So just talk to me about that, like what was your decision in telling us like who key Key really is? 00:02:37 Speaker 2: Well, first of all, we must free I'm so sorry, comes father God Evernily King, We thank you so much. I'm calling Okay and John Michael to please guide us and protect us and remove any blackages that we turn our way, and help us only speak the truth, nothing but the truth. Thank you God. Amen. 00:03:29 Speaker 1: Okay, Wait, so you're very spiritual. 00:03:32 Speaker 2: I am very spiritual, and I'm kind of weird a lot of like I know, you guys see me on the show where I'm super like fun, but I'm kind of like a learner most of the time. Like I held trees, speak to the beach. I can spend hours on the beach, talk to the sunrise sun said. Yeah, I like spending time with myself. And yeah, you know, I'm like a praier warrior too, and people don't really see that side of me, but they just seem like, oh, she's crazy. I'm like only if you know on my phone it's all like praise. Yeah. 00:04:04 Speaker 1: Is that something that you were doing as a little girl growing up in Haiti with your family? Was that like embedded in you from your mom? 00:04:14 Speaker 2: I started, I started as a Christian and then yeah, from my mom's side. My dad was never really a church type of person. My mom still is, by the way, but I feel like in my team, it was like in and out. You know. I've been through a lot of churches. Some of them we can say cold, you know, but no one really know that side. But I mean sometimes when things happen to you in life and they kind of put you in such a dark path, you don't have anything else to rely on but prayers. And I can manifest that through prayers. I get me through, And especially now, I only really mainly lean on prayers now. So I'm always praying. 00:04:59 Speaker 1: I know people find it, but no, I'm the same way I pray. I pray like hundreds of time today. Yeah, I'm always talking to God. I'm always you know, thank you, oh. 00:05:09 Speaker 2: For sure for sure, because I just God, you know, your your guides and your ancestors. Also they with you. 00:05:14 Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yeah, yes, my mom's in heaven along with my grandmother's grandfather's. My grandmother's birthday was yesterday. I told her, like, happy birthday. I think you're celebrating. So I agree with you. I think it keeps you connected to a to just like a higher power source. 00:05:32 Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, you know what I'm saying. 00:05:34 Speaker 1: No, but I love that about it. 00:05:35 Speaker 2: A lot of people don't understand. All you have to do is just like call on your you know, just you call on them. They there. 00:05:41 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you are gorgeous, Like as a little Haitian girl, did you know that you were a beautiful person? Like were you aware of like how stunning you are? 00:05:57 Speaker 2: Actually? 00:05:58 Speaker 1: No. 00:05:58 Speaker 2: Growing up in Haiti, I was always called Zopope, which is it's almost like a little Barbie but skinny, which and Haiti, the way I was raised, being skinny was not really a thing. So I used to get picked on a lot. But there was always two group. One group kind of like telling me, oh you too skinny, your eyes my eyes like very watery. They will call me out. But then you have another group that like, oh my god, like you could totadly be like ceiling gion you can be a model, you can this, you can that. So that vision I always because the thing is, I've learned to learn how to remove the negativity and focus on the positivity because if two sides of people telling you wrong and right, I try to stick with the right side that's telling me, oh, you know, when you get to the US, you can always you know. So it become a dream like Okay, well here in Haiti, they're literally mocking me because I have long legs, i'm skinny. But then there's another group that's like, when you go to the US, you're gonna be making, You're gonna be big, You're gonna this, You're gonna that. So I always knew I was gonna be somebody. I just didn't know that I will have to go through all that chaos to get here where I am today. And this is just the beginning because I'm a very positive person and it's gonna happen. You just have to keep manifesting it. And I'm very strong. I'm manifesting my own life because I've been to space where I don't even know how I make it out, but I read it through and look where I am today. 00:07:28 Speaker 1: Now you're doing so well, when you came to America, How old were you? 00:07:33 Speaker 2: I was thirteen going on fourteen, and I tell people it's fourteen, but thirteen going on fourteen because I'm like, it's like when you're like middle age, you big one. Yeah. 00:07:42 Speaker 1: Was it a culture shock for you? Were you like, did you love it where you were? 00:07:46 Speaker 2: You? 00:07:46 Speaker 1: Were you frightened when you came to America? 00:07:48 Speaker 2: Was it? I was supposed to come here as well? First of all, I was one of the smartest girl in school in Haiti. I was like first in my class. I was like one of those students that you skip certain classes because I was so smart. You know. My dad, my dad had his life together in Haity, was a businessman. I was in private school. Life was good and Haiti. So my dad's main thing was we're gonna bring her to the US. Just I was supposed to come here for three months. Three months, that's it. And when when I decided to come and I stayed with my stepmother, she was only supposed to have me for three months, and I think when my dad ended up changing his mind, that's when things changed. Also because she was expecting me to only be at the house for three months. And then here I am now decided to be like, oh we're going to school, we're staying here, and yeah. 00:08:36 Speaker 1: Oh wow, So you get your brains from your dad. You think what your brains, your smartness, your business is not what you know. 00:08:45 Speaker 2: I'm I'm learning to become a business person, you know. I mean, some of us we have to be the face of the businesses. Not all of us were, you know, But I've been. I've been the faces of many businesses, but I haven't really explored that side yet. And nothing to hide, you know. Some of us are better in businesses, some of us are. We we have to learn, you know. And I'm surrounding myself with groups of people not that I can learn from because I always tell this. I even say this to Mary, so it's never too late to learn. And it's no. No question is a dumb question because no matter how crazy it sounds, does the person don't know? Because that's why they're asking. All you have to do just answer, don't mark them, don't in front of them. Just because you know the answer doesn't mean that everyone have to know the answer. So I'm not afraid to ask questions. I always ask questions, and I'll be a business woman some day. But right now I'm learning. 00:09:40 Speaker 1: When you came to America, where the. 00:09:43 Speaker 2: Kids did you said America? 00:09:45 Speaker 1: America? 00:09:45 Speaker 2: You said America America? 00:09:50 Speaker 1: I think your mind I was English silent? Now you ca America? There you go. Were the kids nice to you? 00:10:05 Speaker 2: The kids were always, oh, like general kids on my life, like the kids in school? 00:10:10 Speaker 1: Like was it? Were they nice to you? Did you get bullied? 00:10:13 Speaker 2: I remember the kids were nice in general. Because I feel like when I came here as a teenager, it's I don't know, I just I kind of started looking cute, like a little you know, just a little bit of I don't They were not mean, okay, And I didn't speak English. I still don't speak English. 00:10:37 Speaker 1: So wait, when you came to America from Haiti as a thirteen and a half year old girl, you spoke no English, of course not. 00:10:45 Speaker 2: I don't speak French. I don't speak English. And mind you and Haiti, if you don't speak French, it's almost like you're like from the lowest class. That's how they classify it. So I mean, my dad put me in the best school. I could have learned friends, but I don't know, I just felt like it was not easy. I can read it, I can write it, but for some strange reason, it's very hard to speak it. So I was always a strong creol speaking person. And you know, I don't know. I came here the people were not too mean, but I can't complain unless you were not horrible to me. I'm not gonna complain about that. 00:11:25 Speaker 1: So how did you learn English. 00:11:28 Speaker 2: From people's mouth? I mean a little bit in school, but I tried to. Here's the thing with a lot of Haitian people, when they come here, they stick together. And since a little girl, especially after I got kicked out, I was like, you know what, one thing I'm not gonna do. I'm already the black ship of the family. I'm gonna make friends that speak no Creole, and I don't care if I understand or not what they're saying. I'm still gonna go ahead and hang out with them. And that's how I learned. And it's still bad today, but still I can have conversations. I just super heavy accent, and you know, sometimes my word get miss misconstrued or lost in translation. And this is why if I'm speaking to you, if you interrupt me, I lose what I'm going to say because I need to take time to process the word that I'm trying to say. And some of the girls on the show they helped me. Sometimes. Mary Soil has been a very good helper, and sometimes she's like, no, Kiki, that's not how you say. This is how I say it. And some people will get upset. But I'm like, no, this is great ive datement and they correct me. I love that, but I know some people they'll pubably take offense to it. I'm like, no, I love to learn. It's okay. 00:12:37 Speaker 1: Why did you get kicked out? 00:12:39 Speaker 2: I got kicked out because first of all, I felt like my stepmother really didn't want me there because she was expecting me to come for the three months and I ended up staying. And second that's when I was like, you know what, I really remember what they were saying, and Haiti that you could be a model and that maybe I should kind of like try to explore it, and me exploring it. You know, when you're here, you don't really know how to start modeling. You don't have to go to an agency, so you kind of like I was using model Mayhem, like, you know, trying to find photographers to shoot with and I'm shooting and someone will be like, no, you have to shoot like this, stopless or this and that, and then I was just excited showing the pictures, like look, I'm going to be a model, and she just didn't like it. And I remember my dad was traveling back and forth. He wasn't Haiti at the time, and she called him and said, look, she's literally going out there. She's turning into a prostitute, she's becoming she's taking naked photos. She's that And my dad just said. She didn't even talk to me. He just said kick her out. But that's saysan parents. But for me, I didn't talk to my dad for a little bit over ten years because of that. That's because I felt like you could have at least listened to my side. You did not listen to my side of the story. You just listen if he had just give me a chance to explain, because at that time, I always I also felt like people never let me explain myself. And it's still happening to these days. It's like, this is why I don't talk, because I'm like, well, who's gonna believe me anyway, so might as well just whatever. So so I've learned to just let things go and just be like, I know my truth. But yeah, my dad, he didn't listen to me. So and I said, if you're gonna treat me like that, then I will not talk to you. And once I say I cut you off. My cutting game is very strong, especially if I feel like I didn't do anything wrong. And I don't care if you're my dad, my mom, sometime your family. You don't know what kind of deities, what kind of monetary spirit is going inside them that turns them into demands or I don't know, just because they're your dad or your sister or they doesn't mean that this person is for you. Could have been someone from your past life coming you make your life miserable. I don't know. But all I know my cutting, I love it. I will preach no, but that's what I'm saying, Like, sometime you be your own people, yeah, and I will cut you off. 00:15:09 Speaker 1: Yeah, and not think twice about it. 00:15:11 Speaker 2: That's me. 00:15:12 Speaker 1: I love that about you. So here you are you in America. So when you came to America, who was with you? 00:15:19 Speaker 2: I mean, I'm the first child, so I was born before marriage. So my dad met my mom when they were super young. My mom ended up getting pregnant her mom her family because her mom died when she was eight years old. Her family kicked her out, so she had to go live with my dad family. So living with my dad family, they kind of didn't really like her because she was not the rich, beautiful girl that they wanted my dad to end up with. So my mom had On the same day my mom had me, my dad ended up coming to America. Like he literally stopped at the hospital, saw my face and came to the US. Coming to the US many many years later, he became a US citizen, went by to eighty with his new wife, and my mom is like sitting with me, and it's like, well, I never broke up with you, but this is my new wife. Everyone and Haitian people, any Haitian was watching this will know the way they are is if you come from America, they kind of already put you up there. So my mom stood no chance. So to this day, my dad never say to my mom we break up or it just it just happened. Yeah, So this is what it is now. My mom is here with me, who cares. And another thing that my dad did that was funny to me, which was not funny. But I remember coming here and I was like, wow, you're bringing me here, so maybe my mom is next. He was like no, no, no, no, no, I'm bringing you here. Your mom now become your responsibilities. And this is where it gets stuff when I got kicked out, because I had not only had to provide for myself, I had to also provide for my mom. That will start over there. So with all of that working and stuff, I never really had a chance to even go to college because work become my main focused so and I think part of that is with my language barrier two, which yeah. 00:17:09 Speaker 1: Where did you go we got kicked out? 00:17:11 Speaker 2: I went to my Auntie Anti Monique and Bumbach home and Aunti Monich was really really nice, but the thing with her she had already had her tribe of children, so she can give me a place to stay, but she couldn't really take care of me. And that's when I started working at Burger King, and Burger King has been good to me until it was not. I still love Burger King, but he wasn't very He was the people that works at Burger King. As a little girl, they see you, then they pray on you, not pray on you, p r e y And as a youngerl you know, like I don't know any better. And then I had to like go to work and they'll put me in like the worst shift ever, like the worst shift with like one am. I'm like walking back home just so for them to try to you know, and yeah, yeah, that was a tough time. 00:18:09 Speaker 1: This is reality with the King and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show. We got a tough life kick here. 00:18:17 Speaker 2: Yeah, but look where you got me. You know, sometimes it's when you go through the toughest time. It's even my dad said this, he broke the football you'll see in one of the episodes. He was like, well, my dad is sarcastic, just like me. Did I say that right? Sarcastic? He was like. I was like, yeah, that you kicked me out you this and that. He was like, well look where he got you. Look at all the cameras around. 00:18:43 Speaker 1: Thanks the. 00:18:47 Speaker 2: Credit for That's not the best way to take credits, but it is what it is. 00:18:52 Speaker 1: What was modeling like for you, Like were you a part of like the world world, where like Tyra and Naomi were like at the top of the game. 00:19:04 Speaker 2: No, this is the thing with modeling. I feel like just because there's different levels today, right, just because you're not in Naomi doesn't mean that you're not a working model. You know, some girls make so much money, but they're just not on the cover of every magazine. They're just not on the face of every billboard. But they still getting all these jobs coming in and they're making millions. So I was in the space where I was making a lot of money and I was booking a lot, like I made a leading through modeling. But I feel like I was the now Mi Kemball of Haiti. Yeah, that's that's the way to put it, because every single Hitian you know, will be like, this is our Haitian now Me Kemball. Yeah, So I mean, I mean they have now Me here Haiti. 00:19:55 Speaker 1: Guys, kick be clear clock that. So, how did the Real Housewives of Miami come about? 00:20:08 Speaker 2: Well? I will tell you, But first, did you also know I did beauty pageant? You did? I represent Hates so well? I was one of the first ones. Yes, I did. But anyway, how did the Real Housewave of Miami came about? I? I okay, for Gertie's fortieth birthday. She was tending forty. I was I was with well not whatever. For Gertie's fortieth birthday, she had this huge party. She ended up connecting with me on social media on Instagram, and she was like, hey, you fabulous, Oh my god, you Haitian. I'm Haitian. You want to hang out, I'm doing this party like. She was super lovely, and I ended up going to the party. I met her there and then that was the time that we hang out, and then I went home and I ended up moving from Miami to Europe. So as I was in Europe, I was engaged. I was over there living my life and I made it's an Instagram post talking about it's my birthday. I got flowers. I got this because I don't show up. I don't show so if you're never gonna find my personal stuff in my story, but if it's my birthday, I'm like, oh, I got rosies. I got this because I'm not the tap that will open the shoe box and be like, look, I got new shoes. You won't know if these shoes are from twenty nineteen, or if they do you say twenty nineteen, yeah, or if they're from twenty twenty five. So she basically saw my post and she was like, oh my god, Kiki like we She pretty much recommended me to cast for the for the show. 00:21:51 Speaker 1: So when she saw your polls. 00:21:53 Speaker 2: She forgot that. She was like, oh my god, you fabulous you you Haitian, you engage, You'll be greatfu for it. And I was like no, I'm like I'm too private for this. This is like no, I'm not going back to America. And she was like no, no, no, no, no, no, no no, no, you should try. You should try. So did the first casting and they loved me right away, and then you know, it's a whole process, but these were like the first step, like if you didn't like get if these people didn't want you, wouldn't even get to the whatever, you know. So fast forward they wanted it, and I was like, how did I get this? Because I don't think I'm funny, you know, like yeah, I'm like okay. So then I decided things were not working for me over there, and I ended up moving back to Miami and yeah, and that's how I got referred to the show. It's still girty wow wow. But I came in as large as friend. 00:22:56 Speaker 1: That's gonna be. It was weird because I, first of all, let's be clear, Miami Housewise is that girl. Yes, I was speachless. This show was good. So I've been watching. 00:23:16 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a very good girl. 00:23:17 Speaker 1: No shade to the first iteration of it. The first two or three seasons, I tried to get into it. It just it just it's just no. But then it was off the air for seven years and then it came back and I'm like living in Miami at the time, and I'm like, I was living here. I was living here, and I was like, let me see these girls are doing. And the first episode I said, oh, this show was everything. So that's why I'm surprised. I didn't know Gerdy referred you to this show because you came in as Larcen's friends. 00:23:48 Speaker 2: Well, there's your whole back story to it. Okay, it's like your whole backstory. So when me and Gerty were supposed to start the show everything, it was like, We're so excited the two Haitian girl, we gotta gold with queens, with this, with that, and then it kind of take a left turn. I think part of it was because like I, you know, I spoke cruel to her. That's that's my understanding. I think she got upset with me. The reason I think part of that is I spoke Criel to her and and she did not like that. I don't know what her side is because I'm from what I'm hearing. There's a whole other side of it, but this is my truth. And from that she just decided she was like, well, I don't want to you know. 00:24:33 Speaker 1: We were this was this on camera or. 00:24:38 Speaker 2: It was off well, me speaking Creel to it was on camera. I never made it to the exactly. But then it just I was like, wow, we not together, you know. I was just asking questions and I find out like and I was like, okay, well the other girls are my friends too, so and that's how I ended up getting very close with larsa closer because I had already know some of the girls. I got closer to Larsa, a, Mayito and Alexia. And this is why if you go back for the three seasons, you're gonna always see Gerdie, Nicole, and Julia together. 00:25:13 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:25:14 Speaker 2: And I was always with the other people, and this is why now it's like, ok is kissing me. I'm like, but if you look back. These are the girls that I was always with, And it's not that I'm kissing their follows. These girls not only they've been having my back, but I fight them too. You don't get to see everything, you know how it is like it's a big it's a big gas Like it's like, what forty five minutes too, it's big. You don't get to see everything. So, yeah, that's what happened. 00:25:42 Speaker 1: Did she explain to you why you spreaking creole to her offended her? 00:25:48 Speaker 2: Not really, you can ask her that. But so you felt the distance, Well, it's not that there was a distance. It was like I just felt like while we not, like, wh are we not doing scenes? And I find out, oh and just look back for the three season and look back. But we worked it, we walk through it, We'll walk through it fast forward to this season. We were like, you know what, Nicole decided not to be around, not to be around, and we were like, you know, everyone's asking for both of us anyway the past. Let's move forward and you're gonna see us a lot this season. Everything is cool, Everything was supposed to be perfect until. 00:26:43 Speaker 1: I do want to get into that because you know, when we see and by we meaning me and the audience. What I love about Miami especially is because of the different cultures. And one of my favorite parts of Miami is when Marisol and Alexia break off in their commonization speaking Spanish, and I think, to me, as a person who does not speak Spanish, I love. 00:27:06 Speaker 2: That I'm even learning Spanish from them. I'm speak Spanish to me. 00:27:11 Speaker 1: I love it. I love when they break off and they speak, you know, in their native language. So I'm assuming with youtubeing Haitian, it was sort of like, oh, that would be dope to see you two speaking, and. 00:27:23 Speaker 2: Even if you did it, I would have loved to even, like up straight like they say it like that. Like I said, I love to learn, but maybe some people don't. They don't like I don't know, but we're all different. 00:27:34 Speaker 1: Yeah. So you have been the fan favorite since the show premiere. Everybody loves some Keiki. People have been begging you to be full time, to have a mohedo. Well, we saw the top of season seven it was you diving into your personal story and honey, we all loved it. And then all of a sudden, we started to really see this situation happen between Gerty and Julia U and one of the biggest moments of the season obviously is when Julia threw the drink towards Gertie's direction and everybody like gag and you were in the middle of it. There's a lot of people and I even said this to Kiky, just being honest, where we were like, oh, Kiki, what are we doing? Like, you know, there's there are people who have said. 00:28:25 Speaker 2: Oh, trust me, I get the backlash, but I'm like, I have no idea, So let me start with this. Gerty was always super close to Julia and Nicole. You've seen it. I was always closer to the other girls, not saying that we're all not friends. We're all friends, but the other girls always mix space, like to make sure that they get me with them, you know. So what happened when I find so me and Gerty we decided, I'm just I decided. I was like, you know what, we're gonna pass. Let's move forward. We've been hanging out, we have been I've seen her at events, We're taking pictures, were posting together. We're good. And then now it's like everybody was asking for me to have personal scenes and I was like, you know what, you know, even though you barely see me on that side, I was like, come on, come on the boat, let's let's whatever do our things. And I find out what you guys donna see is that I find out that her and Julia was having problems. Julia told me, Gertie told me, and I'm like, here's the two girls that I was not the kind of like closest closest to. They were besties at one point. So I feel like, as a friend who's now in the middle, I'm always the one in the middle of everything, and I said, I can bring these two together. So at Mary'sol, even when I came in and Gertie came in, I was hoping that they could talk, and I sat down and between them as you can see, hoping that everything will go the way it goes. But I can contry what Julia decided to do. Julia decided to do what she did, which was horrible, by the way, horrible, and what you didn't see. We all speak on it. It was horrible. But however I got water thrown at me too. Carlos. I always tell people this, what I did for Gertie is the exact same thing I would have wanted a friend to do for me. I've done a lot of healing on myself. I've learned to remove myself from situation that can potentially get worse. Now, however, other people could have throw punchees, whatever they choose to do. That's them. But me what I did in that moment, I got up, Alexei, I take Julia. Gertie, come down. I'm even speaking quill to her. Come down. Because when things like this happen right away, I'm thinking, like I'm a thinker, I'm a Gemini. It's a to the next step. First thing I'm thinking is this is marysol wedding. Mary Sool is not gonna live. Alexia is the one putting the event together for Marisol. Alexi is not gonna live. Larsa has been friends with them for so long. She's not gonna live. Julia is now best with Alexia. No one's gonna leave Gertie. I'm willing to live with you. Let's remove ourselfs Come. 00:31:12 Speaker 1: On, you told Gerdy I'm willing to leave with you. 00:31:15 Speaker 2: I grab her, babe, Let's go. I said it to Crell to her. So you've seen it. You see the clip. Let's go Calm down, babe. When I say calm down, not because she's aggressive, not because she's screaming, it's calmed down, let's go. I got wet too. I could have go to hell with Julia. But in that moment, why make it worse when it's already the worst. That's how I think. Now, if anybody else think how they think, that's them. But that's how I think, because Carlos, I I was raised pretty much on the street. I've seen some fu somebody throw somebody at someone. Next minute, it's like you say something and then boom you get Now you're in the hospital, now you're dead. So I've learned. I've done the healing to learn to remove myself from situations like that, And if anybody else want to do otherwise, feel free to do it. But I did what I would want someone to do for me. Now my thing is, even though I remove myself, you decided to stay. You stay told everybody toss the whole thing mind you. I was fine with Gerd Carlos throughout the whole season. Even when episode one came out, we were talking. Episode two came out, we were at an even together for Netflix, taking photos posting episode three came out and I was like, Okay, I saw it. I said, I feel like, let me call her to check on her, because this type of things, when you have to relieve it, it's not easy to have to rewatch yourself. I called her. She didn't pick up. She returned, Michael, Oh my god, hey, babes, I was just calling to make sure that you know, I know how you have to watch your show again to relieve it. Have you seen the episode. I'm so sorry this happened. She just went, uh, I'll call you back. This was the last time I heard from Gertie. Okay. So, and that's when the threat started. That's when I'm being called I'm being called racist. Also, I don't all the Haitian people are on mind right now. How dare you not helping this? How dare you not? But I'm like, wow, yeah, so yep. And I'm not telling you this to feel sorry for me. 00:33:39 Speaker 1: It just nosten to somebody who is a producer of reality television, and you're talking to somebody who knows how that ecosystem works when it comes to social media. So you're not listen. You're no one's victim, and you're such a strong woman. I feel horrible that. Look what you said to me makes a lot of sense. That's that's the choice you made in the moment you were there. We were not listen you said it. People would have done things differently. What I think I'm just shocked at because I didn't know this obviously was the fact. 00:34:20 Speaker 2: Have you ever seen me aggressive? I'm always been the one like guys like, unless you piss me off, I say what I need to say and then I let it go. Yeah, because all of that is energy, and I don't give that away for free. My energy is my money. That's my cash in the spiritual realm, I'm rich and uping realm, and I don't give away that for free. Or I don't give that away for free. I don't give away that for So that's why I don't. I let things go, and you're not gonna find me set media on there ever we coming. I don't do it because I know my truth. 00:34:59 Speaker 1: What I what I'm surprised is because again I didn't know this was the fact that after that incident happened. Because I wanted to ask you too, like, did you did I'm sorry, did Gerdy ever come to you after that moment happened in real time and say, I felt you. You didn't do this for me. 00:35:16 Speaker 2: She did, she did, and I told her, I said, look, I cannot believe you are even calling me a bad friend. And mind you, at that moment, Gerdy knew that she didn't know I was getting death threats, but she knew that the ment like I was getting, like the anxiety and depression was like I had a high peak because of that I'm going through. I was going through with families. So, like I said, what Julia did was unspeakable. But sometimes just because you don't speak about your battles and this is our people mistreat people because just because you look happy, you're trying to be there for the person son and they just assume you have nothing going on. I was in my dark cast moment. Okay, I'm sure you probably started episode. I was already going through that. None of the girls know because I don't like to dump my on other people. But I did kind of tell Gerty even way before, girl, I don't know what's going on, but the anxiety the depression is like and I remember she was telling me about her the heat things she have, uh which which I sympathize with her. What is it, you know when you get the heat wave. 00:36:39 Speaker 1: Like all the menopause no flashes. 00:36:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, And I remember she was telling me that too. I was like, I don't know, man, this is a lot, you know. So we talk about that. I was going through my while all of that was happening, and I'm like, I just I just need to live. You don't want to leave. I asked her, let's go, because I was willing to live with her. Do you think and the other girls on My Friend too, I'm like, let's all live with you, let's go. 00:37:11 Speaker 1: Do you think because obviously you and Gerty are the two black women on this show A mocks non black women and this white woman throws drinks on the two black girls on the show. Do you think the audience wanted to see just the two of you have solidarity, come together as one. And because we didn't see that that, people are now blaming you. They're saying that you're kissing up to the white girls. In the Spanish girls on the show, they said you did not have Gertie's back like a real sister. What do you have to say to those people who feel like you did not stand up for your black sister. 00:37:51 Speaker 2: Listen, they are monitoring spirits, okay, because when you done so much chilling on yourself, you getting into a timeline where everything is like going good for you. People will try to come to just and I don't let this thing attract I don't let all these negative comments. I don't even let them affect me. But my thing is these people can think however they want to think at the end of the day, as a human being, I know what I did. It was from my heart and it is what it is. If they want to do something differently, that's them. And I understand they want to see the two black girls together, yes, but at the same time, do you also want to just want to see the two black girls that get because you have to understand for me also, it's a trauma thing when things like this. It could have been anyone in the cast, not just Gerty. I would have done the same thing. That's the way I need to put it. It could have been anybody that would have been my exact same reaction. So they want to see me throwing punches. I'm not gonna be fake. I got wet too, But just because I got wet, I also know that that water was not aim at me, So me punching Julia, remove yourself in the situation, because we'll have plenty of time to speak to Julia. And people are gonna get mad at you regardless if you don't do what they expect you to do. Carlos, what can I do? After that whole incident, she didn't call me. I was like waiting on a call, and then I'm starting like guessing, like, Okay, maybe if something else happened or you know, because I'm like, I don't know, we live, You're gonna see like nothing happened the whole season with her. And I actually was closer to her this season than any of the other girls that I was even closer to, And not until I saw a post that an interview that she did. And then on the interview there was a comment that was made that she made and somebody wrote it down and posted say said by Gertie, and the thing said that I tried to hold her hand and portray her as the angry black woman. I was like, what, I'm like, It's one thing you being called racist by the audience, they don't know it's okay, But for you now to even take it to the next step by making it seems like I'm also an actual isn't that what you mean? You're American? That's that's pretty much saying that I'm she. 00:40:32 Speaker 1: So you're saying Gertie made a comment saying that during that moment to. 00:40:37 Speaker 2: Read it to you, I haven't sure I'll show it to you. 00:40:43 Speaker 1: Okay, So she made a comment about you. You're you holding her hand and you were pretty much trying to make her seem like the angry black woman. And for you, as a black woman, you just felt like, wow, it's one thing for the audience to think one thing about me. Now you're pushing You know, you and I both know what this is. 00:41:05 Speaker 2: Like. This is not funny. Do you know how hurtful it is to have Haitian people calling you non Haitian when you're like the most Haitian person. 00:41:13 Speaker 1: You know, the Haitian community is upset with. 00:41:18 Speaker 2: You pretty much a lot. You know, it's it's and it's like wow, because I've always been very Haitian. It's not a competition. But anyone who knows me know I stand up for my country. I'm all Haitian, Like I will go to Hadi for breakfast and come back for dinner. And it's like it's one thing for the audience defense to speculate whatever or think whatever they think, but for you to know where we at. And then you went on and made that comment. That's when I was like, Okay, I see what's going on here? 00:41:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, when was, well, we know you I tape the reunion, so but prior to the region taping, when was the last time you and Gertie spoke? 00:42:07 Speaker 2: Well, at the reunion, I say what I needed to say, and then after that, I kind of like I said, I'm the type of person one s I sea my truth and I'm like, okay, I'm over it. I don't hold That's why I'm always going to look young. I don't want to grudge this, you know. So you know, normally after renial we all kind of like, you know, so I went to her and say hi and whatever, and that was the last time I spoke to her. 00:42:33 Speaker 1: You recently unfollowed Gerdy. 00:42:36 Speaker 2: Why I unfollowed her? And a lot of people are speculating that it was after the region it was before the reunion. I think people find out after it was before, and part of it was because of that comment. Because I'm like, Okay, now I see you for who you are, because this was not the way to go about it. I didn't like that comment at all because if anyone know me, I'm not racist and don't want to be portrayed like that. And it's up. It's up, and I'm not here playing victim or anything. It's up. Especially I'm like, what's the issue here? We know we gotta throw shed, we all got to do this and that. But what did I do to you to make you to make me to make you you know what I'm trying. 00:43:21 Speaker 1: To say, Yeah, no, to make you say something, but sometimes you know. 00:43:24 Speaker 2: And I decided to unfollow because I was like, sometimes you just need a break. You just don't want to You just need to cut that cord for a second and breathe and regroup. So I need a break. 00:43:40 Speaker 1: Gertie responded and said, oh, I didn't know that, and I see that I'm not following you either. Did you block me? 00:43:47 Speaker 2: Yes? 00:43:47 Speaker 1: So you blocked Gertie. 00:43:48 Speaker 2: Yes, I told you for me to. 00:43:55 Speaker 1: Listen, like, I love your honesty. Yeah, you blocked that. 00:44:00 Speaker 2: I block a lot of people too, like many many people, And I always tell people this, like I don't normally unfollow people or black people, not black people, block lock. 00:44:15 Speaker 1: Black people. 00:44:16 Speaker 2: But it takes a lot like for me to like get because I'm always like the one like you know. Of course, like I said, I can be tough. When someone says something to me, my comeback will always be like oh, But then I'm like, let it go. We're good. Now, we're good. But once I feel like, deep down, even if I had done something to you, was it really that heavy for you to call me a racist? 00:44:42 Speaker 1: Now? 00:44:43 Speaker 2: And I'm your own imagine, imagine I call you a racist right now. It's it's worse. It's one thing to call a white person racist, but it's another thing when you call your own black person. 00:44:53 Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm Aliston. I'm being racists before. No, now, so I can't imagine. Let's I will say this. I love Gertype. 00:45:03 Speaker 2: Surely I've experienced racism too, and I'm like, really, yeah, okay, No, it. 00:45:08 Speaker 1: Had to hurt because listen, I love Gerty, I love you. I love the fact that it was two Haitian women on the show. And look, it doesn't mean still. 00:45:18 Speaker 2: To Haitian women on the show. 00:45:20 Speaker 1: Yes, and of course listen, as a black person we were like, yes, like we want you all to be a team, and I'm just being very honest with you. Listen, we know that in some situations. It doesn't mean y'all can't not disagree, but I think for all of us we want some solidarity. We do want you guys to just you know, be respectful, and it does hurt. 00:45:41 Speaker 2: We do that. But the problem is people need to understand not everyone go around throwing punches not. We're all different, all nine of us. We make this group work because of different personalities. Okay, I can be like Alexia, like I can't. She's like, you know me, I'm more like whoa. You know, some of us are here and some of us are like calm down, like not or not all of us can be like Rise because we all have different personalities. Some people are controat and some people are a little bit more among the chill side. I don't respond to things that people do with being more aggressive, unless, like I said, sometimes I get out of and I'm like, okay, calm down, fix it. That's why I'm always the first one to apologize. Whether people are like oh yeah, she's always kissing, She's apologized. Listen, Sometimes you just got to be the bigger person, because when you know, when you apologize to someone, it actually helps you, not them. I agree, and people like, I'm not gonna apologies. I'm gonna hold it and we'll hold it in. That's why you're gonna keep getting all sort of diseases and all this and that because you're holding too many things. And how about you go by the bitch start screaming me Because I'm not shy. I will literally go and hugge tree and talk to the tree and be like take all my pans away. And people look at me like I'm crazy. I'm like, okay, yeah, but guess what I feel light inside? Yeah, you got to learn to release and let go. You can't judge everyone just by the way you will want to. Okay, how can I say it? You know how like let's say, right now, somebody do something to you. You will break this. You can't expect everyone to do the same thing that you will do. 00:47:32 Speaker 1: Yeah, oh no, So listen, what you're trying to say is this, you can't expect everyone. I understand the reaction that you would have. 00:47:40 Speaker 2: I understand the fan where disappointed. They wanted me to do more. But in that moment I thought I was doing more just because you want me to. You know, it just not within me. And like I said, I would have done the exact same thing with anyone. It's not a girty thing. It's not added this thing or that thing. That's how I am because I've done so much healing on myself. I don't get to that level. I try to fix situation unless I'm really, really, really pissed. You're gonna see that side of me, and then I'm the first. Just take me and Lisa as an example. Last year, you know, people was like going off calling Lisa all sort of nonsense. You know what I was doing. I was online. No, don't say this about her. She's not racist. Come on, guys, we're a group of friends. No Lisa, Lisa, She's no way. But imagine if I was like, yeah, yeah, you know, and that's my truth. Some people will do different and that's them speaking of Lisa. 00:48:46 Speaker 1: Is Lisa always that late? I don't know, Listena, I don't know too many people, Kiki that will miss a flight to Spain, maybe have to catch another plane and then a train and an automobile and a scooter. Like what is she like is that exaggerated. 00:49:10 Speaker 2: I mean, listen, Lisa is always gonna be Lisa. Okay, I've come to realize that Lisa, and I'm just gonna accept her. You know, if you can change them, I'm not trying to change anyone. Sometimes you just have to adjust to the person. When you try so hard it's not working, you just suggest them. 00:49:27 Speaker 1: Whose side are you on between the Larsa and Lisa beefs, Like, do you think Lisa should unfollow Marcus? And do you understand where lars is coming from? Or do you think lars is over exaggerating. 00:49:40 Speaker 2: Okay, I'm actually on Larsa's side, and I'm gonna explain why I'm on Lars's side only because Larsa introduced Lisa to Marcus, just like Larsa introduced me to Marcus. I was following Marcus. Marcus was following me also, even though when Larsa and Marcus broke up, Larsa and I were not in a great place. Like like I said, everybody thinks I'm like always like with the girls, but they don't understand I fight these girls too. You don't see everything. Larsa and I was not in the best place, so I was like, no, because she introduced me to him, it will be weird to even stay in touch with him, because at the end of day, this is my friend. Women not be in the best of places, but this is my friend. So I don't follow Marcus without even lars I even have to ask me. But with Lisa, I think Lisa should have done the same thing. Now with Jody, that's a different story. Jodey is a man. Lisa cannot control his decision. He built up a friendship with Marcus, that's them. But Lisa, however, her loyalty I feel like because Larsa was the one that introduced Listen, if you introduced me to the person you break up with them, are bringing up with them too? 00:50:49 Speaker 1: Period? 00:50:49 Speaker 2: That's it. That's that's you know. 00:50:51 Speaker 1: I don't know. 00:50:52 Speaker 2: Yeah. So just like we love Todd when he was with Alexia, now we can hit that. We love Lenny, now we hit Lenny. I'm that type of friend. You're with them, I love everything about them. You're not with them. I hate their gods. I'll probably just go out and when I see it, I'll be like, you are what's a horrible person I've ever met in my life? 00:51:12 Speaker 1: Do you think Todd and a lexiy I, well get back together? 00:51:14 Speaker 2: No, no, no, really positive. The thing is with Alexi, I feel like she needed even though all of us were like this, this isn't that and blah blah blah blah. I think she was not ready. She's like me, the whole world can tell you do this and do that. Unless you're ready, you're not gonna do it. And I think she's at that space now where she's like, you know what, I'm ready and she did it. Yeah, so now we're both single. 00:51:42 Speaker 1: You're a single. 00:51:44 Speaker 2: Excuse me? 00:51:46 Speaker 1: You don't have a man. No, you don't have like a like you know, do you have a benefactor? 00:51:55 Speaker 2: What the. 00:51:58 Speaker 1: Okay? 00:51:59 Speaker 2: Sound like that person? And then when you died? 00:52:03 Speaker 1: Okay? So a bee factor is when you have a man that you know you guys, aren't boyfriend, girlfriend, but he takes care of you. He gives you money, cars, Because I'm beautiful and supposed to have someone taking care of me. 00:52:22 Speaker 2: Get you back to reality. 00:52:24 Speaker 1: All the beautiful women in my life that I know, they all have a benefactor. 00:52:27 Speaker 2: Let me explain it to you. I broke off my engagement three years ago when I like two weeks before I started the show because that was like three four years. 00:52:40 Speaker 1: Yeah, three years ago, no, like yeah, yeah, like. 00:52:43 Speaker 2: Three three years yeah. So like when I started the show, I had just broke off my engagement, and after that, I did it people, but I just couldn't really connect with him because for me, it can't just be about looks and money. At one point it used to be that, but then I'm like, I've grown, you know, myself. And then after that, I feel like from all my previous relationship it was always like, you broke up with this one, someone's already in line. You broke up with that one, two weeks later, you're already with someone. I'm talking about serious relationship, like serious relationship. I will be with this one for five years as soon as I break up with them. Then I get with this one a week later, and I stayed with them for three years. And then do one from five years now. I say, oh, we only broke up for one week. I want to get back with you. I'm like, well, too late, because I'm already with that one. So it was kind of like that. And then after I broke up my engagement, I was like, you know what, maybe don't get into anything serious, start dating here and there and see. So I started going out on dates and then I saw that didn't work. And if you watch the last season, I said, oh, I ended up meeting that nice guy in LA And then I find out this guy, even though he was with me, we broke up. He went to his girlfriend and he broke up with her. Then tried to come back and be like, oh, I broke up with her, Can I get back with you? I was like, no, No, you know what I'm going to do. I'm going to take that time and heal myself, find myself because I find out the problem is me. I keep blaming everyone. Oh, yeah, you're wrong, You're wrong. But meanwhile I'm like, why do I always scape from this one to that one? And then they all last longer, But still why do I keep doing it? So I was like, let me take time for myself. So I decided to take some time for myself. And of course, and taking time for myself, it was the whole vibrated thing too. I was like yeah, and then after a while he gets lonely and then I was like no, then I just want celibate, focus on my spirituality and I've been celebrated. Yeah, since last year. 00:54:38 Speaker 1: You've been celebated for a year, for over year, for over a year. 00:54:42 Speaker 2: Actually March was a year. 00:54:45 Speaker 1: Yeah, do you miss it now? 00:54:48 Speaker 2: Because when you're focused now, become more like I want my kingdom spouse. Like I wanted to do the work on myself to really ground myself. Another thing, also, I feel like I was very copend copend. 00:55:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm called dependent co dependent. 00:55:07 Speaker 2: And I just was like, you know what if I start doing the things that I want other people to do for me, and I started to do them for myself, then I went to force people to do it because I'm already doing it for me, so I will attract what I'm doing. So I'm like, go, take off your own bill, take care of your car notes, take care of your kids, take care of this, and now domains are coming. They all got that together and it's me And I was like, I don't know yet if I'm ready because I'm doing everything. I buy myself flowers, I go out on dates. You if you ever seen me at a restaurant, buy myself being dinner. I don't think I'm crazy because I do it all the time. I have lunch by myself. I go to the beach. But everything that I would want I used to want someone to do for me. I do it for myself. Yeah, and that's my thing now so and I'm enjoying it. I'm looking younger, finer. No one is stressing me out. My kids are getting wealth and I'm doing it all on my own. No stress. 00:56:02 Speaker 1: You look good. 00:56:02 Speaker 2: I look really good. I'm sorry, thank you. I should think I should say I know, because why I'm like, why is it? Thank you? 00:56:10 Speaker 1: And I already know, like everybody should feel that way. Yeah, who's the most famous guy you dated? 00:56:16 Speaker 2: Oh? I can't say how famous? Is he very famous? 00:56:22 Speaker 1: Is he still on TV? 00:56:24 Speaker 2: Some of them are famous, but some of them are just high profile that I still can't say. 00:56:29 Speaker 1: Politics or movies or TV? 00:56:31 Speaker 2: Politics, movies not TV? Well movies are TV? Right? 00:56:38 Speaker 1: Music? 00:56:39 Speaker 2: Music? Yeah, but in the music, not the music. 00:56:43 Speaker 1: Not the artist. 00:56:45 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:56:49 Speaker 1: Yeah, give me an initialw no lot of it gave us NBJ. 00:56:57 Speaker 2: We all thought it was Michael Jackson or Michael whatever, and she, well, we got it right at the end. 00:57:04 Speaker 1: She was right. 00:57:06 Speaker 2: I thought it was Marchael Blixon. 00:57:08 Speaker 1: Buck Black, but I love her. Listen, this season is so great. I happen to love Stephanie. I love this season. I happen to love Stephanie, but there's like this love hate with Stephanie. What can you tell us about her that we may not be seeing on you know the show? Like do you like Stephanie? 00:57:33 Speaker 2: I mean, let me tell you something. I feel like sometimes you guys forget that. Sometimes I'm like, oh my god, I feel like nobody's listening to me. I'm not being hurt, so it's not you know, and I know girls saying this now too, but I'm like, I've been saying that too sometimes, like nobody listened to me. Nobody does nobody that. But Stephanie came came on. She went on and said, I actually I like you, but I think you talk too much about it. And I was like, well, welcome to the group. She came like the first thing she said to me, you talk too much about PEPPI. I'm like, she was, I love you, and she was like, I freaking love you. And she was like, look, you know what, I want to do something nice for you. I want to do this and do that, blah blah blah blah, and she was just nice and I was like, oh, okay, well this is what happened. When you start doing the healing work on yourself, people just start dropping, like you got a car, you had a car, not that she gave me a car, but you know what I mean, would I will take that dinner burken too. 00:58:33 Speaker 1: That no. 00:58:36 Speaker 2: Part of my healing is learned not to say no, except don't listen. If you don't count on me saying no, I will not everything. Yes, yes, please, can you make that double? Matter of fact, triple it. I'll take it. I'll take it to go. 00:58:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, let me tell you. 00:58:58 Speaker 2: Stepan is amazing. I think she's a very great addition to the group. She coming in hot, she's very strong. But I also think you know her working also, like she said, like she's like a very hard business woman. And you know, I love like that because I get to learn a little bit from each one of them, you know, believe it or not, I learned a little bit from every single one of the girls, whether they like it or not. I learned a little bit about everybody, not about from everyone. 00:59:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, there's been this big debate about who's the most narcissistic person on the show. 00:59:35 Speaker 2: Well, you know, I think we all have a little bit of narcissistic thread threat and us. But well, all I know, I'm not the most narcissistic one. 00:59:46 Speaker 1: Who is it? 00:59:47 Speaker 2: I don't know. I think some of them are literally like head to head, like right there, like who's gonna win? There's no space in between. Well, we have a few in the group. 00:59:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, how are things going with your son? Because I love seeing your children on the show. 01:00:02 Speaker 2: God, he's good. I'm actually dropping them off tomorrow because he's going He was here on for the summer at home. So he's going back to school for his second year now his sophomore year, which they're getting nicer home dorm or whatever. I've never been to college, nicer dorms and stuff. So I'm so proud. And tomorrow for him, I have to get up and drive him to school, and I'm missing already. Yeah. But my daughter started kindergarten today and she came home. She was like, Mom, I didn't get it. Was so excited we didn't have to go to sleep to that. I said, no, you're not going to go to sleep. This is no longer daycare. You and big girls school. Now. You wanted to go to big girls school so bad. She was so excited that she didn't have to go to sleep. She's like, we didn't have to go to sleep. Yeah, she started school today. 01:00:51 Speaker 1: Congratulations. Seriously, being a mom, I think is the most important job in the world. 01:00:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, a mom is very important. But it's very tough, especially it's a single mom because I've been taking care of my son since he was four years old. Like, his dad does not give one sense. And I remember a couple of years ago I finally was like, well, you know what, maybe I need to put you in back Chelsea. But he was like, well if you do that, guess what, I can actually get more money out of you now, Because I was like, okay, let's forget about this conversation. 01:01:20 Speaker 1: Yeah damn yeah, he is his father. Do they speak or he just now they speak. 01:01:26 Speaker 2: He loved his dad more than me, probably because since four years old, every single birthday, Christmas or I didn't say every Christmas for like many years, but whatever holidays, I will literally buy him gifts and say, your dad's on you this, your dad's in your money. Your dad. Because I was always the top that don't want the kid because it's not the fault. I didn't want the kid to think that his dad he's like not a good dad. Now we understands he's seeing the different, like I'm paying for this college, all the fees and stuff. So now he's like whoa, because you have to call me for everything. But before that, he love his dad. And I think, even though you know, doubt that is, that doesn't really help because he loves him so much, because I've never made the dad look bad, and that's with both of my kids. Why why mess up the kids' mental health for your own choosing the wrong men. It's not therefore, and it was not about choosing the wrong men because my son was born out of love. It was like playing like we're gonna have a baby, gonna this. It's just that just didn't work out. And some men just want to hold and I think I always peak the wrong man. Also because of my dad, if you see, he's a player, like and this is why I needed to do healing on myself and take time off and say, you know what, if you start doing the work on yourself, you're gonna stop attracting these holes or this. 01:02:47 Speaker 1: Yeah good for you, Yeah, good for you. That's very very, very smart and wise. 01:02:53 Speaker 2: Why were you so surprised that I'm celebrated you crazy because let's. 01:02:57 Speaker 1: Say you are gorgeous and you want to check. I mean, I'm not sure college you can, but because I'm sure there's all around, you know, throwing at you. Child Home Deeple, you know, well, I. 01:03:12 Speaker 2: Love home Deepot, but the whole house. 01:03:14 Speaker 1: Mela Delilah's kikiS on the river. 01:03:18 Speaker 2: I don't those type of I don't even want. Those are not the places that, even if I have to find the men that I will go to. And plus I'm in a space now like I don't even want to go find one. They're finding me period. 01:03:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, list said last question for you, would you like to be a full time housewife? 01:03:37 Speaker 2: You know, I came in on the show knowing that I was going to be a friend of and I'm like, I don't understand the concept. A lot of people always like, oh, she's just fighting this because she's trying so hard to be a man cast. I'm like, I'm so happy that God is blessing me that I'm around a nice group of friends I can call upon. We can cry together, laugh together, and do things together like this is exciting. Whether I'm a friend or make cast, nothing happened before it's time, and what do I have to lose, So it's better to start here and you can only go up from there. I'm always gonna look at it to deposit, so but I have no desire. If it happened, thank God, this is great, Thank you God, thanks for the blessing. But if it doesn't, I am grateful that I get to spend time with my friends and I get to do things I get. I don't get it, like listen, if it happened, I'm happy. If it doesn't happen, I am as happy as to where I am because I'm enjoying every single bit of it. And that's on my soul. I'm telling you the truth. 01:04:48 Speaker 1: I see it. Thank you, Kiki. That wasn't so bad, was it? 01:04:52 Speaker 2: It was so horrible, Gertie the whole half of the time. 01:04:58 Speaker 1: Thank you, My love, ladies and Jalapan Key key bart Yeah.
