[SPEAKER_01]: Hey Andre, with Christmas behind us, yes. [SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna take a look at the future of trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: Specifically, the trucks that we're looking forward to seeing coming up in 2026 and 2027 and beyond. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly, but Roman, what happens if you are a patient supporter of ours and you're watching this life but it's slightly before Christmas. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the Merry Christmas to you. [UNKNOWN]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so we're happy to have you guys on the show with us yeah, both live and recorded and I'm super excited because I love you know new things and I love new trucks The question that people maybe wondering is where's case? [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly where is case like I have a bit of trivia for you Andre you may know the answer to this He is with Tommy and they are doing a dyno run [SPEAKER_01]: on a vehicle that has the least amount of horsepower that we've ever tested. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you a hint. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a truck. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'll give you the number. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you guys a number of horsepower that's producing. [SPEAKER_01]: And let's see if you can guess what the truck is. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you ready for it? [SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready. [SPEAKER_01]: 11. [SPEAKER_01]: A John Deere tractor. [SPEAKER_01]: It's producing 11 horsepower. [SPEAKER_01]: Am I right? [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a John Deere tractor. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a truck. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, produces. [SPEAKER_01]: So if you can guess Oh, it's doing the comments below what truck is producing a Tidey 11 horsepower. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, speaking of 11, this is episode 311. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that your favorite band? [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it's one of my favorite bands from the 90s if you've heard of 311 let us know in the comments Yeah, I think you guessed it what truck this is for love and horse power Thank you. [SPEAKER_01]: This is dedicated to 311. [SPEAKER_01]: All right Never heard of them buck. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna go with it. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay [SPEAKER_01]: All right, so like I said, let's talk about future trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: My favorite topic, future trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: But let's talk about the ones that we know are coming for sure. [SPEAKER_01]: Not the speculative ones, not the ones that are way out there, but the ones that are coming in 2026. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think we got to start with the big Kahona, which is the Chevy Silverado. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: And [SPEAKER_00]: why do we know it's coming soon? [SPEAKER_00]: It's because we've been seeing prototypes pretty much everywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: You've seen some of the heavy duty solar arrows in the mountains in Michigan. [SPEAKER_00]: They're running around every day. [SPEAKER_00]: It seems like there's prototypes and also recently there was a story just what a few days ago. [SPEAKER_00]: where the U.S. patent office published some images related to a patent that GM had, and it had these renderings and drawings of the next plural. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, it says in our story, 2027, I thought we're talking about 2026. [SPEAKER_00]: But you know how this works, right? [SPEAKER_00]: No, tell me. [SPEAKER_00]: You know this the model year of the truck is usually ahead of the year actual year So they're gonna unveil it as a 2027 in 2020. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, which is why we're talking about it now And so these renderings are something that they filed a patent done [SPEAKER_00]: Yes and it looks like a truck it looks like a very bulky very kind of chunky truck But also it will be cool. [SPEAKER_01]: It's somebody took those renderings and used AI to act for me Render it as a real truck. [SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't that be cool, Andre? [SPEAKER_01]: I think somebody did we got an email Yeah, somebody did that. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at that. [SPEAKER_00]: There you go. [SPEAKER_01]: You got that an email. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Who sent an email to us? [SPEAKER_01]: Do we know? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let me look tell us. [SPEAKER_01]: So there if you guys are listening to this unfortunately, you can't see it But one of our viewers sent us renderings from I think those patent filings and what's unusual about it is that It's not that unusual actually it kind of looks very much like the next Silverado you would think we're look like [SPEAKER_00]: It's like an evolution. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a revolution, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: But I think that's usually what happens when a vehicle is successful, right? [SPEAKER_00]: The manufacturers usually don't want to redesign the entire thing, right? [SPEAKER_00]: They just want to incrementally kind of update it and change it. [SPEAKER_00]: And our friend, C-Lig, thank you, C-Lig. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a sentence to us. [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, it's got kind of the current Chevy Silverado design language, which is a lot of horizontal lines, both in the front and in the back, very kind of like almost like, what's that Japanese word for when you do those little creatures that you uh, origami? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, very origami, right? [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of intersecting right angles. [SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, it's a hands-on looking truck. [SPEAKER_01]: It's got those squinty. [SPEAKER_01]: I think those are daylight running lights, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Those ones on top are DLRs. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you go back to the previous image, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So they've been doing this for a while now, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Where they kind of the daytime running light is up above. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a little bit thin, and it's kind of continues this way. [SPEAKER_00]: And then, kind of below it, it's a little bit different, but I think it's quite attractive. [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, this is not superficial, right? [SPEAKER_00]: This is kind of a rendering of a rendering, so we'll have to wait and see a little bit more. [SPEAKER_00]: What it's actually going to look at, like, but on our website, we also have had some posts about the 2027 Silverado prototypes testing in the wild. [SPEAKER_01]: What do we know about them? [SPEAKER_01]: pricing, do we know anything about off-roadyworthiness? [SPEAKER_01]: Any of that? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we know something. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Tell me. [SPEAKER_00]: For example, this story right there where our producer Cole is clicking over to. [SPEAKER_00]: So first of all, the truck you see here is a little bit higher. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you see how high it sits? [SPEAKER_00]: And it's got those bigger wheels and tires. [SPEAKER_00]: So the rumors are, is that they're going to go to 35s on some of their off-road [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so they're usually really kind of a little bit conservative and a little bit slow-ish to kind of go up entire sizes. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's because in the past before, you know, they did away with cafe standards and all that, bigger wheels and tires went better, better time spent at the pump because it meant worse fuel economy. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, because they're heavier, they're bigger, harder and harder. [SPEAKER_00]: More rolling resistance, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, remember, we were talking to several engineers also with Ram and GM and others who said, you know, when you get a bigger tire and the wheel on the truck, well, first of all, you have to change the suspension, usually. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, you have to, like, retest crash, you know, crash system. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's expensive. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it gets really expensive to actually do it from the factory and do it properly. [SPEAKER_00]: But we also think, Roman, that these trucks will have the new V8 engines. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it says in your headline, there are new 5.7 and 6.6 Gen 6 V8. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So, once again, there's a little bit of speculation again here because the this story came out on a GM kind of a forum enthusiast site and the 5.7 dude, my 2004 ski boat has a 5.7 Chevy, a 350 Chevy V8. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the rumor is that that displacement is going to come back and also the six six leader engine. [SPEAKER_01]: So is that the same six six they put in the HD truck or is that a different? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the same displacement, but it may be slightly different. [SPEAKER_00]: So there could be maybe different. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, or maybe some of the internals may be a little bit different Yeah, sometimes they change the stroke or the bore of the engine. [SPEAKER_01]: So I kind of feel like the five three and the six two have been around forever I say I can remember that have been and so potentially more horsepower [SPEAKER_01]: Since you've got more. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and hopefully better clean cleaner burning right so hopefully a little maybe a little bit better emissions and also maybe a better efficiency So that's that could be a really cool. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think I remember right the 5-3 was 355 and the 6-2 is 420 and so with 0.3 liters more give or take you're probably looking at a 50% [SPEAKER_00]: 50 horsepower up maybe if you're lucky so instead of you know small engine being 350 it might be close to 400 and then like the big engine might be close to the 460 70 and we cool yeah they'll be sweet because if you're looking at competition right so ram just came out with a you know hurricane engines Which are not V8s, but which are very very powerful and over 500 horsepower over [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so six twin turbo. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So GM really needs to stay up with the game and really is there any turbo charging potential. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we think they're going to retain the two seven right the engine that you talk about these two so five seven naturally aspirated. [SPEAKER_00]: We haven't heard any rumor after by charging, okay, but would not be cool. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think GM has done well with their engines. [SPEAKER_01]: not so well with their salinity activations and transmissions, but maybe the engines are okay, so maybe they'll stick to having any engines, natural aspirated engines, just because that sets of a part from both Toyota and Ford. [SPEAKER_00]: But you know how they combat the C-8, you know, they came out with the engine and then they CR-1 and then the CO-6 and then the CR-1 and so I don't know if they're going to have the similar progression and also we don't have any news yet [SPEAKER_00]: if they're really going to go after the Raptor trucks and TRXs of the world. [SPEAKER_00]: We know this year or two is coming back, but we're not sure if they're going to have that supercharged 78. [SPEAKER_01]: One could argue that that's one of the biggest misses for GM and that they don't really have Raptor fighter. [SPEAKER_01]: You could argue that the Hummer is kind of a Raptor fighter, but really isn't right. [SPEAKER_01]: It's an electric versus supercharged. [SPEAKER_01]: It's very different animal, literally. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so it would be nice for them to actually come up with an normally, let's call it, either supercharged or turbocharged, yeah, or afterfighter, because they certainly have now the off-road cred, the keep making the hummer EV better off-road, they have the AEV edition in their mid-sized trucks which are incredibly good. [SPEAKER_01]: We have that 84x which is mind-blowingly good. [SPEAKER_01]: So why not get a full size one and go go be on the trail boss Maybe what's what's beyond a boss? [SPEAKER_01]: The senior manager Silverado C-suite Quarter office corner office. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there you go. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow something a little bit better than just the boss [SPEAKER_01]: All right, now speaking of something that is coming that we kind of sort of can talk about, but Ram has been teasing something coming on the New Year, Andre. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we have a little story about this on our home page as well, too. [SPEAKER_01]: What are they been teasing? [SPEAKER_00]: Can we talk about three letters? [SPEAKER_00]: Three letters? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, T-R-X. [SPEAKER_00]: Really? [SPEAKER_00]: So, well, they didn't come out and say it in those words, but the CEO of the Lontus. [SPEAKER_00]: What a month or two ago, said a V8 power TRX is coming back. [SPEAKER_00]: So they made kind of that statement. [SPEAKER_00]: And I know stuff about it that I cannot talk about. [SPEAKER_01]: So what you're hinting at is if you want to know everything there is to know about this truck, come back. [SPEAKER_01]: Just a first date, maybe another week. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there might be some news. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's coming. [SPEAKER_01]: Because the only thing they did show a video with like sand blowing in the wind. [SPEAKER_01]: I wish we had more than sandblown in the wind. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's just a truck, a truck blowing in the sand blowing in the wind. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wait. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's a V8. [SPEAKER_01]: A little clip. [SPEAKER_01]: There it is. [SPEAKER_01]: There is. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're watching this, there is the sand blowing in the wind. [SPEAKER_01]: It's also out of focus. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's that's how fast it's blowing. [SPEAKER_01]: I was expecting I could jump, you know, a giant like 35 Tired, just flying through there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, wait cool go go back a second and then start to the main page of rams up there What's the nothing stops ram? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh wait, they just set up premier Roman you saw this [SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, do you see that cloud of sand? [SPEAKER_00]: Is there a tree behind that cloud? [SPEAKER_00]: So there you go, Cole. [SPEAKER_00]: We just saw the cloud, right there. [SPEAKER_01]: It says for me, in nine days, January 1st at 8 a.m. 8 a.m. That must be, well, when we can publish a video. [SPEAKER_00]: No, that might be, that's a specific time, I don't know if you just say it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we need to make sure because we can't blow in bargo. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we could, but we would never test another ram. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't ever again, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we don't break in bargos on trays. [SPEAKER_00]: No, we never know. [SPEAKER_01]: There are other people who do that. [SPEAKER_01]: Not us. [SPEAKER_01]: We're doing. [SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So, I think that's going to be some big news coming. [SPEAKER_01]: So, we just broke news, Remy. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we broke news that says nothing stops around. [SPEAKER_01]: For me in nine days at a damn we don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, if it's you know California It could be it could be a new work truck room. [SPEAKER_01]: It could be saw any time with all its ambulance and there there could be inside Arabian I think people know it's a three-letter word on Jay. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you know what else opens up on like the third of January. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the Dakar rally. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the next running of Dakar. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, now it's Saudi Arabia. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not an Africa, of course. [SPEAKER_01]: And speaking of like super trucks forward, and we have seen nothing or heard nothing official, but Farley keeps teasing that they're either going to build an off-roady truck. [SPEAKER_01]: or an off-rody car. [SPEAKER_01]: So the T's is that Ford, and this is a truck show, but we can talk about it since we're kind of talking about fuel off-roaders. [SPEAKER_01]: The Ford is working on how they have the GTV, which is the ultimate track Mustang. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, there might be an ultimate off-road Mustang coming, or something, or a lift-ed sports, some more to the car. [SPEAKER_01]: I did a video like a half a year ago. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, saying four, it should build an off-road Mustang, and everybody can yand, but now I may have been early, maybe too early, and maybe this is something that is coming as well. [SPEAKER_00]: Well remember, even like year to ago, there was some rumblings of an off-road Mustang, because like the Porsche 911 Dakar, right, and, you know, the Lamborghini, you know, dipping its toe into slightly more off-road worthy IVR calls. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what they need to do. [SPEAKER_01]: This is my forward gym. [SPEAKER_01]: I know we don't want to each other and I've given you a lot of, let's call it crap over the years for building a $400,000 Mustang and I stick to that. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going to give you a free one here, okay? [SPEAKER_01]: And I'll ask you on straight if you think this would sell. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So as you know, there is a raptor. [SPEAKER_01]: Raptor. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there's a Raptor R. Yes, there's a Ranger Raptor, which by the way we've owned at $50,000, it's probably the most bang for your buck you're going to get out of any truck mid-size or otherwise. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there is a tremor heavy duty truck. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, which is, you know, kind of like Ford's version of the power wagon and there is a tremor maverick. [SPEAKER_01]: but there should be a raptor, maverick. [SPEAKER_01]: I wanna see a raptor, maverick. [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel like maybe they should go with a raptor, heavy duty, but the problem with heavy duty trucks is they're just too big and heavy and wide. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't wanna go off-roading and then, it's just, I'll leave that to you, Nomog, you know, or leave that to our general there. [SPEAKER_01]: But I think I would be over the moon if Ford built a true raptor, maverick. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, the maverick is built on the escape chassis. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is Broncosport chassis also Broncosport so it may not be the right platform But imagine like a serious because the tremor is just kind of you know There's no more horsepower. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just got kind of stickers and better tires and a little bit of a lift But imagine it to actually build a Raptor with a capital R [SPEAKER_01]: Maverick. [SPEAKER_01]: Would you buy that? [SPEAKER_01]: Let's call it. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's say a tremor's like now 40 some k right? [SPEAKER_01]: It's like 42 40. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so so 42 for a tremor and then the range of raptor is 57 so how about let's go 49 for a maverick raptor. [SPEAKER_01]: I would buy that [SPEAKER_01]: I would too. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would. [SPEAKER_00]: And cool. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think Ford could do that before the Super Duty Raptor, because a Super Duty tremor is already 90,000, 95,000, right? [SPEAKER_00]: You could trim it up, you know, you could load it up with many options. [SPEAKER_00]: And plus it's heavy, like you said, so making a heavy-duty Raptor would be very difficult in my opinion. [SPEAKER_00]: but making a smaller little baby raptor. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's really cool. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think the thing that would make it work is not only does the Maverick have a both ton of payload, so you're not, you know, you're starting with what $400 of payload already. [SPEAKER_01]: So even if you do give it bigger shocks and better make it heavier. [SPEAKER_01]: You could still have enough payload to make it a usable truck, but the magic of the of the Maverick is the interior is almost as big as a Ranger right me and you we had for a year We had the the the Maverick all-wheel drive hybrid and we're a pretty big guys And we both fit comfortably now [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think there's something, you know what, it's got, it's got that kind of gymney appeal, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's longing for a small, cute, capable, serious off-roader, and there is nothing in the truck world. [SPEAKER_01]: Once you get, you know, below the, the range of size, and the problem is rangeers are big. [SPEAKER_01]: They used to be small, but now they're big. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, today's rangeer is probably the same size as an F-150, like two generations, maybe three. [SPEAKER_00]: I think, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Gosh, I think Ford's Raptor, you know, many manufacturers do this, you know, when Chevy builds a ZR2 or Ford builds a Raptor, there's certain testing you have to meet, right? [SPEAKER_00]: And those tests are very tough, you know, Afro-Tas, towing, tests, all kinds of stuff they throw at those trucks. [SPEAKER_00]: That could be interesting, in fact, could do it. [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, President Trump just threw out this K-car thing. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's just a, I was just reading a story on MPR about K-Cars and how people actually love them. [SPEAKER_01]: I think there's a community that would, would, would bond around a small a K-Truck Raptor. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we, we have, we have, we have, we have. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we have ever seriously tested even a tremor Maverick because it just doesn't have a low range, as far as I know, right? [SPEAKER_01]: It's got that little gold thing, but there's no true low range. [SPEAKER_00]: No, because it just has an 8 speed automatic, it's just basically a 2 liter, yeah, just a 2 liter turbocharged. [SPEAKER_01]: And without a low range, it's kind of [SPEAKER_01]: It's not a poser, but it's never going to like go and do how to real McCoy, let's say. [SPEAKER_00]: But you know what Don is here, Don and Elliott and Jason, thank you very much for joining us on our live show. [SPEAKER_00]: These are patrons. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, patreon.com. [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want to be here while we record the show and ask us questions, where should they go on, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Patreon.com slash TFL car. [SPEAKER_01]: And you guys make that possible? [SPEAKER_01]: So are there any questions we should answer before we proceed to like the next truck that's coming? [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so Don has a couple comments. [SPEAKER_00]: Don also mentions K truck and he says when you need to dino a K truck after you've dino the model T. Yeah, that's a good idea. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for that suggestion. [SPEAKER_00]: I just said. [SPEAKER_01]: You just gave it away. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I go by now they would have they would have probably typed their answers in anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: It's too late now. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're typing your answers like 20 minutes into the show, we won't count it. [SPEAKER_00]: I forgot. [SPEAKER_00]: That's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: And then Dan also said that he knows that we've [SPEAKER_00]: uh... put uh... every new truck on the i gauntlet already but he says what if you bought three or so ten year old use pickup trucks and then act the heck out of those trucks we tried uh... it hasn't really taken we've tried but i think it's a good idea that you if the trucks are the right trucks well it there's two issues with it first of all we've been doing the like for how many years [SPEAKER_01]: 13. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so 13 years. [SPEAKER_01]: So we probably have to be older than that. [SPEAKER_01]: So I do really want us to like a 20-year-old truck We tried that. [SPEAKER_01]: Do we like that OBS truck? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we did and it wasn't super popular. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't remember anymore It wasn't it wasn't fly-off to shelf, but it would did it by itself. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think comparing older vehicles So comparing all was always always works [SPEAKER_01]: Andrew, I'm going to put my editors hat on, and I'm going to say this. [SPEAKER_01]: The problem with hiking 20-year-old trucks is that the hike is not only entertaining, but it's also a very important video that people use when they make a buying decision. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because they're using that to determine if they want to buy a vehicle or a truck one versus the other because of the fact that one toes this one toes that. [SPEAKER_01]: There's not a lot of people buying 20-year-old trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, it's a buyer video to a large extent. [SPEAKER_00]: Sure. [SPEAKER_01]: Now you got to talk to enthusiast. [SPEAKER_01]: And if I'm an enthusiast, it's about street cred also. [SPEAKER_01]: And why do you mean? [SPEAKER_01]: It's about street cred. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, have you ever heard that? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you show up to a car, some coffee, and you're like, hey, how much does your truck tow? [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody say that? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm toast 10,000. [SPEAKER_00]: I think truck guys talk about that every day Every single day or a true truck. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't right here. [SPEAKER_01]: He's he's I pull up to a car. [SPEAKER_01]: You're at the dark horse here in Boulder having a burger and a beer What's your payload exactly? [SPEAKER_01]: I want to see your payload Show me yours. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll show you mine. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on. [SPEAKER_01]: Show me that sticker [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, you know me. [SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for the suggestion, but okay, but we do want to actually you want to like truck-based VROS UVs. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be, we've done every truck so now we want to move on to the SUVs. [SPEAKER_01]: I think people tow with like suburbans and towers and such and I think that's a good, good buyer video. [SPEAKER_00]: Jason says Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to you, and then Elliott is here, we just afroited sports cars myself, I lifted a mondial, did I say that correctly? [SPEAKER_00]: No, mondial, no dial. [SPEAKER_00]: It was pretty cool, did think of certain folks as we plowed through a stream on the side of the Italian Alps. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow, Elliott. [SPEAKER_01]: This is mondial. [SPEAKER_01]: Can you look up a mandial please? [SPEAKER_01]: Mandial. [SPEAKER_01]: A Ford Mandial. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Ford Mandial is a common car. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to have a mandial. [SPEAKER_00]: That's a Ferrari mandial. [SPEAKER_00]: Are you talking about the Ferrari? [SPEAKER_01]: Are you talking about the Ferrari? [SPEAKER_01]: Are you talking about Ferrari? [SPEAKER_01]: Sports cars also must be a Ferrari. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, I'm I stand corrected and I'm impressed both Well, if you off-road at this Ferrari Elliott, this is super sweet. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you have video? [SPEAKER_00]: Can you share some video with us? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, shoot it over to ask a TFL Yeah, that's a TFL truck. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, come on. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's keep going with the trucks that we're looking forward to in 2026 Another truck we know is definitely coming is the new ram range extended [SPEAKER_00]: Rev. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Tell me about that truck Andre. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we know a lot about this ram. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, when we didn't know some stuff about the other couple of things we've mentioned, the rev, we know a lot about. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's got 640 horsepower from two electric motors. [SPEAKER_00]: It's got a V6 pentastar engine as a range extender underneath the hood. [SPEAKER_00]: It also means that the ram rev doesn't have a frunk. [SPEAKER_00]: because there's a generator, basically, underneath them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a more traditional track. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: So exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: So there are upsides, and there are some downsides, and some of the upsides, and downsides are obvious, and some are. [SPEAKER_01]: So let me give you the obvious ones, and I'll give you the ones that aren't so obvious. [SPEAKER_01]: So obviously the way that it works is you have two basic power trains, so you have an electric motor and you have an internal combustion engine and the electric motor turns the wheels and the internal combustion engine in this case the penistar generates electricity which feeds the battery which then turns the motor which then turn the wheels. [SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of like a [SPEAKER_01]: good. [SPEAKER_01]: The upside that that of course is that you can tow with it and you have all the electric torque and power that you need so you don't have to stop for 45 minutes and no because you can have that penistar generating power. [SPEAKER_01]: The other upside is that if you don't charge it up, [SPEAKER_01]: You can still drive it around, kind of like a plug-in hybrid and go on the road trip. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you don't have to have a full battery, and the obvious downside is that you're carrying around two power trains, so now you've got to repair a motor and an engine, you've got all the complexity of both combined even for more complexity, so those are kind of the obvious ones, but there's some of the less obvious ones. [SPEAKER_01]: What is it? [SPEAKER_01]: First and foremost, payload on Dre, because you know, we know that if you want the most amount of towing you have to have the most amount of payload and when you're dragging around both and in trunk a bunch of engine and a big ass heavy battery, you're gonna lose a lot of payload. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but not the case here. [SPEAKER_00]: So Ram did some magic with his suspension and they actually are quoting Roman. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what they're quoting Okay, they're quoting about 2,600 pounds of payload and 14,000 pounds of towing on their Range extended truck Even Cole almost fell off his chair when he just heard this Um, so I don't know how I seem pretty chill over there. [SPEAKER_00]: I was sorry Too shocked by that [SPEAKER_00]: No, I mean, so basically it's almost a heavy duty, right? [SPEAKER_00]: So yes, I totally get it, it's going to weigh quite a lot, but they gave it the suspension and the capability, so hopefully it will be quiet capable as far as payload is concerned. [SPEAKER_00]: But you know what else? [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't, oh. [SPEAKER_00]: He said it was a Ferrari. [SPEAKER_00]: No, that's so cool, dude. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow. [SPEAKER_01]: Please send us a picture. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to see that thing. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to see you off-roading it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: We want to see you off-roading. [SPEAKER_01]: Good for you. [SPEAKER_01]: I stand corrected. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So another not so obvious, and I know this from personal experience, issue is that you need a relatively large internal combustion engine to provide enough [SPEAKER_01]: power to actually keep the battery charged so you can spin the electric motor so you can spin the wheels and that means you do have a big internal combustion engine or you use it a lot which means it's going to be thirsty. [SPEAKER_01]: So it could be very, very thirsty because now you've got this pen to star like you know spinning its little legs off just to keep enough energy flowing into the battery so you can keep towing. [SPEAKER_01]: This is going to be an issue. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and of course they shoot that is like you're all basically it's like even if you're towing flat you're like going up the ice so then you've got issues with and you know that the penistar loves the rev so it's going to be very there's a question about how loud this is generated and how much fuel you're using so how much fuel you're using is it powerful enough to maintain that climbing especially we'll find out obviously but you could potentially be looking ahead a truck that if you don't charge up the battery before you leave [SPEAKER_01]: So, it uses a lot more fuel than if you didn't have the electric motor slash battery. [SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, so RAM has addressed a lot of these questions. [SPEAKER_00]: Even though we haven't driven one and we haven't seen one like a production one in real life yet, they did say that they're going to always kind of maintain the reserve and the battery, right? [SPEAKER_00]: So, maybe [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the the meter of the battery of the electric battery, which is 92 kilowatt hours, it might be going to low But there's still a big chunk of it kind of left behind Okay, but let's say you're going up from Denver to the top of the as an hour tunnel. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's a 45 mile stretch of straight up and you're towing max [SPEAKER_01]: Did RAM test it that way? [SPEAKER_01]: So what happens if you hit that 20% reserve, then do you go below that 20% reserve? [SPEAKER_01]: Or does the truck, like the I3 did, right? [SPEAKER_01]: So we had this experience where I took your I3 now when we owned it and drove it to Keystone. [SPEAKER_01]: And when I got to Idaho Springs, I'd used up the entire battery. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I was doing 25 miles an hour with that little Kimco. [SPEAKER_01]: engine power going up by 70 and then when I got to love them pass I was doing 50 miles an hour so it kept going but more my God was I going slow. [SPEAKER_00]: Well Ram said that they have addressed this but we haven't tested it so so we can't really speak to it in the real terms but Ram said they're thinking about all those use cases. [SPEAKER_00]: But you know what use case I don't know about is the price, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to be a big one. [SPEAKER_00]: So if they price it just right, it's going to be, it could be very successful. [SPEAKER_00]: If they price it in a wrong way, you know, as a high loaded option truck, which they said there's going to be multiple trim levels of this truck. [SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully they'll have something for a lot of us. [SPEAKER_01]: I got this sneaky feeling, Andre, that like 20 years, some of our 10 years from now, [SPEAKER_01]: People will look at extended range vehicles like this, plug-in hybrids, and they'll be like, what the hell were they thinking? [SPEAKER_01]: Why did they subject themselves to having a motor and internal combustion engine in the same vehicle? [SPEAKER_01]: You know, all the maintenance that that needs, you know, there's all kinds of issues. [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll talk about the other issues. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we're knocking on the door of getting batteries that not only have the new BMW IX-C3, 500 miles of range, 500 miles of range, [SPEAKER_01]: And I think we're not too far from like a thousand miles of range and from that perspective, right? [SPEAKER_01]: If you have a battery that does a thousand miles of range and you could put that in a truck, now you're looking at a realistic range of, let's say, towing 300 miles, which is what you would get. [SPEAKER_01]: And then the other part of that equation, of course, is how fast can they charge? [SPEAKER_01]: And China already has batteries to charge in minutes, not hours, not, you know, not 45 minutes, but like 10 minutes. [SPEAKER_01]: And 10 years from now, if there are batteries capable of holding [SPEAKER_01]: enough charge and charging quickly enough to go a thousand miles, then these kind of dual vehicle, dual power plant, power plant vehicles are going to seem pretty pretty expensive and silly and complicated. [SPEAKER_01]: I agree, absolutely. [SPEAKER_01]: And then it's a transitional thing. [SPEAKER_01]: And then like you get this other institutional thing. [SPEAKER_01]: So for instance, a great thing about a plug-in hybrid is if you just zip around town with it, you never need to actually run the internal combustion engine. [SPEAKER_01]: But then, at some point, the engine has to turn on because you need to, you need to have it run a little bit to make sure that everything is working properly. [SPEAKER_01]: And so, like, does your wife's eye three does the engine turn on? [SPEAKER_01]: Every so often just for, yeah, maintenance sake? [SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely. [SPEAKER_01]: I was gonna say, and grains, but... No, it's wheelswear. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: No, no, of course it does. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, she uses it, I would say, in a weekly basis, because, you know, her commute is 50 miles. [SPEAKER_00]: And the car has what? [SPEAKER_00]: maybe 70 miles of range on the great summer day. [SPEAKER_00]: A few of mine's the 2014. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's 11, it's on the 11 year old car. [SPEAKER_00]: So yes, her generator starts and we've changed oil. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, ourselves on this little generator. [SPEAKER_00]: We actually jacked up the car. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a plug, right? [SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about the I3 if you're wondering, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Now we're changing oil. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we bought it. [SPEAKER_01]: I spent like $2,000 because of the charcoal filter. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so that was, but since then, it's been actually pretty good. [SPEAKER_01]: So thank you for doing this. [SPEAKER_01]: Of course. [SPEAKER_01]: Time will tell Andre, but there are downsides to these plugin hybrids, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's like, oh, that's the solution. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll see. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll test it. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't wait to test it. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll take it. [SPEAKER_00]: I agree with you, I hate that solution, but it may be, you know, it may be a necessary evil. [SPEAKER_00]: So to speak, because, you know, right now the batteries may be too expensive to produce and know those volumes. [SPEAKER_00]: So maybe this is a kind of a transitional thing where we need to go this way. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think we're getting to the point where batteries are actually getting cheap and forward just announced, obviously, that they're no longer doing that joint venture partnership with is it SLK SK? [SPEAKER_00]: SK? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because they're supposed to build three, three battery plants and now they're going to basically use one of those plant-stubilt batteries to back up like, uh, [SPEAKER_00]: Data centers. [SPEAKER_00]: Data centers. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think battery supplies no longer an issue and batteries just like hard drives at one point, just like storage or getting cheap. [SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, we may be switching just at the wrong time and the last thing I'm going to say about an extended range vehicle because there's another one coming as well, which will get to in a second is I loved the front on the truck, a front on a truck is exceptionally useful. [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of a game changer. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because you don't have the truck, right? [SPEAKER_01]: And you don't probably have a cover on the bed and so having a front on a truck is [SPEAKER_01]: It's very healthy, it's very good. [SPEAKER_00]: This is where you can put your junk in the trunk, yeah, no, no, but this is key because even if you have a tunnel cover on the back of your truck, you're stuck in the roll around, right? [SPEAKER_00]: If you don't have the compartment, it's a big five foot. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if you put a suitcase back there, you know, it's going to launch itself into the front of the bed and then launch itself back and so having a covered kind of weather-protected area like that, it's going to lose it. [SPEAKER_01]: Alright, next truck that is coming next year, it starts with an S, ends with an E and it's got a late in the middle. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, or a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm of course talking about the slate, slate, which is the Jeff Bezos, sort of kind of Amazon, uh, back, back. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and, um, [SPEAKER_01]: This is a truck I've been seeing a lot of on social media like one of them I tick talk I'm seeing a lot of ads for it same thing on YouTube. [SPEAKER_01]: So there is some money behind it and they are working hard you said it was just on Jaylanos garage where they wrapped it in his companies or his garage. [SPEAKER_01]: He's garage is logo yeah yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's supposed to come in 2026. [SPEAKER_01]: Once upon a time, it was supposed to be a $20,000 truck. [SPEAKER_00]: Now it's $27. [SPEAKER_00]: We think, we don't even think it's pricing, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So we had, so, full disclosure, you had a reservation? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and what you do with it? [SPEAKER_01]: I canceled my reservation. [SPEAKER_01]: Why did you cancel your reservation? [SPEAKER_00]: It's personal, not company, it's personal, yeah, because we have a company reservation. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for one. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I have a personal reservation, and well, it's just that there's a couple things going on. [SPEAKER_00]: First of all, I got super psyched, like I get always when there's a new product, I'm like, you know, a squirrel, I'm seeing, you know, seeing the new [SPEAKER_00]: And then the wife squirrel comes in there and it just smacks to your cross-to-face. [SPEAKER_01]: She gives you a squirrel dope slap. [SPEAKER_00]: Like bad Andre. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, there was a little bit of that. [SPEAKER_00]: And then like when they launched the slate, so it was a little bit like I'm joking. [SPEAKER_00]: My wife doesn't smack me. [SPEAKER_00]: No, you can all go away. [SPEAKER_00]: No, but like partially it was [SPEAKER_00]: A personal thing where I didn't like appreciate how they launched their vehicles, so that was a very personal thing on my side. [SPEAKER_00]: But I also thought to myself, you know what, I need to talk about. [SPEAKER_00]: I won't be able to tell anything large with this. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, it just didn't match what I needed. [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, times are changing quickly, and I kind of feel like this concept for this vehicle was thought up like four or five years ago when everybody was all EV gunheads. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So, somebody put together, you know, a plan. [SPEAKER_01]: They kind of went down the road that, of course, Rivian went down. [SPEAKER_01]: We've seen this road a lot where they're trying to get people who aren't truck buyers. [SPEAKER_01]: to buy into a truck, you know, there's a lot of people out there who would appreciate the utility of your truck, what's going to amount of the SUV, and put them into a truck, and we'll do it by creating a very cheap and affordable, and we'll do this kind of modular approach where you could buy the basic truck, and then you could like, you know, make it into SUV if you want, or you could, you know, add whatever, it's basic, you could add whatever, and the idea is good, but the, the, [SPEAKER_01]: The concept that there's this pool of buyers who are in truck people who will buy into this and you'll get them out of there, RAF4s and their CRVs, I think is flawed, that's my biggest issue with it. [SPEAKER_01]: I think if they actually built this truck and tried to sell it and they're still not doing it to actual truck buyers, people who buy trucks, let's say that you're a long guy. [SPEAKER_01]: And right now, you're running around and you have some, let's say, an old Tacoma. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, an old Tacoma. [SPEAKER_01]: This would might be a perfect trick because all you're doing is kind of driving around town. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, you could throw your lawnmower in there. [SPEAKER_01]: You could throw your, you could throw your debris in there. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's cheaper to run than it is, you know, to run a 10 year old Tacoma, whatever it is. [SPEAKER_01]: I think if they actually went after those people, then I think there might be a business case. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not sure there's a pool of people out there who want a 25 or 29,000 dollar electric truck that they can customize that has rolled down windows because we've seen it time and time again. [SPEAKER_01]: Your comments, I'm pointing to you, what's the kind of the Ferrari, what was this name call? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's Elliott. [SPEAKER_01]: Elliott. [SPEAKER_01]: Elliott. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, nice to see you again. [SPEAKER_01]: Elliott. [SPEAKER_01]: Your comments often are, you know, I need an affordable truck. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe not yours because you got a Ferrari. [SPEAKER_01]: How about Don? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, down. [SPEAKER_01]: You're coming to like more affordable truck. [SPEAKER_01]: What happened to the cheap truck? [SPEAKER_01]: And then somehow the trucks that are at the dealerships of the cell are always the King Ranch or the Platinum, you know, you promote expensive. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, someone's buying those things. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not sure [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think you nailed it on hand there because I think like your local parts store fleet might use slate trucks, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Because they're small, they can go short distances perfectly well and they can deliver all kinds of parts through your local parts store or whatnot and bring them back and maybe deliver food or something like that. [SPEAKER_00]: But outside of those use cases for [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, how about the guy who's running in the Amazon boxes and presents around, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Because they always have like the Amazon fans, but there's always some guy, or yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's grand charioteers, and he's called a pretty lot of fuel, you know, delivering. [SPEAKER_01]: That would be a perfect use case. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I say this is because... [SPEAKER_01]: None of the people at Slate seem to have contacted us, even though we have the biggest truck YouTube channel for new truck reviews, but they don't seem to care about our audience, and so I think, you know, and even now you can see it, instead of going after an [SPEAKER_01]: But I kind of wondering like, well, there's this pool of YouTubers that do nothing by trucks and have a giant truck audience, but let's go and talk, you know, let's wrap the car and Jay's log truck and Jay's logo and give it to him because, you know, he's got the direct line of truck buyers. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he needs to run some parts. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he probably doesn't need to run parts. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he's running parts. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Up and down. [SPEAKER_01]: Except, I mean, where do you get a, like, 93 de Soto? [SPEAKER_01]: Where do you get that part? [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe he's local 3D print shop or something. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: But he could certainly use one. [SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see, as TFO, we still have a reservation out. [SPEAKER_01]: We'd love to get our hands on one. [SPEAKER_01]: We do buy these vehicles, but because of the way that the YouTube model is changing that number of trucks that we're buying is also going to change next year. [SPEAKER_01]: So [SPEAKER_01]: Slate, if you want to get your truck in front of a large audience, you should maybe contact us and help us get one so that we could actually review it Because if we get it first, we're going to be all over it. [SPEAKER_01]: If we get it [SPEAKER_01]: Last or third, our reservation is going to go the way of, you know, Andre's and we're going to get a hundred bucks back. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is not a threat. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just a reality of the business model that we're living in today. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So, Slates coming, Silverado's coming next year, Rams coming, anything else coming next year that we know for certain before we start getting into the ones that are kind of pushed out farther. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's the big gorilla we haven't mentioned, which is Ford, and we haven't heard anything solid about Ford, right? [SPEAKER_00]: We know they're 2026 model year trucks are kind of shipping right now, you know, they have the super duties and of course, you know, they have on 50 years and [SPEAKER_00]: All that stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: We know the lightning isn't coming. [SPEAKER_00]: We know the lightning isn't coming, but the lightning actually they have a 2026 They've got enough stock. [SPEAKER_00]: So there's yeah, it might be around, but they stopped production. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but you can buy at 2026 the lightning which is surprising similar to the 2025 or 4 or 3 or the one we have and then [SPEAKER_00]: And we haven't seen any prototypes from Ford, right? [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen the Chevy prototypes. [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen some of the other prototypes, even the RAM, the Ford is at the end of the year behind on the launch of a new F-150 at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so we can tell. [SPEAKER_01]: So we haven't heard from the normal, exactly, from the normal cadence, I would say. [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll have to wait and see what Ford does, especially with some of their new products. [SPEAKER_01]: Fort is a little sneaky sometimes. [SPEAKER_01]: They like wait to see what the competition does. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, they're kind of like just hanging out and then all of a sudden they pounce. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they're like me, but then you track. [SPEAKER_01]: Like you in the school. [SPEAKER_01]: No, seriously, that's how they do. [SPEAKER_01]: That's how they do, man. [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, hey, let's see what Ram's doing. [SPEAKER_01]: And then next thing, Ram comes out with this truck with this much payload and the next day, there's a press release from Ford. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, our truck has, [SPEAKER_00]: they're listening to this podcast and they saw us breaking the news about the announcement on January 1st. [SPEAKER_00]: And there might be cooking something up right now. [SPEAKER_01]: Well my question about the January 1st announcement is if we think it is what it is, we'll have more horsepower than a wrap your hour. [SPEAKER_01]: That's my question. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the million dollar question. [SPEAKER_01]: That is, so he has to come back or a billion dollar. [SPEAKER_01]: Am I teasing this enough? [SPEAKER_01]: You'll have to come back and find out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Because, you know, right now, the king of the hill is the raptor R. In 720 horsepower. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: So we don't know Ford. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think two of us doing anything. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the one that we're always hearing rumors about is a stout. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but there's not just went to the technology slash I do for a day. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I had a hydrogen power to co-mine Tundra, but it's not for sale. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not for sale. [SPEAKER_00]: It won't be for sale. [SPEAKER_01]: The only thing there that might be for sale is that to come up powered side by side, call the Sion01 concept. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so, but we don't know about, it's not official. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you interviewed the engineer and you talked to all those people, but they said they're studying it, right? [SPEAKER_00]: They're not ready. [SPEAKER_01]: So, let me share some news. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people may not know about which also leads into another truck. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you know that Colorado became the first state to allow direct consumer sales of the scout? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, the Colorado legislature passed that, and so now Scout will be allowed to sell first state in the country, direct to consumers bypassing any dealers. [SPEAKER_01]: And as you know, Scout and the Volkswagen dealers got in a bit of a legal [SPEAKER_01]: Struggle like your fuffles, your fuffles, where the dealers were like, hey, you can't sell these things without us and it's got like, oh, watch us. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the, I think the outcome of that was that the dealers were saying that a Volkswagen had these, and I'm paraphrasing. [SPEAKER_01]: So if I get this wrong, feel free to correct me, but I think if I remember right. [SPEAKER_01]: the dealer for saying you can't do this because you have dealer franchise loss with Volkswagen and Volkswagen said that'd be great except we're not Volkswagen We're scoped which is true separate. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a separate. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a separate company and so so even though we are owned by bag Volkswagen group, we are a different company a different legal entity So whatever Volkswagen agreed to has no impact on us. [SPEAKER_01]: I think the court agreed to that anyway. [SPEAKER_01]: We're looking [SPEAKER_01]: uh... at uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... [SPEAKER_01]: this has real buttons, and then they've taken, you know, the thing about American American trucks, there we go, you can see the buttons right there. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can see them all. [SPEAKER_01]: The thing about American trucks except for maybe Ruby and is that if you want the premium one, you got to get the big horn or the... [SPEAKER_01]: King Ranch or the platinum right there and they're all like these western themes somehow but but the scout has this kind of this kind of quiet elegance that is more let's call it European so it's got kind of a European flare to it which I personally like me because I'm European but it doesn't have like barbed wire [SPEAKER_01]: stitching everywhere and there's nothing wrong with barbed wire stitching, but there are different forms of style and elegance and trucks seem to have Follow into one category and that is the western style and it's nice to see something that is more bespoke maybe that's a good word more more Cadillac look a front bench [SPEAKER_00]: That's really refreshing, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, a bench seat in the front, lots of space. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so they've taken like the, like the four mats, you know, everything about the thing looks like these guys really know how to style a truck and and they've taken and defenders kind of done that too, right? [SPEAKER_01]: There, there are all these like off-road cliches that off-road have like big bullbars, but then what Land Rover does is they make it look elegant. [SPEAKER_01]: and they don't just make it look like this big stock on bull barn. [SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel like scout has done that and to some extent Rivian has done that too except Rivian went way too Tesla and us and they got rid of every real button and control and that's my biggest issue anything else on any other comments from us [SPEAKER_00]: Just one second, just one more comment for me, I guess, is that I love this styling. [SPEAKER_00]: I think Chris Benjamin is a head designer, Red Scott, right? [SPEAKER_00]: He came from Stellantis and we love this Stellantis work, and I think Scott worked that they've done is amazing. [SPEAKER_00]: But I have to have some bad news. [SPEAKER_00]: What is it? [SPEAKER_00]: I won't be here until 2025. [SPEAKER_00]: No, 2035, sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, so they said the production starts at the end of 2025, which is almost two years from now. [SPEAKER_00]: And so we still have to wait a long time. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm nervous about that because it's hard to sustain excitement that long. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, initially they were going to be all electric in the last minute. [SPEAKER_01]: They decided to make them, you know, a plug-in hybrid. [SPEAKER_01]: And now like 80 or 90% of the orders are all for the plug-in hybrid. [SPEAKER_01]: And unlike Westellantis and the RAM, we don't know what the power train will be. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Volkswagen certainly has enough 2-liter or 2.5 liter turbos in their vast collection of small engines that they can use one of those, but we don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the battery size, we don't know what the engine will be. [SPEAKER_01]: And also pricing. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't know pricing. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the looks of it, I think we'll be lucky to see one under 60. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think we're going to see one. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, Trey has a comment about Scott here. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Trey, for joining us as, again, on Patreon. [SPEAKER_00]: Trey says, I wish they would include the bench seat from the truck inside the SUV, because what they've shown so far is that the SUV doesn't have a bench, right? [SPEAKER_00]: It has a center console in the front. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's the only thing keeping his family from buying an SUV scout. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, maybe one will come later. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if they're successful and if they want to expand their offerings, they might offer that. [SPEAKER_01]: So a bit later. [SPEAKER_01]: So my personal experience with that is wanting is better than having. [SPEAKER_01]: And what I mean by that is when we ordered our defender, the very first defender we had, we got that option for [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I remember for the bank seat, and the way that it worked was, and it's worked similar in trucks too, and you got this bank seat that folds down, and then there's like a cup holder in the middle, and then it folds up, and then you could sit there, but quite honestly, the romantic image is like it's you and your gal, you know, and she's in the middle seat, and you get your arm around, or you get the other arm out the window. [SPEAKER_01]: And the reality is there's not a lot of room in most modern vehicles, especially smaller vehicles, and when you try to put a third person in that middle seat, it becomes kind of tight and very uncomfortable, and kind of awkward if you don't know them very well. [SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, you may think, sorry, tray, that you want that middle seat, but when you actually try to drive with somebody like that close to you, [SPEAKER_00]: Unless the thing drives itself, although scouts said they're specifically not going to do a fully autonomous version. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, so my, you're not, okay fine. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, good to them. [SPEAKER_01]: My, my take on that is I wish I hadn't gotten that. [SPEAKER_01]: Because because you because in the defendment because then what you also what you lose is that storage Bane and all that stuff that's and usually in the middle there and there's a lot of stuff there Yeah, that's useful like it's there's a place to put your phone There's a place to like put your and you do have a drink holder because it usually the seat folds down on there It's drink holder, but it's it's kind of awkward and it's kind of big and it's kind of clumsy and it's not grand dude [SPEAKER_00]: I was just going to say that in the scout that might be the best execution of that because it's actually a wider vehicle. [SPEAKER_00]: It's almost an F-150 by width. [SPEAKER_00]: So I think scout has something going for it because it's actually large enough for an even adult to sit there. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll have to wait and see. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, well, let's keep going. [SPEAKER_01]: So scout, another one in the future, the other one that I kind of touched upon is the stout, the turn of the stout. [SPEAKER_01]: We've heard the scout in the stout. [SPEAKER_01]: The stout, the stout, scout. [SPEAKER_01]: That'd be kind of cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, wow. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what to do with that. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not going to happen. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not going to happen. [SPEAKER_01]: But so the stout is this potentially electric potentially not a maverick fighting totem. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then you saw a prototype of something like this which was an electric little compact truck from Toyota. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we called it kind of a stout. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they called it a city truck if I remember right or that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's right the second story right there. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They called it EPU. [SPEAKER_00]: Electric pick up electric pick up something like a Santa Cruz kind of like a Santa Cruz Yes, but it had like an avalanche like a Chevrolet midgate, right where you could fold the midgate down and you could actually Put big items into it. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is quite an attractive concept actually it is but [SPEAKER_01]: You know, as much as people keep, I would say the stout is the rumor that is the most prevalent, but with the least amount of meat on the bone on drink, because I have not seen anything official, even hinted at, from maybe to just keeping that very close to the... [SPEAKER_01]: But I have not seen anything that would suggest within the next year or two or three years there's a stop coming. [SPEAKER_01]: I wish I'm wrong because I think people understand the two that needs to be in that space because America has had its way with the market for a very long time. [SPEAKER_01]: It's obviously a huge success for Ford. [SPEAKER_01]: And yet, here we are. [SPEAKER_01]: How many years now, three years since it was introduced? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, three and a half years. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's nothing from either Toyota, which would be the most logical choice, nothing from Honda, which would be less logical, nothing from GM, nothing from RAM. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing from Nissan. [SPEAKER_01]: Nothing from Nissan. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And all these companies actually have small trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: In other markets, but none of them have thought through they're actually putting one up in America except for slate, but that's a whole different animal, so nothing so far. [SPEAKER_01]: I wish I could say like, hey, we know something that's Nudge Wind Queen, but now we don't. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't know, I mean, it looks kind of quiet on that front. [SPEAKER_00]: Totally true. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, how about Honda? [SPEAKER_01]: Anything coming up from Honda? [SPEAKER_01]: Anything with the original? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm super excited. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we mentioned that maybe in the last episode too, that they do have some new hybrid tech coming down the line. [SPEAKER_00]: Right, the pilot is going to have the new hybrid. [SPEAKER_00]: They also have range extended. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually, their hybrid is a little bit different than most, right? [SPEAKER_00]: It's a little bit more electrified, right? [SPEAKER_00]: So the electric motors provide a lot [SPEAKER_00]: larger share of that power in that system. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm really excited about testing more hybrids from Honda and I'm really hoping that they redesign their ridge line a little bit more kind of manly way. [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't think there's a lot of [SPEAKER_01]: resources left at Nissan right now to come out with a new truck. [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the Titan is dead. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sure that cost a lot of money. [SPEAKER_01]: But I'm not seeing anything from Nissan to even suggest that there's a new frontier coming that alone, a new small or a bigger truck. [SPEAKER_01]: So you drove the rouse. [SPEAKER_00]: I just left it front here, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, which is yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So rouse now works on frontiers and they build the truck. [SPEAKER_01]: down the road and then the truck goes over to Rausch and they give it the Rausch treatment which is basically just a lift and you know some stickers and some you know different colors but no extra power, no extra power which is weird because Rausch is known for providing more power for Ford and other working with Nissan and it's just a lift so yeah but it's factory lift so you know but there's nothing nothing [SPEAKER_00]: Beyond that that I've heard. [SPEAKER_00]: So the only excitement I can see via Nissan and maybe Mitsubishi is an exterer, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Like a Nissan exterer, maybe, you know, kind of a truck-based SUV, and also maybe a Mitsubishi version of it, right? [SPEAKER_00]: That has been rumored. [SPEAKER_01]: It would be easy for [SPEAKER_01]: Nissan to take the front here just as it's easy for, you know, Toyota to make a foreign area, Nissan could take the front here and, you know, stick a top on it and convert it into the exterior. [SPEAKER_01]: I think they would be wise to do that. [SPEAKER_01]: You can use the same power train so you can use that V6. [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know why they haven't done that yet. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why they're puzzled. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, why they canceled the exterior just as off-roading was booming or starting to take off. [SPEAKER_01]: It's one of those head scratchers, so if Nissan wanted to do something which was a low line fruit, the extero would be a smart choice. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, I think we also need to talk about Ford because while Ford announced that they're killing the lightning, they have not announced that they're killing electric trucks or small electric trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: So Ford is still working on a small electric truck, but we don't know when it's coming out and we don't know much about it. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's try it. [SPEAKER_00]: They had that factory announcement, right? [SPEAKER_00]: But just a few months ago, and they didn't show anything. [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't show a truck. [SPEAKER_00]: So, did we meet their Model T-moment? [SPEAKER_01]: Which, oh, yes, the Model T-moment. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is led to a $19.00 billion right down. [SPEAKER_01]: The Model T-moment is that? [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe that was not the Model T-moment that they thought it would be. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm sorry for it. [SPEAKER_01]: Different moment. [SPEAKER_01]: You shouldn't have called the Model T-moment. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, if you did call it a model T-moment, then you should have shown a concept. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we really wanted to see an actual shape of a vehicle, a truck, whatever it is. [SPEAKER_01]: We were just talking about this, I'm going to do a bit of an editorial before we move on. [SPEAKER_01]: So for just an answer, because of the lightning and two things. [SPEAKER_01]: First of all, I'm going to hot-take the lightning by far as best F-150 you can buy. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it is. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just the most sophisticated. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the quietest. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the best riding. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you can get past the electric part of it, it has the best suspension set up. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just a great F150. [SPEAKER_01]: It really is. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it may not tow. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, but it's got good payload. [SPEAKER_01]: And if you can, like I say, live with, you know, a shorter amount of range. [SPEAKER_01]: It is by far, I think, the best F150 you can buy. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we now have the coyote F150. [SPEAKER_01]: And I like the lightning a lot more. [SPEAKER_00]: I agree, it's just doing a road trip in the lightning was very hard. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, anyway, what I would say, we don't do financial news, but the journalist in me says that this 19.5 billion that they wrote off was more than just the lightning. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'll give you a couple examples of that that we were talking about. [SPEAKER_01]: So the best segment in America right now, in terms of sales, of course, is the mid-sized crossover segment. [SPEAKER_01]: So think of RAF 4, sales 4, and at some thousand CRV, and yet Ford has, what, a 10-year-old, whatever the heck it is, escaped that they're selling into that market, which is ancient and does do well. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's just a lot of... A lot of the... [SPEAKER_00]: Which kind of helped a little bit, but this cap is still an aging product. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they haven't updated that. [SPEAKER_00]: And then with Lincoln, actually, Lincoln has its own version of that. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think there has been a lot of decisions that Ford has made that have nothing to do with going electric that has cost the company money and they're using the lightning as a bugaboo for everything that ale's the company and I think there are other issues that Ford needs to address beyond just whether the lightning's in a survivor or not that might be causing them to have to write off $19 billion. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't know enough about this. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to do financial things. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it may all have to do with electric vehicles, but somehow I think that there's other deeper issues. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you another one, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's another one. [SPEAKER_01]: Ford may be this record on Dre. [SPEAKER_01]: Right now Ford stands at 147 recalls in 2025, 147, they're three away from 150. [SPEAKER_01]: That is triple or more than that than the average of all the other car companies, right? [SPEAKER_01]: And that's expensive. [SPEAKER_01]: Somebody's paying for that. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: What's going on? [SPEAKER_01]: Why is Ford have 147 recalls this year? [SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy. [SPEAKER_01]: And I get that someone that has to do with the fact that we're moving into computer defined vehicles and car companies maybe aren't the greatest of building writing software. [SPEAKER_01]: But still, come on. [SPEAKER_01]: That's got to be expensive. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: because not all of it is software yeah a lot of it is hardware yeah and then of course there are tariffs you know for it is an international company and they had moved a lot of their production out of America so they were building a lot of things in Mexico a lot of things that are the parts of the world and [SPEAKER_01]: And now all that stuff gets tariff when it comes back to America, the Maverick might be the best example of that because America is built in Mexico, and they sell a lot of those. [SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, the Maverick started out at 27,000? [SPEAKER_01]: No, that's in the 23-20,000. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in 2022, in 2021. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then let's talk about the lightning before you start like, oh, you know, I think... [SPEAKER_01]: But they said lightning is coming back as a range standard. [SPEAKER_01]: Some, yeah, but let's talk about the current one. [SPEAKER_01]: First and foremost, for you know this, you didn't update it. [SPEAKER_01]: There was no mid-cycle refresh. [SPEAKER_01]: You started out by selling a few of them at what you said was going to be the cheapest. [SPEAKER_01]: It was 45, oh, how much? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, 41,000, was it that? [SPEAKER_01]: Plus, plus that's me, sure. [SPEAKER_01]: And then when we bought ours a few months later, [SPEAKER_01]: It was 72,000 if I remember right because we wanted the bigger battery we wanted like a few options Yeah, but you can't go from 40,000 30,000 to 80,000 if you got the one all the bells and whistles and so [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of the problems of the lightning had nothing to do with the fact that it had a battery, but a lot of had to do with it, it was a very expensive truck. [SPEAKER_01]: The other thing that Ford promised when the first came out was this thing where you could actually use the vehicle to then charge it. [SPEAKER_01]: power your home we got that but we were never actually able to make that thing work and a lot of owners have said that they also were unable to make that work so this idea of like you know everyone the Texas had their huge power outage and everybody got all excited because somebody brought by a lightning. [SPEAKER_01]: and power this wedding and it was like now I could you know have a battery back up well that never really took off as far as I know and also the pricing went up and down you know the made a cheaper than made a more expensive than made a cheaper is all over the place yeah and and how many our our man right and forward how many lightnings they have for sale right though zero he stopped ordering lightnings like a year or two ago [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the question there is which came first the chicken of the egg otherwise the demand or the dealerships right and Ford never was able I think to convince Especially in places like Colorado which you should be able to convince because we got a lot of electric vehicles sold here that that the lightning is a good vehicle to sell to dealers and dealers aren't stupid these guys are sharp but I wonder if [SPEAKER_01]: they never gave the lightning a chance. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I kind of feel like most four dealers were like the Goose to Blade the Golden Egg is the F-150. [SPEAKER_01]: So why do we have to sell this electric version of it? [SPEAKER_01]: And so I don't think they ever had you educated their salespeople as to the way that you sell an electric truck because it was just much easier to just like, hey, you want an F-150 with a coyote or with an eco booster or with a six cylinder? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we got it. [SPEAKER_01]: What's that one over there? [SPEAKER_01]: Never mind that one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just, I mean, Brighton for, you know, one of our friends, they're kind of on the edge of the city, right? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're very, very rural. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But so, so they deal with, you know, a lot of people who are very traditional, right? [SPEAKER_00]: And they love their tour of the results and they love their gas engines. [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, it just didn't work in that particular area at all. [SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know like I say I don't know if the dealers hated the trucks or if the public didn't like the trucks or both of those things happened or One of those things happened, but there's a lot more going on than just you know, oh by the way [SPEAKER_01]: People don't want electric vehicles, so we're going to write down 19 and a half billion dollars. [SPEAKER_01]: I think you could do a pretty good business school case. [SPEAKER_01]: Any other vehicles that we're missing on today that are coming? [SPEAKER_01]: Any other trucks that have about in the heavy duty world? [SPEAKER_00]: Anything HD coming? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you saw a GM testing new diesel engines at the pierce. [SPEAKER_00]: And it appears, yeah, that might be a new duramex coming. [SPEAKER_00]: So, and if a new duramex is coming, then I'm sure fourth and ram will not be sitting down. [SPEAKER_00]: No, for this. [SPEAKER_00]: New power stroke. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure they could stand up as well. [SPEAKER_01]: And the new, the recent new comments was a little bit of a let down. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's a bad engine. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just disappointing that it didn't provide. [SPEAKER_01]: We had gotten so used to having these diesel wars happening where we just get getting higher and higher, higher, torque numbers, higher and higher, horsepower numbers, higher and higher, and toeing numbers, and all of a sudden the Cummins come out and it doesn't surpass the Ford. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, it is even more fuel efficient than the outgoing one if I remember right. [SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that true? [SPEAKER_01]: The new one's actually less fuel efficient when we did our testing. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it wasn't a huge difference at all. [SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't a huge, so it was kind of like a, like a, like a, okay, it was, why? [SPEAKER_00]: Because you would think two extra gears in this transmission, right? [SPEAKER_00]: It went from six to eight. [SPEAKER_00]: I was really hoping for dramatic, but when you and I drove, those trucks via MoA, right, we didn't see any dramatic changes there. [SPEAKER_01]: And a hundred is just updated, the Santa Cruz, they gave it a kind of a facelift, so it looks a little bit, [SPEAKER_01]: People are calling it like a fad brat. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I heard. [SPEAKER_01]: You mean Subaru? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: You think a brag of fads? [SPEAKER_00]: It could. [SPEAKER_00]: It looks pretty. [SPEAKER_00]: I liked the way. [SPEAKER_00]: It has a little bit of an insect look also. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that led, that just got updated and then in the mid-sized truck world, old Tacoma is not changing much at all. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's recently redesigned. [SPEAKER_00]: Completely redesigned in 2024. [SPEAKER_01]: We're not getting the heavy duty ranger. [SPEAKER_01]: Ranger that mine. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not coming. [SPEAKER_00]: And on for a Jeep, well, the V8 Gladiator's rumored still, 32, we still don't have official news about this, and GM mid-sized trucks are kind of the same. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So there's not a lot of changes there. [SPEAKER_00]: Once again, recently redesigned. [SPEAKER_00]: So the mid-sized segment is a little bit kind of quiet for 2020, a little bit quiet. [SPEAKER_01]: So, I think like I said, out of all those, the one that I'm the most interested in, and it's coming pretty far down the road is a scout. [SPEAKER_01]: I just think that that like resonates with me the most. [SPEAKER_01]: How about you, a few to pick one? [SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, it's not the slate because you can't do your reservation, but what's the one that you would be the most excited about? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm curious about the RAM extend that range extend there, because I used to own the F-150 hybrid really enjoyed the power, you know, exported it, provided, you know, we ran our, you did, yeah, you did a lot of work after that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we, we went camping with it, we David and I welded off of it, so, so I'm kind of excited what RAM can bring for this, yeah, so there you have [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we kind of do the new year show a week early. [SPEAKER_00]: I kind of feel like no, well, we did it on purpose because next year There's some sort of announcement you saw It's coming There's something something on the first something coming so that show might be dedicated to that announcement is out here saying [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this show is 311. [SPEAKER_00]: This show is dedicated to the group, to the music group. [SPEAKER_01]: Next show 312 is dedicated to 3 letters, I believe. [SPEAKER_01]: So you're going to want to be sure to stay tuned and come back for that. [SPEAKER_01]: And then if you haven't seen it, what's our TFL trick of the year, Andre? [SPEAKER_00]: It's F-150 power boost hybrid. [SPEAKER_00]: We named it the truck of the year. [SPEAKER_01]: If you had an over to Altifull.com, you can see the wrap up video basically where we combined all the testing that we did and why we picked the F-150. [SPEAKER_01]: So congratulations for it. [SPEAKER_01]: And actually, congratulations, everybody, thank you for bringing letting us borrow your trucks. [SPEAKER_01]: Next year, if they allow it, we'll try to do the mid-sized trucks. [SPEAKER_00]: Or if there's more excitement somewhere else, we'll go somewhere. [SPEAKER_00]: Ragecender, we'll do the trick. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll do the hardest range extender competition that you've ever seen indeed and yeah, we'll see you next time Yeah, thank you very much. [SPEAKER_00]: Ciao
