Good friends, It's Goodtimes weekend. Bye Hey, Brye Friday, Hoppy Times Weekend, Papashy Happy Balon Times, Buppy Gus. Valentine's President's Day weekend has begun, and what's all this buzz and rage about Ilia Mallinin. Dude just fell I could do that. He's the quad God. I could do that. I could fall on ice skates. Quad God says, who have you seen spot our video producer spots quads. My goodness, that dude has bulletproof leg Quadzilla. I'm Covino, that is Rich, Sam is here, superducer Danny g and oh yeah, just for Valentine's weekend, Manzi's here. Yeah, let's talk out Covino and Rich eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. That's the number. And even better, you could tell Rich what a doc is. I mean, you could chat with all of us. Rich has the live chat up. You could kill his confidence right now, I'm fragile. You could say hello and chime in and talk smash and make friends. Covino and Rich FSR on YouTube at Covino and Rich FSR on YouTube. I'm so happy to be here because last twenty four hours has been doodoo pie, doodo pie. Bro, what happened. I'll tell you what happened. I got out of my car after yesterday's show and I was served a big slice, a deep slice of doodo pie. There's two places every man keeps his cell phone. Yeah, number one place under the beanback right when he's driving. That's where it goes true right true. And then every once in a while you're like, ah, they can't be safe, so you put it on your lap. Sometimes sometimes you just put it on your lap you driving charging the phone. I never do that. I put in my cup holder sometimes the cup I get it unless I got a cup. But I was like gathering my things and I had it on my lap, and right when I got out, my phone just went flying off my lap, but not anywhere far. What is that? Two feet three feet from the car to the floor. 00:02:21 Speaker 2: Brand new phone, dude, by slide, brand new new, and it hit right at the edge and it didn't crack, but the whole screen broke. 00:02:31 Speaker 1: So the glass didn't break, but the inside is mouthfungnying have Apple care. It just has those lines. No Apple care because I'm a careless man, I guess. And now this brand new phone is a total waste. But you know what, it made me realize rich And this ties into sports, it ties into everything. Most of your life ninety percent of your life just goes through the phone. And I'm stating the obvious. But I feel like freaking Charles Ingalls the past twenty four hours. And for those of you who don't know, that's a little house on the prairie. Canos on the Prairie's funny this morning, churned his butter for his bagel. I feel like, I mean the old times, dude. I'm sitting there like I'm on the turlet, just looking around. I'm like, this life has to be better than this. I had no dude wipes. My phone is broken. 00:03:20 Speaker 3: He took a tumble from your lap to the floor and it got that messed up, falling. 00:03:25 Speaker 1: No no cracks, no scuffs, no scratches, defective. Yeah, I'm effective. Listen to uh to sports analogy. Sometimes someone could take the biggest hit ever they get right back up and sometimes one little cut. 00:03:41 Speaker 4: You get hit in the perfect spot. 00:03:42 Speaker 1: It's the button said that. It's like, you know, when George Foreman hit Michael Moore right in the face. He didn't hit him with all that much power, but boom, right in the spot. And maybe it's just hit the right spot or the wrong spot, and he never hits the right spot. From what I hear, Yeah, just my luck. Tell you what and I'll tell you I have no idea for the most part, what's going on in the world, what's going on in sports? Even though there's not a whole lot. You know, I'm ready for the show, relaxed. But most of our life are updates everything social media and anything you want to check verification still goes back to the phone, so you still can't sign into anything anything work related, any social media. Like my friends and family are like, what happened to him? Is he all right? Kavino went to get the newspaper this morning. Yeh, seriously, everybody's worried about me. Goy let me give you the update. Chris Paul retired, they have not found Guthrie's mom yet, and C and All Traders a new episode last night was great Traders mine, I've never seen it. And the weakest part of all there's no way to community if you're a parent, right, Like I had to drop my kid off at school this morning, and I'm like, oh, hey, I'm gonna pick up after school. But uh so you're there. Yeah, Like there's no community. Better be there, be there, meet me here, Okay, you mean like every every Now that's not how things call me on the payphone, right, call me? Where is their pay phone? 00:05:05 Speaker 2: Sam? 00:05:06 Speaker 1: I couldn't get it sham today because i'm bank airport. You have to enter with your little gym pass on your phone. Everything goes back to the phone. Everything. 00:05:14 Speaker 3: You might be scrambling now, but a day from now, if this is still going, you'll be free. You'll be like, I'm free, you know, I'm free. 00:05:20 Speaker 1: I'm trying to appreciate the liberation, the freedom, but I don't know, man, It's it's in the panic anxiety state right now. I'm in that stage. And it's also like such a reminder and how dependent we are, yes, and and reality realization of how dependent we are and how gross it is on the phone. And it's a reminder to live life again. And maybe it starts this weekend with your loved ones, with your Valentine, go out for a nice dinner or don't, because we're going to talk about that and more right here on the Cavino and Rich Show. So, in other words, Fox Sports Radio Nation, if you sent us a tweet, if you hit me up on Instagram, any thing, I haven't seen it. I'm sorry I've been I've been laying there looking at the see. 00:06:04 Speaker 4: If what's worse. 00:06:05 Speaker 3: I think losing your wallet or purse or your phone. I think we're losing your phone is worse because you can you need your phone to go cancel all your credit cards. 00:06:13 Speaker 1: Like little Cavino on the Prairie. So I tried to hit up the Genius bar today in these genie I couldn't even fit me until seven o'clock tonight. So then it's a matter of do I try to get a new phone, or do I try to fix it for like. 00:06:26 Speaker 4: Three hundred bucks? 00:06:28 Speaker 1: Robbery? How long have you had it? I just got it. It's got to be defective. I feel like you could. Yeah, so I could probably return there like a seven day Like I don't know period. 00:06:37 Speaker 4: You should bring Saul Goodman along with you. 00:06:39 Speaker 1: You need a good lawyer. I'm a lawyer. Little Steve on the Prairie, I'll go with you, Steve on the Prayer. You know what I love about the Apple Store because I have old Apple products, so, you know, not try to be mean, but you go in there and there's like a sense of like, oh, we're so much smarter than you, all right, genius. They're standing around. You're like, can you help me with my phone? And like do you have an appointment? 00:07:01 Speaker 2: You're like do you have this? 00:07:01 Speaker 1: Like five of you and it's like the two in the afternoon. No one can help me now. Really, no one could help me right now. I couldn't even call Rich to go over the show today, like I had to use my girlfriend's phone. Yeah. It's the weakest. Everything about it stinks. And again I'm stating the obvious, but until you live through it, you forget how dependent you are. Every little thing, even paying like, oh I gotta bust out my credit card? What is this the eighteen hundreds? 00:07:25 Speaker 2: Ah, there was a pigeon on my patio with show notes. Seriously, I think you. 00:07:32 Speaker 1: You should listen to Sam. 00:07:33 Speaker 5: You should enjoy this because I think you're gonna. 00:07:36 Speaker 1: See a courier on horsebacks or deliver messages. 00:07:38 Speaker 5: You're gonna wish you didn't have anyone bothering you when it all comes back. 00:07:42 Speaker 1: Well, you know, let's get into the show. Let's man, I apologize you about your phone and uh, you know, fix it today. I'll tell you what Apple care. I didn't pay for that for a decade. I finally did, and my phone broke and I felt like a genius. At least have an excuse to when my girlfriend says, you didn't make reserv be like my phone broke. I couldn't. I don't know what happened. What do you want from me? Let's talk about Valentine. It's Talian Valentine's Day. Two yeah, next year, next year. We all know this, Danny. We talked about like a week ago, twenty twenty seven super bowls out here in Los Angeles, and it happens to land on Valentine's Day. Super Bowl Sunday. Ippy Valentine's Puppy is Sunday, February fourteenth, so I gotta ask you the question. We gonna have a bunch of Valentine's themed Super Bowl parties next year. Are there gonna be people that expect like, yeah, I know the super Bowl's on, but it's Valentine's Day, Or you're gonna have to show up with flowers and treats for your wife or your girlfriend and go bring dip to Someone's gonna be those saving Silverman type of girlfriends that make the man shoes like it's either me or the super Bowl, and that I think there will be that many because there's that's amization you with the wrong parsa. 00:08:55 Speaker 2: There's so many great female NFL fans nowadays. This might have been a problem like fifty years ago or something like that, but not nowadays. There might might change the desserts up a little bit rich that you set out at your party. 00:09:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, the decorations are going to be hearts football. It's gonna be a heart a football where I have to wear my sexy toonies at Rich's super Bowl do to show up. And that's got to show up a diaper with a bow and arrow. No, no, Danny, Mine's fruit by the foot, bro by the full. So that's really interesting, rich, and it brings up so many questions next year's super Bowl on Valentine's Day? Do you want my Valentine hypothetical? Or do you want to talk about I want to talk about judging a season, judging a season because I saw something interesting. Where's my phone? That? Well, where it works? Sorry, man, rub it in, we grab my phone. Well, there's a lot of a lot of buzz. Here's the buzz. Right, everybody has the post super Bowl, post NFL post football blues, and everyone's scammering around like what do I do now? Yeah, football is over because every little bit of our thought and energy when it comes to sports, for the most part, has been football, football, football. It's just the way. It's true. I said it yesterday, Monday, Thursday, Sunday, Sunday night College on Saturday, Like we really do you know that Syriach football dictate our weekly schedule? Then when it all goes away, you genuinely do feel like I got this odd amount of time online. I'll give you a holiday analogy. It's like the whole build up of the Christmas season, right, oh man, Christmas music, Christmas shopping, Christmas sweaters, Christmas Christmas, Christmas, and then Christmas comes, you open up all your presence. Yay, maybe you didn't get what you want, but it's the feeling of, man, all the build up and it's over. Now right down, and we sit here. The season's over, and not only is it over, you sit there with a feeling of that was anti climactic because unless you're a Seahawks fan, and that's no knock to our buddy Wes Dan Bayer, anybody who roots for the Seahawks, I get it. It was huge. You guys, congrats. Not trying to take away from the victory, but for any casual fan or anyone else following this season, it came down to, like those two teams and that was the game. You're left feeling like unfulfilled. Huh okay, but Cavino, is it the journey that matters? Yes, and I say that facetiously, but not because I saw a meme. Well that's the bus. Everybody's got. That feeling of that was weak, especially with the halftime show. All the complaints. Yeah, some people loved it, some people hated it. I saw a meme and it said, uh, man, we truly starving for an elite super Bowl next year, and it goes up with the last like handful of years, and you know, we could go along it together. If you want to go back to the last ten years. Denver and Carolina that was bad, New England and Atlanta. The twenty eight to three Brady comeback, historic Philadelphia Nick Foles the Phillies. 00:11:51 Speaker 3: Fats is the one that sticks out to me because of how high scoring it was. It was very exciting. 00:11:56 Speaker 1: Historic. You had two good ones back to back. Then you had a real stinker with New England against Goff and the Rams worst. That was a bad one. And then we all said I was there Niners Kansas City. That was Garoppolos, Niners against the Chiefs that were winning in the fourth quarter and then the Chiefs just took over. That was sort of a game, not just because my Niners lost. It wasn't a great game. It was mid Tampa and Kansas City. Unless you were just so pumped up that Brady won, that was a bad game. Mames had injuries. Who was offensive linemen, No, he couldn't be protected. 00:12:25 Speaker 4: He looked terrible. 00:12:26 Speaker 1: Rams versus the Bengals that was a good game. Then you had Kansas City in Philadelphia great game. You had Kansas City beating my Niners in overtime. Great game. But the last two years stink a Roos, Philadelphia dominating Kansas City, stink a Roo and then Seattle just dominating New England. So next year people are saying we're sort of do And I want to remind everyone when we were kiddos, when we were little chitlins, when we were growing up in the eighties or nineties. I assume we have a lot of people that are kids of the eighties and nineties. That's me, man. We had awful super Bowls for the most part, mixed in with you know, wide right, Bill's Giants, Joe Montana with the Drive against the Bengals Montana to tailor. Other than those two super Bowls, it was blowout, blowout, blowout, crappy game, blowout, blowout. We lived in a world where the Super Bowl was more of a hang because we never really expected a good game. You're a Super Bowl stunk, I would say. If you're kid of the like I said, eighties and nineties, let's say of those twenty years, you probably got fifteen stinkers, five good super Bowls. Okay, Now, with all that being said, The question is based on the feeling that everyone has right now. Do you judge a season based on a week super Bowl? Do you judge the season based on the week super Bowl? And I have a theory on this, and I'm going to current tied into something current aside from the super Bowl. I'm calling this my His and Hers theory. Have you guys seen His and Hers on Netflix yet? Yes? With John Burnfall love Him Man. In today's world of social distractions and short attention spans, I really can't watch anything, That's the truth. That's why I'm so dependent on my phone. I watched I'm looking at my phone. That's just how life is, right. People are hitting me up. I'm scrolling, scrolling, scrolling. But I watched this His and Her show that came highly recommended from Danny g and Rich and everybody else. And I like John Burenthal, good old Bernie, remember him, Shane from The Walking Dead? John Burenthal puns. He's in this thriller, this this murder mystery thriller on Netflix. And I'm like, ooh, ooh, and I'm like, I forgot about my phone. I'm actually into this ooh. And then the end happens and I'm like, what is this, scoopy dude, lay mass ending? You gotta be kidding me. I'm like, oh, what is this, scooby dude? This is dumb. I hated it, and then it dawned on me. Rich I was so mad about the ending. I'm like, but wait a second. It gave me eight hours or so, right, eight episodes about an hour each, eight hours of pure threat, really joy. And in today's world that might as well be eighty hours because nothing gets my attention span, nothing could capture my focus for more than three minutes. So I'm like, well, if it gave me all this joy for eight hours, and every night I came home like ooh, who isn't hers? Who did it? Yeah? And I was just disappointed for that three minutes at the end, then I consider that a success in today's world. So, based on my his and hers theory, it doesn't matter how it ends, it's the journey, it really is. Man had a great time. You know. I don't know if the same applies for divorces or anything. I was gonna say not to crutch on you know, relationship analogies, but how many times does the ending of a relationship make you forget that. You know, we didn't get married. It didn't end up the right way. But we did have a couple of fun years. We did. We had some cool vacations, we had good chemistry. She was a nice girl. Just we didn't get married. I mean, that's that's the good way to look at it. Yeah, but I'm saying I think if you judge everything based on how it culminates, but think about it, think about his and hers. I loved it until the very last minute of the show of the show, So how can I say I hated it when I you know, for ninety nine percent of the time, I was so into it. And that's pretty much the NFL football season for most people. Think think about Game of Thrones. For a lot of people, a lot of people, a lot of people were obsessed with Game of Thrones. Yeah, you're looking at it half empty instead a half forward, looking at it the wrong way. They rushed the last season, And yeah, I get it. If the football season brought us so much banter and so much joy and so much speculation, Man, it's anybody's season. We were so back and forth the entire season, so enthralled of whose season is it going? 00:16:37 Speaker 4: To be. 00:16:38 Speaker 1: He's right for it to come down to that and be a little anti climactic. Sure, but we have to look back and say, man, what an exciting up and down journey we had, and therefore success. 00:16:49 Speaker 2: I think we get frustrated with the script writers, and there's a lot of people out there that are like the script in the NFL. 00:16:55 Speaker 4: So it kind of applies. 00:16:57 Speaker 2: We watch those movies from time to time or shows TV shows where it starts out so good and in the middle it starts getting a little wobbly and then at the end it completely falls on its face. 00:17:08 Speaker 1: Show like, but it started out so bad, how come they couldn't maintain That's how I felt about that show. Rich kept talking about Newsroom right, notom Morning Showing, shorting show Man, that show is great, and then all of a sudden it just fell off. I agree, Morning Show a couple of seasons, and you know what it is. I've I've talked to people in that world a lot of times. When the show gets picked up, they don't have a plan beyond like a couple of seasons, and then if the show successful, they're like, all right, where do we go from here? And you could tell sometimes when a show is like, uh, we didn't plan for this exactly. 00:17:42 Speaker 4: It's like podcasts too. 00:17:44 Speaker 2: There's some athletes I won't say who, but the first couple of podcasts are really good. 00:17:49 Speaker 1: Oh they're bringing it. They're famous, great that star. 00:17:52 Speaker 2: Then but then they talk to their co host, to their producer and like, wait, we got to do this every week and they they run were every day, they run out of things. 00:17:59 Speaker 4: Really cool, It's hard. 00:18:01 Speaker 2: Yeah, you think it might be easy to do something on a continual basis on microphones. 00:18:06 Speaker 4: It is not. 00:18:06 Speaker 5: So. 00:18:06 Speaker 1: Yeah, we all live in a world where we're the critics. And you know what, social media and streaming service have really given us this fake sense of power, like we're king Jeoffrey. That's our theory. Here where entertain me? Or I'm switching you know either again, I'm gonna give this comedian three minutes. If he doesn't make me laugh, I'm gonna switch to another comedian. I'm gonna change the channel. I'm gonna go to another streaming service. I'm gonna go to Hulu. I'm gonna go to something else. Dare I say so? That being said, the NFL had our attention the entire season. Man, we can't complain just because it was a week super Bowl. Dare I say that? You could say the opposite sometimes, where a great postseason will erase a relatively boring season. I think the World Series this year was so good between the Dodgers and the Blue Jays. We're talking about a legendary, top level, top tier type of World Series Game seven Blue Jays or as almost won will Smith foot up and down away from from winning the World Series. It was unbelievable, big toe away. But that postseason up until then wasn't that great. It wasn't the greatest postseason the previous the previous, No, no, no, compared to the previous year. If I remember correctly, the World Series was so good that we forget that leading up to it. You know, I'm gonna look it up because it was I feel like we enoy watching the Mariners was great. He might be wrong, but his theory is still correct, like a great postseason World Series or a great Super Bowl can save a week season, right. The Dodgers swept the Brewers boring, okay, But Toronto beat the Mariners. That was good. That was fun. And then Dodgers beat the Phillies three to one. Yankees bad and that ended excited. That was I know it. It was three to one, but it wasn't. That was the error by the picture of everything, Yes, a little bit, not totally totally, But again the question is still here Fox Sports Radio Nation. Do you judge the season based on a week super Bowl? Do you judge the movie based on a weekending? Do you judge the series base based on a week ending? Do you judge your relationship just because it didn't work out at the end, you can just forget about the roller coaster along the way and we look back. Can you look back and say, oh, we broke up or got divorced or something went wrong, but you know, we had good times. I think that's a mature way to look at things. And that's the point here, Like, yeah, the Super Bowl was kind of weak. Commercials the weakest. No one's even talking about the commercial I feel like we had I thought this NFL season, some of the primetime games, there was a I feel like there was a point where every Sunday night, even Thursday night football was popping. Like we got some really good games. It just so happened that it wasn't the most eventful final game A boring defensive game between you know, and honestly, there were some injuries along the way. The Niners just got too decimated. The Broncos lost their starting quarterbacks. So to answer the question is I do not judge the season based on a week super Bowl, not at all. I don't absolutely not. It was what it was and like you said, it brings us back to our childhood of week super Bowls and Kavin and have a good hang. We had a fun hang. 00:21:25 Speaker 2: It was a. 00:21:27 Speaker 1: It was a whatever game halftime. Look, here's the proof. If you don't believe us, we talked, not we we the collective. We we We talked more about halftime than we talked about that game. That's true, and Cavi, you know, and I have one final theory before we move on and say goodbye football season, Hello Baseball, World, Baseball Classic, NBA, pitchers and catchers, I know, pitchers and cats. We have a theory that it's five days now. Have you still mad about bad money or Kid Rock or something. Let's move along. You're the problem. You're the problem of life. You're the problem. If you're still huffing and puffing on social media like kid Rock or man Money, or if you're arguing on either side of this stuff. Yo, it was a fifteen minute halftime five days later, because you know why, because the same media is like, I didn't understand damn thing. Same guy dancing a gangdam style, Same guy dancing a gangdam style to s Yeah, you have a problem with gangdom style. Last same guy singing to Pavaratti in Italian arena wasn't a problem. Well guess what macarena wasn't at the Super Bowl? Well guess what might have been lost Rio were not the number one artist in the world. But then I answer to that on the flip To call someone racist because they watch kid rock is also out of line. I'm just saying, if you're talking about it five days later, move along, go get some flowers. I'm bored. You know what the problem is? Everyone fight so much. You know, we're in the middle of a sextinction. I mentioned this yesterday. Did you see this article? No New York Post an article that Americans are in the middle of a sextinction. Can you guess what that is? 00:23:00 Speaker 5: Set We are running out of a sex or running no no like of a male female Like, isn't that what that you're talking about? 00:23:08 Speaker 1: This just take away the uh just we're running out of sex. Yes, one one out of three men have not been touched by a woman in a year, and one out of five women have not been touched by a man in the ear. It's rough. So we're talking about a lot of people that are like, you know, need to do a little more swiping, need to go to the coffee shop or bar. Swiping is the bad part. 00:23:31 Speaker 5: We just got to get out there meet They have to go out and actually have human interactions. 00:23:35 Speaker 1: And note the simple fact that if you have a group of ten buddies, one out of three, like let's say, have a room of your pals, think you're super Bowl party. If you had a party, one out of three guys at your super Bowl party hasn't been touched by a woman in the ear. Damn? What do we do? 00:23:50 Speaker 4: How it is? 00:23:50 Speaker 1: It's the hub, it's the problem. What if you brushed up against somebody, does that count? Yeah? Okay, the grocery st I think we know who the one in the three in this room is to make assumptions. We see the feedback and we see how the world buzz is on social media, and we know the vibe. Covin owners take a lot of pride on and staying on the pulse of the people, and the sentiment seems to be like man week ass super Bowl. Therefore weekass season. So we ask you Fox Sports Radio, do you judge this season based on a week super Bowl on a week ending And I originally had this theory. I remember where this theory came from. I remember there was a big movie that came out in twenty twenty three and it was called Leave the World Behind with Julia Roberts. Right, do you guys remember Leave the World Behind? Put it all the tesla's piled up, the world was ending. You got the post NFL blues. And you haven't seen this movie. I suggest you watched this weekend. But herschel al Lee was fantastic in that so leave the world behind. I thought it was fantastic, right, who else was in that not Kevin Bacon, someone else of that stature Ethan Hawk, Ethan Hawk and Julia Roberts. Ethan Hawk's the Man. The movie ran for two hours and eighteen minutes, right, we all watched, and I can't tell you how many people are like, yo, man, that ending sucked. I hated it. Therefore they hated the movie. And I'm like, hold up, hold up in a world of crappy movies, a bunch of stuff, nothing original, right, a bunch of remakes and nonsense. If this movie provided you with two hours and ten minutes of awesome, but you didn't like the last eight minutes, isn't that still a success? And that's how I feel about His and hers with the stupid Scooby Doo twist at the end, And that's how I feel about this season. This season was an overall success, especially for the Seahawks fans to celebrate they got their redemption. NFL was so in a Sam Donald story. The Sam Donald story is amazing, bro, that's a great story. So I never judge it on the weekending, appreciate the journey. The glass is half full. Enjoy your weekend. Listen, let me ask you this. Then, I've thought this before. This is ridiculous thinking. But hear me out for a second. There's only been one super Bowl in NFL history. Let's see if you know the answer. One super Bowl in NFL history where a team was winning in overtime but lost the game. Do you know who that is? 00:30:46 Speaker 4: Sen It your Niners? 00:30:49 Speaker 1: And Bingo was his name of Bingo, Bingo Bingo. So I had this thought once the forty nine ers a couple of years ago. That Super Bowl was in Las Vega, Stanio. Is there in the big roomba that your team plays in? Is that when you stepped on the power cord? Was that that year? Now? Oh that was in twenty thirteen when when the lights went out? Yeah, that was a ravens. I tripped over a court and never told anything. Rich cried afterwards in the Left Vegas early. Yeah, I drove through the desert, streaming out the heavens. Remember I had a flight in the morning, and I said, I can't wait. I rented a car at midnight and I drove home because I wanted to. I wanted to be away from everyone. I was miserable. I can't take it anymore. I I well, I just happen to look like a rental car place, and it's like one way rental car from Vegas to Los Angeles was like eighty bucks. I'm like, ef it, I'm out. I saw Chiefs fans in my mind chief Sands were doing the worm on craps tables. I was like, I hate it. I need a hug frommy You left that world behind, didn't you? Well? 00:31:51 Speaker 4: I did. 00:31:51 Speaker 1: Now Here's the question, though, based on Comito's theory, what if I just thought to myself the minute the forty nine ers kicked a field going over time and they were leading the game. What if in that moment, I said I'm done now I've seen enough, and the forty nine ers in my mind did ever they were winning in overtime with the Super Bowl. That's how I feel about ex girlfriends, like when they hit the wall, like it didn't really apply to me, like at least I have them when they looked good. I left just in time. But the reality, Comido is that forty nine er team that lost in overtime a couple of years ago. They gave me joy except for literally one second because they wanted a touchdown and overtime. So if you take that one second off the clock, the forty nine has brought me joy for the whole year. Yeah. Man, that's a really good loser to look at it. That's how I felt. No, No, it's it's the positive way. It's the half class full way to look at things. That's exactly how I felt about your Mets last season, not last season, season before the season before. What a magical season that was. Oh emah, Yeah, even in a losing season. Man, how much excitement they had, Peter Alonzo and Iglacis and Grimace and all the stupid gimmicks you guys had. What if you're a Blue Jays fan and you just imagine that Will Smith's foot never went back down, and you say, blue Jays had an incredible season. So that's just another way to look at it, guys. So now we move on. Now we shift our focus. Look, I'm wearing a Yankee hat today, a new one. You like this one? Manzi, I got a new I yanked more famous than a Yankee, can I do? 00:33:24 Speaker 4: Yeah? 00:33:25 Speaker 1: I got man, I got about seventy five Yankees heads. But anyway, I got a problem. Yeah, you have a hat rack in your closet. I have a closet with shelves and on the top tippity top shelf is all my hats, and I have a little like new Era carrying case, New Era committee of the stay fitted. You've see one of those, like TikTok or Instagram like, it's it's like almost like a long strip where your hat's click in like and you can make them. Yeah, but who has room for that? 00:33:52 Speaker 4: I don't. 00:33:53 Speaker 1: I have a, like I said, like a case where they're all in there neatly so it looks good. But anyway, that's the story. 00:34:00 Speaker 4: Guys. 00:34:00 Speaker 1: We'll take your feedback and your phone call. You know what else We're gonna play brainwave. Let's say had to David Vermont super quick. Don't go to Manzi for an update. Dave, what's on your mind? Buddy may Dave? 00:34:08 Speaker 2: Hey, what's going on? 00:34:09 Speaker 5: Happy Friday? 00:34:10 Speaker 1: Boys? 00:34:12 Speaker 2: Hey? 00:34:13 Speaker 4: Yeah, So Sopranos was kind of like that show, right, It's like one. 00:34:16 Speaker 1: Of the best shows I've ever seen. 00:34:17 Speaker 4: In my life. 00:34:18 Speaker 1: But then I had like a question all ending got a lot of hate on it. I personally liked it. I liked it too. Remember that that feeling Dave. Remember it was like don't stop and everyone's hitting their TV like, what's going on? What's going on? 00:34:30 Speaker 3: Same with Seinfeld. Like a lot of people didn't like the final episode. I thought it was actually really clever. How they ended it ticked a lot of people off, but it doesn't take away from how great that show was. 00:34:40 Speaker 1: Samuel from Iowa. If you want some complete redemption, if you're a big Seinfeld fan, the finale of Kirby Your Enthusiasm features Jerry Seinfeld and they make up for the whole thing if you If you don't know what I'm talking about, I've not seen that. Honestly. They addressed the whole jail thing in Seinfeld and it's fantastic, Like redemption to the fullest. 00:35:00 Speaker 3: I don't need it doesn't need to be redeemed for I liked how they brought back all the people they interacted with over the years they had. 00:35:05 Speaker 1: Testify against them. I like the Sopranos ending as well. Sam You can't always have a happy ending. 00:35:10 Speaker 3: Sometimes it has to be going to heard one out of three guys haven't been touched, all right, let's go to Monzi. 00:35:18 Speaker 5: Hey, oh guys, why don't we start with the NBA because I'm very sad to tell you that Chris Paul is officially retiring. Are we surprised? No, the Raptors released him. He announced his retirement after his retirement after twenty one years. He is a twelve time All Star, an eleven time member of All NBA Teams, a nine time All Defensive Teams member, the two thousand and six Rookie of the Year, a two time Olympic gold medalist, and a member of the NBA's seventy fifth Anniversary. 00:35:45 Speaker 1: Team, and a member of the Banana boat Boys. And I'm and a member of the Banana a Lot city speaking of to talk about week endings, I know that this conversation he don't get me started the weakest ending. But are we going to say he had a week career? Absolutely not, absolutely not. But it was not the ending we wanted or he wanted in his uh like career. Notes as said that he also applied in a basketball competition on the Love Is Blond Finale last year. We should add that to it. I should put that, Yes, I do. I was like, why is Chris Pall here? What is he doing here? 00:36:18 Speaker 5: Lakers star Luka Doncic is on course to play a short stint in Sunday's All Star Game. Also, free agent Michael Beasley, who's been under investigation for improper gambling allegations in the NBA since last year, he signed a deal to play in Puerto Rico for. 00:36:31 Speaker 1: Bad Bunnies team pert Rica. 00:36:37 Speaker 5: The crap the Something Crappers, You're right at the Olympics and a shocking result. US skater Ilia malanin the quad God thank you, fell multiple times, finished in eighth place. In women's hockey, they crushed Italy six zero. They're advancing to the semi finals. By the way, Lindsay Vaughn is going to have a fourth surgery in Italy. If everything goes well, she's coming back to the US to have another surgery on that broken leg. She announced this today on social media. Lastly, here guys in the NFL. While the league won its grievance against the Players Association, effectively banning the union from conducting and publishing future player report cards, but the NFLPA has already announced that they can still do the report cards, and they're still going to do them with the players. 00:37:18 Speaker 1: They're just going to keep the results away from the public back to you. Guys speaking of surgeries, are our video guy, our good pal Spot got surgery today and that's why he's not here. Yeah, so send him some SMIs, send them a balloon.
