David and Taylorman are one of gospel music's most prominent power couples, with several musical and literary projects, television shows, and movies in their collective credit. They are a stellar example of teamwork and managing marriage and business. I'm really excited to talk to them about the keys of cultivating and keeping a heavy marriage, the bounce between working on screen and life off camera. But first, I'm gonna spend some one on one time with a woman of the hour to talk about her new album, Live, Breathe, Fight, and much more. Tam, thank you so much for coming. 00:02:37 Speaker 3: Thank you for having me. 00:02:38 Speaker 1: Oh my god. First of all can we get into how good you look? 00:02:42 Speaker 3: What's this I'm trying I'm modeling after. 00:02:45 Speaker 1: Get well, thank you, really good, thank you. 00:02:49 Speaker 3: I'm just trying to stay healthy. You're trying to stay healthy, and even with working on the new music, I'm just saying this right off the top of just I'm starting, like from inside out. 00:02:58 Speaker 1: That's beautiful when you. 00:02:59 Speaker 3: Say looking at the body, but it's like mental. I'm trying to make sure my mental's right, my spirit man is right, and the. 00:03:05 Speaker 1: Body I see it. 00:03:06 Speaker 5: I said, as a woman, I struggled with my weight, going up and down, up and down. Yes's been one of those things. And being more transparent about it. I've noticed that a lot of people struggle with the same thing. But for me, like you said, inside out, I recently just did a trip where I was learning about so many different things, but the main thing was what we eat, exercising, socializing, and it talked about how even with dementia, how if you don't do these things and I was like, oh, I was like, so it's already starting now and I don't even know it. Wow, Like it all says twenty thirty years before you even like can feel it or having any type of symptoms. 00:03:46 Speaker 1: So like I started really taking it serious. 00:03:48 Speaker 3: I know, because you know my mom was had Yes I did, so I went through that with her. So my constant prayers like Lord, keep my mind, Lord keep on yes, because I just still even when it comes to your mind is a part of everything that you do and how we function. And I'm like, when it comes to my singing, it's like my relationship. And then when it comes to the second part, which is my singing, it's so important and I'm like, Lord, I need to remember what I got us say. 00:04:16 Speaker 1: Yes, oh my goodness. 00:04:17 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:04:17 Speaker 1: There's sometimes where I get on stage, I'm like. 00:04:20 Speaker 3: I have one blank. It's like, what's my first word? What's my first word? Because I think too. It's like the nervousness, but it kind of people say, you still get nervous, but. 00:04:32 Speaker 1: I do get nerve. 00:04:35 Speaker 3: Man gets nervous every time. You may not see it, but I'm shaking in my boots. 00:04:40 Speaker 1: You know what. 00:04:40 Speaker 5: Tyler talk me though, because he would call me like before I had something big to do. 00:04:44 Speaker 1: He's like, you're nervous. I'm like, no, I'm good. 00:04:46 Speaker 5: He was like that's not good, and I was like, what do you mean, he said, you need to feel something so you can lean on God. 00:04:51 Speaker 1: That is it. 00:04:52 Speaker 3: That is he took the took it right out of my mouth. And then I'm I'm depending on. 00:04:56 Speaker 1: His strength, his power, and that's what we feel. 00:04:59 Speaker 3: And that exactly because it's like, but once i get them first couple of words out of her, I'm good after. 00:05:05 Speaker 5: I love that we both work in the entertainment industry with both actors and it's such a vain industry and being that like I know, for me, I'm really hard on myself when I gain weight and I'm like, I gotta lose, I gotta lose it. 00:05:18 Speaker 1: And my audience they. 00:05:19 Speaker 5: See that she's too hard on herself, like she's find the way she is. Have you ever had moments where you're like, Tam, like you gotta get on it, or like feel like you fell off the bandwagon because. 00:05:28 Speaker 3: You yes, I done fell off like you said, on and off a lot. But what happens is it's like I really this time, it's like I'm really trying to concentrate on it because I want to be healthy or not causing myself to have or deal with different issues for as medically. Yes, so that has been most of my concentration on it and trying to make better choices. It's not good every day, y'all. It's not happening every day making the best choice. But I'm just really trying to change my lifestyle thinking. So it's you know, it's just I think it's just a part of how all of us are made, because we all have different things that we have to work on, and for me, Wade has been that thing. But I honestly came into the world big. I was nine and a half pounds, so I've been thick my whole life. But I can't just ride. I realized in talking to myself, yes, speaking to myself, that you gotta you can't make that an excuse. Yeah, and you gotta just make better choices. 00:06:27 Speaker 1: Yeah, you said, it's not always good. 00:06:28 Speaker 5: I have this challenge called that did you move to their challenge where I challenged my audience to get up and at least work out one hour a day. 00:06:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, But. 00:06:42 Speaker 5: The last few weeks, I feel like I haven't been doing what I'm preaching, Like I'm inspiring people to do these things, but my schedule is so crazy that I can't keep up with it. 00:06:51 Speaker 1: Do you have moments where you're like. 00:06:53 Speaker 3: Dang, yes it is. And when it comes to working out, I have fallen off the bandwagon. But the thing for me is once I do get up, it is a constant move. It's not like I'm sitting down. True, I'm like moving. I'm not necessarily to exercise, but I'm constantly moving and not just sitting. So I think that has worked for me. But I really do need to get a regiment in where I like to walk. But I like to walk outside and even in my neighborhood it's a cool neighborhood, but people still stop. I have FedEx ups men and they stop. My wife can take a picture. I'm like, sir, I can't stop and talk to you. You see exercise said, I'm trying to get myself right. Take a picture. 00:07:37 Speaker 1: You know. 00:07:37 Speaker 3: It's like you love people, but it's like you are like in those selfish I can speak for myself, the selfish moment where I'm really trying to concentrate on me and get me better. But that thing like that happens. That's why I really stopped going to a major gym because people was standing beside them the treadmill talkingand but we're just trying to get it together, just. 00:08:03 Speaker 5: Like literally no, and then sometimes like you're you're in a very vulnerable station, you know, makeup. You just trying to Sometimes we don't feel our best selves, but we're trying to get to that point. 00:08:13 Speaker 1: Where we feel good about ourselves. And people just want to come up and can't take a picture. I'm like, I look crazy. 00:08:17 Speaker 3: This is no, you don't you look beautiful? You know, you tell them right now, and I will say, you know, I'm really into water aerobics, so it's like, you know, I'm you wet, You got the wet look for me, And it's like, yeah, you know, but people, you know, I really appreciate because you guys and the people following us make us who we are and the support of what you do. But it's like, but we're still human too. 00:08:45 Speaker 1: Yeah we are. It is so true. 00:08:47 Speaker 5: I've noticed that you've really taken fashion to another level. You have the Taileman collections. 00:08:54 Speaker 3: Part of this is not part of a collection, but I'm trying to link. First I was just into I'm into it have at leisure things now, but I'm trying to lean more over to more comfort, easy gold things like this. So this is the vein and the avenue that I'm going to. But I'm into really heavily the shapewear, Like now I have new the latte color that matches our skin, okay, and it's a nice thing if you know my shape where I love about it. I wear it every day. It's comfortable. It gives you a snatch, but it's a comfortable snatched that I need. And it gives you a lift you know where have you? You know you already got that bumped down, so it just goes you. Don't just give you a little bit more there. You know, it ain't gonna take it out of right portion. 00:09:35 Speaker 1: It's gonna hold you. That's what I love it. 00:09:37 Speaker 5: I love about Okay, I need to get some shape some of your shpewear because for me it's hard to find shape where that's comfortable. 00:09:43 Speaker 3: And it's I wear it every day, And no joke, y'all, I don't wear underwear. I just wear shapewear. Oh there you go, Okay, every day every day. 00:09:52 Speaker 1: That's the secret. 00:09:54 Speaker 3: That is, if it's a secret, because. 00:09:58 Speaker 1: Then sometimes I do know. 00:09:59 Speaker 5: It's like if I do wear under where like I can see the attention, but it's not all smooth. 00:10:05 Speaker 1: We got it tip of the day. So you are a mother and entertainer. 00:10:15 Speaker 5: How have you been able to manage it for all these years? 00:10:18 Speaker 3: It could be rough. Our first earlier years was really rough, especially when the kids were younger, and even when they got into their teenage years, because that's when like the plays really took off, and then we started, you know, with the television stuff, So we would be gone for months at a time until like you know, Tyler's smashed it down or crunched it down. Now we go even faster, but we would be gone and we missed a lot of stuff. So a lot of times it was it was hard for us, you know. Like I can remember one day, I was standing on side of the stage and we were doing Meet the Brown's, the play, and I just started crying. So my son had a game, my daughter was getting ready for the prom, but we were doing the show. We had made the commitment, so I missed it. So it's like I'm talking to them. He's talking to him played by play with football and I'm saying, well, okay, what you gonna wear? What color you gonna do? And you know what the drench look like? You know, so it's likes, yes, trying to be present, but it was it was rough, but a lot of times we would work, but once we come home, we dedicated it to family time where I concentrated on them. If anything or events was happening, if my kids couldn't come, I wasn't going because I felt like I have already been gone and if I'm home, they should be with me. And that's how me and David kind of went about it, just making sure that we got that family time in because it is important to us even to this day. But everybody now has their own families and kids and everything, so I'm letting them also make their own traditions with them faith. Even though me and Daddy were David, I'm sorry and David were always you know, it's when things happened. We really like things to happen in our house. But we've been like that with them since they were kids. They had every event. If they were gonna have a party, we want everybody had a part of our house so we can kind of see what was going on. 00:12:12 Speaker 1: Everybody come here. 00:12:12 Speaker 3: Yes, So we did that a lot, but we kind of learned how to kind of set times for the acting, set learning to set times for the music and things like that. And it's working. I mean we've been doing it. Everything hadn't been perfect, but it's working. 00:12:28 Speaker 1: That's amazing what it is. 00:12:29 Speaker 5: Some of the challenges besides not just being able to be there physically, the physically. 00:12:35 Speaker 3: Just being away was to me the hardest part actually not being there. But the other challenge for me, if I could turn the question a little bit, is when I was trying to do release music and we were filming at the same time, where it got so overwhelming that I was actually I study a lot. It's like I get in the bad tub with my scripts and I'm a physical more so than the iPad. I like the paper paper, Okay, I want the actual paper. So I'm there trying to do the lines. And I was so tired because it's like we filmed all week. The whole weekend I was out promoting, so it's like I had no time to just wind down and I got in the tub trying to remember. I was like, I started crying. I said, I don't want to do this, no move because I couldn't remember recalling no lines. It's like my brain was so full that nothing I said it's not saying I can't remember. He was like, well, this is how you do it. And David is the kind he can read it twice. He knows everybody's stuff. 00:13:36 Speaker 1: He's that guy, he is that person. 00:13:38 Speaker 3: Well he knows everybody's lines. Where you have to catch yourself because he be doing like he's sitting on the side saying my lines with me and Roger Bob was like, stop it. He was like what He was like, you you're actually saying her lines as she's saying them. So he was like, I don't even realize it. But that, to me was one of the biggest it's challenges for me is to when things kind of stack up on top of each other. That was but that's been like the hardest part for me. And I was like, I can't do it that way anymore. I I gotta schedule things differently where I can think straight and concentrate on what is at hand. 00:14:16 Speaker 5: So in that way, amazing. You mentioned that your mother had dementia. 00:14:21 Speaker 1: What I know, as we get older, our. 00:14:23 Speaker 5: Parents end up almost becoming our children, like the roles reverse and a lot of people don't talk about the weight that that carries when you have to take care of your parents, who's who can't remember things? 00:14:34 Speaker 1: What was that like? 00:14:35 Speaker 5: And what are some things that maybe you can sow into people who are dealing with that. 00:14:38 Speaker 3: Now, that's good. First of all, you just have to really be patient with the person. With your mother, like just to say it is like it is a reverse role of them becoming your it's like you become the parent. But to me, it's like I prayed for patience for it. But then there's a time that I had to ask God to help me. David helped me because I was crying a lot because I was missing the connection that me and my mother had. And so it's like, really it's a lot of patience and you have to take the help where help is because sometimes it's like you feel like I felt like I was trying to do it even with coming in and out, I was trying to do a lot of it on my own. And then sometimes when your family is not coming in to help, those things of just really being really patient and being patient with the person itself, because it can get frustrating, especially if my mother was really easy but I dealt with because my first job was at a senior citizen home. Yes, I was a nurse's aid, so that kind of prepared me in the long run of what happens. And I just remembered, you got to be very loving, remember that they're there. Don't forget about them. Don't forget about them, because you have to make sure that you put it in time. Even though you have your life, your fam taking care of your family and all that, but it's really good to make sure that that person just feels your presence. They may not even know you there, but you just talk to them as if they know. Because it's like I was kind of giving my mother play by play. We got to the point where we was buying our first home, and I took her and I said, Mama, because she never owned a home. I was like, Mom, I'm buying it. We're buying a house, and this is the house. And she was just standing there like looking y'all, like into the bliss. But I was like, I just really hate that she couldn't be It's really hard for me to talk about my mom because it really brings me to tears because as my careers took off, that's when the Alzheimer's happened and we were with Kirk Franklin the family at the time singing. So it's like she didn't get to after all the prayers, she didn't get to see any of my career or the fruits of her labor, even her praying for me. So being patient with her and just trying to just whine and dine her as much as I could, I would just say, but it's really the patience, really the patience and taking time to even go sit with them, even though they don't know that you're there, they may not know who you are. It's really to me that's a big part. And even the nurses state that that family still needs to come and check on their people, and that's something that, like I said, I learned early on, so it kind of prepared me for when that time came and it came very important to me where I would come and visit with my mother, but I started visiting with other people, you know, so just to let them know that they're not alone. 00:17:40 Speaker 1: Yeah, because a lot of people are there alone. 00:17:42 Speaker 5: They are into their nursing homes. 00:17:46 Speaker 3: So those are just that's just a few. That's just a part of it. But it is a very very very painful disease to see because it's like my mother's shell was in good shape to her mind to just be gone, and she just sit there. She got to the point where it's like she wasn't talking, but it's like if you came this way, if she would always move her mouth, always move her mouth, like you was about to feed. 00:18:12 Speaker 1: Her every time. 00:18:13 Speaker 3: Oh. So it was just different things. But each person is different. So you have some people that snap back and they start talking, but they kind of seen me. 00:18:21 Speaker 1: That was my grandmother. 00:18:23 Speaker 3: So you just have to remember the person, yes, and remember the moments, the precious moments and memories that you had with them beforehand. And he would bring things to my remembrance and we would laugh about it and it helped. It helped us be able to cope with it better. 00:18:39 Speaker 5: Right, That's beautiful And yeah, I know a lot of people deal with that, so I definitely wanted to touch on that and just see how we can help other people because sometimes people feel. 00:18:46 Speaker 1: Like they're alone in it. Yeah, when they're the ones giving. 00:18:49 Speaker 3: The care and then and you can feel very very long. 00:18:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, no for sure. Well, okay, the reason you're here. 00:19:00 Speaker 5: Right now album Yes, Live, Breathe, Fight, I wanted, I want. I'm an artist too, I want to know what the creative process was like for this album. 00:19:08 Speaker 3: This process for me was I kind of said, it's funny, but it's kind of like how Taylor Swift has talked about her life. Yes, this album, I talked about my life of like the different challenges that we were dealing with and facing, Like the first single. Working for me, some lot of things was happening in the core of like my family, and it put me in a different place that I never thought that I would be. And the enemy was just really raising his head up. But I was determined not to be distracted because it's like, right when we decided to do music, but it's like every time it's time for me to release music. Yes, I mean like it's the craziest thing. So it was really really hard. So I had during the year. I was like, Lord, what do we need to talk about it? And I just started taking out taking notes for the last year and a half and I was just having little nuggets that I took to the producers to talk about. And working for me was like, even though the Lord comforted me with saying, even though you don't see me working, I'm working for you. I'm working in your behalf and even one song All Things. It's another song that's on there that the Lord can do all things, even though it may look crazy and rocky. Right now, it's like I was talking he can do all things. Then we were talking about carry On. It's another title. Then it's talking about live and then to live, Breathing Fight. It's like, even though it's happening to me, I gotta live because heaven is my destiny. I gotta breathe. I'm breathing every breath with purpose. And then I know I have a call and I know I have a purpose, and then I'm fighting and I'm gonna fight till I get the victory. So the Lord was just like, to me, this is stuff not only for me, but this could bless his people. So it's like, give me the direction of what to talk about. 00:21:00 Speaker 1: So live. 00:21:01 Speaker 3: It's like because a lot of things, I've never seen it so much in our community that I have now with the mental space that a lot of us are in, it's been really really heavy and a lot of the songs are just talking That's what I'm saying from the inside out, that I'm making sure that my mental space is good, that I'm keeping that I'm having peace of mind, so enough peace to just when I lay down to night that I could rest, that I can rest in Him. And God has just really given us as a couple, even through the things, through the challenges that we were facing in the company with the family, just different things that I'm with you. I have not forsaken you. That you know everything that you're asking for, I'm here. And it's like soon as some things changed, it's like the largest start just stirring up, just different things with things was just coming working if I behaved in our favor for our good and I just I'm just so excited about each of the songs. One song on there is called Big Facts. But what happened is the Lord was like, you have to examine yourself. Look in the mirror, take a look at yourself, face the facts about you because a lot of times, a lot of us are trying to say to other people, Okay, well you need to and you need to when a lot of times the work needs to begin with you. So the Lord let me know in this album the process of it to work on you and then I can do the work around you. So you know, just listen, just hear what's being said. A lot of times it's not always to respond, but just take your time in what your response is going to be, because a lot of times my response is like what I did? You know, we just tend to just go there. And the Lord has really given me, gave me a lot of peace, even though I was did a lot of weeping when I was recording it. I was crying just even talking the song through. Yeah, and uh, you know, it's like, but I gotta but I gotta finish, I gotta complete the work. So it's just yes, it's very therapeutic, so I think, you know, but a lot of the responses it's out now and a lot of the response that I got back as people saying these songs feel like affirmation and it's really helping me. It's on. One song is called Power, is talking about the power of God that sometimes we forget that if we cast our cares on him, he got out the power. Yes, he got He's in control, so he's handling the things, all the things that you're trying to do and to trust him. One song is Lord, I Trust You. So each title is it is hitting on issues and situations that a lot of us are dealing with absolutely So I came from a real place. 00:23:47 Speaker 5: He did a real, real place talent. Thank you so much, guys. Up next we have joined us, David Man. 00:23:54 Speaker 2: Yes see, that's why I become when we are, it's like I'm not, I'm not, I'm either. 00:23:59 Speaker 3: Miss That's so true that I'm okay with it. 00:24:04 Speaker 6: I'm going with either way. I get to be next to her, Yes, I love it. 00:24:09 Speaker 1: Thank you both for coming to join me. David. 00:24:11 Speaker 5: I know you and Tamla have a lot going on. You actually help with her music, you help with everything. You actually wanted to text me and say, hey, we need to get on keeping by the. 00:24:18 Speaker 1: Sweetieh's strung this this man is everything. 00:24:23 Speaker 2: What my initial text was, how proud and how happy I am, Just like I'm just so happy because you know, couldn't happen to a better person. 00:24:32 Speaker 6: So then I was like, you know, why don't we just bring tam on? Like what, Yeah, she'll come. Yeah. 00:24:39 Speaker 1: So thank you for absolutely no. I appreciate it. 00:24:42 Speaker 5: So I've known you both, I guess personally since twenty nineteen, right before COVID hit, when Tyler was doing the Farewell tour and I was a costume designer for that. 00:24:52 Speaker 1: So that's and I really got to know you both. And actually it was. 00:24:55 Speaker 6: Before that you didn't say much. You'd just be sitting there like this. 00:24:59 Speaker 3: But you still when we still for it was still when you do wardrobe. 00:25:02 Speaker 1: Was still yeah, just laid back in the cut. 00:25:07 Speaker 6: That's what I like about you. 00:25:08 Speaker 2: Just laid back in the cut and waited your turn, waited like when your time came, you were like, let's rock. 00:25:16 Speaker 5: But what I love about you both is that you guys are exactly who you are on camera in real life, because you know, sometimes you meet people and it's like, dang, disappointed you wasn't. 00:25:25 Speaker 1: Who I thought. 00:25:28 Speaker 6: You mean? 00:25:30 Speaker 1: Yes, oh Mygrantes. 00:25:32 Speaker 6: Yeah, it happened to her big time. That was I won't say the name. 00:25:37 Speaker 3: It was just I would. 00:25:40 Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say. 00:25:42 Speaker 2: With this one particular person, she grew up idolized. 00:25:45 Speaker 1: Wow. 00:25:46 Speaker 2: And so this is when we were Kirk Franklin in the family, We're doing our live recording. This particular person is gonna be the special guest of our live recording. 00:25:58 Speaker 1: We keep it prize got missed, and. 00:26:02 Speaker 2: So she was like so hyped and geeked and it's like, oh my god, I get to finally meet my oh my god, hey and it was like hey, and she was devastated. So I think that's why we treat people like we treat you. Never know what a positive smile, a hug he's gonna do for somebody, And so that's why we're like we are. 00:26:23 Speaker 1: Oh man, I love it. 00:26:25 Speaker 5: So you too, like for me, y'all are epitome of relationship goals. I just love y'all. I had you on my live show. We talked about relationships. You guys were so transparent and funny was great. We had a ball, yes, but I want to dive more into your relationship and how you guys have with still the test of time, with the ebbs and flows of relationships. 00:26:45 Speaker 1: I know, I just as an older woman. 00:26:47 Speaker 5: I talked to my parents and they're like, girl, yeah we've been I'm like. 00:26:51 Speaker 1: I thought it was perfect all the time. 00:26:54 Speaker 5: No, yes, I want to know, like, what are some things you guys have gone through and how you made it through those those things? 00:27:00 Speaker 3: You know? 00:27:00 Speaker 2: I always tell people, Yeah, we're loving, we kind, we love each other all that, but one thing we are most is. 00:27:06 Speaker 6: We're working progress. 00:27:08 Speaker 2: Because we're working progress, we know that things are changing. 00:27:12 Speaker 6: She's not the same woman. I'm married at twenty one, I'm not the same. 00:27:15 Speaker 2: Man at twenty one. We were babies, and so we understand. I understand she's not the same. 00:27:24 Speaker 6: Yeah, we did. We grew up with each other. 00:27:26 Speaker 2: We literally grew up with each other because there were some times where we were. 00:27:30 Speaker 6: Like, you're not good, You're not a good person. And so we grew up with each other. 00:27:39 Speaker 2: And you know, I realized at thirty five she was different, forty five she's different. We're fifty eight. Now we're getting to ride and the result we're now living the result of. 00:27:50 Speaker 6: All of that. 00:27:51 Speaker 2: And so, you know, how we survive in this industry is accountability. 00:27:57 Speaker 6: A lot of times people don't have account ability. 00:28:00 Speaker 2: Simple accountability will take you a long way, you know, because sometimes she'll check me. 00:28:05 Speaker 6: Like babe, and when I do hear what. 00:28:09 Speaker 3: I say, say, man, my home, he was like you you shouldn't have. 00:28:16 Speaker 7: Then I was like, oh, even like now as we go in our in our late fifties, and we we'll have a different challenge now minopause, Yeah, and. 00:28:31 Speaker 3: Put out streets. 00:28:34 Speaker 1: Right. 00:28:36 Speaker 6: We realized, like that's a thing. 00:28:39 Speaker 2: You know, there are some couples out there that that go yeah late in life, that you said, how is somebody getting divorced thirty five forty years into their marriage? 00:28:48 Speaker 3: That has to be it. But I think what helped us David when I start, you know, he could see the start going through the change. 00:28:56 Speaker 6: We start, what you noticed say it out your mouth. 00:29:03 Speaker 3: He was like, damn you go. I was like, no, I'm not, I'm not. But it's like he actually sit and read up and research menopause. So he came back and he understood it more. And I think that's what happened with a lot of our friends that have divorced, is the man didn't realize. 00:29:25 Speaker 6: What we think that we think they just want to be that way. You just want to. 00:29:30 Speaker 3: Act like it's such a crushing feeling, y'all. It's because it's like you could be happy. Then all of a sudden, it's like sadness or it's almost like not just the heat that comes from it, but a sadness comes over your body and it's like you're really not because I'm like, I was just fine. I was on the bottom of the floor. 00:29:53 Speaker 6: You can be sitting. 00:29:55 Speaker 2: Y'all, y'all, kissing and making love and then all of a sudden she put. 00:29:58 Speaker 6: A knife on you. 00:29:59 Speaker 3: Now that's not. 00:30:08 Speaker 6: No, I'm just kidding nobody, but. 00:30:12 Speaker 3: It's it's just but it's something. It's it's a roller coaster dealing with menopause. And the thing is is we really don't talk about it a lot. My first lady in my church, I was just with the print. I was like, Lord, I gotta be before people, in front of people. People are approaching me in some days. 00:30:31 Speaker 6: You know. 00:30:32 Speaker 3: Even my daughter she was like, oh Mama, if your eyes could burn you set somebody one was. I was like, I say, for real, She was like, yeah, telling your prey. Now, Lord make me sweet because because it's like I don't want it's like, you know, not even for those who are watching today. It's like in case of a day, come by and I don't greet you as nice. I just want us to know as women. Just like when you have you think having your monthly is rough, menopause is say ten times worse than this. 00:31:13 Speaker 8: I mean not that I agree, I'm just agreeing with you, but but it is we can be rough, and all of us deal with a different different ways. 00:31:25 Speaker 1: I think it's there now, Like just so I'm like, for the month but you have to. 00:31:30 Speaker 2: Have somebody because it's a When she said I read up and I literally read an entire book. 00:31:37 Speaker 1: Oh wow, educated yourself menopause. 00:31:40 Speaker 2: Yes, because I understood that. I thought it's it's a chemical imbalance. It is And I told her, and like I was telling her earlier today, I said, one of the worst things you could tell a woman with menopause is you got me. 00:32:01 Speaker 3: My head ready radiator overheated. 00:32:05 Speaker 6: Like nobody got got no menopause. You the one got menopause. 00:32:10 Speaker 3: But my doctor told me. 00:32:11 Speaker 7: I ain't in when your doctor ignorant and don't know what she's talking about. 00:32:15 Speaker 1: I see it. It's funny. 00:32:18 Speaker 5: I'm I had forty two on Friday and thank you. But around forty I started like sweating randomly, Like it was just like I would get hot, and I carry this fan with me everywhere, like because I get at any moment, I can just like get hot and I can get excited about something to get warm. And Tyler makes fun of me because I always have that fan and I'm always asking for ice. 00:32:40 Speaker 1: Yea, I was like a bucket of ice from my water to keep the ice cold, and a fan at all on set, they. 00:32:50 Speaker 3: Know they ain't got to have no ice. Water was like, yes, I do. Yeah, but it's that's one thing. See, well that's that helps me because I didn't know the other people ice. But I'm asked for I Well, I you said, yes, I just need a couple of ice. So that is so true. 00:33:08 Speaker 1: So I'm not alone. 00:33:10 Speaker 6: We've definitely learned. 00:33:12 Speaker 2: We've had to learn, especially in everything that comes with this business, to make sure that we're solid, we're tight, and just it's a lot of stuff coming. I mean, you know, you knowing this game, you know, you have guys always trying to you know, what. 00:33:27 Speaker 6: You look while you look, try to get them. 00:33:30 Speaker 2: Dms like saying, say especially when you made it know that you know I'm yeah, I'm a Christian girl. They play on that, Oh I'm looking for a night the Christian girl that love the Lord you. 00:33:43 Speaker 6: Look like. 00:33:45 Speaker 2: And as Christians out here, you really got to be ready for, you know, stuff that goes on. 00:33:51 Speaker 6: She has prison ministries that be writing her. 00:33:53 Speaker 1: The prison prison boys. Oh my goodness, they love our shows. That's all they watching. And I was at the Minnesota game. 00:34:01 Speaker 5: I had to sing the anthem I'm walking across the street and this guy had a mask on. 00:34:04 Speaker 1: He goes Fatima and I was like, yeah, he goes man. I used to watch you every week in prison. 00:34:10 Speaker 2: I was like, what, Yes, they talking about how they want to. I'm like, let me tell you, you ain't going to It's good, you ain't gonna get none of it. 00:34:25 Speaker 1: Oh, I'm not. 00:34:25 Speaker 6: Supposed to sell this. 00:34:27 Speaker 2: This is. 00:34:32 Speaker 6: You better just keep particizing. 00:34:34 Speaker 1: Yes, that's how you got so funny. You mentioned that we deal with a lot in this industry. 00:34:40 Speaker 5: I know for me as a Christian woman navigating the industry, and I'm pretty new in this space, but I know that there are deal breakers and boundaries that I have as you guys have navigated it, what have been some some some deal breakers and some boundaries that you set for yourselves within the industry. 00:34:58 Speaker 3: Well, like me because of especially with being in gospel music and just trying to be an example. We're not perfect, but you know some some things like have been presented to us, like in the script, like what they want us to curse? And I was like, that's not that's just not where I'm going. I can't say that for anyone else. 00:35:19 Speaker 1: You don't cuss, you don't say no curse words that is so good. 00:35:23 Speaker 3: Nigga is my cousin for years, how I have tried to give He was like taming to tell me I never cossed each other, y'all got I was like, no, we don't talk to each other like that. But when I was younger, between eighteen twenty, I had I had it bad because you know, my mama was straight coaching. 00:35:54 Speaker 2: Twenty because I didn't need because that was a deal break. I don't reason I on cussings because I'm so holy and all that. 00:36:02 Speaker 6: My mama used to cuss a lot. 00:36:03 Speaker 2: So I just never been a custoing like you will probably go be around the years and never hear me cuss. 00:36:10 Speaker 1: That's amazing. 00:36:10 Speaker 2: But and so I didn't like ladies that just need a lot of cussing. 00:36:15 Speaker 3: But I was good at it. I know how to put them together. Listen, and I mean put them together? 00:36:22 Speaker 1: Right? 00:36:22 Speaker 6: Did you not? Did you know how to fight? 00:36:24 Speaker 9: I didn't have to have brothers answer no, I didn't have to fight. 00:36:32 Speaker 6: You could say, but you can't fight. 00:36:35 Speaker 3: But I but I didn't. 00:36:36 Speaker 1: I just never was. 00:36:38 Speaker 3: So I mean after that in our relationship now, I mean I have said a couple of words when my just talking to my kids saying they was like, Mama, you don't know how just jokeingm. 00:36:52 Speaker 1: I just don't like let me hear. 00:36:55 Speaker 3: That's so sad for somebody that just won't you top. 00:36:57 Speaker 5: Period give me what. I was like, No, yeah, mine, my boundary is nudity. Like that's one thing I just won't There's certain body parts I'm not willing. 00:37:15 Speaker 3: Yeah everybody, Yeah, but I will cut, Yes, you will cut. 00:37:21 Speaker 1: I will cut. I got a custom spirit I gotta work on. 00:37:25 Speaker 3: He's still working on. I'm still working. 00:37:27 Speaker 1: He's still working on that. 00:37:28 Speaker 6: Don't make me better than you because I don't cuss. Let me tell you all. I will fight, but I will in the face in the minute. 00:37:38 Speaker 3: But I'm working to pray for him. 00:37:41 Speaker 2: The Lord is working on me just because I don't do that. 00:37:45 Speaker 6: No, I don't have something again, Yes. 00:37:47 Speaker 5: Because we look, I feel like the Christian community will judge you. 00:37:51 Speaker 1: We make certain sins worse than others just because that's all. 00:37:56 Speaker 6: You ain't gonna go to jail for doing that. I can go to jail for mine. 00:37:59 Speaker 2: So right, So I've learned to just put these hands on in my pocket and just be like this. 00:38:06 Speaker 3: You know what all have to come ourself. It's like, but you know when yes, that's my thing is. It's like some people like I just can't stop on. Yes you can because you really know. Sometimes certain places that you're you know it, don't. 00:38:18 Speaker 1: Even don't even come Oh you're right. 00:38:21 Speaker 3: But then there's certain places you step and you'd be. 00:38:23 Speaker 9: Like, you know, you just I'll just come out easily, you know, when it's like something that we all can work on, but that. 00:38:36 Speaker 6: I wouldn't slap somebody that's like six. 00:38:38 Speaker 1: Five and three hundred pounds. 00:38:40 Speaker 6: Like I somebody was five eleven. Man, No, I wouldn't. 00:38:46 Speaker 1: Take your bat. 00:38:48 Speaker 6: That's right, But it's good. 00:38:50 Speaker 5: You know what I love about you too, that you guys can laugh and be serious. I've seen you both working and focused, but I love how you guys can laugh or there moments you said, sometimes he just do too much to me, David. 00:39:01 Speaker 3: It's hard for me to be mad at him. I can imagine because she'll tell you I do, and I just want to go just I don't get mad at For the record, Yeah right, I don't get mad. Don't you You're lie? You straight up you straight up line because you do. I've been telling me so you do get mad at me. I know you get upset. You're not mad, but maybe you get upset with me, because. 00:39:27 Speaker 6: When did you hear me get mad? 00:39:28 Speaker 3: When did you see me get madoul? Because your eyes will get read and it's like you're kind of going to like not saying I just do like this. 00:39:37 Speaker 6: I'm not saying to you nothing, but I don't never be like. 00:39:41 Speaker 3: You don't do that. But you're just going to the com like, Okay, I'm just. 00:39:46 Speaker 1: Correct yourself. 00:39:47 Speaker 6: But that's upset speak. 00:39:50 Speaker 3: Let me hear you say, you just like you be doing me. 00:39:52 Speaker 7: Hear me here you said, yeah, never get mad. 00:39:59 Speaker 3: But I do get upset with him, and I'm just like, she can let me have it time. 00:40:05 Speaker 6: When that when that mental pause kicked in. We riding in the car one time and we said. 00:40:10 Speaker 3: I'm trying to come and tip. 00:40:11 Speaker 2: On my show. 00:40:14 Speaker 6: We're riding the car and you know, the whole yelling thing. 00:40:19 Speaker 2: You're gonna yell at me. We can't talk. We're not gonna communicate. It's just not the way we communicating. 00:40:23 Speaker 6: Yeah, well, she going out. 00:40:25 Speaker 2: If you're gonna yell at me, we're not talking, and why are you yelling? She gave the dumbest excuse ever known to men. 00:40:32 Speaker 3: It was not dumb. 00:40:33 Speaker 6: It was there. She said, I'm yelling at you because I'm a soprano. She knew at the time that was a dumb answer. She's gonna stop. You knew you can just yell at I just go. Yeah. 00:40:54 Speaker 3: I was at the top. I was at the top of my brain because I I can get it louder. So we have some good times. So you know, our journey, we've had rough patches, but our journey, he's made me happier than he's made me sad. So it's really been it's been a wonderful ride. You know, we are working progress. But our job and our call is to we know, is to hang tight, hang together, and to just show other people that we can do this thing. We know that's what we're called to do. And it's like that is what we're working toward, to not be perfect, but to just give encouragement that it can't happen and you can be happy in this thing. 00:41:46 Speaker 2: And even when when those times come come how to recover because we've had to recover. 00:41:52 Speaker 6: There's been some times when it's like, wow, this is shaky. 00:41:55 Speaker 5: I want to talk about that because a lot of times I feel like we anetize and glamorized relationships. 00:42:01 Speaker 1: Like yours, where we're like, oh my god, that's exactly. 00:42:04 Speaker 5: What I want, but we don't know how to recover when things get because it's gonna happen. 00:42:10 Speaker 1: Can you like share a moment where you had to really recover from something our our. 00:42:15 Speaker 3: Want relationship that well, one point that we talk about is one of our daughters. We didn't find out that she was ours till she was five years old. 00:42:24 Speaker 1: Wow. 00:42:24 Speaker 3: So when David, that was a really hard But we had been married, but I knew of the girls. 00:42:33 Speaker 6: Let me get because we shared this on the Breakfast Club. 00:42:35 Speaker 2: Somebody say he cheated on her before we got married, go back and only go to some party commitment. 00:42:44 Speaker 3: Yes, so it is so funny, but that was really the hardest because our relationship we're blended family. We have two together. He had two he said from a previous argument, and we raised my niece. So when he came and told me, because they came and served in papers that he had to go to court and all that kind of stuff. So when he found out he told me, and I was like, I don't know, because you know, the first baby. We've been best friends. We started our friends. I was there at the hospital with him when she was born. I mean stayed the whole twenty one hours with him. 00:43:22 Speaker 6: Now mine, she wasn't my girlfriend. She was my friend who was there just happened to be with men. People got it so mixed up and just go. I told him, go read the book Us against the World and you'll get all of this. 00:43:36 Speaker 3: Story, each part. But the thing is is I I loved him. I sit there as a friend. And then once we got married and he, you know, came with the news about the second daughter. I was like, I don't know if I can do this, and you know, the mama was not the best. I'm just gonna be honest. We wouldn't in like the best of friends, even though I knew her. Even before he knew her. 00:44:01 Speaker 1: I knew. 00:44:02 Speaker 2: And it's because we were all we were all young and figure out in. 00:44:06 Speaker 3: The same neighborhoods. It's just it's just funny how life goes, how even you can be knowing the same people and not even know that these that person was connected. Yes, absolutely, so that's kind of how that happened. But it was really rough for me. To accept her at the. 00:44:25 Speaker 2: Moment, and I felt, when you back up her deal was when she got married, she said I want a guy kids, and then because I didn't want to have to be dealing with that, yeah, and so here I had one yes. 00:44:40 Speaker 6: And then she go to work and come back home with another one from work. 00:44:46 Speaker 10: Come on, I got she already big and pot trained, like what and. 00:44:56 Speaker 2: Just that was a moment that our marriage was like one of my biggest fears in life. One of my biggest fears in life is losing my family. And so for her to say I'm not gonna be able to do this, setting into like a tail spind of like, oh. 00:45:13 Speaker 3: My god, he says, leave me. So and then he sent me down and he started talking to me and he was like, I just want you to know that it's always He did the thing like this where he separated and he was like, it's me and you, and then it's them, it's everybody else. So he said, I'll never put you out there where you have to make the decision, or I'm gonna make the decisions them over you. He says, always gonna be us and then them. 00:45:41 Speaker 6: Yeah, I love it so. 00:45:42 Speaker 3: And by him reassuring me, just for those the listeners and watchers. He reassured me that I was his number one and that has always gave me comfort, and he's always done that. He's never showed me anything different. He's the same. Love has always been there, And if anything went down with the girls and their moms, he was like, you gotta talk to me, you need to It's like he was all we were involved in everything. 00:46:11 Speaker 2: Just so people don't get it twisted, because I know some people I read in the comments got to twist. 00:46:16 Speaker 6: It's not that my daughters were you know, we were. 00:46:20 Speaker 3: I was fine with the kids. 00:46:22 Speaker 2: I know the order of this because my daughters and they're gone in with their own families, and if we haven't been a solid force and been a force that were together, then that thing would have broken up. 00:46:33 Speaker 6: And guess we would have been by themself, daddy. 00:46:36 Speaker 2: So I had to make sure we were solid before we could even deal with those So yeah, so it wasn't that my daughters, you know, Oh he picked this, He picked over his. I just made sure I know the divine order that God wanted. I made sure that we were together then I. 00:46:52 Speaker 3: Could and so that that's that's one of a great hard part, a hard one for us. And even when it came to if I can say this quickly, you know we're moving. When it came to the parents, because sometimes when a lady, when a girl marries a man and then he has his mom, sometimes with the mom, she feels like you're taking a son. So he had to even establish that in real life. And he stood in the place she was like, look, you were the first woman in my life. She's the last lady in my life. So it's like he has really made everybody understand where our positioning is. Yes, without picking and choosing. 00:47:35 Speaker 5: What you're having to do it. Yeah, a lot of times women can feel alone in that. Yeah, when a man doesn't step up and say, hey, she's my number one and this is my priority. 00:47:44 Speaker 1: Everything else has a fall line and be there. 00:47:46 Speaker 3: To take care of you. 00:47:47 Speaker 2: This is that is something really with me and that we have to we got to bridge that. 00:47:52 Speaker 6: Gap, address addressed, to bridge the. 00:47:56 Speaker 2: Gap and address it. It's not going anywhere. She's not going anywhere. I mean, he's not going anywhere. So like I like she said, I literally said, listen, both of y'all, don't you say nothing to me about her. 00:48:07 Speaker 6: Don't you say nothing to me. She's the first woman that was in my life and this is going to be the last woman in my life. I'll have to figure this out now, fight it out. 00:48:15 Speaker 2: No, No, And and they kind of like, wow, okay, let's figure this out. 00:48:24 Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's one to lose you either. That's real. 00:48:28 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:48:29 Speaker 1: I love that. Now. 00:48:30 Speaker 5: You guys are together a lot, and I like my space. So I want to know how do y'all find time because you're all you're always together. 00:48:37 Speaker 1: Do you need a long time or y'all just around each other? 00:48:41 Speaker 3: Yeah, because I'll go get my nails, dumb or I'll just go sit, go shopping on something. But I do I have to have it, he says he doesn't because David is a homebody. Okay, but me, I'll take off her. He was like, where you going. I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that. He said, I'll be here when you get back. So I do. I do do the separation thing for a minute, to just go through my nails feet, you know. 00:49:07 Speaker 1: A lot, a lot sometimes he can't be, but you can. 00:49:11 Speaker 6: Be a lot too. 00:49:12 Speaker 3: I'm gone, but it's not. But it's to the degree of not it's not overwhelming, but I just just want that time just for myself to gather my own thoughts. Even sometimes I go maybe sitting to U two hours. It's just I just going there and I want it dark and I just want. 00:49:32 Speaker 1: It to be me. 00:49:33 Speaker 2: But we have to hear from each other every two hours. 00:49:36 Speaker 1: Oh that's good. 00:49:37 Speaker 6: Yeah, I have to know that you're good. Okay, you're good, all right? Do you think? 00:49:42 Speaker 3: And if I miss it, like, what's the problem? 00:49:45 Speaker 6: Two hours? It's just to know that you're good, You're okay, you all right? 00:49:50 Speaker 1: That's like that. 00:49:51 Speaker 5: I'm with that because I do feel like sometimes like if I'm dating someone and they don't check on me, it's like, at least just know that I'm okay, Like if we haven't gotten the talk because we're busy. 00:50:00 Speaker 1: At the end of the in the beginning of the day and at the end. 00:50:02 Speaker 5: Of the day, at least, like make sure I'm good because anything can happen. 00:50:05 Speaker 6: You just never know. 00:50:08 Speaker 3: Each like every everywhere you know, depending on you know, to make sure in case of something happened, I know where to start looking for you, or I know what she says she was gonna be, so she should be in this vicinity. 00:50:18 Speaker 6: Yes, Like for me, I don't. 00:50:20 Speaker 2: And I just recently started doing myself time when I went to therapy. That was one of the first things he said, one of the first things that you have to. 00:50:28 Speaker 6: Learn to do. 00:50:29 Speaker 2: And when he said this, I was like, what, you got to learn to be more selfish. 00:50:33 Speaker 6: And I was like, huh, I say selfish. 00:50:36 Speaker 2: I can't be selfish, and so you got to learn to be more selfish. 00:50:40 Speaker 6: You've given yourself to. 00:50:41 Speaker 2: So many people you don't have anything else to give. And I was like, well, how am I going to be selfish? And you know the weirdest thing. I went to a Chick fil A that day and I usually get my food to go so I can go and I sit at the table and I call her like a little kid. 00:50:58 Speaker 6: I'm eating by myself. 00:51:03 Speaker 3: Growing up. 00:51:05 Speaker 6: And it's just and that's just I had to learn. 00:51:08 Speaker 2: We bought this place and I went out and spent the night by myself. 00:51:11 Speaker 6: That that's a big thing. 00:51:13 Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never stayed by myself, wow, And so it was a big thing for me to go out and spend the night by myself. 00:51:18 Speaker 6: And I was like, we bought a wrench. 00:51:21 Speaker 3: It's like it's getaway place. 00:51:22 Speaker 1: That's amazing. 00:51:23 Speaker 6: And I was like, Okay, that's enough. You need to come. Bring this warm flesh back by dad, bring me that I do it too long. 00:51:32 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so good. 00:51:33 Speaker 5: You touched on therapy and mental health is something I love to talk about. 00:51:37 Speaker 1: I just started therapy I got. 00:51:39 Speaker 5: I started during COVID and it was I wasn't taking it serious because I didn't really trust the therapist, so I wasn't being honest with her. 00:51:46 Speaker 1: So I'm like, this isn't working. 00:51:47 Speaker 5: And then I tried it again and I started opening up and it really started helping. 00:51:51 Speaker 3: Another therapy, it's a second, it was a different lake O. 00:51:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, that really made me feel safe. 00:51:55 Speaker 3: And I think that's what a lot of people we need to realize. You may not be comfortable with that person. After you get there, you don't have to stay. Yeah, you can. You can pick and choose where you want to go. 00:52:06 Speaker 1: And it's right, yeah without all the saying, but it is. 00:52:10 Speaker 5: It is very intimate because you're like tell them everything, right, But like, at what point did you realize, you know, I do need to go talk to somebody because a lot of us, especially as we get older, we get more stuck in our ways. We don't feel like we need to talk to any more like you got it figured out at one point where you guys like you know what, I do need to talk to somebody. 00:52:25 Speaker 2: I think for me, when I found myself after COVID, I had given so much of myself and mine wasn't the usual suspects. The reason I found myself use your usual suspects as finances and your marriages in trouble. We were in the strongest place that we been, but I'd given so much. I make sure she was good, make sure the kids are good, make sure my mom, make sure everybody was around me was good. And I sit and looked one, what. 00:52:51 Speaker 6: Have you done for you? 00:52:53 Speaker 2: And I you know, when you have to start like, well, you know, I bought a truck. It's just like nothing for yourself. And so I went and sat and, like I say, he was just like, you have got to take care of you. And I finally broke down and told her. I said, I think I'm depressed. You noticed I'm sitting in my office and I couldn't even create. Usually I'm creating something for something else and just putting you. 00:53:20 Speaker 6: Know, And I couldn't in my brain. I was just blocked. 00:53:23 Speaker 2: And I finally told her and it was just like, first of all, telling her was a big release, and it. 00:53:30 Speaker 3: Was just like me, I can imagine because I was like, the reason why I say crushing guys is I didn't notice it. I didn't see it. It's like I kept asking him, is he okay? And David's answers cool and good, So I'm like, you sure, Yeah, I'm good. So it's like I said, I was asking you and you kept telling me you were good. I said, why not just tell me then? 00:53:58 Speaker 6: But he was like, because that's the answer, superman. Give I'm good. I got the I'm good, leave my camp alone and let me do what I do. 00:54:06 Speaker 2: You know. 00:54:07 Speaker 1: And uh. 00:54:07 Speaker 3: And then I didn't see that that I didn't see through that he wasn't okay. So that made me really weep and really just I just started asking for forgiveness because I was like, I missed it, you know, I mean, you know, God forbid, you just did something to yourself and I didn't. I didn't see it. So my thing is now, y'all, if somebody or you feel like they're not in that place, just don't be afraid to just go back and double check, go back and double check on that person because they really may need to get that hug, or to just have you just sit there and just listen. 00:54:48 Speaker 6: You will be surprised. 00:54:50 Speaker 2: What a hug just like a minute, will do we do that? 00:54:58 Speaker 6: It's just a hug. 00:54:59 Speaker 2: And I told you I'm hugging you and making I'm hugging you with my heart. And once I started doing that, I'm just like, hey, yeah, I sit and I actually hug and doing that. You will you will be surprised. 00:55:16 Speaker 3: It's like it's like if it's like the weight falls off your body. It's like you can actually feel the way it's not. You know how sometimes if you get a good cry out, it's like you feel ten pounds. Like it's a hug does the same thing. And sometimes some people be like, I don't want one, but they really, they really do. They do. 00:55:35 Speaker 1: They need it? 00:55:35 Speaker 2: They need it. 00:55:36 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:55:37 Speaker 5: My therapist tells me, she goes when you're getting a shower in the morning, She's like, take time to hug yourself. Oh that's yeah, yeah, because she's like a lot of times we don't love on ourselves because we're so busy loving on everyone else. So that's something I try to take a few minutes or not a minute, but like a few moments to really just sit in like I love you, I love you, yeah. 00:55:59 Speaker 2: And it's just that's you know, once I realized and just found a safe space and my therapist after that, I pay you to talk to me like this. 00:56:11 Speaker 6: Why you got to talk to me like this? But you gotta have a therapist that's gonna be honest. 00:56:17 Speaker 2: Absolutely, And you know, he was telling me, part of your family's problem is you, and I was like, I ain't coming back. 00:56:26 Speaker 5: I want to hear this, but he was right. 00:56:30 Speaker 2: Part of the problem was with me is I'm a fixer. Sometimes she don't need me to. 00:56:35 Speaker 6: Fix, she just need me to listen. 00:56:38 Speaker 2: But she has to be careful what she says out of her mouth because the minute she says I'm gone. 00:56:46 Speaker 3: I was mentioning something idea and not necessarily make it come to fruitions that I wanted what I meant, but I just but I thank God for him, and that's I think. Also what really gripped my heart is because David notices I'm not gonna cry everything about me everything, and I miss it so much. I just I keep saying, Okay, I'm gona pay attention. He can go shave and he'll come back and say, you notice something like no. 00:57:28 Speaker 6: You mean to tell me you don't see that? 00:57:33 Speaker 3: Tell you messed up again. But he notices every I could change an eyebrow, like. 00:57:42 Speaker 6: He'd be like, oh, see why you drew that on it. You just got to put a swerve on it this time. 00:57:47 Speaker 3: But he knows everything, and it's just because you know. But it's just it hurts my feeling that because I'm not as alert as him. But I'm like, I see doctor. Maybe it's just not my character, but I'm just trying to do I think when it comes to relationships, y'all, we just need to always do better with each other. And I know that that's something that I'm working on. Even with communicating. You know, He's always been the great and over communicator and I haven't always been. But this last couple. 00:58:26 Speaker 6: Of years, boy, go look it upuations. 00:58:37 Speaker 3: I was like, I said, I am today, huh. But I'm just trying. I want to And I told him, even when it comes to the artistry, and even when it comes to being his wife and his friend, I just want to do better. I just want to be better as a you know, as a friend, as a mother aunt. I just I know we can't catch everything with everybody, but I just want to do better. That's why when it comes to being sweet, help me to be good, Lord, and not just to be able to help somebody, you know, just whenever that time is, to be able to catch it. 00:59:11 Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that, guys. Thank you so much for coming to sit with me, sitting with us now for sure. 00:59:18 Speaker 6: I'm sorry she was so low question. 00:59:20 Speaker 5: I know the girl, Let you go. Yeah, deserve to win. Quit fighting yourself and thinking that you're not good enough and that you don't deserve it, because you deserve to win if you put the time in. You don't put the work in. You deserve to have some good things. You deserve to have peace of mind and your heart, your spirit, and your body. So you deserve to win. You deserve it. 01:00:24 Speaker 6: God bless you, less, thank you, Oh I love y'all. 01:00:28 Speaker 1: Thank you so much. 01:00:34 Speaker 5: David and Tamilan never disappointed when it comes to dropping gems. One thing they broke down that really resonated was when they were talking about their relationship and when they were having troubles. David put his fingers up and he said, tam, when it comes to us, it's us and then everyone else. 01:00:49 Speaker 1: And I think that it's so poignant in. 01:00:51 Speaker 5: Relationships that when you are together and it seems like everything is coming against you, you have to put the two of you first.
