Episode 47 - Eldar pt 4 - Eldar Weapons, Vehicles, Wraithhosts, and a little bit of Ynnari

The 40k Lorecast

On today's episode we conclude (for now) our coverage of the Eldar. We dive into the weaponry and vehicles that the Eldar bring to bear on the battlefield. With some especial fan-boying about how broken and annoying they have been over the editions. We then jump into Wraithhosts who are both amazing and, in the case of the Wraith Knight, game breaking. Because we had some time left over, we decided it was a good time to tell the first part of the Ynnari story so as to set up some future casts about them.

[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome to the Forty Kaylor cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to Forty K. Lorkas with me, John Varsati and Brad Jester.
[SPEAKER_00]: This guy today.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to finish off our coverage of the elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: We tried to do it in three, but it's happened to be all the way to four because they got long.
[SPEAKER_03]: And also we did it in five.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, one got re-recorded because again, John didn't press the record button.
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, as usual, when we record something, I talked twice as much.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was actually better.
[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have the time to do all these twice, but, man.
[SPEAKER_00]: We should probably do that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we should look into that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, on today's cast, we're going to dive a bit more into the way that the Eldar wage war, and we're going to touch on the most important change of their lore.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's been
[SPEAKER_03]: really ever.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's the newest addition.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll get there in a bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: But before we go, as always, please follow and comment in the cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's helping the metrics out quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're getting well promoted right now, or in the top five leisure casts in Australia.
[SPEAKER_03]: I know what that means.
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't know either.
[SPEAKER_03]: Every now and then you suede like the list of us and batches, because it will be like number three, most popular podcast and all of Sweden, and then we will just not exist in the list anymore.
[SPEAKER_00]: Number one billion.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then the US will restore the top twenty most times.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's thanks to you all just listening and making good comments.
[SPEAKER_03]: We also in the show notes, you'll see a link to the Patreon for those of you who've helped us out.
[SPEAKER_03]: I cannot thank you enough.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's really been great.
[SPEAKER_03]: We have new microphones.
[SPEAKER_03]: We've got new auto audio editing, which hopefully you all like.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't, let me know.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll change a different one.
[SPEAKER_03]: I have money to do it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll make whatever changes you guys are want.
[SPEAKER_03]: And we're even using some of that might to remaster some of the old casts because our goal is to actually put this on YouTube in the future with a bunch of AI artwork, et cetera.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also in the show notes, you'll see a link to our Discord channel.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you'd like the cast, you're looking for more information or just went interact with us.
[SPEAKER_03]: We are very heavy in this Discord.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's free to join now, obviously.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not just awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's quite a lot of members in there at that time of recording were over six hundred and fifty members in the Discord.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's very active.
[SPEAKER_03]: People are always asking questions about favorite literature, or further alerts they could read, gameplay advice, modeling advice, or just even stuff about the lore in general to incredible spot.
[SPEAKER_03]: And if you like Forty-K lore, we're hoping to really build this in the more of a community.
[SPEAKER_03]: So people who like the lore can have a kind of safe place to interact with each other, ask good questions, and kind of learn and enjoy themselves.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna get edited out quickly on this.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you have a great starter, if you have something that you really want to meet, to be engaged with.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tag me.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't tag John.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tag me on it.
[SPEAKER_00]: John's going to respond anyways.
[SPEAKER_03]: I always respond.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you tag me, it's something that I will definitely look into.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I really like to be involved in fun conversations.
[SPEAKER_00]: We have a ton of those in the discord.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I know I'm trying to pat myself in the back, but I still can't because my arms are too short.
[SPEAKER_00]: But like I really do enjoy yourself short.
[SPEAKER_03]: Your arms are too short and your back is too bad.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's my man.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's make sure we set the table correctly.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't pat yourself in the back because your arms are short and your spinal twist.
[SPEAKER_00]: But besides that, I mean, that's the only problem I have to stop.
[SPEAKER_00]: But one of my favorite things in the discord is when we get a great thread going and just about whatever.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, what's your favorite book?
[SPEAKER_00]: What's your favorite primer?
[SPEAKER_00]: What's your favorite battle?
[SPEAKER_00]: What's your favorite?
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever.
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's my models that I've been working on.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love those threads.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to be part of them.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like you guys to be part of the discord.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's my shameless promotion.
[SPEAKER_00]: Continue on.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now for the last shameless promotion for Brad, for those of you who want to play the game, Brad is available for coaching around the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: Brad is available for coaching as simple as, like, how do I play the game at a basic level, too?
[SPEAKER_03]: I have an event coming up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can we, you know, give me, get ready for the event all the way to?
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, I actually just would like to be better at this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can we just get together every week and really dive into it?
[SPEAKER_00]: We're not a play the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just play the game and get really good of the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: Brad's available for all that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't give him enough credit on this because I'm around him a lot and giving him extra credit makes him like he blows a little bit and it's weird.
[SPEAKER_03]: But he is like, I hit him with that as he took a cell on her, so you're hearing his Brad choke.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, but Brad actually is a top five player traditionally within globally and more hammer.
[SPEAKER_03]: So when we say he's available for coaching, it's not a guy who thinks he knows what he's doing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Brad has proven it on the table top quite a few times and he really can't help you quite at that.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's a very good person advancing your game.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you can find him at old man's something, something at Gmail.
[SPEAKER_00]: God damn it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's just, you know, screw it up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Still saying old man brand.
[SPEAKER_03]: Forty can't you mail.com or just go to www.fortyklorcast.com.
[SPEAKER_03]: Click the link.
[SPEAKER_03]: Click the link.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway.
[SPEAKER_03]: With that, let's dive back into our last little coverage of Eldar for now.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll start with kind of how the Eldar wage war.
[SPEAKER_03]: So a couple of casts to go.
[SPEAKER_03]: We covered like each craft world has their own system, like Sam Klein used a lot of bikes, both way use psychers.
[SPEAKER_03]: I and I didn't have rates.
[SPEAKER_03]: All they talk, shoot you before the game begins.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not over it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm still proud of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: But at their core, as you said before, Eldar are famous for being glass cans.
[SPEAKER_03]: they can hit you with all the power that exists, but they're still a rather frail, when compared to the races.
[SPEAKER_03]: And although it doesn't really quite play out properly in the lower, they do have a limited number.
[SPEAKER_03]: Brad and I joke about this a lot where it's like, they're a dying race of billions, but screw billions.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, it's they're not dying.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're still a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, this means that even the most robust of the LDR units are still, they're actually frail compared to other things.
[SPEAKER_03]: Even the ad-Mac are more durable than the LDR, even the towel and a battle suit.
[SPEAKER_00]: In the thing is, is that they really do hold all LDR lives, not everybody else's lives.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they hold our life very sacred, and you think they'd be more heavily armed, but they're not, because they rely on
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this you speed, and the truth is that this is millions of years, the Eldar have realized that speed is actually the greatest thing of the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: And let's call it out.
[SPEAKER_03]: Why do you play Eldar on the table top?
[SPEAKER_00]: They're faster than everybody.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: The truth is actually a tabletop board game.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're really, really good because they are faster than everybody else.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they also get to move when they're not supposed to move, which is, oh, yeah, we're going to cover one reason for that later.
[SPEAKER_03]: That rule went way quick in it.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, they don't have every, every edition.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm talking about the scenario.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Jesus.
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe the most broken thing, GW ever introduced.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we get to that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to give a good story of all the walls.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's, we'll, we'll compare those two.
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, so the LDR with the way that they wage war, the best word I can think of for it is just suddenly the LDR, they don't, they don't muster forces at the, at the edge of you.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just appear attack hit you and boogie the hell.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to let you decide, well, the end of this are not because as soon as you said suddenly, I thought Billy Ocean.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, oh, you can look that up.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that would be an eighties pop guy.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well done, Brad.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well done.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just just sad.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just sad.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can let that be something that makes it or doesn't make it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: But what happens is the way the elder wage this kind of sudden warfare, where they're just appearing out of nowhere, hitting and disappearing, is it gives them like the illusion or the function of durability?
[SPEAKER_00]: It is a big deal on this because other races, other factions in the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: feel like Elder has more durability because they often are just not hit.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not hit.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're in the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're minus to hit.
[SPEAKER_00]: They reroll a save.
[SPEAKER_00]: They do things where in lore in the actual fighting of the thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're just not there.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, pre-cocked.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting buffed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and this is where, um, they get yelled at for this.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is where I felt their eighth edition rules were actually good because the idea was that you could take a custod who's, who might, maybe, maybe one of the greatest warriors in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: incredibly accurate and incredibly capable and he could be looking at an LDR staying in the middle of an open field and miss because the LDR was with minus game I'd make him minus four to hit some a deck but that's you know but the reason but it actually made sense because that's what the LDR was so good is that as that custod
[SPEAKER_03]: Shoot to the elder, the elder sees the custod, sees the weapon, knows that can instantly recognize how fast that that shot comes in the direction of shots coming, the direction of the wind if it's a projectile.
[SPEAKER_03]: And just shiny a little bit more.
[SPEAKER_00]: I also obfuscated the custod, told the elder warrior to move slightly faster.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the far sea are also
[SPEAKER_03]: Nudge them over because he knew it was going and that's why they held our able to avoid that's what makes them so durable is that kind of combo again?
[SPEAKER_03]: You got a little abused but a little I played elder almost exclusively in the addition to I played elder and the orc in the addition and that was it Anyway, yeah, they're they were fun and the point being at the point I was making is that that's why they held our so durable as you just can't hit them you just they're so hard to
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's talk about the wage war.
[SPEAKER_00]: There's, we've joked about this, but we said, why elder or not, the good guys is because elder also digs, because elder, they have no, I have to meet you at the field of battle at dawn.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, but elder right now is very pragmatic about it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It may be overly so sometimes and they will just eliminate your ability to.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and this is I think I'm listening to cast notes.
[SPEAKER_03]: My primary is an org player.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's my number one army that I like to play, but my number two is Eldar.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the reason I play Eldar is tactically, I like how they play.
[SPEAKER_03]: The way the Eldar is supposed to wage war is they know ahead of time who their opponent harp is, and they know where their opponent can fight.
[SPEAKER_03]: The first round of battle, like if you were a lay talk in third edition, is you would go through an eliminate.
[SPEAKER_03]: one key.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, leaders.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but on the battlefront, they would sit there and say, All right, we're going to bring a bunch of fast attack bikes and aircraft.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what are we going to do?
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we're going to sit down and we're going to eliminate your ability to fight those.
[SPEAKER_03]: Our first is what the German Blitz Creek was.
[SPEAKER_03]: The first thing we're going to do is remove your ability to hit this one thing and then we're going to use that thing to exploit the rest of you.
[SPEAKER_03]: And as you then counter the rest of our armies and I tell you, that's how Eldar wage war.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's his brutal multi-phase, very quick multi-phase battle that leaves you.
[SPEAKER_00]: If the thing is is that Eldar have rate, this is the dick's bar because they have far-sears to look in the future.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can see all possible outcomes and they also cough, cough, bealtown.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't really value other races.
[SPEAKER_00]: They'll often hit a high world.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, agro world.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, whatever.
[SPEAKER_00]: The lead high fleets into the American.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they don't care at all.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'm saying they'll do what's necessary so that man the high fleet was going to definitely make contact with the craft world until we did a couple skirmish battles.
[SPEAKER_03]: Again, the reason getting a little hit on my garden was ultra.
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying, they do that shit kind of a lot.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they also caught off resources.
[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes they do, I said the Reven thing, but they will actually snipe off certain worlds.
[SPEAKER_00]: And basically go, you should get ready for battle because they know that chaos is going to be coming.
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're like, yeah, man, but you just killed
[SPEAKER_00]: legitimately millions of people.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, yeah, but now you're, you're ready.
[SPEAKER_03]: You have a now you're reinforced.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but that's a real thing that they do and they actually feel super.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're doing the right thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: One thing I want to dive into actually on that note is about we talk about the elder being a dying race and this and the other the one thing that I don't think we touched on the last three casts is the elder when they're really motivated to not die.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I say that it's more than the race because of what an Eldar Death is.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you're a human being and you die, you just die.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or if you're not a hundred percent, you're sure what happens.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldar, no one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldar, no one happens.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's the way that we talk about slenesh eating their soul.
[SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't mean that like, oh, I'm not being reincarnated, which but the Eldar were before the fall.
[SPEAKER_03]: It is a, I spend an eternity under the, basically as a slave to slenesh, turn into a demon at the top of it, whatever it is.
[SPEAKER_00]: or a puppet that legitimately kills other elders.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, your conscious of the fact that you're killing other elders.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, elder, this is when we talk about like the elder and not willing to sacrifice any of themselves for this, this is where it comes from.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not just a, you know, we need to preserve our race.
[SPEAKER_03]: It is a, if I die, I as an elder or die, the death I get is so horrifying that I need to not have that happen.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why we have so many spirit stones.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we do.
[SPEAKER_00]: Look at all our models.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have a lot of gems on them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, which I'm going to be asked at first.
[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't paint the spirit zone very well.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm letting all of my other have a horrifying death.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've had to go back and redo a few of those.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's discuss a little bit about the way that Eldar fights, some of the weapons they use, the tactics they use, because this stuff I actually like a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: So last time we did we covered aspect warriors, today I want to cover their weaponry, and then some of their actual vehicle ask things, rates aren't really vehicle.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's just talk about the, for weapons.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's dive into the four big ones.
[SPEAKER_03]: Cherokee, Prism's, Lance, and D-Weapons.
[SPEAKER_00]: You heard me say it because the first three, super awesome.
[SPEAKER_00]: The last one is super awesome.
[SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
[SPEAKER_03]: Was such bullshit.
[SPEAKER_03]: You denigrate.
[SPEAKER_03]: Deweapons.
[SPEAKER_03]: I will kill you.
[SPEAKER_03]: They are the greatest.
[SPEAKER_00]: They are so cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: They have the greatest rules.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're, they're, unless you play against them.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord is fantastic.
[SPEAKER_00]: Playing them is the worst.
[SPEAKER_03]: Which edition?
[SPEAKER_00]: All of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They auto killed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, with no save, no rule.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're spoiling.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're spoiling.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's get there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll start with the ones that I actually hate the absolute most and that's Sherrigan, which once again is a galsweapon.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they could have called it in and they wanted.
[SPEAKER_03]: GW just got gals completely wrong.
[SPEAKER_03]: So a shuriken is a, uh, sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love that Necrons.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's back on everybody.
[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't Necron cast.
[SPEAKER_00]: Necron do not have glass technology.
[SPEAKER_03]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_00]: The other do.
[SPEAKER_00]: And we call this something else.
[SPEAKER_03]: And we call it shuriken.
[SPEAKER_03]: We call it shuriken because if you Google the word shuriken, you get ninja throwing stars.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what this does is this is a gun that shoots ninja throwing stars out of it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you weren't aware, Eldar were written in the late eighties, and you're old enough to know what movies were like in the late eighties, you now put in two and two together.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is saying every kid caught in a gas weapon because it is the definition of a gas weapon combined with things written ninja turtles.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, well, it, you know what, and God's weapon doesn't have to not shoot a throwing star out of him.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it should not shoot a throwing star.
[SPEAKER_03]: And we have, I know, I don't think so, I disagree.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, we have businessists in our discord, or to understand that you actually shoot a projectile that's a shaped projectile, not a spinning flat disc.
[SPEAKER_03]: Look, the scene in commando where he kills the guys with the rotary blades.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is it amazing?
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's one of the best scenes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like if I shoot my shirt again, and I shoot it around a corner, which basically die of interest can do.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It bounces off a wall comes back and goes someone in theory.
[SPEAKER_03]: They actually took this rule away for a good reason.
[SPEAKER_03]: They used to be able to shoot out of line of sight here again.
[SPEAKER_03]: They did some wanted shit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just threw them around.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was incredibly stupid.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're ninjas, but they are impossibly sharp and fired incredible speed.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the idea is that as Sherrick and if you're unarmored, just cuts you to pieces.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you are armored, it's still sharp enough and fire a fast enough speed to actually cut through your armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: It would cut through it better if it was shaped like a projectile.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think with a pointed tip to go through things, but apparently I'm shooting rotary blades at things.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying, John, as I feel like you've
[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't hear when I said, nitch.
[SPEAKER_03]: Is it doom?
[SPEAKER_03]: Which is the FPS where you get a gun?
[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, I say, which, there's a thousand of them right where you can shoot rotary blades at people.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's now it's dead space.
[SPEAKER_03]: Dead space has this.
[SPEAKER_03]: There we go.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now I'm back in.
[SPEAKER_03]: It makes you even a whole dead distance.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't play the date, that's space to remake and place it in five by the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Very good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well made remake.
[SPEAKER_03]: But sometimes you don't want to shoot little ninja stars at people.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean,
[SPEAKER_00]: When do you not want to shoot?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so the L.D.
[SPEAKER_03]: ever hits.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the L.D.
[SPEAKER_03]: also have last cans, which we covered in our appearing weaponry, but the L.D.
[SPEAKER_03]: are their last cans are just better.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're first off, they're called bright lenses.
[SPEAKER_03]: They used to be way better by the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they're with some bright ones.
[SPEAKER_00]: Everyone's always used to treat armor as gel.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they would just go through armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, oh, you have an armor, the front mind's armored.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't care.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go screw you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Except they should must die.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you, you're not wrong.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Eldar made their own las kind of hold a bright lens.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so what the bright lens is able to do is it's just like a regular las cannon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Butch energy gets focused through a crystal shoots through the crystal and adding possible distances blows through it.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the Eldar do with their blast cannons, though, is where as the Imperian made a las rifle with it and made less powerful versions, the Eldar made more powerful versions, like the Pulse Laser and the Scatter Laser, which will wreck things.
[SPEAKER_00]: We have a bright last, and we have a dark last.
[SPEAKER_03]: You'll have dark last is still bright lances, but yeah, so the bread's point.
[SPEAKER_03]: Bright lances through the additions have been discussed.
[SPEAKER_00]: Magnifique is what it's a term I would use always been good and they have also the thing is is that they don't they always put these on vehicles.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: One way or another.
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's a lie.
[SPEAKER_00]: We back that up.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have put them on vehicles that they don't call vehicles.
[SPEAKER_03]: The support of the supply, but it's still a vehicle.
[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have troops carrying.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody was going to say, no, you could take bright lenses in your Guardian squad.
[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, you can.
[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't move for it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a pain.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, but they could.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's because you had a vehicle.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: A support platform.
[SPEAKER_00]: You had a vehicle that it floated on very much.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, that being said, as cool as the last candidates are, we'll move into one of my, one of my more favorite ones, which is the prism can.
[SPEAKER_00]: I really actually, I'm going to geek out on this for just a second.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I feel the prism's prism technology is the elder technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like that should be way more than the right answer side.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, oh, the president's way, yeah, it's if you need to that.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's there.
[SPEAKER_03]: So way better.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm saying it's there.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's also table top wise broken as all the linking and all that shit between linking and shadow specters.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so before we get into this, I do want to point out the ad mech are obsessed with this technology.
[SPEAKER_03]: They want it desperately.
[SPEAKER_03]: They want it so bad.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll tell you some fun stories about how many times they've blown
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, one of the biggest, when it's up, trying to build it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, one of the biggest things about the prism technology is you can harness different variations of prism technology in infantry based vehicle based heavy
[SPEAKER_03]: Have you asked, so what the prison kind of is is it's basically a two-stage glass cans.
[SPEAKER_03]: You have the normal thing where we're going to agitate the energy and fire the energy through, but then it goes through two focusing crystals.
[SPEAKER_03]: The first one, like you'd have a normal glass kind of shoots it, but the second one then either focuses it down further or disperses it, which makes this weapon so powerful, because one of the big challenges you run to with tanks, for example, is I bring a tank out of the big gun on it, but what happens if in front of the tank is a thousand hormones.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, with a prison technology, I just turned it to white array and sort of shooting out one powerful beam is just out first.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a dispersed.
[SPEAKER_03]: It shoots out a thousand small beams and just shreds infantry.
[SPEAKER_03]: So prison technology is maybe the greatest thing, anything about Eldar, because Eldar don't have the ability to bring lots of stuff to bear.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're, they're a plan to stay bring one tank and that tank can handle every.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a hybrid.
[SPEAKER_00]: But my favorite thing of this is why I feel that the prison technology should be more prevalent in the, on the board.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because well, you could, you just don't like for pyrebrisms.
[SPEAKER_00]: It should be in more stuff than pyrebrisms, okay?
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a person really broad night.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't dislike the pyrebrism.
[SPEAKER_00]: I dislike the fact that it costs a million.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also clunky comparatively.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a great kind of the man.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just like prison technology is elder technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'd like to see more of that as much as what we're going to cover now.
[SPEAKER_03]: The greatest technology, all of our things are decaying.
[SPEAKER_03]: The weapons.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the D weapons mostly seen in the form of D cannons are, okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what this thing does?
[SPEAKER_03]: It's bananas.
[SPEAKER_03]: It creates a hole in the material at their target.
[SPEAKER_03]: When it does that,
[SPEAKER_03]: best case scenario, the combat between the material and the material.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like sodium meeting water.
[SPEAKER_03]: It just fights, explodes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe crushes whatever is there.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in worst case scenario, wherever you just got shot, that part of your body.
[SPEAKER_00]: or all of your body goes to the end of the war.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I actually would prefer at least having a fighting chance with my whole body in the war.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not super excited about you putting, I don't know, a man who's sized hole in my torso.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's not, it's not even just you shot me.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm bleeding.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, that part of my body is just magic.
[SPEAKER_03]: You just exist in this round of the process anymore.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or if it's a big decant in me and my buddies just appear to maybe next the slenacious temple.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: This could be better.
[SPEAKER_03]: Armor and shields do nothing to stop a D weapon by the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: It is just it just hits and does this thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well again, when you open up effectively a portal to the warp.
[SPEAKER_00]: in your tank, your shield doesn't do a great job.
[SPEAKER_03]: The elder love this gun.
[SPEAKER_03]: They put it on platforms.
[SPEAKER_03]: They put it on walkers.
[SPEAKER_03]: They put it on vehicles.
[SPEAKER_03]: They put it on radio chips.
[SPEAKER_03]: They put on spaceships even.
[SPEAKER_03]: These things hit hard.
[SPEAKER_03]: Before we dive into a couple of funny rules, they've had over the year.
[SPEAKER_03]: One of my favorite lore stories I forget which codex this is from.
[SPEAKER_03]: The admec finally got a hold of one after a while and they took it.
[SPEAKER_03]: They, you know, reverse engineered and built their own decadent.
[SPEAKER_03]: We don't know what happened when they turned it on, but we do know that the Grey Nights got sent to that world because it was a full-scale demon invasion on the forge world.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oopsie.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're supposed to shoot this.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's supposed to open up and take part in you and they just basically went, oh, we shot it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, the portal's not going away.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so since then, the inquisition has had a lot of conversations with the ad mech about their experimentation with de-canons and then they're not allowed to do it.
[SPEAKER_04]: Just a big no.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, one of my favorite things about D-Weapons is their rules over the years.
[SPEAKER_03]: They, in their current version, they're not that bad.
[SPEAKER_03]: I can close.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just hate hard, but they're weird.
[SPEAKER_00]: However, when I used to have things right, put a template on someone, I'm just gonna give you guys a rule.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, tell me how fun you think this is.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, say, take a five inch in diameter.
[SPEAKER_00]: Circle, circle.
[SPEAKER_00]: and I set it on top of your models.
[SPEAKER_00]: And if I roll a six, everything that my five inch circle touched goes away.
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't get to say, you don't get to do anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: You just put your models back on your tray and just get annoyed.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, eighteen percent of the time, you lose whatever that is.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: For actually a lot of addition, they had variations of that rule too.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're like, on a six to wound, whatever they hit, just goto dice.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It could be a tank.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: If the links had a flamer, they did that.
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, for how about that?
[SPEAKER_02]: The big flamer, too.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_02]: I like D-Weapons.
[SPEAKER_03]: Any of course did.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're probably putting them in the yard.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's a bunch of them, and they're actually, I have a ton of D-wap in my, all my older magnetized, and if you think I didn't magnetize out a bunch of D-canons, you're out of your mind.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so with that, that's the weapons.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk now into the vehicle.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll start with the Brett, well, I would consider really the, it's the bread and butter yet the jet bike.
[SPEAKER_00]: The jet bike is different.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Imperium has graph technology.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't have this level of graph technology.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a combo of both.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so the four-week-high dive is we can talk about the elder jet bike.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not just that it's fast, it's maneuverable.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hardness has to do with LDAR technology and LDAR physiology because the G forces don't matter to the LDAR.
[SPEAKER_03]: So whereas humans are advanced in the Forty First millennia, obviously, there are still some levels of loss of physics.
[SPEAKER_00]: There are laws of physics are basically roadrunner levels of physics.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's held our taking something up to mock for or taking to a full stop, making a left turn and taking off again, they're fine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Whereas human being would just pass out and ship themselves.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that was a die.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably right.
[SPEAKER_00]: The average jet bike rider is doing effectively impossible.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, literally, literally, typical bread and possible things.
[SPEAKER_03]: These things aren't nuts.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so what that means is that the jet bike not only, the Ella jet bikes are built to go faster and make turns that no one else's bikes are able to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is to go back to the way they wage war couples into the way they build them out.
[SPEAKER_03]: The jet bikes are not that well armed actually.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're not very well armored.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they only carry a shuriken cannon on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not a lot of stuff, but they're so quick.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're never going to.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're basically they're going to shoot you and you can't do anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is again, why they're minus one.
[SPEAKER_03]: They hit for most of the most of the additions or worse.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were obscuring because of the ideas.
[SPEAKER_03]: These jet bikes come.
[SPEAKER_03]: They look with the fourteen inches.
[SPEAKER_00]: They get one point back on the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: They move sixteen.
[SPEAKER_00]: They get twenty two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was two.
[UNKNOWN]: It
[SPEAKER_03]: But they would come in and that you forget quick and was also double move.
[SPEAKER_03]: So you move forty four inches.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it couldn't advance a quick.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so yes.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's thirty two inches.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a bomber.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can advance on the first.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't advance on the second.
[SPEAKER_03]: Thirty eight inch movement on a board that was forty four by sixty.
[SPEAKER_00]: What?
[SPEAKER_00]: This is fair.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what they would do.
[SPEAKER_03]: Some has always been balanced.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just laughing at this.
[SPEAKER_03]: What makes the Lord of Table Top, Eldard nailed it.
[SPEAKER_03]: No one's ever nailed it as well as they have over and over and over and over again.
[SPEAKER_03]: But what the jet bikes are designed to do is they jump out of nowhere, moving impossible speeds, just spray fire down an enemy and then they're gone.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is the thing in the board that people hate it will be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because, uh, it's just going to work.
[SPEAKER_00]: Eldar had the rule on the tabletop, which is very, very lower.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's all accurate.
[SPEAKER_03]: This was all fluff.
[SPEAKER_00]: So like, Eldar used to be able on the board.
[SPEAKER_00]: They would shoot something and then they would get a six inch move, well, decent.
[SPEAKER_00]: But whatever, you get up to six inch move and you could just get out of the way.
[SPEAKER_00]: So elder on the board in forty k could interact with you and then go behind cover so you could never see any of their models.
[SPEAKER_00]: And people would want to throw things at you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know because I was playing them at the time.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it is very, very accurate in the lore, because this is how Eldar fight.
[SPEAKER_00]: They shoot, they get the hell out of the way.
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't want to receive your fire.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now that they don't have armor, they don't want to be shot at all.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but for they actually don't have armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it, it comparatively appears.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a piece of the Eldar.
[SPEAKER_03]: When they were crafting out their weapon, they were in their vehicles.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were designed to not need armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were designed to need speed.
[SPEAKER_00]: And so they'll, yeah, they're, in period fights with, I'm just going to make thicker and thicker armor.
[SPEAKER_00]: All their fights with, I'll just be faster than you, and I won't be there anymore.
[SPEAKER_00]: And those are wildly different philosophies of how to wage one.
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_03]: And very successful by the way for the elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, you know, I also probably have the impairment.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to say, it's just like, I'll just make two foot thick armor and you'll just do enough in combat.
[SPEAKER_03]: When we talk about Eldar, like, lower battle style, what the jet bikes are really most designed to do is to kind of come out of nowhere and plan get the enemy.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's really to control the movement of the enemy.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're not trying to do it.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're not saying you're trying to break lines.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're trying to
[SPEAKER_00]: Screw with communication.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're also trying to make it seem.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is one of the biggest things that the elder do in combat is make my opponent think that there's more than they're actually.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And where is it coming from?
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to figure out the beat.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is like they're one of their, they're just harassing, which is we're moving so fast and we're shooting you from all angles.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're like,
[SPEAKER_00]: There must be tens of thousands of elder coming to fight us because they've shot us from every single angle.
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: All over the place and then you're like, no, that's actually two years.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what this does is so after the jet bikes have kind of had their well, not after while they're having their way within the jet bikes will then suddenly disappear.
[SPEAKER_03]: And here comes round two.
[SPEAKER_03]: And round two is gonna be your aspect warriors popping out of nowhere coming in or we're gonna cover some of the tanks or even the rates being deployed this moment.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you're just grossly unprepared.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because you're still trying to recover from the jet bike attack.
[SPEAKER_00]: And one of the biggest things about this to say and understanding one of some of the jet bikes somewhere and saying the aspects.
[SPEAKER_00]: But one of the big things is again, I'll never want to hit it and leave.
[SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna say I didn't quit it.
[SPEAKER_02]: You can take that out there.
[SPEAKER_02]: I saw you going.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I didn't want to go there, but I was like, it's fit so well.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they were a great turn of phrase.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want to strike in faith.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want to be gone.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want to, again, saving and held our lives.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what matters.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want to hit, and they ask, even the hand of hand workers want to kill everybody they hit, and then be done.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not looking to
[SPEAKER_00]: sit there and grind out a position.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're back flipping the hell out of there.
[SPEAKER_00]: And they look cool doing it because all their armor isn't really armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: It just looks awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just looks awesome.
[SPEAKER_03]: What also makes the jet by feeding by jet bikes is that they're also used by warlocks and far seers and autoks.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because this is not like, oh, we got to jet by guys who go up there.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, they're fully supported.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, bye.
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a big deal from where they're fighting against people, especially the people that have fought against elder before.
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know what you're getting into because they have shining spirits, warlocks, odd tarx.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have people that I've just went.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I shot you and now I'm going to hit you at a hundred miles an hour with a spear with a psychic power with a sword.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: And, or I'm just a jet-biker.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just shoot you and I drive away.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're not a hunter.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, especially vapor, which is a bigger version, but also just as fast that my carry a bright land saw.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also just blew a hole in your tank.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: See, you don't
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is the thing is the other fight with that whole.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're so fast.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're everywhere.
[SPEAKER_00]: Their thing is they don't want you to know what's happening.
[SPEAKER_00]: They want you to always be confused.
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's a big part of the warfare, though.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just being fast, being everywhere.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not letting your point of view point of can't figure out exactly what's going to where you're coming from.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can't really shoot back very well.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's increasing their survivability.
[SPEAKER_03]: As we just said, that's only phase one of the combat.
[SPEAKER_03]: And phase two is oftentimes the graph tanks.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I wish I loved our graph tanks.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'd like the more if they'd been updated ever because I've been building them for
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a lot of years.
[SPEAKER_00]: You've been building the exact.
[SPEAKER_03]: I can build an Eldar graph tank in the dark.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's the that's where we're headed.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's from two thousand.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just now they're pure plastic.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same chassis with the same dimensions and the same everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: Also painting wise.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's a really cool model paint.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's incredibly easy to paint and I'm going to get heat for that from people and I understand it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let me say that look better.
[SPEAKER_03]: Grave tanks are one of the easiest things to paint at a basic level because it's just long smooth flat surfaces.
[SPEAKER_03]: The flip side though is it means you've got areas that if you know how to freehand, you can go to town.
[SPEAKER_03]: People have put murals on on Eldar Grave tanks that are just looking at Nathan's stuff on Graves.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's terrifying.
[SPEAKER_00]: He's got free hand everywhere.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it is.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I do not because my hand shakes.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've got painted.
[SPEAKER_03]: So kind of like the Imperium, the Eldar only use one chassis for all their vehicles.
[SPEAKER_03]: The forge will want to go with separate, but screw them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this chassis is called the it's the Falcon Grave tanks, the main thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what based off of.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Grave is short for anti-gravity.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I want to point out again, where the Eldar are just so much better than the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_03]: because this is a, this is about to bring out something that's going to bother some people who've been playing the game long enough.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Eldar Grave Tank uses anti-grave technology, just like the impulsor does from the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't get any started.
[SPEAKER_03]: One of those two tanks has the fly keyword and can move fourteen inches.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but one of those is a space ship.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's just, yeah, because that's the real thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Get them at least fly away and do outer space.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so we're as the imperial anti-graphy floats.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it floats a bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's a glorified hovercraft, right?
[SPEAKER_03]: LDAR graph technology drops from orbit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Slow is a cause down space ship.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then hits.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there are a little bit better.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's a spaceship versus something that slowly.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And LDAR graph tanks are
[SPEAKER_03]: fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: They've pulled them down a little bit in the recent edition.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's still deep straight.
[SPEAKER_03]: They still do.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking about wave serpents moving forward.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: There was an era where sixteen.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was the sort of sixteen and six in the inch move.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's fair enough.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were mildly strong.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's dive into the types of the graph tanks that have.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll cover the four most common.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the first is the most common and probably both in lower and currently the tabletop, which is the Falcon, which is the bread and butter.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's your general purpose graph tank.
[SPEAKER_03]: One thing I really like about the Eldar weaponry is, we say it's meant, we say general purpose, it's meant to be take all cover.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldar don't really have as much specialized weaponry in their heavy equipment.
[SPEAKER_00]: We have a volume of shots and they have a decently high strength in their shots, so they're meant to be able to kill anything that's in front of you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Be it tank, be it infantry, be it whatever, and
[SPEAKER_00]: The falcon is a great vehicle for this because the falcon doesn't have a full troop capacity of some of their.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the big one, but it can carry a squad of aspect warriors.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: It carries the squad of aspect warriors and it still has anti whatever guns.
[SPEAKER_00]: It has heavy gun multiple heavy guns on it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, it can come from space.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it drops from, I mean, this is the way the elder wage war.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are either going to pop out of a web way if it's present or they will just pop out of space and land next to you.
[SPEAKER_00]: And also apparently they just never ever suffer re-entry because they just dirt down.
[SPEAKER_03]: Why would they suffer re-entry?
[SPEAKER_03]: That's something for the imperium.
[SPEAKER_00]: This silly atmosphere stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Falcons really critical in the table top because it does that.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know the old hours we said before the jet bikes come in there they harassed and you might have some artillery coming in from my dark creepers or whatever and then just as you think that couldn't get worse these things drop out of space and Some of the greatest warriors in the galaxy jump out of it and it could be anything to
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, either close combat shooting whatever it's going to be and they will wreck you.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Falcon is critical and somewhat funny in that regard from there will move on to actually one of my favorites, which is the fire prism because Brett hates it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, I hate it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've played them, but like you played them because you know, they're good.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so let's talk about first we talk really about what what prison technology is the fire prism is a prism technology turned up to a nine or it makes a turn up to eleven eleven.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't have it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so what the prism does is so prism technology we mentioned it shoots again the laser beam through through a prism that then focuses it or disperses it there's one more thing it can do a different fire prism can shoot
[SPEAKER_03]: It's energy into the fire into the prism of another.
[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is badass.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the best way for me to explain this is if you, if you haven't seen Star Wars on a wireless, but when the Death Star shoots and all the little laser beams come together and then the big laser beams shoots out the shoots out the front, that's what this is.
[SPEAKER_03]: So a bunch of fire prisms.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it also shoots from the main tank as long as the other tanks can see the main tank.
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have to see the target because they're firing through.
[SPEAKER_03]: hate this on the table top.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's do, let's finish it out.
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's just say hypothetically you have three tanks and they all can see one tank.
[SPEAKER_00]: Your enemy can't see the tank or it can see the other.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you have three tanks, one of these tanks can see the enemy tanks.
[SPEAKER_03]: The other two are hidden.
[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, you can see the tank that can see the enemy tank.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then they all fire through that tank they can see.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then because it's Eldar, the tank that you can see disappears and moves behind a building.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Eldar would effectively just completely devastate.
[SPEAKER_03]: enemy armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: In ninth edition, they had a fun rule where they would ignore involves, which wouldn't be that big of a deal if they also weren't minus five AP.
[SPEAKER_03]: So effectively, nothing to have to be able to.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the way the rules are written, we play with a six-sided dice.
[SPEAKER_03]: In ninth edition, if my fire prisms, if I use two of them are more to shoot at you, you could not.
[SPEAKER_03]: Stop it.
[SPEAKER_03]: If I hit you, it did the full damage.
[SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, full damage was a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: I liked fire prisms.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, I'm the look cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a, it's a Falcon with a giant gun with a big crystal.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: They look amazing.
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, prison technology, that's, that is really, I don't even hate the fire prism.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just wish more things had prison technology.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because that feels super loud.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the fire prism.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the shadow specters.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the, the, the, the Smith else forge world, but it's got it.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, there's a bit of things that have prison.
[SPEAKER_00]: You, you have, well, they, they can't take it because the sun can't.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there's something kind of surprising.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're fair about that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the thing is, is that when I think that I think elder, I mean, I just feel they should have more of it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just kind of like the protest has their weapons and stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: They have their signature weapons.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just think that they actually should be more prison.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're right.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, believe me, people who play against Eldar do not.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's true.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the vehicle, the thought John is the wave serpent.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the wave serpent is the transport of the elder.
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's have you weaponry, even though it still has.
[SPEAKER_03]: Really less, what has two bright lenses, if you want it to or two star cannons, the new version is so, it's, it's, how about this listed in lore?
[SPEAKER_00]: And it does have one less gun.
[SPEAKER_00]: But the reason that they say that it has transport capacity is it has, one less gun.
[SPEAKER_03]: Wave serpent spam was a thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, also the fact that the matter is, the wave serpent is an upgrade because the wave serpent comes with a serpent shield.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this has been received very well by.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's a lot of times we talk about Eldar where you play Eldar.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the modern era, we play much more of the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think we have an app.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think people are more aware of what enemy what things do.
[SPEAKER_03]: Going even just back like five years ago, they didn't.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you had to hand your book over to somebody else because they wouldn't believe the rule you were telling them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they would look at it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they would look at you and they would look at it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'd have to say, yeah, that's what it says.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the Wave Serpent Service Hill is one of those things.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Serpent Shield has been holy shit busted for a lot of people hate this.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Serpent Shield in law and which is what we're doing.
[SPEAKER_00]: The surface shield in the lore is a force field.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a force field around the elder vehicle, and it deflects and disperses.
[SPEAKER_00]: It absorbs, basically.
[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, just like every other army has.
[SPEAKER_03]: The towel have force fields.
[SPEAKER_03]: The carry of force fields, everyone has force fields.
[SPEAKER_03]: They have the same force fields in the lore that the Eldar have in the lore.
[SPEAKER_03]: But only one of them on the tabletop had it actually worked correctly.
[SPEAKER_03]: And remember Eldar can also use their force fields to shoot people with.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was yeah, that was the fun one.
[SPEAKER_03]: They get dispersed because the force and blow it up.
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, the waves are going to effectively made it so that you couldn't harm the wave serpent.
[SPEAKER_00]: Which makes sense in the fact of, in the Lord of the honest with you, because they were supposed to have slightly less guns, and they use most of their energy instead of for guns.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, I think the idea of being honest with you was that I've got this tank that I'm going to shoot up the board and it's going to unload its cargo full of, it's the elder version of a land raid.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what it is, except it's got better guns, it's more accurate, and moves it almost twice the distance and can fly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Little bit better.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the serpent shield would make it so when you try to shoot it, it would just basically tell you to go after yourself.
[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, no.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the way of serpent, I like the way of serpent, it's had its moment.
[SPEAKER_03]: But speaking of things that have had a moment in the game, Jesus, this is.
[SPEAKER_03]: You guys don't get to enjoy a watching Brad's face as we go to each of these, and he's makes his face to see realizes what we're about to discuss.
[SPEAKER_00]: The night spinner used to be
[SPEAKER_00]: actually in-law night spent are fantastic.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is an artillery platform that is based on a falcon.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I love this idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a rapid moving artillery.
[SPEAKER_03]: So every other piece of artillery has to set itself in the ground, deploy its pylons, site-adistance and fire.
[SPEAKER_03]: The night spinner is rocketing around the battlefield, lobbying, where we're about to talk about, you know, horrifying ordinance on, at its opponent.
[SPEAKER_03]: And moving so quickly, you actually don't, how do you, we say, is not moving just in a linear path.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's all over the place, jumping and jumping out.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's this is flying.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it moves super fast.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'll just give you, you know, and I'll give you a broken story.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, let's do what it shoots first, then what I really broke in the story.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because the, well, what it shoots is horrific.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what it shoots is we talked in the last episode about the warp spider's death spinner that's shooting monofilament webs, which monofilament is just it's a wire that's almost like it's basically microscopicly thin.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so when it cuts it's sharp, it cuts through everything.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it shoots these, these webs of these, it lobs them over the opponent.
[SPEAKER_03]: They come down and these things are, they're designed to be actually compact as they expand out as they hit.
[SPEAKER_03]: So obviously, I think organic, they would shred, but even armor, it'll actually cut through armor, it'll cut the barrel off something, cut through the armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the death spit, that's other than that.
[SPEAKER_03]: The night spinner is shooting these things and lobbing them at an opponent with giant versions of it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and the elder use this as artillery.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, to Brad's point, they've had some rules.
[SPEAKER_00]: They've had some good rules, they've had some bad rules.
[SPEAKER_00]: This vehicle got nerfed four times in tenth edition here so far.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because, wow.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in ninth edition, it got nerfed in ninth edition for people who are not going to play for me too powerful.
[SPEAKER_03]: Then they launched tenth edition and had to get nerfed four times and you still see them on the board.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just, but I mean, you know what, I'm not even gonna get it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I did, we could do like, twenty minutes on what the shit happened with the night.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: The night spinner has been one of the greatest weapons on the tabletop in the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it might be the most, at least in tap the dishes, the most broken tank.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, oh, tack, okay, I was saying, tank.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_03]: The other also, we're gonna cover that one a little bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they haven't had a run.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's another, so that's kind of, that covers all the tanks for us.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think helps for that.
[SPEAKER_03]: But there's another one that I love the aesthetic, but I'll be honest, I don't like the rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_01]: Rayth hosts.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love Rayth hosts.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I love the aesthetic.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love the lore.
[SPEAKER_03]: The lore is just one of the tabletop I just haven't liked.
[SPEAKER_00]: When will they die?
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because they're trying to avoid again being
[SPEAKER_00]: horribly bad slenesh things happening to them.
[SPEAKER_00]: They trap their life force in a waste of time and then use these spirit stones and they effectively load their spirit consciousness and I don't just say consciousness because they are not completely with it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they are when they first get loaded in.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's start, but let's do like that.
[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're left slash spirits here.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, guide them through what's happening.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're ahead.
[SPEAKER_03]: So let's go back a bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: So an elder warrior is fighting and is slain in the battlefield.
[SPEAKER_03]: Their soul gets it gets grabbed gets absorbed into the spirits on their chest.
[SPEAKER_00]: You already have on that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that stone is then after the battle, the elder come through and collect all the spirits, which is like, you know, soldiers do a dog attack, same concept, but they bring it back and then they load that spirit stone into the infinity circuit, which depends we can compare it to the thing in Ghostbusters tower.
[SPEAKER_03]: We can compare it to Final Fantasy X. There's a button that examples we can use for this.
[SPEAKER_03]: But that's the soul thing goes in there.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the soul goes in the frame circuit forever.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, what Spirit Host do is that when the elder need them, they actually will take a spirit when they shove it into the infinity circuit and load a soul and do it, take it and go shove it into a vehicle.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't know though before they do that, how long that soul has been in there.
[SPEAKER_00]: There is times though, no, there is times though, when they just take a string, I end up, I end up, does this a lot where they just take a fallen soldier and just media who just died and popped them in.
[SPEAKER_03]: But at their core, the idea, this is what makes a race kind of almost a crazy story is that you can have a race who was alive in a body thirty seconds ago when it's now in a race host or
[SPEAKER_03]: seven thousand years ago, they got killed in a mining accident.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is, is that they, they are in a half and half world.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're almost a ghost.
[SPEAKER_00]: because they're powering this construct and they're guiding it, but they need God, it's themselves because they are in a half and a half.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, because they're not because it's just deep and you take a guy who's been dead for seven thousand years, right?
[SPEAKER_03]: He's not sure is this even reality that I'm in right now?
[SPEAKER_00]: He's living in a dream.
[SPEAKER_00]: The physical world feels the exact same to him as the spirit world.
[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the size of that chicken.
[SPEAKER_00]: But also the, what's a big deal, and they need a guide.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but that being said, what I recently love Raythosts is at a certain point the elder does kind of snap to and know the problem and has a very simple purpose.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go kill something now for for the elder and we're going to dive in a couple of the fun ones here.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the first one we'll start with is the Reathguard.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Reathguard are about
[SPEAKER_03]: three meters high.
[SPEAKER_03]: The race lord is about seven meters and the race night can be anything.
[SPEAKER_03]: We need to do these can be building size.
[SPEAKER_00]: Which we'll talk about that in the rain nights, aren't we?
[SPEAKER_00]: Can we go into the red nights?
[SPEAKER_03]: Listen to them last year.
[SPEAKER_03]: We'll do the red night.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love red nights.
[SPEAKER_03]: But again, these guys just kind of awakened and attack.
[SPEAKER_03]: The example I used here is you can imagine like waking up from a thousand year dream and being a little bit, you know, out of it because the example that I thought of was I'd have a conoscopy like about a year ago in which case I was under anesthesia for like twenty minutes and my wife still laughs about how completely out of it I was after a twenty minute nap, you know, uh, twenty minute medical nap.
[SPEAKER_03]: These guys have been out for seven thousand years of surprise surprise their little bit rough.
[SPEAKER_03]: So that, that be shepherded up the battlefield originally by warlocks than they added in spirit seers because they actually can't the breath of the him and see the world.
[SPEAKER_03]: They actually see, they see the world that's the same way demons do, where they actually view like spirit and energy.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little bit goofy.
[SPEAKER_00]: They almost have life sign or anything.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: But what I like about this is just to the wake up, the spirit seers there, the warlocks there, and or whichever one it was, and they're just kind of coaxing them into reality, and all of a sudden bad ass time happens, where the rave kind of comes to it, realizes what needs to happen, and decides, I'm going that way to kick ass.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in the lore, holy shit to these things do it.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're also creepy in the battlefield because a dreadnought or a night is manufactured.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we've got servos.
[SPEAKER_03]: We've got, you know, hydraulics.
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's noise.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a night control.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And sung into being ravebone.
[SPEAKER_00]: These are part of
[SPEAKER_00]: Elderly.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're the part of it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's so they're quiet.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what's so crazy about them.
[SPEAKER_03]: The, I think it's the second Asian talks about like the only sound they make is the sound of their race cannons booming.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're also, even you're talking about race blades and stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's the next.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the next one, which is my favorite they added.
[SPEAKER_03]: which was the added rate blades in sixth edition they gave us.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they used to be for five editions or I guess four of this because it's no first edition held architects.
[SPEAKER_03]: So for four editions, the elder rates were just a tall walker carrying a D cannon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Awesome, the say the least.
[SPEAKER_03]: Then in sixth edition, they decided to turn this thing up a little bit and they gave us rath blades, which are my favorite version.
[SPEAKER_03]: Not with the sword.
[SPEAKER_00]: They went from slow zombies to fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: The fast zombie.
[SPEAKER_03]: So now they give him a giant axe and a shield that makes them invincible.
[SPEAKER_03]: First off, aesthetically, cool as hell.
[SPEAKER_03]: Lower-wise, my favorite point part about these is that rate blades, when they're awakened, have to be kept away from everyone else, because they're so full of rage and vengeance.
[SPEAKER_03]: If for some reason, they don't explain why it does this, but putting them in this specific body, I think they choose those spirits to be honest with you.
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole thing for the warlock slash spirits here is to find the best one.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they're supposed to find combatable.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're supposed to guide them.
[SPEAKER_03]: That would make my more sense.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I saw was that effect with a dirt, their spirit stone actually glows burning hot.
[SPEAKER_03]: And these things, they're basically sequestered away.
[SPEAKER_03]: And when it's time, they just open a door and they come running out fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, to go fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: Chop, chop, chop.
[SPEAKER_03]: These are big constructs too.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Moving.
[SPEAKER_00]: Silently and fast as shit.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is you're talking about, you know, six, seven meter, you know, that's not full seven.
[SPEAKER_03]: Probably actually probably more five, four or five meters or fifteen to twenty foot dead silent thing because you know, there's no vocal cords guys.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just running at you with a giant axe to chop you up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I wish they moved a lot faster on a table top because they're still pretty fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's not quick and then not.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's your story.
[SPEAKER_03]: Beyond that, the next level up are the Wrath Lords, which are just a larger version, is the one Sarah Light.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the Wrath Lords.
[SPEAKER_00]: I know you think they're terrible.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I've played them at different times over the years.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've played them recently.
[SPEAKER_03]: I know, I was at the event.
[SPEAKER_03]: You played it as a meme.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: You had a Wrath Lord and you had a spirit, but a Wrath Seer as a meme.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're in the closet.
[SPEAKER_03]: What?
[SPEAKER_03]: I had a dust that often give to you.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I love the idea of the Rape Lord.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord's awesome.
[SPEAKER_00]: Giant.
[SPEAKER_00]: Giant creatures that are superly heavyly armed.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: With every, this is, well, if they have a decand on their shoulder, both their arms have many guns on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they carry a giant sword or spear.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they also have shoulder mounted.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and they would.
[SPEAKER_03]: They have so many guns.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, the coolest hell in theory.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just again, I've made a lot of like I've built these to come in a lot of kits.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I have I have I think five of them for some weird reason.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just I love the idea of the right floor.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just this
[SPEAKER_00]: monstrously tall, powerful, just heavily, just every armament that they had everything.
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the standard loadout was a hand-to-hand weapon, two flamers, or two bright lines.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you had just like a ton of guns, plus you had the ability to fight.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just like the idea of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah
[SPEAKER_03]: These are cool.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so they're aesthetically amazing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, one, the rave night is almost a titan.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gigantic, but unlike a titan, it's a ninja.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a ninja.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's literally doing backflip kicks and it's fast as shit.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the weird part about it is, it doesn't work like the other rave constructs because of the fact that this is so odd because you're just like, how do they have any rave nights?
[SPEAKER_00]: The rave night has a driver
[SPEAKER_03]: And a spirit story.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna go ahead and call him out.
[SPEAKER_03]: I like the first Pacific Rim.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's like it's they're drifting with each other.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a shit film, but it's it's very entertaining.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's robust finding monsters.
[SPEAKER_03]: I know, yeah, it's very entertaining.
[SPEAKER_03]: They stole this idea.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the rate night is it's an elder twin, where one of the twins is dead.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that twins a spirit stone because elder twins apparently
[SPEAKER_03]: can see and feel through each other just normal.
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't really link.
[SPEAKER_03]: I actually just like our among was with his brother whose name I cannot remember that without showing out.
[SPEAKER_03]: So sorry guys, but it's a similar concept.
[SPEAKER_03]: So all of these things are powered by a living and dead Eldar who at one point were twins.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I just love the fact that every one of the other racers are going either lumbering, rave blades are kind of, they're a little bit quick.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, this thing is just like doing Chuck Norris kicks.
[SPEAKER_03]: It'll cartwheel across the flag room.
[SPEAKER_03]: And also the model, even though it's an older, it's an older kid.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's a cool as hell kit.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can model them up in a bunch of different ways.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's, if you, it means it's basically a gun number.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's bad.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I will say, all right, what were they worth in tenth or seven?
[SPEAKER_00]: Tath, real in close.
[SPEAKER_00]: Seven.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, seven.
[SPEAKER_00]: They were really good, but everything else was broken in seven.
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I guess that's very, very nice.
[SPEAKER_00]: By themselves would ruin the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
[SPEAKER_00]: There was.
[SPEAKER_00]: You just needed to take a rate that you went, oh, you got a rate that I guess you'll just win.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Unless I have a rate that you went first.
[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just stupid.
[SPEAKER_00]: I like my right.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, that struck me, did a hundred and twelve mortal ones to me in the first two turns.
[SPEAKER_00]: And Nova.
[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was, I'm not the way it was too many.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm regretting admit that that feels like a lot of mortal.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a real number.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it feels like needy more mortal wounds than it should have done.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was not great.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the reason that I'm obsessed with the right nights, and I actually people being honest, I barely ever played them because I was super excited to play it, but started a tenth, and then one tournament happened, and I was like, oh, yeah, I can't be that guy.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I won't, I just wouldn't put it on a table top.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they are aesthetically really cool-looking.
[SPEAKER_03]: They give them a giant sword, and then a sun cannon, and decannons.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, anyway.
[SPEAKER_03]: So you can bring three of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, god.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're kind of the ultimate weapon for the elder, and in the lore, what's funny about them is that there is no defining size of them in the lore, because they're an ancient weapon.
[SPEAKER_03]: As we discussed, when Magnus went to the world and discovered the web way for the first time,
[SPEAKER_03]: after that's what he left and someone disturbed the mound.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a racist, it was a multiple race nights popped up.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they got to beat the shit out of everyone and everything died because they are no joke.
[SPEAKER_00]: They're also they're so fast.
[SPEAKER_00]: like you can't deal with it fast you're like oh no this lumbering construct nope it is on top of you yeah rave night against an imperial night should just run up on it and cut it in half and then move on to do anything they can't even turn fast enough to figure it out i love rave nights so
[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, with that, we just want to cover some weaponry and there wasn't enough time to broadcast to do it, but we had some time left in this cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what we decided to write into this, so it's fills it a left turn.
[SPEAKER_03]: It is, but we wanted to spend a little bit time on something that's
[SPEAKER_00]: the cliffhanger of cliffhangers.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what we're going to cliffhanger it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So ha ha, suck at GW.
[SPEAKER_03]: I see where you are and we're taking you one more.
[SPEAKER_03]: Unary.
[SPEAKER_03]: So before we dive into Unary, let's just discuss kind of what happened with Unary in the tabletop and why we both think Unary timeline has been halted.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Yenari was broken.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so Yenari, yeah, this all this happens at the very end of seventh and the beginning of seventh edition gathering star books.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, fantastic books by the way, really is books that come in this set up the launch of eighth edition.
[SPEAKER_00]: I recommend this a ton the the lore in those books and there's a ton of stories.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, very well written too.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Yenari came to the table top and GW in all of the ways that they have broken.
[SPEAKER_03]: All the ways they've let Eldar play to their lower.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yenari is maybe the worst example of this.
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just tell, for people to know their game, be able to understand, the original rules for Yenari were the most broken that anything's ever been broken.
[SPEAKER_00]: So the original rules for Yenari were if something dies within seven inches of you, whether it be one of your units or your opponents, you got to activate
[SPEAKER_00]: and then shoot and or attack.
[SPEAKER_03]: We could move shoot or attack.
[SPEAKER_00]: Mo shoot or the three.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you set up your units, you could go, you killed me.
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll kill you.
[SPEAKER_00]: But then you have the little triangle formation.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: So then I kill the thing that killed my buddy.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I activate again.
[SPEAKER_00]: I table sparks on his bottom of one after I moved up to him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a bananas broken mechanic, and they nerfed it in numerous times.
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought story a little bit differently, but similarly.
[SPEAKER_03]: So effectively, there's a lot of warhammer's plays and tournaments, and the very large events, you know, we're winning effectively every single tournament.
[SPEAKER_03]: By winning, I mean, first place, second place, third place, fourth place, fifth place.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was just all you saw.
[SPEAKER_00]: The same list that we made was three of us at Elvio.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And at one point, GW just had enough.
[SPEAKER_03]: And this is after they actively removed the army.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they just removed their army from the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: They were like, OK, sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: People, you know, it's still there.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not.
[SPEAKER_03]: Every rule that you have is now in the garbage.
[SPEAKER_03]: Here's a new one that's, and it was totally worse than every other rule in the game.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was legitimately for three, the end of seven, the beginning of eighth and nine.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it moved a little bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: The worst was, ninth, you were fine.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was like a, it was maybe the second year of eighth.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was right at, basically, after they put in rule of three, there was no stopping it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, that's that.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, but let's talk about, so people will talk about, you know, the reason we're telling that story might seem to those who are lower people.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, why do you care?
[SPEAKER_03]: We tell that story because the unari storyline was incredible.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it was something developing as this kind of gameplay thing was happening.
[SPEAKER_03]: And at a certain point, there's such a bad taste in the mouth of players towards unari that my theory, I think Brad agrees with me, is that GW just kind of stepped away from my trap.
[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't finish it.
[SPEAKER_03]: because they were just, they couldn't finish it because there was such a bad taste towards Yenari because of what I thought was a hatred.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you know, no, it's all matter how you want to go at it, you know.
[SPEAKER_00]: So let's talk about the Yenari came about.
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Yenari, what it is, first off, it's a conglomeration of all elves, dark elves, pirates, craft rolled out their hardquins.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hardquins, yep.
[SPEAKER_00]: Any, basically, any Eldar came together under one banner.
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's actually a huge deal
[SPEAKER_00]: for the elder, because this has not happened in ten thousand years.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, let's not the Oregon.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this story is really good.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, and then we're going to give it as much justice as we came without having to read a book to you all live.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, during one of his like, say on, says in the, in the crap-related thing, the circuit, I'll tread felt a heartbeat coming from inside the infinity circuit.
[SPEAKER_03]: And he recognized, and the heartbeat couldn't speak to him, but it was there.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Eldrade, as we've discussed, is mildly intelligent.
[SPEAKER_03]: Unless he has to see the future something really important.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to screw this up in a minute.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldrade, you know, does that kind of that, you know, fantasy movie montage or something reading a bunch of books and trying to learn all this stuff there with the hell it was.
[SPEAKER_03]: He realizes
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the birth of a God.
[SPEAKER_03]: That this is much like House Linesh started as a whisper or the other cast got to begin as a whist.
[SPEAKER_03]: They begin as a small thing in game power.
[SPEAKER_03]: He realizes this is a God and it's a new God.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the God of the dead.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he also sees into the future.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he says, what again, elder, don't just see a future.
[SPEAKER_00]: They see possible all the possible outcomes.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he saw what could be for this.
[SPEAKER_00]: This new formed fledgling God of the get that for the elder.
[SPEAKER_00]: What it meant for the elder?
[SPEAKER_00]: What it meant for the galaxy?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And what it meant is the death of Slenex.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because the problem is the elder have this great idea of we're going to kill Slenex.
[SPEAKER_00]: But how do you kill Slenex?
[SPEAKER_00]: But then they go, things to do.
[SPEAKER_00]: Kill Slenex.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then underneath it says,
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, how?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Step one.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's step three, kill Slanesh.
[SPEAKER_03]: Step two, figure out how to kill Slanesh.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're really stuck in that step.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Step one, we, step one, want to kill Slanesh.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're there.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this is it.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is the solution.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to make our own God.
[SPEAKER_03]: But we're going to have to do this in a way.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Slanesh ripped apart the gods we had before.
[SPEAKER_03]: So we have to make a God who's on par with Slanesh.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, also we have to do this whole thing and not have the followers of slenish ruin our plan.
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, we need to gather forces to stop that from happening, which means that we have to have the greatest coalition of forces ever, ever, basically.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the first thing he has to figure out is a way to actually, how do I birth this God?
[SPEAKER_03]: And the LA talk, you know, the world's greatest craft world.
[SPEAKER_03]: They let them know they found something and again, there's some serious heavy this story's gonna sound dumber as we tell it because in the book it's really book when you what you tell later like okay Anyway, the LA talk have I had discovered a random moon the force move into our arms
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's not a fourth, but it's a crystal-world mode of end-door.
[SPEAKER_03]: So just on the edge of what used to be held our space, there is a world called Domestinist Demensis, something like that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I wrote it down here, but I'm looking at now, I may have this spelled it in the show notes.
[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's an imperial world.
[SPEAKER_03]: So who cares?
[SPEAKER_03]: But just outside that imperial world is a moon.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the moon is covered in a psychoactive scent.
[SPEAKER_03]: What that means, they don't really explain it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just effectively that at the birth.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gross.
[SPEAKER_00]: You just got spoiled.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's most likely the residue of of Eldar dying when Slon Ash was born and the eye of terror erupted.
[SPEAKER_00]: But they're going to they're going to collect and they're going to use it as an alchemist concoction to basically power up a ritual.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're going to focus the ritual through it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So Eldrade decides to use this planet as a focal point.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they don't explain how, so I'm just going to tell you this, I don't care, somehow they decide to focus all the craft world, all plural, craft worlds in sandy circuits toward this moon, and that by doing so, this channeling of all this death,
[SPEAKER_03]: to this psychoactive moon, will then create the alchemic event of birthing you need.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, neat.
[SPEAKER_03]: However, there's a small problem, as Brad mentioned.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, two problems.
[SPEAKER_03]: One, if Slonesh detects this, she's just going to come kill it right now.
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, you're kind of opening up the infinity circuit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_00]: Tushlanash.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is a big risk.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is oh, yeah, Eldrade.
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're wrong, you are killing all Eldor.
[SPEAKER_03]: To which Eldor I went.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm looking at that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Look at Eldor I went.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he is very confident.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's not his not lack confidence.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's just a look at why would that happen?
[SPEAKER_03]: This is going to work shut up.
[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, Eldrad and Eldar travel to the moon and they begin this ritual.
[SPEAKER_03]: And luckily, it's a complete success.
[SPEAKER_03]: You need as awakened and a kill slenish.
[SPEAKER_02]: Or not that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Or it all goes completely sideways.
[SPEAKER_03]: You guys can guess which way it was.
[SPEAKER_03]: So reality is that the moon is orbiting an imperial planet.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldrads got this great idea of like, well, look, if we're all on the moon doing a ritual, the Imperials are going to notice and then they could attack us.
[SPEAKER_03]: So what we should do is destroy that planet first, get the Imperials to counter attack.
[SPEAKER_00]: The row defense is something.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, oh, we're sure somebody says, not a, this isn't a high world.
[SPEAKER_03]: This isn't a forge world.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's basically a depot.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing of value there.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just a planet.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the L-DAR attack it with absolute force.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they wrecked the defenders who put out a distress call, which Eldra had planned.
[SPEAKER_03]: Eldra's idea was they'll put out a distress call, then the Imperium will come to defend the planet.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll fight them on the planet while we're doing our ritual up in the moon.
[SPEAKER_03]: And no one's the winner.
[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest look over here of all time.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is it.
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, I love Eldra.
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a terrible
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a terrible plant made worse by the fact that because it's an Eldar invasion, the Imperium sends the Death Watch, who understand the Eldar and namely this and watch Captain Artemis.
[SPEAKER_00]: Who's known for his ability to snipe out?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Elder.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is his thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's not, Artemis is not a fan of Elder anyway.
[SPEAKER_03]: Artemis gets there and just pretty quickly deduces that like, hey, this is bullshit.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is weird.
[SPEAKER_03]: These guys are attacking this planet, but there's an absolute ass ton of them off on that moon doing nothing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely nothing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think this is a ruse.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to the moon and in traditional GW writing, he just gets to the moon.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like nobody in her seeds and nobody stops.
[SPEAKER_03]: And not a problem.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is just, we have the most important thing the Eldar have ever done in the history of their race, effectively, is going on this moon.
[SPEAKER_03]: They've got craft world forces from most craft worlds, even Oothway, which was able to somehow leave the gravity well of the eye of terror here, per the use.
[SPEAKER_03]: There are harlequins there, everything, and Artemis and his dudes just kind of drive up, just drive like, oh,
[SPEAKER_03]: And look at it.
[SPEAKER_03]: No one's looking this way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, lands on the moon and begin just wrecking shop on the moon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Again, I said it before.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to say it again.
[SPEAKER_03]: The moon has harloquins on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It has aspect war has everyone on it and Artemis, no end is, it is death watch.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're just like thinking about it.
[SPEAKER_00]: As usual, though, does full of period stuff and just becomes a huge dick.
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't listen to anything.
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, let's tell the story and I'll take my take on it.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's so fine.
[SPEAKER_03]: There is a we're gonna come a Harley Quinn's in the near future.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a death jester, which is a big deal.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was kind of leading the forces on the moon for the Eldar.
[SPEAKER_03]: Artemis gets a hold of her and the death starts pleading with Artemis just saying look if you just were here we could kill a god of chaos.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to we're going to stop chaos and Artemis responds by shooting her in the head.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, this is, I think, written people read this in my opinion as, like, well, Artemis is a deck and what was in the reason.
[SPEAKER_03]: I always want to point out, Artemis got called here because the same Eldar just killed, I don't know, a million imperial citizens for no reason.
[SPEAKER_03]: It was a greater good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know what, we'll cover them pretty soon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Artemis is a little bit pissed.
[SPEAKER_03]: So this, of course, Ed, then, again, pure GW writing of, he kills the deaths just as the crescendo of the summoning is going to happen.
[SPEAKER_03]: And Blupe, Eldrade has to run away, and the ritual is sort of a failure, except it's not.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not because we get a chosen one of, you know, yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the you need, which is the God is formed, it's more form.
[SPEAKER_03]: But then start shooting through the galaxy as a beam of energy looking for somewhere to land and ends up going into the web way.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then we get the person with one of the most awesome resumes in L.D.R.
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, let's go through your braid.
[SPEAKER_03]: So now we're going to kind of jump the story a little bit to comma in the middle of a fighting pit and comma.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in that is a woman, a former BL tan warrior, which
[SPEAKER_00]: The best of the world is the aspect where the man she was a warlock.
[SPEAKER_00]: And then she joined a coarser fleet and then she ended up being a gladiator in which case she's and she's wrecking shop and she was in the she was fighting as a witch in the gladiator pants.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she was the the leader of the witch.
[SPEAKER_03]: What do they call second this is a sake bus.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's been
[SPEAKER_00]: just going buck wild in every aspect of life.
[SPEAKER_00]: She's like, I'd like to do some other wild adventure.
[SPEAKER_03]: And she's actually being set up to fight Lilith.
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith?
[SPEAKER_03]: Lilith
[SPEAKER_03]: And while fighting her, you know, this is like, this is, I think your range is like, fifty is battle in less twenty minutes.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, these fighting pets are a little bit rough.
[SPEAKER_03]: The more I hate stabs her.
[SPEAKER_03]: And as your brain is about to die, that's when you need finds her and just effectively possesses her.
[SPEAKER_03]: She jumps up.
[SPEAKER_03]: mildly wrecks of that priestess of Mariah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, then she just goes, I have a purpose in life.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is that she has the charisma of
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got a deep, you know, I mean, a powerful, I think I, it's at the time, it's a burgeoning God, you know, it's a demo I got, but she talks to people and they can see the God power effectively inside of her and she's not like, I am powerful, she's, I am birthing.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm birthing.
[SPEAKER_03]: And so you need escapes, comrade will cover this in the later cast, and then begins, goes in her galaxy wide quest to further the birth of unique.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, one of the key things that we didn't discuss, because I didn't have to put in the notes, I put it here, is when Eldred first discovers you need.
[SPEAKER_03]: He, the way that you need was supposed to kill Slenech, was
[SPEAKER_03]: Once every single LDAR died, all of them, and became part of the affinity circuit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Who was the last one?
[SPEAKER_03]: Who lobes the last one in?
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: My problem.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what the idea is, that's when you need, would come to full power, and that just like, we talked about the birthday chaos gods, with enough of death or enough, whatever fuels you, you then would birth.
[SPEAKER_03]: This, under this thing, you may be in the God of death, would actually not be
[SPEAKER_03]: then Eldar Guy, which is almost a sub-god, but would be a full-blown, like, chaos-level god would be born.
[SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, that system kind of sucks, and so you have rain says, well, we've got an option to be, and it's full-blown dungeons and dragons here.
[SPEAKER_03]: She goes on a quest to collect a bunch of swords.
[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't just, but she doesn't just collect swords at the crown swords, of course, but which rip through time and space, but and also her sword is a power sword.
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't give me started.
[SPEAKER_00]: Think about things that aren't lower, specific, but let your ring goes on an awesome D&D style adventure.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because she gets people from every single elder walk of life and more because she goes through curry.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's chicari, there's Harley Quinn's, there's craft world out there.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe there's Bobby G at some point in time here.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's possible.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's possible certain members of the Imperium got resurrected by this.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, by the god, the elder god of the dead.
[SPEAKER_00]: And she gets a full D&D party.
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you guys don't know D&D, you're not as excited to me, but like in this story,
[SPEAKER_00]: She gets a full D&D party.
[SPEAKER_03]: She raises.
[SPEAKER_03]: She creates the in car and when she pulls out of the event, he's circuit of the BL-Ten, which if he's circuit also get the model, it's freaking fantastic.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the closing the Sigma models we get.
[SPEAKER_03]: It is this the unary timeline gets nuts because they are it's it's incredible adventure she's interacting with most of the races in the galaxy and wrecking shop actually through a lot of them
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, she's awesome.
[SPEAKER_00]: Bobby G becomes way cooler, Bobby G. Mm-hmm.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then we were going to cover more of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll let her watch.
[SPEAKER_03]: We have to do some Drew Carrey and Gilman to really explain kind of what's we did.
[SPEAKER_00]: We did want to drop it in here.
[SPEAKER_00]: So we talked a lot about how we want to end today.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to touch on one of my favorite storylines and try it and also everybody's a lot of times we get
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, what should we read?
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like what should we go?
[SPEAKER_00]: The gathering storm books, and we have several novels.
[SPEAKER_03]: One hundred percent should read them.
[SPEAKER_03]: And if you don't feel like reading that, just pull the code access.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you've got to read the gathering stories.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: One I agree about, I'm saying, but you're not read, but you're not the elder code x, eighth edition, ninth edition, tenth edition.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is, is that they just,
[SPEAKER_00]: This whole storyline is fantastic.
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, we're cutting it.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're literally dropping it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we're cutting it because the reason why we're going to cut it right now is is I want to give you guys more, but in order to even more, I think it's your car at first because I was real that is a key part of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: So is, uh, his trays are.
[SPEAKER_03]: And without them, it's.
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're massive to this.
[SPEAKER_03]: Gilliman, we can probably cover quickly of like, Gilliman got stabbed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Gilliman died.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, Gilliman's alive.
[SPEAKER_03]: But with that, we're going to cut the Eldar coverage.
[SPEAKER_03]: Next week, we're going to cast out.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what we're going to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to jump into custodian guard.
[SPEAKER_03]: We need to, they're, they're moving the story forward.
[SPEAKER_03]: We're trying to move quickly as quickly as we can to kind of get the basics so we can dive a bit more into some of the more deeper lore and custodians are a really cold element of the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think we've told enough about the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_03]: We can have a lot more fun.
[SPEAKER_00]: The only tool Lord of Terra.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and we can also discuss like actually it's a fun back to back from Eldar because we're going from the only faction in the game whose table top rules have matched the lore and we're going to jump into the faction game whose table top words.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think they're effectively like, but I thought they were perfect.
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[SPEAKER_00]: Single heroes could take on entire companies.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're actually worse than the terminators.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, by far.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the club's Lord Hable.
[SPEAKER_03]: But with that, it's been John Barsati and Brad Chester.
[SPEAKER_03]: See you guys next week.
