Speaker 1: Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King. I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and Bell Collective. Every episode, we recap reality television from the Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well. Rain Drops, the Man, the Myth, the Legend, Gibson John's is back on Reality with the King.

00:00:43
Speaker 2: It's been too long, Carlos. You know the people like when you link up. So I'm happy for doing this.

00:00:49
Speaker 3: I am happy too.

00:00:51
Speaker 1: What's so funny is my audience is called the rain Drops. Okay, so Gibson, we have to name yours if you haven't already.

00:00:58
Speaker 4: We haven't named the gathering that gift audience yet.

00:01:02
Speaker 2: I mean, they can be the Gabbers, I guess, but like, I don't know if that has nice. I don't want loves like the ring to that, so I think we need to workshop that.

00:01:09
Speaker 3: What about the Dirty Johns?

00:01:16
Speaker 4: Oh that's pretty good.

00:01:19
Speaker 3: Dirty look the Dirty Johns.

00:01:22
Speaker 4: Listen to.

00:01:24
Speaker 3: I mean, I like the Gabbers, I do. I do? You know the Dirney Jobs is a little bit more.

00:01:31
Speaker 4: You know, you put some sauce on it.

00:01:35
Speaker 5: Okay, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, I put some sauce on it. Because listen, your podcast is everybody loves Gibson and your audience loves you.

00:01:48
Speaker 1: They're very passionate about your podcast about you. They have been begging, like, we're not you two going back on each other's podcast because you and I are always commenting on each other's voice, because I do, so, I'm like, you know what the it's the per Actually listen, if you are a faithful listener of Gibson and mine, you would know that he and I.

00:02:12
Speaker 3: I want to say, our last episode was about Jersey, and we had two very controversial, controversial takes on the opposite end of the spectrum. So I would like to start this episode. Okay, so Rain Gobs and the Dirty Johns.

00:02:28
Speaker 1: We're gonna talk about Ladies in London and Sarah Michelle Geller's common on Bibley Hills. But first Gibson and Carlos, we're gonna talk about the news of how Jersey is back filming season fifteen. And how the new cast what other new casts. But the remaining cast members include Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, and Delores Catana Gibson.

00:02:57
Speaker 3: People knew where they were when Jay.

00:03:00
Speaker 6: Ok passed away Junior, right, people knew, well they were well, Beyonce gop a surprise album. Where were you when you learn that one of your favorites because you have a favorite, Well, Messa Gorga is returning to our screens.

00:03:16
Speaker 4: Yeah, I was. I was traveling.

00:03:19
Speaker 2: I was coming back from Mexico City earlier this week, and I've a little stuffed up still, like I was at a bachelor party.

00:03:24
Speaker 4: Was a little it was too much fun.

00:03:27
Speaker 2: But you know, I feel like we sort of knew this was coming in a way, like I didn't know the official announcement was coming. But the minute that I saw Margaret's announcement, I was like, Oh, that means that things are happening over a Bravo and they're preparing to share some news because all of a sudden to market for margat Joseph to announce after like a year and a half that she's not coming back to the show, that means that they're about to announce who is coming back to the show, right, So I think we were sort of prepped for that, and you know, the minute that they reunited and the fact that reunion has they maintained that connection, it seems.

00:04:05
Speaker 4: It was like, all right, it's game on.

00:04:07
Speaker 2: Let's get those cameras up, like, let's stop fucking fooling around here and let's you know, let's get those cameras rolling.

00:04:13
Speaker 4: So that's where I was, and I wasn't super surprised.

00:04:19
Speaker 3: Are you happy? Yeah?

00:04:21
Speaker 4: I am.

00:04:22
Speaker 2: I mean, at this point, it's like it's been so long. I think it's funny that we waited such a long time to land back.

00:04:27
Speaker 4: With Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores, like the main three. You know, it's pretty funny.

00:04:32
Speaker 2: I think it just points to the fact that, like the show actually wasn't that broken, they just needed a break.

00:04:38
Speaker 4: I think.

00:04:40
Speaker 2: The break was long, and I actually think they could have brought more people back. But I do think that, you know, ultimately, I'm happy. I'm a little bit wary of like it not being enough of a step forward for the show, like are we that's fair, just because like I feel like some of the messaging over the past year and a half has been like you know, like Jersey has to be revitalized and Jersey has to be this, that and the other, and it's like, all right, well we're back with Melissa, Teresa Dolores, and I love that. I feel like we feel at home with those three. But how do you like take them and also push the show forward. I don't know, Like I am assuming the new women will help do that, but I'm happy.

00:05:20
Speaker 3: I'm happy with it.

00:05:22
Speaker 4: I am, I am. I'm gonna miss Margaret personally.

00:05:25
Speaker 2: I think that she's like one of the best housewives this franchise Ha's ever had, but I understand that like her, and I think her and Teresa just can't. I think there are the two that can't share our screen anymore.

00:05:35
Speaker 4: No, the two? Yeah, no, do.

00:05:37
Speaker 1: You respectfully do you believe that Margaret walked away from the show.

00:05:45
Speaker 3: No, I don't, Okay.

00:05:47
Speaker 4: No, I don't. I think that.

00:05:50
Speaker 2: I think that Margaret would have stayed on the show forever, just like probably many of these women.

00:05:55
Speaker 3: Totally.

00:05:55
Speaker 2: But I mean, I guess the one there maybe is a small part of me that believes that, like Margaret was told, yeah, Teresa's coming back, and she didn't want to pretend to play because if if Margaret wouldn't have played NXT with Teresa, then the show would have just stayed where it was a year and a half ago. I think, yeah, And so she can't protect, she can't pretend with Teresa and Louis.

00:06:20
Speaker 3: She can't. No, no, no, Listen. She despises Louie.

00:06:23
Speaker 1: And the reason why I'm using that word is because she pretty much said that and she has and describing Louie right, she uh not Teresa right.

00:06:32
Speaker 3: I want to make sure that I give the honest report.

00:06:36
Speaker 1: She despises Louie because she has a ledge that Louie contacted her son, right, which he of course denied.

00:06:45
Speaker 3: Look, I agree with you. My rain dropped. Some of them were like, Carlos, we're not giving Margaret anything but the big about me. I'm always fair and I agree with you Margaret.

00:06:55
Speaker 1: Her pigtails were a great addition to They were so and prior to the darkness that occurred last season.

00:07:04
Speaker 3: I enjoyed Margaret.

00:07:06
Speaker 1: I thought she knew how to activate Teresa and the rest of the cast in a way that made Teresa shine Teresa. One thing I love about Teresa is the fact that she's like, bring a bitch, you know, like Teresa has never backed down to anything, and I want the treehod girl, because I am the king of it.

00:07:24
Speaker 3: I want them to know that Teresa likes.

00:07:26
Speaker 1: It when she's able to have that sort of debate with people now, granted, not the way it was presented the past couple of seasons.

00:07:37
Speaker 3: And I agree with you.

00:07:38
Speaker 1: I think Margaret coming back, it would have been We're like, what the fuck are we getting ourselves into right now if we're gonna have this cast back? And look when it comes to Melissa, I am I've said this on my podcast too. I'm happy she's back. I do enjoy Joe Gorga, and I'm happy to see the possibility of Teresa Melissa really maintaining their relationship. I hope as not a Kim and Nini one where it always started off good at the top of the season and then it sort of went down here.

00:08:14
Speaker 3: Towards the end. I'm hoping that doesn't happen, but I think it's a step in the right direction.

00:08:20
Speaker 4: Yeah, me too.

00:08:22
Speaker 2: It'd be a shame if they went back to that place, because again, like what are we doing here for? Like, like, why do we wait so long just for them to slide back into that place, like hopefully the new women are strong enough that they can like mix it up with them enough, I guess, And yeah, like I'm excited. I'm just sort of like I have felt a Jersey sized hole in the Houselives like universe of the past year and a half. And listen, like, you know, I've criticized Teresa over the years, but ultimately, like there's no denying that she's like part of the DNA of the show and deserves to be there. And so I'm not I'm definitely not now that Teresa's back by any means at all. And that's not that's definitely not my perspective on this. It's just it's just funny how it shakes out, you know, after all that time, you know, this is this is what we this is what we're going with.

00:09:17
Speaker 4: But I'm happy with it. I am.

00:09:20
Speaker 1: Jackie Goldschneider rain drops in Dirty John's release the video, and I'm not gonna lie. I thought the video of the beginning was a parody because Jackie started off by proclaiming, I can't even say this with a straight face, and I love Jackie, but girl Jackie alleges that she was asked to comeback full time, and she said no, because.

00:09:53
Speaker 3: You know, the show is not going in the direction she wants to go to. She wants to get off the hamster wheel and blah blah, blah blah.

00:09:59
Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh, insert the you know studio track of the laughing track that when I watched you know Seinfeld or Friend, Like, yes, I still was waiting for the advanced April Fool's joke. It is March twenty six at the time of taping. We have a couple more days, so April First, she has not retracted her statement.

00:10:27
Speaker 3: Gibsid do you believe Jackie was asked to come back full time on Jersey? No, Carlos, Why was radio made?

00:10:43
Speaker 2: I I think she thought it was funny. I think she thought it was like gonna be obviously taken as a joke. But it's just sort of like, knowing what she did in her last season, which was to completely flip just for the sake of you gave me keeping her job as a friend, I don't really trust anything that she's boasting about this.

00:11:08
Speaker 4: So no, I do not believe that Jackie was offered a spot on the show. I think that I think.

00:11:14
Speaker 2: Her fate was was very clear the day that final episode aired. Personally, when she when they had that that one shot of her sort of hobbling away, you know, it wasn't very kind, like in her pants. Yeah, yeah, that wasn't that. I think that the writing was on the wall, you know, in August of twenty twenty four. So I don't believe what.

00:11:36
Speaker 3: I don't know. Gibbs is so sweet. I love, but he's like.

00:11:42
Speaker 2: The life I really liked. I really liked Jackie for a long time on this show. I thought that she was really good and I think that she listen one remember that Yea, she was not afraid of trees, and it was honestly a joy to watch.

00:11:56
Speaker 3: It was.

00:11:56
Speaker 2: It was like Sparks on the TV. Then she totally lost the plot in the past couple of years of her time on that show. I mean, and you could say that about a lot of them, but like Jackie, I think especially lost the plot during her final two seasons. So you know, it's I'm curious what you think because I feel like, again I really maintained that they probably could have brought back more people, but I think I feel like with like Danielle and Rachel for example.

00:12:23
Speaker 4: They sort of came in two seasons.

00:12:25
Speaker 2: Ago, right, and like they were never like amazing to me, but I think Danielle especially pops a little bit more. But yeah, they kind of got the short end of the stick just because like they were pretty solid, I guess like they were, they were decent at being a housewives, and I feel like they just joined it like the worst possible time for themselves, you know what I mean, like right ahead of this shakeup, because in another world they could have skated by kind of like you know, a couple of other pairs that we know and been on for five or six seasons.

00:12:53
Speaker 1: I think I agree with you when it's funny because I remember having a conversation with Marlon Hampton from Atlanta Housewives for those who don't know, and she said this publicly.

00:13:04
Speaker 3: That's why I'm.

00:13:04
Speaker 1: Repeating it when the soft reboot of Atlanta happened where Kenya Moore and Porsche Williams were the only returning like vets and they were surrounded by Samia Kelly Bredy and Angela Oganjela right, and Marlowe said she really which is in hindsight, she was a part of that cast because She felt that that leaned more into her world than being on the same show with like Candy and Schara. She just felt like all of that was just didn't fit her as well. She preferred to be there. I still that to say. That is how I feel about Dan, Yelle, and Rachel, Like it would have been nice for them to be inserted into this season because I don't think they're bad housewives. I think they have something. I think Danielle has more than Rachel. But I'm being honest me too bad reality stars. Unfortunately, I do think it was a matter of faith. They came in at the wrong time. I am looking forward to new women. I am, and that's why listen. I know people think I give them Melissa Gore good hard time, and Gibson John is one of those people too. But one thing I will say, I am honestly looking forward to seeing Melissa, Teresa and Dolores back and I'm looking forward to seeing what fair dynamic is going to be. So to all of the people out there who think I hate Melissa, I even told my friend Teresa when I learned that they were coming back, you know, I called her, congratulated her, and I said, look, I like this direction and she was happy that I was pleased with the way it's returning.

00:14:53
Speaker 3: So I'm looking forward to it good.

00:14:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, And I feel like ultimately like these three are great on TV, two different for different reasons. You know, Melissa, Dolores and Teresa, they're all good at TV and they belong there and we'll see. I mean, it's like, it's hard, it's hard to imagine them creating bad TV right, Like it's unless like the New Women are total flops.

00:15:16
Speaker 4: But I feel like I feel.

00:15:19
Speaker 2: Like Miami being put on pause and them, I think they figure Jersey out. The writing on the wall for me is they figure Jersey out in this latest round of testing quick more quickly than they may be expected to mean that gives me hope. I think that gives me hope about these new women who they found whoever they are. They're rumors by who they are, but I have faith in it.

00:15:40
Speaker 4: I really do.

00:15:42
Speaker 3: I'm going to.

00:15:43
Speaker 1: Make this statement, this is an exclusive rain Drops and Dirty John's as we get into Billy Hills, a comment that Sarah Michelle gill Or, may I want to state this as Gibson did bring up the Pauls, these wives of Miami, which is one of my favorite housewives shows.

00:16:03
Speaker 3: That chap is a ten out of a ten.

00:16:06
Speaker 1: I will say this exclusively. I want Larsa Pippen on Beverly Hills Housewives.

00:16:14
Speaker 4: I mean, Larsa is made for TV. I'm sorry, say what you want to say. She's made for TV having her on my TV screen.

00:16:22
Speaker 3: Hi, Larsa, this is Carlos King. We're friends. I love you, we follow get a popping. We vem each other. You know you Let me know who I need to call, who you need to call your people. Get Larsa back.

00:16:35
Speaker 1: Larsa, as you all know, used to live in Los Angeles. We see her on Keeping Up with the kardash She has a presence in Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills needs something, and I think what's missing is Larsa Pippen. She is beautiful Larsa Pipen. Money is long, but okay, she is wealthy.

00:16:57
Speaker 3: She has the lifestyle.

00:17:00
Speaker 1: And not only that. Larsa Pippen is a firecracker. She is magnetic. She is polarizing. I am a Larsa Pippen.

00:17:10
Speaker 3: Stand.

00:17:10
Speaker 1: I am begging everybody if you want to pause.

00:17:16
Speaker 3: Miami. I'm sad about it.

00:17:18
Speaker 1: However, if that means Larsa Pippen can remotalize Beverly Hills, get her ass on that show because Gibson Johns.

00:17:26
Speaker 3: In the words of Sarah Michelle Geller, it's warring.

00:17:31
Speaker 2: What a beautiful transition, Carlos, that was Ah, I love it. Yeah, yeah, I listen. I would love to see that. Part part of the issue. Part part of the issue with Beverly Hills is they don't have anybody like Rina, like Larsa who calls it out, who who asked the tough question and put you on the spot. They don't have many people who do that, and they don't do it enough. And so we have these like pleasant where we talk around things, you know, and that's not what good housewives make.

00:18:07
Speaker 3: This is reality with the King. And I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show. No, no, no, no.

00:18:15
Speaker 1: So Sarah Michelle Geller, who by the way, is a legend, Okay, she made a comment that it was boring on Page six radio show with our friend Evan.

00:18:30
Speaker 4: Real and Why Danny Danny Danny.

00:18:34
Speaker 3: I love that, Okay, Evan and Danny show. And you know, listen, they're like you and I they're gonna.

00:18:39
Speaker 7: Ask the questions, and they were shocked by Sarah's common First of all, if you guys watched the clip, the reason why I love Sarah Michelle is because she's like one of us.

00:18:53
Speaker 1: She's a viewer, and she's like, I have comments and I have opinions, and I want to talk about it. So when they ask about Bibly Hills, she said it's boring, and she looked around.

00:19:02
Speaker 4: Like, you guys, who's gonna disagree with me? Yes?

00:19:06
Speaker 1: And they were taken aback and then they were like, because you know, sometimes celebrities like to, you know, BPC politically correct, Sarah said, bitch, I'm buffy and I'm gonna slates shit, okay, and she did.

00:19:19
Speaker 3: And I thought like it was refreshing for it to be honest.

00:19:24
Speaker 1: Because listen, I'll speak for myself. It's not the best season, right, so to say the elephant in the room, I thought was refreshing. Were you surprised, before I get to what Angy Cohen said recently, were you surprised that Sarah was so like blunt with her response.

00:19:50
Speaker 2: I guess I wasn't like so surprised because I don't know if this was before or after.

00:19:56
Speaker 4: She was also on Watch Hoppings Live, Like.

00:20:00
Speaker 2: I don't know if it was the night before the night after, I don't know, but I remember her saying, and this is this adds another sort of layer to it.

00:20:07
Speaker 4: She was almost Derey, I'm pretty sure.

00:20:09
Speaker 2: And they were talking about Beverly Hills and how she's friends with Crystal and you know she's connected to the women, and they were like, wait, Sarah, like why don't you do the show? And she's like, I'm too boring. My lifestyle is so boring, Like I would not be good on a show like this. And so she first of all, she called herself boring as well, too boring.

00:20:27
Speaker 4: For the show.

00:20:28
Speaker 2: So there's like layers to what she like her her take on Beverly Hills. But it sounds like maybe she was saying different things to different.

00:20:36
Speaker 4: People about her opinion on the show. But like, I love that she went there. I love that she went there.

00:20:42
Speaker 2: I missed celebrities going fall in and you know, there's nothing better than a celebrity bravoholic who will tell you what they really think about things. Yeah, Chrissy Teagan used to be that way. She's no longer that way, And I don't know. Last time she was on Watchrappan's Live, she was really gun shy about sharing her full opinions on things in the way that she didn't used to be. So Sarah Michelle Geller doing that I really appreciated, and honestly, like, I think Andy needs to hear that from like a high profile fan of the show because us saying we're not as entertained by Beverly Hills this season, that's coming from a place of wanting to really like it. We don't want to dislike Housewives franchise, We don't want to find it boring. We want to be entertained. We want it to be dynamic, and it's just not as dynamic as it used to be. And that's just kind of facts.

00:21:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, and look, and I'll say this, you know, as a creative producer, when people don't like my shows, don't like the particular season on my shows, listen, it's not the greatest thing to hear. But I also also learned this from Toler Perry, where you have to look at some of the be critiques and find the truth in them, because in some of them there's a truth, and you have to sit back and be like, oh, okay, I see things that way.

00:21:59
Speaker 3: So I definitely get the sensitivity. Nobody wants their show to be called war boring, right, and I'm one of them. The thing, though, is this, and I think the thing with Beverly Hills is everybody's saying it.

00:22:15
Speaker 1: I've said in my podcast, Alexi's Jansen is saying it.

00:22:22
Speaker 3: It everybody's saying it, right.

00:22:25
Speaker 2: I just had I just had Ronnie from watcher Craftin's on my podcast. We talked about it and he said it's an a sporing era and I agreed with him, like We're like, we're all saying the same thing, and so if enough people are saying it, yeah.

00:22:37
Speaker 3: And I think that was a thing.

00:22:39
Speaker 1: So rain johns Andy Cohen said that he didn't like the fact that I'm using because I want to make sure I don't miss quote. He said on today's episode of Radio Andy that I guess Page six Radio interviews Sarah Michelle Gellar and it was in our studio and then they posted Sarah Michelle Geller is bored by this season of the Real Housewives of belly Hills. He said she's wrong, by the way, okay, And on top of that, he said, you know, pretty much, if you're not gonna he said, pretty much, if you're gonna post that, don't do it on my page with my name on the screen and that kind of stuff, which I definitely understand too. Yeah, but I listen. I think listen because everybody is saying it. I think that's why I have a different response to it, because if everybody was saying to me, Carlos, your show this season is boring, I wouldn't even comment on it because I feel like if the show has been on for fifteen seasons, like Beverly Hills Housewives, you're going to be in a boring era is bound to happen, which is why shows do get put on Paul's And I think when it comes to Belly Hills, it just.

00:24:12
Speaker 3: It just needs something injected that's spicy.

00:24:18
Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's I totally.

00:24:21
Speaker 2: I have so much love and respect for Andy, but it's so interesting, like what he'll get defensive about or what sort of what he kind of refuses to nudge on to budge on. And I feel like Beverly Hills is becoming one of those things that seems like I feel like he has defended it another time on his radio show, maybe, but like not on this high profile of a way, but he clearly like that's clearly a point of sensitivity. Like I think on Threads, I saw him reply to somebody and say, like, you guys are too hard on Beverly Hills.

00:24:49
Speaker 4: And maybe that's true.

00:24:51
Speaker 2: Maybe there's like a point where people like are kind of going with the same point to criticism. But again, it's sort of like if enough people think this way, then maybe there's.

00:25:01
Speaker 4: Something that has to change about the show.

00:25:02
Speaker 2: And again, I have been kind of enjoying the season, Like when I sit down for an episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I enjoy myself like it's a it's a nice watch, right, But when you compare it to other housewives specifically, it's like, Okay, maybe there is like a missing level here. It's not it's not going enough places. And it just reminds me the way that he sort of responded to this sort of reminds me a little bit of how he respond to criticism about Rony, which feels like it's very defensive and people will all say the same thing about it, and there's kind of a refusal to like.

00:25:39
Speaker 4: Admit that anything's wrong with it. So it's tough.

00:25:43
Speaker 2: And I think that, like you know, they probably thought going into this, it's like we have Rachel Zoe coming back, which has been amazing, but like she's not going to single handedly like right the ship, you know.

00:25:55
Speaker 1: So no, and and listen, I will say this may Beverley Hills great, okay, is the fact that.

00:26:06
Speaker 3: It's definitely wealth porn.

00:26:10
Speaker 1: You know, you get to see the access of operational, it's aspirational. But the one thing they had was, although we have all of this wealth and access to it, we still know how to have conflict in a way that's entertaining. And that to all of us was the gem of Beverly Hills. Because even Camille Grammar and Kyle's Bean Graat, Lisa Vanda.

00:26:34
Speaker 3: Pump and you know, Brandy Glanville and.

00:26:37
Speaker 1: Kim Richards and Lisa Rena and I Lean Day, Aileen fucking Davidson, you know what I mean, Like, you had these women who are like Erica Jane.

00:26:46
Speaker 3: The list goes on and on, Garcel. I mean, I could keep talking.

00:26:49
Speaker 1: But my point is these women were a part of this aspirational life, but they also were quippy and were snarky and they were able to react debated, and I think what's missing this season is it's not activated. I think Sutton. I miss Sutton being you know, spicy. I thank God for Derie who is you know, thank God for dere Dere's back being the woman I fell in love with her first season. But look, I get it, it's a very sensitive thing to talk about because at the end of the day, the Real Housewives of Belly Hills is a huge moneymaker network. It's the number one housewives show. It's it's it's pleasing for advertisers because the people who watch the show are very successful women and who can buy what the advertisers are selling. And to have someone like Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lawrence talk about it on the d Michelle Geller, you know what I mean, Like, yeah, have these women able to talk about it? I think is a step in the in the in the direction of like, yes, this is a pop culture show.

00:28:14
Speaker 3: But also think, at the end of the day, look, everybody can't be.

00:28:19
Speaker 2: Wrong, yeah exactly, Like is it is it completely broken?

00:28:24
Speaker 1: No?

00:28:25
Speaker 4: I really don't believe that. I just think that they need to activate an agent.

00:28:28
Speaker 2: And Sutton took a step back because she lost Garcel and she wanted to re ingratiate herself with the group, so she's no longer her instigating self. They lost Garcel, who sometimes had moments of doing that. Obviously, this has I think been sort of a bigger issue.

00:28:43
Speaker 4: Since Rinna left and they have not.

00:28:45
Speaker 2: They have not found a true replacement for that kind of role, and that's really that's the biggest thing to me.

00:28:51
Speaker 4: I don't really have that much of an.

00:28:52
Speaker 2: Issue with Kyle or Jerid or Erica or people like that, Like I don't. That's not That's not what's what's holding the show back my opinion. It's really that missing activating agent.

00:29:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I see it.

00:29:07
Speaker 1: You need two more and one of them needs to be lost of Pippens. So Rain Dawson, Dirty Johns. Let us know the comments if you guys agree or not, because there is one show that is.

00:29:21
Speaker 3: This show, as I'll take off my glasses.

00:29:26
Speaker 1: Not since Monica Garcia's season on the Real House Squad of Salt Lake City has the rain Drops begged me to watch the show because I wasn't watching that season right until they said to me, you fucking loser, watch this season.

00:29:45
Speaker 3: There's this woman named Monica Garcia.

00:29:47
Speaker 1: It's the best television we're seeing, and I'm like, whatever, jenshaw lefthim.

00:29:51
Speaker 3: My interest in.

00:29:52
Speaker 1: I watched it and I was pleasantly wrong, right, like, oh, I was wrong, and I'm happy I'm to watch it, and I was surprised by how great it was. The same thing's happening with Ladies of London two Beverly Hills. My message to you, guys is this, Ladies of London is the new Beverley Hills Housewives. They have money, the access to wealth, the positioning of like government officials and and and all of that, and they're messy, but they're not messy in a way that feels like they're putting off for television.

00:30:31
Speaker 3: They're messy in a way.

00:30:32
Speaker 1: Where I am shocked at the level of petty that they entertain.

00:30:40
Speaker 3: And kudos to one hit wonder. It is like.

00:30:51
Speaker 4: The Madam, the Madam.

00:30:52
Speaker 1: The agend who told you, bitches, I don't need this in my life and I didn't sign up to be in this type of show.

00:31:01
Speaker 3: And I'm leaving.

00:31:03
Speaker 1: But Gibson, thank you for telling me to watch this, and thank you to the rain Drop.

00:31:08
Speaker 3: This show a ten out of a ten. I am four episodes.

00:31:12
Speaker 1: In episode five eras tonight, I'm gonna start recapping this shit. But Gibson explained to the audience in case you're not watching Ladies of London, do you, I mean this ship is so good.

00:31:24
Speaker 2: I mean it's so good. The casting is fantastic. First of all, like they really found women who are connected. They have the only black women in any level of nobility in like all of England, and she lives in the biggest house in England with which has a safari at it like it is its next level. They have these they have these two women who are slightly older than the rest of the cast, who are like total one of the kinds Kimmy and Martha, who they are the type of women who kind of feel like retro Bravo, where like they will say what they're saying things as if there's no consequence to it and as if they don't care how they come across at all on reality TV, whereas like all of the American casts come in knowing that there are consequences for what they say, and they want to work with brands and they want to start companies.

00:32:18
Speaker 4: These women don't give.

00:32:18
Speaker 2: A shit about that they are just like calling shit. I mean, there was an episode where a woman talked about how her brother got murdered on Christmas Eve in front of his son. It was like the most tragic story you can imagine. They get back in the car after the group event and Kimmy goes, oh, brother, Like who needs that sob story? I didn't come to this winery to hear that. Like, it's just that is what they say, and it's just rare these days to hear people talk like this actually, and it really, I said, it feels retro. The whole show feels retro to me in a really good way. Man, it is really good. It is like they have some Americans and some Brits. They have a gay guy as as part of the cast.

00:33:00
Speaker 4: Like it all just works.

00:33:03
Speaker 2: And I laughed, it's just and I genuinely like, there's nobody who I really dislike on this cast either, like some of them pop more than others, but like, okay, you know, it's fantastic.

00:33:16
Speaker 4: It really is.

00:33:16
Speaker 1: No the conversations again, they were accusing this woman of being a madam and she was confronted on it, and listen, she did not she denied it, but she tried to act so unbothered by it that I maybe believe this shit could be true.

00:33:39
Speaker 4: You know what I mean?

00:33:40
Speaker 3: It was.

00:33:40
Speaker 1: It was so weird, Like I want if somebody said to you, Gibson, I heard you're a pimp.

00:33:46
Speaker 3: You'd been like bitch, why right?

00:33:48
Speaker 4: Exactly? No, she didn't shut it down.

00:33:52
Speaker 2: And then she but then at the same dinner she's accused of talking shit about her friend at the table. She says, I never said that. I never said I never said I was embarrassed to be your friend. She goes back to the producers and we can't hear her because she's still miked, and she says, I did say that. And then and then she comes back and quits the show on camera, and it is I mean in the second episode it is and then and then she comes back in the third episode to have a sit down with the woman who she said she was embarrassing your friends with, and she's.

00:34:25
Speaker 4: Like, you need to do you need to believe me, you need to defend me. And it's like, wait, what like you were it's.

00:34:31
Speaker 1: Just baby baby Mika, Micah. I keep getting comforted.

00:34:36
Speaker 4: I think it's I think it's Micah.

00:34:38
Speaker 1: Okay, So Micah is so sweet. Micah's like, she's my best friend. Meanwhile, she's talking shit about you. She's saying that what's the word that they use? It wasn't thirsty.

00:34:48
Speaker 2: Cringe, cringe, because and Micah said, I know that it's true because that is not a British word. That is an American word, and Dare's American and so that's why she be that word.

00:35:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, yes, yes, So she's lying about that.

00:35:04
Speaker 1: And then you know, going back to the conversation about.

00:35:12
Speaker 3: Okay, is it miss A or Missy?

00:35:17
Speaker 2: The brother spell spelled miss but it's Missy Okay, So Missy is talking about her brother, like the story Gibson said earlier, you have Mark first of all, baby.

00:35:32
Speaker 3: The I mean, can we give a shout out to Margo Margo.

00:35:41
Speaker 4: I'm interviewing her tomorrow, Carlos, can you.

00:35:47
Speaker 3: Please ask her? Yes, Rain dropped and dirty John's.

00:35:52
Speaker 1: Margot's like, hey, she's talking about your brother, like that's what she's doing.

00:35:57
Speaker 3: And then it's Martha right who was doing get okay, So then.

00:36:05
Speaker 1: Kimmy is the one who was doing it, honey, And then Kimmy's and Martha Mammy Margo's face and Margo's like, get your finger on my face.

00:36:15
Speaker 3: Margo's activated. I thought she's about.

00:36:17
Speaker 1: To snatch her feet the way you know Kim and Meenie had that little finger snapped.

00:36:22
Speaker 3: That happened on camera. And then she calls her a pint size Popeye, a pine size Popie.

00:36:31
Speaker 4: Uh huh. Yep.

00:36:33
Speaker 3: This is my type of television.

00:36:36
Speaker 1: And the reason why, okay, because I want to make sure I explained to you guys why we are giving Beverly Hills a hard time this season is because I don't believe at all that you need a physical alifcation, a drink thrown in your face or anything like that for so to be entertaining.

00:36:57
Speaker 3: But the one thing.

00:36:58
Speaker 1: That Beverly Hills had, the level of petty and and and moments like Ladies in London are having, that made us love that show. And that's what's missing, because these women are going there and they have no fucks to give. And it's what Gibson said, they they don't care about a brand, which to me is so American.

00:37:22
Speaker 4: Yes, totally, And I think that's.

00:37:24
Speaker 3: The reason why this show works so well.

00:37:26
Speaker 4: Me too, me too.

00:37:27
Speaker 2: It's now that I'm thinking about it, it's like obviously Rachel Zoe was on Bravo back in that era sort of when Ladies of London originally was running, or even before that maybe Yeah, And so I actually think the way that Rachel's talking on Beverly Hills this season feels a little bit.

00:37:43
Speaker 4: Retro and how people used to talk, because like the way that she talked.

00:37:46
Speaker 2: About Amanda is like I have no comment, like she like really she really really doesn't hide it. And that is kind of how the women on Leady to London talk about each other, and like they just like really don't they They don't really beat around the bush. They're pretty savage with it, and it's just but they still has this air of like I don't need this show, but like they're still doing it.

00:38:08
Speaker 4: You know. It's like it's fun, Yes, exactly, It's like something to do. You know.

00:38:13
Speaker 2: They all have drivers, nobody drives themselves anywhere. They all have money, they all have amazing houses. They really don't need this small paycheck they're getting for a first season of a Bravo show, you know. But it's just a fun thing to maybe get famous more famous off of. And that's the other thing Carlos like every time one of them.

00:38:30
Speaker 4: Tells a story. There's like already a Daily Mail article about it that they cut to.

00:38:33
Speaker 3: Like it's like they're all.

00:38:35
Speaker 2: They all have some sort of profile in London and I've never heard of any of them, and like, I love that they That just speaks to like them having done a good job with casting yet again, like it's just they found good people for this show.

00:38:47
Speaker 3: It's it's listen. Gibson is beaming with pride so much.

00:38:53
Speaker 1: I'm so thankful you told me it's not my gifts and someone watched this shit you.

00:38:56
Speaker 3: Like, watch it.

00:38:58
Speaker 1: And then all the comments of the Gifts say watch it. They were like rich, watch it. And last week I'm like, I'm.

00:39:05
Speaker 3: Just tune into this shiit. I don't need another show.

00:39:08
Speaker 4: I know, you know, there's so many right now. It's a lot.

00:39:12
Speaker 1: It's a lot, Like it's hard enough to recap all the shows out there. But I will say this, no shade, because Bible Hills is the only Housewives that's on the air, I am missing a fun Sorry. I don't want to keep beating up their horse, but I am missing a show to talk about in that world.

00:39:29
Speaker 3: That's you know, makes me excited.

00:39:32
Speaker 1: But ladies of London is in So I want to tell you guys, I will be recapping this season. The mid season trailer just drops so rain Drops. I haven't seen it, Oh oh baby.

00:39:44
Speaker 3: It's good. It's good.

00:39:46
Speaker 1: It's more activation and if you haven't seen it, please binge this weekend. It's on Peacock as well obviously, so you could binge all the episodes like I did. I'm so happy I did it. It's such a good show. And I am going to hop on Gibson's podcast to talk about that and Marathon Medicine.

00:40:09
Speaker 3: Yes, I will be back on gabbing.

00:40:15
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:40:15
Speaker 2: We're having another rain Drops Dirty John's collab next next week we're doing Married to Medicine.

00:40:23
Speaker 4: We'll do Lady's London. Yeah, So I mean listen.

00:40:26
Speaker 2: I I I really had low expectations of this show because I had I had also downloaded, Hey you to watch Real Housewives of London like I like did the whole like VPN because I really wanted to watch it, which was on last year.

00:40:40
Speaker 3: But it's not.

00:40:42
Speaker 2: It's fucking amazing. I'm not kidding. No, no new Carlos. But what I'm saying is after that, I was like, how could ladies of London like even be good, you know, like they're probably casting from the same kind of pool of women for both of these shows. And Ladies Real Housewives of London was really, really, really good, the best first season of the house So I've showed that I can remember watching in a while who and So I had low expectations for Ladies in London. I really did, admittedly, and it really it surpassed them and then some by far.

00:41:14
Speaker 3: So yes, so listen.

00:41:17
Speaker 1: You heard it from Gibson and Carlos Watch it, watch it, watch it. And for those who are watching it, yes, I'm gonna recap it. I will be on Gibson's podcast for Rainy Jobs.
