M h. I'm working out my quads, my synergies, yeah, my delts. Yeah, you need to get synergized with your quads and your delts. If you reexes, yeah, that's you gotta traps. All this stuff needs to come together doing squats. Yeah. Make sure your low hanging fruit hits the floor. Oh yeah, I need that low hanging fruit. And then give some cat five cable and just wrap it right around your low hanging fruit. And it's running up in flagpole a little bit. I tie it to them, my mavericks. If anybody salutes, and so online online is taken, Online online online is taken, and online dot com redirects to see it. Yeah yeah, really yeah, how about online offline on Just go through every permutation here, it's tuesday dot com. That's that's gotta be taken until they add apostrophes into the right URLs and I want it's tuesday dot apostrophe. I get that. Yeah yeah dot I mean they launched dot bike, so I figure, wait, really yeah, really, b I k e. Yeah, I own a dot bike domain. It is it guard dot bike? Is it motored out dot bike? A gun dot bike? No? I don't know why did they launch dot bike. Uh. You know, the Internet's a dumb place because all because all the dot dads are taken. Yeah there was a dot dad there was. What are they doing? I don't know? You had your chance? Did I? Did I miss out? Online? Offline is taken? This is the giant bomb cast online is to again. This is this is the the world's premier Is this domain available? Yes? Or no? Podcast dot com where we take your domains, your domain requests and we find out if they're available or not. And here's the answer. They're all no. Because even the ones that were yes, we registered so we could sell them to you at a markup. I parked, parked parked that domain. Yeah, McDonald's dot com dot park At one point someone did own McDonald's dot com. Those not McDonald's I believe it. Yeah. The Internet, I mean the Internet, you know, everybody owns something that early, like that kind of man rush that mid nineties, like Jude, when domains were still like one hundred bucks plus to register, and you're like, oh, man, I'd go register you know, maytag dot com if I could, and then make them make them buy it from me. Ge dot com. Yeah that probably probably they just want with the real gey www dot com is parked. Yeah, used to not be parked. Oh yeah, uh this company, I think they still own it, Colm dot com com. Yeah see that's been around for a long time. Yes, seen it owned com dot com changed hands, but you want to be right. Maybe they did sell it off for me that reason too. I don't know, but it sparked. Yeah, at some point we squatted, sure, cybersquatted. I was doing cybersquats. Yeah. There was this one web page, your cyberglutes. This guy had a Wikipedia sized archive of weird alt lyrics and the u r l was www dot com hyphen www dot com slash weird out. I don't think it exists anymore, but that's where you went. So it was calm hyphenwww dot com was the real domain. How'd you get there? I typed it in? Oh did Yeah? And it happened to be weird al lyrics, so win on both ends. I don't know how I found it. I probably found it with Yahoo or something. This was decades ago. KOs typed into WebCrawler. Yeah. I find it really strange that weird el scene was like the thing that you should grow up and then look back and roll your eyes at and think like I was a stupid kid for liking that, but like he's kind of genuinely funny on Twitter, my friend, and everybody seems to fondly remember him and like him still. Yeah, you know what I mean. Yeah, I mean, they ain't much hate out there for Weird Time. I certainly had my falling out with Weird All's music. Yeah yeah, like okay, everybody kind of stops listening to it, but nobody seems to look back on it and say, like, oh, that's that cheety dumb thing that I thought was funny. I think he's genuinely funny. And he's been doing you know, I mean, well, uhf was as a terrific movie sure, yes, uh And then you know, he's he was on some episodes of Tim and Eric. He was on an episode of Comedy Bang Bang. Like he's out there kind of in the alternative comedy scene, right, that's the thing. Like he's got real chops beyond stuff, and he's got he's got nothing but respect. Yeah, and Weird Allen never had that kind of Howie Mandel turn right and just like boy the glove on the head thing. Looking back, it's good stuff. But got shaken up a bit. It wasn't much there to back that up. Weird elves got it for days, he does. My friend and I knew weird ol songs so well that on the bus we used to one guy I would listen to his CD player of a weird al song, skipped to a random one, and the other one would try to lip read and see which song he was listening to. You had a long ride to school, Okay, well, yes, it's April twenty first, twenty second, it's April twenty second. Time go, yeah, and we're here again. Tip is fugit? I'm sorry. So what you're saying the time is a fugitive Yes, fugitive time? Caravella? You you were on a fugitive time last week out there on the run. Yeah, I lost three hours. How'd that go? I found him, came back here and they were here. You just left him in a drawer, came back here and yeah, I went through time and on the other side of time. His New Jersey, you go through a portal and might be a tunnel, but I'm pretty sure it's a time portal in your New Jersey. New Jersey is the land before time and after okay, yeah, you want to know. It's all it was, It's all that will be. It is the alpha, it is the omega. New Jersey exists outside of time and spacing. It is basically the cockroach of locations. It will be there, for it has been there. It will be there. New Jersey has survived nuclear fallout, asteroid strikes, survived in air quotes, mass mass disease. We've always been at war with New Jerseys, the enemy in mass effect four. Yes, yeah, yes, New Jersey and the hann are weirdly enough. Yeah. If they're buried underneath like the stadium, you just gotta find them. Yeah, because that's what New Jersey does. I was in, Yes, New Jersey. The garden state, Yeah, checking out gardens, that's cool. And family Yeah, your family garden does my family guard or my family the plot the state? Yeah, family Garden? Okay, all right, okay, my family garden dot com is taken? All right? How about www hyphen my family garden dot com dot com? Man Uh Yeah, New Jersey's a fantastic place full of wonderful accents and people. Yeah, didn't actually spent some time in New York, not in Manhattan, So I just skipped over the Manhattan part and bounced back from New Jersey to Long Island and skip that weird place in the middle. Yeah, where that's for tourists. That's where the tourists go. Yeah. Oh, I'm gonna go to New York. I'm gonna go to Manhattan boot woo hoo hoo. No, man, it's gonna go some fancy little Irish rest pub thing and spend a bunch of money. McDonald's there too. Let's just go there instead. No, go be with the people. I had a really good time in Brooklyn when I was there for a brief period of time. Uh yeah the other week. You know, I didn't get out too much, but I kind of got Brooklyn has become weird. The Brooklyn has become more Manhattaney. The white people invaded Brooklyn now, So the section I was in that didn't seem to be too much that identified at least the areas I was going to. Like basically, like every restaurant I went into there was just hip hop blaring out of it. What kind of people were in there though they have like big, big thick glasses and beards. There was a little I saw a little bit of that but you know, I was out on the street, like I had to go to the CVS and buy a toothbrush because I sucked up and didn't find my toothbrush. I didn't go to a Dwayne Reid. I didn't see. I couldn't. I was looking for a Dwyne okay, and came across the CVS first, all right, well, and the next that means during the wrong part of Brooklyn. Well. Then I went to a Dunkin Donuts the shell pizza at the CVS. No, they didn't know. The CVS was not telling much. Were the toothbrush is behind the locked No they were not. Was it deodorant? I didn't need deodorant, just until the end of the trip. I actually ran out, but I should have actually stocked up. But I enjoyed your descriptions of some of these places the other day before the gentrification set in. Was like, what were you talking about? Like that's Betsy, Yeah, I don't go say it. How do you say it? Bedford Stuyverson, bet Sty Well, I know the bet Sty part. I never knew how to say the long version. Oh yeah, it's it's it's a cross, it's the bad Corners, It's that do or die. You don't want to be there. Don't want to be there? What about now? Well, apparently now you can be there, you're saying. Back in the day, you would open the train door and just get stabbed without even stepping off the train. Yeah, then we keep moving. You know, they return the corpses, it's they aren't animals. Uh, just hand your walllet out and I've fucked up. I missed my stuff. I'm sorry, that's my my fault. That's stick me. Here's my Wallets take it. How many times you get stuck twice? Yeah? No, it was a good round trip to go through. Yeah, now is uh now it seems a little better. I think I was kind of close to like the Albie Square mall. Maybe I'm not that is. Can you just run down the Burroughs? I don't they all blur together to me? There is uh them? Wait wait Brooklyn Cross Queens stat No, but like what is Queens. It's huge different part of So there's Queens, I know, but like there's queen Arena is full of frat boys and last time I was in Queens, very Mediterranean influence. Queens is Queen's is bigger than most of the Northwest United States. When I was in a story, it was like basically the street I was going up when I was on my way to Alex's place, it was like a billion hookah bars on both sides of the streets, just like what y why is this Queens? Queen's Houston. So there's different parts, like a story in Long Island City have become kind of Mediterrane used to be very Greek. It's now kind of Mediterranean and I think Eastern European. Uh. Flushing, Yeah, Alex did say that me and my track suit out there on the street behind his apartment did not seem in two out of place. Yeah, this is what I've heard. I've been in a story in like eight years. My brother lives there too. Flushing and Whitestone used to be these are parts of Queens. These are part of sometimes Queens. It's parts of Queens. But like they you would you would if you were writing a letter to this area, you would write Flushing, New York like it's a town, does it have a mayor? The lesser boroughs of New York City are bigger than all of San Francisco. If you look at a map, the maps don't look like if you look at the subway map of New York, like they scale everything down so it looks like, oh, Queens is like the SiZ of Manhattan is not as not true as Queens is gigantic. Uh So there's Queens and Brooklyn on the kind of westerns. They're all on Long Island. So Queens County in Kings County's King Yeah, there is a Kings County. Brooklyn is part of King's County, Queens County. I want to hear about Jamaica, Queens, Jamaica Queens south Side. That's that's a transfer spot on trains. That's all. That's as far you get off one train, get on the other train, get out of Jamaica's If you want to hear about south Side Jamaica, Queens, I recommend the early works of one fifty cents. When he says that over and over it keep your thousand yards stare, get on the other train and go, just close your eyes and walk. Why is it called Jamaica. Why is it called Jamaica because it was that's originally, that's originally where Jamaica. When was his name, Sir Francis Jamaica founded it and then he moved because the rent got too high and started in a little island colony. I don't know. Why is it called New York. Why because it's you know, because people from York settled there. I don't know. Yeah, I have no idea. Jamaica used to be pretty rough. Again, I have no idea how this stuff is nowadays. It could be just mansions in Jamaica. Uh. You know there's some neighborhood d always like, oh, there's the good part and the bad part, and then some parts just like no, you just don't go there. The Bronx has like really nice parts, like super rich parts of the Bronx, and then there are pretty tough parts where no Manhattan, Hell's Kitchen, Yeah, the Bronx. Yeah. So the Bronx is north right, Yeah. Then there's on the island right yes, okay uh. And then there's wait, how many islands are we talking about? And there's Manhattan okay uh? And then Staton but nobody ever talks about is that the one where they kept leppers on Staten Island, like I think up until like last year and then they said that's just mean, let's just eradicate them all, just wipe it out. They pushed them all into the ocean. Uh so then, yeah, Staten Island is the one that nobody ever remembers. Okay, is that considered a borough? Yeah, okay, I think yes. I'm pretty sure New York's a missing one. I'm saying nobody ever talks about Staten Island. There's a ferry. I'm never sure if it ever gets there or not. I've seen people get on it. And there's also Roosevelt Island. And Roosevelt Island's weird because there's a trap. There's a hanging tram car that goes there and that's how you get off fro Roosevelt Island. You get on like this like Alpa and lift thing that takes you there. I saw a real bad movie called dark Water that took place in rosebond On. Wait was that with the dude from die Hard with Jennifer Connolly and wait the guy Alan who's David Allen Greer. Yeah. I think my wife worked on that movie. Really, I think, so I had to double check. I'll check IMDb or something. It was great. Yeah, I think she did sound stuff on it. I think I don't know, Okay, I have to check anyway. The boroughs are great. New Jersey's fantastic. I got off the plane. It's pizza, had some Chinese food, had bagels, did the tour, carbo loaded for my New Jersey stay. My wife's mom lives in New Jersey, so and then went by. I went back and forth with my family on Long Island, New Jersey. Great time, fantastic. There is something about the East Coast, especially the Tri state area, especially in New Jersey, especially the parts I was in, that just makes you appreciate because death is just right around the corner. Yeah, that's kind of Everybody's just like, I gotta go. I got stuff to get done because tomorrow might never come. We could be wiped out in a hurricane, that something might explode. I don't have time for bullshit. What do you want for me? Why are you even looking at me? You're not looking at me? Great, move on. That's what I like about the East Coast. Like, Nope, I'm not saying that there's no bullshit. I feel like there's a finer appreciation for the time spent on bullshit. You want to get this thing done or not? No? Yes, no, no, okay, get out of my cab. All right, I will have time to drive you just anywhere that's not Manhattan. Get out. I did hear they have special cabs now, Alex was saying that are designated, like different color cabs that will drive you to an outer borough like Queens or something like that. Usually walk in a cab and you say, hey, I'm going to Queens and they say get out. Don't they want them fair? No, because you can't get a return fair because nobody's coming back to Manhattan. So they say get out. And you say that's you can't that's illegal, you can't do that. Damn said get out? All right? Whatever, But now I guess there take a train, they get those city bikes, you know, one of those Oh sure, yeah, just yeah, right out there, no problem. Yeah, it was a great trip. Uh. I hate flying. I still do. It's gotten worse. I don't know why. I think. I don't lie because they're broke and the margins on flying suck. Sure, So everybody jet Blue both ways? Yeah, jet Blue, nothing against jem Blue. I just think the whole industry has Yeah, you're right, is the whole experiences seem Yeah, it seemed like for a while there I was like, oh, you know, Virgin seems to really get it, and they're like they're like, no, even that sucks now, like whatever, it's all fucking garbage. Yeah, I think I might believe Jet Blue's claim of having the most like room and coach, though they're pretty good that flight on the way out there. What happens when we get rid of the first class? I guess everybody stretches out. My knees didn't touch the seat in front of me and coach and that never happens. It's did you upgrade? And I bought one of the seats coming back like the exit row. Okay, leg room seats. Nice smart move. That's because they didn't give me a seat assignment. I fell. I fell into their psychological trap of oh, you'll get a seat assignment at the gate maybe. And then and I said, well, I guess if I paid ninety dollars, I can have one right now. So fun. Yeah. When I got in the plane, I book my flight, it was all full, and then of course those rows were like empty and they won't let you. That's their first class. Yeah. I ended up paying to more legroom into like whatever the plus version United thing. It was, Oh je jep lose the worst because they call it even more room and the faster check in? Is it even more speed? Yeah, having to go up to the TSA lady and say where's the even more speed line? Did you thought she was going to club me for having to say that stupid ship there? Uh, it's I don't even understand what it would pre check in and like super fast pack. Yeah, the pre check stuff's weird. You know that there's like a background check you can submit to and with a fee. I assume, yeah, probably, And I think it's like an organization that you sign up with and pay them an annual fee or something. Yeah, yeah, sixty or eighty bucks a year. Yeah, like once you're once you're clear through that, then you get to go through a pre check line. Leave your shoes on all this other shore those airports specific though some airports don't have them more and more do. What I mean is there isn't a blanket when you can get yeah, because yeah, I saw people in line with their shoes on. Yeah, and then the security guard this is not coming back to California, was like, you know, like fuck you, and she's like I I went to the pre check Oh this way man took it thir you know, because yeah, they're trying to run a show there, and I got people through. Yep, you know, pa, your shoes off, take your belt off, and like I was like what I don't even understand, Like you pre checked, so you're cool to wear shoes now? Is that what the world is? Yeah? Yeah, like the shoes shunted into the pre check line, just like because yeah, I up, I had a flight that it was awesome that I got. Yeah, the airport was so subtle advertising. It's like, hey, this could be like this. So that's I was. I was reading in one of the in flight magazines or something that it was like, you know, oh you know, select people are getting moved over into these lines and all this other stuff. So yeah, it is literally that they are taking some number of people through those lines. Oh I see, Yeah they took the blonde hair, blue eye kids. You can keep your shoes, ye sir, ye through It'll be fine. Ory got shunted into the weird are you splashed with lie? Yeah, bend over in his eyes just cough. I wonder if I would have to disclose where I had been for that procedure. Yeah, just lie, I yeah, I don't understand what the state of security. I think it's very confusing to me. I know, going through like a billion airports, I never understand who wants you to take what out of your bag? And who needs a who needs a doggie bag? And then see through for your liquids and do you have to take this out anymore? And I know laptops still come out and shoes still come off. Some things have stayed the same, But I don't know what I have to take out of my bag. And like, some people get real freaked out and I don't take the camera out of the bag. Some people are completely fine with it, some people get angry when you do take it out. Yeah, and like it's very confusing on that end, and like yeah, internationally it's just a fucking bad Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You just go through and just have guns and swords strapped your back and you'd be like, this is cool. I don't know. That's why next time you should just hop a fence and climb up on the wheel. Well that's ridiculous too. I don't understand that's the new place to be. Yeah, that's pre check, that's super fast. Yeah, game wise even more cold. I picked the worst game to play on the plane. Okay, before I got on a plane head and back, it was a six and a half hour flight. It's like, oh, go buy the game for my three DS, and I bought Animal Crossing. What a bad idea that was? Like first half hour was like it was a cool get the house do it, or get a tent, do this. And then it was like, all right, dude, you come back tomorrow. You can have a house. You need to get your like down payment on your house. It's ten thousand shekels or whatever it is. And then it was like, okay, went outside, collected all the shells, shook some rude to whatever, yep, and then it was like now what happens then? Now now you wait until tomorrow. Wait, no, no, you wait until tomorrow. And then okay, I'm ready to make my down payment. Sorry we closed five minutes ago. What the hell is that? Come back at eight am tomorrow? But a bad game for a plane, Like literally had to just close it and be like, no, I guess I'm done. Shook trees until my battery died. That's what happened until the battery died, and was like you have oranges. This sucks. I have oranges. Do you want an orange? I have a perfect orange. I have the perfect orange for you. He transmitted your oranges into a perfect orange. I made thee. So you're just never gonna play the game again. I don't know. I'll open it up again. See if something else happened, like past you have your house? Wait I didn't pay. Oh, then I'm still collecting oranges. You're done? Then, I think, I think you can go pay now. But doesn't it take at least another day for the house open up? Yeah, Like as soon as you finished the payment, it's like all right, yeah, we'll build a house tomorrow and like real time tomorrow. Yeah. Yeah, I shouldn't have done that. No, that's a bad that you made a bad made a bad move. Other games I did. I played a bunch of dealth ink I think was the name of the game. It was a yeah that's up on plus it was free, and I pay a bunch of that on the way, two packs my vater and uh that potter lasts a long time, you know, shaking the eye. I shook about four hundred trees and nothing ran out, had three d off and all that nonsense. That was about it. Cool, Yeah, I played a lot of Pokemon on the flight. Really, yeah, the new one Pokemon. Why. I found my Pokemon red box at my parents house. Wow, still with the trainer's guide and so I know all the sequel. Good, you got all the tips. Yeah. I hadn't played a Pokemon game in earnest. I think since then you haven't missed much. Yeah it's in color, now, it's in color color. Who'd you pick? Who's the fire one Pokachu? Yep, fire him on fire armand yeah it's like a Fox Fox char Yeah, Fox Fox die fire Firefox. That's what it is. Yeah, okay, yeah with clinics wood you have to think in Russian to win your Pokemon battles, It's right. Uh but yeah, I ended up playing that as much as I could, and then I fell asleep on the plane. Yea, I couldn't play for very long because I was just playing fall asleep. She fell asleep on the plane. Yeah, that's fantastic. Yeah, fell asleep on the way back. Yeah that man, not it's like not great sleep. And I have to, like, I put my jacket over my body. What you didn't melt? Planes are so hot. I turned the air on full blast at my jacket. Okay, Yeah, sometimes planes are cold, sometimes sometimes they're hot, sometings like it. Really again no consistency with airline travel. I was in the very back for the way the way back, and uh so you constantly get people walking by to go to the bathroom, yeah, and milling around. So as I was sleeping, you would feel the breeze, so I had to put the jacket over me and get inside. Did feel it? Were you an exit row like or I'm sorry we're doing Yeah. Yeah, it's like somebody sitting next to you, like looking at you, like a like a sleeping corporus. Were jacket on my friend, he's dead tie tied with like just dude with his jacket on his end of a plane. Yeah, it's probably pretty weird. There are no fucking rules left on plane and people do all kinds of weird shit. I got so I told you what the guy did on my flight going out there shit his pants like yep. And then after that, I was in the middle and he was in the window and he was like a little wiry, like five foot tall guy. Yeah, heavy French accent. He needed to go to the bathroom, and me and the other guy started to stand up. He's like, no, no, no, I got it. And also, by the way, he had been in his sock feet the entire flight. He just hopped up into his chair and then like planted each foot on one of the arm rests and just climbed over us. And then yeah, like as if that wasn't weird enough that then he goes into an airplane bathroom with in his socks. That's that's gross. Fell on the plane. Jeff Blue has little TV's on the back, which you know, sometimes work, and I happen to get one that half worked, so on the way there and gonna back, I couldn't fall asleep unfortunately either way. But I did get to watch TV, and I haven't watched some good old cable TV and quite a while. Yeah, so I had a chance to watch up on jeez, they just have a block of reality TV shows just that you got some river Monsters, yep. So so from Discovery to NAT GEO to Animal to History TLC. I don't know if I went. I just started skipping through each one on commercials, right, okay, And I was like, I'm gonna watch this one for a while, which was Life below Zero, right, which is these guys who live up I think it was on Nacio. They live up by the Arctic Circle right now. It was pretty good, well shot, nice little thing. But for some reason, I don't know if this is how cable TV works now or just how direct TV on the plane works. They show them just back to back to back to back to back to back marathons of all things. Is that just how it runs on TV? I mean, you were watching on the weekend right well, no, no, no flight down. Well in the morning then, because usually those shows will air like prime time or something like that, Like none of those networks have enough programming to fill a twenty four hour days block it, so you know it'd be like during the day they'll just go like, well fuck it, and here's eight in a row. So I watched Istrod Truckers, didn't get that one, got River Monster Sauce, some news show that was like dirty Job something or other. But the one that was the craziest, and I watched reality TV and Earnest in a while and I saw it and then I just happened to keep flicking back to it during commercial was Amish Mafia, which was the most fucked up. They say that right, Yeah, fucked up thing I had seen because they are right. So what I could gather about Amish mafia and I meant to go look this up and I never did. Was that during production they said, don't film us anymore. So the episodes I was watching were mixed in with reenactments of how that stuff went down, with maybe some of the primary cast doing reenactments, and maybe it was a real footage, but they're trying to fake it because they weren't allowed to film them anymore. But they still wanted to now tell the tale of how they couldn't film them anymore and how this all went to bizarre. So they had like what bad really bad acting from like the lawyer who was like some of the stuff seemed to be real and some was like no, you can't not film them anymore, and it's like who talks like that? And then it's like, well, we're filled in the gaps, which are like reenactment of some scenes. Since Holy christ Man, reality TV has done amazing things up its own as so far it has come out of its mouth and then it has swallowed itself again, shot itself back out. It is unbelievably amazing, saying reality TV is its own human synepe. I'm I'm gonna say there's nothing human about any of that. Holy cow, you're saying reality TV bites. Yeah, yeah, I don't say that too. Does human sending people and that, and like I said, uh, but holy cow? But it was. It was crazy because I was so mesmerized by it. It's one of those things where you just look at and go like, how did this get made? Like you you become so in raption in the process. It was just like, it's amazing. Who decided this was I don't know what was happening. Everyone involved seems like a fucking nightmare person. They were just there were viewers. Viewers decided they were seeing. The audience made it. So there were scenes I saw in this thing I was watching where they're confronting the people they're filming the Amish, and they're like, we don't want you to film anymore, and the guy's like, obviously, I don't know if this is real or not. The guy's holding the camera at his side, so it's all like shot low, uh, and like the don't bring your camera up here, and the guy's like it's it's off. It's off. Lights off. Lights off, and they're like, we don't want you to film anymore. You're ruining our lives. You're running our lives. And the producers are like, let's talk about this. Let's talk about this, and then they cut to another camera which is like supposed to be somebody's phone filming, and then they're like, are you filming with your fucking phone? No, it's say like and then like they chase him out with bats and like somebody got hurt. And I don't know if it was real or not. I don't know what's happening anymore. What's this? Go back to hoarders? Like that was just like I knew what was real. That's that's what the reality TV. You can believe it. It's why I watch wrestling. Yeah, it knows what it is. Yeah, no one in any part of the wrestling is trying to fool you. Really. They might. They might try to surprise you, but the jig is up on everything else. They're telling a tale as old as time. Yeah, I couldn't. I have to go do some more research. They've got me. That's that's I don't know what's happening anymore anyway, that's my tail, right. The Garden State, The Garden State. It's beautiful place, Drew. Other than playing Pokemon, what have you been up to? See? I went home this weekend? Uh, see the family for Easter? Right Easter? Yes, yeah, you know a little chance for family get together, which means we it's my every few months, so I get to play rock band. Yeah, that's fine. My brother is a big rock band guy. So cool we do that. It's excited about rock band four? Did not come up? He should be? Uh? Whatever, Man, I love rock band. I would play some rock band four. I'm getting just enough of it, like every month or a couple of months. Yeah that I have fun with it every time. You know, are you buying any Can you buy the DLC anymore? Yes? I think you can buy it. I think they're coming out and then like certain songs or artists kind of selectively being taken down. I believe that maybe the case deals expires. Yeah, I'm not sure. Do you try to buy anything when you just play your set? And my brother has continued to buy a whole bunch of stuff. He's got like one hundred downloaded. What do we talk I mean done pro controllers or drum kids. No, No, he's got the symbols, okay, and he does that. I I cannot do drums. Is it all rock band branded stuff? Yeah no no, mixed and match with Guitar Hero parts, no, no, no no, you're a rock band house. That's right, rock bands family, that's right. Although I did when Guitar Hero came out. I brought Guitar Hero with a PS two on a plane and that freaked him out for a little bit. Yeah, man, what was it? What's the what's the song that you're like, let's let's get serious now, let's do this. We're done warming up? When you know I? I ended with many shades of black by the rocking tours, okay, because my voice is always shot after that song? Nice? How many people you got going the whole fam? No? Just me and my brother and my dad on bass. Nice? Yeah? Cool? That was fun. Do you guys ever used that? I wonderful? Still up that Xbox three six y karaoke thing where you could like buy chunks of time? I never did. I downloaded it and meant to try it and and just never. It was I was always curious how it works, if it works, m It was a cool idea for any kind of music based thing like that, you know. Yeah, yeah, no Beatles rock band for you. Drew No, never was a big Beatles guy. Not that I disliked him, I just you know, I don't not really familiar. We also played a board game called Carcassonne M which is which has a great Xbox Live version. Yeah, I think it isn't Alex like a gigantic fan of that. Yeah he wasn't. I don't know if I doubt he's still playing it with the regularity he used to. But yes, yeah, yeah, that's a great game. But how was it you hunt for Easter eggs? Uh? No, No egg hunting man put on a passion play. I don't know what a passion play is. I'm inferring what it is. It's based on your your your roots eat ham Okay, yeah, I don't know what the candy used to be hidden around elect it and that's about it. Then you reenac stations of the cross What am I the only one you see in the Philippines. They're like doing that for real, Like some number of people like allowed themselves to be like nailed to crosses. Whoa we never went exploration of I don't know. I saw this in passing. It sounded gruesome the night pass over and I moved in, Yes, moved on, Yes, absolutely, just sounds like a fun sunday, I guess. So yeah, cool you lent me, uh, Titan Fall three sixty. I haven't had a chance to plug that in, right, yeah, I do not as yet have an Xbox One, so be interested to see if that's worth its salt. I got to do the I got to do the family tour of Like, so, what's a video game? Okay? Let me all right, everybody sit down, so you know, so what's up the Titan Fall? So what's which one? What's it? Is it good? What's the good video games? Should I get the PS four? Shoud I get the Xbox One? Get the whole court for a while, kind of be like, you know, I don't know, there's still you know, I heard it's broken. Yeah, I heard that that Xbox One ain't gonna be good. I go, yeah, okay, all right, well you know that they're working on at the games are there? Like you know, what's that? What's that Robot one? Titan Fall? Yeah? Yeah that one sucks. You're like, wait, what it's no, It's all right. I heard it's broken. Everything's broken. Yeah, you know your dad making it? Did he choose his alignment? Yet? No, everybody want three sixty because everybody gets the It's like we're at the I'm not gonna, I don't mean this in it. We are at the center, but we are in the core of news, right. We get it very quickly, we talk about it, we can suss out. And then as it radiates and spirals out, it's like a game of telephone and you lose information gets lost as its spirals and kind of hits the outer hits Pluto and kind of goes out into Affla Centauri and those those people just pick up bits and pieces of that. HER's broken. Her, it's broken. So like my like my cousins and my family, my dad just get the like the big blast radiation, right, they don't get the like kind of minutia, So they get the you know, Xbox one still has the DRM stuff in it. Battlefield just was a smoking pile of shit that never worked when it came out on four. Uh, but like still but it's like still completely broken and unplayable on any platform. So they just get and it's like, yeah, I'm glad, I'm stuck with the Xbox. We stuck with Battlefield three because god, you can't even play four. It's just you know, you put it in and your your family explodes, and uh like, well, you know, I think they're fixing it and getting there. Oh yeah, that's not what I heard. Oh well okay, Oh if you heard different, then I guess that's fine. So it's funny kind of talking about that stuff and sessing it out, and and also like talking about weird uh like gray market stuff of like modding like stuff I don't just like I don't pay attention to it, but it's like all weird. Like I got a friend who's got like eight hundred PS four games, Like I don't what are they because I know about three four games. So he's got every game in every game on the system. Like okay, okay, like I don't. It's easy. You just so you can open it up and put an egg in there and then you know it's fine. All right. He's got a knack with the B in the parentheses B one, B two jay exclamation point JP. Uh. Yeah, it's it's really interesting too. Uh. I talked. I was telling Brad this earlier, talking to my cousin who's twelve, and she was rattling off social media services. God, I didn't even know Tout. She big on Tout totally. That was one of them. Really, Yeah, she into wrestling. Oh I don't know, No, is that a wrestling thing? It was at one point I think that was one. I don't know if she was like just rattling them off by you and I felt like maybe's Chinese, like just like going through, like just kept going, and like I felt like such a fucking old man because I was like, are you on Are you on Twitter? No? I only Twitter, I'm on Twitter. I mean we could be friends on Twitter or something, And like I just had no idea what she was even using. Her phone was just like full of apps that were just like all her friends were on. And I knew Snapchat and Twitter, and I thought Snapchat would be the one that the kids. Yeah yeah, and she was like none, and then I don't really use Snapchat, and my aunt was like her mom was like should she use Snapchat? I was like, no, she should not use Snapchat. Weird man, I was way out of touch. It's a sad thing. Apparently Titan Falls broken, and so is Battlefield for a right breaking news. Yeah. Sorry, well get Patrick on that. Yeah, m anything else, Drew, that's it, that's you, Brad. Hello, Hello, I didn't go see my family. I made my family come to me. Smart, that's smart. I mean they wanted to be out here for the holiday, you know. I wanted to be out here to celebrate four twenties exactly. Yeah. San Francisco's for for that. Yeah. We did, in fact, actually walk around in Golden Gate Park on four twenty, and you live to tell the tale. It was intolerable. What happens on? Oh my god. Well, for one thing, there are too many fucking people out there gross, which instantly ruins any situation. Okay in San Francisco. So yes, many of them are naked. Yeah, there was that with a Llama's out there, some kind of dance party going on at one point I didn't see. Uh, it was like that. We figured out his name, Yeah, George, Yeah, George, George, a Lama wizard. Even he stayed home, Gandolf, Yeah he knows better. So are people just smoking in the streets probably? I guess there was a certain point they vap a certain a certain places, and I don't think so. I don't think you can vape portably in that sense. Uh you can't, Yeah, like with that, Yeah can't you? Oh yeah, it's yeah, you probably can't. Mane. Well, that style of vapings is a lot more like plugging the wall. My understanding, Well, I told you I'm out of touched. I don't know what the kids who know now that's I listened to hip hip hop radio and they they're constantly giving things away. These cigarettes are all like like liquid like cartridge. These are different from those. But a body can vaporize, yes, yep, just wow. The blue light cut on the news said they all got together on Hippie Hill. I don't know what that is, Okay, I don't even know if that is a real place. And Golden Gate Park if the news made that up. Rush said, yeah, yeah, let's worry it all all all of San Francisco is Hippie Hill. That's where I get my video games. Heard Titan fallows broken knees from Hippie Hill. Bro be afore smoking pilots ship their shippard all the robot industrial complexes jobs across the ease overseas or so. What happened when you took your family through hippies. I don't know. We walked around for like an hour and then it was like all right, then we were really used to get out of here, so we left. Did you have Easter dinner? Yeah? We went to the house Prime Rib, did you Yeah? That dessert man, what a great place. So what did you get a dessert steak? Sorry? What if you order the big steak? You can eat all of it? Can cut? Yes, I did both of those things. You can give you your dessert steak? No, what fuck? We can ask for more? I'm going back? Did I have for this podcast? He didn't say do you are you good? Do you want more? Were you sleeping by the end? Maybe just face down? And I did. I did have two cups of coffee after the meal. It's like I need this sweating. But what is what is the dessert steak? I think if you get the biggest one King King Henry cut. Yeah, yeah, and you finish, it's not that much bigger. It's it's a little bit bigger than the stand. They give you a free dessert steak. That's that did not happen. That's crap. Every time I've gotten there, yeah, they've asked me, like you want more like yeah, yeah, prime rib. Yeah. Well yeah, like everybody says, hey, you can totally ask him for another piece, have you you've done that? I do, And then my wife always says, no, he doesn't. They've never offered it. No really, I always thought it was a secret, like secret handshake thing, like you just you gotta know that you can ask for it. Did you do? Did they do the salad on the ice and spin it around? Yeah, that's cold salad. Hold and hold the dressing like five feet up in the air and poured in there. Yeah. I've never been there. It is so good. I do like I do like Primary. Last time I was there, I think I counted eight birthday celebrations. Yeah, there were hours of one of them, and there were like two others. It put candles to tables adjacent us the candles in your primary. No, not quite barklers. Probably rad is so tender that. I mean mine was media rare. I don't know about all of them, but I didn't even need a knife pretty much, just kind of worked the fork in there and cut it off. He's the force, see him. Just pick it pick it up by the bone, pick it up, just rip it from bury your face on the plate. Just raise your hand. When you want more st just get a snorkel and didn't. When he puts a salad on your plate, you just fucking smack it off and say, this isn't the house of fucking salad. What do you wuy? You wasting my time? Oh it's a really good salad though, it is pretty good, man, Oh that place is great, but wasting my time. It's this time I could be eating prime rib. Also, you order a cocktail at that place and they bring you the entire shaker of it, which is actually like three of them, like they do when you get a milkshake at the bottom of the car. Yeah. Absolutely, I got a Manhattan and it lasts me the whole dinner because it was three full glasses worth. That kind of vegan options that they got there, like at a salad yeah, okay, and then they have an option to watch somebody eats. Okay. I don't even I don't even know if I think the salad is vegan. I think there's egg in the salad, might be bovo lacto. They do have a fish there for people who can't eat or won't eat red meat, right right, I mean if you're going to the house of prime rib and joining somebody. I guess because you're a good friend or something. Yeah, I guess it would be nice to have an option. But like, know that you're going to the place with prime rib in the name, kind of know to expect some kind of tofu prime rib equivalent. I don't know they should see that in a separate section. Right, it's pitching a little like spotlight you know at the meat or no meat section. Why no, no reason, there's bold school. Then it's put a spotlight on you. Hey, everybody check this out. Check it comes to the tough steak. Yeah. I feel like I did go there with the vegetarian once and she was okay, just kept in a just order something and I'll eat. Yeah, I know, man, that's awesome. Mashed potatoes were quite delicious as well. Yes, they're quite good. Did you sweat? I certainly did. Their girlfriend got the bake potato. The baked potato is way more decadent than the Oh my god, man, there's like I am not even making this up, Like half a stick of butter on that thing because they fix it right there. It has about half a stick of butter and sour cream, right, and then a huge doll of sour cream and like more bacon than is healthy. And then at the end of the guy I was like, oh, this doesn't have enough bacon on it. Here like a whole other pile on top of it, puts a fried shake on it. Just ridiculous, weird. It's a it's a fun place. It is a really great place, and they know what they're doing. It's hard to get into their product and they they know exactly what they're doing. It's pretty packed. Yeah, it was a madhouse. We made the reservations like a month ago and five o'clock was the best we could get. Both got a table, nice big table. Did you forego lunch? Yeah? I love it and walked around a bunch getting a meal. When I'm raving it, yep, I was super hungry. I feel like they're pretty dull. They're pretty particular and granular, and like, how do you want this done? Do you want this? Mean? All? Right? You know what? Med him Rares. It's gonna be fucking bluddy. So about twelve minutes thirty six seconds, I brought my own thermometer, put this back Stov machine. Just you just do it. Yeah, it'll text my phone. Don't worry you just let me know. Can I talk to these chef please? Thank you? That's cool. That's not a cheap places, but it's pretty reasonable for what you get. Yeah, it's like cheaper than like Ruth's Chris. It's like forty bucks a person. Yeah, that's it's pricey. That's pricey. But San Francisco price forty bucks a person gets you a coffee that's like half of a rito or something. You know, right, that's some fucking bullshit. This city extensive sea. When I ordered Chinese would use my Chinese food bill here is like forty bucks for two, and when I get Chinese food there was like twelve. Yeah. Yeah, I mean even up where I'm at, Chinese food is not forty dollars for two people. It's cheaper. No, it's forty dollars for one person for one because I'm a goddamned lunatic, but for two normal people, yeah, it'd be like twenty bucks. Twenty five okay, that's twenty five is about what we pay here. Really. I feel like when I maybe I'm ordering the wrong Chinese food, I'd say, like, like at the Chinese places, we ordered from and entree is seven to eight dollars. I see, I never ordered the It's usually I always ordered the thing the what the thing like I want like yeah, like like I want yeah, I want like Mongolian beef. I want the sesame chicken and give me a cart both of it, like the Yeah, I was that different thing. That's that's that's an entree. That's what I mean by entree, Like I feel like the entree is like they're like rice and no that's like no special. When I say re, I mean the little cardboard buck like squares bucket of Chinese. Right, yeah, sure, they're like twelve dollars a pump where like where I order? Where are you going? The house of We're going to rip you off? And I guess so, yeah, golden rip you off? You knows, you know we often rip you off happiness. We often go to the rich gallup special Yeah, non King Road Bistro. And how much of the eight books? Okay maybe they're between eight and ten? Sorry, but like you know those that might be your problem. Well what are you gonna do? We usually get like two of those and one rice on one New Unity left though I'm getting like five fortune cookies for two people, and I'm like, well, right, I'll put these with the other eight egg rolls they gave me two, and then I'll yell to my imaginary seven people in the house when you deliver it. Here, it's a Billy, Jim and Sam. Everybody, line up, come on out. I'll tell just in the back. I'll go get them. Though. Look at your cousins. Here's your tip. They're horsing around. I'm sorry, it looks like you're just sitting there playing an Xbox. Nope, clothes. That's fun. Yeah, that sounds like a great Eastern It was a good time. It was a lot of fun. Your parents are flying, yeah, because they've made the road trip right. Uh once yeah, ages ago. That was a long story. But uh, I didn't play a lot of games because they've been around, you know, right, Yeah, soak up family time. I did uh play fact, No, I watched you play for Act. That's I can't wait to play for Act when it's well, I guess it's out by the time you hear this. Yeah, I'm totally gonna play not I don't know, man, hopefully never know. This thing's going up. So the plan was for it to be up by no, I mean the podcast might go up well, right, right, Well, if the podcasts were going up late, we could talk about the several hours of Watchdogs that I played, well kind of late. What we talk nine am Wednesday morning? Late? Then okay, we can't. Yeah, but I did play a lot of Watchdogs, but you can't talk about it. So I guess look for a video on the site Wednesday morning. Okay, barring any you know video catastrophes, okay, or other catastrophes or catastrophe catached. That's a video. I can confirm that's a video game? Whoa that you brought? Okay? I heard I heard from my cousin that this is just straight broke, just fucking They turned all the graphics down. Yeah, he's got a copy of it. Yeah, he's got everything. He saw the original trailer and he was like, this is bullshit. Picked it up from what's that place? And what was that place in Manhattan that I bought Modern Warfare two before it came out your d n R. Yeah, yep, yeah, he bought it. You got a copy of watch Dogs. There was a place that when I was walking around Brooklyn, there was a game store and I could tell it has been there a while because the sign said a Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sega. Oh yeah, oh yeah, you guys have been The sign is old. They get they get there. They that's I have another cousin who's just like he knows he's on it, and he knows Whawayne Moore ship can I do about it? Like is in touch him as a news guys Marcus Marcus the news man just it's actually on point about everything, like yeah, no, I have to go look that up? Is that? Look it up? And it's real? He said, watch dogs, it's a game. Okay, scooped me. Yeah, blumber, Well, I spent Easter sleeping weirdly enough, that's great. Yeah. I kind of came back from pack's got sick, uh, like just this lingering, crappy head cold kind of thing that only really knocked me out, knocked me out for one day. But then Sunday like sat down like I'm you know, like I was, I'm almost all the way better sitting and watch all TV like two o'clock and boom it's eight. What kind of TV? Watch? Ash? Yeah, yeah, I watchin No. I was catching up on episodes of Review. Is that it's really great. What is that? Uh it is uh andy daily stars as four to McNeil, a reviewer of life experiences. So the people right in and say things like what's it like to be a racist? And then he has to go out and try to be a racist and then to sign it a star. Ratings all totally scripted. Yes, okay, this is not a real show. Okay, it's a real show. Not it's not a reality show. What with that score racism? We've got half a star, half out of five so it's a little good. What a good on Metacritic? I would have a look, I don't know. I don't have that information. I don't have that in front of me. Yeah, it's it's a fantastic show. And then but then I fell asleep minutes into it, and then woke up at eight and I went whoa, And then I was up for a couple more hours and I slept through the night. So I figured that was me catching up, catching up nice from just the week of packs and just being sick and everything. So yeah, but I did play some games over the weekend and over the week just kind of screwing around. I don't think trials Fusion is a great game. I don't think it is a great sequel to Tryals Evolution because it is the same thing, but there is less of it less, uh, you know, if you look at Trials Evolution like it had like the skills circus or you know, like all the other stuff that they were doing with all the skill games and stuff like that, this is just like, hey man, it's Trials still got school games. Yeah, one per tier. I don't think it's about how it was before. I don't know like that that aspect of it. And like they you know, they talk about all the tricks stuff, but then there's only one trick level per tier. Also, well the way the tricks ended up handling and I'm like yeah, and also that the tricks is not the trick stuff is not great, like it if the trick stuff is a little more lenient about recognizing the tricks you're doing. I haven't had really problem with that. It's been just the physics of dealing with it. And those tracks are not that fun and all that sort of stuff. So how is the how are the tracks on their own? Do they seem they're good? Has the Trials part of tracks? It's good? You know, it's it's more Trials. You know. It has a lot of the same sound effects. It's got all the weird AI people talking, which you know, take or leave it. Have you seen the see the Trials lore videos going around now and the theories springing up now? Have you seen that stuff? No? But I'm glad it exists. It's like straight up dark soul style people piecing all the dialogue together to figure out what is going on in this world. They tell you, no, I wouldn't look it up. Yeah, I know, let's not talk about it. But you know, like eventually they start hinting at different things. You know that they kind of hinting at different stuff. And I don't know if it culminates because I haven't haven't finished all the tracks because eventually they get really hard. But I did get hooked on the leaderboard aspects of it, you know. So it's it's I think it's disappointing, but I still think it's an effective trial sequel. It's just weird because they're selling this thing for twenty bucks and it just doesn't feel like it has as much variety as it had in the past. Yeah, and they're you know, and they're selling a Season Past with six updates and you know this game doesn't have online multiplayer in it yet, you know, like they're patching that in later. No, it's not going to be just that. It's something different. It's like a tournament mode or whatever. Yeah, I'm not sure what tournaments before they patched it to say, like sequencing or whatever, but it has multiplayer. Yeah, so like that stuff, like it just seems like less of a game than the last one is. And they're out there aggressively talking about their six content updates for their Season Pass and or you can buy the you know, it's for forty dollars. You get the Deluxe edition that is the Season Past bundled in right off the bat and all this sort of stuff. And I'm sure by the end it'll probably be pretty fantastic because, I mean, Trials, it's a it's a solid foundation. Right now, it's just like, you know, this is this Yeah, But at the same time, it did get hooked on the leaderboard stuff. So can I ask you a personal question, Yeah, who's the man to beat on your leaderboard right now? It's just Dave Lang. It's not to say that he's the best, but he's just talking the loudest, So you're saying, as long as you beat him, you feel okay. Yeah he Well, he went he started up a live stream and went through and methodically beat all of my scores, talking shit the entire time. So I took back the first tier. And then last night I think he went through and beat me again. So I went back and just like scrudged a few tracks and beat him again on two or three of them before I have to do something else. But yeah, that happened, and that game is just great for that stuff, you know, the rapid restart. It kind of inspires that same kind of Tony Hawk mentality of just like at the first mistake, you're like, fuck it, start over and you know nothing's lost. You're right there. But as a result, it still has all that same texture draw in pop in stuff that the last trials had you kind of hope would go away. But if the trade off is a black screen for a second while we wait to draw that stuff in before showing it to you, or fuck it, let's go, I'll take fuck it, let's go every time, so it's probably the right decision. Elevator load. Yeah, it's really nice looking, like the just the amount of art custom art in each level is yeah, kind of crazy. It looks nice. It's also there's a ton of tearing and the PS four version, like he hitches up real bad. Yeah I didn't think it was that bad. Yeah, like they'll just stop for like like a second. I didn't see anything in a couple of spots, and you know, the timers not running, so you're not really losing anything. But with the flow man, Yeah, yeah, there's just some tracks that have it worse than others. And like there's just optimization stuff that you know, like a lot of people can plain about the PC version of the Last Game for just like straight up optimization. It just seems like that that problems maybe run rampant. I've been playing it on Xbox One also, and that version I think looks fine. It seems like it hitches up slightly less, but it still is not totally smooth. And they tear. They both tear like a mother's CC version seems like the good one here. Uh yeah, I don't know. I mean some people had a really rotten experience with the demo, so who knows. That version is not out yet, so uh yeah, I do like it. You know like that if you like, I feel like the recommendation there is like, if you're the sort of person that is already kind of into Trials and or is like very much into the leaderboard aspect of games like that and have someone that you can go at, you you will enjoy it. But I wish that there were like just tighter controls for I want to race against this one person's ghost, which you can do, but like, so I have two hundred people on my friend's list that are playing Trials, So if I'm looking for Lang, I need to go into their scroll up to wherever he is, uh and then select him and race against him specifically, whereas otherwise, you know, it's it's just I wish I could just lock that in and go like, okay, here, like here are the five people that I care about in Trials? Is my nesis? Yeah, like here here are these people. Let's just do it. That's why that's why you've got to turn off ghosts completely. Man, just going all in like nope, there'll be a follower. Man be a leader. No, that's you. You maximize your own time. You need forget about those people you need to see. It is very helpful to see their icons hitch up and get stuck in different spots or when they pull ahead of you, because then you know, I could be doing a lot better right here, like this section of the track, I'm sucking up. So the ghost stuff is actually even though they just show an icon and don't show you a ghost bike, and so you can see the rotation or how they're actually hitting the jumps. It's invaluable. Just two different philosophies. Man, you know my philosophy is the only philosophy that's it done. Uh yeah, I liked watching that stuff. I like knowing that I could just do this a little faster. And then you do that, and then you see the next guy and be like I could do this a lot fast, right, and then you see like ben Cello, and here's that I could. Fuck I'm not going to do this that fast. So but I don't know. That's I was watching laying stream a little bit on Sunday night. He and He and all that. He can be touched. So if I want to stream on the PS four and I don't want to use the camera as my voice input, what other options do I have? I mean, if you don't want to have voice input period, or I want to use something other than the camera. I don't know that you can. Really you might be able to use a headset, the headset or a Are there any other headsets addible headset? Are there? Has anybody found just a cell phone jack? It's not anything that fancy. I don't know. I mean people that's no because people were finding other headsets that would fit into that jack. I don't know. So I have no idea. I wonder has six sixty six doesn't. Yeah, he probably just uses the camera mic from the camera. Audio I think is mostly fine, even a few ye like I said, at like eight feet from the TV with speakers going well, I mean it's supposed to noose cancel out the sound of the TV a little bit, so not I don't know, give a shot sea sound. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I tested out. That's that's the all. Everyone's set up is different, you know, closer. Yeah, you're never gonna really know until clip you go a TriCaster there you go. Yeah yeah, so yeah, I'll play some more of that. That's for for better, for worse. Like you know, it's it's not the perfect trials game, but it is still a trials game, and I like trials games, So yeah, I like trials games. Yeah, I find them relaxing. Oh yeah, I do. I really do. Know. I can see that you think about something else, but you're kind of just crashing up against it. But I'm like at the second to last tier now, and it's just and at some point I was just like you reached that point where you're like, well, I'll get a bronze here, I guess because these tracks got really hard. So I've had I've had very little time to play the game, but I got hung up on a lot of the challenges. I've really been doing any of the challenge, doing a bunch of that stuff. But the ones, the ones I want to do the most are the ones that are so obscure you have no idea how to do them, and if you don't look up the game, you know, right, like ones that are unique to use track right, like I played tennis right, and stuff like this, like knock the Penguins into the lake. It's like, I don't see any fucking penguins on this track, right, How can I even begin approaching that? The Xbox go backwards and forwards. That's the extent of my interactions with this is the Xbox one like auto upload clips after you No, I haven't haven't seen it. Do that now? Yeah, be the perfect moment. He does have rumble triggers, but that's like, I would be a pretty good It's like the perfect the games that auto the auto upload, or the games you don't want to auto upload, and the games that you want auto upload don't like this. Dude did this in one shot? Check it out? All right? Yeah cool, that sounds download that. I had a really I had a really dumb bug happened on the PS four version. I was like, oh, I'm gonna save a clip of that, and I went in there and it had stopped recording like three minutes prior. Weird, Like, does that just happen? I have no idea. I have things supposed to be going all the time. It is. I barely use the clip thing on either system, and I just I just don't care. It is fun when he gets something wacky sometimes, Yeah, it's it's fun for bugs. Times wants to cow wants to can play the board game with you, And then you're like, man, I need to document that. Yeah, the world needs to know. Yeah, like when I got stuck on the geometry and Titan fault like that was the last time I used it. You know, we would not have the ascension of the Jackdaw without that feature. I think. I think that one moment totally validated that feature. Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess you're right. Let's see, I've spent some time playing bro Force. That's a fun game. I think you guys covered. Yeah, I think while I was out again, think it feels good. It does feel good. I just but the like the guy that throws dynamite sucks so much, and the way that it randomly switches from one character to the other every time you save someone bums me out because I always end up with that asshole. So when Brad and I were playing together, I enjoyed the chaos of the dynamite guy a lot. Even now a little bit more because one guy's got a gun and other guys and you switched so fast. Yeah, I think you're just changing constantly. But also I had that guy the first time you fight the helicopter. Yeah, he's amazing for that just stood up on that highlight. I keep getting Blade here. It just times well, if Blade and I'm trying to find a helicopter. I'm like, well, I kind of can't do this super well, just charges, right, I mean he's just sword sweat. Yeah, and his grenade is a is a like charge attack or yep. Did you figure out how to throw a grenade with him? Because he has a grenade count he's got three grenades, but it's his whip is what the grenade is. And you can actually climb with the whip. I don't know if you can whip stuff and climb, but I never figured out how to throw a grenade to launch something with him. Well, he might not have one. I mean, like I said, well, maybe maybe they shouldn't change the UI, but it's got like three grenades bottom there. I like that. I like playing with Brad because they're so short and crazy that with another person in there. Uh, it just it just it's one of the things where I wish that they were a little clearer about what early access means in that case, because I feel like the levels looped around on me without it telling me. It's just like, wait a minute, I'm just seeing the same stuff and now they're just more dogs and what is this game? Some of those extra modes were really fun and two player or like I thought the race was. Yeah, that's a lot of stuff that I wasn't able to try, just like race with it just exploding. There's a death match I tried. I jumped onto someone's online server and immediately got kicked off. It's like, all right, well whatever, Yeah, that that game is spirited. Let's say they really go for it. Also, is that game? Are they just like saying like, fuck it, dude Bro two is taking too long to come out, so we're making bro Force and fuck you guys. As I don't, like, wasn't sure what dude bro is going to be in the end. Yeah, I don't know, Like there was an update posted to that site like this month. Really yeah, so like that at some point there's still at least fronting, Like dude, brow two is a thing. If it ever was just like some long war joke. Yeah exactly. Why can't they just finish it? Yeah? I don't know. It's like super weird, but yeah, Bro Forces. It seems like it is eating that game's lunch, syndergizing other words. Uh So, playing Trialsfusion rupted me into starting to play Trials Front to Frontier, which is the iOS Trials game. How was that it's playable, you know, touchscreen front, forward and back and the tilt stuff. Is it? Is it like that game Motorbike? Yeah? Sure, okay, sort of kind of a rip off of that. Yeah, it's a it's a Motorbike rip off. They have packed that thing full of every single different free to play thing they could come up with. From a fuel gauge that goes down every time you start a race you have to wait for to fill back up. Wow, to like you can buy your way at it ye, to gems that you can use to speed up your like up when your upgrade. Your upgrades take a half hour to complete. You can spend gems to make it complete immediately and should make a dumb ninety nine cent or a free game that is every one of those where like you load it up and there's a timer before you can start. It's like DLC Quest but real but real. Yeah, just be like you can pay to start now, or you gotta wait for your fuel gauge to fill up. Sorry you hit some act, Sorry you wasted your turn. Yeah, i'd be pretty good. I wonder how many wanted sell millions? Right? Yeah? Yeah, so I don't know, like there's a costume. You can unlock in Trials Fusion by getting golds on tracks that are appearing both games, I guess, but it seems like the bikes are deliberately built in a way that you cannot get golds on a lot of the tracks. Oh that's tough. So it's like you never know, right Yeah, yeah, like you got a couple of golds, but tons and tons of silvers. I'm like, I don't know, would eat away? Not sure? Oh that's a game that can't do that because I feel like I'm kind of nailing it here. There's not that much I can eke out, just that doubt. Yeah, that's terrible. Yep, it's pretty nasty. It's pretty nasty because I feel that way even when I'm playing regular Trials of like, managine need to hire CC biker something, but having knowing that you could just pay possible. Yeah, Yeah, that's that's at weird. It's it's it's a bummer because the game seems like kind of well made, like it controls relatively well. And how much is it? Is it free? It's free. I'm downloading it right now. I'm very skeptical. Yeah, but you say it play as well? So yeah, but you know, at some point you're just like, well, I'm not it's it doesn't play so well that I'm willing to put money into it to make it, make it so I can keep playing or whatever. Like, I didn't see any good reason to put money into it. So so there's that played some effusion on the Vita. What's the what's the thing would come out there? Oh right, streaming it's kind of playable, sort of worked, not having an analog for Gas and Break, right, That's what I'm looking for my video games. Kind of playable sort of work. I mean, it was okay, let's say it was better than I expected because the TV was in use, but I wouldn't recommend doing it that way if you can help it. And then I tried to play Descent three, which was released on Steam, but they didn't do any work to it, so it doesn't really run particularly well my machine. It's like all the text is too big for the bubbles, and also the stuff the resolution is all weird, like it just for them. I looked around and I didn't see any you know, it seems like Descent too. I mean that's they open sourced all that stuff. So There's plenty of things available for the first two games, but Descent three seem like there was decidedly less there support the gravis orb controller or whatever wants a big ball on it that thank god, it's like, what's that thing? Call's thing? Calm forget the ball. I don't know. I can't remember. I mean, what's in your what's in your game port on your computer? Now he's got anything plugged in? I mean you see, okay, it's lpt ones, you know, no game port. I guess actually it does have a game port. It's it's you know, it's where pugged with MIDI stuff in. Does you have a game port on your on your No it doesn't. I don't have a sound card, but I think sound cards. Do you still have that port? Do? They don't they USB? What does even? What is even the current sound blast? I wouldn't even know X five. I thought X five was kind of old. Okay, it's I think, aren't they all external boxes now? No, still make internal cars. Every so often I think about buying one, just in hopes of like getting like lower latency for MIDI devices and that sort of stuff. A lot of people talk like the turtle beach cards are good. Yeah, I don't know. The only thing I've heard that would make me get one is the external boxes in out boxes you can get so you don't get case noise from you, you know, and bus noise and stuff from and from that. So the last sound card I bought was like an autogy or something like that, and it had a breakout box that had like a FireWire port on it and MIDI in and out, like proper MIDI in and out, not game port to MIDI conversion, and like speed if connectors and weird shit like that. And it was actually kind of nice, yeah, for like limited specific cases of like, oh now I have a FireWire port that's up front sound blaster Z. Okay, here's to be the hotness. Now, how much is it? I don't know, I'm on their site. Yeah whatever, Yeah, Like one the card is encased in like this like cartridge looking thing. Oh you know what's good? Then? It's like I said, I feel like somebody pulled the rug out from undernoth sound blaster. It's one day they woke up and somebody said, nobody wants sound cards anymore. Right, It's like the stuff's on the motherboard now, and it's fine when when whoa whoa we makes sound cards. Hey what let me tell you about EAX technology and what it's gonna do for you for thief. Uh yeah, yeah. I kind of felt bad for them because they at some point they got into like, you know, hardware MP three players, and you know that's like I had one, Yeah, and that's creative lab. Probably not a great market for them anymore, either the not an iPod or iPhone market or just cell phone. Yeah. Then they bought, they bought Cambridge sound Works started making speakers. Yeah, if they got into all kinds of creative labs, weird ass company. My first couple of CD rom drives were creative products. Minds too, they were, They were it for a while. Get that all thirty two. If you didn't have enough table syth this is motherfucker sound blaster or get the fuck out. That's right, your gus Max and hit the fucking road, Get out of here, Get this garbage out of here, ad lib Gold Disney sound source. Is that rolling roll out of here? Uh? Yeah, that's that's the stuff I played. SENT three didn't work so well. Yeah, I was disappointed. So I remember really enjoying that game. Yeah you said you jumped into a little fract, right, I did, but not not like to dig in. Yeah, no, I didn't uncover anything. I nutty, Yeah you were. You were worried about doing a quick look. I think I think what got recorded is a very representative sample. You can see why I was right. Yeah, totally. But I feel like that's like a great cross section of that game. It's a really crazy puzzle game. I think it looks sick. Yeah, yeah, I love to look at that game. I think it sounds really fantastic too, So I got a surprised how quiet parts of it are. Yeah, well, you know, you gotta turned that working on and you're bringing sound back. Just this the puzzle part is just what a weird concept, intense, it's neat. You guys talked all about packs last week. We did. How was your packs? How was the produced panel? We could? It was good? It was I have audio of it and yeah, and a slide show. Okay, I figure out how to put that up somehow. Yeah, I don't know. It's not video, so I have no idea what I'm doing. Right. That was good. It was fun, and I think I'm sure you guys talked all about it, but it was a fun packs. Yeah. Time any of the bouncers are listening to this, and I don't know how that enforcers, sorry the enforcers sugar glass getting out the carpet is but I saw him with a vacuum. Did not seem like he was gonna make it by the time the next panels from though. Uh. It seemed like it was sticking in the in the car like you know, like sugar probably would if it got crushed. A couple of people try to put that in their mouths and learn that it just because it says sugar glass treat. Yeah. Uh, A couple of people have to learned that the hard way. Apparently, don't eat glass. Don't eat class any kind of glass, class real glass. Just don't. It's not Do not grind up glass and put it in someone's food. Okay, that one I didn't know about. Okay, yeah, don't I mean unless you really don't like them. Uh. Yeah, that was a that was a fun little Packs. I think that show is fantastic. I don't know how to spreading it out over the course of every week we'll go but Packs weekly. I still think it's one of my favorite things going for video game shows. Did you play anything it packs? Did I play any pack? Yeah? Yeah, we talked about it on the panel. Uh, I guess that's true. Yeah. I don't want to kill time here. But hopefully we'll get see some of those builds or some of those games start creeping in king to some indies. We're hopeful, we'll hopeful we'll get a copy of Bounding in here before. Yeah, you're great. I want to see that dance. We'll dance. Yeah, I saw you guys played uh crowd Escape? Yeah? Yeah, how is that? It's cool? Yeah? Yeah, okay, it's weird, it's it needs, you know, need some attention for sure, but you know the fundamentals of it. Yeah, not a game yet, or it's not a two player game. It's a two player yeah, I don't know. Needs some more hut elements or something kind of saying like, hey, here's what's really going it's a meat yeah yeah, yeah, Well all right, what do you say we talk about some news? Okay, sure, what's news? Man's twenty fifth anniversary of the release of the Game Boy April twenty first, nineteen eighty nine. It was released in Japan. Game Boy can rent a car now? Yes, when did it come out here? It was later in eighty nine, I think same year. Yeah, that sounds right. So what are they doing? Were there any headlines about game Boy becoming a game man? Nope? Okay, good, that's that's fertile ground right there, playing your seat. Yeah, let's get that out there. Uh, what are they doing anything? Is it now the year of the game? No? No, I don't think they're doing anything. That game Boy from h jeez? Was it? Was it on the Super Show where they had you know, Simon Belmont, Mega Manpas Captain and yeah, game Boy was on there, rad dude. Yeah, yeah, that was later season stuff. You know they had to add in a couple of more characters. Wait, game Boy, game Boy? He was a character? Was it? Was it just an anthropomorphized game Boy? Was actual character? Thin thin old game boy with legs? No? I think it was just game screen that had like two squares pixels for her eyes and then like pixels from math. So was it like RTD two? Just like Beeping Boot? You did just Beeping Boot a lot. I think they found him. I don't know. I have to I have to go back and watch. Yeah, get your Sea Go get your season two DVDs out. I think I might have to take some screen captures for us. What if he ran and do a magician that turned him into a boy, That would be good. But what would you do if you saw somebody Costs playing Captain inn at packs not recommends, I don't know, which was just like fly into a murderous rage? Why why Captain? I don't know. Le with me, man, I don't know that dude, I wonder I see where he is. I don't know. That shit was dumb. Captain n was pretty dumb. She was dumb, me and the Captain and he was all right, No, that shit was dumb. It wasn't his fault he got transported into video game world. No, that that that was. It wasn't. That was always a dumb fucking show. He can hit his belt and he just I just hated. I feel like as the video game demographic going in that at that time period, it was just kind of I can't fucking watch this because it's so fucking stupid. It was just like all these all their riffs on the characters were so bad they were spot on. You're talking to Simon Belmont, he was like nails on chalk board. He was. He was a numb nut. The Mega Man, the Mega Man, he smoked like seven packs of stur is the best Mega Man impression I've heard. Come on, we gotta cook out that Princess Cheeze Mega Man. Yeah, uh yeah, the Princess and and then just mashing up you know, Eggplant Wizard with Mother Brain and you know King Hippo. They just got together. It's like Leadion of Doom over there. Yeah, she was stupid smart and jo watching that show. I don't know. Did you guys get game Boys right around launch? You guys getting I can't remember when that line man. I know, I didn't get the four tap or whatever it was the four score or no, that was the whatever one whatever it was that you can plug into one wait on the first game Boy, I just had that one link cable I didn't have. They did a four player thing eventually, yeah, yeah, okay, whatever that thing was like cable separate or to come with it. It came with I think regular link cable. But does I remember playing two player Tetris? Yeah? Oh it was like a black one right, yeah, yeah, maybe, but like the four playerffing came out. Years later and was Yeah. At that point, I was like, I don't. I don't, like, I've never used that link cable. He's like twice the whole time I had. I had it in my like game Boy carrying case just in case I meet somebody Else's kind of we played two player Tetris at school. Yeah, I remember doing that. Yeah, I think tech. Yeah, like I may have played some two player Tetris right around the time it came out, but that that was kind of it. I love that that game Boy was pretty good. Batteries were a lower off. You know, make sure you kept Harrison Doubles with you mine, did you guys? Did your develop those like the vertical lines on the sides of the screen, Yeah, that's that's dirt, and you can clean the cartridges of really connectors to actually fix that. Super weird. It was a problem with the screen. It's not yah, man, I wish I had known. Yeah, did you toss stars? No, it's still somewhere in my parents' house. And that's the thing. I feel like, if I found mine put batteries in, it would boot up like fucking brick. It totally would. Yeah, Like a screen that was a two inches by two inches and I found a game Boy color. I guess it would probably would have been a color not that long ago. And that thing fired right up, and it had my game Boy camera in it, which still had saved pictures are fit for consumption. They It was a weird It was a weird time. I really enjoyed. I like the game Boy a lot, but I think the game Boy SP was the PGPA, the the Clamshew one. Yeah, the GBA GBA at that point, Yeah, I think that was the peak for me of game Boys or Niendo hand Hills, Nintendo handheld. Really yeah, I would argue. I would argue the d S light, no superior GBA. I'll take GBA and that good that particular model. The good SP didn't come out until you were off the game Boy, though, like the real SP with the proper backlight came out at the very end. I think you were. You're maybe sugarcoating d SP a little bit like it was. It was the right size of fit wherever you every You're right everything about it except for the light, because the light at the time it was just that shitty like edge light, you know, where they stuck a light bulb like on one edge of the screen, right, remember that? Yeah, I don't know. They didn't come out with a good backlight version of it. I still have an afterburner, which was the aftermarket light kit for the original GBA in this shipping box. I just never opened it because I was just like, I just don't even care. I had a magnifying glass, ye remember that. I felt like a regular game Boy, like the like plug in stereo speakers for boom and baseifying glass. Yet. Oh yeah, I remember that too. Yeah, I don't know, Like, yeah, it's it's the game Boy. It just kind of cements my feelings that like handheld gaming had its place and time for people of a certain age and at some point you're like old enough to want better or you know, now it's all different with phones and everything else, Like the competitions a lot stranger, But well, I think I feel like it's got the same thing that good phone games do. Like game Boy games were very different than their console brethren, right, they just had to be because it was the limitations of the system. Sure, they were just talking about that. Mortal Kombat Port was perfect, and it was stuff that was designed well to take advantage of the system. Was off the same thing with phone games, right, design it well, and I feel like the problem I run into now with handhelds are ports or like, hey this is we could have made this got a war game for a console, but like check it out, you're playing it on your PSP. It's like I didn't want to play this on the PSP. I wish you had made this on a console. Sure, yeah, you guess play cat Trap. No, I'll bring a cart. Yeah, bring in your cat Trap. I gotta find my old game Boy games. Those were Lucy's. I don't know if I put those in a bin or anything. Those just got scattered to the wind. Yeah. I really like Super Mario Land when I came out like that was getting a play fantastic game or Summer Yeah, fans was great? Legends or looks good? What's that Final Pansy Legends? Yeah? Yeah it was pretty good. Yeah, I think I'll get the final boss with the chainsaw, just just one hit ripman hat. I remember it being pretty tough. Yeah, uh is there a Castlevania on there? Motocross media, Yeah it was okay, Yeah it wasn't bad. Yeah. Alleyway Yeah, Alleyway and they kind of breakout thing. Yeah, like arconoid thing. I had power ups, right, yes, okay, more of an arcanoid thing. Then. Uh yeah. There were some good early game Boy games, and at some point they started getting better and better and better. And I'm like this, M I don't think I kind of grew out of it at some point. What do you think I got a color. I think it was that Boy color half step. Yeah. Yeah, it was stupid, but it was I don't know, it was welcome change. I mean the best thing about the Game Boy Color is just smaller. Yeah, it was. It was a better system than the original Gameboy. The screen was better and the backlighting all that stuff. Like I never bother to get a pocket because you know, that's kind of that's a shitty half yeah, but then basically to get the form factor of the pocket with the little extra color bonus. Sure, you know, they started making some games that actually looked better, right and stuff like that. It was worth it. The color was garbage, it was worth it. GBA though, and that sp Yeah, the GBA was a great system. Yeah yeah, well, yes, that first one was a little disappointing. I mean, yeah, I just you know, for light backlighting, you know, like the Yeah, it took them some iterations to get the hardware exactly where it need to be. But I mean the games were great once the sp was out and the games were yeah flowing. Yeah, that was fantastic. It's a great pocket size. I always wanted to see a micro but I've never actually seen one. I've got I've got one on them, sure, Jeff has one. They're not so great, really fun small, really small, Like it's awesome because the screen is so high, like it's it's amazing because the screen is really small, but like you can make stuff out on it, but also it's just too small paper clips, so less little little thing. Yeah, well, congratulations game Boy. Yeah uh and uh is it was that Goompey? Yep? Yeah yeah, yep. Wonder Swan? How old's wonder Swan? It is somehow a billion years old? Yeah, somehow older than the Game Boy. In some weird way, I felt through some kind of warm hole, like this thing is even more just garbage. WonderSwan evolved alongside the dinosaurs. Yeah, so they're not doing anything, not that I've heard. Okay, I don't want whatever. Let's see some sales figures hit those March MPD numbers, which normally like who cares, but you know, let's quickly go over it. The the announcements, there's some some discrepancies and some of the announcements here and the way they're being announced. Microsoft announced the Xbox One had shipped in five million consoles, whereas a little while before, Sony announced that the PlayStation four had sold through seven million. So Microsoft kind of making that move to here's what we're shipping to retailers, which never sounds good, especially when the competing console is giving out the here's what we're actually selling number. That never looks good. Titan Fall was the best selling game, followed by Infamous, which, you know whatever. Of course we know actual numbers though on Titan far right, No, I don't think they don't really give out actual numbers. And you know, the viability of the mpds as a and all be all source has always been in question, and it's even worse because they don't track digital no, right, and when this is a cap that when is this March calendar month? I think, okay, so the end of March. Yeah, I'm surprised. I think that. For to me, the interesting thing there is that the two games were four new Consoles's not three sixty version of right, yeah, because that didn't come out until April. I was gonna say I was present from the Speed South Park, but I feel like, you know, how many people are out there with PS four is like desperate for a new PS four game. Sure, yeah, so I bet that had a huge attach rate. Yeah, it's just it's it's good to see new consoles just you know, hitting those marks and having software that's selling and stuff. I just I look forward to the day when we're not in this area of like, oh, what's what's it coming out for? It's coming out for everything or just for current consoles, just the old consoles doing it. Seems like that's the way it's going, right. Are a bunch of the big tent poles this fall in that boat we'll see like Assassin's Creed and Batman specifically, didn't they haven't They said, yeah, yeah, so you know, some of those bigger franchises will get there, and you know, like the faster we all get there, the better. It depends what Assassin's Creed you're talking about, right, right, Yeah, they're a well the big one one of the matters, oh Man drawn lines yeah. Uh yeah, So that's that's exciting to see. And uh yeah, I don't know. It seems like people want the consoles they're they're selling, regardless of the difference in the way they're reporting the number. You know, at least seems like people are interested in these consoles and the games that are available for them. So, yeah, we've got another holiday season. Yeah, we get at least three or four years out of this thing before we're playing Android based at top boxes. Uh yeah. Uh. Marty O'Donnell, longtime Bungee musician, is no longer with the company. He said on Twitter that he was terminated without cause. Wow, that's a that's it doesn't leave a lot of speculation. No, no, it does not. Well, I actually it's turned out it doesn't leave a ton of speculation. It's like, well, why would they do that? He's the guy that did all the music for all this stuff. Why would you do it? Yeah, I don't know. Like employment issues, we'll never know. No, you know, who knows what could have happened in that situation. I would love to talk to someone, maybe Chris Tilton would know. But like I gotta believe in house composer is a relatively unique thing. Yeah. Probably. I wonder if that just became untenable as a or if you know, they're at a point where they're you know, they've been working on Destiny for so long, they have nothing out there in the marketplace since going independent, really, you know, at some point and they're like this is very expensive. So is he the guy who scored Halo? Yeah? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you know the funt Stone Kids thing. Yeah, he did that. Yeah, what the fuck are they doing? I know, I wonder if they were like, no, we've gotten on music, we could do like seven more. Halo just reversed him, you know, maybe like his you know, you know, the game will contain music that he composed for that game, and Destiny wasn't he also doing a collaboration with Paul McCarthy. Yeah, yeah, it's contributed to Destiny in some way. I don't know what if they just asked him, like, hey, for like the next Halo games or whatever else, he's got any ideas? You just hum something right into this record. You think you saw like the stems and stuff for all that's just like drum tracks and stuff like that for back up. Yeah, I just wanted we're just archiving everything. Cool. Thanks and your key by the way, right, Yeah, I mean, you know, who knows if there were large one would assume there would be larger issues at play. They definitely are ye uh yeah. Maybe he's just playing too loud, man, Marty, can you turn it down? God, I'm just too fucking you know what. I've had it. I've had it every day for the statements from the Bungee end have been, you know, predictably, we wish, we wish him the best, and you know, we don't. Parson's statement after that that was like sentences. It was like, we don't take this stuff lightly, okay, all right, yeah yeah, So that's a weird happening. He's responsible for some of my favorite game music ever. I enjoy his guys will be fun. Uh. There's been a weird delay for the Xbox One version of Amazing Spider Man two. Speaking of stories that have very few details attached to them. All the other versions are I do out April twenty nine, and there's just this like statement from Activision saying we are working with Microsoft in an effort to release the Amazing Spider Man two video game on Xbox One. Licensing issues one would think that no, because it was announced, and then I guess at some point like retailers kind of were informed or whatever and started canceling pre orders and also other stuff. So it's just kind of like, is this even happening for this console? Is it happening on a three sixty? Mm? Let me look, I think it might be actually yeah, who knows. Yeah, sort of a weird one. I just wonder if, like, oh, that version of the game just just wasn't up the snuff came in broken, and they're like, oh, we can't do this on this timetable because something bad happened. We were building this game weird in a way that works everywhere but here. Yeah, it is out on Xbox three sixty and retail is currently listing the Xbox One version for July first, which is not a real date. Maybe there's like console specific stuff and I'm pretty sure who knows July first is the date? Nope, not anymore new calendar okay, new new Gregorian calendar. Okay, Yeah, so that that is a strange one. Uh can I like, there's probably some interesting story behind that one, but maybe it is actually something totally Yeah, these are this is the link together. Man, they're holding it so that he can do his soundtrack for that version of the game. Maybe, like Marty and like grand kirkup again, it's gonna form a super band, yep, gonna get together. Who's the guy who does like music live, Tommy Tellarrico, Tom, Yeah, they's joining. Tellarrico's right. Yeah. I think the odds are of Marty o'donald working on Halo five in some capacity. Oh. I bet that if he was available and they were, you know, if they were, that would be a good get for Microsoft three four three absolutely to say like, hey, we've re teamed with the composer, even if he didn't join the studio, right, if he just didn't music, Yeah, sure, that would be a really good that'd be weird, you know, after the reaction some of the reactions to Halo four, like they probably could use some sort of like oh, we're returning to the things you liked about Halo guys. Sorry, sure, Marty, what do you got? Check this out? Like this? Okay? And then a flute just compan I don't know, we're getting Ringo Starr in here to do some stuff. What's your favorite, Drew, what's what's your most memorable of the Halo Music's dying that one. Okay, yeah, the guitar Truth and Reconciliation Suite, which which movement though the first? Okay, everybody loves the first? Uh? What else here? There might be a new Blood Rain in the works, say what? I don't know. There's a teaser page up on Arc system Works site, something called b RCS that looks like it'll be it's still not making sense revealed sometime in the next few days the Guilty Gear developers. Yeah, no, that who's got Blood Rain? I think Majesco published Blood Rain. I don't know Blood Rain Cat System Yeah, I don't know. So there's like anime drawing of vampire girl with some some medallion that people looked at and when like that's the Blood Rain medallia. So do you remember that? Who knows? But two D Blood Rain Yep. That wasn't terrible. That was all right, It was interesting, but like, huh, I don't know who put that out. Majesco. I think put that. It was way forward, Yeah, way forward to the work on it. Yeah. Uh, Majessico a thing. Yeah, Midnight City is Majesco' is like, oh really hip Indian farm, Like, we've got some money from all these SpongeBob carts. Yeah, that was my reaction to Midnight City seems awesome. It's just it's just weird that Majessico was the company fronting them. Are they publishing Crowdskap? Yeah? Cool. Jessico the company that, uh, what the fuck was that game Altered Life? Alter? No? No, No? The advant Rising so basically put a bullet in Evant Rising in the Psychonauts. Were there two big four ays into the like mainstream game. I feel like Advent Rising was like the pitch. When I remember hearing about it was like, this is the fucking franchise. It's gonna take over the world. We're building books and everything around it, and three games. But we didn't. We didn't bother checking to see if the game was any good at all. We just went full steam ahead on this million dollar thing contest. Yeah, and we're not doing games anymore. Were these Nickelodeon cartoons on on game Boy cartridges? What was turned out that made us a zillion dollars? I think my sister has let's blow it on games. I need to check out advant Ring. I actually ever played it in Zumba. Right. Oh yeah, um, I think you're right. I think you're right. And who knows they make like microwaves in Japan, probably right, So, you know, in a couple of days here, we'll know what this thing is and see if it's actually a new blood Rained game or if it's I don't know, blood Rains of character in the New Guilden New Blaze Blue or I don't know, I don't know. Uh. The list of names departing Naughty Dog has grown. Nate Wells, who's art director who signed on there in twenty twelve after like a thirteen year stint at Irrational uh, has left for Giant Sparrow the Unfinished Swan developers. Wow. Yeah, that's a crazy move. M I mean, I don't know who's gonna come in there and be like, guys, Blue, you're fucking genius. Okay, all right, yeah, I just you know, to have to have both freaking Bioshot games under his belt and then end up at a tiny endie developer, like that's kind of a and the last of us, I mean, you know, yeah, I mean yeah, he too. He obviously came in pretty late on that project. Yeah, but that's but yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like, this guy has was kind of the one of the head art guys on some of the like you know, yeah, it was visually interesting games in the last decade. Yeah, it makes sense that you want to do weird Yea, yeah, totally, that's what I mean. It's like, you know, to kind of scale it down and go do something super crazy. I know what they're working on. Could be their game is announced, it is, it is announced, but then they the name is announced, No it's not. They they came back and said, that's actually not the name and it's just the unfinished Uh, it's just the next game from Giant Sparrow. That's nothing so finished Swamp. Yeah. Uh so that's at that point. We've got Amy Henning. Of course, we went to Visceral, and we've got Justin Richmond who was a director there, who's gone to Riot. It seems like there's a pattern forming of people departing not with no kind of no I mean, you know, like everyone wants to plug in their own little narrative and tie it all together. You know. It's it's also like the it's certainly possible that something's going on, that something has changed there that has made people want to leave, But it's also entirely possible that they're like kind of between projects and they're like, hey, this is a good time for me to re evaluate if this is where I want to stay and the other one is uncharted, right, well there was. There was also the one this afternoon and just see that one. Oh yeah, right, the guy, the guy who did I'm not clear on how he tied in, but he did the voice over in the uncharted for trailer and was definitely a role in the new game, and he told im to day like, my role has been recast, I'm no longer part of the game. All right. Uh? Traumatic changes are how recurring to that game? For whatever reason? There's unfarted unfarted? Yeah, what else is going on? Capal Nothing? No, no, I was gonna ask, because there's a new one charted in development. They announced that trailer. Yeah, yes, they put out a teaser trailer when they announced it right around launch of the PS four. Okay, whatever that Keiley TV show was, they showed that video there, don't remember. Interesting, uh uh, Todd stash Wick is the guy I was talking about. We had a role in the new one Charted He has also gone to Visceral and is now helping with that Star Wars game. Wait, so what like as a as a role like a voice in the game, or is he also what does that mean mean? You know, I don't know, just like cleaning the voice actors don't go to Visceral, asked by a game. Visceral Games recently hires Stashwick as co writer Run and sund Okay, so he's voice actor slash writer. I'm not saying voiceover is all he was doing chart. I did not know that, Okay, all right, Yeah, I think people are just you think this stuff is popping up and circulating now since Amy left, or you think this like you think this is very possible this would have hit the news cycles like if she didn't. I mean, you know, these are relatively high profile people in a short stretch of time, so I think, you know, you could want to piece it together and go like, oh, well, something's going on over there. But you know, like this shit happens around this time when new consoles come out, and you know that there's that point in the cycle when you know, well, I don't know. Also, look at Naughty Dog, like ostensibly what they're working on They are porting Last of Us up to PS four and making a new uncharted game. That sounds like a good time to sit back and go like is this what I want to be doing? And for some people the answer to be no, Like the answer will be like, I want to go work on new IP, I want to go do this, I want to try something new. You know, that's that's natural for people to say that. But you know, at some point you're like, ah, this seems like a lot of people meeting that ends with are we making a new Jack and Daxter or not? Right? Just answer this question. No, we're not all right, I'm out. All right, I'll see you later, she told me, Yeah, she said thirteen years ago. Yeah, man, I don't know. Some talented folks there, or at least you know, from my perspective, very good games have come out of the studio. So they have. They have made a lot of very popular products. Yes, definitely. Uh. And then the last week, the last last bit of news that I've got here that sell Damage HD thinks coming out and I don't know why, I don't know. It's out this week. It's ten bucks. It's crossed by. We mentioned it when it got announced as some dumb thing. So here I am closing the loop. I feel like I met a guy who really things coming out. I think I think I did too. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know who who would. Yeah, Hey, did any news come out of Packs East that that Alpha Centauri Spiritual successor thing was announced? They showed that Borderland's presequel thing for the first time there, that's more or less it. The Transistor release date was just prior to packs yep, I do remember that was that May twentieth. It's coming out, so yeah, a handful of little things. And when's Evolve come out? I don't know. I think it's probably a fault game. I'm not sure. So I don't know anything about that game. It looks cool, it looks okay. I un announced The Giant Sparrow Project is not a sequel too and finished swas. It's not a million miles away either. If you like the surreal experiences and games that aren't much like anything you've ever played before, then you'll probably like it. What was the name that got out even though I guess it's not the name and to eat it something Finch? Yeah, eat a Finch. Yes, all right, Vivian Clark praised. Yeah, like with some like pairs better than kind of like a like a pair of reduction and a prime. Oh that was that was actually the big piece of news that came out of Paxxie. So that so to drink or pros comeing Xbox one with connect support. H yeah, so that's it for news. Uh, how how do you guys feel about some correspondence from our audience? How are they delivered? Electronic mails? Yes, so I've got electronic mails here. We should shorten that up, all right. I've got some electronic ms that were sent in some ems ems. Yeah, yeah, some ems. Send your ems to BombCast at giant bomb dot com and uh, we'll we'll pair through them and ead them. I don't know, I'm gonna brad what you got. Let's like about emails? I work, No, we won't catch on. But where we've always been, Kookie, that's right. We're a little left center over here, a weird, a little out there out there and left field. At the lunch, I'll say I haven't eaten lunch in years because I'm already out eating somebody else's lunch lunch, eating someone else's lunch cinema, totally alpha. This is the emails portion portion of the show. BombCast at giant bomb dot com is the address to send your emails too, if you wish them to be considered for inclusion in this part of this show. Not this week's show. I already picked him for this week, but a future week. Okay, time travel doesn't exist yet? Who's that from? That's that's just me telling you? Are you really excited? All right? Eric write Center says, do you have any advice for people who want to experience E three without going into the actual show floor? Bars, hangouts, places to visit, giant Bomb, community meetups, et cetera. We want to experience E three, but is it worth going to la if we aren't on the show floor? Thanks? Oh no, not even remotely. This is not a It is a business event. It is not a community event. It is not a get next to nothing out of hanging around the convention center. There's like peripheral parties and stuff like that. Yeah, but I mean you can't just walk into those. A lot of them are inviting trade Yeah, yeah, it's it's it's a trade show. It's not really a but it's not a convention. Maybe people do do stuff. I don't know, maybe the people have like local hanging. If you lived in La I would say it'd probably be worth driving around the Staple Center. Yeah, let's see, look at the ads and all the ridiculous giant ads before it starts, like days before it starts. Don't adds to the traffic? Yeah sure, yeah, but yeah, like there's just not a whole lot to do if you're not Yeah, you wouldn't. Convention wouldn't really anything. If you want to walk into a giant convention hall field with the video games should go to packs, yeah, or you can like game Spot does fantastic coverage of that show. If I weren't there backpacks and stuff. Yeah, they do. They they do a very good Uh here's what's big at the show during a stage show, and then you see the gameplay demo, Like you probably see more watching that show than if you even went to the show because they just bring that stuff up. And then you know, we'll hopefully have our nightly live show going. I believe we have closed on the location. Okay, so that should be interesting and then that hopefully that'll be very cool. Yeah, yeah that I'm potentially very excited about that location. So I recommend don't go. Just don't take a shower for like three days. Find your like most populated mass transit system, load up your phone, squeeze in just between people, and just like put your headphones on, but turn them up real loud. And that's a kind of E three Yeah, play like like whatever generic like electro pop song you can think of more popular at that moment, some evanescence and like waiting like a giant line and like sweat and kind of just be like, oh my gosh, should we got something to eat? Just ask the guy next to you, should we got something to eat? I? Where's the food? Should we get out of here? I've been online for two hours and that's and then like wonder why those people are there at all, because if they have time to go wait in line and eat, then for four hours, Yeah, what are they doing in the goddamn way? Yeah, that's it's just not that kind of show. Uh. Here is an anonymous email. Uh. You know, this stuff is some of the stuff I was trying to move on from. But this, since this one is tied to video games, this is more of that hate speech. This is yeah, it's a little bit. This is this is a little more information from you know, from the inside of one of the industry's most secretive developers. Oh boy, So this anonymous email here starts like this, Hey, I wasn't going to ride in with any of this UK beef stuff because I've lived all over the UK and I really don't give two shits about regional arguments. It's just a distraction for idiots in the UK to get into so they don't have to think about how we're a tiny and soon to be insignificant country. But then some suit wearing twat of a banker wrote in calling everyone who has good morals scum, and I've got to step in. Fuck that guy. I work at Rockstar North and our studios wedged between some banking investment corporation, and every time I share a lift with these people, that's it's elevator means elevator. It's not like the lift. No, it's not like drugs. No, it's no U share a lift with these people while they're talking their bullshit. I have to grit my teeth not to punch them. Every so often, when I feel pissed off at them, I will go to one of their floors and take a horrendous shit in their bathroom and won't flush. I've even began eating food. I know we'll give me disgusting shits, so it's as bad as possible. It's my way of a dirty protest against these soulless pricks fuck bankers. So you know you've just now started banker That sounds that sounds like we started it last week, banker beef. That sounds like exactly the kind of rage against the machine that you need to make a grand theft auto games. I think so, I think so, And that's probably you know, in that emission one of the games, corporate leave a dirty protest and flee. Yeah, Sean Wright Tenna says, just wondering, how do you guys clean all your game stuff? You guys try to keep stuff clean. I do when it gets I think the techinal term is money. There's mung. Yeah. Sometimes I'll eat and play games and that shure winds up. Well if you mean controllers, you know, and try to keep my hands clean when I'm using them. Yeah, so they don't get that nasty. My consoles get super dusty, yep, heat that yeah, yeah, rust them off I do it just there's fucking dust is the word. The dust keeps coming or dust. I can never I can never dust enough to get rid of all the dust. There's got to be a better way. There has to be, Yeah, a shield, Spray it on, yeah, wrap it in. Yeah. So keyboards do you guys wipe them down regularly? Eventually my keyboard gets to a point where it's is unmanageable and then I have to take some kind of action. But yeah, yeah, it usually involves an old toothbrush, okay, unplugging and to start scrubbing. Yeah, but yeah, I don't know, you like you know we I've we played some eight bits Nintendo games on the site last week, and for that I had to kind of resort some cotton swabs and alcohol. That's just restoration. That's a whole other that's not maintenance. Those things are those cartrides. Some of those cartridges were filthy. Yeah yeah, yeah, and that some people like to water it down. Some people say they're just like, oh, straight, alcohol is bad for him. You know, that might be right. I don't know. I don't know anything about clonic cleaning and anything. I just those games worked after I did what I did to them. So I used to say it's probably truely, you know, if you do the slow hot breath on the game, you moisten it up and the contacts might be good, but they're gonna rust out. Yeah, yeah, and moisture on it. I don't know. It's a lot of At some point you might need like a light wire toothbrush. That's probably bad. That's probably bad advice. I don't know. I don't ask the internet. I opened my controllers every once in a while and just get in there. No kidding, yep, I don't know. Button stick yeah, and stuff like that. So oh man, the the oh god, keep it together, wake up, fellow, Oh gamails. The R one on my my dual Shock four has started sticking. Yeah, a lot of very sad. I know. That's a is it Does it get worse or is it just an occasional No? No, I think it's just an occasional. I know that's been a pretty widespread problem with the most pretty sad started happening my dual my PS three controller. It's not a duel Shock, it's the original one. Wait six six yeah, no, drifts like the character will just start moving in a direction. What is that that's the sticks just sticks. Never I've never heard of that happening on a dual shock. Those things are usually pretty tight. But like half of the three sixty controllers are there kept sticks that drift? Okay, it's not even like it's it's not necessarily drift. It's not like just get loose in the center and then they'll rest at a point that is not in the dead zone. Yep, maybe that's it. Something like it varies, and it varies between games because some games use a bigger dead zone than But this is like I can't even turn him back, like he just starts running forward. Well, it's just like I don't know what's going on here. That's broken? Yeah, what is that? Is that the only stop that take the controller? Throw it as far as you can. I have those things, the six axes whatever, I have always felt so flimsy to me. Yeah, I've always wondered if you could grasp the two handles and just twist and just break the fucking well I've got the control of Yeah, is that happening like Dark Souls a couple of times? That's not fun? Can I try it? Are you really done with that controller? I'd have to figure out exactly because I have two, I have to figure out which one it is. But then yes, okay, oh my god, try to twist one and a half. Really excited, we've kind of like we have one. That's right, we have there's a bizarre shortage of of ps three controls. Take them to the bathroom, break twisting them and a half. I needed plan our four over here. It's the only way I can get through the day, all right, uh, Ross writes in Ross is one of our part of our moderation team. Okay, Ross, thanks, Ross. Thanks. I don't particularly have an affinity to any one location, and I can't say that I hold much hatred to the place toward a place either. That said, fuck London is probably the best attitude to have here in the UK. How can one place be not only the home of the dubious Matt Pascuale but also giant bomb moderator Sweep. So yeah, he's got a point. He's got a point. There's nothing dubious about Pascal. He definitely sucks, but sweeps. He was right to put many sneer quotes around the word moderator when referring to Sweep, because fuck that guy. These bee females. This guta stops question. Yeah, now it's all moderator beef. The female beef males, stop the beef male beefy five layer beef males. Yes, just a crunch rap of hatred. Josh writes In says, a few weeks ago you mentioned the Pringles guy by the name he's usually called Pringles Guy. I'm currently appearing in a national campaign of Pringles commercials, and one of the things we learned from the folks the ad agency on set is that his name is Julius. What the fuck you are not working with you to get out of wherever you are? This is a porn Yeah, that go out the bus is not the Pringles guy. He pops, he will stop, just go, Just turn her out, it's not too late. I also learned just how many Pringles I could eat before my break point. I thought you'd like to know ps. Ruffles are for fucking hillbillies who probably wear sandals, job interviews and wipe standing up. Okay, how can he tell us he knows how many pringles he can eat before his breaking point? Many? Yeah, I know that's yeah. Also what kind of pringles? This is important? Those pizza pringles I thought were pretty good. I got those in Japan a couple of times. Uh Rob Wrights and says I was browsing through it tunes when I came across the scrill X song from Far Cry three in the Memories of Burning the fuck out of Everything stout was one of my favorite moments in gaming that year. Were they far cry for announcement hopefully coming up sooner rather than later. What do you guys think they could do to top the last one you need? I mean, the rumors about being able to ride elephants in the Himlaas sound pretty great. Yeah, that's a but to what song? Right? That's the thing is, like, what is the what is the attitude of that game? Do they stay on that track or do they go make it like super serious? No no room for interpretation. There is a song that I was listening to before a quick look one time. Well, Jeff, you know what it was. It was a lady who has her channel now that she streams, And I said, is this real? Yeah? Oh you were talking about Littlebbi though. Yeah, it was a Little Debbie riding elephants and the Himalayas. The Little Debbie song The Squirt by Little Debbie. Sure, that'd be terrible. But you're inside the got cut the elephant open, and then you have to pretend to march across the Himalaya wearing an elephant suit with a flamethrower. All right, and you're vaping marijuana. Okay, all right, this time you're burning the marijuana. You're hot boxing this elephant. It's just smoke coming out of his Yeah, kind of hot in these elephants. This elephant never forgets. What also, you thought it smelled that on the outside. Yeah. But Mary writes in and says, this is Marybeth from Maryland. Hello at Mary, So I wanted email you and say thank you for everything. My boyfriend Steve introduced me to you guys about two years ago, and since then I've been hooked. I've been saying thank you, mostly because your site got me through the three months away from Steve while I was studying abroad. We would schedule our sky stud rightow, thank you, thank you for landing on that. Yea, so it's just near the target, yea. Yeah. We would schedule our sky dates around Spooking with Scoops and the latest and professional Fridays or the latest installment of vulgar. You all just made the distance a little more bearable and still do while I'm at school and Steve was not so no problem, everything's uh. Brad from Sunderland, UK scared me for a second. No, I didn't take any of the emails you wrote in Okay, filthy bastard. My recently, my work colleague one Robert Lask aka Terry Danger fractured his also an avid listener to the podcast, fractured his foot. He was trying to carry his shopping bags when a tiny puff of wind blew him over and he ended up getting three weeks off work. Now, I'm not sure that he did fracture his foot as it was Now, I'm not sure that he did fracture his foot as it was suspiciously time to be around the release of Infamous and Metal Gear Solid. He denies that he faked it, but who wouldn't. My question to you is, what's the most important thing you've decided not to do, not to go to in order to play a game. Well, let me let me add this. Let me just jump in here. Okay, three weeks he said, right, Yeah, that's not that's not enough. That's that's way too much time to play the lunch break. Yeah, those two games are like a day and a half, so so maybe he did suffer some injury. Yeah, what was it Infamous? And what was the other one? Oh god, yeah, yeah maybe it was. Maybe he's playing Dark Souls, who knows. So what have we blown off? Yeah? I was once going to take a vacation and go to Canada, and then instead I played Never Winter Nights. Wow, that's a good game. Yeah. Uh, I like filed for the vacation. I took the time off. They just said fuck it. Yeah. I actually it was like the day that I was supposed to go, Do you have a flight? I did just bailed on the flight I did. I bought it with miles, so it wasn't real money, and I eventually got the miles back into my account or whatever since I didn't check in or whatever. They eventually just gave it all back. Wait really yeah really, it's a different times. That seems strangely generous of the airlines. Just give you the miles, just a different times. You wouldn't hear about gold edition. This is Yeah, have you heard about this thing? United is doing? No United, the airline that uses SFO as a tub. Yes, we have flown consistently for a decade. Plush. Huh. They let you trade in your miles for Amazon gift cards now, oh wow, Yeah that's cool. I have a lot of you. Well, I have a lot of the United to mind that you do, so do I turns out I have sixteen hundred dollars at Amazon worth of miles. They don't expire, no, well they every you, but every time you accrue miles, it resets the expiration timer. Yeah, so we fly just enough enough United flights that keep building up and keep building up. Yeah, I don't know. That's good to know. I don't know if I ever blew anything off for else you use miles on? I used it on that upgrade back from the New York trip. Upgrades, like first class almost always checks in full these days, it seems like yeah, uh yeah, flights, flights, flights, fights. Yeah, what's the deal with flights? I had to spend eight dollars to get a box of garbage food on my flight. Yeah, you know what the funny part is what it's hilarious. I was like, I'm not going to spend any dollars and garbage food. I spent ten dollars right before the flight and got a garbage sandwich. Smart. Yeah, we got in a plane elect and said that those sons of bitches. I wish there was food that was packaged better to take onto an airplane that was wrapped. Well, yeah, yeah that was fine, or like maybe just format it in some way that's easier to eat on an airplane. You know, give me like a tube of pizza. That's kind of what I asked, Like squeeze into my mouth. M that's similar. Yeah. Here's an anonymous email, uh, from someone who sent it a scan as a way to kind of back up some of his stuff here, so you know, documentary. Well, we'll take this as potentially accurate. Hard to know someone could be making all this stuff up. Fortnite is a game. Fortnite. Now, we did get in one email about from an x Epic Games employee about Fortnite, talking about all this like free to play stuff that was in the code, which I which believe number one source, Yeah for Fortnite, that that will be like buy a bat for twenty five days or you know, whatever it is. I would believe it. Yeah, what's this guy scanning? Uh? This guy says, I work at a large electronics retailer. Out of curiosity, I decided to see what hard numbers I had access to regarding the sales of Xbox One versus the PS four, because it seems like a matter of a lot of speculation and anecdotal evidence. I pulled the average weekly units soul in the region of the company that includes San Francisco to get a really rough idea for the twelve stores in your region. The average weekly unit sales are seventeen point three six for the PS four and ten point two eight for the Titan Fall bundle of the Xbox One. I pulled the other skew of the Xbox, but it was significantly lower, as in maybe one or two a week. I haven't seen any in my store for a week or two. The sales really do seem regional, as in my area of the Midwest, the PS four is outselling the Xbox by only around a unit a week on average, and in Sunnyvale, California, the same is true. Take that for what it is. I guess really weird. Look as weird a couple of regions of sales. I don't know damn where it goes. Sunnyvale goes for the world exactly. That's golf Land is there. It's where Capcom tests its games. And go there and find like twenty unannounced Capcom games because surely they must be working on something, right Capcom. Yeah, no, they're done. I think, Yeah, you know this video game thing. It was all right, it was a good run. We figured we would extend our mega man policy to all franchises. I think I act Capsule Command, Yeah, and Capsule Computers Computers Ross in Indianapolis, Yes, Ross Rights. And it says about nine months ago, my best friend told me that she was pregnant. Over Joyed at the news, I recommended her to the Best Child Rearing and would Working podcast I know, the Giant BombCast nine months okay, all right? Nine checking the time on this one. Yeah, Specifically, Adder listened to the episodes where Vinie shares his experiences of being a new parent. I brought this up in conversation numerous times, and she seemed to get a kick out of every episode. Nine months later, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. And I bet you can guess what name she and her boyfriend picked. Vincent. That's a strong name. It's strong name. Wow. He enjoys playing with stuff giraffes and shitting himself about love the show and all right, good to know, good to know, Aid writs in and says, I'm tired of all my fellow UK residents talking about which part of the country is the worst. You should all know that my hometown of Coventry is the worst place in the UK. It is a fucking black hole. It really is a shit hole. That's just a self weird self beef. Yeah, so we're at this part. Where's that this part of the show now where I lumped all this stuff together here to where it's people specifically saying things about the place where they live. That's all right, it's a turn. It's a turn. It's a little different. Yeah, all right, I've got one more email if okay, Yeah, well we'll get through these anonymous right sentences. I'm from Belfast in Northern Ireland and this place sucks. If anyone bad mouths this place, they're probably right. I'd appreciate if you kept this anonymous, as I don't want to be kneecapped by all the paramilitary scumbags who listen to the Giant Bomb cast. I assume they all do. Okay, all right, safe assumption, Mike says. My wife and I moved from Grand Rapids to San Antonio about a year ago, and I have to agree with all the people saying fuck Texas, because seriously, this whole region is a fucking hell hole. The weather is nice about to months out of the year, the summers are so fucking hot that you want to kill yourself, and the winters are too cold to make up for the piece of shit summers. At first, it seems like the locals are friendly, laid back Southerners, but spend enough time here and you will soon find that they are mostly ultra conservative, racist assholes. It's no wonder atheist activist Madeline Murray o'hill was straight up fucking murdered here. Also, Austin is about an hour up the road, and the only reason it gets praise is because it is slightly less shitty than all the garbage surrounding it. Make no mistake, though it is still pretty fucking shitty, solely by virtue of its location here in the tesspit of America. We are moving asap. See it packs, yeah, Pierce writes in it, says, I live in Arizona. Fuck this place too damn hot, that's all Arizona seems hot? Yeah, yeah it does and shitty. No, I wouldn't say it seems like it might be good. It sounds pretty shitty. Oh and this, actually, this question is not related to any of that stuff, Zoe writs, and it says, I'm sure you've got this question before. But what are a couple of your favorite non video game games? What's a non I like the car that's too broad than just card games, specifically, thank you. I don't you play any non sure? I played Pathfinder, a pretty good game. Path I really liked, and it was reminded of it as I was tearing through some stuff in my parents' house. You guys are really crossbows and catapults. Oh no, that game is rad. He's just fling disks castles. Oh you know what, I'm maybe I have seen that. I don't think I ever played it, but I could. I could go for old Hungry Hungry Hippos now again. Yeah, sure, a little popmat of Trouble. Yeah, yeah, like I love that popmatic bubble. I don't. I don't like adult board games. I don't like adult I don't like I'm sorry, I don't like tabletop games anything, well, things that get referred to as tabletop games. I wasn't really speaking how are people using that now? Because I always want to hear tabletop I think like D and D. No. I then people are like card games and stuff basically you know, like Arkham horror, stuff like that that is anything not Milton Bradley. Yeah, anything that is not like straight up candy Land or pay Day or you know, I was trapped, mouse Trap. I just that stuff is largely lost about card games like Cards against Humanities, apples apples. Yeah, I think those are both fun. You know, they have their they absolutely have their place. I like Uno a lot. If we're talking like favorite card games straight up, it was pretty good. Number one, number one with a bullet. I yeah, I like all that stuff. I don't think I've like Boulder Dash. That's a fun one. There's a game that we used to play when I was in high school in my friend's backyard after hours. It was called Tabloid Teasers, and that was super fun because you it's like Boulder Dash. You just everybody makes up a headline, right, and so it's like and then you have to pick the ones that are fake and the ones that are real from like tabloids. But it just wound up turning into just tearing the ship out of like one person constantly around the table as we got more and more drunk, so just everybody would start like writing something. There'd be one in there that's like lady has a pregnant but gives birth to a donkey. Then the next one would be like Brad's a giant piece of shit. That's the real one would be like Brad's so fucking ugly, Amy hates his guts, and just you go down yes and just be like fuck you. Next round would be the same thing. So it's just wound up with two people restling. I can't remember the name of the game, but I played some game recently where it was like you would get asked questions and you would have to come up with answers to these questions, and then someone would get submitted all the answers and they would have to determine who said what. Sounds kind of like malarkey, Yeah, I think it's all on that like bluffing. Yeah, I like bluffing. I like that games where you are you are adding something to it, where you are literally coming up with something, and I think Cards Against Humanity comes close to that. Stabblis comes close that where there's the judging element, where you there's the element of like, oh I need to play what I think the judge will want to hear. Sure, which is why I lose it cards all the time now is because I'm fucking way far gone on that stuff, analyzing too too much. I've seen a lot of those cards a lot of times just too deep. Yeah, so I'm going for some like third level joke that I find incredibly hilarious and everyone's not like, no, I want the one that said, like, you know, pussy lips, you know, like pooping or you know, yeah there's a pooping card. There must be. I'm make sure I get that. I should just write that as in the nineties expansion, because that's when pooping got really popular. Okay, yeah, I were really doing it much before. Then, start writing that on all those blank cards I find pooping, pooping, pooping. I like, Yeah, I really like those bluffing games where it's just like make something up and like like kind of like cards and all those other ones. But you know, I love games that go into somebody's house and they break out a board game that you just never heard of, and you're like, sure, go to shot some pretzels. It's some some dip and let's try this. The only time I don't like it is when somebody's super excited about it breaks it out and then it's like an hour of like Tedium. Yeah, and that guy's just super excited because he has such a good time with his friends with it. Yeah, and the group that's there. It's just like I just when it comes to like a board game or something like that, like, I'm not looking for anything that you have to take seriously. And I feel like a lot of the you know, Carcassonne and you know, a lot of the the you know, tabletop games and stuff like seem very much in that vein, and I just it's just not not at all like that's not like, hey, let's have a fun party and then take this game very like. You know, I feel the same way about Monopoly. Fuck Monopoly. I like Monopoly. I hate Monopoly. It is so fucking boring. Family. My family is pretty vicious with monop It's not cheating, yeah, yeah, and that made it always made it fun. But then that's just you know, it's like this cheating and then people are getting angry about it, and it's just like, that's that's not that's not why I'm here. I'm here to have a good time, not to I learned a lot about business, sure, yeah, monopoly. Just make your alliances before you get in double cross and then be friends with the banker yep, and then at the end of the game, flip the board over. Yeah, and that's how that's how it works, right storm At. I like scrabble. I like scrabble. Yeah, I thought I liked Pictionary, but I was wrong. I like scrabble, but I don't like playing scrabble with people that take scrabble seriously. Do you people who challenge words? No, not like people to challenge words. I don't like people that use the word bingo when they use all their letters. I think that's just all bullshit. Wait, what in common in competitive scrabble have no, no, no, that's just it's referred to as a bingo. Oh. I like when people challenge. I think I've played with a group of people. But if you challenge and you're wrong, you have to like chug like two beers or something like that. And that always made it really fun. It made people just really scared to challenge. Instead of like I'll lose your turn, it's like, no, you're gonna fucking wasted. You need to drink this bottle of vodka. This fuck you scrad apple. This is a word. Look it up, all right, look it up. It's there. You're right, it's there. All right. I'm playing it my spelling. All right. I win because I only came here to get drunk. So it's just passed out. Yeah, just stop playing. I'm sleeping. Potato is no fucking word. I'm challenging it. Yeah, I just play more board games. It's hard. I don't have that many friends. Yeah, that's that's actually the larger thing too, is I just, you know, didn't really grow up in an environment that was conducive to playing a lot of board games. So yeah, I just don't really care. All right, tugg, what do you got? I have an email here from rich in Manchester. Uh. He is a software engineer on the Eurofighter Tycoon, Typhoon and multi role fighter jet used by the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy, among other operators. It was way more interested in the Tycoonrofighter Tycoon. It's a big a giant man in a suit, bare knuckle brawling in the street. And now I'm working on a more classified part of the company, investigating and modeling future air combat platforms. Cool. He is privy to the cost of very munitions. We were talking about the expenditure of rockets, Yeah, tow missiles and whatnot. Yes, but but but okay, So let's see the storm shadow. Yeah he's awesome, Yeah says Yeah, that's a that's an endless fight. He used to be brothers. There, used to be friends. I'm not convinced snake Eyes as a human. He's not. He's a twenty five thousand pound cruise missile with a range of over three hundred miles. Each one costs one point three million dollars each one point three million. Ye meteor, a beyond visual range air to air missile with a range of over sixty miles one point six million dollars per fire. Yeah. Yeah, that's Brimstone, similar to the US Hellfire missile. A single Brimstone missile costs around one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and the Typhoon is likely to carry either six or twelve of these. Dropping the bucket. Yes, give me like seventeen of those and its fucking fire and those for funzies. Let loose the A s R A a m as ram yep go on infrared homing short range air to air missile comparable to the AIM nine sidewinder h carried in pairs of two or four and each missile costs three hundred nothing. Chump change, ump change. Uh. The lightning pod, which I believe I described on a previous podcast, it's the like telescoping video camera that has infrared and contract vehicles. Okay, it's on the F eighteen, the F fifteen and the A ten one point four million dollars. But that's not something you launch or no, no, no, that's that's just a one time cargeting system. Okay. Also, he has a lot of bad things to say about people living south of Birmingham. Okay, how much are they worth? Nothing? All right? Wouldn't even wate to missile on them? Yep, man fire missiles. Yeah. The thing, it's the thing, man, That stuff is We start to very quickly get into like, well, what is the value of a human life? Well, how much money did you just spend to blow up this one jet with one dude in it and how much damage could he do? And then you know it's too much? Did you guys see the Navy was testing a straight up rail gun about two weeks ago. You see though, I mean, it's basically nine What does it have to do? Does it have to be does it have to think? I didn't get into it, but yeah, I think that's what it is. It magnetically accelerates a slug. Too ridiculous. It doesn't even look like a bullet. It's like seven times the speed of sound or something like that. Cube. Yeah, yes, so so it was Actually it's crazy to me that one of the I don't know if there's one of the design goals of this thing or maybe it was a side effect, but that payload is only each one is only twenty five grand. So when you're talking about missiles that are like a million dollars a piece, what is it firing? I mean nothing. Isn't it like just a slug of metal? Yeah? No, there's more two and than that. There's actually a guidance system in it in the have no idea how that would work. There's a there's like a it's a slug inside like a missile looking thing. Yeah, Okay, there's more two it than than just a giant machine piece of metal that part breaks away before it hits and then it's just the brick impacting. How ridiculous they showed. I wish I could remember what the stats were. It's like it went through I forget the number six seven elephants and what they're like eight eight pieces of you know, one inch thick steel or something like that. You know, like just like like like eight feet of concrete just blew right through it like it is like a seven intense It doesn't like take like the world's energy to fire. It's like the lights. I don't know how it's powered. Okay, actually, how can can you ride? But they kept they kept harping on how cheap the slug was at twenty five grand comparatively? Yeah, can you can they launch me in? It? Is this how we're going to travel? Because I would sit down. You want to go for a rude? I would love to go for seven times the speed of sound? Yes, real gun? That's crazy, that's fun. Did it look like a railgun? No, it's like the size of a room. Everything starts that, you know, it's it's it's meant to be mounted on a battleship. Oh that's still cool though. That's a good option to build when you're like, come in a conquer like would you what do you want? Like railguns? A cannons, you know, a little drone that circles over your piece of shit? Like, no, I want railguns? Yeah? Who wouldn't pick a railgun? Did they show a test fire? Uh? Does it have like this? I don't think it showed it in action. They just showed the or did the video? Yeah? Okay, does it have like like concentric circles behind it? Like really? Yeah? Like it deforms the air. Oh that's a railgun, all right, deforms the air and there's ridiculous speed. Like a dude with a checklist, it's just like, yeah, this is right, this is right. Let's go watch a racer. Yep. And there's a variable. There's a variable you can edit to change the color of the particles. But okay, okay, that's really neat. That's version two point zero. Uh. Yeah. I always wondered that the cost of those missiles in the millions, like one point three or whatever, if they labor and production materials actually cost that much, or those like government prices like that. I'm sure there's a government price. So this pencil cost fifty thousand dollars or it's just like no, man, this is like a high tech piece of fucking us government can afford us. We charge them that. But these other guys, your friend prices price got eighty bucks? What do you need some nine mantles? Do this all? Right? Here you go, I traded this dotson for some missiles. I yeah, I'd like to see a statistic on how much of that stuff. You know, you hope at some point somebody kept track of how many were made, right, so like how many are how many missiles since the beginning of missiles are around? Uh, they probably keep checking how many we're fired? Right the US military at least probably Tally's like, hey, you came back with two missiles, you know, fired five? So like what's out there like eight billion missiles active in the world today or something like that buried next to those et carts. Ye, boy, they're going to be in for a surprise when they start digging hoops. Uh, because that scares me of like what do you do with these? Like when you know, the Soviet Union collapsed and it was like missiles for everybody. I don't know, what do you do with the war happened? Yeah, and like you know when you have to use those like mine sweepers and stuff, because it's like these are just minefield bombs in like Germany and yeah, that's just super scary. Yeah, like bombs that like fell through buildings and it didn't detonate, right, Yeah, that's frightening. I saw a video like a couple years ago of one of those ones they found in I think Munich, and they detonated it on purpose, just to you know, get it out of the way. Uh. And the video is from like, you know, a half mile away, but it's still a massive explosions. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to have thousands of those dropping on you. Yeah. Probably probably bad, pretty pretty not not great. Yeah, yeah, that's well, it's like they say, what do they say, don't pull your thing out unless you plan to bang. They do say that. And don't even plan to bang unless you plan to hit something exactly. Those are the two rules of the Giant Podcast. And that's gonna do it for the Giant Podcast. Thanks for listening, Thanks for hanging out here, you guys being on it I planned to bang, so okay, all right, but did you plan to hit something? No? Well, what do you I mean? I just broke the rule man, Yeah, I did half of it, right, I can do half of These are just best practices by which you must abide. Yeah, all right, I'll put my thing away. Sorry, put that thing away.
