<v Speaker 1>This is WWE superstar Drew McIntyre, and you're listening to
<v Speaker 1>the WWE podcast show.
<v Speaker 2>The one that everybody wants me Godete sixteen.
<v Speaker 3>So just what your ass is?
<v Speaker 4>My arm?
<v Speaker 2>You can acknowledge me?
<v Speaker 5>All right?
<v Speaker 6>Well, let's get to the Saturday night's main event review
<v Speaker 6>preview that's going to take place well now, but the
<v Speaker 6>actual event as we know it takes place tomorrow night
<v Speaker 6>from Montreal, And if you're in attendance, let me know.
<v Speaker 6>I'd love to hear about your in person experience. I
<v Speaker 6>do have some contacts up there, but I don't know
<v Speaker 6>if they're actually attending the event. If they are great,
<v Speaker 6>and if you're new or if you're just a listener
<v Speaker 6>that's been part of the show forever and you are attending,
<v Speaker 6>let me know, all right, I'd love to get an
<v Speaker 6>in person experience perspective. I think it's important. So three matches,
<v Speaker 6>that's it? Am I mistaken? I actually had to check
<v Speaker 6>WWE's website and things may change tonight because it's still
<v Speaker 6>one more show until the event tomorrow night. But three
<v Speaker 6>matches this may be the smallest card I've ever seen
<v Speaker 6>in WWE history. I'm not being facetious.
<v Speaker 5>About that.
<v Speaker 6>I'm serious. I don't know if I've ever seen three matches.
<v Speaker 6>I'm not complaining. It's a nice change your pace. And
<v Speaker 6>that's been the motto of Bruce Pritchard and Triple H
<v Speaker 6>about fewer matches, longer stories, easier to digest, and I
<v Speaker 6>do generally agree with that principle. So we're going to
<v Speaker 6>go through the matches. We're going to go through your emails.
<v Speaker 6>We might even have a couple of voicemails as well.
<v Speaker 6>We're going to go through all of that throughout the show,
<v Speaker 6>and so stay tuned. If you want to be a
<v Speaker 6>part of the show and you are interested in getting
<v Speaker 6>on the show, you can email us at mailbag at
<v Speaker 6>wwepodcast dot com. So before we get there, though, I
<v Speaker 6>have a few shoutouts for those that have joined us
<v Speaker 6>over the last week or so. We have Mega Man,
<v Speaker 6>Luis gonzales I believe I remember you, and Carl Eerich.
<v Speaker 6>Thank you, Carl, Luis or Lewis and Mega Man. Thank
<v Speaker 6>you guys for joining me on the Patreon side of things,
<v Speaker 6>and we do offer a week membership for free if
<v Speaker 6>you'd like to give us a try, but good time
<v Speaker 6>to do it because there's not only Saturday Nights Man event,
<v Speaker 6>but we're about to enter WrestleMania season in full force
<v Speaker 6>in just about a week. Because, believe it or not,
<v Speaker 6>there's also another plee. I don't know if you've heard
<v Speaker 6>of it. It's relatively new. They've just come up with
<v Speaker 6>it in the last couple of weeks. Really, it's called
<v Speaker 6>the rye El Rumble. Oh maybe I didn't pronounce that right.
<v Speaker 6>Hold on, Oh sorry, Royal Rumble. So it sounds like
<v Speaker 6>a pretty cool concept regarding the matches and what they
<v Speaker 6>mean with I think there's thirty people in the men's
<v Speaker 6>and women's Royal Rumble matches and the prize is something
<v Speaker 6>about WrestleMania. I'm not really completely sure about that. I'll
<v Speaker 6>have to dig into it. Maybe somebody can ask chatch
<v Speaker 6>Ept what the rules are, and I don't know. It
<v Speaker 6>sounds like a cool, cool concept, but I don't know
<v Speaker 6>if this quote, this Royal Rumble pl e'll actually stick.
<v Speaker 6>Sounds like kind of a fad, a one off to me.
<v Speaker 6>And yes, I'm being a complete jerk because WWE has
<v Speaker 6>pushed this ple e aside in a way that I've
<v Speaker 6>never seen them do in my thirty years of watching wrestling.
<v Speaker 6>Never have I ever seen them push this pl aside
<v Speaker 6>for I don't even know what they're doing it for.
<v Speaker 6>Can't be Saturday Nights main event. Saturday Nights man Event
<v Speaker 6>is most almost the most inconsequential ple of all time.
<v Speaker 6>And sure there may be things we don't see coming,
<v Speaker 6>but based on the card and the fewest matches I've
<v Speaker 6>ever seen on a pl E card, that can't be
<v Speaker 6>the case. It just they cannot have told me and
<v Speaker 6>sell me on the fact that they have put aside
<v Speaker 6>the Royal Rumble, barely mentioned it over the last couple
<v Speaker 6>of weeks, just for you know, not what we don't
<v Speaker 6>want to We don't want to push aside Saturday Nights
<v Speaker 6>made Event. Oh no, I would. I would to me
<v Speaker 6>Saturday Nights main event would be a side show and
<v Speaker 6>it should be all about the Royal Rumble. Why would
<v Speaker 6>it not be? Why would you not want it to be?
<v Speaker 6>Many people look at that as the best PLA of
<v Speaker 6>the year, so I don't get it. Now they have
<v Speaker 6>one week until the Royal Rumble, which is just stupid.
<v Speaker 6>I mean, I know that it sells itself. They can
<v Speaker 6>make that claim. That doesn't mean you just who whole
<v Speaker 6>cloth they ignore it, and that's essentially what they've done.
<v Speaker 6>And yes, this week it'll be all about Royal Rumble.
<v Speaker 6>They'll be faux battle royals and people knocking each other
<v Speaker 6>over the top rope, and the announcers will say, oh,
<v Speaker 6>if this happens on Saturday, they'll be eliminated. You know,
<v Speaker 6>the usual garbage. But it's it feels so rushed. I
<v Speaker 6>can't believe. It's essentially one week of a build and
<v Speaker 6>they've ignored it up until this point. Yes, you've had
<v Speaker 6>a few declinations of entering the Rumble, but it's been
<v Speaker 6>essentially a side project of WWE. Somebody needs to just shake, like, hey, guys,
<v Speaker 6>you understand that the Rumble's not in like three or
<v Speaker 6>four weeks. It's in like a week. I don't understand it,
<v Speaker 6>but right maybe I'm being offended on behalf of people
<v Speaker 6>that don't even give a damn. But all right, so
<v Speaker 6>let's get to the card again, crazy crazy, small card.
<v Speaker 6>But that could change if something's added to SmackDown. Obviously
<v Speaker 6>I have not seen SmackDown, so we shall see. But
<v Speaker 6>the first matchup on the card tomorrow night is Randy
<v Speaker 6>Orton versus Trick Williams versus Damian Priest versus Sammy's This
<v Speaker 6>is for the undisputed WWE title Number one contenders fatal
<v Speaker 6>four way match, so one fall to a finish. This
<v Speaker 6>is not an elimination match, So you have Randy Trick, Damien,
<v Speaker 6>and Sammy. The only two that could possibly come out
<v Speaker 6>of this in my mind is Sammy or Randy. And
<v Speaker 6>given the fact that we have Drew McIntyre as champion,
<v Speaker 6>do they really want to go to Randy Orton versus
<v Speaker 6>Drew McIntyre or do they want to try to push
<v Speaker 6>Sammy Zain back into the main event given the fact
<v Speaker 6>that they did tease it a little bit this past
<v Speaker 6>week with Drew and Sammy having a confrontation and Drew
<v Speaker 6>talking about the record Sammy has against Drew, which is
<v Speaker 6>like zero and eleven or something. He's undefeated against Sammy's
<v Speaker 6>ain in one on one competition, and they could certainly
<v Speaker 6>try to pull Sammy into that and make this a
<v Speaker 6>fun Royal Rumble event with Sammy versus Drew. But Randy
<v Speaker 6>Orton also makes a whole lot of sense because he
<v Speaker 6>always makes a lot of sense because he's Randy Orton.
<v Speaker 6>He hasn't aged he hasn't missed a step. If anything,
<v Speaker 6>he looks better than he's ever got looked in his life.
<v Speaker 6>So sure, Randy Orton could certainly be put in that position.
<v Speaker 6>Both are baby faces, Both make sense. You could also
<v Speaker 6>do a triple threat, although I wouldn't. My guess is
<v Speaker 6>Sammy z Aye wins this. It's in Montreal. Randy Orton
<v Speaker 6>is not going to be the fan favorite here because
<v Speaker 6>of where we're at. I think Sammy Zain is a
<v Speaker 6>favorite to win, and he probably will. Now this match,
<v Speaker 6>given the fact there's only three matches, is probably going
<v Speaker 6>to be somewhere in the ballpark of twenty five minutes.
<v Speaker 6>And it deserves it because this is a group that
<v Speaker 6>I don't believe we've ever seen in a four way
<v Speaker 6>match before. But you have Trick Williams, who is like
<v Speaker 6>an all world athlete. You have Damian Priest who always
<v Speaker 6>seems to over deliver in big spots. Randy Orton, who
<v Speaker 6>do I need to say more? Sammy's Ain is a
<v Speaker 6>you know, a top worker as well. This is going
<v Speaker 6>to be an awesome match. There's I would be personally
<v Speaker 6>offended if this match is not awesome. And when I
<v Speaker 6>say awesome, I don't mean it by today's definition of Hey,
<v Speaker 6>kickout of every finish seven times, you know that's not
<v Speaker 6>an awesome match to me. Building to the finish is
<v Speaker 6>an awesome match to me. False finishes that don't involve
<v Speaker 6>the finish are an awesome match to me. That's what's awesome. Psychology, pacing,
<v Speaker 6>all the rest, everything except leaning on kicking out of finishes,
<v Speaker 6>which is an insane over use today and likely will
<v Speaker 6>be one of the crutches that these guys lean on.
<v Speaker 6>And I'm not criticizing them because that's kind of what
<v Speaker 6>people do today and they're just they're following with what
<v Speaker 6>the crowd reacts to. I think it's still doing a
<v Speaker 6>larger amount of damage than good. But that said, when
<v Speaker 6>you come out of it and we're done with it,
<v Speaker 6>I think all of us are gonna be like, damn
<v Speaker 6>awesome what I think is gonna happen. Sammy' Zin probably
<v Speaker 6>gets the pinfall over, Maybe Trick Williams, although if they're
<v Speaker 6>trying to protect him and he's on the way up.
<v Speaker 6>It might be Damian Priest, who is looking at the
<v Speaker 6>totem pole of where people are stacked right now. Damian
<v Speaker 6>Priest is probably on the bottom of this. So Sammy
<v Speaker 6>probably pins Damien, protecting Randy protecting Trick, and maybe Sammy
<v Speaker 6>gets the benefit of an RKO and gets the victory
<v Speaker 6>over Priest that way, And you know what I mean,
<v Speaker 6>like he may be the benefactor of Randy hitting at RKO,
<v Speaker 6>not able to cover one, two, three, semi wins, you know,
<v Speaker 6>something like that. But yeah, crowd's gonna be super hot
<v Speaker 6>for Sammy.
<v Speaker 5>All right.
<v Speaker 6>The Women's Tag Team Champions Ria Ripley and EO Sky
<v Speaker 6>take on Live Morgan and Roxanne Perez. So this match,
<v Speaker 6>I mean, I really don't have I don't mean to
<v Speaker 6>say this in a putting a poor and cold water
<v Speaker 6>on this match before it even starts. I don't have
<v Speaker 6>high expectations for this match. And Live is great. Riea
<v Speaker 6>is great, I will say EO Sky. I mean we
<v Speaker 6>all know who and what she is. When I say great,
<v Speaker 6>I don't mean this is going to be a botchfest
<v Speaker 6>by any stretch. But this match will probably be twelve
<v Speaker 6>to fourteen minutes if I was to guess, but it
<v Speaker 6>should be okay. And do I expect new women's tag
<v Speaker 6>team champions? Is it possible?
<v Speaker 2>Well?
<v Speaker 6>I mean, you do have Liv Morgan in Roxane Perez,
<v Speaker 6>who have really come onto the scene here as a
<v Speaker 6>tag team, and if they do win, I will say
<v Speaker 6>it would be a sign that Ria Ripley is going
<v Speaker 6>to go back into the women's title picture. I would say,
<v Speaker 6>if we're gonna get tag team new tag team champions,
<v Speaker 6>this is when it happens. And when I say that,
<v Speaker 6>I mean now or the Rumble, because if the Rumble
<v Speaker 6>features a women's tag team title match where we Ripley
<v Speaker 6>and Neosky are defending, they could do a title change there.
<v Speaker 6>But they're not going to do I think a title
<v Speaker 6>match the women's tag team title match at the Rumble,
<v Speaker 6>because the Rumble is about the two were a rumble
<v Speaker 6>matches which take up an hour and a half each,
<v Speaker 6>and then you have a championship match for the Unnispeeda
<v Speaker 6>Championship and usually for the world titles. So there's almost
<v Speaker 6>no chance that this happens. And my point about this
<v Speaker 6>is Rhea and EO probably drop the belts here to
<v Speaker 6>rock sand and Live. Okay, let's get too Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 6>taking non Jacob Fatu really not an interesting match. It's
<v Speaker 6>it's certainly I don't think is deserving of a pl event,
<v Speaker 6>giving how quickly this thing built, and that there doesn't
<v Speaker 6>seem to be a whole lot of natural chemistry here.
<v Speaker 6>This does not interest me very much. It's a setup
<v Speaker 6>for something bigger, a big return, maybe Roman reigns. But
<v Speaker 6>you know, even there, I think Roman Rains is probably
<v Speaker 6>slated for a return at the Rumble, just like La Knight,
<v Speaker 6>just like Chris Jericho and others. Bianca Belle Air will
<v Speaker 6>go through the Rumble next week. But I don't have
<v Speaker 6>a particular interest here in this one. Cody Roads is
<v Speaker 6>not the champion anymore. Jacob Fautu is still trying to
<v Speaker 6>find himself and really make a name for himself among
<v Speaker 6>the casual fan We know he was a part of
<v Speaker 6>the Bloodline. He didn't work out with Solo. You could
<v Speaker 6>see him becoming a star, and the crowd gets behind him.
<v Speaker 6>He gets injured and he comes back and then it's like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 6>he's facing Cody because he attacked Drew, but then Cody
<v Speaker 6>attacked him because he screwed him. Whether it's intentional or not,
<v Speaker 6>it just to me does not really excite me for
<v Speaker 6>a Saturday Nights the main event of Saturday Night's main event.
<v Speaker 6>But I think it's going to be a fine match,
<v Speaker 6>probably sixteen minutes seventeen minutes, with Cody Rhoads probably going over.
<v Speaker 6>But Jacob at two is just returning and you don't
<v Speaker 6>want to immediately bury him right off the bat. However,
<v Speaker 6>Cody Rhads is WWE's golden Boy, and do they want
<v Speaker 6>to make Cody Rhoads look like he's maybe not good
<v Speaker 6>enough to win this year's Royal Rumble now that there's
<v Speaker 6>something to be said for that, because the Rumble was
<v Speaker 6>only a week after that, so there's some cases to
<v Speaker 6>be made about who should win or who shouldn't. Honestly,
<v Speaker 6>it doesn't really matter because this will all be erased
<v Speaker 6>at the Royal Rumble when they are likely no Cody
<v Speaker 6>Roads is in the Rumble. I don't know about Jacob Battu.
<v Speaker 6>Who's I mean, even if he's in it, he's not
<v Speaker 6>going to win it, right but all right? Kind of
<v Speaker 6>an at least on the surface, a very underwhelming card
<v Speaker 6>for Saturday night's main event. I don't know if it's
<v Speaker 6>a sellout in Montreal. I didn't check the tickets, but
<v Speaker 6>let's check check in with you guys before I do that. Though,
<v Speaker 6>if you want to get rid of all the ads
<v Speaker 6>you've heard throughout the show, go to Patreon, Patreon dot
<v Speaker 6>com slash WWE podcast to get rid of all of them,
<v Speaker 6>or go to Apple and click the subscribe button. So
<v Speaker 6>let's check in. Let's check in with Dennis. Dennis says,
<v Speaker 6>this is really quick that Donald Trump has declared himself
<v Speaker 6>for the Royal Rumble. And there's an image you sent
<v Speaker 6>me of the Donald Trump and the WW Royal Rumble logo.
<v Speaker 6>I mean possible. I mean, all you got to do,
<v Speaker 6>according to the rules, is just declare yourself. So all right,
<v Speaker 6>I'm sure there's some people that would love to see
<v Speaker 6>Donald Trump with the Rumble and then actually get hurt,
<v Speaker 6>and others that would love to see him win. And
<v Speaker 6>I mean, yeah, kind of a controversial, of course entry there.
<v Speaker 6>But thanks Dennis. Also, he says, hope you're well. Happy
<v Speaker 6>New Year to you and your family. I sent you
<v Speaker 6>a few videos. At the raw at Belfast Balor and Re,
<v Speaker 6>I got the biggest pops of the night. Punk was
<v Speaker 6>booed out of the building. I heard it didn't come
<v Speaker 6>across on TV that way. The crowd started chanting you
<v Speaker 6>are banned from Japan. At Logan Paul, just in case
<v Speaker 6>you couldn't make out what they were saying, Well, thank
<v Speaker 6>you for telling me that, because I didn't know what
<v Speaker 6>they were saying, because the Belfast accent is very strong
<v Speaker 6>and can be hard to understand. I enjoyed the show.
<v Speaker 6>There was a great atmosphere Styles versus gun through at
<v Speaker 6>the Rumble. With styles career on the line, surely he
<v Speaker 6>isn't going to retire at the Rumble. It would be
<v Speaker 6>ten years since he debuted, Thanks Matt. Yeah, that's a
<v Speaker 6>great point. AJ Styles infamously debuts at the Rumble number
<v Speaker 6>two after Roman reigns, I believe was number one in
<v Speaker 6>the twenty sixteen Royal Rumble. We have AJ Styles at
<v Speaker 6>number two. If I'm not mistaken. It could have been
<v Speaker 6>number three, but I thought it was two. He debuts
<v Speaker 6>early and the crowd loses it. And since then, I mean,
<v Speaker 6>he's He's had more matches in WWE than in TNA
<v Speaker 6>and New Japan combined. He's had some nine hundred plus
<v Speaker 6>in w WA an eight hundred and change and all
<v Speaker 6>the other promotions combined, So he has been primarily you
<v Speaker 6>can say the majority of AJ's career has actually been
<v Speaker 6>with WWE, at least the majority of his matches crazy
<v Speaker 6>and he has more than excelled here. But thank you
<v Speaker 6>for the in person about what the crowd was chanting.
<v Speaker 6>I always have a hard time when they go overseas,
<v Speaker 6>and it's just because when I can't understand what the
<v Speaker 6>crowd's chanting. I mean, it is annoying, especially when it's
<v Speaker 6>loud and it's clear, but the accent is so heavy
<v Speaker 6>that even if you hear the chant very clearly, you
<v Speaker 6>still don't know what they're saying because of the accent.
<v Speaker 6>So thank you, Dennis, appreciate it, and hope Ball as
<v Speaker 6>well on your end as well. Okay, yes, but I
<v Speaker 6>did see the videos, so thank you. I do see
<v Speaker 6>that email with all of the videos, and I have
<v Speaker 6>checked them out. I appreciate that, all right, DJ, He says,
<v Speaker 6>did anyone get a chance to watch the new season
<v Speaker 6>of Unreal on Netflix? It seems like the Netflix is
<v Speaker 6>banking on having docuseries like this one on their platform
<v Speaker 6>to kind of give a behind the scenes point of
<v Speaker 6>view as to how decisions are made, especially in WWE.
<v Speaker 6>If Vince was still in charge, I don't think he
<v Speaker 6>would have agreed in having behind the scenes footage aired
<v Speaker 6>publicly for the world to see. In a sense, it
<v Speaker 6>takes away from the mystique of prog wrestling and breaks
<v Speaker 6>the proverbial third wall between what is character based and
<v Speaker 6>what is real. They have had no fourth wall. I mean,
<v Speaker 6>I say, I think you mean fourth wall, but I gotcha.
<v Speaker 6>They haven't had that fourth wall for a long time.
<v Speaker 6>It has been slowly eroding and has been gone for
<v Speaker 6>many years. The difference between the fourth wall not being
<v Speaker 6>there and this administration's management of WWE. When I say
<v Speaker 6>this administration, I'm referring to TKO and who they put
<v Speaker 6>in charge. The difference is this administration, and it sounds
<v Speaker 6>like I'm talking about the presidency again talking about TKO.
<v Speaker 6>This administration will do anything for money, doesn't have any
<v Speaker 6>doesn't have a care in the world for any traditions
<v Speaker 6>in pro wrestling, and most importantly, reminds you all the
<v Speaker 6>time what you're watching isn't real. What you're watching is produced.
<v Speaker 6>Let's remind you during the show what you're watching and
<v Speaker 6>that it's not real. Let's talk about heels and babyfaces
<v Speaker 6>in opening promos to ples using heel and babyface language.
<v Speaker 6>It's absurd. That's the difference. While Vince McMahon's administration of
<v Speaker 6>running w W did rode the fourth wall, they didn't
<v Speaker 6>remind you of it all the time. TKO, on the
<v Speaker 6>other hand, does, and they have no shame about it.
<v Speaker 6>They want to. They want to make sure you know
<v Speaker 6>it's not real and that the general population knows that
<v Speaker 6>they know it's not real. So or not, nobody's insulting
<v Speaker 6>anyone's intelligence, which is just a really ridiculous concept, because
<v Speaker 6>the whole premise behind prog wrestling is being able to
<v Speaker 6>try to believe and just bring yourself into the moment
<v Speaker 6>like any TV show, like any movie. But for some
<v Speaker 6>reason they think maybe that there's some people out there
<v Speaker 6>that believe that they think pro wrestling is real. It
<v Speaker 6>gets very weird. But also the fact that they did
<v Speaker 6>this administration's management of TK of WWE will do any
<v Speaker 6>and everything for money, putting advertisements on any and everything.
<v Speaker 6>Do you know the wrestler's gear is next, it's coming.
<v Speaker 6>So that's the difference, And which administration would I prefer?
<v Speaker 6>The McMahon administration. Yes, I know so many people villainize
<v Speaker 6>Vince McMahon how terrible he was, He was senile, He
<v Speaker 6>didn't know what he was doing creatively. He's chaotic, and
<v Speaker 6>you know what, some of those claims can be true.
<v Speaker 6>There is something called a concept called more than one
<v Speaker 6>thing can be true at once. You can be chaotic,
<v Speaker 6>you can be a little bit off the rails, you
<v Speaker 6>can be a little bit adversarial, but you can also
<v Speaker 6>be a genius. And Vince McMahon was all of those things.
<v Speaker 6>Was he a good human being as a person? I mean,
<v Speaker 6>that's up for debate. Vince. Let you see what he
<v Speaker 6>wanted you to see. Did he have the scandals that
<v Speaker 6>we all know about. I mean, we only know what
<v Speaker 6>we hear. Has anyone actually looked through the evidence? I'm
<v Speaker 6>guaranteeing that ninety nine percent of us have not. So
<v Speaker 6>you're only going what you hope is true about Vince
<v Speaker 6>and that you want to be true. You need to
<v Speaker 6>be true to villainize Vince McMahon when the reality is
<v Speaker 6>that none of us would be here watching pro wrestling
<v Speaker 6>had it not been for Vince McMahon. So was he
<v Speaker 6>old and senile and a lot of times chaotic and
<v Speaker 6>storylines wouldn't make sense? Yes, absolutely, I'm not defending any
<v Speaker 6>horrible thing Vince did. I'm simply defending the fact that
<v Speaker 6>he at least had some scrap of respect left for
<v Speaker 6>k Fabe, a little bit of respect for only bringing
<v Speaker 6>cameras back when it was necessary and not exposing his
<v Speaker 6>own product every chance he got. So there is something
<v Speaker 6>to be said for Vince despite what you think that
<v Speaker 6>maybe he's the Antichrist, and so many people do and
<v Speaker 6>they want him to be this evil human being they
<v Speaker 6>need him to be. But you can be two things
<v Speaker 6>at once. That's the thing. It's not a mutually exclusive
<v Speaker 6>club here. However, back to DJ's email, I'm not gonna lie.
<v Speaker 6>Even though I don't have a Netflix account, the video
<v Speaker 6>clips from this season new season of Unreal is everywhere,
<v Speaker 6>and I took a look at some of the clips,
<v Speaker 6>including the backstage footage of Triple H speaking with La
<v Speaker 6>Knight after Money in the Bank, in which he apparently
<v Speaker 6>in which apparently La Night did not follow through with
<v Speaker 6>the original plan the booking decision of the match. Anyway,
<v Speaker 6>they're about like five episodes of this new season, and
<v Speaker 6>it seems like Unreal is going to be a regular
<v Speaker 6>fixture on Netflix for years to come, because there's going
<v Speaker 6>to be a third season coming this summer. I believe it.
<v Speaker 6>I mean, fans, do you want to see this? Even
<v Speaker 6>those that still want to believe wrestling is is real again.
<v Speaker 6>They know it's not, but they want to believe because it,
<v Speaker 6>you know, it keeps you emotionally attached to the product.
<v Speaker 6>Even those people will begrudgingly, I think, watch and that's
<v Speaker 6>all they care about. They don't care about the reason
<v Speaker 6>you're watching or how you feel when you're watching, just
<v Speaker 6>that you're watching. That's it. It's all they care about.
<v Speaker 6>And I saw that clip too of La and Night
<v Speaker 6>being kind of scolded regarding the finish, and Bruce Pritchard
<v Speaker 6>and Triple H backstage with their headsets on being annoyed
<v Speaker 6>about how the finish went, And yes, that too, I
<v Speaker 6>did not watch Unreal and truth be told, Will I
<v Speaker 6>ever get around to actually watching it? I mean maybe,
<v Speaker 6>But that doesn't mean I'm going to ever agree with
<v Speaker 6>them doing it. Doesn't mean I'm ever going to agree
<v Speaker 6>with their concept of bringing cameras backstage showing everybody everything
<v Speaker 6>all the time about how everything works. Because I have
<v Speaker 6>a lasting respect for wrestling that I think is not
<v Speaker 6>superseded by fans interest or perceived interest in what's going on. Backstage.
<v Speaker 6>There used to be a little bit of mystery. Right
<v Speaker 6>now there's not. But for all of those that love
<v Speaker 6>Unreal and think it's completely legitimate and all that, and
<v Speaker 6>I think a lot of it is. I've said this before,
<v Speaker 6>but it's an important point to be made here. WWE
<v Speaker 6>is still only allowing you to see what they want
<v Speaker 6>you to see. If you truly had an unreal experience,
<v Speaker 6>if you really wanted a a what's the word I'm
<v Speaker 6>looking for, a legitimate like a pure experience of unreal,
<v Speaker 6>you would have mics on Triple H and his creative
<v Speaker 6>team at all times during their discussions, and they wouldn't
<v Speaker 6>know that they're even on them, right, you would somehow
<v Speaker 6>have a live stream of their conversations when it has
<v Speaker 6>to do with the creative when they don't know it's on,
<v Speaker 6>because they know when the cameras are on, they know
<v Speaker 6>when they have mics on, they know when cameras are there.
<v Speaker 6>So when cameras are there, you think they're not being
<v Speaker 6>careful with the language they're using. You think that they're
<v Speaker 6>not filtering themselves and curating, curating what they want you
<v Speaker 6>to see about how things work. How do you know
<v Speaker 6>you're not seeing a version of reality, only they want
<v Speaker 6>you to see about how things work. You know, we're
<v Speaker 6>getting a little bit into the matrix here, layer upon layer,
<v Speaker 6>but you have to think about that. Everyone acts different
<v Speaker 6>when a camera's on them and they know a camera's
<v Speaker 6>on them or a MIC's on them, right, everyone does.
<v Speaker 6>So I don't think that this show is scripted, right.
<v Speaker 6>I don't think this is just kind of like a
<v Speaker 6>dream within a dream, but it's not reality yet. I
<v Speaker 6>do believe that this is truly. Some of what happens
<v Speaker 6>and what they say is probably very much real. But
<v Speaker 6>I do think that there is a lot of filtering
<v Speaker 6>going on on the show. Because it's a it's for
<v Speaker 6>national international consumption, they are very careful with what they
<v Speaker 6>say and how they say it. Now, let me quickly
<v Speaker 6>mention this is back to DJ predictions for Saturday night's
<v Speaker 6>main event. It's three matches and yeah, like I said,
<v Speaker 6>fourth match, I would imagine they're going to bring a
<v Speaker 6>fourth match in to on SmackDown, but we'll see. So
<v Speaker 6>you're thinking Cody beats Jacob via disqualification, Ria and Eo
<v Speaker 6>retain tag titles, and Randy Orton wins the fatal four
<v Speaker 6>way Wow did I even pick a winner for Cody?
<v Speaker 6>I think I did. I think I said Cody as well,
<v Speaker 6>So I think we're only one out of three together there, DJ,
<v Speaker 6>But again, none of this really interests me. The best
<v Speaker 6>match by far in the card is the Fatal four way,
<v Speaker 6>and even in that one, there's only two possibilities, and
<v Speaker 6>Randy's one of them. All right, DJ signing off, Have
<v Speaker 6>a great weekend, enjoy Saturday Night main event from Montreal, Canada.
<v Speaker 6>And to all those expecting a ton of snow this weekend,
<v Speaker 6>like myself up here in New York City, be safe
<v Speaker 6>and stay home if need be. Yeah, we would think
<v Speaker 6>up here they're saying twelve to eighteen inches, which I
<v Speaker 6>mean to some of you who are listening in the South,
<v Speaker 6>if any of you are in the Deep South, you're like,
<v Speaker 6>oh my god, that would cripple us for three months.
<v Speaker 6>Up here, I mean, roads are clear within like a
<v Speaker 6>few hours of the storm being over. I really don't
<v Speaker 6>understand the panic that ensues. We have snowplows, right, this
<v Speaker 6>isn't sixteen sixty four, Like we we have snowplows. Most
<v Speaker 6>of us have grocery stores within a five minute radius
<v Speaker 6>radius of our homes and maybe you might be inconvenience
<v Speaker 6>for a few hours if you have to clean your
<v Speaker 6>clean off your driveway and you get plowed in, and yeah,
<v Speaker 6>that can be a pain in the neck. I get it,
<v Speaker 6>But I don't know where this generational panic that has
<v Speaker 6>not ever found a way to kind of come to
<v Speaker 6>grips with the reality of the conveniences we have today.
<v Speaker 6>It's just like this generational panic that has set in
<v Speaker 6>from the dawn of humanity. Oh my god, it's gonna snow.
<v Speaker 6>We're gonna be trapped in our homes. And a lot
<v Speaker 6>of times I'm sure that happened. Right our ancestors didn't
<v Speaker 6>have access to any of these things, and they were
<v Speaker 6>truly trapped. But hey, we have snowplows, we have shovels,
<v Speaker 6>we have salt, And don't you love if you guys
<v Speaker 6>live in a place that or if you watch the
<v Speaker 6>news in your local area that doesn't get snow a lot,
<v Speaker 6>or even if you get snow a lot and you
<v Speaker 6>watch the news every year without fail, they go to
<v Speaker 6>like a local hardware store and they talk to the
<v Speaker 6>manager and they're like, hey, so it's gonna snow. You
<v Speaker 6>guys sold out of shovels, and the manager's always like, yeah,
<v Speaker 6>we sold out early today and snowblowers have been moving
<v Speaker 6>pretty well and we don't have a whole lot of
<v Speaker 6>salt left, like yeah, no shit, Like like what what
<v Speaker 6>do you think the manager is going to say? Every year?
<v Speaker 6>And then you're in the news anchors, or you hear
<v Speaker 6>from your public officials, your governors, you're whoever they're talking about, Well,
<v Speaker 6>stay home if you if you have to, don't go.
<v Speaker 6>The roads are going to be hazardous. Yet like it's
<v Speaker 6>the most common sense, elementary, like obvious advice that anyone
<v Speaker 6>could give, and they're give it to the same people
<v Speaker 6>multiple times a year all the time. And you might say, well,
<v Speaker 6>clearly they need it. Well, no, here's the thing. If
<v Speaker 6>you go out and you get in an accident, that's
<v Speaker 6>on you. Those people weed themselves out and slip off
<v Speaker 6>the road or crash, and that's their fault, right, you
<v Speaker 6>can't stop that. Nature has a way of what's they
<v Speaker 6>called like natural selection, no pun intended. So I just
<v Speaker 6>the same things happen every year, as if we've never
<v Speaker 6>experienced snow ever in our lives. And I live in
<v Speaker 6>upstate New York, we average I think sixty to seventy
<v Speaker 6>inches of snow a year here, and every year you
<v Speaker 6>hear the same crap from our news stations. It's comical.
<v Speaker 6>It's comical, and they push this out as actual news
<v Speaker 6>reporting to talk to people who are pumping gas and
<v Speaker 6>at a grocery store. You're not going to be trapped
<v Speaker 6>in your home. You don't live in Siberia, right, you
<v Speaker 6>live in modern America. You live in the modern world.
<v Speaker 6>Even if you don't live in America, you live in
<v Speaker 6>the modern world. You have you have a heated house, right,
<v Speaker 6>you have a home that has heat either, even if
<v Speaker 6>the power goes out, I mean, the power usually isn't
<v Speaker 6>out for more than like a day at worst case.
<v Speaker 6>I mean, it's just I know I'm simplifying this and
<v Speaker 6>some of you are like, well what about this, and
<v Speaker 6>that like the vast majority of snowstorms all across the
<v Speaker 6>North America, at least in the United States, some of
<v Speaker 6>them are big, some of them are small, but we've
<v Speaker 6>dealt with hundreds and hundreds of them through our lives.
<v Speaker 6>And yes, be safe, I mean absolutely, yes. If we
<v Speaker 6>need to stay home, we stay home, right, we do.
<v Speaker 6>I mean, it's it's crazy it's crazy. I'm venting my
<v Speaker 6>frustration about news reports on snow because it's stupid. I mean,
<v Speaker 6>I don't mind them reporting on it. And you know,
<v Speaker 6>you always have someone out in the field and they
<v Speaker 6>have a ruler with them, you know. Ah, God, all right,
<v Speaker 6>we'll get to that Joe Hendry report in a moment.
<v Speaker 6>Let's see. I don't know if we have anything else.
<v Speaker 6>We do actually have another voicemail coming though, We'll have
<v Speaker 6>to get to that momentarily. But as is tradition, we
<v Speaker 6>can uh just go right to the DJ Kuzmo Joe
<v Speaker 6>Hendry Report.
<v Speaker 4>This is DJ Coosmo back at it again on your
<v Speaker 4>Mailbax show record.
<v Speaker 3>You live on a Wednesday board, and you know what
<v Speaker 3>time it is.
<v Speaker 7>It's time to see his.
<v Speaker 3>Name, Man Heppeers. I believe in Joe Hendry. I believe
<v Speaker 3>in Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 4>That's right, folks, Joe Hendry is his name. As I
<v Speaker 4>take it to episode eighty of the George Report, L
<v Speaker 4>like always come it to you live from an undisclosed location,
<v Speaker 4>and like always, before I talk about Jo Hendri, let
<v Speaker 4>me talk to you about the continue aberrations with the
<v Speaker 4>NICs invasion in TNA. However, this past episode of TD
<v Speaker 4>Pressling was more than just a continued starline of the
<v Speaker 4>NXD invasion in DNA. This past episode of TD Pressling
<v Speaker 4>was a groundbreaking new era moment due to the partnership
<v Speaker 4>with TNA and AMC that every Thursday that TNA Press
<v Speaker 4>League will be live and to kick off the ushering
<v Speaker 4>of a new era in TNA. This episode starts off
<v Speaker 4>with the og TNA legend himself, the phenomenal Aj Styles.
<v Speaker 4>AJ Styles gets on the microphone as he hypes the
<v Speaker 4>crowd by saying TNA is bigger, badder, and bolder than.
<v Speaker 3>Ever on AMC.
<v Speaker 4>Aj Styles calls the crowd the Tenna Nation and he
<v Speaker 4>tells them to keep the energy high throughout the show,
<v Speaker 4>and then he led a chant in TNA, TNA, TNA.
<v Speaker 4>And by the way, we did not get an appearance
<v Speaker 4>of Gunther, So don't you worry, folks, because this was
<v Speaker 4>all about AJ Styles ushering a new in TNA with
<v Speaker 4>TNA on AMC. However, there was a brief moment during
<v Speaker 4>this episode of Tina p Wrestling of Aj Styles interrupt
<v Speaker 4>things the self proclaimed King of TNA, mister Frankie Kazirian
<v Speaker 4>as he was eyeing Frankie's TNA World title with a smile.
<v Speaker 4>Was that a tease of aj styles pursuing the TNA
<v Speaker 4>World Championship for one final time before he.
<v Speaker 3>Retires in twenty d twenty six.
<v Speaker 7>I like those possibilities and hopefully that will happen.
<v Speaker 4>Now to the Director of Authority, mister Santina Morella, as
<v Speaker 4>he seems to be in good spirits, even though he
<v Speaker 4>still feels hurt that his own daughter Ariana Grace betrayed
<v Speaker 4>him several weeks ago. However, since TNA is on AMC,
<v Speaker 4>Santino says that he cannot afford to make any mistakes and.
<v Speaker 3>Doing what needs to be done for the benefit of.
<v Speaker 7>TNA on AMC, Santino had to call on someone.
<v Speaker 4>New to take charge to do the day to day
<v Speaker 4>operations of TNA.
<v Speaker 3>With him and this new authority.
<v Speaker 4>Figure that Santina Morella introduced it was none other Dan
<v Speaker 4>Daria Ray, also known if you remember her from w
<v Speaker 4>W she was known as Sonya Deville.
<v Speaker 7>Now she is called the suit.
<v Speaker 4>Dario Ray comes to the ring and gives Santino a
<v Speaker 4>couple of compliments, but Dan Dun Dun Dum Daria says
<v Speaker 4>the one thing this company doesn't need.
<v Speaker 7>A Santina Morella.
<v Speaker 4>Daria throws shade on Santino's family due to the current
<v Speaker 4>crisis that he is having with his daughter, Ariana Grace.
<v Speaker 4>Daria goes on to say that TNA needs structure, discipline,
<v Speaker 4>and professionalism, and she declares that she will be the
<v Speaker 4>one to bring those three things to TNA. And speaking
<v Speaker 4>of bringing something to TNA, Daria introduces a new TNA
<v Speaker 4>signee to the Woman's Knockout Division, and that is Elania Black,
<v Speaker 4>formerly known in NXT as Cora Jade, now to the
<v Speaker 4>NX Outlaws. We get a quick backstage segment of Ariana
<v Speaker 4>Grace and Stacks as Ariana Grace revealed that she was
<v Speaker 4>indeed the mastermind behind the NXD Outlaw invading TNA, and
<v Speaker 4>I have to say.
<v Speaker 7>Well, duh, I mentioned a couple of.
<v Speaker 4>Weeks ago on the mail bag that Ariana Grace could
<v Speaker 4>be the mastermind behind the NXT invasion. Anyway, Ariana continues
<v Speaker 4>on by saying that Stax, her future husband, will handle
<v Speaker 4>anyone that her father throws at Stax and his TENA
<v Speaker 4>International Championship. Now, I want to get to two match
<v Speaker 4>car changes in regards to Teenage Genesis. The first one
<v Speaker 4>is regarding the X Division Champion in Leon Slater, and
<v Speaker 4>the second one is in regard to Dana Luna. And
<v Speaker 4>the very bizarre sequence is that both of these match
<v Speaker 4>cards the changes was because of some sort of visa issue.
<v Speaker 4>Let's get to the first development, and that is due
<v Speaker 4>to Leon Slater having an issue with his visa, he
<v Speaker 4>won't be able to wrestle at Teenage Genesis against Cedric
<v Speaker 4>Alexander for the X Division Championship. However, mister Santina Morella
<v Speaker 4>assures Cedric Alexander that he will get a title shot
<v Speaker 4>against Leon Slater on a later date. But at TEENA
<v Speaker 4>Genesis there will be a triple threat match including Cedric
<v Speaker 4>Alexander and two other opponents.
<v Speaker 7>The first opponent is Moose.
<v Speaker 4>And the other opponent is none other than my guy,
<v Speaker 4>Joe Hendry. As soon as Santino said his name, Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 7>Popped it up on Cedric's phone.
<v Speaker 4>Now, the second visa issue coincidence was that of Dana
<v Speaker 4>Luna not being able to wrestle at TNA Genesis against
<v Speaker 4>the current Knockout Champion and Lee Ying Lee formerly known
<v Speaker 4>in w WE as Zaia Lee Lee said that she's
<v Speaker 4>a fighting champion, so she issued an open challenge for
<v Speaker 4>TNA Genesis.
<v Speaker 3>But then we get the appearance of.
<v Speaker 4>Sol Roka and Zaria from NXT. However, sol Roca volunteered
<v Speaker 4>for Zaria to get that top, so it will be
<v Speaker 4>Zaria signing the contract to make the match official that
<v Speaker 4>at TENA Genesis it will be Lee Yinglee versus Zaria
<v Speaker 4>for the TNA Knockouts title NXT versus TNA. But just
<v Speaker 4>when you thought that the show was over, we now
<v Speaker 4>fast forward to the main event for the TEENA World
<v Speaker 4>title of Frankie Gazarian the champion versus the challenger in
<v Speaker 4>Mike Santana. This match lasted sixty minutes and fifty one seconds,
<v Speaker 4>as now we have a new TEENA World Champion in
<v Speaker 4>Mike Santana. After delivering a devastating spind the block discuit
<v Speaker 4>lariers to Frankie to get the victory, and like what
<v Speaker 4>I've been saying for several weeks, Mike Santana is now
<v Speaker 4>a two times TNA World Champion. As this episode of
<v Speaker 4>Tina Parrestling on AMC comes do an in as the
<v Speaker 4>crowd is chanting t NA t Ana well before I.
<v Speaker 3>Get to Teenage Genesis. This stare up me, folks.
<v Speaker 4>I know this is a very jamback episode of the
<v Speaker 4>Joe Hendriport.
<v Speaker 7>I want to.
<v Speaker 4>Quickly mention a surprise, a TNA surprise on the previous
<v Speaker 4>episode of Friday Night SmackDown from London, England, in which
<v Speaker 4>during Carmelo Hayes's open challenge United States Championship Man, Carmelo
<v Speaker 4>Hayeses' misschief opponent was London's hometown boy and current X
<v Speaker 4>Division champion.
<v Speaker 7>And Leon Slater.
<v Speaker 4>Yes, the same Leon Slater that had a visa issue
<v Speaker 4>he cannot compete at Teenage Genesis.
<v Speaker 3>He was the mischi opponent for.
<v Speaker 4>Carmelo Hayes for the United States Championship and this was
<v Speaker 4>Leon Slater's in rings SmackDown debut. This match lasted eleven
<v Speaker 4>minutes and forty four seconds, with Carmelo Hayes retaining the
<v Speaker 4>United States Championship after delivering a devastating cutter off the
<v Speaker 4>top turnbuckle to Leon Slater. That sequence looked absolutely nasty,
<v Speaker 4>but it was fun seeing Leon Slater on SmackDown. And
<v Speaker 4>hopefully this won't be the last time we see Leon
<v Speaker 4>Slater on SmackDown because wait, a minute. We are just
<v Speaker 4>one week away to the Rumble. Could Leon Slatter make
<v Speaker 4>an appearance at the World Rumble with the X Division Championship,
<v Speaker 4>let's see. And now let's get to Teenage Genesis from
<v Speaker 4>this past Saturday Saturday, Januus seventeen, live from Garland and Dallas, Texas.
<v Speaker 4>And before I get to the TEENA World Title Made event,
<v Speaker 4>which was actually a Texas Death Match, because of course
<v Speaker 4>you're in Texas, let me quickly mention some quick results
<v Speaker 4>for some of the matches that I was focusing on on.
<v Speaker 7>The pre show.
<v Speaker 4>We had Stax retained the TNA International title against Eric Young,
<v Speaker 4>Texas's own kJ Arso and a YouTuber slash IWC personality
<v Speaker 4>in Mister b d E. Now, we also had in
<v Speaker 4>the Knockouts Championship of Teena's Lee Yng Lee versus NX
<v Speaker 4>Zaria Lee retained the TNA Knockouts title. Then we had
<v Speaker 4>in the AUR aforementioned triple threat match that featured Cedric,
<v Speaker 4>Alexander Moose and Joe Hendry, most specifically Joe Hendry of NXT.
<v Speaker 7>Not Gonna lie.
<v Speaker 4>It's kind of weird to say nx's Joe Hendry since
<v Speaker 4>he's been in Tena for a couple of years, but
<v Speaker 4>at the person time, Joe Hendry would get the victory
<v Speaker 4>after delivering a standing over chuck slam to Serji Alexander.
<v Speaker 4>Now we arrive at the main event, a Texas deathmatch
<v Speaker 4>of the champion, Mike Santana versus the challenger, the self
<v Speaker 4>proclaimed King of TNA, mister Frankie Kazarian.
<v Speaker 7>But hold on a minute by order.
<v Speaker 4>Of the new TNA authority figure. This is Dario ray
<v Speaker 4>Aka's Sonya Deville. She invited Nick Namick, formerly known as
<v Speaker 4>Dolf Ziggler, the current holder of the Call Your Shot Trophy,
<v Speaker 4>to be the special guest referee. This match lasted nineteen
<v Speaker 4>minutes and thirteen seconds, as once again Mike Santana would
<v Speaker 4>get the victory over Frankie Gazarian after delivering to Spin
<v Speaker 4>the Block Discuit Larius to retain the teen Airworld title.
<v Speaker 4>But then we got some postmatch shenanigans after when Nick
<v Speaker 4>Nemet raised Santana's arm in victory, Nema quickly goes for
<v Speaker 4>the danger Zone finisher to Mike Santana. Nick Nemet wants
<v Speaker 4>to cash in his Call Your Shot trophy, but there
<v Speaker 4>was no ref at the moment to make the match official.
<v Speaker 4>While Nick Nema is waiting for a referee to arrive,
<v Speaker 4>Mike Santana is to spin the block Larry on Nick
<v Speaker 4>Nemet as TNA Genesis comes to an end with Mike
<v Speaker 4>Santana still your TENA World Champion. But back to Joe
<v Speaker 4>Hendry and his brief cameo at ten A Genesis. But
<v Speaker 4>if you always remember this, folks, if you remember to
<v Speaker 4>say his name, he might just randomly up here and
<v Speaker 4>he appeared last not of NXT. We get the appearance
<v Speaker 4>of Joe Hendry in a brief backstage segment featuring Robert
<v Speaker 4>Stone and a young hot shot group called the Vanity
<v Speaker 4>Project that consists of Ricky Smokes, Brad Baylor, and the
<v Speaker 4>WWE Evolf champion Jackson Drake. We first see the Vanity
<v Speaker 4>Project backstage chatting with two female blondes. Then we get
<v Speaker 4>the appearance of Robert Stone, who informs Jackson Drake that
<v Speaker 4>he spoke to the general manager of NXT, Missus Avarain,
<v Speaker 4>and that next week Jackson Drake will be in a
<v Speaker 4>NXD Championship qualifying match against say his name, Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 4>Robert Stone said his name, and he appeared. Joe Henry
<v Speaker 4>randomly appeared right next to Ricky Smokes as apparently Joe
<v Speaker 4>must have teleported because originally there was a female blond
<v Speaker 4>right next to Ricky Smoke. Joe Hendry says, here in NXT,
<v Speaker 4>when you say his name, he appears and tells Vanny
<v Speaker 4>the project. You'll get used to it, guys, You'll get
<v Speaker 4>used to it. Joe goes on to say that he
<v Speaker 4>wants to get his hands on Tony DiAngelo to get
<v Speaker 4>some answers from last week. However, Joe Hendry switches his
<v Speaker 4>focus to the qualifying match next week by saying I
<v Speaker 4>am not gonna turn down the opportunity to be in
<v Speaker 4>that ladder match compete for the NXT Championship. Then Joe
<v Speaker 4>points to Jackson Drake by saying I'll see you next week. Meanwhile,
<v Speaker 4>Jackson Drake is confused by saying where did Joe come from?
<v Speaker 4>And Ricky Smokes is confused by asking where did the
<v Speaker 4>female blonde go? Ricky then asks the question did I
<v Speaker 4>kiss Joe Hendry? Did I kiss Joe Hendry? But back
<v Speaker 4>to Joe Hendry and its official. Next week on NXT,
<v Speaker 4>it will be Joe Hendry versus Jackson Drake in an
<v Speaker 4>NXT Championship qualifying man. And always remember this, folks, if
<v Speaker 4>you continue to save their name in THEA Hill and
<v Speaker 4>Joe Hendry, they just might randomly appear.
<v Speaker 3>Always remember to believe, say his name.
<v Speaker 4>Always remember the words that Joe Hendry says anytime, any place,
<v Speaker 4>at any show, and most simplely, most simporly, always remember,
<v Speaker 4>due to this.
<v Speaker 3>Strong sight science, well believe.
<v Speaker 7>To Hendry.
<v Speaker 4>Us once again, this is your guy. DJ Couzmo, have
<v Speaker 4>a blessed week, be kid to one of the stays
<v Speaker 4>in my friends.
<v Speaker 3>Believe and peace.
<v Speaker 7>All right, TJ.
<v Speaker 6>Good stuff. It seems like Joe Hendry is backtracking to
<v Speaker 6>NXT chase, chasing the NXT Championship, and uh, that's yeah,
<v Speaker 6>that's that's cool. That's cool. I mean, I just perhaps
<v Speaker 6>they just don't have a creative plan for him moving forward.
<v Speaker 6>They just don't have something solid for him and on
<v Speaker 6>the main roster. I'm not following what they're doing. I
<v Speaker 6>don't know why they have him in and out out
<v Speaker 6>and in and in and out, and he appears to
<v Speaker 6>the Rumble and then he's a Brandy's opponent of Wrestlemaniam
<v Speaker 6>Blanded out and now, like I want them to just
<v Speaker 6>go forward, but clearly they have other plans or feeling
<v Speaker 6>he's not ready yet, which they know apparently better than
<v Speaker 6>we do. But he's still having a great time in NXT,
<v Speaker 6>still kind of figuring himself out right, He's still kind
<v Speaker 6>of figuring out who and what he is, how he
<v Speaker 6>wants to connect with the audience. I do think as
<v Speaker 6>fun as his music is and as fun as it
<v Speaker 6>is to say his name and he appears and that's
<v Speaker 6>all really that is good stuff, it needs to be
<v Speaker 6>deeper than that. He needs to find another connection, a
<v Speaker 6>different way, not just kind of your same old type
<v Speaker 6>of connection, same old way. Say it will get old quickly,
<v Speaker 6>but I think that eventually, yeah, he'll appear. I mean,
<v Speaker 6>the days of having NXT where they just feed talent
<v Speaker 6>to the main roster has seemingly stopped. And it could
<v Speaker 6>be totally just oblivious to this, and you know, you're
<v Speaker 6>more in tune, and there's are more in tune with
<v Speaker 6>NXT's farming system and retention and pushing up to the
<v Speaker 6>main roster who they maybe want to move up and
<v Speaker 6>all the rest. But it feels like they aren't just
<v Speaker 6>the NXT doesn't feel like a just a very very
<v Speaker 6>much a pass through a pit stop on the way
<v Speaker 6>to the main roster, and it still kind of is,
<v Speaker 6>at least that's the way that it was designed. But
<v Speaker 6>NXT is truly kind of its own third brand now
<v Speaker 6>just living by itself. And Obafemi, who has seemingly outgrown
<v Speaker 6>an XT, I would think, is going to be having
<v Speaker 6>his official debut on the main roster during the rumble.
<v Speaker 6>He'll be a really fun entrant. He felt like he belonged.
<v Speaker 6>He's ready for the main roster. He had a great presence,
<v Speaker 6>so I would think he's ready. But I thought that
<v Speaker 6>with Joe Hendry and here we are multiple years later.
<v Speaker 6>So for me, Obafemi, which is not a revelation to anyone,
<v Speaker 6>is probably the next big call up to have a
<v Speaker 6>mainstay on the roster, not these little one offs that
<v Speaker 6>WWE seems to keep doing. So thank you, DJ, stay
<v Speaker 6>safe in the snow, and let's get to I think
<v Speaker 6>one of the voicemail see.
<v Speaker 2>Who it is.
<v Speaker 5>He's Kaffa Botimaro. It's been a while, but I wanted
<v Speaker 5>to talk about the situation with Becky and Maxine. Why
<v Speaker 5>is it still going on? How this is it. I'm
<v Speaker 5>sick of them going back and forth with each other.
<v Speaker 5>That is thing with Italia attacking vaccine. I'm not only
<v Speaker 5>about interested in that at all. I'd rather them to
<v Speaker 5>move on. And I think they are going to now
<v Speaker 5>this thing with Rock San and Live being a tag
<v Speaker 5>team going out after Ria and being able to afford
<v Speaker 5>to that. But I'm watching this, I'm thinking to myself,
<v Speaker 5>the four of these women are single stars. But there
<v Speaker 5>I enjoyed. I joined them as a team. I joined
<v Speaker 5>them as singles wrestlers. I did the same thing can
<v Speaker 5>be said with Alexa and I don't care about Charlotte,
<v Speaker 5>but I mean they're I like Alexa more, but there
<v Speaker 5>are single stars at the end of the day. I
<v Speaker 5>know I trying to create this narrative that there's a
<v Speaker 5>tag team division. Yet the women's Championship is being held
<v Speaker 5>held hotted unfortunately from for STEPHARDI because she's hurt and
<v Speaker 5>Jada champions are working for me at all. So I
<v Speaker 5>just feel bad that Becky is not really doing what's
<v Speaker 5>going to be her role as the Icy Champion. If
<v Speaker 5>are they gonna wait till the role rumble for a
<v Speaker 5>j Lee, I don't know, so lat day, I said there,
<v Speaker 5>but it's not like the Boomer's division on both Friends,
<v Speaker 5>a kind of in I'm holding pattern because the majority
<v Speaker 5>of these women are in an attack team and who
<v Speaker 5>should be single stars scoring after single singles gold or
<v Speaker 5>just personal issues between each other because of a grudge feud.
<v Speaker 5>But I don't know. This whole attacking narrative is really weird.
<v Speaker 5>But I'm glad to get an opportunity to do something.
<v Speaker 5>But it's a bizarre because somebody's women should be single stars.
<v Speaker 5>But that's aught to say.
<v Speaker 6>They start all with that, KYLEI, yeah, it has been
<v Speaker 6>a while. I hope you're doing well, good stuff, and
<v Speaker 6>yes you do have a lot there. I'm gonna try
<v Speaker 6>to cherry pick a few things or if I can
<v Speaker 6>remember it all great, but let me go with what
<v Speaker 6>you got. First of all, Jade is champion. Yes, that's
<v Speaker 6>not working for me either, and I think it's nobody
<v Speaker 6>can look at this objectively and go, wow, this has
<v Speaker 6>been really this has been great for Jade. What a success.
<v Speaker 6>And she hasn't been championing that long, but she hasn't
<v Speaker 6>grown as a champion, you know. She feels just kind
<v Speaker 6>of like a she feels like somebody holding a belt
<v Speaker 6>that's trying to that. WWE is trying to have the
<v Speaker 6>belt make her instead of having her make the belt.
<v Speaker 6>And you know where I stand on that philosophy. I'm
<v Speaker 6>complete opposite when it comes to when someone should have
<v Speaker 6>a championship and when they shouldn't. But Jade doesn't feel
<v Speaker 6>like a champion. She looks like one, but doesn't feel
<v Speaker 6>like one. They don't trust her to cut promos. I've
<v Speaker 6>been all over that, and yeah, so Jade is not
<v Speaker 6>working and it's just it's it's they aren't doing anything
<v Speaker 6>to try to expand her or they're afraid, I think
<v Speaker 6>more than anything, they are they're afraid that she if
<v Speaker 6>they give her more maybe to expand her vocabulary and
<v Speaker 6>her promos, that she's just gonna she's gonna be embarrassment
<v Speaker 6>on TV and you know what she could be. But
<v Speaker 6>you got to try at some point or take the
<v Speaker 6>belt offer. You just have to. It does feel like
<v Speaker 6>the women's divisions, like the women's just the women as
<v Speaker 6>a whole in the company do feel like they're on
<v Speaker 6>a holding pattern. And to be fair, they have the
<v Speaker 6>Royal Rum will coming up, which I think will reset
<v Speaker 6>a lot of things. And put different puzzle pieces into
<v Speaker 6>place that will make more sense moving forward for the
<v Speaker 6>elimination Chamber and eventually WrestleMania, because I believe and I
<v Speaker 6>think I covered this last time. The only two pls
<v Speaker 6>after the Rumble, I think are Chamber and WrestleMania. I
<v Speaker 6>don't think we have a Saturday Night Man event. Inside
<v Speaker 6>of those those events, there's no roadblock or any kind
<v Speaker 6>of weird thing. There's roadblock, but I think it's NXT.
<v Speaker 6>There's no actual weird pit stop, which is like unheard
<v Speaker 6>of under this administration. So we'll see if they change
<v Speaker 6>their minds. They very well may, but that means they've
<v Speaker 6>got a lot of time to build for each event
<v Speaker 6>Chamber and and especially WrestleMania. I think Chamber to WrestleMania
<v Speaker 6>is like six weeks, So we'll see. But back to
<v Speaker 6>your point with Becky and Maxine, it does feel a
<v Speaker 6>little bit long in the tooth and you're growing a
<v Speaker 6>little impatient. Well, the idea is here to build Maxine
<v Speaker 6>as a star and see what the fans truly feel
<v Speaker 6>for her, to see where how deep the support runs
<v Speaker 6>for Maxine. Unfortunately, I don't think the fans support is
<v Speaker 6>as deep or as strong as they had hoped, because
<v Speaker 6>otherwise she would still be champion. That doesn't mean she
<v Speaker 6>needs to go back to NXT, doesn't need to mean
<v Speaker 6>she needs to get fired. It just means that she
<v Speaker 6>is not quite exactly where we thought she was, and
<v Speaker 6>that's fine. You got to kind of see where things
<v Speaker 6>are at. Take the temperature by having her hold about,
<v Speaker 6>push a little bit more, give her some more airtime,
<v Speaker 6>a little bit more character development, see where things go
<v Speaker 6>and so far. I think despite all of that, it's
<v Speaker 6>weird to say. It feels like an oxymoron that I'm
<v Speaker 6>going to completely negat everything I just said, But it
<v Speaker 6>also feels a success because where she was to where
<v Speaker 6>she is now is still a success. Even if she's
<v Speaker 6>not as high as we kind of thought she was
<v Speaker 6>and got pushed down a peg or so, she's still
<v Speaker 6>at a level that is. It's promising for the future
<v Speaker 6>for Maxine and having now Natalia being put into the mix,
<v Speaker 6>having her turn heel, I think is a nice wrinkle.
<v Speaker 6>That doesn't mean, though, that you're going to have Natalia
<v Speaker 6>versus Maxine versus Becky in a triple threat of some
<v Speaker 6>sort of the icy title. I think Becky Lynch is
<v Speaker 6>moving on.
<v Speaker 5>I do.
<v Speaker 6>I could be wrong and we have Natty versus Maxine
<v Speaker 6>versus Becky for the Icy title. I hope not because
<v Speaker 6>also then there's two heels and one lukewarm baby face
<v Speaker 6>in the match, not too exciting. I think it's going
<v Speaker 6>to just be Maxine versus Natalia and in some kind
<v Speaker 6>of grudge match moving forward, and they have a nice
<v Speaker 6>little rivalry and that'll be fine for Maxine. Title less
<v Speaker 6>pressure working with a grizzled vet. I'm sure she's getting
<v Speaker 6>a lot of behind the scenes actual help from Natalia
<v Speaker 6>and the n ring portion of the psychology that pacing
<v Speaker 6>everything else. How can you not learn from that? Natty
<v Speaker 6>Wright and having an Italia turn heels also a nice
<v Speaker 6>little wrinkle in things because when's the last time Natalia
<v Speaker 6>did anything that was interesting at all? So I'm excited
<v Speaker 6>for her because she's actually in some kind of story
<v Speaker 6>that is probably going to be on just a one
<v Speaker 6>off and that's good. So while I kind of criticized,
<v Speaker 6>or I don't even criticism, more of just an observation
<v Speaker 6>of Maxine and where she's at in her career, taking
<v Speaker 6>a step back not as champion is not a bad thing. Also,
<v Speaker 6>Becky Lynch is objectively a bigger star. You're going to
<v Speaker 6>have Becky Lynch going into WrestleMania, likely as Intercontinental champion.
<v Speaker 6>I mean, I guess you could run back Maxine at
<v Speaker 6>a few months, but is that really where you want
<v Speaker 6>to go? I mean maybe maybe not well not to
<v Speaker 6>see where Maxine is, but I think they're done for
<v Speaker 6>the time being. All Right, that'll do it, everybody. Thank
