<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, welcome to Game Most Mornings with Me Jeff Greb,
<v Speaker 1>your host from giant bomb dot com. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>tuning in. In this episode, we're going to be talking
<v Speaker 1>about a wee game getting an update in twenty twenty six,
<v Speaker 1>and how Fortnite is getting even more Star Wars. It's
<v Speaker 1>gonna be a good one because we have Jason Finelli
<v Speaker 1>on the show. Jason, how are you doing?
<v Speaker 2>It's a Finelle Friday on Giant Bomb Games Mornings. Very
<v Speaker 2>excitedly that I've already had my mind blown in the
<v Speaker 2>pre show with your sleight of hand, magic nonsense. It's
<v Speaker 2>a weird day, but it's a good day. I'm excited
<v Speaker 2>to be here, finally coming down from two weeks of
<v Speaker 2>the theater experience, which if you've seen the pictures, they.
<v Speaker 1>Were all I have. They're so great.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's fun. I got to take some props home.
<v Speaker 2>I've got my hammer for when I was chasing Sebastiano.
<v Speaker 2>Incredible with the hammer. It's just just a dowel wooden
<v Speaker 2>dow with a foam piece on the top. Man smack
<v Speaker 2>somebody Around's pretty cool.
<v Speaker 1>I definitely would have had fun working in a prop
<v Speaker 1>department that oh.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I don't know if you
<v Speaker 2>saw me cosplaying as a Ninja Turtle, but I wanted
<v Speaker 2>to point out the crafts were shipped from my pal Rich.
<v Speaker 2>This is just floor foam like the phone. Oh yeah, wow,
<v Speaker 2>look at that. And they just cut it into a shell.
<v Speaker 2>And then the front is the just attached.
<v Speaker 1>By little and that's so clever.
<v Speaker 2>I think it's upsetting on actually, but yeah, just a
<v Speaker 2>little straps here. You put it on like that and
<v Speaker 2>there you go.
<v Speaker 3>You were a great turtle. You were an excellent turtle.
<v Speaker 3>I was now.
<v Speaker 1>Because you had such a good, good week and you've
<v Speaker 1>been such a good boy. We have a we have
<v Speaker 1>a surprise for you, Jason Finelli. Oh god, I I do.
<v Speaker 1>I've not heard this. It is out of my hands.
<v Speaker 1>I got hand this, jan What do we got for
<v Speaker 1>Jason Finelli?
<v Speaker 4>Uh? In a rare crossover. We got a voicemail for
<v Speaker 4>Jason Finelli. And Jason, you don't often appear on the
<v Speaker 4>dump truck, so I thought this was fun.
<v Speaker 2>One time. Have I done that?
<v Speaker 4>Perfect once? It's a very short one. This is for you, Jason,
<v Speaker 4>and this is for Jason.
<v Speaker 5>Finale for the next piece of content, whatever piece of
<v Speaker 5>content voicemail dump truck or game this morning or whatever
<v Speaker 5>he's in that he comes in next, Jason, how does
<v Speaker 5>he able to be moving on to the second round
<v Speaker 5>of playoffs for a Yeah, let's go look all the way.
<v Speaker 5>Love you Jason, love it, Hey.
<v Speaker 2>Love you too, buddy. I don't know who that was,
<v Speaker 2>but it was worth it to hear that voicemail for
<v Speaker 2>the eye roll I just got from Jeff Frum. I
<v Speaker 2>still can't quite believe it. Like I I when we
<v Speaker 2>lost Game five, I was like, oh no, it's the
<v Speaker 2>reverse Boston. What are we going to do?
<v Speaker 1>And then and let's be reals, played real well in
<v Speaker 1>that game that they lost.
<v Speaker 3>That that was on that one.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, the Dan Dan Vlad or the goalie is my
<v Speaker 2>favorite person in the entire world until that second round starts. Wow,
<v Speaker 2>they have a great game, great game to watch, very
<v Speaker 2>hard to watch. While I was doing work, I had
<v Speaker 2>some writing to do, so I'm writing it like this
<v Speaker 2>and getting questions and getting you know, spelling words wrong.
<v Speaker 2>But man, man, play of Focky is the best.
<v Speaker 1>It's the best. It's so much fun. I was that
<v Speaker 1>was That's been my favorite series so far. I would
<v Speaker 1>have loved to have seen it go to Game seven
<v Speaker 1>because it seemed like Pittsburgh was playing better and better.
<v Speaker 1>That would have been a lot, but no, I'm happy
<v Speaker 1>for you. There was some couple of games there at
<v Speaker 1>the end of the season where it's like, hey, the
<v Speaker 1>Red Wings just need to beat the Flyers a couple
<v Speaker 1>of times and maybe they can make the playoffs.
<v Speaker 3>And now here we are. I believe we were sting.
<v Speaker 2>Next to each other when one of those went down,
<v Speaker 2>and I just kind of pointed at you and laughed
<v Speaker 2>for a little bit, and the Red Wings started coming back.
<v Speaker 1>And then and now they're golfing and you're in the
<v Speaker 1>second round. Cool, cool, cool, I love it all. Right,
<v Speaker 1>let's explain ourselves. We're Giant Bomb. Go to giant bomb

<v Speaker 1>later with chapters and timestamps on YouTube.
<v Speaker 3>Hello YouTube. All right, we have a lot to get.
<v Speaker 1>Into, so let's start the morning mess with Fortnite is
<v Speaker 1>adding new Star Wars modes and one of them feels
<v Speaker 1>like Battlefront kind of the quick version here. Epic and
<v Speaker 1>Lucasfilm are launching a wave of Star Wars experiences inside Fortnite,
<v Speaker 1>including Galactic Siege, Escape, Vader, Droid Tycoon, and hundreds of
<v Speaker 1>creator made Star Wars islands. GameSpot says one of the
<v Speaker 1>new modes feels like Battlefront, while Fortnite's own post frames
<v Speaker 1>it as a large scale Star Wars takeover across all
<v Speaker 1>these various things that they're offering up. Yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 1>we can get into some of these details about what
<v Speaker 1>all these things are, but at first blush, what do
<v Speaker 1>you think, Jason?
<v Speaker 2>I think it's a really it's a perfect way to
<v Speaker 2>get the Star Wars modes that they've been kind of
<v Speaker 2>talking about for a while into Fortnite for the first time.
<v Speaker 2>It kind of writes itself in a way from a
<v Speaker 2>marketing perspective, may the fourth is coming, This is when
<v Speaker 2>we can do these modes. Of course in this game.
<v Speaker 2>I think that Galactic Siege, the Battlefront like mode, if
<v Speaker 2>it plays like Battlefront, could be a huge success. It
<v Speaker 2>remains to be seen. One thing I did mark in
<v Speaker 2>the preview is that you cannot use non Star Wars skins.
<v Speaker 2>They really want this to be the authentic Star Wars feel,
<v Speaker 2>which I think is a good thing.
<v Speaker 3>It's smart for this, Yeah, it's smart for Fortnite, I
<v Speaker 3>don't know.
<v Speaker 2>No, not for for Fortnite, but for this in particular,
<v Speaker 2>this limited mode. It makes a lot of sense. And
<v Speaker 2>I like the idea of escape Vader, Like we don't
<v Speaker 2>usually think of Vader in a survival horror sense, but
<v Speaker 2>just basically taking that moment from Rogue one and turning
<v Speaker 2>it into its own, like get out of here before
<v Speaker 2>he gets you sort of thing is kind of cool.
<v Speaker 2>I think that's a really cool idea.
<v Speaker 1>Jason, really do like a phone by your microphone or
<v Speaker 1>anything like that, there's just an electrical innerfe parents.
<v Speaker 2>No, but I can move my cell phone if you like.
<v Speaker 1>That's yeah, it just what one sounds like. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, but yeah, yeah, keep going feel pretty.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, so I I like what they're doing here.
<v Speaker 2>I'm curious how extensive the creator made Star Wars Islands
<v Speaker 2>will get. But I might give vis a shot. I
<v Speaker 2>might jump in just to see what galactics you just like,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean I'm curious to see, like what these
<v Speaker 1>partnerships continue to look like I remember the response to
<v Speaker 1>the first wave of like Disney equivalent stuff like the
<v Speaker 1>wider Disney stuff. Obviously Star Wars still Disney. It's all
<v Speaker 1>part of that major initiative that they're doing, but that
<v Speaker 1>those early Disney like games that are equivalent to this,
<v Speaker 1>But the reception was pretty cool, And you know, I
<v Speaker 1>think the key thing for me here is is this
<v Speaker 1>what people come to Fortnite for? Or is this what
<v Speaker 1>to fortnite? It's just shifting into out of necessity where
<v Speaker 1>it's like, hey, look, we it is easier to get
<v Speaker 1>a huge lump son of money lump sum of money
<v Speaker 1>from these big companies rather than to re engage the community.
<v Speaker 1>We're going to try to do that as well. But
<v Speaker 1>these partnerships are more our future than making the Fortnite
<v Speaker 1>Battle Royale want what it once was. And I feel
<v Speaker 1>like that is a pretty that's a kind of a
<v Speaker 1>scary road to walk down if you're epic, because you
<v Speaker 1>risk losing what made Fortnite popular in the first place.
<v Speaker 1>And if you concede that and you're like, well, that's
<v Speaker 1>not even what we're going to try to do anymore.
<v Speaker 1>I think there's a risk of that core audience, the
<v Speaker 1>audience that spends a lot of money, turning away because
<v Speaker 1>they're like, oh, okay, the thing is now roadblocks. But
<v Speaker 1>that's never what I came to Fortnite for. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>come for all these different kinds of modes. I wanted
<v Speaker 1>to hang out with my friends and do the Battle Royale.
<v Speaker 3>Obviously, like the game is McDonald's. It is happy Meals.
<v Speaker 1>You could put anything in there, and that has worked,
<v Speaker 1>but I think that has more been like, hey, I
<v Speaker 1>want to express myself with different different skins in the
<v Speaker 1>Battle Royale mode, and I just don't. I just am
<v Speaker 1>still unconvinced that these spinoff games, these other islands are
<v Speaker 1>going to be the kind of thing that really the
<v Speaker 1>player base beyond like brief curiosity, right.
<v Speaker 2>And they're clearly chasing the game that shall not be
<v Speaker 2>named as in terms of offering as much variety as possible.
<v Speaker 2>What they do have going for them is that Battle
<v Speaker 2>Royale mode, and it's offshoots, blitz and reload, what have you.
<v Speaker 2>Are still there. They don't disappear, so they can always
<v Speaker 2>fall back on them should something happen, which is a
<v Speaker 2>good safety net to have. It's how they got there
<v Speaker 2>in the first place. We are coming up on ten
<v Speaker 2>years of Fortnite Battle Royale, if you'd believe it.
<v Speaker 1>So I like that.
<v Speaker 2>I like the strategy of having it as a fail
<v Speaker 2>safe and start of trying to let yourself focus on
<v Speaker 2>other experiences. But it's not your bread and butter, and
<v Speaker 2>you shouldn't treat it that way because all it's going
<v Speaker 2>to do is ultimately fail, I think. And they've already
<v Speaker 2>done the Star Wars Battle Royale variant last year I believe,
<v Speaker 2>where Star Wars invaded the main kind of like how
<v Speaker 2>Springfield did at the end of last year. So they've
<v Speaker 2>already explored that. Do they do that again or do
<v Speaker 2>they try something different. I don't mind them trying something
<v Speaker 2>different because the next year, if this doesn't work, you
<v Speaker 2>just go back to Battle Reale again.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, for sure. These modes specifically we kind of touched
<v Speaker 1>on a little bit. Galactic Siege is the one that
<v Speaker 1>people are saying that looks a little bit like Battlefront.
<v Speaker 1>It is capturing control points for your team and defeating
<v Speaker 1>enemies will let you unlock power ups. There were stiffling
<v Speaker 1>moments where they had like, oh, that's a big Jedi
<v Speaker 1>character running through and then slicing down a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>enemy characters that are kind of just fodder. It's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that does look a lot like Battlefront. Do you think
<v Speaker 1>that this mode here satisfies like Disney and lucasfilm when
<v Speaker 1>it comes to like wanting a successor to Star Wars Battlefront,
<v Speaker 1>or do you think they could still want to try
<v Speaker 1>to do a separate third one of those and really
<v Speaker 1>fifth one of those.
<v Speaker 2>Well, this is a limited time mode, right, Yeah, so
<v Speaker 2>maybe they gauge user counts, Maybe they gauge social media presence,
<v Speaker 2>maybe they gauge all these things. And this is their
<v Speaker 2>litmus test, right It's something they've already invested in. They've
<v Speaker 2>already given their money for it. Now they just have
<v Speaker 2>to wait and see how much people have a hunger
<v Speaker 2>for it. And if they have the hunger for it,
<v Speaker 2>maybe they maybe it becomes an official Fortnite game actually
<v Speaker 2>called Star Wars Battlefront, if you can do that. I'm
<v Speaker 2>not sure where EA would play into all that, since
<v Speaker 2>they make it.
<v Speaker 1>I think LUCASLM owns Battlefront, so they can who they want,
<v Speaker 1>They can do that.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, you could use this as your litmus test
<v Speaker 2>and then a year from now officially launch a new
<v Speaker 2>Battlefront or Battlefront esque sort of game in Fortnite forever
<v Speaker 2>if it works. But again, what does that do to
<v Speaker 2>Fortnite's you know, original identity? And furthermore, does do Sweeney
<v Speaker 2>and Company even give a shit what it does original form?
<v Speaker 1>They certainly care about it making money and its ability
<v Speaker 1>to sort of do that probably won't be hurt by this,
<v Speaker 1>but you know, I just wonder, Yeah, they're losing the
<v Speaker 1>threat a little bit, and if these things keep coming
<v Speaker 1>out and they're kind of mediocre, I think it just
<v Speaker 1>ends up feeling like a distraction. And the people that
<v Speaker 1>would have been like, Hey, I want to return back
<v Speaker 1>to the good old days of Fortnite, and that might
<v Speaker 1>be impossible to recapture, but that's what they want, will
<v Speaker 1>feel like they are not being catered to at all.
<v Speaker 1>I look at this billion dollar deal that they have
<v Speaker 1>with Disney is going to result in a lot more
<v Speaker 1>stuff like this. I to me, it's like, man, it's
<v Speaker 1>a billion dollar deal. Surely this is just the start
<v Speaker 1>and there's more bigger things yet to come. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I guess they've never said that explicitly, but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>do you think this is like what they meant when
<v Speaker 1>they first started putting this deal together, stuff like this.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think more activations within the game, not necessarily
<v Speaker 2>within Fortnite's architecture, like Battle Royale and stuff like that,
<v Speaker 2>but making their own unique experiences with Dinney's IP. Part
<v Speaker 2>of me is afraid they already peaked because Springfield is
<v Speaker 2>going to be a hard bar to clear it with
<v Speaker 2>how they wrote episodes around it and the map changes
<v Speaker 2>all were reflected from those episodes that right there and
<v Speaker 2>how condensed it was, and now people still want it
<v Speaker 2>back because of just how cool that experience was. That's
<v Speaker 2>a I don't know, man, I think they might. I'd
<v Speaker 2>like to see them maybe do something with other properties.
<v Speaker 2>They've done Marvel, They've done Star Wars, They've done Simpsons,
<v Speaker 2>they have a whole lot of other things under the umbrella.
<v Speaker 2>But Disney Villains thing would be interesting. I don't think
<v Speaker 2>you're ever going to see Mickey Mouse in Battle Roale.
<v Speaker 2>That would be very strange. But they have other avenues
<v Speaker 2>that they can take, So yeah, I don't think. I
<v Speaker 2>think this is exactly the kind of thing they were
<v Speaker 2>planning for, and I don't think it's going to be
<v Speaker 2>done anytime soon. And ultimately, if I had to predict something,
<v Speaker 2>does Disney just bi epic eventually?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, it feels like that is in the cards. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>for sure. I mean we talked about it. We talked
<v Speaker 1>about after those layoffs, kind of streamlining epics so that
<v Speaker 1>it's easily more easy to acquire, like the the operational expenses,
<v Speaker 1>that that number got a lot smaller by the laying off,
<v Speaker 1>just everyone they could possibly think of.
<v Speaker 3>And uh, yeah, that's rough.
<v Speaker 2>That extraction shooter too, as Chat reminds me that they
<v Speaker 2>mentioned they were co developing an extraction idea with Disney.
<v Speaker 2>That is another one. That's what this fall. I think
<v Speaker 2>maybe we'll hear about that at kiely Fest or at
<v Speaker 2>games Com or something like that. Who knows. That's a
<v Speaker 2>whistle weird thing to say out.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah really, And that was another one like this, that's right.
<v Speaker 1>The story around that was like they were struggling to
<v Speaker 1>make that fun as well, and it was very they
<v Speaker 1>said it was very similar to Marathon or our Creators
<v Speaker 1>or something. I can't remember it. So yeah, it's basically, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>basically exactly the same. Okay, I guess we'll see the
<v Speaker 1>last one. We didn't mention too much. Droid Tycoon. That's
<v Speaker 1>the third game here. It's a it's a cookie clicker style.
<v Speaker 1>There's a lot of those in Fortnite. That's what Tycoon
<v Speaker 1>usually indicates. It's just like taking the hammer that you
<v Speaker 1>get as a Fortnite character and banging on droids until
<v Speaker 1>you put them together. It's I mean, look, the kids
<v Speaker 1>do like that stuff. But I wonder if it sort
<v Speaker 1>of runs its course here pretty soon. I guess I
<v Speaker 1>was expecting more from some of the stuff, and I
<v Speaker 1>suppose Galactic Siege will be the thing that's like, maybe
<v Speaker 1>that is a lot more than it even looks like.
<v Speaker 1>If it's essentially just a battle front, like with all
<v Speaker 1>the bells and whistles, that'll be really impressive.
<v Speaker 2>But I am skeptical of that. Yeah, with that Doroth
<v Speaker 2>Vader mode, I think maybe flying under the radar too,
<v Speaker 2>that could be fun.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, yeah, Tycoon used. They took Tycoon from us. Yes, guys,
<v Speaker 1>I'm so sorry, chat I'm sorry to be the one
<v Speaker 1>to tell you that, but they took it from us.
<v Speaker 1>Valve Hardware rumors customs data points to game consoles quote
<v Speaker 1>unquote shipments. This is from Adam Corsetti at notebook check
<v Speaker 1>and really, what we're thinking here is are these the
<v Speaker 1>Steam machines? Are these the Steam Frames? Even if Valves
<v Speaker 1>secretive import records sometimes spoil announcements, gamers saw a similar
<v Speaker 1>pattern unfold with the Steam Controller. Recently, the company received
<v Speaker 1>a large shipment of the accessory before revealing its launch
<v Speaker 1>plans and price. Now, more recent activities suggests a Steam
<v Speaker 1>Machine release date could be imminent as well. Brad Lynch
<v Speaker 1>a not that Brad Lench a regular support or source
<v Speaker 1>of leaks, monitors available shipping data. He informed his social
<v Speaker 1>media followers that Valve is receiving a ton of game
<v Speaker 1>consoles these past couple of weeks in their USA distribution warehouse.
<v Speaker 1>Although some databases require subscriptions for full access, NBD provides
<v Speaker 1>limited free access. Readers could see several imports for a
<v Speaker 1>game console to Valve's US location, with the latest on
<v Speaker 1>April twenty third. In fact, as far back as February,
<v Speaker 1>rumors circulated about these curious records. Lynch initially avoided discussing
<v Speaker 1>the development. However, he now explains that quantities and other
<v Speaker 1>factors looked more like Steam Machine Slash frame related things
<v Speaker 1>as opposed to oh these are just more Steam decks
<v Speaker 1>entering the country. So we still don't know. It's a rumor,
<v Speaker 1>but this is the pattern that did happen with Steam Controller.
<v Speaker 1>To me, it's like, Man, if the Steam Machine and
<v Speaker 1>Steam Frame are that close, wouldn't they have just waited
<v Speaker 1>to drop the steam controller with it all at once,
<v Speaker 1>because that was the initial plan. But I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>maybe maybe things changed, maybe you know, I guess there's
<v Speaker 1>one angle here, Jason, where it's like, the Steam controller
<v Speaker 1>comes out, it's a it's one hundred dollars, give people
<v Speaker 1>a chance to get used to that. And then once
<v Speaker 1>you announced the Steam machine release date and price and
<v Speaker 1>the bundle that comes with the controller, more people are
<v Speaker 1>now aware of the fact that it's like, yeah, it's
<v Speaker 1>that price, but it comes with a controller that's one
<v Speaker 1>hundred dollars, And maybe they're like staggering things that way.
<v Speaker 1>So do you get the sense that this is like imminent?
<v Speaker 1>Like is that word accurate for Steam Machine slash Steam Frame.
<v Speaker 2>Certainly seems closer than I have initially thought with this
<v Speaker 2>this report coming out here. I don't know if it's
<v Speaker 2>like we're review on this Monday and it starts the
<v Speaker 2>next Monday, close like the Controller was. I think there
<v Speaker 2>might be a nice, healthy slice of time, if for
<v Speaker 2>no other reason then to get let people get their
<v Speaker 2>coins in order, right, if you don't want to start
<v Speaker 2>pre orders so quickly after a first reveal, especially if
<v Speaker 2>we're talking about something in the potential four figures, right,
<v Speaker 2>So I wouldn't be surprised if they announced it on
<v Speaker 2>the same day as Steam Controller orders going up on Monday,
<v Speaker 2>but then have the order date b July or August
<v Speaker 2>or something in the summertime, with shipping happening in the
<v Speaker 2>beginning of the fall, just in time for the busy
<v Speaker 2>holiday rush. That seems like a very logical timeframe for me.
<v Speaker 2>But that's if it's that close, right. They could be
<v Speaker 2>waiting for Jeff keey Fest Summer Game Fest at the
<v Speaker 2>beginning of June and announce everything on that stage. They
<v Speaker 2>could be waiting for their own thing after the fact,
<v Speaker 2>but in that time. For like how Sony likes to
<v Speaker 2>do a State of Play and Nintendo likes to do
<v Speaker 2>a direct an Xbox likes to do their showcase, maybe
<v Speaker 2>they'll jump into I think PC Gaming Show is in
<v Speaker 2>that vein as well. It'd be a nice place for it.
<v Speaker 2>It's it's close, it's potentially close, closer than we all thought.
<v Speaker 2>I do agree with you that releasing the controller is
<v Speaker 2>so soon without I mean, releasing the controller before this,
<v Speaker 2>if it's so soon, is an interesting red herring. Again,
<v Speaker 2>the the bundled with a controller price is an interesting angle.
<v Speaker 2>But would they release one without a controller as well?
<v Speaker 4>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>I think people have already.
<v Speaker 1>I think they're gonna have options, yeah, because it's like
<v Speaker 1>that's one of the things that they can do, is
<v Speaker 1>like it being a PC. It's like, yeah, you're gonna
<v Speaker 1>be able to connect anything to this. Here is just
<v Speaker 1>the very base, lowest option with nothing included, uh, you know,
<v Speaker 1>except for a charging cable or you know, the power cable,
<v Speaker 1>and that's it. And we're gonna get that price as
<v Speaker 1>long as possible. But I think that the headline price,
<v Speaker 1>the sort of thing that they push front and forward,
<v Speaker 1>is going to be a bundle with the controller. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah.
<v Speaker 3>The other wrinkle here is half life three.
<v Speaker 1>This is a thing. Yes. There was a time early
<v Speaker 1>on this year when we were talking about steam Machine,
<v Speaker 1>and that went hand in hand with the relatively recent
<v Speaker 1>rumors at that time that things were shaking with half
<v Speaker 1>Life three. Now, I think the fact that all this
<v Speaker 1>has happened, all this time has passed and we've had
<v Speaker 1>no talk of that game, and then the hardware just
<v Speaker 1>keeps getting pushed. I think a lot of people, myself included,
<v Speaker 1>were like, why do we ever get our hopes up
<v Speaker 1>for that in the first place? But nothing's really changed
<v Speaker 1>in terms of like, yeah, I was definitely hearing that
<v Speaker 1>there was stuff happening with Half Life three multiple times
<v Speaker 1>and that's the reason that that smoke was in the air.
<v Speaker 3>Does that change things?
<v Speaker 1>Does that like help them sort of push over a
<v Speaker 1>price that might be a little bit tough, but they
<v Speaker 1>can like go, hey, there's a group of you that
<v Speaker 1>weren't playing games on PC. Do you want to miss
<v Speaker 1>out on Half Life three where you don't have to
<v Speaker 1>get a Steam machine with Half Life three, maybe even
<v Speaker 1>bundled in. I don't know, what do you mean? Boy?
<v Speaker 2>Oh boy? If it's if that's closer to them, we
<v Speaker 2>all think, then maybe remember when that was going to
<v Speaker 2>be revealed at the Game Awards half Life three? Do
<v Speaker 2>you remember that? I remember that, and yet I remember
<v Speaker 2>it not happening and being like, oh how about that?
<v Speaker 2>How surprise? Oh man? They could be planning a perfect
<v Speaker 2>storm of announcements here they now that you mention it,
<v Speaker 2>they really could. But what's that. Maybe that's another reason
<v Speaker 2>why we haven't seen a release yet, if they're worried
<v Speaker 2>about a run on stock, if they especially if they
<v Speaker 2>announce half Life three with it right, like, we have
<v Speaker 2>these scalpers to deal with as well, because you know
<v Speaker 2>they'll come out of the woodwork, especially if you announce
<v Speaker 2>half Life three. That'll get their gears turning. So it
<v Speaker 2>sounds like they're nothing else. It sounds like they're trying
<v Speaker 2>to be as careful and methodical as possible with announcements
<v Speaker 2>and launch windows so that they can get as many
<v Speaker 2>machines to as many people who actually want them as possible.
<v Speaker 2>Whether or not that pays off remains to be seen.
<v Speaker 2>Whether or not Halfway three is involved and how that
<v Speaker 2>changes things or means to be seen. But if nothing else,
<v Speaker 2>it certainly sounds like they're taking as much care as
<v Speaker 2>possible to do this right, which is appreciated. Right. They
<v Speaker 2>don't want to be in a switch to situation where
<v Speaker 2>they're like, here's the reveal. We can't reveal the price
<v Speaker 2>that yet, price yet though, because the world is weird.
<v Speaker 2>Sorry y'all, and then reveal the price later on. Think
<v Speaker 2>you're trying to avoid that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Chat's also pointing out that COLONL. Sanders says seems
<v Speaker 1>like Deadlocke is said to go into open bit of
<v Speaker 1>this summer, they also have to formally announce that. That's
<v Speaker 1>worth pointing out. That's like, yeah, that's probably something that
<v Speaker 1>they want to have a strong presence with the Steam
<v Speaker 1>Controller and Steam Machine and be like, yeah, you could
<v Speaker 1>play a game like this without any issue on the
<v Speaker 1>Steam Controller and your here's like five different ways you
<v Speaker 1>could play it if you want to like have the
<v Speaker 1>best most accurate controls, either turn on the gyros or
<v Speaker 1>people like using the touch pads, which is crazy to me,
<v Speaker 1>but people do like that. And yeah, I think they
<v Speaker 1>want to have that all go hand in hand. If
<v Speaker 1>you have half like three on top of that, that's like,
<v Speaker 1>you know, that's even better. But God, every time we
<v Speaker 1>say half like three, I'm a wire. Why we're jerking
<v Speaker 1>ourselves around like this, that's it's so stupid to do this,
<v Speaker 1>But hey, that's that's the business. And halfla three happens
<v Speaker 1>at some point. Maybe it's not happening, right, now, but
<v Speaker 1>we'll see sure, sure, all right, Let's take a quick break.
<v Speaker 1>When we come back. There's more headlines to get into.
<v Speaker 1>If you want to skip out on these, go to
<v Speaker 1>GiantBomb dot com slash Joint become a Premium member. We
<v Speaker 1>will be right back. We are back with Game Mess Mornings,
<v Speaker 1>Jeff Grub, Jason Finelli. Let's do this next one. Super
<v Speaker 1>Mario Galaxy two gets a new storybook chapter. Nintendo updated
<v Speaker 1>Super Mario Galaxy two with a new fifth storybook chapter
<v Speaker 1>involving the twin lumas Mari and Lou and the Lady
<v Speaker 1>of Shooting Stars. Nintendo says players can access it after
<v Speaker 1>the final chapter is available by clearing any galaxy and
<v Speaker 1>earning a Power Star. Nintendo also added a new track
<v Speaker 1>from the chapter to Nintendo Music and new nso icon
<v Speaker 1>elements tied to supermar Galaxy plus Super Mario Galaxy Too.
<v Speaker 1>This is a minor but very Nintendo sort of thing.
<v Speaker 1>They basically like the the the patch notes were like
<v Speaker 1>we made Laura updates, and everyone's like, what the hell
<v Speaker 1>are you talking about, and then everyone like, oh, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Miamota was just talking about wanting to like canonize the
<v Speaker 1>relationship between some characters that got revealed in the in
<v Speaker 1>the new movie, and everyone'say, oh is this that? Are
<v Speaker 1>they going back and retrofitting and sort of fixing up
<v Speaker 1>the story to reflect what happened in the movie.
<v Speaker 3>And it's not that.
<v Speaker 1>This is like a very small just like the story
<v Speaker 1>continued for a little bit. There's just not much to it.
<v Speaker 1>So it's a weird thing, very Nintendo weird. But I
<v Speaker 1>don't know, what do you what do you think this?
<v Speaker 1>Does this indicate anything else?
<v Speaker 2>Like?
<v Speaker 3>Is Star Wars Galaxy three happening?
<v Speaker 2>Like?
<v Speaker 3>What should we take away from this?
<v Speaker 1>Jason?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what Star Wars Galaxy three is. But
<v Speaker 2>Super Mario Oh.
<v Speaker 3>Like, oh my brain's breaking.
<v Speaker 1>Everybody here we.
<v Speaker 2>Are that sartified is going to be very unprofessional? Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>but no, I don't. I mean, it certainly will make
<v Speaker 2>people think that Galaxy three is the next mariat three
<v Speaker 2>D Mario game. And in such proximity to the movie,
<v Speaker 2>I guess I can understand the connective tissue there. But
<v Speaker 2>from what I understand, and I have not spoiled this
<v Speaker 2>for myself yet, this chapter does not really do much.
<v Speaker 2>It just kind of gives like maybe one extra layer
<v Speaker 2>to the already existing story. It's not anything.
<v Speaker 3>Groundbreaking understanding as well.
<v Speaker 2>It doesn't, even as I understand it, address the whole
<v Speaker 2>Peach thing from the movie, which they said that they
<v Speaker 2>might incorporate into.
<v Speaker 1>Action about that at all.
<v Speaker 2>So so like, what what the hell are we doing here?
<v Speaker 1>Right?
<v Speaker 2>Like? Are we just bored? Maybe it is Galaxy three.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe this is their way of ar geing us into
<v Speaker 2>a Galaxy three announcement that the next Intendo direct Who knows,
<v Speaker 2>but it that'd be great. Galaxy is one of my
<v Speaker 2>favorite game Mario games of all time, if not my
<v Speaker 2>favorite game of all favorite games of all time. Galaxy
<v Speaker 2>two just as good. I would love to see a
<v Speaker 2>Galaxy style three D platform on the switch to hardware.
<v Speaker 2>Could you imagine the kind of madness they could get
<v Speaker 2>into with that? But is this the first indicator or
<v Speaker 2>are they just kind of pulling our chain to make
<v Speaker 2>us buy the ports? Who knows? It could go either way.
<v Speaker 2>It's Nintendo. They're weird. We've established that they're very weird.
<v Speaker 1>Sometimes yeah, it's and it seems like this is the
<v Speaker 1>kind of weird where they're sitting around being like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>we have the movie happening, we have these games that
<v Speaker 1>we've ported to switch recently. Let's make sure that the
<v Speaker 1>people who are looking for Mario content after they come
<v Speaker 1>out of the movie have every reason to buy these games.
<v Speaker 1>And one idea to sort of make sure that its
<v Speaker 1>front and center is why don't we update the storybook
<v Speaker 1>chapters for Rosalina it's Super Mario Galaxy too. It's like
<v Speaker 1>I could see how they would say that in the meeting,
<v Speaker 1>and it's weird. It's like people thought that that would
<v Speaker 1>move the needle. But we're talking about it, and but
<v Speaker 1>I think we talk about it with the idea of
<v Speaker 1>what does this mean for something bigger?
<v Speaker 3>And I think it does.
<v Speaker 1>I think the real thing here is it's about selling
<v Speaker 1>these games specifically now.
<v Speaker 2>The one thing that will change the story from selling
<v Speaker 2>more games to perhaps something's happening in the future is
<v Speaker 2>if this happens again. Yeah, if next week or two
<v Speaker 2>weeks from now they update it again with a different
<v Speaker 2>storybook chapter and we start getting piecemeal, then the gears
<v Speaker 2>start turning. Right now, it's just a novel, neat little thing.
<v Speaker 2>If they continue to do this and they're trying something
<v Speaker 2>new to prepare us for the next Mario announcement, then
<v Speaker 2>I'll start to be like, Okay, now something's cooking and
<v Speaker 2>we don't know what that is yet, but for now,
<v Speaker 2>I'm just kind of like, yeah, neat. If they're going
<v Speaker 2>to port these games over to the Switch too and
<v Speaker 2>give them little updates like this, why not that seems
<v Speaker 2>like a good idea.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm all for it, and I'm curious to see it,
<v Speaker 1>but I've not looked at it myself. I just kind
<v Speaker 1>of got an understanding of what it is, and it's like, okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>very very minor stuff, all right. Next story, in Justice
<v Speaker 1>three looks is looking like the next fighting game from
<v Speaker 1>nether Realm. This is from Evan Campbell at Game Spot.
<v Speaker 1>After almost a decade without a new entry, the Injustice
<v Speaker 1>series might be returning from Nether Realm Studios. MP First
<v Speaker 1>reports a Warner Brothers game artist games artist listed Injustice
<v Speaker 1>three on their resume, alongside Hogwarts, Legacy two, and two
<v Speaker 1>unannounced projects. This comes almost a year after a data
<v Speaker 1>minor strongly hinted that Injustice three was in the works.
<v Speaker 1>It's been almost exactly nine years since Injustice two launched
<v Speaker 1>in May twenty seventeen. That's crazy to put that in perspective.
<v Speaker 1>The original Nintendo Switch had only been out two months,
<v Speaker 1>and Justice League hadn't even released in theaters yet. In fact,
<v Speaker 1>director Zack Snyder hadn't even stepped away from that DC
<v Speaker 1>film quite yet, a domino that led to the Snyder
<v Speaker 1>Cut movement, which is something we all fondly remember. Fast
<v Speaker 1>forward to today and James Gunn is now co leading
<v Speaker 1>DC Studios with Supergirls set to premiere in June. That
<v Speaker 1>brings us to our first question, Jason, we'll get into
<v Speaker 1>the deeper stuff of like is this happening blah blah blah,
<v Speaker 1>but an Injustice three? Do they have to adjust the
<v Speaker 1>tone of those games to sort of get away from
<v Speaker 1>the DC universe at the time, which was very Snyder coded,
<v Speaker 1>very grim and violent, to be more like James Guns movies.
<v Speaker 1>Or is this is a separate thing and they could
<v Speaker 1>do what they want and they continue the Injustice sort
<v Speaker 1>of vibes that they always had.
<v Speaker 2>I think I would lean towards sticking with the films
<v Speaker 2>because positive, the the the attitude around the films right
<v Speaker 2>now seems to be good with James Gunn at the
<v Speaker 2>helm and if you want to capture that the best
<v Speaker 2>or capture that similar sentiment, the best way to do
<v Speaker 2>that is to put them maybe not completely lockstep, maybe
<v Speaker 2>not fitted into his overall DC Extended Universe storyline idea,
<v Speaker 2>but at least give a certain sort of familiarity to it.
<v Speaker 2>I would prefer a original storyline. I would prefer something
<v Speaker 2>not just completely ripping off of those. But I also
<v Speaker 2>see the appeal of trying to capture the same audiences
<v Speaker 2>that you have been with James Gunns movies and projects.
<v Speaker 2>But so far, like I said, have been received. Well.
<v Speaker 2>Now my next my question is ESRB rating for a
<v Speaker 2>while and Justice was their team game. Mortal Kombat was
<v Speaker 2>their mature game. Do they take this opportunity to try
<v Speaker 2>and make a more mature, invincible style perhaps DC fighting game.
<v Speaker 2>If anybody can do that, it's it's Nether realm right,
<v Speaker 2>And I would love to see them take the more
<v Speaker 2>chore route because if you've never if you just play
<v Speaker 2>their video games and watch their cartoons, you would think
<v Speaker 2>DC comics was all flowers and rainbows. But once you
<v Speaker 2>start reading those freaking comics, they're gross. They get grown
<v Speaker 2>and dirty and grim and wild. So why can't the
<v Speaker 2>game reflect that too? You know, I'm saying I would
<v Speaker 2>love to see a M rated Injustice here. Do I
<v Speaker 2>think I'm going to get it? No, not necessarily, but
<v Speaker 2>I think you have to get it. If they go
<v Speaker 2>with the villain, I would assume they would go with,
<v Speaker 2>or I would want them to go with. And that's
<v Speaker 2>the Batman who laughs. I feel like he would be
<v Speaker 2>excellent for this game. People in check keep seeing Absolute Injustice.
<v Speaker 2>I guess that's Absolute Universe another alternative. Oh, okay universe. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>that sounds happening now. I think with all the like
<v Speaker 2>it's a different take on all the different heroes like
<v Speaker 2>Superman and Batman. I've been seeing a lot of like
<v Speaker 2>clips or page shots on Reddit and stuff like that
<v Speaker 2>and Facebook, and people seem to really be into the
<v Speaker 2>Absolute Universe. It just kind of started, though, as somebody
<v Speaker 2>points out in chat, so it might be a little
<v Speaker 2>too early considering when Injustice was being planned, if it's
<v Speaker 2>been being planned for how long, if they were being
<v Speaker 2>planned together, And maybe that's why nether Realms skipped the
<v Speaker 2>MK Injustice cadence to do two straight mks and to
<v Speaker 2>give themselves more, give Absolute more time to be developed.
<v Speaker 2>That would be cool too, but I don't know. I
<v Speaker 2>think it's due. I think right now, people are down
<v Speaker 2>on Mortal Kombat after Mortal Kombat won. Unfortunately, as much
<v Speaker 2>as I personally enjoyed that game, I kind of get
<v Speaker 2>it in DC as a whole is sort of on
<v Speaker 2>the uptick. So to shift nether realm to that and
<v Speaker 2>try to ride that wave up and maybe take what
<v Speaker 2>they learned from a new Injustice and import it back
<v Speaker 2>into their flagship franchise, it all makes sense to me.
<v Speaker 1>I think that the one key here that I would
<v Speaker 1>point to is like maybe guiding us as to what
<v Speaker 1>this might be like is there was that mention front
<v Speaker 1>Gun and who's this partner at DC I can't remember,
<v Speaker 1>but the other person helps him run the studios, basically saying, hey,
<v Speaker 1>we are going to try to make sure that the
<v Speaker 1>games and the movies all work together. Now. At the time,
<v Speaker 1>I remember it was a show that me and Jan
<v Speaker 1>did and we were talking like, good luck with that, brother,
<v Speaker 1>Like making movies is on a very different timeline than
<v Speaker 1>making games, and trying to make those two worlds work
<v Speaker 1>together is a fool's errand you will just be ripping
<v Speaker 1>your hair out here and not not very long from now.
<v Speaker 1>So the last thing we've heard publicly was them saying that, hey,
<v Speaker 1>we're going to try to get all the games and
<v Speaker 1>the movies on the same page. What that really means, Like,
<v Speaker 1>I'm still they're gonna give Nether Realm the lead, you know,
<v Speaker 1>the slack to do what they want for the most part.
<v Speaker 1>But if they wanted to sort of like be reflective
<v Speaker 1>of the movies in some way, I could see that
<v Speaker 1>maybe taking precedents over trying to catch up with what
<v Speaker 1>the comics are doing. Right in this moment, I like
<v Speaker 1>someone's idea of like, make this the bridge between universes,
<v Speaker 1>Like I have the equivalent of the Henry Cavill Superman
<v Speaker 1>fighting the New Superman, and really maybe I have a
<v Speaker 1>generation like make it Injustice generations and have it here's
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of different Superman's from all these different like
<v Speaker 1>film generations and comic generations and kind of do you
<v Speaker 1>know fifteen go kus like in the Dragon Ball Fighter
<v Speaker 1>and being like, yeah, you can pick your favorite one
<v Speaker 1>and that's what the story is going to be about.
<v Speaker 1>Now that's multiverse stuff, and I am over that, But
<v Speaker 1>I still think I would get those characters in there.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, dude, Adam West Batman would be super overpowered.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's true.
<v Speaker 2>I hain't nobody beating the Batman's dance anymore exactly, but no,
<v Speaker 2>I like that idea a lot, and multiverse is a
<v Speaker 2>bit overplayed at the moment, but if done well, I
<v Speaker 2>feel like people will forgive it, right, and that sounds
<v Speaker 2>pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>Yep.
<v Speaker 3>I think this, I guess is happening.
<v Speaker 1>Though people pointed out like, yeah, we've heard in Justice
<v Speaker 1>three for a very long time. You touched on like
<v Speaker 1>there was the you know, the two Mortal Kombats in
<v Speaker 1>a row, and I remember when I first was telling
<v Speaker 1>people now the albums that next game is going to
<v Speaker 1>be another Mortal Combat or it's like what about Justice
<v Speaker 1>It's like, no, they're taking a pause, but they're going
<v Speaker 1>back now. I think that is also right. So when
<v Speaker 1>do we see this It's it's hard to say. They
<v Speaker 1>Marina points out that they just did their last update
<v Speaker 1>for the you know, the quote unquote last update for
<v Speaker 1>Mortal Kombat one in December, so it doesn't feel like
<v Speaker 1>that team has fully moved over to this project. And
<v Speaker 1>then that's going to take some time, but we'll see.
<v Speaker 1>We see Microsoft response to Xbox backwards compatibility issues after
<v Speaker 1>fans complaining for weeks. This is from Eddie McCoo at GameSpot. Recently,
<v Speaker 1>Xbox owners have reported that some backwards compatible Xbox three
<v Speaker 1>sixty games are not launching properly on Xbox Series X
<v Speaker 1>and S, and now Microsoft has responded. Xbox executive Jason
<v Speaker 1>Ronalds said the team is investigating what he calls a
<v Speaker 1>rare issue affecting a small a small number of players
<v Speaker 1>pertaining to launching Xbox three sixty backward compatible titles on
<v Speaker 1>Xbox Series X and S. Specifically, people are saying they're
<v Speaker 1>getting a can't connect to Xbox Live air. Ronald said
<v Speaker 1>people who have received this message should actually him directly.
<v Speaker 1>There's actually been an update since this story happened on
<v Speaker 1>the reddit thread where they were tracking these issues and
<v Speaker 1>people were like like trying different routers and sending each
<v Speaker 1>other different Xboxes, and they were doing all this research
<v Speaker 1>to try to figure out what was going on here
<v Speaker 1>in the community. They got an update yesterday that says,
<v Speaker 1>I'm very pleased to say that it seems this issue
<v Speaker 1>has now been fixed, honestly, and then they've gone to
<v Speaker 1>thank everyone for helping them to figure this out. It
<v Speaker 1>did take a minute to like sort of get Xbox's
<v Speaker 1>attention and to get Jason Ronald to look at this.
<v Speaker 1>But once he did, it seems like all of the
<v Speaker 1>work the community did to track that stuff down planted
<v Speaker 1>them in the right direction and they were able to
<v Speaker 1>fix it pretty quickly. Yeah, it's frustrating that it took
<v Speaker 1>weeks of sort of complaining about this, because you know,
<v Speaker 1>this is one of those features that I think people
<v Speaker 1>still look at the Xbox at and say, that's really
<v Speaker 1>cool that they did all that work to make sure
<v Speaker 1>so many of these games are supported. Would love it
<v Speaker 1>if they kept doing it, But we get a lot
<v Speaker 1>of it came down to license at a certain point
<v Speaker 1>and getting permission from publishers for games that are dead,
<v Speaker 1>and they did what they could. But with the future,
<v Speaker 1>the future, when it's working and when it's there and
<v Speaker 1>for the games that it works with, it has been fantastic.
<v Speaker 1>So when it breaks, it's like, man, it's it's everything
<v Speaker 1>going to sort of just subsume to entropy and it's
<v Speaker 1>going to fall apart because Microsoft doesn't care about this anymore.
<v Speaker 1>And it seems like, at least for now, the answer
<v Speaker 1>to that question is no, because you know, backward ampatibility
<v Speaker 1>very cool.
<v Speaker 2>Right, Yes, I also think that they will jump at
<v Speaker 2>any chance to get the pr win right. And even
<v Speaker 2>though it took a while for fans to get their attention,
<v Speaker 2>as soon as that attention was given, they seem to
<v Speaker 2>fix it pretty fast. So that's a good thing I think.
<v Speaker 2>And it's not like and I do, and I'm very
<v Speaker 2>much playing devil's advocate here, but it's not like Microsoft
<v Speaker 2>wasn't doing anything in the last couple of weeks, right,
<v Speaker 2>They've just been going over through a mass overhaul and
<v Speaker 2>introducing Astra Sharma to the fold and then the starting
<v Speaker 2>the Sharma Booty era, which it's just fun to say,
<v Speaker 2>but but so would they have answered faster if in
<v Speaker 2>a normal, normal climate. There's no way to know, but
<v Speaker 2>the fact that they got on it is a good sign.
<v Speaker 2>And whether if that's what's going to happen again with
<v Speaker 2>a future issue, whether it's with backwards compatibility or with
<v Speaker 2>something else, remains to be seen. But I do like,
<v Speaker 2>I do like the speed in which they got to
<v Speaker 2>it once it was on their radar. We just have
<v Speaker 2>to figure out how to get it on the radar
<v Speaker 2>radar faster without resorting to you know, torches and pitchforks
<v Speaker 2>and profanities and direct message boxes.
<v Speaker 3>That's yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Fact, as soon as he said as DM me, I
<v Speaker 2>was like, oh boy, well you know what you open
<v Speaker 2>yourself up to. Well, but it seemed to be seemed
<v Speaker 2>to be okay. It's a win for a company that
<v Speaker 2>is looking for every chance they can get to get one.
<v Speaker 2>And let's see how they continue this trend. Let's see
<v Speaker 2>if it continues.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>I think the one thing that I think about here
<v Speaker 1>is that that team that did backward compatibility not paying
<v Speaker 1>attention to this is probably not because it's been like
<v Speaker 1>completely disbanded. It's probably because it's been transformed into the
<v Speaker 1>team that is responsible for making sure that that open
<v Speaker 1>PC Xbox thing that they're going to make next generation
<v Speaker 1>has full one hundred percent compatibility with every physical Xbox
<v Speaker 1>game that has ever been made, at least for at
<v Speaker 1>least for the recent couple of generations. And that's a
<v Speaker 1>tall order because there's they're going to want to make
<v Speaker 1>sure that they really cover their bases there, uh, because
<v Speaker 1>they're going to sell this thing as an Xbox and
<v Speaker 1>the whole thing is you put your Xbox games in
<v Speaker 1>there and it should work. Well, that's going to be
<v Speaker 1>a little bit different, as the architecture change is just
<v Speaker 1>a little bit for this generation. So uh yeah, I
<v Speaker 1>bet they're busy putting out other fires as they get
<v Speaker 1>ready for their next generation. Got a teflon billion chat
<v Speaker 1>is talk about Blitz the League and how you still
<v Speaker 1>need an original Xbox through sixty to play that. Chat
<v Speaker 1>Let me ask you would blitz the league? And blitz
<v Speaker 1>the League two make for good endurance run games? Do
<v Speaker 1>you make like a lot of choices in theirs? There that?
<v Speaker 1>Because it feels like that would be a good like
<v Speaker 1>calendar style game where you're going through a season and
<v Speaker 1>deciding whether or not to inject your players with uh,
<v Speaker 1>you know, the drugs so they can keep playing when
<v Speaker 1>they're hurt. Not the first one, but the second one. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>Sean says, no, don't bad. Look, Oh I'm sorry, I
<v Speaker 1>didn't know. You're mystery Roger Goodell over here trying to
<v Speaker 1>protect the NFL sean.
<v Speaker 2>Doctor fighting in Chad again the girlies again.
<v Speaker 1>Man. Okay, now the way that now, the way that
<v Speaker 1>Chad is saying do it that has me worried. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>So the Outer World Spacer's Choice Edition becomes a free
<v Speaker 1>upgrade cool, like interesting like that. So if you had
<v Speaker 1>the game now in like the base version, you're going
<v Speaker 1>to get upgraded to Spacer's Choice Edition, which was the
<v Speaker 1>ten dollars sort of deluxe edition that had like a
<v Speaker 1>bad reputation to be like, oh, it's not really worth it.
<v Speaker 1>But now they've they've done some work to repair of
<v Speaker 1>that and they're giving that to everybody. Maybe a little
<v Speaker 1>frustrating for people who paid that ten dollars, but also
<v Speaker 1>seems like a gesture of goodwill to that community. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Outer Worlds is they've had Outer Worlds too. Now they've
<v Speaker 1>done They've had Outer Worlds out for a long time.
<v Speaker 1>Just kind of a nice thing, right, Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Kind of weird that these older games are getting these
<v Speaker 2>these updates, whether it's lower friendly or consumer friendly, it's
<v Speaker 2>all these companies are like, hey, we have all this
<v Speaker 2>backlog sitting here, maybe we can drum up some extra
<v Speaker 2>interest by doing this thing.
<v Speaker 3>Cool.
<v Speaker 2>More people should play the Outer Worlds and Out of
<v Speaker 2>World's too. I love them, especially if you like Obsidians
<v Speaker 2>take on Fallout in New Vegas very much in a
<v Speaker 2>similar vein, even if the universe is different. Out of
<v Speaker 2>World's two was one of the one of my favorite
<v Speaker 2>games of last year. That perk system is definitely something
<v Speaker 2>you should check out. And anybody who did pay that
<v Speaker 2>ten bucks, yeah, I feel for you that I can
<v Speaker 2>see why you'd be like what. I supported you from
<v Speaker 2>the beginning, and this is the thanks I get. But
<v Speaker 2>I don't really know what recourse there is, so I
<v Speaker 2>guess all I can say is sorry, y'all.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you know, early adopter tax and stuff, and
<v Speaker 1>then we're talking about years and years and years at
<v Speaker 1>this point.
<v Speaker 3>This is enormous sort of thing.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, Sumnautica two, we talked about this a little bit,
<v Speaker 1>but let's give it its full due here on this episode.
<v Speaker 1>Sumnautka two gets a May fourteenth early access date. This
<v Speaker 1>does come after all that drama between Crafton and Unknown Worlds,
<v Speaker 1>the publisher and developer respectively. Sumnauka two is going to
<v Speaker 1>enter early access on May fourteenth for thirty dollars on
<v Speaker 1>PC and Xbox Series X and S. Unknown Worlds announced
<v Speaker 1>the date with a cinematic trailer, while The Verge frames
<v Speaker 1>to launch around the lengthy Craft and Unknown World's dispute,
<v Speaker 1>including leadership changes in the fight over a large performance
<v Speaker 1>based bonus like if people remember us covering that story.
<v Speaker 1>The executive at crafton, the chief executive officer asked chat
<v Speaker 1>GPT how he could get away with not paying a
<v Speaker 1>two hundred fifty million dollar bonus when this game would
<v Speaker 1>come out and meet all of the thresholds it needed
<v Speaker 1>to meet, which was obviously going to happen, and as
<v Speaker 1>lawyers were likely, now you're gonna have to pay him.
<v Speaker 1>You just have to.
<v Speaker 3>And he's like, well, I'll just do it, CHATCHYBT says instead.
<v Speaker 1>And now the game's coming out, these people are gonna
<v Speaker 1>get their bonus, and that guy's gonna probably go even
<v Speaker 1>more money when it's all said and done. He had
<v Speaker 1>to reinstate the people that he fired to try to
<v Speaker 1>stop the game from getting released. It's wild this date
<v Speaker 1>was leaked kind of vaguely by and leaked it was
<v Speaker 1>said by crafton a few weeks ago. And that was
<v Speaker 1>also a point of contention because Unknown World, it's like,
<v Speaker 1>we need to control the messaging. That was part of
<v Speaker 1>the agreement. It was part of the thing the court
<v Speaker 1>told you you had to let us. Do you continue
<v Speaker 1>to fuck this up for us? Can you please just stop?
<v Speaker 1>Seems like this is the way they wanted to announce
<v Speaker 1>it though, with a cinematic trailer ready to go, and
<v Speaker 1>I look for all the drama. I think this game
<v Speaker 1>is going to be enormous.
<v Speaker 2>I agree that fan base is ravenous, even more so
<v Speaker 2>with all of the corporate bullshit happening in the background.
<v Speaker 2>They're going to want to get in there and support
<v Speaker 2>this the game as soon as they possibly can. And
<v Speaker 2>I don't think any developer on Earth at the current
<v Speaker 2>moment will be as glad to have their game launch
<v Speaker 2>in any capacity as Unknown Worlds after all of the
<v Speaker 2>absolute shit they have had to go through in the
<v Speaker 2>last months and years or year or so whatever it's
<v Speaker 2>been since this has been happening. Fuck chat PPT. Let's
<v Speaker 2>put that out there too, so to make sure that's
<v Speaker 2>abundantly clear, you shouldn't use it for anything other than no, nothing,
<v Speaker 2>I don't have anything. Sorry, just don't use it. But
<v Speaker 2>I'm glad he's getting exactly what he deserves. I'm getting
<v Speaker 2>I'm glad that developers are getting exactly what they deserve
<v Speaker 2>in the bonus that they should be paid. And I
<v Speaker 2>hope this game comes out and blows everyone away to
<v Speaker 2>the point where it becomes the next big early access
<v Speaker 2>title up there with like Balder's Gate when that one
<v Speaker 2>in early access and then when that launched as well
<v Speaker 2>as it did. I want the same success for them
<v Speaker 2>because they.
<v Speaker 1>Deserve it excellent. So let's let's see last couple of
<v Speaker 1>stories here. Last. Sorry, these numbers explain why Sony is
<v Speaker 1>stopping the ports from PC five or PFC five from
<v Speaker 1>PS five to PC PC Friday PC five is gonna
<v Speaker 1>be the name of the emulator for sure. This is
<v Speaker 1>from Sammy Parker at Push Square. It's really no wonder
<v Speaker 1>Sony's backing away from it from bringing its single player
<v Speaker 1>games to PC because these numbers look pretty paltry when
<v Speaker 1>compared to some other games that release on PC. The
<v Speaker 1>Game Business published the following lunch Lunch month. Man, it
<v Speaker 1>really is on Professional Friday launch month sales data for
<v Speaker 1>a number of Sony first party games, and it all
<v Speaker 1>makes for an eye opening reading. Ghost of Sushima had
<v Speaker 1>seven hundred and ten thousand, which is I think pretty respectable. Actually,
<v Speaker 1>God of War Ragnarok had three hundred thousand, though Marvel
<v Speaker 1>spider Man two two hundred and sixty thousand, and Horizon
<v Speaker 1>Forbidding West just two hundred and thirty thousand.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, Ghost of Sushima did do pretty well.
<v Speaker 1>These are the ones you would expect to do just
<v Speaker 1>as well or better, though, and they did not. Like
<v Speaker 1>let's they half and to me, Jason, I think when
<v Speaker 1>Sony sees this, they're like, yes, this is what they
<v Speaker 1>would call mostly free money, right. They pay a little
<v Speaker 1>bit for a couple of teams that they already have
<v Speaker 1>to make sure that these are ported to PC, and
<v Speaker 1>then every sale that happens on PC is just icing
<v Speaker 1>on the cake. But I think they're also like, we
<v Speaker 1>want our games to feel like a special they should
<v Speaker 1>feel like events, and on PlayStation they still do, and
<v Speaker 1>on PC, boy does Horizon Forbid and West just feel
<v Speaker 1>like yet another game? And we don't want that feeling
<v Speaker 1>about our games to creep into the PlayStation side of
<v Speaker 1>the fence and make people go like it's just another game,
<v Speaker 1>because it's just like if we put it on PC,
<v Speaker 1>no one's even carrying now day and date releases for
<v Speaker 1>these games. I think the story is a little bit different, Jason,
<v Speaker 1>But I don't think PlayStation wanted to test those waters yet.
<v Speaker 1>Instead they're like, let's pull things back and then we
<v Speaker 1>get all these other benefits of locking exclusives down to
<v Speaker 1>our platform as the PlayStation six gets ready to launch,
<v Speaker 1>and we could always to reverse this decision later. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>looking at these numbers, I do think they're worried about
<v Speaker 1>the prestige around PlayStation games waning because PC players are
<v Speaker 1>just not viewing them as special or as events.
<v Speaker 2>I think we are entering a new golden age of exclusives.
<v Speaker 2>And when I say golden age, I mean like all
<v Speaker 2>three of the major console creators, console publishers, manufacturers. Nintendo
<v Speaker 2>never stopped to be fair. But I think Xbox and
<v Speaker 2>PlayStation are going to start building that silo again, and
<v Speaker 2>we're going to start seeing that sort of competition with
<v Speaker 2>some first party titles, don't I'm not going to sit
<v Speaker 2>here and say all of them. I think MLB the
<v Speaker 2>Show will always be multiplatform because it's a sport and
<v Speaker 2>it has to. I think Fortza now has more than
<v Speaker 2>proven it has an audience on both consoles and that
<v Speaker 2>will never be exclusive again. But for single player narrative
<v Speaker 2>games or competitive multiplayer games, for maybe whatever live service
<v Speaker 2>games still exist. I just don't know. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>if we're ever going to see that multi platform again.
<v Speaker 2>I think we're going to start seeing the exclusives happen
<v Speaker 2>once again, so you can see exclusive on Xbox World
<v Speaker 2>Premiere during the showcases. And honestly, I don't hate it.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, if you're building a game specifically for your
<v Speaker 2>architecture without having to worry about the other architectures out there,
<v Speaker 2>you may be able to maximize things just by your
<v Speaker 2>knowledge of the Xbox as a first party developer. So
<v Speaker 2>what remains to be seen whether I'm even right, but
<v Speaker 2>I wouldn't hate it. I don't think I own all
<v Speaker 2>the consoles anyway, so maybe that's why I'm saying this,
<v Speaker 2>but I don't know. It seems like it certainly seems
<v Speaker 2>like we're going to some sort of new era of exclusivity.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I know. I'm like always wonder about, Hey, the
<v Speaker 1>Steam deck does fine and it doesn't have an exclusive
<v Speaker 1>have exclusives, And then I start thinking about that, I'm like, well, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, yes it does. There's all kinds of games
<v Speaker 1>that run on PC and aren't on any of the consoles,
<v Speaker 1>and so I'm asking I just asked chat with a
<v Speaker 1>poll real quick, and immediately everyone's like, yeah, the PC
<v Speaker 1>has exclusive games, Like that's that is kind of built
<v Speaker 1>in there, and it's not like first party exclusives, but
<v Speaker 1>there are just dozens of games that either work way
<v Speaker 1>better on PC or only are on PC, and then
<v Speaker 1>they have obviously like emulators and all this other stuff
<v Speaker 1>you could do. So yeah, like the PC's got this
<v Speaker 1>unfair advantage almost when it comes to this stuff. And
<v Speaker 1>so these companies really really do have to protect any
<v Speaker 1>sort of sense of specialness that their games create by
<v Speaker 1>being exclusive. And I think you know this thing that
<v Speaker 1>we're talking about of a game being on PlayStation five
<v Speaker 1>or PlayStation four coming to PC years later and just
<v Speaker 1>not like moving the needle much. I think that would
<v Speaker 1>even happen to a lot of Nintendo games, a lot
<v Speaker 1>like Mario Zelda. Okay, that's one thing, but anything outside
<v Speaker 1>of those, It's like Nintendo games would also be like, no,
<v Speaker 1>these are just another game. These are not that special.
<v Speaker 1>They feel more special when they're exclusive. So this is
<v Speaker 1>not some PlayStation problem.
<v Speaker 2>The only thing that might be exception to that rule
<v Speaker 2>is if you're poorting a Nintendo first party game to
<v Speaker 2>another console, you're benefiting from extra power, sure, right, so
<v Speaker 2>whatever upgrades in that regard might move the needle a
<v Speaker 2>little bit more, but for the most part, yes, I
<v Speaker 2>agree with you. I think they would just kind of
<v Speaker 2>fall into the rest of their portfolio outside of the
<v Speaker 2>top two or three franchises excellence.
<v Speaker 1>All right, we have gotten through the headlines. Everybody, well done,
<v Speaker 1>I survived. Thank you Jason Vonelli for har of your support. There.
<v Speaker 1>Let's start wrapping up the show and start wrapping up
<v Speaker 1>the week, everybody. We have a poll question from yesterday
<v Speaker 1>that we need to get to. Let's go ahead and
<v Speaker 1>get the most recent results right here. This was a
<v Speaker 1>simple one. I was curious about do you play racing games?
<v Speaker 1>And the options for yes all the time, yes, the
<v Speaker 1>really good ones, no, thirty two percent just said no,
<v Speaker 1>twelve percent said yes all the time, and then fifty
<v Speaker 1>fifty six percent said yes, they're really good ones.
<v Speaker 3>So people pick one here or there. They hear it's like, oh,
<v Speaker 3>that's a lot of fun.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, there's twelve percent they're like, no, that's my genre,
<v Speaker 1>and then the rest of us are like, yeah, when
<v Speaker 1>for it's a Horizon six comes out, we'll be playing that.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, got a good look at it. Jason, how
<v Speaker 1>about how do you feel about it? Do you play
<v Speaker 1>a lot of racing games.
<v Speaker 2>I try to. I find myself liking more of the
<v Speaker 2>Arcadie style racers, like your your Horizons, your your Mario Karts,
<v Speaker 2>things like that. The real deep grindy simulation racers. I
<v Speaker 2>try to get in, but I'm just not a gearhead,
<v Speaker 2>so there are things that I'm probably missing that people
<v Speaker 2>were like, well, do you have to do this? And
<v Speaker 2>I'd be like, no, I just wanted to make the
<v Speaker 2>cargo fast.
<v Speaker 1>What do you say about that?
<v Speaker 2>You know?
<v Speaker 1>So I definitely like imagine myself playing I racing. I'm
<v Speaker 1>never Yeah, I don't know if I have it in
<v Speaker 1>me to actually do it.
<v Speaker 2>I'll sit in the chair and push the pedal. As
<v Speaker 2>soon as I hit the first fall, They're gonna.
<v Speaker 1>Kick me off the cop right if I If I
<v Speaker 1>like it was at packs and I saw like someone
<v Speaker 1>have a huge, awesome set up a huge rig with
<v Speaker 1>I racing in there. I'm like, yeah, there's no line.
<v Speaker 1>I'll go sit down there and try it. But I'm
<v Speaker 1>not gonna wait in a line, but spend all the
<v Speaker 1>money to get that I'm not.
<v Speaker 2>Able to get in my basement, that's for sure.
<v Speaker 1>All right. No new poll question because it's Friday, We're
<v Speaker 1>gonna do the bomb twelve here in a little bit,
<v Speaker 1>so let's get through everything else. Jason Finelli, what do
<v Speaker 1>you have going on? Where can people find you? Tell
<v Speaker 1>people all that good stuff?
<v Speaker 2>Jasonfinelli dot com One Blue Sky, big Man Fineale on
<v Speaker 2>Instagram is where I'm most active on social media. Have
<v Speaker 2>a couple of articles going up later today. Magic Con
<v Speaker 2>Las Vegas happening today. Got a little preview of what
<v Speaker 2>they're going to be showing off, and I'm going to
<v Speaker 2>react to that. That go up about five o'clock Eastern
<v Speaker 2>I think two o'clock Pacific, I think is when that's
<v Speaker 2>going up, So the panel will be live streamed. My
<v Speaker 2>impressions will go up right after that. Not a whole
<v Speaker 2>lot other than Summer Games Fest coming on the horizon here,
<v Speaker 2>or a lot of appointments, a lot of appointments coming in.
<v Speaker 2>I totaled it out. There are twenty six combined hours
<v Speaker 2>of play days, eight hours on two days, ten hours
<v Speaker 2>on one day. I have all but three and a
<v Speaker 2>half hours booked. I'm gonna be wiped, but it's gonna right.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I'm gonna then you gotta promise to come on
<v Speaker 1>the couch early Friday night.
<v Speaker 3>Can you come Friday night.
<v Speaker 2>We'll see, we will see I will. I'll see when
<v Speaker 2>you're when you're what you're thinking for couch, We'll see
<v Speaker 2>what's going on, and then we'll plan accordingly. But I
<v Speaker 2>would like to I am definitely gonna be sitting on
<v Speaker 2>that couch potentially beer in hand, will have a good time.
<v Speaker 2>But yeah, I will. I'm flying in Thursday night. I
<v Speaker 2>got a whole slate of things going on, and I
<v Speaker 2>am very much looking forward to that. It's one of
<v Speaker 2>my favorite times of the year.
<v Speaker 1>Looking forward to it as well. I'm gonna be spending
<v Speaker 1>a good chunk of today starting to put that couch together. Everybody,
<v Speaker 1>So GB at Night is returning. It's gonna be a
<v Speaker 1>lot of fun.
<v Speaker 2>Is it a key a couch? Are you actually putting
<v Speaker 2>it together?
<v Speaker 1>We might actually have to put a couch together. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. We gotta, we gotta. We've got a nice
<v Speaker 1>place to do things at. They have a lot of stuff,
<v Speaker 1>So we'll see what the actual options are. But yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna be spending a lot of today figuring out
<v Speaker 1>what this is all gonna look like. Everybody. I'm starting
<v Speaker 1>to get pretty excited, So Yeah, GB at Night's gonna
<v Speaker 1>be happening Friday and Saturday that weekend, and then we'll
<v Speaker 1>have plenty of cool coverage of us actually being there,
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to hanging out with the guys again and
<v Speaker 1>seeing Jason Fonelli and the rest of the industry. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>let's see Giant Bomb today upf three pm Eastern, that's
<v Speaker 1>noon Pacific. We're gonna be doing a grab bag. I
<v Speaker 1>think we'll just trying out a bunch of stuff.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>We're gonna be hanging there, hanging and clanging. Tune in
<v Speaker 1>for that and then, yeah, only cool stuff happened on
<v Speaker 1>the website this week. Go go to giant bomb dot com.
<v Speaker 1>You can see that Double O seven preview hearing really
<v Speaker 1>good things. I'll tell you what this, Jason. If that
<v Speaker 1>game comes out and it's like a good game with
<v Speaker 1>a lot of problems and it's in like the high
<v Speaker 1>seventies on Open Critic, I'm gonna be excited to play
<v Speaker 1>that game because that's where I expect it to land.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm like, I think, I bet I'm gonna be
<v Speaker 1>able to find the fun. But we will. I think
<v Speaker 1>we're gonna have to talk about the preview problem because
<v Speaker 1>this is the latest game that's like, this is a
<v Speaker 1>Game of the Year contender. I'm seeing that in multiple previews,
<v Speaker 1>and previews are glowing for so many games and then
<v Speaker 1>comment say, hey, you know it's okay. Uh We're like
<v Speaker 1>why does this keep happening? But well, to wait and see.
<v Speaker 1>If it happens with Double O seven, then we'll have
<v Speaker 1>that conversation. If it doesn't, then it's probably just you know,
<v Speaker 1>a random a point of data and it's just a
<v Speaker 1>more noise in the signal or whatever.
<v Speaker 2>Uh oh yeah, go ahead, please, real quick, real quick.
<v Speaker 2>I just want to talk about how other Giant Bomb
<v Speaker 2>programming got me in a in a bit of heat
<v Speaker 2>backstage during the show. I was on my groove getting
<v Speaker 2>into a getting into my costume. The door was open
<v Speaker 2>and out of nowhere, just because I was, you know
<v Speaker 2>in it. Sometimes you sing out loud or you hum
<v Speaker 2>out loud. I just started going. Everyone looked at me like,
<v Speaker 2>what the hell's the matter with you? I'm like, you
<v Speaker 2>know a lot you don't want to know. It's do
<v Speaker 2>you know don Blueface?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah?
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, thanks Dan.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, it is all Dan's fall. Absolutely. Someone was playing
<v Speaker 1>dead as disco with the space Ace music. That was
<v Speaker 1>incredible stuff.
<v Speaker 2>Same person I reposted on Blue Sky that same person
<v Speaker 2>made a very funny bit involving Dot of War until Madacci.
<v Speaker 2>You should check that out too.
<v Speaker 1>Hell yeah, all right, I think we've gotten everything out
<v Speaker 1>of the way. Let's go ahead and get to the
<v Speaker 1>bomb twelve everybody, These are the twelve games that really
<v Speaker 1>matter to people who are really playing video games. Let's
<v Speaker 1>start with number twelve here Pokemon Champions. Number eleven is
<v Speaker 1>Our Greaterers. Number ten is Slay the Spire too. Number
<v Speaker 1>nine Haiti two. Number eight is Sorrows. That'll probably be
<v Speaker 1>much higher next week once once it's out for everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Now that it's out for everybody, I should say number
<v Speaker 1>seven is Pokemon Pacopia. Number six is Final Fantasy fourteen,
<v Speaker 1>surging on that new content. Number five is Tomadocci Life
<v Speaker 1>Living the Dream. Number four is Titanium Court. Then number
<v Speaker 1>three is Marathon. Number two is Vampire Crawlers, and number
<v Speaker 1>one is Pragmata. Well, dumb, that's a couple of weeks
<v Speaker 1>in a row for Pragmata. I know Vampire Crawlers. When
<v Speaker 1>I was looking at the numbers, was right there. Those
<v Speaker 1>games were.
<v Speaker 3>Basically tied actually for the Bomb twelve.
<v Speaker 1>A couple other tidbits for you all. Let's see here,
<v Speaker 1>Let's pick out some random games that got one vote.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see here, Brave Fencer Musashi, Someone's rocking that. Let's
<v Speaker 1>see City of Gangsters. Was that that Brenda Romero game?
<v Speaker 1>It might have been I can't remember. Deep Rock Galactic
<v Speaker 1>Survivor got one vote. Dead Island two got one vote.
<v Speaker 1>Let's see here, Fear got one vote. Yeah, I mean
<v Speaker 1>there's a ton of games here. Marvel's Midnight Suns. Okay, wait,
<v Speaker 1>prag Amada got one vote, so okay. Sometimes sometimes the
<v Speaker 1>spelling aires get caught. Everybody, pragam delicious, Pragamada. Oh when
<v Speaker 1>Moosema had one vote as well? Where do you guys go?
<v Speaker 1>Where'd the horse girls go? Everybody's what people are asking.
<v Speaker 1>Listen up on the site right now. I updated this morning,
<v Speaker 1>so you can go add your game for next week's
<v Speaker 1>Bomb twelve right now. If you go to Giant bomb
<v Speaker 1>dot com, scroll down, you'll be able to see that
<v Speaker 1>the updated Bomb twelve and then there's a vote here tab.
<v Speaker 1>Click on that. It'll send you to the Google form
<v Speaker 1>submit your game for next week's Bomb twelve, and we'll
<v Speaker 1>wrap things up that way once again. With that all
<v Speaker 1>out of the way though, Jason Finelli, thank you so
<v Speaker 1>much for hanging out with me today and talking about
<v Speaker 1>video games. Man, I really appreciate it.
<v Speaker 2>Happy to do it. Fun Friday, Go go take some medicine.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm gonna do my best. I'm gonna say I'm
<v Speaker 1>gonna say down and do some work. That's the way
<v Speaker 1>it's gonna happen for the rest of thurday. Thanks for watching, everybody,
<v Speaker 1>You're the best audience in gaming. Until next time, have
<v Speaker 1>a good one, take care of yourself, and goodbye.
