Speaker 1: So this weekend I am.

00:00:20
Speaker 2: I am still recovering from we did not just a birthday party.

00:00:24
Speaker 1: We did a birthday extravaganza. Oh yes, yeah, Indy really gets screwed.

00:00:29
Speaker 2: You know, his birthday is December twenty eighth, so it's like we always have birthday, you know, we either have to do him in January or early December, or like last year, we just didn't have a birthday party for him.

00:00:39
Speaker 1: It's just like it just doesn't happen.

00:00:41
Speaker 3: You know.

00:00:41
Speaker 1: It's like we asked him, do you want to do something? He just says no.

00:00:44
Speaker 2: Anyway, so he was very upset that last year we did nothing. So this year my wife took it upon herself to basically yes and everything Indy wanted and cram it all into one weekend.

00:00:56
Speaker 1: Oh my god.

00:00:57
Speaker 2: I was merely the assistant chauffeur along for the ride. I was still I had my own birthday gathering on Friday.

00:01:05
Speaker 1: So I woke up on Saturday morning. I was like, where am I going? What am I doing? But so here's how it started.

00:01:09
Speaker 2: At ten am, first movie screening of five Nights of Freday's Saturday Morning, Five Nights of Freddy's two A Bunch of his friends meet us at the theater or some come to the house.

00:01:19
Speaker 1: We drive over there.

00:01:20
Speaker 2: Then right next to the movie theater is a Benny hannahs Hell. Yes, Benny Hannah lunch with now more kids joined for that.

00:01:28
Speaker 1: Some kids whose parents didn't want them to see the scary movie they met us for that. So we have two tables of.

00:01:32
Speaker 2: Bennie Hanna insanitay kids all over. Then we bring them back to our place. Oh no, wait, sorry, I'm forgetting. Right next to Benny Hannah is a place called FunBox, which is giant bouncy castle. Kids have ninety minutes of pure bouncy castle.

00:01:49
Speaker 4: Run the bouncy castle right after Benny's gone.

00:01:51
Speaker 5: This is directly after a Benni Hanna.

00:01:55
Speaker 2: Let them work off the calories man nate, so they ran like then came back to our place and kids are Some kids are leaving for some of these events and coming back for others.

00:02:04
Speaker 1: They come back to our place. It's getting dark.

00:02:06
Speaker 2: They play a zombie infection tag game that India has designed where he hands out head lamps and they're running around our yard. And then it's a sleepover. Not everybody sleeps over, but then we have a sleepover of.

00:02:19
Speaker 1: About six or seven boys all in the living room.

00:02:25
Speaker 2: Yeah, they finally go to bed at like ten ten thirty, of course, wake up at four four thirty running through the halls.

00:02:32
Speaker 1: Then after we make them breakfast.

00:02:34
Speaker 2: Then we go to VR place and we went and did Sandbox VR and played Squid Games and eighty Palooza. I know, yeah exactly, man. And I was worried, like when she had this.

00:02:46
Speaker 1: Plan, I was like, what are you doing?

00:02:48
Speaker 2: You know, but my wife is like the ultimate producer, organizer, event planner, And it went perfectly, like it was totally smooth. It was just it was super fun. And like I said, I was just kind of the show for and and assistant. But it was so fun to be around because Indy's.

00:03:04
Speaker 1: He's turned he's turned turned.

00:03:06
Speaker 2: Eleven, and so he's at that age where like I'm you know, I'm used to being the parent with a group of kids or like with one of his friends where it's like you're the one kind of in charge, you know, You're like leading the conversation, picking the music, and like that's gone.

00:03:22
Speaker 1: Like now I'm just like along for.

00:03:24
Speaker 2: The ride, right, I just get to sit and listen to them talk to each other and like they care so much more what each other.

00:03:31
Speaker 1: Think than what any adult thinks.

00:03:34
Speaker 2: And you know, it's like it's already gone, like there, you know, they're entering middle school next year, and so it's just like it's just about their friendship. It's just about the the like the language they speak to each other, and.

00:03:43
Speaker 1: Like it was so fun. They're just a great group of kids.

00:03:47
Speaker 2: You know, it's just so cool to be along for the ride and not have any responsibility and to just be a fly on the wall and listen to them talking.

00:03:53
Speaker 5: And he isn't a smoker in the bunch? Is there?

00:03:56
Speaker 1: No?

00:03:56
Speaker 5: No, that was all my friends ten eleven years old.

00:04:00
Speaker 3: It was we need sneak out and that you know, at the middle of the night in a in a sleepover, you'd be outside smoking cigarettes.

00:04:05
Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, it's so great that that's not a thing anymore.

00:04:08
Speaker 4: I know.

00:04:08
Speaker 2: Wow, God, No, it's definitely it's definitely like pre middle school middle school, you know what I mean, Like they're not talking about girls or guys or and you know, there's like none of that yet.

00:04:17
Speaker 1: It's just like nothing.

00:04:18
Speaker 4: They're atlantic.

00:04:19
Speaker 2: But you know what it is, it's that they now give each other. It's like they've reached the teasing, joking and like jockeying for status position, you know, like they're always but in a fun, playful way, like they all love each other, but there's a lot of like who.

00:04:33
Speaker 1: Got the front seat? Who do you do?

00:04:35
Speaker 3: Do it?

00:04:35
Speaker 2: And like if somebody's three weeks younger that they like lorded over each other. You know, it's like that kind of stuff that's just so funny to hear, and they care so much about it.

00:04:44
Speaker 1: It was it was just a blast.

00:04:45
Speaker 2: I was just like, Wow, we've entered a new like and like I said, like, as long as I can be someone involved, I can just be a fly on the wall.

00:04:51
Speaker 3: Well, you talked about your wife's planning and so this is what happened.

00:04:56
Speaker 5: So I don't know if you're even aware of this.

00:04:58
Speaker 3: We we were there at your birthday party for obviously Danielle unfortunately couldn't go, but we we were there reppin' Pod meets World and talking to Alex and alex Is. You know, We're sitting there having you know, just a conversation. I was like, oh, you know, my birthday party this year, I'm actually gonna throw a birthday party where I'm going to do the uh you know, the problem. And she goes, all right, well, let's let's pick a weekend. And I go, no, no, no, it's this is in August. She goes, no, no, no, let's pick a weekend. She pulls out her phone yep, and she shows me her calendar and I'm like, how do you how do you have stuff planned through August? She's like, all right, so this won't work. All right, this weekend? We we should do this weekend.

00:05:32
Speaker 5: She's like, I'll help you.

00:05:33
Speaker 3: And I'm like okay, and she goes, well, let me look at your calendar and I open it up. I go, this is all that's on my calendar. And every day at noon it just says take pills. So it just reminds me to take my vitamins. And she's laughing, hysterics world, take pills. Sure from tomorrow on, I have nothing planned and she's got August of twenty twenty six up. We've already picked the weekend because that's what you guys are going to be in town.

00:06:00
Speaker 1: Okay, so it's on my calendar.

00:06:01
Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know, like it's like the weekend after my birthday it's like the fifteenth something like that.

00:06:07
Speaker 4: Okay, let's see I'm going to go to August.

00:06:10
Speaker 3: So it was I'm like, how do you have this plan? And then she's showing other people at the party. She's like, his whole calendar just says take pills.

00:06:18
Speaker 6: Yes, my plans for the year stop at June of twenty twenty six.

00:06:23
Speaker 4: I have nothing for July or August.

00:06:27
Speaker 3: I don't other than taking pills, which I forgot yesterday, even with the reminder, I don't know what I'm doing on Thursday. So it's crazy. And she said the same thing. She's like, I love to do this, I love the plan. I want to help with the party. I was like, oh, okay, I stay.

00:06:41
Speaker 1: On my calendar right now, save the day Will's birthday. Yep, okay, sounds good the calendar. I'll probably be doing a lot of work. I'll be cleaning up and organizing.

00:06:50
Speaker 3: I'll just see the other thing you just you blew through, which is the most important part of the day, is BENI Hannah?

00:06:57
Speaker 1: Oh so much fun.

00:06:58
Speaker 3: So a couple things. One, did you get a good man or woman with the with the utensils? Because last time we went we had a kid who just graduated from high school, was like, h I.

00:07:05
Speaker 5: Am chet, I'll be helping today.

00:07:07
Speaker 3: He missed the tower. He threw the shrimp in my face instead of in my mouth.

00:07:11
Speaker 5: It was bad.

00:07:12
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, Well we had you know, we had like the adults table and then like ten to twelve kids at one table together crammed in and that they love our guy was great.

00:07:22
Speaker 1: He actually had props.

00:07:22
Speaker 2: He had like a little dinosaur toy dinosaur, so when the volcano came out, he didn't add it. So he added little bells and whizzled. But the kids like freaked out because at one point the guy wrote six seven on in and they were all just like, We're like, oh god, so he knew exactly what to do.

00:07:43
Speaker 3: I have a fun idea for us. Okay, we got to go to Benny Hannah for lunch and then immediately go to that bouncy house place and see what happens in.

00:07:52
Speaker 5: Our right from combo meal number two to bouncy house.

00:07:58
Speaker 6: I went to Disneyland on Saturday and I had a coffee right before going on the roller coaster, and just the coffee before the roller coaster, I.

00:08:05
Speaker 4: Was like, well, I can't have that mustoch like.

00:08:07
Speaker 5: No, no, which which roller coaster?

00:08:10
Speaker 4: The incredit coaster.

00:08:12
Speaker 1: Coaster? Yeah, it doesn't.

00:08:14
Speaker 3: Oh.

00:08:14
Speaker 2: I finally went on it a couple of weeks ago when we were there for the the was it the coast?

00:08:20
Speaker 1: It's good.

00:08:20
Speaker 5: It's a good coaster.

00:08:21
Speaker 1: Oh, it's so fun.

00:08:22
Speaker 4: It's so fun. Yeah, it's really fun. Yeah.

00:08:25
Speaker 6: Well, I can't do Benny Hanna at lunch either. I don't want a heavy lunch.

00:08:29
Speaker 5: Yeah, Benny hunt is pretty heavy.

00:08:31
Speaker 4: It's heavy, so good. I get the shrimp. What do you guys get?

00:08:34
Speaker 5: Oh, the chicken and the steak combo.

00:08:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, you get the steak.

00:08:38
Speaker 4: I don't.

00:08:38
Speaker 6: I get the shrimp. I just really like the fried rice. I could do without the protein, to be honest.

00:08:43
Speaker 1: Wow, I like all the bells and whistles. I like yeah, I like the little like the les.

00:08:48
Speaker 4: Keep you protein.

00:08:50
Speaker 3: I have one of those Blackstone grills, and the second day I ever used it that get I took the two spatulas and I put a fake hat on it.

00:08:55
Speaker 5: I had nothing on the grill, but I was still doing the whole thing.

00:08:58
Speaker 1: Of course, I like this.

00:09:00
Speaker 2: We talked about doing this for ever, doing a skit where you're just the worst being the worst.

00:09:06
Speaker 4: Please let's do it. And then also, will you make us fried rice?

00:09:09
Speaker 1: Of course I got it.

00:09:10
Speaker 5: Yeah, you gotta cook it and let it sit for a day or two.

00:09:11
Speaker 4: But yes, but okay, all right, Welcome to Pod Meets World. I'm Daniel Fishle, I'm right or Strong, and I'm Wilfredell.

00:09:30
Speaker 6: So here we are, Season seven, Episode two, for Love and Apartments. It originally aired October first, nineteen ninety nine.

00:09:38
Speaker 4: The synopsis.

00:09:39
Speaker 6: After Corey and Tapanga and Sean and Angela break up, the boys travel to Pittsburgh to save the Lawrence's marriage, while the girls challenge Eric and Jack to a wrestling match to decide who keeps the apartment. It was directed by David Kendall. It was written by Matthew Nelson. Before we jump into our guest stars, what were your overall thoughts?

00:10:02
Speaker 1: Well, here's what's crazy. I really enjoyed this episode, even though it went in two directions.

00:10:09
Speaker 3: I usually like both of the I'm getting out of here.

00:10:16
Speaker 6: This Pod Meets World has jumped the shark when right are strong?

00:10:24
Speaker 1: Off with like this?

00:10:26
Speaker 4: You know what this was part?

00:10:29
Speaker 1: You know what it is.

00:10:29
Speaker 2: It just went one hundred percent in the in the two directions that I usually can't stand. And I was like, Okay, we're having a B storyline that is literally makes no sense.

00:10:38
Speaker 1: It is just about it like a dream. Fine. I had just I was like when that when Mick Foley breaks down the door, I'm like, no, I can't, I can't judge this. I cannot come in.

00:10:48
Speaker 2: It's a it's a romp okay, and then the A storyline there's not a laugh in it and it's literally character or like, it's just pure melodrama and discussion of weird backstory and experts. I was like fine, and I didn't remember it at all, and I was like, oh, you know what, Ben is so good in this episode. I was like, as much as I don't like what Corey's doing, I don't understand it of it. I don't believe any of it. I was like, you know what, Ben's savage is so good and I felt I was just in and I was like, fine, you know what it's it's a soap opera on one side, like a like a circus on the other, and then a circus of the other. And I was like, I guess this is season seven in a nutshell, Like I guess this is so fine, okay, And I was fine. I was just like, okay, I'm not going to cut pressure on either in one of these situations to be something I wish I could done its own thing.

00:11:37
Speaker 1: You know, it was a.

00:11:38
Speaker 5: Terrible, terrible episode of television.

00:11:40
Speaker 1: Really, you couldn't enjoy even the wrestling just for like, okay.

00:11:43
Speaker 3: No, because I mean, it was one of those things where I just I didn't I didn't understand anything that was going on. I hated Corey, I hated Tapanga. I'm not a big fan of the parents. I didn't understand the BT story at all. Now they want their apartment back, but they gave it up. So it was like, but and now they had to move into the girl's dorm, Like that's gonna be allowed somehow.

00:12:06
Speaker 5: Uh. None of this made any sense to me whatsoever.

00:12:09
Speaker 4: Red dorm?

00:12:10
Speaker 7: Okay, no, yeah, but why are all the girls stuff still in the rooms still to make jokes about, like, you know, it's a bad.

00:12:22
Speaker 3: Episode with a twisted gay panic. This is a terrible, terrible episode of television. I didn't understand. I guess one thing I really this this episode really pointed out to me is that as unlikable as.

00:12:36
Speaker 5: Corey is for a lot of the show, which he really is.

00:12:40
Speaker 3: The thing that makes him tolerable sometimes is Topanga. So when she's unlikable too, I'm like, I hope these people never speak again. They should not be in a relationship. I hate them both. It's like, I did not like this episode at all. Nobody was their character. I just didn't get it. Matt Lawrence was this else?

00:13:00
Speaker 4: Yeah?

00:13:02
Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, what I'll say about Tapanga is that I think it's very telling, and I know why.

00:13:08
Speaker 4: They did it this way. I think it's very.

00:13:11
Speaker 6: Telling though that I really love Tapega. In every scene she's not in with Corey. When she's with the girls, she's not somber and sad. She's painting her toenails and she's angry, and she's well, she's saying, do you have any idea how angry I am? But she's saying it with a smile on her face, and she's kind of having fun with the wrestling stuff.

00:13:33
Speaker 4: But then every time she's around Corey, she's like, yeah.

00:13:39
Speaker 3: The second you open the door and there's Topanga, she's like wah, wah, huh.

00:13:43
Speaker 4: And then she's like, I'm not somber, Yes, you are.

00:13:48
Speaker 6: Yes, you are, which, by the way, you're allowed to be having a hard time. But it's just interesting that she isn't having a hard time all the time. She's having a hard time Cory around Corey, which again ties into the storyline of she's afraid that love is what's not real, and so friendships is fine because those haven't proven her wrong, I guess.

00:14:10
Speaker 4: But yeah, but it's also.

00:14:12
Speaker 3: Just the whole thing of if I'm an adult in a marriage that's going through rough times or breaking up or whatever, and my daughter's nineteen year old boyfriend and best friend come and insert themselves into my relationship, I'd be so unbelievably pissed.

00:14:29
Speaker 1: It's like, how dare you who I know? Are you I know? To come into my house right now?

00:14:36
Speaker 3: You? And that's how I was sitting there watching this episode. Is like, I hated Corey in this episode.

00:14:42
Speaker 5: Ben great. He can act.

00:14:43
Speaker 3: We've always said that Ben can act, and with what he's given, that's awesome.

00:14:47
Speaker 5: It's one another yet another version of.

00:14:50
Speaker 3: An unlikable Corey to me, and I just I really disliked this episode.

00:14:54
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:14:54
Speaker 5: The wrestling is the wrestling. It goes. It goes from Dawson's Creek to save by the Bell.

00:14:59
Speaker 3: And they bl two pieces together exactly, and to me, that was it wasn't fun.

00:15:04
Speaker 5: It was just really jarring.

00:15:05
Speaker 1: It was so strange.

00:15:06
Speaker 2: Dawston's Creek right, like it's a continuation of the Romeo and Juliet episode, you know, where it's like, yeah, Corey is now that if you look at it as like the whole show is from Corey's point of view and trying to understand the world and the universe and trying to he's you know, but unlike that one he does chase, you know, he does learn a lesson.

00:15:23
Speaker 1: At the end and says, I guess so it's not gonna happen.

00:15:25
Speaker 5: And of course, and I'm over.

00:15:27
Speaker 3: I know it's only two episodes in, but I'm over everybody having a scene and then Sean and Angela being tacked on at the end, going Angela coming in, going like I also agree we shouldn't be together, and then walking out and she really so much more, so much more, and at this point Sean should be like, look, I'm let's just be friends. Like I totally get that, and that would be keeping with Shawn's character too. Now Sean is the love sick Puppy all the time. I just I didn't get this episode at all.

00:15:53
Speaker 8: Well.

00:15:53
Speaker 4: Guest starring Marcia Cross.

00:15:55
Speaker 6: She is making her Boy Meets World debut as Rhiann and Lawrence, yet another actor to play my.

00:16:00
Speaker 1: Mother dine and know why.

00:16:02
Speaker 3: I'm dining to know why they've recast this couple three times.

00:16:06
Speaker 4: I'm assuming in Net and Michael were working and could.

00:16:09
Speaker 3: Why Peter Tork And it was a Net Now it was the first mom, right, so there's only two moms, right.

00:16:16
Speaker 5: Okay, two moms and three die. I wonder why Peter Tork.

00:16:19
Speaker 3: Maybe he just when they took the character a completely different banker way than Peter Tork didn't work anymore.

00:16:24
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:16:24
Speaker 9: Yeah.

00:16:25
Speaker 6: Cross is best known as bree Van DeCamp on the hit ABC series Desperate Housewives, for which she was both Golden Globe and Emmy nominated, and prior to that, she was doctor Kimberly Shaw from nineteen ninety two to nineteen ninety seven on melrose Place. Yeah, I remember. Melrose Place was another one of those shows that I desperately wanted to watch as a child, and by child I mean a full blown teenager, and my mom was like absolutely not, and so I couldn't watch melrose Place along with nine O two one. Oh, but I was aware of it in the zeitgeist, and so I was actually very excited to meet Marsha Cross and for playing my mom.

00:17:02
Speaker 3: Every Wednesday, Spencer and I would go to Taco Bell, we get a ridiculous amount of food and we would watch melrose Place every Wednesday ritual. Oh it's it's such a soap opera. But you are screaming at the television.

00:17:15
Speaker 4: Very campy, but you're but you're invested.

00:17:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, now, and Marsha Cross is a damn good I mean both, Yeah, both these actors are just yeah, incredible.

00:17:24
Speaker 1: But you didn't have a scene with them, right.

00:17:25
Speaker 6: No, I don't have a scene with them here, but I was, I was excited. There's other there's another episode where it is. Yeah, I think I'm pretty sure. Yeah, because I remember, I remember that I do get to work with her. Mark Heralic is the newest Jedediah Lawrence third and final. Mark is a movie and TV veteran who began his career with guest spots on shows like Cheers, Wings and Siginfolds.

00:17:47
Speaker 5: Yep.

00:17:48
Speaker 6: He played Milos Milos Melosh Milosh, he played Melos and Season eight's The Comeback. He has had a nice career resurgence over the past decade, with hefty rolls on shows like Preacher, The Morning Show, Presumed Innocent, The Leftovers, and Big Bang Theory.

00:18:09
Speaker 4: He also appeared in.

00:18:10
Speaker 6: Movies like forty two, Jurassic Park three, and Election, where he gave one of the absolutely grossest line reads of all times.

00:18:19
Speaker 2: First line in the movie Too, Is it really how they introduce his character?

00:18:24
Speaker 4: I don't know the line because I haven't seen the movie.

00:18:26
Speaker 1: So film it was a.

00:18:31
Speaker 4: Oh God, I don't know.

00:18:32
Speaker 6: That's what everybody says about Election. I know, I feel like I have to see it.

00:18:36
Speaker 5: I haven't seen either.

00:18:37
Speaker 4: And finally we say hello to.

00:18:40
Speaker 6: Mick Foley as mankind Fully is a professional wrestling legend, first making his name on the hardcore deathmatch circuit and eventually landing, most likely from the top of a steel cage, into the WWE, where he became a household name during the Attitude era. He is a Hall of Famer who read sold under numerous personas Nick Foley, Dudelove, Cactus Jack, and the character he plays on Boy Meets World, and his most popular Mankind.

00:19:10
Speaker 4: The lure behind Mankind is that he is a.

00:19:13
Speaker 6: Tortured soul shaped by abuse, isolation, and institutionalization. He wears a leather mask to hide shame and emotional scars.

00:19:22
Speaker 4: And he is said to have been raised in.

00:19:24
Speaker 6: Boiler rooms and endures pain as a coping mechanism. Holy, yeah, there you go. It's a little dark. He also has a finishing move where he pulls a dirty sweatsck. He calls mister Soco out of his sweatpants and then shoves it down his opponent's throat until he passes out.

00:19:44
Speaker 3: I still have mine, mister Soco for me, and then signed it. Yep, I still have it somewhere yet. I just saw it that ago.

00:19:51
Speaker 6: He is best known for the nineteen ninety eight Hell in a Cell match against the Undertaker, where he fell through the top of a steel cage plummet fifteen feet through the roof onto the canvas, followed by a chair that knocked his tooth in two his nose so, oh my god, you know, pretty chill stuff. Hilariously, Mick is one of the kindest humans in the world, and we can announce it now. He will be our guest this coming Monday. Do you guys know about Mick Foley's obsession with Santa. Yes, Mick has I believe at this point hundreds, but I could be wrong. I'll say dozens because I believe that to be a fact. But we'll ask him of Santa shirts, like true Christmas Santa shirts for a select few. I think it's also more than a select few. He writes beautiful handwritten Santa letters in the most gorgeous calligraphy. It's the color graffy you know Santa to have. And yeah, he is very obsessed with Christmas.

00:21:06
Speaker 4: He's cool. It's very cool.

00:21:08
Speaker 6: So on the polar opposite of mankind, we have Mick Foley, Mister Christmas.

00:21:26
Speaker 4: So let's jump into our recap.

00:21:28
Speaker 6: We are in Corey and Shawn's dorm, picking up right where the season premiere left off. Corey is determined to get to Pang his parents back together, but Shawn isn't sold. He wholeheartedly believes there's nothing the two of them can't do, and he doesn't want to go to Pittsburgh. It's cold and flu season and they're still all over the place. Corey doesn't see the problem, so Sean reminds him they're adults now. They can't just say, hey, Debbie likes you. Then to Pang and Angela up here at the doorway they've come to grab their stuff for the apartment. Then just go to the apartment. Why do you have to stop?

00:22:02
Speaker 1: Because gotta I gotta give Sean a reason to go.

00:22:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm telling you once again that we shouldn't be to get.

00:22:15
Speaker 6: Cory asks his ex fiance why she's so somber, and she explains she's not somber. The only relationship she believed in more than theirs is dead. He demands that she turned that frown upside down.

00:22:34
Speaker 1: I mean, his reading on this was so funny, and I was like, it's.

00:22:39
Speaker 4: A lot of cake face, which I love.

00:22:41
Speaker 1: But that's what I thought.

00:22:42
Speaker 5: Having not remembered this episode at all, I thought, Oh, is this.

00:22:45
Speaker 3: Going to be him trying to like cheer her up for the whole episode in a.

00:22:48
Speaker 2: Funny ways like he's a he's like a manically obsessed like it's gonna work out?

00:22:53
Speaker 1: Is it that way to excited for that?

00:22:56
Speaker 5: And that didn't happen?

00:22:58
Speaker 4: Also, is that not a way to go?

00:23:01
Speaker 6: Even from the standpoint of Wow, this is someone I want to spend the rest of my life.

00:23:06
Speaker 2: With Well, think about from the standpoint of if the story impetus is Corey has this whack a doodle idea to go get the parents back together, right, like I might believe that that sounds like a sitcom plot, then you could go make that a farce. We could have like a whole like swinging Doors episode with us trying to like have them meet cute and get back together, and it could have been hysterical and gone just exactly the same way, and that.

00:23:30
Speaker 4: It doesn't work out the new girlfriends.

00:23:34
Speaker 2: It's just a it's a complete disaster, but it's fun and it's funny. Instead, we get characters walking from one side of the room to the other, yes, and then talking about Sean and his character and the way we've always perceived Sean and the way Sean was always felt that he was perceived by the parents that we've never met before, who now it suddenly matters that Sean gives them a speech.

00:23:56
Speaker 4: What?

00:23:58
Speaker 1: Because none of this is fun to it's all just exposition of care.

00:24:03
Speaker 3: And if you didn't want to do that, imagine an episode where Corey recruits everybody to get to Panga happy again, like how each person would go about it. How would Eric try to make to Panga cheer her up, How would make Rachel try to make like each person takes a swipe at making her laugh again?

00:24:19
Speaker 5: Could have been hysterical to what if.

00:24:21
Speaker 2: Corey just tried to have a vow renewal celebration, like he gets a haul, invites everybody for the parents and like tries to like.

00:24:28
Speaker 1: Just to prove that could be funny. Yeah, ridiculous, And this was not.

00:24:32
Speaker 3: This was really this was the most two shows in one we've had so far where it's just drama and wacky comedy and just glue them together.

00:24:43
Speaker 5: So yeah, it was jarring.

00:24:44
Speaker 6: So he gives her a cheesy smile to emulate it's not working, so Sean intervenes, but Cory gets defensive. He knows the four of them should be together, which is poorly written, but also maybe a Freudian slimp.

00:24:56
Speaker 4: The four of us should be in.

00:24:58
Speaker 3: A fripple ye affordable a quadpole.

00:25:04
Speaker 6: Corey takes turn, pointing to his friends and insisting I'm gonna fix you. I'm gonna fix you, and I'm gonna fix you and then I'm gonna take a bath.

00:25:14
Speaker 9: Again.

00:25:14
Speaker 6: Funny reading funny to Penga says goodbye and Corey replies with goodbye Mopey to Pega calls him an insensitive jerk, and he giddily smiles watching her leave. She's gonna be missus insensitive jerk. If they changed the music right now and just started making it creepy music, this could be a horror film.

00:25:32
Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, Cory is.

00:25:37
Speaker 5: Just yeah, I missus MOPy.

00:25:39
Speaker 4: I'm missus woopy. He's gonna be sensitive j.

00:25:45
Speaker 6: Then Angela and Sean finally acknowledge each other. Sean, she says she's not ready to be in a relationship right now, and Shawn shrugs, that's absolutely fine, but this is you and if you walk out that door, I'm gonna forget you ever existed, which always works.

00:26:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, that is.

00:26:03
Speaker 3: They're also just you're standing in a line. It's like, all right, your scene's done, peel off. Now bring it on, all right, Jean, come on up, all right now here. You guys have your two lines, all right, peel off. It's just so it's not good with that.

00:26:15
Speaker 4: She leaves.

00:26:16
Speaker 6: Sean quickly turns to Corey. I'll do anything to get her back, and then they head to Pittsburgh. We are at Eric and Jack's new place. We see a massive Backstreet Boys poster hovering over a small girly bed that Eric and Jack are squatting on. Eric clearly lies, announcing the.

00:26:32
Speaker 4: Space is perfect for us. I like it.

00:26:35
Speaker 6: Jack nods and agrees, and, just as unconvincing of a tone, I'm glad we gave up our apartment and Eric proudly calls it their bachelor pad and uh, Jack dubs it their masculine kingdom. Then Eric notices the presence of a boy band and admits, that is one big freaking picture of the Backstreet Boys.

00:26:53
Speaker 5: That was my Actually, that was my personal poster.

00:26:55
Speaker 1: That was it.

00:26:55
Speaker 4: I was gonna ask.

00:26:56
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's usually over my bed in my apartment at the time.

00:26:58
Speaker 6: This is one of those things, writer, they stole from Rider's life. Yeah, yep, yeah, sure, we got it. Yeah, that's how we do it.

00:27:08
Speaker 4: This is how we do it.

00:27:09
Speaker 3: This is a Backstreet Boys, so got it.

00:27:14
Speaker 5: I met Howie from the Backstreet Boys. It's like that was the joke, because there's a Howe isn't here.

00:27:19
Speaker 4: I'm kidding.

00:27:23
Speaker 5: Writers, like, I have no idea what he's like.

00:27:24
Speaker 4: I don't know what's going on?

00:27:25
Speaker 6: Monteal Jordan Petry boys, what's happening? Who are we talking about?

00:27:29
Speaker 1: Nineties stuff? No chalgia, nostalgia, nineties existence?

00:27:36
Speaker 4: We loved it. Jack defends the group the BSB Rocks.

00:27:41
Speaker 6: Eric gives him a concerned look, and Jack admits he's just trying to make the best out of their bad situation. Eric just wants his apartment back. This place is for girls. Jack finds some nail polish and he shows it to Eric and disgust, but Eric sticks out his fingers in excitement. Ooh ooh, do me first hands, then befeat. I loved that reading it was fun. Jack tells him to calm down, and Eric snaps out of it. He just can't spend another minute in this place. Jack asks why, even though we've already addressed why it's been it's very clear, and Eric whispers toward the poster because the Q one's looking at me. Jack's face scrunches. You think Howie's the cute one. I thought Nick was the cute one. Eric's Oh, let's get the hell out of here, and the pals quickly slip out of the door.

00:28:24
Speaker 1: We also did they.

00:28:25
Speaker 4: Say we're in the girls apartment. Is that what they said? Is it ever even really set up where they are? Do we just assume I think.

00:28:30
Speaker 3: We're supposed to just know we've been there before, right, But there was no Backstreet Boy is not the one where Eric jumps into bed with Yeah to Panga, there wasn't a giant No.

00:28:40
Speaker 4: And that's Tapenga's bed by the way.

00:28:42
Speaker 1: So it is so the idea is that they right into Topanga and Angela.

00:28:46
Speaker 6: You know what's really funny about that is that Lance and I broke up this summer.

00:28:49
Speaker 1: That's what I was asking. I was going to ask you, like, what are the chances that it was supposed to be?

00:28:54
Speaker 4: They were like, it's going to be a Backstreet Boys. Yes, that is so funny.

00:29:00
Speaker 6: Back yeah, Lance and I were still together, I would have been like, oh, it has to be in sin Post. Oh that's hilarious. Yeah, I'm gonna tell Lance I was throwing him shade.

00:29:10
Speaker 4: He doesn't know.

00:29:11
Speaker 1: You didn't even know.

00:29:12
Speaker 4: No, I didn't know.

00:29:13
Speaker 6: I mean I may have known at the time and just forgotten it until now, but who knows. Then we're in the student union. Eric and Jack are having coffee with Phoenie, talking about their predicament. Eric reveals to the professor that they're dealing with big, vicious bullies. Phoene explains they have to stand up to them. Jack asks, even if they're girl. Eric interrupts, Rilla's even if they're Gorilla's banana eating gorillas. Poenie insists that the bullies will back down whether they're banana eating gorillas or.

00:29:40
Speaker 4: Three cute little co eds who've made a.

00:29:42
Speaker 6: Mockery of their name. Jack can't believe it, his name's mockery. Eric asks Phoeni how he knew, and Phoene says, dude, you're the laughing stock of the college.

00:29:52
Speaker 3: Phoene saying dude might be one of my favorite things ever. Though, Dude, dude, here's the laughing stock of the college.

00:29:58
Speaker 6: Then it's revealed that the free student in the union is staring at them and laughing. This is would never happen.

00:30:06
Speaker 1: Also, why because they let That's what I'm saying.

00:30:10
Speaker 5: Three three girls live in there, because.

00:30:11
Speaker 4: They left their apartment.

00:30:13
Speaker 3: So that they Topanga and Angela can move in, and that makes them now a laughing stock.

00:30:19
Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what to do.

00:30:20
Speaker 3: Yeah, but they didn't will move out. They voluntarily moved out of the apartment.

00:30:26
Speaker 4: Yeah, but we bullied you because we made you feel bad.

00:30:31
Speaker 5: Okay, got it, it's just and.

00:30:35
Speaker 4: With your booty and then made you chase your own tail with your like a dog.

00:30:39
Speaker 5: Okay, I got a great.

00:30:41
Speaker 4: I mean, what can you do? There's nothing you can do about that.

00:30:44
Speaker 6: I have you have been with an incredible What you I mean?

00:30:48
Speaker 3: I literally I have not at all. Like I'm amazed. My pants stay up.

00:30:53
Speaker 1: Your back just ends, it does it.

00:30:57
Speaker 6: Does?

00:30:57
Speaker 5: I got nothing. It's great an ironing board.

00:31:02
Speaker 4: You gotta start doing your wa washboard.

00:31:04
Speaker 5: But I had a watchboard butt exactly.

00:31:10
Speaker 4: Eric loves it. Jack. Everyone's laughing at you. He can't even control his laughter.

00:31:15
Speaker 6: Eric is hysterical now, pointing out Jack's hair and his shirt, grabbing on the peene and eventually.

00:31:21
Speaker 4: Falling out of his chair, which was not scripted?

00:31:23
Speaker 8: Was it?

00:31:23
Speaker 7: No?

00:31:23
Speaker 5: All that?

00:31:25
Speaker 1: And then he laughs the script exactly.

00:31:28
Speaker 6: By the way you saying in the shirt is just It reminds me of how you used to tease Matt every Thursday night before we would go out and be like, all right, everybody ready.

00:31:38
Speaker 4: You're wearing that.

00:31:38
Speaker 1: No, No, it's good, it's good.

00:31:40
Speaker 4: You look good. You look good. I just didn't know if you were wearing that. Okay, No, it's.

00:31:43
Speaker 5: Good, it's good. Or one of us would just walk up and be like, why didn't you get the tight one?

00:31:50
Speaker 1: Because he just always.

00:31:51
Speaker 4: Had like painted on.

00:31:53
Speaker 3: I guess if I had his body for a day, I would be wearing maybe underwear, but other than that, i'd just be the grocery store everything, like, hey, how's everybody doing?

00:32:02
Speaker 4: Like I'd shown, we'd all just have to adjust to that. You'd be just be naked.

00:32:05
Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely correct.

00:32:06
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:32:07
Speaker 6: Well, we're now in Pittsburgh, and we know this because it says so over a cityscape. We're then in a hallway that sure looks like a flipped around version of Eric and Jack's apartment building. Corey marches up to Tapanga's parents door with determination, but Sean stops him before we actually start interfering with these people's lives. Don't you think we should find out why they split up? This is the conversation that would have happened in the car.

00:32:29
Speaker 5: Yeah, either the three hour bus ride or however long was going to be.

00:32:33
Speaker 6: Corey explains it's insignificant and unimportant. He says he's known mystery missus Lawrence, their entire lives and they do not want to split up.

00:32:40
Speaker 1: He was also set up set up there.

00:32:43
Speaker 2: What if you open the door and he's with a woman or he's throwing a party, anything would have been funnier than what.

00:32:49
Speaker 1: Actually is behind the door, which is sad. Sad one.

00:32:54
Speaker 6: The bed is right behind the door, and I was like, what is this? I was actually thinking he was like, I was thinking he was going to be renting a living room, like like he was, yes.

00:33:06
Speaker 1: Somebody or did you see the walls? No, no, that's a pausitive.

00:33:13
Speaker 5: Look again, there's literally blood splattered on the walls.

00:33:17
Speaker 3: No, go back and watch standing in front of it's the two shots where he Corey's here and he's here and there's a white wall behind him and there's just red splatter all over it.

00:33:27
Speaker 5: So he's like, say, literally blood coated the walls.

00:33:31
Speaker 1: So the idea is just that his life sucks.

00:33:34
Speaker 2: Yes, everything about being not being in a partnership is the worst thing you could do.

00:33:38
Speaker 4: But he is guys to make it worse.

00:33:43
Speaker 6: And this is the only time I'm in a harp on it because it was absolutely mind boggling to me. He says, take out and wrinkled shirts. It's not about the partnership or the friendship.

00:33:56
Speaker 8: It's that a woman cooks for you.

00:33:59
Speaker 1: It does everything your shirts.

00:34:02
Speaker 8: Is this what you want to be? Wrinkly and unfed? You could be fed and have no wrinkles. This is the life you choose, which.

00:34:13
Speaker 2: Again could be played for comedy. We were playing that for comedy like the poor Guys.

00:34:17
Speaker 3: Just Likeell was just playing it like the Godfather reminded me of the day of our bakesale, Like what.

00:34:23
Speaker 1: If it was just like my life is over and it's like.

00:34:27
Speaker 2: You got to hold your own shirts. It's not that big of a deal. Same with Jack and Eric. It's a poster.

00:34:33
Speaker 1: You can take it down, take it down.

00:34:36
Speaker 3: This also doesn't make any sense though, because he left her for somebody that he's now in love with.

00:34:42
Speaker 5: What so why is he miserable alone?

00:34:45
Speaker 6: He's because not because she You don't. You don't why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free. She's not gonna iron his shirts.

00:34:57
Speaker 1: Ring on her finger, then she could be a mom.

00:35:00
Speaker 4: She'll be the moll wife.

00:35:02
Speaker 1: So the poor man do this.

00:35:04
Speaker 3: Poor man's life is just getting laid with a new woman eating takeout and sleeping as.

00:35:08
Speaker 5: Late as he wants awful and he's got wrinkled.

00:35:13
Speaker 3: I mean, it's like none of this made any sense to me really, And he's a first of all, we've pointed this out before. He's a wonderful actor. Both both the parents are really really good with what they were given. But what they were given is weird.

00:35:29
Speaker 6: Yet Okay, I'm now going to just go through the rest of the episode without being I doubt it.

00:35:37
Speaker 1: Without being wol.

00:35:40
Speaker 3: Well, as long as you stop halfway through to Iron Gens in Surreans will be fun.

00:35:47
Speaker 6: So Corey says he once caught him grabbing her tushi and going auga sign of love. Yes, major major sign of love is aga. With that, Corey aggressively knocks on the door and Sean still doesn't want to go in there.

00:36:00
Speaker 4: Corey doesn't get it. Do you want to be back with Tapangola or not?

00:36:04
Speaker 6: Sean is confused to Pandula, Corey admits he's just trying to save time now.

00:36:09
Speaker 1: And this was like before benefer.

00:36:14
Speaker 2: That world, like making Yeah, the name the name combo thing was not really a thing until.

00:36:19
Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, we have a photo of the blood wall. Really yeah, wrong, can we share it?

00:36:26
Speaker 5: Look over there, it's just splattered blood.

00:36:32
Speaker 3: When there's a closer shot where there's a closer shot with with him in the foreground and it just looks like blood splatter, it's would that be?

00:36:41
Speaker 6: I mean, who did he murder exactly? Maybe that's why we don't see the girlfriend. Maybe he has murdered her.

00:36:47
Speaker 1: She's chopped up in that.

00:36:49
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's actually her wrinkled skin he's wearing.

00:36:52
Speaker 6: Oh my god, Yeah, that's good. He's you know what he's he's in with it. He's in on it with Meenie. He's bringing over is. Oh my god, that's why he's sad. Sean reminds him that Tapega's dad has always hated him. He wants throw a rock at his head, and then the door opens. It's Tapega's dad, but definitely it's a different man. Yeah, but it's then the last two Tapega's dads we've seen. He is shocked to see the boys. Corey simply states, I'm here to save here.

00:37:20
Speaker 1: Unfortunately, really does reduce attention.

00:37:22
Speaker 2: Of course, like if it was if it was Michael McKeon, the guy we had seen him facing all, you know that we had it would have some build up in some sense.

00:37:29
Speaker 6: Of like we also didn't get at the start of the season see last scene on where it could have heightened, where we could have seen the them having a fight and the tension super high. And then the reason they didn't do that, guys, is this right? And so the whole thing just feels.

00:37:46
Speaker 5: Like me, yeah, yeah, you figure.

00:37:49
Speaker 3: I don't know anything about the casting process whatsoever, but I imagine they had to have known that the parents were going to come back in season seven, right, So I mean, wouldn't it be something along the lines of we want to sign you for multiple episodes or I mean, wouldn't you do that right off the bat?

00:38:05
Speaker 6: I mean, yes, it's entirely possible though that their agents were like, we will not allow you to do that because it's going to be split up over a summer. Who knows what you're doing, you know nineteen ninety nine has in store for you, And so they say no, And then Michael and our writers have to make the decision do we want them for even one episode or do we want to just go right from the beginning and with the a nett o'tool of it all?

00:38:32
Speaker 5: I guess so you just take what you can get.

00:38:34
Speaker 6: Because they wanted Juliette. They want that was that.

00:38:39
Speaker 5: Well, nough. Juliette was the other lady. Juliette was your own, right, Yeah that's Olivia Hussey.

00:38:44
Speaker 6: You're right, Olivia husseib they want so that didn't Yeah, so I guess they just really wanted the two.

00:38:48
Speaker 4: They just really wanted Michael m Yeah.

00:38:51
Speaker 5: But it's yeah, it is jarring.

00:38:52
Speaker 3: It is jarring to constantly keep replacing an actor I know.

00:39:09
Speaker 5: Well.

00:39:09
Speaker 6: Before inviting the boys inside, mister Lawrence gives Sean a look of disapproval.

00:39:13
Speaker 4: Hunter. Mister Lawrence's apartment is a mess.

00:39:16
Speaker 6: His bed is right next to the kitchen, and there are clothes everywhere. He calls it a transitional place. Corey, not so subtly, calls it a pity, and Sean agrees loudly it's a human tragedy. Even He whispers to Corey, asking if he took it too far, and Corey shakes his head no. Mister Lawrence ses right through it and asks Corey why he's really there. Corey demands, I want you to leave this place and go back to your lovely home. Mister Lawrence appreciates what he's trying to do, but promises that he and his wife are better off without each other. You'll be shocked to hear, but Corey will not stand for it. He insists, I know how much you love each other. He leans in, I saw you go a luga. Mister Lawrence's eyes widened. You didn't see Hong Kong, did you? He quickly tells him he did not. Mister Lawrence assures the boys he'll be fine, and he thanks them for coming. Corey wonders, so dirty dishes and wrinkled shirts is fine? Corey goes on, you got ESPN in a six pack?

00:40:16
Speaker 1: Here?

00:40:17
Speaker 5: You got nothing?

00:40:19
Speaker 6: Mister Lawrence is rightfully in disbelief. What gives you the right to talk to me like that?

00:40:24
Speaker 1: Thank you?

00:40:25
Speaker 4: Corey answers.

00:40:26
Speaker 1: Love.

00:40:27
Speaker 5: Love gives me the right.

00:40:29
Speaker 6: That I believe in its power and its purpose, and that you somehow have forgotten. So I guess that gives me the right to remind you. He admits Corey has a lot of confidence, but Corey says it's not just for him. He and Sean also really miss to Pandela. Sean decides to shoot his shot and he asks mister Lawrence why he never liked him, and so he reminds Sean it's because of the time I went down to the basement and caught you making out with Chipanga first understands, but then it sings in. He screams, what did you do? But Sean is unfazed. Topeka's dad was just kidding.

00:41:08
Speaker 4: It was always.

00:41:09
Speaker 6: Corey in that basement. It's a cool joke. It's a fun joke, right.

00:41:14
Speaker 1: I don't get it.

00:41:15
Speaker 2: I mean, like, why would you ever say that time I cut you when you never did.

00:41:22
Speaker 3: Why would you also take this as your opportunity when everything's going on to find out why this guy didn't like Sean.

00:41:28
Speaker 1: I just got to be there, I guess.

00:41:29
Speaker 5: Yeah.

00:41:30
Speaker 2: They end up giving me like a couple of great moments with him, and it's.

00:41:34
Speaker 4: Like, why, I actually think this is.

00:41:37
Speaker 6: Matt Nelson or the other writers really trying to explain to help make Corey likable, the idea that they want to point out my and that Corey's a quote unquote the good guy. He was never he was never the one trying to make the moves on Tapanga in the basement. So Topanga's dad was always worried about the wrong guy, the guy he should have been quote unquote worried about is the good guy, the guy who was down there in the basement, And I think it's supposed to make him like appealing, like that's that was a nice guy.

00:42:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, and also make the whole like I'm gonna get the girl based on something more. It's love, It's love innocence and like real connection.

00:42:26
Speaker 6: Yes, yes, Corey nudges Sean, boasting he spent many happy years in that basement but didn't get nothing. Sean isn't satisfied. He wants to know why mister Lawrence never liked him, So Topanga's dad finally admits that he figured it would be Sean in the basement, so he was scared of him. He starts to laugh, realizing he should have been scared of Corey instead. Sean laughs with him, what an absurd thought, being scared of Corey. Corey glares at them and disgusted. Mister Laurence admits he was wrong about Sean. He's a good kid, and so maybe he's wrong about a lot of things. Corey reiterates he wants him to see his wife again, but he insists he can't. Corey continues to needle him until finally mister Lawrence shouts, she kicked me out, and then we quick cut to Rhianna and Lawrence's house again, not the same mom we saw last season, and she breaks the news to Corey and Sean, her and Jedediah are done.

00:43:20
Speaker 5: And you could tell she's a hit because of the one long thing.

00:43:22
Speaker 2: She's going well all the production design and she's watering a lot of flowers.

00:43:28
Speaker 6: Lots of flowers, lots of plants, and her hair is curly like Tana's early hair.

00:43:33
Speaker 5: Correct she's a dryad.

00:43:35
Speaker 6: So yeah, and yet Corey is still unable to accept it. She explains he's young and doesn't so I.

00:43:41
Speaker 2: Kept thinking maybe in the recapit this should make more sense to me that he So he doesn't.

00:43:47
Speaker 1: Does he lies to her? At the end of this scene, does he lie to the dad?

00:43:52
Speaker 4: We don't see it, but he did. We don't see it, but he says.

00:43:55
Speaker 2: He says, she wants to see you, Drew, Yeah, but not seeing it. It would set up this scene if he's like, she really wants to see you and he says really, and he goes, yeah, I've already talked to her.

00:44:08
Speaker 1: Optical flip. She's like, I don't want to see him. Then it's a scene.

00:44:11
Speaker 2: Then it's like, oh, now Corey screwed it himself and now he's got to get her and he can't.

00:44:15
Speaker 1: But instead, because you never see him, we're like, what is.

00:44:18
Speaker 5: The what is he?

00:44:19
Speaker 1: What is the plan here? And it didn't make any sense until they.

00:44:22
Speaker 3: But it still doesn't make any sense because she says he kicked she kicked me out.

00:44:27
Speaker 1: But next thing would be why in love with another woman?

00:44:31
Speaker 3: So why he wanted to stay there but he would leave?

00:44:35
Speaker 1: None of this makes and what does he hope exactly? What is he hoping to accomplished by being there?

00:44:41
Speaker 3: He's not saying I done, I screwed up it forgiveness.

00:44:44
Speaker 4: He actually says it, I just hope that you can forgive me.

00:44:47
Speaker 6: And she's like, oh, that's what you're looking for because it's convenient for you, And she's like, me, kick him out.

00:44:53
Speaker 3: He left because he fell in love with another woman. Why so he wants to be in love with another woman but still living with his wife.

00:44:58
Speaker 4: Well that's what happened.

00:44:59
Speaker 6: She caught him cheating and then she had to throw him out because he had been having an affair.

00:45:03
Speaker 3: God, none of this makes any sense, But he's in love with the other woman. No, I mean it's it's not like he had a one night stand at a bar and is like begging for forgiveness and wants to get back.

00:45:11
Speaker 4: Without why a relationship.

00:45:12
Speaker 3: He's in a relationship with somebody else that he's fallen in love with, so now he's just coming back.

00:45:16
Speaker 1: She's in love with the other woman?

00:45:18
Speaker 3: She does. She says she's the woman that he's in love with now, and so it's like, none of that makes any none of it makes any sense to me. The writing is very weird in this episode.

00:45:28
Speaker 6: So she says he's young and doesn't understand what happens when people fall out of love. Corey insists they're just angry at each other, like his parents get, but the difference is they remember how much they love each other and then everything's okay again. Rhannon reminds him that they are different people in a different situation. Corey asks her, do you realize that your daughter doesn't believe in love anymore? Because she thinks you don't. She brings him closer. Corey, if you into Panga really love each other, you'll be fine. Corey insists, I want you to be fine. Okay, will you see your husband please? Rannon stands firm and jects the offer. Corey pushes and asks her the same question two more times, completely ignoring her.

00:46:05
Speaker 3: No.

00:46:06
Speaker 6: Sean lets her know if you think he's backing down, he's not backing down. Corey explains, he'll come over here and everything will be good again. Don't you want everything to be good again? Of course she does, but it's not as easy as that. Corey tells her it is because he knows how much they love each other. She asks why Corey's doing this, and he shrugs. I guess I'm paying you back for the two thousand peanut butter and jelly sandwiches you made me. Rannon smiles. He really wants to see me. You're not just saying that because you think it's right. Corey glances at Sean, who now looks uneasy. Corey tells her, I would never do that.

00:46:38
Speaker 3: Okay, what I have to ask again to just trying to figure out the logistics. What is he hoping is going to happen? She doesn't want to see him because he cheated, and he doesn't.

00:46:49
Speaker 6: Somebody else though, Yeah, let's remove the cheating and let's remove the in love because he does not know.

00:46:53
Speaker 1: Okay.

00:46:53
Speaker 3: No, I'm saying, just for forget Corey, remove the Corey from the situation, just the parents. Why I would both of them want to see each other again?

00:47:02
Speaker 4: Okay, I'll tell you.

00:47:03
Speaker 6: He wants things to not He basically wants to feel forgiven. She doesn't hate him, okay, and she I think now that she's hearing he wants to see her, and he's saying, please, I promise everything's going to be fine. I think she's maybe thinking he's not with Marie anymore. He's not with the woman he's coming back to say I'm so sorry? Will you take me back? And even though it doesn't seem like she really is open to that, I think just even hearing that would be a nice feeling when you've been cheated on.

00:47:38
Speaker 3: So I think she doesn't say that to him. When he comes back, though, she doesn't say are you still with her?

00:47:42
Speaker 6: No, because he says I'm asking for forgiveness, and she goes, oh, that's why you want to see me.

00:47:47
Speaker 5: Okay. It's very muddled.

00:47:48
Speaker 2: Well, the prob you just why don't you finish the previous scene? Because if you and the reason you can't finish the previous scene. Is that then you can't have this scene because the reality is either Corey has to lie and say, oh no, she wants you back, let's go, and then he has to agree, okay, I want to go back to try, which couldn't happen because he would say, oh no, I'm seeing this other woman. I don't actually want her back, Corey. I just wanted to forget. But we can't spell that out, so we have to cut that scene off and pretend it never happened, even though that's supposedly what happened.

00:48:17
Speaker 6: I mean, you could have finished the other scene by saying she wants to see you, and for him to say, the last time I saw her, she told me she was and never wanted to see my ugly face again, and and then well, she says she wants to see you, and he could think, like, hmm, maybe she's willing to forgive me now, but like again, you'd have to spell that out right.

00:48:38
Speaker 2: But then we also, I'm not going to get back together with her, Corey, because I've got this other woman.

00:48:44
Speaker 1: So I'll go talk to her if she wants to talk. But but but we can't say any of.

00:48:48
Speaker 3: That, because there's no and even if he's with the other woman, he's still living the horrible, sad, awful bachelor life.

00:48:56
Speaker 1: Like they had to set it up so different.

00:48:59
Speaker 3: They had to make behime a caricature of the sad man missing his wife. So then it's a surprise when you find out he's actually dating someone else, which then makes the first scene pointless.

00:49:11
Speaker 1: Yes, yes, correct, okay.

00:49:14
Speaker 5: But we have a wrestler.

00:49:17
Speaker 4: Then we're in the girl's apartment.

00:49:19
Speaker 6: Eric and Jack's arms are crossed and they look upset. Eric demands, we want our apartment back, and we want it now. Jack ads, you're bullies, and I've never backed down from a bully. The camera flips to the girls, who are on the couch, barely paying attention, giving themselves pedicures. Angela and Rachel sarcastically praise the strong men, and Tapega suggests that they settle things right here, right now. The girls can just kick their squirrely butts.

00:49:44
Speaker 4: Again. Nothing based in nothing based in reality or anything that would.

00:49:47
Speaker 3: Happen, especially at this point of my life. I'm like two ten here taking the three of you rout.

00:49:53
Speaker 6: By the way you look, you are so handsome, I really through this whole episode, I was like, I cannot believe Will is talking so badly about himself.

00:50:02
Speaker 4: You look fantastic.

00:50:04
Speaker 6: In this episode, you very much. Tapega asks them through gritted teeth. Do you have any idea what's going on in my life right now? Do you have any idea how much anger I have inside of me? Jack guesses a lot. She suggests a steel cage match tag team whoever lives gets the apartment. Eric lets out an exaggerated laugh to these girly girls.

00:50:24
Speaker 4: Really want to mess with such manly men.

00:50:27
Speaker 6: Jack flexes his big biceps and Eric encourages him to do the thing as the audience hoots and hollers at his muscles. Angela asks if Tapanga is sure about this, and she yells and then crushes a.

00:50:41
Speaker 4: Soda can into her forehead.

00:50:43
Speaker 5: This is I do too.

00:50:45
Speaker 3: This is a funny, beast fun super fun scene. This is why this whole thing was super fun to show.

00:50:50
Speaker 1: You guys are wearing your head smashed into By.

00:50:52
Speaker 6: The way, it's still hers as that even that fake can.

00:50:57
Speaker 5: Oh still oh yeah, like the bottom is still yeah.

00:51:01
Speaker 4: It's still a can.

00:51:03
Speaker 5: Like it's yeah, totally.

00:51:05
Speaker 4: I remember being like oh too.

00:51:09
Speaker 8: Yeah.

00:51:11
Speaker 6: In response, Eric grabs a soda can and shouts gibberish before slamming it into his forehead.

00:51:17
Speaker 5: That actually is not gibberish.

00:51:19
Speaker 3: The first thing I say is and that is a direct takeoff from Samurai Delicatessen, which John Belushi did in the seventies during Satura Night Live. What so that was, I'm quote, straight up quoting John Belushi's Samurai character from the nineteen seventies essay So Funny.

00:51:43
Speaker 6: Instead of looking tough, Eric dramatically falls to the floor in pain. Jack points out, it's supposed to be an empty can.

00:51:50
Speaker 4: Eric.

00:51:51
Speaker 2: So I feel like this is this the beginning of the like topanga Eric stuff?

00:51:57
Speaker 1: Yes, this is really fun. I was like, we do this for the rest of the season.

00:52:01
Speaker 2: Don't be like the wed in and the sneak attack and all you guys, your characters have never been against each other, really, and this is a great dynamic. I mean, I guess the thing is you put Eric against any straight person you know. But like, the panga is a great foil for Eric's She's.

00:52:17
Speaker 3: So much smarter right that everything he tries, she's always three, three or four steps ahead, which is which is great and that and it culminates in the war episode or not the works of the sneak attack episode, that whole thing. So this is where it starts, and this is when Eric says she beat me up Jack late in the later episode, and then I think we cut to this of her like punching me in the stomach over and over again, which is the impetus for getting into all the costumes and everything.

00:52:41
Speaker 5: But I remember, just shooting this was a ton of fun.

00:52:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, because you and I did you remember we like work out the beats where it's like grab me by the hair and You're like okay, and then I'll.

00:52:49
Speaker 4: Grab this and we we are. We do a good job of it, I know, yeah.

00:52:55
Speaker 2: And it's like just the right amount of cartoony that like it's totally fine that ever, but he's beating each other up so absurdly.

00:53:01
Speaker 3: It is ridiculous and absurd and it came out of nowhere. And I wish the whole episode is like this, because this was at least fun. It just made no sense connected with everything else. But I just I distinctly remember having so much fun with you this week.

00:53:15
Speaker 5: Same just working the whole thing out.

00:53:17
Speaker 6: I know, I remember the same thing. But I had broken my elbow this week.

00:53:21
Speaker 1: It's right serious.

00:53:23
Speaker 6: Yes, I have a broken left elbow, but it wasn't the kind of broken that needed a cast. It was just like I had loose bone fragments floating around in there. But I had I had gotten Ana this summer. So this summer when I moved out of my pair, I had moved out. I was living on my own in Manhattan Beach, and I had just adopted Anna, my little Maltese dogs do.

00:53:44
Speaker 1: I carried her coffee bean. You always get splendid blend.

00:53:53
Speaker 6: Yeah, any cigarette Sea Forgot version is such a This is such an era for Danielle.

00:54:08
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:54:08
Speaker 6: And so I had these great neighbors, Uncle Jack and Anti Pam. I called them and they they were on the other side of this like six or seven foot brick wall, and I was like.

00:54:23
Speaker 4: I got this cute little dog.

00:54:25
Speaker 6: And I was like talking to them about Anna and I. In order to not have to be talking through the brick wall, I jumped up on the brick wall. And so the way it worked was there was a brick wall, and then on the at the end of the brick wall, there was a little swing gate that you could go out to the to the back, you know, like a park and whatever else. So I stepped on that fence to get up onto the brick wall. Because of the direction I was heading, the gate was unlocked and I did not realize it. So because of the way I was going up, it closed the gate like you know, you'd pull it towards you. But then coming down putting my foot on it and getting off the wall, it swung out from under me and I just fell onto my elbow.

00:55:09
Speaker 1: Oh.

00:55:10
Speaker 6: My roommate at the time was inside and like upstairs, didn't didn't see anything happened.

00:55:16
Speaker 4: Uncle Jack and Auntie Pam saw me like fall and then went are you okay?

00:55:21
Speaker 6: I had the wind completely knocked out of me, and I was in so much pain I physically could not even speak. And then I'm like laying on the floor and Uncle Jack and aatee to Pam go inside cause I' like, goh, she must be fine, she's not even out here.

00:55:35
Speaker 4: So they go inside.

00:55:36
Speaker 6: I see Danielle, my roommate, walk down the stairs and go into the kitchen, and I'm going I'm trying to go Danielle.

00:55:44
Speaker 4: Yeah, and she's like mic craving something.

00:55:46
Speaker 6: I see her look out into the backyard, like where Danielle goes take something out of the microwave, walks back upstairs. Anyway, after a few minutes, I obviously catch my breath and I'm like, okay, I'm gonna get up. And I decide I'm fine, it's just gonna be sore. There's nothing wrong. It's gonna be totally fine, and I just go about my day and I go and I meet up with my friend Sarah at a coffee at the coffeehouse, and we are talking and I'm telling her like, man, it really hurts. And at this point I'm starting to not be able to move my fingers. Oh gosh, and she goes dang, and I also cannot even remotely straighten my arm. She's like, I'm not letting you just say this is fine. I'm taking you right now to Cedar SINAI. Five and a half hours later, sitting in the emergency room waiting room, I get an X ray. They go, we don't know when the radioloist is going to look at it. You can just go ahead and go home. I go home. The next morning, I have to be in Burbank from Manhattan beach. So I get up super early, go to Burbank, work all day doing this stuff, the wrestling, during the wrestling stuff, go home. I get home and there's a message on my machine. Hi, this is Cter Siin. I wanted to let you know. Can you please call us back. The radiol just has read your report. Need you to call us back. Oh, I'm forgetting a very important detail. When I left the hospital, they said, we don't know when they're going to read it. In the meantime, here's a sling. Just put your arm in a sling and try not to move it much. And it was like great, So I do that all day. I get home they're like, please call us. The radiologist has read your report and we need to talk to you. I call them back and they're like, your elbow is broken. We need you to take it out of the sling and start moving it immediately. If you keep it in the sling, it's gonna freeze in that position. At this point, at this point, I cannot move any of my fingers and my arm is locked in a ninety degree position, and I'm like it really really hurts to move it, and they're like, great, we are going to call you a prescription for pain pills.

00:57:31
Speaker 1: Just take the pain.

00:57:32
Speaker 6: Pills and move it. And it was like, and this is the week we were doing wrestling. Oh god, wow, So I will always remember.

00:57:39
Speaker 1: I wish I would have targeted that elbow.

00:57:44
Speaker 9: Oh my gosh.

00:57:57
Speaker 6: What do you guys remember about working with Mick Foley? We've now worked with two wrestling legends.

00:58:02
Speaker 1: I actually didn't.

00:58:03
Speaker 2: I mean I remember meeting him, but you know, I didn't have any scenes with them, So I really only got to know Mick during conventions like recently, like in the last five ten years, Like I've really got to know him.

00:58:13
Speaker 1: It's just the nicest guy.

00:58:15
Speaker 5: He's awesome.

00:58:15
Speaker 3: He's awesome and loved like sharing his knowledge and we'll throw you over this thing, and we'll grab this and I'm going to throw you through that.

00:58:22
Speaker 5: It was was great, incredibly great.

00:58:25
Speaker 6: Then the bell dings and the match begins. Rachel steps onto Eric's back, making her way toward Jack. She throws a punch and he catches it. He can't fight her.

00:58:32
Speaker 4: She's too sweet.

00:58:34
Speaker 6: Rachel is touched, and mankind agrees that is sweet. Rachel uses this distraction to jump onto Jack's back and continuously smash his place into a platter of fresh sandwiches, like you're.

00:58:45
Speaker 5: Supposed to have.

00:58:46
Speaker 3: You guys are doing your nails, so beforehand you stopped and made they were sandwich.

00:58:52
Speaker 1: Iron shirts, made sandwiches, and then we're doing their nails.

00:58:55
Speaker 3: That's what women do with giant tubba popcorn, not in front of you, but on the tape next to your sandwich homemade sandwich platter.

00:59:03
Speaker 6: Yes, yes, Also could they not have even made a joke about the fact that he just appeared out of nowhere? Something no one even acknowledges who and why and nothing like even just one like should we be scared?

00:59:19
Speaker 4: Nothing?

00:59:20
Speaker 1: Just yell right?

00:59:21
Speaker 2: I Also like, why didn't they set this up in some capacity, like someone makes a wrestling reference like earlier on. It's like it's so absurd.

00:59:30
Speaker 4: But yeah whatever, okay.

00:59:31
Speaker 5: Yeah.

00:59:32
Speaker 6: In the process, Rachel breaks a nail, so she tags in Angela with mankind, announcing a legal tag. Angela runs up to Jack and asks if he's okay. Jack insists he's fine, so she grabs him and slams his head into the table, directly into a bowl of popcorn. Angela then trades places with Tapanga as Jack tries his hardest to tag in Eric, but he's refusing. A frustrated Mankind grabs both of the boys and brings them back into the cage. Get in there and wrestle, show some dignity. The boys cower and fear as all three girls approach with vengeance. Eric admits he doesn't know where to grab because all he sees are girly parts. Mankind reminds him not to touch those Jack points out there's three of them. This isn't fair. Mankind says, The only thing that's not fair is this. Then he gives Eric another knee of the gut and throws him through the wooden stairban a start breaking it into pieces. Yeah, Will, what was this like?

01:00:24
Speaker 1: It was awesome?

01:00:25
Speaker 5: I mean this is like this was always my favorite stuff.

01:00:28
Speaker 3: Hey, we're gonna throw you over this, We're gonna tuck you in this, We're gonna put you in this costume like this. This was I just lived in this, this section. This is my wheelhouse. So Mankind throwing me through the thing and then throwing me over the table.

01:00:40
Speaker 1: God love it, so father, Remember loving this kind of stuff too? Yeah, I have to do it as much, but like now I would hate it yeah, yeah, just too old.

01:00:50
Speaker 3: Now, yeah, I know, I am, I am too, but it was at the time, Oh god, it was, Yeah, it was fun.

01:00:56
Speaker 6: Jack is now feeling confident and tells the girls to bring it on.

01:00:59
Speaker 4: Eric screams from the stairs.

01:01:01
Speaker 6: This apartment is ours to Pega runs over and repeatedly punches Eric in the stomach, then throws him over the kitchen island. Angela and Rachel attack Jack by grabbing his nose, and to Panga pulls Eric across the room by his hair. They trade off as to Panga spears Jack into the couch and Rachel now slams Eric's head into the floor. Mankind rings the bell. The girls are victorious. They celebrate, and the inmates in the audience love what they have seen.

01:01:29
Speaker 3: Now this becomes so absurd that as Rachel Maitland jumps up to celebrate, the camera pulls back off the set so you can see like a light in the left and the painting on.

01:01:40
Speaker 5: The floor in the right where the line ends.

01:01:43
Speaker 3: It's like at this point they're like, ah, it's fine, don't worry about heirs.

01:01:46
Speaker 5: So it so it's like, oh, and the door's back the door.

01:01:49
Speaker 3: He kicks off the hinges, Oh my gosh, is just right back perfectly up into the thing. Yeah, this was with blood splatter wall moving off the set again. This was a strange episode and no lobsters anywhere. Somebody one says somebody RK caught her and was like or she's like, I'm again, I'm yeah, i'micros over here. So yeah, yeah, so I can't unless she's hiding them way better.

01:02:12
Speaker 5: They're no longer on the set.

01:02:14
Speaker 6: Well, the girls have won the apartment. We're back at Ryannon's house. Corey and Sean watch on as Rhann and opens the front door for Jedediah. She smiles and says hello. He nervously responds with what's up. Corey immediately judges him. Rhannon invites him in and asks how she's been. She's been okay, she guesses, and Corey scoffs. Nobody in the world knows how to do anything right. Jedediah says hi to Sean jokingly asks who's in the basement. Sean raises his arms, not me, not me. Jedediah greets Corey next, and Corey just signals for him to talk to his wife instead. Ryannon breaks the ice by explaining, Corey told me that you wanted to see me. Jedediah is confused. He did he told me the same thing. Corey defends himself. Well, it's just important that you're here together, right, Jedediah sighs and admits we should be able to be together no matter what went on between us. Rhiannon asks if that's so. Corey pulls Sean to get a better view. He's excited they're talking. Jedediah tells Rann and I just want you to know that I would never trade the years we had. Corey whispers to Sean, that is so beautiful. That's right from the soul. You didn't think we'd be able to pull this off, did you? Jedediah continues, And in time, I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Corey pumps his fists forgiveness. Forgiveness is everything that Sean wonders, forgive him for what? Corey doesn't care. Rhannon scoffs, is that what you came here to say? That you want me to forgive you? He explains, I don't want you to hate me anymore. Her voice gets shaky. I don't hate you. I She stops herself and then decides to say because of our life together and the beautiful child that we've made. Corey whispers to Banka that Sean, in case he was confused, we just make no mention of Tapanga's sister.

01:03:57
Speaker 5: No, nope, she's gone. Ever happened?

01:04:00
Speaker 6: Rhiannon continues, I will try as hard as I can to forgive you. Sean and Corey are in utter shock. Corey thinks he actually did it, but then rhiann and drops the bomb and I hope you find happiness with Marie. Knock Marie? What the boys are devastated? Corey asks who's Marie? Rhiannon reveals that's the woman Jedediah loves. Now, Corey looks at him with disgust. How could you do that?

01:04:25
Speaker 4: Hmmm? How could he? Corey judge Mcjudgerson.

01:04:28
Speaker 5: Yeah, maybe he was just skiing.

01:04:30
Speaker 4: Yeah, he hurt his foot.

01:04:31
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:04:33
Speaker 6: Jediah apologizes. Jedediah apologist to Corey, He's sorry. Corey wonders how he could love anyone other than this woman? What's wrong with this woman? Rhannon opens the door and Jedediah leaves. Now alone, she urges Corey to stop these things happen. She tries to walk away, but he demands answers, love can't just die. She tells him it can, and it did. She's sorry he had to find out like this and begs him not to tell Tapanga. She doesn't want her to hate her father. Corey's in shock. Sean asks him, Corey, what if we don't know anything? Corey is speechless at the thought, and then we are in Phoenie's classroom. Corey and Sean walk in, noticing Topanga and Angela already in their seats. Sean says he'll just follow his best friend's lead and nervously asks what they're going to do. Corey makes a bee line to the girls, and Tapega asks how their weekend went. Sean nervously answers.

01:05:24
Speaker 4: Boring kind eventful. We stayed in Phillylo col We stayed in town, so funny.

01:05:30
Speaker 6: Corey calmly admits, we went to Pittsburgh. Sean pipes up, oh yeah. Tapega asks why they'd go to Pittsburgh, and Sean lies.

01:05:37
Speaker 4: Sel we needed to find some s girdersurders, girders, girders.

01:05:43
Speaker 6: Corey continues to be honest. We went to talk to your parents. Sean nods his head, oh yeah, to Panga can't believe they would do that without talking to her first. Sean tries to tell her it wasn't a big deal, but Tapega knows better. She asks Corey, did you try to go down there to fix everything?

01:05:59
Speaker 4: Is that what you did? So superman?

01:06:00
Speaker 6: Sean gets in the middle, telling her to knock it off. Corey traveled one hundred miles on a Greyhound bus to find your parents and try to put them back together for you.

01:06:10
Speaker 5: He also has a car. Why are they in a bus?

01:06:12
Speaker 4: I don't know.

01:06:14
Speaker 6: He claims Corey was brilliant, and Tapanga is curious.

01:06:18
Speaker 1: Was he he was? Was brilliant?

01:06:20
Speaker 5: Was he was pushy and shouldn't have been there in the first place?

01:06:23
Speaker 1: And also Sean was right.

01:06:24
Speaker 4: Sean was right in the previous episode. These are adults. What if we were in their lives?

01:06:28
Speaker 1: Let's not do this people.

01:06:30
Speaker 6: Sean says, Corey made some really great moves and then quote some of Corey's Please he tells your parents, yea, he forced him into a room, forced him into a room. He judged everybody for their life, everybody for the way they talked.

01:06:46
Speaker 4: They were both upset at the end of it.

01:06:47
Speaker 2: And then we came home and we have to keep a secret from you because you can't find out about your dad having an affair.

01:06:55
Speaker 6: He's great, Sean says, Corey made some really great moves. Then he quotes some of Corey's Please Corey, you were good. Then he walks away. Topega looks at Corey.

01:07:04
Speaker 4: Were you?

01:07:05
Speaker 6: He responds, I wanted to be. She asks what that means, and he admits I failed horribly. I don't think your parents are going to get back together. Tapanga agrees and talks very quietly. I don't either. I just don't understand what could have happened between them. They were so in love. She asks Corey if he has any idea what could have happened to them, and he explains, no, Sometimes things just happen.

01:07:26
Speaker 4: But you were right.

01:07:27
Speaker 6: Everything I believed was wrong. Sometimes love just dies. Tapanga is on the verge of tears and abruptly turns away from him. Just then Feeni enters and everyone takes their seats. Sean asks Corey, now what, and Corey admits, now it's over. Phoeni instrucks the class to open their books to page forty eight, But Sean isn't done with Corey. Don't say that. You've never said that before. Corey sighs, Yeah, well I never believed it before either. Phoene turns their attention to the Cold War, and we get a shot off from.

01:07:58
Speaker 5: A high school text look that they're learning in college for some reason.

01:08:02
Speaker 6: Ye, Angela and Seawn are also sitting directly beside each other, also at a stalemate, much like the US and Russia.

01:08:11
Speaker 4: During the Cold War. Oh is that.

01:08:14
Speaker 1: What you thought?

01:08:14
Speaker 9: You can see?

01:08:15
Speaker 1: Yes?

01:08:16
Speaker 5: I thought everyone just wasn't warm, right, Yes? Oh that makes sense.

01:08:23
Speaker 1: Okay, great episode.

01:08:25
Speaker 5: The former really insightful. I've changed my mind.

01:08:32
Speaker 6: The former couples glances at each other, and the girls eventually look away, but the boys don't, and we have our tag back in Eric and Jack's gurly Backstreet Boys room. Eric's yelling at Jack, who's holding up a book of wallpaper samples. They can't have flowers in their new room. They need to pick something that says they're men. Jack suggests a new swatch Teddy Bears. Eric perks up, Yeah, yeah, Teddy Bears. He turns around and asks, what do you think, mankind? We reveal the wrestler is lying in the bed, cuddled up with a Hello, Kitty, plushy. I think the first thing you've got to do is take down that poster because the cute guys staring at me. Eric and Jack are a little disturbed as Mankind creeps up to the poster.

01:09:07
Speaker 4: I hate being stared at.

01:09:09
Speaker 6: Eric immediately looks down at the floor to avoid his wrath, but Jack continues to look. Oh no, I can't stop looking at him. After all, he's got leather straps on his face. Mankind reaches into his sweatpants and warns Jack, I think it's time you met mister Sacho. The crowd cheers as he pulls out a long, white athletic sock from his waistband. Jack doesn't seem too scared at first, but Mankind then puts the sock over his arm and stuffs it in Jack's mouth, choking and pushing him down onto the bed. Eric pulls Mankind off of his friend and calls him a bully, and so is mister Sacho. Eric is determined to stand up to him, just like Phoene told him to, and then they'll back down because they are bullies by definition. Mankind politely asks if Eric would like to fly through the air or go through the wall. Eric thinks about it for a moment and then decides air please. Mankind casually lifts him up over his head and we freeze, And that is our episode.

01:10:02
Speaker 4: The cap.

01:10:03
Speaker 7: Change your opinion at all, anyone, Yeah, I guess a little bit, Okay, I mean, yeah, you know, I just I was.

01:10:11
Speaker 1: I like the performances, you know, like, yeah, it's great.

01:10:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, but Ben doing drama, this was some of the best Corey drama I've seen because he doesn't he does he doesn't do angry as much, you know, when he's self righteous and he's doing but it's it's not angry Corey, and it's sad and and yeah, I thought, you.

01:10:32
Speaker 1: Know, the Sean Corey stuff was was fine.

01:10:35
Speaker 2: So I just I guess I overlooked the lack of story.

01:10:39
Speaker 6: You are right that the performances are all great, because even though I don't love what they gave them, the.

01:10:46
Speaker 4: Like, everyone's so good.

01:10:48
Speaker 6: So it's hard to like hate it because there's nothing really bad.

01:10:53
Speaker 4: To point to. It's just kind of like, does any of this really make sense?

01:10:57
Speaker 3: It's just too absolute extra memes taped together. It's absurd comedy put with absolute melodrama and then scotch tape together and maybe it worked In the last episode, I thought, whereas this one again, I just I also personally and the performance was wonderful. I hated Corey in this episode absolutely, where it was like, mind your business, you are a child? What the hell are you doing? In this married cut, like I just know what tells.

01:11:27
Speaker 6: Him that no one ever says like you you are so out of line.

01:11:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's a Phoeney Cory moment would have been nice.

01:11:36
Speaker 3: Or an Alan Corey moment where he goes home.

01:11:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, and the.

01:11:42
Speaker 3: Episode right, I mean him saying I'm going to Pittsburgh to save it and Alan going no, you're not.

01:11:48
Speaker 1: How dare you?

01:11:49
Speaker 3: Like? That would have been a powerful thing as opposed to me just watching this or just making kid.

01:11:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, if his plan is so ridiculous, over the top, you can't help but think it's kind of funny. You know, it's going so far and Corey just you know, messes everything up in a hysterical way because he's obsessed.

01:12:06
Speaker 1: That would have been funny.

01:12:07
Speaker 3: And it could have been you know, it starts with a chart and it's tim and it's like pointing at something and Sean's like, where are we getting a helicopter? We'll figure it out, you know, like stuff like stuff like.

01:12:15
Speaker 1: That scheme, make it a big yan funny scheme.

01:12:18
Speaker 5: But okay, so one one and one so far for me for season seven.

01:12:22
Speaker 1: So still hopeful, Still hopeful.
