<v Speaker 1>Yeah, my Bigfoot sightings are what led me to making
<v Speaker 1>two films. My name is Greg Ogles. I'm a freelance
<v Speaker 1>filmmaker and I got into bigfooting in twenty thirteen. I
<v Speaker 1>need a diversion in my life. At that point, I
<v Speaker 1>was getting tired of the same old run of the
<v Speaker 1>mill hunting and fishing, and I just needed something more
<v Speaker 1>in my life. When I was a kid, I had
<v Speaker 1>a UFO experience and it was somewhat traumatizing, but at
<v Speaker 1>the same time it had given me an enthusiasm into
<v Speaker 1>the unknown, and as a result, I grew up watching
<v Speaker 1>In Search of and Monster Quest and all of the
<v Speaker 1>other TV shows about the unknown, and one day I
<v Speaker 1>decided to just get up off the couch and joined
<v Speaker 1>the hunt. When I first started bigfooting, I had joined
<v Speaker 1>a Facebook group and got together with several friends and
<v Speaker 1>one of my mentors. His name was Paul Holsey, and
<v Speaker 1>he just recently passed away, God rest his soul, but
<v Speaker 1>he was my mentor and actually showed me the ropes,
<v Speaker 1>so to speak, and where and how to.
<v Speaker 3>Go bigfooting.
<v Speaker 1>In my daytime job, I'm a traffic engineer and it
<v Speaker 1>was part of my job in the year's past to
<v Speaker 1>investigate very complex crashes. So what I would do is
<v Speaker 1>go out and gather data and document things. And there's
<v Speaker 1>several ways you can document. You can write things down,
<v Speaker 1>you can use a voice recorder, and you can also
<v Speaker 1>just use a video like I was doing. So I
<v Speaker 1>was very used to documenting with a with a video
<v Speaker 1>recorder and gathering pieces of a puzzle to solve a mystery.
<v Speaker 1>It was no different than just say a crime investigator,
<v Speaker 1>who's you know, trying to piece together a puzzle to
<v Speaker 1>solve a crime. So I took some of those same
<v Speaker 1>tools from my daytime job into the bigfoot arena. When
<v Speaker 1>when I first started out on my very first outing.
<v Speaker 1>It was a group outing, and it was in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the summer, and it was very, very humid.
<v Speaker 1>Uh had just come a very large rainstorm and there
<v Speaker 1>was still water on the trees. You could hear them dripping.
<v Speaker 1>And we were just in a group out in the
<v Speaker 1>middle of the woods, just talking and listening to our
<v Speaker 1>mentor Paul, And as he was talking, I could hear
<v Speaker 1>something coming through the brush or through the trees, you know,
<v Speaker 1>sort of like when you brush up against a tree
<v Speaker 1>that right after it's rained, and you could hear the
<v Speaker 1>rain just fall down onto the ground the wh So
<v Speaker 1>I heard this and thought, well, well, maybe maybe it's
<v Speaker 1>a deer or something, you know, And I was really
<v Speaker 1>looking forward to getting a glimpse at a deer or
<v Speaker 1>the occasional bear, which we don't have a whole lot of,
<v Speaker 1>but you know, I thought it might be something. And
<v Speaker 1>to my surprise, everything got quiet. Everything got really really still,
<v Speaker 1>very quiet, but you could still you could still hear
<v Speaker 1>the water hit the ground as something was walking past
<v Speaker 1>the trees and the brush. And I got the attention
<v Speaker 1>of the person that was next to me, and I said, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>did you hear that? And she said yes, and she said,
<v Speaker 1>listen close. You can hear something kind of mumbling. So
<v Speaker 1>I started listening much closer, and sure enough, you could
<v Speaker 1>hear something something talking. There seemed to be like more
<v Speaker 1>than one. They seemed to be talking back and forth.
<v Speaker 3>It was a.
<v Speaker 1>Kind of sound is very difficult to explain and very
<v Speaker 1>even more difficult to reproduce. So I'm sitting here listening
<v Speaker 1>to that, and all the while, the rain drops from
<v Speaker 1>the trees keep getting closer and closer to our group. Now,
<v Speaker 1>the other lady and I we're the only ones in
<v Speaker 1>the group that's hearing this, but we're trying to gather
<v Speaker 1>the attention of everybody else. But Paul was still speaking,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, he was real emphatic about speaking, so
<v Speaker 1>it was really just left up to me and the
<v Speaker 1>lady that was right next to him to figure out
<v Speaker 1>what was going on. But as this thing is, whatever
<v Speaker 1>it was, was getting closer, you could just feel the
<v Speaker 1>tension in the air, and the air was real thick
<v Speaker 1>and just silent, dead silent. And then all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>and to our surprise, you heard crack. It was a
<v Speaker 1>very large limb, probably the diameter of about four to
<v Speaker 1>five inches. Something had broken that limb and it was
<v Speaker 1>only about thirty or forty yards away from us, and
<v Speaker 1>you're talking about jumping out of my skin. I was
<v Speaker 1>completely taken aback at what had happened. So we immediately
<v Speaker 1>just kind of, you know, gather ourselves together and what
<v Speaker 1>was looking in the direction of the tree crack. And
<v Speaker 1>I wanted to just run over there to see what
<v Speaker 1>it was. But then I was thinking, well, you know,
<v Speaker 1>what if it was a bear or something like that,
<v Speaker 1>I would be you know, that would be stupid. And
<v Speaker 1>I just didn't want to charge to my destruction, you know,
<v Speaker 1>so kept my faculties about me, and eventually we did
<v Speaker 1>meander over into the woods, you know, talking loudly and saying, hey, hey, hey, bear,
<v Speaker 1>just go on. But we found the limb that was cracked.
<v Speaker 1>Was like I said, it was only uh, you know,
<v Speaker 1>thirty four yards away from us. And this there was
<v Speaker 1>nothing wrong with it with this tree limb. It was
<v Speaker 1>not rotten. It was the sap was still running in it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah me, it was just very very very much alive.
<v Speaker 1>But the limb was about seven and a half.
<v Speaker 3>Eight foot up.
<v Speaker 1>So whatever broke the limb, what was high up in
<v Speaker 1>that tree or could reach way up in the tree.
<v Speaker 1>So that from the get go really caught my attention
<v Speaker 1>into bigfooting. Now I didn't see what that was, but
<v Speaker 1>looking back on the situation, I had heard that talking
<v Speaker 1>since then and I recognize it now. It was absolutely
<v Speaker 1>like the samurai chatter. It was absolutely bigfoot talking back
<v Speaker 1>and forth to each other. So what I think what
<v Speaker 1>happened in that particular situation was that we were in
<v Speaker 1>a particular area that they didn't want to send and
<v Speaker 1>they were trying to intimidate us to make us move
<v Speaker 1>on out of that area. Now, that particular event got
<v Speaker 1>me hooked. The next event that I went out, I
<v Speaker 1>had gathered a team together of my own. I was
<v Speaker 1>sitting here thinking, Wow, you know that there's if it's
<v Speaker 1>this easy to be around the bigfoot, I mean, there's
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be very easy to solve this mystery.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you know it's just a wood ape, right,
<v Speaker 1>you know, how smart can these things be? You know
<v Speaker 1>they're going to get caught. So I was used to
<v Speaker 1>documenting things, and I was used to presenting evidence, and
<v Speaker 1>I was used to gathering evidence to solve a mystery.
<v Speaker 1>So I just brought all of those tools into into
<v Speaker 1>the big footing world. So I called UAB, the University
<v Speaker 1>of Alabama and Birmingham. I called the theater department, and
<v Speaker 1>I said, uh, hey, do you have anybody who would
<v Speaker 1>be interested in making documentaries and their paranormal and nature
<v Speaker 1>and you know, just I could use anybody, anybody with
<v Speaker 1>any kind of training whatsoever, because I had nine zero zilch.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't care if it was an editor. I didn't
<v Speaker 1>care if it was somebody trained to be a producer,
<v Speaker 1>or even an actress or a cameraman. I desperately needed
<v Speaker 1>camera people. So UAB put me in touch with my
<v Speaker 1>then camera guy. So we went out on our first outing.
<v Speaker 3>It was.
<v Speaker 1>In twenty fourteen and is in early twenty fourteen, maybe
<v Speaker 1>it was late January early February. So everything was dead
<v Speaker 1>as far as the foliage goes, and it was rather
<v Speaker 1>cool generally, but on this particular day that we went out,
<v Speaker 1>we wanted to go out scouting. But this particular day
<v Speaker 1>it was it was mild and it was a good
<v Speaker 1>day to get out. When we went out, there was
<v Speaker 1>lots of birds, there were there was lots of activity
<v Speaker 1>going on in the woods. The woods were alive.
<v Speaker 3>That day.
<v Speaker 1>However, when you got to certain areas in this forest
<v Speaker 1>it's the Bankhead National Forest in northern Alabama. When you
<v Speaker 1>get to certain areas in this forest, it's down rock creepy.
<v Speaker 1>I can't put a finger on exactly what makes it
<v Speaker 1>so creepy, but when you get into certain areas, it's
<v Speaker 1>very very creepy. Particular day, we weren't in a creepy area.
<v Speaker 1>It seemed very lively. You know, lots of birds in
<v Speaker 1>the area. So we're walking around and just scouting out
<v Speaker 1>to see if we could find any kind of signs
<v Speaker 1>of bigfoot, the kind of anecdotal signs that we were
<v Speaker 1>taught by Paul. We were looking for tree breaks, we
<v Speaker 1>were looking for footprints, we were looking for any other
<v Speaker 1>sign that would kind of tell us this would be
<v Speaker 1>a good place to look for Bigfoot. So we came
<v Speaker 1>across this pond in the woods. Now, this pond was
<v Speaker 1>not very big. It was probably twenty yards in diameter.
<v Speaker 1>It was almost a circular pond. So we're looking around
<v Speaker 1>this pond and I'm throwing a little bit of crackers
<v Speaker 1>out into the pond so that you can see the
<v Speaker 1>brim come up and eat the little fishies. And we
<v Speaker 1>walk around this pond, and all of a sudden, I'm
<v Speaker 1>stunned again. From this little hill, this very small hill
<v Speaker 1>that was right next to this pond, here come these footprints.
<v Speaker 1>Now you could see the footprints on the ground up
<v Speaker 1>near the hill, but they were still obscured somewhat by leaves. However,
<v Speaker 1>these footprints came all the way down to the pond,
<v Speaker 1>and they walked around the pond and then back up
<v Speaker 1>another hill and then back off into the woods. Now
<v Speaker 1>these footprints were the absolute largest footprints I had ever seen.
<v Speaker 1>We sat and measured the footprints. They were sixteen inches long.
<v Speaker 1>They were seven inches at the front of the foot wide,
<v Speaker 1>and at the heel of the foot they were about
<v Speaker 1>six inches wide. So whatever made these footprints had to
<v Speaker 1>be absolutely enormous, And not to mention the depth that
<v Speaker 1>the footprints were making. At the time, I was about
<v Speaker 1>two hundred and fifty pounds, and I couldn't make a
<v Speaker 1>I couldn't make a footprint anywhere near what this animal
<v Speaker 1>had made. We started, you know, looking at some of
<v Speaker 1>the footprints a little closer, you could see that there
<v Speaker 1>was mud squished between the toes. You could see that
<v Speaker 1>in a few places there were dermal ridges, and I thought, man,
<v Speaker 1>there's going to be nothing to proven this book foot thing.
<v Speaker 1>It's easy that there's nothing to it. I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>solve it. Going to be a star.
<v Speaker 3>Right.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I didn't know how rare this type of evidence was,
<v Speaker 1>so I got we started, we started our our recording
<v Speaker 1>when we were recording that evidence, and I was sitting
<v Speaker 1>there just describing these footprints made by some creature, and
<v Speaker 1>I thought I had some of the best evidence ever
<v Speaker 1>until I got home and reviewed the tape and I
<v Speaker 1>was like, oh, nobody's going to use this. See this video,
<v Speaker 1>nobody's going to see it. We're not going to use
<v Speaker 1>it in any kind of film.
<v Speaker 3>Right.
<v Speaker 1>I did not know anything about video presence or anything
<v Speaker 1>like that. It was just awful, absolutely awful. But anyway,
<v Speaker 1>these footprints, they were about five and a half feet
<v Speaker 1>apart in stride, and the gate was very unusual from
<v Speaker 1>what I had seen. Usually when I human steps, their
<v Speaker 1>steps are almost not side by side, but they're not
<v Speaker 1>straight in front of each other. They're kind of a
<v Speaker 1>little waggle to them, you know, as you walk, you know,
<v Speaker 1>walk down the beach and turn around and look and
<v Speaker 1>you'll see what I'm talking about. But these footprints happened
<v Speaker 1>to be one right in front of another, almost in
<v Speaker 1>a straight bline, which was the weirdest thing. I tried
<v Speaker 1>to copy it while I was there, and then, you know,
<v Speaker 1>my hips just wouldn't let me walk that way, walk
<v Speaker 1>that way much less, you know, keep that stride. And
<v Speaker 1>you know, I was on cloud nine that day though.
<v Speaker 1>I thought, Wow, you know, first day out, we're not
<v Speaker 1>even an hour into the woods, and we found footprints.
<v Speaker 1>So we did what we thought we documented, We thought
<v Speaker 1>we documented well. However, man there was we were so green.
<v Speaker 1>I don't even want to say how green we actually were,
<v Speaker 1>because there was so much more I could have done. However,
<v Speaker 1>later that same day, about a quarter mile away, we
<v Speaker 1>were in a field and there was this game trail
<v Speaker 1>that came into this field, and I noticed something that
<v Speaker 1>was really strange. At about ten yards into the game trail,
<v Speaker 1>I noticed this structure really looked like a bird's nest,
<v Speaker 1>a giant bird's nest on its side right. So this
<v Speaker 1>structure was so large I could fit into it right,
<v Speaker 1>and it was right on side of the game trail,
<v Speaker 1>and we looked at it from the opposite side and
<v Speaker 1>whenever I got inside, you couldn't see me at all
<v Speaker 1>from the game trail. So we were sitting here thinking,
<v Speaker 1>oh my gosh, this is a hunting blind. Now we
<v Speaker 1>don't know what made it, but it sure was looking
<v Speaker 1>a bit conspicuous at this time. And when we walked
<v Speaker 1>out from the game trail into the field, we noticed
<v Speaker 1>again footprints. When we measure them, they measured to the
<v Speaker 1>exact same dimensions that we had earlier that day, ten
<v Speaker 1>inches long, seven inches wide at the top, six inches
<v Speaker 1>wide at the bottom, but instead of being five and
<v Speaker 1>a half feet apart, they were about eight and a
<v Speaker 1>half to nine feet apart. So we're sitting here thinking, wow,
<v Speaker 1>you know, this thing must have been chasing something or
<v Speaker 1>moving a little bit quicker to have such a stride.
<v Speaker 1>And one of the strangest things I noticed about about
<v Speaker 1>this set of tracks was that they got about three
<v Speaker 1>quarters and halfway to three quarters of the way across
<v Speaker 1>the field and stopped. They just abruptly stopped. Now, the
<v Speaker 1>density of the soul did not change. As a matter
<v Speaker 1>of fact, the density of the soil they have actually
<v Speaker 1>changed just a little bit on the squishier side, so
<v Speaker 1>it didn't get harder at all. If anything, it got
<v Speaker 1>a tabbit squishier because the as uh, the footprints were
<v Speaker 1>going across the field, they were steadily getting a little
<v Speaker 1>bit deeper each time. But the footprints stopping where they
<v Speaker 1>did was just strange to us. I mean, it didn't
<v Speaker 1>seem to there was like no reason for him to stop,
<v Speaker 1>and it was in the middle of a field. There
<v Speaker 1>was nothing for it to jump up into. Even if
<v Speaker 1>we checked all the way in a straight line toward
<v Speaker 1>where the footprints were going, and it didn't make a leap,
<v Speaker 1>you know, so they just stopped, which was really weird.
<v Speaker 1>We again documented some of that, and we moved on
<v Speaker 1>and again, you know, my confidence is growing that I'm
<v Speaker 1>going to solve this mystery lickety split. In six months,
<v Speaker 1>I would have it solved right well anyway, now, again,
<v Speaker 1>that is a fabulous evidence that we came across, and
<v Speaker 1>it's unfortunate that I did not have the camera presence
<v Speaker 1>or the experience to properly document what we had come across.
<v Speaker 1>And to this day, I still keep kicking myself for
<v Speaker 1>not being more prepared. However, it didn't end there. We
<v Speaker 1>went This field was very large and we went way
<v Speaker 1>back into the back of the field. When we got
<v Speaker 1>closer to the to the woodline, the very back of
<v Speaker 1>the field, there were these two bathouses that were a
<v Speaker 1>top four before posts. Now, the bathouses were situated about
<v Speaker 1>ten feet up in the air. There was an opening
<v Speaker 1>down on the bottom where the bats leave the bath
<v Speaker 1>house from the bottom. It's not like a bird house
<v Speaker 1>that has an opening on the side. These bathouses have
<v Speaker 1>the opening from the bottom. So we noticed on one
<v Speaker 1>of these poles that there was some fingerprimts. Now, I
<v Speaker 1>don't know if you if anybody has tried to reach
<v Speaker 1>their hand around a four before, but it's a pretty
<v Speaker 1>daunting task. To be able to do that, you have
<v Speaker 1>to have really large chance. So there was these four
<v Speaker 1>fingerprimts on one side, on one face, and you could
<v Speaker 1>see from like the top knuckles, you could see the
<v Speaker 1>top knuckles from the top knuckles to the tip of
<v Speaker 1>the fingers, you could see that, and it looked like
<v Speaker 1>it was bat guano or blood or something that made
<v Speaker 1>the residue for the fingerprints. However, what made these prints
<v Speaker 1>so unusual was that the thumb print was on the
<v Speaker 1>same face of the pole, So something had reached its
<v Speaker 1>hand all the way around a four by four post,
<v Speaker 1>presumably to steady itself as it reached up into the
<v Speaker 1>bath houses to get the bats. We surmised that they
<v Speaker 1>were eating the bats there, so thought, gosh, what great
<v Speaker 1>evidence right now. We did film this and the handprints
<v Speaker 1>were about seven feet up in the air, so whatever
<v Speaker 1>it was that made them was fairly tall. Well let
<v Speaker 1>me say fairly, let me say extremely tall. And it
<v Speaker 1>was just all inspiring to see these fingerprints. That was
<v Speaker 1>what that was on this flour before posts. Now, one
<v Speaker 1>other thing that was really odd about these fingerprints. If
<v Speaker 1>you take your hand and you curl them up and
<v Speaker 1>you bring your thumb to your fingers, your thumb naturally
<v Speaker 1>goes between your index finger and your middle finger. Well,
<v Speaker 1>where this thumb was was more down toward the pinky
<v Speaker 1>and the ring finger. It more it looked like it
<v Speaker 1>was more natur It looked like it was more naturally
<v Speaker 1>in a different place than what our thumbs would be.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And again, at first, in the first few years, it
<v Speaker 1>really didn't dawn on me that the structure of this hand,
<v Speaker 1>other than being very large, was much different than ours.
<v Speaker 1>So these events it led to us making the legend
<v Speaker 1>of the downy booger The legend of the Downy Booger
<v Speaker 1>was a legend from the eighteen hundreds in Alabama, and
<v Speaker 1>it chronicled the early side of a bigfoot, but back
<v Speaker 1>then they didn't call them bigfoots. They called them wild
<v Speaker 1>men and bookers. The first people that saw this and
<v Speaker 1>reported it were the Downy Cousins. They were coming home
<v Speaker 1>from a dance and they reported this tall, hairy wild
<v Speaker 1>man appeared on the trail in front of them, out
<v Speaker 1>from from the from a tree, and it's it really
<v Speaker 1>disturbed the horses. That scared the horses. They didn't want
<v Speaker 1>to go any further, so they had to find another
<v Speaker 1>way around. The people didn't believe them, and it happened
<v Speaker 1>again later to a moonshiner carrying his payload, and the
<v Speaker 1>moonshiner shot the creature instead of running, and the creature
<v Speaker 1>went into the woods, and he went.
<v Speaker 3>And told the sheriff.
<v Speaker 1>The sheriff gathered a posse together and they all legedly
<v Speaker 1>tracked the creature and up until a cliff, and they
<v Speaker 1>assumed it fell off the cliff to its demise. But
<v Speaker 1>because the cousins were the Downey Cousins, that legend is
<v Speaker 1>now called the Downy Booker, the legend of the Downy Booker,
<v Speaker 1>so that is where it got its name from. And
<v Speaker 1>we were inspired to keep that legend alive. And it
<v Speaker 1>was extremely interesting that we had such a legend from
<v Speaker 1>the eighteen hundreds here in Alabama. So we got our
<v Speaker 1>film crew together and you know, bless our hearts, we
<v Speaker 1>didn't know what we were doing at all. We didn't
<v Speaker 1>know where, you know, how to start the film. We
<v Speaker 1>didn't know how to how to finish the film. We
<v Speaker 1>didn't know when we were finished with a film. So
<v Speaker 1>there were several times we would go out and you know,
<v Speaker 1>nothing happens. You know, you go out big footing, particularly
<v Speaker 1>during the day, and nothing ever happens. However, it got
<v Speaker 1>to a point where we would go out we could
<v Speaker 1>hear something walking with us. When we would walk, it
<v Speaker 1>would walk. When we stopped, it stopped. You know. It
<v Speaker 1>was rather playful, you know, at that time, or at
<v Speaker 1>least that's what we thought. There wasn't any noises made,
<v Speaker 1>There wasn't anything thrown at that particular time until one
<v Speaker 1>day we were coming back and of course this is
<v Speaker 1>still in the daytime and not long after our first outing,
<v Speaker 1>so it was still late February, early March. We were
<v Speaker 1>coming out and we were sitting at our vehicles, and
<v Speaker 1>while we were at our vehicles, we were just talking,
<v Speaker 1>you know, just kind of cutting up, and we were
<v Speaker 1>about to head home for the day, and we still
<v Speaker 1>kept hearing something walk right off in the brush, you know,
<v Speaker 1>just out of sight range, and you know, we thought
<v Speaker 1>it could have been anything, you know, just any kind
<v Speaker 1>of animal. So we didn't think too much of it
<v Speaker 1>until we started getting in our cars. And when we
<v Speaker 1>got in our cars, it was like something through the
<v Speaker 1>biggest log I've ever seen, you know. This log was
<v Speaker 1>probably eight feet long and at least over a foot
<v Speaker 1>in diameter. It was a very large log, and.
<v Speaker 3>It just came.
<v Speaker 1>It was just hurled, not in our direction, but we
<v Speaker 1>got a glimpse of it as it was hurled, and
<v Speaker 1>we were able to go over and look at it,
<v Speaker 1>which was probably pretty not the smartest thing in retrospect,
<v Speaker 1>but we did go over there and look at it.
<v Speaker 1>But this thing, probably the log itself probably weighed several
<v Speaker 1>hundred pounds. I'm like, what in the world could throw
<v Speaker 1>a log, you know, just and it didn't fall from
<v Speaker 1>a tree.
<v Speaker 3>It landed.
<v Speaker 1>Actually, it was a pine log, pine tree log, and
<v Speaker 1>it landed where there was no pine trees in that
<v Speaker 1>immediate vicinity, you know, so it didn't fall straight down,
<v Speaker 1>is what I was trying to get at.
<v Speaker 3>So, I mean, this was just really weird.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, okay, but whatever, I'm still tired.
<v Speaker 3>And I'm going to go home.
<v Speaker 1>And we finally noticed that there was a pattern there
<v Speaker 1>for a while that whenever we started to leave, that
<v Speaker 1>is when action would start, you know, And we figured
<v Speaker 1>that they just didn't.
<v Speaker 3>Want us to leave.
<v Speaker 1>You know, they have a sense of humor, and they're curious.
<v Speaker 1>They you know, they we were just you know, out
<v Speaker 1>there oblivious to what all was going on and just
<v Speaker 1>trying to make a film, and just you know, just
<v Speaker 1>oblivious to the danger we could have been in, I guess.
<v Speaker 1>So fast forward to us expanding our search for Bigfoot.
<v Speaker 1>While we were in Bankhead, we got some of the
<v Speaker 1>anecdotal evidence, but we still didn't get anything on film.
<v Speaker 1>And I was wanting to solve this mystery, right I
<v Speaker 1>was wanting to get something on film. So we go
<v Speaker 1>over to Georgia and we're in a place that's near Carrollton, Georgia.
<v Speaker 1>While we're out in the woods where we meet this.
<v Speaker 1>We meet up with this large group of people who
<v Speaker 1>are having a camp out and it's kind of like
<v Speaker 1>a gathering of Bigfoot friends. So, you know, we were
<v Speaker 1>welcomed into this ascount group and we made lots of friends,
<v Speaker 1>and we were able to secure some interviews for our film,
<v Speaker 1>and I thought that was fantastic. Particularly one of the
<v Speaker 1>interviews that we got, it's absolutely fascinating. It's this guy
<v Speaker 1>who had a Bigfoot encounter when he was a kid
<v Speaker 1>and he was picking blackberries and accidentally reached in and
<v Speaker 1>touched bigfoot for and he actually saw a saw the
<v Speaker 1>bigfoot and it really traumatized him as a kid, and
<v Speaker 1>even to this day, he's not not able to face
<v Speaker 1>going out into the into the woods alone. So I
<v Speaker 1>would say I had a traumatic effect on him. But
<v Speaker 1>it was a fabulous interview and I was really honored
<v Speaker 1>to meet his acquaintance and for him to allow me
<v Speaker 1>to get such a story on film. We also made
<v Speaker 1>other friends who gave us some pointers on arias to
<v Speaker 1>go to to have Bigfoot experiences. Now, while we were there,
<v Speaker 1>we started hearing some stories about things that I thought, frankly,
<v Speaker 1>was just preposterous at the time, I thought, well, Bigfoot
<v Speaker 1>still just some hairy ape, right, and you know, nothing
<v Speaker 1>mysterious at all, and just good at hiding. However, when
<v Speaker 1>I was over in Georgia, I started seeing some.
<v Speaker 3>Things that.
<v Speaker 1>Didn't fit the bill for normality. At first, I thought
<v Speaker 1>it was just me, and I was kind of quiet
<v Speaker 1>about it. I was like, okay, what am I seeing here?
<v Speaker 1>What I was seeing was these balls of light floating
<v Speaker 1>through the woods, and they would settle in about twenty
<v Speaker 1>five thirty yards away from us and just sit there. Now,
<v Speaker 1>these were not lightning bugs. They weren't anything that I
<v Speaker 1>had ever seen before, and quite frankly, I had a
<v Speaker 1>very difficult time coming to terms with it because what
<v Speaker 1>I was seeing was just a ball of light. However,
<v Speaker 1>when I would try to approach the balls of light,
<v Speaker 1>they would do one of two things. They would either
<v Speaker 1>move back, keep the relative distance between us the same,
<v Speaker 1>or they would fade away. I was again perplexed a
<v Speaker 1>my like, how does a ball of light know that
<v Speaker 1>I'm moving toward it? Right? So these things were moving
<v Speaker 1>with intelligence. There were either intelligently controlled or intelligent themselves.
<v Speaker 1>And again it took me probably months to come to
<v Speaker 1>terms with what I was seeing because every time we
<v Speaker 1>would go to this place, we would see these orbs,
<v Speaker 1>and I use the term orb as for lack of
<v Speaker 1>another term. These orbs would be white with a blue
<v Speaker 1>hue for the most part. There were some that were
<v Speaker 1>green and some that were amber, so we did see
<v Speaker 1>different colored orbs. Now, my camera guy he was not
<v Speaker 1>able to see orbs at the same time when I was.
<v Speaker 1>They would be right in front of us, I mean,
<v Speaker 1>bright as a flashlight, and he still couldn't see them.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if it's that he didn't want to
<v Speaker 1>see them, or he didn't want to admit that he
<v Speaker 1>could see him. I don't know. I don't know what
<v Speaker 1>the deal was, but he reported to me that he
<v Speaker 1>couldn't see him. But I thought this was fascinating because
<v Speaker 1>I was seeing something that was not supposed to exist,
<v Speaker 1>and once I come to terms with it, I just
<v Speaker 1>accepted it, and quite frankly, I grew to enjoy watching orbs.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they were fun. There was stellar. However, that
<v Speaker 1>was not the only thing that we encountered that was weird.
<v Speaker 1>One day, as we were more watching, an Indian on
<v Speaker 1>a horse materialized in front of me and one of
<v Speaker 1>my other camera people.
<v Speaker 3>Her name is.
<v Speaker 1>Janice, and it was a full bodied apparition. Now this
<v Speaker 1>was at night and it was very, very foggy. So
<v Speaker 1>we're sitting here watching this and you know, it fully
<v Speaker 1>formed in front of us. This Indian was wearing buckskin pants,
<v Speaker 1>no shirt, and something in its hair sort of maybe
<v Speaker 1>it was a feather, but that's what it resembled. But
<v Speaker 1>the horse all the way across the field, got to
<v Speaker 1>the tree line and disappeared. Now there was a full
<v Speaker 1>moon full moon that night, so you know, you didn't
<v Speaker 1>need a flashlight or anything to be able to see.
<v Speaker 1>You could. You could see very well at night. So
<v Speaker 1>I looked over at Janice and I said, did you
<v Speaker 1>see And she finished the sentence for me, she said,
<v Speaker 1>what an Indian on a horse? Yeah. So that was
<v Speaker 1>my first experience with a ghost, and quite frankly, I
<v Speaker 1>didn't believe in ghosts until I saw one. So that
<v Speaker 1>was again you chalk that up over into the the
<v Speaker 1>strange category. Some of the other strange that we started
<v Speaker 1>to experience. One day, again, we were at the same place.
<v Speaker 3>In Georgia.
<v Speaker 1>And I had gone to the bathrooms and the bathhouses.
<v Speaker 1>I was there taking a shower, However, Janice was back
<v Speaker 1>at camp and she was getting things out of her truck,
<v Speaker 1>getting her campsite ready, and she heard, hey Janice in
<v Speaker 1>my voice. But she said it came from up under
<v Speaker 1>the truck, up under her truck. And at first she
<v Speaker 1>just kind of just, you know, laughed it off, like
<v Speaker 1>I was playing a prank on her, you know. And
<v Speaker 1>then she said, as she was standing right beside her truck,
<v Speaker 1>something grabbed her ankle from up under the from up
<v Speaker 1>under the truck, and it kind of spooped her a
<v Speaker 1>little bit, and she kind of she got a little
<v Speaker 1>bit perturbed and was was cussing at me a little bit,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and I'm when I when I'm coming back,
<v Speaker 1>you know, she was a little perturbed that. She says,
<v Speaker 1>you know, why was I treucking, you know, trying to
<v Speaker 1>prank her like that? And I'm like, Janice, I don't
<v Speaker 1>know what you're talking about. I said, I was at
<v Speaker 1>the bath house, and she was like, uh huh, I was.
<v Speaker 1>You know, when we went on back and forth about
<v Speaker 1>this for quite some time, I was like, Janice, look,
<v Speaker 1>I got a towel, it's wet. I was at the
<v Speaker 1>bath house. So finally I did convince her that it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't me. However, I really didn't know whether or not
<v Speaker 1>to believe her. Right, So, later on during that night,
<v Speaker 1>I got up to go to the bathroom again, and
<v Speaker 1>as soon as I unzipped my tent. Now this was
<v Speaker 1>probably about two o'clock in the morning, So as soon
<v Speaker 1>as I unzipped my tent, guess what I heard. I heard, Hey,
<v Speaker 1>Janice in my voice and I was like, oh, you know,
<v Speaker 1>I just made like a you know, an exclamation sound.
<v Speaker 1>And uh, my buddy Brent, who was the other the
<v Speaker 1>other camera guy, he was just happened to be up
<v Speaker 1>and he said I heard that, and I was like,
<v Speaker 1>she was right, and.
<v Speaker 3>He said that wasn't you.
<v Speaker 1>And I was like, no, that was not me.
<v Speaker 3>So we were like, oh my god.
<v Speaker 1>You know, so that was something that was extremely weird
<v Speaker 1>for both both of us, you know, hearing these disembodied
<v Speaker 1>voices or mimics or whatever it was. I still to
<v Speaker 1>this day don't know what it was. And that was
<v Speaker 1>not the last time that it happened. I mean, that
<v Speaker 1>phenomenon has been happening for quite some time. So I
<v Speaker 1>still don't know what it is, but it's very strange
<v Speaker 1>now we were getting very close to ending the film,
<v Speaker 1>and I was getting very tired of, you know, in
<v Speaker 1>this first film, and the year is now probably twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 1>late twenty sixteen, early twenty seventeen, and we decided to
<v Speaker 1>go back out for one more night investigation. And we
<v Speaker 1>had been using night vision to try to capture some
<v Speaker 1>sort of image of Bigfoot. And we had used various
<v Speaker 1>forms of night vision. We had used trail calms, we
<v Speaker 1>had used handicams and anything else that could virtually see
<v Speaker 1>in the dark. We had no luck, no luck at all,
<v Speaker 1>and I was getting frustrated and I was like, there's
<v Speaker 1>all this evidence all around us, and we can't get
<v Speaker 1>anything on film. I want something on film. I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to be one of these other filmmakers who just
<v Speaker 1>presents bumping the night evidence and people going what was that,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and then they never show anything. So I
<v Speaker 1>proposed to our group, said, hey, you know, let's go
<v Speaker 1>rent a really high end camera that has a real
<v Speaker 1>high ISO and these cameras can virtually see in the dark.
<v Speaker 1>It was a camera that had I think it was
<v Speaker 1>four hundred and sixty thousand ISO, very high ISO. So
<v Speaker 1>on another night we went again back to Georgia where
<v Speaker 1>we had been seeing all these orbs, and right on
<v Speaker 1>Q one of these orbs comes out and it was
<v Speaker 1>a blue white or a white orb with a blue hue.
<v Speaker 1>And really, as soon as we had gotten out into
<v Speaker 1>the woods and kind of settled in, it appeared and
<v Speaker 1>we're like, hey, you know, there it is, and it
<v Speaker 1>probably maneuvered within forty fifty yards from us. And this
<v Speaker 1>was kind of sitting there, was kind of far away
<v Speaker 1>for an.
<v Speaker 3>ORB, so.
<v Speaker 1>That was a little bit odd. So all night we
<v Speaker 1>had activity. And one of the things that was so
<v Speaker 1>frustrating about that night was I was using a thermal
<v Speaker 1>camera and almost all of my thermal footage it was corrupted.
<v Speaker 1>I had what I thought was fantastic footage of something
<v Speaker 1>kind of slinking down the hill, coming toward our position,
<v Speaker 1>and it got to a log and pushed up on
<v Speaker 1>the log, and then it just disappeared from thermal, just
<v Speaker 1>vanished right before our eyes. And we're like, and I
<v Speaker 1>was recording at the time, I'm like, yes, I got something, right, Yes,
<v Speaker 1>I've got something. But little did I know in post
<v Speaker 1>production that particular segment was corrupted and I got nothing.
<v Speaker 1>But that was not the first time that happened to us.
<v Speaker 1>All along we had been we'd been having issues with
<v Speaker 1>battery drainage on cameras and file corruption and just all
<v Speaker 1>sorts of equipment malfunctioning at the opportune times. Right, So,
<v Speaker 1>even though I was used to these kind of problems,
<v Speaker 1>it was still really frustrating to know that it happened
<v Speaker 1>right then. Right Well, anyway, at the time, I was like, yes,
<v Speaker 1>we still got we got thermal footage, and now we're
<v Speaker 1>going to get this ORB footage. So we're filming these orbs,
<v Speaker 1>and uh, there's other things going on around us that's
<v Speaker 1>these anomalous sounds. However, there's a there's a storm approaching us,
<v Speaker 1>and the winds really picked up and it became very
<v Speaker 1>difficult to distinguish one sound from another because the wind
<v Speaker 1>was just really chaotic. And with the storm coming in,
<v Speaker 1>I just made the decision, Hey, let's knock off early
<v Speaker 1>and go home. We've got video footage of an ORB
<v Speaker 1>and I thought we had video footage, a thermal footage
<v Speaker 1>of something that was kind of slinking down the hill. Well, again,
<v Speaker 1>during post production, we're getting putting the film together. A
<v Speaker 1>few weeks later, goes by and I get a call
<v Speaker 1>from from Brent. He's also my editor. Brent calls me
<v Speaker 1>up and he says, hey, hey, hey, we got something.
<v Speaker 1>We got something. I'm like, yeah, you know, we got
<v Speaker 1>orbs and got the thing on thermal. He says, no,
<v Speaker 1>we explained to me about the thing on thermal, and
<v Speaker 1>I was extremely disappointed. I'm like, well, what's the good news?
<v Speaker 3>He said, I can't explain it to you.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to have to show it to you. So
<v Speaker 1>we got together and we started looking over the evidence
<v Speaker 1>and there was one particular time now that the camp
<v Speaker 1>let me explain a little bit. The camera that we
<v Speaker 1>were using was passive. It did not emit any kind
<v Speaker 1>of light whatsoever. So it did not emit ir nor
<v Speaker 1>any other nor white light or anything else. We were
<v Speaker 1>just trying to use trying to mimic old school cameras
<v Speaker 1>as much as possible in a modern way. So as
<v Speaker 1>soon as we turned the cameras on, we'd hit the
<v Speaker 1>record buttons, and you know, the cameras would start recording
<v Speaker 1>almost instantaneously as they were turned on. So there was
<v Speaker 1>one particular time we were getting footage of this ORB
<v Speaker 1>and we catch something crawling between us and this orb. Now,
<v Speaker 1>let me explain this crawler to you. If anybody has
<v Speaker 1>ever seen a drawing or a rendering of a supposed
<v Speaker 1>bigfoot crawling despite doing the spider crawl, I would say
<v Speaker 1>that this is what this thing was doing. It was
<v Speaker 1>doing the spider crawl. In the footage, you can see
<v Speaker 1>where the head is, you can see the shoulders, the
<v Speaker 1>shoulders or or bright white. The color the coloring of
<v Speaker 1>this is in is in shades of red purple. But
<v Speaker 1>it's not in color, you know, so to speak, because
<v Speaker 1>it's at night and the cameras is only gathering what
<v Speaker 1>light it can now, and I'm very surprised it caught
<v Speaker 1>this at all. So the camera it sees something between
<v Speaker 1>us and this order and it's crawling and you can
<v Speaker 1>see its arms and you can see legs, and it's
<v Speaker 1>absolutely enormous. I would venture to say that it's probably
<v Speaker 1>three and a half to four feet across, like from
<v Speaker 1>shoulder from shoulder to shoulder. Of course, it's very difficult
<v Speaker 1>to get a height estimate because it was crawling, but
<v Speaker 1>it was at least three and a half to four
<v Speaker 1>feet across, and it was like it got caught on
<v Speaker 1>camera and it didn't know what to do. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it's like, have you ever seen a squirrel that's out
<v Speaker 1>on the road and a car's coming and it gets
<v Speaker 1>panicked and it doesn't know which way to go, and
<v Speaker 1>you know, it's going back and forth, back and forth. Well,
<v Speaker 1>that's what this thing is doing. It's like it's paniced,
<v Speaker 1>it's going back and forth, back and forth, and the
<v Speaker 1>camera is trying to focus in on it. Well, to
<v Speaker 1>our surprise, the ORB in the background starts to go berserk.
<v Speaker 1>It gets brighter and dimmer, brighter and dimmer, and just
<v Speaker 1>absolutely just shows out. And the camera gives up focus
<v Speaker 1>on the crawler and focuses in on the ORB because
<v Speaker 1>it's in auto focus. And eventually the crawler does make
<v Speaker 1>its way off off screen, and you know, we don't
<v Speaker 1>see it again. But this was a moment of elation
<v Speaker 1>for us because we actually caught something on camera. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it was not so clear of an image that you
<v Speaker 1>can say, oh, yep, that's the Bigfoot. However, you know,
<v Speaker 1>these images that we're looking at is as good as
<v Speaker 1>any flear image. So but what makes this so unique
<v Speaker 1>was that not only did we have images of an
<v Speaker 1>ORB on film, we got this thing crawling all in
<v Speaker 1>the same frame. I was absolutely elated, and we got
<v Speaker 1>that film together and we put it out and it's
<v Speaker 1>received some very very good responses, you know, particular really
<v Speaker 1>you know, we didn't exactly know what we were doing
<v Speaker 1>when when we made the film, but we learned along
<v Speaker 1>the way, and it was it was a huge learning curve.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, now I'm you know, very uh seasoned filmmaker. Now,
<v Speaker 1>so during the the editing process we had we had
<v Speaker 1>another discussion about all the strange things that occurred while
<v Speaker 1>we were out investigating. And some of the stuff, frankly,
<v Speaker 1>was just out there, you know, the disembodied voices, missing
<v Speaker 1>time and uh, the camera malfunctions, you know, all of
<v Speaker 1>that just seems too convenient, and we didn't have direct
<v Speaker 1>evidence of it, right, so I thought that it was
<v Speaker 1>more just a story and nobody would really believe something
<v Speaker 1>that was so outlandish, So I chose not to talk
<v Speaker 1>about it or put anything in the film about that
<v Speaker 1>weird stuff that was happening, except for some of the
<v Speaker 1>camera malfunctions. Now, after the release of the Legend of
<v Speaker 1>the Downy Boarder, it was still eating at me about
<v Speaker 1>what some of this strange stuff was so I started
<v Speaker 1>checking around to see if other people had experienced some
<v Speaker 1>of the same things that we did, and sure enough,
<v Speaker 1>I found this author's name is Trey Hudson, and he
<v Speaker 1>wrote a book called The Metal Project, and I read
<v Speaker 1>the book and it had some of the same.
<v Speaker 3>Weird stuff that we had experienced.
<v Speaker 1>So I called him up and see if he would
<v Speaker 1>be interested in participating in another film with me. He agreed,
<v Speaker 1>and we went out to experience some of the weird
<v Speaker 1>stuff that's at the Meadow. During the making of that film,
<v Speaker 1>we had learned about the land between the lakes and
<v Speaker 1>how odd an active that area is. So moving on
<v Speaker 1>from the Meadow now that there's some strange things that
<v Speaker 1>we saw at the Meadow, and I hate to kind
<v Speaker 1>of gloss over them, but if I spend, you know,
<v Speaker 1>too much detailed time in everything, then this episode would
<v Speaker 1>be days long. But some of the things that we
<v Speaker 1>experienced at the Meadow was again orbs. We saw ORBS.
<v Speaker 1>I saw shadow people for the first time, and that
<v Speaker 1>was really disturbing seeing shadow people because you know, again
<v Speaker 1>it's something that you don't if you've never seen one,
<v Speaker 1>and you don't know that they're supposed to exist it's
<v Speaker 1>really it's another paradigm shift for you because you're seeing
<v Speaker 1>something that's not supposed to exist, and that's what it
<v Speaker 1>was for us. As a matter of fact, Brent saw
<v Speaker 1>one and it spooked him out so bad he refuses
<v Speaker 1>to go back to the meadow. He absolutely positively will
<v Speaker 1>not go back there. And we've seen some strange stuff,
<v Speaker 1>so that's saying a lot. However, moving to the land
<v Speaker 1>between the Lakes, I contacted a few people who had
<v Speaker 1>some of the best sightings there and one of them
<v Speaker 1>was Martin Groves. So I got in touch with Martin
<v Speaker 1>Groves and Adam Davies Davids, he's the Adam Davis. For
<v Speaker 1>those don't know who Adam is, I would classify him
<v Speaker 1>as a world explorer, an adventure He's been on shows
<v Speaker 1>like Monster Quest and a host of other shows like
<v Speaker 1>Expedition Unknown with with Josh Gates, and he went to
<v Speaker 1>Nepal for the Search for Uh for the Yetti, and
<v Speaker 1>he's been to Locke Nest and on the on the
<v Speaker 1>Search for for Nassy, and he's been on a number
<v Speaker 1>of shows.
<v Speaker 2>And I was.
<v Speaker 1>Privileged enough to meet him at a conference and we
<v Speaker 1>headed off real well and asked if he wanted to
<v Speaker 1>be in in the film with me, and we're going
<v Speaker 1>to the lamb between the lakes and he said sure.
<v Speaker 1>So we're we're there the lamb between the lakes and
<v Speaker 1>he's talking to Martin. He says to Martin, Martin Groves.
<v Speaker 1>He says, Martin, can you put us on a place
<v Speaker 1>where we were sure to have some to have some activity.
<v Speaker 1>And Martin knew just the place. So again, I'm making
<v Speaker 1>a film, you know, making a second film here. So
<v Speaker 1>I've got a lot of gear in my truck. And
<v Speaker 1>when you go out big footing, if you're doing it
<v Speaker 1>for pleasure is one thing, but if you're doing it
<v Speaker 1>for a film, it takes a long time just to
<v Speaker 1>set things up because there's cameras to get ready, there's
<v Speaker 1>microphones to wire up, and you know, there's a whole
<v Speaker 1>plathora of equipment that you have to get ready in
<v Speaker 1>order to make a decent film. So Martin tells us
<v Speaker 1>about a place that is in the middle of the
<v Speaker 1>land between the lakes, and we're driving there and it
<v Speaker 1>literally takes us about about an hour to get there
<v Speaker 1>at night. And you know, this is in March of
<v Speaker 1>twenty twenty four, so it's actually cold there. It's very
<v Speaker 1>cold at night. In this particular week, it was probably
<v Speaker 1>in the twenties. So we go there, and after riding
<v Speaker 1>about an hour, we come to this graveyard and we
<v Speaker 1>pull over and stop and I go back to the
<v Speaker 1>back of my truck and it's a Chevy Silverado and
<v Speaker 1>the top of the cab is about six foot from
<v Speaker 1>the top of the cab down to the ground. And
<v Speaker 1>that'll be important here in just a minute. So I'm
<v Speaker 1>in the back of the truck getting a camera gear
<v Speaker 1>ready and equipment ready, and to hear this growl. I
<v Speaker 1>can't really exactly reproduce the ground.
<v Speaker 3>It's a.
<v Speaker 1>Sound, So I thought to myself, Okay, that's interesting, and
<v Speaker 1>I just kept on doing what I was doing, you know,
<v Speaker 1>because I've already heard and seeing a lot of weird
<v Speaker 1>stuff at this time. So as I'm getting ready, the
<v Speaker 1>thing growls again, and I'm like, hey, did you guys
<v Speaker 1>hear that? And about the time that I said that,
<v Speaker 1>it growled again, and apparently it's out my camera guy,
<v Speaker 1>Brent or Brent, and he goes into terror mode. He's like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, they're here. They're here.
<v Speaker 3>We got to get out of here.
<v Speaker 1>We got to get out of here. So he's like
<v Speaker 1>running back and forth, just panicking, being in a complete terror.
<v Speaker 1>He's having a terror attack. So I grab him by
<v Speaker 1>the back of the coat and I said, Brent, we're okay.
<v Speaker 3>He says, no, we're not.
<v Speaker 1>No, we're not. I'm not okay, you know what. And
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, this is one we're here, buddy, and he's like, no,
<v Speaker 1>we got to get out of here. And I've growl,
<v Speaker 1>you know, knowing that this is something that needs to bearded,
<v Speaker 1>you know, as he's panicking. You know, this thing is
<v Speaker 1>still growling. It actually wrapped up, it's growling in between
<v Speaker 1>his his you know, his panicking. But in his defense,
<v Speaker 1>I will say this about the grounds, you could feel
<v Speaker 1>them on the inside of you. Every time it growled,
<v Speaker 1>your whole internal organs just vibrated, and it gives you
<v Speaker 1>a sense of just panic terror. So that is very real.
<v Speaker 1>Whatever it was, whatever happened. And now I don't think
<v Speaker 1>I got hit as badly as Brent dead, but he
<v Speaker 1>sure did get hit. So I've gotten him by the
<v Speaker 1>back of the by the back of the coat, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm reaching and grabbed the camera and I successfully start
<v Speaker 1>up the camera and you can hear the wine of it,
<v Speaker 1>the stee you know, the camera just winds up, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and happened to look up and standing I'm at the
<v Speaker 1>back right corner of my truck, standing at the driver's
<v Speaker 1>side the left front of my truck is a big foot.
<v Speaker 1>I can see from its lower part of its chest up.
<v Speaker 1>I can only see the silhouette of it. I can't
<v Speaker 1>make out its face because it's in the It's pitch black.
<v Speaker 1>It's in the middle of the night, and I'm stunned.
<v Speaker 1>I'm sitting there looking at it, is like, oh crap,
<v Speaker 1>it's right there. And it seemed like it was forever
<v Speaker 1>I'm sitting here looking at this thing. In reality, it
<v Speaker 1>was probably one to two seconds before I got my
<v Speaker 1>faculties back about me.
<v Speaker 3>And I successfully hit the record button, and I look.
<v Speaker 1>Down to make sure that I'm in a night vision mode,
<v Speaker 1>and I have to click it again to make sure
<v Speaker 1>I'm in night vision mode. And the only way I
<v Speaker 1>can really tell is by the display. So I look
<v Speaker 1>into the display and it turns black and white. But
<v Speaker 1>that happened to be one of the biggest mistakes you
<v Speaker 1>can do at night, because if you're out at night
<v Speaker 1>and you're looking to a bright light and you try
<v Speaker 1>to look back up, your night vision is killed.
<v Speaker 3>It's just gone.
<v Speaker 1>So I realized the mistake that I did, and then
<v Speaker 1>I realized that the only thing I can do is
<v Speaker 1>try to document looking through the display screen. And at
<v Speaker 1>the time I didn't think that I got anything on
<v Speaker 1>video while they're at the truck. However, when we went
<v Speaker 1>back and looked in post production, you can actually did
<v Speaker 1>capture its eyes. Now, it's a short range night vision
<v Speaker 1>camera meant for filming your subjects, and it was not
<v Speaker 1>a long vision or long range night vision camera. That
<v Speaker 1>we did have those, but I unfortunately did not pick
<v Speaker 1>that up. I just got the first thing I could grab. Now,
<v Speaker 1>Adam Davis says to me, he says, hey, puts the
<v Speaker 1>camera over here on Brent.
<v Speaker 3>So train the camera over on Brent.
<v Speaker 1>And he was able to pick up the other one,
<v Speaker 1>the other night vision camera, not the long range one,
<v Speaker 1>but the other, uh, the other one meant for subject
<v Speaker 1>for some filming subjects.
<v Speaker 3>But he can't hold the camera.
<v Speaker 1>Study he's still shaking in fear, and we document, you know,
<v Speaker 1>how he's shaking in fear, and you know, and again
<v Speaker 1>this this bigfoot just keeps growling at us. Now, there
<v Speaker 1>were four of us in this immediate area. There were
<v Speaker 1>other people that were in a different area, in a
<v Speaker 1>different area of the cemetery than us. Unbeknownst to us,
<v Speaker 1>they were having their own experience. But us four, you know,
<v Speaker 1>we were good sized guys, and this bigfoot was not
<v Speaker 1>intimidated by us whatsoever. Now, Adam was in the British military.
<v Speaker 1>While he was in the British military, it was his
<v Speaker 1>job to hunt down war criminals and warlords. So he's
<v Speaker 1>been in firefights and you know, just very precarious situations,
<v Speaker 1>you know, at various times in his life. But he
<v Speaker 1>has said that he has never been in a situation
<v Speaker 1>like that. And he genuinely thought that we were not
<v Speaker 1>going to be going.
<v Speaker 3>Home that day.
<v Speaker 1>So his military training kicks in. He wanted us to
<v Speaker 1>kind of group together and not be too spread out, right,
<v Speaker 1>So he wanted us to group together and push this
<v Speaker 1>bigfoot back deeper into the woods. So we get together
<v Speaker 1>in a small group and Brent gets his faculties about
<v Speaker 1>him and he starts filming, and I'm filming, and every
<v Speaker 1>time we take a step forward towards where this bigfoot
<v Speaker 1>is or where we think it is. It growls and
<v Speaker 1>it's like a war, you know. We take a step
<v Speaker 1>forward at grouse kind of, we pull back a little
<v Speaker 1>bit and then go forward a little bit more, and
<v Speaker 1>it starts growling. And this goes on for like twenty
<v Speaker 1>minutes or so, and about twenty minutes into it, something
<v Speaker 1>starts throwing rocks the from another direction from my left.
<v Speaker 1>Now this thing is still in front of us, and
<v Speaker 1>as something is throwing rocks from our left, our security
<v Speaker 1>guy who's former law enforcement, you know, really big guy
<v Speaker 1>and has been in a lot of hairy situations. He
<v Speaker 1>also bigfoot hunts and has been doing it for quite
<v Speaker 1>some time. But he said this was the first time
<v Speaker 1>he had ever drawn his weapon. He had his weapon
<v Speaker 1>drawn and he was ready for whatever might happen, you know.
<v Speaker 1>But from what I saw the bigfoot, I don't think
<v Speaker 1>whatever kind of weapon that we had would it would
<v Speaker 1>have done any good at all. So anyway, as there's
<v Speaker 1>something throwing from the throwing some rocks or something from
<v Speaker 1>from the left and the bigfoot that's that we had
<v Speaker 1>moved successfully back into the woods, his eyes start glowing
<v Speaker 1>and we catch it on camera, you know, Uh. And
<v Speaker 1>it's not ice shine. A lot of people say it's
<v Speaker 1>I shine, and sometimes I I say eye shine as well,
<v Speaker 1>but this is a true glow. You could see them
<v Speaker 1>with your with your naked eye, without any kind of
<v Speaker 1>light or anything.
<v Speaker 3>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>And they were red or a red tone more maybe
<v Speaker 1>more amber, but still in the red family.
<v Speaker 3>So this thing, it's.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what its intentions were. However, Adam immediately
<v Speaker 1>once he found out that there was another one who
<v Speaker 1>are off to our left, he immediately knew what this
<v Speaker 1>tactic was. He said, they were flanking us, and he
<v Speaker 1>got really concerned at that time because these things were
<v Speaker 1>acting with extreme intelligence. It took planning to do that.
<v Speaker 1>And not only did it take planning, I mean it
<v Speaker 1>would have taken some sort of communication between them to
<v Speaker 1>be able to do that. So that really confirms to
<v Speaker 1>me that, you know, they do have a language, they
<v Speaker 1>do talk to each other. Right on qu Right after,
<v Speaker 1>you know, things kind of quieted down a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>We got a few post interviews out of the cameras,
<v Speaker 1>and then the batteries died. You know, it's right on queue.
<v Speaker 3>It's very par for the course, so to speak.
<v Speaker 1>So there's nothing really else that we can do that night,
<v Speaker 1>because our cameras that were supposed to have lasted all
<v Speaker 1>night only lasted about twenty five minutes. So you know,
<v Speaker 1>we're just kind of putting up gear. You know, we
<v Speaker 1>didn't know what else we could do. So as everybody
<v Speaker 1>else is putting up gear, I go out up in
<v Speaker 1>front of the truck with my flashlight, thinking I could
<v Speaker 1>maybe find some tracks. And the road was added a
<v Speaker 1>lot of gravel on it and it didn't leave any tracks.
<v Speaker 1>So I thought to myself, as like, I wonder if
<v Speaker 1>it's still still around. So I let out this big growl,
<v Speaker 1>this roar ras really really loud, right, and immediately I
<v Speaker 1>got a response. He goes boom, boom, boom. It stomps, and.
<v Speaker 3>You could hear that.
<v Speaker 1>I mean you could tell that it was a stomp
<v Speaker 1>because you could hear like that, the the the underbrush
<v Speaker 1>just kind of cracking along with it. But it was
<v Speaker 1>really loud. And Brent was walking up as that was happening,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, he heard me yell out to the
<v Speaker 1>the growl, and he looked over me and says, hey, man,
<v Speaker 1>it responded to you, And I'm like, yeah, I want
<v Speaker 1>to do it again.
<v Speaker 3>So uh.
<v Speaker 1>Again, let out this big growl and lo and behold
<v Speaker 1>it responds again boom boom boom. But this time instead
<v Speaker 1>of being you know, thirty forty yards off into the woods,
<v Speaker 1>it's right at the edge of the trail, it's maybe
<v Speaker 1>five yards in the woods. Brent looks over at me
<v Speaker 1>and he says, stop doing that. And I'm like, from
<v Speaker 1>what's I agree with you, Brent, because we weren't armed,
<v Speaker 1>and I didn't know what I was saying to it,
<v Speaker 1>but I was going to quit it immediately. So we
<v Speaker 1>went back and finished up putting up gear and got
<v Speaker 1>in our trucks and pulled out of there. Later during
<v Speaker 1>that during that investigation, we went to a place where
<v Speaker 1>Orbes just absolutely showed out for us. They were just
<v Speaker 1>absolutely incredible. We were able to film them, and we
<v Speaker 1>filmed them in color, and I couldn't have been happier
<v Speaker 1>about that whole weekend to the Lamb between the Lakes.
<v Speaker 1>It was such an exciting weekend where it's really more
<v Speaker 1>of than ken is, more of a week But anyway,
<v Speaker 1>that finished up our second film, and it's called Cryptic Expeditions.
<v Speaker 1>The Land between the Lakes. Now it's chopped full of
<v Speaker 1>evidence more than just that one encounter. So it's a
<v Speaker 1>fantastic film. The light years better than our first one,
<v Speaker 1>even though our first one is no slouch. It's pretty good.
<v Speaker 1>But it seems like the more we do this, the
<v Speaker 1>better we get at it. So it's called The Land
<v Speaker 1>Between the Lakes and you can see it on Relicfilmsmedia
<v Speaker 1>dot com or Channel twelve network. It's streaming there and
<v Speaker 1>it'll soon be streaming on other places as well. But
<v Speaker 1>it was only recently released in January of.
<v Speaker 3>Twenty five.
<v Speaker 1>With the completion of that film, that really excited me
<v Speaker 1>about filming it for another film, but I wanted to
<v Speaker 1>change directions a little bit. I got again, I got
<v Speaker 1>together again with Adam Davies and he suggested that we
<v Speaker 1>concentrate on missing people in the National Forest, and I'm like, wow,
<v Speaker 1>you know that that would be a really good project.
<v Speaker 1>So in good fashion, we picked a couple of people
<v Speaker 1>that that went missing and has been a true mystery,
<v Speaker 1>you know, ever since they're missing and their cases have
<v Speaker 1>not been solved yet. So we picked on those two cases,
<v Speaker 1>not taking anything away from anybody else that's gone missing.
<v Speaker 1>But you know, you have limited time in a film,
<v Speaker 1>so you have to choose something, so we chose Mike
<v Speaker 1>Kroon and Dennis Martin. Those two people went missing in
<v Speaker 1>the near the CAD's Cove area of Tennessee and near Townsend, Tennessee.
<v Speaker 1>We have lots of theories about what happened, but in
<v Speaker 1>true fashion as a bigfoot or you know, one of
<v Speaker 1>the theories is going to be that they were taken
<v Speaker 1>by a bigfoot. So I went to a place called
<v Speaker 1>in a place called lj in Georgia. There I met
<v Speaker 1>these people that have a business called squatch Fishing, and
<v Speaker 1>what they do is they take you out fishing. During
<v Speaker 1>the daytime, they teach you how to fly fish, and
<v Speaker 1>at night they'll take you out squatching. That sounded fabulous
<v Speaker 1>to me. So since it's in the relative area of
<v Speaker 1>Townsend and where these other people went went missing, I figured, hey,
<v Speaker 1>you know, are there any bigfoots in this area? So
<v Speaker 1>we were there and he took us out investigating, and
<v Speaker 1>sure enough we found footprints and again experienced orbs. That
<v Speaker 1>seems to be a common theme. But during the making
<v Speaker 1>of the Land between the Lakes, my camera guy, Brent,
<v Speaker 1>he had he had had enough, he had seen enough,
<v Speaker 1>and he wanted to bow out of this film, so
<v Speaker 1>I had to give me another camera guy. So we're
<v Speaker 1>in a truck and with the owner of Squatch Fishing
<v Speaker 1>and my new camera guy. He's sitting in the back
<v Speaker 1>of the truck and Scott and I are Scott is
<v Speaker 1>the owner of Scott Grangers, the owner of the Squatch Fishing.
<v Speaker 1>So he and I are sitting up there talking and
<v Speaker 1>we're going to a place to investigate in North Georgia.
<v Speaker 1>And it's not real late at night. It's probably nine
<v Speaker 1>o'clock in October, so it's completely dark, but it's not
<v Speaker 1>really really late. But we're sitting there talking, okay, and
<v Speaker 1>something comes out into the road in front of us. Now,
<v Speaker 1>at first I thought it was a bear. I'll be honest,
<v Speaker 1>I thought it was a bear at first. But it
<v Speaker 1>was the biggest darn bear that would have ever existed.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's again. This was probably about four feet
<v Speaker 1>wide from what I was seeing. It was on all
<v Speaker 1>fours and was crawling away from us. Now, the coloring
<v Speaker 1>of this thing was a dull black. It's almost as
<v Speaker 1>if the hair was absorbing light. It was not shiny,
<v Speaker 1>it was not It was very dull, and it is
<v Speaker 1>very different to look at now.
<v Speaker 3>It was within.
<v Speaker 1>Headlight, so it wasn't very far away from us. It's
<v Speaker 1>in headlight range. It crawled quickly, crawled across the road,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm sitting here thinking why would it be on
<v Speaker 1>all fours until it dawned on me that the grade
<v Speaker 1>of the hill on both sides of the road was
<v Speaker 1>about seventy degrees. It was darn year straight up. So
<v Speaker 1>when that thing got across the road, it actually went
<v Speaker 1>up the road a little bit for about maybe ten
<v Speaker 1>fifteen yards and then got to the other side of
<v Speaker 1>the road and then went up the embankment and was gone.
<v Speaker 1>And so of course we immediately stopped. We were only
<v Speaker 1>seconds behind it. We stopped, jumped out.
<v Speaker 3>Of the truck.
<v Speaker 1>We we fired up our camera gear and our fleers
<v Speaker 1>and everything else. But by the time, by the time
<v Speaker 1>they even started up, this thing was gone. It was
<v Speaker 1>the fastest thing I have ever seen, very unnaturally fast.
<v Speaker 1>So we started to concentrate on the evidence. We started
<v Speaker 1>looking around, and uh, we found where it crawled up
<v Speaker 1>the hill, and we figured, if it was a bear,
<v Speaker 1>you're going to see claw marks in the in the dirt. Well,
<v Speaker 1>instead of finding claw marks, we found what could be
<v Speaker 1>characterized as like finger marks. Imagine closing your hand, you know,
<v Speaker 1>extending your hand out and closing your fingers at your
<v Speaker 1>first first knuckles from your hand. I think that's actually
<v Speaker 1>what they crawl on. I don't think they crawl on
<v Speaker 1>like the palms in their hand. I think they crawl
<v Speaker 1>more on essentially their fingers in their in their palm.
<v Speaker 1>Uh So, when this thing went up the hill, it
<v Speaker 1>looked like one finger had maybe arthritis or something, as
<v Speaker 1>it dug a little bit deeper into the embankment than
<v Speaker 1>these other ones. The other ones was almost flat with
<v Speaker 1>the embankment, so they didn't leave any kind of claw
<v Speaker 1>marks or anything. It's just almost like a finger mark.
<v Speaker 1>Like the middle finger couldn't close up all the way,
<v Speaker 1>so it really looked like it had arthritis, you know.
<v Speaker 1>That That's the way I would describe it. And but
<v Speaker 1>it was consistent going all the way up, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it consistently could not close that that that one finger
<v Speaker 1>with the rest of them. However, we did find tracks
<v Speaker 1>it did leave when it started to go up at
<v Speaker 1>some point. It when it when it first went up
<v Speaker 1>the hill, it contorted its body in really a really
<v Speaker 1>weird way, and you knew instantly that it was no
<v Speaker 1>bear at that point. It's and it's very difficult to describe.
<v Speaker 1>It would have been much better shown to to to
<v Speaker 1>than then explained. And I looked over at my camera
<v Speaker 1>guy and I said, please tell me you got that
<v Speaker 1>on film, as normally we would be during any type
<v Speaker 1>of transit in the woods from one place to the next. Well,
<v Speaker 1>I can blame this on me. I forgot to tell
<v Speaker 1>the new camera guy Jim to record during that session.
<v Speaker 1>So again, you know, I take full responsibility for the
<v Speaker 1>cameras not going. But it was surely an opportunity missed,
<v Speaker 1>and it was a very good clear view of a bigfoot,
<v Speaker 1>particularly once it started going up the embankment on the
<v Speaker 1>other side. Now I never did get a look at
<v Speaker 1>its face. It didn't it didn't turn and look at us. However,
<v Speaker 1>you could see its body clearly, and it just everything
<v Speaker 1>was blacker than black. But again, it was a very
<v Speaker 1>dull black, not shiny like you would see on a bear.
<v Speaker 1>Bear's coats are somewhat shiny, but you know, like I say,
<v Speaker 1>this almost seemed.
<v Speaker 3>It absorbed light. That particular sighting.
<v Speaker 1>Just I was really really blessed to be able to
<v Speaker 1>get that clear of view and looking it just happened
<v Speaker 1>to be looking straight at it, and it was incredible.
<v Speaker 1>I feel it's just enormously blessed that in twenty twenty
<v Speaker 1>four I happened to see two with my own eyes.
<v Speaker 1>Had two encounters, one both at night. One I didn't
<v Speaker 1>have any lights on it, but I could see its
<v Speaker 1>outline and it was way too close.
<v Speaker 3>For my comfort.
<v Speaker 1>And the other we were in a truck and I
<v Speaker 1>could see it clearly with the headlights and the only
<v Speaker 1>thing that I didn't get a good look was his face.
<v Speaker 3>That's unfortunate.
<v Speaker 1>I've been wanting to see what one looks like in
<v Speaker 1>the face for for quite some time, and I still
<v Speaker 1>haven't had that opportunity yet. But I feel truly, truly
<v Speaker 1>blessed to be able to have these encounters and to
<v Speaker 1>be able to share these encounters with the rest of
<v Speaker 1>the world. So this next film is called The Vanished
<v Speaker 1>and it centers around two missing people in the Smoky
<v Speaker 1>Mountain National Park and it's really interesting, you know though.
<v Speaker 1>There's lots of theories as to why they went missing,
<v Speaker 1>and certainly Bigfoot is one of them. And with Bigfoot
<v Speaker 1>being I know personally that there's bigfoot within an hour's
<v Speaker 1>drive of there, which would make it about seventy miles.
<v Speaker 1>I'm certain that there would be bigfoot in the Smoky
<v Speaker 1>Mountain National Forest because it's almost one continuous forest, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm certainly that there's more than one there. So those
<v Speaker 1>are mine counters. I hope you've enjoyed them, and it
