<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, Welcome to Games Mornings with Me Jeff Grubb, <v Speaker 1>your host from GiantBomb dot com. <v Speaker 2>Thank you for tuning in. <v Speaker 1>In this episode, we're going to be talking about the <v Speaker 1>release state for an anticipated sci fi racing game and <v Speaker 1>reviews for Invincible Verses. It's gonna be a good one <v Speaker 1>because we have Sean Turbo Sean McDowell on the show. <v Speaker 2>Sean, how are you doing. <v Speaker 3>I'm doing good, Jeff. I'm happy to be on for <v Speaker 3>no reason in particular, certainly not to talk about any <v Speaker 3>of the headlines of today. But how the hell are <v Speaker 3>you doing, Jeff? <v Speaker 2>I'm up and down. <v Speaker 1>It was I thought I was feeling better, and then <v Speaker 1>like a lot of that must have been the ibuprofen <v Speaker 1>because it wore off, and the flow nays wore off, <v Speaker 1>and it kind of all just hit me at night <v Speaker 1>and then nothing was working again. So I just couldn't <v Speaker 1>sleep last night, and mostly because of the cold. <v Speaker 2>But man, I got to be getting over it soon. <v Speaker 1>I did go to the doctor just say, hey, this <v Speaker 1>is not like an ear infection or something, right, I <v Speaker 1>don't need Andrew Bob, and it's like, no, it's just <v Speaker 1>a it's a viral thing. It should clear up here <v Speaker 1>pretty soon, so hopefully we're almost there. I bet getting <v Speaker 1>some sleep would have helped with that, but you know, <v Speaker 1>fuck me, I guess I don't know. <v Speaker 2>But that doesn't matter. <v Speaker 1>I'm doing great, Sean, because we've got cool stuff happening <v Speaker 1>on the website. There is the Double O seven preview happening. <v Speaker 1>People should go check that out right now on GiantBomb <v Speaker 1>dot com. Jan got a good look at it. He <v Speaker 1>talked Backlore about it, and I don't know, Jan sounds <v Speaker 1>pretty positive. I'm kind of I'm really looking forward to <v Speaker 1>this game now, Sean. <v Speaker 3>If only Jan we're here to tell us what he <v Speaker 3>thinks about a little bit here at the top of <v Speaker 3>the show. <v Speaker 1>You know, uh, it's like if you mixed Uncharted with <v Speaker 1>Hitman and it's good. <v Speaker 2>And yeah, that sounds good. James Bond, very swaggy, they're. <v Speaker 1>Pulling off the character. Okay, That's That's why I was <v Speaker 1>wondering about that. You know, I kind of felt similar <v Speaker 1>to him the way I felt this James Bond for <v Speaker 1>this game, how I felt about cal Kestis before that <v Speaker 1>game came out. Or I'm like, ah, this guy looks <v Speaker 1>so bland, but I'm hearing swaggy. That seems pretty good. <v Speaker 1>So I'll play for myself and I'll see. But there's <v Speaker 1>other stuff happening on the site. A review for Invincible <v Speaker 1>Verses went up, written by Shinwe mcdull. <v Speaker 3>You've always been so bad with Irish names, Jeff, I <v Speaker 3>don't float. <v Speaker 2>It, Sean, You wrote a review? What's that all about? <v Speaker 3>I did. I wrote a review for Invincible Verses, my <v Speaker 3>first writ review, I realized, says. I was getting it <v Speaker 3>up on site with Chuck this morning. He asked me <v Speaker 3>if this was my first one. I think he meant <v Speaker 3>that giant bomb that was my first professional review ever. Actually, <v Speaker 3>so yeah, I felt the need to do a written <v Speaker 3>review for this one. I usually like to talk with <v Speaker 3>y'all on the review cast. That's something that I've been <v Speaker 3>pushing for a little bit more, along with a couple <v Speaker 3>of people on staff, because I like that for man. <v Speaker 3>But this is an important game to me, so I <v Speaker 3>did want to do a WRIN review because this is <v Speaker 3>sort of the spiritual success or a killer Instincts of <v Speaker 3>the team that was at Double Heat Alix went on <v Speaker 3>to make quarter up and then now they are over <v Speaker 3>there and they made Invincible Verses and it's very much <v Speaker 3>a fighting game community efforts. I know there's like people, <v Speaker 3>you know, FGC folks came in as employees and testers, <v Speaker 3>like a rip from the tech and scene he worked <v Speaker 3>on the game. Maximilian and Justin Wong tested it there <v Speaker 3>in the credits, I saw their names, and I really <v Speaker 3>wanted to get a review out there for people because <v Speaker 3>I did have a lot to say about this game. <v Speaker 3>I gave it three and a half stars. If you <v Speaker 3>have a problem with the half, start taking up with <v Speaker 3>Dan Record. I use his review system. But you know, <v Speaker 3>because that in my head is a good not great game, <v Speaker 3>And I think I say in my review Invincible Versus <v Speaker 3>is two halves of an uneven whole because the fighting <v Speaker 3>game that's there, the core fighting game, is super super fun. <v Speaker 3>It is an accessible version of Marvel Versus Capcom. They've <v Speaker 3>because of the lineage of the studio, they've added some <v Speaker 3>killer instinct iss in there, like the combo meter that <v Speaker 3>when a person is doing combo to you, they have <v Speaker 3>to be careful not to do too long of a combo. <v Speaker 3>They have to sort of cash it out before the <v Speaker 3>meter fills up, otherwise you fall out of the combo. <v Speaker 3>That's to keep it from you know, if you see <v Speaker 3>Marvel versus capcom at high level, you sit there for <v Speaker 3>like a minute watching a combo happen, right, and that <v Speaker 3>can feel bad to be on the receiving end of No, <v Speaker 3>there's stuff like that in there to make sure that <v Speaker 3>doesn't happen too much. There's a bunch of defensive options, like, <v Speaker 3>for example, when there's a counter tags where the opponent <v Speaker 3>calls in a tag to like extend their combo, you <v Speaker 3>can like parry the tag and that's a really satisfying <v Speaker 3>feeling because if you hit a crazy yeah, you cancel <v Speaker 3>out the combo and you like sort of reset to neutral. <v Speaker 3>There's some again so most killer instinct isms in there <v Speaker 3>to keep it feeling like there's a two way street <v Speaker 3>in a tag team fighting game. So yeah, it's more <v Speaker 3>accessible in that formula it has ever been. And I <v Speaker 3>had a blast playing it, you know, by myself. I <v Speaker 3>played with Mike a little bin the review period. I <v Speaker 3>had a friend over so we could test local versus. <v Speaker 3>Had a blast. However, the single player modes very lacking. <v Speaker 3>There's a cinematic story mode kind of another realm style, <v Speaker 3>you know, big flashy cut scenes. They are beautifully animated. <v Speaker 3>It looks very Spider Verse and I think it looks <v Speaker 3>great and fights in between these cutscenes. But Jeff, when <v Speaker 3>they said that it's like playing an episode of the show, <v Speaker 3>it's like playing an episode of the show. They made <v Speaker 3>twenty five minutes of animation for this basically an episode. <v Speaker 3>Oh sure, And yeah, so including fights, the storybod is <v Speaker 3>like an hour long, and it's poorly written too. It's <v Speaker 3>the fighting game classic of there's a big misunderstanding and <v Speaker 3>now we have to fight each other. And yeah, so <v Speaker 3>it's a bad episode of the show and it's short. <v Speaker 3>And then the only other single player mode is to <v Speaker 3>do the arcade ladders, which have endings that are disappointing. <v Speaker 3>So if you're a casual fan, is a tough recommendation. <v Speaker 3>It's really for people who are already into Tag Fighters. <v Speaker 3>If you're into Killer Instinct, I'll see also worth a look, <v Speaker 3>or people who want to get into Tag Fighters, because <v Speaker 3>the most accessible that's ever been. It's like, it's so <v Speaker 3>funny for this game to come out now, because the <v Speaker 3>fighting game community just had this whole conversation for weeks <v Speaker 3>about our fighting game's good products. Yeah, you know, someone <v Speaker 3>put out a blog post after see said it was <v Speaker 3>an article and everyone made YouTube videos on it. I <v Speaker 3>read that blog book, Deef. I don't know if you've <v Speaker 3>ever seen the Chris who describes the DHC glitch and <v Speaker 3>Marvel three classic YouTube video, but the summary is he goes, <v Speaker 3>so you do a combo into another combo, and then <v Speaker 3>that combo is not actually a combo, but that combo <v Speaker 3>still a combo. You understand what I'm saying. I don't know, <v Speaker 3>did you just say? That? Was me reading that blog post? <v Speaker 3>But irrelevant because the conversation always had is our fighting games, <v Speaker 3>good proguts. It got everybody talking. And then this game <v Speaker 3>comes out and is a fighting games playing game, but yeah, <v Speaker 3>it's a maybe not the best product at fifty dollars. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's it sounds like the exact worst case scenario <v Speaker 1>for the person. I remember the people I remember seeing <v Speaker 1>when this game was announced, where it's like, we don't <v Speaker 1>want this, we want a real video game, and I was. <v Speaker 2>Like, shut up, fighting games. You gotta just get good. <v Speaker 2>Shut up. <v Speaker 1>And then it's like, well, okay, you get on the <v Speaker 1>other side, you get here, and it's like, yeah, all <v Speaker 1>those fears you had about this game not being able <v Speaker 1>to satisfy your desires as one when they go in <v Speaker 1>here and playing as a single player a game that <v Speaker 1>kind of tells a story. Yeah, you were right to <v Speaker 1>be fearful of all that stuff. It is bad. <v Speaker 2>Uh, but do you want to play a fighting game? <v Speaker 1>And then they all know? So, yeah, I get it. <v Speaker 1>But man, it's I'm glad to hear that. It's kind <v Speaker 1>it's carrying that killer instinct a vibe forward. That was <v Speaker 1>one of those games where it's like, I very casual <v Speaker 1>in the fight games, but there's ones where I'm like, <v Speaker 1>I noticed the general characteristic here of like the recent <v Speaker 1>tech In game where it really does feel like you <v Speaker 1>are straight up taking turns kind of just hurting each. <v Speaker 2>Other, which is you know that that there are there's <v Speaker 2>a space for. <v Speaker 1>That, and there's you know, you just got to get <v Speaker 1>good at stopping stuff from happening. <v Speaker 3>Sure people don't like that, though, I will say competitively <v Speaker 3>people hate that tech In eight. You watch a como <v Speaker 3>for ten seconds and then it's like you guess, and <v Speaker 3>if you guess wrong, you watch another ten second compo, right. <v Speaker 1>Exactly, So having like stuff built in to mitigate that <v Speaker 1>a little bit and to think about it. <v Speaker 2>At least, that's right exciting to hear. I'm going to <v Speaker 2>play this. <v Speaker 1>I like Invincible a lot of the comic especially the <v Speaker 1>show's pretty good, often often very good. So yeah, I'll <v Speaker 1>check this out and I will be prepared to be <v Speaker 1>disappointed by the single player. We'll talk a little bit <v Speaker 1>more about the reviews here in a second, but let's <v Speaker 1>let's get to that point and let's explain ourselves. We're <v Speaker 1>Giant Bomb, we're independent games media support us go to <v Speaker 1>giant bomb dot com. So let's join and become a <v Speaker 1>premium member. Now is the time to do it. You can also catch <v Speaker 1>the show later with chapters and timestamps on YouTube. <v Speaker 2>Hello YouTube. All right, we have a. <v Speaker 1>Lot to get into, so let's start the morning mess <v Speaker 1>with those invincible versus reviews. I think it was a <v Speaker 1>seventy nine on Open Critic. I didn't see anything on <v Speaker 1>Metacritic yet, but when I last checked seventy nine on. <v Speaker 3>It's seventy seven on metacrek. It's as more reviews are <v Speaker 3>coming in, it's dropping a little bit because there are <v Speaker 3>a lot of seven out of tens. <v Speaker 1>Yes, there's a lot of seven out of tens, is <v Speaker 1>what I was going to say, exactly, Sean where it's <v Speaker 1>not necessarily one of those ones where there's a ton <v Speaker 1>of spread. There's a lot of people who are just <v Speaker 1>kind of dialing in and that three point five stars <v Speaker 1>or seven out of ten and. <v Speaker 3>Mostly sevens and eighth. There are some liars I saw <v Speaker 3>like six, I saw a nine or two. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, but you know, the bell curve is definitely <v Speaker 1>very heavy in the middle on those sevens. <v Speaker 2>Three point five stars from you. <v Speaker 1>It's got an eight point five out of ten from <v Speaker 1>Cody Medlin at Worth Playing, who says Invincible Versus ends <v Speaker 1>up being a very solid three v three. <v Speaker 2>Tag team fighting game. <v Speaker 1>The fighting system is familiar but solid, and even though <v Speaker 1>it doesn't offer anything revolutionary over other tag fighters, its <v Speaker 1>accessibility ensures that players of all skill levels will immediately <v Speaker 1>be able to have fun. The mode selection is small <v Speaker 1>but provides a good amount of entertainment thanks to the <v Speaker 1>brutality of each fight and the number of unlockables. With <v Speaker 1>a solid presentation behind it, Invincible Versus is a very <v Speaker 1>enjoyable fighting game for fans of the show and genre alike. <v Speaker 2>We got it Everybody. <v Speaker 1>Seven out of ten from Luis Joshua Goudierez at tech Raftor, <v Speaker 1>who says Invincible Versus doesn't have a steep learning curve <v Speaker 1>like many fighting games in the genre, but it is <v Speaker 1>easy to pick up and understand even if it's even <v Speaker 1>if that's to a fault yeah, so I mean, what <v Speaker 1>do you think the fate is for this game? What <v Speaker 1>does they even mean for fighting games these days? <v Speaker 2>Sean. <v Speaker 3>See, that's the funny thing because when it's more about <v Speaker 3>the future of development of the game is what these <v Speaker 3>early sales mean, and it's what the single player of content, <v Speaker 3>you know, getting out there to a casual audience, because <v Speaker 3>that's most people who play a fighting game, they just <v Speaker 3>play a single player stuff like by the numbers, like <v Speaker 3>we saw that with Street Fighters six. The Steam numbers <v Speaker 3>were always huge, but not because of the online because <v Speaker 3>people were hanging out in World two mode, And so <v Speaker 3>I think that's bring it back to the whole product <v Speaker 3>thing again. That's what you need nowadays is something like <v Speaker 3>that World Tour mone Street Fire six sec in eight, <v Speaker 3>having like a lengthier story mode and like a smaller <v Speaker 3>one on top of that. Needs some kind of hook <v Speaker 3>to keep people there because after all that said and done, <v Speaker 3>everyone just hits online or drops the game one or <v Speaker 3>the other, and so with very little single pair of content, <v Speaker 3>I think a lot of peopletgage romp the game. But <v Speaker 3>I really hope that a like competitive scene rises up <v Speaker 3>around this game because it is very fun to play competitively. <v Speaker 3>It might even end up being like Killer Instinct, which <v Speaker 3>had a pretty big casual audience, and then you know, <v Speaker 3>the competitive audience sort of funneled, but they stayed with <v Speaker 3>it for a very long time. <v Speaker 2>Still very long tail competitions for sure. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, a Combo Breaker still gets like a couple hundred <v Speaker 3>people competing in it, and that's like a thirteen year <v Speaker 3>old game. That's that's super cool. I fear that might <v Speaker 3>be the case with Invincible, which is not what you <v Speaker 3>want when you have like a pre major and mainstream IP. <v Speaker 3>I think it was just a little bit misguided to <v Speaker 3>focus on that competitive nature rather than r you know, <v Speaker 3>it's probably a publisher decision to not necessarily get the <v Speaker 3>budget and time that I needed to have a bigger <v Speaker 3>single player mode, which I think is what you know, <v Speaker 3>fans of the show who want to come in and <v Speaker 3>get more Invincible would have liked this absolutely. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's move on to the next story here. <v Speaker 1>PlayStation finally explains that thirty day timer for digital games, <v Speaker 1>says it's only a one time check. It's there's still <v Speaker 1>some questions around it, but they are now acknowledging it. <v Speaker 2>This is the maybe the end of this saga. <v Speaker 1>We've kind of touched on this story almost every day <v Speaker 1>for the last week, Like I said, Chris culling of <v Speaker 1>VGC rights. After days of speculation and theorizing, Sony has <v Speaker 1>finally released a statement about the thirty day timers on <v Speaker 1>new digital game purchases on PS four and PS five. <v Speaker 1>Earlier this week, it was reported that the new version <v Speaker 1>thirteen point twenty update for the PlayStation five console appeared <v Speaker 1>to have also brought with it a form of digital <v Speaker 1>rights management in which digitally purchased games have to be verified. <v Speaker 1>The theory tested by numerous YouTube channels was that any <v Speaker 1>digital game purchased on or after a certain date appeared <v Speaker 1>to have a thirty daytimer applied, suggesting that the player. <v Speaker 1>If the player didn't play the game for thirty days, <v Speaker 1>they would have to connect their console online to renew <v Speaker 1>the license and reset the timer to thirty days again. <v Speaker 1>When the players started reporting that the timers were disappearing, <v Speaker 1>a new theory emerged that the thirty day timer was <v Speaker 1>only a temporary one to avoid pirates using refund exploits, <v Speaker 1>and that the license would become permanent after fourteen days. <v Speaker 1>Now Sony is officially confirmed that players don't have to <v Speaker 1>verify the game games every thirty days, and that the <v Speaker 1>initial timer is indeed a one off check. <v Speaker 2>Here's how they explain it. <v Speaker 1>Players can continue to access and play their purchase games <v Speaker 1>as usual. <v Speaker 2>A spokesperson for PlayStation told. <v Speaker 1>Game File a one time online check is required after <v Speaker 1>purchase to confirm the game's a license, after which no <v Speaker 1>further check ins are needed. Well, the spokesperson didn't go <v Speaker 1>into details on exactly why the online. <v Speaker 2>Check has been added. <v Speaker 1>The most popular current theory is that it prevents pirates <v Speaker 1>from making use of an exploit in PlayStation's refund system. <v Speaker 2>That sounds right to me. <v Speaker 1>Sean, this the whole thing smacks of, you know, the <v Speaker 1>tape on the big bucket of water, and he's like, <v Speaker 1>I gotta fix for it, and I'll just slap this <v Speaker 1>tape on there and there we go, and then everyone's. <v Speaker 2>Like, wait, what the fuck is this tape? <v Speaker 1>Like That's what it seems like to me that they <v Speaker 1>had a fix in mind for a very specific problem. <v Speaker 1>They tried to like just be like, this is not <v Speaker 1>some new feature, This is not some new public initiative <v Speaker 1>that we're trying to explain. So they did not have <v Speaker 1>the language ready to address it because this probably came <v Speaker 1>from like a security team internally, and you know, they <v Speaker 1>tried to make it as light touch as possible. People <v Speaker 1>still noticed and man, yeah, here we are. So there're <v Speaker 1>probably some refund exploit that people found and this was <v Speaker 1>the fix. <v Speaker 3>What do you think, Sean, Yeah, you know why this <v Speaker 3>is an issue is because people are starting a pirate <v Speaker 3>PS four and PS five games and the pirates are <v Speaker 3>finding out Oh wait a minute, there's DRM here. And <v Speaker 3>I'm like, I've been, you know, seeing this story float <v Speaker 3>around like you Miles talked about yesterday. I'm like, yeah, dog, <v Speaker 3>digital games are drmed. You're buying it to a DRM scheme. <v Speaker 3>There's DRM, no matter what. Like, it's a little funny <v Speaker 3>to be like, oh, this is a preservation problem or whatever. <v Speaker 3>Console digital games are always an issue of preservation. You <v Speaker 3>are not going to preserve them unless you find a <v Speaker 3>way to pirate them. That's just how it is. So yeah, <v Speaker 3>I don't think that an additional layer of DRM is <v Speaker 3>that big of a deal, because, yeah, you need to <v Speaker 3>download the game from their servers in order to have it, <v Speaker 3>so of course it's also going to do a check <v Speaker 3>in to make sure that you're not using that whole process, <v Speaker 3>So it seems a little bit silly this entire story <v Speaker 3>to me, frankly. <v Speaker 1>Jeff, Yeah, there was always a check, Like as you <v Speaker 1>were downloading, it's like now you're they. <v Speaker 2>Just added one more check on the other side of that, <v Speaker 2>and yeah, it's I mean, I think people just. <v Speaker 1>See something like this and then they extrapolate, because you know, <v Speaker 1>we were like, what else are they capable of? <v Speaker 2>What else will this do? <v Speaker 1>And you know, people do want to have access to <v Speaker 1>even their digitally purchased games in perpetuity, and they're like, oh, <v Speaker 1>I can imagine a world where the servers do go <v Speaker 1>offline and if I already have them on my system, <v Speaker 1>if I don't do a thirty day check, I can't <v Speaker 1>play them. So well, that's not what's happening here. But <v Speaker 1>I do see why you drew the line between those <v Speaker 1>two things. But yeah, this story from the beginning has <v Speaker 1>always been it doesn't seem like Sony's doing the thing <v Speaker 1>they said they wouldn't do, but people are worried that. <v Speaker 2>They're doing it, and it's. <v Speaker 1>Like, yeah, we could talk about that, because right, the <v Speaker 1>slippery slope argument I think does apply here. <v Speaker 2>I do think Sony stands at the top of. <v Speaker 1>A slippery slope where if they fall down, it's like, <v Speaker 1>oh yeah, they could easily fall into one of these <v Speaker 1>pits of making the experience of playing these digitally purchased <v Speaker 1>games worse. <v Speaker 2>This doesn't seem like it's going to do that. <v Speaker 3>I honestly don't even think it's a slippery slope. I <v Speaker 3>think we're all righty there. I forget which game that was, <v Speaker 3>but there was some game that had a problem, like <v Speaker 3>an actual security issue or whatever, and they yanked it <v Speaker 3>from people's consoles like it was something that people had <v Speaker 3>already downloaded and if you were connected to the internet, <v Speaker 3>like there would be a pain and they would delete <v Speaker 3>it from your SSD. Like that's that's what you buy <v Speaker 3>into with these systems. You have to know that going in. <v Speaker 3>And that's why more and more outlets, for example, like <v Speaker 3>as steam Key resellers especially, but I think if they <v Speaker 3>sell console games as well, they try to make this clear. <v Speaker 3>But this was a California law that passed what I <v Speaker 3>were saying, you're buying a license, You're not buying a product. <v Speaker 3>You're buying access to this game that can be revoked <v Speaker 3>at any time. Like you that's what's in the fine print. <v Speaker 3>And that's why I think I saw some people in <v Speaker 3>chesting that this is a non story, and I think <v Speaker 3>it's worth talking about, if nothing else for awareness of Yep, <v Speaker 3>digital games are a scheme that you're buying into. If <v Speaker 3>you're okay trading convenience for ownership, that's that's the trade <v Speaker 3>off that you're making. But you have to know what <v Speaker 3>you're buying into. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, I don't want to like concede the <v Speaker 1>conversation's point, because like the having the conversation, there is <v Speaker 1>something real to that as well. It's not just the <v Speaker 1>letter of the law of the user agreement that you're <v Speaker 1>signing and you know, screw you. <v Speaker 2>Whatever they decide to do, you're you're beholden to. <v Speaker 1>Of course, we know that is technically true, but we <v Speaker 1>also know that these companies are susceptible to pressure campaigns <v Speaker 1>and that they Everyone in this industry remembers what did <v Speaker 1>happen to Xbox when the Xbox One launched, and it's like, hey, <v Speaker 1>everyone wants to be on the right side of the <v Speaker 1>gamer opinion on some of these issues, unless unless it's <v Speaker 1>like maybe it's not as hot of a button or <v Speaker 1>not as hot of a topic as it once was, <v Speaker 1>maybe we can get away with more. And it's like <v Speaker 1>this does show that people are very sensitive to this still, <v Speaker 1>even if it's not even none of it, it's exactly <v Speaker 1>meeting the fears that they that we did have early on. <v Speaker 1>Although I think got the first time we brought up <v Speaker 1>the story. I think it was like it's an ah, well, <v Speaker 1>nevertheless story, like we knew this was never really the <v Speaker 1>threat that people thought it was. <v Speaker 2>But still it's like people are worried, let's figure out <v Speaker 2>what's going on here. Now we have our answer. <v Speaker 1>It is all these things that we said and showing <v Speaker 1>your rights, Like if people are concerned about very specific <v Speaker 1>things around having access to your games, there's you know, <v Speaker 1>you get physical where you can and then wait wait <v Speaker 1>for the hackers, wait for it to get cracked open. <v Speaker 1>Eventually everything becomes a PC game. And maybe that's where <v Speaker 1>you should be looking. <v Speaker 2>At that stuff. <v Speaker 3>And that's why it's so important that pirates do find <v Speaker 3>these things because frankly, like until the industry gets its <v Speaker 3>shit together and is better about preserving games, that is <v Speaker 3>the ultimate preservation tool is piracy, and it's unfortunate and <v Speaker 3>it should not be that way. But that's where we're <v Speaker 3>at right now, where eventually these digital purchases will stop <v Speaker 3>working in the sense that you can no longer download them. <v Speaker 3>It's going to be a long time from now, because <v Speaker 3>like I imagine, now we have backwards compability in every PlayStation. <v Speaker 3>That's not going to be an actual concern for a <v Speaker 3>very long time. But someday it will happen, and at <v Speaker 3>that point, the only way that the games will be <v Speaker 3>fans preserving them. And uh, yeah, that that's where just <v Speaker 3>where we're at. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, to me that the final point on this, excuse <v Speaker 1>me is that maybe the thing that I found most <v Speaker 1>interesting is that Sony did this and did not have <v Speaker 1>language ready to go right away because it did not <v Speaker 1>occur to them, And it's like that is that is <v Speaker 1>a different world than what we were in. <v Speaker 2>This is like five years ago. <v Speaker 1>All the people that would have been making these decisions <v Speaker 1>and decisions at Sony would have been like, hey, that <v Speaker 1>sounds like it's going to get you know, some people <v Speaker 1>riled up. <v Speaker 2>Let's make sure that we know how we're handling this. <v Speaker 1>And it just didn't occur to Sony until a week <v Speaker 1>later to have an answer to this publicly because it <v Speaker 1>just it's I don't think it's like a high up <v Speaker 1>on their concerns or when they talk to gamers. <v Speaker 2>I don't think they see this as a concern. <v Speaker 1>So it's once again like they are going to see <v Speaker 1>what they can get away with, and this is like <v Speaker 1>just a very timy little thing adding another DRM check <v Speaker 1>that doesn't really change much, but it's but it is <v Speaker 1>a new DR check U and so that once would <v Speaker 1>have caused like set off alarm bells and a dinner anymore. <v Speaker 1>So I do wonder like, is the new leadership at <v Speaker 1>these companies that has turned over as sensitive to that <v Speaker 1>stuff as the previous leadership. <v Speaker 3>I will say that's not necessarily even a new DRM check. <v Speaker 3>It's new and in the way it's been implemented, but <v Speaker 3>it's basically they've just like lengthened the initial check is <v Speaker 3>what is. It's like a second layer of the thing <v Speaker 3>that was already there. But yeah, it's also I think <v Speaker 3>that you're right to point out that is an optics <v Speaker 3>issue and the fact that this is a struggle when <v Speaker 3>we talk about these stories because the casual gamer no <v Speaker 3>idea that this is happening. They don't care. They have <v Speaker 3>they download GTA five on their PS five and they <v Speaker 3>just play the game like always. <v Speaker 2>They don't stories you break out there you write this one. <v Speaker 3>Sometimes they do, but I think this one, in particular, <v Speaker 3>this is more of the hardcore gamer thing, which is <v Speaker 3>a sizeable portion of the audience. That's a lot of <v Speaker 3>the audience, And so you're right that they probably should <v Speaker 3>have thought about this more, at the very least if <v Speaker 3>they were going to implement some kind of new new check. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's keep going here. <v Speaker 1>Star Wars Galactic Racer confirmed release date and at one <v Speaker 1>hundred and sixty dollars physical collector's edition. <v Speaker 2>This is from Andy Robinson at VGC. <v Speaker 1>Star Wars Galactic Racer has been confirmed for release on <v Speaker 1>October six, alongside a roster of different game editions. Galactic <v Speaker 1>Gracer is the debut game from Fuse Games, the studio <v Speaker 1>set up in twenty twenty three by a team of <v Speaker 1>former Criterion leads. Pre Orders are open today, with digital, <v Speaker 1>Standard and Deluxe editions, as well as a physical collector's <v Speaker 1>edition available for PS five, Xbox and PC starting at <v Speaker 1>sixty dollars. Star Wars Galactic Gracer invites fans that the <v Speaker 1>whole price scheme all starts. <v Speaker 2>At sixty dollars. I don't know if the physical collector <v Speaker 2>edition does. <v Speaker 1>Star Wars Galactic Gracer invites race fans to join the <v Speaker 1>Galactic lead and an unsactioned racing circuit born in the <v Speaker 1>lawless outer rim of the Star Wars Galaxy. Game looks <v Speaker 1>better every time we see it, Sean. Every time we <v Speaker 1>see him, it's like, oh man, this thing looks like <v Speaker 1>it's kind of an interesting cinematic story mode on top <v Speaker 1>of this cool racing stuff, and it's got all these <v Speaker 1>different kinds of Star Wars vehicles that people are racing <v Speaker 1>in this game. And look at that, it's Ben Quadronios. <v Speaker 1>Let's get him. Let's represent some some quad in our lives. <v Speaker 1>And then to hear a release date like this, it's like, oh, yeah, <v Speaker 1>this thing's real. I can start officially getting excited about <v Speaker 1>this thing. How do you feel about it? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it turns out a good Simmax story mode gets <v Speaker 3>you excited for a video game. <v Speaker 2>Huh yes, right? <v Speaker 3>But yeah, like you said, every time we see it, it <v Speaker 3>looks cooler and cooler. And I did not expect the <v Speaker 3>style that this game was going to have from the <v Speaker 3>initial reveal and just the legacy of that name. You know, <v Speaker 3>Star Wars Racer I thought would be more of like <v Speaker 3>an old school arcade racer, like fast paced everything, but <v Speaker 3>not necessarily over the top. And this seems more like <v Speaker 3>the the the Burnout series, and I forget what's the <v Speaker 3>what's the lineage of the studio? Would they like a <v Speaker 3>lot of these people were out before Criterion? It was Burnout? Okay, yes, <v Speaker 3>so that's why we see that in there, which makes <v Speaker 3>a lot of sense, very much. So I'm glad that <v Speaker 3>they are bringing that to this one because that most <v Speaker 3>recent trailer that we saw just as you would, shit <v Speaker 3>hot and fantastic. <v Speaker 1>It's coming together in a lot of great ways, the <v Speaker 1>promise of there being like a lot of cool content <v Speaker 1>for people to explore in a single player of setting, <v Speaker 1>and then you know it's it's gonna be a fun <v Speaker 1>There was a time where it's like, oh yeah, I <v Speaker 1>would sit down and definitely play this game, a game <v Speaker 1>like this a locally multiplayer, But now I'm saying that <v Speaker 1>it's like that was the N sixty four. That was <v Speaker 1>a long time ago. But I'll still play this game <v Speaker 1>multiplayer probably a couple of times. But yeah, like you said, <v Speaker 1>most people play this single payer content for these kinds <v Speaker 1>of games. Fighting games, racing games can be pretty similar <v Speaker 1>in some ways. I'm glad, glad, I'm glad it looks <v Speaker 1>like they are. They seem to be getting that stuff <v Speaker 1>all together. The one thing I hope they have is <v Speaker 1>these these the boost system from Star Wars Racer, Episode one. <v Speaker 2>Racer. <v Speaker 1>It is once you get on a straight you could <v Speaker 1>begin and you don't need to turn as much. You <v Speaker 1>hold the throttle for not the throat, You hold the <v Speaker 1>steering forward the analog stick like forward, and that begins <v Speaker 1>to fill up a meter, and as long as you <v Speaker 1>don't disrupt holding forwards, it fills up the meter. He <v Speaker 1>press forward again and you get this awesome boost. So <v Speaker 1>it's like this, like can I find the straits? Can <v Speaker 1>I get away with this before the next turn, or <v Speaker 1>maybe you have to make a micro adjustment and that's <v Speaker 1>gonna break it. Can I kind of nudge the stick <v Speaker 1>while holding it forward still and stay on the track. <v Speaker 1>It does a really great job of like keeping you <v Speaker 1>engaged during the races. I don't know if every vehicle <v Speaker 1>needs to have that boost, but I hope, like the <v Speaker 1>pod racers, those options have that as like their control schame. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it would be cool if they have like different <v Speaker 3>sort of schemes for you to be surprised or something <v Speaker 3>like that. Yeah, that'd be interesting. Have some weird stuff too, <v Speaker 3>like what the the GameCube launch game that had like <v Speaker 3>an al Camino in it or whatever. Have weird stuff <v Speaker 3>like that. <v Speaker 2>I like that, Yes, I would. <v Speaker 1>I would, Yeah, absolutely like pay homage to uh to <v Speaker 1>George Lucas's like car fetish, Like you know, he grew <v Speaker 1>up as a car guy, and UH bring in a <v Speaker 1>bunch of weird stuff. <v Speaker 2>That he would like. I think that would be cool. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>let's see jine Jack and cheats. <v Speaker 1>They said that they did release a teaser trailer for <v Speaker 1>Craiger's Resident Evil. I didn't see that. You have you <v Speaker 1>seen anything about it so far? I was like wondering <v Speaker 1>if there's like a word on the street yet. I'll <v Speaker 1>take a look here in a second. Well, well we'll <v Speaker 1>take a break though, so we'll come back and maybe <v Speaker 1>have something about that. And plenty of other headlines everybody. <v Speaker 1>If you want to skip out on these, go to <v Speaker 1>Johnbond dot com slash join become. <v Speaker 2>A premium member. We will be right back. <v Speaker 1>We are back, and I mean Sean who's also here. <v Speaker 1>I'm Jeff Grabitts Gamest Morning is Sean. I love this <v Speaker 1>in chat. It is one of my favorite things that <v Speaker 1>happened during a Blake Club yesterday where we asked the <v Speaker 1>chat like your their opinion on something, and like back <v Speaker 1>to back, you get the exact opposit everybody, every possible, <v Speaker 1>and that's what's happened with this Resident Evil teaser. Chuck <v Speaker 1>tuk Tawski says it looks bad, Imo, and then Lexi <v Speaker 1>says it looks neat all caps right right. <v Speaker 2>Back to back. <v Speaker 1>Basically, I don't know for video game movies. I really <v Speaker 1>kind of hold these in reserve before I start get <v Speaker 1>and excited about them at all. I almost I think <v Speaker 1>I wait for reviews or like the first real trailer <v Speaker 1>for something I'm really interested in, like a Mario movie. <v Speaker 1>I've maybe watched that first Resident Evil movie. Obviously, this <v Speaker 1>is Zach Craigory. He's a very talented director. He's done <v Speaker 1>some awesome he's a great comedian too, The Whitest Kids, <v Speaker 1>you know, some very funny stuff. So I'm looking forward <v Speaker 1>to it based on that pedigree. But yeah, I don't <v Speaker 1>know video game movies. <v Speaker 2>What do you think. <v Speaker 1>Usually bad safe to avoid him. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, so I think that's why some of those standout <v Speaker 3>ones are so standout. Historically, the campier ones are standouts <v Speaker 3>because we like them despite the fact that they might <v Speaker 3>also actually be bad. I think that's why we're looking <v Speaker 3>forward to stuff like the Street Fighter movie looking pretty good, <v Speaker 3>because it's just we're just gonna lean into the hokiness. <v Speaker 2>Screw. <v Speaker 3>We know video games are kind of hokey. So yeah, <v Speaker 3>I'll have to watch this trailer, but I'm interested to <v Speaker 3>see how it how it goes, because it might be <v Speaker 3>one of the only truly could video game movies if <v Speaker 3>it looks good. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, we'll see. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's continue with our headlines as we have <v Speaker 1>them written down here. Dragon Quest eleven s Echoes of <v Speaker 1>Elusive Age gets a definitive edition rated for switch to <v Speaker 1>in Taiwan. I'm gonna combine this with the next story <v Speaker 1>Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gets its first extended <v Speaker 1>switch to gameplay. <v Speaker 2>Support for switch to continues. <v Speaker 1>You know, we're getting this with the Dragon Quest, which <v Speaker 1>is a game that is you know that s I <v Speaker 1>think initially was supposed to indicate, hey, it's coming to <v Speaker 1>the switch and it. <v Speaker 2>Had some cool new features. <v Speaker 1>I can't remember if it had the new music and stuff, <v Speaker 1>but it had some cool new features, and it's like <v Speaker 1>I got special treatment on the Switch one. But you know, <v Speaker 1>they always have to compact these things to get them <v Speaker 1>down onto the Switch one in some ways. So they're <v Speaker 1>still seeing it as worthy of their time to take <v Speaker 1>these ports of games that a lot of people in <v Speaker 1>the system probably probably already own and do a switch <v Speaker 1>to version of them. A definitive edition up here that <v Speaker 1>in that game could like a definitive edition could release everywhere. <v Speaker 2>I think it probably is. <v Speaker 1>Yes, it's going to be coming to PlayStation four, XTBI <v Speaker 1>one and all this stuff. <v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, I believe so. <v Speaker 1>And then on the other hand, Indiana Jones in the <v Speaker 1>Great Circle game, that's, you know, one of those ones <v Speaker 1>you would probably file under close to a miracle port <v Speaker 1>for the for the Switch too. I think that's probably <v Speaker 1>a misnomer at this point, because the Switch two is <v Speaker 1>a lot more capable than I think we give it <v Speaker 1>credit for. I think we're all still traumatized from the <v Speaker 1>Switch one in a lot of ways, but it seems <v Speaker 1>like the support is continuing from third parties. <v Speaker 2>What do you think so. <v Speaker 3>I pulled up the preview here just to take a <v Speaker 3>look at the footage, and it looks pretty solid. I <v Speaker 3>think this is continuing the trend of India Jones, to <v Speaker 3>be clear, I think it's continuing the trend of the <v Speaker 3>switch to getting impressively solid ports in part because you know, <v Speaker 3>it can lean on things like DLSS to upscale the <v Speaker 3>image and make it look attractive from lower resolutions, because <v Speaker 3>rendering it at that lower resolution having lower quality textures <v Speaker 3>going to make it easy on that handheld hardware that's <v Speaker 3>upscaling to give you a console style presentation. Yeah, the <v Speaker 3>foode is looking good. It's running at thirty and uh <v Speaker 3>I think I believe it's run at thirty at least <v Speaker 3>it looks that way to my eyes. I've been accounted. <v Speaker 3>I would be shocked if sixty. Yeah, it's looking pretty good. <v Speaker 3>And I think, you know, with the other half of <v Speaker 3>this two part story we're doing here with Draan Quest, <v Speaker 3>I'm sort of just like neat Well, Yeah, it's good <v Speaker 3>that we're getting proper updates to beloved games to make <v Speaker 3>them run and look better on the switch to. I <v Speaker 3>think that that's just a great thing for a system <v Speaker 3>in general, because I think so far to the Switch <v Speaker 3>Too has felt a bit like the Gamers gaming System. <v Speaker 3>I'm not sure how much it's broken out into mainstream. <v Speaker 3>I just know people, Yeah, people I've talked to are like, oh, <v Speaker 3>ne switch to yet, Like eventually I will, but like <v Speaker 3>right now, a time of exclusives, the games look better. <v Speaker 3>I guess I have a PlayStation for that, so, like, <v Speaker 3>I'm not really concerned about that. So I still think <v Speaker 3>it's neat though, that they are building up this library though, <v Speaker 3>because then you'll have the exclusives and the games that <v Speaker 3>are multi platform and just look solid here and can <v Speaker 3>be someone's only game EXA's system if all they're into <v Speaker 3>is Nintendo. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think that. You know, the thing for the <v Speaker 1>Switch Too is that the genres that they've tried to <v Speaker 1>like poke a hole through to get like, hey, can <v Speaker 1>the switch to burst into that scene, the ones they've <v Speaker 1>tried that for have worked so far, and that that <v Speaker 1>being Tomadacci Life and Pacopia. Tomadaci Life is switched one game, <v Speaker 1>but it's still it still seems like it's it has <v Speaker 1>benefitted on the Switch to. Pacopia certainly has and it's <v Speaker 1>like okay, so, like like you were saying the Gamers Console. <v Speaker 1>So far, people that are going to show up for <v Speaker 1>these things no matter what, they did show up in <v Speaker 1>droves and that has mostly been saturated. <v Speaker 2>So what happens next, and you know. <v Speaker 1>It's I think it's a question of, well, once they <v Speaker 1>release the games that can do that, it will and <v Speaker 1>Smash Brothers being one of the main ones there. We'll <v Speaker 1>have to see what they're going to plan with that. <v Speaker 1>That Nintendo, that next Nintendo Direct. It feels like anything <v Speaker 1>could happen, And it also feels like it could be <v Speaker 1>all the stuff we've heard and nothing else. <v Speaker 2>So it could be like Starfox, could. <v Speaker 1>Be the Zelda remake, or it could be who knows <v Speaker 1>at this point because that stuff has not been confirmed <v Speaker 1>one way or the other. <v Speaker 2>So we'll see. <v Speaker 1>I with you, it's nice to see that, Like neat <v Speaker 1>glad the support's still coming. I don't want third parties <v Speaker 1>to get turned away from the Switch. I want them <v Speaker 1>to feel like they can succeed. There does seem like <v Speaker 1>anything's like really breaking out. Maybe a handful of things <v Speaker 1>here or there, But I do think like. <v Speaker 2>The momentum is building for people to be like, you <v Speaker 2>know what. <v Speaker 1>I will get this on the Switch too, yeah, definitely <v Speaker 1>Tomadachi Life. Speaking of keeps on rolling, then the pragmatic <v Speaker 1>switch to version did drop in Japan, Tomodachi Life Living <v Speaker 1>the Dream has is still number one on the Japanese <v Speaker 1>chart according to Famitsu, who tracks of physical sales in Japan. <v Speaker 2>So this is physical only. <v Speaker 1>It sold another one hundred and seventy thousand, five hundred <v Speaker 1>and thirty three copies at retail, and then that brings <v Speaker 1>its total over two weeks to maybe like closer to <v Speaker 1>like ten days to seven hundred and forty three thousand <v Speaker 1>copies sold. Really seven hundred and forty four thousand copies sold. Yes, <v Speaker 1>it is massively huge. That is certainly going to mean <v Speaker 1>that the game is over a million in Japan alone <v Speaker 1>when you combine in the digital and you know, as <v Speaker 1>a point of comparison, Pacopia was number two for that week. <v Speaker 1>It sold seventeen thousand, and that's number two. Now that <v Speaker 1>game is almost at a million as well. It's at <v Speaker 1>nine hundred and twenty seven thousand copies sold. That is <v Speaker 1>that's switched to right only. That has it's listened to <v Speaker 1>your switch, Yes, so that switched to only. Tomadachi Life <v Speaker 1>has a little bit more of an advantage being available <v Speaker 1>on the system that has over one hundred million units <v Speaker 1>out there, not just in Japan. <v Speaker 2>Of course. Pragmata though did also drop on switch To. <v Speaker 1>It was on the PS five only last week in Japan, <v Speaker 1>dropped a few days later, got onto this chart with <v Speaker 1>fourteen thousand copies sold new first week. That I mean, <v Speaker 1>that is pretty close to what I think the PS <v Speaker 1>five version did. The PS five version did about thirty <v Speaker 1>thousand in its first week, so that's where new games <v Speaker 1>usually are in Japan. And then Toominachi Life is in <v Speaker 1>this other stratosphere, and then it's like, okay, yeah, I <v Speaker 1>just think that man, that they really like that game there. <v Speaker 1>And also what is kind of going on with other <v Speaker 1>game sales in Japan. It's like, I think they're just <v Speaker 1>cool in general. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I was. I was started doing like mental math <v Speaker 3>on this whole thing of like Pragmata releasing the previous <v Speaker 3>week on PS five over there, and then you had <v Speaker 3>to wait for switch two, and this week the switch <v Speaker 3>to version is out selling the PS five version. But <v Speaker 3>I suppose in total, you know, or like if we <v Speaker 3>had compared switch To sales this week when it's new <v Speaker 3>to the PS five sales when it was new, PS <v Speaker 3>five was still out selling the switch to version. Okay, <v Speaker 3>I was curious because handheld gaming is so big in <v Speaker 3>Japan and the Switch family of systems now is where <v Speaker 3>a lot of people buy their games. But for it <v Speaker 3>looks like for a big trip a title like Pragmata, <v Speaker 3>even coming from a Japanese company like Capcom, people are <v Speaker 3>playing it on their PS fives. They want the graph, <v Speaker 3>the coal fidelity over there, just like we do over here. <v Speaker 3>The convenience of the handheld did not win out in <v Speaker 3>this one, it would appear. I guess maybe we'll see <v Speaker 3>if that changes, like it has a long tail on <v Speaker 3>switch to or something like that. But it seems to <v Speaker 3>be like a nice to half for them. But yeah, <v Speaker 3>like you, like you were alluding to. The big story <v Speaker 3>here is Tomodacci Life is just selling bonkers over there, <v Speaker 3>which is kind of wild, Like it's not I wouldn't <v Speaker 3>say it's unexpected concerning the type of game. It is, <v Speaker 3>being a social game and everything like that. I think <v Speaker 3>even we talked about that last week or something. But <v Speaker 3>it's just it's crazy to see the the six figure <v Speaker 3>digit next to all the other five figure ditches below. <v Speaker 2>You know, yes exactly, and it really is you. <v Speaker 1>Tomonaci Life' always been very popular in Japan, so kind <v Speaker 1>of getting the switch boost here a little bit that is, <v Speaker 1>that's going to help. Let's see here, uh look, get <v Speaker 1>to this next story. I was going to bring up <v Speaker 1>one other thing, I think, but no, let's go ahead <v Speaker 1>and move on. So PS five's Plaguetail prequels set for <v Speaker 1>release in twenty twenty six. Still they really veiled some <v Speaker 1>story details as well as from Liam Croft at Push Square. <v Speaker 1>Sobo Studios has resurface to confirm residents. A Plaguetail Legacy, <v Speaker 1>it's prequel to the two current of Plaquetail games, is <v Speaker 1>still on course for a twenty twenty six release. A <v Speaker 1>Sobo is the Microsoft Flight simulator team, right, I'm pretty <v Speaker 1>sure they are, yes, yes, and then they do this <v Speaker 1>Plaquetail series as well. I was always like, hey, is <v Speaker 1>a Microsoft flight simulator going to distract them so much <v Speaker 1>that they stop doing these standalone kind of adventure games that. <v Speaker 2>A lot of people liked. <v Speaker 1>I feel like I feel like Jam maybe liked one <v Speaker 1>of these playtail games. I could be misremembering that, but <v Speaker 1>I know some people really do it. Yeah, Okay, yes, <v Speaker 1>that's right. That's you played them and it was eh. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, people do. There's an audience for these and <v Speaker 1>they're still making them. This game coming out this year. <v Speaker 1>I do wonder, like, okay, a prequel, are people still <v Speaker 1>hot enough on this series? I don't hear a lot <v Speaker 1>of people talking about this one is all Sean, what <v Speaker 1>do you think? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Playtail is not something I've ever been into, and <v Speaker 3>I don't know many people who are. It seems like <v Speaker 3>one of those games that has found a smaller audience <v Speaker 3>and that is enough that that audience is sizeable enough <v Speaker 3>to keep it going. But yeah, I don't I don't <v Speaker 3>know much about it. Are then like Digital Foundry loves <v Speaker 3>it because of some of the tech on displaying right, <v Speaker 3>God damn, that's a lot of rats on screen. <v Speaker 2>It's a ton of rats. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, oh my god, I'm so excited about all these <v Speaker 1>rats exactly. And you know, I bet this game is <v Speaker 1>still going to continue down that that line of being <v Speaker 1>able to like, oh man, that's a ton of particle effects. <v Speaker 1>I don't know when it's like a bunch of animals <v Speaker 1>rain round, It's probably not right, but we. <v Speaker 3>Have like technically, yeah, would that be NPC AI running <v Speaker 3>at once on a processor is always kind of impressive, <v Speaker 3>and they have to like figure out tricks to make <v Speaker 3>that work and have it be convincing and stuff. It's yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think it's maybe more of a technical show piece <v Speaker 3>than like a breakout hit in terms of gameplaning story, <v Speaker 3>even though I've heard people like those. <v Speaker 1>Yep, exactly PlayStation plus the May lineup is confirmed EA <v Speaker 1>Sports FC twenty six, Wuchong and Nine Souls, and I <v Speaker 1>think a lot of people are pointing out that, hey, <v Speaker 1>that nine Souls feels like a really cool get for this, <v Speaker 1>Like that's what. Like, I was browsing Reddit and that <v Speaker 1>was one of the big reactions, was everyone being like, hey, <v Speaker 1>don't sleep on nine Souls. <v Speaker 2>That's a lot of fun. I started Nine Souls. <v Speaker 1>It is a Metroid Veanua game where you play as <v Speaker 1>a cat, you know, nine souls, nine lives, and it's <v Speaker 1>got cool combat. <v Speaker 2>I just I fell off. <v Speaker 1>I'm in a weird place with like, man, a Metroid <v Speaker 1>venue really needs to like take me over, take over <v Speaker 1>my life in like that first forty five minutes to <v Speaker 1>an hour and then I'm looked and I'll see the <v Speaker 1>thing through and if I'm kind of like after that <v Speaker 1>point still like I get it, I'm gonna put it down. <v Speaker 2>And that's where I was with Nine Souls. <v Speaker 1>I regret that because I Mike played through it and <v Speaker 1>he said some of the bosses were really good, and <v Speaker 1>I was definitely in the. <v Speaker 2>Mood for that. But yeah, I think this. <v Speaker 1>I think this is an opportunity for a lot of <v Speaker 1>people to discover this game, and it seems like people <v Speaker 1>are going to because they're talking about it here in <v Speaker 1>the may Ps plus lineup. <v Speaker 2>So when you tried out, yeah, go ahead. <v Speaker 3>No, Nine Souls not as much because of well, it's <v Speaker 3>a Metroid venue, right, yes, Yeah, and indie Metroid venus <v Speaker 3>tend to have a specific flavor of that search action <v Speaker 3>genre to it, and just oftentimes I'm not into what <v Speaker 3>they're putting down as much as I am is going <v Speaker 3>to play a Metroid game, because, like I mentioned before, <v Speaker 3>I'm nine as into the Castlevania influence, which is will <v Speaker 3>a lot of these have. I might check it out though, <v Speaker 3>after the way you might talk about. I think I <v Speaker 3>got a Humble bundle so I could even just find it. Sure, <v Speaker 3>So yeah, I think I want to check it out <v Speaker 3>at some point at the very least. But I think <v Speaker 3>it's a they'll line up in general, and it seems <v Speaker 3>like it's catering to a couple different audiences. EA Sports FC, <v Speaker 3>you know, one of the newer football games. It makes <v Speaker 3>sense to have that go out to a lot of people. <v Speaker 3>Wu Chong can't be discount because I know, I know, <v Speaker 3>I think review scores were a little divisive there, but <v Speaker 3>I played a little bit of that seemed like a <v Speaker 3>solid souls Like experience to me. Maybe nothing special, but <v Speaker 3>if you're looking for a new one, why not. So Yeah, <v Speaker 3>I think it's a solid PlayStation Plus lineup. As people <v Speaker 3>look for a place to save money but also play <v Speaker 3>solid in my games, they'll definitely be looking to stuff <v Speaker 3>like their existing PS plus subscriptions and hoping that the <v Speaker 3>lamp is strong in that month. And this one seems <v Speaker 3>like a good one. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean these you're right, these souls Likes games <v Speaker 1>always live a couple of different lives where the initial <v Speaker 1>reaction is, let's directly compare this, does it stand up <v Speaker 1>to the from games? And it's you know that usually <v Speaker 1>that's going to be pretty tough for these games, and <v Speaker 1>that's where the reviews really come down and so this <v Speaker 1>is a seventy four percent on Metacritic. And then later <v Speaker 1>people are like, you know what, there's not a new <v Speaker 1>from game right now, I've played them all five times. <v Speaker 2>Let me try one of these other ones. <v Speaker 1>Oh, Lives of Pece really good, and let me get <v Speaker 1>some of these others and you kind of start going <v Speaker 1>down some tiers, and this game waiting for people like that. <v Speaker 1>It'll definitely it'll treat them right. It is good enough <v Speaker 1>in a lot of ways. And I know there's some <v Speaker 1>people who really love the games. So yeah, this feels <v Speaker 1>like a really good lineup for PlayStation Plus. I feel <v Speaker 1>about these subscription services and continuing to add games at <v Speaker 1>this point, I'm like, I'm drowning in games. <v Speaker 2>I know everyone is not in my situation, so I don't. <v Speaker 1>I'm like, I am curious, like, how does the normal <v Speaker 1>person feel about the PlayStation plus things the Xbox Library <v Speaker 1>stuff like that. <v Speaker 3>Oh Jeff, oh, Jeff, I'm a PC player. I left <v Speaker 3>the subscriptions behind a long time ago. I I fired <v Speaker 3>up black Ops six, remember that disc that got Black <v Speaker 3>Ops six? And I told you about how like you <v Speaker 3>download Black Ops seven instead. I was kind of pissed <v Speaker 3>off about that. Yeah. Yeah, I also remembered I needed <v Speaker 3>PlayStation Plus to play that game online. I'm like, oh god, damn, <v Speaker 3>I forgot. Like I'm so used to war Zone when <v Speaker 3>me and my friends fired that up every like you know, <v Speaker 3>once a month or whatever. That's just free to play. <v Speaker 3>And know this game that I paid money for, I <v Speaker 3>need to pay additional money for to play online. <v Speaker 2>Damn. <v Speaker 3>But when it comes to the subscriptions as like ways <v Speaker 3>to get games, we'll also kind of over that as well. <v Speaker 3>You know, it's tough being a player and try to <v Speaker 3>look at the stuff when I look at my fifteen <v Speaker 3>dollars going to like a Humble bundle or Finacla has <v Speaker 3>what like they're they're all superstar bundles or where they <v Speaker 3>called them. But again, fifteen bucks and you get like <v Speaker 3>a solid am ont of Capcom games and you get <v Speaker 3>like an Ace Attorney and a Mega Man and something <v Speaker 3>else for around fifteen bucks. So not as appealing to <v Speaker 3>me anymore. But like I said, I do know plenty <v Speaker 3>of people who still rely on that to be an <v Speaker 3>accessible way of get games. Yeah, that's that's why it's <v Speaker 3>good to see them, you do. <v Speaker 1>Well, there's all kinds of different people out there, and <v Speaker 1>it's like, you know, I think everyone maybe at the <v Speaker 1>end of the day, it looks like because everyone just <v Speaker 1>wants to be playing new and cool video games. But <v Speaker 1>for some people, it's like I'm not going to go <v Speaker 1>out there and hunt for deals and try to like <v Speaker 1>get the most out of there, even though it does <v Speaker 1>seem like we're bang for your buck. If you kind <v Speaker 1>of are able to wait for deals and wait for <v Speaker 1>Humble bundles, yeah you're often better off. But it's like, <v Speaker 1>I'm busy, and you know what, I'll just give me <v Speaker 1>a free game this month, and I want to see <v Speaker 1>what it is. I don't even want to think about <v Speaker 1>what it is. Put it in front of me. Maybe <v Speaker 1>I'll like it, maybe I want. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, that is a funny like just I'll try to <v Speaker 3>keep this as a quick talking point. But someon I've <v Speaker 3>talked I thought about a lot recently is the fact <v Speaker 3>that a lot of people want to be part of <v Speaker 3>the conversation so much that they want to buy. Yeah, well, <v Speaker 3>they want to buy a new video game right when <v Speaker 3>it comes out, but then they're pissed that's seventy or <v Speaker 3>eighty dollars, which you know, that's a lot of money. <v Speaker 3>I don't blame you for being mad, but dog, wait <v Speaker 3>a month or two, and even just that amount of time, <v Speaker 3>it'll be like ten twenty dollars off. Wait for a <v Speaker 3>Black Friday that year, it'll be like half off sometimes less. <v Speaker 3>Be a patient gamer, and you're gonna save a crap <v Speaker 3>ton of money, especially if you may don't even like <v Speaker 3>the game, if you're not someone who like trades in <v Speaker 3>or resells, Like, wait until that game is cheaper whatever <v Speaker 3>that price needs to be for you, and check it <v Speaker 3>out with my Invincible Versus review. I don't like bringing <v Speaker 3>up price when it relates to a game. When we're <v Speaker 3>talking about critically Invincible Versus one where I'm like, okay, <v Speaker 3>the single player offerings are so like thin. Yeah, it's like, <v Speaker 3>oh that's that's the sweet spot where it becomes a <v Speaker 3>talking point. But you know what Jeff for like the <v Speaker 3>other like indie slash, like lower double A fighting games <v Speaker 3>that are like thirty bucks, you know, like the Avatar <v Speaker 3>fighting game coming out soon is gonna be thirty bucks. <v Speaker 3>Invincible Versus is a banger at thirty dollars, and like <v Speaker 3>that's I hope that game does really well if the <v Speaker 3>price goes down a little bit, and it like cut <v Speaker 3>you know, cuts the edge of having to pay that <v Speaker 3>much for thin single player experience. Yeah, we can do <v Speaker 3>this with every game, Like I know, I know developers <v Speaker 3>and publishers might now I hear that, but I look <v Speaker 3>out for yourself and do what's best for you, you. <v Speaker 1>Know exactly, Yes, yeah, and uh, I you know, I <v Speaker 1>think the point about people wanting to be a part <v Speaker 1>of the conversation, and that's where it's like, you got <v Speaker 1>to get into your discords and make friends that will <v Speaker 1>talk about games with you whenever you want it. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>that's the way to do it. And uh, like yeah, <v Speaker 1>but it's right. And then I get it with people <v Speaker 1>that are like, but the discord's popping off about the <v Speaker 1>game at launch, it's like yeah, but you know, I <v Speaker 1>mean a smaller room of your friends that hey, let's <v Speaker 1>hop into this game right now, and maybe they still <v Speaker 1>don't want to, but you can still talk about it <v Speaker 1>with them, and that's yeah, you got to have to <v Speaker 1>break yourself free a little bit for sure. <v Speaker 2>Talking about media is social currency, right. <v Speaker 1>People want to be able to like share experiences with <v Speaker 1>one another video games or offer a really accessible way <v Speaker 1>of doing that. So I don't blame anyone for hopping <v Speaker 1>on because they want to do that specifically. <v Speaker 3>I think as everything gets more expensive, though, more and <v Speaker 3>more people are becoming the patient gamer, the patient moviegoer, <v Speaker 3>and waiting for stuff, and I think that'll get more <v Speaker 3>and more normalized as we're all trying to I'll try <v Speaker 3>and get through it. <v Speaker 2>For sure. <v Speaker 1>Speaking of subscriptions, I don't know if we talked about <v Speaker 1>on this show or even on the BombCast, where's that <v Speaker 1>Final Fantasy fourteen stuff? <v Speaker 2>Would you see this? How the subscription works works on <v Speaker 2>switch to? <v Speaker 3>I'm men tell you about Lastly and ten Dogs a <v Speaker 3>hit podcast, or me and Mike spent way too damn <v Speaker 3>long talking about file Fantasy fourteen. Yeah, but yeah with <v Speaker 3>it with the subscription there it is. You need to <v Speaker 3>pay a subscription to play five no Fantasy fourteen on <v Speaker 3>your switch to. That's not the same as the PC subscription. <v Speaker 3>The reason that's an issue is because the DC subscription <v Speaker 3>allows you to play on PlayStation as well, because PlayStation <v Speaker 3>does not require you to pay a separate one, and <v Speaker 3>they don't even require you to have PlayStation Plus. So like, <v Speaker 3>if you are a paying PC player of fourteen, you <v Speaker 3>just need to buy the game on PlayStation, and that's like, <v Speaker 3>that seems to be good enough for Sony, not for Nintendo. <v Speaker 3>Now for Nintendo, No, you need a standalone subscription. But <v Speaker 3>if you already have a PC subscription or titles, that <v Speaker 3>that discount. Yeah, technically, if you're a PlayStation player also <v Speaker 3>subscriber or whoever, you can get a discount on the <v Speaker 3>subscription on Switch. I asked Mike because he would know <v Speaker 3>bar and I do. Apparently we don't know the pricing <v Speaker 3>at all in either scenario, full price or discount. I <v Speaker 3>would be surprised if it's like similar to the the <v Speaker 3>PC pricing where I price subscription is twelve dollars for <v Speaker 3>the light version I believe, which is like you know, <v Speaker 3>the basic no frills, one character play through the story <v Speaker 3>is twelve bucks a month. Won't be surprised if it's <v Speaker 3>like half price on switch, like same pricing twelve bucks <v Speaker 3>and then six bucks if you have both or some <v Speaker 3>but still a little unfortunate that Nintendo squeezing you for that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it feels a little bit like Nintendo, come on, but. <v Speaker 3>You don't need nso at the very least. Yes, but <v Speaker 3>it's also that's a fun thing to say, because sl <v Speaker 3>is twenty dollars a year, right. <v Speaker 1>And a lot of people probably have nso so it's like, well, <v Speaker 1>that doesn't help me I want n Yeah, well I <v Speaker 1>wish it did. I wish kind of didn't need it <v Speaker 1>so I could justify it even more. Yeah, it's silly, <v Speaker 1>all right, last couple of stories. Nacon Connect returns May <v Speaker 1>seventh after eight delay. Nacon Connect twenty twenty six is <v Speaker 1>now I feel like I'm saying naked. Nakon Connected twenty <v Speaker 1>twenty six is now set for May seventh, after being <v Speaker 1>postponed in February. Insider Gaming says the showcase will include announcements, <v Speaker 1>accessory previews, and game gameplay for titles including The Mound <v Speaker 1>Edge of Endurance Motorsports series and Hunter the Reckoning Death. <v Speaker 1>Wish this was one of those ones where it's like <v Speaker 1>it's getting delayed because there was some troubles at the <v Speaker 1>company and felt like, hey, maybe maybe this just never <v Speaker 1>happens because Nacon's going to collapse. But they've rescheduled this <v Speaker 1>and they've scheduled it to kind of get out ahead <v Speaker 1>of the summer game fest time. So yeah, I mean, <v Speaker 1>I don't know, the Nacon's a smaller publisher. <v Speaker 2>A lot of these. Some of these are some smaller games. <v Speaker 2>I guess. <v Speaker 1>The Hunter, the Reckoning that that could that's one, now, <v Speaker 1>Oh I recognize that, but that's because it was like <v Speaker 1>an older GameCube cooperative action adventure RPG kind of game, <v Speaker 1>and uh, you know, me and my friends played a <v Speaker 1>ton of that. I don't think that one has a <v Speaker 1>huge name recognition outside of that. But they're not collapsing. <v Speaker 1>They're putting on a show. What do you make of this? <v Speaker 3>It's still interesting in me that they're like, a, are <v Speaker 3>these games that they are publishing that we're talking about here? <v Speaker 2>Yes? <v Speaker 3>I believe so, yes, Okay, it's that's still interesting me <v Speaker 3>because I definitely associate with them with being a controller. <v Speaker 2>Company accessories as well. <v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, yeah, but that, yeah, that's like exclusively how <v Speaker 3>I think of them. Because they show up to Cobble <v Speaker 3>Break Her and Evo with their new flights, fight sticks <v Speaker 3>and stuff like that. Yeah, I don't know what to <v Speaker 3>expect because these names don't mean much to me. I <v Speaker 3>know that one means something to you, yeah, But outside <v Speaker 3>of that, I look at those I'm like, man, those <v Speaker 3>sound like titles where I'm like flipping through the Walmart <v Speaker 3>bargain been. I see Endurance Moto Sport pop up, so <v Speaker 3>uh right, that's like below. <v Speaker 2>It's below like the Crew Motors Motorfest, right. <v Speaker 1>Like yeah, I mean that that's like some trash game. <v Speaker 1>But it's like people don't talk about the Crew and <v Speaker 1>this is below that. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. Yeah, I don't want to be too mean because <v Speaker 3>you know, developers work hard on while I just shout <v Speaker 3>in the product or anything like that. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, that's not about quality. And she's like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>this is not like on the tip of people's tongues. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, just I don't know her. Yeah, I don't really <v Speaker 3>know any of these styles. So not a lot to <v Speaker 3>be excited for for me. <v Speaker 2>Uh. <v Speaker 1>And then Xbox revenue was down across content services, gaming, <v Speaker 1>and hardware. <v Speaker 2>It's just kind of across the board. <v Speaker 1>Hardware not surprising that it's down thirty three percent, though, <v Speaker 1>after I think we've just heard numbers like that for <v Speaker 1>the last several years, and that's a year over your comparison. <v Speaker 1>So it's like this is thirty three thirty three, down <v Speaker 1>thirty three percent from last year's down around thirty percent, <v Speaker 1>and that was down from the thirty percent a year <v Speaker 1>the year before. <v Speaker 2>That, so it's just compounding on top. <v Speaker 1>Of itself over and over and over again, sort of <v Speaker 1>in this death spiral for hardware. Again, the generation's coming <v Speaker 1>to an end, so maybe this is just exacerbated because <v Speaker 1>of all these problems, and it would be pretty similar regardless. <v Speaker 1>PlayStation five also often down year over year over year <v Speaker 1>in double digit number percentages, but still Xbox should make <v Speaker 1>up for that on the content side. And yes, overall <v Speaker 1>game gaming revenue fell seven percent because content and services <v Speaker 1>was also down five percent. <v Speaker 2>So it's just like, oh man. <v Speaker 1>New leadership over there has got their work cut out <v Speaker 1>for them, and the way that they're talking about it <v Speaker 1>sort of just like getting back to the basics. I <v Speaker 1>don't know if the consumer has patients for Xbox to <v Speaker 1>go through that again, what do you think, Sean. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's gonna be. It feels like an insurmountable task <v Speaker 3>right there. Because we've talked multiple times this episode about <v Speaker 3>casual versus hardcore players. I think that's the example of <v Speaker 3>Microsoft pissing everyone off inside and outside of gaming, Like <v Speaker 3>because someone may not know what's going on with Xbox <v Speaker 3>per se, but they know that Windows is pissing them <v Speaker 3>off at work, and they know that Microsoft makes Windows <v Speaker 3>and Xbox. I think there's a negative view of the <v Speaker 3>company in general right now. And you combine that with <v Speaker 3>the fact that, as Phil Spencer himself said a while back, <v Speaker 3>you know, they lost the gues four generation and that <v Speaker 3>was the most important one. A lot of people just <v Speaker 3>are PlayStation gamers now who could have been or were <v Speaker 3>previously Xbox gamers, and I think we're seeing that continue <v Speaker 3>to be the case here, where people don't care as <v Speaker 3>much about Xbox as they used to. And combine that <v Speaker 3>with the fact that Xbox has made weird decisions. Microsoft <v Speaker 3>has a bad view as a company. I think it's <v Speaker 3>not surprising that everyone's like, eh, maybe I don't need this, <v Speaker 3>you know, yep, exactly. <v Speaker 2>It's insurmountable is the word. <v Speaker 1>I think that's probably correct, especially because the strategy we've <v Speaker 1>heard so far has been like just going back to <v Speaker 1>the way things were before all the most recent marketing initiatives. <v Speaker 1>And it's like, yeah, I mean things weren't going great <v Speaker 1>before that either, So. <v Speaker 3>It's the Windows eleven strategy. Let's just unfuck it because <v Speaker 3>that's the only way we can return to normalcy. <v Speaker 1>Yes, I mean, look, if they if they release great <v Speaker 1>games that people have to buy that'll change their fate <v Speaker 1>to a certain amount. But the fate of the way <v Speaker 1>people feel about Xbox as a hardware brand as a <v Speaker 1>platform that feels pretty sentence stone in this moment. <v Speaker 2>But I would love to be in a. <v Speaker 1>Sort of a movie scene later about this, the biog <v Speaker 1>of the Xbox and be like, look at this dumbass <v Speaker 1>journalist who said this thing, and they said it right <v Speaker 1>before the great comeback that no one saw coming. Sure, <v Speaker 1>go do that, but it just doesn't feel like that's <v Speaker 1>in the cards right now. <v Speaker 3>I have a quick question for you, Jeff to may <v Speaker 3>just give me your gut reaction here. How are you <v Speaker 3>feeling about Xbox and how the entire game pass saga <v Speaker 3>has influenced them. Do you think that maybe that was <v Speaker 3>where things started to turn and go wrong. It was <v Speaker 3>a good idea, but we now saw that now someone <v Speaker 3>has tried it, maybe that was not the path they <v Speaker 3>should have taken. Is that like part of where their <v Speaker 3>troubles came from? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think that a lot of xboxes troubles go <v Speaker 1>back to when they like they you know what I <v Speaker 1>think about it. I think about tomb Raider when they <v Speaker 1>got the tomb Raider exclusively thing, and that didn't work <v Speaker 1>for them. They're like, Okay, we're trying to compete with <v Speaker 1>PlayStation and Nintendo on their terms. We're trying to do <v Speaker 1>the kind of stuff that they do, and when we <v Speaker 1>do it, people don't like it and it. <v Speaker 2>Sort of backfires on us. So we got to be <v Speaker 2>the disruptors. <v Speaker 1>We have to try something different, and it's just not <v Speaker 1>in Microsoft's DNA to be a disruptive company. And that's <v Speaker 1>what game Pass was, and I think they tried their <v Speaker 1>best to sort of to prove that they could be <v Speaker 1>the disruptors, and the idea felt like it could be <v Speaker 1>like one of those things that comes in and shakes <v Speaker 1>up an industry, and gamers still were like, yeah, but <v Speaker 1>it's Xbox and I'm just like, I like it. It's a <v Speaker 1>good deal right now. I'll buy it for now, and <v Speaker 1>there's thirty million of us that will and it's just <v Speaker 1>not going to grow past that. And when that didn't work, <v Speaker 1>it's like, okay, so we tried to compete with them <v Speaker 1>on their terms. We tried to compete with them by <v Speaker 1>being like changing the industry to be the first mover <v Speaker 1>and get that first mover advantage, and that has also <v Speaker 1>pretty much backfired on us. I think, yeah, it's kind <v Speaker 1>of a combination of just you know, the underlying problem <v Speaker 1>to me seems that Microsoft just has this unlikability and <v Speaker 1>people were not going to get over that hume and <v Speaker 1>it sort of justified to themselves why they should completely <v Speaker 1>abandon PlayStation or Nintendo for Xbox. And when that didn't happen, <v Speaker 1>and especially during the PS four generation, it kind of <v Speaker 1>left them in this really dire state. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it's unfortunate. Bes Xbox has been a really cool <v Speaker 3>place to play video games in the past. The original <v Speaker 3>Xbox was kind of cas scrappy, an interesting idea, three <v Speaker 3>sixty was the place to play, and then yeah, they <v Speaker 3>lost their way with as we all know, tv TV <v Speaker 3>TV was a huge turning point. I think that's, yeah, <v Speaker 3>they don't need to write the ship with the Xbox One, <v Speaker 3>combined with game Pass being a cool idea that you know, <v Speaker 3>slowly felt like that the deal has worsened, you. <v Speaker 1>Know, uh huh, the TVTVD thing, being like, that's just <v Speaker 1>a bunch of people at Microsoft being like, we have <v Speaker 1>all this data, so we know where the world is going, <v Speaker 1>we know what they're thinking, and We're going to meet <v Speaker 1>them where they are, and everyone's like, no, we're just <v Speaker 1>watching TV between the opportunity to buy new video games. Dude, <v Speaker 1>I know you see us on Netflix because we're installing <v Speaker 1>Netflix on Xbox and you see a lot of people <v Speaker 1>doing that. Why'd you get in your head that that's <v Speaker 1>now your business? That's it was such dumb, dumb, like <v Speaker 1>working backward from the now instead of leading with a vision. <v Speaker 2>And that's honestly Microsoft's real problem. <v Speaker 1>They never have a vision and the people they could <v Speaker 1>in charge are visionless kind of across the board, and <v Speaker 1>those are the ones that. <v Speaker 2>Always survived the cuts. So what the hell? All right? <v Speaker 1>That does it for the headlines. Let's get to the <v Speaker 1>poll question that we had from yesterday. We have that <v Speaker 1>overheeringly refreshed, get the most up to date results. Are <v Speaker 1>you getting Final Fantasy seven rebirth on switch to yes <v Speaker 1>or no? <v Speaker 2>Fourteen percent said yes, eighty six percent said no. <v Speaker 1>That's a pretty decent response for a game that's been <v Speaker 1>out for a very long time and people have had <v Speaker 1>a lot of opportunities to play this game. <v Speaker 2>Yes, not long, but long enough. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, two years is that at this point? It's been <v Speaker 3>a bit I think the appeal of playing an open <v Speaker 3>world RPG, in particular on a handheld though, is a <v Speaker 3>good one. That game was, you know, when the PC <v Speaker 3>version came out, it was rough on steam Deck. So <v Speaker 3>if this one is like stable and reliable and that's <v Speaker 3>just a fun way of playing that game, I can <v Speaker 3>see some people even double dipping. But yeah, I think <v Speaker 3>this may be an indicator of bwitsch to version of <v Speaker 3>a game like this. Like we talked about with pregmata <v Speaker 3>and stuff, it does feel supplementary to a library, rare <v Speaker 3>than a killer app. <v Speaker 1>We have a new poll question coming up here in <v Speaker 1>a second.
