<v Speaker 1>Welcome on into the Non Tendo podcast. Everybody, thanks for <v Speaker 1>being here. I am joined by Pam over there to <v Speaker 1>my left, and Kim will be joining us. Beautiful, gorgeous, <v Speaker 1>glowing and as I can finally say on the podcast, pregnant. <v Speaker 2>Why let's go baby God. You guys have no idea <v Speaker 2>how long. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we've been keeping that a secret, literally like six months. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it's been crazy. I knew since like before Friends Giving, <v Speaker 2>so we pretty much told everybody at friends Get you <v Speaker 2>should not be down here. You're not the lady. <v Speaker 1>I was waiting to see Comy come on there we go. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>you can hear on the God Shot. Kim will join <v Speaker 1>us soon. But until then, Oh what a time, what <v Speaker 1>a day? So the thing I am most we gotta <v Speaker 1>get Dollar out. <v Speaker 2>Of here before she pulls a No, she's got no. <v Speaker 2>This is freedom. <v Speaker 1>Audio listens. You're really missing out. Oh my god, Dollar, <v Speaker 1>can you cut to the god she is? <v Speaker 2>She's she takes up so much space. <v Speaker 1>Look, she's gonna pull it. <v Speaker 2>It's really being careful though, I'm actually impressed she is. <v Speaker 1>She's quite careful. <v Speaker 2>She's not sorry about that. <v Speaker 1>Everybody. Uh, my mind's focused on Dollar pulling a cable <v Speaker 1>out white. I want to I want to talk about <v Speaker 1>this white switch. So somebody, it's a mock up. <v Speaker 2>It's not real. <v Speaker 1>Oh, I think Kim's coming down. It's a mock up. <v Speaker 2>It's not real. <v Speaker 1>It's in the thumbnail, and I'm gonna show you guys <v Speaker 1>it today. Kim, could you please my dolling, beautiful pregnant <v Speaker 1>wife get dollar out of here. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I don't know how she got down here, Hila, Thank god. <v Speaker 2>By my dollar. That could have that could have gone <v Speaker 2>way worse. That way worse. Somebody, let me ask you <v Speaker 2>if she if she pulled a cable, would you fired <v Speaker 2>her from the podcast? <v Speaker 1>No, she's a sweetheart, Okay, she gets I swear to god. Um, yeah, <v Speaker 1>there's a there's a mock up. Someone did have a <v Speaker 1>white switch, And I gotta be honest. For as much <v Speaker 1>as I was yanking, yanking while looking at the black sleek, <v Speaker 1>this white one looks so nice and I'm really hoping <v Speaker 1>that it's a thing. <v Speaker 2>Help him. <v Speaker 1>Thank god, we can play her a little lower third separately. <v Speaker 2>Huh yeah, yeah, we can. How you doing, how you feeling? <v Speaker 2>Let's okay? <v Speaker 1>So this Mike, well yes, but also it's very temperamental, <v Speaker 1>So don't touch it. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, don't don't look at it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, so like it'll start crickling and crackling, and Chat's <v Speaker 1>gonna have to let us know that Mike is dying. <v Speaker 1>But it's the only other one that I have, so <v Speaker 1>I've got to order another one. So you have to <v Speaker 1>get closer to the mic around the table. <v Speaker 3>Leg is like right there, so I can't. <v Speaker 2>Oh god, it's one of them. Be careful, careful now. <v Speaker 1>And I just moved you careful. <v Speaker 4>Night. <v Speaker 2>Kim. <v Speaker 1>We didn't get to test run with Kim because she <v Speaker 1>was at the dentist. <v Speaker 2>I was. <v Speaker 1>It was today. <v Speaker 2>Now it's all a lot of very positive comments and <v Speaker 2>chat right now about Kim. A lot of Kim is glowing. <v Speaker 2>You're doing great. <v Speaker 5>I think it's sweat right now. I forgot to take <v Speaker 5>my entire anxiety when I went to. <v Speaker 6>The He said, you realized, he said, I was like, oh, <v Speaker 6>I did not take them. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. We had a lot of comments. <v Speaker 1>I had friends message me saying that you look glowing <v Speaker 1>and and you it's funny because you don't feel like it. <v Speaker 1>Everyone's like you glowing, and Kim is like, I feel horrible, <v Speaker 1>but I think you look very pretty. I think you're beautiful, <v Speaker 1>very large. I was just saying, we've been hiding this secret. <v Speaker 1>Now for. <v Speaker 2>How long has it been? <v Speaker 3>When do we find We've known? <v Speaker 1>It was before Friends Giving? <v Speaker 3>Three months, four months? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, you told me and E and Max and like October. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>whatever episode in October we did in the studio, we. <v Speaker 3>Told you the week we found out. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, sure, no, no, come on now, not the week. <v Speaker 2>I don't think there's no way it was the way. <v Speaker 2>It would have been irresponsible to do it the week <v Speaker 2>we waited. <v Speaker 1>We waited a while until we heard the hortpyt before <v Speaker 1>we told anybody. <v Speaker 3>Do we find out in September? <v Speaker 1>All I know is we found out two months in <v Speaker 1>so we immediately lost two of our nine months. And <v Speaker 1>then we waited forever because we we wanted to go <v Speaker 1>see a doctor to get it confirmed, and it never happened. <v Speaker 1>There's all stuff we talked about in the. <v Speaker 3>Video that it cut out. <v Speaker 1>But then we heard the heartby and then I think <v Speaker 1>we got like an ultrasound. Even before we finally started <v Speaker 1>telling anyone, the only people that knew for a long <v Speaker 1>time was your mom, Kip and Live and like my <v Speaker 1>personal trainer because he was like why aren't you working out? Yeah, <v Speaker 1>I was like, because I'm stretched right now, I'm busy. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>but I think you guys were because the whole thing was, <v Speaker 1>that's whatever studio episode we did last I wanted to <v Speaker 1>go in because I wanted to tell Bob in person, <v Speaker 1>because I wanted to tell Bob and Hannah and yeah <v Speaker 1>all that first, and we asked him to come to <v Speaker 1>the studio and they didn't want to. So you guys, <v Speaker 1>you guys found out first because you were there, and <v Speaker 1>then we went out. We had dinner at Grand Central <v Speaker 1>with Bob, Hannah, and my Australian friend Drew and Sarah, <v Speaker 1>and we told them all at once. And Bob's reaction <v Speaker 1>was he was obviously happy, but I could tell the <v Speaker 1>look at his eyes he wanted to say it. <v Speaker 2>So I was like, can you picture me as a dad? <v Speaker 2>And he went nope, no, Well with that mustache now though, so. <v Speaker 5>He didn't have the mustache at the time. I think <v Speaker 5>his answer would change now. <v Speaker 1>I think I've grown into it as well, like the <v Speaker 1>being a dad thing, because at first, like we weren't ready, <v Speaker 1>we weren't expecting it. I was trying to picture myself <v Speaker 1>as a dad and I was like, am I ready did. <v Speaker 2>In the video where you had the tucked didn't shirt <v Speaker 2>at Target? I was like, he's got the esthetic down <v Speaker 2>one hundred percent. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>So when I when we told everybody, I don't think <v Speaker 1>we were really even we were confident in it either. <v Speaker 1>We were like, we're pregnant. But now it's like we're <v Speaker 1>pregnant and we're gonna we're gonna crush it. <v Speaker 2>You guys are gonna be great. I mean, look at <v Speaker 2>the house you live in, Like, this place is beautiful. <v Speaker 2>You're gonna a great environment for your kids. <v Speaker 1>Thank you for saying that. <v Speaker 2>Kid, kids, we'll see you know. <v Speaker 3>Hope they could there No, at this point were many attacks. <v Speaker 1>There's one, there's definitely. <v Speaker 5>I just don't know if it's going to be a <v Speaker 5>one and done situation. We're just got to wait and see. <v Speaker 2>What would you have done? It was like, hey, by <v Speaker 2>the way, triplets. <v Speaker 1>Yeah I would have cried, So that would have sucked <v Speaker 1>for Kim. But if it was twins, at least we <v Speaker 1>could have to and be done. <v Speaker 5>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, because I don't think we're gonna want to go <v Speaker 1>through this again. <v Speaker 2>I really don't know. <v Speaker 5>And the other thing that's crazy is you can have <v Speaker 5>one pregnancy that's normal and then the next one could be. <v Speaker 3>Absolute hell for you. Yeah, and you don't know what you. <v Speaker 1>You don't know if this one was hell because you've <v Speaker 1>been I don't know. There was a lot that I <v Speaker 1>cut out of the video for time, and also I <v Speaker 1>wanted to focus on positive stuff because we were talking <v Speaker 1>for an hour about how you got really sick at <v Speaker 1>one point because of the pregnancy and ended up in <v Speaker 1>the ear on an IV and there was it was bad, <v Speaker 1>and you had a bad reaction to medicine that they <v Speaker 1>gave you, like really bad, like needles, No, I can't Yeah, <v Speaker 1>and like that was really really hard, and like we <v Speaker 1>kept checking the babies. <v Speaker 2>Don't you have do you know how any tattoos? <v Speaker 3>Different? <v Speaker 1>Though that's different, they go all the way in. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>let's not talking about that, that's true. But yeah, there's <v Speaker 1>been a lot of And then you had like the <v Speaker 1>worst morning sickness that lasted like a month two months, and. <v Speaker 5>It was because they like couldn't figure out what I <v Speaker 5>was allowed to have. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, so we had to like go through and it. <v Speaker 1>Was all day, all night, like you were you were <v Speaker 1>sick all the time. You were bedridden for over a <v Speaker 1>month until we finally got you medicine from a doctor <v Speaker 1>that helped. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>So I think you've had a pretty rough pregnancy. <v Speaker 3>Have it the entire time? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's got Sorry, I can't imagine. <v Speaker 2>You've been really good. <v Speaker 1>I would say the last two months. <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, Yeah, the last two months has been a <v Speaker 3>lot better. <v Speaker 5>But he is getting bigger, so it's it that part sucks. <v Speaker 1>Also, for those paying attention, at the end of the video, <v Speaker 1>I did a little release date reveal for the baby. <v Speaker 2>That was great. <v Speaker 1>I love the same the same way as the switch trailer. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>so he's due May first. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then the top comment on the video was <v Speaker 2>we're getting we're getting wood to before switched to? That <v Speaker 2>was great. Yeah. Can can you move your I know <v Speaker 2>we said don't touch the mic. Can you move it <v Speaker 2>like this, switch toward me a little bit and then <v Speaker 2>then then angle it toward you because it's hard to <v Speaker 2>see your face. Yeah? <v Speaker 3>Is that good? <v Speaker 2>Yes, you're you're a bit bit short, you know. <v Speaker 1>I'll do the same time. How about that? <v Speaker 2>Yeah that's good and actually is great. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, May first. But then we got the forty <v Speaker 1>ultracity and she thinks were two weeks further along, and <v Speaker 1>we really had no idea how far along we work <v Speaker 1>because we waited so late, like two months before we <v Speaker 1>saw a doctor. <v Speaker 5>Well, also, all of the research that I've done is <v Speaker 5>just like they're just guessing. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, they don't know. As long as it's like within <v Speaker 3>a two week range, it's fine. So it's just a guess. <v Speaker 1>I'm just really glad that it seems like And I <v Speaker 1>was like legitimately freaking out about when the switch to <v Speaker 1>was going to release. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, that would have been a very inopportune moment for that. <v Speaker 1>It seems like it's coming out in like June, like <v Speaker 1>mid to late June, which is great because the baby <v Speaker 1>comes mid April, early May. That'll give me almost a <v Speaker 1>month full month, if not maybe even almost two months. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>to make sure that I'm there with you, there with <v Speaker 1>the baby, take time off, be there one hundred percent, <v Speaker 1>because I don't know what that's going to look like, clue. <v Speaker 1>And then once the switch comes out, we can tag <v Speaker 1>team that a little bit. <v Speaker 5>We can like get the routine down by then it's <v Speaker 5>two months away, Yeah, then we'll have it figured out <v Speaker 5>by then. <v Speaker 1>But there was a while there where all the rumors <v Speaker 1>and everything were lining up with like April. Everyone was <v Speaker 1>saying an April release was switched to. And this whole <v Speaker 1>time I couldn't say anything publicly, but I was like, <v Speaker 1>please don't be April because. <v Speaker 2>The baby might be April. And it was also going <v Speaker 2>to be the the the event thing in New York <v Speaker 2>if we you know, if we get into that, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's gonna be a little hair and I want to <v Speaker 2>go to that. Yeah it is, it's a day, but <v Speaker 2>imagine it's the day, right, Oh, you know what I mean. <v Speaker 2>And then there's also a nightmare. <v Speaker 1>There's also packs in mid May, and Nintendo will probably <v Speaker 1>have the switch to there probably And also like every <v Speaker 1>time I go to packs, we do upcoming Switch games, <v Speaker 1>and this the year I could do upcoming Switch two <v Speaker 1>games ahead of the launch. <v Speaker 2>It'd be great. <v Speaker 3>I feel like, you can't not go. <v Speaker 1>But if the baby will be here by then, it <v Speaker 1>will probably be like two weeks maybe a month. <v Speaker 2>Old before before because I know the comments are going <v Speaker 2>to come, people are going to be like, why would <v Speaker 2>you ever even consider prioritizing the switch to over the baby. <v Speaker 2>But a the end the day, you gotta understand that <v Speaker 2>this is like it's a very important career time it's <v Speaker 2>not prioritizing, not prioritizing anything switch over the baby. <v Speaker 1>It's prioritizing income because I have a baby exactly I <v Speaker 1>need to This is the biggest job. You can see <v Speaker 1>by my reaction revel trailer, how many views that got, <v Speaker 1>the views on the podcast this week. People are really excited, <v Speaker 1>like for a lot of people. And I appreciate this <v Speaker 1>so much. I've become the go to Switch creator. To <v Speaker 1>not be there at launch of the switch too, to <v Speaker 1>be taking care of a baby for a month could <v Speaker 1>be detrimental. It could lead the way of me completely <v Speaker 1>falling off, and then that means I can't do as <v Speaker 1>well as a career, and then the baby suffers from that, <v Speaker 1>our family suffers from that. So you know, I want <v Speaker 1>to be able to give one hundred percent attention to both, <v Speaker 1>which if they come out at the same time, that <v Speaker 1>just means I'm not sleeping. That just means I make <v Speaker 1>it work. I spend all day with Kim and the baby, <v Speaker 1>and I spend all night while the baby's asleep, hopefully <v Speaker 1>editing and making YouTube videos, and I just don't sleep. <v Speaker 1>That's what that means. <v Speaker 2>Because I'm not live off of trade coffee I'm. <v Speaker 1>Not giving nine nine percent to the baby, and and <v Speaker 1>well I would probably give nine lin percent of the <v Speaker 1>switch to to be fair, but I'm giving the baby <v Speaker 1>one hundred percent no matter what. So I just hope <v Speaker 1>that I can get as much as I as I <v Speaker 1>can to work. And yes, live off trade coffee. Yes, <v Speaker 1>good job, bring up we'll do it. Now bring up <v Speaker 1>the a reid for trade. Like I asked you to prepare. <v Speaker 2>I you're gonna just doing the meeting the meme again <v Speaker 2>to get fired me. Yeah. Oh, before we go any further. <v Speaker 2>By the way, first of all, there's my lower third. <v Speaker 2>And also we got super chats from and COO says, <v Speaker 2>congrats Kim, and would hope things are lovely for the <v Speaker 2>three of you. I'm assuming you're talking about the baby <v Speaker 2>and not me. That's fine. You could say four or whatever, <v Speaker 2>four of us adopted child. Yes, that's true. Uh yo, <v Speaker 2>son Redi says, congrats are also beer excited about your journey <v Speaker 2>and also Chris Kenworth. Kenworthy says, shout out to Kim <v Speaker 2>for being so real in the video. My wife and <v Speaker 2>I could totally relate to all the crazy feelings thoughts, <v Speaker 2>et cetera. That no one talks about things for sharing. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I kinda. <v Speaker 1>I had a thought of releasing the full video maybe <v Speaker 1>on like the second channel, because we literally talked for <v Speaker 1>an hour about so many things, about so so many you. <v Speaker 1>You talked about so many other things you've been struggling with. <v Speaker 1>We talked about our journey with mental health and how <v Speaker 1>far we've come in what we've done in therapy and <v Speaker 1>for our anxiety, and ended up cutting a lot of <v Speaker 1>that out because I felt like it detracted from the <v Speaker 1>happy We're having a baby, yeah, and we were just <v Speaker 1>rambling too much about our mental health. Well, essentially what <v Speaker 1>happened is I wanted to do a wear Okay video <v Speaker 1>for a long time where we talk about our journey <v Speaker 1>with mental health, and then when the baby came along, <v Speaker 1>I was like, perfect, same video, But in the editing, <v Speaker 1>I was like, no, it didn't work. I was like, <v Speaker 1>on one hand, it's this happy baby announcement and on <v Speaker 1>the other hand, we're talking about our anxiety and it's <v Speaker 1>the mixed messages. Yeah, So I cut a lot of <v Speaker 1>that out, but there's still a lot in there that <v Speaker 1>was really important and really raw, and I was thinking <v Speaker 1>of uploading it separately. We went on this whole talk <v Speaker 1>about the day after we found out you were pregnant, <v Speaker 1>we went to a pole Jam concert because we had <v Speaker 1>these tickets. It was Kim's birthday present. She's never seen <v Speaker 1>pole Jam, it's her favorite band. We were in the <v Speaker 1>pit and we were like mid anxiety, freaking out, like <v Speaker 1>we're having a baby, what is happening? And then the <v Speaker 1>next day we were at a Pearle Jam concert trying <v Speaker 1>to enjoy this present, and we talked about how the <v Speaker 1>universe has always just given us the right person when <v Speaker 1>we need it. <v Speaker 2>And for some reason, I don't know why. <v Speaker 1>The person in front of us in the line at <v Speaker 1>the merch store at Pearl Jam was this older guy, <v Speaker 1>maybe like five ten years older than me, I'm not sure, <v Speaker 1>had a daughter who was like fifteen sixteen, and we <v Speaker 1>just started talking because he recognized us. He was like, <v Speaker 1>I have seen the channel and he was like, yeah, <v Speaker 1>this is my only daughter. She wasn't planned, but she <v Speaker 1>was the best thing that ever happened to us. We <v Speaker 1>were a one and done and now I get to <v Speaker 1>show her Pearl Jam for the first time and she <v Speaker 1>is invested in all his music and they just the <v Speaker 1>way that they would. It just calmed us down. We <v Speaker 1>were like, I want that, and. <v Speaker 5>It's so weird that he said that because we didn't <v Speaker 5>say anything about using No. <v Speaker 1>Actually, you know what's funny is we didn't and then <v Speaker 1>we ended up telling him. Oh, I was like, Kim <v Speaker 1>was pregnant and funny enough, whoever that was, he was <v Speaker 1>the first person to find out. This random, this random <v Speaker 1>fan of a Pearl jam concept found out was pregnant, <v Speaker 1>and he was just so there was there was an <v Speaker 1>air about him that was so innocent. I don't know, <v Speaker 1>sweets carrying, nice guy. Yeah, and I don't know if <v Speaker 1>you're watching this, if you see this, you were the <v Speaker 1>first step on us being like we're having a baby <v Speaker 1>and it's going to be great. It's gonna be awesome. Yeah, anyway, <v Speaker 1>it's fun. <v Speaker 2>Sorry, I'm sorry switch Yeah. Well, speaking of by the way, <v Speaker 2>we also got another super chat from someone which is <v Speaker 2>too far back. No, no, it's good. Power Up Bros. <v Speaker 2>Podcast says I hope to switch too. Is just an <v Speaker 2>option and not a smaller is just an option, and <v Speaker 2>not a smaller hard drive size like the WU was. Also, congrats, <v Speaker 2>you guys are going to do great. What do you <v Speaker 2>think about that? <v Speaker 3>I don't know googling. I thought you were googling the <v Speaker 3>size thing. <v Speaker 1>I was for the people that want us to talk <v Speaker 1>about the switch. I wanted to get ready to bring <v Speaker 1>up the white switch too. And I gotta be honest. <v Speaker 2>I mean, there will be an SD card slot. <v Speaker 4>Right. <v Speaker 1>My brain forgot. Can you run that question by me again? <v Speaker 3>Run it again? <v Speaker 2>Oh okay, they said, I hope the white switch to <v Speaker 2>is just an option. Oh sorry, the white I think <v Speaker 2>I missed the white part. It's just an option, not <v Speaker 2>a smaller hard drive size like the WEIU was. Oh yeah, <v Speaker 2>so congrats, you guys are well perfect. <v Speaker 1>Let's move into it. Then, let's get so over here. <v Speaker 1>I just pulled it up on Reddit. I actually found <v Speaker 1>this on Twitter initially. It is a switch to light mode. <v Speaker 1>It's a white concept so it's concept. <v Speaker 2>Art people, It's not legit. It's not real. Somebody uh <v Speaker 2>odd lh. <v Speaker 1>I think, I actually, I think, I actually I referenced <v Speaker 1>one of their art pieces recently, I think, and they messedged. <v Speaker 1>I think if it's the right person, they messaged me <v Speaker 1>and they were like that was mine, thanks for showing <v Speaker 1>it or something. Anyway, here they are with a white switch, <v Speaker 1>and I gotta be honest. As soon as I saw <v Speaker 1>it kind of loved it. I kind of love it. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>wats the vibes of the room. I want to talk <v Speaker 1>about why I love it? But what do you guys think? <v Speaker 3>I don't know. I'm on the fence. <v Speaker 1>Do you want to bring up the other one to <v Speaker 1>compare them? <v Speaker 3>I just I. <v Speaker 2>Prefer it vastly you prefer I. Yeah like it. I <v Speaker 2>I do too. <v Speaker 1>I think it makes the accents of the colors pop <v Speaker 1>way more and stand out a lot more. <v Speaker 2>Someone in chat said it's giving portal vibes that. <v Speaker 1>It's giving. <v Speaker 3>It's very like can they see that? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's it's kind of just on screen. Actually, I <v Speaker 1>want to talk about this just quickly. This is from <v Speaker 1>and this is actually powering a lot of the show <v Speaker 1>right now, so I'm going to be careful. This is <v Speaker 1>a moon base from Gankey. <v Speaker 2>This is what they were This is what they actually <v Speaker 2>took to h. <v Speaker 1>To sees when they were showing off the big switch. <v Speaker 1>This is the product they had. It looks like it's <v Speaker 1>from Starfield. It's like a it's just a power strip, <v Speaker 1>but it's a really cool It has a bunch of <v Speaker 1>cool power Street usbc's on the side has got an <v Speaker 1>orange cord and it yeah, it just looks like it's <v Speaker 1>from Starfield. It's really sick. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, anyway, sorry about that's the switch. <v Speaker 1>It doesn't match it a little. I like this because <v Speaker 1>the actual tablet is white, and even on the white <v Speaker 1>O lead, the tablet wasn't white. It was still black. <v Speaker 1>It was just the joy cons and the dock that <v Speaker 1>was black. But I again, I really think it makes <v Speaker 1>it makes all the buttons, even the black of the <v Speaker 1>buttons accent stick out more and then the yeah, these <v Speaker 1>colored these colored accents, I feel like, stick out a <v Speaker 1>lot more and do so that comment's point. <v Speaker 2>We had the black we U and the white WU. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I actually like I think back in the day, <v Speaker 1>I liked the white one more really, but it did <v Speaker 1>have less internal memory. That was the difference between them. <v Speaker 1>So the white one had like thirty gigs of memory, <v Speaker 1>which was barely enough to hold one video game download <v Speaker 1>on it, and then the black one had like sixty <v Speaker 1>four or something like that was like double. <v Speaker 3>The Zel one was black, wasn't it. <v Speaker 1>The Zelda one was that came way later, but yeah, <v Speaker 1>that was a black one. That won't happen again, I <v Speaker 1>wouldn't imagine. <v Speaker 2>That's a bizarre thing. I don't know why they did that. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I mean, well, have we seen in I mean, have <v Speaker 2>we assumed from what we've seen of the original, like <v Speaker 2>ad that there's going to be an expandable storage there is? <v Speaker 1>Yeah, So, just like the Switch one, there's a micro <v Speaker 1>SD card anyway slot. This time it's an express slot, <v Speaker 1>which is a much faster type of SD card. So <v Speaker 1>the internals of the switch will be faster some SSD <v Speaker 1>or something like that. I'm sure that'll be quicker than <v Speaker 1>the original, and then the actual card slot too will <v Speaker 1>be able to play and run your games faster too. <v Speaker 2>Cool, because that was the. <v Speaker 1>Whole thing on the Switch one. Some people thought that <v Speaker 1>if you downloaded a game to the SD card rather <v Speaker 1>than the internals, one of them played faster than the other, <v Speaker 1>or loaded faster than I don't know. Okay, yeah, I <v Speaker 1>think it's all like Nickel and Dimie, you get a <v Speaker 1>couple extra seconds. <v Speaker 2>I don't think it really matters so to all of <v Speaker 2>our size queens out there, size queens. Yeah, okay, yeah. <v Speaker 1>Cool, missed that one. Yeah, yeah, this is that's that's <v Speaker 1>the white switch. Can we get actually I'd love to <v Speaker 1>get a chat vibe if you could do a poll. Yeah, like, <v Speaker 1>if it was an option to get the white all black? <v Speaker 1>Which way are you leaning while you're typing that? I <v Speaker 1>actually want to look up just this switch too, so <v Speaker 1>I can switch between them and tenders switch to images beat. <v Speaker 1>What do we do bot? Yeah? Sorry for the dead <v Speaker 1>ad people? <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I don't know so many ads? <v Speaker 2>Okay? <v Speaker 1>Can you can you show me? Sorry Kim, what you're saying. <v Speaker 5>I feel like they look too much like every other <v Speaker 5>handl console now that the controllers are not a color. <v Speaker 2>We got a poll in the chat. <v Speaker 1>There's a pole in the chat, and if you're listening <v Speaker 1>to the audio, I'm just I'm clicking back and forth <v Speaker 1>between these two and I can't you can't decide. I <v Speaker 1>can't decide. <v Speaker 2>I just don't know. <v Speaker 5>The white one looks different than all the other handheld consoles. <v Speaker 2>I think it does look different. <v Speaker 3>That helps, but I still I don't know. It's just <v Speaker 3>like I just. <v Speaker 1>I kind of hope there's an option, because I think both. <v Speaker 1>I think both bring a lot to. <v Speaker 3>The Typically, whenever they do the handheld consoles and stuff, <v Speaker 3>they come out with two colors. <v Speaker 6>They do like sometimes not always, but but the original switch, <v Speaker 6>you had the black one and you had the one <v Speaker 6>the switch did. Yes, that's that's kind of why we're <v Speaker 6>I'm thinking considering this. But also a lot of people <v Speaker 6>have pointed out that this one, it is both of <v Speaker 6>those together. <v Speaker 1>It's the gray switch and the colored switch together as one, <v Speaker 1>which is what it seems like Nintendo's going for this <v Speaker 1>more unified thing, whereas this is like just adding in <v Speaker 1>another equation. <v Speaker 2>But like a man, I. <v Speaker 1>Don't know, I don't know, and I don't even know <v Speaker 1>which one I would get. I remember, so I was <v Speaker 1>pretty sold on this black, sleek one, but I remember <v Speaker 1>at launch off the switch one, I got the gray <v Speaker 1>because I was, like, I thought the colored ones were <v Speaker 1>too toy, Like, I thought they were too distracting. I'm <v Speaker 1>gonna be playing my games and I'm gonna have this <v Speaker 1>bright knee on blue and bright knee on red. So <v Speaker 1>I got the plane gray, and pretty quickly I regretted it. <v Speaker 2>I disagreed so hard with that take too. Yeah, like <v Speaker 2>I love the colors. <v Speaker 1>I came around pretty quickly to the color. Every time <v Speaker 1>I looked at the gray, it. <v Speaker 3>Feels like Nintendo because it's more. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, when I was playing with the gray, I was like, <v Speaker 1>this is so dull. And also the gray it got <v Speaker 1>like worn out smudges on it, h and you could <v Speaker 1>kind of see where your fingers had been. And then <v Speaker 1>the blue and red hid that a lot better. And <v Speaker 1>I think I'm liking this black more now, But I <v Speaker 1>think once I've had it for a while and I <v Speaker 1>look at people with this white one, I'm gonna get jealous. <v Speaker 3>Well, you're gonna end up with both anyway. Let's not <v Speaker 3>kid ourselves. <v Speaker 1>That's true, all right, Kim. I'm trying to. <v Speaker 3>Be a man him and that, Well, I have to <v Speaker 3>have one, and you have to have We get. <v Speaker 1>One of each, and the baby has to have one. <v Speaker 3>The baby does not need to He could have a special. <v Speaker 1>Edition Zelda one for when he grows up. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we gotta have. He should leave it in the <v Speaker 2>box so he can know. <v Speaker 1>No, he should start on a on a Game Boy <v Speaker 1>color with Pokemon red. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, like that's actually that's actually great. I love that <v Speaker 2>you could download all of your history of Nintendo into <v Speaker 2>your baby. By every like three or six. <v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna tell I'm going to shelter him. I'm <v Speaker 1>gonna not let him know that technology has progression, and <v Speaker 1>he's gonna think. But then every year for Christmas, I'm <v Speaker 1>gonna be like, they just released a game Boy Advance. <v Speaker 1>And then the next year I'll be like, look at <v Speaker 1>this new DS. <v Speaker 2>And he's gonna he's gonna. <v Speaker 1>But when he finds out what I've done, he'll be <v Speaker 1>so upset. But when he when he realizes what I've <v Speaker 1>done for him, you'll forgive me. <v Speaker 2>Yep, yep. That's that's called being a well rounded individual <v Speaker 2>at the end of the day. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, fills characters. <v Speaker 1>How is that? How's that poll going? <v Speaker 2>Uh, we're like pretty split down the middle, fifty eight <v Speaker 2>fifty white. <v Speaker 3>Wow. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, I feel like it's going to be with how <v Speaker 5>split that is. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I think there's going to be too. <v Speaker 2>I kind of hope they do too for their for <v Speaker 2>their own sake. <v Speaker 3>I just feel like that's what's going to happen because people, <v Speaker 3>well are not going to agree on that. <v Speaker 1>Here's another just we're just speculating and putting rumors out there. <v Speaker 1>But all the leaks that we saw initially of this console, <v Speaker 1>like when we first saw it, right and the joy <v Speaker 1>CON's leak, they were white joy Cons for some reason. <v Speaker 1>It was white for a long time, and then all <v Speaker 1>of a sudden it was Gankey at Cees that revealed <v Speaker 1>those red and blue ones, and then suddenly that was <v Speaker 1>the switch that was revealed. But for a long time, <v Speaker 1>all of those leaks that were correct, that were the <v Speaker 1>right size, right buttons, right placements, right, everything, that was <v Speaker 1>the switch to. Even with the little triggers, they were <v Speaker 1>black and white. <v Speaker 2>Maybe that's why they showed us the black one, you know, yeah, <v Speaker 2>to be like, yeah, well, hey, actually you guys got <v Speaker 2>everything right, but it's actually black. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Maybe maybe they just kept it to the white one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, Nintendo said, why I gotta be white? Though? <v Speaker 1>That's interesting. I wonder I do wonder them. I hope <v Speaker 1>they do, because I think it's cool to have options. <v Speaker 2>Also, Kim, you like you slouched it out now the <v Speaker 2>mic is covering your face, so. <v Speaker 1>You know how and I'm going to throw this out there. <v Speaker 1>You know last week how we talked about the Switch <v Speaker 1>to trailer was two minutes twenty two seconds long. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>and it was released two months, two days and two <v Speaker 1>weeks before Switch before that Nasena Direct yeap. While at <v Speaker 1>the time we were kind of like, is that just <v Speaker 1>a random coincidence which would be kind of nuts. Turns <v Speaker 1>out someone in our reddit and someone in our discord. <v Speaker 2>Found out that were like, what time was it posted? <v Speaker 2>So we looked at the Japan time that they tweeted <v Speaker 2>it out, and it was ten twenty two PM, and <v Speaker 2>ten in military time is twenty two, twenty two to <v Speaker 2>twenty two, So the whole thing was posted at exactly <v Speaker 2>two to two, two before two two tube of the <v Speaker 2>and the time is two to two. Maybe it's just <v Speaker 2>because it's the switch. <v Speaker 3>To absolutely absolutely makes you feel like something's going to <v Speaker 3>happen on February twenty. <v Speaker 2>So that's the thing. <v Speaker 1>Now, what's happening feb twenty second, which leads into Nate <v Speaker 1>the Hate, because Nate the Hate, I don't know did <v Speaker 1>I put this in the doc? I don't know if <v Speaker 1>I did, we'll just talk about it. Nate the Hate <v Speaker 1>suggested a bunch of things in his podcast, which now <v Speaker 1>people have gone back and listened to the episode where <v Speaker 1>he revealed when it was going to reveal, and one <v Speaker 1>of the many things he said in there was that <v Speaker 1>we're going to get a Nintendo Direct in February and <v Speaker 1>it's going to be focused on the Switch one. So <v Speaker 1>before we get this switch to direct in April. He <v Speaker 1>thinks we're getting a Switch one direct in February to <v Speaker 1>just kind of tell you what's still happening. Was Switched <v Speaker 1>one moving forward and what you know, before release because <v Speaker 1>we do still have until June. It's looking like before <v Speaker 1>the switch too, which is still five to six months <v Speaker 1>of this. <v Speaker 3>Concert, I'm just going to leave it dead. <v Speaker 1>They're going to Yeah, Well, I mean a lot of <v Speaker 1>companies do leave it dead. Well, we've never been in <v Speaker 1>this position before, so we you that was left for dead. <v Speaker 1>But the Nintendo Switch is so successful with such an <v Speaker 1>install base, if they can squeeze some things out, why <v Speaker 1>wouldn't they. Yeah, so we might see it direct, and <v Speaker 1>we might see a direct on February twenty second at <v Speaker 1>eight whatever it was in the morning, so that Japan <v Speaker 1>time is twenty two to twenty two. <v Speaker 2>Well, I'm starting to think about, like you know, like <v Speaker 2>I think about when like the PS four originally came out, right, <v Speaker 2>and that was right around the time that GTA five <v Speaker 2>was released, and the GTA five came out for the <v Speaker 2>PS four and the PS three, Right, So you think <v Speaker 2>there's gonna be like any Switch games that are coming <v Speaker 2>out that will be compatible with the Switch one and <v Speaker 2>the Switch too. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, definitely, because the Switch one did that with Breath <v Speaker 1>of the Wild. Also, I was having a rethought on something, <v Speaker 1>so a lot of people are wondering if alongside this <v Speaker 1>Mario Kart, we'll also get that Metroid on day one <v Speaker 1>cross release on both platforms. So my whole spiel last <v Speaker 1>week was why would they want to release two big <v Speaker 1>games on the same day, especially a Metroid which they've <v Speaker 1>been working on for so long, because people are probably <v Speaker 1>going to buy Mario Kart and not Metroid if they <v Speaker 1>can't afford both, so they'll probably get the install base <v Speaker 1>and then release it for holiday season. But then I <v Speaker 1>was like, what if they just say screw it and <v Speaker 1>imagine that launch where you get Metroid, which everybody has <v Speaker 1>been waiting for, cross play on both systems, and then <v Speaker 1>the new Mario Kart, which is only available on the <v Speaker 1>Switch too, and they both launch the same day, and <v Speaker 1>it gives people a cut racing, fun multiplayer game and <v Speaker 1>then a first person single player shoot a game, two <v Speaker 1>very different games to pick from. <v Speaker 2>I know, the business decision wise, it's probably best for <v Speaker 2>Mariocar new Mario cards to be available only on the <v Speaker 2>switch to, and that's probably what's going to happen. <v Speaker 1>Not even a question. I don't know where you're going <v Speaker 1>with this, but yes. <v Speaker 2>The point is that I really wish that it wasn't <v Speaker 2>because because then that's the nuts. Yeah, but I play <v Speaker 2>with tons of people who probably can't afford to just <v Speaker 2>buy a switch to out the gate. It'd be nice <v Speaker 2>for them to. I don't want to tell you other <v Speaker 2>than sorry for them. Yeah. I know that sounds really <v Speaker 2>fortally rough. <v Speaker 1>But if we're trying to push this switch to us <v Speaker 1>a next gen console and actually give it the image <v Speaker 1>of its an actual upgrade and not just like a <v Speaker 1>Switch Pro, you need to have games that are exclusive <v Speaker 1>for it. And also if you're developing for that console, <v Speaker 1>but take making the previous one that's eight years out <v Speaker 1>of date and was out of date when it released <v Speaker 1>in mind, so a game has to work on that, <v Speaker 1>it's going to stifle the development and make it. <v Speaker 2>Just a worse game. <v Speaker 1>You're going to get switched to brand new Switch to <v Speaker 1>a Mario cut with a worse Mario cut because they <v Speaker 1>had to make it play on Switch one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, I agree with you. I don't think that <v Speaker 2>that would make any sense for them to do that. <v Speaker 2>It's just that it'd be nice. <v Speaker 1>I switch to be nice. I can't switch too. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>tell you switch one. <v Speaker 2>I don't have to tell you switch one price or not. <v Speaker 1>Be already backwards compatible, like Nintendo are doing everything they <v Speaker 1>can for those people. It's just they're going to utilize <v Speaker 1>the power of the new console to create the new <v Speaker 1>games and make them as cool as possible. But but <v Speaker 1>Metroid they promised would be on Switch one, so they've <v Speaker 1>kind of worked themselves into a corner where it has <v Speaker 1>to be they have to fulfill that promise. So it'll <v Speaker 1>be on It'll be on both, and hopefully it is <v Speaker 1>a good game to be on both. But hopeful that <v Speaker 1>means the switch to version will look and play a <v Speaker 1>lot better. <v Speaker 3>Definitely look better. Graphics was for sure. <v Speaker 1>I wasn't trying to be a dicky though. <v Speaker 2>No, No, I know, no, I agree. I I preface <v Speaker 2>what I said with the fact that I knew that <v Speaker 2>didn't do it. You know, just sucks, but hey, yeah. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, especially depending on how much sisconsole is going to cost. <v Speaker 2>I I kind of so, I understand what you're saying, Hanim, <v Speaker 2>but I kind of feel like it doesn't suck because <v Speaker 2>it's way way more exciting to think that with finally <v Speaker 2>after like a decade, getting something somewhat next gen from Nintendo. <v Speaker 2>That's true. Plus I only want to play games with <v Speaker 2>people in my tax bracket, let's be honest. <v Speaker 1>Well, moving on to this conversation then, because I don't <v Speaker 1>think it's going to be as expensive as you will think, <v Speaker 1>or you might be theorizing. So if this is the <v Speaker 1>right article, oh wait, wrong article, price of switch to. <v Speaker 1>So I've had theories for a long time about the <v Speaker 1>price of this switch two. My theory is four hundred dollars. <v Speaker 5>It sounds yeah, how much do all the other handhelds <v Speaker 5>that you have cost way more than that? <v Speaker 1>Hanging up or more than that? The Steam deck is <v Speaker 1>the most compatible in price. I can't remember what the <v Speaker 1>old is out the rep but the base model is <v Speaker 1>about four hundred as well. <v Speaker 3>Okay, so on the lower end. <v Speaker 1>In Italy Games and Movies, dot It, which is a <v Speaker 1>legit retailer based out of European country, has pushed switch <v Speaker 1>to preorders live at three sixty four to ninety nine, <v Speaker 1>which is a very specific number. Now, this could just <v Speaker 1>be a mistake, This could be a series of things, <v Speaker 1>but it translates to three hundred and seventy nine US. <v Speaker 2>Which would that be incredible, which would suggest three fifty. <v Speaker 1>I don't know why they round down though, because three <v Speaker 1>point eighty is actually closer to four hundred than three fifty. <v Speaker 1>So I don't know why this article round down. <v Speaker 3>That's after tax, so they're saying three fifty before tech. <v Speaker 1>Maybe I think, so, here's my thing, here's my theory. <v Speaker 1>You can cut away from this because this is just <v Speaker 1>a loose thing. I think one for sure, this thing <v Speaker 1>will not cost any less than three ninety nine. My <v Speaker 1>reason for that is this console in every single way <v Speaker 1>needs to not only be period, but be perceived as <v Speaker 1>an upgrade. Right the switch one And if the switch <v Speaker 1>one costs three hundred for the base model and three <v Speaker 1>fifty for the O lead, and you're going to bring <v Speaker 1>out a brand new model, you're gonna say it's bigger, <v Speaker 1>literally better literally also cost the same. Does it doesn't <v Speaker 1>give the image it but it doesn't give the image <v Speaker 1>that it's better. It doesn't give the image that it's bigger. <v Speaker 1>It gives the image that it's going to be about <v Speaker 1>the same. <v Speaker 2>Can you you got the optics on the brain? I <v Speaker 2>overthink everything. <v Speaker 1>I'm actually working on a video right now and this <v Speaker 1>topic is in it, and I've already wrote a whole <v Speaker 1>script for it. <v Speaker 2>That's true, though, you're totally I didn't even consider about that. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>the price, the price. The price sort of like is <v Speaker 2>an indicator. It's an increasing quality. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's the same with the PlayStation five Pro insane price. <v Speaker 1>No one can afford it, but you put seven hundred <v Speaker 1>on it and your brain goes, that must be better. <v Speaker 1>That's a BVP, it's a tech has to be the <v Speaker 1>good thing about that, though, The good thing about it <v Speaker 1>kind of needing to be at least four hundred is <v Speaker 1>it gives Nintendo an extra one hundred dollars they didn't <v Speaker 1>have last time to make it better in whatever way <v Speaker 1>they deem makes it better. <v Speaker 2>You know. <v Speaker 1>So, yeah, it gives a more wiggle room in the <v Speaker 1>budget to make it better. It literally, like, what is <v Speaker 1>that twenty percent extra budget to twenty five percent extra <v Speaker 1>budget to make this thing twenty five percent better than <v Speaker 1>it could have been if it was only three hundred. <v Speaker 2>So also, yeah, it's hard. It's hard to make tech. <v Speaker 1>Good and and and and play the games that we <v Speaker 1>have these days. At three hundred dollars. <v Speaker 3>I just don't think that's just hard. <v Speaker 1>That's just hard. I don't think it's do a bull either. <v Speaker 3>I meane they're taking trying to make all the games load. <v Speaker 1>I think a large reason the Switch was even three <v Speaker 1>hundred in the first place back the day was because <v Speaker 1>they didn't have the trust from games with the WEU <v Speaker 1>to even make it four hundred. I think the Switch, <v Speaker 1>even though it was a bit outdated, and a lot <v Speaker 1>of that was because they had to make it affordable. <v Speaker 1>I think they still took an insane loss on every <v Speaker 1>sale of the Switch just to get people. <v Speaker 3>On the board Christ breakdown, and they really didn't make <v Speaker 3>very much per consoles. <v Speaker 2>Well. <v Speaker 1>Console consoles never make money for hardware developers. Yeah, PlayStation, <v Speaker 1>Xbox and Nintendo and anyone that makes and Steam, anyone <v Speaker 1>that makes a console, and they sell it at an <v Speaker 1>affordable price. Each one loses their money, but it gets <v Speaker 1>someone in the door that buys games digitally, that signs <v Speaker 1>up for Xbox Game Pass, that signs up the Nintendo <v Speaker 1>One line. It gets people paying and eventually they make <v Speaker 1>their money back, and they keep making more and more <v Speaker 1>and more money gets people in the door. That's why <v Speaker 1>consoles like the rock Ally and Lenovole can go were <v Speaker 1>a thousand dollars and do the same as a Steam <v Speaker 1>deck because they can only make money one time. They <v Speaker 1>don't have Steam, they don't have a store for you <v Speaker 1>to buy games from. They're just selling you a unit. <v Speaker 1>That's why they're so expensive. And that it's a conversation <v Speaker 1>I had to have a lot over the last few <v Speaker 1>years because every time I review one of these really <v Speaker 1>cool handhands, like a rock Ally, everyone's like, yeah, but <v Speaker 1>it's so expensive. <v Speaker 3>It's has to be. <v Speaker 1>They can't sell it at a loss because they go <v Speaker 1>out of business. <v Speaker 3>I mean, they don't own a game company. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, they don't own an OS to sell you games <v Speaker 1>like Steam. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>So I think even four hundred is still a loss. <v Speaker 1>I think, yeah, but but we'll spend money on the <v Speaker 1>console once we get it. <v Speaker 3>Yeah. <v Speaker 1>And to end the conversation on my thoughts, I think <v Speaker 1>the highest it goes, highest it goes, it's five hundred, <v Speaker 1>But I do not think it will be that's be <v Speaker 1>surprised if that's insane. Realistically, something like four forty nine. <v Speaker 2>Is even that? <v Speaker 3>That feels like a lot plus tax. <v Speaker 2>You're back at a five hundred. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, And if you get insurance, Honitor anything you're looking <v Speaker 5>at like six hundred bucks. <v Speaker 1>I think they've got it at that four hundred because again, <v Speaker 1>it sets the image. It's more money for them to <v Speaker 1>play around with the console, and it's still affordable in <v Speaker 1>comparison to pretty much anything else, and it will be <v Speaker 1>the newest thing on the market and the most affordable thing. <v Speaker 1>Perfect Switech. <v Speaker 2>I think historically, and this is I don't know, maybe <v Speaker 2>you probably know the answer is historically, does Nintendo make <v Speaker 2>money on their consoles though, because the Xbox and PS <v Speaker 2>PlayStation don't. <v Speaker 1>No, I just said none of them. <v Speaker 2>They just don't. Because people in Chawner are saying that <v Speaker 2>Nintendo does. I don't know. <v Speaker 1>Maybe now, maybe eight years later pros. <v Speaker 3>And stuff, maybe they made some money. <v Speaker 1>Pros the bigger one. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, maybe now, just because the pieces that are in <v Speaker 2>the switch were more expensive eight years ago, obviously, so <v Speaker 2>maybe now that console time. <v Speaker 1>I don't I'm not sure on that. Maybe that's a <v Speaker 1>chat GBT or a Google. I've always just assumed that <v Speaker 1>every console is a lost no matter what I mean. <v Speaker 1>If if PlayStation sold the five at the price they <v Speaker 1>would need to make money, it would be like one <v Speaker 1>thousand dollars. Yeah, so I just assume the switch is <v Speaker 1>the same. But yeah, give it a Google. <v Speaker 2>I'm doing it right. <v Speaker 1>But at launch, definitely at launch pretty much, no matter what, <v Speaker 1>they're always going to lose money on every console sold. <v Speaker 3>It's been selling for how many years? <v Speaker 5>Man? <v Speaker 2>Eight? <v Speaker 5>They might have started making money off maybe find parts <v Speaker 5>in bulk or something. <v Speaker 2>What do you what are you getting over the ham. <v Speaker 1>It's a tough Google. I don't know if Google. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, it all seems like just what people <v Speaker 2>are saying on like Reddit and kra and it's just <v Speaker 2>like they're saying that. I mean, people I'm seeing both <v Speaker 2>kind of Let me let me ask jubut. Does nintender <v Speaker 2>make money off a switch sale? Switch hold on console? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? Console sale? Or or does it cost more to <v Speaker 1>make a switch then it sounds I'm trying to be <v Speaker 1>very specific so that it doesn't get confused. Nintendo has <v Speaker 1>historically aim to make profit on its hardware and the <v Speaker 1>Nintendo switches, no exception unlock companies like Sony and Microsoft, <v Speaker 1>which often sell consoles at a loss and recoup cost <v Speaker 1>your software, and so it was no typically designs its <v Speaker 1>consoles to be cost effective. Oh Okay, wait, hold on <v Speaker 1>is wrong about this. <v Speaker 2>They starts placed manufacturing cost of the original switch at <v Speaker 2>around two fifty seven, and it launched the console sold <v Speaker 2>for two ninety nine, leaving a marginal Oh my bad, <v Speaker 2>a little bit. I was wrong. Margin, but it's you know, <v Speaker 2>it's a margin on the. <v Speaker 1>Wait wait wait, wait wait, I'm sorry. This a switch <v Speaker 1>only costs two hundred and fifty dollars to build on <v Speaker 1>Nintendo side. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, what a piece of ship. Yeah, here's here's the <v Speaker 2>thing though. Here's the thing though, because Nintendo they have <v Speaker 2>been mass producing them like so significantly from the beginning. <v Speaker 2>A lot of that probably comes with like being able <v Speaker 2>to produce in such bulk numbers, That's what I'm thinking. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>there's yeah, like I can imagine. Plus, they're not using <v Speaker 2>like the most the latest hardware when they build anything. <v Speaker 1>So analysts have suggested the O lead model sold at <v Speaker 1>three forty nine, costs about ten dollars more to produce <v Speaker 1>than the standard model ten, enhancing profitability. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, so that screen. It's not even considering like the <v Speaker 2>R and D that goes into this though, which is <v Speaker 2>a significantly huge amount of money. <v Speaker 1>All right, I will take the l on that one. <v Speaker 1>I apologize. I sounded like I knew what I was <v Speaker 1>talking about, and I did. <v Speaker 3>They made money off of it. <v Speaker 1>I mean obviously I roped them into PlayStation and Xbox <v Speaker 1>because I just assumed, no matter what with hardware, you're <v Speaker 1>making a loss. <v Speaker 2>That's crazy. <v Speaker 1>They're making a profit. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, wow, then. <v Speaker 1>Zander has to have so much money then, yeah, because <v Speaker 1>not only did they sell one hundred and forty units, <v Speaker 1>they sold one hundred and forty units. <v Speaker 3>That profit, yeah, fifty bucks each undred. <v Speaker 1>Twenty million, I mean yeah, twenty million times profit every console. <v Speaker 1>And they get subscriptions, and they sell games. No wonder <v Speaker 1>their games are sixty and not seventy. They don't even <v Speaker 1>need to now. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, they can cut costs a little bit because they've <v Speaker 3>got a little wig room there. <v Speaker 2>The finances, Yeah, they so small, that's insane. Yeah, we've <v Speaker 2>all been playing a console for the last eight years. <v Speaker 2>That cost a couple hundred bucks to make. <v Speaker 1>That cost an average grocery store trip to make. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, these days, Yeah, I'm actually blown away by that. <v Speaker 2>All right, Sorry about that. I'm sorry about that misinformation. <v Speaker 2>I swear you know what I'm talking about. Sometimes, are <v Speaker 2>you guys going to the grocery store. <v Speaker 1>Anywhere between between the two of us when we do <v Speaker 1>a full three store shop, yeah, three of us. Now, yeah, <v Speaker 1>Kim's eating a lot more. <v Speaker 3>I am not too. <v Speaker 2>Fair, you know. I talk about it like I feel <v Speaker 2>like I can spend eighty dollars at the grocery store <v Speaker 2>on me for a week. Yeah, holy shit, eighty ninety. <v Speaker 2>But I go to like little you know, like I <v Speaker 2>just going on. <v Speaker 3>I would go to all Do, but that's where I <v Speaker 3>got sick that one time. So now I'm scared. <v Speaker 2>Well because okay, they gotta not gonna lie. I'm be <v Speaker 2>going a little. Sorry, it's a little off track. I've <v Speaker 2>been going a little. And sometimes sometimes we like they <v Speaker 2>be like, oh this is so cheap. Now look at <v Speaker 2>that preak shop and then you look at the expiration <v Speaker 2>date and it's tomorrow. <v Speaker 1>No, an average grocery shop for us is between one <v Speaker 1>fifty two dred like bar for like a week. <v Speaker 3>Crazy stuff. <v Speaker 2>No, we just bind normal vegetables. I'm going to diet like. <v Speaker 1>I'm going to strict, like all I can eat is <v Speaker 1>chicken vegetables. <v Speaker 2>Right's crazy thing. <v Speaker 3>We've been buying the same thing for you for like <v Speaker 3>the last what year, and I've just seen it go up. <v Speaker 3>It's been like from one eighty to two fifty. <v Speaker 1>Now that's actually a good point too with the switch to. <v Speaker 1>Not to get political, but if the. <v Speaker 2>Tariffs go into place, I didn't think that we will <v Speaker 2>be paying more for the switch than any other country. <v Speaker 2>Are they going to be producing them locally though, the switch? <v Speaker 5>Yeah? <v Speaker 1>No, like you're talking, they're interesting in Yeah, that makes sense, <v Speaker 1>like the place he's tariffing. Yeah, so yeah, we will probably, <v Speaker 1>assuming the tariffs go into place, and I'm not too <v Speaker 1>well versed in it, we will probably have to spend <v Speaker 1>more for the switch to than any other country. However, <v Speaker 1>spending more for everything, I don't know what that is. <v Speaker 1>I don't know if instead of four hundred we're spending <v Speaker 1>four ten. I don't know if we're spending four fifty. <v Speaker 1>I don't know if we're spending five. I don't know <v Speaker 1>what that means for us. I don't know. Yeah, it's <v Speaker 1>just going to get more expensive. Everything's going to about <v Speaker 1>to get a lot more expensive. Unfortunately, speaking of groceries <v Speaker 1>going up, what else have we got? <v Speaker 2>I feel like I'm really bright right now. I don't <v Speaker 2>know what the hell happened here, But like it's. <v Speaker 1>Keep getting more bright as the outside goes down because <v Speaker 1>it's counterbalancing. Unfortunately, sorry to tell you. <v Speaker 2>Ah. <v Speaker 1>One thing we didn't touch on last week. I don't <v Speaker 1>think so. Nintendo has prepared for twenty million year one <v Speaker 1>switch to sales according to analysts, So I don't think <v Speaker 1>we talked about this. But the reason why this thing <v Speaker 1>has been leaking for the longest time is because it's <v Speaker 1>been in production for the longest time, because Nintendo's wanted <v Speaker 1>to apparently build up twenty million units worldwide. <v Speaker 3>Because there was a shortage when they released the first one. <v Speaker 2>Well there was a shortage like everything, like PlayStation five <v Speaker 2>had an insane shortage. <v Speaker 3>Oh, because there was that chip thing too, wasn't there. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, well I don't know. Well there was COVID <v Speaker 2>well that. <v Speaker 3>But also there was like a shortage for computers and <v Speaker 3>all that became the thing. <v Speaker 1>You're probably right. I don't necessarily remember the PlayStation thing <v Speaker 1>other than COVID, but that was probably a chip chip <v Speaker 1>thing because of COVID. <v Speaker 5>Well that and then the computers and everything too. Remember <v Speaker 5>you were trying to build a PC, you couldn't because <v Speaker 5>they're booping. <v Speaker 1>That was because of COVID. Yeah, I think I don't. <v Speaker 1>Maybe I misremember. I don't think there was a chip <v Speaker 1>shortage for any other reason, but COVID. <v Speaker 2>The only COVID chip I know about is the one <v Speaker 2>that got injected into me, So I don't know has <v Speaker 2>that gone. By the way, it's going pretty good, you know. <v Speaker 2>I think I feel enlightened mine. <v Speaker 1>Maybe pass out had a seizure. <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, OK, yeah, that was a fun time. <v Speaker 2>Anyway. <v Speaker 1>So they've been putting loads of units in their production <v Speaker 1>so that their launch year there will be more than <v Speaker 1>enough in supply for everybody. And also I think they <v Speaker 1>are just predicting that they are going to sell twenty million. <v Speaker 1>So here's some cliff notes here. Analysts have predicted that <v Speaker 1>Nintendo was preparing to sell as many as twenty million. <v Speaker 1>That's based on preparations Nintendo hasn't made to the switch <v Speaker 1>to supply chain ago They've got twenty million ready to <v Speaker 1>go by comparison the original switch So so just shy <v Speaker 1>of fifteen million units during its first year. Again, I <v Speaker 1>keep talking about this, you can cut back to me. <v Speaker 1>I don't think the switch to is going to have <v Speaker 1>any issue out selling the switch one. <v Speaker 2>Now, I don't know by how much. <v Speaker 1>Obviously Nintendo is predicting what is that at twenty five percent? <v Speaker 2>That's the second time I've asked for the same statistic. <v Speaker 3>I think now, I think it's less than twenty five percent, <v Speaker 3>twenty nys because fifteen to twenty. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, twenty percent when not smart hrem kim is I <v Speaker 2>per five percent is everything. <v Speaker 1>They're they're predicting. They're predicting five million more units sold. <v Speaker 1>I don't think that should be any surprise because again, <v Speaker 1>just to summarize the cliff notes here we you was <v Speaker 1>a failure. Nobody had any trust in Nintendo going into it. <v Speaker 1>Pretty quickly after the first few months, people started to <v Speaker 1>realize the switch slapped and it ballooned after the first <v Speaker 1>few months. But the initial launch obviously had to deal <v Speaker 1>with the weight of the WIU situation of the wild <v Speaker 1>really helped, but it was also cross platform, so there <v Speaker 1>were still plenty of people that didn't feel the need <v Speaker 1>to upgrade. There was a lot working for it and <v Speaker 1>a lot working against it. Whereas this time Nintendo has <v Speaker 1>the trust, it has one hundred and forty million user base, <v Speaker 1>and it might be and it is releasing with a <v Speaker 1>brand new Mario Kart, which is the best selling game <v Speaker 1>in the last Switch and that wasn't even a Switch game. <v Speaker 1>And it's a multiplayer game, which is going to encourage <v Speaker 1>more people to buy it so that they can play <v Speaker 1>with each other. I think there's a lot more working <v Speaker 1>with it. And that's before we even find out about <v Speaker 1>other launch games. <v Speaker 3>Yep. <v Speaker 1>Because the Switch. One where it really struggled at launch <v Speaker 1>was with third party support. Nobody wanted to support that console, <v Speaker 1>other developers because of the WIU, and it took a <v Speaker 1>while before we saw places like Bethesda and Doom supporting it, <v Speaker 1>like six seven eight months later, but launch window there <v Speaker 1>was really no support. We had like eight games at <v Speaker 1>launch and they were one too switch eight. Yeah, it <v Speaker 1>was one to switch bumber Man R. Street Fighter to Arms. <v Speaker 1>H No, I think Arms came later. Yeah, the main one, <v Speaker 1>which is Breath of the Wild, and then a couple others. <v Speaker 1>A couple it was like a there was like a <v Speaker 1>ub Soft old game. I don't know, I can't even remember. <v Speaker 1>Odyssey again was like six seven months later. So yeah, <v Speaker 1>launch window was like eight games. <v Speaker 2>This time, the launch window should have third party support <v Speaker 2>because third party developers have been saying for a long time. <v Speaker 1>They want to support the Switch, so we might not <v Speaker 1>only get Mario Kart, we might also get something like <v Speaker 1>Elden Ring on launch day. We might get something like <v Speaker 1>the new Assassin's Creed on launch day. Because Nintendo has <v Speaker 1>always been really good at working with ub Soft, so ubi. <v Speaker 2>Soft might bring one of their games. <v Speaker 1>We had a Red Steel at launch, which was a <v Speaker 1>ubi Soft game, and the WU had ZOMBIEU at launch, <v Speaker 1>which was a ubi Soft game, so. <v Speaker 2>They might bring a game over. <v Speaker 1>I think this is going to be an explosion of <v Speaker 1>the launch compared to the first one. <v Speaker 2>Have you been hearing about the Halo on Switch rumors? <v Speaker 3>Oh? <v Speaker 1>Yes, yeah, that was also, I believe in Nate the <v Speaker 1>Hate thing that the Halo. I think it was the <v Speaker 1>Master Chief collection, which has pretty much every Halo up <v Speaker 1>until like the new one or the last two, I <v Speaker 1>don't know. Yeah, and also obviously has the multiplayer and <v Speaker 1>online play and everything is rumored to be coming to <v Speaker 1>PlayStation and the Switch. Okay, there's actually a lot of <v Speaker 1>rumors about that. I actually have a snippet in here <v Speaker 1>from Nate the Hate. It'd be great, wouldn't that be great? <v Speaker 1>Nate the Hate great? So in Nate the Hates podcast. <v Speaker 1>This is just my dock. You don't have to show this. <v Speaker 1>The Game Insider speculated a new three D Mario game <v Speaker 1>will be released in December twenty twenty five, so we <v Speaker 1>talked about that with our low I think, but a <v Speaker 1>lot of what Nintendo was doing now is like history <v Speaker 1>repeating itself. It's them trying to recreate the Switch one <v Speaker 1>launch but doing it better. And as Kim said, what <v Speaker 1>came out in that first year for a holiday of <v Speaker 1>for Switch one Mario Odyssey. Yeah, so around December twenty <v Speaker 1>twenty five, he thinks we're gonna get Mario Odyssey two <v Speaker 1>or whatever the other Mario game is, which would most <v Speaker 1>likely with Pokemon Za launching on Switch one and Switch <v Speaker 1>two too in the first six months of this console, <v Speaker 1>give us a new Mario Kart, the long awaited Metroid, <v Speaker 1>a new three D Mario game, and the new Pokemon game, <v Speaker 1>and something from ub you think, and something from everybody, <v Speaker 1>all kinds of elder ring, all kinds of third party support, <v Speaker 1>all kinds of cyberpunk, like who knows what's going to happen? People, <v Speaker 1>third party devs are going to want to get in <v Speaker 1>that ground floor. They're gonna want to be one of <v Speaker 1>the first switch games about the libraries building out. It's <v Speaker 1>going to be the Yeah, it's going to be the start. <v Speaker 1>Everyone's trying to build their library at the start. He <v Speaker 1>also speculated, speaking a third party games Assassin's Creed Mirage, <v Speaker 1>I could see that that was that's not the new one. <v Speaker 1>That's that more recent one. <v Speaker 3>Oh you played that one? Yeah? <v Speaker 1>I did not. <v Speaker 3>No, wait, which one is that one? <v Speaker 1>It's that more recent one. It was it was like <v Speaker 1>eight hours long. No, it was like last year sometimes. Okay, <v Speaker 1>I almost got it when we went to game Stop <v Speaker 1>in that that bundle deal of everything. But that gets <v Speaker 1>you that being that launch game from Ubisoft Final Fantasy <v Speaker 1>seven remake Metal Gear Solid Delta, which I think is <v Speaker 1>that Metal Gear Solid remake. So, uh, those are the <v Speaker 1>games Nate predicted. So if we're all on the Nate <v Speaker 1>train now of thinking that he's. <v Speaker 2>The right, the guy, the guy, then those are the <v Speaker 2>those are everything else? <v Speaker 3>He said, what can it hurt to just assume that <v Speaker 3>he's right? <v Speaker 1>Nothing At this point. He's my he's my lord and savior. <v Speaker 3>He should go on the inside. <v Speaker 2>So I also. <v Speaker 1>Pulled up a list here of confirmed switch to games. <v Speaker 1>I'll let you, guys, I'll just cut to the chase <v Speaker 1>and tell you they're all indie games and half of <v Speaker 1>them look pretty rough. Oh, it's mostly just indie dev's <v Speaker 1>that are like, hey, our game's coming to switch to, <v Speaker 1>so that when people put together lists of confirmed games <v Speaker 1>for switch To, they're on it. And right now they're <v Speaker 1>all that's on it. So the standouts I think I'll <v Speaker 1>just pull out. I'll pull out the three standouts in <v Speaker 1>my in my opinion. Yeah, we'll read that in a second. <v Speaker 1>So the ones I'm not going to pull up best <v Speaker 1>stereo synth beasts or a scope my time at Evershine <v Speaker 1>and Secret Forest because I have no ight. I looked <v Speaker 1>at all the game plan. I didn't think there was <v Speaker 1>that interesting. <v Speaker 2>Oh I have have the audio on this scene now, <v Speaker 2>So this is UK replay lead. You for replay lead? <v Speaker 3>Is that? How can we make this obvious? And it's a. <v Speaker 1>Remake, So it's a remake obviously of Uku Leley. This <v Speaker 1>was famously that one that we looked at on the <v Speaker 1>show because the little Nintendo symbol popped up down here <v Speaker 1>with some eyes and it didn't say Nintendo Switch. So <v Speaker 1>obviously this was them saying this is not coming to <v Speaker 1>Switch one. This is coming to Switch too. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I remember that now. <v Speaker 1>So we had that. And then Kim and I saw <v Speaker 1>this when we went. <v Speaker 2>To pack remember this, yes, homework, it's very links. <v Speaker 3>Awaken a little bit. It was cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's very cute. <v Speaker 3>Spending themselves in combat we've done. <v Speaker 1>And then this one was also at Packs in my <v Speaker 1>Packs video. <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, that was cool. It's called the Lucid thing. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, Metroid meets Celeste kind of. We played this one <v Speaker 1>at Packs two. This is from Matt Black Studios. <v Speaker 2>So again it's it's. <v Speaker 1>Indie games and indie teams being like, yeah, we're coming <v Speaker 1>to the switch. Nothing confirmed other than Mario Cut, which <v Speaker 1>we we didn't really dive into Mario cut last week, <v Speaker 1>and I saw some comments like, oh man, I was <v Speaker 1>hoping they talk about Mario Kart and I just kind <v Speaker 1>of forgot just. <v Speaker 2>For pacing purposes. By the way, so you know, we're <v Speaker 2>at fifty three minutes already. We've been yapping straight up <v Speaker 2>loving it's good. It's good stuff. <v Speaker 1>I'm still going. <v Speaker 2>Yeah. We also got some not yet, we also got <v Speaker 2>some voicemail if you want to get that at some point. Yes, <v Speaker 2>you know, so Mario Kart. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, so if we're were to break down this Mario <v Speaker 1>Kart trailer, I know all these will keep it quick <v Speaker 1>because this has been talked about to death at this point. <v Speaker 1>People noticed that at the start here there are twenty <v Speaker 1>four starting positions, which literally doubles the players from twelve <v Speaker 1>to twenty four. That's really exciting it is it's been <v Speaker 1>twelve players since its conception. I think, other than maybe <v Speaker 1>Super Nintendo might have been eight. Yeah, but since sixty <v Speaker 1>four it's been twelve. <v Speaker 2>That's funny. There's like on my stream on Twitch, like <v Speaker 2>I've played a lot of Mario Kart, and people like <v Speaker 2>some big fun of me for being bad at the game, <v Speaker 2>even though I'm pretty good. So I have an emote <v Speaker 2>in my chat that says twelve, you know, to update, <v Speaker 2>I'm to update to make it twenty fourth one. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, a lot of bad Mario Cutt players are about <v Speaker 1>to start hitting twenty four instead of all that's going <v Speaker 1>to be a lot more soul crushing. I look forward <v Speaker 1>to seeing what new items there are, though, because there's <v Speaker 1>going to be something to be some serious catch up items. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, if you're in twenty four place, I don't want <v Speaker 2>no bullet bill I want to teleport, and it also <v Speaker 2>I feel like it also kind of says to me <v Speaker 2>that there's got to be the circuits have got to <v Speaker 2>be a lot bigger. Oh yeah, if they're going to <v Speaker 2>be twenty four people on them, it. <v Speaker 1>Will have to be bigger. Also, there's probably already twenty <v Speaker 1>four characters in Mario cutt the Loxe, just because there's <v Speaker 1>so many. But at the point where you've got twenty four, <v Speaker 1>you wouldn't want every game. You wouldn't want every game <v Speaker 1>to be the same twenty four characters, geny more choices. Now, <v Speaker 1>one theory that I've seen some people have and I <v Speaker 1>think would be core. They already introduced animal crossing characters <v Speaker 1>Zelder and like link got introduced. What is the next <v Speaker 1>evolution of this series to make Mario cott like Smash cut, I. <v Speaker 3>Just want to see a ganger awkwardly. <v Speaker 1>In the art, like like Nintendo cut, Yes, and like <v Speaker 1>what kind of characters could we get in a in <v Speaker 1>a Nintendo cut any characters that have been why not? <v Speaker 2>What would your what would my favorite Smash character be <v Speaker 2>in a cart in a Mario Kart game? <v Speaker 1>I mean just imagine racing with like uh, like Cloud <v Speaker 1>and sepher off and Cloud could have his bike. <v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, like like fought like fox on like his uh. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, like he could have like a like a starship. <v Speaker 2>But he's got a lab Master. <v Speaker 1>He's got a star But also, like, we don't know <v Speaker 1>what's happening with Smash Brothers yet. We don't know when <v Speaker 1>or if we're getting another one, and even when we do, <v Speaker 1>we don't know if it's going to be a situation <v Speaker 1>where we get all these cool DLC characters all the time. <v Speaker 1>New people added, what if Mario Cutt takes that slot? <v Speaker 1>What if we releases with X amount of characters and <v Speaker 1>then every direct there's a Mario Cutt reveal character instead <v Speaker 1>of a Smash reveal character. <v Speaker 2>That would be really exciting. <v Speaker 1>And then we get all the mebos for the Mario <v Speaker 1>Kart characters with the little cars. That'd be sick. I'm <v Speaker 1>just saying that'd be really sick. That'd be pretty so yeah. <v Speaker 2>Anyway. <v Speaker 1>Also, Bob pointed out that near the end of this <v Speaker 1>you can you can count sixteen players on the track, <v Speaker 1>which is definitely alluding to being more than twelve of <v Speaker 1>either way, when you're looking at leveling up Mario Kart. <v Speaker 1>Other than making it, you know, like Smash Like I said, <v Speaker 1>I mean, the next thing is to like add more people. <v Speaker 1>Nintendo has already been experimenting with stuff like that. They <v Speaker 1>keep doing like Tetris ninety nine, Mario thirty five. <v Speaker 2>See. That's the other thing too about that is that <v Speaker 2>like if you if you do make it like Smash cart, right, <v Speaker 2>then you can kind of add the element of every <v Speaker 2>player having their own sort of like special special attack, right, <v Speaker 2>because you imagine like that would be still like samuson <v Speaker 2>a cart, you know, and she can shoot her thing. <v Speaker 2>She could just flish, she flies for a bit. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>she could just take take to the sky. I mean. <v Speaker 1>Also, even in like a Super Mario Jamboree, they added <v Speaker 1>a new minigame where it's like fifty people or something <v Speaker 1>running around a racetrack just on foot while you're doing <v Speaker 1>minigames off to the side. It's that mentality. Nintendo keeps <v Speaker 1>adding in more and more players. I think they're really <v Speaker 1>liking this idea of more people playing in one game. <v Speaker 1>Even their secret MMO. I don't know if you were <v Speaker 1>here for those episodes, the secret MMO they did behind <v Speaker 1>Closed Doors. It's an MMO. It's getting more and more <v Speaker 1>people into one thing. It seems to be where their <v Speaker 1>mind is going. Also, people pointed out this looks like <v Speaker 1>a pit stop here with some item that you you <v Speaker 1>can't really tell what this item is. So maybe some <v Speaker 1>people are theorizing you run out of gas. Oh, and <v Speaker 1>maybe you pull in here to get some gas. <v Speaker 2>It could be like just be one of those side <v Speaker 2>items sometimes they have like single item boxes. <v Speaker 1>Yes, it could be interested to see it, but they <v Speaker 1>they've taken that there's no items that you can see, <v Speaker 1>but they intentionally left this one in which I think <v Speaker 1>is like something new, something different that just then intend to <v Speaker 1>agrede at these little little secrets. Also, Kim and I <v Speaker 1>just watched the Cause movie Yeah Cause one for the <v Speaker 1>first time is Kim had never seen it, so I <v Speaker 1>wanted to show it. <v Speaker 2>And this whole time I'm looking at this. <v Speaker 3>I can't like. <v Speaker 1>It looks like Gradiator Springs. It looks like there's going <v Speaker 1>to be a crossover with the Lightning McQueen. <v Speaker 3>I'm looking at all the new cars. <v Speaker 2>Did that say Luigi, what can you go? Back a <v Speaker 2>little bit on the sign as they routed the corner <v Speaker 2>Luigi tires Tires. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, people have done a lot of breakdowns. I don't <v Speaker 1>really know what I'm looking at with the cars. This <v Speaker 1>new college. <v Speaker 3>Mario's looks like an upgraded version of his, but like <v Speaker 3>Luigi's looks now. <v Speaker 2>The other thing that Kim wanted me to point out, <v Speaker 2>and I'm not sure where he's hiring. He's in here, <v Speaker 2>isn't there? <v Speaker 3>Okay you can see. <v Speaker 1>I can't zoom in. They made Donkey Kong look kind <v Speaker 1>of will his movie Counterpot with the sunken in eyes. <v Speaker 3>I think it's cute. People were mad, it's just weird. <v Speaker 2>Because it's it's it's I like it. <v Speaker 1>It's cute. <v Speaker 2>But we've had the. <v Speaker 1>Video game Marios and and that universe and then the movie. <v Speaker 3>But I just feel like he hasn't had an upgrade <v Speaker 3>in so long. <v Speaker 1>To make him to make him look like the movie <v Speaker 1>one in a Mario Cuck game, change his direction in <v Speaker 1>a Mario Cuck game. <v Speaker 2>Is a choice. <v Speaker 3>I don't think he completely looks like the movie one. <v Speaker 3>I think he just looks like an updated version. And <v Speaker 3>I think it matches what's in the parks. <v Speaker 2>Okay, this is this is I think it looks like <v Speaker 2>this is coke. This is cope right here. But what <v Speaker 2>if there's like skins, you know, I hope not like <v Speaker 2>paid skins. No, no, not paid skins. Different. Yeah, like <v Speaker 2>you can pick like the new one. Yeah. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, maybe I don't think that doesn't sound very Nintendo. <v Speaker 2>It doesn't, although it is. Well they have different out Yeah, if. <v Speaker 3>They're going the Smash route, that might be kind of cool. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, well maybe dope. <v Speaker 1>We'll see. All right, that's Mario Catt that's us breaking <v Speaker 1>down that. I'm just I'm very excited to play it. <v Speaker 2>You know what I've always wanted in Mario Kart though, <v Speaker 2>and this goes in line with the same thing about <v Speaker 2>the Smash. I want it like a campaign in Mario Kart. <v Speaker 3>Oh, like a story. Yeah, they've never done that. <v Speaker 2>I would love to see that. <v Speaker 3>That would be cool. And then you could unlock the <v Speaker 3>characters like you do in Smash. Yeah, that'd be cool. <v Speaker 1>Some people in chat saying, he looks dorky. <v Speaker 3>I liked it. He looks dorky. <v Speaker 1>It's a dorky it looks like the SNSs Kung. I mean, okay, <v Speaker 1>if you guys like it, I mean I don't hate it. <v Speaker 1>I actually I actually do like it. I just don't <v Speaker 1>know if it's if it's taken from the movie, because <v Speaker 1>the same thing happened with Prince Peach. Princess Peach on <v Speaker 1>the cover of her Last. <v Speaker 3>Name game, it looked like the movie one. <v Speaker 1>They well, they updated it because originally it looked like her, <v Speaker 1>and then they updated the cover before it came out <v Speaker 1>to look like the movie version. So I think after <v Speaker 1>the movie's huge success, Nintendo was just like, these characters <v Speaker 1>look good. Everyone just saw the movie and they like <v Speaker 1>the way they look in the movie. <v Speaker 2>Let's lean in. <v Speaker 1>Towards the way that looked. <v Speaker 3>Why not? <v Speaker 2>I mean, yeah, why. <v Speaker 3>Not shating the character as long as it's not ugly? <v Speaker 1>Who cares to be honest. <v Speaker 3>I liked the Peach change, It's cute. <v Speaker 1>The Donkey Kong change is like a different style. <v Speaker 3>I kind of like it's more round. <v Speaker 1>Me see if there's like a a before and after <v Speaker 1>his little make o. That's not how you spell that. <v Speaker 2>It's not as well as Donkey Kong give up New <v Speaker 2>Mario Kart before and after. <v Speaker 1>Let's see if someone is doing the hard work for me. Picture, <v Speaker 1>here's a there's a little five minute video. Oh, here <v Speaker 1>we go. <v Speaker 2>I think it's cute. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, make it big before here's a nintender life off. <v Speaker 3>Oh it looks like a driver's liscense photo or guy see. <v Speaker 2>I don't know what did they do to my boy? <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 1>He's not the same. He looks like a generic monkey now, <v Speaker 1>like a generic cartoon monkey. This is clearly Donkey Kong. <v Speaker 1>This looks like this looks like when you go to <v Speaker 1>you know how down the road there's a shwama place <v Speaker 1>that is called a Laddin Shwama and they have the <v Speaker 1>bootleg and. <v Speaker 2>They have a bootleg like a Laddin. This was like <v Speaker 2>a boot like someone's in a bootleg banana stand and <v Speaker 2>they're like and they're like Donkey King's bananas. It just <v Speaker 2>doesn't look like Donkey. <v Speaker 1>Kongy King King's bananas frozen Danky Kings bananas. <v Speaker 3>Like. <v Speaker 2>It's not bad, it's just kind of generically. <v Speaker 3>I think the problem tie he's covering it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, yeah. <v Speaker 5>I think the problem for me is I've seen so <v Speaker 5>many ugly remakes of characters lately. When I saw this <v Speaker 5>was like, Oh, thank God, it's not that bad. <v Speaker 3>He's just he's cute. <v Speaker 1>Is he's cute? I just feel like there's something missing <v Speaker 1>that's preventing him from tie No in his face. It's <v Speaker 1>preventing him from looking recognizably like donkeys. It's a bad photo, <v Speaker 1>it's too round. <v Speaker 2>What if he's a different character entirely? <v Speaker 1>What if I just don't really care and I really <v Speaker 1>don't I don't even like Donkey Kong. Can I be honest? <v Speaker 2>Scoot? <v Speaker 3>Now? <v Speaker 2>I know that will play? Is him? <v Speaker 3>I love Donkey Kong country. <v Speaker 1>To I don't, But I just I'm not even a <v Speaker 1>big Donkey Kong. I don't have no right to be <v Speaker 1>talking about this. Hey, if you are Donkey Kong fan <v Speaker 1>and you love the way it looks, happy for you, <v Speaker 1>Happy for you? <v Speaker 3>If you hate it, I'm sorry. <v Speaker 2>Kim likes it and you're a fan. We need all this, Scoots, <v Speaker 2>it matters a lot. <v Speaker 1>The woman, the rap No I seen the rat who <v Speaker 1>everyone's seen. <v Speaker 3>The raps cutting edge for its time? <v Speaker 1>What did you say? <v Speaker 2>I said? We need to know what scoots opinion? <v Speaker 3>What a thing? <v Speaker 1>I'm surprised currently calling me. <v Speaker 2>He wasn't chat earlier? <v Speaker 3>Oh no, is he still? <v Speaker 2>I don't know? <v Speaker 3>Tell us what you think about the monkey man? <v Speaker 1>God, I had a lot to talk about. I didn't <v Speaker 1>think i'd have so much switch to I I can't <v Speaker 1>promise this channel, this podcast isn't going to become switched <v Speaker 1>to every week because I'm so excited and I don't <v Speaker 1>know what else we're going to talk about. But I <v Speaker 1>didn't think i'd have this much to say in a <v Speaker 1>follow up episode. <v Speaker 3>We didn't even get the half of there's a lot <v Speaker 3>to talk about now. <v Speaker 1>So I'm gonna try and power through a couple here, okay, <v Speaker 1>just to get through everything so that don't bleed into <v Speaker 1>next week. And we didn't, and we have this cold <v Speaker 1>ass McDonald's. <v Speaker 2>Now. Yeah, I mean, what do you what are you <v Speaker 2>gonna do? I grabbed this some Uh yeah, let's explain. <v Speaker 2>She just got to do is listen, Kim, If you <v Speaker 2>eat one French try, I'll be happy because then I <v Speaker 2>can say I bought your son his first happy meal. <v Speaker 3>Oh my good. Here we go, there you. <v Speaker 2>Go, let's go, Uncle Ham. Why why do we have this? <v Speaker 2>The Pokemon cards? The Pokemon cards in here? Do you <v Speaker 2>want to do them real quick? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, we've all got our we've all got our own already. <v Speaker 1>He stopped by McDonald's on the way here because I <v Speaker 1>guess there's some Pokemon clap. <v Speaker 2>There's a great quasa on the box. Yeah, they didn't <v Speaker 2>have multiple boxes. There's like nine. <v Speaker 1>I might do a munch of this cheese. Wait, this <v Speaker 1>is a hamburger. <v Speaker 2>I thought I asked for two of them to be <v Speaker 2>cheeseburgers and one of them to be doggies. Oh you want. <v Speaker 1>Okay, this is cheeseburger. <v Speaker 2>I assume somebody. Oh they got like they got a <v Speaker 2>little they I'm the only one opening the goddamn they're <v Speaker 2>just eating over there. They's got they got I got <v Speaker 2>the toy over here, they got the stickers. <v Speaker 1>You can nugget. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and there's also a we hold on before. It's <v Speaker 2>in a little little box. And this is a poster. <v Speaker 2>It is. <v Speaker 1>All right, cut to me, very very I'm gonna bust <v Speaker 1>my pack. <v Speaker 2>All right, you bust your full additional game thoughts. I <v Speaker 2>don't know if they're gonna be able to see. <v Speaker 3>This look like build a little guy. Oh, I gotta, <v Speaker 3>I gotta. <v Speaker 2>I got a shiny really at the gate, I got <v Speaker 2>a drampa. <v Speaker 1>I don't know if you guys can see that. I <v Speaker 1>got a hollow drampa. I don't know how to show these. <v Speaker 1>Oh I got chowers on Oh digit wait you. <v Speaker 4>Did? <v Speaker 2>It's not shiny? <v Speaker 1>Is that good. <v Speaker 2>I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Maybe oh I got a shiny Pikachu. <v Speaker 1>How do I show people? <v Speaker 3>I don't know, you'd have to get to get right <v Speaker 3>up there in their face? <v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, that's showers are. At least it's not even <v Speaker 2>focused on do hold your hand behind it. <v Speaker 3>You go like a beauty YouTuber. There you go, there <v Speaker 3>you go, perfect, Wow, you got you got? What shiny? <v Speaker 3>Did you get? <v Speaker 2>Grandpa? I got a Pikachu, I got, I got a yoke, <v Speaker 2>I got I gotta I gotta ride on? Okay, that's <v Speaker 2>what Bill. Also, I also got a Charizard, so there <v Speaker 2>you go. Yeah, that's me nice. Let's go all right? <v Speaker 3>Yes, cool, thank you. <v Speaker 1>A couple of quick things to wrap up the show here. <v Speaker 1>Astral Chain might be getting a sequel. We don't really <v Speaker 1>even have to talk about this too long. I loved <v Speaker 1>astral Chain. It was really I thought it was awesome. <v Speaker 1>Honestly one of my favorite action hacken slash style games <v Speaker 1>made by Platinum. It only sold I say only, it <v Speaker 1>sold a million, which is pretty good for like a <v Speaker 1>new ip in a genre that people often don't really <v Speaker 1>care too much about. I feel like it's kind of niche, <v Speaker 1>but Platinum hasn't done anything for like five years, and <v Speaker 1>they've been completely silent, and they recently went on record <v Speaker 1>saying we're still working on stuff. So now people were like, <v Speaker 1>is this astral Chain too. I honestly don't think it <v Speaker 1>did well enough to get a sequel. You have to <v Speaker 1>imagine that a million people played the first one. You're <v Speaker 1>gonna hit maybe what half of them. If you're lucky, <v Speaker 1>you're gonna be making a game for half a million people. <v Speaker 1>I think Platinum has so much raw talent when it <v Speaker 1>comes to games like this. They also made Beyonetta. I <v Speaker 1>think your efforts are better off just trying another new <v Speaker 1>ip and just making like fun, hacking slash style games. <v Speaker 1>I kind of hope that's what they do, just because <v Speaker 1>I want to see them have success. If ultimately they <v Speaker 1>just make Extra Chain too, I'm here for it because <v Speaker 1>I love the first one. I just think it's way <v Speaker 1>too niche. Yeah, so that's that. <v Speaker 2>So I'm munching on a cheeseburger. We still don't know <v Speaker 2>a lot about the Switch. <v Speaker 1>We don't have to talk about it now, but one <v Speaker 1>of the biggest things was that damn sea button, and <v Speaker 1>I just wanted to have a speculation chat, but maybe <v Speaker 1>we can do it in the bonus episode with the <v Speaker 1>Patreons could do oh And then someone tweeted this at <v Speaker 1>me and they were like, is this what ham was <v Speaker 1>talking about in the last episode, this little divot thing? <v Speaker 1>And I don't think that's what you meant. <v Speaker 2>It is, and it isn't. It's more like, yeah, I mean, <v Speaker 2>I guess it kind of is. <v Speaker 4>There. <v Speaker 2>There's a lot more separation between the joy Con and <v Speaker 2>the screen in the original Switch right. I feel like <v Speaker 2>I feel like those entities are made so separate, but <v Speaker 2>then on the switch to they're made to be the same, unified. <v Speaker 2>They're like nice, yeah, no, sure. But at the same <v Speaker 2>time though, I like the fact that with the switch right, <v Speaker 2>because like the first thing I did when we were <v Speaker 2>talking earlier about like uh like colored joy cons, right, <v Speaker 2>Like the first thing that I did, like one of <v Speaker 2>the first things I did was I bought the newest <v Speaker 2>Mario party on the original Mario Party for the switch <v Speaker 2>Mario Parties Super Mario. I don't know whatever it was. <v Speaker 2>It whatever it was, but they had the thing that <v Speaker 2>came with the two new color joy cons, like the <v Speaker 2>bright pink and the bright green. Like I love that <v Speaker 2>you know, I love like a lot of like bright <v Speaker 2>colors and a lot of like different things to like <v Speaker 2>decorate in this and that whatever, you know, And I <v Speaker 2>think that with this, it's gonna look weird to have <v Speaker 2>like brightly color joy cons attached to this like unified <v Speaker 2>body design. You know, that's it's gonna be. Yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>what was confusing me though, because once you attach those <v Speaker 2>new joy cons, it's not unified anymore exactly. <v Speaker 1>You're adding new joy cons. Yeah, so it's it's it's moot. <v Speaker 2>Well, what do you know. What I'm saying is that <v Speaker 2>what I'm saying is gonna look weird. That's all it is. <v Speaker 1>Like, let me try and wrap my head around this <v Speaker 1>one more time. Sure, the old one isn't unified at <v Speaker 1>its base because of the colored joy cons. Yes, the <v Speaker 1>new ones unified now because the joy cons that come <v Speaker 1>with it are the same color as the thing. When <v Speaker 1>you switch those joy cons out, you're immediately ununifying it <v Speaker 1>and creating the same situation you had on the switch one. <v Speaker 1>So my thing was you could do it. You can <v Speaker 1>still do it. It doesn't change anything. <v Speaker 3>To see what it looks like with colored joy cons. <v Speaker 3>That's my thing. <v Speaker 2>It's so hard for me to explain. I'm just I <v Speaker 2>give up. Somebody in the comments last episode understood what <v Speaker 2>I was saying. Shouts out to that person. I don't <v Speaker 2>know what their name was, but reading the comments like <v Speaker 2>I'm with him, but blah this and that, I was like, Okay, <v Speaker 2>somebody understands what I'm saying. <v Speaker 1>I brought it up because I thought it was the <v Speaker 1>divots and I thought we cracked the code. <v Speaker 2>It's a part of it, but it's not. It's it's more, <v Speaker 2>it's a more nuanced thing. <v Speaker 5>I would say, I just want to see what it <v Speaker 5>looks like with colored joy cots. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, it'll so it'll look exactly like the first one. Period. <v Speaker 3>I just think I would prefer Yeah, that's just me. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we'll get okay, I'm sure there'll be colored joy CONTs. <v Speaker 2>At some point. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, you can get a little case. <v Speaker 1>You can get third party ones or something. Yeah, all right, cool, <v Speaker 1>I think we've touched it all. I really have to pee. <v Speaker 1>M We got a bonus episode to do, so we'll do, uh. <v Speaker 2>Do some voicemail the bonus. Well, I've got four I'll <v Speaker 2>pick one big one. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's see what I got to chatter The <v Speaker 1>day lined up to and no, uh no. <v Speaker 2>If you want to leave a voicemail, the number is <v Speaker 2>on the screen right now. <v Speaker 4>Uh. <v Speaker 1>We listened and we answer voicemail every single week. <v Speaker 2>Discord wasn't open, and I am showing update one to <v Speaker 2>fifteen on it col col so you could play it <v Speaker 2>on your end. It it'll work. Oh really yeah, Actually, <v Speaker 2>if you want to just I don't know which one, <v Speaker 2>just pick one. <v Speaker 1>Which one is the smallest file size? <v Speaker 4>I would I have the second graps on the baby. <v Speaker 4>I wanted to know your thoughts on do you think <v Speaker 4>the which two games are gonna be seven dollars? Do <v Speaker 4>you think they're going to be temp of sixty? And <v Speaker 4>also I think is the best part of the show. <v Speaker 2>All right, Okay, for this question, I was like, I <v Speaker 2>was like, Alexa stuff. Admittedly for this one, I was like, <v Speaker 2>all right, we've had better quality questions in the past. <v Speaker 2>No offense to this viewer, but they did say something <v Speaker 2>pretty nice about me then, so he's got Okay. <v Speaker 1>You know, I actually loved the question he asked because <v Speaker 1>I forgot to talk about it in the episode, but <v Speaker 1>ignoring him because of what he said at the and <v Speaker 1>let's go to the next one. <v Speaker 2>Let me have this. <v Speaker 1>When he left the voicemail, it was just to my phone, <v Speaker 1>So I feel like you got left out of that. <v Speaker 1>But also congratulations to you. Yeah, I just want to <v Speaker 1>let you know that you're that you're included in that. <v Speaker 1>I don't think he meant to leave you out. <v Speaker 3>I assume that he just meant to both of us. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, definitely, yeah, because I, oh God, and with child, <v Speaker 1>I cut that out of the I think I cut <v Speaker 1>that out of I don't know. <v Speaker 2>One of the first comments in the chat today was <v Speaker 2>that was what doesn't even look pregnant. <v Speaker 1>I keep saying to Kim that I'm with child and <v Speaker 1>telling people that I'm with child because I am with child. <v Speaker 2>There is a child. <v Speaker 1>I am with child. Yeah, that's quickly the sixty to <v Speaker 1>seventy thing. I'm not sure if Nintendo has said yet. <v Speaker 1>Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe chat can let me know. I <v Speaker 1>think it'll be seventy. <v Speaker 3>Going up. The cost of everything is going up. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm not sure. So I'm not sure. I think <v Speaker 1>it will seventy for a couple of reasons. Let's let's <v Speaker 1>start with third party. For example, Nintendo wants third party support. <v Speaker 1>They want people designing games for their console, and they <v Speaker 1>want people investing the time and bringing their games to <v Speaker 1>the Switch to So if as a developer, you're like, <v Speaker 1>where should I release my game? While on Switch I <v Speaker 1>can only sell it for sixty, but on Xbox I <v Speaker 1>can sell it for seventy or PlayStation sell for seventy, <v Speaker 1>you're going to put more focus into the one where <v Speaker 1>you can sell more. So I think if Nintendo want <v Speaker 1>to be competitive, I think prices of their games have <v Speaker 1>to go up alongside the industry char I think so. <v Speaker 1>I think it's only fair as well to the developers <v Speaker 1>that support Switch that they can make as much as <v Speaker 1>they can elsewhere. <v Speaker 3>Exactly. <v Speaker 1>So, the conversation of should games be seventy as side, <v Speaker 1>I think because that's the way that we're leaning as <v Speaker 1>an industry, and now people are talking about GTA five <v Speaker 1>or six maybe being one hundred dollars, I think yes, <v Speaker 1>the prices of games for third parties well will and <v Speaker 1>probably should go up to seventy on Switch, and then <v Speaker 1>Nintendo's own games obviously we've seen Teas of the Kingdom <v Speaker 1>already go up to seventy. I do think that it <v Speaker 1>would be weird if all their new games are sixty, <v Speaker 1>But then all third party games are seventy, and Nintendo <v Speaker 1>can definitely charge seventy. And I think if any game <v Speaker 1>deserved seventy, it's probably a Nintendo game, not like Skull <v Speaker 1>and Bones. You know, no shade to U BEI Soft, <v Speaker 1>who we do love on this channel. So yeah, I <v Speaker 1>think seventy is going to be the way to go. <v Speaker 1>Why were you laughing through that whole speech. <v Speaker 2>I'm sorry, I just it's because I it's it's not relevant, <v Speaker 2>so you could finish what you have to say. I finished, okay, <v Speaker 2>because because I'm I'm like, I don't know. We hit it. <v Speaker 2>We did mention this. But part of the reason that <v Speaker 2>we have voicemails and messages right now is because of <v Speaker 2>a little studt I pulled on Instagram yesterday because I <v Speaker 2>made it seem like I was fired from the podcast <v Speaker 2>again and I was leaking your phone number as like <v Speaker 2>a as an f you to you sort of thing. <v Speaker 2>And it's just one of the text messages we got <v Speaker 2>on the Google Voice number. By the way, the eccuse <v Speaker 2>was it? Wood Hamm has become one of my favorite <v Speaker 2>parts of Nontended Podcasts. Stop firing him bringing back for <v Speaker 2>the podcast this Thursday, he doesn't deserve to have to <v Speaker 2>work at McDonald's. But with the name Ham and Cheddar, <v Speaker 2>shouldn't he think about applying for Arby's instead? Sounds more appropriate? <v Speaker 2>And then they just kind of go on, so there <v Speaker 2>you go. They also said, congrats for being good pair, <v Speaker 2>you'll be good parents whatever. Oh that stuff too. <v Speaker 1>Well, you're looking really you have a blown now, I <v Speaker 1>know it's crazy. <v Speaker 3>Uh, you brought Usconalds. <v Speaker 1>Today, So yeah, I did. I don't know. I don't <v Speaker 1>know what that says about you. <v Speaker 2>Says I want to work there, you know, he says. <v Speaker 1>A grown man pulled through McDonald's Darthan today and asked <v Speaker 1>for three kids Happy Meal toys. <v Speaker 2>I did, maybe I have a kid. Maybe I have <v Speaker 2>three kids? Maybe kids? <v Speaker 1>You left them all at home? <v Speaker 2>You know, maybe I did? Yeah, yeah, grown man going <v Speaker 2>out for work. <v Speaker 1>I was surprised there was there was technically a baby <v Speaker 1>you were buying. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna be honest with you, By the way, that's <v Speaker 2>not what happened. Okay. I went through the drive through <v Speaker 2>and I said, do you guys sell the Happy Meal <v Speaker 2>toys on their own? <v Speaker 1>Right? <v Speaker 2>Because I was willing to buy like thirty I hate <v Speaker 2>when they and they said no, so I said, all right, <v Speaker 2>well let me get it. Sometimes you'll go and they'll <v Speaker 2>say yes. Because I saw on Reddit the other day <v Speaker 2>some guy was like like, I'm ready for my haul <v Speaker 2>and he's got a fucking McDonald's bag with like thirty packs. <v Speaker 2>And then I went like, I want that. <v Speaker 1>When I walked to McDonald's. We would sell them separately <v Speaker 1>all the time. There was a button for it, but <v Speaker 1>some locations the manager doesn't want to and I think <v Speaker 1>it's because I don't want to run out. <v Speaker 2>They have the button for it still, by the way, <v Speaker 2>because when I got one. I got one the other day, I. <v Speaker 1>Like, can you but can you imagine like some kid <v Speaker 1>comes through so excited to get a happy meal and <v Speaker 1>there's no toy, but because some thirty five year old <v Speaker 1>of them. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's what's happening with Pokemon cards. Little kids are <v Speaker 3>not getting them. You see those cost Co videos. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we reacted to those last week. <v Speaker 2>That's it. <v Speaker 1>I think that's it. <v Speaker 2>That's it. <v Speaker 1>That was the thing I was going to see. <v Speaker 2>You guys look like you're sitting in the dark now, <v Speaker 2>and I look like I've got the sun. <v Speaker 3>I know. <v Speaker 2>That's the lighting has changed so much has changed dramatically <v Speaker 2>in here. <v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, people were like, GDA, GDA. Someone in chats <v Speaker 1>with JD six one hundred. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what that was about. <v Speaker 1>I didn't read that article. <v Speaker 3>That's like a special edition one. <v Speaker 1>No, there's been rumors that that game might be one <v Speaker 1>hundred dollars just because they've been developing it for so <v Speaker 1>long and it's so expensive, like millions and billions of <v Speaker 1>dollars when into that. <v Speaker 2>Game, would that would suck? But I would pay a <v Speaker 2>hundred That's the thing. <v Speaker 1>There's a conversation around. There's a conversation around should that <v Speaker 1>game be one hundred to reward rock Star for taking <v Speaker 1>that time releasing a game that's a one time sale, <v Speaker 1>no micro transactions. <v Speaker 2>It's one of the best games. There will be micro <v Speaker 2>transactions eventually. <v Speaker 1>In the online yeh, the online aspects for sure, but <v Speaker 1>not the actual base game. If you just want to <v Speaker 1>buy it and enjoy it. <v Speaker 2>And there are people that legitimately say they would spend <v Speaker 2>one hundred on that game. <v Speaker 3>I think it's worth it to a lot of people. <v Speaker 1>I think it's one hundred percent worth it, and I <v Speaker 1>would spend the money and a lot of people would, <v Speaker 1>and I would have no regrets. The issue is it <v Speaker 1>opens the door and it sets the president that you <v Speaker 1>can now charge one hundred dollars for a game. And <v Speaker 1>now suddenly it allows companies like EA and Microsoft and <v Speaker 1>You'd be Soft and all of that to look at <v Speaker 1>that games and be like, well, what could we charge <v Speaker 1>one hundred dollars for? And maybe our game's a ninety <v Speaker 1>dollar game. Maybe our game is an eighty dollar game. <v Speaker 3>You're going to get humbled very quickly when nobody buys that. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, well no one buys that games now. But it's <v Speaker 1>a it's a scary slope to go down. <v Speaker 5>I think it just depends, like if it's like if <v Speaker 5>they had done Cyberpunk correctly from the jump, I think <v Speaker 5>they could have gotten more money for it. And with GTA, <v Speaker 5>I think definitely. <v Speaker 1>If Cyberpunk was everything they promised and literally which in Cyberpunk, <v Speaker 1>we paid more for that that game was supposed to <v Speaker 1>be one hundred dollars game. Instead, that game's a boggin <v Speaker 1>bin by to get one free game. Sometimes, all right, <v Speaker 1>I got a per real bad Where what time are <v Speaker 1>we apt? <v Speaker 2>Oh we're we're so good right now, We're now in twenty. <v Speaker 2>We're solid, all right, Yeah, for sure. <v Speaker 1>How you doing. <v Speaker 3>You want some chicken nuggets? I'm great. <v Speaker 1>You want to bonus it or you want to dip. <v Speaker 3>I can do. What are we gonna do with the book? <v Speaker 1>Shoot the shoot the crap? All right, guys, we're gonna <v Speaker 1>get out of here. We're gonna do a bonus episode <v Speaker 1>for patreons. A lot of new people signed. <v Speaker 2>Up last week. Yeah, it was actually one of the <v Speaker 2>biggest influxes we've had. And we signed up this week too. <v Speaker 2>That was really awesome. Thank you so much.
