft store pages for Call of
<v Speaker 1>Duty World at War Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and
<v Speaker 1>Tony Hawk's pro Skater one plus two now all have
<v Speaker 1>banners labeled included with game Pass. Yeah, it's like Tonyoks
<v Speaker 1>pro Skater one plus two should have been on there
<v Speaker 1>forever ago.
<v Speaker 2>What is happening?
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, yeah, they have taken their time, and I
<v Speaker 1>suppose part of that it's just like, let's just make
<v Speaker 1>this a deliberate process. But I think personally, I was
<v Speaker 1>expecting they would just drop a ton of Activision games
<v Speaker 1>in huge batches onto game Pass, and they haven't done
<v Speaker 1>that so far, So I guess better something than nothing
<v Speaker 1>at a certain point. Yeah, Toys or Bob is interested
<v Speaker 1>in bringing back Banjo Kazui.
<v Speaker 2>This my Nintendo news. Let's see here.
<v Speaker 1>The Toys or Bob co studio head and creative director
<v Speaker 1>Paul Yan spoke about it in an interview with YouTuber
<v Speaker 1>Canadian guy A, saying that one company we'd like to
<v Speaker 1>work with is one we're already working with, Team Xbox.
<v Speaker 1>They've been a great partner, and they also have a
<v Speaker 1>very interesting roster of characters that Toys for Bob could
<v Speaker 1>have a lot of fun with. The honey Bear is
<v Speaker 1>the first one that comes to mind. I think we
<v Speaker 1>could all agree Banjo has been hibernating long enough. Right now, No, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>well listen, I know you want to bury Banjo. I
<v Speaker 1>get that, but let me let me ask you first.
<v Speaker 1>Did you do you think that this is him teasing
<v Speaker 1>anything or do you think this is an indication that
<v Speaker 1>he's clearly not working on Banjo because he's saying it
<v Speaker 1>would be nice to work on banjo.
<v Speaker 3>I think they're efficient to try and get another project early. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>it's nice to work. Yeah, it would be nice to
<v Speaker 3>I think they's just switch to making like more mature games. Okay,
<v Speaker 3>they're done with kids game and that your rebrand has
<v Speaker 3>toys for Robert and just make more you know, adult
<v Speaker 3>focus games.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it's a good joke, Tam. I'm still mad
<v Speaker 2>about it, though, I don't have to be happy about it.
<v Speaker 1>Shit, they so instead of remaking Banjo, that can remake
<v Speaker 1>Conquers bad for a day, or that's just like.
<v Speaker 4>The actual okay, perfect perfect.
<v Speaker 3>I do wonder because they mentioned the Big miighty Poo
<v Speaker 3>rendered an unreal engine.
<v Speaker 4>That ship.
<v Speaker 3>You want to talk about slop, that's the only slop
<v Speaker 3>I'm interested.
<v Speaker 2>That's you know what that is?
<v Speaker 4>That's real shit, that's the real ship.
<v Speaker 2>I'm sorry everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Uh yeah, I I do wonder what they're working on,
<v Speaker 1>because they did they got uh they were able to
<v Speaker 1>like leave Microsoft after the acquisition. They were part of
<v Speaker 1>Activision and then immediately after that, basically they were like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>we're going out on our own, We're buying our way
<v Speaker 1>out of Microsoft, and we're gonna and you know, then
<v Speaker 1>the first thing that I announced is and then we
<v Speaker 1>have a deal to make a game with Microsoft, and
<v Speaker 1>we still don't know what that is. There were rumors
<v Speaker 1>about what it was, but I can't pull those to
<v Speaker 1>mine right now. It was probably just like a new
<v Speaker 1>Spiro game or something like that.
<v Speaker 2>But you know whatever, I'll take.
<v Speaker 4>A new spiral game. Give us a new Spiral game.
<v Speaker 4>I love that.
<v Speaker 2>I like Spiro better than crash Bandicoot personally, so yes,
<v Speaker 2>I'm with you.
<v Speaker 4>I was more of a crash Bandicoot person I.
<v Speaker 2>Think Crashmandicoot's a cool, cooler character. The man where s Georts.
<v Speaker 2>He's not a man, but he wears Georts like a man.
<v Speaker 3>You can't say crash Bendicoot was a cool character and
<v Speaker 3>immediately say he wears George Listens.
<v Speaker 2>Cool all right, him with John ci did so much
<v Speaker 2>work for the Georgs community.
<v Speaker 3>Oh man, did you This is a complete tangent, But
<v Speaker 3>I watched the super Ipatch Wolf's wrestling video yesterday. It's
<v Speaker 3>like two and a half hours long, the entire story
<v Speaker 3>of like Dusty Roads all the way up to Cody
<v Speaker 3>Roads and wear like Roman Reins and the Shield. And
<v Speaker 3>I'm saying all the stuff, I haven't watched wrestling in
<v Speaker 3>fifty years. Yeah, I'm only I'm only thirty nine years old.
<v Speaker 3>I'm only saying it's five years old. But like by
<v Speaker 3>the end of that.
<v Speaker 4>Video, I was basically crying. I was like, oh my god,
<v Speaker 4>this is why wrestling is so good.
<v Speaker 3>I was like, why am I talking about I don't
<v Speaker 3>watch wrestling of it, but everyone should watch that video.
<v Speaker 4>It's incredible.
<v Speaker 2>I love Dusty. Okay, I'm gonna watch that video. That
<v Speaker 2>sounds incredible.
<v Speaker 1>Finally, Amazon's tomb Raider series could be dead. But mostly
<v Speaker 1>I just want to point out, like what happened here
<v Speaker 1>was apparently they've had tens of millions that were spent
<v Speaker 1>on this project and it's being and it could be
<v Speaker 1>dead because after spending all that money, they don't have
<v Speaker 1>a script, Tam, Where does.
<v Speaker 2>The money go?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Where is that?
<v Speaker 4>Where is that money going?
<v Speaker 2>Would script? Personally?
<v Speaker 3>I think there is a a hard drive with thousands
<v Speaker 3>and thousands of terabytes worth of Laura Croft's sketches. It's
<v Speaker 3>just different, different sized asses. They spent millions on that.
<v Speaker 3>They were just like, we gave them money and they
<v Speaker 3>kept straying different kinds of boobs. It was unacceptable. And
<v Speaker 3>they're like, oh, here's a version with with the p
<v Speaker 3>S one polygonal boobs. Should we try this one? No?
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what they're doing with that money. Man,
<v Speaker 4>hit me up, I'll write you a script.
<v Speaker 3>I know how Laura.
<v Speaker 4>I know how Laura Croft's her stuff.
<v Speaker 2>I guess Phoebe Wallerbridge and Donald Glover were originally supposed
<v Speaker 2>to write something, but then after mister and Missus.
<v Speaker 4>Glover as Laura Croft would be incredible.
<v Speaker 2>I think that's always who I pictured in my head obviously.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>They apparently worked on Mister and Missus Smith, the Amazon
<v Speaker 1>reboot series, and then they had a what he called
<v Speaker 1>a creative divorce. So maybe they've just paid them a
<v Speaker 1>lot to talk to each other and then no script.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know it seems like a bad way to
<v Speaker 1>do business.
<v Speaker 2>But what do I know. I've never made anything in Hollywood,
<v Speaker 2>all right, yeah, I and I didn't need a tomb
<v Speaker 2>Raider movie series or anything like that. I'm good.
<v Speaker 3>Well, I went to the I went to the set
<v Speaker 3>of that last one, the the one with what's her
<v Speaker 3>name in it? The candor, Yeah, Alicia of Acanda. I
<v Speaker 3>went to the set a set visit for that, and
<v Speaker 3>then I didn't.
<v Speaker 4>Watch the movie.
<v Speaker 2>Have I ever seen the movie? Have you ever seen it?
<v Speaker 4>I've seen No, I've not seen the Listia of Acanda one.
<v Speaker 3>No. I watched the first Angela and Joe, and I
<v Speaker 3>was like, this is awful. Why am I watching this?
<v Speaker 3>And I was just like, even Angelina and Joelie doesn't
<v Speaker 3>look good in the movie. She looks like weird. And
<v Speaker 3>I was like, I'm out of here, man, I'm done.
<v Speaker 2>All right.
<v Speaker 3>I was just so I should have been like peak
<v Speaker 3>horny at that point, so.
<v Speaker 2>The hornings should have got you over all the other problems.
<v Speaker 4>I was like, this is a disgrace. You're telling me
<v Speaker 4>these are the people that made the solar Eva. Fuck off?
<v Speaker 2>All right, we got a pull question.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see here, this is from yesterday, do you expect
<v Speaker 1>a switch to price increase?
<v Speaker 2>Now?
<v Speaker 1>This was after the you know pause on tariffs, which
<v Speaker 1>is really just a reduction down to ten percent, and
<v Speaker 1>then still a million percent on China. So people are
<v Speaker 1>still skeptical, including forty nine percent of respondents who said yes,
<v Speaker 1>they still expect a price increase, twenty seven percent said
<v Speaker 1>they still expect a price increase, but a smaller one
<v Speaker 1>at this point, and then twenty four percent say they
<v Speaker 1>no longer expect a price increase. I think, you know,
<v Speaker 1>with that sort of sentiment in the air, Nintendo probably
<v Speaker 1>is aware of that, and it's like, probably maybe still
<v Speaker 1>feels like they can get away with one. But I
<v Speaker 1>bet a lot of this is people being cynical and
<v Speaker 1>being like, well, we don't get nice things.
<v Speaker 2>This has ruined everything. So the price was already high,
<v Speaker 2>why can't it be higher?
<v Speaker 4>Here's my conspiracy theory. You ready for this?
<v Speaker 2>I am always ready for conspiracy tam.
<v Speaker 3>Here's what they're thinking. They're having a meeting right now,
<v Speaker 3>and they're like, what should we do about this price increase?
<v Speaker 3>And then someone stands up and says, don't worry about
<v Speaker 3>the price increase. Everyone is so pissed off at how
<v Speaker 3>expensive our games are. Like, that's the big issue right now.
<v Speaker 3>So why if we don't do anything to the price
<v Speaker 3>of the console. And we put our statements saying, as Nintendo,
<v Speaker 3>your benevolent gaming rulers, we have decided to eat the
<v Speaker 3>eat the costs of the tariffs, and will not be
<v Speaker 3>changing the price of this console. And then everyone goes,
<v Speaker 3>oh my god, Nintendo, you're so good at this, and
<v Speaker 3>everyone forgets that they're still charging eight dollars for those
<v Speaker 3>fucking games, and they will like bait and switch everyone
<v Speaker 3>so badly. That's I guarantee you that's what's going to happen,
<v Speaker 3>because they also know that long term the games are
<v Speaker 3>we're gonna they're gonna make their money. Yes, again, as always,
<v Speaker 3>eat the cost on the console, which is already pretty expensive.
<v Speaker 3>Act like you did everyone a face of keep the
<v Speaker 3>games the exact same price, and you will make your
<v Speaker 3>money back in no time.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, what if they even go one step further
<v Speaker 2>and like we're you know, because of the terraces, we
<v Speaker 2>do have to raise the price of physical games, but
<v Speaker 2>the digital games in the United States, it is something
<v Speaker 2>they're already do in some other countries. We'll keep it
<v Speaker 2>at a lower price.
<v Speaker 1>If you want to go digital and give us more
<v Speaker 1>of a cut, yep, maybe we'll keep it at eighty dollars. Like,
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of maneuvers here that they can make
<v Speaker 1>to try to I.
<v Speaker 3>Think the band switch is gonna come easily. That's the
<v Speaker 3>smallest things. That's why I would do it if I
<v Speaker 3>was trying to bleed people drive them money, yep.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and ninety dollars joy cons, which they you know,
<v Speaker 1>that's the kind of thing that could happen. They could
<v Speaker 1>raise the price on accessories and that's where they try
<v Speaker 1>to make some of the money backs. They have really
<v Speaker 1>high margins on those. So maybe uh okay, new poll
<v Speaker 1>question that we will get to here in a second,
<v Speaker 1>But first before we do that, to more Hussein, what
<v Speaker 1>do you have going on?
<v Speaker 2>Where could people find you on the internet?
<v Speaker 3>You can find me tomorrow H dot com on Blue Sky,
<v Speaker 3>Please follow me on Instagram. I I keep gonna buy
<v Speaker 3>it because it's one of the things where like note
<v Speaker 3>all right, he helps in this current day, day and age.
<v Speaker 3>You know what I'm saying, So that would be great
<v Speaker 3>follow me and I maybe I'm hopefully planning to stream
