I don't even try. Uh. Other movies, people saying Anchorman that would have been yeah, oh yeah, Wolf of Wall Street. That'd be tough because I would be falling in love with Margot Roby Robbie, Like there's I don't think there's ever been a more beautiful person than Margot Robbie was in that movie. Yes, wouldn't you do anybody disagree with that. 00:01:57 Speaker 5: She's up there. She's up there. 00:01:59 Speaker 4: Sorry, you're standard Billy like, she's up there. 00:02:02 Speaker 2: He's getting married in a couple of months. 00:02:03 Speaker 4: Who is who do you have? Billy? 00:02:08 Speaker 5: From dust till dawn? Sama, hike? 00:02:10 Speaker 4: And that was a very specific well, I mean from dust till down. Yeah, that's where you'd like to be. 00:02:18 Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, I love my fiance though. 00:02:22 Speaker 6: Uh nice recovery. 00:02:24 Speaker 4: Thank you. I didn't ask you, Lord of the Rings to New Zealand with the Lord of. 00:02:39 Speaker 6: Here as quickly as possible. 00:02:41 Speaker 4: Lonesome Dove, that would be a good That would have. 00:02:43 Speaker 2: Been a good one, probably a fun one. 00:02:45 Speaker 4: Yeah. Well, but also just being out on the rains. Yeah, with what Robert Duvall And was it Tommy Lee Jones who was in Lonesome Dove? I think Robert Duvall was. What about Dark Knight right before what's his Heath Ledgers? 00:03:03 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:03:04 Speaker 4: I think it would be weird to be on those movie sets where people are method acting and they stay in character. 00:03:09 Speaker 5: Oh, I'd hate that he did as the Joker. 00:03:12 Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean if you imagine like having to deal with Woking Phoenix as the Joker. 00:03:16 Speaker 5: Or Abraham Lincoln didn't he do that. 00:03:18 Speaker 6: Jim Carrey, Jim car Kaufman. 00:03:22 Speaker 4: Yeah, Abraham Lincoln, he did that. 00:03:25 Speaker 5: Daniel day Lewis, Yeah, he did method acting. 00:03:27 Speaker 4: For that Aden character. Is it Abraham Lincoln? 00:03:30 Speaker 5: I believe so. 00:03:31 Speaker 4: You just act like he'd never seen a phone before. 00:03:34 Speaker 5: He takes it very serious, keeps the top. 00:03:36 Speaker 4: I'm fascinated by this. What did he do cause like that movie was filmed in the like twenty ten. You said, no, he was just going to be He just was Abraham Lincoln in daily life. 00:03:48 Speaker 5: I think so. So he was honest aid to everybody, not just on the set. 00:03:52 Speaker 4: I mean, if he's going to really do that, he would have had to be fascinated by everything he saw, like he would have never seen a call before. 00:04:00 Speaker 7: I don't think you take it like that. We're gonna drive you, sir back to your hotel. What is this crazy contraption? I don't think he completely could have done that. Shannon's right, Jim Carrey did that and made on the Moon. So anyway, all right, one version rights, Matt. I feel like it's been a depressing few weeks for UK sports. So here's a question for you all. Give me one thing to be very. 00:04:27 Speaker 4: Positive about UK athletics, no reservations, just something to be positive about, and the answer can't be will Stein. Okay, good question, Ryan, I'll start with you. You tend to be the most positive of us. Give us one thing to be positive about in UK athletics right now, and it can't be Will Stein. 00:04:47 Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go basketball. I think the basketball team we have right now, although they're not a Final four team, I think it could be a team like Mark's first year that just fit and won us over and we enjoyed watching him plays about the season. Like I said, don't think they're go Will. 00:05:00 Speaker 4: Because there's a lot of caveats for I want something positive. Just bam. Okay, this is gonna be a fun team, fun team. 00:05:08 Speaker 2: A team we're gonna enjoy watching and fall in love with that we did Mark's first team. 00:05:12 Speaker 4: All right, that is very positive, Billy? What would you? What's something possible? 00:05:16 Speaker 5: I think Kenny Brooks will be in the Final Four in the next three years, if not this next year. The recruiting class they have coming in, Clara Strack, coming back transfers from Alabama, Yukon, and another program that's escaping me. I really do think they have the town Jack's daughter. 00:05:32 Speaker 4: It took mine. That was what I was gonna say. I think that's I think that's actually a really good pick because I think Kenny Brooks is I think this year and then the next year. I think he's got two years of the chance for us to be really good. Oh yeah, I mean, because they keep getting these top recruits and as they stay So I like that one. Shannon, what about you. 00:05:51 Speaker 3: We've got a new athletic director coming in. I think it's somebody whopefully go ahead and somebody who's going to fully embrace the nil Era transfer portal that we live in. 00:06:02 Speaker 4: Man. For my two I was I was very alike. I was very big on the new athletic director because I think I think they have a really good notion of what needs to happen going forward. And Man, I like that one. 00:06:23 Speaker 2: Do you have an update when that announcement may happen. 00:06:25 Speaker 4: I don't know, but I do think, like I feel after some conversations I had this week, I feel much better about whoever that I don't know who they're gonna hire, but whoever it is, I think I think people are in the right thinking mindset of what they need to do, which makes me makes me pause. Man, you took my. 00:06:47 Speaker 6: Too, Well, that's what you get for taking my tickets. 00:06:51 Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't say. I can't say will Stein, so I'll just say I think. I mean, I said this a couple of times. I think we're gonna have some really special days this coming year in the fall, like this, like the Alabama Day, in the LSU day. I think they're going to be good, feel good days that this fan base needs after sort of because you know, I mean, I think we're gonna look back at last year and say that that was one of the worst calendar years for Kentucky sports. I mean, if you kind of go through it. The football team was a disaster and we had to replace the coach. The basketball team had a high high expectations and was disappointing. Baseball team is strugglingsfball team, softball team is struggling. The women's basketball team was pretty good but not didn't quite get over the hump. I guess you know. Volleyball was really good. So that was kind of any of the whole stuff with Mitch and all that, And it is worth noting. Did you see the comments today? Andy Vasheer made Andy Sheheer took it to another level about the university yesterday, he said, the university leadership at Kentucky needs to realize, quote, this could all end in a very different way. Wow. 00:08:05 Speaker 2: He said this yesterday and he. 00:08:07 Speaker 4: Used the example of U of L how all the people kind of got fired. 00:08:12 Speaker 5: That is very strong. 00:08:13 Speaker 4: I don't know where he said that, because I think he just said it, like on a random radio interview somewhere, but he used the phrase could end in a very different way. 00:08:23 Speaker 2: I'm surprised. 00:08:24 Speaker 4: That's a very threatening. 00:08:26 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm surprised that I got more publicity. That's a pretty strong statement. I mean, for the the governor, isn't that kind of a strong statement. 00:08:36 Speaker 6: It definitely is. 00:08:37 Speaker 4: I mean, he's basically seems like he's saying, if you don't watch it, Eli, you're gone. 00:08:43 Speaker 5: Very public with his criticism. Has he not sort of cryptic? 00:08:47 Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I guess. 00:08:49 Speaker 2: His statement last time kind of himself. 00:08:54 Speaker 4: For himself. But I think it's important to remember you do have to look at a lot of the stuff that happens over the next couple of years. Is this is a guy that is going to run for president, and you know the perception of quote unquote cleaning up UK Athletics or UK whatever. I mean, you could see how somebody would find that appealing. So I didn't hear where he said it, but I did read that quote. I thought that was pretty strong. All right. It is Oaks Day. It's a tradition that we always let Kentucky Joe. Come on here, Kentucky Joe. How are you? 00:09:36 Speaker 8: I'm doing I'm doing well. 00:09:38 Speaker 9: It's up staying. 00:09:40 Speaker 4: Yeah. So you've been pretty successful at the Oaks. You had fate. What was it? She does the devil, She does the devil, she die. 00:09:51 Speaker 7: She dares the devil, She dares the devil. 00:09:56 Speaker 4: Now I'm looking at the at the group today, there are thirteen horses. Uh, there have been a few scratches, So thirteen horses. Kentucky Joe. Which horse are we are we going with? 00:10:11 Speaker 9: I mean the Derby you're talking about the dirt. 00:10:12 Speaker 4: I'm talking about the o the horse? Which is the race? We always have? You a man. 00:10:19 Speaker 10: I love Bradcok. 00:10:20 Speaker 4: I know you. 00:10:21 Speaker 8: Don't I go with uh, I have to go with number ten prom queins, to go with the prom queen. 00:10:29 Speaker 11: Yeah, that's what the eight eight to one I believe right now. 00:10:33 Speaker 4: So when you're in high school, the prom queen, Kentucky Joe, is that? Why? 00:10:39 Speaker 12: No? I think I tried to sing to the prom queen. 00:10:44 Speaker 4: She didn't. No, shot, it didn't. Wreaking news. 00:10:47 Speaker 8: All right. 00:10:48 Speaker 4: Actually, I'm really scared to ask this question. I'm about to ask ask it. But Kentucky Joe, do you have a song about prom Queen? 00:10:58 Speaker 2: No? 00:10:58 Speaker 4: I gotta I got. 00:10:59 Speaker 12: I actually got a song about commandment? 00:11:02 Speaker 4: What's commandment? Is that the Derby? Yes, the Derby? So you're gonna so you're picking the Derby? Is the number six horse commandment? 00:11:12 Speaker 11: M Yeah, yeah, I would have a ten six Oaks and Derby. 00:11:17 Speaker 4: So your Oaks Derby Daily Double is prime Queen and Commandment. Bet it all right, I'm in a place. I'm gonna tell you what, Kentucky Joe, in your honor. When I go to the track, I'm gonna bet that daily double for you. This it's for you, Okay. If we win, you get the money. All right. 00:11:36 Speaker 9: Oh that's kind of man. 00:11:38 Speaker 4: I'd like to do that for you now, and in return, you have to sing sing me a song about commandment. So I will hand you the floor. 00:11:49 Speaker 12: All right. 00:11:49 Speaker 10: So here we go. 00:11:52 Speaker 9: That's gonna be a little Elvis called run Run Commandment Run. 00:11:57 Speaker 4: So this is in honor of This is like an Elvis Presley style. Yeah, okay, all right. 00:12:04 Speaker 12: I love Elvis. 00:12:05 Speaker 4: Yeah, he loves you. 00:12:11 Speaker 9: He's a champion on the try. He loves to run his race. He's a t hossify and he's got a great bloodline to see. He's a print for winning effort. Commandmer is my host to win. Derby want depty to. 00:12:42 Speaker 8: Run commmy run. So the new thing that day? 00:12:47 Speaker 4: Were wrong? 00:12:48 Speaker 8: You have a serve to wear, garden of roses around your non You're a big tusty Derby prepres in the floor the commandment. You're the one the guard. 00:13:11 Speaker 13: Rose. 00:13:13 Speaker 3: Ya. 00:13:17 Speaker 4: I hope you all we go good? 00:13:19 Speaker 8: Did? 00:13:19 Speaker 4: I didn't hear a lot of Elvis in that. It was seemed more like you. But I'm sure that commandment appreciates your your dedication. 00:13:30 Speaker 8: Amen, Amen? 00:13:32 Speaker 12: Amen? He I think commandments also an actors. 00:13:35 Speaker 4: To commandments an actor. 00:13:38 Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, it was like it was I think I think the money is weak. In his uh uh prime his last workout. 00:13:45 Speaker 4: He was like, uh. 00:13:50 Speaker 10: You know, I mean you remember longing Bringer. 00:13:54 Speaker 4: Let's see silver. 00:13:56 Speaker 12: My guy to know. 00:13:58 Speaker 4: I thought commandments up in here, all right. I appreciate the call. I appreciate it. 00:14:04 Speaker 5: Joe, I do feel ready for the Derby. Feels like there was something missing now I'm ready. Joe is quite the lyricist. The words he puts together and the phrases and his songs. 00:14:15 Speaker 4: You have no room to talk about about putting words to I can maybe. 00:14:19 Speaker 2: Come up with a rhyme or two in my song was. 00:14:22 Speaker 4: Great, right, yeah, Prime Queen Commandment daily double uh is the Kentucky Joe pick. We'll take a break very back scans see. I think this was whoever put the music to this made. 00:14:36 Speaker 6: It a thing, right j Kyle Man, Yeah, this is shoot. 00:14:39 Speaker 4: Was always really good at Big Hit and this horse won it did maybe yeah, maybe Prime Queen will win as well. 00:14:48 Speaker 2: That's what Yeah big Hair said, if this horse would win, he would retire. 00:14:53 Speaker 4: But he didn't. He'll be on here in ten minutes. Hey, if I'm nine eighty seven, did play Elie made yesterday? 00:15:00 Speaker 2: Ellie is on fire right now? 00:15:02 Speaker 4: Unbelievable? That play was unbelievable. He started at shortstop and ran all the way to the other side of second base and made the play. People I don't know, sleep. 00:15:11 Speaker 2: I guess all those people wanted to move into the outfield. They're like, I got to realize, Okay, the dude is developed into an outstanding shortstop. 00:15:17 Speaker 4: He's unbelievable. 00:15:18 Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what the radio team was saying, and that defensively this year he's just been great. 00:15:22 Speaker 2: He's been amazing, unbelievable hitting home runs. He hit ten home runs in a month of age. 00:15:26 Speaker 4: I wanted to get your tip, your take on this. The Major League Baseball Network did a breakdown of Ellie Okay and Harold Reynolds. You remember Harold. He said, they always teach kids when they play second base and shortstop to get down into a position. Right, Is that how they taught you? 00:15:43 Speaker 2: Yep, get ready. 00:15:44 Speaker 4: Harold Reynolds said, I hate that they teach kids that that's not how to do it. He goes, think about it, if you get down in a position in order to start running, you have to stand back up again, and you waste a half a second. He was like, watch Ellie. He stands straight up so that he can make the first move and then goes down and gets it. And he was like, that's why Ellie's so good. He's the first player I've ever seen actually do what you're supposed to do, which is stand straight up and not get down in a position. What do you think of that? 00:16:13 Speaker 2: It's a good argument, But you're down, like when you're leading off first base or you're a track runner. You're down, squadded down to make a quick first step, your quicker first step, I think if you. 00:16:23 Speaker 4: Are, that's not what animal said. 00:16:25 Speaker 2: Well, Harold is wrong. He played for the Seattle Mariners. He doesn't know. 00:16:27 Speaker 4: Anything than you. 00:16:29 Speaker 2: I think the majority of the baseball players in the major leagues. 00:16:32 Speaker 4: He will is good because he doesn't do that. 00:16:35 Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think you get a quicker first step if you're kind of squadding down a little bit. 00:16:39 Speaker 4: What do you think you can do that? 00:16:40 Speaker 3: If you're playing short stop or second base, you've got more time because you're playing farther back. If you're in the third baseman, you got to be down because I mean, that's the ball's coming in hot And. 00:16:49 Speaker 4: That makes sense to me. Yeah, but that's what he said about second basis surs Now, Now, you make a good point. When people steal bases, they usually are in a squad. Yes, but that's just what I'm just telling you what Harold Reils said, quicker first step, That's not what Harold real said. All right, let's go through here. Let's talk to some of these people really quick. Let's go to Adam, go at him. 00:17:09 Speaker 12: Hey, what's some man? 00:17:10 Speaker 10: The really uh my favorite movie is The Godfather. I would have loved to be on there. You already mentioned Malon Brando and Robert de Ball who both were on there al Pacino, Robert I'm sorry at al Pacino. 00:17:27 Speaker 4: Yeah, and Robert DeNiro, like all of them. If you go the second one, he's on there too. 00:17:32 Speaker 10: And also the shooting locations are La, New York and Italy. So yeah, awesome place to be in of totally, I really want Mark Pope to work. But it's this, It's a thing that the more the further we get in this, like I feel like we're digging a hole, Like how does he even get out of this? 00:17:58 Speaker 4: He gets out of it by when at this point I appreciate the call. I mean there's really I don't think there's gonna be anything he can do right now from a PR perspective that's gonna win people over beyond. I mean, he can there's some things he can do to make us excited going into the year. But at the end of the day, he's got to win, and he's got to win, and he's probably got to win more. He's probably gonna have to overperform the talent of his roster because the secondary things that could have gotten people excited, like getting Stokes or getting Rob right or whatever, like, he didn't do any of that. So now and then they also have to make a concerted effort to make this place feel cool again. I mean, we can't. We feel we don't feel cool. We feel like we're significantly less cool than the other power programs. So now can he fix it? Yes, but it starts with winning. He's got to win. And then I think he's got to be better at talking to fa like all the things that I think he should be really good at he kind of got away from in the last six or eight months. He's got to get better at that. 00:18:59 Speaker 2: Maybe I finally gets a roster of finalized, maybe he'll get to do some of that, get into some of that this summer to kind of win. 00:19:04 Speaker 4: Try. I think it would be nice to tell the fans whether or not the roster's finish. 00:19:07 Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know if there's anything besides winning that could get some fan of the fan base back. 00:19:13 Speaker 4: But I don't matter what, you're not gonna be able to get the people that are the most negative. But there's a lot of people who want to believe that just need him to give reasons to believe. I still think the vast majority of fan base. There are some Pope haters, but I think the vast majority of people really want him to succeed, and they just need something to kind of latch on. 00:19:32 Speaker 3: If they could play anybody in the off season, just to be able to see the team play somebody, I think that would go a long way and making people it'll help. 00:19:38 Speaker 4: But we have that Purdue win last year. That's gonna make everybody skeptical no matter what happens until the first real game will go ahead. Will because it looks. 00:19:49 Speaker 13: Like the NCAA five year proposal thing is going to go through. 00:19:54 Speaker 4: Yes, I would like to. 00:19:56 Speaker 13: I would like to tweak it a little bit. I don't think the five years should start until you actually enrolled in a school. If you're a If you're a senior in high school and you're a pitcher and you've got to get Tommy John surgery. You you shouldn't be be penalized for having to sit out that year. But then on the back end of it, camp it to where you cannot play beyond your twenty fifth birthday unless But. 00:20:25 Speaker 4: They're doing that that Tommy John example you're doing, and I appreciate the call. They are building in a year of injury. That's why it's five years, like it's always been four years. So the question people would have is, well, why is it five They're giving you an injury year. Yeah, and if it's your first year, well then it's your first year. You get hurt again, your junior get hurt again, well then you're that's bad luck. So they're basically building in an injury year. And if you're fortunate enough to never have an injury, well five years you get. You get to play for five years, you get, You get lucky. But they're making it to where there are no more excuses. Basically, yes, and I actually think that's good. And I think you also have to remember it's not just about like whether it's good morally. It's their way. They think of this holding up in court because the thing that always gets them in court is they say well, why can't you give this kid an exception? You gave this kid an exception, and they have a hard time justifying one exception over the other. Now they're just saying, we give no exceptions except for military and religious, and I think in that respect, I think it gives them a better chance of it holding up in court. Chris, go ahead, Chris. 00:21:31 Speaker 11: Oh, yes, you mentioned Pope getting the team to perform. I was wondering, do you think the trio of Diallo and Wilkins and Moreno could be that trio or that core that he can use the build around to get the team to over fun because I can all right, well. 00:21:46 Speaker 4: Let me that's a great question. Let me make the case. All right, I'm gonna be this is not necessarily how I feel. Appreciate the call, this is not necessarily how I feel. So Mario, don't make this video to everybody's playing it all the time. But I mean, you can have it, but I just want to put in here that's not how I feel. I'm gonna be, mister optimists, though, what's the best case scenario. Diallo and Wilkins are a better backcourt than any of the other years he's had, which is possible. It's possible. I don't know that I think it's likely, but it's possible. 00:22:16 Speaker 2: Possible. 00:22:17 Speaker 4: Braidon Hawthorne is a lot better than we think. Like Breidon Hawthorne is like a really good player that we just didn't know him. Yep, right, and so this idea of where's a star, he's a star, we just didn't know he was moreno takes a step up. Right, This kid coming from Italy is better than we think. Yes, Freeman is your workhorse, pounding big guy. Trent Noah makes shots this year. 00:22:43 Speaker 2: Cam Williams makes shots. 00:22:45 Speaker 4: Cam Williams is a lot like takes the step up. Yes, that's how the team's good. That that's you need all of those things to be true. And then if that's the case, I think this team can be like eight to twelve in the country, like a three seed or a two seed. I still you're not gonna be as good as Duke Florida and those teams. 00:23:05 Speaker 5: They stay healthy too. 00:23:07 Speaker 4: And stay healthy. That's right. You have all those things happen, then maybe it works out all right. Billy's got to run. 00:23:16 Speaker 5: Thanks guys, Happy birthday, birthday, Shandy back. 00:23:18 Speaker 4: Take your calls. Give away these gifts. Ut Big Hair makes his picks. Right after this. TJ Smith, personal injury attorney, called TJ. He'll make them pay. 00:23:27 Speaker 3: Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio present it by Stockton Mortgage. 00:23:31 Speaker 6: Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:32 Speaker 4: Welcome back. Takey Sports Radio. Spirit shares have plunged eighty percent as a report comes out today that the airline is about to close. Are you all sad? Do any of you five Spirit? 00:23:42 Speaker 6: I think I just did on the last trip I went on. I think that was Spirit. No, no, no, no, no, no, never mind, that. 00:23:47 Speaker 4: Was from Eligia. 00:23:48 Speaker 5: You were probably alos on Frontier Frontier Frontier. 00:23:51 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, all right. Jonathan Kitchen is here Ut Big Hair. He comes on every year at this time to make picks for the races. Jonathan, I'm a believer in you. You haven't had the best record on this show. Shannon is a hater on the show. Shannon is always saying Shandon says you, Shannon says you never get one, right, am I right? Channing on this show. I mean maybe outside of the show, but not on this show. Jonathan, I believe in you. Is this the year of redemp shit? 00:24:17 Speaker 13: I hope so? 00:24:17 Speaker 14: I mean it's funny because Shan's so nice on the pre call when he calls me to tell me I'm coming on, He's so nice to me that. 00:24:24 Speaker 13: I know what he's talking aboud about. 00:24:27 Speaker 4: Well, he doesn't talk bad. He just says, you never get one right. 00:24:29 Speaker 6: I'm just reading the stats. 00:24:32 Speaker 4: I hear you. 00:24:32 Speaker 14: It's look, it's it's it's it's it's why it's so much fun. It's twenty horses in a race. 00:24:36 Speaker 8: It's tough. 00:24:36 Speaker 14: I think last year I picked journalism, but I'm certain I said a lot of nice things about sovereignty. I made a lot of money in the race. That's what that's what's tricky about. 00:24:44 Speaker 13: We need you to. 00:24:45 Speaker 4: Make money for us. We need you to make money for the people on this show. 00:24:50 Speaker 10: I understand that. 00:24:50 Speaker 13: And here's the thing. 00:24:51 Speaker 14: It's it's a tough race to pick one horse. Some years it's like that with American Pharaoh would justify it was pretty simple. This is a year where I I do believe there's five horses out of the twenty that can win. I'm gonna pick one of them, but I do believe there's five horses that can win, and I will be playing multi race bets pick sixes, pick five's all those types of things exact as if you're playing at home trifectors. I do believe that one of these five horses will win the one really go hang on, let's. 00:25:21 Speaker 4: Start with the Oaks. Give me an Oaks winner, first Oaks win. 00:25:25 Speaker 14: I actually love a horse and the Oaks, and it's a unique opportunity. Dave Portnoy owns Lovely Gray, and all of the stoolies are going insane in betting Lovely Gray, and Lovely Gray is six to one and she should be fifty to one, and she's six to one right now. So there's a bunch of value on a bunch of other horses. Let's see what happens. 00:25:43 Speaker 4: I'm saying. Everybody's stupidly going with Portnoy's toy, of course, and that gives opportunity. I like that. So what do we pick? 00:25:52 Speaker 14: I like the five meaning eight to one right now, meaning should be four to one. We'll see what happens, Like I said throughout the day, but I love meaning at that price. I think that Michael mcclauthy is one of my favorite trainers in the world. I thin he's outstanding. Can Trade journalism last year, who won the prefess. He's trade a lot of other good horses as well. So I like meaning, you know, and if she stays eight to one, I mean that is an opportunity that I won't be able to pass up. 00:26:17 Speaker 4: Shandon, are you going to be meaning? No? I like what you're saying. You're due. Maybe you do, and I feel like you need meaning in your picks, and so I think it's perfect time. 00:26:29 Speaker 8: Now. 00:26:30 Speaker 4: Now it's Kentucky Joe, who has always gone head to head with you. He picked prom Queen. What do you think of that? 00:26:36 Speaker 14: He loves he loves brad Cox everything the devil. 00:26:42 Speaker 4: Yes he does. 00:26:45 Speaker 14: Uh, yeah, I don't. I don't love prom Queen. I think if you're looking for an alternative to meaning, I think maybe a horse like Explorer. Uh, is a little bit interesting down on the inside of the one of the four counting Stars. Maybe a little bit interesting. But I'm gonna I'm gonna h my wagon of meaning meaning. 00:27:01 Speaker 4: All right, there you go. So now now let's go to the derby. You have five horses. First of all, give me the winner, all right. 00:27:09 Speaker 13: The winner. 00:27:09 Speaker 14: In my opinion, the horse I think is going to get the best. Trip comes down to trip a lot in the derby is the eighteen further Ado. Kentucky Joel like that trained by Brad Cox, so Kentucky Joe won't have a problem with that. 00:27:22 Speaker 10: He gets Johnny Velasquez, one of. 00:27:24 Speaker 14: The greatest riders of all time, and Johnny is perfect fit for this type of horse. He's that kind of stalking up close fit, three wide type of trip, and Johnny will be able to work that out. People are going to tell you the horses have never won from the breaking from the seventeen hole. Even though he is the eighteen horse. He's just scratched down to the seventeen. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. These horses don't know what gate they're breaking from. It's completely coincidental. 00:27:51 Speaker 4: All right, So further Ado. Now you know my strategy, which is I take the three favorites and I throw one of them out. Right now, the three favorite it's a commandment renegade. You're picking further Ado. So do I throw out renegade or do I throw out commandment? 00:28:07 Speaker 14: I think the one if you're gonna throw out, would be renegade. And it's not so much for me about the fact that he drew the rail. A lot of people are going to talk about the fact that he drew the rail. His style shouldn't matter. He comes from out of it. He's gonna take back, make one run anyways. He's not going to be in a situation where he's unfortunate down there, at least you would hope not. It's more for me that he's gonna be a little bit over bet. There's been some mixed signals about how he's been working leading up to the race, and so that's enough for me. 00:28:35 Speaker 15: If you want to throw one of. 00:28:36 Speaker 14: Them out, to throw him out. 00:28:37 Speaker 10: He's one of my five that I'll use. 00:28:40 Speaker 14: He's one of my five that I'll use. 00:28:42 Speaker 10: But he's not one that I absolutely So. 00:28:45 Speaker 4: You're telling me to throw out Renegade, we'll see if we do it. All right now, I need one horse between like eight and twelve or eight and thirteen to one that's gonna be in the top three. Which one is it? 00:28:57 Speaker 14: Yeah, it's one of my five, and it would be the twelve. Hold on the to the nine. 00:29:03 Speaker 10: Where's the puma? 00:29:04 Speaker 11: Let me get his number right here on. 00:29:05 Speaker 4: You I see it. The Puma, the puma. 00:29:08 Speaker 10: The nine horse. Yeah, the Puma. 00:29:09 Speaker 14: I think is very interesting. Uh is a horse that these connections won with Maje a few years back, same silk, same trainers, same owners, same rider. So uh, he's been he's been training really well, he's been working, he's been running really well. He exits that race that command was in down in Florida, the Florida Derby. So he's one that I think will probably get a little ignored and he should creep up a little bit in price, all right, I. 00:29:32 Speaker 4: Like the Puma. Then finally, the secret to my success on this has always been picking the right long shot, not necessarily to win, but to be in the top three. I think you gotta find one long shot you believe in. Which long shot do I believe in to get in the top. 00:29:48 Speaker 14: Three, I would say Golden Tempo, the nineteen horse trained by Street of a Woman's never won the Kentucky Derby. As a trainer, I don't think he's passed enough to win. But his style is one in which I think he's going to take back and while others are up there, you know, battling on the front end, he is one that can come pick up the pieces late. He's got a nice late closing and kick not good enough. I don't think to win, but he certainly is one you can get underneath in the trifector or a superfector. 00:30:16 Speaker 4: All right, so we I assume you're five. Are the three favorites Renegade, Commandment further Ado, the Puma, and what's the fifth one, Chief. 00:30:23 Speaker 10: Wallaby the twelve horse. 00:30:27 Speaker 4: Yeah believers, Yeah you like the but see you like those are the five best odds. 00:30:32 Speaker 14: I mean you you know what though, But see, here's the deal. I don't like waking up on Sunday morning having lost money. It's it's very it's a depressing thing. As much time and energy we put into this, there's certain years where you can pick one. There's certain years you have to be realistic and understand that whoever gets the best trip out of those five horses will win. 00:30:52 Speaker 4: Jonathan ut big Hair. I like all those picks, I think, I especially like the Puma. I'm feeling the Puma is being part of it. Uh, I appreciate it. We're gonna get a winner out of this. But you if you got it, if people only have time to do one further Ado right further, he. 00:31:10 Speaker 14: Will always give you one of the under car to kind of get you get you going. Race eight tomorrow, Race eight tomorrow, the sixth, crude Velocity. I love crude Velocity in the eighth tomorrow. 00:31:21 Speaker 4: Crude Velocity in the eighth tomorrow. 00:31:23 Speaker 2: We got that right, throw it down, crude Velocity. 00:31:26 Speaker 4: Crude Velocity, Jonathan, I'll see you later today. Thank you very much, my man. 00:31:31 Speaker 11: Take care. 00:31:31 Speaker 4: Guys. There we go. 00:31:33 Speaker 2: The dude obviously knows what he's talking about. I just crossed my finger. He didn't say my horse, you mean obviously he he knows the game. 00:31:42 Speaker 4: So mean, why are you? Why shouldn't you? Son? And mean? 00:31:46 Speaker 2: I'm being honest. 00:31:47 Speaker 4: You know that. Yeah, it's still kind of mean. Debbie, go Debbie, Debbie, what's your pick? 00:31:52 Speaker 2: You probably know. 00:31:55 Speaker 15: Well I don't do horse racing, so uh, I got pretty quick things. 00:32:00 Speaker 8: Uh. 00:32:00 Speaker 15: First of all, if you love sunshine pumps, that's why you love Mark Pope. He talks a whole lot, but he never really says says anything, and about ninety five percent of his vocabulary's adjectives. Second of all, can we please not say will Stein? Can we please not say will Stein is going to be great because he's one of us? Because it sounds way too much like he understands the assignment and I never want to hear that again. Vince Marron, Vince Marrown needs to start his own social media company and call it Vince Social so he can express off his own unique views. 00:32:38 Speaker 2: Wow, Debby, Debbie Downer. 00:32:43 Speaker 4: Debbie just does smackdowns on people, which is heavy. 00:32:50 Speaker 2: We just talked yesterday how the female fans need to be more positive and supporting of Mark Pope. 00:32:54 Speaker 4: Well not Debbie. 00:32:55 Speaker 2: Debbie ain't in that club. 00:32:58 Speaker 4: Wow, Debbie. All right, Devy bringing the heat. All right. If you're on hold and you want either the THEO Vonn tickets or the golf scramble, stay on if you don't hang up, so Dave, Mike, Bob and Terry if you're interested in those, stay on. If you're not, hang up. For the rest of you, we now have open lines. Ef I'm nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. If you're in either theovon or golf scramble, open up the line. Shin and Bob and James down get off the phone because you're not playing in the golf scramble and you don't want to go to THEOVONN. I know that, Bob, I know you don't want that he if I'm nine to twenty two eighty seven, he's hanging on which of those could he want? 00:33:47 Speaker 8: Shit? 00:33:48 Speaker 6: Maybe both? Maybe he wants to play golf with you. 00:33:52 Speaker 2: It's great, get a save golf cart for five hours. 00:33:56 Speaker 4: Just give Bob thirty seconds so he's done, Bob real quick. 00:34:00 Speaker 12: I got some for me and I'd like to be in a Blue Brother or movie. And I hope those people down at Maria get some justice when they dragged that Weaver dude back kicking and screaming the London Federal Court for the death penalty. And that's all I'm gonna say. Yeah, he said if some player on the team were to hit a grand Slam during the year, he would eat a chicken wing because that player's favorite food were chicken wing. Okay, he hit a chicken wing. Two days hit he hit a grand slam. He didn't hit a chicken wing. He hit a grand slam. So with eighty year old Jim Palmer, for the first time ever ate a chicken wing. Wow, and he said he thought it was too greasy and had too much skin. 00:37:49 Speaker 6: Well, he didn't get ks bar chicken wing. 00:37:51 Speaker 4: He should have a good chicken wing, but he had been eighty years old and had never eaten a chicken wing. All right, Shannon, eliminate one. We have a quick Patino, Clara by Mara, hatty trotty, cat scratch fever, ropodope. 00:39:56 Speaker 6: Clara by Mara. 00:39:59 Speaker 4: You don't like Claire, but very few people will try to get the women's team, you understand, but it's you know, the mayor. All right, sorry, glennam all right? And then Jeremy, so you got Ryan? Right, So that leaves quick Patino and Hatty Trotty. 00:40:33 Speaker 2: Those are the two best ones. 00:40:35 Speaker 4: So what do we picking? 00:40:37 Speaker 6: I like quick Patino. 00:40:39 Speaker 2: Shan and I both kind of like perked up when he said quick Patino. 00:40:43 Speaker 4: But it doesn't have anything to do with a horse. 00:40:45 Speaker 2: Well, the horse is quick. Yeah, look out of the gate. 00:40:48 Speaker 4: I see yeah. Okay, okay, So you're too gonna vote for quick Patino? Yes, Mario, what would you vote for? All right, so it's gonna be quick Patino.
