<v Speaker 2>coming up, and we're going to compare Godfather one, Godfather.
<v Speaker 3>Too, and Goodfellas.
<v Speaker 2>Goodfellas, another iconic gangster movie to decide what the best
<v Speaker 2>of the best are right now.
<v Speaker 4>That's going to be fantastic. And then we got Batman
<v Speaker 4>eighty nine versus The Dark Knight.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, are you kidding me?

<v Speaker 2>We got the release of the new The Batman in
<v Speaker 2>store in early March. I think yeah, it is, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>and so we will. We'll look at those two classics,
<v Speaker 2>and then we'll also probably check out the Batman and
<v Speaker 2>decide whether it holds up next to those amazing movies.

<v Speaker 5>Top five musical performances in the Super Bowl.

<v Speaker 2>It was fun to go back and look at the
<v Speaker 2>musical performances from the Super Bowls, but to decide which
<v Speaker 2>of all of them are the top five, most iconic,
<v Speaker 2>most iconic.
<v Speaker 3>Now we're not saying best. That's an important distinction.
<v Speaker 2>It is an important distinction. We are saying most iconicic. Right, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>so we were jumping in. Let's go okay, let's jump
<v Speaker 2>in right now. You want to go first, let me
<v Speaker 2>go first. I've got two honorable mentions. So if you've
<v Speaker 2>only got one, I'll go first.
<v Speaker 3>I got two. I got too good, all right?
<v Speaker 2>So my first honorable mention most iconic, Yes, has got
<v Speaker 2>to be the Aerosmith and in sync combination. And the
<v Speaker 2>reason that it's most iconic to me is you have
<v Speaker 2>miss Britney Spears in the Dallas Cowboy football plants and
<v Speaker 2>oh my gosh, she's on my list, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>you know it's laminated too, the top five, you know,
<v Speaker 2>the the allowable five.
<v Speaker 3>She's on my list.
<v Speaker 2>If you you will see me from time to time,
<v Speaker 2>if you're in Norman, Oklahoma walking around for Britney T shirt,
<v Speaker 2>I have seen you wear that. Yeah, it gets a
<v Speaker 2>lot of It gets a lot of attention.
<v Speaker 3>They're like, why are you wearing that shirt?
<v Speaker 2>And I said, hey, I know a whole lot of
<v Speaker 2>people that are way crazier than she is, and they
<v Speaker 2>can do anything that she wants.
<v Speaker 3>They want.
<v Speaker 4>So you know what, Hey, listen on that performance, you
<v Speaker 4>have Aerosmith and Britney Spears and in sync.
<v Speaker 5>I believe in that performance, yes, singing Walk this.
<v Speaker 6>Way, yep, dude, it's iconic, oh dude.
<v Speaker 3>And they're doing the throwback to our run DMC episode.
<v Speaker 3>They are doing.
<v Speaker 2>The shuffle back and forth on the stairs just like
<v Speaker 2>run DMC did in the Walk this Way video.
<v Speaker 3>They did aver a Smith.
<v Speaker 5>It would have been really cool if run DMC.
<v Speaker 3>Would have been there. It would have been cool.
<v Speaker 4>Everybuddy Deaf Dave would have definitely prefer that over in Sync,
<v Speaker 4>I can tell you.
<v Speaker 3>That, right.
<v Speaker 2>But en sing did not do a bad job. They
<v Speaker 2>were definitely singing their own songs.
<v Speaker 4>Well that's important to station because there's a lot of
<v Speaker 4>people who did not do that in the Super Bowl performance.
<v Speaker 3>Right. Okay, So what do you got for honorable mention?
<v Speaker 4>Honorable mention number one for me is Paul McCartney. Okay,
<v Speaker 4>Paul McCartney actually is the first guy out of the
<v Speaker 4>gate after the nibble gate incident.
<v Speaker 3>He is.
<v Speaker 2>He's on my list, so we can go into great
<v Speaker 2>detail on him if you want to.
<v Speaker 3>You want to go okay, okay.
<v Speaker 5>So anyway, Paul mccartny Honorable mention number one.
<v Speaker 2>Right, So the other honorable mention for me is most iconic. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>not because it was good. Yes, it was Bruno Mars
<v Speaker 2>and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
<v Speaker 7>Okay, Bruno Mars did his fought on job.
<v Speaker 2>Bruno Mars is a fantastic performer. But the Red Hot
<v Speaker 2>Chili Peppers came out, and although you could tell that
<v Speaker 2>Anthony Keatis was actually singing number one, it was a
<v Speaker 2>weird combination to have to have the do op style
<v Speaker 2>singing and dancing and the flashy gold suits and then
<v Speaker 2>the alternative no shirt jumping out. But then everybody kind
<v Speaker 2>of was like, wait a minute, are they actually playing
<v Speaker 2>their instruments? And the answer is, you know, they were
<v Speaker 2>not so most iconic. This was like, dude, Red Hot
<v Speaker 2>Chili Peppers, how are you guys not playing your instruments?
<v Speaker 3>You're supposed to be a rock band. What's going on?
<v Speaker 2>And they came out with some lame Well, the NFL
<v Speaker 2>told us that this was the best option that you know.
<v Speaker 3>He sang, but we not play our instruments, right, pretty lame? Okay.
<v Speaker 5>Honorable Mention number two for me, yes, okay, most iconic.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I'm going with Michael Jackson in nineteen ninety three,
<v Speaker 4>kind of the grandfather of the iconic choir fan participation
<v Speaker 4>halftime shows.
<v Speaker 3>And at that time, you know, I mean, Michael.
<v Speaker 5>Was still riding high off the Thriller and Dangerous.
<v Speaker 3>The ratings for the first time and ever I think
<v Speaker 3>went up at half time. Yeah, it was a great show.
<v Speaker 3>It was a great show, no question about it. That
<v Speaker 3>was the Cowboys versus the Bills. I'm a big Dallas
<v Speaker 3>Cowboys fan, and so I had a good time that day.
<v Speaker 3>I'll tell you that. A little little Rick morand little
<v Speaker 3>Rick Murrick Marian that's going on there. I don't know, a.
<v Speaker 2>Little bleedover from Ghostbusters day, right, Okay, okay, so we
<v Speaker 2>jumping in now, let's go.

<v Speaker 2>Five, number five, number five for me, the most iconic,
<v Speaker 2>most iconic is from February first, twenty fifteen, Super Bowl
<v Speaker 2>number forty nine, Patriots versus the Seahawk.

<v Speaker 3>Fantastic Show. Right, So she comes out singing, roar, I
<v Speaker 3>got the eye of the tiger. Roar on a giant
<v Speaker 3>golden tiger.
<v Speaker 2>It's a tiger the tiger just giant golden tiger robot
<v Speaker 2>thing and it's it's amazing. Now, you know, a spectacle
<v Speaker 2>is something that happens frequently on Super Bowl halftime shows.
<v Speaker 3>I don't care that much about the spectacle.
<v Speaker 2>I right need the big singing dance numbers with the
<v Speaker 2>you know, all of the stuff. But this one was Honestly,
<v Speaker 2>it was pretty good. That tiger was pretty amazing.
<v Speaker 3>It was amazing.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, she does four costume changes that happened in a
<v Speaker 2>matter of seconds, and I'm just like, what is going
<v Speaker 2>By the way, she's also on my list laminated list.

<v Speaker 2>Very nice looking lady, but as awesome as her performance was,
<v Speaker 2>and it's one of the best that there have been. Yes,
<v Speaker 2>you've also got Lenny Kravitz in there. Yes, singing I
<v Speaker 2>Kissed a Girl. I'm really thinking that should have been
<v Speaker 2>Missy Elliott singing that song with her. But what anyway,
<v Speaker 2>Missy Ellio's does up later. So she sings Roar, she
<v Speaker 2>sings dark Horse, she sings I Kissed a Girl, teenage Dream,
<v Speaker 2>California Girls. There's little medley of those, but the reason
<v Speaker 2>that it's the most iconic is the left shark. I know, right,
<v Speaker 2>the left shark, the left shark. So the left shark.
<v Speaker 2>She's got this dance number during Teenage Dream California Girls.
<v Speaker 2>She's got this dance number where there are two people
<v Speaker 2>in shark costumes behind her and one of them goes rogue.
<v Speaker 4>It looks like Leslie Nielsen from Naking Gun had to
<v Speaker 4>dress up in a shark.
<v Speaker 3>He's protecting the queen or something like that.
<v Speaker 2>That's hilarious and so almost inaneously, like Snoop Dogg later
<v Speaker 2>on that night is texting saying I was dressed up
<v Speaker 2>as the left shark and then left Shark became a
<v Speaker 2>meme that's famous now, Like, so.
<v Speaker 3>Was that really Snoop Dogg as left Shirt?

<v Speaker 2>So interesting note on that Super Bowl number one Patriots
<v Speaker 2>beat the Seahawks twenty eight to twenty four. Yeah, there
<v Speaker 2>was a little bit of, you know, back and forth
<v Speaker 2>about who was going to do the show. There was
<v Speaker 2>some questions about like, hey, are you willing to give
<v Speaker 2>the NFL money to appear at the halftime show, and
<v Speaker 2>so there was this huge petition to get Weird Al
<v Speaker 2>Yankovic as the halftime show for that earned this.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, that's fantastic. I would love to have Weird. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>So that'll come up later. Okay, all right, My number.
<v Speaker 4>Five is from Super Bowl thirty six. That's February seven,
<v Speaker 4>two thousand and two.

<v Speaker 2>Paul McCartney. Like you said, this came out the year
<v Speaker 2>after Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake had their old ordeal.
<v Speaker 2>He did drive my car. Yes, which, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>my ten year old are this week. This week, as
<v Speaker 2>we're walking out of her basketball game, she's like, can
<v Speaker 2>we listen to the Beatles in my home?
<v Speaker 3>I'm like, oh, yeah, I haven't listened to the Beatles
<v Speaker 3>with you. How do you know them?
<v Speaker 2>She's like, I think I found an old CD that
<v Speaker 2>you made for like one of our older siblings.

<v Speaker 2>there was some sort of halftime show.
<v Speaker 4>I watched it with our church youth group and everybody
<v Speaker 4>was screwing around getting nachos and playing ping pong or whatever.
<v Speaker 5>One kid, did you guys see.
<v Speaker 3>That that was her boob?
<v Speaker 5>And everybody's like what what? What?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, you can't couldn't rewind it.

<v Speaker 4>So that that happened, the little microcosm happened in our
<v Speaker 4>church youth group, and then happened around the world, like
<v Speaker 4>everybody was like, wait a minute, what Jennet Jackson showed

<v Speaker 4>So there was a guy out there who went searching
<v Speaker 4>on the internet to find it and was frustrated because
<v Speaker 4>it was either blurred out or it was mentioned but

<v Speaker 4>entrepreneur and him said, I'm going to create a website
<v Speaker 4>that you can load and watch short videos. YouTube was created,

<v Speaker 2>they start running the names of all of the victims
<v Speaker 2>of September eleventh, by flight number, by city location, New
<v Speaker 2>York City Fire Department, New York City Police Department.
<v Speaker 3>While he's singing the streets have no name. It's incredibly moving.
<v Speaker 2>These guys from Ireland give so much love to the
<v Speaker 2>United States. It's amazing. It goes beyond what the internet
<v Speaker 2>can do. It goes to we will stand together as
<v Speaker 2>a people, and at the very end he opens up
<v Speaker 2>his jacket.
<v Speaker 3>And inside his jacket he's got the American flag and.
<v Speaker 2>Is pulling it out and is honoring America. And it's
<v Speaker 2>one of the worst times.
