<v Speaker 2>Welcome back, Bow. You're listening to Living Boldly with Doctor
<v Speaker 2>Z the space what purpose meets power and clarity meets courage.
<v Speaker 2>Welcome back family to another amazing episode of Living Boldly
<v Speaker 2>with Doctor Z. Now today we're diving into something that
<v Speaker 2>separates the dreamers from the doers, the starters from the finishers,
<v Speaker 2>and the top girls from the transformers. This topic is
<v Speaker 2>the art of self discipline and I'm gonna go over
<v Speaker 2>key habits for success. So if you've ever struggled with consistency, focus,
<v Speaker 2>or following through, this episode is for you. So let's
<v Speaker 2>get started, Bow. Now. First off, I'm going to go
<v Speaker 2>into what self discipline really is. You know, some people
<v Speaker 2>just have no clue what it really is because they've
<v Speaker 2>never actually had to have self discipline in their life.
<v Speaker 2>But let's start with the truth that might challenge you.
<v Speaker 2>Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing. And
<v Speaker 2>people know me that know me personally know that, Hey,
<v Speaker 2>I'm all about motivation, inspiration, and positivity, you know. So
<v Speaker 2>the thing is is you know those inspire you and
<v Speaker 2>give you inspiration too. That's another one of those feelings.
<v Speaker 2>But when it comes to self discipline, it's it isn't
<v Speaker 2>about punishment or perfection. It's about choosing what you want
<v Speaker 2>most over what you want now. So it's the daily
<v Speaker 2>decision to honor your future self, and even when your
<v Speaker 2>current self wants to quit, it just won't quit because
<v Speaker 2>you have that self discipline and you're that headstrong and
<v Speaker 2>you're like, no way, no one's gonna stop me. I'm
<v Speaker 2>gonna make it to the finished line, or I'm gonna
<v Speaker 2>accomplish this goal, or I'm gonna make this happen in
<v Speaker 2>this lifetime because this is what I've always wanted, this
<v Speaker 2>is what I want for myself, this is what I
<v Speaker 2>think it's best for me in my life. And I've
<v Speaker 2>been hearing a lot of people say that, and that
<v Speaker 2>is inspiring and motivating when you hear people speak those words.
<v Speaker 2>But let's see, most successful people, I can say, they
<v Speaker 2>don't wait to feel ready. They just do it. You know,
<v Speaker 2>they've trained their discipline like a muscle. You know, they're strong,
<v Speaker 2>they're coming through, plowing through, getting it done like you know,
<v Speaker 2>so us bous know all about that, you know, But yeah,
<v Speaker 2>most successful people they don't even think twice about it.
<v Speaker 2>They're gonna do it and they're gonna get it done
<v Speaker 2>because they do have that motivation and that discipline and
<v Speaker 2>they keep on going so they can keep on growing.
<v Speaker 2>You know, you gotta grow through things and not go
<v Speaker 2>through things in life. But anyway, now I'm gonna go
<v Speaker 2>over the five habits of self discipline. Now let's get practical.
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna give you five key habits that build bold,
<v Speaker 2>discipline lives. Okay, now, number one, this is all about,
<v Speaker 2>you know, the discipline and successful what they're doing. So
<v Speaker 2>if you got pending paper, write this down, take your notes,
<v Speaker 2>because this is gonna be good. The first thing they
<v Speaker 2>do is they start small. They don't start being and
<v Speaker 2>try to overwhelm themselves. They start small, but they're consistent
<v Speaker 2>and the self discipline, they don't wait for the big
<v Speaker 2>moment to happen. They build momentum with microwinds, you know,
<v Speaker 2>five minutes of journaling, ten minutes of reading, one glass
<v Speaker 2>of water. You know, it's all it takes is to
<v Speaker 2>start off with one glass of water to move into
<v Speaker 2>the momentum of drinking. More So, these are the building blocks.
<v Speaker 2>So you have to build up and build that momentum,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and be consistent and a lot of us
<v Speaker 2>talk about that as creators, and you know, when you're
<v Speaker 2>building your legacy, you know, hey, it's the same thing.
<v Speaker 2>You know, you gotta start small and build your way up.
<v Speaker 2>Number two, you gotta master your mornings. Now. The first
<v Speaker 2>hour sets the tone. Even a simple routine of prayer,
<v Speaker 2>you know, stretching or exercising, you know, planning, journaling. You know,
<v Speaker 2>it's just something to get your borning going, like some
<v Speaker 2>people do coffee. Some people they might have a favorite
<v Speaker 2>show that they want to listen to or watch to
<v Speaker 2>get their morning going. And you know, it creates clarity
<v Speaker 2>for yourself and it's actually your your your beginning discipline
<v Speaker 2>at some rise and at the beginning of your day.
<v Speaker 2>So make sure you're mastering your mornings. And Number three,
<v Speaker 2>successful individuals say no strategically. Now, every yes is a
<v Speaker 2>no to something else, you know, and that's just the
<v Speaker 2>reality of it. It would be great if you can
<v Speaker 2>always say yes all the time, but that's just not
<v Speaker 2>possible when you're trying to be more disciplined and get
<v Speaker 2>things accomplished. So self disciplined people protect their energy and
<v Speaker 2>time like gold, because if you keep spreading yourself, then
<v Speaker 2>how are you going to even have any time for
<v Speaker 2>yourself and to be able to be disciplined and accomplish anything.
<v Speaker 2>So self disciplined individuals they choose priorities over popularities. And
<v Speaker 2>that's very important because you know, I've hear celebrities say
<v Speaker 2>it all the time, this fame doesn't pay. And the
<v Speaker 2>same thing with popularity, likes and comments and views, it
<v Speaker 2>doesn't pay. You know, it can, but it doesn't pay much.
<v Speaker 2>You know, it's very minimal pay. But yeah, that's why
<v Speaker 2>it makes sense to choose that priority over popularity. You
<v Speaker 2>will go further. Number four, self disciplined individuals they track
<v Speaker 2>and reflect success leaves clues. Like I said before, they journal,
<v Speaker 2>they review their progress. You gotta do that, and they adjust,
<v Speaker 2>they reflect, and it fuels the correction and the continuation
<v Speaker 2>of the process of building the momentum by being disciplined
<v Speaker 2>and being consistent. So remember, track and reflect. Number five,
<v Speaker 2>They stay come committed, not just inspired, not just motivated,
<v Speaker 2>not just positive, but they stay committed and it takes
<v Speaker 2>that feelings are fleeting. And I'm going back to when
<v Speaker 2>I was talking originally about you know, being consistent and
<v Speaker 2>building yourself and building that momentum because you can always
<v Speaker 2>be inspired and motivated and be positive like I always
<v Speaker 2>speak of. But those feelings are fleeting and they can't
<v Speaker 2>go away. So you got to be committed. At the
<v Speaker 2>end of the day. Commitment is of covenant. And when
<v Speaker 2>you're committed, you don't negotiate with excuses. They don't even
<v Speaker 2>make sense. Someone could come with an excuse and you
<v Speaker 2>can be like, no excuses, what else do you have
<v Speaker 2>to say? Well, do you have another excuse? Oh? Is
<v Speaker 2>that another one? Okay, that's anything else? Because if that's
<v Speaker 2>all you have is excuses, then I don't want to
<v Speaker 2>hear it, you know. And as a bold one, Hey,
<v Speaker 2>you get to that point to where you're just not
<v Speaker 2>accepting any excuses at all, because guess what BOO was. Hey,
<v Speaker 2>we stay committed. Were not just inspired, were not just motivated,
<v Speaker 2>were not just positive? You know, we commited all right. Now,
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna get into breaking the myth of balance. Oh,
<v Speaker 2>that's a big one, because you know, you gotta have
<v Speaker 2>balance in life. Everyone always says it. Oh, without balance,
<v Speaker 2>you're not gonna be able to accomplish anything, or be
<v Speaker 2>able to be consistent, or be able to be motivated
<v Speaker 2>and inspired and do all these things. To be self disciplined,
<v Speaker 2>you know. So here's something we don't talk about enough.
<v Speaker 2>Balance is seasonal. Discipline is sustainable. So when you're saying, oh,
<v Speaker 2>you gotta have balance, you know, okay, but it's you know,
<v Speaker 2>just like feelings are fleeting, balance is seasonal, and discipline
<v Speaker 2>is sustainable. You can sustain that. And I'm a living
<v Speaker 2>witness and say I can sustain being disciplined more than
<v Speaker 2>anything else I could tell you that. So you won't
<v Speaker 2>be perfect every day and you won't always feel balanced,
<v Speaker 2>but if you stay disciplined, you'll stay aligned and with
<v Speaker 2>your calling, your vision, in your future, you will be
<v Speaker 2>on track. Okay, with that self discipline and mindset, with
<v Speaker 2>a you know, adding that balance portion in there also.
<v Speaker 2>But you gotta stay disciplined, So don't chase comfort, chase conviction,
<v Speaker 2>and stay discipline. Bold Ones, boul Ones. Now, before I
<v Speaker 2>get out of here, I just want to say that
<v Speaker 2>bold living requires bould habits. Now, boldness without discipline is chaos,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and discipline without boldness is routine. But bold discipline,
<v Speaker 2>that's transformation. Okay. So as we wrap up today's episode,
<v Speaker 2>I want to leave you with this affirmation. I choose
<v Speaker 2>consistency over convenience. I am building a life. My future
<v Speaker 2>self would thank me for it, and God would thank
<v Speaker 2>you for it. Also, I have to say that, but
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna say once again, I choose consistency over convenience,
<v Speaker 2>and I am building a life my future yourself will
<v Speaker 2>thank me for You don't need to be perfect, You
<v Speaker 2>just need to be persistent, okay, and consistency and self
<v Speaker 2>discipline will take you far. Now in today's episode, if
<v Speaker 2>you feel that what I spoke about today spoke to
<v Speaker 2>you personally, or someone you know needs to hear that,
<v Speaker 2>share it with a friend or family member who's ready
<v Speaker 2>to live boldly. And don't forget to subscribe and leave
