00:00:00 Speaker 1: You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio Final. 00:00:05 Speaker 2: Hour on this meet Friday, just went out to inspect the Wagou Steaks and Ribbi's Apple, Goudhas Sausages, Jalapano Cheddars sausages, garlic palms, sweet potato fries, and saute green beans. Who has it better than we do? Nobody Steaks and sausages courtesy of Heartland Steak Company. Next month, it's here the Winter Olympics from Milan beginning Friday, February sixth on NBC and Peacock. We are bracing for a big snowstorm. And I said to the dan Ets and the back room guys, if you want to stay here on Sunday and we kind of have a sleepover, then everybody can come in. We're just gonna need to get some sleeping bags. We do have our z cliners, the reclining chairs that they arrived yesterday, that I could probably put them somewhere in the man cave out by the football field, but they're looking at it at least a foot maybe two feet of snow and it's going to come in on Sunday, so I want to make sure you guys are here on Monday, and I don't know if any of you are going to take me up on the offer to stay here on Sunday and then we all watch football. I got beer on tap, We'll have food. Todd, are you interested in staying here on Sunday? 00:01:26 Speaker 3: I think I'm going to stay. 00:01:27 Speaker 4: In a hotel, especially because I can't be around anyone. We saw that like with the Super Bowl with the with the Panthers. I just I have to watch the game, you know, by myself. So I'm gonna I am going to stay in a hotel so that I'm close to the studio for a London. 00:01:40 Speaker 2: I'd like to have you in here, camaraderie, sleepover, bonding. 00:01:45 Speaker 4: Normally I would take you up on that as long, especially if there's gonna be food involved. 00:01:48 Speaker 2: If I if I make you pay for your hotel or you're going to stay in a hotel, if I have to pay for that, yeah, yeah, because I'm the one that has to pay for your hotel. 00:01:56 Speaker 4: Room, I probably lay like I probably sleep right in this chair here just they hear from now until Monday, or or the couch. 00:02:02 Speaker 2: Bo okay, But if you're going to stay at a hotel, you got to make sure you get in here on Monday. 00:02:06 Speaker 3: Oh definitely. That would be the whole reason for giving up my whole No, you've done comfort of my house. 00:02:10 Speaker 2: I just just saying, just saying, yeah. 00:02:13 Speaker 5: If you want, I can save you. I have a deal to save both of us money. Okay, what if I save you the hotel money and I also save me the expense of hiring someone to clear the snow and we zoom in on Monday. 00:02:31 Speaker 2: That doesn't work for you know, we like being together and we do. Yeah. 00:02:34 Speaker 5: I mean it's like covid Y's snovid winterstorm snowvid. Yeah, that is happening. I just stay home, I zoom in. We can do the poll question, we can do all that stuff. Then I can clear the snow where I need to clear it. You save the money of the hotel room. Sounds like a win wind to me, all in favor. 00:02:54 Speaker 2: I eyes have it to think about. Marvin. You're close enough by that you're gonna stay at home. You'll be at the house, all right, Paulie at the house. Okay, I know the back room. I think everybody in the back room is going to be staying here on Sunday afternoon. And I said, hey, you know what have fun? Is that a bonding mover? 00:03:14 Speaker 5: An expense move. There's a lot of hotel rooms. 00:03:18 Speaker 2: Oh they no, no. If the big german said, if you guys want to get a hotel rooms, you can. It's your choice. I'm fine with it. We have a hotel nearby, so I've already said if you want to stay at a hotel, great, If you want to come in here you can. And once again, we have food, We got beer on top, we got TVs, we got all the comforts of home. Yes, Paulie, a couple of things. 00:03:41 Speaker 6: The brgs are going to drink your bar dry. It's okay, guarantee, that's okay. Number two, we're setting the over under at eleven and a half inches in our parking lot. If anyone wants to get in on that bet, I'm going to go over okay. Lastly, never forget the twenty eleven incident where Fritzi stayed at the local hotel. His car was snowed and he asked the seventeen year old girl at the front desk to dig him out, not a barrow, a shovel. 00:04:07 Speaker 3: She seemed nice enough. 00:04:08 Speaker 2: Would you do me a favor? Sturdy sturdy back on. Hey, you got ahead, I would you at least take a snowshovel with you when you go to the hotel on Sunday. 00:04:21 Speaker 3: I have one in the back of the truck. 00:04:23 Speaker 4: Actually, I got my hat and gloves and like a small shovel, not one of these big ones. 00:04:27 Speaker 3: But I may have to consider a large shovel. 00:04:29 Speaker 2: Okay, But do not ask the poor girl who's working overnights to go out and shovel the snow. Well. 00:04:35 Speaker 4: She was trying to show me some kind of way where you take like a mat and put it under the tie or something like that to give it some tread or some skid whatever she was doing. 00:04:41 Speaker 3: But I just prefer when someone else does it. 00:04:43 Speaker 2: Final hour. Here we have the most must win game of the weekend and our predictions. Who had the best week in sports? So three o'clock on Sunday, Patriots Broncos. The Broncos are four and a half point underdogs. They were five and a half yesterday. Rams at the Seahawks six eastern. The Rams are still getting two and a half. Good morning. If you're watching on Peacock, thank you our streaming partner. Download the app if you haven't done. So I set the fan base on fire because I had the audacity earlier to say I would at least explore trading the number one overall pick if I'm the Raiders. Go back to the Bryce Young trade. So the Bears received So they gave the Panthers the opportunity to take the number one overall pick and turned out to be Bryce Young. The Bears got DJ Moore, The Bears got the ninth overall pick in the first round. They got a second round pick twenty twenty four, They got a first round pick twenty twenty five, a second round pick. Well, this has helped them build a team that is, you know, dangerous. Now moving forward, Now you're sending Bryce Young to a team that wasn't very good and he struggled mightily those first couple of years. They make the playoffs with a losing record, but the Bears, you know, the Bears were a real threat in the playoffs. So the Bears did benefit from that by trading the number one overall pick. Carolina got him. They paid a lot for him. This is what I'm saying about the Raiders. If you say to the Jets want you want Fernando Mendoza this is what we want to first this year to first next year. Maybe they say you're crazy. Okay, Arizona you interested. I mean you could go down the list of a couple of teams that you go, hey, are you interested in overpaying? I think Carolina had the ninth overall pick and they traded up to get the number one pick. All right, no harm if you know somebody is not going to give you a treasure trow for it, but I'd certainly consider it. Yes, Paulie. 00:06:55 Speaker 6: Yeah, the Bears turned that into as you said, DJ Moore. But they also got Darnell right, he's a Pro Bowl offensive tackle. They got Kayla Williams because the Carolina was so bad the next year, and they got Luther Burden, who has been a nice receiver this year. He got lots of time to make this pick. 00:07:09 Speaker 2: Yeah, and I mentioned maybe the Colts would be interested in Mendoza because you don't know about Danny Dimes coming back. Anthony Richardson's big question mark. Keep in mind the Colts they traded away their first round pick for the next two drafts for Sauce Gardner. Oops. Some phone calls coming up, by the way, Charles Barkley who When Charles Barkley was leaving TNT going to the Mothership, and he said, oh, they better not put me on all those shows, O Show and everything. And now all of a sudden, I saw the headline Charles Barkley wants to work more. He repeatedly said this that he didn't want to work on ESPN's other studio programming like Get Up and First Take. He was on Dan Levittard Show and he talked about how he wants to work more. 00:08:06 Speaker 7: We've only been on ESPN I think four times in three months. We did like the first two weeks. We were off all of December to Christmas, and we're off into all of January until the twenty fourth. 00:08:18 Speaker 2: I don't like that at all. 00:08:20 Speaker 7: What I was talking about working all the time, because I man, I love watching basketball. I'm not gonna do all these damn shows. That's the part. I'm not gonna be on ESPN one, two, three, Desportes, not Joval, Echo, whatever they call it. I'm not gonna be doing all that. But I wish that we had been on more during the first half of the season. 00:08:45 Speaker 2: Yeah, if I'm spending this money, I have them on once a week, even if they're not leading into a game. I'd have them on at five o'clock Eastern. Maybe you just do a half hour round table. There's a lot of topics here they could lead into part in the interruption. I need to see them, and you know, the schedule's been unbalanced. I think the head of ESPN President of Content, Bert Magnus called the backloaded schedule in imperfect situation from our perspective. But I got to have I got to have these guys somewhere on the network. The problem is you can get lost on ESPN. You can because there are so many people, so many shows. But I got to make way so people know that Barkley and Shaq and Kenny Ernie, they're going to be here on a more regular basis, consistent basis. But I mean, I don't know if Charles wants to work more. I think he would like to. I mean, you do miss the airtime, and you missed that time when you're together with one another, but it can't be disjointed like this. For the amount of money that that show cost and you're going to bring them in, it was a big deal. Like I only watched TNT to watch them. I mean I did watch uh Risolian Aisles. 00:10:10 Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I to always get like a nice little like a little Law and Order, whichever one it is, like, I'll watch this for a couple of minutes. 00:10:19 Speaker 2: That's fun. I haven't watched a Law and Order yet, and I'm not gonna start. No, that's insane. I have never seen a Law in Order. 00:10:28 Speaker 8: No SVU, no, no withet. 00:10:31 Speaker 2: No, no. I light heat on that one. 00:10:36 Speaker 5: Murska har Hargate and that SVU a lot of heat. 00:10:39 Speaker 3: Kelly Gettish the blonde one. 00:10:40 Speaker 2: Come on, I did meet Kelly. Yeah I missed. Yeah, well one of my best friends. 00:10:49 Speaker 6: That show is hard to not watch. I mean like you could just be walking down the street an episode will come on on a jumbo. 00:10:55 Speaker 2: I've never seen an episode of s v U s U V It's perfect. 00:10:59 Speaker 9: For you because it's an easy watch. 00:11:01 Speaker 6: Someone dies, they investigate, the guy either goes to jail or gets off. 00:11:06 Speaker 9: Move on. 00:11:06 Speaker 2: I just have no interest in it. None. Sorry, but I would only watch TND because I was gonna watch that show. But the Mothership has got it. You got to carve out must see TV. You know they've lost that appointment viewing because they took away around the horn. You do have part in the interruption, but man, showcase it have them on and the number of things that they will say that then you can repurpose on other shows. You can repurpose on Sports Center. Got to get your money's worth out of this. Loo couldn't be helping the mothership once again? Yes, Bony, by. 00:11:43 Speaker 6: The way that Rizzolian Isle show. I'd rob a bank for Anngie Harmon arrest me? 00:11:47 Speaker 10: Man? 00:11:47 Speaker 2: Oh man? When I saw Angie Harmon in person. 00:11:51 Speaker 9: Like an eclipse? 00:11:52 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't know. I don't know if the show is any good. I don't know if it's any good either. I never saw the show, seen twenty of them. I've only seen like the Oh here's the promo for it. But Angie Harmon in person? Dang? 00:12:07 Speaker 8: Yes, Marvin when t had the NBA you wake up in the morning? Oh, another episode of. 00:12:12 Speaker 2: Charms score AnyWho? Yeah? Oh man? So Charles wants to work more? Yeah? 00:12:31 Speaker 5: Who ever thought would say that? 00:12:32 Speaker 2: I know I didn't think I would. He was doing his best to not work more. But every Thursday night they were on. Right, you get done with dinner, you turn tune in. You know I might not be interested in the game, but they weren't interested in the game for the most part. Perfect show. Let me just watch you guys do great TV. Yes, Marv. 00:12:55 Speaker 8: Wait, wait, he didn't say he wanted to work more. He wanted to do his show more. He doesn't want to go on the morning show and get up in first take, in last take and Steve and A's other show. 00:13:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe they'll figure it out. So they've been on five times I think in three months at this point. Last season, what were they on fourteen times? 00:13:18 Speaker 9: It would have been twelve times this point. 00:13:20 Speaker 2: Yeah, but we knew when they were going to be on. So what do I know? What do I know about programming here content? 00:13:35 Speaker 6: I'd be okay getting falsely accused of a crime if Angie Harmon. 00:13:38 Speaker 2: If Angie Harmon arrested me, I'd be like, all right, put me in handcuffs please, bonus coverage and then I'll put you in a handcuff. What come on tod Family Show. Get Angie Harmon on the phone please? 00:13:52 Speaker 3: Three? 00:13:52 Speaker 2: Yeah? What's poll question for the final hour? To program this meet Friday on this meet for yeah, or we have a big sleepover. Yeah, Yeah, let's go. I'm seeing weird pictures of Todd right now. I didn't plan on that. How do you feel when your team chirps before a big game? 00:14:12 Speaker 9: Love it or hate it? 00:14:13 Speaker 5: Right now, seventy seven hate it. Nobody likes the chirping. That might be a fans hate it, media loves it. But kind of situation. See, I don't know if this is really chirping. Sean Payton expects to win. And he said, hey, when we win this game, we'll get two weeks off before the super Bowl. And then one of the Patriots says, oh, they're going to be resting in can Kun in two weeks. Okay, No one cares Sean Payton if he said, well, I hope we get an extra week's rest after, you know, maybe when we win this game. Sean Payton expects to win this game. Patriots expect to win this game. It's okay, Yes, Mark. 00:14:57 Speaker 8: You don't need bulletin board material for the game to go to the super Bowl. That's the last thing you need. 00:15:02 Speaker 2: I don't think you do. 00:15:03 Speaker 8: You're already pumped up for it. 00:15:04 Speaker 2: I don't think you do. But you know, it's a new era, new generation here, Marvin. 00:15:11 Speaker 8: Yes, Mark, and the only bulletin board material is when the analysts make their picks and somebody says, see, see nobody believed in us. That's the beef. 00:15:20 Speaker 2: Now, Now that does work because it worked with the Patriots and the Texans and everybody on NFL Live. I think took the Texans and I kept going, are you guys crazy? The Patriots are playing at home, bad weather. I know that's a good defense, but we're getting three points at home. And this one makes me nervous too, that it's the Patriots favorite. It was five and a half, now it's four and a half. Oh now it's like, oh boy, yes, yes, Ton And. 00:15:53 Speaker 4: When it's twenty seven to twenty three Broncos, it will be oh, they just missed it. 00:15:56 Speaker 3: It was just under with the four. 00:15:58 Speaker 4: So that's I thought a few days ago, I was predicting twenty seven twenty three Broncos. It's just interesting how it's creeping up closer to a four point margin. 00:16:06 Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're saying you win the game, but the Broncos would win out right twenty seconds. Then you don't have to worry about the church. 00:16:12 Speaker 3: I'm showing how much I know about You would. 00:16:14 Speaker 2: Have no clue on how that actually in some. 00:16:16 Speaker 4: Way that I'm so clueless about better, I think that's actually a good thing, okay for me, because if I got into that, I have an addictive personality, and then I'd be one of those people calling the phone number that I just lost my kids scholarship money. 00:16:29 Speaker 2: If it was scholarship money, then you didn't lose it. It's a scholarship. I'm not doing that. This whole thing has messed you up today when you were sitting down, we were have our morning meeting, and I'm just looking at seat and like, oh, what is going on with this? 00:16:46 Speaker 4: I don't know why I got that upset over a point spread, because I don't as if I would have lost money onto something, you know, a bad beat. But I'm like five and a half, show some respect, eyes darting around at everybody. 00:16:56 Speaker 5: Oh all right, dude, that should be four and a half. 00:17:00 Speaker 2: Now, should be three? 00:17:00 Speaker 3: In it a mile high. This guy's a good quarter. 00:17:02 Speaker 2: But said ton, it doesn't matter. It doesn't though apparently Jared Stter has ever thrown a football. Apparently he can't even play it is what we're saying. 00:17:10 Speaker 3: Look, theriots are gonna play? 00:17:11 Speaker 8: Is it gonna be? 00:17:12 Speaker 2: The Rams? You got your your arms were waving, you got your Broncos sweat bands on your flailed my arms. 00:17:18 Speaker 5: I don't do a lot of flailing, but twenty three, twenty two fourth quarter comeback, twenty four twenty five. 00:17:24 Speaker 2: What fourth court? Third quarter? 00:17:26 Speaker 3: Three yard Dutch Show has a tough place to play. They had a pretty good defense. 00:17:30 Speaker 2: Last night, So it doesn't matter. 00:17:34 Speaker 3: It just doesn't matter. 00:17:35 Speaker 2: It doesn't matter what the point spread is. 00:17:38 Speaker 4: Justly, since I don't even know what that means or who creates it or how it's created, it really shouldn't matter to me. 00:17:42 Speaker 2: When we come back the most must win game of the weekend. We're back after this. 00:17:49 Speaker 1: Be sure to catch the live edition of The Dan Patrick Show week days at nine am Eastern six am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio wapp. 00:17:58 Speaker 11: Hey is Kubino and Rich from Fox Sports Radio Now. In addition to hearing us live weekdays from five to seven pm Eastern two to four Pacific on Fox Sports Radio, We're excited to announce a brand new YouTube channel for the show. 00:18:11 Speaker 2: Yup, that's right. 00:18:12 Speaker 11: You can now watch Covino and Rich live on YouTube every day. All you gotta do search Covino and rich FSR on YouTube again. Go to YouTube search Covino en rich FSR. Check us out on YouTube, subscribe, hit that thumbs up icon, and comment away. 00:18:29 Speaker 2: Obviously, these games are most must win games of the weekend. 00:18:34 Speaker 9: They feel like it. 00:18:35 Speaker 2: But what about if we singled out a quarterback or coach, now maybe a network NBC the matchup that they would want for the Super Bowl. So the most must win game of the weekend. But who's gonna benefit the most from that? 00:18:54 Speaker 4: Todd, I'm gonna lead up with Sean Payton, and the reasons are a second Super Bowl winning with two different teams Saints and Broncos, doing it with a backup quarterback, and he already kind of predicted they're gonna win the game. So that Sean Payton comes to mind first for me. 00:19:07 Speaker 2: Well, wait a minute, you're getting ahead of yourself. You're this is just this game, correct, So he would only be going into another Super Bowl. You're guaranteeing that he's going to win another Super Bowl. 00:19:19 Speaker 4: Okay, I guess I'm saying that if they get past New England, then the two weeks it's meant to be. If they get past New England, which did them, then they're going to rally and take the whole. 00:19:29 Speaker 2: Thing, all right, Seaton most must win game of the weekend. 00:19:33 Speaker 5: Uh Man, I'm gonna say it's must win for Matthew Stafford and the Rams. You can't lose to a Sam Darnald led team no offense. And I think if we're talking about legacy, another Super Bowl appearance, just appearance for Matthew Stafford might help his legacy quite a bit rather than bowing out MVP season. Yeah, get to the super Bowl at least and it'll make you a first ballot Hall of Fame. If he would win another Super Bowl with the MVP and then the other Super Bowl, then you know, the latter part of his career makes him a first ballot Hall of Famer. Finishing stronger too, like he started out, you know, phenomenal and finished even stronger. That's a hell of a legacy. 00:20:17 Speaker 8: How about you, Marvin, I'm gonna go with Sam Donald. I think coming back from the Jets vikings now here, let's do it. 00:20:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you on that because everything that when we talk about Seattle, we talk about well Sam Donald comes down to Sam Donald. How well will Sam Donald play? Yes, Pauline. 00:20:39 Speaker 6: I'll go with the Patriots. I don't think the national media loves the Patriots or think they're great. You know, easier schedule this year, but they're way ahead of schedule and it may not happen again. If you're Drake May and you could kind of steal a Super Bowl ring this early in your career, you become on scholarship for quite a long time, and. 00:20:56 Speaker 2: We love to do this. Well, if they lose, they'll be back. There's no guarantee. You just ask Joe Burrow and go back to Dan Marino. Win the game, get in the game, get in the Super Bowl, and there's no guarantee that you will be back. Obviously. Stat of the Day has been brought to you by great folks at Panini America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. Craig and Fort Wayne. Good morning, Craig. What's on your mind? All right? 00:21:26 Speaker 12: And you've got two years? Yeah, and it doesn't matter if you're a GM or head coach. Would you prefer to be in the position of having the Falcons roster which is really good and having to find the QB or be someone like the Titans have your QB and bild A roster, and these are for non playoff teams. 00:21:47 Speaker 2: Well, you do have two quarterbacks, and Michael Pennix, you know, might be a franchise quarterback. I never would have drafted him. I am Kirk Cousins. You'll have him for another year. I like having that ross because I got to surround cam Ward and there's no guarantee that I'm surrounding him with great talent anytime soon. Falcons got some defensive players as well. They got a couple of good defensive players, and you got some skilled position players. So I'd rather have the Falcons. Let's see Jake and Buffalo. Good morning, Jake. 00:22:24 Speaker 10: ADP. I got a set of the day with an easy trivia question for you at the end. Since January twenty third, twenty and eleven, there had not been an AFC Championship game without either the Patriots or the Chiefsenate on the other side. Since that same day, January twenty third, twenty eleven, every NFC team has played in at least one NFC Championship game except one team and you name them. 00:22:49 Speaker 2: The team that hasn't played in an NFC Championship game. 00:22:54 Speaker 10: Correct. Since January twenty third, twenty. 00:22:57 Speaker 2: And eleven, so fifteen years the Bears. Nope, it's the. 00:23:04 Speaker 10: Dallas Cowboy sick. 00:23:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, yep, dang. Thank you. Jake Gus in Brooklyn, Hi, Gus, what's on your mine? 00:23:22 Speaker 1: Go Dan? 00:23:22 Speaker 13: Thanks for taking the call. 00:23:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, is. 00:23:29 Speaker 13: Calling because I have the newest member of Dan Nation here. His name is Arlo. Came out seven pounds thirteen ounces. Thank you calling because we're about two weeks in. I'm a producer in sports media, still kind of early in the career, about like five years in kind of calling like for a little advice in terms of just like things that you remember kind of being early on two week old newborn, kind of going into all that as well as like Dan, that's just sort of like the memories and like kind of navigating that because you know, we're we're hanging in there. It's going well well, but it's a lot, you know, so I'm just kind of curious about that and kind of you guys have any advice on that, and thank you so much for party on. 00:24:07 Speaker 2: All right, Thank you guys. When we first when when we had our first job and we brought my son home and I remember we propped him up on the bed with some pillows around him, and we my wife and I looked at each other like, oh my god, we're responsible. Now what do we do? It just happens. It just works. But I will say, be as present as possible because I went back to work. You know, there's now you get three months off in some cases, and I think I took a day or two because my wife said, just go back to work and I was working second shift with when all of my kids were born. But be as president as possible and helping hand or two, volunteer to do everything, and give your wife breaks where you just say, hey, why don't you run errands or if you just want to go someplace, whatever it is, just get out of the house. I got this and it you know, as you add more, it gets chaotic, but it gets to a point where it can't get more chaotic. When we had four under the age of seven, it was chaos, but three under the age of six was chaos. Two under the age of four was you know, So it just it's chaotic. But be as present as you can. Chances are your hours will be crazy in this business, so you got to factor that in as well. 00:25:43 Speaker 5: Yes, even sleep when they sleep don't worry about errands, don't worry about yours, don't worry about doing the dishes and all of that crap. Don't worry about it. 00:25:53 Speaker 9: Sleep. 00:25:53 Speaker 5: When they sleep in your life is going to be so much more manageable. 00:25:56 Speaker 2: But when they don't sleep and you're planning to sleep, man, that is tough. You're like, go to sleep. Come on, yes, Marvin. 00:26:06 Speaker 8: And don't take anything for granted. Shout out to all my nick you parents. My son was in a NICKU the first month of his life, had surgery twenty four hours after he was born, So do not take anything for granted. 00:26:16 Speaker 3: To work. 00:26:16 Speaker 8: Oh, what's he look like? What type of hair? 00:26:18 Speaker 2: Nope? 00:26:18 Speaker 8: Nope, just be happy they're healthy. Yes, that's it. 00:26:22 Speaker 2: Yes. We were in intensive care with my first daughter and you think, oh my god, you know she's in intensive care, and then you go down there with the premies and then you're like, oh my god, like my daughter is healthy compared to them and those nurses, Oh my goodness, that is hero work what they do. 00:26:44 Speaker 6: Yeah, Paulie, remember when your baby would first start to fall asleep for chunks of time and you'd hear a little from the other room, and you just sit there holding your breath, breathing shallowly, not moving, not creaky. 00:26:58 Speaker 9: Don't turn in the bed like a BOM's gonna go off. 00:27:03 Speaker 2: I remember opening up a beer and my wife is like, really, I go. 00:27:08 Speaker 9: I just opened the beer. 00:27:11 Speaker 2: Do that outside. But you would look at that baby monitor as if you could look at the monitor and and tell your child to go back to sleep, like you just gave it a death stare, like you better right to sleep. And you got to master this when the baby starts to cry that you act like you don't hear the baby crying. I mean I I was pretty good at that. My wife would be. 00:27:34 Speaker 9: Like, oh, I won't you get up? 00:27:35 Speaker 2: Why don't you get up with him? 00:27:36 Speaker 5: Huh he oh, oh that's him crying. That's part of that helping hands or two you were talking about. Yeah there, Yeah, it's two hands over your ears. I can't what are you saying. I don't know what you're saying. 00:27:49 Speaker 2: Yeah, who had the best week in sports? Who had the best week in sports? Toddle'll start with you. 00:27:59 Speaker 4: It's not the way you want to get such a huge opportunity. But I'm gonna say, Jared Stidham, he gets to host the AFC Title Game. Unfortunately it's because bo Nick's got hurt. But that's the best week in sports. This guy is in the total spotline in his one win somehow away from the super Bowl, just like that. Okay, to put how to get the Broncos in this somehow Stidham didn't do anything. 00:28:24 Speaker 3: He's about to have the best week at sports. 00:28:26 Speaker 2: So Bonex was a good injury, then. 00:28:29 Speaker 4: No, I'm saying for Jared's Didham all of a sudden he goes from backup quarterback to hosting the AFC Title game as the starting quarterback. 00:28:35 Speaker 2: Guy, I don't think. I don't think. I think the host quarterbacks you drink water. I think the Broncos are hosting shows. 00:28:46 Speaker 3: The fans to their seats. He's not as enough time to do Seaton. 00:28:49 Speaker 2: How about you. 00:28:50 Speaker 5: I'm gonna say Mike Rabel has had the best week at sports. Absolute cooked the Beaxons. They're rolling through by far, the easiest schedule in the world to cruise to another Super Bowl appears first year there. 00:29:01 Speaker 2: That's great, okay, And the stakes are set Monday when the callers called in, the caller is always correct no matter what they say. The loser in the back row. Bet you have to agree with him, Todd. So if they say something negative about the Broncos or your wife or anybody. 00:29:19 Speaker 3: And I can't just agree with them, I have to say, you'll have to he'p support their point. 00:29:22 Speaker 2: Yes you do? Uh Marvin. 00:29:25 Speaker 8: Indiana football? Yeah they won the national title. That's it. 00:29:29 Speaker 2: Yep, you're right, Paulie. 00:29:31 Speaker 9: I'm there too. 00:29:32 Speaker 6: Kurt Signetti has college football and maybe sports immortality. It can never be taken away. And I'll say he may have the best twenty twenty six when we recap this. 00:29:40 Speaker 5: That's a good one by you guys. I didn't think of that one. Yeah, yeah, oh Indiana, Yeah, that's a pretty good week. 00:29:48 Speaker 2: Right, get a little starky. 00:29:51 Speaker 5: We saw them coming, I mean not for now that if Todd had said that, Paul ripped. 00:29:55 Speaker 2: His head around and been like, can't you do something original? 00:30:00 Speaker 3: Really? Did you? 00:30:01 Speaker 2: Not obvious thing in the whole world? 00:30:03 Speaker 9: I had, Jared Stinnamus taken. 00:30:06 Speaker 3: Sorry about that, Todd. 00:30:08 Speaker 2: Really, can't you do something that requires some thought that's original? 00:30:16 Speaker 8: What didna do this week? 00:30:18 Speaker 2: Nothing? He didn't do anything. 00:30:21 Speaker 3: You could have the best week in sports by doing nothing. Just from some medical news look at you wow. 00:30:28 Speaker 2: In the week and how you think of it now? You think it's scripted? Yeah, yeah, yeah, nothing, This show is not scripted. 00:30:35 Speaker 3: That's just cold and unnecessary, is what that was. 00:30:37 Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna uh, I'm gonna cheer you up. 00:30:41 Speaker 3: Though. 00:30:41 Speaker 2: I got u wagou steaks out there, sausages. You already tried something shoes I did. Yeah. I went out there and Mario the Eyes and Ears of the show is grabbing a piece of steak, and I said, get the hell out of here, go back and direct the show. 00:30:54 Speaker 3: Why does the host get to have it first? I don't get it. 00:30:56 Speaker 12: I know. 00:30:57 Speaker 2: McLevin said that one time. Man did I want to mac him because you know I go out there occasionally I'll taste it. And then mcleven went out and wanted to have I said, what are you do when he goes where you're having some? I said, my name is on the show show. I bought it. I bought this. Get out of here. 00:31:14 Speaker 5: It is funny when you go it's my show. 00:31:16 Speaker 10: I know. 00:31:16 Speaker 2: I did my show. Nick McLevin thought we were on equal footing and I went, no, no, no, no, no, no, this is mine. I paid for it. Get out of here. 00:31:26 Speaker 4: Yes, that was wrong of mcleven, but that was kind of weak on your part to play my show card. 00:31:30 Speaker 3: Really, don't you know who? 00:31:32 Speaker 8: Don't you know who? 00:31:33 Speaker 3: I am? 00:31:33 Speaker 8: Card to us? 00:31:34 Speaker 3: That's weak? You know it is. 00:31:41 Speaker 4: It's called the damn Patrick show. It's not called the McLevin show. So I will have some steak and you'll go back to your chair these fries. 00:31:46 Speaker 2: If the Broncos weren't in the playoffs, you would not be this loose. 00:31:49 Speaker 3: I would not. 00:31:49 Speaker 2: You would would not. God, I'm rooting for the Patriots. You're all about the best story. 00:31:57 Speaker 3: The best story would be the backup quarterback. 00:31:59 Speaker 2: Drink May May, Yeah, Rabel kick to the curb, Diggs, Drake May Nobody thought all I played at North Carolina ACA. Yeah, he can't play. 00:32:13 Speaker 3: Weak storyline you just put together. 00:32:15 Speaker 2: How about we take a break, Last call for phone calls? What we learn? What's in store for Monday? Whoa look, who is interviewing for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job today? A former quarterback, a former quarterback as recently as this past season, is interviewing for a job with the Buffalo Bills. If you said Philip Rivers, you would be correct. Adam Schefter reporting Philip Rivers interviewing. Mike McDaniel of the Dolphins reportedly will be interviewing today with the Buffalo Bills. 00:33:05 Speaker 9: Yes, Paul, what kind of message does that send? 00:33:08 Speaker 6: No offense to Philip Rivers, a guy who's never coached a down even close to the NFL. 00:33:17 Speaker 9: That gives me a bad vibe when I hear that. 00:33:20 Speaker 2: I'm going to go back to what I said. Whenever it comes to interviewing coaching candidates, the more the better, because I want you coming in and telling me what you see with my team. I want Philip Rivers to download what he thinks of Josh Allen, what he thinks of the offense. And maybe this is just a courtesy with Philip Rivers, but I would get all the intel I can. I would do more interviews, not less. Yes, Tom and. 00:33:46 Speaker 4: Rivers, with all his Super Bowl experience, could be a good mentor josh An help get him over on assault. 00:33:51 Speaker 3: Wow, that would need to be certain. 00:33:53 Speaker 2: Who are you? 00:33:55 Speaker 3: You better get the job? Who's going to whine about it? You're gonna help to hire him? 00:33:57 Speaker 10: Now? 00:34:00 Speaker 2: Chaapers man Man Todd, Yeah. 00:34:04 Speaker 8: Martn Fritzy has been feeling himself all day. 00:34:07 Speaker 2: Nobody else will. 00:34:10 Speaker 9: That was t ball. 00:34:11 Speaker 2: That was a great line, Thank. 00:34:12 Speaker 10: You, Todd. 00:34:13 Speaker 3: Facts Well, I have no retort for that. 00:34:16 Speaker 2: No, So I got good sources. 00:34:20 Speaker 3: Comeback that no comeback? 00:34:22 Speaker 2: Okay. So Philip Rivers is interviewing with the Buffalo Bills and Mike McDaniel, formerly of the Dolphins, will be man, that's a completely opposite ends of the coaching uh perspective. Shoo all right, let me see this day in sports history. 00:34:41 Speaker 6: Paul nineteen eighty two, Diana Ross did the national anthem at Super Bowl x v I and guests. Who became the first Heisman Trophy winner to go to Pro Football's Hall of Fame nineteen eighty five, the first Heisman Trophy winner to. 00:34:55 Speaker 2: Go to the Hall of Fame nineteen one eighty five. 00:34:58 Speaker 9: He went in OJ Simpsons. 00:35:03 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay. On this date in nineteen eighty three, Bjorn Borg retires at twenty six, still amazing at twenty six all he accomplished and I just remember, like, why are you retiring? And the number of Wembledon's that he would have piled up, probably you know, five or six more, and you would have I always loved Borg when he started Wembledon. And then he grows beard, and then you knew you could tune in and you go, let me see where the beard? Oh boy, yeah, then you knew it was trouble for whoever he was facing. But age twenty six, Okay, what is the lead on Monday? Leads story is going to be what Todd. 00:35:54 Speaker 3: Back up Broncos go to the Bowling? 00:35:57 Speaker 2: I didn't need a headline headline, no, no, just it's. 00:35:59 Speaker 4: Denver, a winning with with jareds Didnam and getting to the super Bowl. 00:36:02 Speaker 2: Okay, how about you see Lead's story is going to. 00:36:05 Speaker 5: Be you know, when I saw that bow Nicks was hurt, I immediately text the group future headline super Bowl MVP Jared Stidham quarterback controversy in Denver? What are they going to do? Go with the Super Bowl MVP or bow Knicks. I'm gonna say that the lead is going to be the Patriots, not beating Jared Stidham, not only because I want to see that prediction come true. Marvin Seahawks, Sam Donald for Super Bowl appearance. 00:36:39 Speaker 2: Okay, all right for him? 00:36:41 Speaker 8: Correct? 00:36:41 Speaker 9: Yeah, Paulie, I also have Sam Darnald retribution. 00:36:44 Speaker 2: Yeah.
