Welcome back to Living Bowlingwood, Doctor Z, the <v Speaker 1>podcast where faith, faith fuels the journey, truth flights the way, <v Speaker 1>encourage leads the charge. Hold up now, I'm your host, <v Speaker 1>doctor Z. And today were talking about something we all <v Speaker 1>need in these times, something serious. I just got to <v Speaker 1>talk about it. You know, it's the power of resilience. <v Speaker 1>It's bouncing back from life's challenges. You know, we all <v Speaker 1>go through things sometimes, but it's in those times that <v Speaker 1>we have to know how to bounce's back and be resilience. <v Speaker 1>And overcome the challenges and have courage to keep going <v Speaker 1>and moving forward and overcome those challenges. Now, first off, <v Speaker 1>I going to get going and talk about what resilience is. <v Speaker 1>You know, sometimes people don't understand. I know a lot <v Speaker 1>of us know what resilience is, especially us bold ones <v Speaker 1>because we've been through it in life, you know. But <v Speaker 1>resilience is more than just surviving hardship. You know, it's <v Speaker 1>the ability to rise again and to fall and stand, <v Speaker 1>to be shaken but not destroyed. And I did do <v Speaker 1>a poem about rising and being shaken up and resilience. <v Speaker 1>It's on the Empowerment Blueprint podcast. If you haven't heard it, guys, <v Speaker 1>go check it out. It's a great poem. I wrote <v Speaker 1>it for Black History Month. And let me get back <v Speaker 1>on topic. But yeah, to fall and stand, to be <v Speaker 1>shaken but not destroyed, you know, to overcome, to be resilience. <v Speaker 1>And in a Bible and Second Corinthians, fourth chapter eight <v Speaker 1>through ninth, first it says that we are hard pressed <v Speaker 1>on every side, but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, <v Speaker 1>persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed. So <v Speaker 1>resilience is that God given bounce back power, and we <v Speaker 1>got to know how to use that. You know, it <v Speaker 1>doesn't mean you don't cry. It doesn't mean that you're <v Speaker 1>not gonna get tired or feel pain. It just means <v Speaker 1>that you refuse to stay down. You refuse to back down. <v Speaker 1>You're gonna refuse to give up when things happen in life, <v Speaker 1>and sometimes life happens to us. But God built us <v Speaker 1>strong to be able to be resilient and bounce back <v Speaker 1>in a powerful way whenever things like that do happen <v Speaker 1>to us. Now I'm gonna get into the setback that <v Speaker 1>sets you up, you know, the setback. Oh my god, <v Speaker 1>both once we know about that, huh excuse me, boas <v Speaker 1>we know about those setbacks. Oooh, those those setups you know. Now, <v Speaker 1>some of the greatest stories of triumph begin with tragedy, <v Speaker 1>loss or disappointment, you know. So in the Bible, there's <v Speaker 1>some stories of actual triumph, you know, and tragedy, loss <v Speaker 1>and disappointment. Like I was saying, the first one I'm <v Speaker 1>gonna talk about is Joseph. He was thrown in a pit, <v Speaker 1>false accused, imprisoned, and still ended up in the palace. Okay, <v Speaker 1>Joseph went through it. Baby and a pit false accused. Hey, <v Speaker 1>a lot of us go through this every single day <v Speaker 1>and falsely imprisoned also too. Come on now, but guess <v Speaker 1>what God gave us the gifts to be resilience and <v Speaker 1>a bounce back and to overcome through those tragedies and disappointments. <v Speaker 1>The second story of that's in the Bible is Job. <v Speaker 1>He lost everything, but God restored him double. And you know, <v Speaker 1>I can say in my life experiences, I've lost everything <v Speaker 1>before and what God did for me is what a <v Speaker 1>friend told me was gonna happen. God restored it double triple, <v Speaker 1>quadruple and so and still getting blessed to this day. <v Speaker 1>So God, like I said, gave us the gift to <v Speaker 1>bounce back double triple, quadruple and be better. Okay, the second, <v Speaker 1>well not the second, but the third amazing story. One <v Speaker 1>of my favorites is Jesus. He was crucified, he was <v Speaker 1>hung up on the cross that you know, we all <v Speaker 1>know the story of what happened to Jesus Christ. But <v Speaker 1>three days later he got up. Why because he was <v Speaker 1>resilient and he had that power within him that God <v Speaker 1>gave him to bounce back, and he refused to stay <v Speaker 1>down and he rose on the third day. Now, hear me, <v Speaker 1>that situation that almost broke you, it's setting the stage <v Speaker 1>for a comeback. Listen to me, believe me, I've been there, <v Speaker 1>I've done that. Resilience is spiritual warfare. And when you rise, <v Speaker 1>hell loses. The devil's not gonna win the day. And <v Speaker 1>when you keep going, generational curses break. And when you <v Speaker 1>don't give up, you provide. Well, no, when you don't <v Speaker 1>give up, let me get it right. You prove the <v Speaker 1>enemy wrong. And that's what we're here to do. That's <v Speaker 1>what God blessed us to do. That's why God instilled <v Speaker 1>in us resilience to be able to fight back against <v Speaker 1>the wilds and have resilience against spiritual warfare. Now, US <v Speaker 1>bold winds know about that, Boas and US general curse breakers, <v Speaker 1>we know about that also because we've been through hell <v Speaker 1>and we've been back and we fought to get back <v Speaker 1>where we need it to be. Now, how to cultivate resilience? <v Speaker 1>How do you do this? Because everyone hasn't had that yet. <v Speaker 1>You know, resilience isn't natural. I can tell you that. <v Speaker 1>Not everyone's the same. You know, it is developed. It <v Speaker 1>does take time. It's not gonna happen overnight, but here's <v Speaker 1>how you build it. The first thing you gotta do <v Speaker 1>is root yourself in the word. Your emotions shift, but <v Speaker 1>God's truth remains. So it says in Psalm chapter of <v Speaker 1>first verse, those who trust in the Lord are like <v Speaker 1>Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken. So if you got <v Speaker 1>to root yourself in a word, open up that, get <v Speaker 1>that book, and that will help you to start to <v Speaker 1>grow and build up your resilience to be able to <v Speaker 1>fight back. Number two, speak life over yourself. Your word <v Speaker 1>shape your reality. Say I will rise, I will heal, <v Speaker 1>I will overcome, I will be better. And another one <v Speaker 1>that I know about is that I am I am affirmation. <v Speaker 1>Excuse me, you can try those also, I am wonderful, <v Speaker 1>I am amazing, I am great, and I or I <v Speaker 1>will be better, or I will be stronger next time, <v Speaker 1>or I will work on this or that. You know, <v Speaker 1>speak life over yourself and believe me, you're gonna see <v Speaker 1>a change happen. It's not gonna happen overnight, but you'll <v Speaker 1>start feeling it and you'll have resilience and you'll see <v Speaker 1>yourself develop over time. Next, surround yourself with faith filled people. <v Speaker 1>You need warriors around you, not worriors. Get rid of <v Speaker 1>those toxic individuals. We only need bonds around us. So <v Speaker 1>if you got some people around you that's not faithful, <v Speaker 1>and they worrying you and getting on your nerves and <v Speaker 1>bothering you more than they're helping you out and supporting you, <v Speaker 1>get rid of those folks and surround yourself with faithful <v Speaker 1>people that will support you in your path, in your <v Speaker 1>journey for resilience and building that up and developing that. Okay, next, <v Speaker 1>take care of your body and mind. It's so important. <v Speaker 1>It's so important. I heard someone today saying, oh, I <v Speaker 1>don't meditate. No, I don't do that. That's not what <v Speaker 1>I do. I do something else. Well, you know what, <v Speaker 1>Meditation is important regardless if you don't do it, maybe <v Speaker 1>someone else does it. But it is a tool that <v Speaker 1>you can use. So there's all other types of tools <v Speaker 1>you can use too, like eating healthy and exercising and <v Speaker 1>mentally and spiritually and emotionally taking care of yourself too. <v Speaker 1>You know, that's the same of that's the same thing <v Speaker 1>as taking care of your body and your mind. So <v Speaker 1>resilience requires rest. It's okay to pause, you know, Jesus rested, <v Speaker 1>and so should you. Because again, guess what I be resting. <v Speaker 1>I be getting my risk us bold ones beget I <v Speaker 1>risk boom. You know what I'm saying, and a generation <v Speaker 1>of curse breakers do too, because it's hard work out <v Speaker 1>here in these streets. You know what I'm saying. I <v Speaker 1>got a bold move tip for you. All right, write <v Speaker 1>this down. Write down three things you've overcome in life. Ooh, <v Speaker 1>that's gonna help you so much to see your resilience, <v Speaker 1>reflect on what it taught you. You didn't make it <v Speaker 1>through that just to survive, you know, you made it <v Speaker 1>to teach, to empower to lead. So make sure you <v Speaker 1>write those three things down, all right. And now I'm <v Speaker 1>just gonna go over the test which becomes your testimony. Oo. <v Speaker 1>When you got that testimony. Oh yes, everything you faced <v Speaker 1>is not wasted. Your resilience is not just for you. <v Speaker 1>It's for the ones watching you, the ones coming behind you, <v Speaker 1>the ones who need to know that you can be <v Speaker 1>knocked down and still rise in power. In Revelations Chapter <v Speaker 1>twelve eleven verse, it says they overcame by the blood <v Speaker 1>of the lamb and by the word of their testimony. <v Speaker 1>So your bounce back. Story is a weapon. It's a light, <v Speaker 1>a road map, so share own it and let it <v Speaker 1>remind you that the power of God lives in you. <v Speaker 1>Is not on you, it's in you, and that nothing <v Speaker 1>in your face can cancel His plan for your life. Now, <v Speaker 1>I'm gonna get into my final words and prayers before <v Speaker 1>I get out of here tonight. Guys, Now, I want <v Speaker 1>to say that you may feel tired, but you're not finished. <v Speaker 1>And you may have lost something. You might have lost everything, <v Speaker 1>but you haven't lost everything. You know. You might have <v Speaker 1>lost everything you thought you lost everything, but that's an illusion. <v Speaker 1>You haven't lost everything. You still have some stuff left, <v Speaker 1>you know, And as long as you're still breathing, you've <v Speaker 1>got purpose and power. So let's pray God, thank you <v Speaker 1>for resilience. Thank you that we're not defined by our pain, <v Speaker 1>but by your promise. Help us to rise, to trust <v Speaker 1>and to walk in victory no matter what life throws <v Speaker 1>at us. Remind us that through you we can recover, <v Speaker 1>we can rebuild, and we can come back stronger than before. <v Speaker 1>In Jesus' name, I pray Amen. All right, Thank you <v Speaker 1>both once for tuning in bo to another amazing episode <v Speaker 1>of living boldly with doctor Z. And remember resilience isn't <v Speaker 1>weakness hiding pain no way, it's strength rising with purpose <v Speaker 1>and your remaid to bounce back. So before I get <v Speaker 1>out of here tonight, I just want to tell you <v Speaker 1>guys to make sure that kah Oh that you keep healing, <v Speaker 1>you keep grounking, and it's always keep living. Only love <v Speaker 1>you guys such such nyolo
