Speaker 1: You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio.

00:00:05
Speaker 2: Hey, that's us, Steve and opening must Wapo Covino, just a kid from Union, New Jersey representing the Onion. And that's Rich Davis. What's up man, Covino and Rich with Danny g superproducer in Iowa, Sam on the xylophone, the Glockanashpiel. Thank you guys for hanging out. We're live from the Fox Sports Radio studio. Remember you can catch us Monday through Friday five to seven on the East, two to four on the West. And if you really like us, you really like us. We have a Patreon Monday through Thursday where Rich is uncensored and unleashed. It's true. Get to hear all his crazy stories, all his perversion. What patreon dot com slash Covino and Rich that paints me out to be a mania. And of course we have over Promised, which is like a hybrid of both over Promises, a hybrid of what we do on Fox Sports and our Patreon. That's our bonus pod that's on Covino and Rich FSR Vino and Rich FSR on YouTube that's where you could see a streaming live right now and join the live chat so you could pretend like you're working and enjoin the fun with nature Boy and Wes and Steel and Stockton and Lisa. Everybody chiming in Chuck Hanson nineteen forty six. Everybody chiming in the feedback. I gotta say, nature Boy said, I hate on Philly. I do. I'm a New Yorker. Much love though Philly. I do hate on people that smell like kibachi though, Benny Hannah, I went last night, and to wrap up my thought, if you go out for one of these teppanyaki Benny Hannah hibachi type of knights, if you don't have a fun time, you're the problem. I really think that it is such an experience every time not cheap. You end up smelling like, you know, onion volcano when you get home, but that smill you have to immediately throw those clothes in the hamper.

00:01:58
Speaker 3: Yo, it's not cheap. As an understand.

00:02:00
Speaker 4: That's like you go there once a year, maybe twice, or somebody's birthday, or it.

00:02:04
Speaker 2: Was a family of four. What do you think it was family four?

00:02:07
Speaker 3: That's it's like sixty bucks a person.

00:02:10
Speaker 2: It was like it was like a little of the two hundred for a family of four. It wasn't it was a nice night out.

00:02:14
Speaker 3: I love them.

00:02:14
Speaker 2: They do the birthday songs. Oh, you gotta fake someone's birthday, right, I mean, Papa suck birthday it, Mama's suh your birthday. Sometimes I just birthday, Happy birthday to you. But I get it gone. Let's best if you don't have fun at that type of place. Onion volcano, beating heart? What are the other tricks? Coca cola, oh, Japanese Coca cola and may squeeze so I saw, I want you know what is this? Is this a crazy idea? I bought one of these from my backyard, one of these nice flat grills. And you gotta take a lesson. I'm thinking about taking lessons. I wonder if I took a few lessons, Like there's got to be a hibachi school. I want to I want you guys to come over and I want to shock to s out of you and just be like, guys, come in the backyard, be like, let's start flipping eggs and stuff. How long do you think that takes to learn? It's a lot of practice.

00:03:16
Speaker 5: I think I like an ASMR with that sound of like this the metal. Oh yeah, spatulate in their hill. There's something about that sound and like the food getting scooped up. It's like it's stray pleasing.

00:03:27
Speaker 2: It's always a little awkward though, with the mixed company, because then you pretend like your friends for that one hour with like random people that are sitting there. It's a great place to go with seven other people because eight people cover it's two on the end, four and then two. So if you have a party of eight, like two families, or you and a bunch of coworkers I grew Covino strangers that have bought you table, you get the wrong mix of people. It's like, oh, we're sitting these sitting with these weirdos. Yeah, Like the guy flips a piece of shrimp in his hat and no one cheers, Like who are these lame os? Get them out of my table. I don't want their face looking at mine when I'm enjoying this wonderful steak chicken combo. And I always tell the kids, like, you gotta clap when he does the onion volcano. And as I said yesterday, I think you got to drop that guy at twenty and like a very East Coast Guido style, the guy that cooks the hibachi for you, you have a little thank you man. Hey, that's big time bro? Who daddy stacks bro? But it's a nice night. So any others you want to throw before we get into uh some NFL. The question is, and here's my only complaint. Yeah, I know the entertainment is there with the chef, but there's never like, hey, can I put the is? Do you guys have the game on? There's no TV at those places ever, But I have a question, what censory overload do you need the show of? Because it's a fun atmosphere. It's not like you're at a stuffy, you know, high end restaurant. Go get away from that. You want to embrace like the show. I feel like that are you being pandering sports guy right now? You need a game on at the box? Every time I'm at one of those places, I definitely have my phone up watching like the Yankees or a fight or you know, wherever. You can't go out to dinner and not watch a game. Amosphere is also conducive to have the game on. What if it was on TV monitors but it was just more guys doing hibachi. They're just like, oh man, that sports guy at table six, he's got the skills. What do you prop? What do you prop your phone on the guy's hibachi hat.

00:05:27
Speaker 4: I don't want to sound insensitive here, but the location we have right down the street from us, Brenda and I took the family last year for a special occasion and a couple of tables, a couple of grills away with Stevie Wonder And I don't know if it was therefore well, I I told Brenda gave me a dirty look because I'm like, he's missing the show.

00:05:47
Speaker 2: No way, he's catching that zacchini.

00:05:49
Speaker 5: He's enjoying that as Mr Okay, all those clanging sounds, that was amazing.

00:05:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be frustrating. Everyone else is clapping and Cavi. You know what I've been He's enjoying it.

00:05:59
Speaker 3: Can you know what?

00:05:59
Speaker 2: I've been to? So many of these places, like even if we're away on a business trip, if there's one like down the box, like yo, you want to go do hibachi? I feel though sometimes if I get some like young dirty white guy, I feel like I'm robbed. I feel like the cultural experiences you're gonna say, it's like I feel that about and I could say this because I'm a half breed Voto local forever. Yeah. When like, uh, when Julio comes out and he's the cook, I'm like, God, come on, can't want you wants a Japanese Maybe.

00:06:28
Speaker 3: He was trained by the master.

00:06:29
Speaker 2: Of course, yes, I get it. He's a master hibachi chef. He's trained by the best. He's a black belt. I know, man, it's the best. The guy. I want a guy that looks like me. I want a guy that looks like that. Give me, give me something else that's a no fail. Where you go and you go, and it's like if someone doesn't have fun, they're the problem. So it's hey, bachi night. Wait so rich you're telling me you don't want Brad being your hibachi chef. I'm just saying like sometimes like, hey, I'm Brad, I am I'm course steak here, how do you like it cooked? Suck out? He Brad. Brad doesn't do a good onion volcano but here in La. Yeah, you're gonna get that. You can say the same about me after I learned these skills. Okay, no fail. Right. The sound of the sound of those spatulas on the grill, What are the other automatic no fails in life, where if you take your family or a date and they don't have fun, they're not entertained. They're the problem. So this is an automatic ho dramatic I got one here, and these are rules we've lived by for years. Rich Hibachi is like a great date spot, great family spot where you're almost guaranteed to have a good time. If not, something's not cool, something's not right. So Hibachi knight for sure. Yeah, Like, who's not entertained. I'm like a six year old kid, Like, give me the hat. I want the whole experience. I love that stuff. I love when it's so much fun of me, it's so much fun. It's a no fail. Comedy shows, yeah, yeah, If you can't chuckle at chuckles, something's wrong with you. Even if the comics are bad, there's funny in them. A few drinks they force you to drink, you're out and about, you're already intoxicated. So I just feel like, even if you go to a comedy club and no one's really that funny, the funny is in the fact that no one was funny. Like it's hard to go to a comedy club and be like, man, not really stunk, because even if it's stunk the funnies in Oh my God, how bad were the comics? You might not do it that often. But if you're going out to a comedy show and that person you're with is not bringing a laugh or two, man, you're with the wrong person.

00:08:34
Speaker 4: I have one, and I know could cost money and there's some lines involved. But once you get inside, if you can't have fun inside an amusement park, you're the problem.

00:08:43
Speaker 2: I agree with you, absolutely. Yeah, I don't like rides.

00:08:49
Speaker 4: Like at Disneyland, you see some here and there because most of the people in there having fun, but you see some people you know they got dragged into the park.

00:08:57
Speaker 2: But even if you don't like rides, right was like my mom growing up, she always stood by the strollers or what like, come on, mom, you know, like if you're one of those, there's still something right that for you to do, like at least enjoy the atmosphere, the parades, the food. What are those things called those pineapple things? A dole enjoy doll whip. Stop complaining, Yeah, don't be a dull whip. Yeah, don't be a dull whip. Joy a dole whip, Enjoy a dole whip. Like Sam said, so what are some other automatics some other no fails. I disagree with Chuck Chuck hit us. Somebody goes concerts because if you get drag to a concert of a genre you don't like. I got dragged like a hippie concert once where it was like a bunch of stoners and like a gem band like Rich and I other. We ended up at the we had to do it for work. We ended up at the Rothberry Music Festival Michigan. In Michigan. It was a bunch of stinky hippies, stinky hippies with these sticks where they were hitting something back and forth. I saw more hairy armpits that day than I ever signed up. What do they call those, like the jeck stick or something whatever it was, I nerd stick? Yeah, like and whatnots an issue with your own nerves. Concerts are fun, but if it's a concert of a genre or people that are not your type of people still memorable. That was so many years ago we're still talking about it. But uh yeah, like you need to like, you need to vibe with the artists a little bit.

00:10:19
Speaker 5: Did they smell like Benny Hannah? Those people No, they smell like musty.

00:10:23
Speaker 2: No, they smell like old weed and like and like incense, like college dorm, like a nineteen ninety eight college dorman. Yeah, a little mix of Trulli oil and ass is what they smell. Like. What are the no fails? Me? Give me anymore? So? Comedy club boxing? All right? I have a question, and yes this is a tie in because I am thinking, like, you know, events, no failed dates, things like that, what out of all the four major sports or event like, which is the most fun for the casual like date, non fan just trying to have a good time. Is it baseball base If you're a courtside basketball that's a that's a statement. Well I think, uh, the sport I like the least is the most fun live basketball? Hockey?

00:11:09
Speaker 4: Oh really, you you stand by that because you are not paying attention to what I I go to one LA Kings game a year with my buddy Scott.

00:11:18
Speaker 2: He has tickets and he brings me once a year, Thank you, Scott, and I'll go and in that moment I'm like, yeah, this is awesome. And then I go home and I'm like, all right, I'm not really watching hockey, but I'll I'll go once a year, and I think basketball is fun. And to be honest, the sports I like the least are the ones I have fun going in person. I'm NFL is my number one. I think other than like once a year, like guys trip, going to an NFL game live, you miss so much that you don't see like better on Football is such a great television sport. You're just there for the atmosphere. You're there for the fun and hanging with your buzz or your family, your kids or something that I think football live stinks. I wonder if there's disagree with you sitting around waiting for the action starting seats, you know, yeah, but when even when you have good seats, like you're not seeing it, like football is such a great TV sport. Baseball I love Danny, but there are games Let's say it's eight to one Padres in the second inning, and you're there and you're a Dodgers fan, You're not like aggravated, like it's I don't know, Yeah, it's not baseball. I don't think it's baseball because I don't know if kids get kids could get bored.

00:12:22
Speaker 4: The kids a lot of first dates and a lot of young couples swear by Dodger game here in Los Angeles as a date night, I would say NBA, but going to a Lakers game and Dodgers are catching up really quick here as far as prices go. But you know a lot of us were outpriced a long time ago when it came to the NBA.

00:12:42
Speaker 2: For the record, if you're new to Covino and Rech, we're huge baseball fans, so we love going to baseball games. I'm just saying, isn't an automatic where everybody's having a great time. I'm gonna have a good time. I like baseball.

00:12:53
Speaker 4: Yeah, seventh inning, stretch, the food there, you don't have to pay attention every minute, there's conversations going on between young couples.

00:13:01
Speaker 3: So I think baseball is a really good date night.

00:13:05
Speaker 2: Any other automatics? Is there anything? Do you feel like bowling? I do, yeah, I thought of that. I think bowling you can't have fun. I said, these are things the problem. But the question is if you take your kids and family or a date to these places, if they don't have fun, they're the problem. Yes, Bowling, like if you can't have fun, especially now these bowling eyes. When we would go you had an overhead project when we were kids. I'm saying overhead projector you're bowling next to some old guy named bart smoking cigars. Right, it was horrible, Like the balls were terrible. You go there. Now there's a laser light show. It's automatic scoring.

00:13:46
Speaker 5: You got those early two thousands, like digital little cartoons are like.

00:13:50
Speaker 2: You made a spare right, Yeah, it's so much fun. You have a turkey, by the way, So if you want to add to the list and the when we bring this up as Rich went to Hibachi last night and his only complaint is that he smells like gas. So are you want to add to the list. My only complaint you end up smelling a little bit when you leave. Trying to think of you went the other day with your girlfriend. You guys went to like a melting polica. Yeah, like some type of fun. Do plays anything like that? Or like Korean barbecue or Japanese barbecue. It is fun because you get to sak going, you get the beer going. It's really your own meats. You're around a table friends and that food itself. Like you leave feeling very satisfied, but not like weighed down and bogged down. So like meats, proteins and vegetables. You know, it's it's perfect because there's someone here, because we're in America and someone can explain to you what to do.

00:14:42
Speaker 3: Right.

00:14:43
Speaker 2: I was in Japan. I'm a world traveler. This guy's Carmen San Look me, man, I'm fancy people in the world. I went to Japan and you don't know what's going on. So you're like, I'm pointing, like I guess we'll have this right, and that they brought out all these things, and I'm like, you know, like all right, what do we do with it? There's a whole process and you're sitting there looking around that one likes to help you the most. I could see you struggling. It was not an automatic fun time. In fact, I was with my girlfriend it was miserable because like we didn't know what to do, Like do we boil these things? What do we pour first? Like what's the process here? No one's willing to help you. What a yeah it was it was I'll throw one more and then we'll move on. I want to talk to some NFL. Would you say some type of top golf type of place is a no fail like just hitting a bucket of balls and having some you know, food and drinks. Is top golf a place where even the most even like you don't have to be a golfer to hit some balls and have fun. Though I agree with that, my only suggestion is this. I went recently in Idaho. There's one in Idaho, and my girlfriends from Idaho Golf elt it's way to Idaho. You said, yeah, they have a top golf, but dude, no one told me like, you don't need a jacket. It's gonna be nice and warm. I was freezing my ass off the whole time. Dude, so that's mister Gilmore's jacket. Yeah, dress warm, it's winter. But anyway, thank you guys. Add to the list everything at Coveno and Rich Fox Sports Radio. We're getting feedback on the live chat at Coveno and Rich FSR on YouTube, and we're gonna take your phone calls to move on. I knew I forgot one, so thank you to the feedback. What's up to Red Goose and Mercerman and Wes and Chuck and nature Boy just said the one I was thinking of karaoke will reveal the true personality of a date. She may not be a good really putting somebody on the spot. She may not be a good singer. But then if putting it on the spot, if she's like, no, I won't do it, then you're like all right, then you're then you're sort of a date with someone that's not a stick in the mud. But if you get a guy like me, you take it way too serious. I think I'm like, I think Cornell should be the lead singer of Godsmack or something, you know, and they take the fun.

00:16:46
Speaker 6: Out of it.

00:16:47
Speaker 3: Performance anxiety evolved.

00:16:49
Speaker 2: Guy starts doing air guitar during the during the little interludes, I get out there and I'm like, and I won every day?

00:16:56
Speaker 4: Like slow down there, American Idem gets his own guitar out of his truck, Like who's this guy?

00:17:00
Speaker 2: I think he is? I was like, did I get to gether? Go to Hollywood? Who do we got?

00:17:04
Speaker 3: Danny g On the.

00:17:04
Speaker 4: Following, Let's check in with Andres in Seattle, andras.

00:17:09
Speaker 2: What's up?

00:17:09
Speaker 3: Man?

00:17:10
Speaker 2: And what's going on? Andre? You gotta be pretty slick with a name like Andres. What's up? Hey? Why was Colorado? Like real sick at my advantage? What's up?

00:17:21
Speaker 3: Bud? So?

00:17:21
Speaker 6: I just wanted to chime in on the adults and apping in the afternoon.

00:17:25
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:17:27
Speaker 6: So I wake up at three in the morning, so when you guys come in the afternoon, I'm already on my way home. So I take like an hour and a half NAT before the family comes home, so that way I have the energy to deal with everything.

00:17:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what happened to me yesterday, because this isn't our normal schedule. So we're up at five am on the West and by the time we finished our Patreon show and everything else, Yeah, I passed out the second I got home. I brought it up because that's not normally what happens. We're not complaining, just explain, wouldn't we filling for Dan? And I know most of these thing Elliot's on the East coast, but on the West coast here it's early, and when you're not used to it, it feels weird when like mid afternoon, you're like, I think I want to sleep like a little school boy. Remember in kindergarten, you'd have a little matt you'd bring into class and you fall asleep for a little bit. Cavina brings it here, my little else what are they called rag mats Yeah, little uh yeah, rag with Grandma's rag rug.

00:18:22
Speaker 4: Last hour we talked about the Tyson Mayweather fight. Yeah, Johnny in Minnesota wants to talk about that.

00:18:28
Speaker 2: Johnny, are you watching this or what?

00:18:30
Speaker 6: Hey?

00:18:30
Speaker 3: No, I'm probably not gonna be able to watch it.

00:18:33
Speaker 2: But I just want Mike Tyson to punch somebody in the face real hard. I think that's what we all know. We wanted that with Jake Paul. We want that with Mayweather. I just I know what you're saying. You want him to take like all his energy into one ferocious like you want him to harness nineteen eighty eight Mike Tyson in one punch. It just Floyd Mayweather. I just don't think it could happen. Beat everybody he fought fifty and oh you think he's gonna lose to a fifty nine year old Mike Tyson. That not be pretty created not I did my Beth to cagem, but I couldn't. You're de elusive. No, Well, you can catch a chicken, you can catch grease. It's not happening, all right, Your thoughts at Covino and Rich Now, I do want to talk about Tyreek kill without any true knowledge. And I say that's with confidence, because guys, I have no true knowledge of where he goes next. Neither do you. Neither does anyone unless you're unless Adam Schefter is on the case already this morning and he's your Madame Ruby. Yeah, unless I go see Madame Ruby with Peee Herman the Alamo, unless you uh, you know, you think you know what you don't. What do you think is a good landing spot for Tyreek kill? It seems like Minneso Miami's clearinghouse. Tyreek kills out and you wonder what team is that one big receiver that can make all the difference. And I have not heard anyone say the team that I think you think he goes back to the Chiefs. Well, that's that's.

00:20:11
Speaker 3: One of the would be a good option.

00:20:13
Speaker 2: That's one of the spect people do that. Teams do that a lot familiarity, bring him back, they know what he brings. Why didn't they do that with Kareem Hunt as well? Like I mean, like there's been a couple of guys that have come and gone.

00:20:22
Speaker 3: I think I know where you're going to go with this rich to go meet up with his old coach.

00:20:27
Speaker 2: He could meet up with his old coach.

00:20:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, who's now the OC for the Chargers.

00:20:31
Speaker 2: He could become a target, a very well needed target for the Chargers. Come out here to sunny southern California. Mentioned the Raiders already the Raiders. I mean, when you have Brock Bowers, when you have Ashton Genty, when you know you're going to draft the hell out alignment, Danny g You're like, I feel like your whole draft and free agency should all be focused online. You add a one like that, a Tyreek Hill, the Raiders all of a sudden look a little scared.

00:21:00
Speaker 4: You gotta wonder what the money is going to need to be. He's coming off a major season ending left knee surgery which happened in late September.

00:21:08
Speaker 2: So is he a bargain or is he still gonna Is there still gonna be a demand? What do we think? Chuck Hanson says Chuck Hanson nineteen forty six on the live chat at Covino and RICHEF sarses the Giants with Darton Neighbors Yell Jackson dars and Idaho says he'll be at home taking care of all.

00:21:22
Speaker 3: Of his kids.

00:21:23
Speaker 2: If Jackson imagine it's Jackson, Dart Camp Scataboo. And then he's got Molik neighbors ste Lo saying Titans with their new oiler makeovers, their new uniforms, new coach, new new get up, maybe a new start for him there. Let me let me throw this one in there. It's a team of aging stars. And you know where I'm going because I can't have a football conversation without being a little bit of a homer. They got a little cap space the forty nine ers. McCaffrey got through this year healthy party. I think while the Niners were banged up. Party, I think had a big year stepping forward. I think party in moments, we're like, oh wow, all right, he's he's getting better every year. Yeah, he looks solid. Kittle is shooting to be back week when you look back. No complaints on party last year Week one, not that I remember. Kittle wants to be ready even if it's week four. You got Kittle back in the mix. McCaffrey, you're gonna get Fred Warner and Bosa and all your defensive stars back. A couple guys stepped up last year. You know. Big Trent Williams is coming back for another year. Seems like it seems like the same team's in place. What were the forty nine er is missing last year? No offense to Juan Jennings. I like him, but he's not a true number one. He's a great number two wide receiver, but and Rick couldn't stretch the field, and Ricky Piersall was hurt a lot of the year. So if you added the forty nine ers, lack a one. I know there's rumors at a reunion with Deebo Samuel, but that might I feel like you're just adding another aging guy to an already aging team. I don't know, you don't think a deep threat like Tyreek Hill could could work well with a Kyle Shaft to hand offense? Tyreek Kale for the record, thirty one years old, Yeah, about to be thirty two at the start of March. Well, I don't know why you're not here in any forty nine or rumblings. Maybe because the forty nine ers feel like they don't have the space, the cap space. Maybe they're thinking that that type of guy doesn't fit into the Niners vibe. It'll also be his eleventh year in the league, so it's just a matter of yeah, you're how healthy he is, and how willing these teams are are to take a chance on that.

00:23:27
Speaker 4: Your Niners had a little bit of noise with your roster last year, Rich with drive bys of the stadium at one hundred miles an hour. I mean, so you've had some players where maybe your front office and your coaching staff doesn't want any more headaches.

00:23:41
Speaker 2: I mean, think about it. The Niners are supposed to lock up Brendan Ayuka. That never happened. He's going to be somewhere else, So the Niners could that that money's off the books now.

00:23:50
Speaker 4: So hey, but Tyreek may play with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder coming back, and if he hasn't lost too much of a step where that's the thing. We're gonna have to see how he is after, you know, he heals up.

00:24:02
Speaker 2: Is he still the Cheetah? I guess we'll see your thoughts. Would like to see him personally Danny G's Raiders. I think that would be cool.

00:24:10
Speaker 4: That would be a cool fit for all those years I had to watch him torch the Raiders defense. So I'm not gonna complain if he's on the other side.

00:24:19
Speaker 2: You know what, make your case here, Dan Patrick, DP Nation, The dan Ets, Cavino and Rich filling in, where do you think Tyreek Hill makes the most sense? If it doesn't mean to make sense, I want to know from you, where do you want him like? What would make your football dreams come true? We'll take your feedback. Next more Cavino and Rich right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2: YouTube subscribe, hit that thumbs up icon and comment away Sam with the led Zeppelin? Have you seen Becoming led Zeppelin? On Netflix? No worth the watch? Can can I watch that? With my ads with the commercials. Let's you thought you have commercials on your Netflix, so skip it. Sam, It's not like a lower class of society. Yeah, man, I'll never watch your Netflix. Work a little harder. Sam's like, you want to come over and watch I'm like, Nope, not at all. You know what, I'm embarrassed. I haven't watched yet. Uh not Love His Bond, I haven't started that. But Rise of the forty nine Ers. My dad's like, my dad was disappointed. He's like, how have you not watched yet? He's like, that was your childhood Joe montadd and Jerry Rises. God, be honest, I'm a little disappointed. He said. It's fantastic. So I'm gonna watch that.

00:26:06
Speaker 3: Yeah night with Tom Brady.

00:26:08
Speaker 2: Rise of the forty nine Ers, the twenty twenty six AMC documentary narrated by TB twelve. Well, hey, you want to add to that experience, have a nice drink. You want the vibe of a drink, that smooth, warming kick, especially on game day without the hangover. That's RK zero Proof, World's first zero proof spirits with their patented warm molecule, same feel, zero alcohol, all the cheer, none of the regret try it at RK zero proof dot com and you know what. Interestingly enough, one of the great sponsors for Dan Patrick, RK right ties into something that Wes and Vegas hit us up with. We were talking about the no fails, like where to take someone and if they don't have fun, they're dude. We said what I had? I just took a little break before and had an ep fany and I thought of something else too. We said, you know, hibachi, We said, a comedy club. We said, maybe like a top golf type of place, karaoke. What did you come up with? Well, we were also talking about the greatest of mics because Mike Tyson announced his fight Yeah with Floyd Mayweather. H if you throw on back to the Future, because I feel like it's such a timeless classic that everybody can enjoy it. Who else. I feel like that's an automatic. If you're sitting there in a room and you're like, you know, when's the last time you seen it? Oh, it's been a few years. Or imagine if someone's never seen it, Oh wait till you watch us and they're not saying it's a great movie and they're not enjoying it. Man there's something wrong with them. I think that's an automatic movie. Back to the Future, it's everything so good that movie theaters. Each year we'll play it as a retro show. If there's that says, yeah it was that I didn't like it, then I don't think we could be friends. I'll be honest. Uh. It's been argued as the closest thing to a quote perfect movie, even Rotten Potatoes in the year. It doesn't need to be your favorite. But I that's a great thing. I don't know. I know some people that aren't into things that other people like. There's people that are like Game of Thrones, hated It's Star Wars. Not a fan Godfather, man, there's things that people don't like. I don't know if I've ever met someone that's like Back to the Future hated it, like never I've never met someone that's a neverin But.

00:28:19
Speaker 3: You said Godfather, Rest in peace, Robert Duval.

00:28:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, Robert Wevell night, Rest in Peace, Robert Duvall, and rest in peace, Jesse Jacks. Jesse Jackson passed away. I just saw that. Yeah, not the title together. The no fails. Like when you're hanging with friends or family, west goes you know it would be hard for someone to go to Vegas and not have fun, And you know what I thought about it, because I love Vegas. However, I read an interesting article and it ties into everything Vegas could be overwhelming for the wrong people. It ties into Dan Patrick's sponsor, the non alcoholic Drink, It ties into West saying Vegas, and it ties into this article I read out of the New York Post. Give me a second, I got find this right here. I don't believe you read it. I believe you just saw the headline. And now, actually it wasn't the New York Post. It was out of social media I found. No, it is an article, though already getting into details from I read it on a cereal box. I was not reading any news. I read it in a.

00:29:15
Speaker 3: Mean guy on the back of a shampoo bottle.

00:29:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, I rich read this on a billboard somewhere. You read a blurb. Yeah, he didn't read any article interestingly enough. Because I love Las Vegas, probably because I like gambling, probably because I like partying, and probably because I like good looking women, and probably because I like all the things Vegas has. It's like a combination of all My spot called the Green door. And I'm not a swinger. I don't know why are you staying? Of all these, of all the people in the studio right now, we got the whole Cavino and Rich Crewe And for Dan Patrick, who's been to the Green Door in Vegas, we went with a bunch of people. Hey Dan, have you ever been there?

00:29:55
Speaker 3: No?

00:29:55
Speaker 2: Hey Sam, you ever been there? No? Which guy talks about it all the time has been the rich. It's like, didn't participate in anything anyway. Vegas brings out all the smut, right, Vegas brings out all the vices, gambling, drinking, partying. Get this. The headline reads, Las Vegas is dying and it's all because of Generation Z. And this is an interesting thought because I think Las Vegas, you think, over the last decade or so, a growing city. They just got a hockey team a few years ago, rumors of an NBA franchise. They got the Raiders, They got the A's moving to Las Vegas. So you think they got the sphere, They got a new slogan.

00:30:37
Speaker 4: Hello, they have the Golden Knights and the Aces, who have both won championships.

00:30:41
Speaker 2: They went from what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas to what happens in Vegas only happens in Vegas. Like they're trying to make it way more family.

00:30:51
Speaker 3: Friend.

00:30:51
Speaker 2: I think that's the key, and I'll tell you why Vegas is dying. I don't think how could it be dying when it's when all this stuff is being added. Terry Fader, better step is game up, They're saying, penn and tell it, just don't bring it. Yeah, now here's the here's the story. Let me read this to you and let me know your thoughts. Las Vegas their economy. Las Vegas' economy runs on parties, gambling, bottle service, social media, photo shoots, and that overall social vibe. For decades, this formula has shaped Sensity into an iconic destination that it is. But society is changing fast. Enter Generation Z, the younger kids, the twenty somethings, the college kids, the youngsters. I thought they were the teens that are turning into their twenties right. This generation prioritizes healthy eating, fitness, and when it comes to traveling, they want to do it on a low budget, but like out of the country like they rather backpack in like Slovenia.

00:31:52
Speaker 3: And they want their parents to still pay for it.

00:31:53
Speaker 2: And they want their parents to pay. They're also broke. Generation at all. Generation ZO also drinks. Get this. Now, you could say, well, a lot of General Z can't legally drink yet, but they've accounted for this. They drink eighty seven percent less alcohol than millennials. Though you might say, well they're not legal drinking age, they've accounted that into it, and they're saying that the idea of getting trashed and drinking and partying to a younger kid is an appealing They view it, get this as irresponsible. Well, I can't hate on them for being better than the previous generational. The smartphone has replaced the lore of something like the Las Vegas strip. Scrolling dominates every day life. People still gamble, but now they do so on apps and from the leisure or you might say leisure of your own home. You notice too, everybody wants like a nice weed drink or like some sort of kids are taking out ables, heale, can I have a mocktail? But you know, you know it's more popular than alcohol as not more popular, but a growing trend. It's the mocktail. Rage Less people are drinking and getting to get drunk. More people are having weed based, cannabis based drinks and mocktails no alcohol. You go to a restaurant, now you go to a fancy restaurant. I'm fascinating that's they call California sober. Right here on the ost side, I'm fascinated by how many nice restaurants now on their sweet cocktail menu with like twenty dollars drinks they now a lot of them have a mocktail section where it's like, yeah, these are fancy drinks with no alcohol. People are sort of off the moves. So they're saying it's very tough for casinos. Maybe the city of Las Vegas, with the sports franchises and the shows and you know what else is probably taking part or causing this. There's a lot less younger people getting married, and if they are, they're probably like weeny guys who don't want to have like crazy bachelor parties in Vegas. They're saying, very hard for casinos to convert visitors in a younger demo.

00:33:57
Speaker 4: We have a son who is just out of college, and the reason he and his friends complain about going there because I know he's gone with his boys a couple of times. They don't like all the parking fees because they drive there from southern California, and the taxes, they're like, oh, room fifty bucks, and then after all the tourism taxes, it's two hundred dollars Vegas drinks way.

00:34:18
Speaker 2: I love Vegas, Danny, but our buddy Jamie and Boston hit us up and he said, you used to go to Vegas, and I don't. You don't want to sound like the old guy, but he's like, I used to go to Vegas. And even if you didn't want to stay at a sassy, higher end place like the Cosmo or Bellagio, first time I went there, I stayed at the Flamingo or something. You you used to be able to say, I'm gonna go to Vegas and pick your budget. You could be baller and stay at the Bellagio, you know, Cosmo Vedarin, you know the win or something. Go to Whiskey Peach or you could go to like Whiskey Peach right, or you go to Freemont. But guess what even those places now have like ten twenty dollars drinks minimum. So they're saying younger peace people have two priorities, health and not spending money. What is Vegas all about? Putting aside health and spending money. So it's a terrible equation for the younger generation in Vegas. There's just no, they're not symbodica. Well you could have had timing for the Raiders and the night else. I go to Vegas. Now it's a little different. I'm a little bit more of a mature man. But when I was in my twenties the age gen zers are now, I'd go to Vegas and my priority would be like, I'm gonna get trashed and gamble and go to like experiment Rhino. Kids now are like, yeah, that's too many calories and I don't want to spend money. So Vegas, I don't know what to tell you. I think maybe it becomes Danny a family destination with sports teams, and they better start catering the older demographic. The smut and the gambling in Vegas is on the downfall, but that's probably why they've started to market.

00:35:56
Speaker 3: It more family for it. And I don't think that.

00:35:59
Speaker 4: I don't think the vices are gonna go away rich and it would take years for that to happen if they wanted to go in that direction.

00:36:05
Speaker 2: To become profitable. Oh you forgot a major major part of this, unless you said it. I apologize. I was looking stuff up, like the fact that younger generations are like gamble, I could do that for my phone. Yeah yeah, so, like I'm sure that's a major major part of it. The fact that they don't drink like it's a perfect storm. Not even Vegas suffers as a result, not even like our pals with DraftKings, not even all the gambling sites, even like something like online game like people played black Check on the phone, right you could? You know? So like yeah, interesting, right, So takes away from that just to tie into the Vegas story. Now coming up, we are going to talk a little more NFL. And by the way, we got a lot of great feedback of where should Tyreek Hill end up? And let me tell you, I think reading all the feedback, twenty five of the thirty two teams were named because there's no real indication of where this guy goes, because you could wonder does he go there's no real indicator on how healthy he is and or or if you're if you're gonna do this hypothetic, we have to say, you know, he he's back to he's getting ready and it's also Danny a conversation of you got He's the type of guy where you got to know, like where's his head? Him? Like, what's is Tyreek Hill? Like, you know, I'm out to prove something? Is he Like, I'm only going to a team ready?

00:37:15
Speaker 1: Now?

00:37:16
Speaker 2: Do I want to go somewhere because of a coach? I like, like, we don't even know where Tyreek heads, his head's at so or his health. So it's a really interesting release by the Dolphins. So we'll see where Tyreek ends up. Before you know it, we'll talk a little more NFL talking about Jordan, Michael Jordan all we all owe an apology. We'll talk about that. We got prizes to give away. Next Down or Whack Diesel Trivia's multiple choice Whack Shack Diesel comes in, asks a few questions. If you can answer, you win a prize, a SNR prize pack. So write this number down and when we tell you to call, call eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven ninety nine. On Fox, we got more Camino and rich In for Dan Patrick.

00:38:32
Speaker 2: I'm more of an Elves fan, the Mexican Elvis, you know, larry him in Vegas? No I had, Yeah, I did have Elvis marry me Vegas. There's this needn't work out, big surprise, shuck. This's this new movie or documentary coming out. It's called Epic Elvis Presley in Concert. It looks really good. So if you're an Elvis fan, I consider myself an Elvis fan. Uh, it's it's just coming out. Elvis Presley in Concert, Epic. You know what I'm Sam? I want to correct Rich because he paints a wrong visual to make me look more dumb, and that's fine. Feel free to you know, imagine Elvis marrying me. He got married by Elvis. No, that's not true.

00:39:09
Speaker 3: That's true. Star.

00:39:10
Speaker 2: Elvis was there, but he didn't marry me. Right, he didn't like it. Officiate. Wait, he didn't officiate be married to you. He got married like a little chapel in Las Vegas. But he didn't do the Sarah. So like it's inaccurate. I'm just making that clear, that's all I mean. It's not much better. You say accurate stuff about me all the time every every day. Hey, we're Cavino and rich in for Dan Patrick. It's an honor and we're live from the Fox Sports radio studio here in Los Angeles. A picture of you and your ex wife with Elvis. You know, today we celebrate the birthday of one of the most legendary athletes of all time, definitely of our lifetime. Michael Jordan celebrates a birthday today. And I had a thought about it, Like there's some days where, like you know, you get your little news alert, you know, Kevino and I do our little research for the shows, and you see these little like, oh, what celebrities got a birthday today? There's like fifty celebrities that celebrated birthday today and other days there's nobody. So I wanted you to put some of these celebrities in the order of their impact in your mind. Well, Michael Jordan has to be number one. He's sixty three years old. For those of you keeping score at home. I want to do this next. I want you to do a quick little Cavino power ranking of these celebrities. But I do think we owe Michael Jordan a big apology. Yesterday there was this narrative on social media that he was being weird or creepy, and we were the first to be like, yeah, y'all. Context is everything. There was video where it looked like he was grabbing at the back of a kid's pants or shirt. Tyler Redicks, Tyler Redicks. They were celebrating the big victory that Daytona five hundred. He was the big winner over the weekend, his team won, and in celebration, you see him doing something let's just say interesting, with a little boy. And unfortunately, I say a little boy. It sounds weird. Just cried his best friend's kid. It is a little boy, and he was doing something interesting. I couldn't have did it more down the middle. I'm just explaining. But it turns out context matters. It wasn't a big deal. And you know, I'll explain what context matters next. I think it just sounds weird when you say a little boy. How do you explain it? He was a little boy. Did he have a mustache? You had a mustache?

00:42:08
Speaker 3: Was a little boy?

00:42:09
Speaker 5: Wait to sign off on the hour with this conversation with ten seconds last well more Covino Rich next let the music play.
