We said we're going to try to do this a little more often. 00:00:49 Speaker 4: Bo. 00:00:50 Speaker 3: You know, we we all got a little busy with having kids. 00:00:52 Speaker 2: You know, changing diapers, it's it's, it's a thing. 00:00:57 Speaker 3: So we have a we have a full hour today for you guys. 00:01:00 Speaker 1: Laala is in New York doing Watch what Happens and we are here to talk about children and fatherhood. Yes, all right, so my first, my first question, and then you guys, you know, I think we should just do what we do. What what for you guys, because you guys are first time fathers, What for you is the like the coolest thing now that your baby is nine months abo and your your baby's five months. What's the thing like that that was madule for you. That's changing, that's evolving. 00:01:30 Speaker 2: Her, her walking, her getting like now what she's she's she's you know. I think I posted on my Instagram when she first stood up. We were in Boston. I think this was like a month ago, maybe month and a half ago, but she first just stood up. So that was like losing my ship. 00:01:43 Speaker 5: Yep. 00:01:43 Speaker 2: Now she's crawling upstairs, she's crawling everywhere. I have like little I made like little baby Ninja, like like little obstical questions of the big water jugs. Yeah, so I put them all. I have like five of them. I put them all around. I space them out so she'll crawl up it and then walk to the next one. Walk to the next one, walk to the next one. Wow to the couch. Wait a second, So she's not she can't stand up and walk by herself, but she can walk holding on stuff. 00:02:06 Speaker 3: Right. So Okay, So that's that's huge. That's been that's huge. 00:02:10 Speaker 2: Yeah. So it's like been my whole like the last like three weeks. That's just been like, Oh, I'm gonna put an optical course here, and then I'm gonna put like a box well, she crawled under the box, pop back up. 00:02:18 Speaker 5: Wow boxes kids best toys, right, I can't wait to do some. We've we saw an app. It's like it's development phases where you can have the box and you can go and put some it woolen string through so you can go ahead and give them like lasers when they walk through and call through. I demoed this app and I can't wait for that phase. We're not there yet. 00:02:35 Speaker 2: What's the app called. 00:02:35 Speaker 5: I'll pull it up on my phone real quick. We're not there yet with some. She's definitely yeah, just lerting her voice. Last night we actually found out that she had a vocal call and she was just sitting there with her mouth wide open. Gone. Ah, it was the best. 00:02:49 Speaker 3: Wow. 00:02:50 Speaker 2: Like her thought process was, it's like good. 00:02:56 Speaker 5: That's funny. Yeah, look, I'm all for it. I think I think watching can't wait for to stop walking. But kids have just imaginations, right, and they're completely blank. So they're just trying to learn how to do anything. I want to put my hand up and they figure that out, motors skills and all that. It's so exciting every step of the way. But congratulate watching your little walk around you. 00:03:15 Speaker 2: Know, because there's there's someone we know that I think that their baby started walking at ten ten months and I found that out maybe like three months ago, and I was. 00:03:21 Speaker 3: Like, ten months, ten months, that's aggressive, And I was. 00:03:24 Speaker 2: Like, we have to we have to tie that. 00:03:26 Speaker 3: We have to beat that. You get your kid to walk. 00:03:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's what I'm doing. She's nine and already I'm like, oh my gosh, can we do this because I'm literally I look at other babies that are older than her, and I'm like, she can do that. We can do that. We have to try to. 00:03:37 Speaker 3: Get Oh yeah, because you want to win. 00:03:39 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I want to win, or at least tie. 00:03:41 Speaker 3: Well, I want to win. Well my kid, my. 00:03:43 Speaker 1: Kid's going to be doing triathlons at seven months. I'm just letting them all know that. 00:03:47 Speaker 5: It's teaching how to do the triathlons. You in, no, do I look like a guy that. 00:03:52 Speaker 3: I could barely run down the block? 00:03:54 Speaker 1: You know? 00:03:54 Speaker 2: I remember you said that when the what is it? The baby revealed? I was like, so what do you want to boy or girl? And You're like, I want a girl? You think I want to run aroun playing fucking soccer In like three years out, He's like, girls are chill. I'm like, okay, that's smart. But also going back to the walking thing, My winning at ten months actually sucks because now have more stress. It's like because now she's crawling all over the place, and it's like, I need I'm gonna be that parent with a leash. Yeah, I'm totally okay to be that parent. Oh you're gonna do that. I'm gonna be I'm gonna care. Somebody get the backpack that like like that holds onto her. I'm gonna clip it to my belt. Squeak sweet sweet. Oh yeah, there's those two squeaky sea. I don't think I really am going to be the leash because I would always judge them. 00:04:31 Speaker 3: But do you think Statsy would buy the leash thing? 00:04:34 Speaker 2: No, unless it was chic. 00:04:36 Speaker 5: What it was the leash with like the cold on the ex spade. That one's a little bit better. You can let it run for a minute. 00:04:41 Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to do that if we go to like Disneyland or something. 00:04:44 Speaker 3: Just disney Lands a different game. Disneylands a different game. 00:04:47 Speaker 2: But yeah, it's it's just the stress is already there when she starts crawling because all of a sudden, I turn around and it's like, oh, she's getting into the cabinets, and then I had to go buy all those things the cabinet you know, locks do you guys? 00:04:59 Speaker 6: Do? 00:04:59 Speaker 3: Guys? Fine, this is with Lala, at least Lala. 00:05:02 Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's just hormones or it's Lalla's you know, just very emotional person. But every time she has like a monumental moment, Laala like loses. 00:05:12 Speaker 3: She's like, she's. 00:05:13 Speaker 1: Growing up so quick, and I'm like, babe, this is the exciting shit. She's like, I know, and are they like that or I mean it's stops or or sheina like that. 00:05:22 Speaker 5: Look, Shana is just overwhelmed with anything that my child does. Anything she obviously excited, full sounds like, it's a great support. I'm like, oh, it's okay, cool, that stops. 00:05:31 Speaker 2: Yeah I think I mean we are too impressed. Maybe yeah exactly, Yeah, no, no, the same thing that stops. It's like whatever she does, it's like, you know, when something new, we're like, oh my god, get out the camera, get that out the camera. But then now Harford knows what the camera is. So I don't know how you guys, are when it's like she's doing something cuan on some people on the camera, She's like. 00:05:47 Speaker 5: She stands at that. 00:05:48 Speaker 3: Wow. 00:05:48 Speaker 2: She loves FaceTime. She loves looking at herself. Wow, I was looking at herself in the mirror. That's the way how. 00:05:54 Speaker 3: Ocean Ocean likes. She loves the camera. She doesn't let go. Like it's morning at FaceTime. 00:05:57 Speaker 1: Laala in New York and had the camera, you know, in front of her and she she's trying to hold the phone and she's at that point but I don't know like how detailed the awareness, but she can see her mom and you could see she was smiling. 00:06:10 Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:06:11 Speaker 2: Those are Those are great moments that I remember that like the first. 00:06:14 Speaker 1: Time have you guys had have you guys had any scary moments where you were freaked like oh my god, you know, like near miss I just I. 00:06:22 Speaker 3: Don't mean like tragic, just like near like, oh my god. 00:06:25 Speaker 1: She she rolled off the couch, you know, I mean obviously I rolled. 00:06:28 Speaker 3: Off the couch a lot. That's why the way I am. 00:06:30 Speaker 1: But I'm saying, like, did anything like that happen? 00:06:34 Speaker 3: Did she you know, take it fall? Or is just anything that freaks you out? 00:06:37 Speaker 2: Or I mean, you know, there's some nothing crazy, but every time she does fall and like bumper, and especially now that she's up, yeay, yay, you bumped your head. Oh wow, that's so good, just. 00:06:49 Speaker 5: Trying to give her that's fine, you're good, don't worry, don't that's what you do. 00:06:53 Speaker 2: And then you wait and then you wait for and then she giggles and you're like, okay, good, I do that. 00:06:58 Speaker 1: I do that like somebody's like I was changing the diaper the other day because now I'm like really changing the diaper because clearly Lalla posted. 00:07:08 Speaker 3: We saw and we were. 00:07:09 Speaker 2: Like, oh, Dad wants to do something wrong. 00:07:14 Speaker 1: If you guys were look at. 00:07:16 Speaker 3: I'm not gonna comment on that. 00:07:20 Speaker 1: By the way, no, but I literally sebody call me and goes, dude, you don't you have two other kids, you know, not to change. Thenper I go, bro, I'm old, okay, and I forget and so I thought I was. By the way, it was the middle of the night, I were in the middle of early morning. I put the diaper on, was trying to be like heiro Dad for show or like I can still do this. 00:07:40 Speaker 3: And then I put the ship on. I was like baby look, I changed that. 00:07:42 Speaker 1: She goes, it's on backwards, camera comes out the fucking video in the picture, and I go to work or whatever, and then people start calling me like you can't put a diaper on? 00:07:53 Speaker 3: Right, I'm like, this fucked up? 00:07:55 Speaker 5: She got so you know what I did. 00:07:56 Speaker 3: True story. I went to the nanny, of course, but she wasn't. 00:08:00 Speaker 1: She was out, and I was like, I was like, Liz, hook hook me up. Let's have a little sit down. She's like, what do you mean. I go just these diapers are a little tricky for me. They look the front and the bad the same. She goes, I got you. And then we practiced for like twenty minutes. Did you practice on ocean or like a fake baby doll? 00:08:16 Speaker 3: No, on ocean? On ocean? How to take the ocean? 00:08:18 Speaker 5: How to take the gun? 00:08:20 Speaker 3: She's just strap hole tight, tight tight. 00:08:22 Speaker 2: And I was like, all right. 00:08:23 Speaker 3: Then I came on, I'm gonna change the type. I got this bumble shit good job. Like, oh, you're not posting tonight. 00:08:29 Speaker 5: He's not posting. I post that success. 00:08:31 Speaker 2: I mean, what the fuck? 00:08:33 Speaker 3: They Oh my god, but you've been but you know. 00:08:37 Speaker 1: I mean, I listen, I make a serious effort to you know, be in. But now now I'll tell you my from my perspective, what's changed for me with with Ocean is that, like you said, the personality now, her personality is so fucking alive and I look at her and I melt into like she just looks at me and with that smile, and I'm like, I don't even want to go to work, Like what the It's just so it's just it's magical. Every second is like, you know, different now, and I just I can't get enough. It's it's really like. 00:09:09 Speaker 2: I remember when you know, Hartford was first born. I feel like the first like month or two, it's like she looked through me and I was like, yeah, I mean I love this baby, but it's like she doesn't. She gets zero folks amount I mean, you know, it's like she's looking through me and get it. Like I'm like, all right, cool. And then now it's like the more the months, in the days that go on and on and on, then it's just then you start to see all these changes and don't. 00:09:30 Speaker 1: You feel the love is just it's it's I mean, obviously I'm fifty, so you know it's been a minute since a newborn and now that connection like of like different, it's so yeah, and it's like six months it's like, I mean, i just can't get enough. I go home and I'm like, where's the baby, where's the paper? Where it's like crystal, It's like Christmas every. 00:09:50 Speaker 5: Morning you look a look at the time, like Ron, Now we're all being fathers at this period of time. I've never been home so much. I've never been home this month, c the available for child, same same and so you can see everything. So it's like in the beauty of being at home plus but it's a struggle to try and figure out that work life balance. But at the same time, that's the one pleasurable thing I get from it, is that I've been home and get to have these experiences a lot more than what I did. Even with my first two I was at work every single day. Right, I try them and there'll. 00:10:17 Speaker 4: Be a sleep. 00:10:17 Speaker 1: I travel too, and I totally understand that, and it's like being really trying to be home all the time, at least in these early stages. It's like it's so different. It's like, I mean, every second is a different second. And I know it's cliche to say that, but really like waking up in the morning and seeing her just look up at me. 00:10:36 Speaker 5: It's like this smile smile starting. 00:10:39 Speaker 2: I race you literally raise each other down. There's like with the alert goes off, she's up, we race each other down to be the first parent to have to get that smile right, because it's. 00:10:48 Speaker 3: One second you get that first smile. 00:10:50 Speaker 2: We will literally like push each other down, up and I'll close the baby gate on her run downstairs, open that door, flash of lights, tunnel my music. I thought to speak as much Chalian as I can, so it's just like chom, I do my little hand thing, and then she kind of lifts up her arm because yes, and Sati comes in. She's like, you motherfucker. 00:11:10 Speaker 3: It's it's so mad. 00:11:11 Speaker 1: It's I could relate. It's it's just I mean, I think most I think I don't know. There's just this magic that's just so unique that you fu just you. And I know people say, oh, you guys, we all have kids, we all feel that. But I think from a data perspective, I don't think people get to hear as much like we feel the same way. Like it's you know, usually it's like, oh, it's a mom and it's you know, the mother and we're off at work, but. 00:11:32 Speaker 2: She's more sensitive. 00:11:33 Speaker 3: That's like old school right right. 00:11:34 Speaker 1: But I'm saying like, you know, like I melt into it too, that smile, and it's just it's crazy. 00:11:40 Speaker 3: Today she was outside. 00:11:42 Speaker 1: In the backyard and with Liz before I went to the office, and it was her nanny and I walked over and I and I walked right in front of her, and she just the grin the smile, and I was like, Okay, I'm not going. 00:11:52 Speaker 3: To work right now. Take the baby. Yeah, and I'm gonna go sit for twenty minute. 00:11:56 Speaker 5: If the activity hasn't really gone too well with the baby, that's for sure. 00:12:00 Speaker 1: I'm just it's just hard because you just want to you know, you want to be I don't want to miss any of this. 00:12:06 Speaker 3: And I feel like, you know, I do you do you find that like a struggle trying. 00:12:09 Speaker 2: To balance No, because I mean one thing that you know, I'm kind of you know, COVID is awful, but from COVID, living in Los Angeles, staying at home and working from home a lot, Yeah, really gifted both of us. Yeah, that's an amazing opportunity that we would never. 00:12:23 Speaker 3: Normally have you know what I mean, that's a good point. 00:12:25 Speaker 1: That's a good point because you were You guys were really I mean when I say lucky, COVID was tragic and horrific, but you guys were lucky because you really had your child at the beginning, right. 00:12:34 Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean yeah nine months ago. Right, well, yeah, I mean she was pregnant. She was pregnant during all that. But you know, I'm glad that Hartford was born. Kind of like the end, well not the end, but you know, it's like when it leaves. 00:12:45 Speaker 5: The Times week of lot was coming back. 00:12:48 Speaker 1: But right, but I feel like, you know, you know, through all tragedy, we try to find like a number of light and I feel like all of us kind of had, you know, babies during yeah, during the during WORLDWI pandemic, which I think a lot of people. 00:13:02 Speaker 2: Their own name, like do you know gen Z, They're probably gonna have like, like, hey, baby baby. That sounds weird, all. 00:13:10 Speaker 1: Right, So what should we shift to now? Oh, by the way, I think in honor of. 00:13:15 Speaker 3: Jax Taylor, should we roast him that? Yeah? Yeah, I think we. 00:13:19 Speaker 1: Should bring Brock up to speak, as Brock wasn't here, but we want to share with you, and you you'll remember better than I tell people what Jack's what we did to him, and what he tried to do to us. 00:13:30 Speaker 2: Do you know what a milk cart is? A milk cart Jack's was? Jack's was brought around and slept in a milk cart, a milk carton. 00:13:39 Speaker 3: What was it? Right? It was a milk cart, milk cart like a box, like a box. 00:13:44 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:13:44 Speaker 2: He was acting like they you know, he like he's like, yeah, my, you know, my family brought me around and milk carton all around and I slept in a milt We're like, what the no? 00:13:51 Speaker 1: And he tried to tell us about the big thing was. He kept saying to us down, I remember, this is normal. What are you guys talking about? Everybody was okay, okay, it wasn't like a full time bed, but like when we went on holiday. Okay, you and Jacks then had different upbrings than Bow and I. I wasn't putt in a sock drawer and I was I putting a box because I asked, So you were put in a sock drawer. 00:14:15 Speaker 5: Yeah. It was youngest of five, so I was kind of like the last went the two brothers, the two sisters, and then I will put broke there, gotcha, and I was on a little you will follow us up? 00:14:24 Speaker 2: So like your middle brother had like the jean drawer, be so you got one. I grew up in a jean drawer. But Rock he got the sock drawer. 00:14:33 Speaker 5: Yeah no, that's uh. I love my mom. 00:14:35 Speaker 7: Thanks for that, Mom, Jack, I'm on the way to the airport, about to check to check in. 00:14:39 Speaker 1: That's okay, Jack's just stay on the phone. You're live on the Dad podcast. 00:14:43 Speaker 3: Say hello, Jack's how you doing? Hey, buddy, you got Brock myself and. 00:14:48 Speaker 2: You were jealous? 00:14:50 Speaker 5: Are you jealous? 00:14:52 Speaker 3: Jacks? 00:14:53 Speaker 4: Jack, I can't hear what's going on? 00:14:55 Speaker 3: We miss you. We're on the Dad Podcast. 00:14:57 Speaker 1: We got Brock here and myself and Bow we were bringing up we were just bringing up milk cartons. 00:15:05 Speaker 4: Milk card bottom. 00:15:06 Speaker 1: Will you share with Rock you're how you were raised in a melk curtain? 00:15:11 Speaker 7: First of all, it's not a milk carton. It's an egg box, eggbox. 00:15:17 Speaker 4: It was an egg crate. 00:15:18 Speaker 2: Egg crate. 00:15:20 Speaker 5: Okay, could you break it down for us? 00:15:22 Speaker 3: Break it down for us? 00:15:23 Speaker 7: Well again, you got to remind you this is nineteen seventy nine nineteen eighty Okay, and you know, people didn't. 00:15:29 Speaker 4: Have a lot of money. 00:15:30 Speaker 7: My parents were borderline hippies. Okay, okay is the hippie generation. My parents went camping and I was a newborn and it was happy, peace and love, and I went in an egg box because it was safe and you just did it. It was just safe. It was just like a cardboard box with some blankets in it. 00:15:48 Speaker 4: It was like I was. It was like I was a straight cat. 00:15:51 Speaker 2: You know, it actually sounds a lot more safe than Brock's sock George, Like at least you're not going to fall out and like land like three. 00:15:58 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:15:58 Speaker 7: No, it was like it was like I was like in a thirty box, Like when you go to the grocery store and. 00:16:02 Speaker 4: You get a big box a hedge and it comes in a big box. 00:16:04 Speaker 5: No, we don't know, he's the whole point. 00:16:07 Speaker 3: We don't the reason we. 00:16:08 Speaker 7: Got we had access to those boxes. 00:16:10 Speaker 4: Because my dad worked at a grocery store. 00:16:14 Speaker 1: Okay, Jack's I really fucking miss you. We need you back here. 00:16:19 Speaker 3: Okay. So so you. 00:16:20 Speaker 1: And Brock have a very very strong connection because Brock just let us know that he was raised in a sock draw. 00:16:25 Speaker 5: Well raised, Yes, you were. When we go on holidays, similar to Jackson. When we go on holidays, we were at a family of we were a big family. We were just family. So when we had a motel wherever we say that, I got the suck. 00:16:40 Speaker 4: Turl was yeah, yeah, you got right there like we were. My parents were. 00:16:45 Speaker 7: They didn't have a ton of money, but they like to go camping exactly, and they're not going to bout They're not going to bring up play pend the forest. 00:16:51 Speaker 4: We're camping like they do. 00:16:54 Speaker 7: Now, there's no such thing as packing place in nineteen seventy nine. 00:16:58 Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, but I also I was eight years old in nineteen seventy nine and I did go on trips with my parents. And by the way, my parents weren't billionaires or or loaded. I mean, you know what, they were fine whatever it is, you know, middle class, I guess. And I was never put in a soft draw and I was never put in a crate. So I'm just putting that out there. 00:17:17 Speaker 7: I'm sorry. But as you go camping, we went to ten camping. My parents were going to sleep in. My parents are going to sleep in at ten You think I'm going to sleep in anything better than that? 00:17:26 Speaker 2: What exactly is ten camp tent camping a normal camping? 00:17:31 Speaker 7: No, because because like some people camping campers some people some people camp under the stars. 00:17:37 Speaker 4: Well, we went in uh intense. 00:17:40 Speaker 5: He's bringing up points like that kind when we sleep, we sleep and sleep. 00:17:46 Speaker 2: Did did did they have like an extra small little tent forward the milk crate or was it like did they put you in the big one with the family. We're just trying to get. 00:17:53 Speaker 3: A visual where did you? Where were the milk crates? 00:17:56 Speaker 4: Random has a picture of it. Let it shows show you. 00:18:01 Speaker 5: He does. 00:18:03 Speaker 4: He's gotta pay. It's a fucking box. 00:18:09 Speaker 5: It's just a corboard box. 00:18:12 Speaker 2: Hey do you have do you have a main popping one of your forehead right now? 00:18:15 Speaker 5: Jack trying to explain what the boxes? 00:18:17 Speaker 2: Can we can we get a photo of a box and then frame it and then just have it here in the studio. 00:18:23 Speaker 4: Just look up eggbox, says eggs on the side. 00:18:28 Speaker 3: Says eggs. You have to set. We just went to the beach. 00:18:47 Speaker 4: Arents like two Nichols are running together, what do you want them to do? 00:18:50 Speaker 3: But didn't worry you were raised in Michigan or you were raised in Florida. 00:18:54 Speaker 7: No, I was never. I don't know why people say that I was never raised in Florida. My parents moved to Florida when my sister and I got out of high school, so we never would. 00:19:03 Speaker 1: People just assume my mother's from the Chigan too, And I'm willing to bet that she wasn't raised in an acrol. 00:19:09 Speaker 2: Remember we did call his sister and she did verify she did. Remember, Well, we called Jenny. 00:19:14 Speaker 3: We need a photo of I really want to see here. 00:19:16 Speaker 7: There was some other interesting things that your mother did with you as a child. 00:19:19 Speaker 4: I can just imagine. 00:19:21 Speaker 1: Wow, this podcast South real quick, my god. 00:19:28 Speaker 2: Jackson on the Boxing Gloves, I'm. 00:19:30 Speaker 3: You know, Jack says a funk around. 00:19:33 Speaker 5: He goes for t Kow. 00:19:34 Speaker 2: He just goes to write for the Dicks. 00:19:37 Speaker 7: To say, I'm like, listen, I'm not the old My parents weren't crazy. 00:19:40 Speaker 4: It was just the norm for camping. 00:19:44 Speaker 1: Britney's from the south, from Kentucky. So Brittany, Well, ask Brittany what what what? What boxes she slept in? 00:19:51 Speaker 4: She doesn't remember, she doesn't remember. 00:19:57 Speaker 1: I'm willing to bet that Brittany did not sleep in a box ever. And she went camping probably one hundred times more. 00:20:02 Speaker 3: Than you did. 00:20:03 Speaker 2: Yeah, and she lived on a farm, and she lives on a farm and living on a farm, so yeah, she probably is like, no, I slept on the crip. 00:20:10 Speaker 3: I said, all right, well shot born. 00:20:15 Speaker 5: Oh here we go with the year age yourself. 00:20:17 Speaker 3: That's why she was born on the spaceship my back. 00:20:20 Speaker 2: Yeah, about. 00:20:24 Speaker 4: Was born, remember. 00:20:25 Speaker 2: Jeff, Remember Jack's has to walk to school on the snow and cars before the cars. 00:20:30 Speaker 3: Were so he wrote it. He wrote a dinosaur, like I did. 00:20:33 Speaker 5: Someone on that principal the. 00:20:39 Speaker 8: Strange down here. Maybe maybe that's right, maybe we're like it's a little yeah. I always thought that too, And then when I went down there, I was like, someone lies to me. 00:20:52 Speaker 3: All right, Jack Jack's were so grateful. We love you, Brittany, we love you, thanks. 00:20:56 Speaker 5: For being on. Take care after that. 00:20:58 Speaker 3: We're gonna take a quick I love you guys, we're gonna we're gonna take it. 00:21:05 Speaker 1: All right, We're gonna take quick break. We're gonna take and come right back and we are back with Give them bo Brock with Randall, give them bow and Brock with Randall. That's the name of this podcast, Give them bow and Brock with Brandon. I'm always I'm always third billing. Oh with Jackson a great. I mean, we love Jack's but boy, he just gives it to it. He just feeds it to us. 00:21:38 Speaker 3: I mean he's just teas it up. All right. 00:21:42 Speaker 2: Well, I was gonna ask about do you have like a playroom, play area? I created like this fun because you know, Stas is very like we need to keep everything chic. Wen we got this house and then wasn't you know this house is not very baby asked. We didn't know we're gonna have a baby. 00:21:56 Speaker 3: So I was like, okay, okay, it's right because people don't know. I've been in your house. 00:22:00 Speaker 1: It's beautiful to in the Hollywood Hills, except it's like three levels, three levels with tons of stairs, tons of. 00:22:05 Speaker 2: Stairs, three levels, and it's just like and it's everything just looks very nice. So like, where are we going to have like all these plastic things and colorful things. 00:22:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, like you're like when I see your house, I'm like architecture digest like very very Hollywood like veryish, very. 00:22:23 Speaker 3: So so how did you so for me? 00:22:25 Speaker 1: You know, we in her nursery, Lalla set up like a bunch of like you know, play stuff and all types of stuff, and then in our bedroom we also have like stuff. So I kind of that's kind of where we're at right now because she's not moving around so aggressively yet I think we're getting pretty close. 00:22:40 Speaker 2: Well, see, we had that we still I mean obviously she has the nursery and we have all the fun stuff in there. But now that she's moving around, you have go to a different section. So it's like we want we want to hang out upstairs. I have to have something. So behind the couch, I just pushed Like we have a huge living room, so I pushed the couchs up closer to the TV, and I have a good about eight by six feet in the back. 00:22:58 Speaker 3: Oh that's smart. 00:22:59 Speaker 2: I went on and designed like a floor plan, like a floor mat. There's like soft tiles. 00:23:03 Speaker 3: It's like, oh yeah, I like the soft house. Yeah, we have those upstairs in the nursery that the little cushion. 00:23:08 Speaker 2: Cushion, and then I got just I had to buy two. But they're like the little plastic plate pen fences I'm talking about, just like a gate. So then I just right behind there and it's just below the couch, so if you walk in, you can't really see it. Oh you And then so it's like it's almost like an invisible plate pair until you walk up towards the best and then you see it. And then you see it. 00:23:27 Speaker 3: So when you guys are chilling watching TV, she's got her own like fun area. 00:23:30 Speaker 2: Yeah, and then usually to sit back there because there's a little bench so we can have the television on, still watch and then play with her. 00:23:35 Speaker 1: Well, I just want to say, and then I want to hear you, but I just got to say this. So I'm still in a three and a half year renovation, as you know, and. 00:23:43 Speaker 2: It's like renovation, got a pickleball cort done first? 00:23:49 Speaker 3: I push those. 00:23:51 Speaker 4: I need this. 00:23:52 Speaker 1: I push those permits hard on the no. But we're we're like we're like like days away from getting our final permits, which is taking twelve months. I'm a family room and I obviously when that's done, we'll we'll have a whole area like that, which I think is toys and yeah, and that's that that that's inspiring because now I'm thinking, okay, when we put the couches, like, well, that's a smart thing to do, because. 00:24:11 Speaker 2: They'll start to get bored. Like if they're just in there, if they're just in a candle yea yeah, I mean exact thing that, they'll just get board. It's like they can run around and play with the same toys and then all of a sudden it's like, wow, is that a plastic bottle. I'm like, you want to sit there and play with the plastic bottle for five hours? Not the thousands of dollars of freaking you know, toys and stupid shaky things, but Disneyland I built. You want the arrowhead bottle water. 00:24:37 Speaker 5: Listen to the crunch right, yes, yes, yes? 00:24:40 Speaker 3: And what about you? What's your setup? 00:24:41 Speaker 5: With the setup was? I mean, we had like some soft blankets and all that, but now she was kind of definitely moving, She's definitely on the floor, and so I wanted to give him more firm things. So we ordered the tiles and there's actually some really good options online where you can go ahead and get really nastys on on ones. We didn't go that route. We just got the cheap colored ones for now. But I called it a candle. Sorry, I call it a canne. And she had told me off for that because it's a plate pan. Yeah, eas not tell people you'll put in your child into a candle. In trouble, you do, you have to go on vacation. Just dropped her in the kettle. 00:25:18 Speaker 3: I dropped her off, dropped her off at the kettle. 00:25:22 Speaker 5: But yeah, so I'm looking forward to that. She's still like walking around. She's got all the nice expensive toys, and then there's also the cheap stuff, the cardboard and the anything in the mouth really wow. 00:25:32 Speaker 2: And he puts the the like a ziploc bag and then dried pasta shells in there, and it's like this perfect little that she can eat and chew on and shake around and. 00:25:41 Speaker 3: Throw and wow. 00:25:43 Speaker 2: I'm like really, I'm like, you don't want the shakers lived and it lights up and it plays and it talks to you. You don't want Elmo, you don't want Peekapoo Elmo. You just want you just want the cactus. Have you seen my Instagram stories and I follow you the freaking cactus. It scared the ship out of her. He press a button, Yeah, it goes look at my mom mo. It has like a hundred songs of these weird I can't tell it's it's not Spanish, it's not Portuguese, not Italian. I think it's like Japanese or Chinese. But they they're making the voices sound like they're from others. I have no idea. And then also you press a button and when she goes it will it will do it again. It's literally I've seen that it does it, but it also like it imitates her, and so she says the best it's the best thing. I get that Amazon. But there's like literally fifty different versions. You have to find the one with all the music and that and it back. Yeah, I mean it's all the same things, but it's just it's just weird music. You're like, where is it from? 00:26:40 Speaker 3: This sounds great? Loves it. 00:26:41 Speaker 2: She sound loves it. It took her like three because the first three weeks he hated it. But you got two of them, one in the upstairs platean and one of the nurseres. 00:26:47 Speaker 3: So it's all you're doubling. 00:26:48 Speaker 2: Yeah, you doubling that she loves that thing so much. 00:26:50 Speaker 5: It's just like wow, So she can dance in front of it and then you know, the. 00:26:54 Speaker 2: Thing just moves around and it's just like I mean, it's and I have all like at least three So. 00:27:00 Speaker 3: You have to you have to post a video this week because I want to see how when. 00:27:04 Speaker 2: We post about this, I'll put it on yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:27:08 Speaker 5: We'll post our crib set up. 00:27:10 Speaker 3: Yeah exactly. 00:27:11 Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll show you mine like a little walkthrough. 00:27:14 Speaker 3: I'll open like lifestyles exactly. 00:27:22 Speaker 1: You brought up something on the break that you had to deal with this weekend, like going to football and stuff and how you face your partner, whether it's a real support of go and joy or it's bullshit, it's a trap. Tell me how your how your house works, tell me how your house, tell me how your prison cell works. 00:27:42 Speaker 2: I was like, that sounds more correct, No, nos, fantastic, but it last night was it was a little difficult. But the majority of the time, I'm going to say eighty percent of the time, it's not like Russian roulette. Eighty percent of the time you're good. Go. But then after last night. I was like, oh there. When she said go out, I'm like, are you sure? Are you sure I can stay a messenger at halftime? Hey, rams are losing. I can totally leave right now, right now and be okay right and then you know, of course I c I was with Tom Schwartz and and then she's like, no, go ahead. So then we walked down to hamburg Er Marry and it's drag show. And then next thing you know, I'm like, okay, I said her, I'd beat back at six, and I'm like Tom and his little half half shots half shots, half shots, and then. 00:28:25 Speaker 3: He's what is with his half shot bullshit? 00:28:27 Speaker 2: Well I finally got him. I finally was like no, mother. I was like, if you're bull shot, you're gonna put something in my face, you better drink it too. So that's that's the thing. So it's like, if I'm going walking out here toasty, so are you? 00:28:38 Speaker 3: So he drinks. 00:28:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, So he drank and I left. I came home and I was like, I'm gonna hang out with baby and washer get you know, take the bath, and and thing was fine. Then once the baby got put down, no, and I was like I was like I don't know. I'm like, are you baby, I'm like, you told me that I could go out, and she's like, no, it's fine, it's just I just didn't. I'm like, but I asked you I could. I told you I could go back. 00:29:01 Speaker 3: It's like, it's like you just like you said. 00:29:06 Speaker 2: And I was like, I was like five, no, you can't do this to me. 00:29:09 Speaker 3: It's wrong. 00:29:10 Speaker 2: It's wrong. 00:29:10 Speaker 4: It's wrong. 00:29:11 Speaker 3: And then you get so righteous about it. 00:29:13 Speaker 2: And then I made a pizza and I was like, and I guess we texted wrong. And I made like this flatbird pizza and then it was not very good. And then I was drunk, drunk pizza pizza making and for myself and then I you know, she's on a like you know, after pregnancy kind of diet and weight she's eating. So I said, I told her. I'm like, it's I'm pulling it out, you know, thinking that she would come buy. So she didn't, and I threw the pizza away because it also was gross. I kind of over undercooked it and I threw it away. And then next thing you know, she comes up and she goes, you threw the pizza away. I wanted something and I'm like, oh my god, I'm so sorry. 00:29:44 Speaker 3: It's so bad you were losing everything. 00:29:46 Speaker 2: I have another one. I went to the garage. I got another pizza. Literally takes ten minutes to make, put it in there. I don't want it, you don't want and then I'm like, I can just make it. It's it's a pizza. I can literally make it right now. And then I was so angry. So then I threw that pizza away she wanted. But then I did not like me throwing that second pizza away, and then it was just me being a brat and an asshole. It's just but I was like, well, fine, you know, and then and then I'm like, I'm really sorry. I am so sorry, like truly, like thought in my heart I didn't, but I didn't know because you know, so now never throw pizza away. 00:30:17 Speaker 1: And by the way, I want to say something, Normally, normally i'd be like looking at you, like what a sad life you have, But then I think about my life and. 00:30:26 Speaker 9: It's the same, exactly, It's exactly the same, Like like literally this week, I I the World Series of Poker just started in Vegas, and I was like, she knows it. 00:30:37 Speaker 1: Normally because it's normally in June, but you know, because of COVID, they moved it. So I was like, I'm really not playing as many events as I would normally play. And I was like, I'm like, it already started. I missed like seven events because I'm home. And I looked at you first she went to New York, and I said, Babe, I love you so much. 00:30:52 Speaker 3: I love you so much, and I want you to have the best trip of your life in New York. She was yeah, I said, nobody. 00:30:59 Speaker 5: I really mean that, just trying to high pop, like, enjoy this experience, and. 00:31:03 Speaker 3: You're going for three days, and I want those threas to be magical. And then I was wondering on. 00:31:08 Speaker 1: Tuesday if I could go to Vegas for one of them in the World Series Poke, come right back on Wednesday morning. It's exactly how I say it, so and and and it's like quiet and she goes because she's really cool about all that, and she's just like, Babe, yeah, yeah, go I go, so hold on, so I could definitely got then, and I'm like enunciating, I'm like, so I can definitely go to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas on Tuesday back Wednesday, babe, Yes, okay, okay, I'm gonna go. Okay, I love you like It's like I'm petrified because even though she says, yes, what happens tomorrow morning when I get on the plane. 00:31:43 Speaker 2: And go or Wednesday. Here's the thing what made me think of this, how you're like, I love you. You need to do that for like going to dinner or just any of the smallest thing. So you keep saying that, so when you do have to ask for something, it's numbed out right. 00:31:56 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:31:56 Speaker 2: Also, get on your get on your Instagram live and then record her saying that. Then you have proof. 00:32:03 Speaker 3: That's the world. 00:32:05 Speaker 2: So she wants to shame you. 00:32:06 Speaker 5: And you could be like, oh, well look at this, he is playing at the same level you are. Right. 00:32:14 Speaker 2: That just popped in my head. 00:32:15 Speaker 3: You are you are? 00:32:17 Speaker 1: You are thriving, right, I mean look at Brock and Eye were so we're so beat down, We're like, tell us. 00:32:22 Speaker 5: More, I went pants. I just don't pick him out every morning. And she I'm talking under the thumb wear the pants, she tells me, trying to win. 00:32:32 Speaker 3: That is okay, by the way, and Lala would like right now, she was listening. I mean, she was here, she'd say, you know, that's bullshit. 00:32:39 Speaker 1: I let you do you know where you want to, And I'm like, she does give me, you know, because I travel for work and all that stuff. 00:32:44 Speaker 3: But but at the end of the day, like when it comes to like. 00:32:46 Speaker 1: A personal, real straight up personal trip like that, yeah, I have to I have to ask for for for mercy. 00:32:52 Speaker 2: And we're also not like we're not we're not trying to sound that. Our wives are like, are like, no, we you know, gives me so much freedom and so and she's some fantastic other word. But this but this is just how ladies and gentlemen or ladies who's listening to this? This is basically what we talk about if there was no mic, because we sit there, we gossip, we complain, but when then we go back, we're like, what if you want baby, Yeah, okay, sure you know. And that's literally how how it is as being a dad. You know, we sit there and we talk and gossip about all the you know, well she did that wall, I want to do this. I'm taking control. I'm the man, I could do this, and then we're like, yeah, what do you want? Okay, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Can I make you another pizza? 00:33:28 Speaker 5: Okay, right, it's about you? What about you? I mean, well, I'm going through it right now because we're going we have the same issues because it's kind of like I want to fly, but at the same time, well, I got to do it with planning, and I'm the worst of planning like that. So the only way like where it makes sense and when I get an men is when I'm asking her to do stuff but she's like, yeah, but you didn't plan for this. You just want to spontaneously don't hang out your friends. Sounds fucking fun, but I'm gonna have to plan. Yeah, So if I can plan ahead, I get one hundred percent. Yes, I get a hundred pcent. But it has to be planned. 00:34:00 Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I ask like five six days ahead even. 00:34:04 Speaker 2: Have they plan just for like baby dates and stuff. You have to plan to do anything. There's no going out by yourself like last. 00:34:11 Speaker 5: Minute, no sporadic stuff. And then and then what I try and do is I double down on the emotional deposits because I'll be like, hey, honey, are you sure you don't want to go out with your mum and and your mom and your friend tonight, like I'll stay home with baby. I didn't want to go out anyway, but I'll stay home with the cats. Whatever. But if I can give her those emotional ones, so I can like take those take that credit and just cash in and have the credit in there, but be like, hey, honey, I'm gonna double down right now. And they go to Vegas Randall see Alana And as long as it's planned. 00:34:37 Speaker 3: Yeah, I think less said Lala. As easy as good, cool as they get. 00:34:41 Speaker 1: But you know again, I think just notice like she wants to say to me, like, hey, I'm going to go with my girls to dinner, like with the girls, and she says it. 00:34:50 Speaker 3: Like, you know, hey, tomorrow I want to do this whatever. I'm like, oh, go have fun. And I think it's the same. 00:34:54 Speaker 1: I think it's just you know what, we're joking about our girls being like that. But at the end of the day, I think it's just mutual respect. It's like, hey, I want you to feel safe and comfortable. I'm going to go on this trip. 00:35:03 Speaker 3: Is this okay? Do you feel okay? And what about you? How's it with you? Soon? Same like the planet, it's. 00:35:09 Speaker 5: It's the plant planning. This is a tough one for me because I'm having nanny, I have a mother in law. 00:35:15 Speaker 3: Oh that's that's a whole other leg a whole. 00:35:17 Speaker 4: Other share with us rock. 00:35:22 Speaker 5: But it's it is honestly like this weekend we had we had a blow up and then reflected and I actually. 00:35:29 Speaker 1: Hold on, Okay, you can't just skim over that here on them with Randall when today is give them owen Brock with Randall. 00:35:36 Speaker 3: Don't skim over that like a rock. What is just to find blow up? Because we've all had them. So I just want to know what deaf Colm was this ten eight? 00:35:46 Speaker 5: It was difficult. This was difficult ten like who been at home for two days by myself? 00:35:51 Speaker 2: America? 00:35:52 Speaker 5: Like that kind of Yeah, we had we had words from Vegas go back. Well, here's here's the reason. You don't put somebody in a car when you have different opinions of somebody for four hours to Vegas and four hours back, three out of four weeks in a month. Oh that's why. That's why I put it down. So we just had enough of each other and each other's opinions and then I lost this. 00:36:13 Speaker 3: Wait is it you and she in a different opinion, or you're the mother. 00:36:16 Speaker 5: Me and Sheen are me and himm you against both of them? 00:36:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, oh this is this dude, what you are knowing? 00:36:22 Speaker 2: What you're done? 00:36:23 Speaker 4: Dead. 00:36:24 Speaker 3: By the way, I get out, I get out. 00:36:26 Speaker 1: I get out in Death Valley in the one hundred and twenty two degree heat, and I walk. I won't by the way, Laura would have kicked me out of the car. I wouldn't have a choice. So yeah, I mean, it wouldn't have been an option. I would be like driving and she'd be like, stop, get. 00:36:40 Speaker 3: Get the fuck out uber your ship to Vegas. 00:36:43 Speaker 2: I could see, like her, the window roll down and then like a bottle and then she pursys on half of it and then puts the cap on and then throws it at you. 00:36:50 Speaker 3: And then were you there on that trip? Every went on, I was. 00:36:54 Speaker 5: Passing by, just going to golf. 00:36:56 Speaker 4: Hold on. 00:36:56 Speaker 3: So you guys had a different opinion. Do you want to get into that or that's. 00:37:00 Speaker 5: Well, it's the same. It's the same as opinions. It's like, right now, you can't ask anyone what they believes are in politics. It's cool. 00:37:10 Speaker 3: Why are you doing this on the way to fucking lost Vegas. 00:37:13 Speaker 5: No, it's just my cool value. When somebody else says the egg values and I'm just sitting there driving in a car after they listen to it until I get there and get out of the car, I'm like, honey, we're not doing this for a while. And that was it. 00:37:26 Speaker 2: That's like, that's like talking about that in Christmas and the eki me. You just there's certain things you don't eat. 00:37:31 Speaker 3: Or something like it's a given. Oh my gosh, I want to be in a card for no, no, no, no, no, I'm not getting anxiety right now. 00:37:37 Speaker 2: It's like it's like at least at home Thanksgiving those dinners you leave, at least you can like. 00:37:40 Speaker 3: Go to the bar and like you could get up literally and get. 00:37:43 Speaker 2: A little and then go back down. 00:37:44 Speaker 5: You're like, yeah, you know what you get least week, pull on the gas station. I just get out, calmly, walk inside, get a red pool, staying there for ten minutes, walk back in the car, crack it and keep your. 00:37:55 Speaker 2: You're gonna walk around the back and be like start punching the garbage can. 00:37:59 Speaker 1: Honestly, I don't think there's any version of this experience that I could tolerate. I do you know there's airplanes today, right, and you could for ninety nine dollars you. 00:38:07 Speaker 3: Could get on like Southwest, and it's worth the peace of mind because. 00:38:11 Speaker 1: This four hours between your daughter Sena and the mother in law. I mean, and I, by the way, I'm down for Shina. 00:38:19 Speaker 3: I love Sheena. She's one of my friends. But like you put two women in a baby in a car with you, I mean, what do you think is gonna happen? 00:38:27 Speaker 5: Exactly what happened. 00:38:30 Speaker 2: I think about two when she's older that you can't have that kind of argument too. 00:38:39 Speaker 5: I was completely silent for four hours, Oh my god, because I was just hairy opinions, and so I just bubbled it up. I wasn't responding to anything. 00:38:46 Speaker 3: For four hours. 00:38:47 Speaker 5: I was just like, oh my god, we can tell my god, I say. When we got there, I was like, honey, this is how I feel about that last four hours. And I delivered it very poorly, and we all fuck up there and then so she's like, look, I'm going to stay at my mom's for tonight. You and Joy, you go get focused, you get what you need to get. And the role of the story was I was just projecting on my frustration with work and trying to find my balance out that when I have somebody else they're having their opinions about this stuff, I just snap on them. 00:39:15 Speaker 2: And it just happened to be My mother had like this stereotypical law relationship. I like, I don't like Dana Stacey's mom. Godsend like godsend, yes, you know sometimes twenty minutes. 00:39:28 Speaker 5: What do you guys hear that? 00:39:29 Speaker 3: Hold on? That's kissing an ass. Now let's take it. Let's take a break right here, and let's give it up to Dana. All right, so you can guess all look at the fu is this no, but it's true. 00:39:45 Speaker 2: But also it's like having having a parent or like someone a family member close because my mom's in Florida my dad, Yeah, that is. 00:39:52 Speaker 5: And that's why that's what it's like. It can be frustrating for me. But at the same time, you're lunch in Australia, but you're lucky family, you know what I mean. Like, so I respect that and that's where my issues, when it comes down to it, is just my issues, and I have to be like, all right, broke the shut out, You'll be fine. 00:40:06 Speaker 2: And also the help that you get from from as much annoying as you that you guys hit, She's a blessing. I would always be by the way, I bless you, blessing, blessing. 00:40:15 Speaker 1: I agree, Like I'm also lucky because we have her mother, who is at the house lot, like twenty five days out of the month. But the thing is, I love Lisa is like my like one of my best friend's true story, Like she's there for Lala and I and she's phenomenal. But I'll tell you, having Lisa be able to get an hour and sixteen minute flight, like last night she came in Lalla in out of town and I was like, come help and be there with me, and like, you know, just it's it's It does make it easy for me because my mother's you know, she's in her seventies and she lives. I mean, she flies all the time, but she's in Miami. That's a six hour flight, three time zones. Lisa, I could call within an hour and she's here an hour, you know, a couple hours. 00:40:56 Speaker 3: So I think it is nice. Like somebodys, we take it for granted and we you know, we all get it. 00:41:02 Speaker 5: You guys are miss because of Miss Lisa Lisa is not best. It was still a flight away, and yours is a flight away. 00:41:10 Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, Dana's only an hour and a half. 00:41:12 Speaker 5: Away, twenty minutes down the street. 00:41:15 Speaker 3: Similar, it's kind of similar trips. 00:41:17 Speaker 5: Yeah, it's twenty minutes down the street. I thought she was like in Zusa, Issa, so on the freeway there, it takes like thirty minutes. 00:41:24 Speaker 2: Okay, But what's. 00:41:25 Speaker 3: The biggest fight you ever had with your mother in law? 00:41:29 Speaker 1: Oh? 00:41:30 Speaker 5: It was just oh, it was just no, no, no. We had one down in San Diego where she was worried about the people setting up the tent too close to the footpath. And I was like, why are you talking about somebody else's They have nothing to do with us, Like you're talking about something that doesn't affect our life in zero ways. And I don't want to have this conversation. And I sounded like an asshole, and I made her upset. That was the biggest one, by the. 00:41:52 Speaker 1: Way, and I am we've all by the way, we've all been listen, we've all been there, and like, especially during COVID when like it was really intense and business and you know you're stressed just to put food on the table and all that stuff. You know, we've all done things and I've listen. You know what I love about Lisa, honestly is truth both of us. When we have been wrong and she's been wrong and I have been wrong. One thing we have in our group is we can always apologize and be forgiven. Like that's the thing I'll saytest because I don't have that with everybody in my life. Like there are people who hold on a ship for a long time. If I fuck up and I say, at least I'm really sorry I said that, or I'm sorry that I acted a certain way that hurt your feelings, she forgives me and vice versa. She's come to me and said I shouldn't have whatever done that, and I'm like, thank you. So I think as long as you can always own it and be forgiven, then it always things work out, at least in family, you know, because I think a lot of family members sometimes go on for decades not speaking. I mean I have friends out there that don't talk to their parents or their in laws because one thing happened and both sides can't politics right. 00:43:01 Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, I just think life's too short. 00:43:04 Speaker 1: And you know, family at the end of the day, no matter what happens in life, you're always going to go. 00:43:09 Speaker 3: You know, the family's never gonna they're not leaving. 00:43:11 Speaker 5: But I feel like your feelings are always valid at that point in time. You feel like that for a reason. So even if you express him, didn't apologize for and after, it's okay. 00:43:19 Speaker 3: To be wrong. Correct. 00:43:20 Speaker 5: So you just felt like that, correct and that, and that gets you go to as long as you're going to eat it off and be like, you know what, that was my bad. But as long as the other piss on the stands that they could be in the wrong too, and I acknowledge that as well. 00:43:31 Speaker 2: Right, But then it's also being the bigger person to just take it just I'm gonna take this. I'm just going to take this lost, and I think we all have to do that. 00:43:37 Speaker 3: Something. 00:43:37 Speaker 2: It's just you know, something, it makes it It's just why, like you said, life's too short, you know, and keeping fam especially now that we have kids and you know, the holidays are coming up, our holidays and like later down the road, you want as much family around that, you know, around our daughters that that you know, so it's not like she just has us and like maybe like one mother for for Christmas or Thanksgiving. 00:43:58 Speaker 6: You know. 00:43:58 Speaker 2: So I'm always like, oh, do you would you like to be a part of my family? Like would you you know? Because I'm an only child. So it's like, well. 00:44:06 Speaker 5: When you went camping? 00:44:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we didn't do the camping, but I was just wanted, like, you know, like a whole bunch of family around, right, you want. 00:44:13 Speaker 5: Like the big gap in Italian You probably did you have your family? 00:44:16 Speaker 2: I didn't meet them until I was like twenty two. 00:44:18 Speaker 5: Damn. 00:44:19 Speaker 3: So oh wow. 00:44:20 Speaker 2: Yeah so my birth yeah, my birth father, my dad is when my mom was like six, gotcha. So that's been my family. 00:44:27 Speaker 3: So yeah. 00:44:27 Speaker 5: Yeah. 00:44:28 Speaker 2: But now with Hardford, I'm just like really excited about Thanksgiving where we're doing it, you know, Christmas, wait. 00:44:33 Speaker 3: Let's talk about the holidays. Where are you doing your Thanksgiving? 00:44:35 Speaker 2: We're doing an Arrowhead, but then we might do it at our house too. We don't know. We're still trying to figure that out. But for Christmas definitely, we were thinking about renting like Airbnb and Big Bear. But then I'm like, we have I think twelve fifteen people coming, you know, it's mostly like Stussis and then my mom, do you know how expensive that is? 00:44:56 Speaker 3: You know how expensive that is? 00:44:58 Speaker 2: And I'm just like, I really want like a white Christmas like snow and all that ship. And I'm like, but that's so expensive, and I really like, what do we want to spend our money on? 00:45:06 Speaker 6: You know. 00:45:07 Speaker 2: It's like, so we're just it's such a hard and La is just so not like I've never really lived in a Christmas area from from Nashville to naturally Miami in La Yeah, Florida, Austin, you know, so these aren't very Christmasy times in Los Angeles. So we're still trying to figure it out. What about? What about? 00:45:24 Speaker 5: So we've got we're gonna we're doing a Hawaii trip. She has done with her family the last three years. So we're gonna go to Hawaii and maybe if Australia opens up their borders, my mum will fly over to spend it with us. 00:45:35 Speaker 2: They can't even come out. 00:45:36 Speaker 3: They're the borders pretty tough. 00:45:39 Speaker 5: They might be opening up in December to leave and come back, but right now it's it's still close. So we'll be doing Hawaii and then that will be before Christmas and then we'll be back we'll just be back here. We haven't got any. 00:45:49 Speaker 2: Point like un years, I have no idea. 00:45:52 Speaker 5: I mean that's a little bit too far. 00:45:54 Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean six days from Christmas. 00:45:56 Speaker 2: Christ because it's a specific. Also, New Year's suck. I don't remember what I did is overrated. I don't think I had a great New Year, you know since I was like seven. 00:46:04 Speaker 3: You know, I like New Year's. 00:46:05 Speaker 1: I like the New Year's because it's just a vacation time where everything's closed and allows me my only two weeks between Christmas series to just be chill, like you know what I mean, without worrying like, oh my god, who's doing this? 00:46:15 Speaker 3: Because really, people checked down. 00:46:17 Speaker 5: Nobody's doing any people end of December, beginning of January, you're not getting any like up top day, you know, doing any business wise. 00:46:24 Speaker 3: Correct. 00:46:24 Speaker 2: And also New Year's with a baby, how that's going to be a totally different New Year. Maybe we all get together do baby supper or something like that. 00:46:30 Speaker 1: We're gonna be where for New Year's will be in Miami, So everybody, if you guys want to come down obviously, and we're gonna babies on the beach chill, you know, the. 00:46:38 Speaker 3: Babies on the beach and then Christmas. 00:46:42 Speaker 1: You know, like because my whole life I grew up in Miami in La right, so like I never had a white Christmas. Ever, the Lalla has really driven at home that for Ocean throws Christmas. She wants to spend it in you deer valley. Yeahah, and we're gonna run a place up in the mountain and first time ever Christmas in the snow. 00:47:01 Speaker 2: That's awesome. Yeah, that's that's what that's what we want. Yeah, this is the kind of same type of snow vibe. 00:47:05 Speaker 5: And yeah, I don't want a snowy No, I'm fine with the beach. 00:47:09 Speaker 1: I mean yeah, but I mean, I you know, she's the boss, so you know, so she gave me Miami for New Year's and I and I'm gonna, you know, we compromise on Christmas. 00:47:18 Speaker 3: You like, okay Christmas. But you know what I like skiing. And the thing is is that every year I go to Sunyan. 00:47:23 Speaker 1: It's the only time ever ski And because Sony Ants has been canceled, you know, in terms of live the last couple of years, this will be nice to go and I'll be able to ski and and oh she'll be able to have her first Christmas in the snow that she'll never remember a little. 00:47:36 Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know what if she'll never remember, with. 00:47:37 Speaker 2: All the videos that we take of it, she's gonna remember. 00:47:40 Speaker 3: By the way, By the way, I agree, good point, because there's so much video. 00:47:43 Speaker 5: It's just so easy. 00:47:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like I have, like the hard copies back when I was a kid, Jack's hies with black and white copies of photos. 00:47:49 Speaker 3: Jessica sets, Oh yeah, I have those too. 00:47:51 Speaker 2: I was saying, Jack's has like, you know, old black and white photos because he was born you know, back in the seventies fact before color was invented. So I was born in eighties, so that was nineteen eighty that's right when color card photos, Jack Jacksie. 00:48:02 Speaker 3: Our photos are like polaroids, and it's always like March eighty one. 00:48:08 Speaker 2: February seventy written in cursive on the back, and I faded because it's like the blue ball point. 00:48:15 Speaker 1: It's like faded, and all your ship, all his ship's like you know, fucking video. 00:48:20 Speaker 5: It's it's actually, how old are you? 00:48:23 Speaker 3: How are you? 00:48:23 Speaker 5: I'm thirty one now, not even forty one, okay, so yeah, and I'm fifty. That's a little right in the middle. Yeah, wow, yeah, like you were born like I was born before Nintendo. You were born what like Super Nintendo the second. 00:48:41 Speaker 3: I was I was born Atari twenty six hundred. 00:48:44 Speaker 2: I had that. My dad had that with the freaking orange orange. 00:48:49 Speaker 3: Pop. 00:48:49 Speaker 2: Of course, there's an instagram that pops up that it's like has all the game consoles and they're like, which one are you? And I'm like the first one. 00:48:58 Speaker 3: I was the one before that. 00:49:00 Speaker 5: There was the test before it became a little die. Oh yeah, sketch it. 00:49:05 Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh my gosh wow. 00:49:07 Speaker 1: And then what about I mean, it's just fun and reminisce. But what about technology? So when you were so we'll start with you when you were born, when we were young. 00:49:15 Speaker 5: Technology is also slower in Australia than it is a little. 00:49:18 Speaker 1: Bit when you were a teenager, like because that's the time you want to run, Like when you were thirteen and like seventeen, what device did you did you rock? 00:49:25 Speaker 4: Oh? 00:49:25 Speaker 5: I didn't even have a fine I'll grow up in the country, so I was. 00:49:27 Speaker 3: Nothing nothing, Okay? Uh was what was your first phone? 00:49:32 Speaker 2: You ever got? 00:49:32 Speaker 5: That you that you can remember thirty three fifteen when I was like sixteen. 00:49:38 Speaker 3: Noia Kia was just the square device. 00:49:42 Speaker 5: Yeah, I remember, okay, and that was my first mine. 00:49:44 Speaker 2: You had a pager and I was paid Yeah ninety three pager, that pager where you would like you could you have. 00:49:50 Speaker 3: To go to the sety three Wait ninety three. 00:49:52 Speaker 1: I was graduating college and I had my first flip phone in and then I remember I was so excited going to the flip ninety three flip phone ninety four when I was graduating college that. 00:50:02 Speaker 2: Maybe my mom just didn't buy it for me. 00:50:03 Speaker 3: You probably didn't get it. Yeah, you got right, I got we all have. I had a pager. I had a pager al during college, but then I got I was able to like, in my what does a page it's a little much, it's a little any way, take a moment. Please just take a moment. Take a moment. 00:50:17 Speaker 1: This is what's amazing about generational gap. Brock just said it, by the way, not even making fun of me. I'm just saying, wow, Well. 00:50:24 Speaker 5: Because I always see them in the movies like oh I got a page and they looked down and it's. 00:50:27 Speaker 3: Like, oh, I just want to take this moment. 00:50:30 Speaker 5: I mean, he's being sincere. 00:50:32 Speaker 3: That's what's amazing. I feel like I feel like I just grew another ring. 00:50:35 Speaker 2: I think I just age you. 00:50:37 Speaker 3: I'm picking up my coffee. You have to I'm picking out my fucking casket. 00:50:41 Speaker 1: The fuck. 00:50:41 Speaker 3: Let's go look at what? Tell what the pager is? 00:50:47 Speaker 2: So patrons, this a little like you know, device square thing where like your mom would call you and like it would be from her number and the like you got to pull over. 00:50:54 Speaker 1: This one would show up. It would show up and like, this person's reaching you, and then you have to go to a pay phone. But in a back then it was a dime and then to like hey, and you'd be like, oh mom, Like he's got a page for It's like what time you're gonna be home? 00:51:07 Speaker 5: You like says She's kind of cool. When you on them, it's a vibrant. 00:51:12 Speaker 2: And it gets the number. But then like in high school, you could send message. You would do like you message it one for three. If you're dating someone, she would just randomly message you one for three I love you. Yeah yeah, And then you can do certain little things like the little codes and stuff. Yeah, your friends would know that this is like you know, like like where we're going to meet all types of like her number. Then next would be like like like another code of like all ones, which means like an exclamation point is an emergency, get you know, get over there. 00:51:38 Speaker 3: My parents had My parents had phones from the minute they came out. My parents were like like into the technology. And my mom had that first brick phone. 00:51:46 Speaker 2: I was so one of the with the backpack. 00:51:48 Speaker 3: My dad had the back yeah, the big thing with the big thing. It was like it looked like you were working, you know, working on like an aircraft. 00:51:54 Speaker 2: Like one in his car. I remember it never worked. He had one in the car, the car he had in a car there's and it never works, like this is a brand new car. This thing doesn't work with the cord, I mean with the cord of the whole thing, like in the car. Did you ever see like the Beverly Hillbillies movie from over the nineties, Remember when like the Beverly hill Billies, Like it's like the nineties movie and they're sending the back of the limo and they just you know, get out of their country and she pulls up the brick phone and they're like and the woman like she think she's talking to somebody. 00:52:21 Speaker 3: Earl oh, my god like that. 00:52:25 Speaker 5: When I moved to America, That's why I got a four to four number, because I wanted. 00:52:31 Speaker 3: No, oh my god, That's why. 00:52:36 Speaker 1: I was the same wh when I moved to LA I wanted three one old. Just be like oh, because at that time there was no four two four, It was three one oh. There was only three one o and two one three and eight one eight. So if you were like two and three, you're a Hollywood person. If you were eight, when eight you were the Valley and three and oh you were like Beverly Hills. I was broken and a nickel and I'm like, I'm yeah. I mean why I parked my car sixteen blocks away from the valet because I didn't want Tony to see, you know, the rundown car I had because early work. 00:53:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, that was I'm ee. Because when I first moved here, I moved lived in Tuluga Lake for I think the first yeah, for the first year, and then Silver Lake. You kept it and I just kept it. 00:53:10 Speaker 1: Yeah, but you yeah, twenty one years, same number, same number, twenty one years. Well, I think I've had about three in the twenty one years, but one is like legit and I've. 00:53:21 Speaker 2: Had it for so long that sometimes people like mess like when we like when you know, people found out that I had a baby, I'll sudden just getting all these random numbers like congratulations, and you have no idea, no cloud, no idea, no clue, like I. 00:53:32 Speaker 5: Still my bad friend. I'm like, who who's these I have with semi random numbers? 00:53:35 Speaker 1: Yeah, but I'm the same and you know, and and then I start like I always want to change my number because I'm like, I just you stopped with all the constant messages. And then I'm like that I get an anxiety, like, oh my god. Then what about business? What about that guy like that I dealt with three years ago? What if he wakes up and wants to do a deal with me this year? 00:53:52 Speaker 2: I can't. 00:53:52 Speaker 1: I can't. 00:53:53 Speaker 3: Yeah, It's like I freak out. 00:53:54 Speaker 2: Yep, I loved Now. 00:53:59 Speaker 5: I go on for you? How's going back off the pages in the final spring? It back into being panenting? What about the sex lot? How are we doing it? How's it affected you guys? Has anything changed? Because I mean, yeah, let's why are you guys starn to me? 00:54:15 Speaker 3: Here's the thing I say. I think we're looking at you because you're nine months in so you have the most runway away from the birth. 00:54:23 Speaker 1: Okay, so let's start with you, and then I'll go to me because I'm ahead of Brock, and then Brock is the closest. 00:54:29 Speaker 3: To the birth. 00:54:29 Speaker 2: Okay, So I've I guess I'm I'm frustrated with myself because at forty one, I should be like like buying those pills at seven eleven to the front that like get you know, because forty one, I thought that my mojo is supposed to like go down. I don't know what happened, but like after when I like after, I feel like, yeah, after Harford was born, I I like, also, I'm so attracted to my wife that I'm just like you know when she like just changes, I'm like, hey, I'm so attracted to my wife, and my brain is so like sexually activated, like the past nine months, my body is like I feel like I'm I'm a rabbit. I just I'm always thinking about it. I always thinking about. 00:55:05 Speaker 3: Her hold on in pregnancy. How often you have. 00:55:07 Speaker 2: All the time, which is all the time at least to at least. 00:55:11 Speaker 1: To talk about we were like it just got like we did, but like it got like awkward. I thought I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. 00:55:21 Speaker 5: I definitely slide down. 00:55:23 Speaker 3: I was like, it was a little it was a little yeah, it's a little mental for a small penis. 00:55:28 Speaker 2: So I didn't have. 00:55:30 Speaker 6: You guys are like my big old dick was going to pop it in the head. Get at scientifically, no way whatever you have on her half I heard it was just. 00:55:40 Speaker 5: Like there's a lot going on there. I was like, honey, this isn't working for me. It just it just got It was emotional. 00:55:47 Speaker 3: It was a mental for me to doing now now what about after after so so on? So are you saying? 00:55:52 Speaker 2: So I would sit there and she would be like, you know, I have to get like you can't just we're not you know, it's not like first year that together, which instant. So now I'm like, now I found the way. I'm like, would you like, would you like a midday massage because there's there's no more morning sex because hardfer's gonna wake up. 00:56:09 Speaker 1: I'd rather sleep now, you know, you know what the hardest thing for us, and and and she's all about it, and she you know, we just had a conversation like you know, when she gets back from this trip, like she's. 00:56:20 Speaker 3: Really feeling it. 00:56:21 Speaker 1: And the thing about is is time and that's something that we're now working on in the relationship, is like, you just have to make sure that time in the relationship is a priority. 00:56:30 Speaker 3: And I think that was hard for both of us. 00:56:32 Speaker 1: I think the baby came and everything was about the baby and then work and then coming out of a pandemic, trying to make a living, trying to put you know, trying to get back to some level of even because I mean, it wasn't a great time. And I think now we've looked at each other and said, there's nothing more important than time together. 00:56:52 Speaker 3: And I think it took us. 00:56:54 Speaker 1: We're six months into to ocean, but I think it took us about four and a half months we started saying, Okay, it doesn't matter. 00:57:01 Speaker 3: We have to have time for each other. 00:57:02 Speaker 2: Because why, guys are the foundation. 00:57:03 Speaker 3: You need them. You need to keep that correct and I and I think people forget that. 00:57:07 Speaker 1: I think you know, when you ask people, they'll say, and therapists have told me this, you know that I've gone to in my life. Uh, you know, just on an individual base, they saying, you know, just so you know, relationship has to be the priority. Yeah, because if your relationship is healthy, your children will be healthy. Yeah, your relationship is dysfunctional. 00:57:25 Speaker 3: Your your children's dysfunctional. 00:57:27 Speaker 1: So I so we both took that as meaning not we're dysfunctional, but just like your kids are going to be great, but if you're great, they're going to be phenomenal, right, Like they're gonna be okay. So now we're saying okay, time together, date nights, trips, like. 00:57:44 Speaker 3: You know, we just on this floor. 00:57:46 Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And there's nothing more important to us now is creating that time together. 00:57:51 Speaker 3: So that's that's for us. 00:57:53 Speaker 1: It's helped us in the in our sex life and and being reconnected in a more positive way because and more positive but just in a healthier way, because our attention between work and our baby was taking up like consuming us. But now it's like no, no, no, no, Tuesday's date night doesn't matter what the fuck's going on. We're going out to dinner and we're coming home and we're getting it on. 00:58:15 Speaker 2: See yeah, Moday Night's definitely that's easy. 00:58:20 Speaker 5: Going to get home for the date night. It's like, wait, we have to Oh. I felt like we did the same thing Sina and I we had We were like we got to make time for ourselves. But then then it got to a point where we're putting so much pressure on coming home and having sex that it wasn't happening because I was just like for me, I was kind of like I was like, oh, I'm just gonna go to bed, like I'm tired. And so to get over that, we tried it a few times, went to Palm Springs and even during like our first time having sex after baby was like four months into it, and then everybody even trying was like halfway through making that with her in like full play, I'm like, I like, look at her, what are you thinking about right now? Well, she's like, oh, I'm thinking is it still the same down there? Is my baby inside? Like I was like, it's and then that doesn't do it for me? Yeah, and needs you win with this? This is I need a response for that to get that energy gone. 00:59:06 Speaker 1: So like you need the connection and you also and you're also also probably and I know you because your sense of a person like you want her to feel safe and connected. So you're asking her like are you all right? And she's also has the insecurities, which which I know you know Lala has or had you know, I think in the beginning, but it's like I just tell her like it's you and I like, don't don't worry, like when we're in that moment, like let's just and she's she's you know, she h yeah. 00:59:31 Speaker 3: I think. I think you've got to just work on it because it thinks not it. There's no book to it. 00:59:35 Speaker 5: It's like, well, exactly what worked for us was just spontaneously, So what instead of me going like, hey, like let's go, we're gonna go to dinner, it's not get it on. After I was like, hey, honey, I'm getting the shower quick, come with me. And then I dumped in shouting and it was like, oh that was easy, see where it is. And then it just took all the stress of going to dinner and coming home and playing and have six like the mental runway there. I was just like handy jumping shower with me real quick that we just started making out and the it what God. 01:00:02 Speaker 2: It's almost like those like the nerves like when you're saying it's like the nerves on the first date, you're like all the day, like do I kiss her when I drop her off? I mean like I got to the restaurant yet, But do I kiss her when I drop her off? Oh my god, what do I do? What I or you know, or just even that first yeah, this first moment. But we sit there and uh, we just kind of I just have the thing like I'm saying, midday massage and you know, and I go midday massage, no touchy like, no sexy time, just to be like, if she doesn't want sexy time, you still get a massage, right, Sometimes she does, so then it's like it's it's a win when she gets a massage and you know, we get to you know, make a love. 01:00:34 Speaker 5: I love that. 01:00:36 Speaker 2: Yeah. 01:00:37 Speaker 5: I've never been so happy and like happy in any relationship my entire life. But now with this one, she's she's a mother of my child, and it's she's amazing. It's just the best. Like, and talk to guys that have the same situations going on, like I just always want to make sure I did the best version of myself for my family now, and that's the pressure I put on myself. 01:00:56 Speaker 1: And it's an evolution, like we're all nobody's perfect law is not perfectly I'm not for you guys, like, but but as long as you work on it and you put the effort in. 01:01:03 Speaker 3: I think we're all in up in the right place. 01:01:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we're doing pretty damn good. 01:01:07 Speaker 3: I think we're over I think the three of us are overachievers. 01:01:10 Speaker 5: I definitely didn't put my kid in a bulks yet now or it sucks, I'm going to order ed Carton's milk car what is it? 01:01:21 Speaker 2: Carts for all of us? 01:01:23 Speaker 1: All right, all right, this was awesome and honestly this is probably my favorite podcast.
