TLFX Testimonials: Marshall

Happy New Years, Solar System. We're very proud to reach ten years of
the Lapsed Fan podcast here in twenty twenty four, and we couldn't be more
excited for the bevy of celebratory occasions that will be bringing you in the next
twelve calendar months. Of course, the Lapsed Funk will continue strong till the
end, till completion, as you've come to expect from your co chairs here
in the beginning of twenty twenty four, and much more exciting things to come
on the other side, not the least of which are your testimonials, Because
what we'll be doing throughout twenty twenty four is sharing audio snippets sent to us
by you members of the Solar System, expressing why the cast is going so
strong after ten years, Explaining to people who might not get it, or
who more likely pretend not to get it, why TLF is that fucking cast,
And so we're proud to kick that off here at the top of the
year with Marshall here in just a moment, but a couple of reminders.
First of all, do know that International LATS Day LATAs, which of course
stands for Lapsed Archive Transcription Service, is coming up fast and furious here on
January twentieth, and on that date, members of the Solar System will be
able to take to Twitter, Reddit, and many other forums, all of
which will be specified and delineated on our x slash Twitter page of the Lapsed
Van, where you'll be able to query some of the hardest core members of
the Solar System who know how to search a deep transcription archive of every word
we've ever said, essentially to find that moment that's stuck in your mind,
that brain worm that's stuck with you over the years and years of podcasting that
we've done. They'll be able to isolate that sound and resurface it as part
of just the general mood of celebration that we expect throughout the course of twenty
twenty four. So do circle it on your calendar. That'll be Saturday,
January twentieth and on x, on Reddit, on Discord, and on other
platforms that we can find a way to wrangle. These folks are going to
be at their keyboards fingertips ready to find any moment that you remember that you
want to hear again but just can't remember what episode, what time code,
all of that, and it's part of a wi effort to create some really
serious fan driven pieces of appreciation and really archival resources that will serve us well
for the next ten years as a full on testament to the unparalleled passion of
the TLF podcast fan base. So again, that's International Lapse Day coming up
on January twentieth, and keep it locked to our x account as well as
of course the podcast for more details as we get closer. We're also going
to be announcing quite soon that we've actually gone ahead and did what we said
we were going to do a couple of years ago. That is to say,
put the names aside of everybody who bid on a TLF Hoppers spot but
for whatever reason didn't come in at the highest bid, but therefore did still
you know, express fealty to the cast, did express enthusiasm for the cast,
but just at that particular moment, didn't have deep enough pockets to get
into the Hopper's winner circle as we promised we'd do a couple of years ago.
We've taken the names of everybody who's bid on a Hopper spot and put
their name in a big old random generator and pick somebody out. And the
folks who bid more than once unsuccessfully. Let's say twice, we're put in
twice, increasing their chances, and as we relaunch the Hopper at some point
in twenty twenty four, we intend to continue doing just the same thing.
Of course, the person who is selected gets the opportunity for free to select
a show of their choosing and come on and Hopper style and be interviewed by
the co chairman and be put on the digital shelf, which you know,
if the iron clause any indication, the term shelf life is really taking on
a whole new meeting and a whole new dimension than we ever expected. So
do capitalize on the opportunity if it comes your way, to bet on the
Hopper, even if you don't think you're going to win, because you may
be the next in line. We're happy to announce that quite soon on the
other side of the lapsed funk, that the person who has been selected already
knows who he is. So we're excited about that, and excited about the
return of the Hopper in twenty twenty four, and really so much more.
But without much further ado, let us get to this piece of sound.

in the cast when we said send in your audio snippets, let us know
why TLF is that fucking cast. Frankly, if you had to explain to
not just us, but a stranger why we're going on ten years, because
nobody gets it. You meet people in your life, you're ashamed to say
that you pledged to us on Patreon, or that you listen to us for
whatever Spotify rap told you two hundred and seventy five years, whatever the total
was, you're ashamed. But if you could, if you were given the
chance, if you were given an honest sort of opportunity to explain why you
do this something that is a good faith listener, tell me why? Tell
us? Why tell us? Why tell the person that doesn't understand what we've
been doing for ten years here to win your loyalty, what it is that
we get at and what are those moments that you remember most fondly, Marshall
here to kick us off in twenty twenty four, does I think a fantastic
job in explaining of what those little moments are along the way over these ten
years, where it's like, you know what the cast is in my corner,
and that's not something I can say for really anything else of its type
in my life. So really forward to sharing this first piece of tlf X

Australia. Congratulations. In ten years, I have been the biggest fan of
your guys for probably maybe eight or nine of those years. You are the
only podcast I listened to. You're the only podcast that deserves money. Thank
you for everything you've done for my wrestling fandom, for my life. You've
been by my side all the way. You've lasted longer than any job I've
had and any relationship I've had too. You've been that second step of footsteps
in the sand, no matter what I've gone through, and I appreciate it,
and he's the ten more glorious years. I do want to share one
personal memory. I was lucky enough going to go to the WrestleMania in tween
nineteen, and the highlight of that trip certainly wasn't WrestleMania itself, because Ronda
Rowsey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair went on finished after midnight and I
was stuck in the pouring rain with my girlfriend at the time till three am
before I had to take a shitty train back to shitty New Jersey just to
get back to just to then to get back to Manhattan on another train.
It was horrific. My highlight of my trip was going on the tour of
Batison Square Garden with the last Solar System and Jack and JP and whoever the
coworker was. He was trying to steal JP's he brother. It was tremendous
fun. I will say, in hindsight, it's probably the reason myself and
my partner are together anymore, having the dragon I heard this trip, but
honestly a moment I'll never forget. Here's to ten more glorious years. Here's
to here's more, he's more teenage teenage journeys, moreaw a journeys. You
feed me my vegetables, you give me what I need. You rail ravage,
gape, fuck my bleeding asshole until I can't take no more, and
then you keep fucking and ravaging my asshole because I never wanted to end jack
a JP honestly love you guys. You're the absolute best. You got a
credit to your industry. Let's keep going ten more years. Praise me to
