<v Speaker 1>Randy heard a powerful woodknock, followed by a roar that
<v Speaker 1>echoed through the timber. A year later, he found a
<v Speaker 1>massive track in the same area and saw a large
<v Speaker 1>figure moving through the thickets, leaving him with questions that
<v Speaker 1>have never faded. As Randy moved from Missouri to Mississippi
<v Speaker 1>over the years, the encounters followed him. Strange vocalizations, spook wildlife,
<v Speaker 1>missing food, and rocks being left on his vehicle. In
<v Speaker 1>Bowling Green, Missouri, right in Momo Territory, he witnessed a
<v Speaker 1>massive creature on all fours cross a hayfield and crouch
<v Speaker 1>behind a hay bill, watching him with intent. Later, he

<v Speaker 1>bigfoot encounters here on Sasquatch Theory. All right, Randy, welcome
<v Speaker 1>to Sasquatch Theory. How are you doing today?
<v Speaker 2>I am doing very well and hope you're doing the same.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I am doing excellent. It's an absolute pleasure to
<v Speaker 1>have you on the show today, Randy. If you would
<v Speaker 1>tell me a little bit about yourself, where your experiences
<v Speaker 1>took place at and if you can guide me through
<v Speaker 1>each encounter one after another.
<v Speaker 2>Okay, yeah, I've kind of been collecting all these thoughts
<v Speaker 2>together over a period of probably forty some years. And
<v Speaker 2>you know, I grew up in the the the era
<v Speaker 2>of Bigfoot coming to Fruish, and I guess you might
<v Speaker 2>say my experience starts with the Patterson Gimlin film, which
<v Speaker 2>actually a documentary, came to my town somewhere around nineteen
<v Speaker 2>sixty eight sixty nine, and I saw that and I thought, man,
<v Speaker 2>this is something else. You know, I'm a guy from
<v Speaker 2>southeast Missouri, farmland and all of this, and all of
<v Speaker 2>a sudden, it looks like the world has something bigger
<v Speaker 2>than what I ever imagined. It was really funny because
<v Speaker 2>I told my dad about it. He said, you know what,
<v Speaker 2>there's some things out there that we don't understand. That
<v Speaker 2>really kind of got me rolling. But then you know,
<v Speaker 2>you have influences of predominant thought and that you know,
<v Speaker 2>everything that I heard was against the existence of Bigfoot
<v Speaker 2>or sasquatch. So that is where the beginning was. To
<v Speaker 2>zip ahead a little bit. I lived in farming country.
<v Speaker 2>Everything in the Missouri boot hills flat trees are not abundant,
<v Speaker 2>and I was not a deer hunter until some friends
<v Speaker 2>of mine said, come on deer hunting with us. We
<v Speaker 2>hunt around Van Buren and mark Twain Forrest, and why
<v Speaker 2>don't you come with us? And so I got everything
<v Speaker 2>together and we hunted west of Van Buren and near
<v Speaker 2>the Eastwood Community community, and it was pretty exciting for me.
<v Speaker 2>I was in the big woods and all these things.
<v Speaker 2>There were tree stands that people had built. Nobody wanted
<v Speaker 2>to claim them because they were illegal, so it was
<v Speaker 2>kind of like a first come, first serve if you
<v Speaker 2>found one. So I picked out one that had been
<v Speaker 2>constructed fairly recently, and it was overlooking a pond that
<v Speaker 2>the Forest Service had built. They built a number of
<v Speaker 2>ponds back in the early seventies. This would have been
<v Speaker 2>probably somewhere around seventy two to seventy three. And I
<v Speaker 2>got up in the stand and immediately I heard a knock.
<v Speaker 2>I thought, who's going to be out here chopping wood?
<v Speaker 2>You know? And then I heard another one and a
<v Speaker 2>couple of others, and it seemed like they were in
<v Speaker 2>different places, and I thought, okay, somebody's shopping with So
<v Speaker 2>the longer I sat there, the more I began to
<v Speaker 2>wonder if I was going to see anything that day.
<v Speaker 2>Then I was kind of startled by something. It sounded
<v Speaker 2>like somebody was yelling off in the distance, and I thought, well,
<v Speaker 2>I don't think there are all that many people around here.
<v Speaker 2>In fact, there was only one little patch of of
<v Speaker 2>private land and belonged to the Partney family, and they
<v Speaker 2>had everything really signed off and you know, not trust
<v Speaker 2>asking and all this, so we knew not to shoot
<v Speaker 2>in that direction or whatever. Anyway, this was in the
<v Speaker 2>opposite direction and I heard heard it off in the
<v Speaker 2>distance and it was like a kind of sound, and
<v Speaker 2>I thought, well, this is this is kind of crazy.
<v Speaker 2>But that was my first experience. The next year, I
<v Speaker 2>picked out the same tree stand and got in it.
<v Speaker 2>And when I was scouting that year, I looked around
<v Speaker 2>the pond as I always did. There was some odd tracks.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it was like like large feet that had
<v Speaker 2>buried up in the mud. It was a real wet year,
<v Speaker 2>and there were some deer tracks. But there were these
<v Speaker 2>these tracks, and it was really odd because I looked
<v Speaker 2>where the the mud was really stirred up, and I
<v Speaker 2>saw what appeared to be like somebody had stuck a
<v Speaker 2>rack deer rack in the mud. There were these holes
<v Speaker 2>account of there were ten. I thought, well, if that's
<v Speaker 2>a ten point, but what deer falls down that way?
<v Speaker 2>And looking back on it, I think it was a
<v Speaker 2>man or or someone or something that had actually gone
<v Speaker 2>down with hands into the mud. So later on during
<v Speaker 2>deer season, I was there and I saw movement off
<v Speaker 2>to the across the pond, which was in an area
<v Speaker 2>where the ground really drops off, and I saw what
<v Speaker 2>I thought was a hunter moving through a thicket, right
<v Speaker 2>right at the edge of a thicket, and it appeared
<v Speaker 2>like he had a head down on like what we
<v Speaker 2>would use in bow season. Well, uh, he was. He
<v Speaker 2>was moving, And I thought, this guy, this guy doesn't
<v Speaker 2>move at all when he walks, and I'll see him
<v Speaker 2>when he comes out because the logging road that I
<v Speaker 2>was on this it got really thick in that area,
<v Speaker 2>and so he would have to come out to the road.
<v Speaker 2>Well he never did, and so I let that pass.
<v Speaker 2>And uh, I asked the guys later, I said, any
<v Speaker 2>of you guys down where I was, Oh, no, we
<v Speaker 2>want to stay away from You don't want to get
<v Speaker 2>in the way. Well, you know, you you file those
<v Speaker 2>things away and you don't think about what everybody says
<v Speaker 2>doesn't exist. So as as time goes along, I moved
<v Speaker 2>from Dunklin County up to Wayne County, which is the
<v Speaker 2>Greenville area Peedmont area, and being an avid hunter, that
<v Speaker 2>was just right for me. The Saint Francis River was
<v Speaker 2>it is a ten minute walk behind my house, and
<v Speaker 2>you know, as one of those things that there was
<v Speaker 2>a shoal there. I could cross the river because the
<v Speaker 2>river is pretty narrow in that area, and I could
<v Speaker 2>walk across in the shoal with boots on and hot
<v Speaker 2>on the other side and such as that. Uh. Not
<v Speaker 2>far from where I crossed, there was a huge tree
<v Speaker 2>down and this thing was it was close to four
<v Speaker 2>feet in diameter, and I thought, what a natural deer
<v Speaker 2>deer stand and I was able to get up on it,
<v Speaker 2>walked over and sat down, and the sun was starting
<v Speaker 2>to come up, and got a I got a really
<v Speaker 2>eerie feeling, kind of like the little kid in the
<v Speaker 2>dark feels like somebody's behind him. And I sat there
<v Speaker 2>for a while and didn't see anything, and I thought,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it's just really time to get out of here.
<v Speaker 2>So I went on and found another place to hunt.
<v Speaker 2>But uh, it was I think it was probably One
<v Speaker 2>season later, I went into that same area and I
<v Speaker 2>found a place when I was scouting to sit on
<v Speaker 2>an outcropping of rocks, and so I picked that out
<v Speaker 2>for for the opening morning. Well, as I sat there,
<v Speaker 2>the sun was coming up and I didn't realize it,
<v Speaker 2>but there were turkeys that had roosted all in a
<v Speaker 2>tree behind me. And turkeys are really funny because when
<v Speaker 2>they start waking up, they they they're kind of like
<v Speaker 2>little gooney birds up there. But I was sitting there
<v Speaker 2>and I kept looking over my shoulder and I thought, well,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going to be able to watch for a
<v Speaker 2>deer for looking at these crazy turkeys. And then all
<v Speaker 2>of a sudden I heard something and I thought, that's
<v Speaker 2>not really a turkey sound, and I heard turkey do that,
<v Speaker 2>but it it was in behind me and in the
<v Speaker 2>direction of the turkeys, but it was it was kind
<v Speaker 2>of a bloop bloop, and the turkeys were not coming
<v Speaker 2>off the roost and it was time for him to
<v Speaker 2>be flying down, but they were sticking right where they were,
<v Speaker 2>And that the sun got up, it was pretty bright,
<v Speaker 2>it was good daylight, and they were not flying down
<v Speaker 2>from the roost. Then it suddenly they all took off
<v Speaker 2>flu over my head across the river into a field
<v Speaker 2>across the way. So later on I asked a buddy
<v Speaker 2>of mine up there, I said, have you ever heard
<v Speaker 2>a turkey make of bloops out? No? And he looked
<v Speaker 2>at me, like, what's wrong with you? But and still
<v Speaker 2>I'm operating in this framework. Okay, everything is what we see,
<v Speaker 2>and if we don't see Bigfoot, bigfoot doesn't exist and
<v Speaker 2>all of this. So anyway, we keep going there. And
<v Speaker 2>then another guy who worked in an agricultural line pit.
<v Speaker 2>I saw him probably about a year later. He said,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we got bears in this area. He had
<v Speaker 2>some little polaroid pictures and I've never seen a bear track,
<v Speaker 2>and he said, here, look at this, And so when
<v Speaker 2>I looked at it, I said, oh, these there are
<v Speaker 2>some pretty big tracks. He had tracks that appeared to
<v Speaker 2>be a hindfoot, and he had a twelve inch ruler
<v Speaker 2>laying on the inside. It probably would have been about
<v Speaker 2>fourteen inches. And then he said, I got some front
<v Speaker 2>feet here too, and front foot tracks. And so I
<v Speaker 2>looked at that and I said where were these? He said,
<v Speaker 2>wether beside the other. I said, this bear must be drunk.
<v Speaker 2>He's walking sideways and he said, well, he said, where
<v Speaker 2>these were, there weren't any others behind them. Where these were,
<v Speaker 2>there weren't any others in front of them. And I said, well,
<v Speaker 2>it looks like two walking on their hind legs together.
<v Speaker 2>And so you know, here we are again. We have
<v Speaker 2>things that are put in front of us, and every
<v Speaker 2>teaching and all of the influences are that these things
<v Speaker 2>are just phenomenon and Sasquatch does not exist. And so
<v Speaker 2>you know, I just kept going along and in writing
<v Speaker 2>all these things off and explaining them away. Then we
<v Speaker 2>zip into the eighties. I moved again to Bowling Green,
<v Speaker 2>Missouri in Pike County, and it was that was like
<v Speaker 2>a totally different area. We had different people talking about
<v Speaker 2>Momo and the Missouri Monster, and you know, I want
<v Speaker 2>to talk to some people. They said, wow, that's just
<v Speaker 2>a stunt, because they have Momo Days in Louisiana, Missouri,
<v Speaker 2>which is about ten miles from Bowling Green, and that's
<v Speaker 2>just a way to have special sales and all of
<v Speaker 2>this stuff and make a little more money. And so
<v Speaker 2>they were throwing that out there. Then there were some
<v Speaker 2>old salts from around there who who said, well, you know,
<v Speaker 2>you never know one. I said, I think I saw
<v Speaker 2>Momo one time. You know, I thought, okay, okay, But
<v Speaker 2>it was another one of those things I just kind
<v Speaker 2>of stuck in the file in the back of my mind.
<v Speaker 2>And I was working as a family counselor in that area,
<v Speaker 2>and you know, I always referred to the thing, Hey,
<v Speaker 2>I've got a master's degree. I'm not one of those
<v Speaker 2>people who who thinks they see things and all of this,
<v Speaker 2>I just I just counted it all as as myth
<v Speaker 2>and let it go. I I guess, you know, really
<v Speaker 2>you get into the habit of denying reality. And I
<v Speaker 2>was counseling people, trying to get them to accept reality
<v Speaker 2>and see reality for what it was. And still I
<v Speaker 2>didn't want to do the same thing. So I was
<v Speaker 2>a deer hunter in those days. I hunted in Renniker
<v Speaker 2>Wildlife Area and then my neighbor Alan said, Hey, my
<v Speaker 2>uncle has one hundred and twenty acres. You want to
<v Speaker 2>want to hunt in there? He said, that's where I hunt,
<v Speaker 2>and I said, sure, I was going to be there
<v Speaker 2>about totally. It would be about four years. So I
<v Speaker 2>hunted most of that time there, and Alan and I
<v Speaker 2>tried not to hunt at the same time because it
<v Speaker 2>was a little close to hunt and shoot. So anyway,
<v Speaker 2>he he had full permission for me to be there.
<v Speaker 2>And there was one large hayfield. There was some draws
<v Speaker 2>and saddles in the area. It was one part was
<v Speaker 2>really hilly. There was a little pond there, but there
<v Speaker 2>was a lot of thick growth around the backside of
<v Speaker 2>the property. Plus there was a thicket where we drove
<v Speaker 2>in and parked. There was an old abandoned house there,
<v Speaker 2>and there was a cut bank that we had to
<v Speaker 2>go down to be able to walk through the thicket.
<v Speaker 2>And so there was thicket on both sides and we
<v Speaker 2>could go down then't make a turn, and there was
<v Speaker 2>a tree stand that was built back there. The hayfield
<v Speaker 2>was probably about sixty seventy yards from that tree stand,
<v Speaker 2>and the deer liked to come up and be shielded
<v Speaker 2>by the thicket, and they passed where the tree stand was.
<v Speaker 2>And so I think it was the second year I
<v Speaker 2>hunted in there. I had gotten out to the tree
<v Speaker 2>stand and there was a long line of rolled haybials
<v Speaker 2>and everybody's I'm sure I've seen them out on the fields.
<v Speaker 2>They're about five feet tall. They lay on their side,
<v Speaker 2>and so these were all lined up so it could
<v Speaker 2>be loaded whenever they were needed. And I saw a
<v Speaker 2>movement in the thick growth on the other side of
<v Speaker 2>the hayfield, and so as I I watched it, it
<v Speaker 2>still wasn't really light, and I could tell it was.
<v Speaker 2>It was something on all fours, and so as I
<v Speaker 2>watched it, it came up behind the haybils and turned
<v Speaker 2>and I could see just the top of its back,
<v Speaker 2>and I thought, you know, hey, this isn't a deer.
<v Speaker 2>This is more elk size or something like that. And
<v Speaker 2>so it moved along until it got to the end
<v Speaker 2>bail stopped and it was like it crouched down behind
<v Speaker 2>the veil, and I sat there and I wanted to
<v Speaker 2>see what this was, if it was going to pass
<v Speaker 2>from behind the haybil well, I watched and suddenly here
<v Speaker 2>came what I perceived to be ahead, looking out, and
<v Speaker 2>I thought it was like the nose of an elk
<v Speaker 2>sized animal or something that was the It poked its
<v Speaker 2>head out, no antlers, and I thought, well, that's really
<v Speaker 2>really kind of crazy. Then it drew it back in
<v Speaker 2>and all of a sudden, just probably a couple of
<v Speaker 2>feet below that it poked out again, and I thought, wow,
<v Speaker 2>this is this is kind of crazy. And then as
<v Speaker 2>it drew it back again, I didn't see it anymore.
<v Speaker 2>So I just continued to sit there. I didn't see
<v Speaker 2>any deer, no activity at all anywhere. So here we go.
<v Speaker 2>That goes in the file in the back of my mind,
<v Speaker 2>and it it was really a puzzle. But the hunting
<v Speaker 2>day was over and I went back several times, never
<v Speaker 2>saw it again, and I always wanted to see what
<v Speaker 2>that was that was on the other side of the haybills. Well,
<v Speaker 2>never again. So it was my practice whenever I was
<v Speaker 2>going hunting there in the mornings, I'd usually get up
<v Speaker 2>about three point thirty get everything going because it was
<v Speaker 2>a fair drive from my house and I wanted to
<v Speaker 2>get there before the sun came out. So I'd just
<v Speaker 2>fry a couple of eggs, make a sandwiches, and that
<v Speaker 2>was my breakfast in my break time, and I'd usually
<v Speaker 2>hunt till one o'clock, two o'clock something like that. Well,
<v Speaker 2>generally I had a little bit of a sandwich left,
<v Speaker 2>i'd just pitch it out out the window of the
<v Speaker 2>car and then i'd get everything together and go back
<v Speaker 2>and hunt. I bowl hunted, and I also gun hunted.
<v Speaker 2>So I was there from the first of October to
<v Speaker 2>the end of the year, at least a couple of
<v Speaker 2>times a week. Well, when i'd come back to the car,
<v Speaker 2>most of the time that little bit of sandwich would
<v Speaker 2>be gone. So I thought that was you know, I
<v Speaker 2>was feeding the raccoon community pretty well. One day I
<v Speaker 2>came back from hunting and I'd stayed a little longer.
<v Speaker 2>It was probably two thirty three o'clock, and I noticed
<v Speaker 2>that it was gone, and I saw something on the
<v Speaker 2>fender or hood of my car. I drove a little
<v Speaker 2>pent old wagon, so it was it was kind of
<v Speaker 2>obscure in the in that brush. And I walked over
<v Speaker 2>and here was a rock up on the hood of
<v Speaker 2>my car. And I picked it up and looked at it.
<v Speaker 2>It was a chirt or flint, but it was white,
<v Speaker 2>and it had some jasper red jasper veins in it.
<v Speaker 2>There was a cute rock. Alan must be out here,
<v Speaker 2>and he just let me know that he's here. So
<v Speaker 2>I stuck it in my pocket and it was probably
<v Speaker 2>three and a half four inches in diameter flat. And
<v Speaker 2>if you know what shirt, how shirt is it chips
<v Speaker 2>up and that's what they made arrowheads out of a
<v Speaker 2>lot in Missouri. In fact, I think there's a shirt
<v Speaker 2>variety that's the state rock of Missouri. But anyway, asked,
<v Speaker 2>I got my pocket, got in the car and went home,
<v Speaker 2>set it up on a shelf. And I saw Alan
<v Speaker 2>in a couple of days. I say, hey, what you
<v Speaker 2>don't put a rock on my car? You know, Kidnam?
<v Speaker 2>And he said, I don't put a rock on your car.
<v Speaker 2>He said, I haven't been in your backyard. I said, no,
<v Speaker 2>this is out at your uncle's place. He said I
<v Speaker 2>hadn't been out there in two weeks. And I said, okay.
<v Speaker 2>So I kept the rock. I've lost it in these
<v Speaker 2>forty years since then. But anyway, I you know, these
<v Speaker 2>things come and they go, and that goes in the
<v Speaker 2>file in my brain and we have all of this
<v Speaker 2>that plays out. So anyway, along as we go along,
<v Speaker 2>and I think this was probably the next bow season
<v Speaker 2>that I went back to that hunting spot, just like
<v Speaker 2>I'd been doing. And I got there way before daylight,
<v Speaker 2>and I thought, well, I'll sit in the car for
<v Speaker 2>just a little bit, and all of a sudden, I
<v Speaker 2>got this horrible sense of foreboding, and I mean it
<v Speaker 2>was a very oppressive feeling. And and suddenly and the
<v Speaker 2>hair standing up on my arms right now because it
<v Speaker 2>was a voice in my mind. And I've called it
<v Speaker 2>an intuitive conversation. I hear people talk about mind speak,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm sure this is very much the same thing.
<v Speaker 2>But it says you're not welcome here, and I thought, okay,
<v Speaker 2>this is going over the line here. And then almost
<v Speaker 2>immediately is you need to leave now? Or it said
<v Speaker 2>leave now? And I thought, you know, if I leave,
<v Speaker 2>I'm never gonna hunt again. This has drawing the line
<v Speaker 2>and I've got to stay here. And then it a
<v Speaker 2>few seconds it says you need to go, and I said,
<v Speaker 2>now I'm a little on the stubborn side. And then
<v Speaker 2>and it was the expression of what was in my
<v Speaker 2>mind changed with each one of these things that got stronger.
<v Speaker 2>And then after a pause, it was so impressive, saying
<v Speaker 2>you're going to die. And I said, if I don't
<v Speaker 2>get out of this car, I'm never going to have
<v Speaker 2>the guts to hunt again. So I got out. I
<v Speaker 2>opened the hatch of the little station wagon, I took
<v Speaker 2>the bowl out, set it on top, and I don't
<v Speaker 2>know if I'm sure that you experienced the same kind
<v Speaker 2>of thing when someone stands behind you and you don't
<v Speaker 2>see them, but you just know they're there. This was
<v Speaker 2>like it was almost touching. And you know, you talk
<v Speaker 2>about your old crap moment, here's an old crap moment.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think I had the strength to run, so
<v Speaker 2>I thought, well, I'm just going to go ahead. I
<v Speaker 2>reached up, closed the hatch and put my hand on
<v Speaker 2>my bow. It wheeled around. Nothing was there. It was,
<v Speaker 2>you know, it was just that strong, I believe oppressive feeling.
<v Speaker 2>But I thought, okay, maybe this is over. So I
<v Speaker 2>turned around started the walk down the little little clearing road.
<v Speaker 2>It wasn't even a gravel road. It is just a
<v Speaker 2>dirt road. I went down through that cut bank and
<v Speaker 2>it was like the thicket on my left came alive.
<v Speaker 2>I've never experienced anything like. It was just as though
<v Speaker 2>you know, it's you take the old movies where the
<v Speaker 2>hands are re out of the darkness. You know, it's
<v Speaker 2>such a thing. It wasn't that, but it was that
<v Speaker 2>simkom of feeling. And I got about halfway down and
<v Speaker 2>my feet wanted to turn around and go the other way,
<v Speaker 2>but I walked on. I gritted my teeth and I said, Lord,
<v Speaker 2>if you've ever walked by me, you need to be
<v Speaker 2>walking by me right now. I got down to the bottom, turned,
<v Speaker 2>went to the tree stand, climbed up in the tree stand,
<v Speaker 2>and all of that stopped. It was like there was
<v Speaker 2>it was no more opposition. That I sat there and
<v Speaker 2>I said, this has got to be some kind of
<v Speaker 2>demonic thing. And I was still denying the fact because
<v Speaker 2>I'd never heard anything about mind speaking. I'd never heard
<v Speaker 2>of all of the things that we hear today. This
<v Speaker 2>is nineteen eighty three, eighty four, So it was everything
<v Speaker 2>was just full of ignorance. I guess you might say
<v Speaker 2>in those days, Momo was a hairy guy, you know,
<v Speaker 2>that appeared in people's yards, and that's all that anybody
<v Speaker 2>ever said. So anyway, that was the last time I
<v Speaker 2>still hunted. I never saw anything else. I never experienced anything.
<v Speaker 2>And there was deer movement after that, But it was
<v Speaker 2>so funny anytime there was any of this other going on,
<v Speaker 2>I never saw a deer all day long. Well, if
<v Speaker 2>we go from that time to one of my moves
<v Speaker 2>after that was to the state of Mississippi, and I
<v Speaker 2>moved into Lincoln County, Mississippi. It's really funny. In Missouri,
<v Speaker 2>there's Pike County in Lincoln County Highway sixty one from
<v Speaker 2>Saint Louis, and there in Mississippi there's also Pike in
<v Speaker 2>Lincoln County that had joined. I moved to Lincoln County
<v Speaker 2>this time, and as almost immediately I started hearing people
<v Speaker 2>talking about animal mutilation that had been going on. Started
<v Speaker 2>with goats and moved into calves and such as that. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>you know, I thought, well, that sounds like the occult maybe,
<v Speaker 2>or or some kind of cults that are uh trying
<v Speaker 2>to gear up whatever. And so I continued to be
<v Speaker 2>a counselor and uh worked some with the state of Mississippi.
<v Speaker 2>And so as we went along in that regard, I
<v Speaker 2>started to feel a little more comfortable with doing some
<v Speaker 2>deer hunting there and such as that, and became acquainted
<v Speaker 2>with another guy named Alan, and Alan and I hunted
<v Speaker 2>together quite a bit. Well. We he he had told
<v Speaker 2>me of an area that bordered on the Homuchhead of
<v Speaker 2>National Forest, which would have and Lincoln and Pike County,
<v Speaker 2>and so we had to cross private land to get
<v Speaker 2>to this area, and he got all the permission for that.
<v Speaker 2>We had across one place where I lived, and this
<v Speaker 2>guy had twelve kids, and so we had to make
<v Speaker 2>friends with all the kids when we went in and
<v Speaker 2>all of that. But with twelve kids, he had a
<v Speaker 2>lot of toys strewing around in the yard such as that.
<v Speaker 2>So we began to pick out places to hunt such
<v Speaker 2>as that. So anyway, Alan called me one day and
<v Speaker 2>he said, I went out yesterday and he said, there's
<v Speaker 2>the weirdest thing. He said, it's on the hillside. And
<v Speaker 2>next time you go out. He told me how to
<v Speaker 2>get there through the woods, and he said, next time,
<v Speaker 2>take a look at that. You said, I think we've
<v Speaker 2>got some homeless people maybe that are living in there. Something.
<v Speaker 2>So I went in a couple of days and I
<v Speaker 2>walked up there, and you have to remember, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I'm still not a believer. I'm not putting two to
<v Speaker 2>two together like most human beings. I just kind of
<v Speaker 2>kept everything going, and all of these things are happenstances.
<v Speaker 2>I was a victim of I guess drinking the kool
<v Speaker 2>aid of down or something. So I go in there
<v Speaker 2>and I'm looking around looking for deer signs such as this,
<v Speaker 2>and I walked up on the hillside that he was
<v Speaker 2>talking about. When I got there, it was really odd
<v Speaker 2>because here was what appeared to be almost a perfect
<v Speaker 2>circle on the side of this hill, rocks and poles
<v Speaker 2>that were not cut, they were broken, that were leaning
<v Speaker 2>up in like a tepee shape, and there was some
<v Speaker 2>brush on top. But they weren't around the entire circle.
<v Speaker 2>It was like a half or maybe a little more.
<v Speaker 2>And some had been knocked down they were laying on
<v Speaker 2>the ground and such as that, but there was enough
<v Speaker 2>still standing that I could see how they were put together.
<v Speaker 2>They were stacked against a tree in the center, and
<v Speaker 2>there was like a part of a little tree or
<v Speaker 2>a limb or something that was stuck in the fork,
<v Speaker 2>and they were leaned against it. And I thought, well,
<v Speaker 2>somebody just builtimate clubhouse. I think is what it is,
<v Speaker 2>because there were no signs of any cooking or anything
<v Speaker 2>like that. But what I was seeing was that the
<v Speaker 2>poles were arranged on the north side and downhill into
<v Speaker 2>this really would would have probably been the south west
<v Speaker 2>uh was built open UH. And so I walked up,
<v Speaker 2>went inside that circle and began to look around, and
<v Speaker 2>here here were rocks UH and trinkets I would say, uh,
<v Speaker 2>and even a couple of the the toys that could
<v Speaker 2>have come from the fellow's yard who had all the kids.
<v Speaker 2>And I thought, well, there's somebody that's uh that's either
<v Speaker 2>from that house playing or uh, somebody maybe has just
<v Speaker 2>stolen something or put it in there. But I saw
<v Speaker 2>cans with coverful labels, uh, just like probably two or
<v Speaker 2>three of them. But these were arranged around where the
<v Speaker 2>rocks were. And so I told Alan, I said, I
<v Speaker 2>looked at that. That weird. He said yeah. And I
<v Speaker 2>also noticed that there were trees, small trees that were broken.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think I said anything about it, but when
<v Speaker 2>I was in mark Twain Forrest near Van Buren, I
<v Speaker 2>saw trees that were broken. I'm six feet tall, and
<v Speaker 2>they were at least had high where the brakes were,
<v Speaker 2>and they were up you know, anywhere from two to
<v Speaker 2>four inches in diameter, I guess. And these it was
<v Speaker 2>the same way there in Mississippi, and it was like
<v Speaker 2>they they didn't have any regular pattern to them that
<v Speaker 2>I could see. But that it seems like as as
<v Speaker 2>time went along, there was more and more evidence that
<v Speaker 2>was being thrown in my direction, and I just wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>I wouldn't pulling things together on it. So anyway, I
<v Speaker 2>had a young guy who had lost his dad, and
<v Speaker 2>I used to take him hunting and fishing and such
<v Speaker 2>as that. And we went into the Homa Chita forest
<v Speaker 2>and somebody had put up a tree stand. So I
<v Speaker 2>got out of the truck and Jamie said, I'm going
<v Speaker 2>to go over here to the right. He said it's
<v Speaker 2>kind of easy walk, and I said, okay, I'm going
<v Speaker 2>to get in the old tree stand down here, and
<v Speaker 2>so I went down. I got in the tree stand
<v Speaker 2>and the squirrels were all over and they were making
<v Speaker 2>noise and all kinds of things. And I thought, well,
<v Speaker 2>you're going to hide my noise from the deer, or
<v Speaker 2>it's going to keep the deer stirred up and they're
<v Speaker 2>not going to come around. But I was bound and
<v Speaker 2>determined to stay until it was almost dark and then
<v Speaker 2>go back to the truck. I knew Jamie'd be coming
<v Speaker 2>back to the truck too. So anyway, it came to that,
<v Speaker 2>and as it was really starting to get dark or
<v Speaker 2>get the sun was going down, I saw a movement
<v Speaker 2>in the This was a pretty flat area and there
<v Speaker 2>was a thicket, probably again about seventy yards from where
<v Speaker 2>I was, and I saw someone walking in the thicket
<v Speaker 2>and I thought, well, Jamie, what are you doing in there?
<v Speaker 2>And instead of walking on the outside, at the outside
<v Speaker 2>of the ticket, this guy was walking probably five six
<v Speaker 2>feet inside the ticket. And I looked and there were
<v Speaker 2>a couple of distinctive things. I thought, he's got the
<v Speaker 2>strangest hat on I ever saw for a hunter. And
<v Speaker 2>then I thought of the guy that I saw. They
<v Speaker 2>had the head net on, and I thought, well, maybe
<v Speaker 2>that's what it is. But the other thing was to
<v Speaker 2>be walking through a thicket, his head and shoulders weren't
<v Speaker 2>really moving. It was almost like that part of his
<v Speaker 2>body was just gliding along. He went up and turned
<v Speaker 2>before he got to the road and went on, and
<v Speaker 2>I thought, well, if that's Jamie, how did he get there?
<v Speaker 2>And why is he walking away from the truck because
<v Speaker 2>the truck was straight up from where I was, So anyway,
<v Speaker 2>I got down from the stand and I thought, well,
<v Speaker 2>maybe I better go in case he's getting lost. And
<v Speaker 2>I got up there here stands Jamie beside the truck.
<v Speaker 2>And I said, I said, why were you doing down
<v Speaker 2>by my stand? He said, I've been off the other side,
<v Speaker 2>he said, I didn't move it on. Well, we got
<v Speaker 2>in the truck and drove out the gravel road and
<v Speaker 2>there was no vehicle. Until we got to the main road,
<v Speaker 2>we saw nothing, and here we go with another puzzle.
<v Speaker 2>And it's you know, it's just one of those things
<v Speaker 2>that you think, how in the world, How in the
<v Speaker 2>world am I going to fit this in? But anyway,
<v Speaker 2>looking back on all of my life, I think that
<v Speaker 2>there were realities there that were presented to me, and
<v Speaker 2>the fact that I was following a mindset I did
<v Speaker 2>not recognize them. I was talking to my wife yesterday
<v Speaker 2>about when I was a little guy, we'd have dinner
<v Speaker 2>with my grandparents, who they just lived around the corner,
<v Speaker 2>and my grandpa and my dad was sitt on the
<v Speaker 2>front porch and talk about all sorts of things from
<v Speaker 2>the past. And I was a little guy, and a
<v Speaker 2>little guy run around barefoot, and I knew not to
<v Speaker 2>get out in the yard because somebody invariably had thrown
<v Speaker 2>a cigarette out there somewhere and I was going to
<v Speaker 2>step on it, and I didn't want that. So I
<v Speaker 2>just sat there and listened to him, didn't say very much,
<v Speaker 2>and my grandpa was talking about different things when he
<v Speaker 2>was a boy in Arkansas. From where that porch was
<v Speaker 2>to Arkansas, it was only about thirteen fourteen miles and
<v Speaker 2>he grew up in Nimon's, Arkansas, was born and grew
<v Speaker 2>into an older boy there, and it's right on where
<v Speaker 2>it was, was right on the Saint Francis River, and
<v Speaker 2>he talked about different things. He and my grandma were
<v Speaker 2>always funny. I'd say, well, I'm going to go here there, Well,
<v Speaker 2>don't let the boogers get you. If you're getting in
<v Speaker 2>the woods, I don't let the boogers get you. And
<v Speaker 2>I always wrote that off. As you know, they were
<v Speaker 2>all My grandma also said, don't tell a lie of
<v Speaker 2>the boogerman will get you. And so I'm thinking the
<v Speaker 2>boogerman that's what she was talking about. And so anyway,
<v Speaker 2>my grandpa said, uh, you know, there's boogers down there,
<v Speaker 2>and obviously they're looking at him. My dad said, you know,
<v Speaker 2>you just never know what's out there. And so my
<v Speaker 2>grandpa was talking about bull snakes. Well, that's the same
<v Speaker 2>thing as a gopher snake, I found out. And they're
<v Speaker 2>they're kind of crazy snakes. They act like rattlesnakes. They
<v Speaker 2>shake their tail and they hiss and all that. But
<v Speaker 2>he said, we used to hear something and people tell us,
<v Speaker 2>ask your those oh bull snakes, said they bella like
<v Speaker 2>a bull. And so it made me want to find
<v Speaker 2>out about bull snakes. So I found out that bull
<v Speaker 2>snakes don't bellow like a bull. And so now since
<v Speaker 2>I have some knowledge about uh, the realities of of
<v Speaker 2>what's really in the woods, I wonder if they weren't
<v Speaker 2>experiencing some some cryptid uh vocalizations in those days. And
<v Speaker 2>so uh he also uh. They moved into Missouri, which
<v Speaker 2>was still along the uh Saint Francis River, and he
<v Speaker 2>grew into manhood, living in the bottoms there out from Campbell, Missouri. Well, uh,
<v Speaker 2>he had a uh an experience, he said, Uh, he said,
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what I saw, but he said, he
<v Speaker 2>said it was the biggest wolf I ever saw. And
<v Speaker 2>he began to tell us about it, and he said,
<v Speaker 2>you know, we'd still hear the hear the old bull snakes,
<v Speaker 2>and he said, I never knew if that was connected
<v Speaker 2>or what. Well, my grandpa he liked to embellish some things.
<v Speaker 2>I thought, well, okay, maybe this is one of his
<v Speaker 2>times he's making the story more interesting, and so his
<v Speaker 2>time with a log. Yet I'd ask him some different things.
<v Speaker 2>And his mother was a Quawpau full blooded Quawpaw Indian,
<v Speaker 2>and he said, my mama told me about a lot
<v Speaker 2>of stuff. And he said, if you go to the woods,
<v Speaker 2>just be careful. He said, if you if you go
<v Speaker 2>out in the woods, even squirrel hunt, and he said,
<v Speaker 2>be careful. So anyway, my you know, my head's full
<v Speaker 2>of all this stuff. And I'm struggling with it because
<v Speaker 2>I you know, since nineteen sixty seven, I've been convinced
<v Speaker 2>there's something in the northeast, but I mean in the northwest,
<v Speaker 2>but nobody's told me that it could be right where
<v Speaker 2>I live. And so anyway, time passed. We moved back
<v Speaker 2>into Missouri, and my folks were getting older, so I
<v Speaker 2>was kind of watching after them. And it would have
<v Speaker 2>been somewhere around nineteen ninety three ninety four. I got
<v Speaker 2>all this stuff in my head and it can't be
<v Speaker 2>It can't be real because people will say it's not real.
<v Speaker 2>Even my education told me that there are strong figments
<v Speaker 2>of people's imagination. But the thing I could never figure
<v Speaker 2>out is why so many people have the same imagination.
<v Speaker 2>So anyway, my dad contracted cancer. He was he was
<v Speaker 2>still doing rather well. And I went by one day
<v Speaker 2>and he said, you're going a minute and I will
<v Speaker 2>tell you something, And I said sure. My dad was
<v Speaker 2>one of the most truthful people as far as I know.
<v Speaker 2>He never told me a lie. He was a man
<v Speaker 2>of character. And he said, I want to tell you
<v Speaker 2>what happened to me one time. He said, you were
<v Speaker 2>still a baby. And in those days, we're talking early fifties. Uh,
<v Speaker 2>he was. He was quite a hunter, and he helped
<v Speaker 2>to feed his family on game that he brought in.
<v Speaker 2>And so he went to squirrel hunting, rabbit hunting something. Uh.
<v Speaker 2>Drove drove his truck down to those same bottoms out
<v Speaker 2>from Campbell on the Saint Francis River, and he said, uh,
<v Speaker 2>I walked down this field road and started into the
<v Speaker 2>woods and he said I saw something ahead of me.
<v Speaker 2>And he said it wasn't really good daylight yet, and
<v Speaker 2>he said, I just saw something and he said, I
<v Speaker 2>took a few more steps and he said it moved
<v Speaker 2>its head and he said it had a really big head.
<v Speaker 2>And he said it had ears that stood up. And
<v Speaker 2>he said, I don't know if that's a dog, or
<v Speaker 2>if I've found a wolf, or if it's cold or what. So,
<v Speaker 2>he said, he took a couple of more steps, and
<v Speaker 2>this is the thing that's burned into my memory, he said.
<v Speaker 2>And then it stood up, and the hair on my
<v Speaker 2>arms is standing up right now. And he said I
<v Speaker 2>could see its eyes. He said it had teeth, and
<v Speaker 2>he said it was almost as tall as me and
<v Speaker 2>my dad. I think six one. So, uh, he said,
<v Speaker 2>I've I stopped. He said, I started to walk backwards
<v Speaker 2>and kept He said, I kept my eyes on it
<v Speaker 2>until I got to a point that I thought, well,
<v Speaker 2>maybe it can't catch me, and so he said, I
<v Speaker 2>didn't want to run. He said, I walked as fast
<v Speaker 2>as I could and got back to the truck. He said,
<v Speaker 2>I never looked back. He said, I started the truck
<v Speaker 2>and drove home. And he said, I've never told anybody
<v Speaker 2>about this. This. You're the first person I've ever told.
<v Speaker 2>He said, I'm afraid people will tell me I'm crazy
<v Speaker 2>and believe that. And my dad was. He was a
<v Speaker 2>construction superintendent. They built hospitals and all of this. He said,
<v Speaker 2>I never wanted to be branded as somebody who's crazy.
<v Speaker 2>And I might lose my job. But after he told
<v Speaker 2>me that, I began to put together all of the
<v Speaker 2>things that had happened and just really began to wonder.
<v Speaker 2>And I thought, Man, if these things are real, I
<v Speaker 2>want to see something. I want to see something definitive.
<v Speaker 2>But still, you know the old thing of where are
<v Speaker 2>the bones? Where are the bodies? Where are all of
<v Speaker 2>these things? And I live in Florida now, and so
<v Speaker 2>I after I moved here, I began to get hold
<v Speaker 2>of some YouTube stuff and some of the stuff about Ohio,
<v Speaker 2>and some of those things just really began to make
<v Speaker 2>an impression on me. And I began to read what
<v Speaker 2>I could, and I saw that people were experiencing the
<v Speaker 2>same things I experienced all over and I begin to
<v Speaker 2>see that it most likely is a reality. It wasn't
<v Speaker 2>long ago my wife and I went to an Indian
<v Speaker 2>powwow they had. It was an inner tribal thing, and
<v Speaker 2>she had never been to one. I'd only been to
<v Speaker 2>one myself, and so we went in. And I have
<v Speaker 2>a shirt that says Bigfoot the World Hide and Seek Champion,
<v Speaker 2>and I was wearing that shirt that day and one
<v Speaker 2>fella said, Hey, what do you think about Bigfoot? I said, well,
<v Speaker 2>seemed to be some reality there. And I said, I
<v Speaker 2>I'm not sure what all the forms are and everything else,
<v Speaker 2>but I said, it looks like there's something real. He said,
<v Speaker 2>he said, I think they're a Neanderthal that got caught
<v Speaker 2>up in an evolution. And I said, I'm not sure
<v Speaker 2>what you're talking about, but you know that's entirely plausible.
<v Speaker 2>Then another fellow, I mean, he wasn't twenty feet from
<v Speaker 2>where this guy was. He said, my wife and I
<v Speaker 2>we believe something. He said, I'm not sure what to believe,
<v Speaker 2>but we believe something. And so you know, the whole
<v Speaker 2>thing is is getting more and more widespread. And my
<v Speaker 2>mind's a whole lot more at peace now with putting
<v Speaker 2>together these things. And I'm talking over you know, forty years,
<v Speaker 2>forty five years of all of the things, the input
<v Speaker 2>that has come into my being, and it's just one
<v Speaker 2>of those evolving things. I guess in my mind that
<v Speaker 2>says we're a hold of something here. So anyway, that's
<v Speaker 2>that's a compressed time, Miguel of what I've experienced, and
<v Speaker 2>if you allow it, I believe that there's some reality
<v Speaker 2>that may come about. Now. My wife and I are
<v Speaker 2>looking at moving to Tennessee or Alabama one or the other,
<v Speaker 2>and this whole thing is become full circle because I've
<v Speaker 2>been doing some research into sightings and different things in
<v Speaker 2>that very area and just south of Land between the Lakes,
<v Speaker 2>and I know a lot of stuff goes on there.
<v Speaker 2>But that's that's Randy's story and he's sticking.
<v Speaker 1>To it, all right, Randy, I appreciate you so much
<v Speaker 1>for sharing your experiences and the encounters with me when
<v Speaker 1>you were hunting and Van Buren, Missouri, was this close
<v Speaker 1>to Big Tree. I don't know if you're if you're
<v Speaker 1>familiar with the area.
<v Speaker 2>Big Tree. No, I'm not familiar with that. I know
<v Speaker 2>that where I hunted was at one of the corner
<v Speaker 2>posts of the fence, which would have been the north
<v Speaker 2>west corner of Big Spring Park.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's the same area Big Spring. Yeah, Big Tree
<v Speaker 1>Campground in the Ozark National Scene up riverways right there
<v Speaker 1>by the Marketlane National Forest.
<v Speaker 2>Yes. Absolutely. If you go sixty Highway west of Van Buren,
<v Speaker 2>you come to see highway and it was off sea.
<v Speaker 2>Oh wow.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, So I've had people on the show in the
<v Speaker 1>past that have had encounters out there, and I mean
<v Speaker 1>it definitely looks like a squatchy area. Like you said,
<v Speaker 1>it's vast forests out there. There's been missing people reports,
<v Speaker 1>cryptid creature encounters, and strange unsolved mysteries that have been
<v Speaker 1>taking place there for many years. And the current river
<v Speaker 1>has had a long history of bigfoot reports. When you
<v Speaker 1>witness this creature walking around, did you notice any features
<v Speaker 1>on it that really stood out?
<v Speaker 2>Uh? The terrain dropped off too, you know, away from me,
<v Speaker 2>and this little pond had a had a burm around it,
<v Speaker 2>and so he was obscured by that head and shoulders
<v Speaker 2>was about all I saw. And uh, you know, the
<v Speaker 2>the thing of it is looking like a head net,
<v Speaker 2>and it was dark. The head area was dark, but
<v Speaker 2>it made it a peir conical. That's all I could
<v Speaker 2>really see. And so if you can imagine just seeing
<v Speaker 2>that much and knowing that the terrain drops off, I
<v Speaker 2>couldn't see how tall or anything else. But he I
<v Speaker 2>could see him above this berm. And he wasn't struggling
<v Speaker 2>to get along, wasn't u you know, getting caught up
<v Speaker 2>in limbs and vines and things. He moved really pretty
<v Speaker 2>smoothly and quickly. But as far as features, I really
<v Speaker 2>could see it was still, you know, fairly dark, but
<v Speaker 2>he would have been coming from a thick area going
<v Speaker 2>into an area that had been log so, you know,
<v Speaker 2>the the whole thing was And I just thought this
<v Speaker 2>is odd because he never came out he had All
<v Speaker 2>I could see was a head, no no eyes, no nose,
<v Speaker 2>no anything that I could see. And he was coming
<v Speaker 2>from a heavily forested area through this beside this thicket
<v Speaker 2>and going into a more open area. And so I
<v Speaker 2>I would take it that he had to be pretty
<v Speaker 2>large and muscular not to get caught up in the
<v Speaker 2>brush and such as that. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. And the first read flag that you had was
<v Speaker 1>it sounded like someone was chopping wood. I experienced this
<v Speaker 1>a handful of times in the past, and it just
<v Speaker 1>sounds like somebody's hacking away on a tree with a
<v Speaker 1>with an axe or like a Louisville slugger. What were
<v Speaker 1>your thoughts in those moments? You thought somebody else was
<v Speaker 1>in the woods with you?
<v Speaker 2>Right? Oh yeah, oh yeah, And I would say at
<v Speaker 2>least at least one hundred yards away from the sound
<v Speaker 2>of it. And you know, looking back, and uh, what
<v Speaker 2>I have heard in recordings as far as wood knocks.
<v Speaker 2>That's exactly what it sounded like. But the only reference
<v Speaker 2>point I had was somebody's chopping wood and why are
<v Speaker 2>they doing it at four point thirty in the morning,
<v Speaker 2>you know?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely. And the vocalization that you heard. Can you
<v Speaker 1>compare it to any known animal or anything that you've
<v Speaker 1>ever heard before?
<v Speaker 2>No, you know, the thing of it is, it was
<v Speaker 2>like a roar when you go to the zoo and
<v Speaker 2>you hear a lion on the other side of the
<v Speaker 2>zoo cutloose with a roar, maybe something like that, but
<v Speaker 2>nothing that I nothing I really could put my finger
<v Speaker 2>on as being just closely similar.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and the vocalization echo through the forest. You definitely know.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't any new animal that should be there right
<v Speaker 1>right right.
<v Speaker 2>See, that's not the first. That was the first that
<v Speaker 2>I had heard, but it's not the only thing I've
<v Speaker 2>heard around Van Buren. It just came to mind. We
<v Speaker 2>were camping at the Watercress campground on Current River and
<v Speaker 2>it's within the city limits of Van Buren, and my
<v Speaker 2>son and I were sitting at a campfire there and
<v Speaker 2>upstream I don't know how far there. We were sitting together.
<v Speaker 2>Everything was quiet at all of a sudden, I hear
<v Speaker 2>this same kind of sound and it went on for Uh,
<v Speaker 2>you don't I'm going to guess ten seconds. I mean

<v Speaker 2>of lung capacity. It has to be something vastly different
<v Speaker 2>than what we have reference to. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, And that's not too far away from where you
<v Speaker 1>encountered this thing. When you were hunting a year later
<v Speaker 1>you found tracks in the area, And did do they
<v Speaker 1>resemble like bigfoot tracks that you've seen before, like on
<v Speaker 1>TV or on the internet?
<v Speaker 2>It? Uh, well, it was like they were trampled. It's
<v Speaker 2>like something got mired in the mud and such as that.
<v Speaker 2>But I could tell that the spacing, like from front
<v Speaker 2>to back, seemed to be long. It was there was
<v Speaker 2>nothing distinct in that it was just like holes. And
<v Speaker 2>if you've ever walked in gumbo, you know you when
<v Speaker 2>you take a step, it doesn't make us you print.
<v Speaker 2>It's just a hole and you're lucky to keep your
<v Speaker 2>boot on. Uh. And that's the way this looked, that
<v Speaker 2>something had really been mired up. I didn't see anything
<v Speaker 2>distinctive as far as toes or or instead or the
<v Speaker 2>arch or anything like that. Heel.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, And what were your thoughts in that moment when
<v Speaker 1>you witnessed this huge creature walking through the woods. Did
<v Speaker 1>you did you feel afraid? Did you want to get
<v Speaker 1>out there out of there? Or did you think maybe
<v Speaker 1>it was just one of your friends.
<v Speaker 2>I just thought it was another hunter. And you know,
<v Speaker 2>when something happens like that so much much of the
<v Speaker 2>time you don't really think about it, and then later
<v Speaker 2>on you think about it. Where was this guy going?
<v Speaker 2>He was going into the thickest part of the forest
<v Speaker 2>in that area, and if he didn't come out to
<v Speaker 2>the to the road. And so the more I thought
<v Speaker 2>about it, the more I thought it was like less
<v Speaker 2>of a hunter and more something you know that I
<v Speaker 2>couldn't explain. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, And when you were watching the turkeys that were
<v Speaker 1>flocked up in the tree by Greenville, Missouri, off the
<v Speaker 1>Saint Francis River. It seems like these turkeys knew exactly
<v Speaker 1>what was vocalizing, and perhaps the sasquatch had been taking
<v Speaker 1>turkey out of those flocks for food.
<v Speaker 2>That's what I thought, because usually turkeys will just fly
<v Speaker 2>fly down out of the tree. But these, let's see,
<v Speaker 2>where I was sitting was twenty yards from the edge
<v Speaker 2>of the water, let's say they were They were probably
<v Speaker 2>about fifteen feet behind me in the tree, and I
<v Speaker 2>had a turkey hunted there, and I know I've seen
<v Speaker 2>them come off the rooft in that area and they
<v Speaker 2>just fly down and then kind of get their bearings
<v Speaker 2>of what they're going to do, or they'll start feeding immediately.
<v Speaker 2>And it's like they didn't want to come down, they
<v Speaker 2>weren't going to do that, and they just waited and waited,
<v Speaker 2>and finally they didn't touch down until they got i'm
<v Speaker 2>going to say thirty forty feet on the other side
<v Speaker 2>of the river. They flew in the air across there.
<v Speaker 2>So I would say that they knew what the score
<v Speaker 2>was and they had to they had to do what
<v Speaker 2>was out of the ordinary for them, So it wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>surprise me at all if the creature had gotten a
<v Speaker 2>few lunches out of those turkeys. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely, They're no stranger to Bigfoot. And when you moved
<v Speaker 1>to Pike County, Missouri, the locals were talking about the
<v Speaker 1>legendary Missouri Monster. And later on when you went hunting,
<v Speaker 1>you encountered yet again another creature that was moving through
<v Speaker 1>the thicket. And it hid behind a haybail and was
<v Speaker 1>kind of peeking out and repeating the pattern back and forth.
<v Speaker 1>Did you notice any anything that really stood out on
<v Speaker 1>that creature that said it wasn't human?
<v Speaker 2>I could tell it was not human. The thing that
<v Speaker 2>got me was, I believe from the way that I
<v Speaker 2>saw it, it was on all fours when it came
<v Speaker 2>from the thicket up to the hay bales, and if
<v Speaker 2>it were on all fours or crouched over, its back
<v Speaker 2>was more than five feet tall, you know, above the bales,
<v Speaker 2>because the bales are just right at five feet. And
<v Speaker 2>then I could not see eyes, couldn't see anything else
<v Speaker 2>but the primary feature looking back, I thought it was
<v Speaker 2>an animal with it it's snout sticking out. I think
<v Speaker 2>actually that might have been the top of its head
<v Speaker 2>because it was it was conical, you know, And I,
<v Speaker 2>of course I didn't think anything about it then. But
<v Speaker 2>with what I've seen and what people describe, I think
<v Speaker 2>that would have been at maybe maybe on all fours
<v Speaker 2>and just looking out, probably in my direction, head first,
<v Speaker 2>looking down the side of the haybial.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Absolutely, a creature the size of an elk moving
<v Speaker 1>on all four is displaying odd, odd behavior is definitely
<v Speaker 1>not human. And do you remember the color of the creature?
<v Speaker 2>Dark? Very dark? Okay?
<v Speaker 1>And what do you think it was up to?
<v Speaker 2>Uh? Maybe it was as curious about me as what
<v Speaker 2>I was about it. But uh, the thing of it is,
<v Speaker 2>and and you know my habit was to take a
<v Speaker 2>break and throw some some leftover sandwich out. And maybe
<v Speaker 2>he would have been going for that the the gifting
<v Speaker 2>when I when I really began to think about that,
<v Speaker 2>I thought, evidently they liked what I was giving them,
<v Speaker 2>and they thought I was giving them something, And maybe
<v Speaker 2>that was it. Where I parked every time the car
<v Speaker 2>could be seen across that field, it wasn't obscured in
<v Speaker 2>that in that regard and in that area, So who knows?
<v Speaker 2>It could have been the treat he was looking for.
<v Speaker 2>It could have been that he knew exactly where I
<v Speaker 2>was and I was just trying to see what I
<v Speaker 2>was going to be doing. That was that was during
<v Speaker 2>gun season.
<v Speaker 1>Wow, Yeah, that's an excellent theory. And I didn't think
<v Speaker 1>of that. Maybe this creature had been around all along,
<v Speaker 1>and you were throwing out the scraps from the breakfast sandwiches,
<v Speaker 1>and when you were out there in the field was
<v Speaker 1>kind of circling, circling you to see if maybe you're
<v Speaker 1>going to throw out some food. He's like, Man, I
<v Speaker 1>know this guy, and he usually tosses us some food.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. Yeah, I think that's entirely possible. And you know,
<v Speaker 2>the thing of it is, why did why did this
<v Speaker 2>suddenly back up on me? You know? Okay, maybe we're
<v Speaker 2>friends at first, and all of a sudden, maybe I
<v Speaker 2>I had not come often enough for him, or maybe
<v Speaker 2>I wasn't leaving the scraps like I had before or something,
<v Speaker 2>you know, and suddenly I was unwelcome. So I think
<v Speaker 2>all of that probably fits together absolutely.
<v Speaker 1>And they left you a rock on the hood of
<v Speaker 1>your vehicle, letting you know that they've been watching you,
<v Speaker 1>and maybe that was a token of their gratitude.
<v Speaker 2>I have read a lot about the gifting, and a
<v Speaker 2>lot of times I think they are. They are doing
<v Speaker 2>some things in exchange.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think so too. The Native Americans talked about
<v Speaker 1>trading with these creatures, and I don't think it was
<v Speaker 1>so much in the sense of them coming up and
<v Speaker 1>they're trading like mushrooms and dear me and the Sasquatch
<v Speaker 1>are giving them something. I think they're referring to gifting
<v Speaker 1>right right.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. And with the thing in Mississippi, these where the
<v Speaker 2>structure was, I think it was the same sort of
<v Speaker 2>thing because these were not ordinary rocks. I used to
<v Speaker 2>kid about it, as you know, I come from Missouri
<v Speaker 2>where we have these huge outcropping of rocks. In Mississippi,
<v Speaker 2>the biggest rock you find you can put in your pocket,
<v Speaker 2>and I found those size rocks. But they were decorative,
<v Speaker 2>you know, as opposed to just a gray rock. They
<v Speaker 2>were they were special. They might have been a fossil
<v Speaker 2>or something like that. So I think all of that
<v Speaker 2>fits together with things that may impress them.
<v Speaker 1>No, yeah, absolutely. And when I was referring to the
<v Speaker 1>Native Americans gifting with them, I kind of picture in
<v Speaker 1>my mind, like when they get out of their tps
<v Speaker 1>in the morning or whenever they waked up. Whenever they
<v Speaker 1>woke up, there would be like a deer right there
<v Speaker 1>in camp. And they would perhaps leave items out in
<v Speaker 1>the woods for these things. So it wasn't like direct gifting,
<v Speaker 1>but the same activity that we experienced today. And yeah, right,
<v Speaker 1>you have the rocks in a circle that definitely lines
<v Speaker 1>up with bigfoot activity. The tree breaks, the tepee structures,
<v Speaker 1>and the voice in your head. That's terrifying. This things
<v Speaker 1>telling you to get out of the area and it's
<v Speaker 1>going to take your life. That's that's frightening. And you
<v Speaker 1>mustered up the courage to push through the forest to
<v Speaker 1>go hunting because you didn't want this to ruin the
<v Speaker 1>area for you. I can't imagine how you felt when
<v Speaker 1>you were walking through there and the dread that overcame you.
<v Speaker 2>Uh yeah, absolutely, any time I think about it, to
<v Speaker 2>hear him arm still stands up after all these years.
<v Speaker 2>But I I really had to talk to my to
<v Speaker 2>my feet and tell them to move. That's how how
<v Speaker 2>terrifying it was. But I I I'm not gonna let
<v Speaker 2>this overcome me. And because I at that time, I
<v Speaker 2>was looking at it as spiritual rather than material, and
<v Speaker 2>then looking back, I can see that it was very
<v Speaker 2>much material, and so it's kind of a huge reversal
<v Speaker 2>inside of my being of really how everything stacks in
<v Speaker 2>regard to these these creatures.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, absolutely, I see it as physical evidence and
<v Speaker 1>spiritual And a lot of people have talked about the
<v Speaker 1>telepathic messages that they've received from the Sasquatch, and it
<v Speaker 1>blows my mind, and it makes me wonder of their
<v Speaker 1>true origins and what they're truly capable.
<v Speaker 2>Of, right right, I I look back on it, it
<v Speaker 2>makes me wonder if are they are they capable of harm? Uh?
<v Speaker 2>You know, it's it's a fearsome thing, but if it
<v Speaker 2>wanted to kill me, it would have.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, yeah, absolutely, And I'm sure they can. I
<v Speaker 1>mean they can rip trees out of the ground. And
<v Speaker 1>there's a lot of people that have went missing. Maybe
<v Speaker 1>maybe the fact that you pushed through it, you know,
<v Speaker 1>it made them second guess themselves and they didn't want
<v Speaker 1>to mess with you. I know your dog wants to
<v Speaker 1>go outside. I can hear them whinding. But I just
<v Speaker 1>have I have one more question or one more thing
<v Speaker 1>that I want to bring up. Your father encounter to
<v Speaker 1>wear a wolf creature. He said it had plenty ears
<v Speaker 1>and it stood up. And this happened in Missouri off
<v Speaker 1>the Saint Francis River, correct, correct, Yeah, and this is
<v Speaker 1>in the Mark twenty National Forest.
<v Speaker 2>Uh No, this was Uh did you say it was
<v Speaker 2>not in it? Or it was? It was?
<v Speaker 1>Correct? Because that area is Okay.
<v Speaker 2>It was. It was near Campbell, Missouri, which is in
<v Speaker 2>Dunklin County in the boot Heel Okay, but still plus
<v Speaker 2>Market Francis in the the bottoms of the Saint Francis
<v Speaker 2>where borders Arkansas.
<v Speaker 1>Okay. Well, I've had reports off the Saint Francis River
<v Speaker 1>of bigfoot and dog man and people encountering the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>So I definitely believe your father. And yeah, the fact
<v Speaker 1>that he waited to tell you after he got cancer
<v Speaker 1>just makes it that much more believable. You can tell
<v Speaker 1>that he had been holding onto that for a long
<v Speaker 1>time and he wanted to share something really important that
<v Speaker 1>he truly experienced with.
<v Speaker 2>You, right right. He said it was when I was
<v Speaker 2>a baby, and so when he told me, oh I was,
<v Speaker 2>I was forty probably about forty five. So he had
<v Speaker 2>been hanging on to it for a long time. Oh, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. Do you have anything else that you would like
<v Speaker 1>to share, anything else that you can remember, anything that
<v Speaker 1>anyone else told you.
<v Speaker 2>There's one one incident of a fellow and he he said,
<v Speaker 2>I'm not going to tell you everything. This guy was
<v Speaker 2>in Bowling Green, but there's an area off of seventy
<v Speaker 2>nine Highway between seventy nine and sixty one that is
<v Speaker 2>they call it, I think it's they call it Little
<v Speaker 2>Africa or something like that, but it's really, really dense.
<v Speaker 2>He said he got up there, got lost and had
<v Speaker 2>to spend the night in the woods, and he said,
<v Speaker 2>I'll never go in there again. He said, they talk
<v Speaker 2>about Momo. He said, I think that's too good of
<v Speaker 2>a name. And he said that's all I want to
<v Speaker 2>tell you. But he said, if you ever go in there,
<v Speaker 2>I be very careful, you know. And that brought back
<v Speaker 2>my grandpa's thing of you know, watch out for the boogers.
<v Speaker 2>That was his They watch out for the boogers. They'll
<v Speaker 2>get you in the woods. And when this fellow was
<v Speaker 2>telling me, I said, oh, sound like the boogers that
<v Speaker 2>my grandpa was talking about. So anyway, he was a believer,
<v Speaker 2>and evidently he experienced something that it was really scary,
<v Speaker 2>he said, I don't I don't want to even talk
<v Speaker 2>about it, but he said, be careful in that area
<v Speaker 2>if you ever out there. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. I've also had a guy on from Pike County,
<v Speaker 1>pretty close to Troy, Missouri, and he had some serious
<v Speaker 1>bigfoot encounters that took place on his farm. So it
<v Speaker 1>can be too far away from where you had your
<v Speaker 1>experiences at right right.
<v Speaker 2>My experience was north of Highway fifty four and east
<v Speaker 2>of Highway sixty one. Yeah, okay.
<v Speaker 1>I appreciate you for being very transparent with the details,
<v Speaker 1>and it really builds up a better report. A lot
<v Speaker 1>of people hold back on the details the location. Some
<v Speaker 1>people don't even want to mention the state and definitely
<v Speaker 1>not their name. So you being open with all this
<v Speaker 1>definitely helps out a lot more with people who are
<v Speaker 1>experiencing the same thing in those particular areas, and it
<v Speaker 1>helps other people open up and share their own experiences.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah. I'll tell you what. It's been such a long
<v Speaker 2>trick for me. If I can make it easier for
<v Speaker 2>someone to understand part of it and give some credibility,
<v Speaker 2>I want to do that.

<v Speaker 1>who are trying to find answers, and it's not helping
<v Speaker 1>anyone if people aren't sharing the locations. Because people go
<v Speaker 1>and and venture in these areas, whether they're hunting, fishing,
<v Speaker 1>or camping. They take their kids there. And I feel
<v Speaker 1>like people need to know because a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>they don't think these things exist, that it's not it's
<v Speaker 1>not actually happening, but it is, and people running run
<v Speaker 1>into these things and without having prior information, it really
<v Speaker 1>flips their world.
<v Speaker 2>Upside down, right right. Yeah. And you know, when I
<v Speaker 2>started really doing some study on this, I all of
<v Speaker 2>this star to the gel together in my mind and
<v Speaker 2>I thought, hey, Sasquatch has been standing out of here
<v Speaker 2>saying here, I am here, I am here, I am
<v Speaker 2>What are you gonna believe? Oh?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, absolutely, And I completely understand where you're coming from
<v Speaker 1>as far as not putting all the clues together and
<v Speaker 1>knowing exactly what it was. Back then, there wasn't that
<v Speaker 1>much information regarding the subject. And nowadays there's all these stories,
<v Speaker 1>podcast books, movies, and people are able to quickly pinpoint
<v Speaker 1>exactly what's going on. But back then, you know, it
<v Speaker 1>was hard to say what truly was happening. And I
<v Speaker 1>experienced the same thing. I had many experiences scattered throughout
<v Speaker 1>my life, and I always just thought it was mountain
<v Speaker 1>lions or homeless people out in the woods, or maybe
<v Speaker 1>like spiritual activity, like there's ghosts out there in the forest.
<v Speaker 1>But once I put a finger on what was going on,
<v Speaker 1>a light bulb clicked in my mind, and I can
<v Speaker 1>see how everything unfolded for you and where you were
<v Speaker 1>able to find clarity with the experiences that you.
<v Speaker 2>Had right right, And you know that when you when
<v Speaker 2>you hit the light bulb moment, then things really it
<v Speaker 2>seems like everything accelerates, and then you start to remember
<v Speaker 2>other things. I sat down and when before we talk
<v Speaker 2>this time and try to put together all my thoughts,
<v Speaker 2>and just driving down the road, I will think of
<v Speaker 2>something else because everything starts to fall together.
<v Speaker 1>Then oh yeah, absolutely, And it sounds like all the
<v Speaker 1>areas that you've moved to in the past just happened
<v Speaker 1>to have bigfoot activity. And I know there's Sasquatch areas
<v Speaker 1>because I've had people on the show from those particular
<v Speaker 1>spots and more America. So you just happen to bounce
<v Speaker 1>around encrypted areas unknowingly.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I don't know. It's almost like sometimes I've looked
<v Speaker 2>at it and I think, we don't choose them, they
<v Speaker 2>choose us. Oh yeah, who's your receptive here? You know?
<v Speaker 2>And I don't know. It seems like once you begin
<v Speaker 2>to see some things, you see a lot more. Now.
<v Speaker 2>It may be that all of that's presented to everybody.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know, but it's almost like those experiences have
<v Speaker 2>followed me everywhere I've been.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that was the exact impression that I had as
<v Speaker 1>you were telling your telling your experiences, that you were
<v Speaker 1>either marked, tagged, or chosen by these creatures. And it
<v Speaker 1>could be a spiritual thing, it could be a chemical
<v Speaker 1>that your body puts off a frequency, or they just
<v Speaker 1>like you. It's really hard to say, but I definitely
<v Speaker 1>understand where you're coming from. And I've experienced the same
<v Speaker 1>thing myself.
<v Speaker 2>Right right, Well, I was a bee keeper when I
<v Speaker 2>was still living in Missouri, and bees are uncanny in
<v Speaker 2>that one bee can map your face and they more
<v Speaker 2>or less mark you, and within a couple of days,
<v Speaker 2>every bee in the colony knows you. Now how that works,
<v Speaker 2>nobody knows, but if you're marked as a good pheromone,
<v Speaker 2>they all mark you as a good pheromone.
<v Speaker 1>Absolutely. I've discussed that in the past on the channel,
<v Speaker 1>that perhaps the Sasquatch have a hive mind and they're
<v Speaker 1>able to find you no matter where.
<v Speaker 2>You go, right right be And I know a lot
<v Speaker 2>of people talk about portals, and it would be an
<v Speaker 2>interesting thing if it was the same guy following your
<v Speaker 2>around two.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I've thought about that myself. Maybe these things are
<v Speaker 1>utilizing portals. Did you ever experience anything strange out there
<v Speaker 1>in the woods as far as orbs, the sounds of
<v Speaker 1>like metal doors slamming shut, any weird energy anomalies.
<v Speaker 2>No, that is and I've thought about that, and I've
<v Speaker 2>thought back because I know that there are accounts where
<v Speaker 2>there was a light, there was an orb, there was
<v Speaker 2>this that that accompanied big foot activity, and no, I
<v Speaker 2>didn't have anything like that. One of my guys that
<v Speaker 2>I hunted with said that. He uh, he said, man,
<v Speaker 2>he said, they always talk about foxfire. He said, I
<v Speaker 2>think I saw that or swamp gas or something. But
<v Speaker 2>it was, uh, you know, it was just kind of
<v Speaker 2>like business as usual until I would have something that
<v Speaker 2>would come along. I'll tell you something else too. It
<v Speaker 2>just came to mind in uh near Van Buren. I
<v Speaker 2>used to hear it sounded like a cackle almost, And
<v Speaker 2>there was one of the guys I hunted with. I said,
<v Speaker 2>you hear this thing sounds like some kind of weird
<v Speaker 2>bird and he said yeah, he said, God told me
<v Speaker 2>that's a wood hen. And it sounded like a whole
<v Speaker 2>lot like a wood picker. I don't know if you've
<v Speaker 2>experienced that or not, but they have a kind of
<v Speaker 2>a cackle that they do. But this was deeper, and
<v Speaker 2>I said, well, what is a wood hen? Well, I
<v Speaker 2>don't know. Well I did research and I couldn't find
<v Speaker 2>a wood in anywhere, So I wonder if maybe that
<v Speaker 2>wasn't a vocalization.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, very well could have been. And like I said before,
<v Speaker 1>the Vanburian area is a spooky area and it gives
<v Speaker 1>me the feeling that I had when I was in Alaska,
<v Speaker 1>just like so quiet. You can hear a pin drop,
<v Speaker 1>like the barometric pressure is really high, and you can
<v Speaker 1>feel all the hairs on your body standing up like
<v Speaker 1>something's watching you. Maybe it's just because it's big woods,
<v Speaker 1>but there's definitely a feeling out there. And like I said,
<v Speaker 1>a lot of people have made reports from that area
<v Speaker 1>in the past, and yeah, if I researched there, I
<v Speaker 1>wouldn't even know where to begin. It's huge, huge woods,
<v Speaker 1>and you could easily get lost.
<v Speaker 2>Right right. It's well, I have been lost, but not
<v Speaker 2>to the extent of taking more than like half a day.
<v Speaker 2>I remember getting on a trail and I thought it
<v Speaker 2>was going somewhere else and really got turned around. Didn't
<v Speaker 2>take long to get that way either, and it took
<v Speaker 2>a lot longer to find my way out. But I
<v Speaker 2>told you about the big tree that was laying down
<v Speaker 2>where the eerie feeling was. It just happened to think
<v Speaker 2>there was a cave up the ridge from that thing.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know if Bigfoot lives in, you know, in
<v Speaker 2>a cave or or can stay in a cave or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>but all of that really bothered me in that it
<v Speaker 2>all fit together to be just a really spooky experience.

<v Speaker 1>in the past from Van Bura, and the area that
<v Speaker 1>he was hunting at was by big Cave or Big Springs,
<v Speaker 1>and he said there was a cave up on the
<v Speaker 1>hill and like these food plots, maybe it's the same area.

<v Speaker 1>Yeah, yeah, it's very possible. All right, Raandy, Okay, man, no, no,

<v Speaker 2>the smell either of an anything it was. You know,
<v Speaker 2>if if I smelled anything like rotting flesh, I usually
<v Speaker 2>found the carcass and it would be a deer or
