<v Speaker 1>Welcome to the WWE Podcast, your place for the most <v Speaker 1>passionate wrestling analysis on the web. <v Speaker 2>Just turn Roman Heel. What is WWE waiting for. <v Speaker 1>Another wrestling podcast? Put you to sleep? You can count <v Speaker 1>on the WWE Podcast to get you engaged and asking <v Speaker 1>for more. <v Speaker 2>I've been watching wrestling for over twenty years and that <v Speaker 2>was one of the best matches I've ever seen. <v Speaker 1>This is unlike any other wrestling analysis. So without any <v Speaker 1>further delay, let's get this show started right now. <v Speaker 2>All right, welcome to the WWE Podcast on this Wednesday, <v Speaker 2>January eighth, twenty twenty. Thank you guys for joining me <v Speaker 2>tonight and Ashley Man's back. So we are going to <v Speaker 2>get into the discussion all about the Royal Rumble and <v Speaker 2>the current product and where things could go and what <v Speaker 2>possible huge returns are on the horizon, including the ones <v Speaker 2>that have been just circulating around the dirt sheets of <v Speaker 2>Edge's return at the Royal Rumble. See I'm punk is <v Speaker 2>he even a remote possibility? So many different things that <v Speaker 2>are happening. What does it mean that brock Lesner is <v Speaker 2>entering at number one? And what would it mean if <v Speaker 2>he won? So we cover all the bases here and <v Speaker 2>I know that you guys have been asking where Ashley is, <v Speaker 2>and she's here. She's here today and typically this is <v Speaker 2>my wrestling nostalgia, which I will push off until another day. <v Speaker 2>I promise I will get one in and it will <v Speaker 2>be something that is appropriate for Royal Rumble time. I'll <v Speaker 2>leave it at that. So again, guys, thank you for <v Speaker 2>joining me as we close in on the Royal Rumble <v Speaker 2>pay per view just eighteen days away. As I record <v Speaker 2>this show on a January eighth evening, so it's my <v Speaker 2>favorite pay per view of the year. Yeah, WrestleMania is <v Speaker 2>in some ways because it's the biggest, but it's also <v Speaker 2>the longest, which is not my favorite thing in the world. <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania is a damn marathon. It will challenge any pro <v Speaker 2>wrestling fan, no matter how hardcore, ardent or a bit <v Speaker 2>as big of a mark as you think you are <v Speaker 2>for the business. The fact of the matter is WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>is a damn marathon, and especially for those in person, <v Speaker 2>it's challenging to bladders, it's challenging to patience, it's challenging <v Speaker 2>to keep your body awake. I actually fell asleep during <v Speaker 2>the main event of WrestleMania last year. I'm not ashamed <v Speaker 2>to say that I fell asleep during the main event <v Speaker 2>of WrestleMania because by that time I'd been watching wrestling <v Speaker 2>for six hours and I just I could not just <v Speaker 2>physically keep my eyes open anymore, and I was completely <v Speaker 2>drained by the time the main event came around. And again, <v Speaker 2>I mean, that's why I love the Rumble because it's <v Speaker 2>not six hours. It's probably four, maybe a little over four. <v Speaker 2>But the format of the Wild Rumble is a damn <v Speaker 2>genius move I believe was invented by Pat Patterson, and <v Speaker 2>it is just I love the format. I love the unpredictability, <v Speaker 2>I love the what's next. I love who could come out? <v Speaker 2>So many different feuds within feuds and stories within stories <v Speaker 2>and alliances you don't expect to see, and rivalries that <v Speaker 2>are teased, and so many different awesome moments and who <v Speaker 2>gets eliminated and how does KOFE stay afloat this year? <v Speaker 2>And I mean, there's just again, there's so many mini <v Speaker 2>stories within this massive Royal Rumble match story that it's <v Speaker 2>it's one of my favorite times of the year, favorite <v Speaker 2>pay per view of the year. So I'm really excited <v Speaker 2>to have Ashley here, as we go over all the possibilities, <v Speaker 2>all the rumors, and things start to really really heat <v Speaker 2>up getting close or to WrestleMania, and this is the <v Speaker 2>time to be a fan. This is where non fans <v Speaker 2>come back. I've said that before, and this is where <v Speaker 2>true fans start to really dig in their heels and <v Speaker 2>create scenarios in what could happen, and we'll get big, <v Speaker 2>big hints. I'm sure for some of the matches at <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania at the Royal Rumble. Namely, I think, without giving <v Speaker 2>away too much of the farm here, that whoever Brock <v Speaker 2>Listener faces at WrestleMania will likely eliminate him from the <v Speaker 2>Royal Rumble. I do not believe Brock will win, So <v Speaker 2>I don't think I'm burying a lead too much there <v Speaker 2>because we have a lot of content to cover with <v Speaker 2>Ashley and you'll enjoy the conversation. But just off the bat, <v Speaker 2>I don't think Brock wins. Be a hell of an <v Speaker 2>interesting day at the office that he does, though, I <v Speaker 2>just don't see a scenario in which he does, and <v Speaker 2>which what makes sense either. But that's why this WrestleMania <v Speaker 2>or this Royal Romo match is so damn intriguing on <v Speaker 2>so many different levels. So we got a lot to <v Speaker 2>discuss with Ashley. We really run the gamut here. But <v Speaker 2>before we get to all that, I want to let <v Speaker 2>you know that on Patreon, I just launched my first <v Speaker 2>video podcast where I had a video stream running while <v Speaker 2>I recorded my Monday Night Raw review show last night. <v Speaker 2>So check that out at patreon dot com slash WWE <v Speaker 2>podcast if you want to check me out. And I <v Speaker 2>know that the video quality is is not awesome, so <v Speaker 2>I'm aware of that. I have a resolution coming. I used. <v Speaker 2>The reason is I use my laptop webcam. That was <v Speaker 2>a big mistake. I'll be using my iPhone eleven, which <v Speaker 2>has infinitely better quality in terms of the lighting and <v Speaker 2>the picture quality. So that will be now my camera <v Speaker 2>from now on, so video quality will improve. But video <v Speaker 2>is now there. Video is official on the Patreon feed, <v Speaker 2>which is only available there, and I'll be doing just <v Speaker 2>kind of drop in videos latest thoughts if there's some <v Speaker 2>news coming out about WWE or hirings, firings, returns, all <v Speaker 2>that kind of stuff, suspensions, all the stuff that makes <v Speaker 2>the wrestling community, the Internet Wrestling community, the IWC, the <v Speaker 2>smarks go crazy I'll be doing some random video thoughts <v Speaker 2>there as well, but again it's only for Patreon at <v Speaker 2>the time. At this time, head on over. You can <v Speaker 2>get yourself not just the video, but you can also <v Speaker 2>get yourself on the on the feed that gives you <v Speaker 2>an ad free experience for the entire library of this show. <v Speaker 2>The entire library is available on patreon dot com slash <v Speaker 2>WWE podcast where all of these programs, all of them <v Speaker 2>are one hundred percent ad free. So that's a really <v Speaker 2>cool deal. And it's only a dollar a month, which <v Speaker 2>breaks down to oh my god, what's a dollar divided <v Speaker 2>by thirty right, so pennies a day. So all right, <v Speaker 2>well guys, that's my plug. But I want to get <v Speaker 2>to the conversation with Ashley. It was just great to <v Speaker 2>be able to reunite with her, just crazy holidays and <v Speaker 2>personal lives going crazy, and hopefully things are now calming <v Speaker 2>down the holidays are over and finally able to connect <v Speaker 2>with Ashley. As I said, we originally scheduled for the <v Speaker 2>Saturday show to do the week in review. Mary stepped up, <v Speaker 2>which was awesome talking to her and Ashley, I said, <v Speaker 2>we got to have you on this week put her <v Speaker 2>on Wednesday, even though it's a wrestling nostalgia night, but we'll <v Speaker 2>sacrifice wrestling nostalgia night for Ashley. It was totally worth it. <v Speaker 2>So great to have her back on the show. I <v Speaker 2>know that the fans lover. The fans really love all <v Speaker 2>my co hosts. I mean, it's really a blessing to <v Speaker 2>have co hosts that all of the listeners love. So, guys, <v Speaker 2>thank you for all that. But Ashley's back. Let's just <v Speaker 2>get to it. Enough talk. Here's Ashley and myself discussing <v Speaker 2>all things Royal Rumble, rumors, everything else. Until then, guys, <v Speaker 2>as always, tomorrow, I'll be back with your NXT and <v Speaker 2>ae W well AW is probably going to be on tomorrow. <v Speaker 2>NXT will be on Friday as your co host Chris <v Speaker 2>and Zach cover those, and I'll be back Saturday with <v Speaker 2>your weekend review. <v Speaker 3>Guys. <v Speaker 2>Until then, I'll talk to you next time. Okay, she's back. <v Speaker 2>Ashley Man is back, guys. She is here to discuss <v Speaker 2>with me Royal Rumble. It is the Rumble season. We <v Speaker 2>are eighteen days away from the Royal Rumble, my favorite <v Speaker 2>pay per view of the year, Yes, more so than <v Speaker 2>the WrestleMania because of the insane length that WrestleMania is <v Speaker 2>and I'm excited to talk rumble. Ashley. It's really great <v Speaker 2>to have you back on the show. I know people <v Speaker 2>have been asking where you are and I found you. <v Speaker 3>Yes, you found me. I'm so happy to be back. <v Speaker 3>Thank you for being so patient. I'm you and everyone. <v Speaker 3>I'm so happy to be back and talking to you. <v Speaker 3>And yes, I agree with you. The Royal Rumble is <v Speaker 3>actually my favorite pay per view as well, just the <v Speaker 3>whole dynamic and just the whole concept which is always <v Speaker 3>so intriguing to me, and the fact that you never <v Speaker 3>know who's the next person out was just captivating to me. <v Speaker 3>So yeah, I'm super excited to be talking rumble and <v Speaker 3>brawl and smackdowand it's just everything that's been happening in <v Speaker 3>the past couple of weeks. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, there is a heck of a lot <v Speaker 2>going on, a ton of returns that happened over the <v Speaker 2>last week between Big Show, the USO, Seamous John Morrison, <v Speaker 2>and you go down the line of also rumored people <v Speaker 2>to be coming in the Rumble, which I'll get to <v Speaker 2>as well, and want your thoughts on, including Edge, which <v Speaker 2>is swirling around like mother efin crazy and I want <v Speaker 2>to ask your opinion on that as well. So first <v Speaker 2>I want to ask, Now, the Royal Rumble is only <v Speaker 2>eighteen days away, and we've timed this out. You will be, <v Speaker 2>of course the preview show prediction show for Royal Rumble, <v Speaker 2>just because the wrestling gods will have it no other way. <v Speaker 2>So you will be that the co host for that show. <v Speaker 2>So that's going to be really interesting as far as <v Speaker 2>what happens over the next two weeks if our predictions change. <v Speaker 2>And this isn't a prediction show by any means, but <v Speaker 2>as of right now, January eighth, if you were to <v Speaker 2>have to pick somebody, you have to pick somebody that <v Speaker 2>is going to win the Royal Rumble, who do you think? <v Speaker 2>I mean, there are some big, big front runners right <v Speaker 2>The odds on favorite is Roman Reigns. I mean, clearly <v Speaker 2>is the odds on favorite for a good reason. But <v Speaker 2>you have other people. You have you know, you have <v Speaker 2>Kevin Owens, you have Samoa Joe in there, you have <v Speaker 2>brock Lesser number one. I mean, there's a lot that <v Speaker 2>could happen. If you were to pick today, who would <v Speaker 2>you pick to win the Rumbles? <v Speaker 4>As much as I hate to say it. <v Speaker 3>I would have to choose Room and Rains right now, <v Speaker 3>and that's just purely because everything else is so up <v Speaker 3>in the air, and when we look at the two champions, <v Speaker 3>Room and Rains is the only one that could logically <v Speaker 3>face either one of them and right and it makes <v Speaker 3>the most sense out of anyone else that I can <v Speaker 3>think of, off hands, unless, of course, the title either <v Speaker 3>of the title changes hands before then. But assuming they're not, <v Speaker 3>assuming everything is how it is, let's say WrestleMania was <v Speaker 3>tomorrow and we had to make our predictions, I would <v Speaker 3>say Room and Rains would probably be facing the Fiend, <v Speaker 3>just because I think that would be if anything else, <v Speaker 3>they've learned not to go back to Room and Rains <v Speaker 3>and brock Lessner or I. <v Speaker 4>Hope, because I uh. <v Speaker 3>One of my other friends on my other show, he <v Speaker 3>said that if it ends up being remains in brock Lessner, <v Speaker 3>he will sell his WrestleMania ticket because he is not <v Speaker 3>going to support that, so and I believe him so <v Speaker 3>just and he's just one people, one person, so out <v Speaker 3>of many. <v Speaker 4>People's It's just I have a bad feeling. <v Speaker 3>There, Matt, that you know you could be going down <v Speaker 3>that route, but yes. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you know, I'm with you, and I'm asking myself <v Speaker 2>the same question about who I think could win the Rumble, <v Speaker 2>and there are some really good candidates. I named four <v Speaker 2>or five there, and if I'm going to pick one, <v Speaker 2>I mean the only reason I'm going to pick this <v Speaker 2>is because it's It's probably the second logical choice is <v Speaker 2>Kevin Owens winning the Royal Rombo match to face brock Lesner. <v Speaker 2>That is my pick. And the only reason that's my <v Speaker 2>pick is because I think that having Roman Reigns win <v Speaker 2>the Rumble would put a remind people why they disliked <v Speaker 2>Roman Reigns and would stir up issues and feelings from <v Speaker 2>five years ago at Philly in Philly and when they <v Speaker 2>trolled the fans the following year of making Roman Rains <v Speaker 2>number thirty and basically trying to anger the fans that <v Speaker 2>oh my god, he's gonna win again and just poking <v Speaker 2>the you know, poking the bear. But I think that <v Speaker 2>Roman Reigns will still get to the main event of WrestleMania. <v Speaker 2>Don't forget there's two roads. There's the person who wins <v Speaker 2>the Rumble, and then there's the person and the other <v Speaker 2>brand that has to branch their own story to get <v Speaker 2>to the main event of WrestleMania face the champion. So <v Speaker 2>I think having Roman Reigns not win and having him <v Speaker 2>go to WrestleMania a different way on SmackDown, by going <v Speaker 2>through a tournament or some other means, or maybe the <v Speaker 2>Fiend just flat out attacks him, and then you have <v Speaker 2>the Fiend versus Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, which is ultimately <v Speaker 2>where I think you're going. There is a I think <v Speaker 2>that's a safer road for the Roman Reigns babyface character <v Speaker 2>than to have him win the Rumble and stir up <v Speaker 2>those bad feelings of oh yeah, wait a minute, he's <v Speaker 2>not facing Baron Corbin anymore. He's going after the Fiend, <v Speaker 2>one of the most creative original characters w WE has <v Speaker 2>had in I don't know how long decades. <v Speaker 3>Right, yo, oh for sure, for sure, easily. <v Speaker 2>So that's my pick is Kevin Owens, because I think <v Speaker 2>that you'd never have a Rowan Reins brock Lesner match <v Speaker 2>at WrestleMania again, maybe not ever again with these two. <v Speaker 2>Ever have a one on one match. We've seen it, <v Speaker 2>my god, what was in twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen, we <v Speaker 2>saw it five times. I mean he's like in the <v Speaker 2>Saudi events. I mean, we saw it at SummerSlam, at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 2>We've seen at WrestleMania thirty one. I don't we don't <v Speaker 2>need it again, we just don't. So I agree, tell <v Speaker 2>your friend. If he doesn't sell it, I will sell <v Speaker 2>it for him if I mean, like, come on, so <v Speaker 2>all right, Well, so you heard it here first kind <v Speaker 2>of a very early prediction that you have Roman, I <v Speaker 2>have Kevin Owens. Now as far as kind of the <v Speaker 2>other things going on on the rumble, here you have <v Speaker 2>brock Lesnar entering himself at number one, not putting the <v Speaker 2>championship on the line, but putting himself number one and <v Speaker 2>doing it so that he can prove that he is <v Speaker 2>I don't know, the most physically dominating combat athlete WWE <v Speaker 2>has ever had. And not again, not putting the championship <v Speaker 2>on the line, but imagine if and again this is <v Speaker 2>not the odds on favorite, but it's in the universe <v Speaker 2>of possibility of brock Lesner winning it. Now take me <v Speaker 2>down that road. If rock Lesner wins, who does he <v Speaker 2>face brock Lesner or does he face uh, does he <v Speaker 2>face the fiend? You'd have to face the fiend unless <v Speaker 2>I mean, I don't know. I don't even know what <v Speaker 2>they would do if a champion wins the. <v Speaker 3>Rumble, And I think a little part of Vince is <v Speaker 3>so intrigued by that possibility that he may just it <v Speaker 3>may be one of those last minute decisions that we <v Speaker 3>so infamously hear about, you know, like the day of <v Speaker 3>and he may just pull the trigger and have Brocklin <v Speaker 3>Because then it it just leaves us with the whole <v Speaker 3>other question of what's brock gonna do next, who's gonna <v Speaker 3>he who's he gonna face on WrestleMania, what's gonna happen <v Speaker 3>on Raw? So it would force people to tune in <v Speaker 3>the very next night and the weeks to follow to <v Speaker 3>see how it plays out. So I could see that happening. <v Speaker 3>I mean, for nothing, I would be curious as well. <v Speaker 3>I honestly, I wasn't expecting this when Paul Hayman and <v Speaker 3>Brock the listeners showed up on RAW. So I'm very <v Speaker 3>intrigued to see what they end up doing with this <v Speaker 3>going forward. I'm trying to hold back judgment on it. <v Speaker 3>I wasn't really excited when I first heard it, but <v Speaker 3>after thinking about it a little bit further, I I'm <v Speaker 3>kind of interested to see how it plays out. Because <v Speaker 3>we already know brock is gonna interferce. Then of course <v Speaker 3>the next logical question is who's going. <v Speaker 4>To be second? <v Speaker 3>And I think it would be so fun to have <v Speaker 3>Matt Riddle come out as number two, just because of <v Speaker 3>controlling that he's been doing in the years, and why <v Speaker 3>not with NXC being so popular right now, so that <v Speaker 3>could just be something fun. But that just leads to <v Speaker 3>so many other scenarios and possibilities that you can have <v Speaker 3>play out in the Rumble itself. So I'm intrigued by this, <v Speaker 3>and not for nothing, Like, if you really think about it, <v Speaker 3>it's really smart on brock Lessner's part in Paul Haman <v Speaker 3>because he doesn't have to defend his title the Royal <v Speaker 3>Rumble and he has the possibility of winning the whole thing, <v Speaker 3>so that eliminates one, at least possibility of who one <v Speaker 3>other guy who would end up facing him at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 3>So it's actually kind of smart. You know, it's kind <v Speaker 3>of like a win win for him. So even if <v Speaker 3>he gets eliminated, so what, you know, Yeah, who cares? <v Speaker 2>He's got nothing to lose. He's guaranteed to go to <v Speaker 2>the main event of WrestleMania because it's championships not. <v Speaker 4>On the line. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and granted, like I'm sorry, whoever ends up eliminating, <v Speaker 3>I'm sure that's how they'll initiate that storyline, which I <v Speaker 3>would be fine with, but if he doesn't end up winning. <v Speaker 3>But yeah, you know, like Brock comes out great in <v Speaker 3>this scenario. <v Speaker 4>I think it really does. <v Speaker 2>And you know, he's not going to lose it at <v Speaker 2>Elimination Chamber or fast Lane or whatever pay per view <v Speaker 2>that they have those two pay per views in between <v Speaker 2>Rumble and Mania. No, the championship you know likely is <v Speaker 2>going to stay on Brock for the until Mania. So yeah, <v Speaker 2>this is a it's a house money match for Brock <v Speaker 2>because he has zero to lose and everything to gain. <v Speaker 2>And like you said, it's yes, Brock is number one, <v Speaker 2>but what's most intriguing is who's number two. As you said, <v Speaker 2>Matt Ridle is certainly interesting. Even if you had Roman <v Speaker 2>Reigns come out there and just kind of you know, <v Speaker 2>have them do a stalemate until number three, four, five, <v Speaker 2>and you stack up the guys until someone comes out <v Speaker 2>and does it, you know, clears the ring. Like maybe <v Speaker 2>big shows in there, he'll have a spot and then <v Speaker 2>get eliminated, or you know, what they'll do is build <v Speaker 2>up the ring until and then let braunz Stroman come <v Speaker 2>out and he'll clear the ring and it builds back up. <v Speaker 2>It's just this big cycle. And what I like too <v Speaker 2>with Brock in there, I think he will last quite <v Speaker 2>some time, maybe into the last five or six guys, <v Speaker 2>maybe the last three four guys, and just the scenarios <v Speaker 2>you could do with Brock with all those guys in <v Speaker 2>the ring is like you said, it's so damn intriguing. <v Speaker 2>Rather than just having him face somebody one on one, <v Speaker 2>it's Brock versus everybody. He's gonna last a long time, <v Speaker 2>the dynamics of who he's gonna interact with, who he <v Speaker 2>could have a face off with, just to see how <v Speaker 2>the crowd reacts when he goes face to face. As <v Speaker 2>you said with Matt Riddle, with Keith Lee, I mean, <v Speaker 2>there's guys that I would love to see him go <v Speaker 2>to face, go face to face. That's why the Rumbles <v Speaker 2>is so awesome because it creates rivalries that you don't <v Speaker 2>expect or are looking forward to. It creates alliances that <v Speaker 2>are unlikely. This the whole thing is genius, and you <v Speaker 2>never get bored during the rumble because by the time <v Speaker 2>you're getting a little bit bored, you see the countdown <v Speaker 2>clock and the people are you know what I mean. <v Speaker 2>It's an hour that goes by faster than any hour <v Speaker 2>you've ever had. <v Speaker 3>Oh easily, easily, And that's the whole fun. That's the <v Speaker 3>best part about it is wondering who the next person <v Speaker 3>is going to be, who's coming out. But the thing <v Speaker 3>that I'm kind of intrigued by is one I kind <v Speaker 3>of want to get your take on, is do you <v Speaker 3>think they're planning the seeds here for a rock baby <v Speaker 3>face turn or because in a way it's kind of <v Speaker 3>odd because he's stacking the odds against himself if you <v Speaker 3>kind of look at it in a certain way entering <v Speaker 3>I guess maybe not because he's not defending the title, <v Speaker 3>but still like he's putting himself in a situation where <v Speaker 3>he's facing twenty nine other opponents who all want to <v Speaker 3>come after him supposedly, So do you think there's maybe <v Speaker 3>he's being planning here or is just Hayman just coming <v Speaker 3>out here and just looking out for Brocken, not making <v Speaker 3>him defend the title. <v Speaker 2>So if you're gonna put me on the spot, I <v Speaker 2>will say I think this is probably not. And the <v Speaker 2>reason I think it's probably non planning seeds for a <v Speaker 2>babyface turn is you could also look at this. The <v Speaker 2>promo was directed towards arrogance. It was him feeling so <v Speaker 2>confident and so arrogant that he could just beat twenty <v Speaker 2>nine other guys. Rather than doing it out of respect, <v Speaker 2>it's done out of arrogance, and I think that's the <v Speaker 2>place that it came from. And Paul Haman said it's <v Speaker 2>like pretty much flat out that that is the reason <v Speaker 2>he's doing this. And he's not putting himself out there <v Speaker 2>to say, hey, who wants to step up and face <v Speaker 2>Brock for the championship. Brock is doing this in a <v Speaker 2>selfish way to prove that he's the man. So I <v Speaker 2>don't see that coming. On top of that, I think <v Speaker 2>that it's going to end up being Kevin Owens versus <v Speaker 2>Brock lessener at WrestleMania. That's my guess right now. And <v Speaker 2>so having a heel Brock lose to a babyface that's <v Speaker 2>up and coming like Kevin Owens makes more sense than <v Speaker 2>having brockco babyface and everyone hoping he retains the championship, <v Speaker 2>although that wouldn't work because everyone knows he's an absentee <v Speaker 2>champion anyway. So him as the absentee guy that doesn't <v Speaker 2>want to be there, perceived doesn't want to be there, <v Speaker 2>gets paid a bunch of money to make extremely limited appearances. <v Speaker 2>It all just fits right now for him to be <v Speaker 2>a heel. Although I still love brock Lesner, like I <v Speaker 2>look at him, and I still love the damn guy. <v Speaker 2>I know he's not there a lot. Yes, yes, I <v Speaker 2>don't think people understand or really just take into consideration <v Speaker 2>how special brock Lesner is. People look at him and <v Speaker 2>as it's Bros here, He's gonna stand there and Paul's <v Speaker 2>gonna cut a promo. But the guy brock Lesner's stardom <v Speaker 2>doesn't come along very often. I mean, he's a guy <v Speaker 2>that comes in once a generation. <v Speaker 4>You know exactly. <v Speaker 3>And brock Lesner is one of those guys. He kind <v Speaker 3>of reminds me of John Cena in a sense that <v Speaker 3>he's one of those guys that we are starting to <v Speaker 3>complain and moan about about being here and taking the <v Speaker 3>spallet and all that. But I guarantee you the second <v Speaker 3>brock is gone, we're gonna miss him, just like John Cena. Granted, <v Speaker 3>I'm not saying everyone is dying for John cena come back, <v Speaker 3>but it's it's noticeable now, like you you you kind <v Speaker 3>of like every it's kind of like an undertaker type thing, like, oh, <v Speaker 3>I wonder if John Cena is gonna show up this <v Speaker 3>year or if he's gonna have a Wrestlemanium moment. <v Speaker 4>Like it's kind of leading into that. <v Speaker 3>So I just you know, a lot of people hate <v Speaker 3>on brock Lessner. Yes, what I want him to be <v Speaker 3>around more frequently, especially if he's going to be the champion. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>but we just got to kind of appreciate his stardom <v Speaker 3>and what he adds to the w brand while we. <v Speaker 2>Can exactly because we have to understand if if you've <v Speaker 2>been watching wrestling for five ten years, you know that <v Speaker 2>brock Lessner is not the future of the company. Brock <v Speaker 2>Lessner is a He's a attraction star that is still <v Speaker 2>ultra talented, but he's not going to ever be the <v Speaker 2>guy that is carrying the company on his back, making <v Speaker 2>house show appearances, busting his ass, doing all the live events, signings, <v Speaker 2>and he never never, And I think we have to <v Speaker 2>recognize that Brock is on the back end of his <v Speaker 2>career and he's there too. If our Vince McMahon, I <v Speaker 2>would hope that this is the philosophy that he's there <v Speaker 2>to make other stars. He's there to build up other guys, <v Speaker 2>and he's not there to say send a message to <v Speaker 2>fans that he's the future. So I appreciate every appearance <v Speaker 2>I see by Brock. I appreciate every appearance I see <v Speaker 2>by Undertaker. As as much of a shell of a <v Speaker 2>performer as he was back in the nineties, I still <v Speaker 2>appreciate the fact that we are there's going to come <v Speaker 2>a day where it is truly over and we're gonna go. Oh, man, <v Speaker 2>I really miss I miss hearing the gong. I miss <v Speaker 2>seeing an F five, you know exactly. So, Man, the <v Speaker 2>other thing that I wanted to touch on, as far <v Speaker 2>as rumors go, do you think there's any credibility to <v Speaker 2>Edges return at the Rumble? And really, second part to that, <v Speaker 2>is there any credibility to his return overall? <v Speaker 3>That is probably one of the hardest ones injury related wise, <v Speaker 3>just thinking back to all the episodes I heard, and <v Speaker 3>I listened to on his podcast, and just like how <v Speaker 3>he would describe the severity of his injury and how <v Speaker 3>you know he was obviously forced to retire, and just <v Speaker 3>how he doesn't want to put his health in jeopardy <v Speaker 3>for his kids because obviously he has a family now <v Speaker 3>and things are very different now than what they were <v Speaker 3>however many years ago. <v Speaker 4>I know, I don't think he's coming back. <v Speaker 3>I think he may come back in like a personality <v Speaker 3>type or maybe like a manager role, but I don't <v Speaker 3>see in ring at all. And I would love him too. <v Speaker 3>But I can see him as kind of like what <v Speaker 3>Christians doing. <v Speaker 4>Like being showing up on backstage and talking about. <v Speaker 3>The product and maybe you know, filling in on commentary <v Speaker 3>here and there, because he was always a very good talker, <v Speaker 3>just like a down to earth. <v Speaker 4>Unbelievable guy. <v Speaker 3>So I could see him coming back for that, but <v Speaker 3>I hope not in ring unless he is one hundred <v Speaker 3>percent cleared, and. <v Speaker 4>I don't know, but I know I don't think. <v Speaker 2>So, so I'm gonna I'm gonna actually say there is <v Speaker 2>some credibility to his return, but maybe not the royal <v Speaker 2>rumble and people say, oh, Punk's gonna be an enter <v Speaker 2>at the Royal Rumble. Punk is actually favored on the <v Speaker 2>on one of those betting sites that you can actually <v Speaker 2>wager real money on, is that Punk is one of <v Speaker 2>the top five people to win the Rumble odds on favorites. <v Speaker 2>I'm thinking, I'm serious, and I'm like, how is this possible, guys, <v Speaker 2>because people have just stirred up so much rumored that <v Speaker 2>they're believing their own hype. And I'm like, Punk, Do <v Speaker 2>I think Punk's gonna have a match in wit W <v Speaker 2>before he ends up officially retiring? <v Speaker 4>Yes? <v Speaker 2>Do I think it's gonna be at the Royal Rumble <v Speaker 2>in twenty twenty. No, I would not have Punk in <v Speaker 2>the Royal Rumble match for so many reasons, but the <v Speaker 2>biggest is you can't have Punk could return at the Rumble. <v Speaker 2>Number one, people are expecting it. Number Two, you can't <v Speaker 2>have what he's gonna win. You can't have Punk win <v Speaker 2>and then what go to main event of Wrestlemanian lose. <v Speaker 2>You can't And you can't have him win because he's <v Speaker 2>not gonna be the face of WWE anymore, because it's <v Speaker 2>that's really not where he's at in his part his <v Speaker 2>career anymore. And Furthermore, you can't. What are you gonna <v Speaker 2>have him eliminated? There's just so many bad reasons to <v Speaker 2>have him in the rumble. So if anybody's gonna debut <v Speaker 2>in the rumble, I mean Edge is more likely, if <v Speaker 2>that was even likely. But I think Edge actually has <v Speaker 2>a match at WrestleMania. There. You know, for the first <v Speaker 2>time since he actually retired in twenty eleven after his <v Speaker 2>WrestleMania match with del Bertil del Rio and he had <v Speaker 2>the neck injury and how much he was risking paralysis, <v Speaker 2>he for the first time ever actually had a physical <v Speaker 2>interaction that smack down one thousand spearing alias. I believe <v Speaker 2>it was. So that was the very first time and <v Speaker 2>that was a sign WW would never in their right <v Speaker 2>minds ever allow a competitor to get physical in any <v Speaker 2>way if they weren't medically clear to do so. And <v Speaker 2>that was a massive, massive positive sign for Edge. So <v Speaker 2>I think there's some credibility to it. The rumors people <v Speaker 2>are going nuts. Would I bet money on it, No, <v Speaker 2>but I would say it's like a one to ten. <v Speaker 2>I'd say it's like a three or a four likely <v Speaker 2>that he maybe, you know, I don't know if he <v Speaker 2>did used that the Rumble or returns. But between now <v Speaker 2>and Mania, I would say, we see Edge in a <v Speaker 2>match at WrestleMania. I just don't know who was against, <v Speaker 2>So take that for what it's worth. <v Speaker 3>And you know he returned, wasn't it at the two <v Speaker 3>thousand and eight Royal Rumble. <v Speaker 2>Nine? <v Speaker 3>Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yes he did, and he won. <v Speaker 3>That He won the whole time, and just remember like <v Speaker 3>that massive pop, So I you know, I could see it, <v Speaker 3>and don't get me wrong, I would love to see <v Speaker 3>it because I'm such an Edge fan. And if he's <v Speaker 3>medically clear, and I completely forgot about that whole SmackDown interaction, <v Speaker 3>you're or SummerSlam wherever it was, but you're absolutely right, <v Speaker 3>So yeah, I'm. <v Speaker 4>Thinking about that now. You you definitely could be onto something, <v Speaker 4>you know, but. <v Speaker 2>Don't listen to me because I'm the one. I'm the <v Speaker 2>one that convinced you that beck In Charlotte gonna win <v Speaker 2>the championships, the SmackDown Women's Championships. Don't believe I am <v Speaker 2>just I'm just a snake oil salesman. Don't believe me. <v Speaker 2>I don't like. This is just what goes on in <v Speaker 2>my head. And you know, we get into these stories <v Speaker 2>and we start to make sense to ourselves. But yeah, <v Speaker 2>so that's that's my theory. Don't don't listen to me, <v Speaker 2>use your own head. My theories are oftentimes just out there. <v Speaker 2>So anyway, again, if you're gonna put me in a <v Speaker 2>position to pick Edge or see I'm Punk more likely, <v Speaker 2>I think Edge is infinitely more likely because he's already <v Speaker 2>involved in the WWE system. He's an active part of <v Speaker 2>the roster, not in in ring competition, but certainly he <v Speaker 2>has had a lot less problems in ww management than <v Speaker 2>seem Punk has. So yes, anyway, moving on though, I <v Speaker 2>wanted to also talk to you about what's been going <v Speaker 2>on with Seth AOP. I know you and I both <v Speaker 2>love that alliance, and now you have the other. <v Speaker 3>Half of it. <v Speaker 2>You have Ko, you have Samoa Joe, and a third <v Speaker 2>that just came along this week of Big Show, who <v Speaker 2>I don't think is a mainstay in this whole story. <v Speaker 2>He kind of seems more like a one off or <v Speaker 2>maybe a very short term of fill in for their <v Speaker 2>third partner against Seth and Aop. So how would you <v Speaker 2>rate this whole storyline so far, with this newly formed <v Speaker 2>alliance as two individualists coming together to face a common Enemy. <v Speaker 3>I really love the Samojio Kevin Owen's tag team or pairing. <v Speaker 4>As you say. <v Speaker 3>It's interesting because I never really pictured the two of <v Speaker 3>them anywhere near being partners or cordial with each other, <v Speaker 3>just because of how strong their individual characters are. So <v Speaker 3>I'm very intrigued by that, and I like the way <v Speaker 3>they're pacing it and sending it up right now. <v Speaker 4>It's not like they're just googoo. <v Speaker 3>Gagau with each other and like just forgetting any bad <v Speaker 3>blood or any history in the past, or even anything <v Speaker 3>that they have done individually themselves, maybe not even against <v Speaker 3>each other, but just in their own paths. But so <v Speaker 3>I'm really digging this setup up. And you can definitely tell, <v Speaker 3>in my opinion that Paul Hamm and his hands and <v Speaker 3>often because this version of Seth Rollins as well, is <v Speaker 3>just I'm so here for the Messiah, the Monday Night Messiah, <v Speaker 3>right that's the new Moniker. Yep. I'm surprised there's not <v Speaker 3>a T shirt out yet with that, but I'm digging it. <v Speaker 4>I'm digging it. <v Speaker 3>He seems so comfortable in this role and the AOP <v Speaker 3>just looks perfect with him. The whole Big Show return <v Speaker 3>really threw me off, and like you said, I agree <v Speaker 3>with you. I don't see that being a long term <v Speaker 3>factor in this scenario either, but that was an interesting return. <v Speaker 4>Do you do you see him long term? <v Speaker 3>Do you see him having a Mania match real quick? <v Speaker 3>Would you see happening with him? <v Speaker 4>Do you? <v Speaker 3>Or do you see him being like a sacrificial lamb <v Speaker 3>for the aop, like for next week or something. <v Speaker 2>I mean, at this point big Show's career, I think <v Speaker 2>it's more of being there to build other guys, and <v Speaker 2>as it should be. I have no issues with his return. <v Speaker 2>I actually pop for it because we haven't seen a <v Speaker 2>big show they said in two years, and I believe it. <v Speaker 2>That was probably the biggest reaction he's gotten in about <v Speaker 2>ten years, because I remember a Big Show being out <v Speaker 2>there every week and people kind of grown at it <v Speaker 2>like it's a big show and he team with Kine <v Speaker 2>and it was like the you know he would he <v Speaker 2>would be part of the authority when that whole storyline <v Speaker 2>ran on for Infinity and so there there's really like <v Speaker 2>I was excited to see Big Show and I can't <v Speaker 2>believe I said that, but it's true because it just <v Speaker 2>it's been so long an absence makes the heart grow <v Speaker 2>fonder and all that's true, so I was fine with <v Speaker 2>the return. I think it is just a setup to <v Speaker 2>again probably be the sacrificial land for AOP to plow <v Speaker 2>through in seth rollins, and I'm totally fine with that. <v Speaker 2>I see Big Show probably competing through WrestleMania, maybe ending <v Speaker 2>at the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. I know <v Speaker 2>he's won it before, but I don't see him in <v Speaker 2>a one on one match. I just I don't. I <v Speaker 2>don't think Big Show is in the position physically to <v Speaker 2>do that. And he looked kind of slow. I know <v Speaker 2>his knees aren't great, so to put him in a <v Speaker 2>multi man match, maybe end up in the last three <v Speaker 2>guys and it could come down to braun stroman Big <v Speaker 2>Show and on whoever else. That's my guess is that <v Speaker 2>that's where it ends for Big Show. This is a <v Speaker 2>short three month run and then that's it. As far <v Speaker 2>as Ko and Smojo Goo, I love this pairing two. <v Speaker 2>It makes sense. They've addressed the fact too that I <v Speaker 2>like that that they don't just say, oh, we're suddenly <v Speaker 2>great friends and they're patting each other on the back <v Speaker 2>and you know, kissing and all that stuff. It's they <v Speaker 2>They actually made it make sense that they are together <v Speaker 2>because of the fact that they have an enemy of <v Speaker 2>my enemy as my friend, and that we are two <v Speaker 2>guys that have done really bad things and we are <v Speaker 2>coming together to take out a common enemy. It makes <v Speaker 2>total sense. They have addressed what all the fans are thinking, <v Speaker 2>and the psychology on this has been a plus. Yes, <v Speaker 2>Seth feels infinitely more comfortable as a heel. He always has, <v Speaker 2>he always will. I never really embraced the Seth Browins' <v Speaker 2>babyface character felt very forced. So I'm all for this. <v Speaker 2>This to me, every week I look forward to what <v Speaker 2>is Seth and the IP doing? What is Kevin? What <v Speaker 2>are Kevin Owens and Smojoe gonna do? So yeah, this <v Speaker 2>this thing all around is great. I'd have no idea <v Speaker 2>what the hell a fist fight means for next week, <v Speaker 2>you know, as opposed to every wrestling match that has <v Speaker 2>happened since nineteen ninety five, I don't know what a <v Speaker 2>fistfight wrestling matches? Could you have any idea what that means? <v Speaker 3>No clue, no clue, but hey, I will tune in <v Speaker 3>to find out. <v Speaker 4>And that's the point. It's just you know. <v Speaker 2>Oh god, I really have no idea. I don't know <v Speaker 2>how you can. It's it's almost I don't know. I <v Speaker 2>don't know what this is. It's a joke to me <v Speaker 2>because they've been using closed fists. It's every match is <v Speaker 2>a fist fight. Every match perceivably is a fist fight. <v Speaker 2>So I don't know what the hell this could mean. <v Speaker 2>Maybe they'll turn it into something entertaining. I don't know. <v Speaker 2>But speaking of entertaining, I guess depending on your definition <v Speaker 2>of entertaining, though, what do you think of how the <v Speaker 2>Lana russev now Live Morgan and Bobby Lashley love quad <v Speaker 2>effecta this messible storyline, whatever this thing is that has <v Speaker 2>evolved into since we last talked. Are you enjoying this? <v Speaker 2>Are you one of the on that end or are <v Speaker 2>you one of the people that just go, this is unwatchable, <v Speaker 2>it's a train wreck, or somewhere in the middle. <v Speaker 3>I am, I guess somewhere in the middle. I don't <v Speaker 3>hate it, just because at this point, like I'm just <v Speaker 3>kind of numb to it, like, and I'm not gonna lie, <v Speaker 3>like I was intrigued to see how the wedding was <v Speaker 3>going to turn out, right, because every we wedding ends <v Speaker 3>up in some chaos, so I was intrigued to find out. <v Speaker 4>Of course, Ruce, I've had to be in the cake. <v Speaker 3>But you know, the whole Live Morgan thing kind of <v Speaker 3>throws me off, just because I don't really know how <v Speaker 3>much they can get away with doing nowadays with it, <v Speaker 3>and like what the actual purpose of it is long term? <v Speaker 4>Right? <v Speaker 3>So obviously they still had Lived Morgan on TV this <v Speaker 3>week and she was still referring to it, and if <v Speaker 3>you follow them as social media, they have been posting <v Speaker 3>pictures of each other together from like back in the day, <v Speaker 3>like a year or two years ago. So I don't <v Speaker 3>it's just like, what what can they actually get away <v Speaker 3>with them? What can they do on TV with the storyline? <v Speaker 4>You know? And I don't know. <v Speaker 3>I think we're starting to see signs with Bobby Lashley <v Speaker 3>maybe getting tired of Lana and maybe he could turn <v Speaker 3>to being a face out of all this, because everyone's <v Speaker 3>gonna be so happy that he turns on Lana that <v Speaker 3>they cheer for him. I don't know, And maybe he <v Speaker 3>ends up facing Broccolisner at WrestleMania. Maybe this is Bobby <v Speaker 3>Lashley's bill to WrestleMania. Maybe he's going to go through <v Speaker 3>this with Fana for a few more weeks or another <v Speaker 3>month or so. Finally, Snab turn on Lana. Everyone cheers, <v Speaker 3>and in some wonky way, he ends up at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 4>I don't know, man, Stranger things have happened, right. <v Speaker 2>Yes, Stranger things have happened, and I have you know, <v Speaker 2>I was. I gave this angle a chance. And I've <v Speaker 2>said before and I'll continue to say that this isn't <v Speaker 2>the worst thing Vince has done, and that it's it's <v Speaker 2>it's akin to and I think the best analogy that <v Speaker 2>I've heard is it's a it's a train wreck that <v Speaker 2>you don't want to watch, but you can't help but <v Speaker 2>watch because you're so just intrigued as to how terrible <v Speaker 2>it's going to be, that it's almost good. It's the <v Speaker 2>weirdest feeling that you have about this angle because it's <v Speaker 2>Jerry Springer. Yeah, like I feel And I said this <v Speaker 2>in one of my shows. I don't know it. It was <v Speaker 2>last week that I feel like I need to shower <v Speaker 2>after I watch this angle. It's just it makes me <v Speaker 2>feel dirty that I'm watching I feel dumber, like I <v Speaker 2>feel brain cells being being evaporated. As I'm watching every <v Speaker 2>second that goes by, I'm starting to my IQ goes <v Speaker 2>down a couple of points about every you know, two <v Speaker 2>or three minutes and I but at the same time, <v Speaker 2>I'm like, why am I watching this? And it's weird <v Speaker 2>that Vincil go, oh, look at the numbers. People are watching, <v Speaker 2>But people aren't watching because they think it's a good story. <v Speaker 2>I think people are watching because it's just trash TV. <v Speaker 2>That it's like Jerry Springer meets pro Wrastling. I don't know. <v Speaker 2>And Lana, I will say, for all her beautiful gifts <v Speaker 2>and all of her physical attributes, is awful is god <v Speaker 2>awful on the mic? Like I understand that she she's <v Speaker 2>an amazingly beautiful woman. That's that's that's not the point. <v Speaker 2>And as much as she is probably one of the <v Speaker 2>most beautiful women in the world, that still does not <v Speaker 2>negate just how awful she is on the microphone. Not <v Speaker 2>to the point of like you're a good heel, it's <v Speaker 2>you are just terrible on the mic. Her cadence, her flow, <v Speaker 2>her word choice, her stumbling, her it's just uncomfortable to <v Speaker 2>watch her on the mic. I think Lana is the <v Speaker 2>one that and the reason unbelievably, that is the one <v Speaker 2>of the biggest reasons I'm not enjoying this angle. But <v Speaker 2>then there's moments that Russev will make me laugh. Lastly, <v Speaker 2>as you said, showed signs of cracking this week telling <v Speaker 2>her to shut up, and you heard the crowd pop <v Speaker 2>for that, So yeah, I think that is a sign <v Speaker 2>of things to come. It was just a quick thing, <v Speaker 2>and then he didn't He didn't follow up on it <v Speaker 2>and went on to talk about Russev, So yeah, that <v Speaker 2>could definitely be something there. The Live Morgan Lana thing, <v Speaker 2>certainly that is going to be something that's followed up <v Speaker 2>on as we have Rusev and Lana or russe even <v Speaker 2>live go on to face Lashly and Lana. That's something <v Speaker 2>coming down the line. So this whole thing is nothing <v Speaker 2>more than your sports entertainment y part of the sports <v Speaker 2>entertainment show that some people love, some people hate. I'm <v Speaker 2>more on the hate side, but at the same time, <v Speaker 2>I can't help but watch and I feel dirty. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and really quick, before we move on, what do <v Speaker 3>you think happens to Lana after all this? Because I <v Speaker 3>see Rusev and Lashley being able to bounce back. Obviously, <v Speaker 3>because they're they're in ring competitors. But Lana that she <v Speaker 3>was never truly an inter ring competitor. She had a <v Speaker 3>few matches here and there, but that was never her <v Speaker 3>main thing. Her main thing was being Russev's manager or <v Speaker 3>white psychic, whatever you want to call her. So what <v Speaker 3>does she end up doing because they can't get back <v Speaker 3>together now, like after all of this, or at least <v Speaker 3>no time soon, So I wonder what she ends up <v Speaker 3>doing or she just disappears after Lashley turns on her, <v Speaker 3>and that would suck, you know that for her. <v Speaker 2>You know, Vince loves his blondes. Vince loves his blonde women. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>we'll live is back, so maybe he can she can <v Speaker 2>take her place to satisfy Vince McMahon's appeal for the <v Speaker 2>blonde taken. <v Speaker 3>Into a different direction, you know, because now the Lna <v Speaker 3>phase or the Lana stage is phasing out. So I'm <v Speaker 3>just I'll be curious to see what happens with Lana <v Speaker 3>after all this, probably more so than any of the <v Speaker 3>other two guys, as odd as that is, just out <v Speaker 3>of curiosity to see what they end up doing with her. <v Speaker 2>Well, like you said, because everyone else in this storyline <v Speaker 2>can go back to, you know. <v Speaker 4>Wrestling, and they want to save themselves. <v Speaker 2>The LNA wrestling experiment just didn't work. She's not good <v Speaker 2>in the ring. I mean it's I'm not saying it's easy. <v Speaker 1>She just was. <v Speaker 2>She's fine. I wasn't good in the ring, and that's fine. <v Speaker 2>So she could go back to a managerial role. That's <v Speaker 2>I think something she could do, or as you said, <v Speaker 2>just kind of disappear for a while. I think those <v Speaker 2>are the two options. Either manager or go away and <v Speaker 2>come back and maybe if you want to try the <v Speaker 2>in ring thing, go back to performance center and train <v Speaker 2>your ass off for six to twelve months and come back. <v Speaker 2>I mean, I don't know, I don't know what her <v Speaker 2>plans are. But once the story line's over, Yeah, very <v Speaker 2>interesting to see where she lands. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 4>Oh. <v Speaker 2>One of the things I wanted to mention to you <v Speaker 2>as I was thinking about the Edge thing, I just <v Speaker 2>wanted to touch quickly on this. Another thing that will <v Speaker 2>give you a little bit more confidence in my wacky <v Speaker 2>theories is not just that he's spirit alias for the <v Speaker 2>first time and don't know what he since he retired <v Speaker 2>nine years ago, but also Randy Yorton mentioned Edged by <v Speaker 2>name last week on Raw, in his when he feigned <v Speaker 2>his injury to get aj Styles out there, he purposefully <v Speaker 2>mentioned Edge that how he had to retire because of <v Speaker 2>a career ending injury. And I've been reading through various <v Speaker 2>sites that we all know that it's been it was <v Speaker 2>done on purpose, that that was not just coincidence that <v Speaker 2>Randy Orton mentioned. So I mean, oh my god, don't <v Speaker 2>get me. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I mean, just take a playoff of that history, <v Speaker 3>you know, and you have one on one night WrestleMania <v Speaker 3>absolutely or you know, or team and then turn whatever. <v Speaker 3>But yeah, did they have so much history? Wow, you're <v Speaker 3>so right. <v Speaker 2>It's just these little, these little things that I mean again, <v Speaker 2>after my epic fail of selling you on the tag <v Speaker 2>team Women's win, don't don't listen to me. But just <v Speaker 2>something else, fruit for food there? <v Speaker 3>That is that is a valid, valid point. <v Speaker 4>There. You you have officially turned me. I'm a believer. <v Speaker 2>Now crap, So here we go. I can't go oh <v Speaker 2>for two here, I got it, I can't. <v Speaker 3>I will feel all. <v Speaker 2>Right, Well well then we will we'll talk again again <v Speaker 2>in like three weeks when we have our official prediction show. <v Speaker 2>Let's see if you still have Edge as a surprise return. <v Speaker 2>But anyway, so moving on though, there's a couple other <v Speaker 2>things I wanted to touch on with you. I know that <v Speaker 2>we're running up against time, but the other returns, I know, <v Speaker 2>we've seen the USO's come back. They've come back to <v Speaker 2>help Roman Reigns with their haircut, which I like. I <v Speaker 2>think it's a good look for them. They needed to <v Speaker 2>certainly change and they helped out Roman Reigns. And what <v Speaker 2>do you think, First of all, we haven't really talked <v Speaker 2>a whole lot about Roman Rains on SmackDown, nor have <v Speaker 2>we talked about Daniel Bryan. So Daniel Brian and obviously <v Speaker 2>the Fiend are having their Universal Championship match at the <v Speaker 2>Royal Rumble, and I don't think it's really a secret <v Speaker 2>that we probably think the Fiend is gonna keep his championship. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>but I know that I don't think we're really giving <v Speaker 2>any state secrets away there. It's kind of obvious where <v Speaker 2>they're going with that. But yeah, with USO's return, with <v Speaker 2>Daniel Brian really embracing the Yes movement and also embracing <v Speaker 2>the haircut, it's just like a I don't know, it's <v Speaker 2>a sickness going on it's smacked and were people getting <v Speaker 2>their haircut left and right? What are you? What is <v Speaker 2>your feeling on SmackDown so far? How are you? How <v Speaker 2>are you enjoying the Daniel Brian story, the Roman reigns <v Speaker 2>and Corbin just touch on SmackDown briefly. <v Speaker 4>SmackDown is interesting. <v Speaker 3>SmackDown really feels like its own world and WWE Land <v Speaker 3>if that makes sense, or maybe it's some country in <v Speaker 3>the WWE world. <v Speaker 4>We'll go with that. <v Speaker 3>But the reason, and I'm glad you brought this up <v Speaker 3>because the reason also I chose Roman Reigns as an <v Speaker 3>early early prediction earlier was because of what he said <v Speaker 3>on this past Friday SmackDown. He when he was backstage <v Speaker 3>with Daniel Brian, he mentioned that he was entering into <v Speaker 3>the Royal Rumble and he planned on winning, which is fine, <v Speaker 3>you know, whenever a lot of people say that, But <v Speaker 3>then he wanted to face Daniel Bryan because Daniel Brian <v Speaker 3>is planning on beating the Feed and pretty much Room <v Speaker 3>and Rains essentially kind of challenged Daniel Bryan to a <v Speaker 3>title match to Russell Mania. So of course, you know, <v Speaker 3>a lot of guys are gonna go out there and <v Speaker 3>make their predictions to say that they're gonna be the <v Speaker 3>one to win and all that good stuff. But again, <v Speaker 3>I'm questioning if this is another one of those little <v Speaker 3>seeds to kind of see how fans react, Like if <v Speaker 3>Ruman says, Okay, I'm entering the rumble and I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>win and he pauses. Are people cheering? Are they booing? <v Speaker 3>Are they silent? Like how I think this is like <v Speaker 3>a trying out. <v Speaker 4>Period for roumen. <v Speaker 3>Again, I'm not saying that that's how I would want <v Speaker 3>it to play out or my choice, but my prediction <v Speaker 3>from WWE's side, Dan O'Brien though, Daniel Brian's interesting because <v Speaker 3>I don't think his whole character is finished with the Fiend. <v Speaker 3>I feel like we're gonna see him snap or maybe <v Speaker 3>get abducted by the Fiend again and just turn because <v Speaker 3>I just it's just kind of weird to me, and <v Speaker 3>maybe it is just me, but this while Daniel Brian, <v Speaker 3>he gets drugged underneath the ring, his hair gets pulled out, <v Speaker 3>he's gone for a little bit, and then he just <v Speaker 3>returns and he's happy and he's positive and like nothing happened. <v Speaker 3>He did mention that his daughter didn't recognize him and <v Speaker 3>that you know, affected him. But I feel like the <v Speaker 3>Miz is more traumatized by the Fiend than Daniel Brian is. <v Speaker 4>Right now, what do you think? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I and the daniel'brien went through way more physically it, <v Speaker 3>you know, emotionally, if you want to be real about it. <v Speaker 4>Then the mis did. <v Speaker 3>Yes, the fiend hacked into Missus Howells or whatever, and <v Speaker 3>the doll was there and that was creepy. But Daniel <v Speaker 3>Brian's hair was pulled out from his skull by the fiend, <v Speaker 3>or so to believe so. And but he's not like <v Speaker 3>he's not upset by that, right he said. <v Speaker 2>He's the only one that didn't let the Fiend in, <v Speaker 2>and he's the. <v Speaker 4>Only one really going to be the case. Is Daniel <v Speaker 4>Brian going to be the one? <v Speaker 2>I don't think so. I think again, this is all <v Speaker 2>groomed for Roman reigns at WrestleMania. I really believe that <v Speaker 2>one way, the whether Roman wins the Rumble or finds <v Speaker 2>another way, he will be facing the Fiend at WrestleMania. <v Speaker 2>I don't think there's any question about it. But having <v Speaker 2>Daniel Bryan be the only one to not be affected <v Speaker 2>by the Fiend is interesting. It is interesting, and it's <v Speaker 2>also interesting that the fans decided to turn on the Miz, <v Speaker 2>which I don't think they would have done had Daniel <v Speaker 2>Brian not turned baby face at the same time. I <v Speaker 2>really believe that because there was somebody bigger and better <v Speaker 2>with Daniel Brian. And then you remember the history of <v Speaker 2>these two and the talking Smack segment and all the <v Speaker 2>talk that you want to see these two fight, and <v Speaker 2>the program they have when he finally did come back. <v Speaker 2>So I think that again, if Daniel Brian had not <v Speaker 2>done that, I think the crowd would have probably embraced <v Speaker 2>and been more sympathetic to the Miss. It was just <v Speaker 2>bad timing. And then the Miss officially I think turned <v Speaker 2>heel this past week on SmackDown, saying that are you <v Speaker 2>kidding me? I've done everything for you, like yelling at <v Speaker 2>the fans into the camera, and so I'm fine with it. <v Speaker 2>I think the Miss is a better heel. I appreciate <v Speaker 2>that they tried to run with it, but now you <v Speaker 2>have the Miz in a more natural role, just as <v Speaker 2>Seth is a more natural heel, I think the Miss <v Speaker 2>is a more natural heel and him on the Miss <v Speaker 2>went on w W E backstage and uh started lashing <v Speaker 2>out and well, he lashed out at CM Punk, which <v Speaker 2>was interesting, and then Cempunk lashed back out at him, <v Speaker 2>and his tweet was since deleted. I don't know if <v Speaker 2>you saw it at that. I did, so, yeah, I'm <v Speaker 2>interesting there too. Again, I don't know how much I'd <v Speaker 2>read into the Miz versus CM Punk. I don't think <v Speaker 2>that would be his you know, dream return match, but uh, yeah, <v Speaker 2>the miss is an interesting guy. And I just I <v Speaker 2>don't know if this is going to be the turn <v Speaker 2>too of Daniel Bryan back to heel at the Royal Rumble. <v Speaker 2>I think that they have enough heels. There's not a <v Speaker 2>lot of strong babyfaces that the crowd organically loves. And yeah, <v Speaker 2>you could say, oh, Rome Rains is their top guy, <v Speaker 2>not really. When you turn listen to listen to the audience, <v Speaker 2>is the audience reacting as positively to Roman Rains as <v Speaker 2>they do Daniel Brian put him side by side. The <v Speaker 2>answer is no, But positioning Roman Rains would be quote <v Speaker 2>your paper top baby face, but your true top guy <v Speaker 2>is Daniel Bryan. I just think that the fans of <v Speaker 2>it's kind of like turning stone cold heel. They went <v Speaker 2>with the Rye, but they were kind of like, well, <v Speaker 2>we don't really hate you. You know you're great in <v Speaker 2>the ring, You're entertaining as hell. Just go back to <v Speaker 2>your character we loved. And that's what I think kind <v Speaker 2>of happened with Daniel Brian. And now they're back in <v Speaker 2>that he's got some momentum and he looks like it's <v Speaker 2>twenty eleven again, and Shamus looks like it's twenty eleven again. <v Speaker 2>It's so crazy, isn't it weird. It's like he got <v Speaker 2>a time machine just by cutting his hair. <v Speaker 3>It's bizarre, unreal, like what I will. I was shocked <v Speaker 3>when he took the hood off. I was like, is <v Speaker 3>that really him? I had to do a double take. <v Speaker 3>I could not believe it. And isn't it ironic really <v Speaker 3>quick that we're back in the same situation that we <v Speaker 3>were in in twenty fifteen. I believe it was with <v Speaker 3>Reman Rains and Danie O'Brien buying. <v Speaker 4>To be the top babyface. <v Speaker 2>Yep, we are the odds. Five years later, I'm still <v Speaker 2>talking about this. <v Speaker 4>Damn same thing. <v Speaker 2>Oh my god. And I really don't know if Daniel <v Speaker 2>Brian's going to be the rumble we all assume that <v Speaker 2>if you're in a championship match, you're not gonna be <v Speaker 2>on the rumble. That's not the case. Again. That happened <v Speaker 2>in twenty sixteen when Roman Reigns was in a championship match, <v Speaker 2>lost the championship match and then went into the Royal Rumble. <v Speaker 2>Is number thirty. We've seen it before that just because <v Speaker 2>you're in a match at rumble doesn't exempt you from <v Speaker 2>being in the Royal Rumble match itself. So be careful <v Speaker 2>when you when you see these people again, Daniel Brian <v Speaker 2>in the Fiend say Daniel Brian loses but enterests the Rumble. <v Speaker 2>That could happen. And apparently again I said this on <v Speaker 2>my show last night. The only qualification for being in <v Speaker 2>the Rumble is you just declare it, right, you just <v Speaker 2>declare it. You just say you're in the rumble. And <v Speaker 2>then you're yeah, I'm saying, guys, I am officially in <v Speaker 2>the Royal Rumble. How about that? I will. I am <v Speaker 2>in the Rumble. I don't know what number, but I'm <v Speaker 2>in it. <v Speaker 4>That it hasn't been chosen yet. <v Speaker 2>No, And I said, did you ever watch The Office? <v Speaker 4>No? <v Speaker 1>No? <v Speaker 2>Okay, so that kes Yeah, all right, I was gonna <v Speaker 2>cut a joke, but I won't. Okay, yeah, you know <v Speaker 2>you really, I know everyone's like, you gotta see it. <v Speaker 2>You gotta see. It's like Breaking Bad, right, people, you <v Speaker 2>gotta see Breaking Bad, uh, or Game of Thrones or <v Speaker 2>whatever you know. So anyway, but so my point is though, <v Speaker 2>that the qualifications of being in the Rumble are you <v Speaker 2>just say you're in it. There's no tournament, there's no <v Speaker 2>win loss record, and taking into consideration, you just say <v Speaker 2>you're in it, right. And furthermore, all you have to <v Speaker 2>do if you if anybody wants to be number thirty <v Speaker 2>or any competitor or any entrant, if you want to <v Speaker 2>take somebody's place, you just have to attack him from <v Speaker 2>behind and then just walk in the ring. That's all <v Speaker 2>you gotta do to to go into the Royal Rumble. <v Speaker 2>And furthermore, after you're eliminated, you can eliminate other people <v Speaker 2>because that's how it works in other sports. So as <v Speaker 2>much as I love the Rumble match man, there are <v Speaker 2>some glaring, glaring holes that I just would love to <v Speaker 2>see WWE just modify or address. If you're eliminated, you <v Speaker 2>can throw somebody over the top rope. But That doesn't <v Speaker 2>mean that that person's eliminated. It just it doesn't make sense. <v Speaker 2>We see it year after year after year. I still <v Speaker 2>love the Rumble, but some of those things just get <v Speaker 2>me every single year. <v Speaker 4>Oh me too, me too. <v Speaker 3>I can plan about that every year and it's just <v Speaker 3>simple things that I feel like they should address. But <v Speaker 3>it's been what thirty years now. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I doubt it. <v Speaker 2>It's not going anywhere because that would handcuff them from <v Speaker 2>a lot of the booking that they want to do. Yeah. Whatever, <v Speaker 2>I've just I'm just gonna learn to live with it. <v Speaker 2>It's the world of WWE booking and logic as much <v Speaker 2>as like like last year and Naya Jacks enter the Rumble, <v Speaker 2>not only did she attack our truth, which if you <v Speaker 2>attack our truth, suddenly that qualifies you to be in <v Speaker 2>the Rumble, she's also a woman in the men's royal Rumble. <v Speaker 2>I don't know of any other sport in the history <v Speaker 2>of the world that if you are of the other <v Speaker 2>gender and I don't want to get into oh god, <v Speaker 2>like you know, there's X amount of genders. <v Speaker 1>I don't want. <v Speaker 2>To go there. Let's pretend, okay, and right now there's <v Speaker 2>two genders that if you are a man. You can't <v Speaker 2>enter a woman's sport. It's just not a thing. I <v Speaker 2>don't know. So like last year when that happened, she <v Speaker 2>got I'm glad that she got ur KAOD and got eliminated. <v Speaker 2>It just made no sense. Like, I know that they're <v Speaker 2>going for the shock factor of her being in the <v Speaker 2>men's rumble, and I get that she's a powerful woman <v Speaker 2>and she's strong and I get it, but it just <v Speaker 2>from a sports a sports simulation perspective, it's like, no, <v Speaker 2>come on, no, I don't know. Imagine if a man <v Speaker 2>entered the women's rumble, people will be up in arms. <v Speaker 4>So oh ye. <v Speaker 2>Anyway, yeah, it's just we'll see some craziness. But I <v Speaker 2>still love the damn show. I love it. It's my favorite. <v Speaker 2>So I think I might have, oh one other thing <v Speaker 2>I wanted to ask you before we close things out, <v Speaker 2>What is your take on Becky and Charlotte who's kind <v Speaker 2>of floating out there not doing a whole lot, and <v Speaker 2>the recent turn of Lacy Evans turning babyface and Oscar <v Speaker 2>and Becky, like, just kind of give your quick recap <v Speaker 2>of how you're feeling about the women's division right now. <v Speaker 3>I'm here for the Becky Oscar feud right now. I'm <v Speaker 3>happy that they are closing that story. <v Speaker 4>I early prediction here. <v Speaker 3>I see Becky winning and retaining and moving on to <v Speaker 3>possibly Shane a Basler or if Ronda's going to return <v Speaker 3>obviously that. <v Speaker 4>But yeah, I'm I'm here for and I like that. <v Speaker 3>It feels like Becky is just being real with us, <v Speaker 3>you know, and Becky is at her best when she <v Speaker 3>believes in something, and it's you can tell by her <v Speaker 3>expression that the loss to Oscar really bothers her and <v Speaker 3>it really means something, and she this is really something <v Speaker 3>that she needs to evnge. So I'm I'm here for <v Speaker 3>and I think it's going to be a phenomenal match. <v Speaker 3>But I'm still here for. And the whole Charlotte thing <v Speaker 3>kind of confuses me because I truly don't know is <v Speaker 3>she a babyface or a heel right now? Right? And <v Speaker 3>that's the thing because and I really questioned it when <v Speaker 3>she was facing Nata or when she was out there <v Speaker 3>the other night or the other week. I don't remember <v Speaker 3>exactly what it was, but she was cutting that promo <v Speaker 3>and it seemed like a babyface promo. <v Speaker 4>She was saying, you know how this is a new year. <v Speaker 3>She's turning into leaf, all this good stuff, and then <v Speaker 3>she kind of went healish a little bit, and then <v Speaker 3>Italia came out. But then Italia was kind of acting <v Speaker 3>healiss in the ring and like how she was responding. <v Speaker 4>So I was just so confused. <v Speaker 3>But Charlotte is kind of one of those characters where <v Speaker 3>you can kind of not do anything with her, and <v Speaker 3>then all of a sudden she shows up and it's believable. <v Speaker 3>She can be away for a month or whatever and <v Speaker 3>then come back and imagine face Becky for the title, <v Speaker 3>you know, I mean, ideally is that what we want? <v Speaker 3>Of course not, but it's it makes sense. So but <v Speaker 3>right now I don't really see anything that they can <v Speaker 3>actually do with her on raw. <v Speaker 2>Do you No? I think that that they're kind of <v Speaker 2>been a holding pattern with Charlotte. They have something in mind, <v Speaker 2>and they're just treading water and spinning her wheels until <v Speaker 2>they get there. I don't know if it's a returning <v Speaker 2>Naya Jacks who apparently is close. Maybe we'll get a <v Speaker 2>hint at the Women's Royal Rumble match. We keep you know, <v Speaker 2>we didn't really touch on that, but the Women's Royal <v Speaker 2>rumbo match. Certainly, I think there's gonna be some returns. <v Speaker 2>It's gonna be interesting to see what NXT women are <v Speaker 2>included in that, as NXT has now solidified themselves as <v Speaker 2>a third brand rather than just kind of the breeding <v Speaker 2>ground for quote the main roster, which I think is <v Speaker 2>pretty cool. Uh yeah, I think that they're waiting for <v Speaker 2>someone that they have in mind to get to the <v Speaker 2>Royal Rumble, to interact with Charlotte, to get her to <v Speaker 2>that story that they've been thinking about, because she's just <v Speaker 2>kind of floating around with Italia. There's there's not a <v Speaker 2>whole lot happening, which is odd because I look at Charlotte, <v Speaker 2>as you said, I don't know how to feel about her. <v Speaker 2>Some you know, she's still calling herself the queen and <v Speaker 2>telling people to bow down to her, and I don't know. <v Speaker 2>I'm kind of neutral. And I know that WW likes <v Speaker 2>to go oh, there doesn't need to be good and <v Speaker 2>bad guys, the shades of gray. Well, when you do that, <v Speaker 2>you also care we ate a kind of a lackluster <v Speaker 2>reaction because people don't know how to feel, so you <v Speaker 2>need to have defined characters. And again maybe this is <v Speaker 2>by design, as they just kind of go through the <v Speaker 2>motions of Charlotte until they get to where they need <v Speaker 2>to be at the rumble with whoever she's going to <v Speaker 2>be going into a major program with. And yeah, I <v Speaker 2>love Oscar and Becky. That is a match that bothered me. <v Speaker 2>It didn't just bother Becky. It bothered me to no <v Speaker 2>end last year when they had her win against Becky <v Speaker 2>who is going to the main event against Ronda Rousey. <v Speaker 2>And I still don't agree with that. I still don't <v Speaker 2>understand it. Yeah, And I think it's just a happy <v Speaker 2>coincidence that they went back to this match. I don't <v Speaker 2>think this was by design that WWE said, oh well, <v Speaker 2>we'll have her face Oscar and we'll remind the fans <v Speaker 2>of what, you know, what happened here a year later. No, No, <v Speaker 2>I think this is a happy coincidence. And ww kind <v Speaker 2>of stumbled into this like, oh yeah, that's right. Oscar <v Speaker 2>beat Becky last year and now Becky has a loss <v Speaker 2>to avenge. So I think it's just kind of just <v Speaker 2>as as Bob Ross would say, a happy accident. And <v Speaker 2>I really I believe that. And I think that this <v Speaker 2>match could easily steal the show if given enough time. <v Speaker 2>They work extremely well together. I remember their match that <v Speaker 2>they had last year before WrestleMania, and I think that <v Speaker 2>there's a lot that they can draw from. I'm looking <v Speaker 2>forward to it. I like Becky's authentic kind. I don't <v Speaker 2>want to say fear, but a little bit lack of <v Speaker 2>confident confidence against Oscar, who's had her number and she <v Speaker 2>hasn't beaten Osca, So I don't know. I'm really intrigued <v Speaker 2>by this. Do I think Oscar's gonna win again? Not <v Speaker 2>a prediction show, but she has the women's tag belt. <v Speaker 2>They're not gonna make her a double champion. Oscar's just <v Speaker 2>not in that position right now. Unfortunately, I think this <v Speaker 2>one's kind of a lock too, as we were kind <v Speaker 2>of doing a prediction show before the prediction show, but <v Speaker 2>some things are just so damn obvious, and it's I <v Speaker 2>don't need the shock value of doing the opposite thing <v Speaker 2>just for shock value. It just doesn't make sense for <v Speaker 2>Oscar to win. But I'm expecting a hell of a <v Speaker 2>match come eighteen days from now. <v Speaker 4>Absolutely me too. <v Speaker 2>So well, Ashley, I'm really glad to have you back. <v Speaker 2>I know that the listeners are glad to have you back. <v Speaker 2>Hopefully things calm down in your in your personal life. <v Speaker 2>The next time that we be talking, tell me things <v Speaker 2>are good and that things have calmed down, you're back <v Speaker 2>to a regularly scheduled programming in your life. I can't wait. I feel like I <v Speaker 2>just had my predictions show with that. Actually, yeah, so <v Speaker 2>I'm looking forward to it. We'll be talking either that's <v Speaker 2>Saturday or maybe early well, no, one have to be <v Speaker 2>probably Saturday, because Sundays for me are just a disaster <v Speaker 2>until later in the evening.
