The bonus episode topic today is lit child favorite childhood memories you do? 00:02:36 Speaker 5: Yeah, he did? 00:02:37 Speaker 1: You narrow them down? A bit no I am, because okay, let's let's start with the specific, because I want our listeners to weigh in pretty heavy. 00:02:46 Speaker 6: So we've got a ton of amazing listener ones. My specific one. 00:02:50 Speaker 2: I have the specific memory I always go back to when I need peace, and it's like beautiful. I was thirteen, and it's I took my horse. We had it was our house and we had a backyard, a creek, and then a giant field. I took my horse. It was just me and Joy and we went back to the giant field and it was just this one day. And I'd usually be nervous about potholes and stuff, but today it was like sunny. 00:03:11 Speaker 6: There were no horse flies. I had to swat off and I was like Joy. 00:03:14 Speaker 2: I was like I was talking to her and I was like, let's go, let's go, and we just booked it across the field and it was so fast that it felt like a glide. And I remember thinking like this is like I was just like in Bliss and I. 00:03:27 Speaker 1: Always how old were you. 00:03:28 Speaker 6: I was like twelve or thirteen, and I just was like and I was like, we were booking like it was usually. 00:03:35 Speaker 1: You felt like you were like in a movie like Yes, joy was like gallop and there you were why it was like spring, but you felt like you were in the notebook, in the notebook or in some sort you looked around, not a horse fly insight insight. 00:03:49 Speaker 2: They'd usually bite me too, even if I had on like my pants or something. 00:03:53 Speaker 6: So it was beautiful. 00:03:54 Speaker 2: That was the general or specific, and then general was just Blockbuster like Blockbuster visits I miss. 00:04:00 Speaker 6: Oh, do you ever remember just like going? 00:04:02 Speaker 1: You just added to my memories? 00:04:04 Speaker 7: I did? 00:04:04 Speaker 5: That was mine? Oh, but mine was Hollywood Video. 00:04:07 Speaker 1: The same off Wastage Boulevard in the Strip Center. 00:04:10 Speaker 5: Because we'd go every like Friday and Saturday. 00:04:12 Speaker 3: My dad would take us because I'd have like a buddy, and then she would go and we'd get like a video game. We'd rent a video game and a movie and then we'd play it, and then the next day we'd go and if we liked the game, we'd keep it, go get another game for the next night. Yeah, and then another movie, and then on Sunday night we'd take. 00:04:27 Speaker 5: Them back and Monday hit. But yeah, that was my favorite reason. 00:04:31 Speaker 6: Did you guys have the porn sections in your Are you crazy? 00:04:34 Speaker 5: In Utah? Yeah? 00:04:36 Speaker 1: But you can even buy alcohol in the grocery store. You had to go into a liquor store where children were not allowed. You had to be twenty one to enter. 00:04:42 Speaker 5: Well you know this. I learned this from Dylan because his brother. 00:04:48 Speaker 3: There was a like an R section in Hollywood Video, but it was in a back door and they had to let you in if you were of age to look at the rated R movie. 00:04:58 Speaker 6: Yeah, it was like a sneak. 00:04:59 Speaker 1: Don't tell me that. Don't tell me that. I wanted to be just like pear Bliss and Child as adults were in there going like where's that rated R film? No, No, I don't. I don't because I grew up in a household where my parents probably had a lot of sex and no one needed to be watching weird fucking videos. 00:05:16 Speaker 3: They had it okay, talking porn. I was even talking like Chainsaw Massacre, like all the rated all. No, No, you were behind a door, not just porn. 00:05:24 Speaker 5: I think. 00:05:24 Speaker 1: I thought, Well, we went from Jessica asking me if they had the porn section to you telling me there's a back door. 00:05:29 Speaker 5: So yeah, I'm thinking they probably had porn. I didn't know porn. 00:05:33 Speaker 2: They in King Video they had the porn section, and my parents and a few other crazies organized a protest to protest the porn section because it wasn't. 00:05:43 Speaker 5: To make it bigger for the kids. 00:05:47 Speaker 1: It's too small. It as a back door and then do that to me. No, I am totally fine with a healthy amount of porn viewing. 00:06:03 Speaker 2: Tell us about your childhood memory, law, let's stick with that, keep the porn out. 00:06:08 Speaker 1: I just love that, all right, Happy Mother's Day, childhood memories, No porn allowed. Save it for the regular episodes on home Day, all right. My favorite memories also Hollywood Video. I loved Hollywood Video because I would ask my mom to rent me the same Mary Kate and Ashley movie every single time, and then she would say, Honey, do you just want me to buy it for you? Do you really like it that much? And I was like, yes, please buy it for may. But I had to work for my spice girls watch at fred Meyer movies I usually got. But anything beyond the movie, like, I had to do my chores like vacuum the stairs and stuff. Anyway, my next favorite memory would be anytime we went to Lake Powell. It's my most favorite place on earth. Okay, if you asked me, you could go anywhere in the world, it would be Lake Powell. We had a houseboat. We grew up going there every summer. I found out that Justice in Courtney, Sina's sister. They're going this summer, and as you guys know, we're not filming, and contrary to what the Internet says, I'm very happy about it. Okay, there's like a thing that Brittany showed me, me running to the valley. I guess it's like laala hearing that there's no more Vanderbump rules this summer and me booking it. Let me be very clear. I bought my house in the valley because it's all I could afford. I would have liked to have been in the Beverly Hills flats, bitch, but I can't afford it. Yes, okay, I did not move to the valley because I want to be on the valley. I moved there because that's what I could afford. Fucking hell. Hell anyway, So they tell me we're going to Lake Powell. I think we're not filming this summer. They said, we have an extra bedroom on the house. I said, count me in. She goes, Okay, these are the dates. We're going August something through September one, and I say, I'm down. Count me in. I said, but we should extend through like the second or the third, because that's my birthday and we should. I want to stay in the Powell, and she goes, you're giving birth. I was just got that time. You're giving birth, and I go. 00:08:25 Speaker 6: You could do a water birth in the lake. 00:08:28 Speaker 1: I'm pregnant and I will be giving birth at that time, so I guess count me out. I was ready to chop a rothbarton give birth to this baby right on the houseboat, jump. 00:08:37 Speaker 5: On the jet ski. 00:08:43 Speaker 1: Not the baby, the baby on the bill, you guys, my baby. Speaking of breastfeeding baby or baby ol baby. 00:08:54 Speaker 5: Oh. 00:08:57 Speaker 1: I had friends in town and they're still feeding their babies. And now my daughter is asking me if I can feed her with my boobs, and I told her, I go, I used to not anymore. And now I walk in and she has like her stuffed animal nothing. I go, I'm like, what are you doing? And she just I'm feeding my baby, So please tell me if that's okay. It's my first time doing this. I wone tell me if this is normal. 00:09:29 Speaker 6: I have no so cute. I have been so cute. I used to feed my baby with a bottle. 00:09:33 Speaker 2: It's the same thing, not with her breasts, like change my baby's diapers. 00:09:40 Speaker 6: Can you guys do that? 00:09:41 Speaker 1: Okay? If if you guys can tell me it's it's it's normal. Great. 00:09:46 Speaker 6: I'm not a mom. 00:09:46 Speaker 1: I don't know. Well, I'm a first time mom. So someone tell me because I have another girl coming and the next if this happens with babys, I'd like to know, Like that's fine, yeah, but tell me because I will be breastfeeding a new baby and I just I just want everything to be happy and healthy, and like I need the steps and progression and evolution of my children to happen in a timely and safe manner. Am I making sense? 00:10:09 Speaker 5: This is good? This is gonna have great content here in a couple of months. 00:10:13 Speaker 1: Okay. So the next thing is Newport Beach, which we went every summer with Dad. But also, can I tell you my favorite memory east going up Mill Creek Canyon to barbecue with the Russians. Oh yeah, that was my most favorite thing to do. I'm this summer, I want to do that. I don't have to work. You guys there are so many teas I want to go back to Utah. 00:10:38 Speaker 6: In like July. I'm saying weak. 00:10:40 Speaker 1: I know you should come. It's so much fun, all of it. Like I'm so thrilled to have this summer off. There's so like my my family, Brandon Cheryl. They come out every year for Newport for a good chunk of time, and I never get to see them because I am always filming Vander pump Roules. So to say that, I am very glad that not only I get to enjoy my pregnancy through the summer, like I get to do things that I don't normally get to do. My niece and nephew are off. We're gonna have the best time creating new See, we're. 00:11:14 Speaker 3: Creating more merried And then we should get like an Airbnb when we go back to Utah and just like put the whole. 00:11:18 Speaker 5: Family in it. 00:11:19 Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, okay, that's so fun. Did everyone get their memories out or did I skip you Easters? 00:11:25 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:11:26 Speaker 3: Besides the fun Blockbuster was great, but like the same, Like I loved going to like Saint George when we would get on the ATVs, all of us with like I don't know if you went with me and mom and dad we just like do a little thing, go on the ATVs just I was killed out the back and just have lunch and go back. 00:11:40 Speaker 5: So I love saying George for that reason. 00:11:43 Speaker 3: Obviously like Powell because it was just like family oriented uh huh. But my favorite thing, honestly was like the drive from Salt Lake to the Atrium Hotel across the street from John Wayne Airport. 00:11:54 Speaker 1: With the Giant TV that won bad move and we're rolling the whole families that were taken out by the giants television. 00:12:01 Speaker 3: We would lay down the seats and on the back bench and we would start there. 00:12:06 Speaker 5: No, my dad would make them that the TV. We would We did that too. 00:12:10 Speaker 6: On long drives the t the Giant. 00:12:14 Speaker 1: And then if you're a little tired to take the seatbelt off. 00:12:16 Speaker 4: Taking knapsould blanket. 00:12:20 Speaker 3: You would have seen the TV fly through the kids and the kid as well, or maybe the kid in the TV. 00:12:26 Speaker 6: No, I wasn't. 00:12:29 Speaker 5: Neither was the TV a babe. That's why they started. 00:12:33 Speaker 1: What is d O A dead arrive? 00:12:37 Speaker 5: That's us. 00:12:38 Speaker 1: That's one wrong move. My favorite memory and I love those memories, great memories. 00:12:44 Speaker 6: That is fun. 00:12:45 Speaker 1: Dad's a savage, right, yeah, ten and two. 00:12:51 Speaker 5: Freaked out? You was no kids, seat belted, giant TV. Keep her straight? 00:12:59 Speaker 1: What are our child? 00:13:02 Speaker 6: Okay, I'm just going in order this. 00:13:06 Speaker 2: Hold on this one I saw and I was like, that's a great point. 00:13:11 Speaker 6: No social media and no ring cameras to catch what. 00:13:14 Speaker 1: We were I wait, what is it? What is no social. 00:13:17 Speaker 6: Media, no ring cameras to catch what we were doing? Dude? If we had ring cameras. 00:13:22 Speaker 1: That's the best, Dude, that's the best. 00:13:26 Speaker 5: I hate ring cameras even Like if I. 00:13:28 Speaker 1: See people I hate ring camera's eye. 00:13:30 Speaker 5: Thumb on it before I even get there. 00:13:32 Speaker 3: Put the thumb on it, and then go around and knock you see who I am? 00:13:36 Speaker 5: All right? I like that we can already see it before you block it, depending on no, depending on the angle of the uh. 00:13:43 Speaker 3: I'm in an apartment right now, not really well not anymore in your house, but like all in the apartment. Everybody like has the ring camera right on this side of the apartment. So like if you walk up to the door and then put it on and walk by. 00:13:55 Speaker 2: Yeah, I just like to walk by if they're random apartment neighbors and just turn and look, just smile. 00:14:01 Speaker 5: I do that too. 00:14:02 Speaker 3: Sometimes I'll see it and I'll just sit there, yeah, and then just walk. 00:14:06 Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't even notice ring cameras. You don't know, because I feel like everyone has them, and it's just like me being like, oh, look, they're just making sure that they're protected. 00:14:15 Speaker 6: There's a ring camera. 00:14:16 Speaker 2: Okay this one sleepover sleepovers at my grandparents' house. 00:14:20 Speaker 6: Such a simple memory, but those were the best days. Did you guys ever sleep over your grandparents? I never did that. No, I don't think my grandparents ever wanted. 00:14:26 Speaker 2: They had like a beautiful house on the lake, and they're like, get these we love you, but like, no, dirty kids, you're not going to be in this house. 00:14:31 Speaker 1: I remember my mom getting into a really bad fight with my dad one night and we slept in my grandma's. 00:14:37 Speaker 5: Mimi's. 00:14:38 Speaker 1: Yeah. Wait, did we have a big cousin sleepover at grandma's one time and she made us peach homemade peach ice cream? 00:14:47 Speaker 3: Yeah, downstairs, Yes, But I think because our home was so close, we like did all of that and then when everybody was going to bed, we went home and then. 00:14:55 Speaker 1: We probably I always left sleepover. 00:14:59 Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want to sleep next to these musties. 00:15:04 Speaker 5: It's a mile away. 00:15:06 Speaker 6: I love to get sleepover Blockbuster. 00:15:09 Speaker 1: Oh wow. 00:15:10 Speaker 6: Playing in the dirt. I loved playing in the dirt. 00:15:14 Speaker 1: That was also really fun. Do you remember the condo in Saint George, the back area where you'd go up the stairs and there were all those rose bushes and you and I would dig in the dirt and make tractor. 00:15:25 Speaker 5: Me and alexil zach Russen used to do that all the time. We'd so fine your house. 00:15:30 Speaker 3: In our house, we just have big bulldozers and we'd make roads and then we'd get Lincoln logs and build houses. 00:15:36 Speaker 5: On the roads. 00:15:36 Speaker 1: Oh, I loved Lincoln logs. 00:15:38 Speaker 5: Yeah, we were you were contractors out there. 00:15:40 Speaker 1: My big my biggest thing for Ocean is there's nothing like your mom being like, yeah, we're gonna go have a play date with so and so, and like the moms were staying, like and I'm gonna stay. We're gonna take you to the mall and go to lunch. It's like, as an adult, it doesn't seem like anything, But I remember that feeling as a kid, having like a plan with a friend and our moms were going too, so I felt super safe. Like I want that for ocean like when I tell her, like when we told her today, summer Moon's gonna come over to the house, and she goes, yay, summer Man like freaked out, and I was like, I know that feeling. It is so fun and. 00:16:23 Speaker 3: Think about it, but I'm now thinking about leaving the mall and then mom and Kristen getting in the front while in the back. 00:16:29 Speaker 1: It's so fun moms and playtime. 00:16:33 Speaker 6: Freaking aside, that's so cute. 00:16:37 Speaker 2: This one is making YouTube dances with my cousins. 00:16:41 Speaker 6: Hashtag the o g TikTok. I remember our video. 00:16:44 Speaker 5: For a line. 00:16:45 Speaker 1: Wait, what was it? 00:16:46 Speaker 5: Vine? 00:16:46 Speaker 1: Oh? 00:16:47 Speaker 2: I remember Vine loved Vine My vine hit and then they took it down and. 00:16:50 Speaker 5: You couldn't get you anything. 00:16:53 Speaker 6: I had some views on my vines. 00:16:55 Speaker 1: You could have been vine famous. 00:16:56 Speaker 2: I could have been vine famous. I obviously wasn't Fine famous. 00:16:59 Speaker 1: It's because you lived in some podunk town, right Nashville. 00:17:10 Speaker 5: No. 00:17:10 Speaker 1: I love not small ass about finger legs. 00:17:18 Speaker 5: The amount of. 00:17:18 Speaker 2: People listeners by the way that you have the finger legs. 00:17:22 Speaker 1: I love the finger Here's the thing. Let me tell you something. I can say whatever I want about any of these places because I'm from Utah, Okay, I can literally say whatever I want. 00:17:34 Speaker 6: You know who loves the finger legs? Darn da? 00:17:36 Speaker 5: I like fingering with what are you doing? 00:17:38 Speaker 1: Hair wet? 00:17:40 Speaker 5: Every time I hear finger legs. 00:17:42 Speaker 1: I had to really zone in on this shirt because I'm like, there's is there an inside joke here? I don't know. 00:17:48 Speaker 6: You guys would love it. 00:17:49 Speaker 2: Let me tell you to take us. I would like to take you to the finger Lakes. 00:17:53 Speaker 1: You keep talking about it. And then doing an hour of a podcast tour. 00:18:04 Speaker 1: Oh wow, you guys do the podcast. 00:18:06 Speaker 5: No one will show up? 00:18:08 Speaker 6: I know, okay, Oh my god? Making pillow forts. It was so innocent and so imagicd. 00:18:17 Speaker 1: That at our cousin's house they had that giant freaking house with a giant couch with a giant couch and huge TV to play all of the Nintendo sixty four inside of the pillow fort. 00:18:31 Speaker 6: Isn't that so fun? 00:18:32 Speaker 2: And then if your dad ever went and put the lights and really special savage Christmas lights, and then you were just like, where are we? 00:18:38 Speaker 6: It felt like a fairy fort. 00:18:40 Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, what this is like the most nostalgic podcast episode. I hope everyone's feeling the same way as me. Okay, taking like one of the like either a yoga mate or like a sleeping bag and hauling ass from the top of the to the bottom so fun. 00:19:01 Speaker 5: All the time we put blankets and pillows at the very bottom. 00:19:04 Speaker 4: All but my mom got you're doing my stairs, you're wearing car. 00:19:14 Speaker 1: Bit So we always stood it at our. 00:19:22 Speaker 6: Not wearing out the carpets. 00:19:25 Speaker 5: I had to let it fly. 00:19:29 Speaker 1: When I when I belly laugh and my muscles tightened, do damn suffocating my baby? 00:19:35 Speaker 6: I think that wakes her up and she's like it's time to go. 00:19:38 Speaker 1: Because it's happening so much often that I'm hoping that that's not the case. 00:19:44 Speaker 5: Not. 00:19:45 Speaker 2: Haven't you ever seen the ladies that like they'll do like exercises and crunches and that. 00:19:50 Speaker 1: Who's doing that? 00:19:51 Speaker 6: Yes, like pregnant? 00:19:52 Speaker 1: Okay, no, you're. 00:19:54 Speaker 5: Not doing that. 00:19:55 Speaker 1: I'm sure you're going would not approved. 00:19:58 Speaker 6: Maybe I should report the Instagram pag there. 00:20:01 Speaker 1: That's not good. 00:20:03 Speaker 5: What what does it dorush? 00:20:06 Speaker 1: You can't do a folding motion pregnant. That's why they have all these other things. You're not even supposed to lay on your back pregnant. 00:20:13 Speaker 6: The baby comes out jacked if you do it, baby, Okay. They want you to start like a YouTube channel where you watch things that are funny. 00:20:34 Speaker 6: And the two of you just laugh and the two of you just laught. 00:20:36 Speaker 3: So really just do ridiculousness, but way better people on it. 00:20:40 Speaker 6: That is so so funny. 00:20:42 Speaker 5: All right, set it up. 00:20:44 Speaker 1: That would be so funny.
