00:00:01 Speaker 1: Hello everyone, and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour. 00:00:04 Speaker 2: I'm Cheerity and I'm Rachel, and today we have a very special guest, someone who basically is the reason I got through Paradise. 00:00:12 Speaker 3: Wells, thank you for being on Happy Hour today. 00:00:15 Speaker 4: Yeah, how is there a show about the Bachelor cold happy Hour that isn't hosted by the guy who is the main host of Happy Hour in Paradise. I don't understand it. 00:00:26 Speaker 2: I do those and it's so funny when people always ask, like, does Wells actually like serve the drinks? Yes, he does, and he serves an amazing drink. 00:00:37 Speaker 4: That's a hot take. I feel like I do. 00:00:42 Speaker 2: No you you poor me very strong, which is exactly what I need. 00:00:46 Speaker 4: Listen, I see all right, like I am the ten thousand foot view, and when I see someone that really needs, you know, a country club, poor just me aft of those country wars. 00:01:06 Speaker 2: Well I was the most frequent uh patret at your bar. 00:01:12 Speaker 1: I think, I say there the whole time, Rachel, what was your go to champagne? 00:01:17 Speaker 2: Would get? That's fine, more champagne, more champagne, and Wells knew exactly my favorite cup. We we got through that together. Yeah, I don't think I could have done. 00:01:27 Speaker 3: It without you. 00:01:27 Speaker 4: But I do love the fact that you say that I'm a great bartender and your drink is champagne. Like I didn't have to mix anything. 00:01:35 Speaker 2: Literally, Easis could be sometimes two drinks an hour. This swallow Report Welles Meade show is taking care of exactly an amazing bartender. 00:01:44 Speaker 5: And Wells, you've kind of been all over the place. 00:01:47 Speaker 2: You have done a Food Network show, you are doing a new golfing show. 00:01:51 Speaker 5: Tell us about it. 00:01:53 Speaker 4: Yeah, so Food Network. This past like Christmas time, I did a show called Sweet Empire where I hosted like a baking competition, like hyper realistic kind of like is it cake type of a thing. I got the film in Toronto and it was awesome. Like I always make the joke that, like the I have the greatest job in the world where I just go to Parrot quote unquote Paradise and just make drinks and like watch a bunch of idiots make out in front of me. But I gotta say, if you can get into the Food Network hosting game, it is money because it's like walk out, hit a mark, say a funny thing, and then eat and that's it. Like that's the job. 00:02:33 Speaker 1: A dream. 00:02:34 Speaker 4: It is truly the best thing in the world, and then only only topped by the other show that I'm doing right now on the Golf Channel, which is called the Vanity Index podcast that I started with my buddy Chad who did the Full Swing Golf show on Netflix, where we just get to talk about golf and have like giant celebrities on that we don't want to talk about, Like we had Andy Garcia, who's like he's in Landman and like the Godfather, and we were like, we're not talking about Landman. We want to talk about golf. And it's been so much fun. So I'm sure that you guys have a lot of golf listeners here. If you love golf, please go watch the Golf Channel on Wednesday mornings. 00:03:13 Speaker 2: Well, as you're kind of in your Jesse Palmer era like the food a little bit, are you going to be hosting the Batchler next? 00:03:18 Speaker 5: Like I see the trajectory for you. 00:03:21 Speaker 4: No, I think Jesse's got that one on down Pat. I just like being a part of Paradise. I hope that continues on because that's a really fun show to get to go do, and like, let's be honest, I don't know if you know, there was a there was a moment in time when everyone thought I was going to be the host of that show, right like in between Jesse and Chris and everyone's trying to figure it out. I don't know if anyone takes me serious enough to host that show, Like I think I'm too like Waka Waka funny guy, And I don't know if people would like, be like I don't know if I can take him so serious to host this show. 00:03:57 Speaker 2: You know, I feel like people don't know that Jesse's kind of serious. 00:04:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, And I also would argue that, like I feel like for Paradise, like your personality is like perfect for that. Like obviously maybe leave like the main shows to Jesse, but like if you were to take over Paradise as hosting, I feel like that's so because you know, I mean, Pierre's kind of is just a little chaotic. 00:04:18 Speaker 4: Yeah, but I don't know if you could host it. And also I would still want to bartend, like I get so much Okay, so like that's a weird thing to say, Like of course I would love to be the host of the show, but like for sure, like it's so much different and it's it's it's hard to explain, but like, the stakes for me are so much greater than they are for Jesse in that place, because I'm like entrenched with you guys, Like I'm a part of the landscape of like what's happening, and I'm giving my advice and trying to guide everyone as best as I can. Where it's like you need a host that comes in and is like, Okay, today we're doing this, Now go do that, and then and then there's the fallout comes to me and it's like, oh my god, what's going on? 00:05:04 Speaker 5: And it really does come to you. 00:05:05 Speaker 4: Yeah, So for me, like when forever reason, the stakes are much higher for me because I either get really invested in these relationships and like I really love these stories and I think it's important for like the host to kind of be separated from that. So yeah, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I actually love doing that job. 00:05:24 Speaker 3: I want to ask, what was it like this season? 00:05:27 Speaker 2: It seemed so much different watching it having been there before. What was it like hosting with Hannah? What did you think about the change? 00:05:35 Speaker 4: I thought we did a lot of things great, and I thought there were some things that we left from the old show that I wished stuck around, and then I kind of started seeing it bleed back in. You know, like I think that I really missed the silly intros. We like went away from that. And what I love about Paradise in comparison to the other two shows or other four shows, whatever, is that it starts it starts out a comedy. So it's it's known from the jump that like this is a fun time. You know, like obviously it's gonna be drama, and there's gonna be fireworks and there's gonna be passion and everything. But like at the root of it is this, this is a fun experience. It's a it's a singles retreat. We just filmed the ENTI so basically, yeah, and so we went away from that and then we went away from the song. Those two things I was like, we can't do. We don't mess with that. I loved. I was really I was really trepidacious about the challenges or the. 00:06:41 Speaker 1: I was gonna ask, yeah, exercises. 00:06:45 Speaker 4: And I didn't love the idea, I'll be honest with you, I didn't love the idea of money being involved. I thought that, you know, the whole show is is is lynchpinned around this one cliche of like being there for the right reasons, and for me, money is like the one thing that like makes it kind of not there for the right reasons. But I will admit when I'm wrong, and I was one hundred percent wrong. Those those exercises helped. It made the couples that were going to last bond really really well, which, like Rachel, you remember, like one of the big problems that we always had in Paradise in years past was like at the end, we'd bring in people, but like we just always felt bad for them because everyone else was like already in these relationships and it was like they didn't really get a fair shake or like a really good opportunity, Whereas like we kind of stopped bringing people in and we started doing these exercises, and you could really see who was gonna work well outside of the show and then the money thing, Like I don't I wasn't privy to this information, but my thought was, you know, the entire season was about these exercises and like if you you know, like can you prove to us that like you really are like this really strong couple and you know, at the end people didn't choose money. They chose love, which I thought was awesome and beautiful, and then they still aren't getting money. But like my thought was, I wonder if someone had chosen money, then that would have been the last exercise and test and they would have failed and had to leave with nothing. I don't know if that was true because it never came to fruition, but that was my thought, was, like, you not here for the right reasons, and now you got to go, And I would have liked happened, just in terms of the same. 00:08:35 Speaker 1: I think that would have been insane. 00:08:36 Speaker 2: I don't think anyone would have done it. Like do you think, especially this last cast, choose money. Besides maybe like the Friendship couples. 00:08:46 Speaker 4: I think that oh god, what was his name? Uh? 00:08:52 Speaker 1: Like was it any of the Goldens? 00:08:53 Speaker 4: No? No, well the Golden might have done it. 00:09:00 Speaker 1: She was like, hello, yeah, I. 00:09:02 Speaker 4: Don't know, I listen. I hasn't been done before for sure, Like I don't know if you're a fan of the show the challenge, but like Johnny Bananas did that. He like got to the end of the show and it was like you can split it with your partner or you can take it all, and he took it all and it was fantastic television. Now, was he labeled like the biggest asshole ever after that? Absolutely? But like I thought there was a world in which that could happen. 00:09:27 Speaker 3: That's so interesting. 00:09:28 Speaker 2: I want to ask to you before we get into I mean, we have so many more questions for you. Were there any couples that surprised you or couples that you thought could be good together that maybe never got together. 00:09:43 Speaker 4: I wish that Sam had stuck around longer. What I love about Paradise is it is a redemption story for everyone. Right, Like, generally, if you were like the bad guy, you get to go to Paradise and then you like, it's no fun if like your character arc is always like you're a piece of garbage, right, Like that doesn't make any sense. So for for Sam, I was like, you know, he got so much heat right for like what happened, but like he wasn't wrong, right, Like he might not have been right, but he wasn't wrong about. 00:10:17 Speaker 2: What you're saying that he wished Jen was Maria. 00:10:20 Speaker 4: No, he was saying that Devon was a jag off. 00:10:25 Speaker 5: I thought he said Jen was Maria. 00:10:27 Speaker 1: So there were two things that. 00:10:29 Speaker 4: Were I'm talking about calling out Devon right, so I kind of wonted. I would wish that he that he had stayed longer, but then he ended up finding love. And you know, I'm annoyed because I'm like, what, Sam, we could have done this on the show. 00:10:52 Speaker 1: You know, I was like, this entire couple could have played out and they like they could have been one at the end. Truly. 00:10:58 Speaker 4: Yeah, And if I could have changed some things, I wish Susie got to stick around longer. 00:11:04 Speaker 1: I love Susie. 00:11:06 Speaker 5: Every time. 00:11:07 Speaker 2: I'm like, Susie gets the worst hand every single time, and I feel so. 00:11:11 Speaker 3: Bad for her. 00:11:12 Speaker 4: Right, And I do think that justin he it was he was coming from a good place. I really really, I really wish that I had gotten ten minutes with him before that row ceremony. I really wish I had because I would have been like, you can't do this. You like, it's don't do it, because if she doesn't say that, she doesn't take your rose, you're gonna kill off three big stars in one fell suit, which is what happened. 00:11:40 Speaker 3: That was crazy. 00:11:42 Speaker 5: Were you there when that happened. 00:11:43 Speaker 4: Or I mean no, I was at the I was at the bar obviously that night, and I knew that the thought of he was thinking about that. But you know, this one was this A lot of people might disagree with this, but like, this season was so much more hands off than it has been in the past. In the past, I've been like, please go get him and let me tell him what I think, you know, whereas this one it was just like, if you wanted to come talk to me, you came and talk to me. And I wish that that had gone a little bit different. Now. Did it make for like an insanely fantastic episode three, Sure, but I also kind of wish fireworks between them happened in episode seven. But you can't get everything you want in this life. 00:12:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, Were there any couples like that are still together that are surprising to you? So we have like Andrew and Alex, Jess and Spencer. Who am I missing? 00:12:42 Speaker 3: No more? 00:12:42 Speaker 6: Cat and Dale that I first of all, let me just say I love kat like I love her. 00:12:53 Speaker 4: I want her on my TV screen always. 00:12:56 Speaker 1: No, she's great TV phenomenal, Like. 00:12:59 Speaker 4: She's beautiful, she's uh like built for freaking paradise. But also she keeps going to these places that is full of the one thing that she's terrified of, which is buzz, and it's she thinks that, like just like walking out of the door is fear. She thinks she's on Fear Factor every single day, which just makes for fantastic television. I will say this, and you know, you guys both know that so much good stuff lands on the cutting room floor of seasons, and you know that is also very true for Paradise. The the the alex of it all, like there, her relationship was was so cute, and like they didn't show a whole lot of it. I mean, we've got so much of like the jazz relationship, but I do wish we had gotten more of of Alexon. What's his name, Andrew? And Andrew? Yeah, sorry Andrew. 00:14:09 Speaker 5: He's only been in Paradise twice. 00:14:11 Speaker 4: I know, I've done eight seasons, like a thousand people I have. 00:14:17 Speaker 1: Everyone blends, Wait quickly, what are your thoughts to on? Because I did forget Jeremy and Bailey, like they're so together, and that was a very big I think. 00:14:34 Speaker 4: That was the one couple that I could have seen them take the money and be like like I see, I could have seen Jeremy be like, okay, so here's the deal. For sure, take the money and then I'll just split it with you. 00:14:45 Speaker 1: After this one person, Wells. 00:14:48 Speaker 2: I would have liked to see a conversation with you and him, like when the whole in the room like him talking about what was happening, Like I. 00:14:55 Speaker 1: Was begging for that. I was like, please bring in Wells now because I'm like, you were the only one that all. So it was like I feel like speaking and calling things out like accordingly, It's like that I don't know what was happening with the dynamic of the cast, but I'm like I feel like everyone was a little hesitant to really voice how they genuinely felt about the situation when it's like it's very clear and like, granted we probably don't see the full scope of everything as the audience, but I'm like, there's some there's some truth to this and we're not seeing it all. 00:15:24 Speaker 4: It was really weird. That whole thing was was very very odd to me because it was so very obvious to me, and it was also very obvious to Hannah. She wasn't as vocal about it. I think an interview was or let's be honest, like my interview was just like over the top and was like what's going on? Like this is crazy. Like I remember Andrew and Alex came up to me because because they were like really close with Jeremy and they came up to me and they were like, do you do you think this is going to look bad? And I was like, it's not going to look good. I'll tell you that. Like it from the outside looking in, it looks like you guys don't give a shit about Bailey's feelings. Like that's what it looks like to me. And like in this world of like being a girl's girl and everything, like I think that falls more on you. Like I couldn't understand Andrew like wanting to like back his boy but for the girls. I was just like I don't get this. I think this is going to be a bad look. But yeah, like it was. That was what like of all the wild things that have happened in Paradise, that one to me. I was just like I remember talking to a producer being like, put me in an interview right now, I have to talk about this. 00:16:36 Speaker 1: This is I love that crazy. 00:16:39 Speaker 2: And it was just like crazy because at the time too, we were getting all these interviews from Bailey, and everyone wanted to know, like, oh my gosh, what were you thinking in this moment? But they were together, so it felt like she's always kind of like held back how she felt in that moment. 00:16:51 Speaker 5: So well, craziness. 00:16:54 Speaker 2: Absolutely a great season. Excited to see the next one. And if they implement any of these. 00:16:59 Speaker 4: Changes, yeah, I know, And you can't do the same thing that we did before, right because people kind of know what the playbook is, so then it's going to be a thing of you're probably always going to have to be tinkering with the idea of it. But I tell you what, man, you know I was. I was also very nervous about like what the Goldens were going to be like one because like Rachel, you've you've done that season, Like it's long hours, it's freaking hot, like it's not for the faint of heart. And I was like, someone, I just don't want some Golden to like die on me out here. But I was so wrong about that because they had so much more energy than the Youngs did. Yes when they came in, because it was like it was so when they came in. It was the day after Susie and Justin's debacle and it was like the Red Wedding. Like afterwards, everyone was just like in the worst mood ever. And I'm like, I remember I had to come to work early because they were like, we need you to get them some we need to like eject some life into this thing. Yes, and so I was like we're doing shocks. Everyone like let's go. And then I remember being like, guys, you guys are so boring. We're making a TV show and you guys are all sad, like come on, like let's go. And then the Goldens came in and they were like the life of the party. So I would love them to do just a Golden's paradise. I think that would be so fun. 00:18:25 Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, they should separate. That's I'm so this decision. It was not fair that there were six boys and six girls. 00:18:32 Speaker 4: Yeah, they they didn't get a fair shake of it. I've pitched this before, and so you know, Rob Mills, if you're listening, I have said this so many times before, but like, can we do a paradise for the Goldens? But it needs to be like in Scottsdale or like Palm Springs and like everyone shows up to Rose ceremonies and golf carts and like it's shuffleboard and like dinner happens at FOT Like yeah, through all the people tropes. Uh, it would be so funny. 00:19:05 Speaker 5: Are you and Kathy host it? 00:19:07 Speaker 4: Yeah? 00:19:07 Speaker 1: No, Kathy has to be No, but Kathy has to be in it. Like what do you mean, Yeah, yeah, Kathy has She is one of the main stars, if not the star. 00:19:20 Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, so good. 00:19:22 Speaker 1: I love that. 00:19:23 Speaker 2: Should we get into some Traders? 00:19:25 Speaker 1: I think so, because well, I hate to be a little messy here, but I have to a little bit. You obviously have been on Traders and with the Bachelor World, I feel like there's some conversations and things happening a little bit surrounding Coulton, and I'm curious to know your thoughts on it. What do you feel like is going to happen at the reunion? Are you all like caught up? Obviously? I'm assuming Yes. 00:19:52 Speaker 4: Yes. I do a podcast about Traders called by Order of the Faithfuls that I do with Dolores Catana, who won the season I was on season three, and Timbra Judge who was on season two. So I have to talk about Traders all the time. So if you love Traders, go listen to that podcast. But yeah, Colton, it's not going great. I think. I think that's a fair way of putting it. I've heard rumors of like what happened at the reunion, and I was. 00:20:22 Speaker 2: About to say, Lisa Renna is like airing it out fully, She's. 00:20:25 Speaker 4: Going on so she's going in on him, and yeah, like listen, My thought is this with Colton right, Like so he kind of like left public eye. He kind of he did like one dating show I think with Caitlin, but I don't know if anyone really watched that, so I don't know. Uh, to me, he kind of like left the public right, But like he did have this this turmoil with the girl he left the show with, and you know, it got really messy. And I think if he wants to be in the public eye, he's gonna have to go through this, Like he has to answer for some of these things. He has to atone for a lot of this stuff. And I think that, like, I'm sure for him right now, walking through this is very, very difficult. But I think looking back, he'll probably think it was a blessing because it was. It allows him to finally like kind of wash himself clean of like all that stuff that happened in the past. It's funny though, because Traders, for me, I always thought it was a place where like villains go to be discovered as like not that bad case in point on my season stand of all was there, but maybe the most hated person in the world. He was hilarious and like I think you. 00:21:49 Speaker 2: Guys are saying, I still think about that scene. 00:21:52 Speaker 4: Yeah, and he was. 00:21:57 Speaker 2: Just fully like sweating the entire time, like always like what's going on? 00:22:05 Speaker 4: Yeah, So but like he walked out of that I think, looking so much better, and so I just for sure, yeah, everything, No, but I do think that like he had more of like a redemptive arc, which is kind of what I thought would happen with Colton, but it was gone the other way. So I don't know. I mean, I'm interested to see how uh, I'm interested to see how this reunion goes. Like we had Michael Rappaport on the show. He was like, I don't want to go to the reunion, and I was like, you gotta go one because I just want to see you on TV. But like you got to talk about all of this stuff. You have to probably apologize to Colton for what he said, Like there are things like I think you need to go do, so I'm excited about that. Like Ron Funches is, I think he's going to dismantle some people on that panel in the reunion because Ron was right, Raw was wronged. And Ron is a stand up comedian, like he does roasts and talks shit for a living a living, and now he like he's no longer in the castle. He's going to go in there, and I think he's going to eviscerate everyone, and I'm very excited for it. 00:23:19 Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm curious what your thoughts are, because do you think this season would have panned out differently if this all didn't come to light about Colon. I will say they are like maybe editing it, like now that this information is out. 00:23:34 Speaker 4: I don't know. I gotta think that that they knew that this was a possibility, right, Like they knew. 00:23:43 Speaker 2: Though he had that Netflix special and no one said anything. 00:23:46 Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know if they're editing it, you know now because of everything. He's also off the show now, so like it doesn't exactly really matter, Like I think it'll be really telling to see what happens in this reunion. 00:24:00 Speaker 1: But I feel like, and maybe I'm wrong for saying this, but I think that what just like people ultimately want to see, which is why like Will saying like it's a good thing that he's going through this, and like on the flip side of it, obviously he will probably be a lot more grateful that all this happened the way it did. It doesn't mean that it's not hard, but I think like with Colton, there's like a level of him that almost wants to act like it never happened or just kind of like keep it where it is. And like the big thing that people just ultimately want to see is like accountability and then also less of like a victim complex of like woe is me? 00:24:33 Speaker 4: Like I also was. 00:24:34 Speaker 1: Going through these things, Like two things can exist, but like that still does not you know, entitle you to like, you know, do what happened, especially with you know, his situation with his final one, and so yeah, I don't know, I feel like that's just what people want to see, and the more that it's getting pushed off is what's making this whole a lot deeper. In my opinion. 00:24:57 Speaker 4: I agree. I hope that what he ends up doing, you know, at this reunion is is really like a toning for everything. But I wanted to ask you guys, like I'm a guy, so I looked at it differently. But but I'm sure women have a very very different take of this, like what is like can he ever like look good in your eyes again? Or is it scorched earth for you guys? 00:25:28 Speaker 1: For me again, like my whole thing is like taking accountability when you own your wrongs. I'm like, okay, like I can't. I'm not someone who doesn't extend grace to people like I am all for them. I do think that people are deserving of second chances. But it's like your second chance just doesn't come essentially free, like there is I don't want to say a price that you have to pay, but it's just simply taking accountability. And I don't feel like, you know, I was reading a thing he did, an interview, and like I saw where he like basically said, don't ask me any questions, like this conversation is off limits. 00:26:00 Speaker 3: My head. 00:26:00 Speaker 1: I'm like, that's a part of your story of like how you are where you are at right now. How you got to where you're at, like the life that was before, and I think that there is a full picture of Okay, yeah, what I did there was not good and it's like not who I am now. But to act like, oh, you did nothing wrong like that, that part is where I'm like, I have a problem agreeing with and in my head, I can't really like essentially forgive until that part happens. But I do understand that there's a lot of things and it's a very complex situation, but I'm just not fond of people acting and really screaming and pulling the victim cards. So that's just how I feel. 00:26:36 Speaker 3: Rachel Wana, No, I mean I have so many thoughts on it. 00:26:39 Speaker 2: I mean, I think, number one, this is so hard because Cassie has fully moved on. She's married, like and now this is all coming back to life, and like Charity said, of course, he does need to atone for all of this, but at this point, any atonement that comes is going to be because he needs to like repair his image. Like if we didn't get this in the Netflix special where he was sitting down top talking about his life and being like I did this, like I was going through something it's like, Okay, he was mentally in a really bad space, but now it just feels like he's like, all right, I've gotten away with so much that it's like no one cares anymore. And it really feels like Demi is the one that Demi from his season is the one who kind of brought this all to light, and she's like, no, you will pay for what happened, and she scares me. She brought the house down, she started this. 00:27:30 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, she was so fun to do the show with, but do not be on the wrong side of. 00:27:37 Speaker 1: Truly, which I didn't even know this side of her existed. Like always she was like fun and spunky, but I was like, oh, period, sister is she. 00:27:45 Speaker 5: Said the world. Yeah, it's crazy. 00:27:50 Speaker 3: I don't know. 00:27:50 Speaker 2: It just to me feels like at this point you can apologize, but if, like Charity said, you're saying in interviews, don't bring it up, then you're not. 00:27:58 Speaker 3: Really sorry for it. 00:27:59 Speaker 2: Unless there's a legal reason they can't talk about it, which I. 00:28:01 Speaker 1: Right, and that's yeah, we don't know, but very complex. 00:28:12 Speaker 4: It's gonna be juicy. I mean, we can't talk about traders without talking about Rob though I. 00:28:16 Speaker 3: Was gonna ask your thoughts on Rob. 00:28:18 Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, spill dare I say the best trader that has ever been. 00:28:25 Speaker 1: His play game is insane. 00:28:27 Speaker 4: He is so good, like he's so chill, and he's got everyone digmatized, which is great, like. 00:28:37 Speaker 1: Everyone everyone rael. 00:28:41 Speaker 4: I get it, like look at him. I mean, but like he's playing such a good game, and you know, I think he's he's gonna get Eric killed. 00:28:55 Speaker 2: Oh, Eric already episode the first one, he was like showing signs that he had the crow. 00:29:01 Speaker 5: I think Johnny should have been picked. 00:29:04 Speaker 4: Yeah, would say, okay, so here's I don't know if he's gonna do this, but I was thinking about this, and I was talking about this on my other show that like he's he is killing so many traders right, like he is really helping traders get ousted and then just keeping him in the turret. So he's now having to bring in people and then he's getting them killed, like he's gonna get Eric killed. At some point, someone's gonna come in and be like you, but you voted for Lisa, but you voted for Canada, you voted for Eric. And he could always say because they have no idea, I was recruited yesterday, and if he does that, then it clears him from being someone that the other trader might be like suspicious of. He'd be like, I just got recruited, and if he does that, which will be genius because it's not true. And he continues this thing of like I'm just going to keep moving the chess pieces around and getting every trader out and just keeping me in the turret. I don't know, like yeah, like I said, dare I say the best trader we've ever had. It's such a funny start contrast between season three and season four, because on my season what ended up getting me banished was I said the traders are dumb. That was a dumb move, and people took like an exception to that, but I was right, like they banished Derinda or they killed Derinda, which was just like, for TV's sake, don't do that. But we were all going to banish her the next day. And I was like, that's dumb because we were gonna do the work for them. Go get someone else out that like is more a threat to you than someone that we're probably all going to vote for anyway. So I was like, you guys are dumb. And then they ended up being so dumb. Like I feel like the Traders my season were like I love them all and they're all friends of mine, but like insanely stupid, like making bad moves. Whereas this season, I'm like, oh my god, this this rob guy is He's playing it so well. 00:31:08 Speaker 2: I think their decision to make a twenty year old man a trader like they are the best gas lighters ever. Like, I like this was the best move. No one can look into your eyes and lie like a twenty year old man. 00:31:21 Speaker 4: Yeah he believes that too, No exactly. 00:31:24 Speaker 1: I was like with his looks, he knows what he's doing. 00:31:27 Speaker 3: He knows he knows. Do you think well that? 00:31:31 Speaker 2: I mean, I've seen some people talking on line that maybe his game is getting a little bit messy now though with like so many people knowing about the Dagger, he seems like he's just a little overconfident at this point. 00:31:42 Speaker 4: Yeah. Like in the last episode where he's like lounging in the Billiard's room and Eric's like, how is he doing this? He's got his arms like over his head and he's like lounging with his tank top on. He might be a little too comfortable. Listen, but we're getting down to the nitty gritty it all where it's it has to get messy, right, And so he needs to continue to play a smart game, keep his alliances really really tight, and I think he needs to continue to be picking faithfuls to come into the turret that he can easily vote off. And uh and I think I don't know what happens. I think he's going to win it. I think that, Yeah, I think that like more it would be like Moura and uh more on being like there's no way that Rob's a trader and like won't and we'll think he's faithful and be wrong. 00:32:46 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:32:46 Speaker 3: And I think Natalie the same way. 00:32:48 Speaker 2: They're like in his pocket to a point that like, I think he's just so common he. 00:32:52 Speaker 1: Set it up that way. So listen, what. 00:32:55 Speaker 2: Are your thoughts on there being two Housewives traders? 00:32:59 Speaker 4: I loved it. You know, it was always a theory, at least on my season, and I know on a season passed of like, well, there has to be a housewife in the turret, like and so that's why housewives would always get kind of knocked off because it was one they had so much power in numbers, and that scares people because you can really move around table that way. But also it's just like statistically speaking, and also like if you're a if you have somewhat of a produce sorial mind, it's like, well it's they're like Bravos flagship thing. This is a huge thing for Peacock. We want to make sure that those people get as much screen time as possible vis a vis there in the turret all the time. So that was always the thought of, like, there has to be a there has to be a housewife up there, and there never really was, but I mean there was, but like not like is was this season with with Canvas and Lisa both being up there, and I think that was great because there was all this precedent of like, they're not Alan's never choosing housewives to be up there really and then it was just like those all housewives and then like the Snake Wrangler that like no one knows I. 00:34:13 Speaker 2: Was rooting for them, like I'm like, am I supposed to be rooting for the Traders? 00:34:16 Speaker 3: This hard like anytime they. 00:34:18 Speaker 2: Did something a little bit like that, they could get caught like no, like. 00:34:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the thing, because they played like they did it so good and obviously Rob's like kind of like the leader of that. It makes you want to root for them, which is crazy. Yeah. 00:34:30 Speaker 4: Yeah, So what do you think is gonna happen though? Like I feel like Johnny and Tara are gonna get ousted real quick. 00:34:37 Speaker 2: What were your thoughts on like the best friend like them talking about that? 00:34:41 Speaker 3: Do you think that was a good game move? 00:34:43 Speaker 2: Uh? 00:34:44 Speaker 4: No, I think I think that they should have been honest from the jump because it's so hard. It's they're really long hours. It's hard to like keep up this like we're not really friends thing, and so I think that they should have just been honest from the jump. Rob said it in that interview, like right before the end of the episode. He was like, they've given me gold on a silver platter, Like I now can be like, but you guys have been lying this entire time. That's something a trader would do. Boom. Also, I have two votes, so I'm gonna kill you. You know, Yes, I think what he's gonna do. I think he's gonna use his two votes on killing someone he thinks is a trader m hm, or not think someone he knows is a trader, because then it gives him the like, well, if I'm a trader, why would I get out another trader? You know, like gives him plausible deniability. 00:35:39 Speaker 2: Wait, that's such a good, such a no. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. 00:35:44 Speaker 4: I know this has been the best season thus far. 00:35:47 Speaker 1: It's been an insane season, so good before we like move on from traders, is there anybody that you think or would want to see from Bachelor that you think would do really good on it? Like my votes Jimmy, she would be great, but I don't know she would be a good trader. 00:36:08 Speaker 4: You know. I I think that Jesse would be good. Oh really Yeah, And I've said this before, Like Jesse's he's got that like rain Man quarterback mine where like he's like kind of a genius. Like I've seen him. I've seen him absorb like four pages of copy and hit a mark and do it one time and then be like I got to get out of here. How did you memorize all that? And I'm married to an actress who can do that like on cue. I'm always like super impressed by him. He's also really so that like, to be a good trader, you have to be really smart and you also have to be really likable, and he's both of those things, and he's also used to like really long hours. That the one thing that like we talk about a lot on My Traders podcast is it's it's so much harder for women to be traders than for men. And this might come across as like sexist, but the truth of the matter is is that the time of which we film in Scotland is in the summer, and so the days are really really long, so the night doesn't really happen until like midnight, so you can't go film trader stuff into like two or three, and then your call times are like eight and and you know you have to drive long distancing. 00:37:31 Speaker 5: Hey, this is the story of a bachelorette. 00:37:33 Speaker 1: I was like, well, this sounds very similar. 00:37:39 Speaker 4: But then they have so then they have to get up early because they have to do much, so much more makeup than like something like Rob who like doesn't do anything right, and so like you can never sleep and and so that's a big tell you when you sit in that breakfast room you're looking to see who looks tired, Like, it's a big. 00:37:57 Speaker 2: Do you guys actually eat that many eggs? 00:38:01 Speaker 4: Yeah? Because the food sucks there really so bad. 00:38:05 Speaker 2: Is this salmon like they talked about I was about to ask about the salmon. 00:38:10 Speaker 4: It's like the only thing that is somewhat good. Like it's so much like the Scottish uh Scottish breakfast, which is like beans and like a wet half cooked tomatoes, and like their bacon is like not good at Like it was not not a great breakfast. 00:38:36 Speaker 1: They make it look so good. 00:38:37 Speaker 4: Help well because it's like they're like, oh, that sad. It's like the one thing that like, yeah, is consistently good. 00:38:45 Speaker 3: Wow, oh my gosh. 00:38:47 Speaker 1: All the facts. I'm like, I need it. 00:38:49 Speaker 3: I know, I have so many questions that yeah, okay. 00:38:51 Speaker 2: Last one, last one. Is there anyone on this season that is a faithful that you thought would have made an amazing trader? Because I have a thought, and I don't know if I've right or wrong. 00:39:06 Speaker 4: I mean, I would have liked to see Rapaport as a trader, because I just I don't know how he would have played it. 00:39:12 Speaker 5: He would have gotten voted off so quick. 00:39:18 Speaker 4: Do the thing they did with Donna. I thought that was a bad play and it like just didn't work. I don't know, you tell me what you think, and I'll tell you if I agree with you. 00:39:29 Speaker 2: Okay, I think Mark Ballas would have been the best trader ever. He's so quiet, everyone trusts him, like everyone looks to him. I'm like he would have been like up there with Rob. 00:39:39 Speaker 4: I feel I think that that still might happen. I think that you. 00:39:42 Speaker 5: Think he'll recruit him and then kill him. Oh not Mark. 00:39:47 Speaker 4: I think it's going to be him and Rob at the end. That's what I think is going to happen. 00:39:50 Speaker 5: You don't think he'll bring more up, No. 00:39:53 Speaker 4: Because I think he can manipulate Moura without having her in the tour in the turret. 00:39:59 Speaker 2: I want more to to the end. She's so iconic and her outfits are the best, like like be dressing when she's gone. 00:40:06 Speaker 4: You know, I got to meet her. Sarah hosted this season a couple of seasons of Love Island. So I was in Fiji, and so she would come over and have drinks with us because she was doing like like an after show or the Yeah, and she's awesome and like she's she's coming across as like uh, like ill informed, And that's not what I remember from I remember thinking that she was like really really smart, and so it makes me think that Maura is going to have like a different story arc of like she's going to figure something out and like be a big part of the end, I hope. 00:40:48 Speaker 2: So I've also watched her Love Island season and she's like. 00:40:52 Speaker 5: A savage the way she attacks people. 00:40:54 Speaker 2: Like I just like, we haven't gotten the full extent of Maura, So I hope to see more. 00:40:59 Speaker 3: From her as well. 00:41:00 Speaker 1: Yeah agreed, Okay, And yeah, I'm like, we have to any other thoughts. No, we have to ask about the one and only thing that's coming up, Rachel. Oh my gosh, yes, are you gonna watch Taylor season? 00:41:14 Speaker 4: Absolutely? I I guess I can. I'll give this tease. You know, they've finished, they've since wrapped the show, But when they were filming, I was in contact with Jesse a lot because our teams are like playing each other in football and he was like calling games from like the college I went to, and so I was just in contact with him a lot, and I asked him. I was like, how's it going, Like what's going on? He was like, dude, It's going to be so good. And he was like, and the guys we've got are going to be so good for Paradise, and. 00:41:49 Speaker 1: I was like, yes, oh, I'm so ready. 00:41:52 Speaker 2: Jesse too, I feel I feel like he has been like, yeah, it was okay, I've heard that we. 00:41:58 Speaker 1: Got a good love story. That's it. Wow. 00:42:03 Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on Taylor Wells just before we wrap? 00:42:07 Speaker 4: I think it's a good idea obviously, you know, it makes sense in the Hulu world with you know, their show and ABC and Disney and all that stuff. I think that you guys know, right, like it takes a special type of person to be the lead, and when you watch the show, you know, like let's say, you know, like for the I always said that, like going on the Bachelorette was just like one long audition to see who could be the Bachelor, because they want to see, like who can actually talk to these people, can be good on camera, can be good in all this stuff that you need to do and listen. She's obviously very good at that because she is the star of her own show. So in that respect, she's going to be a phenomenal lead. Obviously, she comes with a little bit of baggage too, right, So like that's something that she's gonna have to talk about and explain, which I think will make for enticing television. But I've always said this, you know when it's no offense to batch the rets. But like the show you you guys are the lead, but the stars are is the cast, and you're just facilitating an opportunity for the cast to make good television. And I think that she will do a very good job of helping these guys make amazing television, which is what I'm very excited about. 00:43:41 Speaker 1: I agree. 00:43:43 Speaker 5: Thank you, well Wells. Thank you so much for being unhappy hour with us. 00:43:48 Speaker 3: This has been so fun. 00:43:51 Speaker 4: Thanks for having me, guys. I wish we were in person, and I know fat glass of champagne. 00:44:00 Speaker 1: Say the next time I stay so I need a drink ready to go? 00:44:06 Speaker 2: Okay, anything else you want to plug at the n Wells. Listen to his podcast, watch his golf show, do all the things? 00:44:13 Speaker 5: Follow him on social media. 00:44:15 Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna use this opportunity to tell your fans out there. If you're in New York, you should go see my wife's new show on Broadway called justin Time. She plays Connie Francis. It's the life story of Bobby Darren and it's portrayed by Jonathan Groff, who is like the King in Hamilton or he's in Frozen or Mine Hunter, and he's absolutely lovely. He is, I mean, he's one of the I think he's like one of the best things about Broadway right now. And he makes out with my wife eight times a week, which I'm totally fine with. But the show is really really good, and I would if you want to go see a very fun show, go see justin Time on Broadway. And Sarah's run is limited, so I would do it in the next month or so before she and Jonathan might no longer be doing it. 00:45:11 Speaker 1: I love that, adding that to my list. 00:45:13 Speaker 5: Yes, everyone, go see Just in Time. 00:45:15 Speaker 2: Support Sarah amazing. Well, thank you for being here, and thank you everyone for listening. 00:45:21 Speaker 4: Thank you guys. 00:45:22 Speaker 3: Bye.
