<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, It's Tuesday, December twenty third. <v Speaker 2>It's day one of the Game Out of your podcast. <v Speaker 2>Here joined bomb dot Com. I'm your host Jana Chu <v Speaker 2>joining me as always co captain of the ship. Chuff grug. Well, <v Speaker 2>let's declare some games of the year. That's right, Jeff Beckler, <v Speaker 2>you were kindly presenting a cup in front of you, <v Speaker 2>the master of cups. <v Speaker 3>Jeff Beckler, I am the master of cups that they <v Speaker 3>always be filled and hardy speaking. <v Speaker 2>Not gonna go with that that I was gonna say. <v Speaker 2>But you didn't get dinged in the nuts. You almost <v Speaker 2>did after last week's BombCast, but we all avoided, we <v Speaker 2>all helped it so it would not have happened. Dan Reikert, I. <v Speaker 4>Bet I've been hitting the nuts more than anyone in <v Speaker 4>this room a lot. <v Speaker 2>Is that just like a kick? Now? <v Speaker 4>The accidental stuff, Well, there were a lot of things <v Speaker 4>in college where it's like, okay, well I gotta get <v Speaker 4>you back, so I'm gonna kick you in the nuts. <v Speaker 4>And there's a lot of that stuff, yeah, right, all right, <v Speaker 4>but mostly just like falling when I'm trying to get <v Speaker 4>out a shopping carts while I'm drunk and I fall in. <v Speaker 4>It hits me in the corner getting racked. <v Speaker 2>Ye, speaking about racks, we got the tallest man that <v Speaker 2>he can reach on the top shelf for me if <v Speaker 2>I need something up. <v Speaker 5>There, Turbo Sean Sean McDow. Well, that was a hard <v Speaker 5>one to follow up, Dan, you really threw me a <v Speaker 5>curveball though. <v Speaker 2>That's right. I'm throwing curveballs all over the place today. <v Speaker 2>Speaking about balls, Yeah, what about them? Chuck is also <v Speaker 2>here joining us. Balls that gave me your podcast, Chuck <v Speaker 2>Yong start, how's it going? <v Speaker 6>Yeah, it goes so great. I do have balls, in fact, <v Speaker 6>both of them. I wasn't making any assumptions. My father <v Speaker 6>in law gout of a sectomy at doctor Dick chops <v Speaker 6>off us. That's a real wow. No, shoot, yes, it's real. <v Speaker 6>And he's retiring this year. I believe that he's nationally famous. <v Speaker 6>You can look the most successful visect me doctor ever. <v Speaker 6>He had the best marketing. Probably that. <v Speaker 2>Was That was the joke I was making, is that <v Speaker 2>you lose your balls, but you don't. Yeah. To be clear, <v Speaker 2>we had to explain this to you. <v Speaker 4>I know, I'm still confused a little bit about no <v Speaker 4>about like pats like neuteringtulf because the cartoons its alway <v Speaker 4>chasing on my scissors, and I go, you got the <v Speaker 4>dog's dick off. <v Speaker 5>But I hope doctor Dick Chopp can explain it to you. <v Speaker 5>Speaking about doctors, his father is one. We got the <v Speaker 5>bad boy of games media. <v Speaker 2>So cold still you've been inside for four hours, it's <v Speaker 2>a week. Just keep miss hearing. I'm not cold. I said, <v Speaker 2>I was so cold, right, has only been in. <v Speaker 7>Like eighty degree weathers entirely? He's not that It's terrible. <v Speaker 7>Why do you live like this? <v Speaker 2>It's so inside? I have to ask Chuck a very <v Speaker 2>earnest question this morning at the Airbnb because I was <v Speaker 2>very confused as the why parts of the sidewalk were <v Speaker 2>clean and dry versus other parts. Yeah, and then like <v Speaker 2>what do dogs do? It's like there's a. <v Speaker 4>Lot of people will put the little like bootsies on <v Speaker 4>the pads, especially if there's like salt for like salting <v Speaker 4>the driveways and stuff back and hurt their paws. <v Speaker 2>You guys season the snow. <v Speaker 7>Yeah, yeah, salt trucks. <v Speaker 4>You know the concept of salt truck. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you've really never heard of this? <v Speaker 4>Delicious No, it's like whenever it snows they send out <v Speaker 4>like like Minnesota, they have tons of these. As soon <v Speaker 4>as it starts snowing, the salt trucks come out and <v Speaker 4>they just like kind of because that way, and they <v Speaker 4>dump salt behind them in the salt salt. <v Speaker 2>Water so the ice can't freeze specifically, just like loose <v Speaker 2>salt literally, And. <v Speaker 5>The truck has a little machine on the back that <v Speaker 5>like gradually like spins it out as the truck. <v Speaker 8>The best part is then when it's springtime, everybody takes <v Speaker 8>extra salt. We get some some hams and we cure <v Speaker 8>a bunch of meat, so then you're good for for Easter. <v Speaker 2>That one don't believe in ghost of that's not all right, <v Speaker 2>all right, thank you for not leaving the shoes a stray. <v Speaker 1>We also got Will Crosby running the ones in two <v Speaker 1>shots out so. <v Speaker 2>Well, it's called the Midwest ham On. That's what it's called. <v Speaker 2>I think you're sorting to pull my leg here, but anyway, <v Speaker 2>we got a bunch of fan fun categories here for <v Speaker 2>day one. <v Speaker 8>Absolutely no fan categories. We don't want your idea, you <v Speaker 8>don't want your official submissions. We're not going to make <v Speaker 8>a robot. Shall we get to the first category. Okay, yes, <v Speaker 8>all rights. <v Speaker 2>First category is the oh that feels good. <v Speaker 9>That feels good. <v Speaker 2>You can interpret that however you want. <v Speaker 7>First one is jumping on viola in Metric Prime four, <v Speaker 7>linking dashes together in Sectory, chain assassinations, and Ghost of Yo. <v Speaker 4>Take one because we had another one later. It's more specific, Okay, okay, Tho's. <v Speaker 2>Got that stomping in Skate Story, chunk jumping in Donkey <v Speaker 2>Kong Bananza, snapping into place in Lego Voyagers, attaching joy <v Speaker 2>cons with magnet Oh yeah, pairing in Expedition thirty three, <v Speaker 2>doing nine billion worth of damage in Expedition thirty three, <v Speaker 2>dive bombing in Bonanza. <v Speaker 1>Rick's also been ability in Kirby Air Riders, crying and <v Speaker 1>and Roger staying in the air with a dude then <v Speaker 1>dunking him in Shnoby Yeah, controlling two hype beams in <v Speaker 1>hyper beams in Hyro Warrior Rape Medea's aspect Haitis two <v Speaker 1>switched Zeltic Games. <v Speaker 2>It's sixty fps on switch to dive kicking an enemy <v Speaker 2>and then doing that spinning and attack thing in Shenoby, <v Speaker 2>talking your way out of a fight in Arc Raiders, <v Speaker 2>grinding down a water slide in Tony ookspar skater three <v Speaker 2>plus four getting a star in two point museum grubs. <v Speaker 4>We add chaining strikes in sectory. <v Speaker 2>That's already in. There is desks together in that's exactly there. <v Speaker 9>Yeah, number two to being fair, it was a long <v Speaker 9>time ago. <v Speaker 2>Probably out loud. I really concerned about telling him to <v Speaker 2>not do the shoby thing. Yeah there, this one's good. <v Speaker 3>There's only about twenty eight nominations. This one's good. <v Speaker 2>Read more. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, let's gonna get an even third. <v Speaker 2>Chunk jumping in this for Donkey Kong saying yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>what it's down there and dive bombing. Should there be <v Speaker 2>a separate into saying chunk jump? That's a good point. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>just quotations chunk jumpy. I think it's part of it. <v Speaker 8>Everything to do with you get to say it every <v Speaker 8>time you do it, everything, whenever you want to jump. <v Speaker 9>There's no law against saying it. Whatever. <v Speaker 8>Maybe we should look dive bombing or chunk jumping. I <v Speaker 8>think we catch those right now. <v Speaker 9>Your right, Like aspect of DK diving from the sky <v Speaker 9>is super fun and feels super good. I'll go with <v Speaker 9>chunk jumping this way. <v Speaker 2>Okay, okay, okay, all right, I'm gonna cross out dive bombing. Okay, yeah. <v Speaker 8>While we're doing two for Perry and Expision thirty three <v Speaker 8>are doing the nine billion. <v Speaker 2>Different, Yes, very different, but maybe the best Perry I've <v Speaker 2>ever felt in a game. The first jump Perry, I think, I. <v Speaker 8>Yeah, right, god, it's just like again, SEC also has <v Speaker 8>a jump Harry. <v Speaker 2>It's a very it's a similar kind of feel. Do <v Speaker 2>you think we could all group Perry together? Yes, the <v Speaker 2>first time which came there. <v Speaker 1>Was like a time that is like this, that is <v Speaker 1>r on five and. <v Speaker 4>Let's kind of one of the Schnoby ones. So they're <v Speaker 4>staying in the air with the dude, then dunking him <v Speaker 4>in Shnoby and then dive kicking the enemy and then <v Speaker 4>doing that spinning attack. <v Speaker 2>Thing you're talking. Did you who added that second one? <v Speaker 9>You did the second So so that's when you do <v Speaker 9>the dive kick and then you hold why right after <v Speaker 9>that and he does the spin attack. Not only does <v Speaker 9>he do the spin attack, every single one of the <v Speaker 9>spins adds to your hit counter. If you go into <v Speaker 9>any encounter, you're like, I need to get a fifteen <v Speaker 9>combo so I can unlock that more more damage with <v Speaker 9>that one combo amulet just get a really. <v Speaker 2>Good head start, and also it feels so good. It's <v Speaker 2>just I love that. <v Speaker 8>Now, when we say finishing a fight, do we mean <v Speaker 8>doing that like L and R thing where you like <v Speaker 8>dash to every enemy who. <v Speaker 2>Has the thing. Yeah, we already did. Yeah, okay, that's fine. <v Speaker 5>Then the other one is the staying in the air, <v Speaker 5>So I like that because you're talking about one that <v Speaker 5>is more like, you know, getting the combo counter higher <v Speaker 5>and higher and sort of maybe a little more automative thing. <v Speaker 5>I'm talking about just the concept of doing an air combo, <v Speaker 5>like it's Marvel versus capcom or Devil May Cry. <v Speaker 9>Yeah, turn these into air combos, so maybe they are kind. <v Speaker 5>Of s Yeah, just the concept of being able to <v Speaker 5>stay in the air and gives you multiple ways to <v Speaker 5>go through an enemy to like extend the combo warzon <v Speaker 5>ly then vertically, and you can stack these layers. I think, <v Speaker 5>like specifically, why I'm getting at is the fact that <v Speaker 5>so many moves in Shnoby are different, and that's why <v Speaker 5>I think it's a great action game. Nothing feels quite <v Speaker 5>the same when you unlock a bunch of moves, and <v Speaker 5>I just like being able to chain all those things <v Speaker 5>together and then at the very end use your heavy <v Speaker 5>move to slam the dude into a pit. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, off the plane. You don't matter. I don't even <v Speaker 2>want to kill you. You're going into the pit. Yeah <v Speaker 2>I did that a lot. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean, can we just consolidate them into like <v Speaker 4>doing a sweet combo and yeah, I met a combo. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I think it's covered. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, all right, all right, I'll just change this to <v Speaker 1>sweet air combo in Shnoby. <v Speaker 9>Yeah that works. <v Speaker 2>Now. <v Speaker 4>I want to check because the text there on the <v Speaker 4>screen says the oh that feels cool award, Jen you <v Speaker 4>said good, So I just want to make sure we <v Speaker 4>know the criteria. Does this feel cool or feel good? <v Speaker 2>I love crying. <v Speaker 7>I'm about to actually cry now because of my moistreizers <v Speaker 7>getting in my eyes. I don't think it feels cool <v Speaker 7>in and Roger the way that they make you cry. <v Speaker 2>So we can cut that, okay. <v Speaker 8>I'm curious about Shane Assassinations and Ghost of Yota. I <v Speaker 8>didn't get to play that game, but I mean, is <v Speaker 8>it like feel much better different than say an assassin's creed. <v Speaker 4>That's the thing. It's like, it's not a new concept. <v Speaker 4>I think it's my favorite one of these where it's <v Speaker 4>like you'll be on a rooftop and you'll see three <v Speaker 4>goobers down there by a fire or something, and you <v Speaker 4>look and you like, hit triangle or you knew the <v Speaker 4>sweet thing where you jump and then hit triang limit <v Speaker 4>air kill one of them, and it does the slowdown <v Speaker 4>and pan the camera to the next guy, and it's like, <v Speaker 4>oh shit, I can hit triangle again. Oh shit, I <v Speaker 4>can hit triangle again. It's like boom boo, boom boom, <v Speaker 4>three different animations. It's just incredibly satisfying. But it's not new. <v Speaker 4>We've seen games do this before. <v Speaker 2>I think there are other things we can cut before <v Speaker 2>that in spirit of the category of oh that feels cool. Cool, No, <v Speaker 2>it's cool. I like Rick's Ultimate Ability and Kirby Air Riders, <v Speaker 2>but much like everything else in the game, you're just <v Speaker 2>kind of going and you can't really control it. It <v Speaker 2>doesn't necessarily feel good. It's cool, but then it's I <v Speaker 2>it's so unpredictable. I remember seeing a clip of someone saying, oh, <v Speaker 2>look what I just did to him, and he did <v Speaker 2>Rick's Ultimate Nobility. I watched the clip several times. I <v Speaker 2>don't know what he did. Yeah, cut that we we <v Speaker 2>all know. <v Speaker 5>But if anyone doesn't know, like that's when he gets <v Speaker 5>off and runs or. <v Speaker 9>Has just runs called and he came out in the <v Speaker 9>nineteen nineties. <v Speaker 2>Yeah boy, Yeah. <v Speaker 9>It's so old anyway, the hamster gets off the board <v Speaker 9>and starts running very. <v Speaker 2>Fast, and it's cool. Okay, any any other cuts or <v Speaker 2>things that we feel we got a question? Right? <v Speaker 9>I mean, I do think that when I played those <v Speaker 9>all the games of sixty frans per second on switch too, <v Speaker 9>I was just like. <v Speaker 2>That feels cool. It did. I like it a lot. <v Speaker 9>But there's a lot of heavy hitters in this category. <v Speaker 4>All right, who's gonna keep getting a star in two <v Speaker 4>point museum on there? <v Speaker 1>All right? <v Speaker 8>Just want to get it and feel really good though, <v Speaker 8>because then you like, they are your objectives that you <v Speaker 8>get to go to a different museum and get a <v Speaker 8>star there. And it's just a really good progression system. <v Speaker 8>And also like changes the map up a little bit, <v Speaker 8>things are unlocking. It's just progression though. It's just a <v Speaker 8>very well done one. It was just you know, a <v Speaker 8>dope and mean thing. <v Speaker 2>I got a star, Mike, you really did the voice? <v Speaker 2>Do you really like two point museum more than any <v Speaker 2>of the other games, or just like a fairly you <v Speaker 2>mean the other two points. Yeah, I haven't played the <v Speaker 2>other two the hospital, the school, but I don't want <v Speaker 2>to run a hospital. People die there, want to people. <v Speaker 2>A guy in that game Big I love because. <v Speaker 9>He thinks, like where else would I rather be? Because <v Speaker 9>he's always worried about things going wrong? <v Speaker 4>Well, no, it's like if something were to go wrong <v Speaker 4>or something. <v Speaker 2>Like, that's the thought if someone has if they're always <v Speaker 2>worried something's going to go wrong. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, people with anxiety, you're just like, oh yeah, be <v Speaker 4>in the hospital. <v Speaker 2>Sound the outbreak. <v Speaker 3>You want to be at the hospital. <v Speaker 2>Most situations, I want to be at hospital. All right. <v Speaker 2>I've highlighted grinding down a water slide in Tunyaks pretty <v Speaker 2>skater three four. I mean thinking feels cool and talk Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, plus Jan, we know what the bigger cooler skating <v Speaker 3>thing is, Yeah, stopping and skate story. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 9>Can I throw one up for maybe boulding as a potential, <v Speaker 9>Like we should definitely be talking about this when we're <v Speaker 9>done talking your way out of a fight in our grads. <v Speaker 9>That is, it's a new thing in a lot of ways. <v Speaker 9>It's something like other games of like gestured at, or <v Speaker 9>they've had like smaller examples of like social engineering or <v Speaker 9>working with your friends put in you in a situation <v Speaker 9>where everyone understands the stakes and everyone has a voice <v Speaker 9>and could speak to one another, and most people are like, <v Speaker 9>it's gonna be chill, So that when you get in <v Speaker 9>a situation where you're when you're with someone like Kayla, <v Speaker 9>it's like, I'm just going to disrupt the social order <v Speaker 9>here and we'll see what happens. The fact that that's <v Speaker 9>like we began realize, like this has implications on how <v Speaker 9>we're gonna play if we just let her go. Everyone <v Speaker 9>else is getting scared because they haven't encountered anyone like that, <v Speaker 9>And it was just like this this like, oh that's cool. <v Speaker 4>I have never seen something like that happen in a <v Speaker 4>video game. Yes, yes, exactly. <v Speaker 9>And I mean I guess maybe we could sider that <v Speaker 9>her best moment or sequence somewhere doing later, but I <v Speaker 9>don't know. <v Speaker 2>It feels good for this category. I think it feels <v Speaker 2>good for this category because it's an option I can <v Speaker 2>and how I approach this game in the future, right, <v Speaker 2>just have Kla with me exactly. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, she's going to full frontal your ass. She's gonna <v Speaker 6>be your step mom, step mom. These could all be <v Speaker 6>just like single day shirts. No, she screamed that at <v Speaker 6>people until they ran away. Yeah, me and trying to <v Speaker 6>like diffuse the situation, and she is just. <v Speaker 2>Be rady helped because we both seemed scared of her. Sorry, sorry, <v Speaker 2>we can't control. I could see it in like the <v Speaker 2>pimp my ride font to. <v Speaker 9>Step mom, step mom. <v Speaker 2>Uh, we all have the switch to is it really <v Speaker 2>that fun? To last night? <v Speaker 4>Late last night, I was just for fun, just. <v Speaker 2>Clicking the clicking off, and that's why the plane got delayed. <v Speaker 2>It was a problem. <v Speaker 5>Anytime I need to attach her detach, I always do <v Speaker 5>it like one or two more times because it does. <v Speaker 8>That's how awful it felt taking the old like you <v Speaker 8>were breaking up piece. <v Speaker 5>But the first couple of times it's like, oh, it <v Speaker 5>does like slide on their NICs. But by the end <v Speaker 5>of the switch one's life, it's like, oh, this is ricked. <v Speaker 4>This have to look for a little plus or minus. <v Speaker 4>You can barely see snaps right there, and then like <v Speaker 4>the little colors come into the screen too, like the blue. <v Speaker 4>We can keep it for now. We also have a <v Speaker 4>hardware based one. <v Speaker 9>Yeah, we'll come back. <v Speaker 6>I'm gonna say both the things about the switch to <v Speaker 6>one here are on here because of the failures of <v Speaker 6>the switch one. <v Speaker 9>They're good, I know, but like I think there's it's <v Speaker 9>worth just saying, like in the moment where when you <v Speaker 9>say your stuff, Oh that feels cool, nothing else matters, <v Speaker 9>all the caveats, all the like a why do I <v Speaker 9>feel this way? That doesn't matter. Does it feel cool <v Speaker 9>or not? <v Speaker 2>I haven't played High Warriors, how cool? There's too hyper beams? <v Speaker 5>Okay, it is hype beams, just the maximilian hype beams. <v Speaker 5>Know what happens is like there's team up supers in <v Speaker 5>the game, and sometimes they'll be generic. One person does <v Speaker 5>their super, then the our person does their super. But <v Speaker 5>there are very specific ones if it's a specific team up, <v Speaker 5>so like Zelda and Rhu, you know, like they have <v Speaker 5>a link together there so they get to make it. <v Speaker 5>They have a custom one where like they both have <v Speaker 5>like the light power and so they both get these <v Speaker 5>gigantic like proton canon lasers and you control they stay <v Speaker 5>stationary using the two analog stics. You control the beams independently, <v Speaker 5>like mowing down. <v Speaker 2>That's a great thing. Yeah, you can choose. <v Speaker 5>You can like mow down the book coblins over here <v Speaker 5>and then focus one on the boss. <v Speaker 2>Both of them just do do double damage to the boss. <v Speaker 5>You get to choose, and they're very cinematics. <v Speaker 2>That sounds pretty cool. It's pretty sick. <v Speaker 5>I know that's kind of like a me thing and <v Speaker 5>grubs play two, So like if the group's not really <v Speaker 5>feeling that, I get that, but I do think it <v Speaker 5>feels really cool. <v Speaker 2>I think snapping into place and Lego Voyagers is cool. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>but we've had it before, yeah, compared to everything else here. <v Speaker 2>Also not the best Lego game this year. Correct, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>so I'm fine cutting that all right. <v Speaker 8>Tell me about this stomping and skate story, because Ton <v Speaker 8>has had stomping before. <v Speaker 2>Just mean, like, I kind of oh, I think. <v Speaker 3>The stomping is very cool in skate. Sorry for a <v Speaker 3>couple reasons, Mike. <v Speaker 2>If you must ask, I do I must. Uh. <v Speaker 3>First off, the cool thing there is a bit of <v Speaker 3>like a banking moment with the stomping, where you can <v Speaker 3>basically cash in the points that you've accrued in a <v Speaker 3>stomping gesture. So you're like, oh, I chained together these <v Speaker 3>amount of tricks, the stomp allows you to cash them in. <v Speaker 2>It's the period and yeah, not to mention. <v Speaker 3>It is how you fight every boss in the entire game. <v Speaker 2>Yes, what if? What if I told you you had <v Speaker 2>to do a gigantic combo with kick flips, heel flip flips, <v Speaker 2>pop shovetz to kill the moon, and then to do <v Speaker 2>it you have to stomp to punctuate your trick sequence. <v Speaker 2>I do hate the moon. It sounds like a sower's <v Speaker 2>wrath skateboarding, you know, kind Yeah, yeah, sounds fun. Okay, okay, something. <v Speaker 3>Feel and it feels cool. Yeah, it is not good. <v Speaker 3>It feels cool, you know. <v Speaker 2>I think it's I don't. <v Speaker 3>I don't think it's like the the absolute best part <v Speaker 3>of skates Story, but it is one crucial element to it. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>and that is certainly a game that is the some <v Speaker 3>of all of its parts are impressive. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I feel like we could cut it, but let's <v Speaker 2>continue going down the list. We haven't talked about jumping <v Speaker 2>on Viola in Metric Prime for yeah cool, it's just <v Speaker 2>the animation so cool. <v Speaker 4>She just jumps really far in the air and it <v Speaker 4>does the thing where it's like, you know, You're not <v Speaker 4>like whistling for it like a horse. It just like <v Speaker 4>comes up underneath her. You lamp perfectly on it. And <v Speaker 4>then there were times where it's like I would jump <v Speaker 4>off like a twenty foot cliff to go down to <v Speaker 4>another area, and I wonder if I could do this <v Speaker 4>in mid air, and I would hit it in the <v Speaker 4>animation like a motorcycle in midair landing, Oh, I'm going <v Speaker 4>to morphball off this cliff and then I'm going to <v Speaker 4>hit the button. Oh I'm from a morphball jumping onto <v Speaker 4>this motorcycle just very very cool. <v Speaker 9>It feels very similar to like getting on Torrent. So <v Speaker 9>maybe like we like we've had something similar to this before, <v Speaker 9>but it. <v Speaker 2>Is like motorcycle's way cooler and it's more weird. Horse <v Speaker 2>usually like that. It always looks right. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, And I will say as the other like Metro <v Speaker 5>Prime for fan in the room that like it is. <v Speaker 5>I think it's very cool the first few times because <v Speaker 5>the coolest person ever is doing the coolest thing imaginable. <v Speaker 5>But I feel like after a certain point it kind <v Speaker 5>of just does become blended in with the gameplay to <v Speaker 5>the point that you don't notice it and you don't <v Speaker 5>necessarily think, oh this is cool, you know, like ten <v Speaker 5>to fifteen hours in the way some of these things <v Speaker 5>stay cool over time. <v Speaker 2>I think that's fair. Yeah. Can someone remind me what <v Speaker 2>media's aspect is? <v Speaker 6>Yes, So this is one of my children on this list. <v Speaker 6>You use your normal attack right and with U. So <v Speaker 6>this is an aspect of the argent skull. Right, and <v Speaker 6>here's two. With the skull, you are often flinging it, <v Speaker 6>firing it. Medea's aspect lets you hit your normal attack <v Speaker 6>and it places the attack in place and it'll stay <v Speaker 6>there for a while. Then when you hit the special however, <v Speaker 6>many of your normal attacks you up sitting there. It'll <v Speaker 6>explode them. Oh and so you combine this with different <v Speaker 6>boons and maybe like crit effects and stuff like that, <v Speaker 6>and you can end up one shotting bosses, which a <v Speaker 6>couple of mine on this list are about being able <v Speaker 6>to one shot bosses. <v Speaker 2>What do you try and say? What's wrong? I like, <v Speaker 2>I like killing bosses. <v Speaker 6>Ohring to you yourselves as my boss that on his friends. <v Speaker 6>I would never take you guys out to pasture. <v Speaker 9>No thanks? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay? <v Speaker 6>Instead of cutting, is there another one? Well, I was <v Speaker 6>going to say, you can cut Media's aspect. I don't <v Speaker 6>think it had the excitement in the group, but I <v Speaker 6>really like it. <v Speaker 2>It was not my favorite weapon. <v Speaker 9>So I've already asked a bold one, So I'm just <v Speaker 9>gonna throw my other one out there that I am <v Speaker 9>attached to, and realizing that we're probably have to cut <v Speaker 9>one or the other, linking dashes together and sectory. Yeah, <v Speaker 9>so this is a game that's geometry Wars. I think <v Speaker 9>most people understand what that is. It's a dual stick <v Speaker 9>shooter with a ton of enemies on screen, and your <v Speaker 9>main way of dealing with these enemies is hitting the <v Speaker 9>rights analyg stick in the direction you want to shoot, <v Speaker 9>and you get pretty good at mowing a path, plowing <v Speaker 9>the field and being like I need to get over there. <v Speaker 9>There's a ton of stuff, but I know if I <v Speaker 9>kind of like just wiggle the stick as I'm going <v Speaker 9>a little bit, it's going to give me enough room <v Speaker 9>to maneuver. But there gets a point where it's like <v Speaker 9>that gets really challenging and if you are just relying <v Speaker 9>on shooting your weapon, you're probably gonna get overwhelmed. So <v Speaker 9>they give you this other thing where it's these dashes, <v Speaker 9>and the way that they make this system work that <v Speaker 9>is very different than just like this is another attack. <v Speaker 9>Is there are pickups in the game of variety pickups <v Speaker 9>or maybe just like little tokens tokens and explosion spots <v Speaker 9>stuff like that, and if you dash into one of those, <v Speaker 9>you immediately get your dash back instead of having to <v Speaker 9>deal with the cool down. <v Speaker 4>And it clears the enemies rudy, so it's like offense <v Speaker 4>and descense. <v Speaker 2>So it explodes everything. <v Speaker 9>Yeah, it gets you out of danger, and then it <v Speaker 9>has an explosion around it, and you can amplify that explosion. <v Speaker 9>If you go into one of these tokens. You get <v Speaker 9>to a point where it's like, Okay, I'm going to <v Speaker 9>upgrade my dash so that I have more more distance, <v Speaker 9>more damage done. It's faster and it has like a <v Speaker 9>shorter cool down, and you start getting to a point <v Speaker 9>where it's like, okay, I am going to dash into <v Speaker 9>this one thing on this one side of the map <v Speaker 9>because I'm just I'm in terror. I'm going to get overwhelmed. <v Speaker 9>And then you immediately realize it's like if I start <v Speaker 9>chaining myself around this map, I can go into this <v Speaker 9>next token or go into a jump pad, which is <v Speaker 9>like a teleport thing, and that'll take you to the <v Speaker 9>other side of the map. There'll be another teleport thing <v Speaker 9>dash into that, let them cool down and try to <v Speaker 9>survive long enough so that your dash sort of multiplier <v Speaker 9>doesn't cool off. And it just becomes this ascendant moment <v Speaker 9>where you're just like, oh, I am seeing through the code. <v Speaker 9>I'm not even thinking anymore. I'm just reacting. But I'm <v Speaker 9>far ahead of like where the game thought I would be. <v Speaker 9>I am now. <v Speaker 2>Actually like super powerful. And you feel that in this <v Speaker 2>moment when you begin getting like these ten to fifteen <v Speaker 2>dashes all linked together. <v Speaker 4>The thing is, though, it's like a lot of the <v Speaker 4>use on this list are things that like you do <v Speaker 4>and you kind of get a beat afterwards to be <v Speaker 4>like like the Shnoby thing or the thing where it's like, ooh, <v Speaker 4>that was awesome what I just did, And I feel <v Speaker 4>like because of Secretary just doing this, it's yeah, that's <v Speaker 4>the word unrelenting. It's like I don't even get a moment. <v Speaker 4>I could change four or five dashes together and get <v Speaker 4>myself out of trouble, but it's like I immediately I <v Speaker 4>don't even get a chance to celebrate my h No, <v Speaker 4>It's just like I'm immediately trying to survive. <v Speaker 9>I think you're probably right, which is like, I think <v Speaker 9>this game is going to come up again for a <v Speaker 9>best moment or sequence, and I think it'll be fit <v Speaker 9>better in that category something along these lines. So yeah, <v Speaker 9>we can cut that one. <v Speaker 8>Okay, maybe Zoto Games and sixty fps does have to go. <v Speaker 2>I do like it. It does so cool, but it's <v Speaker 2>a little bit. <v Speaker 8>It's not that being different is bad than everything else here, <v Speaker 8>but that also after a while you do accept it, like, yeah, <v Speaker 8>this is what this game looks like. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, like you could almost make the argument that, like, <v Speaker 5>in a different world, this is what they should have <v Speaker 5>been to begin with, at least an option. <v Speaker 2>Sure. Yeah, can we talk about Exhibition thirty three two <v Speaker 2>of those? Yeah? <v Speaker 9>Yeah, you could cross the Metroid Prime for one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Sure, So I put on the I thought I <v Speaker 2>think that's fair. Okay, I hope we agreed on that. <v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, yeah, oh okay, get it out of here. <v Speaker 2>I'll keep chuck what you're saying. <v Speaker 6>I put the nine billion, nine hundred ninety nine thousand, <v Speaker 6>or right, nine hundred ninetyne million, ninety ninetynine damage on here. <v Speaker 2>What was that? <v Speaker 6>Just kick and it's really fun. You get this picto <v Speaker 6>pictose where you can just like uncap your damage. If <v Speaker 6>you're playing someone like Mael, you can start doing all <v Speaker 6>these crypt moves. Then you can use your other party <v Speaker 6>members to buff you so you do even more damage. <v Speaker 6>And it's just stacking and stacking and stacking stacking, so <v Speaker 6>you can one shop bosses, which I really enjoy. I <v Speaker 6>think we can remove it. It's more of like a <v Speaker 6>math nerd enjoyment moment. It's an RPG nerd moment. It <v Speaker 6>really is, yes, and that's me sure. <v Speaker 8>It has roots in like like FOMP Fantasy ten, Like <v Speaker 8>eventually you can get weapons that like unlock the damage <v Speaker 8>cap in that game, so like going Above nine thousand, <v Speaker 8>nine ninety nine. <v Speaker 2>Whoa. <v Speaker 8>It's a cool thing that these kind of gets it <v Speaker 8>done before, and it always is like a big wow moment, <v Speaker 8>especially here because you think you beat the game and <v Speaker 8>then you unlock this ability. <v Speaker 2>Hey, that game was made by people that really like RPG. <v Speaker 4>Fans time specifically, I think we can cut chain assassinations. <v Speaker 2>It's really really cool. But you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I honestly wish I got to play Yote more, but <v Speaker 2>it has just for me. Fallen into a holiday break <v Speaker 2>game similar. All right, well, real quick chunk jumping. Can <v Speaker 2>we include the entire process of getting the chunk out <v Speaker 2>of the ground it starts. There is no chunk jump <v Speaker 2>jump exactly. <v Speaker 9>If you're doing that whole thing of getting the chunk <v Speaker 9>out of the ground, which feels good, and then a <v Speaker 9>chunk jumping off of it, then yeah, I think around you. <v Speaker 2>Could surf on it then pick it up. Then yeah. <v Speaker 5>I think that encapsulates that what is unique about Donkey <v Speaker 5>Kong Bonanza as opposed to other games you like it <v Speaker 5>and other Nintendo platform. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna bold it ship back learn. I think I <v Speaker 2>think we might have to cut stomping in skate Store. <v Speaker 2>There's there's a lot of other really freaking I will <v Speaker 2>remember this as they also. <v Speaker 9>Cut joy cons with Magnetus. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, another category, all right, so I want to do <v Speaker 2>that Right now, we're looking for a third. I think <v Speaker 2>it's perry. I think it's parrying. <v Speaker 9>I think it's pairing. Yeah, I mean I have a <v Speaker 9>conversation sweeter and sweeter combos and Shannoby is also fantastic. <v Speaker 8>Yeah, but the pairing feels so good. It's not just <v Speaker 8>like a time at when like the circle gets smaller. <v Speaker 8>You are looking but at each attack. <v Speaker 9>And every enemy is a different cadence and it's not <v Speaker 9>just against that like, because we're pulling, nothing's locked in yet. <v Speaker 3>So and I I only finished Expedition thirty because I <v Speaker 3>got real good at Paris, So I. <v Speaker 5>Think, like what I would propose the only like true <v Speaker 5>lock in here. I think perrying is the lock here. <v Speaker 5>I think we all love Expedition, but like looking at <v Speaker 5>what's left on the list, I like doing a sweet <v Speaker 5>air combo Shanobi over basically anything else that's left here, <v Speaker 5>because it's what makes it a great game. And we've <v Speaker 5>all said, who've played it, games got the juice, game's <v Speaker 5>got the feel, And I think that's why it does. <v Speaker 5>It's not necessarily about the movement, even though that's good. <v Speaker 5>It's not necessarily about the art style, you know, bringing <v Speaker 5>everything together. No, I think it is the fact that <v Speaker 5>you can do combos your way, and that brings something <v Speaker 5>that's not typically in the two D style of action game. Sure, <v Speaker 5>to that perspective, I think it's incredible. <v Speaker 4>And you know what I think it does. It does <v Speaker 4>something like It's the reason I think Soul Caliber is <v Speaker 4>my favorite fighting game, ever, is because like you can <v Speaker 4>just do cool shit and not be like EVO level <v Speaker 4>play or anything. Like I am not incredible at like <v Speaker 4>linking combos together in a lot of games, but like <v Speaker 4>I wasn't just mashing buttons. It's just that system, that <v Speaker 4>combos system is so readable and easy to pull off, <v Speaker 4>that there's so many different things you can do and <v Speaker 4>it all looks incredible and you don't have to be <v Speaker 4>this like top tier speed run level. <v Speaker 2>Player to do it. <v Speaker 5>When I was thinking about why that one is really <v Speaker 5>hitting for me, the word deliberate came to mind, because <v Speaker 5>like in Shanoby, everything you do feels deliberate. So many <v Speaker 5>action games can feel mashy. We talked about this in <v Speaker 5>Ninja guyin for how like, you know, some of you <v Speaker 5>guys who are a little more casualist stuff kind of <v Speaker 5>mash your way through it, and I tried to be <v Speaker 5>a little more deliberate. I think Shanoby is the one <v Speaker 5>where we all found the moves we like, found the <v Speaker 5>way of chain them together and get better at the game. <v Speaker 5>I think that's why that feels really cool. <v Speaker 2>Could I pitch that we yeah, hype beams, and then <v Speaker 2>also can we talk about maybe unbolding the talking your <v Speaker 2>way out of it. Yeah, so I don't want to. <v Speaker 2>I'm not either. I mean I think we could save <v Speaker 2>it for a moment or sequel. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, it's fantastic, and I think it has way more <v Speaker 6>to do with people and the players that way. <v Speaker 9>But that like is that's the whole thing, is they <v Speaker 9>captured the people and the players and made that a <v Speaker 9>mechanic emerging, like having to go in there and like <v Speaker 9>deal with the fact that other people are gonna have <v Speaker 9>other motivations and some of them are gonna be stinkers <v Speaker 9>and having to talk it out. But I do think <v Speaker 9>that we can maybe harlay that into a moment or see. <v Speaker 2>Other part of that is I I've heard stories of <v Speaker 2>a lot of people just playing that game solo dolo <v Speaker 2>and just never at all interacting. Yeah right, but it's <v Speaker 2>like they will find themselves that they are. <v Speaker 9>These are the people that are complaining about the fact <v Speaker 9>that they when they do interact with someone that is like, yeah, <v Speaker 9>you should have tried talking to them or see. <v Speaker 2>What you can do there. <v Speaker 5>Yeah all right, And just I will say, as the <v Speaker 5>person who put the two beams on there, I agree <v Speaker 5>that like it's just not quite as good as everything <v Speaker 5>that's left hot list, so I agree more excited. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, there we go. That's all I'm looking for. Our <v Speaker 2>top three for Oh that feels cool is chuk Jumping <v Speaker 2>and Donkey Kong Bananza Pairing an Expedition thirty three in <v Speaker 2>Sweet Air Combos in Shanobi, and I. <v Speaker 4>Think pairing number one, I think interesting. <v Speaker 2>I was gonna land with the Sweet Air. Common saying <v Speaker 2>against Sweet Air Combos hit me is that none of <v Speaker 2>it still feels as good as the Azuna Drop and Ninja. <v Speaker 5>Guys radically disagree because I put on the list as <v Speaker 5>the Dunk, which is just one of the greatest things <v Speaker 5>I've ever done in Gosh. <v Speaker 8>I could still put it is Gonna Drop on this <v Speaker 8>list this year. I still feels so breaking good. <v Speaker 6>You know what's funny about the pairing and expision thirty three, <v Speaker 6>that's all some one that's gonna like this game, Remember <v Speaker 6>it's it's also what's so funny, it's also something in <v Speaker 6>a game that pisses off a lot of people feeling <v Speaker 6>like they have to get good at parents. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, well, let's do it like pairing games, and I <v Speaker 4>suck at it like I think it works so well. <v Speaker 4>Here in all the tails were awesome, Like I did <v Speaker 4>not fucking dodge in that game ever, passability. <v Speaker 2>Options in this game for pairing, which I think. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I also like that they highlighted of like you parry <v Speaker 2>this many times? Good, great, you dodged that many times. <v Speaker 2>Our winner for their first category of Day one pairing <v Speaker 2>an Expision three three. <v Speaker 4>Yay, the last time we'll talk about that game. Oh yeah, <v Speaker 4>hit him ghost Doug. <v Speaker 2>It was gonna be much louder he with chunk jumping <v Speaker 2>and Donkey Kong and sweet air combos in. Cool yeah, cool, <v Speaker 2>all right. Moving on to category number two is hardware <v Speaker 2>thing of the year. Quickly swapping grip buttons on the <v Speaker 2>switch to bro controller, switch to camera, the switch to <v Speaker 2>watching cats while playing Bubbs three D on the ay <v Speaker 2>n Thorn. That's Capital Seacats right, yes, Analog three D <v Speaker 2>the eight sixty four Retroid Pocket Classic, attaching joy cons <v Speaker 2>with magnetic Yeah, the sea button on switch to It's <v Speaker 2>not the sea button. <v Speaker 4>I accidentally hit that on the plane last night. I <v Speaker 4>was like, they didn't need a button for this in <v Speaker 4>the whole menu. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, I can get Yeah, I've seriously put it <v Speaker 2>on there so we could have this exact conversation. Okay, <v Speaker 2>se button hate you ship. I think we should cut <v Speaker 2>the switch to camera because it's kind of dog shit. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's great. I really like the Kanaan. <v Speaker 9>I like all the fun stuff they do with the camera, <v Speaker 9>but the hardware itself is not great. <v Speaker 2>It's dog ship. Yeah. When I saw the Parana Plant <v Speaker 2>one going on sale again, I like almost did a <v Speaker 2>spectake seeing that it was only four eightyp Yes, it's yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's rough. <v Speaker 9>Is the retro pocket Classic like much more notable? <v Speaker 2>Let me tell you about all right, carry it out? Yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's a right. <v Speaker 3>Wait, this is this thing that's not Palmer Lucky's thing <v Speaker 3>is No, I'll take a ship on that. <v Speaker 2>That's right. Here's what's in my as. <v Speaker 5>This is the ideal retro gaming handheld in my opinion, <v Speaker 5>Like if you want to play eight bit, sixteen bit <v Speaker 5>thirty two big games, you want you want to play <v Speaker 5>some RPGs, you know, hold on the give you drink, <v Speaker 5>you can. <v Speaker 2>Do d It can do PS two Dan. It has <v Speaker 2>a lot of power in it. It has Antai game. <v Speaker 2>You can't play three androidstmizable. Oh this is too gorgeous. <v Speaker 2>Screens screens, but twice as good. You can watch the <v Speaker 2>cats one just OK. <v Speaker 4>I think the Cats one is just the Ay and <v Speaker 4>Thorer category. I'll say this, I love these gimas. Grub <v Speaker 4>and I we talked about these all the time. Any <v Speaker 4>retro things. I do want to check out this retroid <v Speaker 4>pocket here. But I have shown people so many devices <v Speaker 4>so many times, and never since the A Y and <v Speaker 4>Thor have I seen one that like, how many of <v Speaker 4>you bought it after seeing me showed up? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 4>Most people in this room bought it after I showed <v Speaker 4>and like the amount of people that have like messaged <v Speaker 4>me be like, oh my god, I bought this because <v Speaker 4>you know it's it's It's tremendous. It's my favorite i've <v Speaker 4>ever used. <v Speaker 2>Homie at the TGS was walking around showing everyone the <v Speaker 2>A Y n Thor, was like, Hey, I'm playing this <v Speaker 2>game up here. Look I'm watching this thing down here <v Speaker 2>right now. It's great. I'm going to hold the ay. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's fair, that's fair. <v Speaker 9>I get that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, city is really cool. Man? <v Speaker 4>Is the eight bit sixty four? Is that the controler control? <v Speaker 9>And I think we're all fans of that, right, I <v Speaker 9>like it. <v Speaker 2>I like that thing. Some people not into it. I <v Speaker 2>like it a lot. <v Speaker 8>It's definitely it's the only alternative to the normal sixty <v Speaker 8>four control. <v Speaker 2>I've ever liked the fantastic ones. Sure, yeah, of course. <v Speaker 6>I just supposed to say briefly, like eight bit Dough <v Speaker 6>does this kit where you can convert a sixty four <v Speaker 6>controller into a wireless controller, and I get that it <v Speaker 6>rules religious to take it apart and like destroy it <v Speaker 6>to do that, I don't know, fuck it. I like <v Speaker 6>that it's hard to find sixty four controller. <v Speaker 2>Here's the thing I think I want to cut the <v Speaker 2>switch to me too. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, this is an overall thing. Yeah, okay, it's cool, <v Speaker 4>but that's fair. I think the individual components are better <v Speaker 4>for this s category. <v Speaker 2>Okay, also quickly swapping grip buns on. <v Speaker 7>Yes. <v Speaker 4>I feel strongly about this because since the Xbox of <v Speaker 4>Leade controller or the PlayStation Edge, all these different things, <v Speaker 4>all these controllers are the back pedals held the steam deck. <v Speaker 4>You know, they all have back things now, uh, and <v Speaker 4>it's always some extra level of hassle to do it, <v Speaker 4>even like I lace app on Xbox or whatever. Yeah yeah, <v Speaker 4>or like the eight eight do controllers. I love the <v Speaker 4>ultimate that's kind of my go to PC controller. But <v Speaker 4>it's like you have to download an app and go <v Speaker 4>through a thing kind of like with the switch to <v Speaker 4>pro controller. You literally just hold the home button for <v Speaker 4>a second. It's right there. You don't have to go <v Speaker 4>into a separate sub you know, controllers many or anything. <v Speaker 4>You're just like, hey, what do you want this left <v Speaker 4>button to be? <v Speaker 9>I want that to be. <v Speaker 4>Why what do you want the right button to be. <v Speaker 4>I want to be left to you know, bump or whatever. <v Speaker 4>Just hit the home button. You're back in the game. <v Speaker 4>It takes two seconds, well with eight. <v Speaker 2>But do you can do it on the controller itself? Yes, <v Speaker 2>that's right. <v Speaker 9>There's something about the switch to just putting it visually <v Speaker 9>right in front of me. It's like it reminds me <v Speaker 9>of it. <v Speaker 2>That's kind of an app, not just the thing. <v Speaker 9>It's if I had to go on a separate app, <v Speaker 9>I wouldn't do I'm just like you know me, I <v Speaker 9>do I do this only with the switch to pro control. <v Speaker 9>I don't do anything else because it's just enough of <v Speaker 9>a hassle. <v Speaker 2>And the fact that they made it integrated, well, yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's very obviously, Sean, I didn't even realize that with <v Speaker 2>the but doing like, how. <v Speaker 9>Do you do that with these to like hold down <v Speaker 9>like the one of their star buttons. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's what the star bun is. That's the program. <v Speaker 9>But it's like a bunch of yeah button combo. It's <v Speaker 9>not a bunch, but it's something. <v Speaker 2>You would like need to look up, probably just like <v Speaker 2>when you're first starting to do you know, no more <v Speaker 2>than anything else really, but it's right. <v Speaker 8>There, I should say, But like I am also a <v Speaker 8>piece of shit. You will never do that, I really am. No, No, <v Speaker 8>the analge oh yeah, yeah, well although actually honestly, I'm <v Speaker 8>not a backgrip guy. I'm just I don't live that way. <v Speaker 2>You are a front group. I'm a front gripper. That's <v Speaker 2>what you'll say about always the buttons that God gave me. <v Speaker 2>All right, talk to me about the Analog three D <v Speaker 2>because I'm just not going to ever pick it up. <v Speaker 5>It's kind of just Will's popping off. Is kind of <v Speaker 5>just the best N sixty four you can get. If <v Speaker 5>you want to play your original cartridges or a flash <v Speaker 5>cart it is the best way to do that as <v Speaker 5>plug and play. You don't have to get a modern <v Speaker 5>to mod. You're end sixty four at all. You don't <v Speaker 5>have to think too hard about what hardware buy. Just <v Speaker 5>buy this piece of hardware that, yes, I know is <v Speaker 5>sometimes hard to get. But you buy this piece of hardware. <v Speaker 5>Plug ac in my cable, connect your controller of choice, <v Speaker 5>whether it be the eight DO sixty four or something <v Speaker 5>else wired controller. It makes it all very easy and <v Speaker 5>look very good. You could say it kind of punches <v Speaker 5>above its weight because it does things similar to the <v Speaker 5>retro Tank four K, which is like even the slim <v Speaker 5>down version of that is five hundred, and like the <v Speaker 5>Analog three D itself is now yeah, it's it's like <v Speaker 5>two eighty, I believe. So it's just a really, really <v Speaker 5>nice piece of hardware. I think it's the best thing <v Speaker 5>Analog has done hardware wise, even if it's a little <v Speaker 5>on fish software wise, it is an excellent piece of hardware. <v Speaker 2>And even need the build of the unit that's still <v Speaker 2>fish so sleek and yeah, love it, man, Yeah I <v Speaker 2>might bold it if only then sixty four was a <v Speaker 2>better console. You're not right, all right? <v Speaker 7>Uh? <v Speaker 2>Do y'all really feel that strongly about attaching joy concept massage? <v Speaker 2>I do, Okay, I just. <v Speaker 3>Don't know if it has enough room here. <v Speaker 4>Jan you remember you went to New York City with <v Speaker 4>me for that switch To preview event, And isn't that <v Speaker 4>the first thing when I first held the switch to <v Speaker 4>for the first time. <v Speaker 3>I don't think anyone's denying it feels great, and it's <v Speaker 3>it's possibly consideration for Harvard Think of the Year. <v Speaker 2>But like, but you know what doesn't feel great? It's <v Speaker 2>also just a fidget thing. <v Speaker 3>Like what do you mean you're the way you're describing <v Speaker 3>it is just like this kind of it's a hard <v Speaker 3>work thing. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean it's to be nominated twice. <v Speaker 4>I'm on the plane. I'm on the plane last night <v Speaker 4>and I'm playing Mario Galaxy too, And you know the <v Speaker 4>originally they had the we remote in the nunchuck and <v Speaker 4>stuff like that. So I'm playing a handtail and it's <v Speaker 4>like you can do the touch screen stuff and everything. <v Speaker 4>It's probably gonna better when I detach. Oh hey, my <v Speaker 4>Jack and Coca is here. I need to set there. <v Speaker 4>Let me put the trade down and I set down <v Speaker 4>the little kickstand you know all about that, Jeff, And <v Speaker 4>then you set it down and then click click oh, <v Speaker 4>and now I'm just perfectly playing with that. I don't <v Speaker 4>have to like break plastic and we press that little <v Speaker 4>button and then look when I'm reattaching it. <v Speaker 2>I'm not impressed. <v Speaker 9>Two things do you guys like more? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I feel like you have to pick one magnets <v Speaker 2>or the grips. When magnets it's great. <v Speaker 9>I don't feel strongly about anything as he doesn't. <v Speaker 2>I love those. <v Speaker 3>And if we're talking about hardware a thing of the year, <v Speaker 3>I think it counts less when to echo what Chuck <v Speaker 3>said about it being a correction of what they did <v Speaker 3>incorrectly the last I mean, yeah, I don't. <v Speaker 2>Like using my words like this. <v Speaker 9>Dan is a bad person. <v Speaker 2>You use mouse mode this year? Oh yeah, thats over <v Speaker 2>for audio listeners, I cut quickly, swapping grip bunds. Okay, <v Speaker 2>that's all that, Dank. You read off what's left for <v Speaker 2>the audio. So for what we got left, we have <v Speaker 2>the A Y and thor the Analog three D. Those <v Speaker 2>two are safely bolded. The remaining things are the eight <v Speaker 2>bit sixty four controller, the Retroid Pocket Classic, and attaching <v Speaker 2>joy cons with me, I will say about the magnets, Dan, <v Speaker 2>everything else is like new hardware that is interesting and <v Speaker 2>insanely high quality. Whereas, like Backlar said, attaching joy counds <v Speaker 2>of magnets is a better version and frankly what already <v Speaker 2>should have been there. So I don't think it doesn't <v Speaker 2>loogy yet you know what else it is. It's also <v Speaker 2>like a trigger pushing a plastic peg. It's like, what <v Speaker 2>are we doing here, man, engineer? I get it, but <v Speaker 2>it feels smooth. It's not like the way it's so <v Speaker 2>smooth it gets the street it but you hear that logic, <v Speaker 2>but you hear that loud. It's like imagining a knob <v Speaker 2>opening a door. <v Speaker 5>It's like, come on, I'm not It's just I'm not <v Speaker 5>saying it's not good Hartworth. I just don't think it's <v Speaker 5>on the same level. It's more important than the sixty four. <v Speaker 2>Yes, that is overshadowed by the console. Fair that's fair <v Speaker 2>control and cross it out. <v Speaker 3>But again, oh no, you know so I think it's <v Speaker 3>And now we're in a this is now we're gonna <v Speaker 3>pick where we are rewarding retro content. <v Speaker 2>See one thing on here that can play the movie Cats, well, no, <v Speaker 2>androids could also play Cats play four times magnets, that's true. <v Speaker 2>If you have to stop doing that Cat virginity that <v Speaker 2>I don't know. Who are we to reward magnets. You <v Speaker 2>know that's how they work. <v Speaker 4>Look, I bet the Retroid Pocket Classic is real solid. <v Speaker 4>But I think the Magnets have touched all of our <v Speaker 4>lives this year. <v Speaker 2>I agree with Dan, I want a bold magnet. <v Speaker 3>I think the Magnets have more of a case than <v Speaker 3>than two Android devices. <v Speaker 2>I think that John. <v Speaker 9>I'm sorry the Retroid Pocket Classic has an uphill battle <v Speaker 9>because there is already an Android thing on here, and <v Speaker 9>that the one you showed us is. <v Speaker 2>I could tell it's a better one than the ones <v Speaker 2>I've used, but it looks very similar to all the <v Speaker 2>other ones, and it's a cool color. Gen yours yours? <v Speaker 2>Can we strapped down? <v Speaker 5>Dan? <v Speaker 2>If I say magnet stays? Can we like this is <v Speaker 2>about the person happen have? Fine? <v Speaker 5>How about this cut the retroy Pocket Classic Magnus is <v Speaker 5>on the BOTTB list. <v Speaker 2>Fine, I agree, doesn't get bolder. It's all left. I <v Speaker 2>teal get best. Like sixty four the d S. It's <v Speaker 2>not just a D is it? It's every sixty four <v Speaker 2>thor changed everyone's lives. I could probably I got this <v Speaker 2>ball rolling on like d S three DS emulation es, Yes, exactly. <v Speaker 2>I just remember shooting that video last time. We were <v Speaker 2>all here and thinking the whole time, like, God damn, <v Speaker 2>I want to buy one of. <v Speaker 10>The period transparent purple case something that didn't have that <v Speaker 10>original Yeah, we don't care anymore. <v Speaker 5>That I have. <v Speaker 2>It? Does it? Does it? Does? That's how it goes <v Speaker 2>to sleep. <v Speaker 9>All right? <v Speaker 2>Better use of magnets? Someone much better? So does the <v Speaker 2>Thor win? Yes? All right? <v Speaker 6>And I played an Xbox game on this Yes, I <v Speaker 6>played jets at Radio Future on the Ali handheld modern xboxes. <v Speaker 2>Let me not do that. Let me let me just <v Speaker 2>say it's a good thing. <v Speaker 3>They fixed that power button issue or thank you? <v Speaker 2>It updated? I said it, they updated it. The next <v Speaker 2>hour he's binging and okay, word I can say, yeah, <v Speaker 2>you know, I'm gonna say that means all right, never mind? <v Speaker 2>Thanks ohio. Uh isn't that British slang for yes, gast dog? <v Speaker 2>What are you doing? I was trying to say that <v Speaker 2>sometimes complaining works. Oh do you think of wing Wina? Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Okay from Will Hardware. Thing of the Year goes to <v Speaker 2>the A Y N Thor with the analog three D <v Speaker 2>and magnets. I'm clapping with this one victory for the. <v Speaker 1>Right. <v Speaker 2>Uh is Howard Dean BA that was the most only <v Speaker 2>is what HD actually stood forward Howard Dean Howarden Party <v Speaker 2>Games H G R. Howardan rumble. Uh, almost activated category. <v Speaker 2>This is a very self referential category. Uh. And I <v Speaker 2>can't believe you'll play this many games to completion A <v Speaker 2>fact was faster and completion. You have not finished that one. <v Speaker 4>Yes, you can't say it's the worst, Mike. <v Speaker 2>You don't know. <v Speaker 4>You're not done with it. <v Speaker 2>So can I posit something for the kickoff conversation? Let's <v Speaker 2>tell the audience is what this is? So the category <v Speaker 2>is worst blight. So this is the worst Blake Club <v Speaker 2>game the Blake Boys have played. And I'm gonna say <v Speaker 2>this as the person that helps produce it. Sometimes it <v Speaker 2>fucking sucks watching you guys, does experience last week jam <v Speaker 2>That that sucked? It's terrible. So we have Darkest of <v Speaker 2>Days Leisure Larry, Box Office, Bust, Gilligan's Island, Virtual Sideline, <v Speaker 2>Trespasser Hip, My Ride, Rascal over Blood, e T. Fester's Quest, <v Speaker 2>Blues Brothers. That was this year, Yeah, two thousands, specifically, Okay, <v Speaker 2>I'll take that. Drake nine Dragons and then Terminator three <v Speaker 2>Rise at the Machine. It wasn't Terminator three. Take that off. <v Speaker 4>That was that was not it was two episodes. <v Speaker 2>It was not that bad. <v Speaker 9>Can I promote something real quick an idea, like simultaneously <v Speaker 9>side by side? <v Speaker 2>Can we do worst blight and best blake? Yeah, because <v Speaker 2>we know what worst is? We we do okay, we <v Speaker 2>probably do. We know the worst. <v Speaker 3>So you want to start conversation because I was just <v Speaker 3>gonna say, like, I feel like maybe like like, because <v Speaker 3>I know Sean and you guys have like overexposure with <v Speaker 3>these games. <v Speaker 2>Obviously, the three of you do. I've seen all. You <v Speaker 2>feel like a good amount of it. <v Speaker 7>What you like? <v Speaker 2>That's I'm curious to hear what. <v Speaker 3>Okay, someone who's ingested most of it have an opinion too, <v Speaker 3>But I haven't seen everything. <v Speaker 2>I appreciate that. Thank you, so you got You're my buddy. <v Speaker 2>You're my buddy. <v Speaker 6>Are they colluding already? Will remember that art with what <v Speaker 6>I think are the best games? <v Speaker 2>Meaning? Can we do that? Like I just I get <v Speaker 2>trust pass the worst best blight or like the same <v Speaker 2>best trustpassed worst game. <v Speaker 9>I just want to give something I think is best. <v Speaker 2>Okay, we will denote this is worst blight will be bolded, <v Speaker 2>Best Blake will be underlined. <v Speaker 6>Yes, perfect, I underline trust passed the best fun breat <v Speaker 6>games gems. Maybe I don't know, I shouldn't maybe say <v Speaker 6>that our trespasser for sure over blood and the other. Actually, <v Speaker 6>maybe this is a good game. Is a virtual high Live. Yeah, <v Speaker 6>now I understand. Of the three, I think that might <v Speaker 6>be the weakest one. <v Speaker 2>So I only have an opinion of what I think <v Speaker 2>is worse. That's fine, that's what we come to you for. <v Speaker 2>And I think it's rascal. I think it's funny that <v Speaker 2>I think it's to a mind that it's up to. <v Speaker 2>I think you're the best sufferer. <v Speaker 9>Darkest of Days is going to be in our conversation. <v Speaker 8>Days was pretty rough, a very unpleasant way, a very <v Speaker 8>uncomfortable way that let's be clear, Dan made it worse <v Speaker 8>on himself. <v Speaker 2>You were very bad at playing that game. The amount <v Speaker 2>of time the game. <v Speaker 8>The one time when you just wouldn't go down the <v Speaker 8>path the game was facing you toward, and then it <v Speaker 8>literally teleported you back facing that path. <v Speaker 9>The character yelled at you to go down again. <v Speaker 2>I like to make my own just follow the leader. <v Speaker 2>I don't follow people tell. <v Speaker 3>Me to do. <v Speaker 8>I am competent at my terrible games. And they still <v Speaker 8>are worse than watching you play Darkness of Days. Speaking <v Speaker 8>of your terrible games, we have something we could cut <v Speaker 8>real quick. I think we should cut E. T. Bester's <v Speaker 8>quest in My Ride, My Ride, Oh my god, nine <v Speaker 8>nine Dragons as well. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I should have hurt you so much more I did. <v Speaker 4>All right, you got a lucky I might sneakly be <v Speaker 4>a good. <v Speaker 8>Gamer Dragon nine nine Dragons and then darkenst of Days <v Speaker 8>you were just it was like, well, here's the thing. <v Speaker 4>Dragon niney nine Dragons was just like jumpy shooty people <v Speaker 4>in Darkness and. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, front of him ride, I mean Gilligan was sure <v Speaker 2>lived but is not bolded yet. Yeah. Oh it's the <v Speaker 2>word skim folded. <v Speaker 4>Okay it who wants to explained? <v Speaker 2>Box Office Bus play a pathetic pervert a world but <v Speaker 2>a small dick, A big small dick. <v Speaker 8>Most of the game involves you having to walk to <v Speaker 8>one place to another. Sometimes there's a timer for no reason, <v Speaker 8>and other times there isn't. One of the characters likes <v Speaker 8>to have sex with animals, and then why from sign <v Speaker 8>Patrick Warburton Patrick. <v Speaker 4>When it already laying David tel Carmen, Electra Jane Moore Peter. <v Speaker 2>Peter is a great cast. <v Speaker 6>It is astounding and monumental, and its failures with the <v Speaker 6>people that. <v Speaker 8>Warburn is, the main characters, the name, He's the movie Starker. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, just shoot, yeah, you got it. <v Speaker 8>Painful to look at you are suffering when you hear <v Speaker 8>the dialogue like somehow like just moving around to them. <v Speaker 8>So terrible and even like put in platforming stuff when <v Speaker 8>the game never asks you the platform what years? <v Speaker 2>This would oh my god, way too recent, three sixty <v Speaker 2>right sixty game. It's rough. I dread Wednesdays right now. <v Speaker 2>And it's also long. It's not done yet. Surprisingly, it <v Speaker 2>goes on and on. Blues Brothers two thousand is Can <v Speaker 2>Get a Cross? Wh whoa, whoa, whoa woa, let's talk <v Speaker 2>about it. I look it was. <v Speaker 9>It's especially bad because it was supposed to be short. Yes, <v Speaker 9>the circumstances. I don't think it actually plays out up <v Speaker 9>against some. <v Speaker 2>Of these scenes. It seemed like it was made just boring. <v Speaker 9>It was, yeah, and like it uh, the fact that <v Speaker 9>it wanted you to go back and get all of <v Speaker 9>them notes and everything, the fact you had to get <v Speaker 9>all the collectibles that did not shot up one. But <v Speaker 9>even then it's like I I would rather be playing <v Speaker 9>Blues Brothers than well, I would choose Rascal. I didn't <v Speaker 9>have as much trouble with Rascal like right away. But <v Speaker 9>Blues Brothers two thousand, Yes, that was not good. Did <v Speaker 9>you write Blues Brothers two thousands? <v Speaker 2>It's funny, all right. Let me say that producing leisure <v Speaker 2>Suit Larry Box Office Bust is the absolute worst because <v Speaker 2>I don't know, Sean, if you notice, the sound mixing <v Speaker 2>is so it's so bad, it's terrible. It's it's terrible. <v Speaker 5>Just the dynamic range in that game is so awful, <v Speaker 5>like we've had to use limitters and compressors. Nothing ever <v Speaker 5>worse because it'll sound like shit is just a nightmare. <v Speaker 5>And then the whole time it's a leisure Suit Larry. <v Speaker 2>We have to deal with that. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I mean the sound might be bad because man, <v Speaker 4>he's doing like a weird version. <v Speaker 2>He had to you, it's just the game. <v Speaker 5>And also I'm kind of worried I'm gonna have to <v Speaker 5>cut to black at ain't given second, I know, but <v Speaker 5>it doesn't matter. I'm like, there's things that can be in. <v Speaker 9>I'm ready a game. <v Speaker 6>It's just a first game where I'm like we might <v Speaker 6>get in trouble for this year because like it is <v Speaker 6>not listed on Twitch that I'm thinking every day. <v Speaker 2>It is, like, yeah, it's not bad. <v Speaker 3>But it's also we did not reward this, even if <v Speaker 3>it's for the. <v Speaker 2>Series. <v Speaker 8>It's supposed to be kind of funny, like a little sexy, <v Speaker 8>but mostly it's a comedy. <v Speaker 2>You play one of the original ones, that's actually funny, right, I. <v Speaker 8>Played the one before this that's also bad, but like <v Speaker 8>it was a little sexy. It was the college campus <v Speaker 8>one and I was in college, and it was as titillated. <v Speaker 8>You know, I have never been less interested in sex <v Speaker 8>in my life than when I'm playing this game makes jokes. <v Speaker 6>And you guys don't even react anymore. You just hear <v Speaker 6>the those foul ship and you guys just stare. It's <v Speaker 6>just it's hurt me the amount of they hold their <v Speaker 6>head in their hands. <v Speaker 5>You know. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Ala was deaddy Be turning in his grave. It's awful. <v Speaker 2>Play club, Uh, Darkest of Days? Was there any payoff <v Speaker 2>to the story? No, the best part was way founded. <v Speaker 2>That one guys from nine nine to eleven and he <v Speaker 2>likes pizza. <v Speaker 8>It's yeah, Darkest of Days. It's like it's almost too <v Speaker 8>much of the dread. It's almost like, gosh, it just <v Speaker 8>kind of goes. <v Speaker 4>I mean, it's got this kind of fun concept of <v Speaker 4>time traveling and going to different wars and stuff, and <v Speaker 4>then it's just like, well, I guess every war was <v Speaker 4>in just like a boring forest. <v Speaker 8>Only at the end of the game, did you go <v Speaker 8>to Rome or POMPEII where you're shooting all this poor. <v Speaker 2>At your request? I am a horrible, blood thirsty. <v Speaker 9>So I think the winner of this is definitely a <v Speaker 9>sonic blast for the game shot. <v Speaker 2>I think it's Leader is the worst. I think. I <v Speaker 2>think I think Trespasser is easily Trust is easily the best. <v Speaker 2>It's clearly a bad game, but is so interesting and <v Speaker 2>how bad it is. <v Speaker 6>For the winner of worst play, I think we don't <v Speaker 6>clap with Boo Righthorn somehow. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Channe'll fix the post. Don't worry, thank you, thank you. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's reward the best blight to Trespass her <v Speaker 2>congratulations runners up, Virtual Highlight and over Blood. Shouts out <v Speaker 2>to our boy pepot Oh. <v Speaker 4>Yeah to my boy word Pepo. <v Speaker 2>The worst blight the Lusia Larry Box Office Bush the <v Speaker 2>worst video game I've ever played, that's saying something you <v Speaker 2>played over a thousand games. <v Speaker 9>Yeah, played a lot of bad games lately for some reason. <v Speaker 2>With Darkness of Days and Rascal as the runners up, <v Speaker 2>you cut off easy Rascal pieces. Let's count. <v Speaker 9>So there's one back of our game one. I've won <v Speaker 9>two three games on here, only three of mine? <v Speaker 4>All right, I had Darkest of Days e T and <v Speaker 4>Pit My Ride. <v Speaker 2>It's three Terminator and Drake and I five. Okay, well <v Speaker 2>I do a lot four you had to double up. <v Speaker 9>And and I have soundic Blast that's not on there. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, kind of. I think you'd bet that in a <v Speaker 2>day that I have to go again. You only have <v Speaker 2>four Dan right five on there? <v Speaker 4>Right, Darkness of Days, Pit My Ride Uh. <v Speaker 2>Was one episode? <v Speaker 4>Right, I'm the cal Blake e T. <v Speaker 2>He's not as bad as advertised once. <v Speaker 4>You figure out what's going on. <v Speaker 2>You know what's going on. It's a game you need <v Speaker 2>a manual for. <v Speaker 9>Yah. But it's the one game from that generation you <v Speaker 9>did the man manual four, which is why it's so weird. <v Speaker 2>There was also a good chunk of Terminator three that <v Speaker 2>was just the movie. Yeah, that's the most forgettable Blake <v Speaker 2>game perhaps, Yeah. Yeah, it happened. <v Speaker 4>Oh yes, criticizing the Yeah, I would not know. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna call them. Yeah, all right, folks, we're gonna <v Speaker 2>take a quick bricky break and we will be back <v Speaker 2>with the rest of the categories for day one. More right, dog, <v Speaker 2>it's time to start the show. Are you ready to go? Uh? <v Speaker 9>Yeah, dude, I'm ready. <v Speaker 2>No, crump, you look like you are in a den <v Speaker 2>of iniquity right now. I don't know what that means, <v Speaker 2>and I don't know what you want. It's not like <v Speaker 2>I have a home studio, Jan, Yes you do. The <v Speaker 2>computers that main Gear built for us have Nvidia g <v Speaker 2>Force RTX chipoos in them, and with the Nvidia Studio <v Speaker 2>drivers and in Vidia Broadcast, you can turn even your <v Speaker 2>man cave into a professional studio. Are and everybody, We're back for <v Speaker 2>day one of Game of the Year twenty twenty five <v Speaker 2>at Giant Bob and we are at main Gear, our <v Speaker 2>dear friends over here. Thank you for letting us use <v Speaker 2>the space. Thank you maybe dot com slash Giant bomb <v Speaker 2>go by yourself a PC or three. Buy my face plate. <v Speaker 2>You can see our face flight right over there behind <v Speaker 2>grub main Gear. Very kind for letting us use their <v Speaker 2>space even after we stunk it up during the bombathon <v Speaker 2>and committed heinous crimes. No one's been in this room <v Speaker 2>since Yeah, yeah, you spoke on Zero everywhere it was <v Speaker 2>my coke Zero's I'm are you throwing me under the bus? <v Speaker 2>You can't Dan the nuts? Nice? <v Speaker 4>Are you attacking Jan? <v Speaker 2>It's a problem Dan. It's like, oh you can laugh like. <v Speaker 9>I don't want to laugh that. <v Speaker 2>He's like hurting the go dog. Like I would have <v Speaker 2>laughed at me if that happened, because I was genuinely <v Speaker 2>scared for you. <v Speaker 4>I mean, I would want permission to like, I would <v Speaker 4>want to make sure that you're okay, but like I <v Speaker 4>would recognize how funny it is. <v Speaker 9>I didn't think it was funny, am I. <v Speaker 4>Somebody getting hit in the nuts isn't funny. <v Speaker 2>No, it's a good Also. <v Speaker 9>Fell over really slow, like and he's fine, Yeah, you just. <v Speaker 2>Problem. I have a funny duddy. I didn't think it <v Speaker 2>was funny that Dan got hidden. Then the microphone fell <v Speaker 2>on my nerves and you're saying it's not funny in <v Speaker 2>slow motion. Moving on to the next category, we the <v Speaker 2>best game we beat kind of funny and or mid <v Speaker 2>max and or Game Informer. At this year, we're not <v Speaker 2>gonna have time. That's like every game I know, I know, <v Speaker 2>So I'm just gonna go real quick, Baby Steps, Monico two, <v Speaker 2>Pizza Bandit, Rematch, Sectory, everybody's gone hotshots, Elden Ring, Night Rain. <v Speaker 7>When was. <v Speaker 2>That's been asynchronous to one? <v Speaker 9>Yeah? I beat Jacob Geller in that mid MAXI zone, <v Speaker 9>but he has since gotten back out ahead of me, <v Speaker 9>so we can't get rid of that one. <v Speaker 2>That's just a temporary embarrassment. I will be back on <v Speaker 2>top here. I think we could take Rematch off. <v Speaker 7>I think that was the one who we were like <v Speaker 7>destroying that because if I was doing the best and <v Speaker 7>he didn't like that, No, you you made it not fun. <v Speaker 2>You because it was us as a collect destroy That <v Speaker 2>would be a category six the three to win the game? <v Speaker 1>Is it not? <v Speaker 2>And you can't celebrate? Can the audience have a voice here? Yeah? <v Speaker 8>Me? <v Speaker 6>Rematch was one of the best ones to watch because <v Speaker 6>it was dramatic, had suspense when you. <v Speaker 2>Was getting mad at you guys about it. It was <v Speaker 2>very funny. <v Speaker 3>There were shades of teamwork, right, I mean yeah, but <v Speaker 3>it's like right, we you know, we let our rabid <v Speaker 3>dog loose and we beat the other team. <v Speaker 2>Guys like when it or not. I like the fact <v Speaker 2>that we beat you. That was the Three Stooges sound effects. <v Speaker 5>Speaking of winning because of Dan, Baby Steps went very <v Speaker 5>well for us, specifically for that reason, and I would <v Speaker 5>like to highlight that one because that was a great <v Speaker 5>you got. <v Speaker 2>A funny joke. <v Speaker 9>Dan was really bad at it. <v Speaker 2>It was painfully bad. I don't know I've ever seen <v Speaker 2>Jeff as bad as Dan. <v Speaker 9>Actually, you could see me just trying to have some <v Speaker 9>shred of patience. <v Speaker 2>So look out on your face when you realize, oh, <v Speaker 2>I need to fix this. Kids, we can. <v Speaker 6>We can cross our rematch, keep Baby Steps. I think <v Speaker 6>that we're definitely keeping babies. <v Speaker 2>That was great. I think we can cut everybody's hated <v Speaker 2>playing that. It was. It was a bad game. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>it was not good. Okay crossing. Did you guys lose? No? <v Speaker 8>No, no, you bold that one actually because I think <v Speaker 8>we probably beat him so good at that I can <v Speaker 8>barely remember the teacher. <v Speaker 9>You we beat him. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was such a footnote. You know in what <v Speaker 2>a in what a wondrous year of victories Pete abandoned. <v Speaker 2>I really liked because you got, you know, the other <v Speaker 2>homies involved. You got to drive around San Francisco and <v Speaker 2>that was their home turf. Yeah, we went into the <v Speaker 2>beat them at the game and at pizza. Right, the <v Speaker 2>pizza was just kind of a time thing going pizza. <v Speaker 7>I do that. <v Speaker 2>Was so bad at making pizzas that I refused to <v Speaker 2>accept like a pizza victory was the best. Pizza miller <v Speaker 2>was worse. Well, yeah, I think didn't he tear a <v Speaker 2>hole in his I think that's what happened. <v Speaker 4>I thought was actually really good. <v Speaker 2>No, you put on like a pound of parmesan cheese. <v Speaker 2>You just knew that sounds good. That's not how cheese works, <v Speaker 2>all right. Remember this is not a category against each other, <v Speaker 2>it's other websites on each other. <v Speaker 4>Annihilated kind of funny in Monaco too, Yeah, we get yeah, <v Speaker 4>annihilated them. <v Speaker 2>That was one of the ones where I peeped over <v Speaker 2>and looked at their stream and they start to look <v Speaker 2>very frustrated at each other. <v Speaker 3>That I like that when they started, when the opposing <v Speaker 3>team begins to turn on each. <v Speaker 6>Other, where you were playing the punchy person and just enforcing, <v Speaker 6>and yes, I don't think that's how you're supposed to <v Speaker 6>play as him, but I just cool. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Pizza bandit would we also bowld, Well, we cannot bold. <v Speaker 11>All of them work as a team, and all of <v Speaker 11>them went yeah, you know, yeah, I'm president. I'm going <v Speaker 11>to un strike these like them all and then I'm <v Speaker 11>going to bowld them. All right, so hey we just win. Yeah, <v Speaker 11>ship other publications. <v Speaker 9>Yeah we get good. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, all right. Moving on to the next category, the <v Speaker 2>Soldier Boy Award for best game for people who like <v Speaker 2>to drink and get drunk or smoke and get high <v Speaker 2>of the Year. The nominees are Luminous, Arise, Skate Story, <v Speaker 2>q Up, Secretory, Powerwash Simulator Too, Once Upon a Cut, Mari, Luminous, Arise, <v Speaker 2>am I right now, Keeper Megabunk, Baby Steps sort of <v Speaker 2>the Sea Skate, and Mind Eye. I think you can <v Speaker 2>add ghost Of vote here too. <v Speaker 4>Oh okay, that's a pretty good high game ghost Of <v Speaker 4>for different reasons than the other ones. Yeah, it's just <v Speaker 4>beautiful and just open world and just kind of riding <v Speaker 4>around on your horse and like that is a beautiful game. <v Speaker 2>Okay, Now, I think. <v Speaker 3>Luminous is gonna it's already there, Luminous. <v Speaker 2>It's okay with three times. I think that game is <v Speaker 2>almost like we were laughing earlier. It's almost like. <v Speaker 3>An instant instant bold because even if you're sober, it <v Speaker 3>makes you feel hot. <v Speaker 2>I mean that is what that you know Tetris effect <v Speaker 2>in this like wit there ideal for that is that <v Speaker 2>journey mode. <v Speaker 4>It's all sights and sounds. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, i'd a lot. <v Speaker 8>I always want to ask, like always the trick getting <v Speaker 8>a little old now because it is very similar what <v Speaker 8>Tetris affected. <v Speaker 2>But the no no formula, I'm going to cut not <v Speaker 2>I'm proud of you. Thank you, Thank you, mostly because <v Speaker 2>you're actually tracking too many stats that you have to <v Speaker 2>be sober exactly cut sectory. <v Speaker 9>It's a game that I would, but I don't recommend it. <v Speaker 2>No, you could die, and I don't want to meet <v Speaker 2>the other person who like me, would enjoy that, Like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>don't die, don't do that. It's okay. I mean maybe <v Speaker 2>it's the. <v Speaker 9>Only way to enjoy it. I don't know. <v Speaker 6>When you turn that man into spaghetti, that was kind <v Speaker 6>of don't worry. <v Speaker 9>That's in other categories. <v Speaker 2>We can cut up because you have to be completely <v Speaker 2>sober to participate at that high of a level of sports. Ironic, <v Speaker 2>thank you. <v Speaker 9>I think it's like, after a certain amount of time <v Speaker 9>and you have gotten to a flow state, you can <v Speaker 9>at that point, which I think probably means the answer <v Speaker 9>is no, okay, you have to like get. <v Speaker 4>Over a hump with I think it'd be tough in <v Speaker 4>the same way that it kind of sectorious, not as <v Speaker 4>constant bombardment, but like it does demand your attention and <v Speaker 4>skilled right, but like. <v Speaker 9>Once it becomes second nature, then it's fun to like <v Speaker 9>explore the space. But you're right, that's not what we're <v Speaker 9>going for here. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna cut the other extra luminous arises out of here. <v Speaker 2>This is serious. I guess it's Jan's Game of the <v Speaker 2>Year award. You hate to leave Jan alone. <v Speaker 7>Beat Ghost the Ghost Ghost Ghost, and you didn't laugh <v Speaker 7>at it, Mike, So I'm sorry, Maclar. I think you're <v Speaker 7>gonna you were about. <v Speaker 3>To say something, Uh, it's entirely possible, Jan, I think, Uh, <v Speaker 3>I think I've played Skate Story more high than not. <v Speaker 9>Okay, okay, but then what about skate the skate like <v Speaker 9>does seem like it's a good hang it's not. <v Speaker 2>No, I think Skate Story is way more chill than Skate. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>but I like Skate for this, we don't have to <v Speaker 2>we don't have to cut both over the other. <v Speaker 9>Spoke because I'm afraid of it. Skate is the game <v Speaker 9>I wouldn't want. <v Speaker 2>To play them most. I think. I don't think you <v Speaker 2>understand Weed. Here's a story we'll tell later. I'll bold <v Speaker 2>Skate and I'll bold Skate Story. Okay, I like that. <v Speaker 6>I think that's wild. As a I haven't played either <v Speaker 6>of these games. Skate Story appeals to me in this category. <v Speaker 3>So it is the antithesism, like really is It's just <v Speaker 3>not that, like I wouldn't want that. <v Speaker 2>It's a hangout game. <v Speaker 5>I don't know. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, but it does it. It takes none of <v Speaker 2>the sure visually yeah no, I know. <v Speaker 4>But like but also if I'm high, I don't want <v Speaker 4>to be like hanging out. <v Speaker 2>But it's also to get drunk, and to get drunk, <v Speaker 2>it's getting drunk could be fine like their friends. <v Speaker 9>And like, hey, I'm gonna go try to do this <v Speaker 9>dumb ass thing. <v Speaker 2>What I will say is I did smoke a fat <v Speaker 2>blazy and then spent maybe an hour two hours trying <v Speaker 2>to nail a perfect christ Air through a church window, <v Speaker 2>and then I edited it later, still high to I <v Speaker 2>think Creed's higher y, so I think it counts. I <v Speaker 2>think it's still there. Sort of. The Sea. I didn't <v Speaker 2>check this out. <v Speaker 4>That's a very good one for this That is great <v Speaker 4>because it's very low stakes. It's just go in this <v Speaker 4>open world, surf around on your sword. Everything's beautiful. You're <v Speaker 4>turning the sand into the sea, and whales are going <v Speaker 4>by and everything, and like it's just not tough. You're <v Speaker 4>just kind of sailing around, jumping on stuff, and everything's beautiful. <v Speaker 9>I think sold your boy would like this game. <v Speaker 2>I think so too. All right, I won't bowld it, <v Speaker 2>but I won't cut it yet. Keeper. I don't know <v Speaker 2>too much about Keeper. I played some of that. <v Speaker 9>What do you think I would say cut it? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? I don't think. I think yeah. I don't think <v Speaker 2>you're saying it's not a Keeper. <v Speaker 6>Did you just get far enough in that game where <v Speaker 6>it does the sort of like reveal. <v Speaker 9>I don't know, maybe not. <v Speaker 2>I think we're a bad group to talk about. Every <v Speaker 2>puzzle I encounter in that game was so nothing that <v Speaker 2>I kind of fell off at pretty fast. <v Speaker 6>We should revisit Keeper in twenty twenty six. <v Speaker 2>Is meg does Megabunk approach sectory? <v Speaker 4>No, So Megabank is so much better for this category <v Speaker 4>than sectory. A secretory is so demanding, and god, Megabank, <v Speaker 4>you just pick your dumb ass character and you're just <v Speaker 4>walking around and jumping and you don't need to know <v Speaker 4>anything until like, oh, there's three minutes left. No, I <v Speaker 4>guess I should start heading towards the boss. But you <v Speaker 4>can be drunk or high or a combination of both. <v Speaker 6>I've done it all with this game, and it is <v Speaker 6>a d light Vampire Survivors like right in that very <v Speaker 6>Vampire Survivor Survivors was great for that it become very chill. <v Speaker 6>How long are like the rounds and Mega ten minutes? <v Speaker 6>Oh wonderful? <v Speaker 2>Okay. I like when you describe a character that you're <v Speaker 2>playing as your dumb ass character. <v Speaker 4>I mean it was a skeleton with a skateboard or <v Speaker 4>your guy named Chad. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's a skeleton's name. I don't remember it was <v Speaker 2>it like calcium. <v Speaker 9>Or some shit. <v Speaker 2>Yeah that's good, that's good. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, there's the back of the Future kid, there's a <v Speaker 4>dumb I think I'll bold it. <v Speaker 2>I love megabonk Dan you I know that you love <v Speaker 2>power Wash Simulator was two another good one. <v Speaker 4>It's good. I mean it's good in the same way <v Speaker 4>that one is good. It's got some quality life stuff <v Speaker 4>that I like better, like the way it uses soap <v Speaker 4>and stuff like that. But like for this category, it's <v Speaker 4>the same way. It's good for that where it's like <v Speaker 4>you could absolutely, like an hour before you're gonna go <v Speaker 4>to sleep, you just want to play something not demanding, <v Speaker 4>get a little high or something like Powerwash Simulator is <v Speaker 4>great for that. Okay, it's the best like wine down chill, <v Speaker 4>you know, be high game before after secondary. <v Speaker 2>Sure, yeah, I would take it off, though, honestly, with <v Speaker 2>all the other stuff on here, I think maybe next <v Speaker 2>year we should also think about maybe best like wine <v Speaker 2>mom category. Oh you know which one you'd kick back <v Speaker 2>with a glass of wine? But are we okay cutting <v Speaker 2>wine of alcohol? Can you? Can you guys talk to <v Speaker 2>me about once upon a category. <v Speaker 4>I say this like it is in the way that <v Speaker 4>any Katemari is just like, well, this is so wacky. <v Speaker 4>It's like that's like a soldier boy type approaches, like, <v Speaker 4>oh wow, all this crazy stuff. Imagine being a high endplane. <v Speaker 4>But it's like it's just like it's a camory. <v Speaker 7>We know what it is. <v Speaker 5>It's not specifically doing anything too special with the formula. <v Speaker 5>It's more just like a theme diverse and Katamari and yeah, <v Speaker 5>it's it's still good for that balancing. It's necessarily in <v Speaker 5>as hard as wrestlings. <v Speaker 4>I think it's a much better game than Sort Of <v Speaker 4>the Sea, But I think sort Of the Sea is <v Speaker 4>better for this category. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't think. <v Speaker 9>I don't think Katemari is augmented too much by any <v Speaker 9>of these substances, fund all right. <v Speaker 2>I am striking that through Ghost of Yo Taste and <v Speaker 2>Sort Of the Sea yet to be bolded. I would <v Speaker 2>between those two, and I've played a lot of both. <v Speaker 2>I think sort Of the Sea fits this category more. <v Speaker 2>I mean, Yota is you know, you could just stumble <v Speaker 2>into like a big consequential story sequence and some tough <v Speaker 2>fights and things like that. There's just a little more <v Speaker 2>going on in the otay where sort of Sea you <v Speaker 2>can just absolutely just zone out. <v Speaker 8>Okay, Okay, I feel like I wasn't wanting too many <v Speaker 8>people over were skinned. <v Speaker 2>I guess that strong about it. I was about to <v Speaker 2>attack it so thank you. <v Speaker 8>Right, it's the game that would make me feel safe <v Speaker 8>in the safe arms of electronic arts. <v Speaker 3>In the spirit of like expanding your mind and being <v Speaker 3>engaged with like visual stimulation. I don't know, for being <v Speaker 3>drunk end or stone. I feel like Skate is perhaps <v Speaker 3>not the. <v Speaker 4>One Final four a little strong contenders. <v Speaker 6>So we're talking about Megabok versus sort Of the Sea <v Speaker 6>in terms of who's taken this slot. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, seems so. <v Speaker 4>I just I do think Megabonk is just a better game, <v Speaker 4>so if that gives it the edge, because yeah, it's <v Speaker 4>not really that demand. <v Speaker 3>I think sort of this Yeah, I think sort Of <v Speaker 3>the Sea though, is I only touched it. But I <v Speaker 3>do think it has more of like the mind expansion. <v Speaker 4>The visuals and stuff. Yeah, we're talking about being high <v Speaker 4>and stuff like probably more like whoa. <v Speaker 2>You do have to juggle information a little bit MEGABONNK. <v Speaker 9>It's like, I don't know what I'm usually looking for <v Speaker 9>in that situation is something that's like, oh no, it's <v Speaker 9>okay not to think, just react and look at all <v Speaker 9>this cool shit happening on this. <v Speaker 2>SI, you know, for this category. Yeah, I do think <v Speaker 2>sort Of the Sea is better. I think is a <v Speaker 2>much better game, but like sort of Sea is way <v Speaker 2>better for turning your brain off and just taking in <v Speaker 2>the sounds. Okay, Okay, so I'm gonna unbold it and <v Speaker 2>then cross it out. Okay, that leaves three. That leaves three, <v Speaker 2>and R three for the category so far are sort <v Speaker 2>of the Sea, Skate Story, and Luminous Arise Luminous. I <v Speaker 2>do just want to shout out the skate story because <v Speaker 2>there's a moment near the very end of the game <v Speaker 2>where you're like hitting up a skate park and you're <v Speaker 2>just supposed to like build up your trick combo and <v Speaker 2>get to like a high score, and it starts off <v Speaker 2>with like some very esoteric light music and then I <v Speaker 2>don't know if it timed out to when I first <v Speaker 2>stomped my combo or whatever, just the most blaring dub <v Speaker 2>step that was kind of an assault on my heart <v Speaker 2>kicked in and then I thought I did something bad <v Speaker 2>that I start to panic and was I high while <v Speaker 2>I was doing it? I was, and it did not <v Speaker 2>help my state. But however, the the last segment of <v Speaker 2>the game very chill, and it's like games are fun. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Skates is definitely like it's simple you're never like, <v Speaker 3>oh no, Menlote, I didn't bring it up, but you know, <v Speaker 3>like whereas like Lunus is like oh fuck, oh fuck oh, <v Speaker 3>there's a lot of oh fuck, oh fuck skatess and <v Speaker 3>there's none of that. There's the stakes are very low. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, luminas on Here is actually like the most demanding <v Speaker 4>gameplay experience, but it is also just so customing. <v Speaker 9>It's easy. <v Speaker 2>You'll enter a flow state with eventually. Yeah, yeah, I <v Speaker 2>think that's very important to get. <v Speaker 4>While you're the journey mode. You can definitely just God <v Speaker 4>and Journey mode. <v Speaker 2>It's great except when the apples show up and then <v Speaker 2>I'm just snapped back into a horrifying games this year. <v Speaker 9>Talk about best Apple right, Sorry. <v Speaker 2>So the Soldier Boy Award for best game for people <v Speaker 2>who like to drink and get drunk or smoke and <v Speaker 2>get high of the Year, Ghost two, Luminous Skate Story <v Speaker 2>and Sword of the Sea as the runners up. Gang <v Speaker 2>We're at her final category. Oh day one, and that <v Speaker 2>category is best New Character. <v Speaker 7>Man. <v Speaker 2>Oh okay. We have Sca from Claire Obscurer, Harra from <v Speaker 2>Pretty from Ghost of Yo, Malina Away from These Two, <v Speaker 2>Cider from Absolom, Chase from Dispatch b from Dispatch Alzara <v Speaker 2>from Blue Prince, Sherma from Hollow Night, Silk Song, doll <v Speaker 2>Man Death Straining to Poppy Kong from Donkey Kong Bonanza, <v Speaker 2>Norah Armstrong Metric Prime four beyond how do you pronounce <v Speaker 2>this one? <v Speaker 3>Is it? <v Speaker 2>If you review nine nine five Metric Prime four beyond <v Speaker 2>ted Lego Party? And then John Mind's Eye, who keeps <v Speaker 2>adding how's Minoco? <v Speaker 3>Not on? <v Speaker 6>Well we can add we scraped John and ad Minoko? <v Speaker 6>Who's Poppy Kong. <v Speaker 9>Ceo? <v Speaker 2>Remember how there was? <v Speaker 9>So there's the bad guy, the tiny one. <v Speaker 2>He had to people, Yeah, yeah, she goes invisible. Monkey <v Speaker 2>can't be a character. Damn what I'm saying? Monkey can't <v Speaker 2>be sexy? <v Speaker 7>But either. <v Speaker 2>He did word for do you know what a goku is? <v Speaker 9>Yes? <v Speaker 8>So categories like this, I like to have a no <v Speaker 8>go ku rule, which is a character existed in the <v Speaker 8>media before video games. <v Speaker 2>I don't know if they're the best character. So horror <v Speaker 2>is that character from the problem? <v Speaker 4>That's the rule that like is melon melin away? Is <v Speaker 4>that an actual Greek lady? <v Speaker 3>Like? <v Speaker 2>Uh, be fair? We don't have to abide by this rule. <v Speaker 5>I know the lore here was supposed to be the game, <v Speaker 5>and the anime came out at the same time. The <v Speaker 5>game was heavily delayed, so technically they should have beant <v Speaker 5>the same. <v Speaker 2>No Goku's here. <v Speaker 6>Yeah, there an talk about quick every horse and like <v Speaker 6>the horse girls are based on real race horses, right, <v Speaker 6>so this particular yeah fair, this particular horse girl is <v Speaker 6>based on a horse that had the longest losing streak <v Speaker 6>but was known as like a happy go lucky horse <v Speaker 6>in this character always loses every race. <v Speaker 2>Well, I got good news for you about this keg <v Speaker 2>Now I was good. I was going to say that <v Speaker 2>is more of a yump shot than anything. Yeah, because <v Speaker 2>they will not give you that mean no, no no. Also, <v Speaker 2>I think I forget Haru might be the one that <v Speaker 2>a lot of people donated hay to because you could <v Speaker 2>donate hay and feed the actual real and then for <v Speaker 2>the first time they were inundated with so much food. <v Speaker 2>I see. Yeah, So don't you feel bad now you <v Speaker 2>don't want these horses to eat taking food, taking food <v Speaker 2>off family. They'll be eating fine their horses. Ted Lego <v Speaker 2>party is the one that looks like jam did thought <v Speaker 2>it was you. <v Speaker 4>I mean, real Jan has better jokes than the Lego Party. <v Speaker 2>That's true. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, I will say about Ted. Dialogue in that game <v Speaker 5>kind of sucks. It's every single joke was one beat <v Speaker 5>too far. Just one gets a little annoying after a while. <v Speaker 4>Turned off the commentary for a game or two, and <v Speaker 4>it's just way too quiet exactly. <v Speaker 2>And that's the awkward thing is like you kind of <v Speaker 2>need it, but it's also like it's a little extra, <v Speaker 2>you know what, Ted hag for a bit. Yeah, he's <v Speaker 2>kind of cool though, so yeah he r f K <v Speaker 2>robot you. <v Speaker 9>I like him. I loved him. He's like very much <v Speaker 9>a robot character in a video game where he's like <v Speaker 9>I am. He's basically like your loyal dog, right, He's <v Speaker 9>like the most loyal through a wall for you. I'll <v Speaker 9>sacrifice myself for you. <v Speaker 2>Everyone does this later in the game. Because I have <v Speaker 2>even seen this guy, I remember, Yeah, okay. <v Speaker 5>I like Nora more because I think it's a cute <v Speaker 5>dynamic between her and like Samus is like just this <v Speaker 5>cool person who's standing there, like this lady's hugging me, <v Speaker 5>like I'll patch on the back twice and then like <v Speaker 5>all right, yeah it's fine. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. They haven't they have a kind of <v Speaker 2>non it's not exactly. <v Speaker 9>Not, it's very much like, yeah, like when you get <v Speaker 9>to the point later after all of that stuff happened <v Speaker 9>where she's like fangirling out, then it's like, all right, <v Speaker 9>we're just gonna play the game. And they're kind of <v Speaker 9>following you, and you get to one of those two <v Speaker 9>person doors and you go to open the door and <v Speaker 9>she's like, you know, boss. <v Speaker 2>Let me do it. <v Speaker 9>He kind of goes up and does it, and you <v Speaker 9>can tell she's like super disappointed, and it's like they <v Speaker 9>kind of kept the characterization going in a way that <v Speaker 9>I thought it was really true. <v Speaker 2>I will say also the I forget his name, but <v Speaker 2>the Sniper to something like that. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, I think he's really strong too, except his dialogue <v Speaker 5>comes through an optional stuff and I think his mainline <v Speaker 5>stuff isn't quite as good. <v Speaker 4>So when you find him like out in the Overworld. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, then you. <v Speaker 5>Said when you were talking about that, the troopers are <v Speaker 5>good Metroight Prime for because they they sort of like, <v Speaker 5>you know, bring out Samus's like coolness and like them <v Speaker 5>bouncing off of her. I know you guys said this <v Speaker 5>in quick look too, like just them bouncing off of <v Speaker 5>her brings out Sam's personality without Sam is saying a <v Speaker 5>single word, which I think is awesome. And I do <v Speaker 5>think Nora and View both do that in different ways, <v Speaker 5>like View makes Samus look cool, and then Nora sort <v Speaker 5>of like shows Sam says humanity a little bit too. <v Speaker 2>I would we can cut View and keep interesting. <v Speaker 4>That everyone was shitting their parents about Medford Prime characters <v Speaker 4>this year, and we have several on Best New. <v Speaker 2>Carol like any of them. <v Speaker 9>I like all of them. They might grow again. I'm <v Speaker 9>not done yet, Mabe. <v Speaker 2>They'll grow on me, but none of them have moved <v Speaker 2>me yet. Okay, in your pants love it. <v Speaker 6>I think I would propose to cut al Zara, but <v Speaker 6>I just want to just want to talk about Alzara quick. <v Speaker 6>And the It's like the fortune telling machine in one <v Speaker 6>of the rooms and you go in and he like <v Speaker 6>spews the most cryptic bullshit and it's like very spooky <v Speaker 6>and foreboding and it adds like this whole layer to <v Speaker 6>the game. Yeah it's the only Yeah, and spoilers like <v Speaker 6>he's full of shit, but it doesn't really matter too much, <v Speaker 6>but it's still just like adds to the vibe where like, yeah, <v Speaker 6>it's a very lonely experience and then he is He's there, <v Speaker 6>so yeah, we can totally cut him. But I think <v Speaker 6>it's super Maybe. <v Speaker 8>It would have been like a cool moment because I <v Speaker 8>love the moment of seracgic for Sara. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, as a character, it's not that much, uh, Cider. <v Speaker 4>I in our test runs we've done to that game <v Speaker 4>of Solon, we haven't played as her. <v Speaker 9>I definitely am not. I thought you did once. Maybe <v Speaker 9>I might have tried. I've heard great things about that character, <v Speaker 9>but I've not played assassinyone. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, this is the one with like the extendo arm. <v Speaker 2>I put Cider on this list, but when I think <v Speaker 2>of best new character, it's kind of like an all <v Speaker 2>encompassing thing rather than just they control. Really yeah, because <v Speaker 2>then that's more just gameplaying mechanics than anything. <v Speaker 9>Sure you look for more of a John minds eye, <v Speaker 9>Yeah yeah, John, But I will say I I've played <v Speaker 9>a lot of Shnoby this year, but I still think <v Speaker 9>playing a Cider and Absolom. <v Speaker 2>Was the coolest I've fucking felt a game this year. Interesting, <v Speaker 2>like that game, John Mindsy, Are we okay to cut. <v Speaker 5>O? <v Speaker 2>Boy? Shall we? Shall? <v Speaker 9>We put the clare up? Scares against each. <v Speaker 2>It's Monoco but is great for sure. <v Speaker 3>Unoko is involved in the funniest line of dog in <v Speaker 3>the entire year. <v Speaker 2>It's when. <v Speaker 3>Ben starrs guy is like Versuss like like join us, <v Speaker 3>and he's like absolutely not. <v Speaker 2>Monoca's like absolutely not. I will never join you in <v Speaker 2>a ever again. <v Speaker 3>I don't trust you. And then Versus like there's gonna <v Speaker 3>be fighting. He's like okay, and then he's a captain caveman, <v Speaker 3>son of a bitch. I love Monoco. <v Speaker 9>I run with him on my team full time. <v Speaker 8>Yeah, he's what the thing is, you kind of have <v Speaker 8>to It's it's all or nothing because the way he <v Speaker 8>gets his abilities to people in your party, you don't <v Speaker 8>get him in your party, kind of fall behind with him, <v Speaker 8>and he's not really much you So like I liked him, <v Speaker 8>but he wasn't in my party much. He kind of <v Speaker 8>disappears into the background when like a lot of big <v Speaker 8>story events are happening. <v Speaker 2>He doesn't have a face. So speaking of the where. <v Speaker 6>There's the boss fight where like the boss is putting <v Speaker 6>masks on all the characters, right, yeah, it's a full <v Speaker 6>cut scene and then you know he has that piece <v Speaker 6>of wood over his face, so the masks are hitting <v Speaker 6>all the n PCs and. <v Speaker 2>Hot Dog lots of funny. I like him, I like <v Speaker 2>for sure, but sk A is just every time was <v Speaker 2>on the screen said. <v Speaker 4>Where he's got the fun like once you can take <v Speaker 4>more on the overworld. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we're gonna wine. <v Speaker 7>Know. <v Speaker 2>That's the other thing. He's full of wine, like literally <v Speaker 2>the most French thing, the frenchest thing you can make <v Speaker 2>a character. PI full of wine. <v Speaker 5>The fact that he's secretly the strongest thing in the <v Speaker 5>universe and he just chooses. <v Speaker 2>He's very bamax coated as well, that super maxie. Yeah <v Speaker 2>he's a good boy. Well then can we hit the <v Speaker 2>Dispatch characters against one another. Let's do it. Okay, Beef <v Speaker 2>is awesome. No, it was better because of how much <v Speaker 2>Chase loves Beef. Chase is the better character here. He's <v Speaker 2>just a dog. And I know that because Chase told me. <v Speaker 6>I think Chase is one of the best Jeffrey Wright performances. <v Speaker 2>Ciod, that's crazy, that bro, I hate that. You're right, <v Speaker 2>Chase elevates, keep up, Yeah you stand where he stood? <v Speaker 2>Uh is like the little bug that's like constantly clapping <v Speaker 2>thinking that very faithful. <v Speaker 8>So much the introduction to the character was so freaking funny. <v Speaker 8>You see them behind like the gate, like just wailing around. <v Speaker 7>Ha ha ha. <v Speaker 8>You open the door and then they're like, isn't that <v Speaker 8>wonderful that praying works. Here's how much I love that character. <v Speaker 9>In that moment when I realized the door was opening <v Speaker 9>and Sherman was on the other side, I quickly before <v Speaker 9>the door got opened in it and Sherma saw me <v Speaker 9>was like, I have to keep the illusion for him. <v Speaker 9>So I jumped up through the roof and came out <v Speaker 9>behind them, And that's the first time I talked to them. <v Speaker 9>I wanted to like buy into this reality where Sherman <v Speaker 9>could just continue to believe because. <v Speaker 8>It's like, oh, this is right, Sherman, and they kind <v Speaker 8>of they remained pleasant for so long, so long they <v Speaker 8>really do believe, like my faith is getting me through this. <v Speaker 8>It's clearly our intervention mixed with dumb luck and that <v Speaker 8>realization that kind of eventually overcomes the casser and there <v Speaker 8>is this growth of like, Okay, maybe it's actually more <v Speaker 8>important that I just help people instead, and. <v Speaker 2>Pained Sherma is about it, but like still I kind <v Speaker 2>of still there's that goodness that was there the whole time. Gosh, yeah, Lise, <v Speaker 2>how do we feel about MOLINAI I love she's awesome. <v Speaker 9>I think Molinoy is gonna have hard time keeping up <v Speaker 9>with the rest of this list though, yeah, yeah, I mean, <v Speaker 9>I think most of the rest of the list is <v Speaker 9>going to have a hard time with the three we've <v Speaker 9>talked about, and there's a couple probably still are going <v Speaker 9>to get killed. <v Speaker 2>I think I will cut ted. <v Speaker 6>Is such a fresh take on a protagonist character and <v Speaker 6>like a big departure from Zagrias, and I really like <v Speaker 6>how she I don't know, I always I kept waiting <v Speaker 6>for this like turn where you know, she's like this disciplined, <v Speaker 6>trained person in this essentially Covin, and I kept waiting <v Speaker 6>for like a turn where like, actually this is all bad. <v Speaker 6>But no, she's just like a dutiful, understated person that <v Speaker 6>is like helping doing her like duty and what she <v Speaker 6>really believes in. I really like the character. We could <v Speaker 6>totally cut her. <v Speaker 8>I think she's from like I said, Zagaris is kind <v Speaker 8>of flippant. She's like taking everything very serious. <v Speaker 5>Is one of the reasons I didn't like Haities one <v Speaker 5>is because I thought, no, this guy kind of sucks <v Speaker 5>well in way, I will say, I think she because <v Speaker 5>of what you just mentioned, makes her like, Yeah, this <v Speaker 5>is a character I want to like, you know, support <v Speaker 5>and every thing. Like I'm glad she's my main character. <v Speaker 5>Do you think it makes her a bit vanilla? Because <v Speaker 5>ultimately she kind of is just the ideal hero. Even <v Speaker 5>if her backstory is interesting, I think maybe it doesn't <v Speaker 5>lead to a ton of interesting moments, you know. Yeah, <v Speaker 5>to echo off your point, Sean, I think I wind <v Speaker 5>up remembering more of the supporting cast around Milina Way <v Speaker 5>based off of how much she props them up versus <v Speaker 5>anything substantial that Milina Way herself is doing as like <v Speaker 5>a big character. <v Speaker 2>Anything I like. You know, I like a lot of <v Speaker 2>supporting casts. <v Speaker 9>Wouldn't like substitute any of them either. <v Speaker 2>It's like a good overall caste. But I don't think <v Speaker 2>there's like some big standout among them personally. <v Speaker 6>I just really liked she was very self assured, and <v Speaker 6>I liked it was like a fresh thing. I'm going <v Speaker 6>to cut Milano, that's fair. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we can probably cut Poppy Kong. I don't know. <v Speaker 5>I put her on a list because I think she's <v Speaker 5>legitimately like a kind of cool character. The way that <v Speaker 5>you fight her, you think, oh, she's one of the <v Speaker 5>big bads, and that's like, nah, dude, I'm working overtime. <v Speaker 6>What is the gorilla's name? Like the bad like that <v Speaker 6>guy I don't remember, a grumpy Kong. <v Speaker 2>No, that sounds. <v Speaker 6>He was really fun too. I really I was surprised <v Speaker 6>by those characters. I was like, I'm not gonna like them. <v Speaker 6>They're going to know me. I'm like, no, b. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, I don't think she hangs with the rest of them. Yeah, <v Speaker 5>doll Man Bold, oh super bold. What's the keyboard time? <v Speaker 6>Yeah, I mean it's a he gets a little like, <v Speaker 6>now I'm going to exposit the plata to you, and <v Speaker 6>it's like, okay, but you know, but he's just the design. <v Speaker 4>Is the way he looks, the way he's animated, the voice, <v Speaker 4>and also tonally, I think it helps so much to <v Speaker 4>like there's just one character in this game that like, <v Speaker 4>you know. That's one of the reasons I like Destranding <v Speaker 4>two more than one is tonally, there's more variety. It's <v Speaker 4>not just a bunch of people crying and talking about <v Speaker 4>whatever they talk about in that what's what's the animranding? <v Speaker 2>What's death stranding about him. You tell us, dude, you're <v Speaker 2>the defender, the story guy. <v Speaker 4>What that was that game about? <v Speaker 2>It's about being stranded and the death apocalypses. <v Speaker 4>Anyway, everyone's crying and it's all serious. But then like <v Speaker 4>doll Man adds levity too. But does he have a <v Speaker 4>hot and or a car? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 6>Well, actually that's the problem. He got separated and he's <v Speaker 6>now inhabiting in this puppet because his separated from the. <v Speaker 2>Car that died. I don't know, I don't remember. <v Speaker 4>How was the spirit of the man and went. <v Speaker 2>Into the Is he like a Disney princess sidekick? <v Speaker 9>What does that mean? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? Yeah? Like is he like an a poo liked warhead? <v Speaker 2>Is he like Eddie Murphy and tro. <v Speaker 6>He's not. <v Speaker 2>He's not like a No, he's I would like it <v Speaker 2>if he was. He use references. I know. He's more <v Speaker 2>of a mooshoe in Mulan right. Uh funny. <v Speaker 6>He's like a therapist and in a literal sense like Jimmy. <v Speaker 4>He's the guy when you go you go back to <v Speaker 4>your room at night, and he's the one like, hey, Sam, <v Speaker 4>that was a day yea literally character? <v Speaker 2>Okay? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, Like normally I I skip all dialogue with it <v Speaker 4>and don't skip. But like my brain doesn't lock into <v Speaker 4>any dialogue and games. But with doll Man, every time <v Speaker 4>there's a little exclamation point next him, it's like I'm <v Speaker 4>listening to every fucking word you have to say. <v Speaker 2>He does do a little dance number in the well. Yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's like don't when you Oh. <v Speaker 4>The K pop thing is incredible. Yeah, that one's really <v Speaker 4>good too. <v Speaker 2>No, he's fantastic. To ghost of yote Am, I the <v Speaker 2>only one that really played a lot of this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's crazy. I can't speak. <v Speaker 4>I want to feel bad about it, and I don't <v Speaker 4>think I'm like because again not being the story guy <v Speaker 4>or whatever, it's just like okay, to me, this is <v Speaker 4>a kill Bill story. She's basically like The Bride, where <v Speaker 4>it's just like, okay, family dies, go kill all the guys. <v Speaker 4>And the presentation of the character is very cool. She's <v Speaker 4>just very badass where it's like you'll be riding a <v Speaker 4>horse through the woods and you know, three bounty hunters <v Speaker 4>will like, oh, it's gonna be there. She is, We're <v Speaker 4>gonna get our easy bounty. And then she is just <v Speaker 4>stoic and cool as hell, and you'll just slaughter them, <v Speaker 4>chop off their arms and heads and everything, and it's <v Speaker 4>a She's just a cool, badass character. I don't I'm <v Speaker 4>not really paying too much attention to the story. So <v Speaker 4>if I'm the only one that played it, I'm not. <v Speaker 2>Gonna be over on there. The rest of us can <v Speaker 2>prop her up in a substantial way. I like playing <v Speaker 2>as her a lot. Yeah, but fantastic voice performance from <v Speaker 2>the parts I have played, though Erica is she Yeah, <v Speaker 2>all right. The other one that is on the precipice <v Speaker 2>of being cut is Nora Armstrong. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, she can be cut because I'm even you know, <v Speaker 5>I added her and looking at the list and what <v Speaker 5>people hold did, Yeah, there's I see two characters I <v Speaker 5>like better already. It's a this year had a tongue <v Speaker 5>great characters, like, you know, if anything, we could have <v Speaker 5>put the whole cast of Expedition thirty three, the whole <v Speaker 5>cast of Dispatch, like, there are some great characters this year, <v Speaker 5>and yeah, just not up for him, I'll say. <v Speaker 9>For Armstrong, the one thing, it's like she just doesn't <v Speaker 9>get enough time. A lot of these other characters get <v Speaker 9>a whole chance for like a whole arc. She gets <v Speaker 9>quite a bit of interaction with Samus, but a lot <v Speaker 9>of these other ones, like I know where they're coming from, <v Speaker 9>where they're going, why they changed, and she just doesn't <v Speaker 9>have as much of that. <v Speaker 2>That's all. So the four that we have boulded right <v Speaker 2>now is Skia, Chase, Sherma, and Dollman. We now need <v Speaker 2>to get this down to three. Actually, so I'll say <v Speaker 2>this about so this is like more of a commentary <v Speaker 2>on holiday and Holiday silk Song. But I have a <v Speaker 2>harder time getting attached to the characters in those worlds. <v Speaker 6>I don't like bugs. Yeah, it's not the bugs, it's <v Speaker 6>the way theys. It's the way you interact with NPCs <v Speaker 6>in that game. It's very dark souls right where you <v Speaker 6>will bump into them, have a conversation, move on, and that. <v Speaker 9>Kind of like that that makes me more connected to <v Speaker 9>him because it's like I'm out here, like like grinding <v Speaker 9>on my own out in this world. And then you <v Speaker 9>get to a little town and there's these little fragile <v Speaker 9>creatures that like are existing in the same world. And <v Speaker 9>Sherman's whole thing is you do see him? Is it <v Speaker 9>a little boy, a little girl? I can't remember you <v Speaker 9>see Sherma, like early on at this like one gate <v Speaker 9>and then then later it's just more and more harrowing <v Speaker 9>spots for this little creature to still be in and <v Speaker 9>like having their journey echo mine and be like I'm <v Speaker 9>this big tough thing that survived. And seeing this little <v Speaker 9>thing over here and like getting insights from them as <v Speaker 9>they sort of reflect on like what what this has <v Speaker 9>done to them and how it's changed them was really <v Speaker 9>affecting for me. <v Speaker 8>Yeah, It's it's kind of like a fun surprise, right <v Speaker 8>because you know, you're there's so much to explore that world, <v Speaker 8>and sometimes you're finding upgrades so you start fresh, and <v Speaker 8>sometimes you're just finding these characters. And it was like <v Speaker 8>some of my favorite moments instead of getting some you know, <v Speaker 8>new item or power up, is like, oh there's Sherma again. <v Speaker 2>Awesome. What are you doing now? Oh you're in a <v Speaker 2>hot tub. That's great. <v Speaker 4>I mean, I'll say that having played all these games <v Speaker 4>except for Dispatch, despite not being a story guy, I <v Speaker 4>loved the characters of Dolmi and Ska. I remember so many, <v Speaker 4>you know, lines and moments with them. I played fifty <v Speaker 4>hours a soak song. I don't really remember Sherma or <v Speaker 4>any moments with this character or what they look like <v Speaker 4>or any. <v Speaker 2>Also, don't talk to any characters in Hades two. <v Speaker 4>No, I talked to them all, you know, don't just <v Speaker 4>through it. Yeah, Like that's why I'm saying, like doll <v Speaker 4>Man and Eski for them to actually like stick with <v Speaker 4>me and I enjoy talking to them and looking forward <v Speaker 4>to there's a lot more. <v Speaker 2>Scream time than does. For Sure, I definitely think doll <v Speaker 2>Man and Ska are locks for the top three. I <v Speaker 2>think right now the Chase is felt. I think, no, <v Speaker 2>that's not true. K for sure is a lock. <v Speaker 9>I think is our only luck. <v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, I would nominate Chase for the second one. Same, <v Speaker 2>I think. I think you're probably right. <v Speaker 5>I think Chase is sort of the glue that holds <v Speaker 5>Dispatch together. Like I think so much of what that <v Speaker 5>team is, what who those characters are. They don't come <v Speaker 5>together because of Robert, they don't come together because of Blazer. <v Speaker 5>Something about the way Chase interacts with everyone that game, <v Speaker 5>positively and negatively is sort of what brings it all <v Speaker 5>together thematically, even if he's not in a interacting with <v Speaker 5>every character, because the way he impacts everyone else is like, <v Speaker 5>you know, there's moments in that game. There's multiple moments <v Speaker 5>in that game with Chase where it's like, oh, yeah, <v Speaker 5>you you did this. Holy shit, this story would be <v Speaker 5>so different if you were not here. He's the emotional <v Speaker 5>consequences in the game. <v Speaker 2>Right yeah. <v Speaker 9>I think all the other characters see themselves in Chase <v Speaker 9>because he's the one that he used to be a <v Speaker 9>superhero and now he's not anymore, and he's wrestled with that. <v Speaker 9>He kind of gives them this hope that there's like <v Speaker 9>if I wasn't this anymore, what would I be able <v Speaker 9>to Like he's figured it out, It's and and you <v Speaker 9>know he still has that same sweat or he still had, <v Speaker 9>Like he's still clearly always who he's been. Yeah, and <v Speaker 9>like seeing him like being able to like represent that <v Speaker 9>and model that behavior for the other characters, right was. Yeah, <v Speaker 9>we don't see a lot of that in games. <v Speaker 2>Geniusly written character Yeah. Yeah. I think out of all <v Speaker 2>of these remaining people we have highlighted here, I think <v Speaker 2>I felt the most attached, like human to human through <v Speaker 2>Chase because when there's that little flashback moment that happens <v Speaker 2>in one of the episodes I Forget, which it took <v Speaker 2>me a second to Don that that was just a <v Speaker 2>younger Chase. Yeah, and then just seeing like, oh, this <v Speaker 2>is this is you before you knew the consequences of <v Speaker 2>all the things you were doing. And then like even <v Speaker 2>then and that's those small moments I felt concerned about him, <v Speaker 2>knowing where he winds up. And then we'll get to <v Speaker 2>it later. But there's a very intense moment which Chase <v Speaker 2>further into the game. So I think Ski and Chase <v Speaker 2>are the hard locks here. What's the name of your <v Speaker 2>character in Hollow Night Silk Song? <v Speaker 9>Hornet? The thing about Hornet is she doesn't change. She <v Speaker 9>starts off super strong and and like, is this capable <v Speaker 9>thing at the beginning? Is a capable thing at the end, <v Speaker 9>and so you kind of need Sherma as this like <v Speaker 9>thing to like sort of reflect what has happened in <v Speaker 9>this world. I it's not as much screen time as <v Speaker 9>some of these other characters, and it's like, I don't <v Speaker 9>this is not most new characters. So it's like, I <v Speaker 9>don't know if I feel great about that being the reason. <v Speaker 9>I just Surma is so well done. But does she <v Speaker 9>like does she where you like level up anything? Like, <v Speaker 9>I don't know, mus I must have encountered his character <v Speaker 9>in fifty hours and yeah, but what does she do? <v Speaker 9>It's not something she does, She's a character the world <v Speaker 9>that happens to her. <v Speaker 5>I have a genuine question as someone who like if <v Speaker 5>we're designed between Sherman Dolman, Silk Song and Destriating two <v Speaker 5>are both just not my thing. I have no skin <v Speaker 5>in the game here, Dan, This in oz question because <v Speaker 5>I don't know the answer here. Do you think you <v Speaker 5>feel about Dollman as a sort of like a marking <v Speaker 5>out for the weirdness and like the cool tech that's <v Speaker 5>put into the character or does he add a lot <v Speaker 5>as the character. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 4>I think he adds a ton to the game. Like <v Speaker 4>I don't think he is like he's not like the <v Speaker 4>lynch pin of the story or anything like that. But <v Speaker 4>he is the person that, like, you know, when you <v Speaker 4>retire for the night and you go down and you <v Speaker 4>talk to him, he's the one that like kind of <v Speaker 4>reminds you what's going on, and every once in a <v Speaker 4>while will have this totally non sequitary thing like the <v Speaker 4>dancing thing, and so like there's a lot of humor there. <v Speaker 4>There's a lot of just kind of like almost mirth <v Speaker 4>and friendliness from him that you don't get from any <v Speaker 4>other characters. There is also like gameplay implications too, like <v Speaker 4>you know, you can do things where you throw them <v Speaker 4>up in the airb of a bay and he will <v Speaker 4>like tag enemies and stuff like that. <v Speaker 2>He'll we do we did hate that in Assassin's Creed <v Speaker 2>after a while, right, But it's like frame completely differently <v Speaker 2>because like versus a bird, it's like, yeah, he's a little. <v Speaker 5>Even him saying that again, I've never seen that before. <v Speaker 5>That sounds pretty funny, just like how are we going <v Speaker 5>to tag everyone this? <v Speaker 4>Yeah, dude, And he's so likable And as soon as <v Speaker 4>he comes back, like you pull him back like a boomer, <v Speaker 4>He's like, how did I do? <v Speaker 2>You can throw him at enemies too, can't you? I <v Speaker 2>never I feel like I'm directly at a guy. I <v Speaker 2>also thought it was funny anytime I saw him chilling <v Speaker 2>on the Lea s Hidoo's character's shoulder as she had <v Speaker 2>her hand gloves. <v Speaker 4>I like it when like you go into the main <v Speaker 4>bridge and stuff and he's just like pops down from <v Speaker 4>some pipes, just hanging from. <v Speaker 2>Up there, Like what about Chase Sherman and doll Man, No, <v Speaker 2>is awesome. <v Speaker 6>So I really like dall Man. I bought alongside Dan <v Speaker 6>for doll Man to be bolded. I would be in <v Speaker 6>favor of dropping doll Man, if only because it's it's <v Speaker 6>got some of that Hideo orange Ball like, whereas these <v Speaker 6>other characters are written so authentically and like are easier <v Speaker 6>to connect to form me. Doll Man's like a side <v Speaker 6>show piece in a very side show game. <v Speaker 4>But if you don't connect to characters ever, and you <v Speaker 4>like a day Kajima bullshit, that's why I want to <v Speaker 4>keep them. <v Speaker 2>I think that's why I feel a little bit stronger <v Speaker 2>towards dol Man is because of dol Man's ability to <v Speaker 2>entice Dan until like participating honestly, you can be human. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, but Dollman is definitely my number one. <v Speaker 9>I liked a lot of what I saw Dollman whenever <v Speaker 9>I would. <v Speaker 2>Maybe Chase swears too much. I'm joking. I'm not feeling <v Speaker 2>the tide with us here, Jeff, I'm. <v Speaker 4>Not feeling sure more considering I played the ship out <v Speaker 4>of the game. I don't even. <v Speaker 9>Remember at all. <v Speaker 4>But you know, then, why do I remember? <v Speaker 9>Because they talk, they have a voice to lines, and <v Speaker 9>you used all Man to do stuff in the game. <v Speaker 2>That's what you said, Like, what do they do like <v Speaker 2>they served for I guess sk does have gameplay implications, <v Speaker 2>like they were. <v Speaker 9>Mechanics that you could use, and then they have voices <v Speaker 9>to them. It's easier to remember, I'm not. <v Speaker 5>I also think like Sherma isn't what you were looking <v Speaker 5>for in that game, whereas that maybe is more the <v Speaker 5>kind of thing they were When she was on the. <v Speaker 2>Screen, I was like, I can't wait the next time. <v Speaker 9>I would rather give Sherma hugged than even SKA. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think it's physically impossible to hug probably, but <v Speaker 3>you want to a bug. <v Speaker 2>Child's But. <v Speaker 6>I would fall in favor of the Sherman argument. I'm <v Speaker 6>liking what I'm hearing. Sorry, does have little bells? <v Speaker 2>That little bells are so cute? So comes she comes <v Speaker 2>to a city. <v Speaker 3>Leader to think we just bring Monoco back into the. <v Speaker 2>What about feet? <v Speaker 9>Though? <v Speaker 2>What about what about the robot that sounds like a junior? <v Speaker 6>If this category was most interesting character design, I would <v Speaker 6>be like Dolman's probably winning. <v Speaker 5>But do the rest of us who aren't really weighing in? <v Speaker 5>I guess it's amaze as me and Backler are not <v Speaker 5>super waging in. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I just don't have I mean, I like Chase, <v Speaker 2>I like I don't really have out of. <v Speaker 5>The arguments that are being made. Do you are you <v Speaker 5>swayed in either way for Sma or Dolmen. <v Speaker 3>I think it's I think I'm familiar with Shurma. I <v Speaker 3>played some Silk Song, I'm familiar with her introduction. I'm <v Speaker 3>just yeah, yeah, I don't know. I don't think I <v Speaker 3>should have a deciding. <v Speaker 4>That's kind of where I'm Do you remember how you <v Speaker 4>reacted when you first saw doll Man asking for ruppies. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, uppies in the dance number and everything, I mean, <v Speaker 2>everything that they do with doll Man is just I <v Speaker 2>really don't want to cut. I don't very strong characters <v Speaker 2>in art. Yeah, if we've had our first slight roadblock here, <v Speaker 2>I could go either way. But yeah, I I bounced <v Speaker 2>off of Silk Song because I'm just not good at games. <v Speaker 2>And then Death Training two is just was obscenely long. <v Speaker 2>But I based off of early conversations with Dan about <v Speaker 2>Death Training two, I felt like I had to fast <v Speaker 2>track my way to be trying to see as much <v Speaker 2>domain as possible. <v Speaker 9>I mean, Dolmen's really fun like that's the thing about Domen. <v Speaker 2>Maybe SK is overrated. Okay, that's not a crazy statement, <v Speaker 2>it's a little bit. I mean, Ska is. <v Speaker 9>Also a lot of fun ESK and Dolmen are very similar, <v Speaker 9>and SK. <v Speaker 4>Is like just ridiculous, Like wow, he's filled with wine <v Speaker 4>and stuff like that. Just Dollmin does do it better. <v Speaker 4>And like, those are my two favorites in this category. <v Speaker 4>I would say cut SK if that means keep domant. <v Speaker 2>You know what, if we're talking about everyone from claibscure, <v Speaker 2>SK is not my favorite. <v Speaker 6>My favorite Ska is like so spoilers for Exhibition thirty three. <v Speaker 6>Ska is a created designed play partner by the creator <v Speaker 6>of that world. So it's sort of designed to fill <v Speaker 6>this role in the character's life and to be enjoyed <v Speaker 6>in the way that we are enjoying the character, which <v Speaker 6>I means I think we cut. <v Speaker 5>It interesting, I would say the opsic because he was <v Speaker 5>literally designed to be a good character. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, fuck him, I mean, so why isn't he helping more? <v Speaker 2>He seems like, yeah, he's lazy, they say, and that <v Speaker 2>makes a good character. <v Speaker 12>That's pretty good he does, yeah, you know what, And <v Speaker 12>then like the thing that he has you get first <v Speaker 12>is my friend, and I'm like, like my friend Matthew <v Speaker 12>Rory on. <v Speaker 2>The floor, who is his angry friend. That's the best <v Speaker 2>character thing. <v Speaker 5>Ward, Okay, I will say I I like guess Gay <v Speaker 5>better than both those characters for the reasons that I stated. <v Speaker 5>But if I'm alone in that, I also I'm not <v Speaker 5>so like hard and fast and needs to stay if <v Speaker 5>the rest, if everyone else wants to cut him, I'll <v Speaker 5>say Chase is going fucking no, no, no no. As <v Speaker 5>well as we can all agree on that, I would <v Speaker 5>if a goes because you guys prefer the other two characters, <v Speaker 5>then I get that, uh hey, it was brutal. <v Speaker 2>It was brutal hard. This is really hard. I feel <v Speaker 2>like we're just I'm about to see my friend get <v Speaker 2>Garmage was a lock. <v Speaker 9>And then it's like we say our favorites like, sorry, <v Speaker 9>what's that behind the ship? <v Speaker 2>Understand?
