Episode 58 - Adepta Sororitas pt 1- Rise of the Ecclesiarchy and creation of the Adepta Sororitas
On Today’s cast we begin our coverage on the Adeptus Sororitas. We start with a recap of the rise of Ecclesiarchy, the why and the how of its growth. After this we spend time talking about the rise and reign of terror or Goge Vandire. Namely his employment of the Daughters of the Emperor from San Leor. Then we go into the conflict between Vandire and the forces of the Imperium, and of course the turning of the Daughters from him. From there we close out on the reformation of the Ecclesiarchy and as such the Daughters of the Emperor becoming the Adeptus Sororitas.

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Forty K. Lorkas with me, John Barsati and Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_00]: Today, we're going to start diving to the Adaptive Sororitas. [SPEAKER_00]: We're known as the Sisters of Battle, although we'll dive into that in the next cast. [SPEAKER_00]: There actually is a difference between the Adaptive Sororitas and Sisters of Battle. [SPEAKER_01]: Not if you're gonna just call them nuns with guns. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's always a term. [SPEAKER_00]: So as always, before we begin the cast, please like and comment on it, we've had a great explosion. [SPEAKER_00]: As we've said before, we're in the top one hundred podcasts. [SPEAKER_00]: This is out of six million, by the way. [SPEAKER_00]: We say top one hundred. [SPEAKER_00]: I have six or a few years. [SPEAKER_01]: Did not try to pat myself on the back, even though where I'm supposed to go. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't even touch my shoulders, let alone my bag. [SPEAKER_01]: But that with us, he says that with pride. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I can't do? [SPEAKER_00]: Scratch something. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at I might be a T-Rex. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like when I had my bulldog spade, they're like this need a cone. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, have you not seen a bulldog before? [SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, John, Sally is short. [SPEAKER_01]: We got up the thirty-one and I'm proud of that. [SPEAKER_00]: I refuse to not accept what boy I was in the US. [SPEAKER_00]: We actually were above that in some other countries. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm talking about just the [SPEAKER_01]: The total. [SPEAKER_01]: The third one was the U.S. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we were higher in that in a lot of international markets. [SPEAKER_01]: But screw not taking. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just happy we were top one hundred at one point in Norway. [SPEAKER_00]: And so I want to thank you all, but also sorry for our English. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to tell you that right now, because I'm a hundred percent you guys learned. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm very good friends with a lot of Scandinavians and all of them speak English better than me and other languages. [SPEAKER_01]: And I always go, you know what? [SPEAKER_01]: He's from Philadelphia, which is my least favorite city in the United States. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a little higher, you know, just saying like you just saying here cities fall apart. [SPEAKER_00]: We founded the country. [SPEAKER_00]: You made it. [SPEAKER_00]: You made it. [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't change your streets to not be defending cavalry charges. [SPEAKER_00]: Right, but I'd pretty sure like England wouldn't take us back now because of Ohio. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's right because of that. [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, English people, but yes. [SPEAKER_01]: But with that going on, we would really like to thank you for all of the support and getting us to this brand of argument. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we super appreciate it. [SPEAKER_01]: We had no idea that it was going to be this popular. [SPEAKER_01]: We hoped that people would listen. [SPEAKER_00]: And we honestly, we thought we'd have a couple of thousand listeners, not, you know, twenty, thirty times that. [SPEAKER_00]: So it's incredible. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you all so much. [SPEAKER_00]: It really means a lot to us. [SPEAKER_00]: And for those of you who are leaving the comments on Spotify, so before I say again, I read them, they are quite funny. [SPEAKER_00]: And I have to improve all of them. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you want to say something funny to me, go in there and do it. [SPEAKER_00]: I have to improve it. [SPEAKER_00]: And if it's not that funny, [SPEAKER_00]: Alpice will approve it, but if it's really not funny, I'll just delete it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's more for you without us. [SPEAKER_00]: So no one sees your bad joke. [SPEAKER_00]: With that, though, for those of you who are listeners and want to interact more with us, discord. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got it. [SPEAKER_00]: We have it. [SPEAKER_00]: We've had a discord for a while. [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks to Kevin. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a new kind of addition to the team. [SPEAKER_00]: I would say he's read on the discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, savage doc has come through and really read on our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: I will always promote discord to people because I like the way discord itself functions. [SPEAKER_00]: Discord is designed to be a place a community conversation piece. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like a Reddit or a Facebook where people are trying to get up loads or thumbs up reviews. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just you are what you are. [SPEAKER_01]: We have super cool channels now. [SPEAKER_01]: It's it's way more organized because we didn't do it because we're doing a bad job of because we do a bad job of a lot of things because you're in your fifties and in my forties. [SPEAKER_00]: What chance did we have of making it? [SPEAKER_00]: It's absolutely not. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like I press button. [SPEAKER_00]: We're the PDF. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the bed. [SPEAKER_01]: We had a discussion about this and we went, you can do this, this and this and I go, I don't know how to do any of those things and they all scare me. [SPEAKER_01]: Please don't make me do this. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll call it out. [SPEAKER_00]: So Kevin tried to have me make some changes live on it. [SPEAKER_00]: We wrote a voice chat together and we did a screen share and it because then he was saying, no, no, no, no, to the left. [SPEAKER_00]: Up a little bit over the right that button, that button. [SPEAKER_01]: I should have played, and it as soon as they asked me to do anything, I yelled, I need an adult. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I really, Kevin, you've been amazing. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much for those of you who are looking for a place to interact with more with us. [SPEAKER_00]: Please come to our Discord, because not only us, but also a lot of the other fans are there. [SPEAKER_00]: Thousands of them. [SPEAKER_00]: It's an incredible place to interact about lower, hobby, game play. [SPEAKER_00]: Did your games? [SPEAKER_00]: Everything. [SPEAKER_00]: whatever you're looking for, because I mean, we get a lot of comments all the time on like, our Facebook, we're like, one of the best books to read. [SPEAKER_00]: I can tell you my opinion, but if you ask that same question and discord, you can get a lot more depth, because for example, you know, I, maybe you're saying, hey, I want to read more books about the, you know, the role leaders. [SPEAKER_00]: I can go to Reddit and find a river you for you, but I don't know it as well, but you might, but don't be like a couple of hundred people that have [SPEAKER_00]: I read all of them. [SPEAKER_00]: This is my favorite one. [SPEAKER_00]: That's my best one. [SPEAKER_01]: And for me personally, which is a big thing is we have the how to get into forty-k. [SPEAKER_01]: We have a two full channel about that. [SPEAKER_01]: We have Laura, obviously. [SPEAKER_01]: But we have the people that will help you, including myself. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's a big deal in that to go in. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, maybe you came to us from space right, too, which a lot of people have found us from that. [SPEAKER_01]: And you want to get involved in the game. [SPEAKER_00]: We also have the model, model showcase. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, if model showcase, we have everything in there, it's, I mean, I am, it's a paintings one thing that I'm glad our discords we take and off with because I'm a B to B plus painter, Brad's learning to paint for the first time. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm in F minus three. [SPEAKER_00]: Thirty years in because of colorblind. [SPEAKER_00]: So it has poor motor function, but that's a side. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a great place to get advice. [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, even these like, [SPEAKER_00]: Basically, I love our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Please come join our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: It's awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Second note is that usually at this stage for people listening for a while, we're going to a long diet try about our Patreon and our coaching. [SPEAKER_00]: They both exist, and I'll talk about the Patreon in a minute. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm more important. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm right now, just a little bit that I don't get the screamy email. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, how's it work for it? [SPEAKER_01]: It's so much better. [SPEAKER_00]: So we've also, we've read on our web page, the Wix page that I made months ago that look like a bad middle school is our project. [SPEAKER_00]: is gone. [SPEAKER_00]: We now have a proper WordPress page where you can click links, into us, interact with us, go to the discord, go to the page or go to Brad's coaching, everything is from there. [SPEAKER_00]: So please share their web page. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm unhappy about it. [SPEAKER_00]: We actually, you know, we also have merchandise in the web page. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you want to get a t-shirt. [SPEAKER_01]: Forty-key, lower cats. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's been made. [SPEAKER_00]: That being said, though, those last two pieces, we have a Patreon. [SPEAKER_00]: If you guys want to help us out, it'd be great. [SPEAKER_00]: If you don't, it's also fine. [SPEAKER_00]: The Patreon exists to help us do this cast better. [SPEAKER_00]: We've been able to upgrade audio equipment, high engineers, editors, these types of things allows us to spend more time. [SPEAKER_00]: The truth is, it allows us to spend more time [SPEAKER_00]: making the cast and putting whatever into it, then the postcast production. [SPEAKER_00]: So thank you, you pay trend members. [SPEAKER_00]: It's been incredible and your contributions have really gone a long way to support us with this. [SPEAKER_00]: So thank you so much. [SPEAKER_00]: For those of you, though, who are playing the game and want to get better at it, Brad has coaching services. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you go to our web page at the FortyKillercast.com, link in the show notes or in our discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, or in our discord, you can actually look at some of the details of what Brad offers and contact him directly. [SPEAKER_00]: So. [SPEAKER_01]: And I like coaching. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a real thing. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it should be said that. [SPEAKER_00]: You do like coaching. [SPEAKER_00]: And now you don't have the randomly yell your email address out there. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about the rise. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That's good. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So again, it's a cast about sisters, but we can't talk about the sister that talking where they come from. [SPEAKER_00]: So episode twenty five, we covered the rise of the Ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to do a little bit of a recap here because none of you go back and listen to that one. [SPEAKER_00]: But we'll skip some gets about it. [SPEAKER_00]: That's I know you're. [SPEAKER_00]: So prior to the thirty-six millennia, there was this explosion of power in the ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: You got pretty huge pretty fast. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you can, you can, you can just one or two ways. [SPEAKER_00]: You can either listen to us talk or you can fast forward ten minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: If you have any knowledge of how the Catholic Church rose in Europe, because up in the Martin Lutherist thirteen dresses, that's what this was. [SPEAKER_00]: This is GW ripped this next time. [SPEAKER_00]: But they made it cooler. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, but the biggest thing is, is that people went, because remember, the Emperor's whole thing was, I don't want religion, I don't want anything. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they got put on the golden throne and everybody went, this guy protected us because he's a god. [SPEAKER_01]: And they went, yeah, that's what's happening. [SPEAKER_00]: This is, it's really important to kind of understand how the Imperium was, this point. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're talking about post-heracy, the all-powerful leader of the Imperium, [SPEAKER_00]: is gone, along with his right hand man of Malkador. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is actually semi more important to be perfect now. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because about what you're lazy. [SPEAKER_00]: So what happened was you had always lords of terror who existed forever, but they had no real power. [SPEAKER_00]: But they were, they were nothing but figureheads. [SPEAKER_00]: And now they would, I mean, in some ways, I actually feel bad for them. [SPEAKER_00]: because they went from being figure heads. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, fight you right now. [SPEAKER_00]: It's true. [SPEAKER_00]: This is, this is that thing of like the idiot son at the company, the dad dies. [SPEAKER_00]: Now he takes over the company. [SPEAKER_00]: He's a horrible person and we're glad it fails, but he also brings the whole company down with him. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That's right. [SPEAKER_01]: It was like the entire period of the loser terror have sucked from, wait, carry the one. [SPEAKER_01]: Always every single time. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm, you know, I'm not even going there. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to, eventually we're just going to do a knee talking about how much I don't like the words of terror. [SPEAKER_00]: We've promised the discord. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do a cast in the words of terror. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to be raging for a while. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I'm going to be edited out of some. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do a, I'm actually concerned about this because Brad has, Brad's got to have some, Brad has unfortunate genetics. [SPEAKER_00]: If you think, well, he's, he's had two heart attacks in stroke, right, or my, or my missing one. [SPEAKER_00]: It's to open hearts to open hearts to oblation and this is why I'm not that excited about doing the north of the area. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they have one heart attack because the hospitals like like there was an ER five minutes from my house, but the good hospitals twenty minutes away and I don't feel like. [SPEAKER_01]: Makes me so the lords of terror make me physically angry. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't understand like it's not me putting on air. [SPEAKER_00]: He John makes one of me so much for this because you're holding a doctor pepper can you're crushing it with your right hand. [SPEAKER_00]: I was talking about the words that the Lord said. [SPEAKER_00]: I could see it happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Like the can is like crinkling as he says words, lords of terror. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, so you're not real, Brad. [SPEAKER_00]: I know they're made out, but I'm very angry. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow. [SPEAKER_00]: Like my kids, my kids are afraid of lightning because it's a real thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I learned the terror. [SPEAKER_00]: Real for me. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Brandon. [SPEAKER_00]: Good God. [SPEAKER_00]: So even before the kind of, but his back on topic, even before the great crusade, the Emperor was always revered by a God by certain people, like, Lord. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, also, Lord, I did a good job of pushing this out. [SPEAKER_00]: But Lord, God really believed it. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's only case, this is not a new thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the Emperor, with his minions, would stamp out any time someone, not even, but most time people would kind of start really worshiping him, he would go and stop it. [SPEAKER_00]: He would say he would smoke shells. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, but then the Emperor is entangled. [SPEAKER_00]: And then add to this, the Imperial Citizens very realistically, the world was better before the Emperor was going to the Golden Throne. [SPEAKER_00]: So the greatest leader that has ever happened for the Imperium in recorded history is the Emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's not because they went back through and corrected history. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we can look at it and say, yeah, and also the thing is, is that a lot of terrible shit is happening to them. [SPEAKER_01]: And the peat, the what became the ecclesiarchy is pushing out. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you would have more faith. [SPEAKER_00]: in the emperor, then we can do this. [SPEAKER_00]: And this begins to explode. [SPEAKER_00]: We get shrines, at, like, you know, Volkethegels, everything to the emperor goes up to the point where, you know, by the thirtieth millennia, people are taking pilgrimages to worlds to touch a world that that was viewed as blessed by the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we really have to talk about this, because I think we skipped over just a little bit in this. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't make a ship that doesn't have a shrine to the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: If you are in it, we're talking to the shipyards. [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't like a thing that people do as a superstition. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I order a ship from John's ship building. [SPEAKER_01]: He builds a shrine. [SPEAKER_00]: It has to be a shrine. [SPEAKER_00]: Hearing it. [SPEAKER_00]: Minimum and everything was ship. [SPEAKER_00]: But also, and we talked about this on the AdNec when we discussed the machine spirit. [SPEAKER_00]: When we talk about people doing pilgrimage to people worshiping the emperor, [SPEAKER_00]: This isn't Wizard of Oz stuff, guys. [SPEAKER_00]: This is real. [SPEAKER_00]: Like the warp is real. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's powering up the way. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it's that piece of the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: There is a very good argument to be made that the power of the emperor is a real thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And these people worship of him is a real thing. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the what's first the chicken or the egg. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because is the power of emperor real or is the fact that you believe the power of the emperor makes him you made it real, but that what I'm getting at the was that he's perfectly reasonable to assume that if that the emperor is affecting the lives of citizens on random occasion. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if you're talking about sisters of battle, it's not random occasion. [SPEAKER_01]: It's every time. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's what we get. [SPEAKER_00]: So I always wanted to caution. [SPEAKER_00]: When we talk about these things, something comes off as ha ha silly peasants with their silly beliefs, this one might be real. [SPEAKER_01]: You're making your making reality. [SPEAKER_01]: You're orking it up basically. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: things like that. [SPEAKER_00]: And so this leads to the Ecclesiarchy being to grow game power and more power because the citizenry are more aligned with with the worship of the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: But also yes, the Ecclesiarchy came from no zero to hero with it. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yes, that's in the first two thousand years. [SPEAKER_01]: All of a sudden they became something that [SPEAKER_01]: the the imperium didn't work without them because if you didn't get the the approval of the ecclesiarchy, shit didn't happen. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what I want to say is like the ecclesiarchy's power is where it's how exceptionally gets and this is going to matter for someone we're going to talk about shortly. [SPEAKER_00]: The ecclesiarchy becomes almost a mini government. [SPEAKER_00]: They get a lot they get a seat in the as a Lord of terror, which is fine. [SPEAKER_00]: But more importantly, they begin to actually operate as an independent wing of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: And this was not what they were supposed to be doing. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they also become judgment. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they started to be judge and jury. [SPEAKER_00]: because what they get is they start installing their own regional governor's who are supposed to be overlooking the citizens. [SPEAKER_00]: These regional governors have power. [SPEAKER_00]: They have their own, you know, they've developed their own military called the Fratera's Templar who actually are. [SPEAKER_00]: They have ships. [SPEAKER_00]: They have soldiers. [SPEAKER_00]: They are actually the the Imperium broke up the Imperilar me into the Imperial Navy and the astronaut arm. [SPEAKER_00]: The Fratera's Templar are both. [SPEAKER_00]: They are a Navy and a guard all at once. [UNKNOWN]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_00]: The issue with this, though, is as this grows, costs begin to grow. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the Ecclesiarchy begins to actually place imperial tides, long planets, in addition to the regular imperial tides that was coming through. [SPEAKER_00]: So planets, they might imperial tides is, it's not one percent. [SPEAKER_00]: It's basically, it's fifty percent. [SPEAKER_00]: All of the percent. [SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's fifty percent. [SPEAKER_00]: And now I've got two people asking me for fifty percent of my output. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't do it. [SPEAKER_00]: So this becomes actually, this is where we start to see, this was in a thirty-six millennium, it starts to the first conflict between the groups. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the challenge is that, effectively, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public, as a public [SPEAKER_01]: So, and or worse, the Marines who go collateral damage, I've never googled that. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what you mean. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and what's funny about that is that these two groups, you know, trucking, man, I can control for the boy. [SPEAKER_00]: I go and thought of you with Italians to deal with it. [SPEAKER_00]: So protection rackets. [SPEAKER_00]: The thing about a protection racket is you also protect with a protection racket. [SPEAKER_00]: You pay the protection racket to keep away the other guys trying to run a protection racket. [SPEAKER_00]: These guys didn't do that. [SPEAKER_00]: They would just take your money and leave. [SPEAKER_00]: So you pay the Ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: They take your money and go. [SPEAKER_00]: And then the Imperial Government would shop and say, where's my money? [SPEAKER_00]: And the Ecclesiarchy, you're just like, you're on your own good luck by like, dooses. [SPEAKER_00]: So this got that this begins to kind of create a fracture between the two. [SPEAKER_00]: This is made worse by the thirty-fifth millennia. [SPEAKER_00]: The thirty-fifth millennia warps storms begin to kind of eat apart the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: Not like these aren't the intense ones of the age of strife, of course. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we'll eventually do a cast about this because these are [SPEAKER_00]: actually manufacture it. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, but we'll dive into the origins later. [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't a, oh no, we had some bad weather. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a, hey man, somebody made this. [SPEAKER_00]: Someone did this, there's a lot of reasons for it. [SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, the Imperium doesn't know this. [SPEAKER_00]: All of a sudden warp travel throughout the entire Imperium starts to get kind of shattered. [SPEAKER_00]: And what this with that does is one thing that we didn't do a good enough job talking about before with black ships is that when black ships don't arrive on a planet. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, shit does go down. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the cypress on that planet get real powerful real quick. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of force lighting and yelling unlimited power happens. [SPEAKER_00]: So we start seeing entire planets falling to like either psychic warlords or full blown demon incursions. [SPEAKER_01]: Or people doing full on Salem witchcraft, which is, I saw you doing a card trick and they shot them in the face. [SPEAKER_00]: Which actually, by the way, was the, that's the correct one. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like the correct one. [SPEAKER_01]: Like that was way too clever. [SPEAKER_00]: In the thirty fifth millennia, if it's like, if you have no black ships, you have no protection, you think it's a psych or kilth of psych. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like just like I said, choose any card. [SPEAKER_01]: I shot it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and so what you end up happening also at the same time, chaos, because the real reason for the warp storms, chaos starts popping out of the wall, and demons popping out of the warp. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and they also came for a specific reason. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, we'll go that way. [SPEAKER_00]: The greatest is a full guess. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the green lights get involved, and they're wiping out planets. [SPEAKER_00]: This is like the third of its millennia, the galaxy's burning. [SPEAKER_00]: It's better than the fourth of millennia, but it is burning. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I forgot to mention, also, works start appearing all over the place. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they also come in the weirdest places ever because they, they write a space halt just for like, it's party time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: They, they surf into planets for no reason. [SPEAKER_00]: Duke, this is where we start seeing the jukari raids explode because they realize this. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's a big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's talk about this real quick on this because jukari always test the water. [SPEAKER_01]: And they go, did you do anything about this? [SPEAKER_01]: Yes? [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Did you do anything about this? [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Can't hear Brad tapping the table. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, you might. [SPEAKER_01]: That was, they want to my worst. [SPEAKER_01]: That. [SPEAKER_01]: I would, I would break that. [SPEAKER_00]: I did say Brad, he's when he's saying that that's test the water. [SPEAKER_00]: He's taking his finger and touching the table as he, I'm touching. [SPEAKER_01]: It makes a lot of sense to John who can see me and to everyone else. [SPEAKER_01]: It makes absolutely no sense. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what? [SPEAKER_01]: I want to ride with that. [SPEAKER_01]: However, they test the water two, three times. [SPEAKER_01]: And all of a sudden, there's no response. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they just come in full force. [SPEAKER_00]: And they'll take a world. [SPEAKER_00]: But they're taking entire planets. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: They'll go, you didn't respond. [SPEAKER_01]: You didn't respond. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cool. [SPEAKER_01]: We're we're sending a full reader for us. [SPEAKER_01]: And you now no longer have a population. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason we're diving into this, because that's not all. [SPEAKER_00]: We also enslavers reappear at this point, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I sure have that. [SPEAKER_01]: This is so crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and other random Zenos who we don't really cover in the lore pop up. [SPEAKER_00]: This is the thirty-fifth millennia is one of the worst times to be part of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's a shit shit. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what this does though, what makes this, that is this makes worship of the emperor go two ways. [SPEAKER_00]: Some worlds lean more heavily into him, saying, you know, we [SPEAKER_00]: You know, hard. [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe if we worship him more more, but other worlds go, the Emperor has abandoned us. [SPEAKER_00]: And the Ecclesiarchy don't take that second one very well and launch was effectively the Spanish inquisition upon on the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: They use the Fratera's Templar. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they just start murdering. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody that doesn't. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not even that you have it opposing opinion. [SPEAKER_01]: If you aren't just super excited about the Emperor, you get killed. [SPEAKER_00]: When the difference though is that when the Ecclesiarchy does this, we've talked before about like, [SPEAKER_00]: Ordo Heredicus, ordo Malias, which is the, they would, they would wipe out a planet, and they would make a backstory about what happened. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, there was an industrial accident. [SPEAKER_00]: When the Fraterus Templar do it, it's public knowledge that this, that it's real. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they, they recognize it basically. [SPEAKER_00]: So the entire imperialism is also now really starting to struggle with the nuclear. [SPEAKER_01]: They do prime time. [SPEAKER_01]: We're killing everybody on planet B. [SPEAKER_01]: because they're heretics and you can watch it live. [SPEAKER_00]: And you can imagine what this is doing to the overall viewpoint of the ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: And this leads to us getting into Goge Van Dier. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm just going to call Goge going forward to see you, sir. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me say it that way. [SPEAKER_01]: It's he's also such a huge dish. [SPEAKER_00]: That's incredible. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is where this was come from. [SPEAKER_00]: So Goge Van Dier was never actually he becomes part of the ecclesiarchy, but he was the head of the administrative. [SPEAKER_01]: He's a potential mod, except the fact that he sucks, and then we can go on. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, from day one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was horrid. [SPEAKER_00]: But what they would, so one little bit of backstory we should talk about is as the Ecclesiarchy is waging all these wars internally. [SPEAKER_00]: The reason the Ecclesiarchy is burning worlds with the Fratera's Templar is because Ecclesiarchy is run by morons at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: The ADEPT has administered them had a problem, and the problem they had was the ecclesiarchy was too powerful. [SPEAKER_00]: And they knew, just so we talked about in the prior cast, with the inquisition and the admec, they couldn't engage them directly because the people might turn on them. [SPEAKER_00]: So what they instead being in to do was affect the candidacies of leaders within the Ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_01]: They put morals in charge. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they didn't remember. [SPEAKER_00]: They put them in charge, but the the Adeptis Ministerum didn't have control of who was in charge. [SPEAKER_00]: They would have been the moron. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: They would back the moron, but they would also back them more on it. [SPEAKER_01]: with a bunch of writers and say, well, back you, well, you have to do these eight things. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, but Goge saw something different. [SPEAKER_00]: Goge was the head of the administrative and saw the incredible raw power of the ecclesiarchy and he wanted for himself. [SPEAKER_00]: So what he did was first off he installed, he helped install like the least likeable person ever in charge of the ecclesiarchy is waging televised campaigns of torture and murder of imperial citizens. [SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, while this man's in charge, Goju's using assassins to pick off other lears of the administrative to keep himself in power. [SPEAKER_01]: And other members of the ecclesiure. [SPEAKER_00]: He could actually challenge him. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: And built this entire, he basically built a house of cards around the ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_01]: He sucked back. [SPEAKER_01]: This dude is doing a Kaiser Susan. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He had no or house of cards. [SPEAKER_01]: He's doing it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Basically, same actor. [SPEAKER_00]: Where do you go, Brad? [SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome. [SPEAKER_01]: My favorite movie and one of my favorite shots. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So goge behind the scenes then begins to work. [SPEAKER_00]: He keeps blaming the Ecclesiarchy for all the issues, all the Anarchy, all the challenges until he realizes that the mass of the Imperium is turning against the Ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: and then he makes his move. [SPEAKER_00]: He gets some imperial guards in with him, attacks the headguard. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and he actually, he does he executes the head of the enclosure on top. [SPEAKER_01]: But he also does all of them. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He kills like everybody. [SPEAKER_00]: So, Tom's about that. [SPEAKER_00]: Saying that they're all heretics and we did was what's clever about this is he's used the actions that he'd influence them into taking, of all his violence and evilness against the populist approved. [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously they're heretics. [SPEAKER_00]: He's only a heretic against the emperor would be this evil. [SPEAKER_00]: And with this, does this flips everybody to him. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he's then able to take. [SPEAKER_00]: So he has control of the administrative and the ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: He also then actually is able to grab the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch, the touch [SPEAKER_00]: Now, the thing about Goge is like every other power hungry ruler. [SPEAKER_00]: He had no actual solutions. [SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't sitting there saying, oh, this is run poorly. [SPEAKER_00]: If I can just get rid of these people, I can then I'll come in and I'm going to save it. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I mentioned this before. [SPEAKER_01]: Goge is a huge dish. [SPEAKER_01]: He sucks. [SPEAKER_01]: He had a plan to take power, and that's where his plan stopped. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So he ends up actually doing a much worse job in the prior guy using Fratera's Templar even more violently. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, because he's terrified that he's going to lose his power. [SPEAKER_01]: So anybody that puts any risk of his power, he smokes. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He's terrifying this. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually don't know if he had control of the assassins. [SPEAKER_00]: I assume he did, but he wouldn't have lost if he did. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm kind of... I'm back and forth on that because of the fact that he had so many high-level people killed. [SPEAKER_01]: He did a Godfather on that. [SPEAKER_00]: He did, I just, it's the only reason. [SPEAKER_01]: Like so many heads of different things just died in... Yeah, I just struggled to believe that he had control of them. [SPEAKER_00]: because if he, well, I know honestly, I says, it's just report writing the project. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, but truthfully, if he had control of the assassins and the imperial guard and now, and then, well, this is where we that fleshed out this point, but he'd be, if he only loses power, we'll go to it. [SPEAKER_01]: He only loses power because of that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess it's fair. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: What's time to do it? [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: So the birth. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a battle. [SPEAKER_00]: If you play sisters and you like sisters, I'm really sorry about how much I'm going to shit on them. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's up. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, screw you. [SPEAKER_00]: I love. [SPEAKER_00]: I love this. [SPEAKER_00]: No, these are tropes. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why I don't. [SPEAKER_00]: So I love [SPEAKER_00]: sister's a battle. [SPEAKER_00]: I love all the pieces about sister battle. [SPEAKER_00]: There's just certain elements in there that drive me insane. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the GW took their own interpretation of the Amazon's and I just I've always found this this story to be stupid anyway, but let's go with it. [SPEAKER_00]: So [SPEAKER_00]: There's a secret island of giant warriors, a giant warrior women, that are somehow the greatest warriors in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: In this case, it's just a planet. [SPEAKER_00]: There are so many holes in this story. [SPEAKER_00]: So the world is an angry world named San Leor, because it's Saint Leor. [SPEAKER_00]: Why not? [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it means. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a on this plant. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember, aggro worlds have won the lowest populations in the imperial. [SPEAKER_01]: That's one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's one do. [SPEAKER_00]: They all do that's a whole problem. [SPEAKER_00]: They all blow populations. [SPEAKER_00]: Just saying there is a cult of warrior women. [SPEAKER_00]: This is all we have who are extremely about to the emperor, who were they fighting never stated that they fight off some Zenos, a pirates, or they're doing karate in the garage. [SPEAKER_00]: We get nothing. [SPEAKER_00]: All we know is that these women call themselves the daughters of the emperor and they have nothing but love for them. [SPEAKER_01]: And you know what, his sister's players, I'm gonna jump on this and go. [SPEAKER_01]: The sisters were powered by the holy light of the emperor and they actually drew upon them. [SPEAKER_00]: And why are they morons and fell for a magic trick? [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying they were deceived. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go in. [SPEAKER_00]: So goge declares randomly that he's going to pay a special visit to daughter's the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: Doesn't tell them he's coming by the way, just shows up with a full fleet and marches right into the inner sanctum of their capital. [SPEAKER_00]: Once they arrive in a sanctum, they're turned away, because no man may enter the sanctum. [SPEAKER_00]: He has this gender crap. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so, like Brad is a gatherer, it's Chi, I'm just getting angry. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I give us. [SPEAKER_00]: God tells them, let me in, because I am an emissary of the Emperor himself. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you have to admit me, but if I'm lying to you, you're free to kill me. [SPEAKER_00]: So they go, all right, and they march him all the way in. [SPEAKER_00]: And then he does a magic trick. [SPEAKER_00]: And I have a good one. [SPEAKER_00]: He tells them he will prove his [SPEAKER_01]: This is so land because he takes his roots. [SPEAKER_01]: He basically just activates his recipe. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, which is a fortune. [SPEAKER_00]: He holds a rosarius out, which is basically a [SPEAKER_01]: There's no way that they've never seen a fortune. [SPEAKER_00]: But they have to be fairly. [SPEAKER_00]: It says in the novels, I get more mad about the later parts. [SPEAKER_00]: So he holds up a rosarius and tells an imperial guardsman to shoot him in the chest. [SPEAKER_00]: And the guardsman shoots. [SPEAKER_00]: And of course, the lies is deflected. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the rosarius, when it doesn't flash, is a big beam of light. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a foreshield. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just going to get mad for numerous occasions here. [SPEAKER_00]: First off, why didn't one of the daughters shoot him with a boulder? [SPEAKER_00]: Two, it's just a dumb concept. [SPEAKER_00]: Three, and this is the more important one to me. [SPEAKER_00]: Fine. [SPEAKER_00]: At this time, these warrior women who've been doing karate in the garage don't know what a Rosario says. [SPEAKER_00]: Fast forward. [SPEAKER_00]: I do, you know, I'm not skipping this at all. [SPEAKER_01]: I want you to know that in our notes, [SPEAKER_01]: This particular part of the cast is just titled, John Grant. [SPEAKER_00]: Cause I'm ranting. [SPEAKER_00]: fine, they fall for the Rosarius trick, neat. [SPEAKER_00]: Then they get later, we're fattened, fast forwarding a little bit later. [SPEAKER_00]: They end up back on Terra getting outfitted by the AdMEC and no one went, oh, the Rosarius has a forceville than it. [SPEAKER_00]: So what he did was this, like no one ever puts two and two together. [SPEAKER_01]: This was a bad party trick. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're just like you literally got got fooled by each stupid. [SPEAKER_00]: Like they saw that like no one asked the question. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, he basically put out a bulletproof vest and had somebody shared him went [SPEAKER_00]: I'm invulnerable. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at me, aren't I incredible? [SPEAKER_00]: Again, I do like the sisters. [SPEAKER_00]: I just need some elements of their story. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, they immediately declare absolute fealty to goish because he is now, but it's a goge or goge. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going with goge because goge or goge, and it could be goge, but I'm going with goge. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually like goge because it's easier to say than what it actually is. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, what it always directs you. [SPEAKER_00]: Is there anything? [SPEAKER_01]: We're not talking about that. [SPEAKER_01]: Just keep anything. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't listen to the audiobooks Brad does. [SPEAKER_01]: I hate too much. [SPEAKER_01]: Just keep going with Goge because it's so much easier. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no, I have too much ADHD to actually listen to listen to audio books. [SPEAKER_00]: I've tried it. [SPEAKER_00]: I have to re-less new them over and over again. [SPEAKER_00]: So Goge takes all the dollars the emperor, as many as he can, back with him to Terra. [SPEAKER_00]: And once they set up their own headquarters, where they get all the best weaponry and equipment in the imperial. [SPEAKER_00]: And they do start beating the shit out of people. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but not instantly. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not we haven't concluded the John Rat period. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's common back now. [SPEAKER_00]: First off, they give them bolters. [SPEAKER_00]: The same weapon the space marines carry. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: The seven foot tall, eight hundred pound. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't look at the power. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just like, and all they say in the lore is they have a smaller version of a balter. [SPEAKER_00]: Same stats. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: exact same stats. [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing's different in by the same stats in tenth edition have been the same stats in every edition of the game as a space marine boulder to know different thirty years now. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no difference and they so they can hold the same weapon the space marine can hold. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it should actually [SPEAKER_01]: Break their arms. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And they can shoot as well as a space marine at the same distance as space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: The same accuracy of the space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: Same damage. [SPEAKER_00]: Same. [SPEAKER_00]: But it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: They also get a light version of power armor. [SPEAKER_00]: No carapace, no black carapace whatsoever. [SPEAKER_00]: Probably affects just they should shake up poison at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But again, so this is actually it's funny. [SPEAKER_00]: We made the cast. [SPEAKER_00]: And when we were doing the cast on the space marine, I was teasing Brad that the organs don't work. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they don't now, so they basically gave the same thing to the sisters. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, oh, yeah, I can just totally use this power and this bolt. [SPEAKER_00]: He looked, hey, don't tell anyone, but they went ask, you got a smaller version of it. [SPEAKER_00]: And such as like, okay, sure, they're sure, but it deflects same armors. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Same armors, same, same, everything. [SPEAKER_01]: Same movement. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So there's how to same movement, like everything's identical. [SPEAKER_01]: This fast fast everything else. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Thunder Warrior armor was only on part of the Thunder Warriors bodies. [SPEAKER_00]: The sisters, nope. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, they don't have helmets, do that. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, some of them do. [SPEAKER_01]: You can't check out their cool tennis space world style. [SPEAKER_00]: That's true. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Check out their sweet tattoos and cool air cuts. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the sisters and just someone will call me out. [SPEAKER_00]: The custodes also have power armor without the black carapace. [SPEAKER_00]: The sisters are not genetically modified. [SPEAKER_00]: They just believe in the ampere. [SPEAKER_00]: They just believe in the ampere and that lets them power their their power armor. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying, simply, this is an easier way to build an army. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, giant over for now. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it turned the page now. [SPEAKER_00]: There's more coming. [SPEAKER_00]: So Goge converts the daughters to his personal bodyguard. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, they were, and this is important because they were insanely devout and followers of the emperor and they believe Goge was the herald of the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: And a hundred percent also the sister start beating the shit out of every one of Goge's personal perceived enemies. [SPEAKER_01]: So what they that's a thing that this this is why eventually their realization becomes such a big betrayal of Goge to them because Goge sends them on personal vendetta mission [SPEAKER_01]: for most of all of their missions. [SPEAKER_01]: And they wipe, stop. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: They wrecked. [SPEAKER_01]: But they wrecked populists. [SPEAKER_01]: They just decimate. [SPEAKER_01]: his enemies. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and this and what's happening is that Goge is also still using the fraterist Templar. [SPEAKER_00]: So with with it's what he the sisters aren't that pop at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: So to Brad's point what he's doing is he sends the fraterist Templar, which is actually a large group. [SPEAKER_00]: He sends them the wage worth if anyone tries to come back and do anything about it. [SPEAKER_00]: He sends the sisters or the daughters at this stage. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not ideal for a lot of people who dislike it. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, I need to really seal this one. [SPEAKER_01]: The daughters of the Emperor, hundred percent think they are doing righteous work. [SPEAKER_01]: The word of the emperor is what they are doing right now. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're so focused on that. [SPEAKER_01]: They think they're doing basically the good works. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm alluding to what's going to happen, obviously. [SPEAKER_01]: But the daughters of the emperor are one hundred percent. [SPEAKER_01]: We are in the right. [SPEAKER_00]: We are doing, you know, the emperor's will. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that was the way the daughters of the emperor are not loyal to coach. [SPEAKER_00]: They are loyal to the emperor and they believe. [SPEAKER_00]: that Goge is a peak, basically, of the emperors. [SPEAKER_00]: So, therefore, they will do anything he goes. [SPEAKER_00]: He's the heir to the heir. [SPEAKER_00]: He's the voice of the emperors. [SPEAKER_00]: For a shadowing, so long as that stays the case. [SPEAKER_00]: Correct. [SPEAKER_01]: Which is a big thing, because they're doing a bunch of shit that they think is morally terrible. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's for the emperors. [SPEAKER_01]: So, and we're the most not loyal. [SPEAKER_01]: We're the most loyal. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Period. [SPEAKER_00]: So, on the other side of the galaxy, [SPEAKER_00]: And not just there, but all around the galaxy, there begins to be a small resistance movement. [SPEAKER_00]: On the other side of the galaxy, there is a man named Sebastian Thor. [SPEAKER_00]: So Thor prostilatizes for the confederation of light. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what he, he, he, he firmly believes in. [SPEAKER_00]: and they claim that the Confederation like this is he claims that the sacrifice that the emperor made and tooming himself in the golden throne is the example everyone should live for it's a life of sacrifice and poverty. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he said that these are the front says. [SPEAKER_01]: He gave up his life for humanity. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I also want to point out, because again, I like talking at some of the stuff randomly. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what St. [SPEAKER_00]: Francis. [SPEAKER_00]: It is the St. [SPEAKER_00]: Francis. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of a CC. [SPEAKER_00]: So, go to me to say, was not a fan of the war? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Understatement of the. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And it sends the Fratera's Templar, like a fleet of them to go kill him. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is the first time he does this. [SPEAKER_00]: A warp storm actually eats the... eats the flea. [SPEAKER_00]: The whole thing, which is later referred to as a storm of the Emperor's wrath, because it was viewed later in history as being evidence that the Emperor was against Goge and Fourth Door. [SPEAKER_00]: This, by the way, continues. [SPEAKER_00]: Goge keeps selling, sending assassins after Thor, and it's hilarious. [SPEAKER_00]: The every single time they either mysteriously die, or they end up becoming supporters. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, guys, it's awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: So this continues to grow and grow, and the confederation of light starts to conquer affected by the galaxy of gas goes. [SPEAKER_00]: And goes becomes more and more stuck back into the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, the ad-meck make a comment effectively, stating that we don't support Go's, we support the Fratera Stamblar. [SPEAKER_00]: and goes freaks out obviously, but that's not funny. [SPEAKER_00]: He actually declares the ad mech and the adeptist of star days is both heretics and enemies of the imperium to which the space springs went, yo man, what the f? [SPEAKER_00]: Like they didn't say anything. [SPEAKER_01]: And they didn't even know because again, they're doing the space springs are great about a ton of stuff. [SPEAKER_01]: They're wildly bad about knowing what's [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, well, these points have no interest in terror. [SPEAKER_00]: They've never had interest. [SPEAKER_01]: No, we're safe. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we're safe to hear. [SPEAKER_01]: You see terror. [SPEAKER_01]: We're not talking about the planet. [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this means the space means they're so focused on weight because they're focused on war to be fair. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the space screens are costly like, hey, you know, the emperors, children are invading planet one seven eight in this sector and they're going, all right, we're on our way. [SPEAKER_00]: So we don't lose one seven eight. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what they're brain. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what they do. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: They're not smart. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: They're not worried about who's freaking [SPEAKER_01]: taking out the trash of a fifteen sector who's delivering milk care. [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, yeah, man, figure it out. [SPEAKER_00]: Dude, that's not what I do. [SPEAKER_00]: How many bolt rounds do we have? [SPEAKER_00]: How many bolters do we have? [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: All of our crap here? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: All right. [SPEAKER_00]: Then whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: Move on your day. [SPEAKER_00]: So they don't care who's in charge. [SPEAKER_00]: And the space means effectively, just go, all right, I guess we have to deal with this now. [SPEAKER_00]: And they send a strike force, made of imperial fists, black Templars, I know it. [SPEAKER_00]: They are fire hawks and soul drinkers. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what they are. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't know how fire hawks and soul drinkers I just put those together are both super cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, they go down there to actually outgoge along with the support of the ad mech. [SPEAKER_00]: It appears that they did this with no research into what they were going into, and they just decided to attack the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: So they do what they always... [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because you'll obviously the space marines and the ad mech are famous for look for not planning their attacks. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yes, it's like the number one thing the space marines do. [SPEAKER_00]: The number one thing they do. [SPEAKER_00]: Yo, those wagons. [SPEAKER_00]: They never do that. [SPEAKER_00]: Even the space wolves, I mean, their plan might be weird, but it's a plan. [SPEAKER_00]: The space, the space marines were just like, yeah, we'll just [SPEAKER_00]: go down there, just figure it out and we'll figure it out. [SPEAKER_00]: So they do their normal attack. [SPEAKER_00]: They bombard the capital from the space and they fire much of drop pods into it. [SPEAKER_00]: The drop pods land and the daughters of emperor come out with their bolsters and power armor. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just with special weapon. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's special. [SPEAKER_00]: Melted guns, lads, cannons, and just start wrecking the space marries. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, again, that this was done to make the sisters look really good from a lower standpoint, but it just doesn't make sense that the space marines are landing and a lightning drop pot of salt. [SPEAKER_00]: And the sisters are just like, yeah, I got this. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about it. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, this is what space marines do. [SPEAKER_00]: The ultramarines, I think, okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, guys, the bitch is much, but I have to keep doing it. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, the space marines are supposed to be some of the most tactically gifted. [SPEAKER_01]: In versatile. [SPEAKER_00]: In versatile. [SPEAKER_01]: They are wrapped on the whole thing about space marines. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'll give you this. [SPEAKER_01]: I've never been going to ditch as much as you are on this one. [SPEAKER_01]: But space marines whole thing is that they adapt to any combat environment immediately. [SPEAKER_00]: They get pinned down for a month. [SPEAKER_00]: it's it's how about this too long yet months they spend months pinned down outside the imperial palace by the by the sister so [SPEAKER_01]: The, I love the fight. [SPEAKER_00]: John's getting his man as I get usually. [SPEAKER_00]: I love this. [SPEAKER_00]: It just gets it's so infuriant because the space screens have organs and power. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm on all the things that allow them to fight from the days on end. [SPEAKER_00]: They've got weaponry technology. [SPEAKER_00]: They also have the ad-making orbit shooting down. [SPEAKER_00]: And this sister's just went bad. [SPEAKER_00]: We're good. [SPEAKER_01]: The rest of the story is cool that you hated, I love it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a map case. [SPEAKER_00]: The rest of the story is cool, but you can write it in a funny way, which is what I went with. [SPEAKER_01]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: So I view this as, all of this war is going on between this month-long conflict is happening outside of the imperial palace between the sisters, probably some cards in as well, and the space marines. [SPEAKER_00]: And eventually gets loud enough that one custod says, hey, what's going on at the neighbor's house and pops their head out the window? [SPEAKER_00]: and that Saturian who's named this is Wang Gynas, which that name sounded familiar when I wrote it down so I had to go look at that. [SPEAKER_01]: So the dude that he literally used the spirit of destiny to stab Jesus. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the guy, so yeah, the GW for, and I have no idea why decided this custod is going to have the same name as the Roman senturian who stabbed Jesus. [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: That must be the story super cool, though. [SPEAKER_00]: The story is awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: The story is funny, but I just like basically the custodians pop out the space Marines just radio in. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, hey, here's what's going on. [SPEAKER_00]: And longgiveness effectively goes fine grabs a bunch of custodians teleport into the imperial palace and just walks up to the head of the daughters of the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: And I say, walks up. [SPEAKER_00]: This, the daughters were shooting at them because those were just like, don't care. [SPEAKER_01]: They're like, look man, they, they roll you to be super tough, but I'm a custom. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm a custom. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, no, like, just, no, we're not going that far. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just walking up there to be yelled at. [SPEAKER_00]: And he just like, and he basically says shut up. [SPEAKER_00]: come with me. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll take you to the emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: And the daughters immediately get super cool. [SPEAKER_01]: They shut everything down. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: And leader of the sisters goes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That would be awesome. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, would you like to talk to God? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Today. [SPEAKER_00]: Right now she went. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm in this. [SPEAKER_01]: I just cleared my schedule. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go ahead and talk to God. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It is written in the lore that there is no record of what was said. [SPEAKER_00]: So what we say, we don't know is that it was in this is an intentional thing by GW. [SPEAKER_01]: No one knows what was said in front of the Golden Throne with the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: And apparently, whatever was said was not. [SPEAKER_01]: Progo. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it was not a, like, yeah, you're following the right guy. [SPEAKER_00]: And the, I love this. [SPEAKER_00]: The custodes just teleport back to like the Imperial Palace. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at the sisters and say, good luck and leave. [SPEAKER_01]: He gets beyond pissed. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Basically goes, oh, all that shit that I didn't want to do in the first place was because I'm following a tyrannical ruler. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're going to take care of that. [SPEAKER_00]: But worth it. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm following a heritage. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: She was she had been following and doing the work. [SPEAKER_01]: And she gets the hair a place at the table that is a wild eighties movie reference. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And just goes. [SPEAKER_01]: Eight going out like that. [SPEAKER_00]: And so she goes and she singled so her and her retoon walk in a ret-newy. [SPEAKER_00]: Someone collected someone corrected me on Spotify. [SPEAKER_00]: I was pronouncing that one wrong and I still going with ret-new. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, is it ret-new? [SPEAKER_00]: Is it ret-new? [SPEAKER_00]: It's ret-new. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, not ret-new. [SPEAKER_00]: Ah, things happen. [SPEAKER_00]: forty three years old and you learn a new thing. [SPEAKER_00]: Um so with her retinue. [SPEAKER_00]: I still don't do Conrad Cruz. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: My bad. [SPEAKER_00]: Turn her retinue walk in and she just starts yelling at go choose response who realize what's about to happen says I don't have time to die. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm too busy. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, he apparently found time in a schedule because she's got his head down. [SPEAKER_00]: Goages very dead. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, I think he got out to lucky because I think that they were going to do worship to him. [SPEAKER_00]: If they knew what a penitent engine was. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he would have been in one immediately. [SPEAKER_01]: And they were beyond pissed. [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, without Goge there, Sebastian Thor takes control of Ecclesiarchy, gets the terror, and he reforms the church again. [SPEAKER_01]: He's actually, I don't know, fairly legit. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I can't call him Sebastian Thor. [SPEAKER_00]: It's Martin Luther. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, Victoria, it's Martin Luther. [SPEAKER_00]: He did it. [SPEAKER_01]: He was wildly more successful Martin Luther was, too. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it was just nail-thirteen tries to do a church if you took it over, but it's what Luther wanted to do. [SPEAKER_00]: So Luther comes through a reforms that the church to make what his mind should be. [SPEAKER_00]: That it shouldn't be a figure of government. [SPEAKER_00]: It should just be. [SPEAKER_00]: It should be just an ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_00]: So he limits the power to keep it focused on worship. [SPEAKER_00]: But he does this, like, really dumb. [SPEAKER_01]: Let me say this one because you're you know how much I hate it. [SPEAKER_01]: You hate it so much. [SPEAKER_01]: He declares that the Cleusiarchy is banned from having a men under arms. [SPEAKER_01]: Basically, there can't be [SPEAKER_01]: A male fighting force. [SPEAKER_00]: No, this was him. [SPEAKER_00]: No, he's got some men in it. [SPEAKER_00]: I know, but I hate this so much because they say it out like he says men of arms, but Ha Ha, we found a loophole that's women. [SPEAKER_00]: He was looking at the daughters of the emperor when he said this. [SPEAKER_00]: I know. [SPEAKER_00]: Just, I mean, he could have just as he easily said, the ecclesiarchy will have no military except for those people and point at the daughters of emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: Is that he had to make an intentional loophole? [SPEAKER_00]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: And then they immediately became the all female force. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just like just why. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, I love the fact that you hate that. [SPEAKER_00]: He did so because it's not it's not well written. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what about it's like the story would have worked just as well for him to say the truth, which should have been [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Ecclesiarchy is going to have its own military, but its military is going to be made up of the most loyal members to the Emperor that have ever lived. [SPEAKER_00]: That, because that's what it really is. [SPEAKER_00]: The sister, the McSister's awesome is that they have unending love and devotion to the Emperor and his power, as opposed to the Fraterus Templar who were just a bunch of soldiers. [SPEAKER_01]: They also have absolute rage against all opponents of the Emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's give them some credit. [SPEAKER_00]: So the Reformation now has to happen. [SPEAKER_00]: And the sisters first off get renamed the Adeptis sororitas. [SPEAKER_01]: which puzzle that because I think they were not doing injustice in all of these. [SPEAKER_01]: Anytime you are made an adaptus, it means you're now, you're now official. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a real, you are an arm of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not that this is a, this is not a sticker, good job. [SPEAKER_01]: This is you are legit, you are forever now, you're a deptus. [SPEAKER_01]: It means again, [SPEAKER_01]: You are a, are you an arm of the amperium? [SPEAKER_01]: The arm of the amperium? [SPEAKER_01]: The arm of the amperium? [SPEAKER_00]: Where I get annoyed here? [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I get annoyed again. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, scissors fans. [SPEAKER_00]: So they're a military arm of the ecclesiarchy, which means that they should be waging, which they waged holy wars against the enemies of the imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: So like you know, the gray knights would be fighting the war page and some chaos. [SPEAKER_00]: So the scissors also fight Xenos, rebels, pirates, really anything. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually don't have, like, granites have a direct purpose. [SPEAKER_00]: The granites, granites should never be fighting against, like, even Drew Carrey, because they're not, you know, heretical. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, to be fair. [SPEAKER_01]: The sisters start shit with everything. [SPEAKER_00]: That's my point. [SPEAKER_00]: The sisters are just like, they're just another one. [SPEAKER_00]: They end up effectively kind of where they were with coach, just without the evil is what I'm getting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're on unchain the wrath. [SPEAKER_01]: They just gotta go punch it. [SPEAKER_00]: So with that in mind, they have to blow up quite a bit because they went from a bodyguard to an actual military. [SPEAKER_00]: So they had to get a lot more of them. [SPEAKER_00]: So first off, Alicia Dominic Dominica, who's the one who cut Goja's head off, she becomes ahead of the sisters. [SPEAKER_01]: She's also awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: And she is awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: And I really do the thing I like about her is that in the story, she really is actively trying to atone for the past mistakes and make sure they can never happen again. [SPEAKER_01]: She's a true believer. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, like, well, she met the Emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what I'm saying. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, she was like, but that's the, but she was a true believer before. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm openly an atheist. [SPEAKER_00]: And if I met God, I would change my mind. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: She's like, hey, I was a, I was pretty sure that this was the correct thing to do. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I had a lunch date with God. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like, oh, okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Fair enough. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm pretty big on. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: He seems real. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's have this. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So what the first thing she does is creates me, it's called the convocation of Nephilim, which is, it just bound the sisters to be part of the auto-hereticals. [SPEAKER_00]: They would now the official military might of the inquisition, and they were going to fight heresy. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is different, and this is important because now they're hunting down the goages of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: But that being said, they're also working with the inquisition, who kind of are the goages of the Imperium sometimes. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're willing to smoke that at a moment's notice. [SPEAKER_00]: But I just, I think this is funny because I think the sisters went from, we're never gonna work under a goge again. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna align ourselves with the inquisition. [SPEAKER_00]: The goge is. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But also, but also the sisters and tons of stories as soon as they find out. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, they turned. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They have no loyalty to it. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a hundred and eighty degrees, like instantly. [SPEAKER_00]: Boo! [SPEAKER_00]: You're right. [SPEAKER_00]: We should give the fans of sisters the credit here that they that they are do. [SPEAKER_00]: The sisters if they think you're a heretic will take no orders from you. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care how long we've been listening to you. [SPEAKER_00]: It ends instant. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep. [SPEAKER_01]: They get one email that says that you're a heretic and they go, oh, it looks like you're dead now. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It looks like my flavor still works. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It looks like you're in a room. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Or to go. [SPEAKER_00]: Click, click, burn. [SPEAKER_00]: The next thing that they had to do, though, obviously, was grow the order. [SPEAKER_00]: And [SPEAKER_00]: The scissors need bodies. [SPEAKER_00]: Luckily, there was a program well established that collects orphans from around the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: School of Pregenium, the SAS NEPA, so we went into these a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: If you want to know more about it, go listen to this. [SPEAKER_00]: Take a look at that. [SPEAKER_00]: It's it's dark. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't like I don't I will reference it a lot, but I'm talking about it because it's a horrible thing. [SPEAKER_00]: So effectively every female orphan in the entire imperial as at one point tested to see if they could be part of the sister's battle. [SPEAKER_00]: if they can pass, then that's where they go. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's a pretty good gig if I'm being honest because they do start breaking up the orders this time. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I just want to dive one more time into how the hell do these people carry? [SPEAKER_00]: No, I can't. [SPEAKER_00]: And bolters without a black carapace. [SPEAKER_00]: Earlier it made some sense to me. [SPEAKER_00]: I can't get over this and I apologize guys, but earlier made some sense to me. [SPEAKER_00]: We had stories like Typhus and Abadan were very large, even Luther to a point. [SPEAKER_00]: They were very large. [SPEAKER_00]: They ended up Luther too. [SPEAKER_00]: So it was like, okay, well, maybe all the sisters from this angry world had some special genetics. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's what allowed them to do all these incredible events. [SPEAKER_01]: But then it doesn't matter because they start collecting [SPEAKER_00]: Females from every- Yes, and it's just as effective. [SPEAKER_00]: So apparently, I'm actually at the are space rooms, I even real. [SPEAKER_01]: Do we, do we kill about sixty five percent of them for absolutely? [SPEAKER_00]: No, I just can't figure it out. [SPEAKER_00]: Or it's like, is it just their old regular men, but their power only, but lifts in? [SPEAKER_00]: What's going on here, guys? [SPEAKER_00]: I need to get a power hammer. [SPEAKER_00]: But then the last thing that they do, though, is they break the order up into factions. [SPEAKER_00]: I really do like this orders, but I would call them factions to become known as orders. [SPEAKER_00]: I like this a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's because this is where, to me, the sisters become a really interesting faction. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't just become a military faction. [SPEAKER_00]: They serve other purposes within the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to dive into them in a minute. [SPEAKER_00]: First, when they break off, which we're not going to talk about here is orders militant because that next week, which is all the military element of it. [SPEAKER_00]: So obviously, this is a battle over there. [SPEAKER_00]: The next ones that were more important, because the sisters, what I guess we probably should have mentioned at some point, but so we'll do it now, the sisters are beloved throughout the Imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: They may be one of the most positive outside of like, hey, I'm in danger. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank God, the space Marines are here. [SPEAKER_00]: The sisters presence is a warming and positive. [SPEAKER_01]: There's their beacons of faith, and they are easily identifiable. [SPEAKER_01]: But I think the population, but they do good, they do good act. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not just like a priest. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I'm saying they're also very easy to recognize. [SPEAKER_01]: But they're relatable. [SPEAKER_01]: They're not nine foot tall monsters. [SPEAKER_00]: Actually, from question that in the discord, let me know. [SPEAKER_00]: Do they all have white hair? [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, all the models that I was going to have white hair. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell them about black hair. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, cool. [SPEAKER_01]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: But I won't go into that because there's a clone thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's like that. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: So one of the, so let's spend some time with something, the non combat or orders. [SPEAKER_00]: The first one is the hospitality, which is just, [SPEAKER_00]: Awesome, actually. [SPEAKER_00]: But you can guess what it is. [SPEAKER_00]: So these are the nuts. [SPEAKER_00]: These are the, it is stolen from like, I'm not, when Brad was younger when you would go to, when you would go to the hospital. [SPEAKER_01]: And one of the biggest things is that they actually have holy powers, but they also have a ton of tech with them. [SPEAKER_00]: They're actual doctors. [SPEAKER_00]: They're actual medics and doctors. [SPEAKER_01]: They're medical doctors from the year, forty thousand. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're doing stuff where, hey, man, I'm about to die. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, nah, that's a flesh one. [SPEAKER_00]: Take it and just say laughing on our last cast we were doing, I had McLeod. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't the ad-mic doctor. [SPEAKER_01]: New. [SPEAKER_00]: The second I could. [SPEAKER_01]: This looks like a definitely fatal. [SPEAKER_01]: I have a hang now. [SPEAKER_00]: Definitely fit. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to remove your whole arm. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So these, the auto's hospitality area would actually, I might be a hospital or I don't remember. [SPEAKER_00]: I keep saying hospitality, I couldn't go into French instinctively. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, they would actually serve as medics and doctors who we've attached to Astro-Militarms. [SPEAKER_00]: It was an Astro-Militarms soldiers recovering. [SPEAKER_00]: You'd actually be tended to by a sister of battle, which is super cool. [SPEAKER_00]: The next one is equally important is auto's familials, which is the teachers and educators of the [SPEAKER_00]: Now, it sounds better than it is because the Imperium doesn't actually educate people, it just educates nobles. [SPEAKER_01]: They were preachers though. [SPEAKER_01]: This is where the preachers come from, especially if you're talking about the game, preacher, the preacher model. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So, comes from this sect, you know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: Which are people that are trying to push the love, the worship of the Emperor, [SPEAKER_01]: and they are so devoted and we'll again get into this more in the next cast, they get superpowers from this. [SPEAKER_00]: But I, so the order's familiar, I also do laugh at a little bit because what their main role is is to serve as educators, but also advisers that planetary governors. [SPEAKER_00]: And I view this, you can look at this one of two ways. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, they're very intelligent, they can help you. [SPEAKER_00]: or there is a sister of battle in power armor holding a bolter to your face right there. [SPEAKER_00]: Right over your shoulder while you're making decisions for the Imperium. [SPEAKER_01]: Feel free to make something I think is heretical. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I feel like the term advisors need some pretty heavy air quotes. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, the way heretical actions real big leeway. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: You're just at a piece of like you're making, you know, you're having your board meeting in your high world. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's a sister of battle holding a bolter in the corner just like I'm here for advice guys. [SPEAKER_00]: Does anyone, does anyone need any advice? [SPEAKER_01]: Anyone, I'm gonna do this and you kind of look over and go. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we should worship the Emperor, worship the Emperor. [SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking about having salad for lunch. [SPEAKER_00]: And she kind of like does it? [SPEAKER_00]: She's her finger off the trigger. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, yes, we're having salad for lunch. [SPEAKER_00]: That's how the salad is guys. [SPEAKER_00]: Salad is this. [SPEAKER_00]: The next group is a order dialogist. [SPEAKER_00]: This one's actually, to me, the most interesting of them all. [SPEAKER_01]: They're also super cool. [SPEAKER_01]: They're super cool. [SPEAKER_01]: But on the board. [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: Dialogists are super cool. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: The board had careless. [SPEAKER_00]: The lore is awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: So one of the problems, if you think about it, this is why I like when the GW writes things that makes really a logistics sense. [SPEAKER_00]: The Imperium is going to consistently interact with Zeno's, both living beings and the technology. [SPEAKER_00]: And the problem is that the [SPEAKER_00]: Zeno's language is viewed as heretical, because you can't, you don't know, you know, again, defending them here. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't know if what you're about to read is a spell. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it exactly? [SPEAKER_01]: Did you just read as somebody else's book? [SPEAKER_00]: So who can trust with the knowledge to be able to read and understand those languages? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're going to give it to the most faithful members of the entire period, which is the sisters. [SPEAKER_00]: So the order of dialogue is our masters of Xenol language, culture, technology. [SPEAKER_00]: And so they're able to actually, if they need, they can translate any old Xenol languages that they know into hygothic, both verbally and in written form. [SPEAKER_00]: That's so cool to me. [SPEAKER_00]: That's so cool to be like, okay, we have, again, good for you, GW, and right, it's because you would need this. [SPEAKER_00]: How could we function with all these Zenos out there, given you usually disgrace shoot them, but in those random cases, this is where it really pays massive dividends. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is an amazing order. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's a bunch of other ones that kind of come in after that where like we've got orders that whose job it is to guard specific relics is an order who are. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll get into the more exciting ones, which is the next cast. [SPEAKER_00]: The next cast. [SPEAKER_00]: Right, we'll spend time on the militant orders. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I wanted some time on that because I kind of, I need to close on this because I recognize them right now. [SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of crapping on this. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know, I'm not crapping on this. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple of sisters right where like, oh, it's [SPEAKER_00]: No, no mail. [SPEAKER_00]: They'll have no standing group of men to fight for them. [SPEAKER_00]: But what about the woman shut up? [SPEAKER_00]: You can write that better. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, all the power armor things are problem. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't, don't, don't pull on, Alan. [SPEAKER_00]: The power armor is a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: The power armor is a big one. [SPEAKER_00]: It could definitely wear power armor. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, but like, and carry pillow. [SPEAKER_00]: You didn't plan space Marines for thirty years. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And they get out run by a sister and the exact same amount. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's super good. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, but you know, if I always somebody by six hundred pounds, I should also probably be able to. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they carry multi-multice, which is a tank one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they actually they carry them more than space marines do. [SPEAKER_00]: True story actually, full squad of multi-multice, space marines like now that would slow us down. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, probably get points. [SPEAKER_00]: So next week, we're going to dive hard into the order of militants, weapons, units, tactics, and a lot of like the key characters, especially what the hell it assign to his statement. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a happy demon though. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a faithful demon. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a very smiley face demon. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a demon. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't. [SPEAKER_00]: So we hope you guys enjoyed this cast and the sisters and look, but we look forward to you guys joining us next week. [SPEAKER_00]: But until then, it's been John Barsati and Brad Jester. [UNKNOWN]: you
