Steve Maclin says he’s cleared to compete following TNA Sacrifice incident

Steve Maclin is ready to wrestle again.

38-year-old Maclin has been out of the ring since late March, when a feared concussion caused him to get pulled from the main event of TNA Sacrifice against Mike Santana.

While Maclin passed post-match medicals, including tests to see if he had a concussion, the former TNA World Champion nonetheless spent the following weeks on the sidelines, recovering after the scary incident.

Now, a little under a month removed from the match, Maclin has confirmed that he is able to accept bookings for events once again.

“AIN’T FOUND A WAY TO KILL ME YET,” Maclin said on X this week. “Cleared & ready to get back to work.”

Maclin’s injury at Sacrifice was a scary moment, as a dropkick from opponent Santana accidentally caused what looked like a flash knockdown. However, the way it was handled by referee Alice Lane, along with other TNA personnel, was championed by many, including Maclin himself.

“Everybody was the saving grace in that moment because it was handled so perfectly by the TNA staff and medical and I was taken care of so quickly in the back and right to the hospital,” Maclin said on his Boots to Boots podcast recently.
