And and speaking of Phoenix, the reason why he's saying that you can hear the laughter in the background because our guests, we're very excited to have them today. I've met one of them. I this is my first time talking to the other. And Joe. You haven't met our guests either, have you? No, I haven't met too many people in the Bachelor world, probably because I was ing on the shelf for a day, so you know, I think that's what it is. Would you like to introduce our guests to our Bachelor Happy Hour listeners? I would love to everyone welcome, Ari and Lauren. What's up? I like that? That was good. We're so excited to have you guys on the podcast today. We have a lot of questions we need to catch up with you guys. Um, so we're just going to get right into it. Listen. When we were prepping to have you guys on the podcast, it really dawned on us that you guys have gone from fiance to husband to wife to parents all in one year. That's a lot. Alright, My first question, are you okay? Yeah? Yeah, we're living our best life. It's awesome. You guys look so happy. I mean, what have you learned throughout this year, because you've had so many milestones come about, Like, what's been the biggest change and challenge for you guys? Had People make it look so much easier than it is. You guys make it look easy. Yeah, I mean, seriously, I'm sure we do, but it is not easy. The only time we, you know, we get to film a lessie and the happy parts of parenting, you know, is when we can actually have her phone in her hand. The other time, you know, our phones on the on the table or whatever because we're cleaning up poop or trying to rock a screaming baby. Do you guys do you guys sleep? Like yeah, oh yeah, great. That's like the one thing that um, I will say is that Alessie is like a great sleeper. She sleeps like twelve hours a night. Oh geez, that sounds like a dream. We don't have kids, but I know that a sleeping baby is like, besides a healthy baby, a sleeping baby is like right there at the top of the list. Yeah, that's what you know. Oh yeah, sleep is a necessity those first two weeks when you're sleep deprived, though, it's it's hard. I mean, it's hard not to be grumpy. And yeah, we had a hard time the first year we go through it. What was that feeling like the first time you held your baby, you know, because everyone says that's like, you know, it's like the first time you ever felt that kind of love. I guess it wasn't really like that for me, like obviously before I saw her, but it was kind of bizarre to me because I didn't know her yet. Yeah, I think for it was more or less. Um for that was how it felt for me, because I think for a for a guy, you know, you're you obviously aren't going through the pregnancy, and you don't really feel like as attached as you do when you see her for the first time. Yea, And I think for Lauren, you know, she'd been carrying her for so long, it just was a different it was a different feeling. Yeah. I think I kind of made up in my mind what I thought she was gonna look like and what she was going to act like, and then when I first met her, it didn't really feel like those things matched up. So I had to kind of get to know her after that. Well, Lauren, you were probably exhausted. You were like, I made a moment. Actually, we had a great time. We had a great time in the hospital, Lauren was. Yeah, Lauren was. We had a blast. I mean, I mean, obviously it's for me then for but um, you know, we were kind of rolling around in wheelchairs and just like having a blast. And I was afraid they were going to kick me out of the hospital because I wasn't far enough along. So I started pushing Ari around in a wheelchair to put myself into labor again. Oh my gosh, fine, Ari, did you did you watch the baby like come out of the Yes? Private party going into the whole experience. I was like, oh no, heck no, I'm gonna stay like rap by your face. Yeah, I'm just like not going to watch. But you know, it's actually really fascinating and something that I highly recommend to any like new parents, like new dads, because it's just it's just such a miracle and it's just so cool to witness what Lauren can actually do with her body. And um, yeah, it was. It was. It was gnarly. It was so cool. Okay, I have to ask because and I wish you could see my face right now, Like I I hear the joy ari in your voice, but but describing it, I'm like, oh my gosh, I cannot believe it. One day. This is what I'm gonna happen. My guy's perspective, I'm like, it's gnarly, sounds like he's like coolretzels. I just learned. And Lauren, tell me if you did this. I just learned that you can participate in the delivery of your baby and you can or something like you can have a mirror down there so you can watch the whole thing. Did you do that? No? I did not want to see it. I didn't let our friend take pictures down there. I don't want to see that like that at all. Ever. Yeah, I'm with you, girl. I mean I mortified when I heard that, just like, yeah, okay, so we I feel like we the reason, the reason Joe and I keep poking y'all about the pregnancy and the baby, obviously because we're excited for you guys as parents, but also before we started talking to you, I was saying how I don't feel well and I am a person who thinks they're pregnant every single month, but this time I really think that I might be. I was saying, I don't feel well, and Joe said, I'm I'm making him nervous to where he thinks he's pregnant now, so that's why he's asking you so many questions too. Definitely do it in the correct order, then, I mean, at least you got married first. Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, so outside of your parents your new parents. But in addition to everything else that happened between fiance, husband, wife, parents, Lauren, you also moved to Arizona. So tell us how life is in Arizona for you guys. Honestly, life in Arizona right now is blur probably the last year, and it was really my first year. But we love it here. It's beautiful. The weather's finally getting a little bit more bearable so we can go outside. But the summer was rough here with the new baby, I didn't really get to go outside too much. You probably don't want to go outside. I mean it feels like you're living on the sun for a few months. Is it true that you can crack an egg on the ground in the summer and it cooks? Yeahs you ever tried it? It's crazy? But I mean the thing is, yeah, like Laurence said, I think last year we went to twelve different countries, so we traveled a ton, and we traveled a lot during even the winter months when it was nice in Arizona. So I think this is kind of our first going to be our first winter, which is kind of why everyone moves to Arizona. But she likes it. She's used to moving around a lot, so she's pretty adaptable to any place. I feel like, yeah, I was living in Jazz before and I was kind of ready to move somewhere else. I like doing that kind of thing. Twelve different countries, which was your favorite? You gotta have a favorite, and I want to hear the worst talk. We always say Iceland. We always see Iceland. It's a favorite, favorite, first place we went to as a couple, like right after the show, so it kind of holds a special place in our heart. But it was such a unique area. I mean, it felt like we were on the moon. It was. It's just really pretty there and different, so different than any other place I've ever been to. Could you see the northern lights? We just miss that kind of time. Oh, I got a good story. Yeah. Lauren's like, oh, I'd love to go see the northern lights. So we got in our rent a car in the in the middle of the night and we drove like far away from the town. There where a two hour drive to the middle of nowhere. And then I was scared to get out of the car dark. I was like, I can't get out really, So we turned around and went back. It's saw nothing. So you drove to the middle of nowhere in the darkness, you don't even know if you're still in Iceland. You don't even go She's like, I'm so scared that something's going to come out and get us. I'm like, I don't think there's really any predators around here. No, Iceland's pretty safe. No, that sounds like the beginning of a horror movie. I'm with you, Lauren, like you needed to stay in the car and go back home. Okay. Least favorite country, Oh man, I don't want to down on anyone's country, Sweeten. Is that where you're Sweden? No? Is it that where you wait? Is that where you're from? Because otherwise I choked. I was like, otherwise I choke with so much I thought she was gonna say that was the worst country. My bad. Let's let's take that out. Yeah, No, you're good, You're good. Yeah. China. I heard China's a little rough, but you know, yeah, nobody from China's culture maybe they are. Okay, I want to talk to you guys about this because Lauren, we've never spoken, but I have spoken about you actually with Ari before I knew it was you. Okay, you want you want to take take us back in time a bit, because the first time I met Ari, it was during we were on the road to Winter Games, Okay, and we had a blast. Okay, it was it not we had so much fun. So we're in the middle of nowhere. Could have been Iceland from the way the way it was looking, and we had nothing to do but eats me Ari and Jojo eat and drink, and so we're having such a good time. And so Ari just really started opening up to us and talking to us, and Jojo and I are listening, and so this is also Ari season was the first time I got to watch a season and had no um, yeah like names. I don't want to know names. Yes, So it was one and two. That's how we were referring to things. And I'm just listening to him talk about um the season, and I and Jojo and I look at each other and we were like, you know, we really think you like that number two. That number two, I think that's who you need to be with. And at the time, we didn't know it was you. So it's it's funny that we knew that and we were holding onto that secret and then come to find out, you guys are it is number two. Number two was the one, and now you guys are happy, you know, married parents. I'm dating number three. So and don't make a weird job. It's all right, you know, it's the Bachelor World. That's what we signed up for. It no but I remember like thinking about Winner Games and I was like, oh, you know, if I go to Winter Games, I can probably see Lawrence producer and then maybe like see how she's doing, you know. I was like, that was my whole motivation for actually going to Winner Games. Really, well, you didn't share that piece of information with us, all right, we didn't know that. I'm I'm sitting here thinking Jojo and I should take credit for like really saying, you know, you got to follow your heart and go and go with what you know. You know, Honestly, it was a really good It was really good for me to go there and to talk to you guys, because it's really hard if you if you're not a lead, to really understand everything, you know, from the beginning to the end and sort of what you go through. So like chatting with you girls was really helpful and it actually gave me a lot of clarity, and um, yeah, I was definitely lost at that point and really questioning how the show ended. And I'm really happy how it turned out now, obviously, but yeah, at the time, it was just you felt like this enormity of pressure and then you also just want to make people happy in a way like that sounds kind of crazy, but at the end of the day of true life. So it was cool to talk to you and to kind of get your guys's opinions and and then you guys were like, no, we were really solid with our choice. And I was like, you were like, um, do you feel like this? We were like, now you should feel like that, are ye. Let's talk about everything about you know, like who you sent home and like when you're up late at night and you're thinking about like the whole scenario, like do you ever feel like you questioned your decision? And your girls are like both like no, no, we're getting was like I would have ended up with Robbie. Yeah. Yeah. She was not happy about that. But you know what was great is that because we didn't have a vested interest in it, we really could give you listen to what you were saying, and just give you our opinion without knowing anything. And so from what we were hearing, it was like, Hey, you really got to pursue this other relationship. So I'm happy that we had that moment. I'm happy that it all worked out for everybody. At the end of the day, Yeah, for sure, So what the wedding. Your wedding looked beautiful by the way. Okay, you guys were smart because you did it in the wintertime in Hawaii where we went to Mexico in August, so we were dying and so we're all of our guests. So you guys were smart in doing it in the wintertime in a hot place. But how soon after the finale, because things, like we said, everything has moved really fast for you guys, how soon after the finale did you start the wedding planning process? M what do you think? Pretty pretty soon? Actually, we actually wanted to get married sooner than than when we did. Our initial plan was October. Yeah, we were so we were so funny, like we when we were together during Happy Couple. After the show, we just kind of wanted to fast forward everything. We wanted to get married, we want to have babies. We wanted to do it all like right away. And I don't know what why we felt that need to like rush it, but I think we just were like so looking forward to our future that we just wanted that future to be like then if that makes any sense, Yeah, you know, you know why wait? Yeah, so we started planning pretty quick. I would say like, I don't know, it was right honestly, like two months. I think, yeah, that's awesome. Though, that's encouraged. I like to hear that you guys, how did it feel to take your baby back to your wedding venue? So it was really cool to take her to our wedding venue. But it's obviously very different traveling with an infant. Yeah, I think we had this big expectation to go back to Maui and just to kind of relive that whole week and kind of do the things that we did. But then it's just, you know, it's a lot harder traveling with a four month old. So we we still went to the venue and chucked it out, and I thought that was pretty cool. It was just as pretty as I remember it, and it was cool to show Lessie the place. It's fun. I have a question, why did you guys do a joint bachelor bachelorette party? Coming from you know, you know, when you know a guy gets married, he always I always like wanted a big bachelor party Vegas and you know, the whole thing. But this curious. I think we just thought it would be fun because as corny as this sounds, were each other's best friends. So no, that is corny, but I understand. I definitely understand that because that's how I feel with Kendall. We really are best friends. But every time I say it, I am like, God, am I so fucking corny? But no, it is. I get that. So you're never had been to Vegas sort of in her adult life? Oh really? And I didn't want to like go there on a bachelor party and however not experience it. I don't know. Well, I think we both wanted our bachelor and bachelorette parties in the same place. Anyway, Yeah, exactly fun. Are there any like crazy stories to come out from that from you guys doing it together? I don't know if we can share. Oh yes, god, police, come on, this is wait? Who did it? Who was it? Was it because of lorn or because of Ari or your love pranking? Ari and I did a really good strippers stripper escort suckers joking. Oh it sounds it sounds like y'all had a good time. It sounds like it was worth it to have a joint bachelorette party or bachelor and bachelorette party. Okay, also in Vegas, you guys had a second wedding. Talk to us about that. Where did that come from? You guys are crazy? So we all so we always talked about just a loping because wedding planning got kind of stressful. To be honest, wedding planning is that's a lot. Yeah, we're like, why don't we just quit this and go lope in Vegas? And we thought seriously about it while we were planning our Hawaii wedding and then Ari had to go back there for a PF Chang's event and I'm like, well, your parents are coming with us, our daughters with us, we might as well just do our second wedding. It would be fun. So that's what we did. Yeah. So it was so random because we did this appearance and Montel Jordan was there. What's this do? Yeah? Right, and he's like the coolest guy. Yeah, and so he's like, we were just joking about like having to leave the leave this event because we have to go hurry up and get married as we gotta put the baby down by six thirty as parents, and he's like, well, you know, he's like, I'm an ordained minister, so I'll marry you guys. And I was like, no way, and he's like, yeah, I'll go with you. So him and his wife Kristen jumped in the car and then they came with us to the Little White Chapel just and we didn't even really plan it, like we called a Little White Chapel like that morning, so it was all sort of spur of the moment. Really cool. Wait, so Montell Jordan married. We don't know this. Yeah. I was really disappointed though, because his his whole you know, he gave a really eloquent, like really great, you know speech, but then he never really incorporated. Okay, guys, and now this is how we do it. I really wanted me too. I was like hanging on a cliff, like, all right, is he gonna sayt hell he's after that or he's an ordained minister. I'm gonna get Kisime. That is. I am slightly jealous. Okay, I'm like, Brian, we're gonna go to Vegas and go find Montell Jordan. I have Montell's number. You can just stop. Are you killing me? Okay, we'll talk off the air. Everybody waits seconds thrown off. He's really tall too, right, yeah, guy, Montell's six six eight, he stood God all right? Or keep going? No? No, no, wait, how does it start off? It's Friday? That and not come on wait, that's an INSANCT song. It's Friday. No, the party's here on the west side. Yeah, so I reached for my forty and to give it up, designated driver got the keys to much. Come on, Lauren, I don't know. It feels so good in my hood something because I, y'all, I haven't way too much fun. I'm so glad that you broke. Did y'all put on Instagram or any type of social media that Montell Jordan married you? Because I feel like I'm missing Yes, I know, everyone missed status. So they're like, who's that tall, really good looking black guy marrying those those two really white people? Was he dressed like the right? We got there and I was like, hey, Elvis, you mind sitting this one out? Is it the same chapel? Is that the same chapel that's in the Hangover? I don't know movie? Oh yeah, is it okay? I thought so? I think it is like the famous one, the little one, and that's where like, um, pretty Spears got married at one time and did Jonas and the did y'all know the Bachelor filmed there? You guys, Oh yeah they did. They said that they did film there, But you guys did it right? It seems like no. I wanted to Elope as well. And um I told my mother in law that Brian and I wanted to Elope and she said, oh my gosh, that sounds lovely. She didn't know what it meant, and then when she found out what it meant, she got upset. So Kendna want to get married in every country? She told me, like, do like a little tour and we get married in every country in the traditional way. Yeah, we're probably not going to, but I actually think it's a cool idea. It is kind of cool. Yeah, like actually gold like to do the tradition of wherever you know, Israel or m So. I actually heard a rumor or spread a rumor that y'all have another baby on the way. I don't know where that came. So you've heard it too. People are asking me. I'm like, what do I look fatter a lot of things, But I honestly, if you want to, Because of we talked about this on the podcast, everything you guys have been doing is accelerated, so it would only fall in love the baby number two is on the way, That is true, But no, definitely not putting that off for a little while. Yeah, I think after having one baby, you're like, Okay, let's slow it down a little bit. No, I mean, I think that's fair that you guys are taking your time when it comes to that. I never understand how people can do it like twins, Brian wants twins or you know, eleven months apart. I just it's it's wild to me, but you know, more power to them. How many kids do you want to have? Do you have a number? We started out one four, Yeah, and now I'm okay with one. We'll probably maybe two. We'll have another one in a couple of years. Yeah, yeah, I think that's kind of But I don't know. If we get a wild hair, maybe three. But I don't know. How did y'all come up with a baby's name? Pretty name? Well, at first we thought it was a boy, and so we obsessed over finding a boy's name for a month and a half. Finally decided, and then the day that we decided on the name, we found out that it was actually a girl. So what was the boy's name? Well, I can't say, oh, really, okay, that's fair, that's fair. I thought maybe it was like a lesson. So I looked up like every girl's name online and I was reading them to Ari for like two days straight, and finally I came across Lessia and I was like, what do you think of that one? And he's like, what if we dropped the A? And then we both just thought that it sounded pretty, So that's what we did. M It is a really really pretty name. It is. Um. Yeah, I'm actually jealous. I kind of want that name. I don't think that they would mind if you named your baby Lessie. Yeah. I think that's when it might get a little weird. Um for a boy, would be funny if we named him Harrison. But Lauren was on board of that. Well, you know, Harrison as a first name. You know, that's what No, I think that's great. We actually had Carly and Jade on the podcast, and Carly, um, we suggested the name Harrison for her, so oh, yeah, there you go. I like Harrison and he married you, so I mean it makes sense. Harrison. Shut up, But you can't let the kids call him Harry. Why Harry, Well, Harry's a popular name Harry Styles. If I can't see, I don't know Harry Styles is like the most popular guy. I have to think about what the kids are gonna say, right, Like, when you name your child, you have to think what are the kids going to call him at school? What are they going to tease him at Harry's Harry exactly? That'll sing the kid crying home that I know. I'm telling you. Do you think I think about this? I mean, I don't have children, but when I do, I always think about when they get older and they're old enough to start googling stuff and figuring out who their parents are. I'm worried personally about them seeing me on the show. Do you guys think about that? Um? I haven't really thought about that too much yet. Yeah, I mean either, I mean, obviously it'll be there. Yeah. I don't want my children to look at me on TV or YouTube or wherever it's going to be and me saying get the fuck out, you know what I mean? Yeah? Well, I mean you should have thought about that. You know what. They shouldn't have brought an ex girlfriend. Yeah, don't bring a ratchet ex girlfriend up to the show. Anyways, we're digressing. Um no, but I do think about that. Would you let her be on the show? Oh that's a hard one, right. Honestly, I kind of think we're both in the same boat on this one, and we want her to do whatever she feels passionate about doing. But it would be hard for us to let her go through that because I think it was a little traumatizing for us. Yeah. I'm so traumatized for sure too. No, I get that, I get it. But you're a success story, so you know, yeah, you know, things happen, it's all it's all a part of your journey, yeah, being a success story. Ari, do you have any advice for Peter and Lauren his winner? And then for him, I think the only advice we can really offer is just for tell him that he needs to follow his heart and not listen to other people because he knows himself best. It's like that's a good advice. Are y'all going to watch it? Oh? Yeah? Sorry? Oh yeah. Brian's a big fan of the show too, so he's he's all into Do you guys get anxiety when you watch it? Because I do, and I was, I mean, may not want to watch it anymore? But no, we're far enough removed from it now that we don't really get anxiety. Joe, does your anxiety ex didn't beyond episode two? Or is it just for the first one. It's funny because I was I never really I didn't really watch the show, but I watched because I was going through the process. I started watching our season, and I was just like freaking out every time I watched him. I can't do any of this, but yeah, I mean I still get anxiety when I watched that first night. I think it just really went bad for me. Well in the best way, in the best way. Send me Home's true, that's true, Laurie. Do you still Laurie? Laurie? Oh? Is that what people call y'all? I guess it's just just rolled it just it just rolled off. Um, Lauren, do you still talk to any of the girls from your season? Are you close from them? I do? Yeah? With him? I mean, who are you close with them? Um? I talked to Jackie, Jenna, Michael, mariektently. Lauren. You name those people and I have no idea who they are. Joe. The word girls that didn't end up at the end, mostly, but you know what, that's Honestly, I get that. I always Joe and I have I think it was Joe and I having that conversation about how or somebody else. I don't know how the people who go sometimes, the people who go home the first, like sooner, are the cooler ones versus the ones who stay longer. That's right. Yeah, like maybe like they're not they're not like as good TV, but they're really good friends, you know. I don't know. That was kind of my experience too, so I understand that. Yeah. Oh NCN too, I love her. Oh yeah, see it wasn't she at your bachelorette party. Yeah, I'm gonna get the details from her. I'm gonna get the crazy. I'm gonna ask her to tell me what happened crazy, and we're gonna talk about it next week on the podcast. All Right, you guys, anything else exciting happening? I mean, I thought you were going to do a baby announcement, So since you aren't, or you're whole keeping that to yourself for about little Harrison, what's next hare you guys? Little hair Um, Well, we're just living our normal life over here. We're doing we're building a house. We're starting to build houses. And flip houses together. Oh yeah, I'm working on a couple other projects. It'll come out next year. Anything else exciting happening? Then? What's happening in our lives? Would you guys do a show? Would you guys do a house flipping show? I mean that seems to be popular and you guys are both interested in that. Yeah, I think that. Yeah, Okay, you heard it here first. Guys. Yeah, we're just um, I don't know, we're just like we have so many things going on, like random things. But yeah, I got my broker's license, so I'll probably be opening a brokerage. I'll do your real estate here in Arizona. Lauren starting a clothing line that she's been working on. Yeah, and then what else? Just raising our little daughter? Are you still racing? You know? I did. I only did one race this year, and I just kind of backed it down for because I knew it'd be tough to travel with Lessie to all the races. But I'll probably do more next year. That's not really my main focus anymore. I mean I would say real estate it's my main focus. But if someone offers me a ride, then I would jump in the car just because it's fun. I think, does that worry you, Lauren, that he's racing and now you have the baby, because I would it would freak me out. Not I've actually been in the truck with him before and it's just like a big steel cage, so I think he's pretty protected in there. Yeah. She's like yeah, She's like, he's good. He doesn't do it that often, so I don't have to worry about it too much. Well, that's good, Lauren. Is your clothing line going to be for adults or for children? It will be for adults initially. Okay, oh initially? What kind of clothes is it? Like sportswear or dresses or um, it's more like lifestyle dresses and like fun tops and skirts and stuff like that. That's awesome. Okay, you'll have to send it to me so I can instagram. Wait, I have a question. Can you explain to me your experience on Long Island medium? That was super interesting? I actually we were asked if we were interested in doing it, and I immediately said yes and Ari immediately said no, So we obviously went skeptic. Yeah, so I did a medium show. I did, Uh, Tyler, you did, Tyler Henry yeah, they never did. Yeah, they yeah, just never got aired. But yeah, because I'm a skeptic, Like, listen, if you I think if you could talk to the dead, um, I just think you can't. I just don't think it's possible. But no, no, did this one? How did it go? Like? What? What did she say? Are you allowed to tell? Yeah? Yeah, so they aired it, um what a week ago? Yeah, we haven't seen yet. But there were just so many details that she knew about me that really just kind of, I don't know, made me believe right away. Oh yeah, she was really focused on convincing ari. I think. Yeah, I feel bad because we went there because Lauren was really wanted to get a reading, and then she was just like her energy was apparently apparently the people in the room talking to her were all focused on me, except for your grandfather too. Yeah she said he was shy. I just but there were things that she said. You know, she'd be like, in your destroyer on the right hand side, you have a tray full of coins from other countries that you don't plan on spending it, but you just have it there to have it there? Would she know that? Okay? Really? See does anybody else know that that. She would like, you can't Lauren, didn't even know that. But if you look at my destroyer boom, it's right there. One thing that really freaked me out, and she's like, is your daughter's room colder than every other room in your house? And I was like, yes, She's like, that's because your grandfather's spirits are in there watching over her, not the children. I would see. I don't think I could handle that. I mean, I think my curiosity would get the best of me and I'd want to do it. But if she said something that was like the coins or the coldness of the room, I mean, do you turn up the heat now, Lessie's room and what's happening there? You gotta turn up the heat, so push him out. I can't. I can't come back later. I can't. I can't handle that. Or I would say if if she was saying someone was talking to someone, I would be like, can you ask them to speak up so maybe I could hear. I just but Joe, you've done it. How was it for you? Ah? It was. It was difficult for me. But I'm a I'm a huge skeptic, so I feel like anything that you could find about me, you just find that on the internet and then figure it out. Did he tell you anything deep? Like what um she told Ri? No, Like if she would have said, like, you have you know, purples, I don't have purple socks. I don't know why I'm using that as an example. But if like she's like, you have purple socks in your middle drawer and I went in there and I had like purple socks, I'd be like, I believe, I'm a believer. But that didn't happen. And I don't have purple socks. I have like white and gray socks. I don't know where this is going. Just no one listened to me anymore. Listen. I mean, I think, well, let me ask you guys this after both having already know how Joe feels, but after having this experience, would you suggest other people do it? I would? I mean, I felt I got a lot out of it. I think that my grandfather's relationship like it was something that was really important to me growing up. He was a huge role model, and he's sort of what led me into my racing career. My dad was always sort of tentative when it came to that, but he was always supported me, and I felt like when he passed away, there was a lot that I wanted to tell him that I didn't get to tell him. And I feel like when I was racing, I was always trying to sort of prove my worth to him because he was that kind of figure in my life. So it was really cool to listen to what she had to say and that he was there, you know, in all the moments in my life, like like on our wedding day, I was wearing his watch and she said that he was there, he was proud of me. And so there's just a lot of things I really took from that conversation that was really cool for me. That's really special that you had that I would have lost it all right, Yeah, like I would have. That would have really made me emotional. But I'm really happy that you got that experience. I'm gonna have to I'm gonna have to see if I can apply to UM the show to be on the show. At this point, you need to. You need to. It's crazy. It is pretty cool. Okay, you guys, it's been so great talking to you. But we can't let you go without playing a little game with you. We're a game called guess who it's the mommy and daddy addition. Obviously mom first, daddy, Oh, mom versus daddy addition. And so the way this is going to work is we're going to say a statement or a question and then you have to say who is more likely to do it? Mommy or daddy? Wait? Is that what a Listen? What is she going to call you? Is it gonna be daddy, dad, papa, pop, mom, mama, dad, mom, mama, mommy, whatever whatever she can say? Yeah, Okay, first question, who had a feeling Lauren was pregnant? First? Mommy or daddy? Well, daddy definitely me. Really, I was like, you're creating meatballs at eleven am? This Yeah, she was in denial. Oh my gosh, meatballs at eleven am. Come on, Lauren, you knew, you knew. I think I could possibly be pregnant. It's just a weird thought. She was like crushing red meat for like four days, or you were like, let's have steak. I'm like, we had it last night. What's wrong? And just wake up A lot's meatballs? Okay? Okay, who was more nervous about the labor Mommy or daddy? My mommy? I mean wouldn't you be Yeah, I mean sense, it makes sense. The person's coming out of her, not you. So for sure, who does a lessie resemble more mommy or daddy? Everyone says me? Everyone says Ari, But I think she looks like me. Did you put up a baby picture at one point? Mm hmm yeah, so I would have said Ari, and then you put up a baby picture and I was like, okay, no, Lauren. Yeah, she looks a lot like my baby pictures. But she definitely has Ari's eyes and that's her color. Then that's why they say Aria. I feel like if you you can tell from someone's eyes, yeah, that's who they look like. Yeah, okay, who changes more diapers? Mommy or daddy? I'm gonna say fifty fifty? Yeah that's pretty even. Oh that's so good you guys. How is that? By the way, Yeah, it's a pit stop. I tried to tire myself. I mean, Ari, did you ever change a diaper? If you guys change a diaper before your baby? Actually the first diaper change was Sean's Samuel Sean's baby. Okay, who takes more photos of a lessie? Oh gosh, ah, she's gonna be a daddy's girl, for sure, we all are. I feel like, who would install who would install a tracking device? Whoa mama bears worried about everything? That's my job, that's true. Do you have a tracking She bettered out, I'm up on the bachelor tracker butt right back home? Who will spoil a Lessie more? I feel like we both will? Yeah, I don't know. We don't know who's going to be the discipline and to give the discipline because that's tough. Yeah, we thought it would be me, but I'm pretty soft. Yeah. Who would you're figuring out? Who would use a Lessie as an excuse for being late? And who wrote these questions? Definitely definitely, she goes and now that she's had a Lessie, now Lessie's like, oh she was so tough. I couldn't job the house stop it. Who knows all the words and dance moves to Baby Sharks? Really we were just singing it before we got on the phone with you. Oh my gosh, Well, who knows all the words and dance moves to? This is how we do it? By Montell Jordan's definitely daddy. Who will be more of a disciplinarian? Oh that's what we were just talking about. We don't know. I think I think Lauren. I think Lauren too. Yeah, I'm convinced that's the tracking device. And the reason why I think this is because she is when it comes to the dogs like, I'm just like, they're fine, and you're and she's like, get in your call because I have to put the baby back to sleep when they wake her up. They're always in trouble. Yeah, okay. And who's the first one to wake up early to feed a lessie? Oh, mommy, for sure, Mommy, sure, I think I did get in the beginning. Now, I tried. I tried as much to participate, but as a guy, there's only so much you can do. You don't have the milk. Okay, here's a hero's a real dark one who will be the one who will be the one to break the news about Santa to a lessie. Neither of us. No, we're gonna the kids at school. We're going to keep her in denial until she's like in her twenties. Well, she's probably gonna end up on the Bachelor. I still remember the person who told me Santa Claus wasn't real. I remember her first and last name, it's a traumatizing thing. So remember when I found out, I asked Olivia. When I found out, I asked my mom. I'm like, so this you mean to tell me the Easter bunny isn't real either? And she goes, well, if you think a giant bunny hops around and goes to the house, the house. And I was like, Okay, I get it, I get it. I've good to see you now, man, very very I love your mom. That's hilarious. All right, Well, thank you Ari and Lauren for calling in and chatting with us. Okay, you guys, we've been doing this podcast for a few months now, and it's come to my attention that I I need to get some things off my chest, and so we're going to have this new segment called Rachel's Rant. Now, that doesn't mean that I'm always going to be ranting about contestants. Or things that have happened in batter Nation. Sometimes it's just things that have bothered me in life, in pop culture. Maybe it's sports, maybe it's some big headline news. I don't know, something that just has me in a tizzy this week. So in the spirit of Rachel's rant, here we go. Oh I'm ready for this. So I wish I could actually refer to it because the girl actually blocked me on social media. But this week I had someone right on. I posted an interview that I did with Extra or Extra with Robert Pattinson, and I was really proud of this interview. It is my first time doing a press junket. I was really happy to have this opportunity and it's something that I've been working towards. So I am not a person who gets flustered or bothered by people writing negative or even positive things on social media. But this one got me because this is a reoccurring thing for US Bachelor Nation folks. But do you read all these cameras? No? But I saw this one, Okay, so you do read a little bit. But oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I read a little bit because sometimes I like to respond, but I do. If you're not reading I don't believe people who say they don't read anything. I don't read anything, okay except for you, Joe, but lying because I do, especially brand go ahead, no rant no. But so this this person, this girl writes on my page and she says, aren't you a lawyer? Didn't you used to be a lawyer. I am so sick of influencers taking jobs when people who go to school, get a degree, work really hard to have these roles and they don't get these type and we can't get these type of jobs because influencers are taking over for them, are over these jobs. And I wrote back and I said, sis, I am so sorry. I said something about I am sorry that you've got this crab mentality, you know, where you're always trying to pull people down when they when they make it to the top. It's it's really big in black culture. Um she was black, So I I and then I just go off about it. But my biggest thing was you have no idea. People see you as a bachelorette or grocery store Joe, and they have no idea what your journey was to get there. So it bothers me that you think that I'm just an influencer, as if my life started three years ago when I walked out of a limousine on National TV. I was thirty one when I did that, so I was living thirty one years before. You have no idea what my resume is, my job, experienced, my background that got me to sit in that seat and conduct that interview for extra little did this personnel that in college, That's exactly what I did. I worked for the sports information department, where I was writing magazine articles, articles on the internet, and I was interviewing athletes in all different sports. Plus my legal skills give me the background to be able to interview people because I have to do depositions and I'm in court and all of that stuff, and it takes a skill. It takes a skill to interview people. It's not easy. It's not just oh my god, I got popular in the Bachelor, so now I could interview so right, because everybody would be doing it. Everybody would be interviewing people. And or just because you went to school for it doesn't necessarily mean that you're entitled to have that job. Sometimes people take, you know, a non traditional path into how they get to a career, but it just really offended me. And she's not the first one. There have been multiple people who are like, oh my gosh, you quit your job just to be famous because I'm doing interviewing somebody, that means I want to be famous. No, like this is you have no idea what my background is, or how or what I did to get here, or the previous jobs that I've had. Just because you see me on the Bachelorette or The Bachelor, they think that that's when your life started. So that really I feel like I actually calmed down a bit. Ye right, I wouldn't seem pregnant anymore. You want to know what I would have responded to that? What would you have said? Ha ha, well a h a, look at me, I'm interviewing Batman. Well you know what I did do? I guess I wasn't forthcoming, So she wrote me back. I don't remember what she said, and then I said, Okay, okay, you seem really mad. I'm gonna go pick up my microphone and conduct another interview, or something something to that effect. I gotta excuse me, I gotta go pick up my microphone and conduct another interview. Got it. That's probably what probably got me blocked. But I just think that, you know, you shouldn't be so quick to judge somebody in regards to because they're on TV or they're an influencer, which I hate being titled as an influencer more than that. It's the worst, as if people you don't have anything more than being on TV. There's nothing more to you than being on TV. Me, no, no, that's pretty much all I um, yeah, no, it's there's nothing more aggravating than that. But at the same time, I look at it like, hey, I have to deal with that because this is the life that I chose to live, you know, in a sense, I mean, you don't have to deal with it. But I'm just like I heard an interview once with jay z Um and it was about I forgot what rapper it was about, and this rapper kept going at him and going at him, and the interviewer asked jay z like, why don't you what do you have to say about this? And he was just like, I don't even know who that is, yeah, because he's not on my level. So very true. That's how I like it, and I guess I do for the most part. You know, I don't go believe me if I wanted everybody, I would be exalted. I wouldn't have time to be here today. But I guess I just feel like people we do invite people into our lives going on reality TV. So it doesn't bother me when people give insight like that. As far as oh, maybe they comment on my relationship or maybe friendships that I have in vagination, or maybe things that have to do with love or stuff like that. That doesn't bother me because I put myself out there like that. But what I'm doing now, I just feel like it's really not your place to sum up my entire life in the last three years that I think that's what really gets to me is I worked hard to be where I was before I even stepped onto your television screen. So it really bothers me that people just, I guess, just want to simplify who I am to just being the bat on The Bachelor and then the Bachelor. Yeah. No, I know that's annoying, especially after you know, seeing it so many times. I mean, I I for seven years, I woke up at one thirty in the morning to go to work and work. I worked over ten hours a day, six days a week for seven years. Yeah, and it sucked. It's I'm an influencer. So I feel like, unless you call yourself an influencer, you shouldn't be We shouldn't be titled as influencers, right, Like, there are influencers and that's fine, and that's what they do. Yeah, but if I'm not calling myself that, please don't call me that just because we were on TV. I agree, I agree. I don't like that word anyways. Do you I don't like it? Do you give U something you want to rant about? Okay, Joe's rant, what can I rant about? I for? So for me, what I'm going to rant about today is I just watched the documentary on Netflix about Bill Gates and it talks about how eight hundred children die every day from diarrhea. You know, there's four billion people that can't go to the bathroom the way we go to the bathroom in this country, four billion billion with a bee. I mean, the sanitation problem in the world is heartbreaking. So for me, I try to put it in perspective. After I watched that, It's like I can't listen to people or myself complain about Instagram photos or the fact that my smoothie was nine dollars that I didn't like the way it tasted. Yeah, So for me, I'm just trying to realize that. You know, there's people in the world that have real fucking issues, and I'm not one of them. So I'm just happy to be here. That's my thing. Damn, he just put my ramp to I'm one of those people. I'm one of those people. No, it's easy to know, but it is easy to get upset. Listen, after you were you were messing with but you wore the lead and you've been in the spotlight for a long time. This is what you do now you're in entertainment. I'm totally messing with you. I just had to. I was like, no, I know, but I want to make myself. I want to make myself sound more mature, So just fucking let me go. Okay, here's my ring off. When I was going, okay, I was killing it. I was about to really just smash that day home. Listen, what you said is real and it's serious. And now I want to go watch this documentary and I encourage everybody else to watch it too. But we need to be reminded about that. You are right. Sometimes you can be so involved or just self absorbed and involved in what's going on in your little world and not realize that there are problems that are bigger than you and there are four billion people out here. What was the four billion people that can't go to the washroom the way like we do? I mean there's little things we take for credit. And Nigeria there's little girls that have I mean they have to go to the bathroom in groups or they'll get ready, Like that's a fact I can't even and I can't even fathom that. So you're right, like these little insipid things that we get upset about or complain about, there are bigger issues out there. And thank you Joe for that reminder.
