Speaker 1: Welcome back to Golden Hour.

00:00:09
Speaker 2: I'm Kathy and I'm Joan filling in this week for Susan again. And Kathy, we are so happy to have you back. We just did a great interview last week with Hakim and his new fiance Monica, not really fiance yet, but.

00:00:27
Speaker 1: I mean, oh yes, the hard launched them right. He asked her to marry her. He asked her to marry him on our podcast, so they are officially engaged. And I don't know about you, Joan, but you know, Hakeem has been on our podcast a few times. I've seen him at different Batchelor events. I know you have, ye Does it just make your heart warm that he and Monica have gotten back together, They're having this baby. They just seem so happy together.

00:00:55
Speaker 2: They really do. You know. I think that I kind of fell in love with Hakeem when he was just so openly terrified of spiders. This season, he was hilarious. He just has such a great sense of humor. But we see this whole other side of him because we haven't seen him fall in love, and now we see him as a boyfriend, as a fiance, as a father to be, and there's this whole Hakm that we are just getting to know right now. And I love this Hakim.

00:01:20
Speaker 1: I loved him before.

00:01:21
Speaker 2: I really love this one.

00:01:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, And I will tell you I used to tease him because he and I are both very gregarious, and I've never never met a stranger and I tried. I've said to him before, there's a whole other side to Hakeem. All the bravado, all the jokes, all the laughing, the fast talking, there is a kind warm side tune. You can't fool me. And I think we saw it in spades on the podcast, so we.

00:01:44
Speaker 2: We really did.

00:01:44
Speaker 1: But I love it.

00:01:45
Speaker 2: I think Monica brings it out him to you know, brings it out in him.

00:01:49
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:01:50
Speaker 2: He he seemed like he seems like he like he's such a caregiver and she on like kind of the giver.

00:01:58
Speaker 1: That's a dirty word to me right now.

00:02:00
Speaker 2: John, I know you're right, because we're going to get into that big time. But I just feel like Monica and he have such a natural rapport with each other, Like it's not like they're not working at it at all. They were like, we're kind of meant to be.

00:02:12
Speaker 1: I feel like, yeah, wells a story. She is lovely I think they're gonna be great parents. And their story is so sweet.

00:02:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, I love and so true for so many people. I'm glad that they have been so open about sharing it. That takes a lot of maturity and a lot of kind of putting their their life out there in the open, and I love that they are brave enough to do that. The two of them are brave too.

00:02:34
Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean they're not worried. They weren't. They were very open about how racism has affected their relationship, just how they want a parent, the fact that they're having a child, just all of it. They're very open. And I just think she's a great addition to that abslorination.

00:02:50
Speaker 2: She really is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and soon soon their little baby girl, Marley Murray Marley Marie. Okay, but I think that we need to get to talk about you, and I know you hate talking about yourself, but you're you're going to have to tell us about this journey that you were just on.

00:03:05
Speaker 1: You and I.

00:03:05
Speaker 2: Spoke, we spoke a couple of times last week. You told me how sick you were. I had no idea, which is very unlike us because we talk a lot. And I feel like it was a really scary situation. I know you said it was, and I felt scared for you. Do you feel comfortable sharing some of the details, like what happened?

00:03:23
Speaker 1: I do.

00:03:25
Speaker 2: So.

00:03:25
Speaker 1: I'm one of these strange people that when someone else is sick, I am right there. What can I bring you? How can I take care of you? But when it's me, I'm not so good at that. I like to just bury myself into a hole. So basically, what happened. I hate saying basically, but here's what happened. I woke up and felt really sick. And I never run a fever, and I was running a fever and felt really ill. And it's the day one on I became more and more ill entailed. But I didn't realize how will until I called my daughter and said, I need to go to the hospital. And what time was that? I'm not sure I think I was. It was nighttime. I just kept remember was eight or ten o'clock at night because by then my fever was so high A time sort of just and I didn't realize. My daughter came over, came over, and I mean this part was funny, except I was too sick. She said to me, Mom, did you get your lips injected. And I couldn't even talk. By that point, I couldn't talk. And when I got to the hospital, they thought I'd had a stroke, which they did not have. But my lips, my whole face was inflamed, my lips. Yeah, so I was admitted. They diagnosed me with having pneumonia.

00:04:39
Speaker 2: So could you hold a one second? So you let yourself Now, this is so you, Kathy, and I hope you learned a lesson from this because you let yourself go from morning five am to it's a dark outside, which means it's at least nine just letting that fever grow and get worse, and get worse and get worse to the point where you were hardly able to advocate for yourself.

00:04:58
Speaker 1: I really was so so so let me just jump ahead. You're absolutely right it but I went down so quickly and I couldn't by the time I couldn't talk, I realized in that minute. And that's what I want people to know. You know, it's no, it's no joke. It is damn right scary. When I got there, you know, my heart rate was dropping. Uh, my temperature was one o two point seven and that was with tile and all I just was I couldn't talk. They and I could hear people talking about me, but I couldn't really respond. And so in that moment I realized I literally not to sound you know, ridiculous. I thought this might be the end of the road for me. That's but I couldn't talk. I just and so I.

00:05:45
Speaker 2: Think you were just in their hands. You're like, just do it myself at all.

00:05:51
Speaker 1: Well, so I couldn't. But here's the thing. When my when my parents were sick, or my children were sick. I know you'll you know this comes as a shock jone, but I am very vosypherus. I am like, let's talk to me. What are we going to do? I want a game plan. I don't sit back and say they're the doctors they know, uh uh I want But I in that moment, I was so sick. I couldn't I couldn't advocate, I couldn't talk. And so you know, they had me hooked up to heart. My heart rate kept dropping. They didn't know, they didn't know where the swelling came from. They didn't know why I couldn't talk. Yeah, I know, I know there was.

00:06:24
Speaker 2: A point there that you were not giving great care because you didn't go to the hospital at first. You did not go to the hospital. You went to an urgent care.

00:06:31
Speaker 1: Well. But but I have to say, I thought I had or COVID because I had a fever. I was throwing up and that's what started. And then I became, you know, semi conscious. But I really thought I had flu or covid. The so my daughter, God love her, had I been cognizant when when he said it wasn't covid, I could hear him, but I couldn't respond. Get me out of here and take me straight to a n e R to a hospital, which finally my son, who is you know, an e MT and he my daughter woke him up and his wife and they came to the standalone er, which you know, I can't say enough bad things about it, because this guy took advantage of me and kept writtesting. Finally my son said, I get we're leaving. Now give me the papers. I'm driving. He literally said to me. I heard it. He said, if you drive yourself to the hospital, you could die on the way.

00:07:27
Speaker 2: But this is scary though, this is really We're very glad you're telling the story that this doctor chose to keep you there and continue to run test and tell you were so sick that he thought you could die on the way to.

00:07:38
Speaker 1: The hospital exactly. And and uh, you know, I'm going to write I don't typically write nasty things, but I am going to un use my social media platform because that place should be closed down. Because I when they got me there, they couldn't they hooked me up. I can't even tell you. I had heart monitors everywhere. I had they start. I don't know, because I was basically not unconscious, but I couldn't do anything, and and the fever was so high. So yeah, it was a miserable time at the hospital. The nurses were great. Everyone took great care of me. But I just I think what I learned was things can go south very quickly, very quickly, and I did not. You know, that's the sad thing about living alone. You know, you you and I'll be honest. I hated to bother my kids.

00:08:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, I know we all feel that way. We don't want to be a burden on them. I don't want to be a burn time. I know your daughter has a kid, you.

00:08:35
Speaker 1: Have a child, and she did, she did say, Mom, I wish you'd called me earlier. But I didn't know how sick. You know, you didn't know what you don't know?

00:08:43
Speaker 2: I know, so tell me, so tell me. So you got to the hospital and you had this really high temperature, but you're it sounds like you have very odd symptoms. So when you usually have pneumonia, your shorter breath, you you know, there's other things. You might have a high temperature, but you can normally talk. Did they suspect anything different? I meant a stroke, and they asked me you didn't have.

00:09:05
Speaker 1: No, but they I don't know what they did. I can't tell you, but they somehow ruled out a stroke. And my kids kept saying no. They my kids kept saying, my mom's really fit. She walks five miles a day. She because my heart rate was very low, although when it dropped to forty three, that.

00:09:22
Speaker 2: That's not normal.

00:09:23
Speaker 1: Great's you know, Brady, Brady, whatever it's like in the fifties. My normal heart rate's about sixty sixty two. But so, yeah, I don't know, it's in retrospect. It was one of the scariest things. And I told you this jone on the phone, but I I it was the only you know I'm nothing if not a dedicated worker. Because I was trying to tell my daughter to reach out to the producers to say I couldn't do my podcast last week, which is why you and Jonathan did it and I but I couldn't. You know, their names are hard to pronounce, and so I'm apparently she figured it out because she did even though, but that was my concern, not that I was dying, but that I couldn't do the podcast.

00:10:06
Speaker 2: I have to say when when I got the message asking if I could do if I get sub in for you, or that I was already subbing in for Susan and they told me Jonathan was going to be subbing in for you, I thought that is so unlike Kathy. I was like, she must be really right.

00:10:21
Speaker 1: I didn't want, you know. I didn't want I don't honestly, as gregarious as I am and as talkative, I'm more of a take care of person. I don't, you know, I don't want to make a big to do about me, And so I didn't want people to know because I didn't want people you know, what can I do? What can I do? Because I was to say to you, it is it's no joke. First, I have not been I've been out of the hospital now a few days. And I was there for five days and they were going to send me home. My heart rate kept dropping and you know it wasn't fun.

00:10:55
Speaker 2: Here's the girl out. They're keeping you for five days. They don't keep you in the hospital for five years? Can I actual you Qusha about this though? So you said that the fact that you live alone made this maybe a little more scary when you look back on it. Does Did your age also make this scarier? Because I know that things.

00:11:11
Speaker 1: No, because it should joan, because pneumonia when you're over the age of sixty is serious. You people, Oh that's the other thing people kept saying. Uh. I remember they kept asking my kids did she have the pneumonia vaccine? Which I did have. But this pneumonia was some rare pneumonia you know whatever that wasn't affect the shot would not affect it. I am not an anti vaxxer. I know some people out there are mazel good for you. That's not my thing. But are you breath? Uh? I don't know because I couldn't really. Yeah, I guess it was like an out of body experience. I can't explain it to you. I couldn't answer really answer questions very much. And like I remember my son and his wife, my daughter in law came. I thought they were there, but I wasn't sure. But and I couldn't eat. I couldn't just it was very, very strange. They don't know. They call it idiopathic, which means I don't know, you know, so you know. So I guess I can go. I can go to medical school. I can be a doctor. But now I can I will tell you, Joan, I can read every screen. I know what they mean. I know what the monitors you know. I know, I know, I know when you have to go to the bathroom. I had like four things that had to be disconnected. And I know you'll find this a shock. I said to the nurses, even though I was really sick. Once I could talk, I said, look, you guys have sick patients in here. Just teach me how to unplug all this so I can go to the bathroom and not have to bother you. And they and so they did. They taught me. But what they didn't tell me. One of the heart monitors I had, like I can't tell you. I had monitor like pat what do they call them? Those things that are start to your skill the censors thank you on my left eggs on my chest, so many of them. And the way you unplug it is from this heavy, couple of pound device. You just well, I thought that's what you did. So I unplugged it and went to the bathroom and got back in bed. And then they came in to check and they said, why is there five minutes like I could. They said, you know, you could have been dead, and I said, well, I'm not dead, and no one came running, so you might want to check this. I was unhooked. I didn't know. I had no clue what so I just unplugged the damn thing. But you know, I I am fine. No one need worry. My kids were amazing. I will say to you, I will never mess around if I have a fever the next time, I'm going straight because by the way, I'm on Medicare, and this standalone emergency room does not accept Medicare, so it cost me. And when I tell you, an arm and the leg a vacation for what they did in there, and I couldn't advocate and say stop, get me to a hospital.

00:14:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, this isn't You're not this isn't working here. Let me ask you a question about Okay, you're laying there, you know, you are sick as a dog. You're thinking this could be it? Did that?

00:14:15
Speaker 1: I think it is my will in order?

00:14:17
Speaker 2: Yeah? But did you Were you laying there thinking like, I need to reevaluate some of the priorities in my life. Is there something that you thought when you had this moment that you're bringing like you're taking away from it now.

00:14:31
Speaker 1: I couldn't think that deeply, Joan. Honestly, I just I couldn't. I was just lying there, coming in and out like hearing things, trying. No. I didn't.

00:14:41
Speaker 2: Okay, okay about now like okay, so now you now look back on a little bit.

00:14:45
Speaker 1: I look back and I am grateful that I have family, you know, my I have a son and daughter and both married who live here, and you know, they came running and I so appreciate that. It makes me, if I'm being really honest with you, which I always am, it makes me sad that I don't have someone in my life that could have been there for me. I will say some people that I thought would reach out didn't very you know so, But again it's just that's not the point of this whole thing. The point for me was, uh, you know, I got sick. I don't know why. I just have to went down quickly. It went down really quickly, and I came back relatively quickly, you know, relatively. And now I'm I'm I don't have my energy back. Like I said, I haven't been back to the gym yet. I'm taking it slow because you know, I don't I don't want to go back to the hospital. I don't want to repeat it. No, no, no, no, but yes.

00:15:52
Speaker 2: When I talked to you last week, you had even lost your appetite, and like that happens to a lot of people. Is that better? Are you feeling a lot?

00:15:59
Speaker 1: I got a not great. I mean, you know I I you know me and my humor. It's like, you want to lose a quick nine pounds go to I haven't been this thin, you know. And they that's the other thing, Joan, They come in and weigh you in the hospital. I'm not kidding. At two thirty in the morning, get wake you up, stand you up on a scale. I guess because I was dropping weight so fast. I don't know, but I'm trying to eat, I'm trying to take care of myself. But but I guess I am grateful for family and people who love me. If I'm being honest, I don't like that I don't have someone in my life to you know, to share the sick, the good times and the bad times, right right, right, I have.

00:16:42
Speaker 2: A caregiver or person how to recognize this as you were going down.

00:16:46
Speaker 1: Right who said, oh, no, we're not playing this game.

00:16:49
Speaker 2: You're getting worse.

00:16:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, and you understand in that moment, like I said, when my daughter said, did you get your lips injected? I was like, like, I really sounded drunk.

00:16:58
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:16:58
Speaker 1: But when I looked at she goes, have you not looked in the mirror?

00:17:01
Speaker 2: No?

00:17:01
Speaker 1: Because no, I even't gotten out of dead.

00:17:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're totle dehydrated. I mean, like all those things that you need to be taking care, especially when you have a temperature, you were not doing any of those things.

00:17:10
Speaker 1: And you just I was trying to doring, but you know, you get behind very quickly. And that's honestly, I really thought I was going to go to this standalone r they were going to give me a COVID test. A flu test. They were going to give me whatever that tail flu and put a bag of fluid in me to hydrate me, and then say go home and take tyle and all. That's where I thought.

00:17:32
Speaker 2: It was way worse than what you were thinking.

00:17:33
Speaker 1: But you know what, I am grateful, I'm here. I'm grateful to be back in my podcast. I'm grateful that you are here subbing them for Susan. I'm grateful for all the people that have sent me well wishes. And those of you who are over sixty, please take a lesson from me. If you find yourself ill, it's not it's it's like being an infant and being ill, it goes. It can go bad really quickly, So don't sit there and play around with it, you know, get to an yard. The worst thing that can happen is they say, uh, you know, you're fine, go home. Whatever. The downside is so much worse. And uh, I was stupid. I fully admit it. I was absolutely an idiot, But I didn't know how sick I was, and.

00:18:19
Speaker 2: I don't think I think part of the problem is when you're that sick, you just want to sleep, and so you sleep through you getting worse. So yeah, but I should have.

00:18:27
Speaker 1: You know, I'm a smart girl, Joan. I should have known when I couldn't talk, when I couldn't get up physically, couldn't get out of bed anymore, I should have, you know, I should have just called nine one one. I mean it could have and then hearing that guy say that you could have died on the way if you Yeah, and my son stopped him and said, my son, who I said, who's an EMT? Said let's go get her in the car out, and you know, just we're out of here. And thank you. I'm thankful to my children.

00:18:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, thank thank thank god he's an EMT, because I mean, I think you probably felt pretty safely in the car with him as opposed to somebody that had no medical training. So thank goodness your kids were there. Well, I just want to say that we love you. We are so happy you're back. So if that you're recovering, let's move on to some fun stuff.

00:19:13
Speaker 1: Okay, in case you missed it, Bachelor Nation news. Okay, there's so much going on while I was in the hospital and since then, John, have you watched uh vander put Villa. I have not. I haven't.

00:19:28
Speaker 2: No, I kind of like see snippets of it. I think the concept is so so, so fun and I heard so much about it on Secret Lives and Mormon Wives because there's a whole scandal that occurred, so I know a lot about it. But I did you know some of our Bachelor people are there this time? Finally we have Bachelor was invited to the villa.

00:19:46
Speaker 1: I mean, so what I gotta say. It wasn't just Charity and uh Dotton, Jazz Ariel, Mercedes Sean, a couple other ones, but Maria Silent whoa and I.

00:19:58
Speaker 2: Knew what She always made a really good for you know, good TV. So I think she's going to be I think she's going to be a star Amandfart Villa. I'm dying to watch it. I certainly am going to. I love that Charity and Dott are there. I love a strong couple being there because a lot of vander Pump Villa is a lot of singles, and you know these they they are, you know, they are such a great representation about nation, A couple that has worked, a couple that's strong and but still knows how to have fun. So I love that they are there. They celebrated Dot's birthday.

00:20:29
Speaker 1: It was his thirty third birthday, I think, yeah, And I was like, well, that's celebrate your birthday, right.

00:20:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, And I think Maria maybe had from what I understand, had a moment there. So I'm dying to see a Maria moment because I haven't seen one in a while.

00:20:43
Speaker 1: And I just love people. Don't you love it that there?

00:20:47
Speaker 2: I love it?

00:20:48
Speaker 1: And it should be when Golden When do Goldens get to go to vander pump Villa.

00:20:52
Speaker 2: I really feel like we know how to like attend a dinner party and be entertaining. I remember years ago someone said to me when somebody have I chewed to a party, or especially to a dinner party where it's a smaller group, your job is to be like be worthy of being there, be entertaining, do something fun, you know, be part of the conversation. Make sure that you entertain. So I just want to like raise my hand and say, Lisa Banda Pump, you and I met. I've met her one time, she sat next to me at an event, like we go way back, girl, and you should be inviting some Goldens to Vanderfu.

00:21:23
Speaker 1: And Lisa, I've never met you, but there's no time like the present. And I know how to use a fish fork. I know what silverware is, which knife goes out? Yeah, my grandmother truly it was always in case you ever go to the White House for lunch, Darling, my dear, you must know, and so literally she taught us all you know the forks, which one was which? So I can think I will not I will.

00:21:46
Speaker 2: Make silverware, I mean too, all make bacheloris and proud I am. No. I did not grow up in a sophisticated home. But I do know which silver I is. So I am ready and I love good wine girls, so I'm ready to come.

00:21:58
Speaker 1: Oh, by the way, can I guess say one more thing about my hospital? Say you just reminded me?

00:22:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah you did.

00:22:04
Speaker 1: I have not had a drink now in I think it's twelve days. And you know what pisses me off when they put you on these iby antibiotics, antibiotics and god knows what else time I've been on. Yeah, because I'm still on a bunch of pills. I have no taste for alcohol. Zero, that's zero, very sad.

00:22:23
Speaker 2: And I think we're gonna go know what we're gonna do.

00:22:26
Speaker 1: With So if I go to vander pump Villa. By then I'll be I promise I'll be drinking again. You know what.

00:22:30
Speaker 2: I'll come in and we'll get you started. Well, take a slow. We'll take a slow because you know, I'm a totally whimpy drinker and I can only drink like a glass of wine.

00:22:36
Speaker 1: We'll still have fun, all right. What else is in the news? What else you got?

00:22:39
Speaker 2: Bachelorette Brandon reveals he's really been talking to Jesse Draper from Secret Lizer Woman Wives about that.

00:22:46
Speaker 1: Well, he's if I've read it, all right, if I read he's not talking to her. He's got a good friend who wanted to to Jess.

00:22:57
Speaker 2: The good friend is him?

00:22:59
Speaker 1: You think it is?

00:23:00
Speaker 2: Yes, because that's like a whole code, like I have a friend I'm old. Oh, Kathy, I thought you knew that one. No, it's him. He's just saying like, I have a friend who wants to meet you, and I have a friend do whatever. So that is hilarious, Kathy. I can't believe that.

00:23:14
Speaker 1: That's why I love giving everyone a good laugh. I mean, I will say, I thought it for one second. Is he talking about himself? I thought, no, he's hooking because see, that's what I would do. I'm being honest, Joan. If I knew a got well you're taken. But you know I would hook somebody up if I Hey, Nancy, Hey, Susan, Hey Leslie, I got this guy. Let me get and let you start texting. That's how naive I am.

00:23:38
Speaker 2: I would be like you would be trying to do that? Well I would, Now, can't it all for himself?

00:23:43
Speaker 1: Okay, Well, here's what I'm gonna say to old Brandon. I think that uh, it's just two things I want to say. Number one, Brandon, if it is you, the fact that you said your friend that is yourself, isn't a blonde brunette or redhead? Pick one guy? Pick one like number one. And number two, she's just coming off the divorce, is she not? She will?

Speaker 2: I'm not even sure she's divorced. I mean she separated.

00:24:26
Speaker 2: What I think. Jesse is adorable. Brandon is going to shoot his shot and do it anyway he can figure out.

00:24:41
Speaker 1: How is it too early to shoot his shot?

00:24:45
Speaker 2: Hmmm, yeah, maybe. But you know, we've only seen this kind of play out on TV. This could have happened, you know, months and months and months of a.

00:24:53
Speaker 1: Year, months ago like there.

00:24:58
Speaker 2: So I watched the whole thing and they're Mayor has been rocky for a long time, actually since she went on vandervunt Villa.

00:25:03
Speaker 1: I know that, I know it was rocky, but I mean, I mean, I've never been divorced either of you, but it just doesn't seem like the I know, I'm going to take so much heat for this and probably never get to go to vander pump Villa for saying this, but you know me, I gotta be honest. I'm sorry. If you just want to hop in bed and have some great sex, go for it, Brandon friend. But if you're looking for a relationship blonde brunetta redhead, me give it a beat, you know, take a beat and just see what happens. Let her be single for a while.

00:25:35
Speaker 2: I bet she has a lot of people that are trying to get to be with her. She's beautiful. She actually was really vulnerable on Secret Lives of Mormon wife. She told her truth. She talked about, you know, kissing the guy at the vandervunt villa. I mean, she was super honest. I think that she endeared herself to a lot of people, and she's and she was very accountable. I think she's a pretty cool girl. I've met her. I met her at you just.

00:26:02
Speaker 1: Hop with everybody. I'm just a lowly podcaster here. You know, Jones out there hanging with all the.

00:26:07
Speaker 2: Big farmer wants a wife interviewer.

00:26:11
Speaker 1: I don't want.

00:26:14
Speaker 2: I know we should talk about that too.

00:26:15
Speaker 1: All right, Well, now that I've embarrassed myself, we're going to see what happens with Brandon and Jesse. But I'm I'm going with take a beat. Unless you just want a quick roll in the hay m.

00:26:27
Speaker 2: I say, shoot your shot, Brandon, She's a catch, Okay.

00:26:30
Speaker 1: All right, all right? How about now this one? I have to say. I love Andrew Spencer and Alex so much. I love their relationship. I watched it bloom on Jardise last summer. I talked with them on the phone. I love them, love them, love them. So the fact that he is dming Justin Bieber, and that he and his wife, Haley think that Andrew's the best thing since sliced bread. I mean, by association, I gotta tell by association, I know Justin and Hailey because I feel the same way. I am.

00:27:07
Speaker 2: My mind is blown that Justin Bieber and Haley watched The Bachelor. That The Bacher just went from the greatest show on Earth to the greatest show in the universe, because now we know Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber watched the show that we were on. I am like, I was speechless when I read this.

00:27:26
Speaker 1: I could not Yeah, I was like.

00:27:29
Speaker 2: Why don't you love that Justin Bieber took the time to DM like a person that is.

00:27:36
Speaker 1: Just Joan Joan. There's called voice texting. Like, let's not say that the guy sat down for an hour and composed a love letter. Okay, they did it at all.

00:27:43
Speaker 2: I mean that even thought to like, Hey, I'm listening this guy a message. I'm Justin Bieber, and I'm going to send a message like like, I'm like the guy that lives down the street that hey.

00:27:50
Speaker 1: I got a message from Brian Austin Green. You know you're not the only one who hob knobs with the special people. You Yeah, Okay, do have.

00:27:59
Speaker 2: To ask you this? So, yeah, do you think the Bieber's watched our show?

00:28:04
Speaker 1: I think they watched my show.

00:28:06
Speaker 2: Why would you say that.

00:28:07
Speaker 1: I'm just because I'm on drugs. I'm I'm I know. I think I think they probably. I don't know if they watched who show. I mean, I don't know. I think people were very interested in the Golden Bachelor. I do so, I think, uh, the chances honestly are good that they've watched, if not all of our seasons portions of the three shows. That's what I think.

00:28:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean they certainly probably watched the younger shows because they kind of relate to them better more than our So I'm happy that that they I just love it that they watched Andrew Spencer because he just like had my heart. I'll always remember that last time at on Paradise when he was surprised that Alex walked in. He was like, I thought you were going to take the money. Yeah, I like he had my heart then. I don't know if Justin Bieber watched that. I don't know if you watched Bachelorette or Bachelor or Justin if.

00:29:06
Speaker 1: You didn't go back and watch it, but before we leave this whole thing, you know, because they were at Coachella. I you know, this is like totally going out script. But Joan, you who are a fashion maven, I not so much, you are, see I said the nice things. But here's my question. I was watching all the Bachelor Nation posts about all the crowds, you know, our friends and love loved ones at bachslor Nation at Coachella, and I'm like, is this a Is this New York? Is this like Indio, California fashion Week or a music concert? Because I think it's all about what they had on. Like those girls, I love their outfits. I almost said costumes. I love what they had on, But like, is it a is it a thing? I'm asking? I don't know the answer. Is it a thing where who can outdo whom on the fashion plate? Thing? For for these because stage coach, I think, is this weekend or next weekend? Like? Is that what this is about? Or is it about hearing music? Because the only music I so being a carpenter, Justin Bieber, A couple of the big names, like what's it about? Tell me?

00:30:11
Speaker 2: So I think all of the above, you know, I think it started out as a concert, and it became the place to go and be seen. I think that everybody is sending like vatro Nation has people going secret lives, you know, all of the shows, all the reality shows, all the everybody is sending their people there, and it's where you go to be seen. So you are going with your best outfits. And I think people you know, shop for months deciding what the rain. I remember I watched Daisy and she revealed all of what the outfits that she was bringing to Coachella, and each one was better than next, and I was like, oh my gosh, and I was having a hard time picturing them. And then I saw pictures with she and her fiance and I was like, Okay, that outfit so worked. You were so right about that outfit. Like She's like, I'm gonna wear these with boots. I think. I'm like, oh really, so you and I do not. This is not our world. If they asked does it would be we would be dying and we wouldn't know to wear and yeah.

00:31:04
Speaker 1: Well it is. It is absolutely Joan the influencer Olympics. That is not it is. But I'll tell you what that is. One Olympics. I will not be attending. I actually have a friend, you know, he lives out there, a friend of mine, and he doesn't go. But if he did, he'd be in flip flops and shorts and a T shirt. And that's probably how I'd go and totally embarrass myself. But I just I could not believe the incredible outfits.

00:31:29
Speaker 2: So it's the place to be seen. It's if you are anybody, you are at Coachella these days, and that's I mean, the music is taken almost a backseat to what they're wearing.

00:31:38
Speaker 1: I think you're right. You're either, let me just say, you're either at Coachella or you're in a step down from intensive care in the hospital fighting pneumonia. It's one of the other, you know, otherwise amazing, I would have been there in my amazing.

00:31:51
Speaker 2: All right, everyone, that's it for part one. We're going to be back tomorrow answering some of your questions. See you soon.
