So, Uh, there's a lot of sort of non sports topics today. So this is one of those if you're a stick to sports person. I don't think any of them are really political, so you don't have to turn it off if you can't handle that. But I think otherwise it's gonna be kind of a little bit looser than most days. This is kind of like old Matt and Drew just doing a podcast.

So earlier this week on Monday, Ryan had a medical procedure. He does not want to get into what it was, and I will respect that, but uh, it's you know, of some significance, and he's going to be out for a little while. I don't know how long, at least through Memorial Day, could be longer than that. You know, I want to respect his his privacy on it, and he is as much as he's a goofball on this show, he's kind of he can be a private person on things, and so I'm going to do so we want to do that. What I would like to say to the audience is, you know, we all we all love Ryan. I mean, you are you know, the three of us. You know, he's like our brother. And to those of you listening, it's it's very I know you feel that way, even if you don't know him. So I hope everyone will just today or tonight just say.

Speaker 4: In the Median. On one of the busiest roads in Lexington. But that wouldn't need to happen if they would put in a sidewalk. And the reason they don't have a sidewalk, I'm sure is all these rich people live out it's idle hour and they probably don't want a sidewalk. But you know what, get over it. This is this, we should have a sidewalk. And you know, the median is huge in Louisville, Shannon, there are streets that put the sidewalk in the media, like least Eastern Parkway does. Yeah, they have sidewalks. Louisville is a very walkable Lexington is not. And then I realized people were like, well they don't have a sidewalk. Uh on some other roads, Winchester. I think all those roads, all those major roads with towns.

The combine is going on the we're basically watching I would say in the combine two people Drew when you say we're watching Malachi and then uh, mom Silovich, because Malachi to see if he he's gonna come back, and Mom Sylvia is to see if he's gonna enter the draft, and then we would have a CH's not be in the draft and we'd have a chance to uh uh get to getey. Malchi apparently's been doing very well. There are people now projecting him in the first round, but I haven't. I still am under the assumption he is going to return. You said yesterday, that's how you felt it would be. Still feel that way as the combine wraps up.

Speaker 5: If you look at the guys that are projected nineteen to thirty five, A lot of them can still go back to college. And he said, if they all go back to college, all of a sudden, there's gonna be guys who were projected to go fortieth or fiftieth who are going to go in.

Speaker 5: So because of that, if you're a guy like Malaki, to me, it makes sense for him to come back. But if all of a sudden, everyone else drops out of the draft.

So I think when you're looking at these mock drafts, one of the things you need to see is how many people slated ahead of Malakai have the ability to return to college, and then how many will I think, if you want Malachi to return to college, you want everyone to stay in the draft, absolutely right.

It's what's made college basketball better is these French draft picks come back, but it's leaving it to where this French first round, second round. A lot of guys aren't going to stay around for that, especially now at this stage in the game where you know how desperate teams are. You can go back to some of these schools and your number could be a lot different because they know they're against the wall and have to find bodies.

But he also has an agent with the job to do. So it would not surprise me at all if that agent's calling UK and saying, hey, circumstances have changed a little bit, what can we do about it? And that I wouldn't put that all on Malachai. But I mean, we can't expect him to just be on the cheap because he's from right down the road. I mean he's he's a you know, a high prospector that's got a guy that an agent that has to go out there and get the best for him.

But Malick has a guy who if he was going to go twenty fourth, he literally could go in the top ten next year with a big year. So I do think that like, that's a more of an incentive maybe for him to come back than it is Alan Graves or Mom Silovitch, who probably have you know what, Yaxell's going to be a top twelve pick. Him coming back made financial sense. He won a title Amy rows in the draft, but not everybody has that happened, so we'll have to wait and see.
