00:00:00 Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous. It's Lala Kent. Welcome to Untraditionally, Lala. Hello gorgeous. It is Lala can Welcome to the bonus episode of Untraditionally Lala. I am still here with Emma Hernon. Hello Gorgeous. So we have a fan question. They want to know the backstory of the ring that was shown on the show. 00:00:21 Speaker 2: Oh, oh my god, it was beautiful. It was like, ugh, it was yellow as a Canari ring. Oh and it was gorgeous and. 00:00:28 Speaker 1: Yeah, they brought it out and I was like, oh wow, this is stunning. Yeah, it was two million dollars. How big was it? Do you know? I think it was ten carrots? Ten care? I think it was ten ten something like that. Was it so heavy or were you like this? It wasn't that. It actually wasn't that heavy. It was an airy Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't It wasn't that heavy. But it was stunning. It was massive and it was stunning. Yeah, it was two million dollars. I can't believe. Can I tell you? That is like my dream to try on a two million dollar ring. Go into Jason's of Beverly. I also put it on you. Oh I can't wait. 00:01:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, he totally. He could bring me stuff out. I was like, oh my god, these are all stunning. 00:01:05 Speaker 1: But yeah, that was a what's your like dream? If you could pick out, like what your engagement ring would look like? Oh for sure Oval. 00:01:14 Speaker 2: I don't know, I've always loved Oval. I think it like looks good. I have long fingers. I don't know, I think it looks you do as long as mine. Yeah, so I think Oval for sure Oval. 00:01:23 Speaker 1: And then do you have like a max carrot or you like just give me the biggest ring. I mean definitely not a Max carrot. I have maybe a min Carrot's. 00:01:31 Speaker 2: I mean I would say probably like men, I don't know, like five to eight really, so. 00:01:40 Speaker 1: I actually do. But I could buy my own ring, so like I'm fine, Like it's like the sentiment behind it, yeah, like okay, that's fine. 00:01:47 Speaker 2: You need I'll like send a wire to your bank account, but like I want a nice ring. 00:01:51 Speaker 1: I fucking love you're you're a badass. I do have a max on carrot, okay, because I find that when you reach a certain carot, anything beyond that it can look very fake. 00:02:03 Speaker 2: Yeah that is true. So I'm I'm a max eight. Oh okay, but that's a great number. Yeah, gorgeous. 00:02:09 Speaker 1: Great. Yeah. How much of the show is real? The friendships, fights, real estate. 00:02:15 Speaker 2: I mean, I would say so it's real, like in the sense where like I mean, the fights, the arguments like those are all real. But like, would we all be seated together at a dinner like that? Probably not right because like typically if you're fighting. 00:02:28 Speaker 1: With someone, you're not going to go around them, like there's no need to have like ooh, Like, would I've really talked to Nicole about what she did to me? Now? You avoid her at all costs? Are you kidding me? 00:02:38 Speaker 2: Like, I think you're evil. I think you're a loser. I think that you had nothing better to talk about than me. So no, I would never sit down with you. But did I do it for the show? Sure, I'll sit down and be like, you were completely wrong and what you did. Now she can't apologize to save her life with anything, so it was pointless. But I did it for the show. 00:02:57 Speaker 1: What I mean? 00:02:57 Speaker 2: So, like, I really do think she's an awful person. I really do think it was completely messed up what she did. So I sat down with her and told her. But if it wasn't for the show, I would have never sat down with her. I totally better things to do. 00:03:08 Speaker 1: I would much rather be with my family in Boston or on a vacation or on a beach somewhere. No, I don't want to sit down with you. Yeah. Well again, And we talked about this on the regular episode where it's like this is ultimately yes, it's real life, but ultimately it's entertainment for people, and there's a story that has to be followed, which is why it's a produced show. Yeah. So I agree with you because so many people ask me, like, what's real, and I'm like, yeah, it is real. If I were in this situation, this is how I would react without a camera, though, I would avoid this person at all. Comes exactly exactly. 00:03:40 Speaker 2: That is the thing, Like that is the point, Like even not just like with my stuff, but like okay, say Chelsea and Brie or Chelsea and Mary, everyone that's fighting or whatever it is. No, they're not going to sit down in a normal setting, they're not going to get together. 00:03:53 Speaker 1: To hash it out now. But we're on a show, so guess what the audience wants to see. So you're fucking welcome. Yes, exactly, No, for sure. Who are you currently closest with on the cast? You know who I actually. 00:04:06 Speaker 2: Started forming like a really cool friendship with was Alana. Really yeah, I mean, look at Chelsea, no matter what, we'll always like just have a special place in my heart, so like always, But I started to spend a little bit more time with Alana, who you know, she isn't wasn't quite as on the center of the show as but I invited her to this woman's dinner that I threw and like she was super grateful and thankful. 00:04:32 Speaker 1: And then we've been hiking and stuff. So I really haven't been in La much. I've been traveling with the family and stuff like that. So I've been busy and out of the loop. 00:04:40 Speaker 2: But Jason and Brett are always like my big brothers. I mean, to be honest with you, I'm fairly close with everyone. 00:04:45 Speaker 1: I don't really have obviously at a falling out with Krishelle and stuff like that. But besides that, you know, yeah, you keep in touch. It's really hard like as you get older, I've noticed the friendships that I'm searching for are the ones where if we go that I don't have to text you back all the time, and if we go a month without seeing each other that we can pick up where we left off exactly, because at this point everyone's getting older. People are starting families, people are in relationships, people have businesses. You can't dump your time into a friendship like you could when you were in your twenties. No, for sure. I'm also a really bad text I'm the worst. I'm so bad. I don't text me on the phone. Let's just get there like a bad I know I am bad. It just it just comes along with age and having like your priorities shift. 00:05:36 Speaker 2: Yeah, or like if I don't know the answer, Like if you're asking me like a time for something and I don't know it right then and there, I open the message and then I click out of it because I hate the notifications, and then I forget. 00:05:44 Speaker 1: To go back. I always mentally respond to people. 00:05:47 Speaker 2: Me too, me too, Oh my gosh. Sound like the cutest mental message, but it doesn't come through. 00:05:52 Speaker 1: It doesn't. It makes what is your skincare routine? Oh? I love skincare. Oh my god, that's like my favorite topic ever. So funny. It is like I actually never washed my face, which was like disturbing until I was like, twenty was it like twenty seven? What you have such gorgeous? My mom like never? My mom still has never, So like I do feel like if your parent teaches you to wash your face, you wash it and if they don't. But like I remember when I first started dating my ex that I was engaged to, He's like, oh, do you want to wash up for bed? I was like, so I'm ready for bed and. 00:06:26 Speaker 2: With full lam on, with full lam on, girl, I was the most anxiety I've. 00:06:30 Speaker 1: Ever find out white sheets. I know, no, I'm telling you. 00:06:34 Speaker 2: I would get my makeup done just to go out at night, and like I would get like two days out of it. 00:06:39 Speaker 1: Oh nom, I'm I'm dying and about to pass away. Now I know now that I have like a crazy skin caroutine. 00:06:47 Speaker 2: I was like, what was wrong with me? Like I actually had a mental problem. 00:06:52 Speaker 1: But I realized my mom never taught me to wash my face. She still doesn't wash her face. So she comes out to visit me. I'm like, Mom, you need to wash your make go and talk to your mama. I know we do, we do. She created that, but I do. And now I'm super ocd. I've been putting basoline around my eyes since I was probably six because of my mom talking to me about a skincareer. She taught you there we go. I love my mom, but she didn't teach me that. Have you tried the pink mask by Metacube? No, but I would try. I love anything. Girl. It's like thirty bucks maybe for four and the way it should be five hundred dollars really for one. Oh yeah, okay, you gotta get it. Okay, okay, no love. I love skincare like a gel mask. It's known as like the Haley Baber mass. Oh I think I've heard of this. You gotta try it? Okay, yeah, no, Now I'm like OCD Cleanser Toner. 00:07:41 Speaker 2: I love like doctor Barbara Sturm, you know. Oh yeah, that's like, oh that's your go too. 00:07:45 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's my go to. But oh my god, I love skincare now. Yeah. I just had to be honest. You know. It started a little later in life. That's okay, Hey, it doesn't show at all because makeup is so drying for your skin. It is. Yeah, no, it really is. Girl. You got lucky. Those are good jeans, I know. Thank you should be shriveled up. Seriously, I should have a little raisin for sure. At Raisin. What is your favorite vegan food besides your empanadas? Shit, I was gonna say my ampanadas. 00:08:14 Speaker 2: Okay, Well I used to love this vegan pizza that Nicks at Beverly Hill or you know that restaurant Nicks. Okay, they had the best vegan pizza. Everything that they had was amazing. Are you vegan? 00:08:25 Speaker 1: No, I'm pescatarian. Pescatarians just the fishy fish, the fish. Yeah, I gotta get them oils. In advice for someone wanting to get into real estate, I mean, do it today. I feel like everyone tries to procrastinate and be like, oh, I'll get my license or I'll study this so I'll get my books. Nope, do it today. So funny story when I first moved to LA and I like it was not hitting. I was like, this place is the worst place I've ever been. And so I moved back to you taught to live like a normal life, and I was like enrolled in SLICK, which is solid community college, and I attempted to get my real estate license, and I would listen to the online classes but not pay attention. I'd turn the volume all the way down. I'm like, how hard could it be? I took the test like seven times and ever passed. I was like, fuck this, I'm going back to LA that seems way easier. Oh my god, this is hard. No, it is. 00:09:23 Speaker 2: I do you know how many people I have so many girlfriends that I have been trying to take the test. 00:09:26 Speaker 1: For like two three years. Did you pass first time? I did? Of course I did well. I did. But to be honest with you, I always give people this advice too, like I did I didn't read all the books. I'll probably get trouble for. 00:09:37 Speaker 2: Saying that I did not, because I feel like it's an overload of information. So actually, like I went through and I did all the quizzes and then for the test, it was like one hundred questions, So I basically studied all the questions and then learned all the because a lot of it is like what year did lead pain, like random things like you don't even really write, So it's not really necessarily because I do feel like when you're out actually in the real estate market, you really learn what you need to know. Same with like business, you know what I mean, Like if you're so I thought that was, like, just give me the license and we'll learn as I go. 00:10:08 Speaker 1: Exactly my hands on learner. No exactly, so I basically like reverse quiz myself. 00:10:12 Speaker 2: I did like flash cards and all that, but I did pass the first time. 00:10:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, now you know everything, yeausually been in it? No, for sure. I love that advice, though, start today, don't procrastinate. Yeah. Who sells the most houses from the O group in La Well. 00:10:27 Speaker 2: Definitely Jason, but he also like puts his name on a lot of our stuff. But for the girls, I mean, I definitely feel like I'm up there. 00:10:35 Speaker 1: For sure. 00:10:36 Speaker 2: Mary has sold a lot of real estate. Yeah, so I feel like Mary's up there. I'm up there. Wow, Yeah I love that. 00:10:44 Speaker 1: Yeah. Of course the boys are going to be selling the most. Yeah, exactly, exactly exactly like you said, they can throw their name on anything. Yeah. What is your status with Christine Quinn? Oh there's no relationship there. Yeah we know. We never had a relationship though. Yeah. What season did she leave? I think six because she had a tough breakup, right she. 00:11:05 Speaker 2: Had she left six? Yeah, I mean I have no like it is it's been so many years. 00:11:09 Speaker 1: I have no problem with You're like over it, but you don't run in the same suit. 00:11:12 Speaker 2: No, I don't even think she lives in La so it's not like I would run into her anything. But I'm ninety percent sure she left six because I think she. 00:11:18 Speaker 1: Was there five. 00:11:19 Speaker 2: Yeah, because okay, yeah, because Chelsea came on five and then she wasn't there six. Okay because six with palm springs with a big blowout with Nicole and Krashelle. So yeah, I'm like, that's how you track life, that's yeah, I try. 00:11:32 Speaker 1: Remember which season with what which would blowout? Yeah. What can fans expect from this season that differs from the past seasons? 00:11:41 Speaker 2: Well, I think the whole like a lot of the friendship and the dynamics and everything like that is com totally like for so many different reasons and ways, and just like you know, your average friendships are not there anymore, and. 00:11:55 Speaker 1: Yeah, which relations and people are so invested in the friendships it's actually sad, audience member, right, it really is. For sure. Do the ladies even work in the office when not filming? Like do they go in Yeah? Yeah, not not not all of them. 00:12:10 Speaker 2: And definitely like there are certain days where like, okay, there are certain days when we're filming where you see like I don't know, say, like Chelsea, Mary Bree Krashelle myself. 00:12:20 Speaker 1: That's like a full cast. 00:12:21 Speaker 2: Like okay, obviously that's not every day, but everyone kind of pops in and out, you know, throughout like if they need to, if they need to have a meeting there or whatever. 00:12:29 Speaker 1: You know, it's a gorgeous office, it is. 00:12:31 Speaker 2: It is funny you're in five minutes from the office, so like you just do a little popping exactly exactly. 00:12:36 Speaker 1: And are people always outside like peeking through the windows and taking pictures a lot of the times? Like always? Is it like most of the places you go, you you have to be recognized each time, right at least once? Oh? Yeah, no, it's like it's you know what it is. 00:12:52 Speaker 2: A lot of people follow me into bathrooms, which I always. 00:12:55 Speaker 1: Say, I love to follow into a bathroom, don't do don't you have that too? Yes? I'm like, why are we in here? Recent lighting? And my God'm good? That's like the okay, that's like the one thing like I actually might rather have you come up to me well when I'm eating than in the bathroom. Yeah, you know, like I'm like, you're doing a selfie there's a toilet in the background might be weird. You know, please don't tag me. Yeah, yeah, yeah exactly. You know, like some sometimes the bathroom lighting is good, but sometimes it is not good, like you do. Sometimes it's very oh my god, I look like this. Most of the time. I don't get glammed up unless there's me neither. 00:13:28 Speaker 2: No, no, no, me neither. Let me just assure you that I will. I'm like full rat mode majority of the time. 00:13:33 Speaker 1: The only time I'm glammed is if you have a big body HD camera on me. Other than that, like hello, as good as it gets, no exactly, but yeah, no, it's crazy because like even I go to London, I go to Bahamas, I oh, I'm like, everyone is like, I mean the world the show is a big show, you know, and I guess that's massive. I didn't realize that when I first joined. I had no idea. I know, I'm sure. It was like a shock. It was a shock that people are obsessed with you guys. Yeah, what other reality show would you go on? So? Oh, I mean, I don't think I would go on any after going on this one. Do you watch Beverly Hills or like like any of the Real Housewives. 00:14:09 Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I watch them. Well, I don't know if I would necessarily go on as it is. I feel like I'm overwhelmed by my show, Like. 00:14:16 Speaker 1: Oh god, so you're good, you're just a selling sunset. What about like a competition show, like a Traders or something. Would you ever do that? 00:14:23 Speaker 2: I would do like Dancing with the Stars or something. Not that I can dance, but I think that's grueling, by the way. Yeah, I feel like I would do that, But like, I don't know, Traders. I feel like I would not have an. 00:14:35 Speaker 1: I'm like, I'd be calling my mom. I'd just sneak a bone and be like, Mom, I. 00:14:39 Speaker 2: Want to leave, get me out of sleepovers in like middle school or anything. 00:14:43 Speaker 1: I was such a baby. I was, I know, and you're gone a while and we have contact exactly, no, no, no. 00:14:48 Speaker 2: I had a code word for my mom. It was hercules. I'm not gonna lie. I'd sneak it into a sentence and then she'd come get me and re act. 00:14:55 Speaker 1: We're just watching her cue they put hercules on. She's like, I'm coming. I'm such a baby. If she never told anyone that such a baby, Yeah, Yeah, I had so much fun with you. Thank you for sticking around. You're amazing you guys. You can watch all of Selling Sunset season nine on Netflix.
