<v Speaker 1>M wavery hell that wad Waverly Waverly Hell. Get education <v Speaker 1>for the than. <v Speaker 2>Waiver four Finger Discounted. <v Speaker 3>Welcome to four Finger discount the podcast where we always <v Speaker 3>order our chicken skins fried. I'm down, guys, I just <v Speaker 3>wring that one. <v Speaker 4>Now. <v Speaker 2>Forgot to write anything. Did chicken skins and chicken he <v Speaker 2>winged it? <v Speaker 3>I didn't did. Yeah, you've never been a fan of <v Speaker 3>chicken wings. <v Speaker 2>Not gonna lie. <v Speaker 3>I just never seen the fascination with it. There's not <v Speaker 3>enough meat on the bone for me there. It's just <v Speaker 3>you order my dad. My dad be KFC fan and <v Speaker 3>he's a big fan of They've got a thirty days <v Speaker 3>Christmas in July deal thing going at the moment where <v Speaker 3>every day is a new deal and they hook you <v Speaker 3>and they sent it the text and it's like nine <v Speaker 3>pieces of chicken for nine dollars whatever. <v Speaker 2>So I did it for my dad. <v Speaker 3>And he had four chicken wings four so he got <v Speaker 3>a nine piece deal and four of those pieces were <v Speaker 3>chicken wings. That's outrageous, all right, that doesn't say right? <v Speaker 3>It's crazy. <v Speaker 2>Everyone's going wings these days. Friends at MACS are introducing mcwings, <v Speaker 2>buffalo wings. <v Speaker 5>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I'm not a fan of either. I'm the chicken Tendies. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>just give me the meat. I don't have the bone. No, <v Speaker 2>that's what said. That's what my Tinder profile. No bones, <v Speaker 2>just meat. But we're here to review your one guy, <v Speaker 2>the bad boy. <v Speaker 3>Yes, also a bad boy indeed. Yeah, but you'll be <v Speaker 3>you end up just lik him or something. You'll revel <v Speaker 3>without a cause whatever it is, something like that like that. <v Speaker 3>But we're here to review Waverly. <v Speaker 2>Hills nine No. <v Speaker 3>Two to one, dope, uh something Waverley Hills shout out <v Speaker 3>to Weezer. Yeah that I could not find any info <v Speaker 3>whether they sang the song. It sounded like that, but <v Speaker 3>also sounded like a cover band, so. <v Speaker 2>It did very much. So I think you know, everyone, <v Speaker 2>everyone at a certain age might have a Weezer impression <v Speaker 2>under the belt or in the toolkit. So ye, yeah, <v Speaker 2>I've a bit. When I saw the title, I mean <v Speaker 2>the first the Weezer's on Belly Hills was not the <v Speaker 2>first thing that came to mind. The first thing that <v Speaker 2>came to mind for me was, dude, this of course <v Speaker 2>is the Belly Hills No. <v Speaker 4>No. <v Speaker 2>Two. I don't think you know what you know exactly. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I got there in the end, people will be going <v Speaker 2>what is he doing? What sort of noise does he make? <v Speaker 3>As you say, the best names are the ones you <v Speaker 3>have to explain. <v Speaker 2>Is he malfunction? Yeah? But Waverly Hills No. <v Speaker 5>No. <v Speaker 2>Two one dope? Yeah, the title that renames itself that <v Speaker 2>automatically wins the the guy name challenge. What do you think? <v Speaker 2>Initial thoughts of. <v Speaker 3>Sort of fun premise, although it was kind of forgettable <v Speaker 3>in the sense that and I get that that's the joke, <v Speaker 3>and that's the whole point is they're going to a <v Speaker 3>new city, right, But all the supporting casts that were <v Speaker 3>used to if the Simpsons weren't in this after the <v Speaker 3>first fives or so minutes, right, except the Skinner makes <v Speaker 3>an appearance, and all the characters they introduce are so <v Speaker 3>one note and bland. They've got no substance to them. <v Speaker 3>They're just forgettable, which in turn makes the episode kind <v Speaker 3>of forgettable. <v Speaker 2>I certainly see where we're coming from. Don't forget we <v Speaker 2>do have a bit of wiggam action as well, though <v Speaker 2>we do. <v Speaker 3>Actually that is right, yeah, but I want to touch <v Speaker 3>on that as well. It's actually kind of depressing that <v Speaker 3>that story for a reason. I'll explain but I liked <v Speaker 3>the Homer and Marge story because as someone who has <v Speaker 3>been married now for over twelve years, Yeah, I wouldn't <v Speaker 3>say you're desperately trying to recapture anything, but you get <v Speaker 3>used to get comfortable, right, yes, and sometimes you're sort <v Speaker 3>of seeking to try and recapture that feeling of the <v Speaker 3>first couple of months. <v Speaker 6>Oh. <v Speaker 2>Absolutely, the honeymoon phase. <v Speaker 3>The honeymoon phase, and that doesn't mean it you don't <v Speaker 3>love each other, doesn't mean that the sparks aren't there, <v Speaker 3>but it just means you can't. <v Speaker 2>Really you've transitioned into another mode. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. Absolutely, And seeing Marge and Homer go back to this, <v Speaker 3>it reminded me of Nichol and I went out. We <v Speaker 3>don't go out on many date nights anymore because we <v Speaker 3>have the kids and it's just hard. You work, blah <v Speaker 3>blah blah, and we don't make time for ourselves. We <v Speaker 3>went out on a date night about no two months ago, <v Speaker 3>and it was similar to this, where we went like <v Speaker 3>you could almost say margin humb rock role playing here. <v Speaker 3>We won't go to that level like that, but it <v Speaker 3>was just it felt like we were just young and <v Speaker 3>hanging out again, getting to know one getting to know <v Speaker 3>what was getting to nobody that kind of I know <v Speaker 3>what you're trying to say. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, they're just the recapturing. <v Speaker 3>We captured the vibe of when we're just first dating, <v Speaker 3>we're just out playing pool together, just us, you know, <v Speaker 3>no friends around, no kids, it was just us on <v Speaker 3>a date. That's what it felt like. Yeah, no, it's <v Speaker 3>and it was special. Oh no, it's a terrific when <v Speaker 3>that thing, yeah happens. Absolutely, Yeah, I mean, look, the <v Speaker 3>lovely Louise and I will endeavor to do that certainly <v Speaker 3>when we when we get a spare moment, because you <v Speaker 3>know she's got her kids as well. <v Speaker 2>Throws challenges at you. It's very easy when you first <v Speaker 2>meet someone and when you love someone to sort of, yeah, <v Speaker 2>fall into a bit of a routine. Particularly well, elsewhere <v Speaker 2>in the world, it's probably nice and warm, maybe too warm. <v Speaker 2>Here in Australia, it's very cold, or we call very cold, <v Speaker 2>what we call very cold. It's pretty cold. <v Speaker 3>Our main man, our patron, Jordan, mum and rich. He's <v Speaker 3>looking at us laughing. <v Speaker 2>Five degrees that's shorts where the buddy hard up whims. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, it's pretty cold. You're really kind of in <v Speaker 2>hibernation mode, you sort of don't want to do too much. <v Speaker 2>It takes a bit of effort and a bit of <v Speaker 2>concentration and go, no, we can't just sort of grow <v Speaker 2>and hibernate on the couch or whatever. You got to <v Speaker 2>get out and do stuff. The Lovely always has pointed <v Speaker 2>this out to me. I'm like, I think I just <v Speaker 2>want to stay in and hibernate. <v Speaker 3>Well, we just get where creatures of habit And especially <v Speaker 3>when you're married with kids, you just get into a <v Speaker 3>routine because it's easier to keep the kids under control <v Speaker 3>when you've got a routine. Kids need routine, right, But <v Speaker 3>because you've got the kids in a routine, you essentially <v Speaker 3>get into a routine and you just find yourself doing <v Speaker 3>the same thing day in day out, and you forget <v Speaker 3>to just make that time for yourself. So yeah, it's <v Speaker 3>very important that make time for yourselves. Because, as you <v Speaker 3>we said Homer inmage here, I really liked seeing there <v Speaker 3>was that first date night whether at the party and <v Speaker 3>he's talking about going in space and they're going back <v Speaker 3>to his players and that kind of thing. I do <v Speaker 3>think as the episode went on, it I sort of thought, <v Speaker 3>you're taking this a bit too Seriously, guys, it's kind <v Speaker 3>of like giving here the key to his apartment. I <v Speaker 3>was like, I get the joke, but y's a bit <v Speaker 3>far vest to this point. The additional date night I appreciated, <v Speaker 3>but then it got to the point where I was like, <v Speaker 3>has the key to the apartment? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're going it's going on here, You're going through <v Speaker 2>every stage of the relationship again. Yeah, okay. As we said, <v Speaker 2>the best jokes are the ones you have to explain it. <v Speaker 2>This felt like it was explaining itself as it went along. <v Speaker 2>So like the vibe, certainly, it's great to see these <v Speaker 2>two reigniting the spark. <v Speaker 3>I want to know what that music was too, that <v Speaker 3>was playing at the party. I couldn't find any notes <v Speaker 3>on Wikipedia for it, but there was. It's the kind <v Speaker 3>of isy you listen to when you're a young teen <v Speaker 3>or whatever and you just sure first romance. It felt <v Speaker 3>like a teen comedy kind of vibe. I really really <v Speaker 3>liked it. So I like that aspect. But as I <v Speaker 3>was getting back all the characters, so for example, the <v Speaker 3>two guys that live in the same just one note forgettable, <v Speaker 3>do even names? Ye don't even get names from That's <v Speaker 3>the thing they don't even name we at least the Caitlin's. <v Speaker 3>The joke is that they're yes. But besides that, no <v Speaker 3>one else gets a name. The teacher doesn't really get <v Speaker 3>a name. It's just all no. <v Speaker 2>I mean, the probably the one for the most personality <v Speaker 2>is French speaking Ralph. Yeah that is true. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. Now, Elliott Page formerly Ellen Page correct yes, plays <v Speaker 3>Alaska Nebraska, which is just a rip off Ofatana. Again, <v Speaker 3>just feels like a character that's just there to mock <v Speaker 3>something that was popular at the time. There's no real <v Speaker 3>substance to it. And if you're gonna have Elliott play <v Speaker 3>the character that they are known for is like the <v Speaker 3>character from Juno, why not just have a character like Juno? <v Speaker 3>Just felt weird having a Hannah Montana sque character, but <v Speaker 3>in Juno form. <v Speaker 2>Why not go the extra mile and try to get <v Speaker 2>Miley Cyrus. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it just felt so far fetched. I was like, <v Speaker 3>what is the point of all this? <v Speaker 2>You know? Yeah, it felt like a very let's pluck <v Speaker 2>various things from pop culture and to fill up space <v Speaker 2>to add texture to this particular episode. <v Speaker 3>But the Inspector another one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. The Inspector, you know, is a well basically a <v Speaker 2>ripoff or just looked exactly the same, look exactly the <v Speaker 2>same as Anton Shagul from No Country for Old Men. <v Speaker 2>Was it the Oscar winner? I think it was the <v Speaker 2>Oscar winner of the previously sure, yeah, all that year <v Speaker 2>the Hannah Montana, Alaska, Nebraska. Yeah kind of deal. That's <v Speaker 2>it just felt very These are things that are on <v Speaker 2>the Zegus quick quick quick way cool. Yeah, we're up <v Speaker 2>with what the kids are down with. I mean, essentially, <v Speaker 2>it's a very i won't say a played out plot, <v Speaker 2>but you know, reading reviews of this particular episode and <v Speaker 2>reading feedback about this particular episode, there's a lot of like, well, <v Speaker 2>haven't we seen Lisa in this season? You know, having <v Speaker 2>having to associate with quote unquote mean girls or popular <v Speaker 2>girls or whatever. <v Speaker 3>That's true, like two episodes ago. Yeah, that was literally <v Speaker 3>last episode. <v Speaker 2>Didn't we have in your You only moved twice. Everyone <v Speaker 2>moves to a new nameborhood, but it's not quite that <v Speaker 2>what they think it is, or it's not as good <v Speaker 2>as they hoped. <v Speaker 3>At least that's twenty years ago. <v Speaker 2>That's true. You might as well if you got to <v Speaker 2>recycle a plot, do one from twenty years ago, that <v Speaker 2>generation ago, generation ago. Absolutely not last week, but it <v Speaker 2>felt like, yeah, relatively, it felt pretty thin on the ground. <v Speaker 2>So it's like, oh, we've got to we've got to <v Speaker 2>decorate this Thredbear Christmas tree with some nice ballbles like <v Speaker 2>Ana Montana, like No Country for Old Man, all that <v Speaker 2>kind of business, and you're right, feels just a little <v Speaker 2>bit skimpy, yea, even though those bits were i know, <v Speaker 2>not unentertaining. I mean, I've got to say I was <v Speaker 2>really taken with the whole inspected thing, even if that <v Speaker 2>also a little bit played out by the end. But <v Speaker 2>when I first heard the character speak, I was like, well, <v Speaker 2>they actually got Havier Bardem to reprise his role. That's fantastic. <v Speaker 2>Wait to then credits Reese LaMarsh. Is there anything that <v Speaker 2>man can't do? <v Speaker 3>He's had so many Sis episodes these days he is, And. <v Speaker 2>Well, I mean, if you've got a great player like that, <v Speaker 2>by all means, don't leave him on the bench. Put <v Speaker 2>him in the game. Put him in the game, coach. <v Speaker 3>But it's like they never really gave him a huge character. <v Speaker 3>He just plays all this sort of minor characters. Really well, yes, yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 3>but Lisa's story right, and you were touching on it <v Speaker 3>how it is very similar to the one from last week, <v Speaker 3>which makes complete sense. <v Speaker 2>You're right. <v Speaker 3>I also didn't really find it that believable that Lisa, <v Speaker 3>of all people, would be okay with succeeding by being <v Speaker 3>a fake version of herself. <v Speaker 2>I get where you're coming from. <v Speaker 3>I mean, so she was annoyed that she wasn't getting a's, right, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>so she's going to do whatever she can to keep <v Speaker 3>getting a's. But you'd think Lisa, of all people, we <v Speaker 3>just reviewed the boy he knew too much, right, and <v Speaker 3>she was the one saying she's sort. <v Speaker 2>Of the voice of reason or that, oh yeah, the <v Speaker 2>voice of taking a moral stance. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>And I get that they've sort of changed every character <v Speaker 3>by this point, but just felt a bit silly that <v Speaker 3>Lisa of all people would be willing to pretend because <v Speaker 3>why was she want to be cool? She doesn't want <v Speaker 3>to be cool. We literally learned last week that she's <v Speaker 3>not interested in being cool. <v Speaker 2>I get where you're coming from. I get the feeling <v Speaker 2>that is probably a bit of compound insecurity. You know, <v Speaker 2>if she's got she's at the stage or at this <v Speaker 2>school where standards have been raised a bit. Not that <v Speaker 2>Lisa ever cruised or coasted or anything like that. But <v Speaker 2>for her not to be a number one, that's going <v Speaker 2>to put a dent in her confidence. And then you <v Speaker 2>add to that, Oh, well, I'm in a new school. <v Speaker 2>I could be something else, you know, and people might <v Speaker 2>like me here. Oh that's not happening either. She's probably, yeah, <v Speaker 2>probably going to take the approach. Oh look, I'll do <v Speaker 2>anything I can to fit in to feel good about myself. Here. <v Speaker 2>Reminded me a bit of the movie Never Been Kissed <v Speaker 2>In some ways, it's definitely seen that your girl, Yeah, <v Speaker 2>through Barrymore, because there's a bit in that where, well, <v Speaker 2>the plot of it, she goes back to school. She's <v Speaker 2>like a grown woman or a young woman in her <v Speaker 2>twenties or something working as a reporter, and her editor <v Speaker 2>sends her back to high school and to see, you way, <v Speaker 2>what the kids are like these days. She was a <v Speaker 2>real horrible, a real hapless nerd during her first high <v Speaker 2>school experience. You things, I got my chance to do over. <v Speaker 2>And she goes back and she's the same old nerd. <v Speaker 2>Luckily a cool older brother to be my nerd. Luckily, <v Speaker 2>a cool little that comes along pose as a high school <v Speaker 2>student as well. Really stretching credibility. But he's David Aket, <v Speaker 2>I think, and he's the one who sort of goes <v Speaker 2>around saying, you know who's really cool is my sister. <v Speaker 2>So I don't know a little bit of a play <v Speaker 2>on that. I guess it is. <v Speaker 3>You're right. <v Speaker 2>I hadn't even thought about that, A little bit of <v Speaker 2>a play on that. If that's been generous, if I <v Speaker 2>was less generous, A bit of a rip off at that. <v Speaker 3>I didn't actually go through the cultural references. Was that <v Speaker 3>mentioned in the I don't think it was. <v Speaker 2>I think that's one that I actually came up with. <v Speaker 2>So maybe I should just edit the wiki pai never <v Speaker 2>been Kissed? What did they come out? Never been Kissed? <v Speaker 2>I want to say it's ninety nine. It is ninety nine. <v Speaker 3>I've not revisited that for a long time, thing, and <v Speaker 3>I have to It looks like you're right that Rob <v Speaker 3>Galla is played by David Arkette. She is Josie Galla, <v Speaker 3>Josie Grossi, jose Grossie had An, that's the nickname. They <v Speaker 3>freaking How do you remember all this stuff? <v Speaker 2>I don't know why I remember, because I nor have <v Speaker 2>I visited revisited never been Kissed? In a very long time, <v Speaker 2>but I do remember that aspect of it in mind <v Speaker 2>is like a flight track. It's sticky, useless shit, sticky <v Speaker 2>and covered with flys. That's like my wife Nicola always <v Speaker 2>says to me. She goes, you know everything about the <v Speaker 2>most useless shit. She goes stuff that's important you know <v Speaker 2>nothing about, Thanks, honey, but you can tell me what <v Speaker 2>song was released on in April of nineteen ninety seven. <v Speaker 2>The Lovely Luise will occasionally say this to me as well. <v Speaker 3>A good trivia team, Oh. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, absolutely, yeah, take it on the road. <v Speaker 3>I'm going on to a Simpsons trivia night next Thursday. <v Speaker 3>I'm kind of nervous because everyone there just expects me <v Speaker 3>to be really good because I do the Simpsons podcast. <v Speaker 2>Are you the Ringer? They sort of brought you on <v Speaker 2>broad as the Ringer? <v Speaker 3>Well, it's basically I had Johnny Knoxville start, so our <v Speaker 3>man Cruit's going to be on the team, our main <v Speaker 3>man we used to work with, right, So we had <v Speaker 3>had someone that is a father of one of Elliot's <v Speaker 3>friends says, I'm doing a Simpsons trivia night. <v Speaker 2>Do you want to come? <v Speaker 3>And I was like, oh, it's like we could really <v Speaker 3>use your help. I was like, so, I'm taking Nikola along, <v Speaker 3>and then our man cruit goes, I'm doing a Simpsons <v Speaker 3>trivia night, you reculd you be on my team? And <v Speaker 3>I was like, I'm kind of already on a team, <v Speaker 3>and he goes, cu't be on your team, and I'm <v Speaker 3>like sure, So, so how to creed for me? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? I will indeed, Yeah, good dude, indeed. <v Speaker 3>But they simpces trivia and I'm just a little bit <v Speaker 3>nervous because everyone, you know, when everyone just expects you <v Speaker 3>to be good, because you you're known as the Simpsons guys, <v Speaker 3>the movie guys. If you did a movie trivia, everyone ago, <v Speaker 3>we'll just be we'll win if we get guy. And <v Speaker 3>then there's the expectation. And I always feel like I <v Speaker 3>can never live up to the expectations of anyone, including myself. <v Speaker 2>Well, yeah, this is a common problem that charismatic dudes <v Speaker 2>and high achievers like us have. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, exactly, Now, you were mentioning Wigham before I was <v Speaker 3>gonna say how there's. <v Speaker 2>A bit of a dark theme here. <v Speaker 3>So the mini plot of Bart using Wigham to fake <v Speaker 3>some street cred at the new School. He gets Wigham <v Speaker 3>to fake arrest him say he's a bad boy, blah <v Speaker 3>blah blah, everyone falls in love with him, takes him <v Speaker 3>to the beach to dump him off, and says Nagger <v Speaker 3>to come to Ralph's birthday party. <v Speaker 2>Right. <v Speaker 3>I've always found the desperation, because this isn't the first <v Speaker 3>time this kind of thing has happened. I've always found <v Speaker 3>the desperation that Wigham goes to in order to get <v Speaker 3>people to like Ralph and to include Ralph in things <v Speaker 3>is really sad because he the father can see that, <v Speaker 3>you know, his son, Oh yeah, no one wants to <v Speaker 3>be around him. And I get that Ralph. I get <v Speaker 3>that Raulf would be very annoying to be around it <v Speaker 3>the best of times in long doses, right, short doses. <v Speaker 3>I'm sure he's fine, But for him to always be <v Speaker 3>going out of his way to try and include Ralph <v Speaker 3>in things and people just being like, no, I don't <v Speaker 3>want to, it's a really sad aspect of that relationship. <v Speaker 2>It's a combination of very sweet, you know, Clancy wants <v Speaker 2>to really do right by his son, yeah, and a <v Speaker 2>little bit sour in that way, and even more than <v Speaker 2>a little bit, so it's actually quite sour, Yeah, quite sad. <v Speaker 3>You're right, because Ralph is seen as the dim wit <v Speaker 3>and the moron, right, but it's also seen as the <v Speaker 3>kid that no one wants to hang out with as <v Speaker 3>a result of that, and it's. <v Speaker 2>Actually really sad it is, and the show you know, constantly, <v Speaker 2>I know, wrong foots itself in some way. I mean, <v Speaker 2>if we're meant to feel that way about the Wiggams <v Speaker 2>and about Ralph even this episode, why have a scene <v Speaker 2>at the very start where Miss Hoover basically hands over <v Speaker 2>the class to Ralph and Ralph just does some of <v Speaker 2>the most stupid Yeah, and not necessarily even just dumb shit, <v Speaker 2>but also like dumb dorky shit, like the amazing Ralph <v Speaker 2>and jumps out of the windows, like why, what's the <v Speaker 2>point of this? Yeah, you know, I mean this is <v Speaker 2>not even There is zero substance to the character of <v Speaker 2>Ralph these days. That's pretty much the case, zero substance. <v Speaker 3>To many characters these days. We've mentioned the bullies because <v Speaker 3>they introduced Shawna recently thought that might be something new <v Speaker 3>and freshmen for that dynamic. But the bullies again, they're <v Speaker 3>just they're all the same. <v Speaker 2>They're idiots. <v Speaker 3>Everyone's an idiot. Yeah, why is that made everyone dumb? <v Speaker 3>Lisa's willing to de salate her believes and morals to <v Speaker 3>be cool and popular now, and then by the end <v Speaker 3>of it, she's like, you know what, I'd rather just <v Speaker 3>be unpopular and uncool because of me, not because of <v Speaker 3>who I'm pretending to be. And I'm like, you've said <v Speaker 3>this like three times, Yeah, we we got it the <v Speaker 3>first time. <v Speaker 2>Something I wanted to bring up as well. Though another <v Speaker 2>movie allusion. I guess this one may not be on <v Speaker 2>Wikipedia either. When bart is being apprehended by the cops, Oh, <v Speaker 2>we've got you, bad boy. Oh my, oh he's the <v Speaker 2>well yeah, actually I said it before the Ultimate Bad <v Speaker 2>all that kind of suff take him away in the <v Speaker 2>cop car. Everyone's like, oh, boys want to be and <v Speaker 2>girls want to be with him because that guy. That's <v Speaker 2>basically the end of Super Bad for mcloven. Yeah, where <v Speaker 2>he's uh the cops, he's been hanging out. Well, I realize, Oh, <v Speaker 2>mcloven's a fake idea, this guy, this is a high <v Speaker 2>school kid. Okay, but we like you. Okay, how can <v Speaker 2>we work this? Old works out? Everybody? Okay, we'll arrest you, <v Speaker 2>but you know we're gonna make you look like a <v Speaker 2>tough guy and everyone's gonna be like. <v Speaker 3>That, so they don't do anything else besides role models <v Speaker 3>Krystal in Min's players. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, oh he was in kick Ass. <v Speaker 4>Ah. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, true, he's been a few things, I think. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I think he's actually worked pretty steadily. He can just <v Speaker 2>do conventions forever as meet loved. Oh absolutely, yeah. I <v Speaker 2>think now he's probably reached a stage where, well, Superbed's <v Speaker 2>coming up on twenty years old. That was eight, two <v Speaker 2>thousand and eight. Yeah. Yeah, we're only in twenty twenty five. <v Speaker 2>We're not We're not there yet. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, this is the thing there's gonna be. But that <v Speaker 3>that to me seems like I go, oh, that's like <v Speaker 3>the modern day American pie. There's twenty year olds out <v Speaker 3>there are going, what, old man, what are you talking about? <v Speaker 2>Modern day? What you don't you get to use the <v Speaker 2>term modern day even if you're talking about now? <v Speaker 7>No, so. <v Speaker 2>Oh it doesn't even ever have to hit the twentieth <v Speaker 2>anniversary mark. But yeah, he'd probably be stroing around Conso Yeah, <v Speaker 2>it's me loving time bags with the dollar signs on him, <v Speaker 2>little ID cards of course. Yeah, put a little signature <v Speaker 2>on there you go. CMP just a Min's plass, My <v Speaker 2>favorite favorite moments from Waverley Hills nine No. Two one <v Speaker 2>do in these tough economic times. I did relate to <v Speaker 2>Homer saying we can't buy, we can't get a place <v Speaker 2>in Waverley Hills. The house prices have commas. <v Speaker 3>And them I has in mine as well. I was <v Speaker 3>like so relatable. I like that wise guy was in <v Speaker 3>there again, Yes, like every town has a wise Guy. <v Speaker 3>Yeah he's cloned or something. <v Speaker 2>Let's work. Is Waverly Hills like a different town, a <v Speaker 2>different district? Different? <v Speaker 3>It's still in Springfield. Yeah, yeah, it's like going to well, <v Speaker 3>Beverly Hills is part of Las You know what I mean? <v Speaker 3>Is it's just a rich section of Springfield. I guess yeah, yeah, <v Speaker 3>because Bark goes by Costington's at some stage as well, <v Speaker 3>so which is a Springfield institution. So I'm guessing they're <v Speaker 3>still in Springfield, but they're in the ritzy part of Springfield. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, okay, I want to make that clear. Yeah, but <v Speaker 2>why is guy what was his sort of role was <v Speaker 2>he not? The is he like a city is. <v Speaker 3>A city hall? He was working them as that's right, <v Speaker 3>local residences. I guess you pretty much it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mentioned well, I mentioned Coston just before. And <v Speaker 2>I like the Costing Cans gag where he's in the <v Speaker 2>window he got a little mustache on. <v Speaker 3>It's been done Tom and Tommy again. But yeah, oh. <v Speaker 2>Absolutely, But when a good gag is a when it's <v Speaker 2>a good gag running into the ground, yeah, mentioned Maurice LaMarsh. <v Speaker 2>Fantastic having a impersonation. Yeah, even if the character doesn't <v Speaker 2>really do a whole lot or add a great deal <v Speaker 2>to it. Again, a bit of a nice bit of texture. <v Speaker 2>And I thought the insecurity gag about the security guards was. <v Speaker 3>Whenever I see shout out to anyone who's more security <v Speaker 3>guard out there, even a bouncer, I look at him. <v Speaker 2>I'm just like, not real, Paul blah more, cop, Paul <v Speaker 2>bla more. I wanted to enjoy it. <v Speaker 3>I liked Homer allowing Marge to play the game and <v Speaker 3>her just going, I'm doing it with the tea bag. <v Speaker 3>Yeah this is when would you say, yeah it was <v Speaker 3>the tea baking yet what oh yeah the game? Yeah, <v Speaker 3>so I think it was desecrating or whatever, of course, yeah, <v Speaker 3>but I it reminds me of when I play with <v Speaker 3>the kids now and I go, he do want to <v Speaker 3>do this? And a push circles mainly. Allie's pretty good <v Speaker 3>at games. Wholly would do like a circle or a jump. <v Speaker 3>He jumped over the gap and you can see she's <v Speaker 3>so proud of herself. You know, she's really like, I <v Speaker 3>did it. Doesn't say anything, she just goes. <v Speaker 2>Saw this meme the other day where yes grown up <v Speaker 2>was watching a kid watching a let's play. Well, why <v Speaker 2>don't you just play a video game? And the kids said, well, <v Speaker 2>you watch football. Whinn't outside playing football? So I just <v Speaker 2>connected with the WiFi. It is true, Elliott. <v Speaker 3>Well he does though, because Alliott was right in the <v Speaker 3>Crash bandicoot recently and he hasn't been playing the PlayStation <v Speaker 3>much at all, which been outside kicking the foot is <v Speaker 3>much better. But he would watch someone play the level <v Speaker 3>and then he would then go and do it. And <v Speaker 3>that's why he said. He go, hey, you gotta go back. <v Speaker 3>There's where the red jemmies and I go, no, it's <v Speaker 3>not He goes, yeah, just go through this box. And <v Speaker 3>I'm like, how did you know? He goes, I watched <v Speaker 3>so and so do it on YouTube. I'm like, hanging <v Speaker 3>out with someone without me, I'm supposed to teach you <v Speaker 3>these things. <v Speaker 2>Yes, indeed, they't be taking a word of some let's <v Speaker 2>play yeah, random, no dirty. <v Speaker 3>You've been out there gunabouting. I liked missus k sull <v Speaker 3>and the s of my greatest hit CDs. Oh yeah yeah, <v Speaker 3>just tap me back. I'll talk more about that when <v Speaker 3>that moment comes. But any other favorite moments for you. <v Speaker 2>That's all I've got for now, but I'm sure others <v Speaker 2>will come up as we talk about the episode. <v Speaker 8>Next question, you there eating the Beast? <v Speaker 2>All right, trivia time. <v Speaker 3>My first question for you is where is Homer's toilet <v Speaker 3>at his new apartment? <v Speaker 2>Oh man specific? Yeah, and it's at a restaurant down <v Speaker 2>the street. <v Speaker 3>But is it the Ethiopian right at the end of <v Speaker 3>the block, at the. <v Speaker 2>End of the block. Yeah, hey, you got there. When <v Speaker 2>Miss Hoover receives tenure, he decides to put a feed <v Speaker 2>up and read which magazine in style? In Style? <v Speaker 3>That was going to be a trivia question that I didn't. <v Speaker 3>I'm glad I didn't. It's yours. My next one is <v Speaker 3>what I've already ruined it myself in the intro? What <v Speaker 3>does Alaska order well so fried chicken skin and what else? <v Speaker 3>That's a really good Questionified waterurified water, something yeah, some <v Speaker 3>type of water. <v Speaker 2>Speaking of Alaska, she is on a poster at the <v Speaker 2>high school. It says four words. Do you remember what <v Speaker 2>those words are? Reading isn't just whatever? Reading isn't just whatever? <v Speaker 2>And my final question, figure is what type of movie <v Speaker 2>does Homer like to talk through? What's comedy? <v Speaker 3>Comedy is like watching a comedy if you don't want <v Speaker 3>to hear more jokes? Yeah, logic there, It is logic. <v Speaker 3>But granted, someone who talks during movies is very annoying. <v Speaker 3>Depends depends on the situation. <v Speaker 2>I get. <v Speaker 3>If you're at a party and it's a bunch of <v Speaker 3>mons mucking about, that's fine. But you're trying to watch <v Speaker 3>a movie and someone is commenting. You know what, I <v Speaker 3>notice I've been doing a lot lately. We're watching a <v Speaker 3>TV show because I don't want to interrupt and speak <v Speaker 3>over the top, So Nicola canin't of here. I'll pause it, <v Speaker 3>and like, I think that's actually more annoying, might be pausing. Yes, <v Speaker 3>what do you want, Brendan, Yeah, sure, push play please <v Speaker 3>pause the game? Brendan, Yeah, what do you want to <v Speaker 3>tell me? <v Speaker 2>Okay? <v Speaker 3>Cool, I don't care, push play please. This could have <v Speaker 3>been an email, so the other day we're watching what <v Speaker 3>were we watching? EO or something like that, right of course, <v Speaker 3>And I paused it, looked at Nikola and she looked <v Speaker 3>at me, and I realized I was like the fourth <v Speaker 3>one have done this. <v Speaker 2>I was like, I just push play. I didn't say anything. Well, <v Speaker 2>you should have said, we now return you to we <v Speaker 2>are already in progress, because that's always that's always a winner, <v Speaker 2>always a winner. Yeah, any more questions for me? I <v Speaker 2>can give you one more, and it's related to the <v Speaker 2>whole air supply telemarketing deal. Okay, what is on missus <v Speaker 2>Kay's mug when she is all question selling air supply CDs? <v Speaker 2>I've got absolutely no idea. What is it? It said? <v Speaker 3>Life is a beach? Life is a beach? Okay, all right, <v Speaker 3>well that sums up. <v Speaker 2>There we go. <v Speaker 3>That is our trivia. Would you like to know the top <v Speaker 3>three films at the US box Office? Tell me a <v Speaker 3>little bit about them, all right? Then it's got a <v Speaker 3>fine because my committery this thing where it just closed <v Speaker 3>on my tabs and I was like, that's unfortunate. <v Speaker 2>Oh, boys, all the tabs, not. <v Speaker 3>Some all, all of them. Unacceptable. Oh, it looks like <v Speaker 3>the number one film at the US box office or <v Speaker 3>number three was obsessed. <v Speaker 2>Never heard of it. We talked about this the other day. <v Speaker 2>It's the version of Fatal Attraction with the interesting. <v Speaker 3>Okay, yes it was on. It was number two of <v Speaker 3>I guess number two. He's married to Beyonce, Ghosts of <v Speaker 3>Girlfriend's Past with Matthew McConaughey. Is it really I believe yeah, <v Speaker 3>shut on or shut off? <v Speaker 2>I believe it's mostly shirt on. Okay, but this might <v Speaker 2>have been like one of the last rom coms that <v Speaker 2>he did, because he did a few of them for <v Speaker 2>a while. I had to lose Guy in Ten Days, <v Speaker 2>Fool's Gold, all that kind of stuff. Don't want ed <v Speaker 2>TV TB is not a bad movie. It's no Truman Show, <v Speaker 2>but it's pretty good. It's it's listing the shadow of <v Speaker 2>Truman Show very much. <v Speaker 5>So. <v Speaker 2>Yes, but I think that might have been where he's like, <v Speaker 2>you know what, I don't think I'm put my shirt on. <v Speaker 2>I think I'm making too many of these and oh <v Speaker 2>that's a dreadful mcconaughe and no, hell was that? No, no, no. <v Speaker 2>I used to be able to do it halfway decentmcconaughey <v Speaker 2>can't do it anymore. I won't, I won't even try. <v Speaker 2>But I was Interstellar a few years later than that. <v Speaker 2>It was. Yeah. I think mcconaughson's sort of kicked off <v Speaker 2>with True Detective They're True a couple of years later, <v Speaker 2>but I think he was around the time of Ghost <v Speaker 2>of Girlfriend's Pasty Goes. I'm making too many of these <v Speaker 2>and people and might be starting to think I'm a <v Speaker 2>bit of a joke and a bit one note. Time <v Speaker 2>to regroup, come back stronger than ever, And he did well. <v Speaker 2>I'm Maddy. And number one was X Men Origins Wolverine. <v Speaker 2>Oh terrible movie really, oh yeah, awful? Yeah, remember one <v Speaker 2>at the box of It was the first week though, <v Speaker 2>so oh yeah, everyone was like, yeah, a Wolverine movie. <v Speaker 2>Finally he's going out on his own solo. <v Speaker 3>I had the pre release like leap demos or whatever, <v Speaker 3>and had no special that was the Oh maybe it <v Speaker 3>was that Deadpool. Yeah, really bad it does. <v Speaker 2>That's right, because yeah, this is the first appearance of <v Speaker 2>Ryan Reynolds as dead or as Wade Wilson at least. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but it'd be interested next week to find out <v Speaker 3>how far down there. <v Speaker 2>Goes. Yeah, but no, not a good movie unfortunately. <v Speaker 3>Anyway, debut at number one when this episode originally aired. <v Speaker 2>Oh look, I'm sure it added a couple more million <v Speaker 2>to the Hugh Jackman bottom line, so good for him. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Production code La b F one zero, Written by Jay <v Speaker 3>Stewart Burns, directed by Mike Frank Polsino. I Guess stars <v Speaker 3>Marusal marsh as we said, as an inspector, Elliott Page <v Speaker 3>as Alaska, Nebraska, and Marshall Balls has a little couple <v Speaker 3>of lines there as missus Kay Couch gave. The Simpsons <v Speaker 3>are seated in the audience of the Colosseum during the <v Speaker 3>Roman Empire. Glad to add his head flies into the <v Speaker 3>audience and Bart catches. <v Speaker 2>It home, is very proud, rolls his hair. Yes. <v Speaker 3>How does the episode kick Office of Davis? Do you <v Speaker 3>remember the episode kicks off with Marge. She she's not <v Speaker 3>really jogging so much as power walking. <v Speaker 2>I've got power walking. Yeah, see, it doesn't look like <v Speaker 2>she's much of a runner. But coming across science. <v Speaker 3>Water a rip off of vitamin water. <v Speaker 2>Correct. Yeah, but yeah, right down for the logo. I <v Speaker 2>mean it probably is still a thing, but yeah, it <v Speaker 2>was very much at time. I was like, oh wait <v Speaker 2>a minute, no capital it is here. That's interesting. That's <v Speaker 2>called my eye. <v Speaker 3>Yes, I've never been a fan of flavored water. To me, <v Speaker 3>just tastes like weak cordial. <v Speaker 2>I don't mind it on occasion. I mean, if I'm <v Speaker 2>stopping off the supermarket too, on my way to the <v Speaker 2>lob of Louizes and like, can you stop off at <v Speaker 2>the we're getting some takeaway out of a gritty grab <v Speaker 2>some mirral water. I'll invariably grab like a plain one, <v Speaker 2>but also you know, like maybe a lemona lime one, <v Speaker 2>just a just a spice things up, just to that feeling. <v Speaker 2>Keep it hanging. <v Speaker 3>I've got on the wiki page for vitamin water. In <v Speaker 3>two thousand and eight, the Australian consumer organization Choice gave <v Speaker 3>one of its annual Shonky Awards to Vitamin Water, saying <v Speaker 3>that despite the claim that the drinks were healthy, one <v Speaker 3>bottle contains about a third of the recommended daily sugar <v Speaker 3>intake for an average adult woman, and none contains more <v Speaker 3>than one percent. <v Speaker 2>Actual fruit juice. <v Speaker 3>Choice also noted that the label on one flavor blatantly <v Speaker 3>mocked food regulations designed to protect consumers by stating, we <v Speaker 3>are prohibited from making exaggerated claims about the potency of <v Speaker 3>the nutrients in this bottle, before making exaggerated claims about <v Speaker 3>the pertinents in the battle. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I never really liked the look or sound of it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, vitamin water, as Nichola would say, vitamin war. There's <v Speaker 3>one tea in there, lady. <v Speaker 2>You pausing by the way you pronounce a vitamin water. <v Speaker 2>I see that a after that, one single tea. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, but we still I say Peter bread, though it <v Speaker 3>does make sense English ridiculous. Well, what should we say <v Speaker 3>piper bread? By that theory, it's vitamin A. Good point <v Speaker 3>should be piper bread Shannon to anyone who learns English. <v Speaker 3>Oh my god, so I actually got this. We're writing <v Speaker 3>Elliot's birthday presents out right, and my mum and dad <v Speaker 3>said he can you buy something for him? And say <v Speaker 3>it's from us, right, And I'm writing from grandma and <v Speaker 3>granddad right, Grandma g r A N D M A Grandma, Yes, <v Speaker 3>Granddad g R A N D A D. Why is <v Speaker 3>there only one D? <v Speaker 2>I never thought there was? <v Speaker 3>It is It's granddad. It's not granddad, it's granddad. One <v Speaker 3>day I would have gone with grandpa. Yeah, but think <v Speaker 3>of granddad though, grand granddad. Yeah, it's grandma and I <v Speaker 3>guess that's what it's Grandpa and grandma, isn't it? <v Speaker 2>Yeah? <v Speaker 3>But why is it granddad again? Because we don't say grandmum, <v Speaker 3>do we? It's so weird? Why do we say granddad? <v Speaker 3>English is weird? <v Speaker 2>Man? <v Speaker 3>But it's just yeah, bizarre. <v Speaker 2>I wanted to bring up something because you said you <v Speaker 2>wanted to talk about this in a sort of pregaming <v Speaker 2>and this might be a good time because you mentioned <v Speaker 2>Eliott and you also mentioned water. Do you want to <v Speaker 2>talk about something that happened to your house just recently <v Speaker 2>or we don't have to because it's a little traumatic question. <v Speaker 2>I'm feel like over. <v Speaker 3>Here I probable should have started with this maybe. <v Speaker 2>But you've been the magic of editing. You could maybe <v Speaker 2>slice it in. <v Speaker 3>It's been a stressful week here at four finger Discount. <v Speaker 3>So starting last thursday, I'm here school holidays, so it's busy. <v Speaker 3>Kids are both home single dad, wife's at to work. <v Speaker 3>I'll look at after the kids in their home and <v Speaker 3>they said, Daddy wanna have a shower. Holy, he's gonna <v Speaker 3>have a bath. Allie's gonna have a shower in the <v Speaker 3>same bathroom. But Allie's gonna be a big boy shower. <v Speaker 3>Holly's in the bath now. Recently, Elliot about a week <v Speaker 3>is about a week and a half ago. Elliott was <v Speaker 3>in the shower and he was putting his foot on <v Speaker 3>the on the the plug hold that gets the drain rain, <v Speaker 3>just to see the water fill up. And I said, <v Speaker 3>don't do that because you'll flood the room. He's like, okay, <v Speaker 3>won't do it again. So I put Holy in the bath, <v Speaker 3>put Ali in the shower, and Alliott is in the shower. <v Speaker 3>I said, now what do we do. We don't stand <v Speaker 3>in the drain your dad, Holly, you do not get <v Speaker 3>out of the bath because she's a toryist. We're getting <v Speaker 3>out of the bath and getting things out of the <v Speaker 3>cupboard water everywhere. You stay in the bath, you're just diad. <v Speaker 3>I said, I'm just gonna go have my lunch out <v Speaker 3>in the land room. The door was open. I said, <v Speaker 3>I can hear you, oh boy, yelling if you need <v Speaker 3>me right, and I can hear him laughing, playing, carrying <v Speaker 3>on in every couple of minutes, I'm yelling at you guys, <v Speaker 3>all right, yep, we're okay, We're okay. I'm not fine, <v Speaker 3>So I'm just trying to eat my lunch, power my <v Speaker 3>lunch down whilst I've got a. <v Speaker 2>Bit of a break. Sure. <v Speaker 3>And then after it was fifteen minutes, I hear Dad go, <v Speaker 3>I hear Ali go, Dad, come with it. <v Speaker 2>We've done. <v Speaker 3>And I was like, I will in a minute, and <v Speaker 3>he goes, you're gonna want to see this may have <v Speaker 3>a problem here. Oh, And immediately I go, oh god, <v Speaker 3>what have they done? So I put my lunch down, <v Speaker 3>walk out to the hallway and I'll down the hallway <v Speaker 3>and our entire house is about two inches. <v Speaker 2>Deep in water. Oh no, you've seen the videos I have. Indeed, <v Speaker 2>you send them to me pretty much immediately. <v Speaker 3>So the thing is right next to our bathroom is <v Speaker 3>our podcast studio. And the water went into each room, <v Speaker 3>so their bedroom, the toy room, my studio, and my bedroom. <v Speaker 3>About three to five feet into the room was just <v Speaker 3>completely submerged in water to the point where you stand <v Speaker 3>on the carpet and it was like you're squeezing a sponge. <v Speaker 2>It was just full of water. <v Speaker 3>So safe to say, I lost the plot because, as <v Speaker 3>I said to Aliott, it's not so much that you've <v Speaker 3>done this right, that you've done it after I told <v Speaker 3>you specifically not to do it. Yes, if you had <v Speaker 3>have listened. The kids have only having a problem listening lately, right, <v Speaker 3>So had they listened, this wouldn't have happened. <v Speaker 2>So I then. <v Speaker 3>Realized that I had Granted, I should have had them <v Speaker 3>in a different spot, but you know, about four feet <v Speaker 3>from the door in the corner there I had posters, <v Speaker 3>expensive art prints rolled up in tubes and whatnot against <v Speaker 3>resting against the wall there. Well, they all got ruined <v Speaker 3>because the water touched the bottom of it, and the <v Speaker 3>water just one holds in one whole side of the <v Speaker 3>of the princes are now all just ruined. So there's <v Speaker 3>like I probably spent four hundred and fifty dollars on <v Speaker 3>those prints, probably worth about three to four grand. Now <v Speaker 3>they've got way up and value. Especially a couple of <v Speaker 3>them ruined. Oh man, yeah, ruined. And I was just <v Speaker 3>I didn't know whether to cry yell, and so I <v Speaker 3>sat into their room, mad him stay there off the room. <v Speaker 2>Why I got all this shiit sorted out? <v Speaker 3>So I had towers everywhere I was mopping, and my <v Speaker 3>parents brought over this high power vacuum to suck the <v Speaker 3>water out of the carpet. How much water you're gonna <v Speaker 3>go out of this studio floor by itself. <v Speaker 2>I don't even want to speculate. <v Speaker 3>Three buckets of water out of just the carpet in <v Speaker 3>this room. <v Speaker 2>Oh my goodness. And it was all over the house. <v Speaker 3>All over the house. Seven buckets of water in the carpet. <v Speaker 3>Seven buckets. And despite all that, we're back and we <v Speaker 3>managed to look it could have been worse. No one <v Speaker 3>got hurt. <v Speaker 2>I've learnt. <v Speaker 3>Don't leave the kids alone, even though the doors open, <v Speaker 3>your only bloody ten feet from the door. Don't do <v Speaker 3>it right. It's just not worth it, okay to. <v Speaker 2>Quite an old scary movie from my childhood. Have you <v Speaker 2>checked the children? Ye not? <v Speaker 3>Keep checking the child, Keep checking the children, and then <v Speaker 3>I'll wake up on Saturday morning. A couple of days later, <v Speaker 3>our pals that meta Facebook, They go, guess what, guys, <v Speaker 3>we know we screwed your page over a little while ago, <v Speaker 3>and look how bad we made a mistake. We shouldn't <v Speaker 3>have done it. We fixed your page for you, you know, <v Speaker 3>all monetized and all this whatnot you reach was there? Hey, <v Speaker 3>we found another picture. You're back to where you were <v Speaker 3>square one. So your page is screwed again, and I <v Speaker 3>went how, how why? And it's the system had done <v Speaker 3>the exact same thing. So I thought, well, this is <v Speaker 3>just great, right anyway, so I thought, just cop it <v Speaker 3>on the chin, do the same process, contact Facebook, try <v Speaker 3>and get it fixed. <v Speaker 2>So that was in the process. Monday morning. <v Speaker 3>I thought, I'm gonna have a whole day here smashing <v Speaker 3>this out, getting a lot of work done. We're gonna <v Speaker 3>get things back on track a lot some time, because <v Speaker 3>Thursday I was cleaning up the floor and whatnot. I <v Speaker 3>was still fixing the floor, vacuuming it and all that <v Speaker 3>kind of stuff. Get a phone called eleven am from <v Speaker 3>Holly's daycare. Holly's got a temperature, going to go and <v Speaker 3>pick her up. Awesome, It's now I'm gonna lose another <v Speaker 3>day of work. Nicola then takes the Tuesday off yesterday <v Speaker 3>to allow me to catch up so I don't have <v Speaker 3>to watch Holly. Right, so Nickola takes a SICKI I <v Speaker 3>then have to then spend all day editing last week's <v Speaker 3>video of the Boy who Knew Too Much the video <v Speaker 3>for it. An hour and forty five minutes the video, <v Speaker 3>I went to export realized that Premiere Pro had tried <v Speaker 3>to name the export file as the same name as <v Speaker 3>one of the file names that were in part of <v Speaker 3>the project, and I lost the video there as well. <v Speaker 3>So all my work for Tuesday down the goga with <v Speaker 3>one click of a button. I was I had a <v Speaker 3>mental breakdown last night. I literally I was like, do <v Speaker 3>just quit stop? What what hours could possibly go wrong? <v Speaker 2>You got the human fact that's messing up on you, <v Speaker 2>got the technological effect there's messing up on you. Oh man. <v Speaker 3>And then I wake up this morning and Facebook said, hey, mate, <v Speaker 3>how bad? We fixed your page again. I was like, <v Speaker 3>hopefully this is a sign of things to come, and <v Speaker 3>hopefully we're back on track. <v Speaker 2>First step in a positive direction. <v Speaker 3>So the Facebook page is back. Thank you Meta for <v Speaker 3>fixing that issue again. Try and sort your AI shit <v Speaker 3>out because apparently it doesn't know what it's doing. <v Speaker 2>Come on, suck. Yeah, exactly right. <v Speaker 3>So house got flooded, daughters sick, had to watch her <v Speaker 3>all day lost in the entire last week's video. I'm <v Speaker 3>doing my best, so I've still got the last forty <v Speaker 3>minutes of last week's episode video form, but the goal <v Speaker 3>was this week to kick off saying going forward, every <v Speaker 3>episode of Going Down to South Park and four figure discount. <v Speaker 3>You can watch full length in video form on our <v Speaker 3>YouTube channel. So follow the YouTube link in the description <v Speaker 3>of this podcast and hit that subscribe. But if you're <v Speaker 3>watching on YouTube now hit subscribe. But yeah, it's been <v Speaker 3>somewhat of the last seven days. It's been a stressful <v Speaker 3>seven days. As I said, can't change anything, can't get <v Speaker 3>that file back. I try to contact the data recovery guy, <v Speaker 3>He's like, no day, So just move on. So this <v Speaker 3>one here, the first full leaf one and a long <v Speaker 3>time and every week going forward now are going to <v Speaker 3>get these episodes on YouTube, so watch them. <v Speaker 2>Dann it. This might be a good time to point <v Speaker 2>out that you actually haven't pressed record, have I seriously, <v Speaker 2>I'm pretty sure. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Look, it's like I checked three times. I knew I had, <v Speaker 3>but a part of me, how did I knock it <v Speaker 3>with my foot? <v Speaker 2>I that was cruel. I shouldn't have done it. <v Speaker 3>Honestly, my heart skipped the beat a second. <v Speaker 2>Man. <v Speaker 3>Oh no, it's just one of those weeks where I <v Speaker 3>feel like I'm living with the ptas. This is the <v Speaker 3>thing because the Facebook page has been screwed over three times. <v Speaker 2>Now. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I am constantly just living in the fear of <v Speaker 3>my livelihood just being taken away from nothing. Just it sucks. Man. <v Speaker 2>It's a weird and strange time we're living in where, yeah, <v Speaker 2>your life can basically be just taken away by the <v Speaker 2>algorithm more the artificial intelligence, the flipping and the flopping. <v Speaker 3>I spent three to four hours editing a video and <v Speaker 3>with one click of a. <v Speaker 2>Button it was just gone. I'm like, oh, Manross, okay, <v Speaker 2>but we're back, We're back in business. We're talking about <v Speaker 2>Waverly Hills nine o two, and so we're recording it. <v Speaker 2>We're recording it on video. <v Speaker 3>So hopefully this clip's going out everywhere. Indeed, we did <v Speaker 3>have the yamyamio clip on social media. <v Speaker 2>Probably just racking up gang bust and numbers. That's so. <v Speaker 3>But Marge likes the science water, doesn't she. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, well, she's taken by the many and varied flavors, <v Speaker 2>none of which I wrote. <v Speaker 3>Downish vitality, purple potato, lime like this one. I love <v Speaker 3>the nineties. I actually felt that that would be the <v Speaker 3>name of a water of someone I love the nineties. <v Speaker 3>New car smell was another one. But she says, it's <v Speaker 3>like drinking EE Cummings. You want to tell everybody who E. E. <v Speaker 3>Cummings is. E. <v Speaker 2>Cummings was an American poets run a lot of good stuff. <v Speaker 2>But primary gimmick was he was sort of pre gen <v Speaker 2>z in that he didn't he used lower case all <v Speaker 2>the time. Yeah, anytime you see E. E. Cummings, his <v Speaker 2>name always lowercase. Really, same with all his poems. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>well that would be where the joke comes from. Then <v Speaker 2>that would exactly be the case. <v Speaker 3>That's a very layered gag. Unless you genuinely knew who <v Speaker 3>Cummings was, it would make any sense. Yeah, that's the <v Speaker 3>thing someone said to you. Oh he's a poet, you go, <v Speaker 3>doesn't make any sense? <v Speaker 2>Yeh. Luckily you've got a big old nerd here who <v Speaker 2>knows that. Yeah, the dude eschewed capital letters. <v Speaker 7>M hm. <v Speaker 3>Now, since her bladder is full of science, she needs <v Speaker 3>the toilet. But unfortunately this company is now gone bankrupt, <v Speaker 3>which I guess that was happening a lot in those times, <v Speaker 3>a lot of things water companies going bankrupt. So she <v Speaker 3>goes looking for a toilet. The various businesses won't allow <v Speaker 3>her to use because she's not a paying customer and whatnot. <v Speaker 3>So she goes to the school and she says, since <v Speaker 3>she's a woman, she won't cause her cause a panic <v Speaker 3>because the mango is looking for the toilet. <v Speaker 2>It's like, oh, yes, excuse me, but if you've been <v Speaker 2>keeping abreast of the news here in Australia, oh yes, <v Speaker 2>men and children. Yeah not a great combat, No, not <v Speaker 2>at all. <v Speaker 3>So Janie, she's in the toilet with Marge, she says, high, <v Speaker 3>and Marge's walking through the school and she sees but <v Speaker 3>oh that's whor. <v Speaker 8>It's class lousy teachers, Oh lowsy over. This school has <v Speaker 8>really gone downhill. <v Speaker 3>And she says how the class classrooms are very overcrowded. <v Speaker 3>We've seen missus Hoover. She's now been granted tenure, so <v Speaker 3>she lets Ralph take over the class and again, what's <v Speaker 3>the point of this, Yeah, just. <v Speaker 2>A joke to remind you that Ralph wigm is in <v Speaker 2>fact dumb. Not only that. <v Speaker 3>The classrooms flipped because if you're looking at the blackboard, correct, <v Speaker 3>the door's on the right. So Rough jumps out the <v Speaker 3>window to the right as that sayings like you may <v Speaker 3>not notice immediately, but your brain will. It's like, what's <v Speaker 3>not right here? Yeah, that's what's not right. The entire <v Speaker 3>design of the classrooms just flipped for this one Ga <v Speaker 3>hack to. <v Speaker 2>Quote Millhouse, We're through the looking glass, yes. <v Speaker 3>Marge then confront Skinner, who just wants to pour her <v Speaker 3>an alcoholic drink because why not? This is just the <v Speaker 3>Linel Huts gig again, right? <v Speaker 2>Pretty much? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, of a drink in the morning. She says she <v Speaker 3>just wants her kid to be in a decent school, <v Speaker 3>and he wants his engine light to go off in <v Speaker 3>his car. It's not going to happen. So when now <v Speaker 3>at dinner and she explains that they the school has <v Speaker 3>just gone down the toilet. They can buy math with <v Speaker 3>pe for Dodge book and Lisa says that the rating <v Speaker 3>is so low that there are more than two standard <v Speaker 3>deviations below the Norman Home. It doesn't understand there because <v Speaker 3>he went to the Springfield a well like that. Millhouse <v Speaker 3>then says his cousin goes to a much better school <v Speaker 3>in Waverley Hills, and Lisa says that's a great school. Now, <v Speaker 3>their auditorium and gym are two different rooms. They can't <v Speaker 3>believe that I went to every school I've ever been to, <v Speaker 3>the auditorium and the gym are the same thing. <v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, you went to Grammar, right I did. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>we had an auditory amount of gym. Your your gym <v Speaker 2>had an auditorium. <v Speaker 3>Over then says that they can't afford that. As he said, <v Speaker 3>their house prices have commons in them, which is a <v Speaker 3>great line. And their grass, the grass outside of their <v Speaker 3>house just painted green cement. Santas will Helper tries to <v Speaker 3>dig a hole for his bone, which is not gonna work. <v Speaker 3>Then Lisa wishes they could go just for a week, <v Speaker 3>because you're better better to have learned and lost than <v Speaker 3>never learned at all, which is a takeoff. <v Speaker 2>Of better to have loved and lost than never loved <v Speaker 2>at all? Is that by E. Cummings? I don't believe it. <v Speaker 2>Margin is it Shakespeare? <v Speaker 3>Maybe you look that up? While to continue, Okay, Marge. <v Speaker 3>They suggest that they are rent and get an address <v Speaker 3>in Waverley Hill so the kids can then go to <v Speaker 3>that school. And this is very excited for that, you know, <v Speaker 3>a school where special doesn't always mean bad and teachers <v Speaker 3>have to don't have the moonlight as telemarketers, and we <v Speaker 3>cut to missus K and the other teachers trying to <v Speaker 3>sell CD collections. <v Speaker 9>As you know, the music of air supply is timeless, <v Speaker 9>and now their fifty biggest hits are on four CDs. <v Speaker 3>Remember the days when we spent money on music? It <v Speaker 3>made me really think about it. I can't recall besides <v Speaker 3>the occasional vinyl right, the last time I spent money <v Speaker 3>on music? How do musicians survive now? Unless you are touring? <v Speaker 3>How do you survive? <v Speaker 2>It is absolutely beyond me. You don't want to get <v Speaker 2>me started. <v Speaker 3>On unless they're getting millions of views on YouTube. You're <v Speaker 3>not making enough to survive on YouTube. <v Speaker 2>Oh god no, no, I mean it's going to forgot <v Speaker 2>how much you make a stream. But it's like under <v Speaker 2>under a scent. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's just going to be the hustle now, right, <v Speaker 3>touring and hustling merch. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Because I am a music love right. I love supporting <v Speaker 3>a lot of vinyl there well a lot of music scores, right, <v Speaker 3>But when it comes to just buying bands, music of <v Speaker 3>a band that I like, releasing new song, okay, straight <v Speaker 3>to Spotify, yeah and listen to it, I don't buy it. <v Speaker 3>The thing I can't remember the last time I bought <v Speaker 3>a CD or I mean I still buy movies, yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely, <v Speaker 3>But the last time I bought like a box set <v Speaker 3>of say, you know, early Springsteen or Miles Davis or <v Speaker 3>something like that, very very long time ago, maybe sometime <v Speaker 3>in the twenty tens, but there was a time where <v Speaker 3>you know, you'd buy four city collections off TV. Tune <v Speaker 3>in now it's calling now to save this and that <v Speaker 3>kind of thing. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, it is just Look, I'm sorry to bring everybody. <v Speaker 2>It's a shitty time for art, yeah right now, man, <v Speaker 2>because you know a lot of people made ut because <v Speaker 2>you know you could make a living out of it <v Speaker 2>as well. <v Speaker 3>I mean, you're it's similar with podcasting as well. <v Speaker 2>I be a creative. <v Speaker 3>It's just I saw Nathan Fillion and Alana more celebrities. <v Speaker 3>That's great, awesome, thanks guys. I really appreciate it. <v Speaker 2>Fucking ow. I love you guys. <v Speaker 3>But do you really need to do a podcast? <v Speaker 2>Come on, do you need to steal more listeners? <v Speaker 3>I mean, you're not stealing listeners from this, But the <v Speaker 3>podcast game is so hard to break into now because <v Speaker 3>there's so many people who already have money and an <v Speaker 3>audience just going well, we're just gonna keep doing this. <v Speaker 2>Shit can do it. You're doing, Nathan Alan, you're both <v Speaker 2>steadily employed actors. Nathan you're in the new Superman movie. <v Speaker 2>Apparently you're quite good in it. Alan you're on that <v Speaker 2>show Resident Alien, probably doing a bunch of boys work. <v Speaker 2>Guess what Dan I mentioned earlier, you'd go to cons <v Speaker 2>and clean up. You don't need to beat podcastic when <v Speaker 2>you've got people who want to do. <v Speaker 3>It's when you see celebrities doing rewatch pod of the <v Speaker 3>shows that they are in. <v Speaker 2>Like, you don't need to do this. <v Speaker 3>Some need to do this, all right, So we're just <v Speaker 3>gonna have to compete with our Villian. You're narrow enemy. <v Speaker 3>Nathan Fillian is one of my top five slives I <v Speaker 3>love to meet. It just seems like an absolute legend. <v Speaker 2>Is that because you want to go just punch him <v Speaker 2>in the face. Do you want to give the two <v Speaker 2>piece feed? <v Speaker 3>I don't want to give the two pece fee. I'd <v Speaker 3>love to go to KFC with him and buy him <v Speaker 3>a two pieces. Indeed, you talk about the rookie, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>we can. Indeed the six DAWs streaming Disney plas our <v Speaker 3>friends of the pod. <v Speaker 2>Yes, but shitty time for art, whether it's you know, <v Speaker 2>an inability to make a living creating it, or so <v Speaker 2>many people just making content on YouTube and basically everyone's <v Speaker 2>just got to go. We recorded a little bit this <v Speaker 2>morning and then I went home, and it's something that <v Speaker 2>came up on the algorithm, because we gotta love that algorithm. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, But I was listening to YouTube videos in <v Speaker 2>the car and when they came up with this woman <v Speaker 2>saying I used to have a real problem making content, <v Speaker 2>and then I turned to chat DPT and it gave <v Speaker 2>me all these ideas and now I make content based <v Speaker 2>on those ideas. And I was like, wait one, now, <v Speaker 2>I'll admit it. I have used old panel GBT to <v Speaker 2>help me out with certain things. GBT, well, yeah, it's <v Speaker 2>the new model. She goes to another school, you wouldn't <v Speaker 2>be can't afford GPT. I got the B grade. Yes, <v Speaker 2>I've used it on occasion, certainly, but yeah, to outsource <v Speaker 2>your entire creative instinct to it. Take everything from that, <v Speaker 2>and it's like, and now I'm gonna put it on <v Speaker 2>you tube. I don't like this or anyway, but they <v Speaker 2>make money, and when not, we don't know. We can <v Speaker 2>always use it. One more let's take it back a <v Speaker 2>little bit too. It's better to have loved and lost <v Speaker 2>than never to have loved. It was that buy. That <v Speaker 2>was a famous quote by Alfred Lord Tennyson, poet There <v Speaker 2>we Go, not Shakespeare, not to Shakespeare, that heck. <v Speaker 3>But Bart worries that if they moved to Waverley Hills <v Speaker 3>that all his current friends. What's he supposed to do <v Speaker 3>with them? And Homer mocks him, saying primary school friends. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>they're gonna be lifelong friends, aren't they? And they sing <v Speaker 3>stand by Me with Millhouse. This actually is a really <v Speaker 3>sad thought. But I genuinely don't think I am friends <v Speaker 3>with any of my best friends from primary school. I <v Speaker 3>know there's two of them in particular that I've mentioned <v Speaker 3>time and time again on this podcast. Media and Jonesy. <v Speaker 3>That's what's the last names. If I caught up with them, <v Speaker 3>it'd be like nothing's changed, right, But I don't see <v Speaker 3>them anymore. It's to friends in high school, the ones <v Speaker 3>that you are with you when when you're sort of <v Speaker 3>entering adulthood, you establish those lifelong relationships. I feel like <v Speaker 3>you're more likely to be friends lifelong with your high <v Speaker 3>school friends than your primary. <v Speaker 2>School I get where you're coming from. I was fortunate <v Speaker 2>enough to the friends that I was that I made <v Speaker 2>in primary school, and I also friends in high school <v Speaker 2>and remain friends to this day. Hopefully be catching up <v Speaker 2>with JP with Browns with Housie. I believe in August <v Speaker 2>we're getting together for a bit of a lunch, so <v Speaker 2>that'll be good news. <v Speaker 3>But I was the only kid from my primary school <v Speaker 3>that went to the high school I went to. I <v Speaker 3>just completely it was clean, slate would have been rough. <v Speaker 2>It fell. <v Speaker 3>I thought it was going to be rough at the time. <v Speaker 3>I remember just hating the idea, being so angry, and <v Speaker 3>then I get there and I was like, no, within <v Speaker 3>like a week, I've. <v Speaker 2>Just made friends. Of course, because he missed the popular, <v Speaker 2>I've not missed the popular. Get I get the meaning <v Speaker 2>of that gag. I did not like them singing stand <v Speaker 2>by Me the way they did. It just felt kind <v Speaker 2>of whack and a little cruel. Yeah, form Mill has <v Speaker 2>to be the one thing in at either they'll mean spirited, <v Speaker 2>and you know, I don't really need that from the Simpsons, <v Speaker 2>and we've been getting a lot of it, though I <v Speaker 2>feelt the last couple of episodes have sort of not <v Speaker 2>been as mean spirited, but it's been the tone, the. <v Speaker 3>Vibe of the of the show in recent times. <v Speaker 2>Now. There have been certain gags in this where I went, Yay, <v Speaker 2>liked it. There are in certain gags where I went <v Speaker 2>didn't like it, And there are certain gags where I went, <v Speaker 2>what the absolute fuck are you talking about here? <v Speaker 3>And we're gonna come up to the one in just <v Speaker 3>same Oh yes, I'm glad you thought the same thing. <v Speaker 3>Four figure discount is brought to you by our incredible <v Speaker 3>supporters on Patreon. The Homa goes to <v Speaker 3>the very blaze of real estate and it says for <v Speaker 3>lease on the real estate business door. But Cookingkwe is <v Speaker 3>there and Homah wants to rent in the worst part <v Speaker 3>of Waverley Hills, and she said. He says, there, crappy <v Speaker 3>the better. So she says, so cheap a and then <v Speaker 3>he proceeeds ago ussle sheep here to you in that tone. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, what just happened? What just happened? I nearly <v Speaker 2>dislocated my neck going what I mean? Not because I'm <v Speaker 2>a snowflake and not because I'm overly sensitive. I just like, <v Speaker 2>sort of it funny. <v Speaker 3>I don't get the gag there. <v Speaker 2>The gag has no context. It's just cheap. It's dumb, <v Speaker 2>even my Homer standards. You could strike this from the <v Speaker 2>record and I would be perfectly happy. <v Speaker 3>Welcome to Simpsons season twenty oh so, yeah, get used <v Speaker 3>to that. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>But then we get a montage of them going to <v Speaker 3>various places. One near the train sometimes there's not a <v Speaker 3>train going by, and four walls. I'm thinking more of <v Speaker 3>a two. Then he arrives at Royal Waverley. There's no windows, <v Speaker 3>no parking, and a man once died here, and he <v Speaker 3>eventually accepts it. <v Speaker 2>I don't. I'm looking at a few murder sides right now. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>So now the Waverly Hills song plays Waverly which is <v Speaker 3>it sounds like Weezer but it's not. <v Speaker 2>It really does. Yeah, yeah, we did. <v Speaker 3>Actually the credits as well, no mention of the credits. <v Speaker 2>Weirs were not in there there. We looked all over <v Speaker 2>the internet. I wonder, let's google it. Why did they? <v Speaker 3>It feels like the kind of thing Weezer would do. <v Speaker 3>They seem like cool dudes. So they appeared on an <v Speaker 3>episode called The Hateful Eight year Olds, where they portrayed <v Speaker 3>a cover band called Sailor's Delight, who were the house <v Speaker 3>band on a romantic cruise taken by Homer in March. <v Speaker 2>Okay. <v Speaker 3>The episode featured them playing songs from Weezes, The Black <v Speaker 3>Album and Pacific day Dream, as well as debuting a <v Speaker 3>new song called Blue Dream. They also perform the Simpsons <v Speaker 3>theme song during the end credits. But why didn't they <v Speaker 3>appear in this one? I have no idea and we <v Speaker 3>shall never know. <v Speaker 2>We shall never. <v Speaker 3>If someone does know, let us know, as mailbag at <v Speaker 3>four figure discount dot com dot au, we'd love to <v Speaker 3>find out. <v Speaker 2>Indeed, Rivers como if you're listening. First of all, did <v Speaker 2>I mispronounce your sir? And I know it's got you <v Speaker 2>in there, but I'm just gonna say como. Also, any <v Speaker 2>other members of weez if you're listening, apologies but not <v Speaker 2>knowing your name, but yeah, let us know why you would. <v Speaker 2>On the on the you Know episode nineteen, season twenty <v Speaker 2>of The Simpsons, waver Hills nine two one do. <v Speaker 3>But in Waverley Hills we have Spiffany's We've got Paris <v Speaker 3>Hilton or look alike with her dog in a bag, <v Speaker 3>and then that dog has a dog in its own bag, <v Speaker 3>and then the homeless guy getting paid lots of cash <v Speaker 3>and jewels and whatnot, various mansions, but the tweak the <v Speaker 3>words here for Beverly Hills were I think it's like <v Speaker 3>get education fraudule and Krusty runs over some photographers just <v Speaker 3>throws money at them. Homer and Marge get welcomed down <v Speaker 3>city Hall by a wise guy. The kids then attend school, <v Speaker 3>and they can attend school immediately, but he says the <v Speaker 3>inspector will be checking sometime this month to make sure <v Speaker 3>that the kids are actually living in Waverley Hills, because <v Speaker 3>a lot of people try to mooch off the system <v Speaker 3>and get the kids to go to a school where <v Speaker 3>they're actually living there, of course, and homes says, yeah, <v Speaker 3>I can see them now with their bald heads and <v Speaker 3>their blue head wives discussed. Then the inspector arrives. <v Speaker 6>Hi Knewbee, I'm Keaitland as the Sea, this is Keaitland <v Speaker 6>the k and this is Caitlynn. Two words, I'm Lisa. <v Speaker 9>One word. <v Speaker 5>So Lisa, what's your favorite Alaska Nebraska song? Mine's touch <v Speaker 5>a Star? Minds make it yours the star song? <v Speaker 9>Who's Alaska Nebraska? <v Speaker 8>Who's Alaska Nebraska? <v Speaker 5>Oh? The greatest sixteen year old singer slash actress in <v Speaker 5>the world. <v Speaker 8>Do you even know how lame you are? <v Speaker 9>I should warn you by using the term lame, you're <v Speaker 9>violating the Americans with Disabilities Act too. <v Speaker 8>That makes you even lamer. <v Speaker 3>So the film No Country for All Men? Does the <v Speaker 3>flip a coin? <v Speaker 2>This character he does? Yeah, it's the opening scene. Really okay. <v Speaker 2>He shows up at this petrol station by on the <v Speaker 2>side of a lonely road. Yeah, and basically just psychologically <v Speaker 2>torments the guy behind the counter and yeah, telling him <v Speaker 2>to flip a coin. And the god says, well, I <v Speaker 2>need to know what we're what we're playing for here? <v Speaker 2>What am I flipping for? Everything? Everything? <v Speaker 4>You know? <v Speaker 2>I wouldn't do that, you'd be like, oh shit, he's <v Speaker 2>not threatening him, but he's just being extremely threatening, making <v Speaker 2>you uncomfortable, making you very uncomfortable. Yeah, it's an it's <v Speaker 2>such a fantastic performance on it side. On the side, <v Speaker 2>good for your friend. <v Speaker 3>And then he validates his parking, but it's not enough <v Speaker 3>to validate it again. <v Speaker 2>This thing. I mean, if you hadn't seen No Country <v Speaker 2>for Old Men, which I haven't, you'd be at a disadvantage. <v Speaker 2>But at the same time, the character was sort of <v Speaker 2>in the collective consciousness so much that you're sort of <v Speaker 2>knew right, Yeah, just visually I know him. Yeah, it's <v Speaker 2>got a very distinct look over. <v Speaker 3>Then calls from bed and marches you you have to <v Speaker 3>stay there until the heat is off. He is off <v Speaker 3>that hissings coming from the Saints and the radiator. And <v Speaker 3>then and then she falls it up by saying we <v Speaker 3>just need to stay there until Bark graduates high school. <v Speaker 3>And so that's another twenty or thirty years. When I <v Speaker 3>just went, did you just say you need to stay <v Speaker 3>till the heat is off? Now it says to stay <v Speaker 3>till Bark graduates high school. <v Speaker 2>It's kind of a land speed record for a show. <v Speaker 2>To contradict itself in the space of maybe three seconds, <v Speaker 2>one sentence to the next. <v Speaker 3>Here's a jag, here's a gag, and now this one <v Speaker 3>is going to contradict said gag. <v Speaker 2>And even though neither are really gags, is that the <v Speaker 2>joke was that the joke? <v Speaker 3>I don't know that Homer is living in one of <v Speaker 3>those beds where it I think it's called a Murphy bed, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>one that comes out of the wall. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. And then I always liked the idea of it. <v Speaker 2>I mean, but I'm someone who has always liked the <v Speaker 2>idea of little spaces like that. Oh, I mean, I <v Speaker 2>think I would have been perfectly happy in a little apartment, <v Speaker 2>tiny house than life not too late, cardboard box by <v Speaker 2>the side of the road. Be careful what you wish <v Speaker 2>for kids. But I always liked the idea of a <v Speaker 2>Murphy bed that, I mean, seeing those in movies when <v Speaker 2>I was growing up, and you know, like some dodgy <v Speaker 2>apartment in New York City's like that seems very efficient. <v Speaker 3>Utilizing the space, utilize the space. But the bed comes <v Speaker 3>back at home? <v Speaker 2>Is not there? Where am I? <v Speaker 4>Now? <v Speaker 3>Margin drops the kids off at school, Lisa have fun, Bart, <v Speaker 3>don't we're on that she's impressed by the campus stables. <v Speaker 3>They go fu field trips to Europe, and their cafeteria <v Speaker 3>serves real, real meat. Real principal Doctor Bettelheim introduces himself. <v Speaker 2>Quick note, if I may, I'm not sure if doctor <v Speaker 2>Bettelheim is named after a gentleman named Bruno. Bruno Bettelheim. <v Speaker 2>He was the author of a book called The Uses <v Speaker 2>of Enchantment. It's sort of like, it's a nice counterpart <v Speaker 2>to the Hero with a Thousand Faces for creative types <v Speaker 2>who want to get a little deep with their archetypes <v Speaker 2>and things like that. Was talking about psychology and fairy tales. <v Speaker 2>Bruno turned out to be a big old fraud. I <v Speaker 2>think he was. There are articles saying he was a <v Speaker 2>bit of a plagiarist, and he also, you know, sort <v Speaker 2>of falsified some of the degrees that he had. He <v Speaker 2>was talking about, Oh yeah, psychiatrist and psychologist or things <v Speaker 2>along those lines, Like you're not actually qualified in those things, buddy, <v Speaker 2>So liar shout out to Bruno, b what a hustler. <v Speaker 3>I do appreciate a good hassle. Oh yeah, got to <v Speaker 3>admire the hussle. But then Skinner arrives and basically he's saying, no, <v Speaker 3>you can't have Lisa. We need her because she makes <v Speaker 3>all these scores go up and she writes the jokes <v Speaker 3>the the Morning bullet bulletin and stuff like that. And <v Speaker 3>then Charmers is there as well, and Skin is basically <v Speaker 3>just jealous. <v Speaker 2>What is it evaluating other people? <v Speaker 3>I think it's you're overseeing other people, overseeing people. What <v Speaker 3>our kids think, Well, the kids know, and then they're <v Speaker 3>happy for me. And the fellow housemates welcome Homer by <v Speaker 3>farting on him and Hope he goes that's great. <v Speaker 2>I was like, what's going on here? That was such <v Speaker 2>a weird comeback to that. That's great. But also those <v Speaker 2>guys in that apartment, I mean, they haven't really indicated <v Speaker 2>or what sort of place. What's the place called? Is <v Speaker 2>the Hotel Waverley of the Waverley Arms or something. Is <v Speaker 2>it a frat house? It seems very frat house or <v Speaker 2>just cheap apartments. But yeah, this is the first indication <v Speaker 2>of the people we who are also living there. It's like, <v Speaker 2>why is it like a college dorm? Yeah? So weird. <v Speaker 3>But they're excited to play poker with Homer because he's <v Speaker 3>not very good and he always forgets the cash in <v Speaker 3>his chips for money. At the end, the bromance has <v Speaker 3>just become romance. Then Lisa meets the Caitlin's Caitlin with <v Speaker 3>the kkitlyin with the c and Kate living. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yep. By the way, one of my trivia questions <v Speaker 2>that I didn't you Yeah, okay, And but you may <v Speaker 2>well know what was written on one of the dude's <v Speaker 2>T shirts. Do you recall? No, it said what would <v Speaker 2>Itchy Do? <v Speaker 3>I did say that a picture of Itchy's face? <v Speaker 2>That's right. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Then was that a reference to what Tyler Durton Do? <v Speaker 3>That was a big website at the time, wasn't it? <v Speaker 2>Or what would Jesus Do? <v Speaker 3>What would Jesus Do? That's yeah, every kid, every kid <v Speaker 3>in high school. This now there's two thou three years <v Speaker 3>after I finished high school. <v Speaker 2>And two thousand and eight is almost ten years after <v Speaker 2>the release of Fight Club. Yeah, oh my god. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>the website what would Tyler Durton Do? I'm aware of <v Speaker 2>it absolutely. <v Speaker 3>When I when I was in high school, several years <v Speaker 3>before this episode came out, everyone was on that website <v Speaker 3>just sing a little song for you to keep something <v Speaker 3>slippy that was just one of those moments where like <v Speaker 3>literally timed it hits you into the future. <v Speaker 2>Get nobody. <v Speaker 8>I knew me. <v Speaker 6>I'm Caitlin with the C. This is Caitlin with a K, <v Speaker 6>and this is Caitlyn two words, I'm Lisa. <v Speaker 9>One word. <v Speaker 5>So, Lisa, what's your favorite Alaska Nebraska song? Mine's touch <v Speaker 5>a Star? <v Speaker 8>Minds? <v Speaker 9>Make it yours the star song? <v Speaker 8>Who's Alaska Nebraska? Who's Alaska Nebraska? <v Speaker 5>Only the greatest sixteen year old singer slash actress in <v Speaker 5>the world. <v Speaker 8>Do you even know how lame you are? <v Speaker 9>I should warn you by using the term lame, you're <v Speaker 9>violating the Americans with Disabilities Act too. <v Speaker 8>That makes you even lamer. <v Speaker 2>Yes, Lisa, that was not the comeback. No, you didn't. <v Speaker 2>That moment. <v Speaker 3>She gets a B plus in class, but she always <v Speaker 3>gets a's and the teacher says, well, maybe that's why <v Speaker 3>you never got That's maybe why you always got a's <v Speaker 3>because the teachers never checked. And Lia' is like, oh, <v Speaker 3>I've been challenged. How am I going to respond to this? <v Speaker 3>And she just cries and breaks down, runs off, complaining <v Speaker 3>to Bot and he says not to worry though, because <v Speaker 3>they have got a clean slight here they can establish <v Speaker 3>new credit. That's what he's about to do right now. <v Speaker 3>Where Wigham arrives and arrests him. And as you're saying, <v Speaker 3>he's yels, I'm a bad boy, befriend him and end <v Speaker 3>up just like him or. <v Speaker 2>The girls swoon. I can't believe it. <v Speaker 3>Yes, oh yeah, he gets dropped off at the beach <v Speaker 3>and now he has to go to Ralf's birthday party. <v Speaker 3>Where was the birthday party? I don't know, the bowling alley? Okay, <v Speaker 3>the right to remain. <v Speaker 2>He says something about the remains striggers something, and. <v Speaker 3>I know when he's reading his I actually know it's <v Speaker 3>twenty You're supposed to be somewhere between two thirty or <v Speaker 3>something at a bowling alley. But yeah, so' is that <v Speaker 3>the bowling all these birthday party? Who's going to turn <v Speaker 3>out a birthday party to bowling alley? I know he's <v Speaker 3>going to turn out a birthday party when you're a kid, No, <v Speaker 3>it's the. <v Speaker 2>Social event of the season. It is, yeah, all weekend <v Speaker 2>at the very least. But I did like that, but <v Speaker 2>drove a hard bargain, is like I need one good <v Speaker 2>bag now, party bag. <v Speaker 3>Yeah one later, Yeah, now I've learnt this right as <v Speaker 3>a parent of a child, I can't recall going to <v Speaker 3>birthday parties and getting party bags right. But it turns <v Speaker 3>out I may have mentioned the podcast party Bags. A <v Speaker 3>party is defined by the party bag, right, because it's <v Speaker 3>all about you've got to send your audience home happy, right. <v Speaker 3>You gotta end, you have to stick the landing. So <v Speaker 3>the party bag is pivotal to kids remembering your He <v Speaker 3>has a fun experience. So I made sure that Alliot's <v Speaker 3>party bags were loaded with shit. <v Speaker 4>Right. <v Speaker 2>So what was in them? So Alliot he had like <v Speaker 2>a couple of chocolates. He had some lollies. <v Speaker 3>You had a glow stick, you had Elliott put a <v Speaker 3>pack of footy cards in each of them. There was <v Speaker 3>just a bunch of just little toys, lollipops. <v Speaker 2>Wow. Yeah, went the whole nine yards. So the party <v Speaker 2>don't start until the people get home. Yeah yeah, But <v Speaker 2>actually it wasn't a pack of footy cards. It was <v Speaker 2>essentially a pack of footy cards. <v Speaker 3>But he'd opened them because he wanted to make sure <v Speaker 3>that a gum well he knows who all of his <v Speaker 3>friends Barrack Force. He made sure they got players from <v Speaker 3>their teams thoughtful kid. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, clever boy, clever boy. Hey, we just reviewed Jurassic <v Speaker 2>Park for the movie guy with Moultin Davis. Might want <v Speaker 2>to check it out, might want to check it out. <v Speaker 3>And we just recorded today but it was out yet <v Speaker 3>when this gets released, but our review of Superman as <v Speaker 3>well as Leonard's back, he's healthy, he's well healthier, Yes, indeed, yeah, <v Speaker 3>Man of Steel Man, I'll steal Indeed, by the way, <v Speaker 3>we're talking about. <v Speaker 2>The nineteen seventy eight Superman, not the super Man that's <v Speaker 2>currently in cinemas. Yes, the real Superman. <v Speaker 3>Correct, Yes, so the one that started at all hashtag <v Speaker 3>not my Superman. So then the Mafia arrive and yeah, <v Speaker 3>they're playing the Sopranos song on the minivan. <v Speaker 2>Yes, is that what it was? <v Speaker 3>I thought it was just the show was playing it, <v Speaker 3>but it' stop as soon as they arrived, if that <v Speaker 3>makes sense. Yeah, Soprano's music is freaking amazing though. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, like so good. <v Speaker 3>But this morning, Wigham knows that they're dealing drugs at <v Speaker 3>the school, so he wants them to attend the party. <v Speaker 3>He's going to let them off, and they say he's <v Speaker 3>not going to be there. Even Batman's going to be <v Speaker 3>there because Batman's going to be there. <v Speaker 2>They flee Batman. <v Speaker 3>Then the kids all admire Bart as he walks through <v Speaker 3>the school, wondering what he did to be in trouble. <v Speaker 3>Did he burned down his old school? Murder the groundskeeper? <v Speaker 3>We get a grandskeeper here, saying that's a bit rough <v Speaker 3>in a British accent. Was that a reference to anybody. <v Speaker 2>Unless it's Springfield Elementary has the gruff and uncultured Willie <v Speaker 2>and these Scottish and these guys have like a rather <v Speaker 2>more refined, semi posh British. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, okay, but he thought bath then sees Lisa sad <v Speaker 3>time to my sists from loser to schmoozer, and he <v Speaker 3>sees the Alaska Nebraska poster. <v Speaker 5>Okay, buzz the ladies, you're that bad boy. <v Speaker 8>What do you want from us? Bad boy? <v Speaker 5>Don't tell anyone, but my sister Lisa is best friends <v Speaker 5>with Alaska Nebraska. <v Speaker 8>Get out of here so live. She didn't even know <v Speaker 8>who Alaska Nebraska was? <v Speaker 5>Does She said that because she respects Alaska's privacy, just <v Speaker 5>as I have no doubt you guys will respect Lisa's privacy. <v Speaker 3>Cut to a montage with them or texting their friends. <v Speaker 3>More kids know about it, and they eventually overload the bandwidth. <v Speaker 2>For the school. Very savvy by Bart, just what you <v Speaker 2>said happens in never been kissed. That's true a good <v Speaker 2>student of human psychology at least. But the right thing <v Speaker 2>by Lisa here is said, Oh, you know, a good <v Speaker 2>friend wouldn't It wouldn't reveal something. <v Speaker 3>Just like a good friend, you guys won't. Then Lisa <v Speaker 3>is now popular and my place. She thanks him. Well, <v Speaker 3>my plan was to lie and Lila call, and it succeeded. <v Speaker 3>But then Wigham arrives because Bart forgot to go to <v Speaker 3>the party, so they chase after him here at the montage. <v Speaker 2>Chase after him, you go. <v Speaker 3>He throws trash cans at them from Raccoon's choice trash cans. <v Speaker 3>He just is in the window of Costington's. Then they <v Speaker 3>illegitately shoot at him. <v Speaker 2>I think they did. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, they let's just try to shoot him. I was like, oh, okay. <v Speaker 2>The moral compass on this episode is just all over <v Speaker 2>the place. But he gets cornered in alleyway. Then they <v Speaker 2>get him and string him up and they read him <v Speaker 2>his rights. You have the right to be delighted if <v Speaker 2>you have no gifts. One will be provided for you, <v Speaker 2>basically forcing him to go to Ralph's party. Then Marge <v Speaker 2>arrives as Homer is playing Halo and desecrating a corpse. <v Speaker 2>She he says, we're gonna go to this. She said, <v Speaker 2>we're gonna go to a party or something like that. <v Speaker 2>He says, here, I'll let you play first. Oh, I'm <v Speaker 2>doing it. <v Speaker 3>Now, arrive at the party and cut me, lady, or <v Speaker 3>funnel down thy throat. I've never drunk out of a <v Speaker 3>funnel before, like a beer bong or anything like that. <v Speaker 2>I've never done that. Something that was very big when <v Speaker 2>I was at Uni was laybacks. Did you ever do those? <v Speaker 2>They've got like an ice sculpture that's a little bit <v Speaker 2>of a like a slide, and someone would stand. <v Speaker 3>At the top of it with Of course you didn't <v Speaker 3>fucking grammar boy ice sculptures. <v Speaker 2>This wasn't that high school was I was a good <v Speaker 2>boy at high school. This was at Uni. <v Speaker 3>Okay, it was really an ice sculpture so much. I <v Speaker 3>mean what you said, ice sculpture, okay, because it's. <v Speaker 2>Because I'm a fancy lad. But it was really just <v Speaker 2>the big block of eyes that have been chipped away <v Speaker 2>like a slide, but someone stand at the top of it. <v Speaker 2>They would have like a bottle of lime juice in <v Speaker 2>one hand, a bottle of vodka and the other pour <v Speaker 2>it into the little funnel and you'd be down at <v Speaker 2>the bottom, head back, and yeah, you'd basically get a <v Speaker 2>nice vodka cocktail. We whacked a goom bag on a <v Speaker 2>clothes line. Yours sounds more fun. <v Speaker 3>Basically you spin the clothes on. Whoever it lands on <v Speaker 3>gets to drink out of the goom bag. <v Speaker 2>That sounds great. <v Speaker 3>Understand that in someone's backyard, my mom's inside watching the stories. <v Speaker 2>Goon, Oh, goon, take me back? Eh? You still buy goon? <v Speaker 2>I believe so? But they're having a great time with <v Speaker 3>this party, though, aren't they. Do you think international listeners <v Speaker 3>know what goon is? I have no, it's wine, right, <v Speaker 3>it's cast one, cast one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>But the guys ask Homer, does your hot day have <v Speaker 3>any sisters? <v Speaker 2>Yes? You got twins, twins. <v Speaker 4>There was an astronaut for a little fit. So many rules, <v Speaker 4>no listen how the police down in the hall what's gone? <v Speaker 3>And they go back to his room, but they don't <v Speaker 3>need a bed because they're not going to be sleeping. <v Speaker 3>I did come over the part with the guys are <v Speaker 3>talking to Paddy and someone though who just ran there? <v Speaker 2>Now? <v Speaker 3>So are you both in the same accident? And they <v Speaker 3>can hear banging next door Homer and Margin, and I <v Speaker 3>think they're not. Anyone's having a good time. But it's <v Speaker 3>just one of the guys banging his head against the walls. <v Speaker 2>What was I thinking? <v Speaker 3>The Margin is leaving and he says, come back, I'll <v Speaker 3>cook you some of my famous microwave burritos. I stopped <v Speaker 3>the oven when in the middle bit it's still a <v Speaker 3>little bit frozen and I heard that went that doesn't <v Speaker 3>sound good. <v Speaker 2>What sort of technique is this? I know, you know <v Speaker 2>you what is it? <v Speaker 3>She says, you know, the key to woman's heart or something. <v Speaker 3>I was like, not cooking food properly. If I serve <v Speaker 3>Nikola a frozen meal that wasn't completely cooked, she would <v Speaker 3>leave me of course, right, so still a little bit <v Speaker 3>frozen in the middle. <v Speaker 2>Why would you do that? <v Speaker 3>Am I missing something here? I'm guessing this is a. <v Speaker 2>Gag about the low standards you have when you first <v Speaker 2>start dating or something, or maybe when you're simply yeah, <v Speaker 2>when you're a young person and dating for the first time, <v Speaker 2>you know, you're you're fresh out at home, you don't <v Speaker 2>really know shit. You're willing to accept things that you <v Speaker 2>don't really like. But that's yeah, yeah, in the first <v Speaker 2>flush of love or whatever, it's like, oh, well he <v Speaker 2>can't cook it all, but you know his heart's in <v Speaker 2>the right place. Yeah, he's actually making the gest wow <v Speaker 2>to make me dinner. Yeah, that could be it. Maybe <v Speaker 2>I will accept that. Okay then, because and say it <v Speaker 2>with me, folks, the best jokes are the ones you <v Speaker 2>have to explain. <v Speaker 3>Then he says, you, me and the wife, we can <v Speaker 3>have a two way. We're now at the school. The <v Speaker 3>teacher has now re changed or has changed Lisa's score <v Speaker 3>to A to an A and her daughter is a <v Speaker 3>huge fan of Leska and Nebraska. So basically she's trying <v Speaker 3>to use Lissa to get to Alaska Nebraska. Her daughter <v Speaker 3>wants an autograph, would be very a plus of you <v Speaker 3>to do so. Then she says you don't have to <v Speaker 3>handle it anymore home next week, and Lisa is very <v Speaker 3>just happy. Now I'm like, God, I can't believe I've <v Speaker 3>got this. I don't have to do any homework. But <v Speaker 3>Lisa would surely would want to. <v Speaker 2>She would shape against it, you think, But list is <v Speaker 2>a little inconsistent. <v Speaker 3>Even the Ralph gag of him being French at the <v Speaker 3>school was stupid. He speaks French and then goes into <v Speaker 3>a locker. <v Speaker 2>Well that's the means he's clearly still not that bright, <v Speaker 2>just he's got the betina of sophistication. <v Speaker 3>Homer and Marge are on a date now at the <v Speaker 3>Tapas bar, which is really going heavy of this storyline <v Speaker 3>out there just makes no sense. While you're going on <v Speaker 3>dates and what are the kids yeahs going on? Have <v Speaker 3>we seen Maggie this episode. <v Speaker 2>We actually haven't. She wasn't at the dinner table at <v Speaker 2>the start. I don't recall. I don't think so. They're <v Speaker 2>probably but out of frame at the tapas bar. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>by the way, not how the Spanish really eat? <v Speaker 3>Then I love tapis like an appetizer for a million <v Speaker 3>It never comes. And Homer says, try that. <v Speaker 2>That flann delerche cabra. Do you know what that is? <v Speaker 2>A caramel? It is a goat's milk flan? What's a flan? <v Speaker 3>Well, it plans like cake, okay, like a flat cake <v Speaker 3>or some sort of dessert. I google it and it'll <v Speaker 3>just give me pictures. And I was like, I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>see if guy knows this. <v Speaker 2>Well, I look, shall I confess? I didn't know what <v Speaker 2>that was of top of the dome. I had to <v Speaker 2>do a little googling to find out what Flandalachia. Well, <v Speaker 2>you found out what it was. That's all that matters. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, because knowing is half the battle, because now the <v Speaker 3>listeners don't have to look it up. <v Speaker 2>According to g I Joe listen. <v Speaker 3>But he tells Marge, you dig around in the gunk <v Speaker 3>and she finds the key to his apartment and her <v Speaker 3>president is waiting for him back at the apartment. Where <v Speaker 3>can I have it? Now they've done this game before, <v Speaker 3>well yeah, yeah. Then Caitlyn wants Lisa to do a <v Speaker 3>reading at her bar mitzvah, so her bar mitzvah will <v Speaker 3>now mean something. Also, can you please get tickets to <v Speaker 3>this sold out Alaska Nebraska gig? And Lisa says, well, <v Speaker 3>it's sold out. I can't build more seats when I <v Speaker 3>get backstage passes. Marge is also now redecorated Homer's apartment <v Speaker 3>of it's her apartment, that's the thing, and that's for <v Speaker 3>the story. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, committing to the gag, but at the same time, <v Speaker 2>it's like, I don't like that. <v Speaker 3>But she says, you don't need to weed anymore because <v Speaker 3>I'm here, And he says, you're reminded me of. <v Speaker 2>My ex wife or something. <v Speaker 3>He says someone on those lines my first wife, and <v Speaker 3>we can discuss that after a brunch with my mother. <v Speaker 3>Then Lisa somehow gets into Alaska's room. <v Speaker 2>Oh she smokes away inside the food. Yeah, somehow I <v Speaker 2>don't know actually has pulled this off. She especially so <v Speaker 2>tired of fans being in my food. Got time for <v Speaker 2>Elliot Page as an actor. This is one of those <v Speaker 2>situations we've talked about in the past where you've it's <v Speaker 2>like with Anne Hathaway, a respected actor who's yeah, playing <v Speaker 2>a character as opposed to bringing their star presence to it. Right. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's literally in one scene, Yeah, Alaska Nebraska. The <v Speaker 3>character is mentioned throughout the actual speaking role of Alaska <v Speaker 3>Nebraska is what thirty seconds? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and i'd say with all yeah, do you respect <v Speaker 2>to two page? <v Speaker 3>I would have liked a little more womph. <v Speaker 2>In the performance. I mean I know that, you know, <v Speaker 2>Alaska Nebraskas are meant to be kind of whatever, kind <v Speaker 2>of disaffected and yeah, a bit jaded and does that <v Speaker 2>bit with it? Could you tell her lips sinking that? <v Speaker 2>I don't know, it just it needs a little bit <v Speaker 2>more hot sauce. <v Speaker 9>Look, can you please please help a poor little girl <v Speaker 9>who was just trying to sit in It's what have <v Speaker 9>you o? <v Speaker 8>Songs are about? <v Speaker 5>You know what? <v Speaker 7>I was a little girl who didn't fit in either. <v Speaker 8>So you know what I did. <v Speaker 7>I got a new nose, I got famous, and now <v Speaker 7>I date the starting point guard for the La Clippers. Now, <v Speaker 7>if you excuse me, I have to go meditate and smoke. <v Speaker 5>HM. <v Speaker 7>Wait, I want to ask you something. Could you tell <v Speaker 7>I lip sync that whole speech? You know what, I <v Speaker 7>was a little girl who didn't fit in either, So <v Speaker 7>you know what I did. I got a new nose. <v Speaker 8>That's amazing. <v Speaker 7>I know security, You know. <v Speaker 5>I think those shirts should say insecurity because if you <v Speaker 5>feel you have to put what you are on your shirt, <v Speaker 5>then I feel sorry for you. <v Speaker 9>Do you feel sorry for me? I guess not. <v Speaker 3>And Homer is driven to see a movie without Marge, <v Speaker 3>but he was supposed to hang mirrors with her, and <v Speaker 3>she wants to leave now. She said, that's it. You <v Speaker 3>can have keys back. She can't get the keys off <v Speaker 3>the key ring. I still got to get keys offkey <v Speaker 3>rings as well. <v Speaker 2>Occasionally that will happen for me, certainly, but no, usually <v Speaker 2>I'm pretty good with it. <v Speaker 3>But unfortunately for then, the inspector arrived, so they quickly <v Speaker 3>turned the house into a kid ask house, and they <v Speaker 3>throw toys everywhere and food at the walls and whatnot. <v Speaker 3>And then Lisa comes out, but there's no backstage passes, <v Speaker 3>so she comes clean. Look, I've pretended to be somebody else. <v Speaker 3>That's not who I am. But you know what, I'm <v Speaker 3>now going to be me, and they said get the liar. <v Speaker 3>Then she runs into Costington's as one comes out in <v Speaker 3>new clothes. <v Speaker 2>I like this. There was a last Few Shoes killer. <v Speaker 3>Also it's Lisa killer twice. Then the inspector finds the <v Speaker 3>book with pages missing, a Lego spaceship that has been <v Speaker 3>poorly assembled, and he's disappointed because he wanted to murder <v Speaker 3>them and make it look like a suicide, which is <v Speaker 3>a pretty heavy joke for the Simpsons. It is, yeah, <v Speaker 3>not necessary appropriate for this character, but at the same time, <v Speaker 3>and he just leaves, Look, what was the point? <v Speaker 2>What was the point? We are a little chard going <v Speaker 2>like because how many times we ours? What's the point? Yes? <v Speaker 5>Of this? <v Speaker 3>Well, this feels like one of those ones where they <v Speaker 3>quickly get back to the status quo. So the Inspector's gone, <v Speaker 3>The kids don't like Lisa anymore. The kids arrive and <v Speaker 3>say they want to go back. Bart was playing hide <v Speaker 3>and seek with Millhouse has been three weeks now. It <v Speaker 3>must be a record about to said, but my mate's <v Speaker 3>going to miss me. No, we won't you talk during movies. <v Speaker 3>Lisa says she wants to be ostracized for being her, <v Speaker 3>not who she pretends to be and March says she misses, <v Speaker 3>she'll miss the love Nest, but we should go back. <v Speaker 3>So basically, it's just we didn't get back to Springfield <v Speaker 3>quickly for a reset. Preset hit the recept button and <v Speaker 3>accusted them in their love Nest, which is now but <v Speaker 3>in Butch tree House, which he said, get a room. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>and he says be cool. He says something again, be <v Speaker 3>cool or your grounded, and that's the end of the episode. <v Speaker 3>So the ending very rushed. <v Speaker 2>It just very rush. <v Speaker 3>It just I felt like a story that they didn't <v Speaker 3>quite know where they were going with and then realized, shit, <v Speaker 3>the episode is nearly over. Let's get back to Springfield. <v Speaker 2>I've got a concept. They've decorated it with a few <v Speaker 2>interesting ballballs. But yeah, it's literally the same Lisa story <v Speaker 2>as last week essentially. Yeah, but you do get a <v Speaker 2>reprise of Waverley Hills over the closing credits. <v Speaker 3>We do, indeed, yes, But overall, yeah, this is what <v Speaker 3>I'm not going to revisit. It's pretty forgettable. I mean, <v Speaker 3>there's a couple of funny gags in it, but compared <v Speaker 3>to more recent episodes that were reviewed from season twenty, <v Speaker 3>this is one that feels a little bit directionless, and <v Speaker 3>there's too many characters that are meaningless. <v Speaker 2>I think you're right. <v Speaker 3>Alaska Nebraska a meaningless cameo. The two guys at Homer <v Speaker 3>Lives with pointless don't get their names? Yeah, and three <v Speaker 3>cats literally the same character. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. Ellie Page not necessarily a big enough name to <v Speaker 2>sort of warrant this kind. <v Speaker 3>Of Juna come out, Unia come out the year before? <v Speaker 2>Right? <v Speaker 9>Oh? <v Speaker 2>Actually, yeah, maybe okay, forget I said anything. I guess <v Speaker 2>I was thinking when did the When It Pays become <v Speaker 2>a big, big name? Yeah, and I was thinking, oh, <v Speaker 2>inception in twenty ten. It's like, oh, yeah, I forgot <v Speaker 2>about Juno. <v Speaker 3>Because he was literally playing Juno in this episode. <v Speaker 2>Well that's right, Yes, what do we learn? Bom? What <v Speaker 2>did you learn? The episode? Was the Davis? I learned <v Speaker 2>what flan de lee discabre means because I. <v Speaker 3>Go and I learned that tap is not what the <v Speaker 3>Spanish actually eat. <v Speaker 2>There we go wearn. We learned a heat from this episode, <v Speaker 2>mainly about Spain. From this name forward, your names will <v Speaker 2>be all right. <v Speaker 3>In his time for the Guy, his new Name Championship <v Speaker 3>that he currently on the board stands at this in <v Speaker 3>first position, we have Jared Hornby, he's near me jer <v Speaker 3>on twenty three points. In second position we have Phil <v Speaker 3>Hawkins on twenty one points, and in the third position <v Speaker 3>we have Brian hughesy not me Hughes, just Hughes on <v Speaker 3>eighteen points. Take it away, Okay, then one point goes <v Speaker 3>to schooling around. That is Phil Hawkins is now only <v Speaker 3>one behind. Yeah, it currently stands. He's on twenty two points. <v Speaker 3>Well done, Phil. <v Speaker 2>Oh my goodness. Well, let's see two. <v Speaker 3>Episodes left this season too. It's going to come down <v Speaker 3>to these guys. <v Speaker 2>I reckon. Wow, let's see how we go with when <v Speaker 2>I give two points to don't and out in Waverley Hills, <v Speaker 2>that would be His name is Adam Wiolhouse. Oh oh <v Speaker 2>my goodness. Oh, you're a sly one. <v Speaker 3>He's on eight points. Well on, Adam with the two <v Speaker 3>point are there. <v Speaker 2>I don't think he can win an Adam, but you <v Speaker 2>certainly get a wild card entry. You do indeed, yep, <v Speaker 2>hooray for you. Umm ok, adding, I'm kind of excited. <v Speaker 2>You should be a little nervous. Three points goes too, <v Speaker 2>catchment if you can. <v Speaker 3>That is Mike Salter with his first points of the <v Speaker 3>season wild Card wild Card wild Card is Oh, it's <v Speaker 3>never too late to enter the wild card draws. <v Speaker 2>See you guys. I don't know if you caught that <v Speaker 2>on video, but anytime we mentioned the name Mike Salter, <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna do a little bit of a Salt Bay <v Speaker 2>thing from pis pour audio but fantastic video. Piss poor. <v Speaker 2>Is that an Australian thing? Piss Paul? <v Speaker 3>I think it might be global piss Paull. <v Speaker 2>Wasn't it pissing down out pis Poul? Congratulations to salty <v Speaker 2>mix Salter. <v Speaker 3>Yes, so it means that Mike's down the wild card <v Speaker 3>draw for the end of the season. But it also <v Speaker 3>means that Jared is still number one on twenty three, <v Speaker 3>Phil Hawkins in second on twenty two, and Brian Hughesy <v Speaker 3>on eighteen points in third. Okay, so you get two <v Speaker 3>threes and win if Jerry gets no points and fil <v Speaker 3>gets no points. <v Speaker 2>Wow. So yeah, that's a possibility. It's a possibility. <v Speaker 3>It's mathematically this is not impossible. No, it's just highly improbable. <v Speaker 2>But no, we wish you luck Yusy. We wish everybody <v Speaker 2>luck who ers the Guy Davis New Name Championship or challenge. <v Speaker 2>It's one of those, but either way, it's new names <v Speaker 2>and we're very, very happy that everyone continues to take <v Speaker 2>part in it. <v Speaker 3>Now, the next episode of four Finger Discount from season twenty, <v Speaker 3>we shall be reviewing Four Great Women and a Manicure. <v Speaker 3>I get the feeling it's gonna be one of those <v Speaker 3>ones that has multiple stories and the trilogy ones I <v Speaker 3>never seem to like.
