00:00:00 Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to Bus with Ooys. Special recap Clay Matthews, Delaney Walker rhinoplause for them breaking down the Super Bowl, talking life, talking ball, giving our opinions on everything that happened just last night. But Bust from the Boys is presented by FanDuel Sports, America's number one sports this Saturday. You're not just watching college hoops. You're the builder, and Fanzuel just handed you the tool that makes makes every extra leg worth more, the boost Builder. Here's a deal. You get the boost Builder to use on any two leg, any two leg college basketball parlays. Start building your combo. Add one leg, add another, because every leg you add increases your boost all the way up to one hundred and five percent. One hundred and five percent. So you decide how far you want to take it. Keep it tight, keep it simple, or stack something bold across the whole slate. The more legs you add, the bigger potential boost grows. Just go to FanDuel. Just go to your fandel app, choose the college hoops market, apply your your boost Builder token, and watch the percentage of climb with every pick you locked in. It's your parlay. Your strategy, your boost built exactly how you want. It had to fed to FanDuel dot com slash busting to get started. Boys. Super Bowl takes place Super Bowl sixty San Francisco, Seattle, Seahawks, New England Patriots, our boy Rabes, Mike McDonald. Yeah, and it was exactly how the public sow it. You talk to a lot of people about Hey, like the sharps are big on Seattle. It's on Seattle. It's on the over. That's where all the money was, Seattle. 00:01:36 Speaker 2: And the over. 00:01:37 Speaker 1: Did the over end up hitting? 00:01:38 Speaker 3: No, he didn't. 00:01:39 Speaker 1: I thought it was like a forty five. It wasn't forty five. 00:01:41 Speaker 3: It was forty four and a half or something like that. 00:01:43 Speaker 1: Right, then that doesn't count. That doesn't add up. You're right, doesn't add up. But it was. 00:01:52 Speaker 2: You know, you do the math. 00:01:53 Speaker 1: If you do the math, if you carry the one and you move it around, that doesn't hit forty five. So that's on me for that. But dude, the defense was incredibly dominant. Exotic Blitz has also got there with Ford Drake May he seems like he was a little lost. The offensive line had a tough time protecting receivers weren't getting separation. Jysm's even out for a quarter, and Buddy Kenneth walker. 00:02:15 Speaker 3: Man crushed it crushed. 00:02:16 Speaker 1: So how do we feel, boys. 00:02:19 Speaker 2: Let's just call spade a spade. The super Bowl was a snooze fest. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was a snooze fest. It was boring, like the Siico in you appreciates, you know, an ass beating or schematically when you know, as a defensive guy too, Clay, It's like when you see defenses getting home with four like, oh man, you know, covered checks whatever, it is just getting after Like I appreciate that, but you know, in this older age, like I want to see some exciting football. And I caught myself because I was on Seattle the whole time, but we had the week there, we had the interview with Variable like we're round more Patriots, Like I started to fall in love with the story. I started to fall in love with the idea, you know what, maybe they can do it. I was hopeful that they did that, they could do it. I bet against them still. 00:03:02 Speaker 1: But you put yourself in a win win situation. 00:03:05 Speaker 2: And then when it happened, you're just like, yeah, it was always going to be this way. It was always going to be this way. I'm mad at bon Knicks. I'm mad Josh Allen couldn't get it done in Denver, and then I'm mad at bon Knicks for getting hurt at the end of that game. Yeah, not saying that they would have beat him, but. 00:03:20 Speaker 3: It would have been more excited. 00:03:21 Speaker 2: It'd have been more exciting. 00:03:22 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I just want I just want good ball. You know my mother in laws and who do you want. I'm like, well, I like the underdog story of the Patriots, like we all think Seattle and their defense. You want to see Sam Donald. I'm like, i just want a good game and halftime. I'm texting you're just being like this, this is a snooze fest. I was just walking around upset. I didn't even watch the fourth quarter, I don't think. But it was just it's exactly what we all envisioned, and even more so, it reminded me of that forty nine Ers Seahawks game the two times they played, specifically the week sixteen seventeen whatever it was, where don't from Seattle's point of view, Sam Donald, don't turn the ball over, don't make mistakes, Kenneth Walker, run the ball run the cut. Let our defense win the game. And yeah, the sick on one. You was like, this is great defense. Like let's not be confused, or let's not be let's not misinterpret this. This was a dominant defense. But like, you know, you want to see both quarterbacks duel it out for three hundred like we saw in the Rams Delanne, you talk about the rams Seahawks game in the NFC Championship game, like that is what we want to see in the Super Bowl and for all, for all intents and purposes, that was the Super Bowl winner of that game. 00:04:28 Speaker 2: They felt like you're sitting there watching it home when that fourth quarter hit and it was pretty much out of reach. You just felt like any old average weekday, that's what are you watch a Thursday night game, that's or any game that's like over where you're just like, all right, let's start getting ready for bed. 00:04:41 Speaker 1: Yeah that sucks, because, yeah, you want the Super Bowl to be great. And they had like a wide view where they had like end zone, and the end zone kind of showed the crowd a little bit. They see guys walking around, and it just it didn't feel like the most important game of the year. At one point, because it was so out of reach. But there was a I mean, you guys talking about wanting good ball. Get to like the part where Drake May goes down the field those adopted Collins and in the back of the end zone, in the front of the end zone, and you're like, okay, we got a little something. Then they go like four and out. 00:05:08 Speaker 2: And because Delaney started saying this, y yeah, yeah, I'm the champion. And then once the page scored, I'm like, oh, ship something about that. 00:05:22 Speaker 1: The Patriots get the ball back and they start dicing up and you're like, oh, let's fucking They're actually about to turn this into a game. Because as much as Seattle was dominant, they were just kicking threes the whole time. So they had, you know, three possessions with points and it was still a two score game, like it was nothing. And literally I look at the group chat and I see your text says what is Drake May doing? I'm like, fuck, something about to happen. Sure Enough, the next play, Drake May just sails one in the middle of the field. I'm like, what the fuck what are we doing? 00:05:49 Speaker 2: That one wasn't even the pick. It was the start of that series. Where he missed Austin Hooper. Oh why Hooper got right behind the defense miss him on the overthrow. Then the next play he throws into like triple coverage, could have been picked off. Then he went on that scramble, which is like going triple coverage. Then he takes off running on third down, and we're trying to figure out if we're if I'm behind, if I'm ahead. It's like, oh, you're you're lying or something about about lying and maybe then the pick happens, and then I'm like, Okay, you know what I'm talking about. You thought did you think I was trying to cover up? 00:06:22 Speaker 5: I thought you were trying to cover up to health because I didn't see the pick yet. 00:06:25 Speaker 2: Oh got you you were talking about? Yeah, and then he throws that pick. It's just like son of a bitch man. There there was a long period of time where I want to say, Collinsworth came on and said that they hadn't had a first down since like the first quarter. 00:06:42 Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, and it was just three and out after three and out, man, It's it shocked, But there was a piece of hope in me when when Drake threw that touchdown and all that was happening before he threw that insane pick. I was like, oh, we're about to have a game, like a game that's so terrible but ends up the last like fifteen minutes is unbelievable. And it wasn't. There was like three minutes of like all right, here we go, we got little something. 00:07:05 Speaker 2: Here and then and it felt like too like Seattle. Even when they were taking threes, like they were almost uh, just playing like all right, we're in range here. It it'd be like what third and five or third and six and they'd run the football. It's almost as they would just play for three. Yeah, we're gonna beat this team. Like this offense isn't gonna move on us, right. 00:07:22 Speaker 1: It's almost as if they watched the Patriots Bronco game and they're just like, yeah, we'll just take points when they give to us yep. And instead of like trying to press and get seven or get six, like, let's just take three and let this game come to us. 00:07:32 Speaker 2: In all sixty minutes, almost even New England it felt like wasn't playing aggressive. They ran the ball on a third and five and just kind of played for field position. We're just like trying to get in trying to get in some kind of scoring range. 00:07:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, Collinsworth was bringing that up, like both teams were playing so conservative at points in the game where it's like, now you open it up, Like I understand that the first couple of series on both sides, like the nerves have to be insane. Yeah, I mean you two both know what it's like walking into a super Bowl and how everyone's butt holes are super tight. But once you get into like the second quarter, it's like, Okay, now you're playing, you should have like all the nerves off of you and understanding, Okay, this is just a game. Let's try to. 00:08:08 Speaker 2: Is it like that like when you hit you know, that first quarter when you guys are experiencing the Super Bowl for the first time. 00:08:14 Speaker 4: What year were you in, because, like I've always said this, I was only in year two. So in two thousand and nine, my rookie year, that's when a Rod started getting hot. We lost that fifty one to forty nine overtime thriller to the Arizona Cardinals, And so for me, even though the season ended, I was like, thank goodness. You know, you talk about how long that season is. And then the next year we're kind of underdogs, a sixth seed, And so I didn't like the Super Bowl to me in my second year, like you don't you would hope, you know, Drake would have that same that same mindset, which is like, don't make it bigger than it is. So that's kind of how I approached it. And I think I played lou still talking, talking my stuff out there, like having fun, and you know, our defense showed up. But I think if I was in year ten or whatever, it was like, you know, you might be a little tense in the first quarter, like you had mentioned I'm not sure about you doing Yeah, I stal with or you just I mean, you just realized the magnitude of the game. Like I think about it now, like the loss is really like the NFC Championship game against the Seahawks, Like we beat the Patriots earlier that year. Granted it was at Lambeau, but that's a Rod versus Tom Brady in the super Bowl, and that Super Bowl still gave us that the interception on the goal line. But you think of like anybody can win one Super Bowl, like what about two times? You know, you start thinking like that and like what what type of places would you have made and what does that mean for your legacy? Like you start playing those games, but you know when you're young in your career, like, oh man, that's whatever, Like you know the next year we're fifteen and one, you know we're gonna be back again. 00:09:38 Speaker 3: Yeah I was. I was in year seven. So that was like you come out, you You're like, am I ever gonna get here again? I gotta win this game? So you kind of playing with that for the stats. 00:09:48 Speaker 4: Here you got a nice little picture with you. 00:09:49 Speaker 1: That's a nice little picture right there. 00:09:52 Speaker 3: That's uh, I forget his name. He was one of those big dbs. 00:09:56 Speaker 1: He was good. He was good unless earn it, right, unless they earn it. 00:10:01 Speaker 3: But no, I was I'll be honest. I was nervous as hell until to the second half. I think the second half. That's when we came back out and was just like we've done this before, we've been here. All the guys kind of chilled out after that. But I think being a seven year bet going and going to the Super Bowl, you're not really knowing if you're gonna have that opportunity to go back. I mean, shit, that's like you gotta win because I don't know when I'm coming back, And I never went back obviously. 00:10:26 Speaker 2: But. 00:10:30 Speaker 1: We had a chance. We had a chance, you did. We had a chance for Delanny, for you this when you were in the Super Bowl playing, what was that week like? And then because you go every year to the Super Bowl, you're there in San Francisco, Like I'm thinking about it as a guy that's never been there, but watching like Opening Night, all the media taking place, how it's like a true event for seven days, and I can only imagine how I would be sitting in a hotel room like you an tame me get on social media, you realize everybody and anybody in your world is talking about this. Was it like that when you played. 00:11:02 Speaker 2: Everybody in the city? 00:11:04 Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like it was like that, but the magnitude obviously is way better because of social media podcasts. 00:11:11 Speaker 2: You got everybody in there. 00:11:13 Speaker 3: But I'd say I wasn't as a big as a star back then. So when you that star, you you really getting pulled here here, here. You gotta do interviews, you gotta go meet these people. You gotta do this. So Drake being young and being a star and him the runner up to MVP, like I feel like he was being tugged to do a lot of things, and and it almost probably took him away from football a little bit, because you there, you know, you get there early. They're like, hey, we got a lot of appearances. You're drake. You gotta stop at hospitals, you gotta kiss babies, you gotta take pictures, you gotta do all these interviews. 00:11:48 Speaker 1: All the things. 00:11:48 Speaker 3: And it's probably like, damn, I made it second year, and everybody tell him how good he is. And sometimes you put that put football on the back burner because you know, practice is not as hard. 00:11:58 Speaker 4: I'm cut you off here, but like I read, I thought this was interesting that the Patriots did not install their game plan until they got to San Francisco. So here's what we did in Green Bay is we spent that first week putting in the install We treated it you know, hey, you'd have Tuesday off, We treated it the same Wednesday, Wednesday, shells Thursday, full pads Friday, and then you travel out there maybe Saturday. So the next week all the you were ready to go, but you had another week of preparation. I and obviously I'm saying this in hindsight now, like and Josh mcdamiels has coached in a number of Super Bowls where even if they've lost Brady Stone for five hundred yards, I don't you know, you look at the result and what you saw, Like with all the distractions out there, would they have changed things up. 00:12:43 Speaker 2: Or the different perspective of maybe football is not on the back burner, like football is sitting at the forefront of your mind. And when you're trying to study and do all the ball, but you're also thinking about all the obligations you're gonna have to do, you know what I mean, Like, all right, I got to get all my studying in and I only have like an hour and a half right now before I got to do this or do that. Kind of just pulls away. That's the part that kind of like pulls that you because you can't be fully focused on the task at hands. 00:13:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, how much entertainment is too much entertainment? Like when we're watching the Super Bowl last night, every time they would go to or from a commercial break, it'd be like solo shots of like Lawrence like. 00:13:16 Speaker 2: And like. 00:13:19 Speaker 1: And I'm thinking, when did they do thisself? Like, Okay, we're doing we're doing a photo shoot for this like if someone was like Taylor super Bowl, we have to do a photo show, even my attention Hordness would be like, I don't need to. This is that's ridiculous. Might just take a photo like you saw Harold Landry, Yeah, did you see it all? Everybody's in like nice outfits or what they they're like styled up, and then Harold's just in like the zip op like whatever the team gave him. Like Harold's doing it right. Yeah, Harold understood the process here. I just thought it was weird that they had like SNL cutaway type of things where they're like showing guys like doing. 00:13:53 Speaker 2: The little. 00:13:55 Speaker 1: Like that. 00:13:56 Speaker 4: It looked like the Seattle boys like they got dressed up. They looked like Cooper's down on the knee like new kids, like ken Walker's got his glass. It looked like the Patriots were buttoned up like you had said, they had the zip up and whatnot, like that was their media day attire. But you kind of get caught up in it all too when you go through it, like and you know, when you're playing to you almost feel like you don't have a voice until you're older. You kind of just go with the flow because you don't want to be abrasive. So there's a bit of that, And I mean, who knows. 00:14:20 Speaker 3: I actually like that if they would have won, it would have just really. 00:14:25 Speaker 4: And the Warriors. I'm blanking on Buddy's name. I just know, I just know he's always barefoot. Yeah, he scored a touchdown right. 00:14:31 Speaker 1: In front of the show a booth. 00:14:33 Speaker 5: At the Super Bowl for opening night, your own individual boots. What's that like? 00:14:38 Speaker 2: Man? 00:14:39 Speaker 4: You know what? It's one you guys were loaded with about like your super Bowl team. I mean I kind of understand, and to be honest, like we've talked about you were always playing second fiddle to Vernon Davis. Was he still on the team at the time. Oh yeah, yeah, so like but they I mean everybody and that was Cap and Frank or just Smith Patricks like bro, you're forty nine or I love like in hindsight, when you think of those matches, it was a good matchups defensively Alton Smith with his. 00:15:12 Speaker 3: Long as Justice Smith Smith McDonald's Brooks. 00:15:18 Speaker 4: So what really happened that halftime when they shut the lights off? Because I know San Francisco, you got the electrical substation and a lot of conspiracy theories floating around what happened. 00:15:28 Speaker 3: Yeah, back in the game, we had talked about it on the bus. We had Patrick Willis. 00:15:35 Speaker 2: It hasn't here yet. 00:15:37 Speaker 3: Well, never mind, don't. 00:15:39 Speaker 2: He'll break it down and say, look at the dudes in the suits that's come up right before the lights. 00:15:44 Speaker 3: All you got to do is look at the guys and and then and you see how it's like shadow The lights are not even all off. 00:15:51 Speaker 4: How is the how are the auxiliary lights? You know, call generator. You know what I'm saying. Just in case there's an emergency, so the generators don't kick on all the lights just they We need a big generatorator. 00:16:04 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, big as well. No, I think it was I think it was turned off purpose. The game was getting it was getting out of hand and they needed to slow the game. 00:16:17 Speaker 4: Yeah it worked. 00:16:18 Speaker 3: And I feel like even with the like even I know it's subtle, but these streakers, the games was getting out of hand. The streaker comes out, slows the game down. Patriots scored touchdown. Keep it one, honey, look think about it. That's how it's like. They do things like that to slow Yeah, slow the game. Yeah, it definitely is something about it. 00:16:42 Speaker 2: I don't know, you know. 00:16:43 Speaker 1: Uh, this is a good job of I don't even know the streaker happened. I was on Twitter and then I ended up seeing the streaker. Yeah, but I want to see that on TV. 00:16:52 Speaker 2: Now. They they yeah, they won't do it. 00:16:54 Speaker 1: You see all these things down like these different gambling apps. We can gambling like regular like every day streaker people will bet on a streaker, like they'll bet on a streaker and then they'll be the one that streaks and get paid. 00:17:06 Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what he was doing, saying his back, he's streaking because he betted, he betted on it. 00:17:11 Speaker 1: Zooming on his back. 00:17:13 Speaker 6: But it's something at his yea, yeah, and hands in the hands and hands oh man. 00:17:24 Speaker 3: That's a social media trained, flex trained. 00:17:28 Speaker 1: Buddy is Buddy is rock. 00:17:31 Speaker 2: He's got a nice back. 00:17:35 Speaker 3: But when he saw a Patriot coming after a kicker or something like that, it was a receiver. 00:17:48 Speaker 4: Outside of Christian Zal, he is probably the only one who played defense at the defense was. 00:17:55 Speaker 2: Tell you what, early in the game. 00:17:57 Speaker 3: I want to say that if it means something crazy, okay, all right, I've never been. 00:18:04 Speaker 2: For sure, Yeah, but I thought though based on the first couple of series I was like, Sammy d might throw himself a pick at some point because Patriots and he he was still slinging it to me in my mind, He's like, all right, I'm not gonna let this moment get too big, Like I'm just gonna cut it loose. He was cutting it. 00:18:22 Speaker 1: Yeah, there was one of the linebacker was so tight and they went and stapped and everything over. 00:18:31 Speaker 2: About when the tight ends. 00:18:32 Speaker 1: Yeah, Barnum Barnum, Michigan Man, Barner Barnum, Michigan. 00:18:37 Speaker 2: State clump in on the first touchdown. 00:18:42 Speaker 3: Out what you called that one one of the social contractors. 00:18:46 Speaker 5: He was like, I have a weird feeling that the first touchdowns. 00:18:50 Speaker 1: It's weird that happened in the second half. 00:18:53 Speaker 2: And then what what do you say? I can't believe this Barner touchdown, first touchdown still alive because I been scored. 00:19:00 Speaker 1: It was like nothing minutes after that text too. Yeah, thought I thought the Patriots game plan was real basic too, Like they didn't every time. 00:19:09 Speaker 2: We felt that way when you watch the play Like when we were sitting there breaking down and watching kind of the playoff film, I was like, man, their running game is just duo in one back, maybe a couple zones and then they get into two back and try to run the ball. I'm thinking in my head, like, there's no way this team is just gonna be able to run the football Seattle right break, not a. 00:19:29 Speaker 1: Whole lot of motions, And like when Henderson was in, it was, hey, let's try to get the perimeter every single time with pitch concepts, tackle pulling out to the perimeter, and then with a Remandre it's like, yeah, duo duo inside zone. Let's just try to beat him up. And it's like then the passing game was, Hey, let's let's drop back and just see what happens. Let's have like route concepts, like there was no like getting getting Drake to use his legs, Like let's roll him out, hit a little mar or like a Randall type thing. You fake the handoff, you keep rolling so he can have that that run option in front of him, but also a flow of like wide receive coming over the top as you just kind of sait there, like you kind of just put it looked like day one install. 00:20:04 Speaker 2: And then that's why I felt like Drake was kind of feeling the pressure because there would also still be guys that he could have hit before he takes the sack. 00:20:12 Speaker 1: No, And it breaks my heart too, because like they were like Collinsworth and them who are calling the game were so ready to come out Will Campbell, And to be like fair to them, Will did not play good by any means, Like it wasn't like he had like a great game, and you know, people were just talking shit like he played not bad. He played bad, But there were a lot of plays that figures are getting pointed at him, and I'm like, well, that's not necessarily his fault. One specifically was the bull rush that took place earlier in the game. Guard hits him and hits him off of a will Drake starts rolling out to the right because there's pressure on the right side, ends up ending up in a sack, and they're like, Will Campbell got bullied on that plan. I'm like, well, not really, but they just there's a couple of times too. Drake's like sitting there in the pocket, He's got a clean pocket for seconds and the guards getting just like dying a slow death to the point we're like, look at the guard, be like, buddy, that's you can't really do anything more than that. Yeah, And it gets a sack over the top of the guard. 00:21:03 Speaker 3: They just showed it. Yeah, first sack. I think it was his first career sack. That gout get in there and just bull rushes him. Yeah. 00:21:10 Speaker 4: I think the biggest difference maker in this game is like what we saw we talked about with the Patriots doing you know, single back. They never had two backs in the backfield. They never brought in or they did bring in six I think one time to block and they hit Booty on like a twenty plus yard reception. But you look at the Seahawks and what they did bring in Witherspoon, especially like he hadn't blitzed all year and then he comes out and blitzes like six times more than he had all year. Could have had MVP if they would have counted that interception to Nuosu as a sack caused fumble for a touchdown. But I mean that's the biggest difference I thought. I think we all understood, like, hey, Seattle roster wise has a better team. But as far as the simulated pressures they had, not allowing the Patriots to run when they were in too high early and downs like it, they just I think they made those those two weeks because you never know what's going to happen. I think that's what why we all had hoped that the Patriots would find a way to do something, but it seemed more of the same, and to be honest, they struggled through the playoffs. We talked about strength of schedules. Now, I know they played three of the top five defenses and then played the number six ranked defense, but it was more the same where Seattle, defensively speaking, found a way to take advantage of at least the left side of the line, but it seemed like it wasn't like but. 00:22:21 Speaker 2: Seattle also just has a great offense as well, Like. 00:22:24 Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't have to do anything different. They just ran the ball, don't turn it over, kick field goals and allow your defense. But the defense forced Drake into that interception. They sacked him six times, they got pressure on him. You know, however many times I think that was the difference maker then. But I mean it was, like like you mentioned earlier, it was fun to watch from a defensive standpoint, but outside of that, like. 00:22:46 Speaker 1: Then running Kenneth Walker, like, the only time they really got into trouble is when they're like, let's try to pass here, Like if it is were have kept running for Kenneth, buddy, it would have had been even more of. 00:22:55 Speaker 2: A blowout than it actually was. 00:22:56 Speaker 4: He was going into I don't know, thinking franchise and I'm not sure, maybe it was a second round pick, but going into a contract year. Winning that Super Bowl MVP good for him. 00:23:07 Speaker 2: He turned it up. 00:23:10 Speaker 1: He had that Leveon Bell type of patience in that he sit there, He's like, but Ei, there was one It was just kind of since pats Vee boom, Yeah, because there was one. They were in like a duo type of play. You can see from the side and it looks like it's all hemmed up. Linebackers are in there. It's like, oh, this is going nowhere. And he just sitting in the sitting in the backfield, sitting and then hits a small little area and gets seven or eight yards. He it was very impressive. 00:23:33 Speaker 4: With Sharboney going down. I mean, you never want to see anybody get hurt, but that was the best thing for him too. And I know, obviously we talked about this on one of the shows, Kenneth Walker, how he was running early in the year. But I mean, yeah, I mean he took advantage of his opportunity and NF. I mean you look at the rosters too. It's strict segueing here, but you look at Seattle like they're loaded, Like you got your quarterback for another two years, you lock up your running back. They drafted well on the off offensive line with Zabel getting yeah, defensively with those dbs, you know even worry uh uh DeMarcus Lawrence and williams Uh. You know, they're getting older, they get long in the tooth. But like brother, they should be the number one team next year, if not the Rams, like it's gonna be one a one. 00:24:19 Speaker 2: On top of all that, they're like they might be five or six in cap space top five and caps of the spend. 00:24:29 Speaker 4: Is Jayson on his rookie deal? 00:24:31 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Jason's a rookie deal. Sam Darnold, Like, I think it's it's weird to say only one hundred million as opposed to some of these quarterbacks. 00:24:39 Speaker 4: You know, ralf a bill that they got rookie contract running back, yep. 00:24:43 Speaker 2: Squad that they got guys coming back and having that much money to also spend. 00:24:47 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I don't think he even money like run yeah basically yeah. 00:24:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, but un is not like a death for running Yeah, who gonna break? Yeah, I mean you think Seattle, like Seattle is gonna want them take a hometown discount. 00:25:05 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yes they are. 00:25:06 Speaker 4: But I think as a running back, you don't get paid a whole lot. How much too? How much does did Derek Henry got realp he got there? What's he making? Eleven million? 00:25:13 Speaker 3: Thirteen? 00:25:14 Speaker 4: That's nothing? Yeah, I think, but we always talk about running backs and tight ends. As much as they contribute to the offense, they don't make as much as pass rushers, quarterbacks, you know, comparatively whatever the word would be. Where you know, they're making fifty sixty million dollars, like a running back who can run for should have been one seventy if not for the holding uh call one should have brought Terrell Davis is a super Bowl record, But nonetheless, like twelve million is nothing. I mean, I hate that, you know, but yeah, with the cap and the CAP's going up every year, probably another ten million. 00:25:43 Speaker 2: You know. 00:25:44 Speaker 4: It's so you think they're standing. 00:25:46 Speaker 3: I think he's gonna test the market just to see where he was. 00:25:49 Speaker 4: Just well, you should get offers. 00:25:50 Speaker 1: But they march before the new year it opens up because. 00:25:54 Speaker 5: The NFL salary cap has increased by almost one hundred millions. 00:25:58 Speaker 3: Two yeah, because a gambling that's why, Because of Taim Swift and because of these. 00:26:03 Speaker 4: Gambling games out in Australia. Yeah yeah, and forty nine playing in Australia next year. 00:26:13 Speaker 1: No ship, How much. 00:26:13 Speaker 2: Bullshit is that? 00:26:14 Speaker 5: Bro? 00:26:15 Speaker 2: I hate that? Think about it, dude, They're right there in Cali, like you got a division rival, Like how far away are you guys from each other? That's not half? 00:26:28 Speaker 4: I'm sorry, well you know Seattle, Yeah, something like that. But either way, now you gotta fly twelve and a. 00:26:32 Speaker 2: Half hours playing Australia. Man longer. 00:26:36 Speaker 1: No way you're saying it. I'm with you right now. 00:26:39 Speaker 5: How do you feel about the halftime show topic? 00:26:42 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this is so Clump doesn't have a mic, but he just asked Will about the halftime show? 00:26:46 Speaker 2: Wanted to watch? I sent her to a room. You ain't watching this ship. I'm trying to raise an American. 00:26:53 Speaker 4: You didn't like. 00:26:54 Speaker 1: Hey, no, buddy is American? 00:26:57 Speaker 2: No he ain't. He don't love us. 00:27:01 Speaker 4: I love how you lean into it all the time. That's what you're so great? 00:27:04 Speaker 2: Well told us come down here, sweet, I got something else on for you. She comes down. We got kid Rock playing. 00:27:13 Speaker 4: Listening is Alex Jones podcast. 00:27:16 Speaker 2: Yeahein files keep watching Kidat. How was you able to when did that come on the Kid Rock halftime? 00:27:25 Speaker 1: I think it was at halftime where at you. 00:27:28 Speaker 4: Had to go to like I don't know, you know, a different the White House law, the White House, don't know it was. 00:27:36 Speaker 2: Watching something I saw getting killed. Yeah I did too. Yeah I was yeah, and again I was just getting that from my my ex timeline. But it seemed like everybody was killing the viewership. That is honestly, we had uh. We had told rue like now we have the power back on and everything else, like we're gonna get the hot tub up and going. So during halftime we went out and just got hot tub. But it wasn't for like a protest. I told myself this, I let my family go and do that, like I'm gonna join you guys, And internally I was like, this is me protest. 00:28:10 Speaker 4: You what did you think of the show? 00:28:11 Speaker 2: Though? 00:28:12 Speaker 4: In all honesty, when I I don't. 00:28:13 Speaker 2: I didn't see it. I didn't see any of it. 00:28:15 Speaker 4: Okay, you were just out. 00:28:17 Speaker 2: We were out in the hot tub. 00:28:18 Speaker 4: I feel like you didn't miss much. I don't think there was any contra anything controversial about it. I think, aside from the song that starts with the violin, Like I was like, okay, I've heard that song. I had no idea what was going on, but it was filmed in such a way. We talked about this when the show started, like it was cool in that regard, but I felt like the music video, yeah, it felt like you were there, Like it was not like the fish Eye Lands, but like, I don't know the way it was filmed. It just didn't look like it was from behind a camera. So it was kind of cool in that regard. But and then you saw we talk about Ricky Martin looks good man, it looks good out. 00:28:53 Speaker 1: Listen. I didn't understand a word in the whole halftime show, but I thought it was kind of solid. It was somebody kind of went off little bit. I'm thinking, I'm like, he's got to be saying something cool right now what I did. And I love how all the plants were people, but they had the plants walking out after the bushes were people falls through the house and that was then it cuts to him like getting up. I'm like, dude, this dude, and you know, it was. 00:29:15 Speaker 3: Like it was supposed to be like the nineteen seventies when he fell through, That's why everything changed. 00:29:20 Speaker 2: It was like the nineteen seventies. 00:29:21 Speaker 3: Then he walked back out right into twenty twenty six, like that was supposed to be. Like the message behind it because I use my ear pods and put it on a translation, so I can pretty much. 00:29:31 Speaker 1: Understand everything in a different level. I mean, you know, he was saying that, you know, they got he was saying that they did, dude when he when he fell through the house. I'm like, me and Town are talking a little. I'm like, yeah, this is like entertaining. I don't know what's going on, but it's it's solid, Like I don't even so mad about immediately cuts the two guys grinding, I know, by the truck. What the fuck were doing here? When return to that, guys like I don't know, Like, but why what was that that was about the truck? 00:30:03 Speaker 3: I said, what was that? 00:30:04 Speaker 2: Right? 00:30:05 Speaker 1: Quick little flash? 00:30:07 Speaker 2: Hey? 00:30:09 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, a little bit that right there. I thought that was sick. 00:30:13 Speaker 4: You know, it's just a cutaway though, right yeah? 00:30:16 Speaker 3: Oh what? Oh yeah, Okay, I was wondering. 00:30:19 Speaker 2: I'm glad I was about that. It has happened. 00:30:23 Speaker 1: Hey, that really wasn't cut away? I could like I thought, I thought it was an incredible camera was acting because dude, bad him. You see all the celebrities walking by, like, hey, are you excited for the bad Bundy? Like no, like people just being like outwardly angry about bad Bunny. People forget about how great he Wasn't happy Gilmore too, Like you don't want to give credit for that? 00:30:46 Speaker 2: What was he? What was he doing? 00:30:48 Speaker 1: He was a caddy? 00:30:48 Speaker 2: Was the caddy the whole down? 00:30:51 Speaker 4: You see happy Goodmore to sport that. 00:30:54 Speaker 1: Yeah, look that's him. 00:30:58 Speaker 2: Oh ship. He worked at the red he took the fro the restaurant, and he was good. 00:31:02 Speaker 1: He was good in the movie. Have you not seen the movie? 00:31:05 Speaker 2: I've seen it. I've seen it, but I've kind of forgotten. 00:31:09 Speaker 4: You know that lets you as you are. 00:31:12 Speaker 1: I'm thinking there's no way that you've forgotten. 00:31:15 Speaker 2: Remember I didn't watch it the opening night, that's okay. So when we were talking about on the pod the next week, I hadn't watched it yet. I remember like they played some you know, but modern video game type golf at the end for the wind. 00:31:26 Speaker 3: They loved him until he got the super Bowl halftime show. That's just how I have, Like, you know, Donald Trump. They love Donald Trump to he became the president. 00:31:35 Speaker 4: So I mean, weve got a messag from Donald Trup. 00:31:39 Speaker 3: I said, loved him until he became the president. That's how they loved him until he had the super Bowl halftime show. 00:31:48 Speaker 2: How you guys feel about him sitting down during God Bless America. Didn't love that. 00:31:51 Speaker 3: I didn't see it. 00:31:52 Speaker 2: Didn't love that when that was a clip. 00:31:55 Speaker 1: It was a clip that showed like bad Buddy was sitting there. Well, they're saying, I don't think it was God Bless America was national anthem? 00:32:00 Speaker 2: Was this real? But was real? 00:32:03 Speaker 1: Hey, I'll tell you what I mean. 00:32:05 Speaker 2: My kids up the one photo I saw, I don't know if that was him, but. 00:32:11 Speaker 4: You saw it on that and it's gotta be true. 00:32:14 Speaker 2: I was looking for some rage out there. 00:32:17 Speaker 3: So they supposed to be about anything that's not him. 00:32:20 Speaker 4: That's him at a baseball game, even that that ain't the super Bowl. Man, I know what I'm saying this game that don't even. 00:32:28 Speaker 2: Do that look like him to you? 00:32:30 Speaker 4: Yeah, he said America. 00:32:38 Speaker 3: I'm like, yo, I didn't see that. 00:32:41 Speaker 4: No, no, no, there they're he didn't sing taking out to the ball game in the six He's an anti American right there? 00:32:47 Speaker 1: How can we tell that I did see the same thing you did? Why why do not you stand up thinking? 00:32:51 Speaker 2: And then when I saw too, they're like, oh, the entire show was in Spanish ball ball. I was like it should be fucking English. 00:33:01 Speaker 4: Lots of clips. 00:33:04 Speaker 2: Jake Paul told me not to watch this and go watch watch in the hot Human. 00:33:10 Speaker 4: So then you you must have loved last year' Kendrick lamar a super Bowl, then if you if you enjoyed bad Bunny this year, right, tell me about last year's. 00:33:18 Speaker 2: Is that when he was doing that, he did the Drake song? 00:33:20 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:33:21 Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I are you with? 00:33:23 Speaker 2: That was what are you? 00:33:27 Speaker 4: Are you Drake or Kendrick Man? 00:33:31 Speaker 3: It was all Drake before the beef? 00:33:33 Speaker 1: You think I think the majority of majority of the country was all drink before the beef. And then Kendrick came out of nowhere like wait a minor hold on, yeah, hold on this guy, Hey, we were talking about we're talking about Yeah. 00:33:47 Speaker 2: Last name commedy. You don't support because. 00:33:52 Speaker 3: That was great. 00:33:54 Speaker 4: Been hard to Yeah, but watching it with kids a year before are sure? Little John two thousand and four senior year in high school, that was. 00:34:04 Speaker 3: A good I think the way I think they changed the dynamic of because you got to think about yeah, prior to Super Bowls, just like can't kid friendly artists that plays that? You know everyone knows their music? White, black, Asian masking. You know Kendrick Lamar, I don't know how many people knew his music. A couple of white folks. 00:34:23 Speaker 1: A couple of white folks, last confident? 00:34:27 Speaker 2: Do you know his music? Did I know? 00:34:29 Speaker 4: It's usually before? 00:34:30 Speaker 1: Yeah, if you you would have put on one of his I know this, I've. 00:34:33 Speaker 2: Heard this before. I didn't even have that's this is that Bambino? 00:34:44 Speaker 3: Hey? 00:34:45 Speaker 1: That song came out like ten years ago, like last year, two years. Have you just heard this song? This is America song? But I think it was like Jack and garyl like, yeah, that's been out for a decade. 00:34:57 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:34:58 Speaker 1: Uh, Claiff, you could have one one band artist be the halftime show at the Super Bowl. 00:35:02 Speaker 2: What would it be for you? 00:35:04 Speaker 1: What would seem to Clay Matthews the most top A sharp dress man, just open it up. 00:35:12 Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I'd like to be prepared, you know. Thanks producer clump over here you got I don't don't. 00:35:19 Speaker 1: I texted I take the Globus. I was like, I'm gonna ask about the halftime show, so make sure everybody knows. 00:35:26 Speaker 4: Put me on the spot now. I don't know, I think something for the like I'm at the age now. 00:35:29 Speaker 2: Where I like you Clay Matthews. 00:35:31 Speaker 1: Yeah, what does Clay Matthews want to listen to? 00:35:33 Speaker 4: I don't listen to a whole lot of radio, to be honest with you. In the bar, but I don't know who's. 00:35:38 Speaker 1: Some hot hot like no, no, no, I don't know who hot is. What does Clay like listen to you? It's like if you could pick the Halse, you won't be. 00:35:44 Speaker 4: Really good if you've got a bunch of country music stars together. If you were able to get a bunch of like old and new country stars up there, because I think country has you know that, along with pop has really taken over. So you can get like Morgan Walling and uh Thomas Redd you just. 00:36:00 Speaker 2: He just run he running the Jelly Road playbook right now? 00:36:02 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, which I do. 00:36:04 Speaker 2: I think that would be gas. 00:36:05 Speaker 4: Yeah, one hundred and seconds. I felt like that Nashville after after the Grain, I disagreed, like they've got like it's not just countries and country where it's a lot of pie grounds, like they could transcend just being a Southern genre of music. So that that's what I would like to listen to. 00:36:21 Speaker 3: I'm gonna say fifty he did. 00:36:24 Speaker 4: He did it in l A with us. He came out down Yeah, rush, he was, he was gas. 00:36:30 Speaker 3: He was like that ship was hard though, But give him his own super Bowl and see. 00:36:34 Speaker 2: What he have. 00:36:35 Speaker 3: I promise you in New York can't be anywhere else he'll be because. 00:36:38 Speaker 2: That's right because they was talking about him looking like a dollar instead. 00:36:41 Speaker 1: Of get a little He came out. We were at Oklahoma Alabama and he came out in the fourth quarter. Holy ship kind of went. 00:36:51 Speaker 2: Off to you see is a door dash commercial? 00:36:54 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, all that ship was hilarious. 00:36:56 Speaker 2: Yeah, bro, I don't think they had it on TV, like on the internet and on social an ad. 00:37:01 Speaker 3: Fifty he was oh he killed it. 00:37:04 Speaker 4: Job, he cooked it. 00:37:06 Speaker 2: You know who he cook it? Yeah? 00:37:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, it was that. 00:37:11 Speaker 2: You know, He's like, oh they got some combs And then who else it was? It was diddybod No, I don't think it was jay Z. And then he's like four years fifty months, who's count who count this star? 00:37:28 Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, we were when we're watching the game. Obviously, my kids are in it, but not really in it like they want like they're excited about like hosting the super Bowl party when it was really just my family and plus the neighborhood girl. But they only want to have snacks. So like between one break and my hey, let's watch the commercials and you guys tell me what they're trying to sell us. The first commercial to pop up once I said that was that fucking lace commercial. Oh buddy, yeah, hey, let's all let's all watch this one. Any hands of the keys. I'm watching the commercial, I'm tearing up till and I are like sitting there like crying. I'm like, so what are they try to sell? 00:38:01 Speaker 2: What he said? I think I'm retiring to think this is it? She's like one last one. 00:38:04 Speaker 4: Yeah, being a kid, I'm with you guys in like the Chevy ad. Like that Chevy ad from a couple months ago. I think was was done really well. But there's a part of me when I see Laises putting it on and I'm. 00:38:18 Speaker 2: Like, come, Toyota did another one that was like but. 00:38:21 Speaker 4: Like I saw it and it was, well, it's funny because like my son and I we planted some uh some bulbs. What about what are those flowers that come out early bulbs? 00:38:31 Speaker 1: Well, the bulbs are no, they're like they're they're like not white. I don't know, three hundred bulbs getting planted. 00:38:38 Speaker 4: Yeah, we planted three thousand, my son and I. And then I saw the commercial. 00:38:43 Speaker 2: He just dunked the. 00:38:46 Speaker 4: Just But that commercial reminded me of my son because I thought of, you know, the father and daughter. You know, Clay, we gotta go check on her. 00:38:56 Speaker 2: Two. 00:38:56 Speaker 4: I'm blanking on the flowers right now. 00:38:58 Speaker 1: But you did three thousands? 00:38:59 Speaker 4: What's the first what are the first ones? 00:39:01 Speaker 2: Snow drops? 00:39:03 Speaker 4: Like man, not the actual name like that. 00:39:09 Speaker 2: Either way, when you're saying you that wasn't I always liked that family marketing because I feel like it just it ties your heart. You're gonna remember the Lay's commercials you. 00:39:19 Speaker 4: To buy junk, is what I'm saying. Yeah, that's all they're trying to do, right, Yeah, that's like I'm with you and they're gonna put Marlborough on, and you've been like, damn, what a. 00:39:30 Speaker 2: Great Right, we're kind of the middleman because we might see it and be like, oh, we ain't messing with Lays. But if we talk about the Lays commercial and everybody yet like everybody. 00:39:46 Speaker 4: Great commercials. Meanwhile they nola oil? 00:39:49 Speaker 2: Uh oh back, why is it? Beer? 00:39:56 Speaker 1: Full said? 00:39:57 Speaker 4: Beer companies always have the best commercial? What is it about them? 00:40:01 Speaker 1: Because they go they you know why fastballs they fastballs fastball. But even people want to go and do some crazy ship like this right here, this commercial every every Americans like, but even a. 00:40:14 Speaker 4: Farmer at the end, like just the dust is in my because he's supposed to be a hard ass when he sees an eagle and like. 00:40:20 Speaker 2: They just together together. Yeah, just always find it being a baby close. 00:40:27 Speaker 3: No, that was crazy. 00:40:29 Speaker 4: Running over there, I'd probably say that was I enjoyed that commercial. 00:40:34 Speaker 2: That was a good That was number one. Yeah. 00:40:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, as you sat back, you're all right that mixed up for the halftime show. 00:40:42 Speaker 3: For me, I'm in the country. That's all my neighbors right there. 00:40:45 Speaker 1: So country halftime shows easy top fifty cent for anybody's wondering. 00:40:52 Speaker 4: Are they getting back together, not Angels and Airwaves or they've been together. Okay, yeah, that's right. 00:40:56 Speaker 1: They did a whole tour last year. 00:40:58 Speaker 2: Man. 00:40:58 Speaker 1: Yeah, the whole tour came whole album. 00:41:00 Speaker 2: Florida Georgia Line comes back and gets in on the halftime show. You're talking about. 00:41:04 Speaker 1: Florida Georgia line comes back. They need to call us with the boys and say thank you as what they need to do. 00:41:12 Speaker 4: Yeah, are they from the Bay. 00:41:13 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I was there. 00:41:17 Speaker 1: When they were like going off about Trump the President. 00:41:24 Speaker 2: I was there, President, you were at the Fando party. They did it up. 00:41:29 Speaker 3: It was I'm shocked, Johnny and go we did. 00:41:32 Speaker 2: We did the whole blue carpet thing at the beginning, but I had to take a red eye back and we had to hit another one and show face at so we had to kind of like structure it out to where we couldn't like stay the whole time. Yeah, we went. 00:41:42 Speaker 1: We went back and they started. They were dude. They sounded so good. 00:41:46 Speaker 2: Hey, oh so you went you went back and listened. 00:41:49 Speaker 1: Yo, Yeah, they were awesome. They were awesome. 00:41:52 Speaker 2: We walk up. 00:41:52 Speaker 1: They have this little like a vip tent thing or whatever, this little area it's like the stage on the side and we walk up in some kind of suits like man Taylor the one right. I was like, yeah, He's like, I have somebody that wants to meet you. We walk over Gavin Newsome. Wow, He's like, I thought you did well on Sean Ryan podcast, that you did well there. But it's not like there's like good like the Mexican food is just good in general the ingredients. You go out west, that's great Mexican. 00:44:35 Speaker 3: Oh it's on a whole nother level, whole another level. 00:44:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, the West has better Mexican food. 00:44:39 Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's just but you can find some good Mexican food in Nashville for Nashville. Brother. 00:45:43 Speaker 4: What do you guys think of San Francisco? 00:45:44 Speaker 3: Other than the it was it was no homeless people. 00:45:48 Speaker 2: Really. 00:45:48 Speaker 4: They cleaned that ship up. They cleaned them up, so weird. 00:45:51 Speaker 1: You brought the pockets, Yeah, little pockets, but like anywhere we would go. But hey, the city's actually really nice and clean. 00:45:57 Speaker 2: And everybody that I loved. 00:45:58 Speaker 1: It would be like justa in a week, everybody coming. 00:46:02 Speaker 2: Out saying like, oh he just your boy Gavin cleaned it up. 00:46:11 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:46:12 Speaker 2: I enjoyed. I enjoyed the week out there. 00:46:15 Speaker 3: Yeah, well you probably went there fosom and stuff though, like that, because Jack took y'all to the hood to the deli. But so y'all, yeah, you tell you went to FoxM near that area over there is where all the smokers and stuff is at. Yeah. 00:46:28 Speaker 2: They they bodies, They can't pick their bodies up. It's just bent over It's crazy. 00:46:33 Speaker 1: Those little kid toys when you pressed the bottom and will walk down, their legs will stay. Yeah, it was some of these people out here dangling. You have the craziest balance I've ever seen in my life. Insane and they were a slump tom yeah. 00:46:49 Speaker 2: Right there. 00:46:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, but a couple of cats that I saw were like touching the ground. 00:46:54 Speaker 3: Even more so. 00:46:55 Speaker 2: When they talk about like cleaning it up, like what happens, they just kind of like forciately like go. 00:46:59 Speaker 3: So they bust them out, They bust them out, but then they put they get the homos, Hey come here and we have something for you, and they put them on the bush. 00:47:07 Speaker 1: They literally drive them out of. 00:47:08 Speaker 2: Town right Also to what they get them to a different area. Yeah, well, as people. 00:47:17 Speaker 1: Were like, hey, well if you can do this, like why aren't we doing this all the time, They're gonna come right back. 00:47:22 Speaker 2: They'll come right back. 00:47:23 Speaker 3: Also, what you'all don't know is they fence them in another area just let them stay over there. 00:47:28 Speaker 4: Like youreat zombies or. 00:47:33 Speaker 1: They legit did that like see that a couple of times. 00:47:37 Speaker 3: So this is actually what shoes like that. 00:47:41 Speaker 2: They're they're the spots that we were at. It'll look like that. 00:47:46 Speaker 3: Most of the time, they'll just be sitting there panhandling, tweaked out because they You man, bro, do you think homeless people are not gonna be out during the Super Bowl trying to panhandle? This is the most people they gonna see. They had those boys. I don't know where they put them at, but people were saying they got them fenced up somewhere. 00:48:04 Speaker 1: You talking about fence up is crazy, I'm telling you, bro. 00:48:08 Speaker 3: In l A, they fence him up and you go to Skip Row. It's a fence that blocked that whole freeway. 00:48:13 Speaker 2: Area and they all living there. You're going there. It's danger zone, that. 00:48:16 Speaker 1: Is you know that is nuts. Hey, we went to Alcatraz though I know. 00:48:24 Speaker 2: He went with the Pro Bowlers. 00:48:26 Speaker 1: No, we went with the bust with the. 00:48:28 Speaker 3: Boys crew, I know, but I know the. 00:48:33 Speaker 4: You guys play though, Like all that did was remind me of Rebirth Eye, and I was like, man, it's so. 00:48:38 Speaker 1: Brought that up. 00:48:38 Speaker 2: A couple of times Clumb brought it up and people were kind of questioning it, and he was like, I'm telling you this is that. 00:48:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, that yard. 00:48:47 Speaker 4: Is loosely, loosely based. 00:48:52 Speaker 1: It's bad as it was awesome, But then you start at the end of the thing the tour, they started talking about how like the the prisons now are way more like intense and dangerous. I want my Alcatraz. I want to feel like Alcatraz like the most all time dangerous prison kind of sound like a bunch of boys hanging out was Yeah, it kind of seemed like, oh, you just trying to get into the world. Was going on, like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:49:20 Speaker 3: I mean, but the mafia ran it, so it probably was as smooth as it could be because you probably couldn't. 00:49:24 Speaker 1: You see, the mafia ran Alcatraz most of the the most of the mafia was in the prisoners. Okay, yeah, yeah, that makes more sense. 00:49:31 Speaker 3: But I think they're saying it is dangerous because you couldn't escape. You. I mean, one person did escape. They don't know if he ever made it because three three guys and how many years? 00:49:39 Speaker 1: What's that? Im? 00:49:40 Speaker 4: Sorry, well, I'm sure they probably told you if you took a tour, like how many people escaped and how many how people escaped Alcatraz? 00:49:46 Speaker 1: There's three there's so there's one famous story of three guys who used spoons to like carve out some of the cement blocks and they went like into the walls up and over and then got on the raft. These three guys. The raft was found, but these three guys were never found on shore. Are just floating in the world. I don't know about that. They didn't go in the detail about that, but they say that these guys they probably drowned sharks the whole thing because you know, growing up, spoons ain't no way. Yeah, because then Clump started bringing up all the conspiracy theories they were actually helped out of there. It's it's yeah, I think. 00:50:23 Speaker 3: They were helped out of there. Now they like, you can't scratch most yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:50:30 Speaker 1: But the way they had them all kind of set up with the masks and everything, like in the cell, the way it was, it's it's pretty badass. Play a little baseball. 00:50:37 Speaker 3: So they had total fourteen. 00:50:40 Speaker 1: There was a moment though, Clay, we we like walked down these stairs that are super steep and we look out, like, look at this view. Why would you want to leave? Yeah, they had gardens, dudes hanging out just playing cards. 00:50:51 Speaker 3: Why they say they shut it down. 00:50:53 Speaker 1: They yeah, deteriorating. But there was something else. Someone brought up something about like something was going on the way they were tree, like they left a guy in solitary confinement for too long or crazy? 00:51:05 Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, pitch big. 00:51:11 Speaker 1: It was interesting. It was Yeah, it's badass. I have you've seen The Rock with Sean Connery. 00:51:16 Speaker 4: Yeah, what a movie? 00:51:18 Speaker 1: You think about those little green balls? 00:51:21 Speaker 2: Dude? 00:51:21 Speaker 1: That that's how I want to view my Alcatraz, not the way thirty four year old Taylor did, Like, oh, this is just a hangout place. 00:51:28 Speaker 3: And how many people did a hold at the time, how many inmates could. 00:51:32 Speaker 1: I was kind of small, That's what I'm saying. 00:51:34 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because it was like the notorious of notorious, right, yeah, killers. 00:51:40 Speaker 1: I mean but that that that wasn't tax fraug al Capone. It was was like a top mafia guy in Chicago and they couldn't peg him for anything, but they got him for tax fraud and that's why they sent him to Alcatraz. 00:51:54 Speaker 3: He was a killer. 00:51:55 Speaker 1: Alcatraz was like what do they call it, maximum security plus or like whatever. It was like this was like the top of the top, the worst of the worst. Now there's like thirty we have like thirty prisons like that now, Yeah, all over the place because you finished the tour to have this big screen that like shows through different areas that have like maximum security place. Yeah, and it talks about how like these ones are way more intense than Alcatraz ever was. And that's where I was like, fuck, man, I want my all my Alcatraz to be scary. 00:52:20 Speaker 3: Think about it. 00:52:21 Speaker 2: I mean prisons. 00:52:22 Speaker 3: Now, these cats can make knives out of a plastic fork. 00:52:25 Speaker 1: Those little those little balls. Man, how scared were you when you're watching that the first time? 00:52:29 Speaker 3: You don't remember the movie, but you didn't watch that, Watch it, watch those balls. 00:52:37 Speaker 1: That's a great film. That's a great film. 00:52:40 Speaker 3: Cage too, Yeah, yeah, photo faced Sean Connery. 00:52:45 Speaker 1: But yeah, Alcatraz reripped? What else did we do? 00:52:48 Speaker 2: All right? Park goes out to the New England Patriots. Drake made but mostly more than anybody. Mike Rabel sat down with the Boys at six am on Tuesday, talked about cut off half lever of six just maybe the best SoundBite we've ever had a busting with the boys in rare prime. 00:55:29 Speaker 2: Mike Rabel form, like his personality got. 00:55:32 Speaker 4: You got him to loosen up a bit, not that he's overly tight, but he's a coach now, you know, you can't can't act the same. 00:55:38 Speaker 3: It was. 00:55:39 Speaker 4: It was a good interview with damn know he does. 00:55:41 Speaker 2: Though, but even also even followed up talking about being proud of us and like sending us a clip like this the most authentic. 00:55:47 Speaker 1: The most authentic version of us that it just feels like. 00:55:51 Speaker 2: It's fully just developed over the last decade of knowing the last several years. 00:55:55 Speaker 1: And then like like having like a moment of reflection in this hotel room. Yeah, thinking about the friendship, she said, and took the time to. 00:56:01 Speaker 4: Text us, Yeah, well, I obviously that's awesome for you guys, But I think that also lends to the fact of what, fact of why he's such a great coach to Yeah, I don't really know him all that well, we've played around the same time. But just here in the relationship that he has with you guys and the way he talks to the media, like it just he feels like he's just present, he's there, like he's a great leader of man and honestly, like you know, looking in hindsight, because we talked about Seattle's roster like New England's, I think they kind of overachieved this. Oh whoa absolutely and like you know, you look at Drake May only being in year two. 00:56:38 Speaker 2: Maybe what they say on the broadcast like thirty first year players, but it just felt like thirty first year of thirty something. 00:56:48 Speaker 1: Because yeah, they're also top five in cap space as well. 00:56:51 Speaker 4: Right, they're gonna need some I mean you talk about Campbell like, are we are we are the Patriots going to keep him out there left tackle? Do you move him in? 00:56:58 Speaker 1: Do you have some help? 00:56:59 Speaker 4: You might need another wide receiver defensively, I mean, you know, like I just think there's a lot of holes there. Yeah, I think they're probably still the front runner and the AFC, you really think the East, Yeah. 00:57:16 Speaker 1: But you got the Bills man. But Joe Brady head coach. 00:57:19 Speaker 2: Now they're going seventeen and four super Bowl runner up first year after two years of three and fourteen. Oh yeah, three or four and thirteen, four and four, whatever the whatever it is, whatever it is, they won four games the previews. 00:57:33 Speaker 1: So you're right, like, Will Cambell, do you keep him in the left to get a tackle in there? But also, dude, think about your rookie season and hitting the rookie wall in like mid to late November. I agree, gonna keep playing over and you played look like three top five defenses the number six like as much criticism as he's done, and he deserves some of the criticism. The kid, I mean, he played what twenty games. He's going to be a stud He's gonna be a stud man. 00:57:56 Speaker 2: Yeah. And when I felt worse the worst for him is that false art when he was kind of rocking, yeah, and then the incomes and still bulls and pushes him on his back of the. 00:58:05 Speaker 1: We've all been there. 00:58:06 Speaker 2: Man. 00:58:07 Speaker 1: It's a terrible feeling, a terrible feeling. But yeah, pouring out for the new. 00:58:12 Speaker 2: Optimism he got ain't easy to go back though, you know, like you. 00:58:17 Speaker 4: Said, you can get, you can win, like uh Dan Campbell when they lost the NMC championship game a few years ago and our only chance. 00:58:25 Speaker 1: Yeah, they've been back since. I'll tell you what. You a sleeper in the a f C. You brought him up earlier in this podcast. Tennessee Titans sleepers. 00:58:35 Speaker 4: Just get to like six seven wins. I I really like their coaching staff. I love great coach they bring in. Outside of solid there was another obviously able Yeah, sorry. 00:58:48 Speaker 2: Gus Bradley's their d C. Gus Bradley. 00:58:51 Speaker 4: They made all the right moves this off season. Find out if Cam Wore is that guy. 00:58:56 Speaker 1: Kim that guy that guy around. 00:58:58 Speaker 2: Can we get somebody to help him. 00:59:00 Speaker 1: The offensive line to play better because you have the talent on their picks Like this year with the fourth overall. 00:59:05 Speaker 4: Pick trade back for two ones, were thinking here, yeah, put your GM cap on. 00:59:10 Speaker 1: I think it just depends on number one. 00:59:12 Speaker 4: Yeah, number will we look like probably bring Kenneth Walker. 00:59:18 Speaker 3: One fourth pick and. 00:59:21 Speaker 4: Bring Derrick Henry. 00:59:24 Speaker 3: Smith. 00:59:25 Speaker 2: Yeah wait, we got five to five round picks. 00:59:30 Speaker 4: Rams got to first round picks with that trade to Atlanta was. 00:59:34 Speaker 1: Its Rams have two first rounds. They trade that they'll get a nice player to the. 00:59:43 Speaker 4: Good check out check out the Rams real quick. 00:59:45 Speaker 3: I want to see eight players should help. We should be able to get some some good out of eight. 00:59:51 Speaker 4: Are they going to contribute? Though? 00:59:53 Speaker 3: We'll see how this We'll see how does GM do it do this year? On picking guys who can actually play and chiefs? 01:00:01 Speaker 2: How the Packers gonna do? 01:00:02 Speaker 5: Bro? 01:00:03 Speaker 2: Did you see Michael Parsons and Miles Garrett sitting down doing like a Miles Garrett bottying Michael Parsons Bro, Miles Garrett was cooking? 01:00:11 Speaker 4: Yeah, well, first off with I'll answer your question, but what would would they cook them? 01:00:16 Speaker 2: And they were, I mean, they're obviously having like a answer and forth, and Miles Garrett was just on his a game with comebacks to the defensive player of the years? How long it took you? Like it's supposed to be us in the Super Bowl this year? And Miles Garrett, man, we wasn't healthy. You were fully healthy when we beat you. He was just giving it. 01:00:35 Speaker 1: Back to Bro killing him. I mean, listen, been like hey y'all and he's like, y'all, like I'm more than one. 01:00:43 Speaker 2: That's what he was saying. 01:00:44 Speaker 1: He didn't say one of one. But like that the way the way the clips were going, it seemed like Mica up was trying to press Miles be like, I'm the best defensive end. 01:00:52 Speaker 2: He said, your light is dimming. He's just because your light is getting and whatsoever. 01:00:57 Speaker 1: Yeah, that, by the way, it is a bar. 01:00:59 Speaker 4: I think I think Miles Garrett is a better pass rusher. I think Micah Parson is a better athlete and probably a like a more impactful Do you think so, yes, because you think more impactful. That's that's one of the craziest things you've said as a as a pass rusher, Like you just you're you're to one side of the field. You look at Miles Garrett. He got twenty three sacks. Incredible, Like you know, it's. 01:01:22 Speaker 1: Gonna be a shitty team who is always losing. 01:01:24 Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, I'm not diminishing what he did. 01:01:26 Speaker 1: It's okay, I'm not. 01:01:28 Speaker 4: But what I'm saying is like he's on one side, like Mike is moving all around. You know, as far as production, I want twenty three sacks over eleven or whatever Micah finished with might have had like fourteen fifteen, But like the fact you can move and move around make him a spinner. I think it helps everybody else around there, not just the DBS from a sack pressure standpoint at all. 01:01:47 Speaker 3: Don't he always go against the left tackle Miles Garrett. 01:01:51 Speaker 1: No, he'll move around, he'll go and he'll go on that rover set where he he'll go on the right time. 01:01:57 Speaker 2: I'm just saying, like, again, twenty three sacks on the Browns where like every team is running the ball in the second. 01:02:03 Speaker 4: I agree, I'm not dismissing that. By the third time Defensive Player of the Year, he's like. 01:02:08 Speaker 2: Brother brought he brought those trophies in and. 01:02:11 Speaker 4: He'll break the all time Well, shoot, what's he a What's what are his sacks at right now? Hes get he's gotta get to one ninety nine to be the number at least tie not Reggie White, Uh, nope. 01:02:25 Speaker 1: Clay Matthews. 01:02:26 Speaker 4: No, I had to play for another eleven years. He's got one hundred. He needs to get to one ninety nine and he's in what years is eight or something? That's insane. That's insane. 01:02:38 Speaker 1: And dude, I mean I get what you're saying, Like I'm not taking anything away from Michael Parsons and how incredible he is because he's a great player. But if you're looking at people to you don't want to go against that's the number one first one. I do not want to go against the. 01:02:51 Speaker 4: One Bruce Smith one ninety nine? Is it two hundred and somebody has one ninety nine? Right, okay? And then it drops off to I think Evan Green and Julius Peppers are tied at like one sixty one, might not get closed like the drop off like top five. Then you just you hope to crack a hundred and if you get to one hundred. 01:03:13 Speaker 3: You're like, that made you get her in twenty five already? 01:03:17 Speaker 4: No, I uh wow, regular season a ninety one and a half postseason, I got eleven, So. 01:03:24 Speaker 2: You got a hundred sacks? 01:03:27 Speaker 4: Yes, I did. 01:03:28 Speaker 2: I like the counter like in your career you got you cliped. 01:03:33 Speaker 4: But like a lot of times, like for instance, if they're gonna say Bruce Smith or Julius Peppers have X amount of sacks, they will not count postseason at all. 01:03:43 Speaker 2: But how do we count? 01:03:44 Speaker 4: But now with the new era, you'll see like including the playoffs, they'll they'll use it just to say. 01:03:50 Speaker 2: They used to but now we add two more games though. 01:03:53 Speaker 4: Playoff, So how it doesn't matter. Back in the day, they used to have fifteen games before they went to sixteen. So like Wolf for ever be beaten, you know today's generation will be beating. 01:04:03 Speaker 1: Uh playoffs in the record seventeen because he was there for what three games? 01:04:08 Speaker 4: It's a game, there's no bigger But why is why is the MVP voted on at the end of the regular season.
