AEW Weekly Wrap (Jan 12th - Jan 19th), & Preview of Next Week & ROH

Hello everybody, Welcome to another edition of the AW Weekly wrap Up. I'm
your host Ethan Black and Tamper with the shows from last week, the ray
Patch, Cush and also Bottle the Belts until this past week's uh donamite review
dot my ashould say not don my review and they do previous for upcoming shows
and ring and Honor, and I do want apologize for getting into those that.
Sorry I didn't get Chase to do last week's done. It's a family
opened. Plus I was I was coming out with a cold, so that's
why there was no episode last week. I do apologizes for not putting a
tweet out butt up, but that was the reason why there's no uh weekly
wrap Up last week. But I'm back now, So what're you gonna get
it? And we're gonna start with AW Rampage oncoming night Tube. This is
from January twelfth. Excuse me as we gave up with the Cono Crown on
the line as Eddie Kingston, Britangel where you're at seventeen minutes at thirteen seconds,
swore stream would be Matts at at four and a half minutes. Of
course you'd have been Queen Amanita at eight minutes to fifty seconds and then maybe
trios actors Oak rounds even with John silver to Be, Andrew Parker, Jake
Hager and Mattminard at ten minutes and twenty four seconds. So from the show,
the Conna Crown gets a seven out of ten, Sweer for Style gets
a five out of ten, Sheena forgot Anita gets the seven to ten as
well, and the trios match gets a five out of ten for me.
So honestly just watched the women's match and the Connoll Crown and by way any
Case and John Oxley Dave Rssell on Nutri Band's Bound and Value on January thirteenth,
where any Kings went to a double Cattle gets a gay kid and Moxley
got away over Shingo toa coacky in a no DQ match in the semi mabe.
But I recommend checking uh that out as well. Did we go over
to episode thirty of Collationion from January thirteenth, I don't copeing defe Lee Moriary
Elements in twelve seconds for the Ring of Honor six man titles Mogul NBC's Bishop
Coln Brian Kish toy Leona defeating and retained the tiles over Lantarder in the Righteous
Dutch infensive elements in forty five seconds. Dustin rows with willing mac and four

forty seconds so from the show, I will say watch the opening match,
the him and pagg Drinke match the in the MA event. So I'll just
give range quick so Cobov his Lee markets seven out ten, six minute ten
tow much. It's a five out of ten for me Rose first win,
Mackett of six out ten, who Patriot j Drink gets seven out of ten,
the Riffeld gets a six out ten, Hope first came out. I'm
gonna give it a one just words over a minute and then May event also
gets a seventh out of ten. So that same that we had the ninth
annual Battle of the Belts. O, these shows are so point I get
you. I know it's only once every quarter, but these shows are so
pointless. But we could go with the but I will say though, that
was the native positive. Uh. Battle Belts always probab the best bell on
the belt show they've done out of the ninety dead so far. But of
course they always do them during teen day shows, which is weird. But
anyway, the opening match was the World Tad Team Tall Tiles online in a
street fight. Big Bill Rickie starts fortained to unless Sir Scots Chris Jericho Savid
Cabar eighteen minutes and fifteen seconds TVs on the line. Julie Hart retains for
a J. Timmitts sixteen seconds and Orange Cash retains the International tal and the
maame against Pressing Vade the limits seventeen seconds. So range from this show.
Uh well, data World TI Tall Street Fights seven out ten TVs Tall Match
six out ten and then Maven gets a six out ten as well. Uh.
I did like that street fight but where they literally like met in a
street for the first half of the match. But it was one of the
best street fights Dato he's done in a while. But that's all the last
week's shows. Then we'll go right into this week's show. January seventeenth,
this past Wednesday from North Charleston, South Carolina. So the two dark matches
they had was sky Blue v. Brittany j and Alex John Johnson were on
the dark order in the winner bringing colored coke, Cobana and some tag Mattion.
So actual show starts off with Smoe, Joe and Hook Robin at the
building with the first of three TV matches, three title matches as Christian Cage
retains the T and T towel over Dustin Roads at fifteen minutes and twenty five
seconds field kill Switch. This was a really fun opening match. I just
won a seven out of tim There was a few times where but Christian hit
like the end of the match. Christian hit the kill switch the first one.
I actually thought that was three. I like how gold gold as sorry
dust Roads try to hit Christian with the gold formerly known as the Shower Dreams.
I think its Gallagher gets a I think he's a natural kick. I
think I heard him say I could be wrong. Don't quote me on that,
but but it's fairly called gold globes. I did like the Canadian shore
on due Nick Wayne on the floor. That was a pretty cool spot.
And then the uh try to t T tal with Auby Art's U take it
away? But like I said, really fun match between both of these guys.
Uh by the match Gens where he hits a spear kills for the first
time. Not that his finish or not uh far its stores so he hit
some second from away. I actually went on why actually needs two run on
the back? Warm? But it was fun by. Dustin's getting kind of
up there, so Christian Cage, but I think Dustin's in his mid fifties
I believe. And then Christian Cage, I think I think he's in his
fifties. Two he's only forties or fifties, I know that. I just
can't remember. But anyway, that's not the point. But it's like I
said, fun match, but the verse alt was kind of predictable. No
Fens Dustin uh but it was closely Dustin whipping out the Canadian Troy again.
But and then we go back to against Flash Strickland and he has his eyes
on the main event, and then he he starting to call it clasic.
How everyone he was the only one everyone's talking about. It makes the injured
man got to the world. So so when they break fings up him and
also going up to the title and then he said it under seven beams twice,
so he put again. And then after the commercial break we did get
a recap of the end of the bell the belt. So I so if
you missed this, Gabar clients with this light beam thing, but jiggered he
was up like twenty five feet and he didn't want to bottle the crash as
parahos hops did move brick starts out of the way. So that's how the
match ended. And every Forget said she did say collision, but it was
about the Belt nine, but I mean it was a three hour show,
so it didn't really matter honestly, but I'm not going to give her too
much crap for it. And then she was interview Jericho about losing the street
about the Belt nine and so Jeral bladen Belk has family and givar injury.
He brings up to Cashow. He beat in Tokyo back a couple, which
is true that was back at Thet's Ultimate party. And he says he'd mentioned
like glass light tubes, uh, pizza cutter, top of bringing up some
of the weapons he he got used on during his match Nick Gage a couple
of years ago. Then all of a sudden, Matt side Dell interrupts inside
Jero handles it and just in the rings he's been Jake before. So Gerald
Greenson mixed the match for Friday on Rampage and then he made up having borne
joke. I think he say he was born to be ready for this or
something, but basically taking a shot at Matts, don't give you name.
Then we go into our second match, tax to match. This was a
origin was supposed to be Trimper and Chuck Tail for Luca Bros. But unfortunately
Chuck Taylor and Ray Fakes are injury. I think EXCaliber said that I forget
what phex injury was, but Chuck Tail, I think Chuck Tayler had a
foot injury, I think they said. And by the way, I forgot
to mention at top of this review that I Rick Bonnie, whose commentary honor
was substitute for Tony Shawan due to him being sick. So I hope Sany
does get better I don't know how that feels. That was me last weekend.
But I actually thought before I get to this match in Ruca, Bonnie
actually did a good job on the show. I should want to hear him
more. Just besides rag Wander, I thought he did a good job on
Dot and White on Wednesday. But the tag team match is best friends interest
orange guy in trip brofeen Pentago, You're in Commander at ten minutes and fifteen
seconds via Crunchy on Commander. Not a fun match on just want a seven
out of ten and so far I like the TNT to match. Out the
six matches, I think I had three of them at uh seven out of
ten, but I'll get to them as I go on. But this was
a fun match. Quit fine little ten minute match. I I wish broh
it was a more singles competition, but I get tag team. But like
I said, fun match, I mean ending having with casting to Pentaga.
Beach Break hits the community the orange punch and like B hits him with the
crunchy that's basically the dupe buster. When he's it's basically just like a he
sits on his opponent like a pile driver kind of thing. Do the match.
Best was good to sender a hug, but they get interrupted by Unspokame's
ring Wor World Time James, Matt, Tavim, Mike and Roger Strung And
then he told takeos glasses. So he yells orange for him, but he
reviews so he was trying to but Cassie slapped his hand away. So he
says, always have been interested, but he's had to be in tag match
and it's because it all having too much, and he's loved to take to
keep him. He's a bit of international belongs to him and he's here to
make Cassie. So Cassie, he said, he make the fans shut up,
and it's just a challenge to put his online uh right there and right
now. Sean took his shirt off, but he said he's gonna wait till
Marsh for a revolution because he wants Cassie to live with the next six weeks.
Thinking about this, I do like Orange cass but obviously he does not
need this title anymore like I like his first way way better than this ray.
I I don't even want to put the belt back on him. Honestly,
I hope Strang takes the title back it takes the title, honestly,
and let Cassidy go out to go after any other towers. He does not
really need this title anymore. But I'm pretty excited for the Cassidy Straw match,
honestly, So that's I believe that's too match of officially confirmed because the
Stings retiring match. And then we go to UH backstage for Nase. She
was busy on the show. She was with him and Adam Pai, who
kind of actually been more and more over the weeks, looks like a magnum
a or as I joked with somebody on Twitter day UH Wrestling covers, that's
who was shout out to him. He was talking about how he looks like
mag I joke. He said he should be an honorary member of the Outrunners,
but he does look like Magnet. Is actually kind of scary. I'm
not gonna lie. And then Page is here. He said, nobody else
cares more wild tall than him. Only he went, but he will hold
it, put his name on it, and keep as lung as he can.
Then tells and then Renee Brown Housel Swerve's going for and Paige not able
to beat him. He said he's gonna if he can't beat him because it's
World Swerve and he's told Cook, God be with you, Vanda the world
tel after the show, Speiller, he doesn't. Then we go to Justine.
I was introducing Mark Briscoll in the Presco family as Wednesday was the one
year anniversary of Jay Briscoll passed away into a car accident. I'm not gonna
lie. I did shed a little bit tears on this. I mean this
was sad, like I felt so bath from Mark. And then he was
talk about the bar accidents. Nieces were also injuring that truck now a walk
kick. I think it was just old this niece, I think he said.
And then so Mark's kids, son and both dollars came up and the
fans like what happen before? And she was walking and then we get the
video of James Brascal like, I think that was the same with the show
last year on his anniversary. But I'm not gonna lie this. I did
shit a little bit teared on this one. But yeah, that it was
a mole show. But it was a really nice video and segment. I'm
glad they actually got to play a little bit in here. And then we
go after the break because read the Young books. As Nick Jackson cuts Robin
to call him by their god names. That was Nicholas and Matthew. Obviously
I'm still gonna call him Nick and matt Nolfense and then basically tubleu renee brais
all the rumors, the t tantrims and so Matt, uh lose your reputation
and less go out the window, he said, do all the again,
and then uh, asking for she got her paycheck this week, and then
they say they he said, mad was talking about how company changed with the
cancer superstars by staying. Isn't one of those, He's a rod employee changing
the world, basically teasing that, uh, they're gonna be opposed for staying
at Revolution before Nix's. They will pull some strings and they had to go
meeting to go to the close. I mean, I like this, honestly,
I do like the unbooks. But I thought this past like a year
and a half, I thought they've been just like flow, like I don't
know, I've just been kind of disappointed with him, like dere's cold,
but I'm kind of digging this EVP thing and getting heat like heel and stuff.
I thought this was a good promo. I've seen some people actually hate
it. I actually did mine. I thought it was pretty good. Then
we go to our second title match on the show, this time for the
Ring War six minute tell Us again. This time is Bull Cup Goals.
Austin and Colan got a j White defeating the champions Mo Embassy, Bishop Khn
Brian Kitchen to Leona a nine and a half minutes via Blake Runner on Bishop
Khn. This was actually a fun match. I just want a six out
of ten. So the match hap ends having where Prince Nonna, So it
was Conn and Jayne the ring and then now tries to hit one with the
sixth man tachite as Aubrey was strutted by com but we saw the aw Trio
Champion, Anthony Trio's Champion, Anthony Bonen's brother and stuff Nona and then Con
White go back forth before White, like I said, hits the play runner
and by Brian Cages working with a tour labor m or tour Pec muscle or
something not Pec massles sorry horror muscle on his arm. But so I think
that's why I took the six man tech Talles. But honestly, Bo wasn't
held of those for a long the top they don't really need them anymore,
but congratulation bowke up gold. Honestly, I do like ringing water like I'm
not as a big fans I used to be years ago, but honestly,
somet pointing these ringing mark tols on a w TV. Please You're doing good
for so long on Tony, but now it's just like, please stop.
And honestly, these six minutes, Honestly, I've seen a lot of people
on Twitter, uh talk about you to find the aw a ringmar six tile
man tag titles. Honestly I would not be actually kind of mad about that.
And well's speaking of the true theata. So they claim Billy Gun based
on starting with them and hoping to make the ultimate group the Bang Bang Scissor
Game. And then we go to Adam Cole War on the Back and base
Yal has grass shirts for the Speed Kingdom and he's gonna run over each opponent
until data ward tile was left and then it's the properly Underspeed Kingdom World.
All that he just say was boom. And then we go to Delon Prazzo
Firs and a j deal Prazell gets to win over and j six minutes and
forty one seconds by submission via I'm probably gonna butcher her finish her name,
so I do apologize venus Mallow. I believe I'm pronouncing that right. I
hope so. But it's basically just like a double arm food you want armbard,
That's basically what that is. So yeah, she gets to win a
fine little match five out of ten for me, as she is not final.
Sorry, I probably get just one of six out of ten as well.
I did this one. I did like this one. I tiny bit
better than the ring where they're kind of on the bottom of the list for
it. But I mean it was a fine little match. Did not have
to matchronate the quat gets in the prison of her two press of pictures in
just four days, and as she likes saying, in Tony Storm since she's
there, and then basically I'll just know what got into Tony Storm, actually
know for a long time DP like sisters and changed but her Storm handing on
a technician as saphi Rosa, so Tony start gets on Luther's shoulders and says,
technically speaking, Deanna is a tan hag and her pass them a bit
and there again, and I think she said stalker right in the box.
I mean, I'm not gonna say what it is. Basically just go look
it up. She hears that box are but I don't know what she's If
anyone knows, please let me know. I have no and didn't take a
shot at for a time or shoot basically doing her singer the willing throw a
shoot and Maria may threw another shoot, but Deanna caught it. And then
uh, basically they're having a shoe fight basically before Storm leaves on Luther's shoulder.
Oh boy, I say during the match, I like, who Tony
Storm caught it? She was actually great on commentary this week. Uh she
thought Rick and Bonnie was Tony Schaffoni, which I did get a laugh.
Thought that was pretty funny and then saying like he shaved last Wayne, et
cetera, and task It's like yeah, he yeah, he did try to
egg him on, but he was pretty funny. And then I think she
was feeding the macaroons. I think I seen she was feeding him some but
and then Penner hit his head. So a lot of people were pretty jealous
of Ian Rick Bonnie that night, but over all, the whole Tony storm
sament was funny and then I'm pretty sorry for this match to it might be
a revolution. Who knows. I was so good six five or six weeks
left, but I mean it was harmless. I liked it. This semi
ament. We go to Private Party, Mark Quinn and Isaiah Cassi getting the
win over tough like Starius and Dante Martin, where Mark Quinn h well,
uh Darius with his hand on the top rope at ten minutes and fifteen seconds.
I just want to seven out of ten as well. I actually went
not mind these two team uh running his back. Yeah, it was a
fun match. I actually did miss Private Party as attack. I'm kind of
glad they're a team together, not doing this stupid hardy party thing or thing
they did last year. But I wouldn't want actually part of part being a
little bit of heels, because I mean that was kind of he attacked his
towards the end. Didn't after the tweets, actually Dre come down in top
flight basically arguing about the ending of the match, and Private Party just celebrates
with the fans. But like I said, fun little ten in the match.
Seven out of ten for me, did we see a video from Stinging
Darby Allen showing out equate to a W as their we hear sting Sting Darby's
best was his favorite type part of all time. And they want to end
up being world tacked ships, So no mans bucks at all. But I
a stual, would not mind. Mostly I'm not a big fan when someone
retires and they wouldn't faking. But in this case, I actually would not
mind Stinging Darby. I should win the tag titles and then staying giving them
up unless Starry wants a new partner up. I don't know, but let's
wait and see. Then we go to Armament for the a w wor to
Smo Joe defensive to W champion hook and he retained at eight minutes and forty
one bice and mentioned via Cocaina coach. But like, this was a commercial
free main event, so this was really fun, less than timid a match.
I just want seven, honestly. I like this match a little bit
of the tt to match. This was my match all the night, honestly.
But I'll do my rating like my basic one for pop Yeah, one
for five sorry, one for six, sorry, considered six matches, but
I mean, man, some of the sponts As match on Joe putting Hope
for the table. I mean, poor Hook, he hit his head off
that and the table just broke. And then I like how Joe just stropped
around the ring. Now was funny. I could not stop lout with that
for a good five minutes, and I Hope flips him off so he powered
BOMs them on the aprin. I did like how Taz not like try to
help with some but like he had to take out because watch his son getting
beat up on the floor. So he said, I'm just gonna take my
head it off for a few minutes. I mean his back was like they
I think ex conversated swollen, but I couldn't see any swell. But I
mean his back a bruised after that, and then uh durnk so after before
the cleaning clutch bar, I like Joe hind the muscle busterer and Hook kicks
Al Mackley at one Actually some people complained about the one count. Obviously they
didn't. I'm not a big fan of either, but actually in this case
I did not mind it. I did like the t bonc bus from Hook
and Tats tell yelling to cover him and he puts the right round, but
Joe quickly escapes in that's the three arm thing. That's twice that actually Joe
has won matches with that, because that's how he won the world title.
But I did like at the begin the match where Hook just start hunching at
Joe at the beginning of which is smart but yeah, like I said,
really fun match. And then after the match, Hook basically starts yellow Joe
that's all he got, so he kicks him in the in the m bank
and then hits it leads on another bustle buster, so Joe leaves again,
but Hook gets them etails to come back, so those are Joe's got to
beat some or by him, and Page makes a save just show away.
Did we see Swerve in prints out watching the crowd as a crowd there nor
Charleston chainning for Swerve, And then they got to stare between him and Page
as Mojoe looks worried that he's got might have two challengers at Revolution, and
then Hook and Page salving the ring and then that's how we close out.
Uh, this week's tidy overall, really enjoyable episode. Down overall score,
I say, check out the show. Seven out of ten for me on
this show, I would say, I'll tell you my record and I'll give
you my list very quick. So I would say watch the TEND title match.
I should, yeah, Honestly, if I have to pick two matches
to skip, I say skip to six mant tag Tole match and Dion pros
and J but watch everything else. So if I had to go or I
say my match and I goes to the Tono match, that's my number one.
Number two, I'd say T and D title match. Number three.
I would say best Friends for Pentagon Commander number four would be proper for top
Flight number five, I say the women's match, and then the sixth minute
to match? Was I rerigine? Was that? I did? Say?
What else? I had to change my list couple of times. I did
have the one spent, but I kind of liked the battle the six min
tech tom. I showed that one on the bottom. If I had to
make up rating like one for six, that's my ratings. But on tonight's
ram page, Chris j Fs mats Side, Anthony Henry spent On, Junior,
christ Allen Firs, Quinn Amanita and Darby Alf Jeff Furry a rematch from
the twenty twenty two zero and Hard Cup tournament. Then on Collision only to
match made so far ten to match the Connor Crown chap Adye Kingston Ortiz for
Brian NEOs at in Clyde cust at Blackpool Comebay Club and Buddy Matthews versus Daniel
Garcia and nothing announced from next week get I met you, we'll probably get
the matches probably tonight and tomorrow, and then that's it for a e W
and then we'll go over to Ring the Honor episode forty some nine matches the
film for them at well the sorry film five of them at Daily's Place last
Wednesday, and then they filmed four matches on during the at the Colision tables
on January thirteenth. So I'll run down the nine matches and then I'll tell
you which ones for taped where. So opening match not a Roseman Erica Lee
two mits and forty one seconds for the Ringing War World six minutes sorry,
Ringing All World Tag Team Talls, Champions Unspeak, King of Potato Are souv
just Bullton Bronson six minutes and fifty three seconds. Claudic has only defeen Brian
give two mittes and forty eight seconds. Eight woman Tag to match Billy Starks,
Kira Hogan, Lay FROs, Queen Am Needham defeating Leia Hirsch Richoler Rober
Run again, Top About gret nine minutes and fourteen seconds, tied to match,
the Top Flight to Being Butcher in the Blade seven minutes to eight seconds,
mark Ersks being Spent to Go six minutes to twenty four seconds, De
Monte Devin Jerian Girl Ellie mid twenty seven for the TV Tol Coup Fledger retains
to Christen and It's thirteen seconds and then movement for the Triple A Mega Toll
oh he Vi Kingo retains were actually drag ten minutes and nine seconds. So
range for each match. The now the Roser two out ten, World TA
Team Tall Match five out of ten, Claudia First Bronchi seven out of ten.
Eight Women Tag Team match six out ten, Top five First Trim but
also six out ten, Mark Breswell for Spent to Go five out ten,
Demonte First Dream Girl elliott I give it a two out ten as well.
TV Toalm match six out ten, and the Triple A makes a seven out
of ten. So the first four matches that they so a Na Roads Erica
Lee match, the World Ti Tle Match, Kauti for Front into eight Women
Tay. We're all from the Collision tapings last Saturday, and then from Top
Flight Butcher and play Down. Basically the last five matches we're all from Daily's
place, so the Top Layers Butcher Boy first, Goo for Serpentaco, Demonte
first, d j E, and the the TV tal and Triple A make
it. Those are those five matches from daily splace. But that's the show
