00:01:23
Speaker 4: So get in. Uh, we got a full house here ready to go. Nice to see you all.

00:01:29
Speaker 6: Fayette County. Back in school today. So back in school and getting normal, I guess around here to a little bit.

00:01:33
Speaker 5: It's supposed to be what sixty today, sixty degrees, So they've been out of school for two weeks plus.

00:01:38
Speaker 4: Yeah right, yeah, and now they're back back.

00:01:41
Speaker 6: But yet the streets are still a mess. So hopefully's the Sundadali at least be a slushy Miss.

00:01:46
Speaker 5: My little street hasn't been touched. But I mean, I understand my street should be one of the last touched. I get it. But uh, you know, the thing is drew. When you don't shovel your driveway, it's day. Yeah, so it's like a block ice And for people who don't know, it's it's a hill.

00:02:05
Speaker 4: So like I just I had to kind of well, I might have slid down. That's the good thing.

00:02:11
Speaker 7: You can get out, it's just hard to get back up. Yeah, you can always go down.

00:02:14
Speaker 5: Well, you can walk up the grass, but going down everything was just ice this morning.

00:02:19
Speaker 4: So I just I just sat down and hang on your way down.

00:02:24
Speaker 5: What I just sat down and slid down the bottom of the thing.

00:02:27
Speaker 6: Yeah, because you got your front door with your cars in the back, and you gotta go down a little hill to get to your car.

00:02:31
Speaker 5: There's nothing, there's no easy way to do it. But but I mean the smart thing to have done would have been to shovel.

00:02:38
Speaker 4: But I I you weren't here, was you shovel?

00:02:41
Speaker 3: Though it's gonna melt today.

00:02:42
Speaker 2: I was watching my neighbors yesterday shoveling ice, and I'm going tomorrow it's gonna be sixty toll be melted.

00:02:47
Speaker 5: You're you're thinking like me, one day of sliding on your butt makes up for three hours of shoveling. I think I I'll choose the one day of sliding on my butt. I'm glad it's sixty today. But what I have is not melting until April.

00:03:00
Speaker 4: We'll get it.

00:03:00
Speaker 7: It'll get a little run down, turn to some mush, but I'm gonna have ice for long. This is a picture of my sidewalk. What am I supposed to do with that? I can't even mile that will be there in May.

00:03:09
Speaker 5: I think I went for a walk yesterday and it's you know, the sidewalks. It's it's basically you can see who's kind and who's not. It's it's and and I don't want to talk about what my sidewalk looks like, but you get to see, like as I walk down a sidewalk, a little clear stretch, I'll look at those people and I'll say, well, God bless those people. And then the next one is is sheer ice? And so you know it is what it is. The City of Lexington really screwed this up.

00:03:36
Speaker 8: Uh.

00:03:37
Speaker 5: There's still fights now about who's well. I mean, I think everybody agrees that the city's fault. Did I see they got rid of the guy in charge of that?

00:03:43
Speaker 4: Oh? I don't know, did they?

00:03:45
Speaker 5: I might be making that up, but I think I read that whoever was in charge of snow and ice, And to be fair, I don't know that person might be a big KSR listener, And if so, I'm sure you're a good fella.

00:03:55
Speaker 4: But like you have one job, Like in the summer, you're you're good.

00:03:59
Speaker 5: Yeah, in the summer, like you can vacation, I would say pretty easily. So you're performing for like a few days a year, and I think you failed. So I think if I could understand if they lost their job. Yeah, I mean, we have you for this moment, Like we don't need you most of the day.

00:04:20
Speaker 4: This is the whole thing.

00:04:20
Speaker 7: You're almost like a kicker, not even a kicker kickers kickers, but like we do all of this and then we bring you on for this one thing. Don't let us down.

00:04:28
Speaker 5: And yeah, it's like you would be in charge in New Orleans of the Marty Gras Festival and then they just didn't have Marty Gras that year. Like everybody would come and he go, we forgot the floats. We don't have any activities this year. I hope you're good with that.

00:04:42
Speaker 6: Well, that's the thing, you know, with the sidewalks. I think that's why Fat County kept canceling school, because the sidewalks were like all ice if they're afraid the kids walking down the sidewalk might slip on the ice, sohn't necessary of the roads.

00:04:52
Speaker 4: It was the sidewalks. Also, I don't know about that. Did they cancel school because the side it was a concern?

00:05:02
Speaker 5: Okay, I think that's a cop out because the city the issue is busses on. I mean, first of all, if the sidewalks are word of keeping you out of school, then you shouldn't be in school today. The fact that you went to school today tells me it was not you got you have to use rational thinking. If you're telling me you can't go to school because the sidewalks sidewalks are still awful, you're going to school today, which means it wasn't the sidewalks, it was the road. Or you're just tired of listening to parents complain that please go back to this, which also that may be true as well, but you know, kind of is what it is. Now we've been we're back in Lexington and one of the things I didn't get to talk about yesterday is Andrew can Drew can tell you this. I have a new enemy, I Shannon, have something new that I hate that is inevitably.

00:05:52
Speaker 4: Going to be a thing.

00:05:54
Speaker 5: But I am going to go on record and saying, like with pickleball, I will never participate.

00:06:01
Speaker 4: What is this, Waimo? You're out on Waymo?

00:06:04
Speaker 3: Hold on Weymo.

00:06:07
Speaker 5: It's my it's my it's my enemy. Waimo are the solo non driver cars?

00:06:13
Speaker 4: Okay? All right?

00:06:15
Speaker 5: So in San Francisco, I don't know if there's any other city like that. When we're in Phoenix, we saw like one or two San Francisco there everywhere. Okay, Waymo is what would you say, ten to fifteen percent of the cars about right? I mean, Shannon, A lot of cars are way Mo okay, and they've got like it's a car and on top it's like a spinning thing that I don't know what the spinning thing does.

00:06:38
Speaker 4: I guess it's what the camera is. What do you think?

00:06:40
Speaker 7: There's cameras on the on the mirrors. There's lots of cameras around it. But it drives on its own and it's ugly. It's a little scary looking.

00:06:52
Speaker 5: And I just decided I hate them because Shannon, they think that there's no driver, they can do whatever they want.

00:06:59
Speaker 3: They take neglick can well, they're a robot.

00:07:02
Speaker 5: They do it, and that scares me because they one of them cut me off in traffic. And the thing is when somebody cuts you off, Shannon, what do you want to do the horn?

00:07:11
Speaker 4: This thing's not even there.

00:07:12
Speaker 5: You're cussing at a robot. Who does I am? I'm like flipping the robot off and there's not anything you can do. So we were kind of half jokingly me be mad at way Moo's the whole time, and then one day Andrew, you got to back me up on them.

00:07:34
Speaker 4: We saw way mo We saw the danger.

00:07:38
Speaker 5: All right, you got a picture. The San Francisco streets are all like, not all, but some of them are way steep downhill and way steep up hill.

00:07:47
Speaker 6: Have you ever been, no, just seen seen the pictures of the steepest streets.

00:07:51
Speaker 5: Gotta be the steepest streets in the country, don't you think neighborhood I mean there are I'm sure there are steeper mountains, but in terms of a street in a city, in a resident has to be the steepest streets in America. We're going downhill Friday, five o'clock, massive traffic jam.

00:08:09
Speaker 4: Ok, so we're creeping. We probably went a mile and thirty minutes. Is that fair.

00:08:16
Speaker 5: This weymo's trying to pull out, Shannon, and I'm of the view, honestly.

00:08:22
Speaker 4: Screw this weymo. We're looking this way, mon.

00:08:25
Speaker 5: It could just sit there the way Moo takes it on its own to go. I'm cutting in front everybody. The WAYMO cuts in front of three lanes of traffic. Oh my, essentially stops the traffic. Of course, I'm one of the first cars, Shannon. I'm honking at the way MO. I'm calling the number on the side of the phone on the side of the car. I'm mad. It has this girl in the passenger seat. I think she's by herself. But here's why the way most stupid. It's just looking for clear land, right.

00:09:00
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:09:00
Speaker 5: So it goes across the three lanes, which are full of traffic, then gets in the fourth lane, which is a parking lane. Oh my, okay, because there's a couple open parking spots, Shannon.

00:09:10
Speaker 4: It thinks it's a lane.

00:09:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, it thinks it's a zipper merging, but it's going into a.

00:09:14
Speaker 5: It's going into a parking lane. So then it drives up to a parked car. Because the thing's too stupid to know who's in the car. Not and then it's stuck. And we saw this. It's stuck behind parked cars. It's trying to get back the rest of the cars without talking. We've unified. You ain't getting in with boy, and you might not get in for months. And the girl, Shannon is trapped in the car. Yeah, and again it starts during my wrong. She starts to look panic.

00:09:43
Speaker 4: She put her hands on her head, looking around.

00:09:45
Speaker 5: She put her hand, she was like hitting the window, let me out here. She was trapped in the car that was behind the parked cars. And I knew at that moment, Shannon and I never get in a way, Mom, Yeah, it trapped this poor girl.

00:10:00
Speaker 4: No, I still didn't let the thing in.

00:10:02
Speaker 5: You shit trapped her because cut off all the traffic. So think of Waimo as the rudest driver you've ever met.

00:10:11
Speaker 4: And then fifteen percent of the road are way Now.

00:10:13
Speaker 2: I know that you think that you're not in San Francisco, so you wanted to deal with these waymos anymore. But I just googled Waimo in the first story that popped up is Waymo's vehicles are now full ad driver lists in Nashville.

00:10:24
Speaker 5: All right, Nashville is you're gonna have to unite. Yep, you're you're gonna have to unite. We now know their weakness. Make them think it's a lane.

00:10:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, trick them, trick them and trap them, and then trap them, trick them.

00:10:42
Speaker 7: So we're at war with Weaimo the other opposite. I was trying to get Waymo's the whole time. If overhead Waymo, I would have picked no driver every time.

00:10:48
Speaker 5: Why do you want that? We're gonna take in people's jobs. We just keep doing these things. They're gonna take people's jobs, and then we're gonna get here in fifteen years and set. You know, there's gonna be like thirty five percent unemployment and people are gonna be like, how did we get here? And it was cause of way Mo. It's because of the automatic groceries.

00:11:08
Speaker 4: I think it's already here. I don't think we're stopping it. I'm doing my part.

00:11:12
Speaker 7: You're trapping them on the idea of sitting there with a laptop by myself, taking my time whatever.

00:11:17
Speaker 5: Then what are you going to do though, when you don't have anywhere like they're gonna go?

00:11:21
Speaker 4: Well, we don't need Drew Franklin.

00:11:25
Speaker 7: To write all the articles well, my really answer is we should have trains not to get that deep.

00:11:28
Speaker 4: But I'm not afraid of way Mood. I'd happily ride with Waymo.

00:11:32
Speaker 6: I think I get a tickle just thinking about you honking your hornet a driverless car like I.

00:11:36
Speaker 4: Was mad at it? Or she? Or who is he? And who is she?

00:11:43
Speaker 5: And who do they think they are? There? Wouldn't you want to be on their side? They're the ones winning, they're dominating. Well, they cut us all. They're not people, That's what I mean. I could just chill. Human are more important than computers corporations. This is gonna be the thing that if we're ever gonna unite as a country, we're gonna knight unite around this principle.

00:12:06
Speaker 4: And I genuinely think this could happen.

00:12:08
Speaker 5: We cannot let AI computers replace humans, and that sounds like fantasy, but it could happen if we let these way Mos take the road.

00:12:21
Speaker 4: What if they just unite and decide to drive us all in the ocean. It's too late? Are you doing it all? In three? Not getting in? I'm not getting in.

00:12:29
Speaker 7: They're here, Shannon, They'll be to They won't respect people's property and people will end up shooting it. That was my extreme exac I think they're only in San Francisco, Austin and now coming to Nashville. Wow, they're all over Austin too. I think it might have been a different telling you Nashville level.

00:12:47
Speaker 2: Before you know it, we'll have them to market.

00:12:51
Speaker 5: I saw that girl being trapped. It was like the movie Gattica. I think it came out twenty years ago, and it warned of what was to come. I saw what was to come. People trapped in way mos screaming, trying to get out.

00:13:08
Speaker 4: Way Moo, locked the door so she couldn't get locked.

00:13:10
Speaker 5: The door and said, you are mine. Now plays it on songs. You gotta listen to whatever it wants to listen to.

00:13:18
Speaker 4: You're just at its mercy. I love the road.

00:13:21
Speaker 7: Rage where people yell and I think you might have done it, and then you realize no one's there.

00:13:25
Speaker 4: I'm like, well, I know I'm losing.

00:13:28
Speaker 5: I wanted to know there's one person fighting to get stay on humanity.

00:13:32
Speaker 4: I refuse to get chat GBT.

00:13:34
Speaker 5: I know everybody's got the pictures and I'm gonna grant you their funny. I ain't doing it. You know, we got Google. That's hoew you could look stuff up.

00:13:42
Speaker 2: Here's a way moment that ran over a cat in October last year, killing the cats.

00:13:46
Speaker 5: Killing cats, Wow, cats day. People hit cats every day, I understand, But thieves they do it with anger out there and there they're coming after us.

00:14:00
Speaker 4: I'll give you credit. You're one and oh on a one way street with the one with a one coming your way. Chicken coming coming at me.

00:14:08
Speaker 5: It was a chicken and I said, oh, you're moving way mo, Matt one and it back down.

00:14:12
Speaker 4: Did it had no choice?

00:14:14
Speaker 7: It was we saw the car ahead and we're like, this is weird. It's a tiny narrow street. Were coming at each other and as we got closer, we're like, oh, it's a way Mo, it's on.

00:14:22
Speaker 5: I felt like the moment that the human guy beat the computer in chess, you made him.

00:14:29
Speaker 4: He loved that.

00:14:29
Speaker 2: Humanity's still which is interesting because the Waymo has nothing to lose, like you have a life in theory to lose.

00:14:36
Speaker 3: The way it surrendered to Matt. Yeah, the way Moo shouldn't care.

00:14:39
Speaker 4: It knew what was up. It didn't want me to unplug it power down.

00:14:44
Speaker 6: I think the most shocking part of this whole story is that you let it merge in front of you. I didn't think you'd ever let.

00:14:48
Speaker 5: Me already let it the car in front of me, did ioy in front of you?

00:14:52
Speaker 4: Did it now? A car in front of me was weak. I'm gonna be Strong's right, you'd be very strong.

00:14:56
Speaker 5: Twenty two eighty seven Text Machine seven seven to two four five two five for It's ask anything, uh Tuesday, open lines, give us a shout.

00:15:04
Speaker 4: I'll take your call. We'll be right back. KISR.

00:15:08
Speaker 5: Welcome back. Take e sports radio. Ask anything Wednesday or Tuesday. Some folks are always like, hey, I can't get a show. Here's your moment because there's three calls. One is Bob in Chamestown, which means there's two calls and uh eight five nine none seven seven seven four five two five for one person writes Matt. Only ten to fifteen percent of cars are in San Francisco.

00:15:32
Speaker 4: They are like that.

00:15:33
Speaker 5: I thought it would be way mo Oh, that's a good one. That is a good joke joke, to be fair. I mean, I know nobody laughed, but there you go. Shaded to a minute. I had a big smile.

00:15:42
Speaker 4: That was one good thing radio. But I mean, it's not a hearty horror laugh, but that's a didn't see it coming. It's a good joke.

00:15:48
Speaker 5: That's a good, good, good joke. One person writes, Matt, it's not that way. Mo's are one hundred percent driverless. There's actually a spot where if they feel confused, they call a data center in a and people can take over.

00:16:02
Speaker 3: Boy, even that's worse.

00:16:06
Speaker 5: So you're telling me somebody in you know, Thailand is driving my car that.

00:16:11
Speaker 3: Needs at any point they could just jump in there if they wanted to.

00:16:13
Speaker 5: That's the thing, Like, I don't think people think about if all of our cars are in the data system, what if someone takes over that data system? What if you take over all human control from someone. I'm just telling you, man, Like I I'm gonna be wearing a tinfoil hat at some point. You know, I'm not gonna be somebody who gets old and is on Facebook yelling about about politicians. But I might be the guy that's seventy and is, like I told you people about relying on uh, non human things as much. What are we going to do in this country if we have thirty five percent unemployment?

00:16:55
Speaker 4: Seriously, what are we gonna do.

00:16:57
Speaker 6: I can't just find new jobs underneath the rock.

00:17:00
Speaker 4: I mean, and we're going to Yeah, I don't thin you're wrong. I just think it's already too late. We have we just give up.

00:17:06
Speaker 7: We have a whole generation of kids who can't write an email because they're using chat GPT for everything.

00:17:11
Speaker 4: There's not write an email. I mean, that's only forty years. What about just right?

00:17:16
Speaker 7: That's what I mean, Like, there's not going to be any thinking before too long. I think we're already getting too late because people are already loving it.

00:17:22
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean there was a Okay, i'll shut up about this, but there was there was a picture somebody put up and they were lying and it was you Ryan posed with someone else, or no, it was Billy posed with someone else. And somebody asked chat TPBB JET chat GPT, who's the person next to Billy and it said Ryan Lemon and it wasn't you.

00:17:42
Speaker 4: And then they go, it's not Ryan Lemon? Who else? Who is it? And they were like, it's Matt Jones.

00:17:48
Speaker 5: Now you and I don't even look like each other, and we really didn't look like the guy in the picture. So when you see that, you know it makes mistakes, and now there are people who just believe that's true about any that's true. So what if the person that runs, well, I'm done.

00:18:02
Speaker 4: I'm just saying, wait till we have humanoids that are in our house and George for us.

00:18:07
Speaker 5: And by the way, when Sports Illustrated Party Waymo had a thing they were giving away free hats, Shane and I refused it.

00:18:13
Speaker 3: You didn't want the hat? I don't.

00:18:14
Speaker 4: I didn't want to.

00:18:16
Speaker 7: I didn't want to be associated. And here was that big event. Remember we passed. People are lined up around the corner to hear from like AI God or something.

00:18:23
Speaker 5: There's a new there. So we walked down the street and there's a line two blocks long, and I'm like, what's going on? And They're like the new Super AI being debuted and I was like, see, it.

00:18:34
Speaker 4: Was a long long you.

00:18:36
Speaker 5: Would have thought the bigger man ever was One guy looked at me directly in the face and goes, this is the future.

00:18:40
Speaker 4: And I was like, I'm gonna go get a set up across the street. I don't. I don't want anything to.

00:18:44
Speaker 3: Do it bringing it to you.

00:18:47
Speaker 4: It's true. I don't even get a human to bring it to go ahead.

00:18:52
Speaker 9: Amen, first time, long time?

00:18:54
Speaker 4: Who are so?

00:18:56
Speaker 9: Recently the NBA trade deadline came up and Jana Santa Toakumbo was spreading rumors that he might be traded to a different team, leading to people on the Kushi app where you can bet on anything to bet that he would be traded. Yes, and so apparently twenty ish million dollars was put on Yannis that he would be traded to a different team. And then last week it was revealed that Yannis might be a is coming out to be a partner with Calshi. My question is, do you think that maybe an illegal standpoint, that these sports gambling app should be more regulated to prevent this sort of insider trading?

00:19:35
Speaker 4: Yes, so I am, I am.

00:19:38
Speaker 5: As we know, we were a big advocate in legalized gambling, and I still think it's a good thing.

00:19:44
Speaker 4: Well good, I think it's fine.

00:19:46
Speaker 5: It's a vice that people can have that I think is if done in control. Okay, I do think these unregulated apps, these quote unquote prediction markets are ripe for because there are people out there that know the answers right. So like Gyannis knew whether or not he was gonna be traded, and for him to like, I do think that's sketchy.

00:20:08
Speaker 7: And you can create the bet. You can know something and just make the bet.

00:20:12
Speaker 4: For other peoples.

00:20:13
Speaker 5: Is Matt Jones going to eat Chipotle for lunch and let people bet? But I know whether or not I'm going to so I can just steal people's money, and I think that's wrong. I think government has to stop that.

00:20:29
Speaker 4: Did you see the Super Bowl insider get burned?

00:20:31
Speaker 5: What?

00:20:32
Speaker 4: So?

00:20:33
Speaker 7: Somebody was betting all kinds of crazy money on very specific Super Bowl stuffs, including he bet two hundred thousand dollars that Cardi B won't perform. They took his money and said by her dancing on stage, she performed. So there's like a big debate. He's even tweeting at Calshi's saying it shouldn't be that way. It's like a friend of Drake's, he had all very deep It's very clear he knew what he was doing, except they still counted Cardi B by her being with the sugarcanes they took.

00:20:58
Speaker 5: Never bet on those things because I think they're so easily manipulated. Everything in life needs to be regulated, and so yeah, I think those things need to be regulated.

00:21:08
Speaker 4: Well.

00:21:08
Speaker 7: On the apps when it's like first song bad Bunio play, they have a cap of like twenty five dollars. You couldn't go bet a million or something crazy if you know, okay, congratulations may be able to do. You know what I'm saying, this new CALSI thing, there's no limit. You can bet whatever you want on these things where you obviously know the answer. At least the gambling apps we have now they won't let you bet more than you know a handful of money.

00:21:28
Speaker 4: Branding, go ahead branded.

00:21:31
Speaker 10: Hey guys, it's almost like we're living in the movie Maximum over Drive. Do you remember that one?

00:21:37
Speaker 1: Not?

00:21:37
Speaker 4: But but if who was in Maximum Overdrive?

00:21:42
Speaker 10: Amelia?

00:21:44
Speaker 4: Oh wow?

00:21:45
Speaker 3: So the trucks took over and had like a mind of their own, right? Is it that the movie?

00:21:49
Speaker 10: Yeah?

00:21:49
Speaker 5: Yeah, see there you go just on that. Have you ever seen the movie Duel No scariest movie?

00:21:57
Speaker 10: Oh?

00:21:57
Speaker 4: Yes, It's about this guy.

00:21:59
Speaker 5: He's driving down the street and then this trucker just decides to It was Steven Spielberg's first movie. A trucker just decides to come after him, and you never see the face of the truck driver, but everywhere he goes, the truck drivers there and trying to wreck him. It's like an hour and a half of tension. It was Spielberg's first movie. It is awesome.

00:22:16
Speaker 4: Go watch it some time. All right, sorry, go ahead.

00:22:20
Speaker 10: I think we need to befriend these AI robots because we're gonna need them against the aliens. But no, my question for you all, if you don't care, what's the biggest conspiracy theory that you all believe in that you don't think the other guys in the KSR will would would expect one.

00:22:40
Speaker 5: I like that question, and by the way, appreciate the call. So we'll talk about that after the break. What's the biggest conspiracy theory we each believe in that we don't think the other ones would would be would think we do. I also want to talk to UK basketball. Mark Pope talked last night. We're not gonna just be conspiracy theory. I do want to do some basketball. We'll take a break right back KSR.

00:23:00
Speaker 4: TJ Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ. He'll make them pay.

00:23:04
Speaker 2: Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio present it by Stockton Mortgage.

00:23:08
Speaker 3: Here's Matt Jones.

00:23:09
Speaker 4: Welcome back, Turkey Sports Radio.

00:23:10
Speaker 5: Got some fellow fans out there, on the text machine of Duel.

00:23:14
Speaker 4: Neither of you not seen it.

00:23:15
Speaker 5: It's like see in the seventies, late seventies, maybe well, I don't know when Spielberg's first movie was, but like it's just one guy in.

00:23:23
Speaker 4: A truck truck's chasing a guy.

00:23:25
Speaker 5: Truck chasing you've never seen. But it's like an old beat up old uh, like you know, semi truck. And it's so scary because you're like, this guy gonna ever get away, and he tries all these things to get away, and no matter what he does, he's right there. It's great and you can see why. You can watch it and see why Spielback I think it was a TV movie, but you can still find it. All right, you gotta watch it.

00:23:46
Speaker 4: It's kind of your speed.

00:23:47
Speaker 5: Duel d u E l Okay One Person Rights Madam, get married Saturday, Kentucky, Florida. Game will be starting as we are close to finishing the reception. Do I cut the reception short? Or what else can I do? No?

00:24:02
Speaker 4: Put it on, put it on the corner. Don't have to, especially if.

00:24:05
Speaker 5: You if you, if you've gotten through the whole thing, your wife once like the dance and the cake and the little thing under your leg that they throw to the bride'smaids. Uh, what what do you call that thing?

00:24:18
Speaker 4: What's oh the garter?

00:24:19
Speaker 11: Garter?

00:24:20
Speaker 5: If you've gotten through all that, then yeah, just put it on the side. People can watch it for it'll be a chance for them to congre.

00:24:26
Speaker 7: Yeah, hot take, like you're saying, if everything's done, I've had some fun game watch parties because like all your friends are there, there's an open bar. That's as long as there's a TV in a good setup, it can actually be a fun party. But as long as all the other stuff's done and you can focus and no one's like, hey, whir are fifteen dudes huddled around that TV over there? Did I tell you?

00:24:43
Speaker 5: In San Francisco, a guy came up to me and said, I'm getting married at Harper Hall? Really yeah from here. They were from Kentucky and they're coming back here and getting married.

00:24:52
Speaker 4: At Harper Hall.

00:24:53
Speaker 6: So they work out there now, live out in San Francisco coming back here to get married.

00:24:56
Speaker 4: That was crazy, all right, conspiracy theory you believe in?

00:25:00
Speaker 6: Uh right, I actually have two, but I think one you guys also believe in.

00:25:04
Speaker 4: Give me the one. We don't believe in the.

00:25:06
Speaker 6: One that you guys may not believe in. And you can try to convince me all you want. But the fact that Tubby Smith found that mysterious Randolph Randolph Morris facts in the bottom of his death drawer.

00:25:17
Speaker 4: Everybody, I think everybody knows that was nonsense.

00:25:20
Speaker 6: Well if people there's documentations on big Blueistory dot net that says it's not true.

00:25:25
Speaker 4: What do you mean there's documentation.

00:25:26
Speaker 6: Oh, there's some big story there about it that we man Morris facts.

00:25:30
Speaker 4: Yes, so you just don't believe there was a facts. I believe it was.

00:25:34
Speaker 6: They found one, but it was a mysteriously fabricated one or something fake.

00:25:39
Speaker 5: Okay, I mean I don't think that's a crazy I thought we were gonna do something much bigger. This is a that's a fact about eligibility in two thousand and five.

00:25:48
Speaker 7: Yes, okay, all right, Drew sucking. This is my topic. You know, I could go to CIA route. They're definitely lying about a lot of things and control a lot of things. But I think I'll stick with aliens because that's kind of my brand on this show. I'm gonna say we have some form of technology that they haven't told us about that came from aliens or UFO. And I'll add that Roswell was real because I've been there and seen what happened, and I believe every single one of those people, and it's a shame that they've made them all sound crazy.

00:26:17
Speaker 5: I'm not gonna I'm not gonna speak with a raving lunatic on the sidewalk lap I.

00:26:22
Speaker 4: Could do mk ultra if you'd want to go down that.

00:26:26
Speaker 5: All right, that's fine, that's I think that's crazy, but that's okay.

00:26:30
Speaker 3: Shit to see.

00:26:30
Speaker 2: Drew and I believe the alien things. So we kind of cancel each other out because I agree with Drew. I think there are aliens. There's been too many sightings of UFOs to not be something out there.

00:26:40
Speaker 4: And yet no good picture.

00:26:41
Speaker 3: Oh there's plenty of good pictures.

00:26:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, always look at and because black and white. I took a picture of Ludacris from five hundred feet today and could see a pimple on his face. And you're telling me there's not one picture of an alien that's a good picture that doesn't look blurry, black and white.

00:26:59
Speaker 4: And and well, they're not having concerts inviting ten people come look at them.

00:27:03
Speaker 5: Why are they going to these random little towns to people's houses.

00:27:06
Speaker 4: Well don't know, they don't know. Oh so they're so smart. They can get here, but they can't figure out which town is Wich.

00:27:15
Speaker 3: They're smart. They want to figure out how to use Wyne.

00:27:17
Speaker 5: Don't they get here if they're not smart? That's what we're trying to figure out. You know how big the universe is?

00:27:22
Speaker 4: Do you know? How is to think that we're the only thing that says you said that they're here. I'm willing.

00:27:29
Speaker 7: At no point did I say they're here. I said we have technology from where we get it? They landed in Roswell, that there.

00:27:37
Speaker 5: Was that was. They're not at Kroger with it. So you think they came years ago? They chose New Mexicans survive and we have to use the United States. Let's be as ethnocentric, post minded. There's been sightings in Brazil. They're all over the world. Do you think Americans are the only place?

00:27:56
Speaker 4: And I've yet to see a picture. Open your eyes?

00:27:59
Speaker 3: Okay, what is yours?

00:28:02
Speaker 5: Well mine is not. At first of all, I don't believe in conspiracy theories. But if I were to pick something that I do think is true, I do think, and this happens more and more every day, that there's a group of fifteen to twenty people that essentially run eighty five percent of this country, the kind of elite two or three people that run the major media companies, the banks. I do think there's a group of people and then and then there's a couple politicians, probably on each side. That's the big lesson of the Epstein files. The big lesson is that all these elite people know each other and that they communicate with each other all the time, regardless of what you think of I mean, obviously the other stuff is awful, but whether you believe someone's involved or not involved, look at the emails show you that they all know each other, and they all communicate with each other all the time, and there are people like him who have these major roles in the running of humanity. That we don't even know who these people are because the one had heard of this guy before this happened, right right. That's to me the lesson, and so I think that I've always kind of believed that, but I think it's even more true now. There's like and the number of people's getting smaller and smaller, there's a handful of people that I think run eighty to ninety percent of what we do, and we all fight over these little nuggets they give us, but really they're the ones running it.

00:29:25
Speaker 6: So this group of people, you're staying, they're the ones blocking the release of the Epstein files.

00:29:28
Speaker 5: This group of people, well, I don't know, probably somewhat, but it's not about the Epstein files. It's just about all everyday humanity. I mean read look and see they all knew each other and both like, they all know each other, and they all communicate, and they all would go to the same place. You remember we saw that New Year's Eve party at Saint Bart's and like all the richest people in the world were in one place. You think they're just drinking tequila. They're also probably having an effect on our what's the economy?

00:29:57
Speaker 4: What are we going to do? Where we you know, how do we get rid of all these people? Yeah? I mean have you seen dude? Have you seen that?

00:30:03
Speaker 5: You saw the one dude that did the interview with the New York Times where he was like, We're gonna move beyond humans. The guy that runs Pallenteer. How does that do not scare everyone to death.

00:30:13
Speaker 4: Scared me just you saying that, and now he runs that he's in charge of the defense department.

00:30:19
Speaker 7: Come on, all right, I'll shut up. I think all that's just fact. The rich have gotten too rich and we can't turn it off.

00:30:24
Speaker 4: I agree, Roger, Go ahead, Roger.

00:30:28
Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't get to watch show every day or show every day. So what's going on with these recruits?

00:30:34
Speaker 12: Are we going to get any we're.

00:30:35
Speaker 4: Getting another or any theories about that?

00:30:39
Speaker 5: I'd like to there's some conspiracy theories I could do on that, but we'll just save it. To answer your question, Roger, it doesn't look like, absent a change, we will get any of the top recruits. I'm sure they'll find one or two people to sign from somewhere, but it's it's, at least as of today, not looking like it could. This may be the first year when has Kentucky not gotten a.

00:31:04
Speaker 4: Top thirty recruit. How far back would you have to go? I'm worried about getting all recruit at this point.

00:31:11
Speaker 5: I mean, you'll find somebody, but when when's the last time we have not had?

00:31:17
Speaker 6: Okay, so Billy's last year, second year, but we got Patrick Patterson.

00:31:21
Speaker 4: That was the first year, wasn't it?

00:31:23
Speaker 5: So did he get nobody the second year? No, I appreciate the call of Danny j Well Jasper. Jasper was a tubby guy, wasn't he. Yeah that's right, well he was.

00:31:38
Speaker 4: No, he was going to get Daniel Wharton. Wharton was in Cal's first class, but he would sign. He committed to Gillespie. Honestly, what was John Hood he was? I mean you might have to.

00:31:50
Speaker 5: Go back to the Bobby Perry wu Kaw Charie Schigari year. Yeah, that was a recruiting class. I don't think any of those guys we're in the.

00:32:00
Speaker 6: Top thirty because I think that the year they thought they were gonna get Tyler Hansborough.

00:32:04
Speaker 5: Yes, good memory, Yeah, that was the year they thought they were going to get Tyler Hansborough. So I think you would have to go back to Bobby Perry, Shagari wu charae as the last recruiting class with no top player guys. And I think that's where we're headed unless something happens.

00:32:20
Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm trying to look up on the fly others. I really, I mean, thank god we have the portal now where you can just pretend that you didn't.

00:32:26
Speaker 4: Want high school people, which is what we have to do.

00:32:28
Speaker 7: But I really think this could end up being like nothing if there's not that many players left. Yeah, we don't want to settle for the eightieth guy at that point, just go get someone out of the porn.

00:32:38
Speaker 4: It hurts too.

00:32:39
Speaker 6: The two dudes with Kentucky ties are both maybe gonna both go to Kansas. I think that stings a little more.

00:32:43
Speaker 5: Also, you wa'd SA game last night, You'd see why Isaiah? Go ahead, Isaiah?

00:32:49
Speaker 8: Hey, you got me?

00:32:50
Speaker 4: Yes?

00:32:52
Speaker 8: Hey, So I have a question. So, coming off a successful DNOM night, why don't we lean into our history and do more of those kind of throwback jersey nights. I mean, you think you benefit so much from a marketing standpoint, a recruiting standpoint, a point, and then to go further, I mean you look at the NBA and they change their courts up every time they do a different jersey. You're like, sometimes, why don't we change the court up?

00:33:17
Speaker 11: You know, I know, I want to address that.

00:33:19
Speaker 5: That was actually one of my topics I had listed, So let me do that. I'm going to take a break. I appreciate the call. I actually want to talk about the success of the denim and and and what you're saying, because I completely agree with you. A five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Send me the ad shain it so I could do a one at the next break. We'll take a break me right back, so KSR. Welcome back, Tekey Sports Radio. A five nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven. Text machine seven seven two seven four five two five four great text I going through here.

00:33:47
Speaker 4: Billy G did get Alex Legion that year? Is he top thirty? Yeah? So it is the Bobby Perry one.

00:33:53
Speaker 5: Yeah, So I mean, thinking about it, that's twenty years since we've not gotten It's twenty twenty years. Yeah, twenty years since we've not gotten at least one player in the top thirty, and we are on pace to not do that now. Now that caller's point about denim and all that, I thought the denim thing worked amaze. It did, okay, I mean everybody liked the stuff. It looked cool. They're still like confusion about whether not those jackets are for sale. Last night, Mark Pope said they were, then Tom Leach said, I No, I don't think they are, and then I've heard people have gotten them so I don't know if they are.

00:34:28
Speaker 4: Not one thing, that why they might not sell. Someone noticed they spelled unparalleled wrong on the back. Oh really, it's a little typo. All those jackets tough look for something so special.

00:34:40
Speaker 7: You know, at least they didn't spell Kentucky and they didn't really get it close. It says like unpara raal a little did it's.

00:34:47
Speaker 5: Not vicinity of the thing. I am more convinced than ever we need to do. We need to do more fun stuff. Yep, you know, I understand the argument of we're Kentucky. I get it, but we need to do more fun stuff. We just do because of what our arena is and how it's set up. It's never gonna be that great environment. It can be a really good environment like it was Saturday night, and it can have those great moments, but it's not going to be a consistent thing. And the fans love it. At the end of the day, we did thisdnim thing and fans were lined up.

00:35:25
Speaker 4: Why not do it?

00:35:27
Speaker 5: We went on this trip. We went to the bookstore at cal Berkeley. Right, okay, all right, cal Berkeley. Who cares about that? As a sports school?

00:35:36
Speaker 4: Right?

00:35:37
Speaker 5: Coolest assortment of merchandise. All right, they had marsha on Lynch University, right, they had all this stuff. It was a store full of things, and I was like, there's so many cool items from so many manufacturers, and I thought, Kentucky's Kentucky stuff.

00:35:56
Speaker 4: Wouldn't you.

00:35:57
Speaker 5: I mean, you're apparel guy. Tucky stuff is twenty five percent as good as this. And we've been other places, not just col that.

00:36:06
Speaker 4: It was right. Yes, we're way behind on the stay way way way behind.

00:36:13
Speaker 5: Just go look at what you can buy from other schools and then go look at what you can buy from here. Now why that's the case, I'm not sure, but yes, we should do more cool stuff. We should have more special things. This is Kentucky. We like think about when people wear those handmade jackets and how cool they look, and everybody's like, where can I get one? Why don't we do more of that stuff?

00:36:38
Speaker 4: So we did the denim this year. Would you be in favored like doing the icicles every year? Every year you have a special uniform.

00:36:44
Speaker 5: You know what, if you don't like it, it's one game and we move on a one game, one game and we move on. Maybe you do icicles, but maybe we create new ones. Maybe we put a uniform out one time that's just the outline of the state.

00:36:57
Speaker 4: True. I don't know.

00:36:58
Speaker 5: I'm not a graphic design but just try stuff right.

00:37:03
Speaker 4: And they want to raise.

00:37:04
Speaker 5: Revenue for buying players and all this stuff, well here's a way to do it. Stop being such sticks in the mud with your things and making everything like it could be sold at doll hears. All right, no offensive do no offensive dollars. But we should have like newer fun stuff.

00:37:22
Speaker 6: So twenty years from now, when Mario and Billy are doing KSR, or are they going to do like the checkerboard jerseys, bring those back and people be excited about it.

00:37:30
Speaker 4: Maybe yeah, I think, I.

00:37:31
Speaker 5: Mean maybe, Like I didn't like the checkerboards because it was every single game, But if we had done the checkerboards once.

00:37:38
Speaker 4: One game, I'm fine with you. So I just being at Cal and seeing all there, I mean, they had so much cool stuff and I was like, this is col What if it was at Kentucky? It just made me disappointed. Adam go ahead at.

00:37:52
Speaker 12: Him, Hey, morning, guys, not going to ask anything, but I want to stay with the game. Last week in the ninety six team, uh did agree with Drew's takes, it would have been weird for Rick to come back and uh and be the why any active coach for that matter. But I will say this up here in Chicago and Saint John's were in town last week to play to Paul and took a ninety six title hat with me just in the off chance I could get Rick to to sign it. And after the game, when he was walking through the title bunch of uh, you know, everybody's yelling at Rick Rick for PREZ, couple of Louisville shirts, stuck that thing out, stopped them deadness tracks and uh, and he signed it. So I can't think of another active coach that would, you.

00:38:38
Speaker 8: Know, sign it.

00:38:40
Speaker 11: You're right, he's He's different school.

00:38:42
Speaker 12: So I think that guy just unapologetically loves UK.

00:38:46
Speaker 5: I agree with you, And I think the fact that I appreciate the call that he loves.

00:38:49
Speaker 4: Us more than he loves Louisville just makes the rivalry even better. Oh yeah, that makes me feel good about it. My whole thing, as I said on the on the pregame show, the today is just being at another school. And it's more so why does the other school let him do it?

00:39:02
Speaker 12: That?

00:39:02
Speaker 4: Like Saint John.

00:39:03
Speaker 5: Maybe you should stay focused. He didn't end up coming, so that's the way. That's fine.

00:39:07
Speaker 4: But there's cool that he would sign stuff like that. I get it.

00:39:09
Speaker 5: So he, by the way, one last night beat his son and now he's the third winning this coach of all time. It's uh, coach K. I think then is oh maybe and then him, No, coach K Beheim and then him. So he has like nine hundred and four and I want to say Coach K has like twelve hundred and five. So he's probably not going to catch him, but he has a chance to pass Beehink. So he's a chance to come in second.

00:39:37
Speaker 6: You know, he got win number nine hundred against Richard Patino. Now he breaks goes into third place, beating Richard Patino, Poor Richard taking two beatings in a historical games for him.

00:39:46
Speaker 4: Richard had a big lead too, and Richard blew that lead. Richard had a Richard looking more and more like Ricka twins.

00:39:54
Speaker 5: You know, now he's kind of growing in and then you know Rix Shannon having all that surgery and Richard's getting older and they're sort of meeting in the minut right. Yeah, it's starting starting to look more and more like each other. I'm going to give him thirty seconds. Bob and Jamestown go.

00:40:13
Speaker 11: Are people losing their independence and self reliance?

00:40:17
Speaker 4: Now?

00:40:18
Speaker 11: All this we have a little winter, and they're just, you know, really whining about the government's not doing enough, you know, clean up or whatever. I mean, where are people nowadays? I mean they should be. What about buying too much on the government.

00:40:38
Speaker 4: But what about people who need help? You're supposed to be a.

00:40:41
Speaker 11: Live Yeah, I'm talking about as far as like against the mayor. She's not doing enough to keep the roads clean.

00:40:52
Speaker 4: But that's the.

00:40:53
Speaker 5: One thing a mayor is supposed to do is keep the roads clean and keep the streets safe. I think, listen, I like her, and but like I think it's perfectly legitimate to criticize one of the three things that the mayor's most important job.

00:41:08
Speaker 4: For it not to have gone, well, that's that's reasonable. Bob.

00:41:14
Speaker 11: Back in September, Farmer's amba man is coming the same So, okay, appreciate the call.

00:41:21
Speaker 5: And you're tired of buying the same flowers or candy every year, here's a gift idea.

00:41:25
Speaker 4: What are you laughing about?

00:41:27
Speaker 6: Poor Bob, just trying to make a point about the government.

00:41:30
Speaker 2: You gave them twice as much time as what you said you're giving.

00:41:32
Speaker 5: And to be fair, if the governor, if the mayor was Republican, he'd be blasted her.

00:41:37
Speaker 4: I'm just trying to be fair, all right.

00:41:39
Speaker 3: You're taking up for Republicans, Yes, because I'm fair.

00:41:42
