Speaker 1: Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours, Golden Hour. Thanks so much for joining us today, Kat. What's been going on?

00:00:14
Speaker 2: You know we're out of the deep freeze around here. I got to put my plants back outside. All well with the world, no more, no more ice hair.

00:00:21
Speaker 1: If I put a plant outside, it would shrivel.

00:00:25
Speaker 2: Today. That's where we live in Texas. But you heard that little giggle. That is our guest today. She is so special. Please please welcome from season ten of Paradise, Susie Evans. Hi, Susie, and welcome to Golden Hour.

00:00:39
Speaker 3: You look Thank you, girls.

00:00:43
Speaker 2: You always look amazing, always look amazing.

00:00:46
Speaker 3: So do you guys. Before we before we started, I was literally saying, you guys keep getting hotter. What are you doing you guys?

00:00:54
Speaker 1: Every day?

00:00:54
Speaker 2: Yeah? Really, you know. I just get up and curl my hair every morning.

00:01:00
Speaker 1: You look fab I love it and your smile is worth a million dollars. So you and you're in a happy place.

00:01:07
Speaker 3: I'm taking this.

00:01:08
Speaker 2: Yes, we got a lot, got a lot. Let's get into it. Let's get going all right.

00:01:13
Speaker 3: Let's get right into it.

00:01:14
Speaker 1: So we have been seeing you more and more on red carpets and hosting interviews I know she's interviewed us Kathy several times. Is that something you've always wanted to pursue.

00:01:28
Speaker 3: I think so, I didn't really know if I was ever capable of it. I feel like that's one thing that getting into this space, it's kind of pushed me to test my boundaries, test my limits. But I've always liked the idea of doing something like that. But I've I'm not super in the know of pop culture. I feel like that's one thing where I don't feel super confident. Like if I see a celebrity, I'll be like, oh, I know their Facebook, I don't know their name, I don't know what they're from. I just know that they're cool and I should ask them a few questions. So that is one area where I've never I never knew if I would actually be like equipped to ask questions and ask interviews but or do interviews. But I think it's more just about being curious. And so, yeah, it's been really fun to kind of step into red carpet interviews. I got to chat with you guys at the Golden Brunch a few months ago.

00:02:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and.

00:02:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just it's been really fun and definitely tested my limits, Like I've made a lot of mistakes, but it's been fun.

00:02:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, we all do. We all make so you always look so beautiful, And I say that to you every time I see you. You're always dressed to kill. You always look fabulous. But I'm curious, because you are a major influencer at this point, how do you decide which brands you want to partner with? And are there times you've actually said no to a brand?

00:02:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, there have been. There have been a few brands that there's actually been brands that I've worked with, And then as I've used the product more, I realize, like, oh, I actually don't love this product as much as I thought I would. Because sometimes a brand deal will come your way and at the end of the day, it's marketing and you're like, okay, Like, if it's just brand awareness, I don't have to as long as I don't have to come out and say this is my favorite you know under ice cream, or this is my absolute favorite x Y and Z. I use it every day, Like I am not in the business of lying or making claims that aren't accurate. But if it's just like, hey, you need to create a video about this product, I'm pretty open minded as long as it doesn't go against something that I believe in or stand for. But yeah, there's definitely been a few things I feel like, uh, and there's literally no shade to anybody that does promote it because I actually think GLP ones have one. They have changed people's lives and people's lives that have that are close to me. But it is not something that I feel like I can come out and say, like, I want to promote this on my page because I'm not using it or I haven't used it.

00:03:54
Speaker 2: So, Susie, is one thing, Susie, if you used to GLP one, you would be low. We wouldn't be able to see you. So thankfully, thankfully you're not doing that.

00:04:06
Speaker 3: Well, thank you.

00:04:07
Speaker 2: But I feel like, right, no, I oh, I don't have a what's your favorite collaboration collaboration?

00:04:14
Speaker 3: Okay, I love I have too, Zenny optical and ipsy, and I work with them so regularly. I feel like those are two things that you just you can't They're not controversial in any way. I'm like, it's glasses. I literally have born glasses since I was like.

00:04:31
Speaker 2: Eighteen years old. Hello, that's easy.

00:04:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's an easy one. I love working with them and that My favorite thing about both those brands is that they continuously say to me. They're like, we love that you're creative, and they don't give me any kind of box to put me in. They're like, we trust you do something fun, like we want it to be different. So whenever I work with Ipsey, it's like a makeup subscription brand. I just come up with the craziest ideas and they're like, we love it, give us more, and then they read book. So those are like my two favorite brands because they just want me to do what I love to do. It just be creative and have fun with it.

00:05:07
Speaker 1: And we both know we all know that you do stay authentic on social media, thank you, but while doing so and navigating criticism that comes with all this, how do you navigate that?

00:05:22
Speaker 3: How do you deal it's heard? I think it gets better with time. I think that's something I've learned, and I think also you guys probably have felt this as well. Like one day people can love you, the next day those same people can hate you, and you'll open up. I've opened up messages from people that are so nasty, and I'll scroll up and like two months ago, they're saying, like, I love you so much. Yeah, and it's like it is so and it just it makes you realize though that people are we are imperfect. Humans are imperfect, and you can't take it too personal. And I'm like, well, thank god I'm not dating that person, you know, thank god I'm not in a relationship or have a friendship with them, because if my friends talk to me like that, I wouldn't be friends with Yeah.

00:06:03
Speaker 2: I just I don't get it. The same thing happens to me, and I'm like, you loved me two weeks ago and now you hate me, and I don't get it. I really don't. I guess they just, you know, have very unhappy lives. But the fans that you have, all of us loved you on reality TV again, we did. We interviewed Hakeema while back you were on season ten of Paradise. I was there, missed you. You left before I got there, But fans love you on reality TV. So two part question, would you return to reality TV? And if so, what would your dream show be? Something with me?

00:06:42
Speaker 3: I hope, Oh my gosh, literally I would return to reality TV. I don't think. I hope. I don't have a need to go back on a dating show ever again. I hope, I hope I'm good, you know, I hope. I just find that I am and I don't need to wait.

00:07:01
Speaker 2: Hold on, I got to interject you. That sounds like you're dating somewhere.

00:07:06
Speaker 3: Yes, I'm dating somebody.

00:07:10
Speaker 2: I know.

00:07:11
Speaker 3: Yeah. I met a really nice guy.

00:07:12
Speaker 2: He's so does he have me? Does he have an uncle or a father for me?

00:07:17
Speaker 3: So his dad is happily married. I'll ask, I'll ask him.

00:07:22
Speaker 1: I him details, though, How did you meet? How long ago?

00:07:27
Speaker 3: I met him just before the holidays, like at the end of November. We met and he's yeah, he's so cute. I have to tell the story. I've told it. I think I've told it on my YouTube channel. But I was at an ugly Christmas sweater party and we had plans to meet up and go do Top golf afterwards. But I didn't really like think it through. So I was like in this ugly Christmas sweater dress with a big lama on the front and little kitten heels, and I'm like driving to Top Golf and then I'm like, oh my god, I didn't bring anything to change into like I'm an ugly sweater and heels, and so I text him or call him and I'm like I don't I'm like, should we not do top golf? And he's like, no, it's fine, Like, don't worry about it. And when I show up, he had put on an ugly Christmas sweater to join me. Cute, I know, like he's just really cute and sweet and thoughtful. He's a great guy.

00:08:19
Speaker 2: What does he do? No need wait, I want to know what does he do? How old does he? I want?

00:08:23
Speaker 1: What does he look like?

00:08:25
Speaker 2: Come on?

00:08:25
Speaker 3: Oh, he's so handsome. He's an attorney and he's a little bit older than me. And yeah, he's so he's so cute. He's just like very handsome and sweet. You would look at him and be like, oh my gosh, he's like he looks like just like a cutie pie.

00:08:42
Speaker 2: You know, how did you meet him?

00:08:44
Speaker 1: Was it a side were you set up? Did you meet him out at the fruit aisle and the grocery store.

00:08:51
Speaker 3: It's it's actually a crazy story, but to keep it short and sweet, Basically, I was on a date with another guy and no, and this is a and then that guy ditched me and I slid into this guy's DMS. Well it was on hinge. I slid into his DMS and I was like, hey, you want to meet for a drink? I just got ditched on a date.

00:09:15
Speaker 2: I'm sorry, go back. You were out in the date with another guy. He did he dropped, you ditched you whatever, wait to and then you reached into this guy's damn stay this again. Explain this to me. I'm old.

00:09:27
Speaker 3: Okay, it's actually so crazy. It's a it's a long story, but basically, the first guy left, I reached out to the guy that I've been dating, and I hadn't been dating him at the time, but it was my first time just being like, hey, do you want to meet for a drink? And then the first guy comes back and I had already invited the guy the other guy to come meet me, and so now I have two guys coming to meet me, and I'm like, oh my gosh, Like what do I do? So I canceled on the guy that I've been seeing. I don't want to give his name yet, but I will just call him Cutie because I feel like all my friends call him cutie, and then his name because he's so cute. But I canceled on cutie, and I was like, I'm so sorry, Like, I know, I just invited you out for a drink. But the guy I was on a date with ditched me, and he just called me and said he's coming back, so you can't come anymore. And so basically this sounds.

00:10:23
Speaker 2: Like your own little bachelorette shows.

00:10:27
Speaker 3: I know a lot of my friends have been like, you should have made them both come and fight.

00:10:30
Speaker 2: Real wait a minute, so the guy was not. So the guy that you're dating was not pissed off that you know.

00:10:39
Speaker 3: He was, so he was like, honestly, I love that you were just honest about it, and you just told me that you were like on a date with somebody. Because I originally just asked him for a drink. I didn't tell him. I got date ditched. And so then when the guy came back or he texted me said I'm four minutes away, I was like, oh my gosh, like I already invited somebody else. You know you told him that too. No, I didn't tell him. I didn't tell him. I just like that guy. I it was a weird environment. I probably will figure out a way to go into details without like exposing this person too much. But basically I was like, it was a it was a weird situation, and I didn't see him ever again.

00:11:17
Speaker 2: The guy that ditched you that then showed up. How many dates had you had with him?

00:11:21
Speaker 1: That was my first date with him, and he literally said good bye, I'm leaving, I'm not interested, and then decided to come back.

00:11:28
Speaker 3: So he didn't say he was. He said he just left. It was like a weird thing, like I don't want to it was weird, but he didn't say he wasn't interested. He actually said he was interested, and he felt bad, but he was like, I just have to leave right now. I'm so sorry. It's like it felt like one of those things when your friend calls and you're like you text your friend like get me out of here, and it's like, hey, I gotta go.

00:11:49
Speaker 2: Out, or or he had a drug daily he had to compleat right or my thought was.

00:11:53
Speaker 3: That maybe had his wife called.

00:11:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, a big kids up at the boy Scout meeting.

00:12:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a wild ride of a night. So that night I came home and I cold facetimed the cutie from the dating app because I was like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, send me your number. I have to explain. So I cold face timed him, and of course at that point, I had had like three martinis that night, and I was like, that's hot.

00:12:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, I bet you were smiling up a storm.

00:12:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. It was very funny. Yeah, it was a really fun It's like a funny way that we met each other. So but yeah, I was the first one to DM him on the app, and then I was the first one to ask him out, and then I also facetimed him. So I was excited to meet this guy, go.

00:12:44
Speaker 2: Get her and you've been together since.

00:12:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, we've been going out on dates and seeing each other. He's great.

00:12:51
Speaker 2: And I assume he lives close to you or somewhere in LA.

00:12:54
Speaker 3: He lives kind of. He's actually a little bit further, but he is technically in LA. Yeah, but he's like in the South Bay area.

00:13:02
Speaker 2: Okay.

00:13:03
Speaker 1: Was he close to your age?

00:13:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a little older than me, but we're close in age.

00:13:08
Speaker 1: Nice. I told the truth, and I think that would turn me on too, that what you just just told us. I think that's a great story, I really do.

00:13:17
Speaker 3: It was very funny. So so yeah, it was a good a good way to meet.

00:13:23
Speaker 2: Okay, So I have to ask you a question, because you and I have had many conversations over time. Are you and Justin friends anymore?

00:13:33
Speaker 1: Well?

00:13:33
Speaker 3: I think we really respect each other. We know that we have love for each other, but we do not keep up with each other just because I think I don't think we could. I think it was too hard. It's too hard. Yeah, it's too hard, and and I think it's it's we are that way because we care so much about each other, and I think it would just be complicated and painful. And yeah, but we were both rooting each other on from a distance, for sure.

00:14:00
Speaker 2: I didn't mean to bring you down. I just last time I saw you, we were talking about that. So you know, hopefully someday you guys can be friends. And I'm sure.

00:14:09
Speaker 1: They wish each other the best, right. We just want him to be happy, he does you?

00:14:13
Speaker 2: Wow? Yeah, cutie lawyer, well, cuty lawyer and Justin will become the best of friends.

00:14:20
Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll be great friends.

00:14:22
Speaker 1: Judy has never been married before.

00:14:23
Speaker 3: Right, No, he hasn't.

00:14:26
Speaker 2: This sounds so good. Well, listen, I'd like to continue with this interview, but you need to hang up and see where his father is for me. That's kidding, I'm sure not.

00:14:45
Speaker 1: Let's let's talk about your thoughts on fertility, including whether egg freezing has entered your mind or talk to me.

00:14:56
Speaker 3: Yes, wow, okay, yes, oh yeah. I I actually love this. So I actually planned to get my eggs frozen last September, and I was working with a clinic that was brand new, and then there was just a lot of there was like a non compete with the doctor and it just kept getting pushed back because she was starting her own clinic and it was just like a lot of like pushback, pushback, pushback. But I went through the original like blood work and the internal ultrasound where they checked for follicles and stuff like that. So I started the process last year and then it got pushed back. I actually switched who I'm doing it through, and so I'm going to be going through a company in Chicago, and I just signed my patient paperwork last Friday, so I will be doing egg freezing. I am so excited. I feel like that is something if you're I'm thirty two, I'll be thirty three this year. I want kids. I hope that I won't have to use the eggs that I'm freezing. But it's just like good security. And also it takes a lot of pressure off of yeah, figuring out time right right, Yeah, the timeline, it's like, yeah, I want and I want to figure out who it's with. Like there is still pressure and all the for me, but it takes a lot of the urgency off of it. So I'm such a proponent of it. I've been thinking about doing it since I was twenty seven, but I'm pretty I'm a pretty queasy person and i get pretty nervous about medical stuff. So yeah, it's a big decision and I'm finally it's finally happening, and I'm excited.

00:16:33
Speaker 2: Well, you know, we were just talking earlier about men that have you know, they can think about getting married in their forties and marry somebody younger, and we just really have that issue of you've got a planet. As much as I hate to say that, you you're doing the right thing. You want to have the possibility of children and you want to take some of the stress off.

00:16:55
Speaker 1: So I think it's a plenty of time left. But I like the idea of in the Black Up Plan because they're your eggs.

00:17:02
Speaker 2: Right right, so you know any I'm sorry, sorry.

00:17:06
Speaker 1: Do you know people that have done it that you know personally?

00:17:10
Speaker 3: Actually I do. I know a lot of girls that have done it, and uh, I've I've had a couple of really good conversations and I think a lot of times it just takes it just takes the pressure off. And I think we've seen now more than ever. And I love it, like I love I don't love it. I don't love the people are getting divorced, but I love that women are like secure, We make our own money, we have our own opportunities now where I feel like thirty forty years ago, we it was just different times and you had to rely on it. I mean, I don't think women could have credit cards, and I mean it was like late in the game until women could have credit cards. I want to get a dated, but I'm like, it's it's been It's not like it's not it's been not that long since women have been able to or except to be out on your own. And I love that that's we are empowered to do that. And I'm like, no one should stay in an unhealthy relationship, no one should be staying in anything that doesn't serve them. So I love that aspect of where we are at. But that also puts a lot of or it takes off a lot of pressure on us to settled out with the wrong person. And I think that's something where now I'm like, I make my own money, Like I'm very comfortable, I love my life, and I don't want to be with somebody unless we're both bringing mutual adding too great stuff to adding exactly, and we should both feel that way. So yeah, it does push the clock back though, and my biology hasn't changed.

00:18:37
Speaker 2: So I love that. I love that, Susie, what you just said. I think so many young people today and from where Susan and I said, you're young, but you know, it's it's knowing that you walk independently by yourself, make your own money, make your own decisions, and you're looking for a partner somebody to walk with you, not ahead of you, not you know, not yeah behind you walk hand in hand. And I love that that women in your generation really have the option to do that because they formulated careers, they've they've put themselves first. So yeah, you.

00:19:14
Speaker 1: Going back to cut if you don't mind. Did he know who you were, so he.

00:19:25
Speaker 3: He had an inkling. I think he was like, I didn't have my social media linked. Yeah, but I didn't have my last name or my social media linked. I think his mom watched The Bachelor, but not my season, or I think his mom actually watched the season I was on, not that not Paradise, but my original Bachelor season, but he hadn't seen it, so he didn't have like full context. But he did ask me pretty early on. He was like, are you from the Bachelor World? I am? Yeah, So I think he had an inkling and kind of knew, but but yeah, he hadn't he didn't see my season, so which is kind of good. But we've actually gone back and watched a few things together, like he watched my hometown date and he watched uh, I think my intro package. But he hasn't seen the full season. But it was kind of fun to watch it with him. I love that. But yeah, I love that.

00:20:20
Speaker 2: So obviously is he from I know he lives in la Is he from the la Era? Because you're from Virginia, right, Yeah, so you would you like to stay in la or do you see yourself when you start a family moving or not?

00:20:34
Speaker 3: I think stay in LA. I think it's always kind of been dependent on who I meet and who I end up with. I think that my life is very flexible. I don't know that there's a lot for me in Virginia where I'm from. I love going home. I love seeing my family, and that's the hardest part about being in LA is that I'm so far from family. I love them all, but there isn't a lot for me as far as my career.

00:20:58
Speaker 2: Where in Virginia, Susie, are you from.

00:21:00
Speaker 3: I'm from a small town, but it's it's about an hour from Virginia Beach ah Okay, so it's kind of a coastal like coastal area.

00:21:09
Speaker 1: I love it beautiful, like an hour North Carolina or.

00:21:13
Speaker 3: North yeah, North yeah, but pretty close to North Carolina. It's like it's very similar to that region where it's a lot of like marshland, a lot of fishermen and stuff like that. Yeah, it is. It's a beautiful place to grow up and it would be a great place to raise children, to be honest, But I don't know. I think I'm a city girl.

00:21:30
Speaker 1: You're so La I am, which is so funny.

00:21:34
Speaker 3: I was so against moving here. I thought it would be like a New York girl. But can you imagine me in New York?

00:21:39
Speaker 1: I would be like you fit California.

00:21:43
Speaker 3: I don't know.

00:21:43
Speaker 2: You could be in New York too, you you can? You know, yeah, New York. It's it's style, it's all style. Looks a little different. You could you frankly, socuse, you could plant yourself anywhere and be fabulous.

00:21:54
Speaker 1: Really absolutely absolutely, All right, let's talk about future. Is there anything that you haven't shared with publicly that you're excited about, Any projects or personal or professional that you'd like to share with us? What have you been thinking?

00:22:10
Speaker 3: So, as you guys mentioned, I've been doing more hosting and interviews and things like that. I really hope that this year I can continue in that direction.

00:22:20
Speaker 2: Are you saying doing more online or more in person?

00:22:23
Speaker 3: I think both. I think it's I think I'm thinking like hosting carpets interviews. I think also, I mean I auditioned for a hosting role for a show a few months ago, and the show didn't get picked up, unfortunately, But I was moving in that direction for a couple months. But the show hasn't found a network, so unfortunately, I don't know that it's going to work out that. But even just going through that and having that momentum.

00:22:57
Speaker 1: The experience of interviewing and that confidence because you've done it and once you do it a few times, you're gonna you know exactly.

00:23:05
Speaker 3: So that felt like a really great career trajectory where I was like, Oh, why am I not pursuing this anyways? Like I could go back on reality TV, and I would. I would so go back on like a fun game show, but I also would be so down just to host a show and be the person that's bringing people in and leading the you know, the progression of whatever the show is. So I'm really open minded and I might just try to go, Yeah, I feel like it's I mean, you guys are killing it doing this and this is the kind of stuff interviewing and creating this environment and being curious, Like I feel like that's how we set ourselves up to do that.

00:23:41
Speaker 2: So I think you hit the nail on the head. It's been curious, want to know about people wanting to learn more, and then it just flows naturally. But when you get that show, I'm going to be your co host.

00:23:52
Speaker 3: Oh I put us in. Can you imagine you were.

00:23:55
Speaker 1: Such a natural interviewing us. I know you just went on down the lad it was us glowing up.

00:24:03
Speaker 3: Thanks guys.

00:24:10
Speaker 1: So what else? What do you want to tell us that we don't know about you?

00:24:14
Speaker 3: What else? I've been doing a lot more YouTube. I think that's also been really fun for me, just like sitting down talking to the camera. I'm doing a book club. If you guys want to join. We're starting a new book.

00:24:27
Speaker 2: Watch the book.

00:24:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, when I think it's oh, you know what, we were debating between two let me look, I've got it right here. We were debating between two different books. We just read best Offer Wins. Have you guys read that one? No, it was the best seller.

00:24:44
Speaker 1: Winds okay, your best offer.

00:24:46
Speaker 3: Yeah. It was a psychological thriller, but it really didn't become that till the end. And I really at first was like, oh, I relate to this girl. She's like getting her eggs frozen, she's trying to buy a house, and then in the end she literally is truly crazy. And I was like, yeah, like I really related to her way too much. But our next book is The Future Saints. It's like, I think it's like a romance about an aspiring musician. Yeah, so I think it'll be fun.

00:25:19
Speaker 2: All right, Well we'll have to get get We did that offline and say, because I love to read, I'm a big.

00:25:25
Speaker 3: Oh my god, you should join the book club.

00:25:27
Speaker 2: I will, I will, Okay, okay. So I want to know a little advice before give a little advice to women before we let you go here. What advice do you have for women that is single right now?

00:25:42
Speaker 3: I would say I would say be proactive. I think a lot of people say, oh, you find it when you're not looking for it, and I think that's so true. I think I think that happens for people. But honestly, when I was like in November, I was really proactively dating. I was being the first person to reach out. I was like open minded. I went out on a date from a matchmaker reached out to me and was like, hey, I have a client. I think you'd be great. I was so open minded and just putting myself out there. And I don't have time to sit around and chitchat on the apps. And that's one thing I feel like a lot of my friends and it's to no one's fault, Like you want to see if there's a connection, but if you don't ask me out in the first like three or four exchanges, I'm probably gonna move on because somebody else will or I will. Like that's what I did that night that I met the QT. I was like just shooting my shot. So I kind of feel like, don't be afraid to be proactive, especially like it's not that I'm like, I'm thirty two, I'm getting this job done, but that's kind of how I feel. I was like, I'm taking I'm taking all the things that I apply to my work ethic, my businesses, like everything that I've done for literal work, I applied to dating. And I was like, I am literally going to take this into my own hands and ask the guy out that I want to meet, and like, shoot, my shot was out on a date with somebody else.

00:27:01
Speaker 2: He left me.

00:27:02
Speaker 3: Okay, another date.

00:27:04
Speaker 1: Well wait, I want Kathy. What you're saying, Kathy would never make the first move, right, We've talked about that.

00:27:13
Speaker 3: Oh you like to because you like to be pursued as that.

00:27:15
Speaker 2: Well no, it's just listen, we're in different stages of life. I mean, uh, and we could talk about this on another podcast. But I may or may not have had too many cocktails last week with my daughter and she go toed Me and my daughter who's married, go tod me and she goes, mom, you're so pretty, you're so fun. You need to get back on the dating apps. I said. My daughter's name is Kaitlyn. I said, Kaitlyn, I'd rather stab myself in the eyes. But after, you know, she just put you know, I did it, and and I have not been disappointed. It's a lot of old men holding up dead fish, and you know they're just I keep saying they're old. They're not, you know, they're not the guys that I want to date.

00:27:56
Speaker 1: So Susan's right, is you as if if you saw somebody that you thought you'd like to meet, ask him out.

00:28:06
Speaker 2: Well, I saw one guy who I would like to meet. Unfortunately he's in Louisiana.

00:28:12
Speaker 3: Hey, Louisiana sounds nice right about I. But the weather's great.

00:28:18
Speaker 1: She's in Austin. Remember it's nice there too.

00:28:20
Speaker 3: Oh true, you've got good weather too at the sixties in there in Austin.

00:28:25
Speaker 2: It's sixties. Yeah, it's gonna be seventies by the end of the weekend. So you know, I how about this one?

00:28:30
Speaker 1: Susie what would you tell someone who's going on the Bachelor for the very first time.

00:28:37
Speaker 3: I would say, be one hundred percent yourself because people are going to love you and they're going to hate you regardless, So you may as well as loved and hated for being yourself rather than something else. And I think I think all of us on this call probably did that. I think all of us were like truly ourselves. All of us have experience hate, we've experienced love, and I think I would just be so sick to my stomach if I did something or acted a certain way that wasn't too even on Paradise, I hate. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not resentful, but I'm like, I hate that I went home. You know what's embarrassing is I had three full sized suitcases packed and I was there for one day. I was there for one day. I was so annoyed. I was like, I want and people are like, you could have stayed. You could have said yes, which is true, but I don't think it would have been in my character to stay like I and I obviously I thought it was gonna go deaf, but I thought Lexi would get to stay if I didn't so just like you know it was, but it was me. It was like I was true to myself. Yeah, And I was okay with going home because I was like, you know what, I came here to give this a shot, and it's like, obviously not gonna it's not working out for me, So I'm going to leave And I can live with that. But if I had, if I had accepted the Rose, I think I would have felt terrible for Lexi and I would have been sick about it the whole time I was there, would have been sick the whole time.

00:30:01
Speaker 2: And Susie, if you'd accepted the Roads and Cutie would be he'd be in like the distance future somewhere you wouldn't have met you, so I.

00:30:10
Speaker 3: Know exactly, or he could have met somebody else, you know.

00:30:13
Speaker 2: That's right. I can't wait to meet Cutie. What about you, Susan.

00:30:16
Speaker 1: I want to know what kind of dates you've been on.

00:30:19
Speaker 3: He plans really cute dates because we met around like Christmas time we did the top golf. He came on a Christmas sweater which was so cute. Cut It was so cute and funny, and one night he got like peppermint schnobs and then we had hot chocolate and we went to a really cute neighborhood in his area where they everyone walks around to look at the Christmas lights, like every house is decorated. So we walked around and we went to the Magic Castle. Have you guys done that now? Oh my gosh, Okay, it's it's Do you know what it is?

00:30:54
Speaker 2: No?

00:30:55
Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I didn't know either. And people that live in la I think that it's known everywhere, but it's a literal castle in Hollywood and it's members only, so you have to either be a magician or know a magician, or know somebody who is a member of this club. And that's the only way that you can get in. And there's all of these different rooms and stages and it is some of the most incredible magic that you will experience literally in your life.

00:31:24
Speaker 2: Like, I, is he a member?

00:31:27
Speaker 3: Such a No, he's not a member. But actually I hired a magician at my Christmas party to surprise my friends, and that magician got us into the Magic Castle. So we've been on a double date to the Magic Castle and yeah, he's yeah, he's together, yet he's me actually, oh yeah, we've done a few of those. He's a good cook.

00:31:51
Speaker 2: Have you traveled with them yet?

00:31:53
Speaker 3: No, we haven't. We haven't traveled or done anything like that yet.

00:31:57
Speaker 1: Have you met his family.

00:31:59
Speaker 3: I did meet his family, and they're amazed.

00:32:01
Speaker 1: That's big, exactly big.

00:32:03
Speaker 3: Yeah, they're such good people, like just like it made so much sense too. Like one of the first things he said to me, which was such a green flag, he was like, honestly, the best part about me is my friends and family, Like they're the best people. And I was like, that's such a green flag for someone to say that. And then I've met a lot of his friends and family and they are like, literally the best people. They're such like kind, welcoming, good humans.

00:32:29
Speaker 2: Wow, I'm telling you, it's so so many people. The once it got together on Paradise, and then since Paradise, so many of you people have met these really important people that you're really yeah that you're so happy. It's just so great to hear us. I'm so happy for you. You deserve everything, Susie, You deserve the best.

00:32:50
Speaker 1: Do you have any questions for us?

00:32:55
Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, what advice do you have for me? As somebody who feels like who I feel like? I've met a really great person. What advice would you have as I like start this new journey.

00:33:05
Speaker 1: I'd say, move forward, keep smiling. You said green flag. I heard that there's no red flags that you're.

00:33:12
Speaker 2: Seeing, but there will be. There's there's Oh, it's going to be. Nobody's perfect. I would say exactly what Susan's saying. He's not perfect. You're not perfect, but just enjoy the ride, see where it takes you. Sometimes, you know, Susie, it's meeting the right person at the right time, and maybe this is your time and your person. So yeah, yeah, that's my last.

00:33:32
Speaker 1: Yesterday down relationships, all of it, and now it's it's not work. You're just enjoying and that's what it's about exactly.

00:33:41
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:33:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, we're coming to sus We're going out to LA to meet him. Yeah.

00:33:46
Speaker 3: I was gonna say, when are you guys back in LA. That's my other question. I want to want to hang out.

00:33:52
Speaker 2: I'm going to be in Carmel, you know, oh fun, but not in l An.

00:33:57
Speaker 1: We're going to be I'll be in La. Oh February twenty six.

00:34:04
Speaker 3: Okay, I'll put it on my calendar. We should do a fun video or something.
