WWE Raw Review: Punk & Seth Brawl, Breakker vs Kaiser for the IC Title, Balor & McDonough vs War Raiders for Tag Team Titles

<v Speaker 2>Time to talk Monday Night Raw on this Tuesday, the
<v Speaker 2>seventeenth day of December twenty twenty four. And we've got
<v Speaker 2>a lot to discuss with Monday Night Raw that took
<v Speaker 2>place post the Saturday Night Main Event. And if you
<v Speaker 2>guys didn't know, I didn't know, and maybe you did,
<v Speaker 2>and you're paying attention more than I am. The Saturday
<v Speaker 2>Night Main Event is continuing, meaning there's another event January
<v Speaker 2>twenty fifth. There's another Saturday Night Main event between now
<v Speaker 2>and the Royal Rumble January twenty fifth, and the San
<v Speaker 2>Antonio at San Antonio, Texas and the Frost Bank Center
<v Speaker 2>is going to be the next quasipl I still don't
<v Speaker 2>really treat these as real ples. They're just kind of
<v Speaker 2>hold me overs. No disrespect to the name, But for
<v Speaker 2>most of us, Saturday Night Main Event, most of us,
<v Speaker 2>if you were in your thirties or earlier, you probably
<v Speaker 2>didn't have a lot of you don't have a lot
<v Speaker 2>of fond memories of Saturday Night Main Event. WW has
<v Speaker 2>tried a couple of times to resurrect it, but they're
<v Speaker 2>bringing it back, and it is kind of a nice
<v Speaker 2>small pit stop between now and the Rumble, which feels
<v Speaker 2>like an eternity away, which is February first in Indianapolis
<v Speaker 2>and Indiana at the Lucas Oil Stadium. So we have
<v Speaker 2>some time. We certainly have some time, a little less
<v Speaker 2>than fifty days until the Royal Rumble, which will go quickly.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, we get past Christmas in New Year's and
<v Speaker 2>then okay, all of a sudden, you know, you're in
<v Speaker 2>the second week of January, and like, all right, I've
<v Speaker 2>got like, you know, three weeks till World Rumble. It's
<v Speaker 2>gonna go like that it always does. So after that
<v Speaker 2>it is just Chamber and it is WrestleMania. But let's
<v Speaker 2>dive into Monday Night Raw and we'll start here at
<v Speaker 2>the top of the show, see him. Punk comes out,
<v Speaker 2>and Punk said that we need to be careful because
<v Speaker 2>some people might get mad if you chant his name,
<v Speaker 2>and he also called out a fan in the front
<v Speaker 2>row for having the balls to wear a New York
<v Speaker 2>shirt in Boston, and Punk delivered it's his it is
<v Speaker 2>great to be a live line, which I really don't
<v Speaker 2>like that line. It's it's I don't know all right, well,
<v Speaker 2>Punk said he was feeling a little low and in
<v Speaker 2>a bad mood. He recalled Seth Rollins, indicating that he
<v Speaker 2>thinks about him a lot, and telling Rollins he doesn't
<v Speaker 2>think about him at all, and Punk said he's in
<v Speaker 2>a bad mood because Rollins is right. Punk said, as
<v Speaker 2>much as he'd like to put their issues aside in
<v Speaker 2>the past and avoid it, it's only a matter of
<v Speaker 2>time before they meet in the ring, and Punk said
<v Speaker 2>he knows when he's addressing the fans, Rollin's stupid music
<v Speaker 2>would hit and he'd come, would could come in clogs.
<v Speaker 2>Punk compared Rollins to Liberaci and then said it's not
<v Speaker 2>an insult because he thinks Liberacci is cool as hell.
<v Speaker 2>And Punk said wearing Elton John sunglasses doesn't make you
<v Speaker 2>Elton John. And Punk said that just because Rollins grew
<v Speaker 2>up worshiping worshiping CM Punk doesn't make him seem punk.
<v Speaker 2>And Punk said that if Rollins wants to interrupt him,
<v Speaker 2>he'd give the wrestling lesson that he asked four years
<v Speaker 2>ago for free, and asked Rollins if he's tougher then
<v Speaker 2>Drew McIntyre. Punk said Rollins might think he is, but
<v Speaker 2>Boston knows that Rollins isn't, and said that there wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>be enough staples to put Rollins back together once he's
<v Speaker 2>done with him, and he expressed surprise that this didn't
<v Speaker 2>piss off Rollins enough to come out. Punk noted that
<v Speaker 2>the fans chanted his name during the Rollins promos, and
<v Speaker 2>that's when Seth Rollins appeared in the crowd and was
<v Speaker 2>chanting Punk's name. Rollin said that life is about perspective,
<v Speaker 2>so he thought he might see Punk differently if he
<v Speaker 2>got a perspective of the fans, and Rollins said that
<v Speaker 2>even from where he was standing, Punk is still an
<v Speaker 2>a hole. Punk said he was overjoyed that Rollins didn't
<v Speaker 2>come out to his stupid song and said Rollins was
<v Speaker 2>in the right spot with the rest of the sea
<v Speaker 2>and Punk fans. He said he put Rollin said he
<v Speaker 2>put the company on his back when Punk hoped it
<v Speaker 2>would fail without him, and he said this fan has
<v Speaker 2>more Wrestlemanium made events than you ever will, which I
<v Speaker 2>mean obviously is true. And the one thing that continues
<v Speaker 2>to eat away at Phil Brooks is the idea that,
<v Speaker 2>in the fact that he has not yet had a
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania main event, that does I'm sure torch him. So
<v Speaker 2>rollins and walk down the steps, brawl breaks out, brawl
<v Speaker 2>breaks out, bral breaks out. You guys know the deal.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like we see a pull up art brawl
<v Speaker 2>multiple times every single week, and I have mixed feelings
<v Speaker 2>on it. I like them, but also I feel like
<v Speaker 2>WWE's overusing them. Now in this case, it makes sense.
<v Speaker 2>You only want to give the fans a little bit
<v Speaker 2>of a teaser between these two before you presumably put
<v Speaker 2>them together in a future matchup, which obviously we do
<v Speaker 2>know is going to happen, so there's no question about that.
<v Speaker 2>In fact, it's scheduled for wait for it, the Raw
<v Speaker 2>debut on Netflix on January the sixth, So we do
<v Speaker 2>have a potential WrestleMania main event that was scheduled to
<v Speaker 2>at least semi main event last year's WrestleMania. I Punk
<v Speaker 2>didn't get injured. Now it's a raw, it's a raw match.
<v Speaker 2>It's incredible, incredible Now I'm not belittling this Raw or
<v Speaker 2>belittling Punker or Rollins. They are trying to make this
<v Speaker 2>show as big as possible as we all would expect.
<v Speaker 2>This is going to be a pl e quality show.
<v Speaker 2>In fact, I would argue that this is going to
<v Speaker 2>be a more star studded show on this regular Raw,
<v Speaker 2>well not regular Raw, but on a Monday night Raw.
<v Speaker 2>Then Saturday night main event will be or maybe even
<v Speaker 2>Survivor's series was the lack of big returns and big moments.
<v Speaker 2>So it's a big show, a big show, so let's
<v Speaker 2>continue here. They did again. They had to pull up
<v Speaker 2>part jumping on each other, getting in the ring, security,
<v Speaker 2>more security, you know, the usual. But again it's effective.
<v Speaker 2>It's effective, and it makes you want to see them
<v Speaker 2>get their hands on each other even more. I would
<v Speaker 2>think that you know, one man is going to be
<v Speaker 2>banned from the arena next week while the other one
<v Speaker 2>is banned from the area of the following week, and
<v Speaker 2>then you know they're not allowed to touch each other,
<v Speaker 2>and anam pearce is going to do all he can
<v Speaker 2>to make sure that they are not allowed to touch
<v Speaker 2>each other until Raw do the best he can anyway,
<v Speaker 2>which makes sense you don't want to see these two
<v Speaker 2>in any kind of I don't want to see them
<v Speaker 2>in any more physical altercations. I really don't. I'm all
<v Speaker 2>for waiting until January sixth, until they have their actual match. Now,
<v Speaker 2>the question is after this match, where does it go.
<v Speaker 2>Is this the start of a multi month program that
<v Speaker 2>leads to WrestleMania. Is this the actual start of a
<v Speaker 2>heel turn for Seth? I would think fans are starting
<v Speaker 2>to side with Punk over Rollins. If the fans are
<v Speaker 2>being forced to choose, they'll probably choose CM Punk, given
<v Speaker 2>that it's kind of the old flame that's been reignited
<v Speaker 2>for a lot of fans. He does have more name
<v Speaker 2>brand value than Seth Rollins does. Yes, he does, and
<v Speaker 2>so there's this stardom, the idea that Punk doesn't have
<v Speaker 2>a lot of time left. He's good on the mic
<v Speaker 2>to have great on the mic, and so there is
<v Speaker 2>that connection that fans, even those that watched a w
<v Speaker 2>and saw Punk's return to wrestling in what was a
<v Speaker 2>few years ago, twenty eleven, twenty twelve, whatever it was,
<v Speaker 2>and now he's back home in we fans have followed
<v Speaker 2>all of that. If fans have followed his story. It's
<v Speaker 2>been how many years since been in WWE. It's so
<v Speaker 2>if fans are forced to choose, I believe they will
<v Speaker 2>choose Punk, which again may be the partly the purpose
<v Speaker 2>of this program is to turn Seth heel and I'm
<v Speaker 2>not gonna hate on that. I think Rawn needs a
<v Speaker 2>really good heel right now. So okay again, they're at
<v Speaker 2>the TD Garden. I've been there, nice arena. Okay, we
<v Speaker 2>have Seth Rollins backstage angry. Adam Pierce followed Rollins, who
<v Speaker 2>told him he wants a match and that's Pierce told
<v Speaker 2>Rollins to let him do his job. Drew McIntyre confronted
<v Speaker 2>Rollins after Pierce left, and McIntyre recalled Rollins telling him
<v Speaker 2>that he needed to get over his issues with Roman
<v Speaker 2>and the Bloodline. And McIntyre said, it's not so easy
<v Speaker 2>when it's staring at you in the face. And McIntyre
<v Speaker 2>said he and Rollins know that Punk is the same
<v Speaker 2>person he was unlike others in the company, including Sammy
<v Speaker 2>and Jay, Rollins and McIntyre think they have common cause.
<v Speaker 2>Rollin said, McIntyre thinks they have common cause and our friends.
<v Speaker 2>Rollin said he took Rains out of power at WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 2>and he had Zane and Jay at his side. Rollins
<v Speaker 2>then said he respects Zaye and Jay, and he told
<v Speaker 2>McIntyre that he is going to do something that McIntyre
<v Speaker 2>couldn't and see him punk. Well, I have news for you, Rollins.
<v Speaker 2>You did not take Roman reigns out of power. In fact,
<v Speaker 2>you took several bumps that left you laying on your
<v Speaker 2>back during the main event of Cody Rose and Roman
<v Speaker 2>Reigns at WrestleMania forty. Yeah, you were a small part
<v Speaker 2>of it, but had you not been there in storyline,
<v Speaker 2>it wouldn't have probably made a damn bit of difference.
<v Speaker 2>So that argument didn't really have much standing, but it
<v Speaker 2>at least told fans. Okay, McIntire was trying to find
<v Speaker 2>common ground with Seth and it seems legit and I
<v Speaker 2>think they do have it. But Rollins is still resisting.
<v Speaker 2>He is still resisting the dark Side to come on over,
<v Speaker 2>just at least for now. But God, I love McIntyre.
<v Speaker 2>All right, then we have a bronze breaker, Ludwig Kaiser,
<v Speaker 2>And before we get there, one thing on McIntyre Rollins,
<v Speaker 2>what if they do align think about that? I'm all
<v Speaker 2>for it. It's not an alliance that you would imagine
<v Speaker 2>a little bit of the two men Power Trip Triple
<v Speaker 2>H and Stone Cold alliance back in the early two thousands,
<v Speaker 2>a little bit of that vibe. It is a weird
<v Speaker 2>marriage of sorts. But if their common cause is strong
<v Speaker 2>enough and their hatred of cmpunk is strong enough, they
<v Speaker 2>may not be friends, but they'll they'll fight for a
<v Speaker 2>common goal. It's something to consider. Even though he resisted
<v Speaker 2>this week, Rollins and McIntyre aligning. I don't hate it,
<v Speaker 2>not long term. I mean, these two make their most
<v Speaker 2>money and are the biggest stars when they're separate. But
<v Speaker 2>it'd be very interesting combo. Okay, we're back to the
<v Speaker 2>Intercontinental title match here, bron Breaker Ludwig Kaiser. This match
<v Speaker 2>was really fun. Eighteen minutes. I think that. I mean
<v Speaker 2>this was a compared to the Saturday Night Made Event matches,
<v Speaker 2>this was really long. And I don't mean that in
<v Speaker 2>a bad way, but when you look at all the
<v Speaker 2>Saturday Night Made Event matches, you're just like, Wow, is
<v Speaker 2>this like double the amount of time? It feels like
<v Speaker 2>I enjoyed the hell out of this. I think, excuse me,
<v Speaker 2>I think that this was Kaiser's biggest match to date,
<v Speaker 2>maybe his longest singles match to date on television anyway,
<v Speaker 2>and I think they delivered. There was there any anybody
<v Speaker 2>in there who actually believe Kaiser could win. I think
<v Speaker 2>that there was, you know, in this match, while it
<v Speaker 2>was very unlikely he could win, I think that there
<v Speaker 2>was at least moments that you could point to and go,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. Maybe I don't know. Maybe it wasn't
<v Speaker 2>certainly an absolute slam dunk, lock it away, and I
<v Speaker 2>enjoyed the hell out of its match. Physical the finish
<v Speaker 2>I think was good. Here's what it was. Kaiser kicked
<v Speaker 2>Breaker to ringside, went to the floor on the other
<v Speaker 2>side of the ring, and Kaiser ran for his dropkick,
<v Speaker 2>but he stopped when he didn't see Breaker where he
<v Speaker 2>left him, and Breaker ran around the ring dropped Kaiser
<v Speaker 2>with the shoulder block. Back in the ring, Breaker hit
<v Speaker 2>a gutbuster and ran the ropes, hit the spear one two,
<v Speaker 2>three game over game set match. Kaiser loses, and it
<v Speaker 2>feels like, as with wrestling, they're on the down cycle
<v Speaker 2>of their attention by the company, where just a month ago,
<v Speaker 2>Bron Breaker was celebrating his second Intercontinental title win over
<v Speaker 2>jay Uso, and Kaiser was breaking away from Gunther and
<v Speaker 2>you're thinking, Okay, here we go, and now Kaiser loses
<v Speaker 2>clean Here breaker has been a side story, not irrelevant,
<v Speaker 2>but a side story. He's taken a bit of a
<v Speaker 2>step sideways, kind of not not really back but more
<v Speaker 2>just kind of lateral for his character anyway. But I'm
<v Speaker 2>not disappointed in this loss, although I do want to
<v Speaker 2>see what a Ludwig Kaiser title reign looks like. I
<v Speaker 2>was more looking for how does Kaiser specifically handle the
<v Speaker 2>longest match of his career in the company on television,
<v Speaker 2>And I think he delivered. I enjoyed him, and I
<v Speaker 2>really think there's more to him and his I mean
<v Speaker 2>en ring. I don't think the guy has eaten a
<v Speaker 2>carb in the last ten years. His body fat is
<v Speaker 2>somehow in the negative area. He has somehow like a
<v Speaker 2>negative five percent body fat. He does have a presence
<v Speaker 2>on the mic that we haven't been able to really
<v Speaker 2>see flesh out fully yet. There's more Techaiser than meets
<v Speaker 2>the eye. Still, and his best days, I believe are
<v Speaker 2>in front of him. Okay, Kofe and Xavier were walking
<v Speaker 2>backstage and we're about to enter the locker room, but
<v Speaker 2>Ray Maisterio came out and stopped them, and he said
<v Speaker 2>it wasn't just him. Everyone in the locker room didn't
<v Speaker 2>want them there. And Ray said, after what they said
<v Speaker 2>to Big Ee, he felt it was best that they
<v Speaker 2>find somewhere else to dress. Wood said it was okay
<v Speaker 2>because they didn't want to share a locker room with
<v Speaker 2>y'all anyway. So the locker room is completely rejecting the
<v Speaker 2>New Day, as if they are all just complete, just
<v Speaker 2>beacons up innocence themselves. Right, no one in the locker
<v Speaker 2>room has ever done anything bad, No one's ever been
<v Speaker 2>a heel. Apparently, words are if you say, if you
<v Speaker 2>say certain things to people that they like, then you
<v Speaker 2>can't dress with them anymore. Yet they have been there
<v Speaker 2>longer than most of the guys in the locker room.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I have no problem with this. I'm just
<v Speaker 2>breaking this down from a logical perspective because that's what
<v Speaker 2>I like to do. I don't know why, but it
<v Speaker 2>makes no sense now in story. Yeah, the guys are
<v Speaker 2>disgusted with them, but what authority do you have to
<v Speaker 2>say we don't want to dress with you. I mean, like, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>we've been here twice as long as some of y'all
<v Speaker 2>in there, and I don't want to hear about this,
<v Speaker 2>you know, holier than now attitude when half of you
<v Speaker 2>have been heels before, doing worse things than we ever have.
<v Speaker 2>All we did was speak down to Big Ee, tell
<v Speaker 2>him how we really feel. We didn't attack him. We
<v Speaker 2>didn't attack a guy that has an injured neck. So
<v Speaker 2>just a little food for thought there, all right? We
<v Speaker 2>have then Testator and Barrett speak from the desk and
<v Speaker 2>Barrett Wade. Barrett noted that it was a band pile
<v Speaker 2>driver that took out Randy, and now Owens used the
<v Speaker 2>package pile driver on Rhoads. And Testator read through the
<v Speaker 2>storyline injuries and that's suffered by Cody's character, and he
<v Speaker 2>said that X rays were negative and Cody returned home
<v Speaker 2>where he is resting. So that's good. I mean, he's home,
<v Speaker 2>not injured. But what they did is say he's banged up,
<v Speaker 2>a scare, but nothing serious enough to have him miss
<v Speaker 2>the Saturday Night made event at least build a story
<v Speaker 2>to it, and that's I think that's the right move.
<v Speaker 2>I love the fact that Kevin Owens is using the
<v Speaker 2>pile driver. I continue to say that every time he
<v Speaker 2>does it. It does become less shocking every time he
<v Speaker 2>uses it. But now what's going to happen is this
<v Speaker 2>is going to be a story for his character. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know if he'll ever get a pile driver again.
<v Speaker 2>He might, but I think that him attempting them during
<v Speaker 2>the matches that he has, if he's not suspended or
<v Speaker 2>fired in storyline, is going to be part of the
<v Speaker 2>of the story in the ring. Whoever he's facing, he's
<v Speaker 2>going to go for a pile driver, and you know
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna have the referee trying to stop him. It's
<v Speaker 2>going to be a thing. And even when Randy Orton
<v Speaker 2>comes back and faces Kevin Owens, you're going to have
<v Speaker 2>Kevin Owens attempt another pile driver on k On Randy.
<v Speaker 2>But here's the thing, I don't think we have too
<v Speaker 2>many more pile drivers in the future. For Kevin Owens.
<v Speaker 2>It is actually a dangerous move. Despite how safe Kevin
<v Speaker 2>Owens has been with them, and they have looked very
<v Speaker 2>safe as you know what, and I'm fine with that.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not asking anybody to take the risk of, you know,
<v Speaker 2>doing a pile driver wrong, in which Fininch means you're
<v Speaker 2>paralyzed for life. No, I mean he's doing them as
<v Speaker 2>safe as possible, and that's the way it should be done.
<v Speaker 2>But if you're looking at this from a heartless perspective,
<v Speaker 2>the pile drivers do not look good compared to some
<v Speaker 2>we've seen. If you are familiar with the pile driver,
<v Speaker 2>move not the tombstone right, the actual pile driver with
<v Speaker 2>the guy's legs straight up in the air. Some of them.
<v Speaker 2>Some of the best ones I've ever seen are Undertaker
<v Speaker 2>and Shawn Michael's back in ninety seven, not during their
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania twenty five program, but when they had their program
<v Speaker 2>in ninety seven, some of the pile drivers they did.
<v Speaker 2>You want you want to see a good one, go
<v Speaker 2>look at the pile driver that Shawn Michaels gave the
<v Speaker 2>Undertaker during the Hell in a Seal match in ninety
<v Speaker 2>seven on the steel steps. That's a pile driver. And
<v Speaker 2>also thinking of pile drivers back then, tombstone pile drivers.
<v Speaker 2>If you guys want to look at some really vish
<v Speaker 2>pile drivers, tombstone pile drivers that actually looked like it
<v Speaker 2>could have hurt the person or injured or paralyzed the person.
<v Speaker 2>Wrestle Mania fourteen Undertaker versus Kane. Undertaker could not get
<v Speaker 2>Cane up enough. Some of the pile drivers actually landed
<v Speaker 2>Caine on his head. I mean, there's no way to
<v Speaker 2>fake that. Go watch them. They're brutal and obviously he
<v Speaker 2>wasn't trying to do it on purpose. He didn't come
<v Speaker 2>down fast or hard enough to actually luckily do any
<v Speaker 2>damage to Kane Glenn Jacobs. But I remember watching even
<v Speaker 2>during the time like yikes, oh man, just thinking about it.
<v Speaker 2>If you haven't seen it, go watch alrighty. So we
<v Speaker 2>then have the Women's World Champion Live Morgan where at
<v Speaker 2>cal Rodriguez and Dominic Mysterio come out, and we have
<v Speaker 2>a fan sign that said Dom looks or look like
<v Speaker 2>he thinks Taco bell is authentic. That was funny. The
<v Speaker 2>crowd booed. When Dom tried to speak, Morgan used a
<v Speaker 2>megaphone while repeating what Dom said about her being the
<v Speaker 2>greatest women's World Champion of all time. She said it
<v Speaker 2>was twenty twenty four, the year of Monday Night. Morgan.
<v Speaker 2>She said, we're just getting started and said there are
<v Speaker 2>a lot of historic changes happening in we next year,
<v Speaker 2>and there's no one better lead the company into the
<v Speaker 2>future than her. Rea Ripley comes out because this is
<v Speaker 2>could rear Ripley do something different? Please? Can she do something?
<v Speaker 2>Can she come out and have a match? Is her
<v Speaker 2>whole purpose of existing right now? To just interrupt Live Morgan.
<v Speaker 2>I feel like I'm watching the same show every week
<v Speaker 2>with these two. It's the same thing. Now, yeah, Live,
<v Speaker 2>didn't you know scamper like she usually does because she
<v Speaker 2>had backup. But it's the same general principle, same structure.
<v Speaker 2>Really lives out the run in her mouth, or she's
<v Speaker 2>in the match, or she's helping Dom win a match,
<v Speaker 2>and here comes Ria Ripley, and I mean it's the
<v Speaker 2>same thing, Okay, continuing, So this is when we have
<v Speaker 2>Ripley come out, tell Morgan to shut up and said
<v Speaker 2>it's gone on long enough and it's time to settle
<v Speaker 2>things once and for all. And Ripley said. Adam Pierce
<v Speaker 2>made it official by naming her Ripley the number one
<v Speaker 2>contended for the Women's World Championship. Ripley said she will
<v Speaker 2>be the new Women's World Champion and the only thing
<v Speaker 2>Morgan will be left with is her little chicken tender slut.
<v Speaker 2>I can't say it on the show PG show, But
<v Speaker 2>that was a funny line, not bad, okay. Jackie Redmond
<v Speaker 2>caught up with Seth Rollins and was informing him about
<v Speaker 2>the match when cmpunk the match with Sampunk was being maneficial.
<v Speaker 2>Drew mctyre was shown walking quickly toward Redmond and Rollins.
<v Speaker 2>Samy's ain't appeared and fought McIntyre until they will pulled
<v Speaker 2>apart by producers. So that was an interesting segment. Was
<v Speaker 2>mctyre going to attack Rollins he was walking quickly or
<v Speaker 2>was he going to attack him? Was he gonna maybe

<v Speaker 2>jumped over behind Carter suplexed her off the ropes. Raquel
<v Speaker 2>Rodriguez closeline Star covered her for a two count Caden
<v Speaker 2>Carter tried to roll up Rodriguez, who stuffed it and

<v Speaker 2>covering the pin. Yeah, not good, not good, A little
<v Speaker 2>sloppy here, no doubt it was just yeah, they could have.

<v Speaker 2>some of this to you, but the the actual raw
<v Speaker 2>review here then reading says that you know, they're surprised

<v Speaker 2>I would rather have her as a heel, but you

<v Speaker 2>in terms of getting fans to care about her in

<v Speaker 2>fans don't have any feeling towards where Cal Rodriguez. She's
<v Speaker 2>a hell of an imposing figure. She does have a
<v Speaker 2>really good look. There's just nothing there right now for
<v Speaker 2>most fans. So, yes, Raquel is the muscle of that
<v Speaker 2>triple threat. But Zoe Stark getting the victory, it's not
<v Speaker 2>a you know, it shouldn't floor you that she got

<v Speaker 2>and Samantha Irvin are right, I mean neck and neck.

<v Speaker 2>feel like I'm spoiling it if some of you don't
<v Speaker 2>watch Raw until you hear my show. But the war
<v Speaker 2>Raiders did beat Finn Balor and J D McDonough in
<v Speaker 2>a sixteen minute match. So again we have two championship
<v Speaker 2>matches on Raw, again reinforcing my concern about wrestling that
<v Speaker 2>title matches no longer feel important because we're getting multiple
<v Speaker 2>title matches per week. But this match was good and
<v Speaker 2>the right I think the White Right team won the
<v Speaker 2>war Raiders winning the tag titles makes sense. And here's
<v Speaker 2>the finish. Mcdonoughh goes to ringside and returned with a chair.
<v Speaker 2>The referee stops McDonough. Balor went to ringside grabs a
<v Speaker 2>chair from the timekeepers area, but someone held the other
<v Speaker 2>side of the chair. Damien Priest was shown holding the
<v Speaker 2>chair and then he pulled it, causing Baalor to crash
<v Speaker 2>into the barricade in the ring. Ivar closed line mcdonnaugh
<v Speaker 2>to take him out, tagged him in. Baler returned to
<v Speaker 2>the ring and was hit with the war Machine finish
<v Speaker 2>before Ivar pinned Balor. That was an important cover here,
<v Speaker 2>an important finish. It is now continuing to focus on
<v Speaker 2>Damian Priest and Finn Balor. Yes, j D McDonough in
<v Speaker 2>the pecking order of right now is of course several
<v Speaker 2>levels below Finn Balor. Even though they're in the same group.
<v Speaker 2>So you would look at this in most circumstances and go, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>McDonald's got to take the pinfall here. No, it was Balor,
<v Speaker 2>and it should be Balor because of what Famian priest
<v Speaker 2>did showing up with the chair pulling it out from
<v Speaker 2>Finn Balor. Baler is asked to be the one to
<v Speaker 2>take the fall. So good stuff here. Really enjoyed it.

<v Speaker 2>the Judgment Day and the war Raiders are now champions,

<v Speaker 2>I don't care. You need to have people know who
<v Speaker 2>you are, your values, what your goals are. They want
<v Speaker 2>to hear you speak, they want to know what your
<v Speaker 2>you know your your strengths and weaknesses are. And the
<v Speaker 2>war Raiders have been around for a while, obviously they
<v Speaker 2>were originally known as the Viking Experience, then the Viking Raiders.
<v Speaker 2>Then they messed with the street profits for felt like
<v Speaker 2>forever and embarrassing gymnasium tournaments during COVID. If you guys
<v Speaker 2>remember that, and then they returned and had some shields
<v Speaker 2>and they did damage with their their weaponry, and then
<v Speaker 2>they went away and Ivar flourished while Eric was injured,
<v Speaker 2>and then we had a repackaging of that group to
<v Speaker 2>the war Raiders, which I think they finally found it.
<v Speaker 2>This is a nice little combination, a nice a nice
<v Speaker 2>kind of polish, I think is the right word. Them
<v Speaker 2>as Tag team champions, I think is the right move.
<v Speaker 2>Besides j D McDonald and Finn Balor weren't really doing
<v Speaker 2>much with them. They just kind of won them. They
<v Speaker 2>defended them very sparingly, and it was being kind of
<v Speaker 2>overshadowed by what was going on in the Judgment day,
<v Speaker 2>you know, with with specifically Damian Priest and Finn Balor.
<v Speaker 2>That is now heating back up, which I'm really excited
<v Speaker 2>to see. It's finally gonna be a hope, a one

<v Speaker 2>Finn Balor screw Damien out of the world title with Gunther,

<v Speaker 2>curse of any tag team championship in professional wrestling. So anyway,
<v Speaker 2>we got a nice, fun Intercontinental title match, a bit
<v Speaker 2>of a botched women's match, an announcement for a big
<v Speaker 2>match that was again WrestleMania semi main event worthy of
<v Speaker 2>of course, I was gonna say John Cena, but see
<v Speaker 2>Impunk versus Seth Rollins. My thought is, looking out here,
<v Speaker 2>if they're getting this match out of the way on
<v Speaker 2>January six with which should pop a huge rating on Netflix,
<v Speaker 2>it does make me wonder, then Okay, they get this
<v Speaker 2>match out of the way, This is not going to
<v Speaker 2>be a multi month You run up to WrestleMania in
<v Speaker 2>the middle of April. That's a long time to build
<v Speaker 2>a program. Then it seems that Seth and Punk are
<v Speaker 2>not going to be facing each other at WrestleMania. That's
<v Speaker 2>what this match tells me on the January sixth edition
<v Speaker 2>of Raw, Because if if you're gonna have Punk ever
<v Speaker 2>complete his his story now or his goals of main
<v Speaker 2>eventing WrestleMania. You can't do it with Seth Rollins, He's
<v Speaker 2>not champion. Perhaps it's what if it's Punk versus Gunther WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>He's already declared before he's chasing that world title. There's
<v Speaker 2>a WrestleMania main event now, you could also more likely
<v Speaker 2>have Punk enter the rumble. Rollins could too, and he
<v Speaker 2>could possibly win it. Now if he wins it, is

<v Speaker 2>looking forward to, and an interaction at the Rumble that
<v Speaker 2>I anticipate. So John Cena, I mean, there's just again
<v Speaker 2>him and Roman Reigns. What if Roman Reigns is in
<v Speaker 2>the Rumble, this is gonna be a hell of a
<v Speaker 2>royal Rumble. And no Cody Roads in the Rumble, thank god,

<v Speaker 2>into five days that I'm kind of Mia from the podcast.
