00:00:01 Speaker 1: Hi Amber, Hilelah, Welcome to an unlikely Affair. Hey babes, it is La La Kent here with my angel, my rock. 00:00:13 Speaker 2: Oh how I needed Vegas with you. 00:00:15 Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, me too. 00:00:17 Speaker 2: I know. 00:00:17 Speaker 1: I'm so happy that we have an unlikely affair and that we get to record an unlikely affair here in Vegas. 00:00:23 Speaker 3: I know, WWE, Baby, it's a good weekend. 00:00:25 Speaker 1: Did you ever think that you would put the two of those together an unlikely affair in WrestleMania. 00:00:29 Speaker 3: No, but let me tell you something. Nothing in life shocks me anymore. But I am so excited to go to WrestleMania. 00:00:37 Speaker 1: I'm so excited that when we had the belatwins on, they were like they just like dropped it, like you guys should come, and we said fun, yes, yes, yeah. 00:00:46 Speaker 3: I remember watching WWE with my dad sometimes and I was just so blown away by I was like, oh my god, how are they not really like crying? And then I realized it's like it's they're athletes, but they're so good at what they do, and there's so much precision and like training and just mastering the art of wrestling. 00:01:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, for an audience, it's like a full performance. Yeah, it's a lot of worlds coming into one, like on Crack, I am so dead, No, I can't wait. And just the level of fandom because it's a world that I've never experienced. But to me, it's kind of like the Bravo universe, like when you go to Vegas for Bravo Con. Yeah, and people who aren't in that bubble don't even realize what it's like. These wrestlers walk I could feel that, I'm so happy that you fixed it. 00:01:39 Speaker 3: It was bothering me. That was like coming up on your chin. 00:01:43 Speaker 2: I could feel it, and I kept going like this. I was like, what is that? Thank you? 00:01:48 Speaker 3: You're welcome. 00:01:50 Speaker 1: You walk in these these wrestlers are going to be treated like they're the Beatles. 00:01:53 Speaker 2: It's wild, wild. 00:01:55 Speaker 3: It just shows you. It kind of brings me back to when I was on All My Children, and the the fan base, even in the soap world is so beyond anything I ever experienced. I mean this took you all the way back into like people that were in jail that would watch soaps. I would get fan letters. I mean, Laala, I used to get so much fan mail that we all kind of share the same person that ran our fan group, but it would be like inmate number two four five sixt seven from you know, Louisville, Kentucky, and then they would write this letter. It was bizarre and I'm like, wow, this just goes to show you like people really invest their time, their money, their energy into And by the way, like we heard, these tickets are not cheap, so people are really You have to love this world and people do. People are bananas and I'm so excited to experience it. 00:02:52 Speaker 2: I am too. 00:02:52 Speaker 3: I'm gonna be studying how they actually do like moves, and. 00:02:56 Speaker 1: I hope they open with the chair. It reminds me of Shrack where it's like give him the chair in check yeah, where he goes to Lord Farquad, oh mom head. 00:03:07 Speaker 2: Get must back. 00:03:10 Speaker 1: And then he has to fight all of his his guards. Yes, and the audience goes wild and it is like WrestleMania. 00:03:16 Speaker 2: I have kids. I have kids. 00:03:19 Speaker 3: Don't have to say it's been a minute since I watched Shreck. 00:03:23 Speaker 1: How do you feel being in Vegas when you're sober? 00:03:27 Speaker 3: Oh my god, I love it? 00:03:28 Speaker 2: Okay, tell me why? 00:03:31 Speaker 3: Because I look at people who are either doing the walk of shame okay, or look absolutely miserable the next morning in line to get coffee. Yeah, or they're still sitting at the black checked tables, or like at the slaw machines and. 00:03:47 Speaker 1: You thought they had a BBL but really they have depends on Yeah. 00:03:50 Speaker 3: Yeah, you're like, I actually don't think that person has left since the last time I saw that. Yeah, it feels so good to be sober and wake up, because there's something about Vegas that already kind of makes you feel like a little bit tired because you literally get stuck inside, like we haven't been outside. Besides, we've just walked into an. 00:04:09 Speaker 1: Uber and I walked out like this, like you haven't seen this by day? 00:04:13 Speaker 3: Right, So I love It's just Vegas is so special to me. 00:04:17 Speaker 1: I really love it here too, and I love that you and I yet again decided to share a suite again again. Tell the story how it happened, Well, let me tell I'll tell you how. I don't tell the whole story, but this trip was going to be where we were bringing people with us, and then. 00:04:40 Speaker 3: By people she means the opposite sex. 00:04:43 Speaker 1: Yes, and then last minute things just shifted and I was like, I'm not sleeping without amber, Like it's just not happening. But even when you come to LA and you stay with me, you don't stay in the guest room. We sleep in the same bed, like it's a non negotiable. We go somewhere together. And it actually worked out perfectly. I was legitimately upset that, like the plan fell through right, and I got I got very regulated, disregulated, emotional. The world is crashing down on me. And since we've the moment. I saw your face though yesterday. 00:05:22 Speaker 2: I walked into the wind. 00:05:24 Speaker 1: You guys in amber, you did look like like you're beautiful, You're stunning. 00:05:33 Speaker 2: Okay, thank you for starting with that first say that, But I look at her. 00:05:37 Speaker 1: She got in at like seven thirty in the morning to Vgas. 00:05:41 Speaker 3: I came from Montana. Yeah, I got up at four thirty, Yes, drove to the airport. My flight was six fifteen down the runway landed, and I was like, what now. I showed up at the wind and literally there's nobody except the maintenance worker and like a janitor, and I'm like, does anyone need help? Because I couldn't check into the room until three. No. 00:06:05 Speaker 1: By the way, if I was just a regular old person walking by you yesterday, I would have gone, Oh my god, that is like a beautiful woman. 00:06:12 Speaker 2: But I know my Amber. 00:06:14 Speaker 1: I know those eyes, those angel eyes. And I was like, because I know her, but if I didn't, all in the same time, that woman is strictly in Vegas to have some cocktails and gamble from the time she gets here until the time she got like she's not leaving this law machine. I was like, wow, we need a nap. But I looked the same way because I was no, you did it. Yes, I didn't know. 00:06:38 Speaker 3: You didn't. 00:06:39 Speaker 2: No, you didn't do you know what we needed. 00:06:42 Speaker 1: We needed Chinese food, which is what we got, just a lot of sodium. 00:06:47 Speaker 3: Oh that is why you woke up, you said, I feel really puffy. That's what it was worth it in your fight. Didn't take off her, No. 00:06:55 Speaker 1: They had us sitting on the runway for fucking forty five minutes. I was like, this is where I lose my fucking mind. Anyway, I land, Amber's looking gorgeous, obviously, but we eat and it just Vegas is so different now. And granted I've been sober for you know, seven and a half years, but usually when I don't come to Vegas to just like just for like a trip, like it's always something where we were working. There was one time that I came to Vegas randomly and I was super pregnant and I was coming for Lovers and Friends, which is a festival, a music festival. I've never felt more vulnerable by the way. To walk into nightclubs or any type of day club and you're pregnant and there's no father. You feel very you feel very strange. 00:07:41 Speaker 3: You're like, I will never forget. When I was twenty one, I was pregnant with London. It was New Year's Lennon was born on February first, so I was very pregnant. Yeah, and I was like, one hundred percent I'm going to Vegas for New Year's because I'm not gonna be left behind. The other person was like, I'm going with or without you. So I drove, had an uber take me for a driver from LA I couldn't get on a plane because I was too pregnant. It's too much. It was a risk. I'll never forget going into the nightclub and I am litt I have to find this photo and show you. I was nine eight and a half, nine months pregnant with London, and I'm just massive walking through the nightclub. Fifty was performing and I was like, loved him. It was such a weird experience, but I love it. That's how much I fucking love the city. It's the great one of the Like most people are like, how do you like? I call it Disneyland for adults. 00:08:33 Speaker 1: Right where you can be there sober. But most people at Disneyland aren't sober. That a is adults. They're like they're drinking. They're drinking more there than in Vegas. 00:08:43 Speaker 3: One hundred percent. I would be too if I could. 00:08:46 Speaker 1: Yeah, But yesterday was just full of just like talking, connecting. We always have so much to talk about it and something happened that I'm not going to share, but it was a pretty intense phone call that I got, and I hope one day that I can share it because it just it just never fucking. 00:09:04 Speaker 3: Ends, never ends. 00:09:05 Speaker 2: It never ends. 00:09:06 Speaker 1: And the day that we can just fucking mention it all, Bethany Frankel style legs spread, fucking. 00:09:12 Speaker 2: Mention it all, I can't fucking wait. But I got this phone call. I see him when I was like, girl, we got to talk. You will never believe the phone. 00:09:22 Speaker 1: Call that I just had. So we talked about that. We went into we window shopped. I found some really cute Christian lubetans. We I talked her off the ledge because I was ready to drop five grand on heels yesterday and she was like, don't do it. 00:09:37 Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, give it twenty four hours. 00:09:39 Speaker 3: I came to in the morning and then this morning you were like this morning, I was like, I don't think I should buy the shoes. See, if you had been drinking, you would have been one for me, one for you, one for you. Know what I mean, Yeah, I would have been. 00:09:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, not good. And then we had like a cute little dinner together. We stayed in our sweatpants the entire time. 00:09:58 Speaker 3: It was the best. 00:10:00 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:10:00 Speaker 3: And I literally looked at you while we were walking through the wind and I was like, this is how I've always wanted to do Vegas. I don't want to be running around Vegas with like six inch heels like some of the girls that we saw yesterday. I mean, yes, there's a time and place. 00:10:13 Speaker 1: There was something very cute about watching a group of girls who were probably in their you know, early to mid twenties, short little skirts heels. 00:10:23 Speaker 2: I'm like, you fucking get it, baby. 00:10:25 Speaker 1: You just have the funnest time of your life because there's going to be a man that comes into your life fucks you up. He's going to be your baby daddy and you're never gonna feel this way again. 00:10:34 Speaker 2: Yeah, so just you go, girl. 00:10:38 Speaker 3: I agree, live your life. 00:10:40 Speaker 1: We went back up to the room at what not a thirty nine mm hmm. Took our little I'm trying to get off the unism. 00:10:48 Speaker 3: Yeah that's hard. 00:10:49 Speaker 1: It's so hard because I've been taking it since my life took a turn and I have had nothing but sleepless nights. And then my doctor drops on me like, oh yeah, you know that causes early on set dementia. 00:11:03 Speaker 2: And I was like, better start having it then. 00:11:08 Speaker 1: So I would do a half and then I broke it down into a third and now I'm on this amazing concoction of I do two let Me sleep gummies with two magnesium. But you and I both last night were like struggling to go to sleep. 00:11:24 Speaker 3: Oh I was in the bed, out of the But I also have been going through a very messed up time with my sleep. I can't, I don't sleep, I don't. I literally have had the worst anxiety where the next day. My heart hurts from having so much anxiety. It's a weird like pocket that I'm in and it's gonna pass. But yeah, I'm on the one milligram of melotonin, two elfie and nines and uh magnesium and I still was going absolutely but it. I literally got up in the middle of the night. I was like, I'm gonna go in the other room and read. 00:11:55 Speaker 1: I know, And I kept trying. I would be like, you can turn the light on to be like it's too bright, and then you look for a blanket. I'm like, there's a blanket on the bed. You could read in the bed. I'm like doing anything to be like just stay in the. 00:12:05 Speaker 2: Fucking bed, don't leave this room, don't leave this room. 00:12:07 Speaker 1: And then I came back, I know, And then you popped one more of something. I did one more magnesium and after that it was like two quartses. 00:12:18 Speaker 2: I gotta get my dosage right. 00:12:20 Speaker 1: Sometimes you do. 00:12:20 Speaker 3: You just lay there and I'm like, God, please please, I don't ask for much today, or I didn't ask for much today. Just let me freaking sleep. 00:12:29 Speaker 1: And then he doesn't, and it's like, well, it's clear your fucking asleep. 00:12:32 Speaker 2: So you're of no help right now. 00:12:34 Speaker 1: Catch you in the morning. No, I don't know when that happened to me. Where I am such a square there's someone that whatever. We won't go into the boy, but they asked me, are you going to be up for a minute? And I was like, oh wow, I am a square at seven forty five and he's asking if I'm going to be up for a minute. Because I'm like, this is so embarrassing. 00:13:00 Speaker 3: You're so predictable. You come into the room, You're like, all right, I'm gonna take a bath. So I'm learning, like how you travel. You love your baths, which I do too. You turn on friends like I turn on the news, which is probably why I have anxiety. You like change it immediately to friends, Like it's so I know exactly what side of the bed you want to sleep on. I know you're on the right side. I'm on the like because I know from being at your house, I get it. We're becoming such great travel partners. 00:13:25 Speaker 2: I know. And we never run out of things to talk about. 00:13:27 Speaker 3: Never. 00:13:38 Speaker 2: This is a great friendship. 00:13:39 Speaker 1: It's a great friend and we had like a very sweet moment today on the couch. You were reminiscing about a time with whose name we. 00:13:46 Speaker 2: Shall not mention. 00:13:49 Speaker 1: Is reminiscing a positive word, because if it. 00:13:52 Speaker 3: Is, well, I'm gonna tell you this, you could use a word reminiscing in this this part. Because I had a lot of amazing trips to Vegas. Not all of them were great, but I had so much fun in Vegas in my twenties, and not all of them were alcohol fueled. Like, yeah, I had the kids. We would bring the kids. We would go out with the kids, go to the pool, go to the eminem and do all the Coca cola, all that stuff. And so there are some really great moments in Vegas that I had. But you were talking about. 00:14:26 Speaker 1: I'm talking about, Oh, you're talking about the LA thing. I'm talking about the La thing that you talked about. Just something that I think you experienced with that person that even if you say you're over it now, like it left a mark where you could tell me that story and just want you could tell it a hundred times and when you tell it, I can see in your eyes that you're reliving that moment. 00:14:51 Speaker 3: And that's healthy. 00:14:53 Speaker 2: No, I mean, I don't think it's healthy or unhealthy. 00:14:56 Speaker 1: I think That's just what happens with experiences that shape you and become core memories. It is what it is, you know, I, just as you were talking about it, had like this overwhelming emotional response that you had that experience that you saw with your own eyes, and then later down the line, I participated in something that you then saw with your own eyes, and I just had this moment of feeling emotional, deep regret even though we've come so far that like, I love you so much and I can't believe how far and we've spoken about this on the podcast many times, but how far we have come, and how you have just become such a beautiful. 00:15:43 Speaker 2: Just like the missing. 00:15:43 Speaker 1: Piece in my world that just like fits so perfectly. And I'm looking at you naked in the shower as we're talking about the guy you just FaceTime while I'm butt naked filling out the tub and I'm just like wow. 00:15:58 Speaker 3: And then I get out of the shower my towel on, and then I get in the bath. Well, I put my feet in the bath and we just talk. 00:16:03 Speaker 1: Yeah, she puts her feet in, I'm naked, like scrubbing my armpits, and she's like, this is what he just said, how do I respond. I'm like, this is the most unlikely affair I have ever seen in my fucking life. 00:16:17 Speaker 2: And I'm just obsessed with you. I thank you, You're welcome. 00:16:21 Speaker 3: I'm obsessed with you. And you know what, let's go back to that moment really fast, because you know, when I see you, when I tell those stories, it's not that I'm trying to reopen that wound for me, it's I never gave myself permission to thaw. And like when I go into those stories in great details, and like I open the door, I clock the purse, I go upstairs, the lights are off, like I remember the lamp, I know how the room was, Like there's so many specific It's funny because I can't tell you what I did yesterday, but I know exactly what happened, like you know, ten years ago. It's just those moments of where I now, for the first time in my life, am giving myself permission to have those moments. And then when I see you, it's just it's grief. And like I said to you this earlier, that you never stop grieving. And I know there's a lot of people out there that have experienced this, but I will grieve forever because it was not only a seven and a half year marriage, but there's still you know, we still have to deal with each other because we have children together and that's never gonna stop. And even when the kids turn eighteen, I'm still gonna have to deal with this person. And so it's like you have to just give yourself permission. Even just talking about it out, I feel like I feel much lighter. And then to see you, like you're fucking amazing, Lala, like you are such a big part of my story in my life, and like there's no doubt in my mind that this everything is working out and happening exactly how God planned it. 00:18:03 Speaker 1: I think so too, Yeah, I think so too. So that's those are our Vegas experiences. They they are windows, shopping, going to coffee shops, try attempting to gamble. 00:18:17 Speaker 3: Taking baths, taking. 00:18:19 Speaker 1: Baths, nine nighttime routines, crying on the couch and bonding. But there is nothing like Vegas. And I think we should plan a trip where we come back here. I would like us to at some point sit down and talk about the even not with our ex, but just any place that maybe is a trigger for us because we've had a bad experience and go to those places and recreate new memories. 00:18:43 Speaker 3: I'm definitely not going to the ramata Inn. 00:18:46 Speaker 2: I would never take you to the honey, Are you kidding me? I guess that could be really interesting. I'm talking about like Miami. 00:18:54 Speaker 3: All right, okay, fine, that we should go into go to Miami. That would be a hard one for me. 00:19:00 Speaker 1: I just the thought of touching down in Miami puts a lump in my throat. 00:19:04 Speaker 2: I think, yeah, but I think we should. 00:19:06 Speaker 3: I know, I gotta, I gotta come to terms with Miami. 00:19:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I think we go. 00:19:12 Speaker 1: We rent like a fabulous house, we get a yacht, We fucking just blow it out the ass Miami. Baby, we take hot men to fuck all day long. We'll leave the kids at home for this trip. 00:19:25 Speaker 2: You know, Like I'm trying. 00:19:26 Speaker 1: To be outside where the pool is, with like the waterfront and have a man just fucking chowing down. 00:19:33 Speaker 2: Yeah, my god, there we go. Now that's a new experience. 00:19:37 Speaker 3: That is a new experiences pass. I'm down. 00:19:41 Speaker 2: It's Miami. They've seen crazier shit. 00:19:43 Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, yeah, exactly. 00:19:46 Speaker 2: I loved this episode, by the way, you did. 00:19:50 Speaker 1: I love ending an episode with the thought of me just being eaten out. 00:19:58 Speaker 2: Anyway, I love you guys. Ember loves you too. 00:20:01 Speaker 3: I love I love you. 00:20:04 Speaker 1: Thank you for listening to another episode of an Unlikely Affair. We're going to catch you next Thursday night for a brand new episode. Love you bye,
