I got like. 00:01:51 Speaker 2: Mixed emotions across the board when it comes to sports. 00:01:53 Speaker 1: You got me feeling mixed emotions. 00:01:54 Speaker 2: I I kind of come into work today and I'm all excited. I packed myself a little launch, I'll sandwich a little bag of chick hips. My wife has a few blind spots. My wife is fantastic. 00:02:04 Speaker 1: Her choice of husbands. 00:02:07 Speaker 2: I couldn't ask her more. With my wife, she really is like, but you're about to incredible mom. 00:02:12 Speaker 1: My wife is sure you want to pick this battle? 00:02:15 Speaker 2: They always say choose your battles wisely, right, Usually this is one you want to go to national radio with because I don't pick battles. I'm a kind man. I never argue with my wife. She's the best thing that happened to kind. You want to punch in the face, am I right? 00:02:26 Speaker 1: Sam? 00:02:26 Speaker 3: So? 00:02:28 Speaker 2: I can't understand how my wife has no ability to pick up produce. She packed me up plump, and she's like, I don't know how to pick out fruit and it drives me insane. How are we going to start with the Green Bay packers? Are you sure you want to talk about this? I'm just kidding, like hard plump. That's like, well, can you share? I know how Rich's stupid cave so works, right, So can you share your patented fail free theory of how to pick produce? 00:02:59 Speaker 1: Please? If spot he has a no fail. 00:03:04 Speaker 2: Theory, I have my ears are I don't know where Rich is going he wants to share it with the nation. 00:03:09 Speaker 1: I think we're wasting your time. No, I don't. 00:03:11 Speaker 2: I hope I'm allowed to share this with the nation. No fail, all right, so no fam. I told my wife this, and she actually said, baby, you know what, that's actually a pretty good analogy. 00:03:22 Speaker 1: I'll back you up. 00:03:23 Speaker 2: That's like it still two, like, yeah, this is like a baseball, it's a baseball plumb. 00:03:28 Speaker 1: I'm like, babe, take a bite into them. I have something to do with an ig model. 00:03:33 Speaker 2: So I said to my wife, I said, babe, you do everything perfect. You're the best wife. You're the best mom. I'm blessed and couldn't have made a better choice. 00:03:42 Speaker 1: You may be the best mom. 00:03:44 Speaker 2: I bought my mom a number one mom, a little statue for ask ye third grad at the fair. I bought it at the Mother's Day boutique. I said, when you pick out plums and pears and any type of fruit, especially like a plumber, a peach, feel it and compare. 00:04:02 Speaker 1: It to a fake boob. 00:04:03 Speaker 2: Okay, no, no, no, he's onto something. So you're talking about stone fruit here? Yeah, thank you, Sam with the pits in it? 00:04:10 Speaker 1: Yeah, I said, stone fruit. 00:04:12 Speaker 2: If you squeeze the outside and it's rock hard, like a girl that got a bad boob job, that is not ripe. Now, if you're if you squeeze it and your thumb would break the skin of the fruit, give the fruit off. That means that means it's like an old saga that you don't want to eat it. Oh, that's a perfect one. A good, A good plum or is what did Sam call them? I love the stone fruit, A stone fruit, stone fruit. Wasn't that the band you were in in the nineties? Shut up stone sour fruit? So I said, A good, a good stone tambourine for them. 00:04:51 Speaker 1: Everyone, we're stone fruit. But you know what you're onto? Something rich? 00:04:57 Speaker 2: I get so before we get into the NFL, just a typical dumb rich analogy here. If you're trying to pick out good fruit, it's supposed to have the firmness, yet the squishiness of a perfect fake boom. 00:05:12 Speaker 4: I have a question, when did she buy this fruit? Was this yesterday? 00:05:17 Speaker 1: Being immediate? 00:05:19 Speaker 4: Why would a supermarket carry stuff that's going to be like too ripe a day later? So the only thing we really want ripe are avocados. 00:05:25 Speaker 2: My wife, my wife has those are always at the front. 00:05:28 Speaker 1: Has brought home hard avocados. 00:05:30 Speaker 2: They're like fake. 00:05:31 Speaker 1: Boom, babe, that are too hard. 00:05:32 Speaker 5: The trick is you get a couple that are ready to eat now and then the rest are for the rest of the week. 00:05:38 Speaker 2: Everyone was like this up by the way to tie it into sports, It's like the dude that came to the open court and his basketball was was too full of air and that we sound, you know, to sound I'm talking about for that extra hard Foods ball. It's like, you gotta have a little give, not Tom Brady sort of give. 00:05:57 Speaker 1: We got to have a little ball. 00:06:00 Speaker 5: Was like a little lopsided when it had too much air in it had like an egg shaped to it. 00:06:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's. 00:06:07 Speaker 2: A plum just not there done. 00:06:08 Speaker 1: Those are plums are underrated. 00:06:10 Speaker 4: They're they're juicy under They got the crunchy skin stone fruit. 00:06:15 Speaker 1: Sam, thank you, professor Plumb. 00:06:16 Speaker 2: Yeah, well Rich, maybe maybe i'm just, you know, trying to talk about anything except Nick Bosa's acl or maybe I'm trying to talk about anything other than the Mets on the outside looking in of the playoff hunt. Now, it was a miserable weekend for my teams, the Niners. One, you know, you won three and oh but you lose Nick Bosa. So did you win and you barely won barely one. Yeah, yeah, and I had my notes up until the Bosa news. Me and the forty nine ers barely winning, but they're still find in a way to win that winning teams. Yeah, that's a good sign. And then bam, the bad news about Bosa being out for the season. Maybe maybe someone steps up, I mean stepping up to the level of a Nick Bosa. Maybe not, but there should be a couple of good tests. And Niners are playing the Jags this week, which maybe could be a win, maybe their four to oh, and their first real test is against the Rams, which would be the following Thursday night football. And then after that you get a few players back, including George Kittle, so we shall see. 00:07:11 Speaker 1: Exactly all teams experience injuries. That's just the big ones. 00:07:14 Speaker 2: You want to get into it, things that made you go Hm. Week three of the NFL. Sam hit it. 00:07:22 Speaker 1: He's screaming. That's not a good sign. 00:07:24 Speaker 2: Sam, Oh, that's a different that's wrong. 00:07:31 Speaker 4: I take you know why he's right here entertaining. I wasn't ready for that. I really I knew it was coming, but I wasn't ready. Here we go fantasizing about plumps. I have stone fruit here. 00:07:39 Speaker 2: We go, things that make you go, things that make your goal. 00:07:46 Speaker 1: Could you know. 00:07:47 Speaker 2: I also take it as a compliment when Sam gets flustered, that means I feel like he's so happily engaged in the conversation. We engage, he forgets, he forgets, he's squeezing juicy plumps, just trying to trying to find that right firmness, you know, that right level of perfect and he was so engaged at Yeah, he lost track. So it's all good, Sam, I'm with you. Let's welcome. I always Sam, Let's welcome. Danny g super producing on the phone. He produces our best of the week. He produces. He's a producer, by the way, days removed from jumping through tables in Buffalo. 00:08:17 Speaker 1: Dan Meyer's in. 00:08:18 Speaker 2: The house, guys, it's going to be back. It's great to see you man. Thanks for chiming in on Friday, bringing the fun to us here on the show. Spotty's on the videos. We're all here on Fox Sports Radio eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox and Now we Include you Week three. Things that made you Go Any observation that you made in the world of sports and entertainment, primarily on football eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, right before we get out into football, which you'll be ninety percent of our show today. Can I just vent about fundamental baseball for you know? You could even set a one minute timer? 00:08:50 Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh sure, Sam, Sam, you could, said a woman. 00:08:54 Speaker 2: I really just want to vent about like regular minutes or uber minutes. 00:08:57 Speaker 1: All right, I have a time already, Should I do it? Hit a one minute timer? 00:09:01 Speaker 3: All right? 00:09:02 Speaker 2: So the Mets are losing three nothing on Saturday, right yeah. They tie the game up in the knife one out, okay, Nimo strikes out. Can't put the ball play. 00:09:11 Speaker 1: If he Nimo, ain't him? Oh yo, you hate you? 00:09:13 Speaker 2: Put the ball in play. Mets win on a sack fly and strikes out. Can't put the ball play bottom of the tenth runner on second to get the free runner start hit batter Francisco Alvarez doesn't bump them over to second and third win. The game is tied three to three because quote, he's not a good bunter. 00:09:31 Speaker 1: Get out of my face with that. 00:09:33 Speaker 2: I can't comprehend how in big league baseball a guy can't quote be a good bunter. 00:09:38 Speaker 1: So he grounds into a double play. 00:09:40 Speaker 2: The game goes into the eleventh, Mets lose, and now they are tied with the Reds. They're losing the tie breaker if that would be the case. So the reality is right now, the Mets are not your third wildcard. If Cincinnati and the Mets play each other equally for the final six, Mets are out. And I hate every single thing about it. All right, yeah, now we yeah conquered plums and fake boobs. We've conquered the Mets stinking like Abe Lincoln. Now we got to get into the biggest story I think of the weekend or shocker I should say shocker of the weekend. Everyone's super Bowl bound. Green Bay Packers lose to the Browns. That made me say hmm immediately. Now, let me preface my weekend real quick, Rich. I was at the Dodgers game on Sunday. Now because I like the Dodgers, I hope they lose. I'm a Yankees fan. But my daughter respectfully Danny g But my daughter was cheering on the field. I was so pumped about that her high school got the cheer on Dodger Stadium field. 00:10:40 Speaker 1: On the grass. I was like, that's so cool. 00:10:42 Speaker 2: So I was at the game trying to watch the game, but also keeping one eye on the NFL, and I'm looking at I'm like, the Packers lost to the Browns. The Browns arguably the weakest team they beat the Packers. The Packers couldn't score a single point in the fourth quarter and they up thirteen points to lose in the fourth quarter. That made me say, hmm, it makes me say, what's up with their offense? What's up with the Green Bay Packers offense where they can't score in the fourth quarter against the Browns. 00:11:12 Speaker 1: I don't know. 00:11:12 Speaker 2: To watch that game might've been a different story than just seeing the box score. 00:11:16 Speaker 1: You can't say super Bowl bound and you can't beat the Browns. I'm sorry. 00:11:20 Speaker 2: Everyone has their trip ups. It was a road game, and listen, it's why I lost my bill shock. It's why I lost my big bet of the week. I remember, I just had the Packers needing to win. We did a teaser bet. I do love seeing Joe Flanco's excitement, you know, still playing for something that's sort of their super Bowl. To win in that way, I mean, that was a nice win. It was a trash game that the Packers should have easily won on a almost a chip shot. Last second field goal, it's blocked some odd quick momentum goes the Browns way, and I think the Packers leave Cleveland like baffled and stunned. I don't know if you felt the same way, dB. I know you're always keeping track of all the game. That game was weird all along. The Packers didn't do enough to put them away, and they like Cleveland hang around and then just weird things happened. 00:12:06 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:12:07 Speaker 6: I know that green Bay fans are smarting over the loss because you're like, how do you lose to Cleveland? But really, the game, as you kind of lay out, wasn't much of a game where it shouldn't have been a game for as long as it was. So for Cleveland to score those thirteen unanswered in the final three to thirteen or whatever it was, you would have thought that green Bay would have been up twenty to nothing or seventeen or nothing. 00:12:27 Speaker 2: So that feeling you get sometimes you ever realize when a game, dB is like thirteen six at halftime and you're like that one team with thirteen they should be winning by three touchdowns and they're only a touchdown up. That doesn't feel right, but it ties into what we were saying before about your forty nine ers. Maybe they're not the best team, but they're finding ways to win. The Buccaneers finding ways to win, right was let that one slip away or a super Bowl bound team doesn't lose like that through the Browns, they still find a way to win. So I'm not saying it's over for them, but I'm saying they need to make adjustments. 00:13:00 Speaker 6: Green Bay had fourteen penalties yesterday. Not that the Browns were perfect by any means, but Cleveland's got a really good defense. Offensively, they just haven't had things working. But you can't allow that team to stick around and think they have a chance. So putting up ten points is ultimately what cost green Bay in that scenario, because twenty would have done. 00:13:20 Speaker 1: It for you. In Cleveland, they couldn't do it. 00:13:22 Speaker 2: Man, Hey, just so many great storylines unfolding in the NFL, and that to me had a lot of people knocked out of survivor pools around the around the country. I caly imagine if people hadn't used the Packers yet and they're in some type of survival suicide pool or something that's that was probably a top pick. 00:13:41 Speaker 6: It was one of the top five picks. Seahawks had a lot because they were a home against the Saints. 00:13:45 Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what, I'm glad you brought them up, dB, because they're second on my list. Seahawks dominated the Saints right, forty four to thirteen. Rich you're forty nine. 00:13:53 Speaker 1: Er three by the way. 00:13:53 Speaker 2: That game, by the way, Dan Buyer, I know you probably watch it all just to bask in the glory. 00:13:58 Speaker 1: But that game was over in like five minutes. I looked up in between nothing in the first quarter. In between the. 00:14:04 Speaker 2: Early and late games, I like was making food. We had some people over. I went to the kitchen just to put out some new chips and everything. I went back in the living room, like twenty one nothing like that. Wasn't even a game. People over must be nice. But I didn't get invited. You not even a phone call. And I didn't hear I get I get like annoying phone calls, no invites. 00:14:22 Speaker 1: He didn't even call me halfway through like he did with the fight. Yeah, I know you guys. Are you guys are work friends, that's right. 00:14:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, you didn't invite Dan Bayer to boxing night, so I said, I'm not inviting Yeah. 00:14:32 Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you. Yeah, right, you know what. But here's what I was gonna say. 00:14:38 Speaker 2: I was gonna give Danny's uh Dan Bayer Seahawks and props saying they might be the best team in the division. Now that Boasa is out, I think it's safe to say in the NFC West, the Seahawks the way they won this weekend might be tops over your forty nine ers moving forward Seahawks two one. Listen, forty nine erstione defeated, But moving forward, it's a little tougher take away, Nick Bosa, your things look better for other teams in the NFC West. 00:15:01 Speaker 6: And I'll say this not to be that guy, but if it's not for that block kick at the end of Philadelphia, I think we are raving about the Rams today going to Philadelphia and winning that football game. So when you talk about that division, and I know you're gonna get to that at some point, it's just it's a loaded division and it's a short week. Seahawks and Cardinals play on Thursday night in an NFC West match. 00:15:20 Speaker 1: I think I think it is a better division than we think. 00:15:23 Speaker 2: And Dan Bayer, you nailed it because as an NFC West fan, you know, with all due respect to our friends that are Rams fans. I very rarely root for anything Philly, but at the end there I'm like, come on, win this game, give us, give us a give us an L for the Rams, you know, would help the Seahawks and Niners. 00:15:43 Speaker 1: And yeah, that was so sweet. I'll be honest. 00:15:45 Speaker 5: I also think if we look at the AFC West today, we would be saying, look at that Broncos defense. dB might have been onto something picking the Broncos to win the AFC West. If they had hung on to beat the Chargers, we would have been say, man, that defense was even even able to hang on against Herbert. But those couple of the field goals in the fourth quarter won it for the Chargers. 00:16:05 Speaker 2: The same way the forty nine ers. And I'll say this the same way the forty nine ers. They're my team, and I'll be a man enough to admit they lucked out on that catching the end zone against Dan Byer Seahawks, and yesterday they just found the way to win when they were not playing great with Mac Jones right, So the forty nine Ers could very well be one and two. They're three to oh, and the Broncos are one and two. And could very well be three to oh no penalty against Indy last week, and if they hold on to beat the Chargers, the Broncos are three and oh. We're raving about bow Nicks and Chun Payton and that they're one and two. They're tied with the Chiefs, and you would, in your mind feel like the Chiefs have been awful. 00:16:42 Speaker 1: Well. Props to Herbert. He's playing big well. 00:16:44 Speaker 2: Madison beer got him dressing better before the game, got him inspired with that booty. I guess something. I mean, he's looking like a champion. 00:16:50 Speaker 6: That pass and catch by he and Keenan Allen to tie it up, I mean, my goodness. 00:16:55 Speaker 2: And dB pointed out something else a common theme missed field goals over the weekend. 00:17:00 Speaker 1: You mentioned that before. 00:17:00 Speaker 2: There's a lot of missfield goals, wockfield goals, locked field goals, and that was a big part of the weekend. It made us go, hmmm, do we downplay as fans how important field goal kicker trajectory is? Because there were a couple of people that pointed out during the games and analysis and post game, like, yo, we noticed that he had a low trajectory and we have a better chance, like we assume the guy just kicks it. I'm not saying we the casual fans like you just kicked the field goal if. 00:17:28 Speaker 5: You don't get that ball up well, because a lot of them have been working on the line drive kicks for the new kickoff, so seems to be affecting some of them on their field goal trip. 00:17:37 Speaker 4: No longer the kick you kind of have to shoot it, start it low, so you can't have the power to go in this end. 00:17:41 Speaker 2: So you're seeing some guys that it's not even dan dan Byer. It's not even like they're jumping up high. They're just putting a big ass paw up there and they're they're hitting it. 00:17:49 Speaker 6: And I look like an idiot because you referenced the Broncos penalty against the Colts in Week two, and for some that don't remember, the Colts missed a sixty yard field goal, but they got a fifteen yard penalty because the leverage penalty. And I said to Kerry Rhoades that Sunday afternoon, why are you trying to block a sixty yarder? Like it's tough enough to make, just it's gonna be a make or miss. But yesterday completely proved me wrong with the various blocks that we had, the long kicks that were blocked. So that is why you may get a leverage penalty because you are trying to block them. 00:18:22 Speaker 2: Can I could I point something out that only I know. I know we're on in some East Coast New York surrounding markets, but for all our friends that are Mets and Jets fans, which is a sad existence. 00:18:34 Speaker 1: Did you see the. 00:18:34 Speaker 2: Meme going around how the Bucks game winning field goal and the Mets lost to the Nationals happened like simultaneously, But we're previously like the Jets are winning and the Mets that had like men on base and then all within a second, Mets and Jets both pooped the bed. 00:18:53 Speaker 1: Now it's a grumpy, crumpy grumpy. 00:18:56 Speaker 2: Now we're gonna get to all your feedback, but I'll kick it off with a tweety saw sort of summed up everything I wrote down as far as things that made you go all these mental notes. I made poppy bender one poppy bender one on social media at Covino and Rich says NFL recap of things that made me go, hmm, it was the Sunday of suck. The Falcons suck after smacking the Vikes. Saints are horror show of suck. No Burrow, Bengals suck, Titans are a suckfest. Raiders can't suck enough, Cowboys comically suck. Giants the suckiest of suck that ever sucked. God help us. There's a lot of suck. So there's a lot of teams that might be ass based on this weekend too. Bengals might be asked without Burrow. That was that was a daunting game for the Bengals because you know, you assume like you could sort of hold your and you may not win, but you could hold your own without Burrow. 00:19:45 Speaker 1: But that looked like oh no. 00:19:47 Speaker 2: So yeah, there was a lot of like, oh wait, yeah, a lot of sucks over the weekend. 00:19:51 Speaker 1: Oh no. 00:19:54 Speaker 2: And you know with every suck, right, there's got to be a team that stepped up, like, yeah, Dallas sucks. Hey, the Bears played nice. Caleb Williams maybe better than people give him credit for. I don't think people think he stinks. I think Caleb Williams and good games, not a lot to show for it until this this past weekend. 00:20:13 Speaker 1: You know, we have the patients. 00:20:16 Speaker 2: Of not even know the patients of a gen z er that wants everything now Amazon. Now of my dad who walks into a barber shop and expects a haircut as soon as he sits there. If there's one person ahead of your dad and he's like, I'm leaving, I'm like, Dad, I thought you're going to get a haircut. Hey, waiting around for what? When Kamino's dad goes to ihe you're supposed to wait. When Kavino's dad goes to I Hoop and they go yeah, ten to fifteen minutes, he's like, I got Nope. My dad comes back with long hair. I'm like Dad, He's like, they do eat people there. 00:20:45 Speaker 1: I ain't waiting around. 00:20:47 Speaker 2: So we have such little patients that, you know, we finally saw perhaps Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams and what they could do together once they start gelling. It's only week three and the Bears are still a work in progress, and I think that was sort of a cool I thought that was a that was the biggest winner in my book, and they were. There's some winners of Week three, but I think the biggest winner was the Bears. Hope Bears, the Bears Hope. It was a big one, like there's hope there and over the Cowboys thirty one to fourteen, something to celebrate at least, and Caleb Williams speaking of two hundred and ninety eight yards, four tudies, four tuddies. So your observations, there's no wrong answers. I got a bunch of random ones too, Can I give you one? Just to set up some phone calls? Let's do herd of rumor over the weekend that Adele is a potential halftime show participant. I'll like beat it with that. What are you trying to put us to sleep? Adele? I understand she's a generational talent. Oh my god, I got time for Dell at halftime. Adele is squeakily talented. Come on, Adele is so good. But like if you were to say, yeah, I'm you know, your mom's going to Vegas and wants to see an act or exactly like your your aunt or a girl's bachelorette party, and they want to go light and they'll see first to say no thanks, maybe the first to say she's got a beautiful woice and she's great, but not everyone's cut out for the super Bowl halftime with. 00:22:15 Speaker 5: My old aunt Christina loves Adele that tells you everything you need to know right now, No. 00:22:20 Speaker 1: Way, no how, And I say that respectfully. 00:22:24 Speaker 2: That would be some disappointing No Metallica, no Taylor Swift, no Miley, no Blink, wantity too. 00:22:30 Speaker 1: We're going with Dell Come. She might arguably be the most talented, but wrong setting for that. 00:22:36 Speaker 4: Doesn't have a whole lot of like upbeat tempo. Like there's a couple, but she needs. Cavino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox, We're gonna play last one Standing, giving away some prizes later. But we're talking NFL and anything that made you go hmmm over the weekend. You know what made me go hm when you look at the Cowboys and we said the big winner as far as like wow, good a good moment for Ben Johnson and and Caleb Williams and that team just you know, it went right right. You looked at that game and you said, all right that the Cowboys, you know they're not terrible. So well, the Bears put on a display again said, you know, mid level team, you think, but then you look at the Cowboys and you go, Michael Parsons left, Ceedee Lamb is now injured. This is a sort of stripped down version of that team, like, yeah, you got Dak who you know tries to compete, but that team they lack any type of star power. 00:25:56 Speaker 1: Huh. 00:25:57 Speaker 2: They're heading towards the ass category with the injuries, and on the flip side of they might be asked that they might be awesome. And there's a new Jones in town. That's Indiana Jones, and I got to give him props here because I always thought he was better than what we saw in New York. And there's a whole story about it that we might get to separately. But even Saquon Barkley is saying that there's one dude that he used to play with that he still roots for all the time, and that's Daniel Jones. I'm sorry Indiana Jones, because the Colts with Jones, I mean, he's putting up record breaking numbers forty one to twenty over the Titans. He passed for two hundred twenty eight yards one Tuddy just looking like a totally different guy in a new setting which is inspiring. 00:26:44 Speaker 1: In life. 00:26:45 Speaker 2: Maybe it's just maybe you're not ugly, maybe you're not broke, maybe you don't suck. Maybe you just need to be somewhere else like Indiana Jones three. You know for the Colts, gota give him props. I'm looking at our intro threat on the YouTube chat. Yeah, Fading says didn't show. But how about that Brown's defense. You tell me that defense is an elite. They sort of shut down, you know, the Packers kept them at bay the whole gamete. Well, the Packers were in control that game until the fourth quarter. Just it's not like they were putting up thirty or something, right, No, yeah, I mean first week Packers looked pretty good. For every argument, there's the flip side. So man, the Packers really sucked it up. Or hey, the Browns defense really stepped up, So props to them. All right, Let's get to the phone calls and the feedback again. We're streaming live on YouTube Covino and Rich FSR we do it every day, so we have a live stream going on. Thank you for that. And your phone calls are always fun and important. Let's go to them. Let's say hello, eight seven ninety nine on Fox, Starting Illinois with Baker. 00:27:40 Speaker 1: What's up? Baker? 00:27:41 Speaker 7: Hey, Baker, Hey, you comment on the fake Boobe conversation. Yes, you guys are there's a caveat on the fas. Okay, there's the solo cone and then the saline and the hard ones, and they feel like they're real. 00:28:07 Speaker 2: No, no, no, you got you gotta be you gotta do. You realize he's talking to a guy that has his PhD in fake boobs Rich Davis. Yeah, the saline's the hard ones. The silicone ones are the soft ones. Come on, Baker, get your act together. 00:28:20 Speaker 4: And that would have a nice little Seinfeld reference. 00:28:22 Speaker 1: They're real and they're spectacular. 00:28:25 Speaker 2: My point was we were talking about picking up produces. That's because we're all over the place on the show. No, that's just you, buddy, Start bringing me into it. Sean Sacramento, it's up, Sean. 00:28:37 Speaker 7: My tire Iraq pack. 00:28:38 Speaker 3: Shout out to the ti Iraq Chat. 00:28:42 Speaker 1: What's up? 00:28:43 Speaker 3: Man forget like and subscribe otherwise you know, Iowa, Sam doesn't get his his his his his Christmas bonus unless he gets one hundred likes every time. 00:28:51 Speaker 2: Yeah, I was Sam that people don't know if we don't get if we don't keep improving our YouTube chat numbers, Iowa Sam says that is a holiday fruitcake. No, he doesn't like s equals one hundred pennies from me. 00:29:01 Speaker 1: You're not getting any holiday pitone this year. No exactly. 00:29:05 Speaker 8: There you got heard it. 00:29:06 Speaker 3: We don't get to one hundred lives by the end of the show, everybody loses their dental plan. 00:29:09 Speaker 7: So get on those. 00:29:11 Speaker 1: Appreciate it. It all helps, man in a serious uh, in a serious way. 00:29:15 Speaker 2: Anytime you're watching or leaving a comment or checking out our bonus pod over promise, it all helps. 00:29:20 Speaker 1: What's up man? 00:29:22 Speaker 3: Hey man, you guys are the most interactive show on Fox Sports. But really quick on this subject. Something that made me go, hmmm, how important is kicking in the NFL? Ask the Browns, ask the Eagles, ask the Chargers, No matter you know how much they pay these quarterbacks, it always comes down to kicking. And just really quick, man, just to put a button on the talk about fake versus real, the fad transfer next level, bro, You want to talk about feeling real, closest thing to real as you could get. 00:29:51 Speaker 2: Well, I always said it's usually my holiday analogy. You know, fake Christmas trees are like boobs. If they're really good, you can't tell like that. So anyway, but his point on the kicker, Yo, it sounds obvious, but you're right, the emphasis on all these marquee players. You're paying the Miles Garretts and the Boses and the Micah Parsons and the you know and the quarterbacks forty fifty sixty million dollars. It's a place kicker. So many times Aaron Rodgers is two and one because a guy on his team kicked a sixty yard field goal in week one. You know there's teams, but yesterday little block and then a kick the other way. 00:30:35 Speaker 1: The Packers, right, Simon, yeaht minutes apart from each other. 00:30:38 Speaker 2: Dude, the forty nine ers got rid of their kicker because he was costing them. 00:30:44 Speaker 5: It's let's talk about kickoff returns for a second too. How about your special teams in general? Your boy Deebo Samuel started off that game for the Commanders by running one almost to the house. And the Commander's special teams looked elite, and the Raiders special teams looked like some position coaches needed to be fired. 00:31:04 Speaker 2: And I'll tell you what special teams and kicking, which is part of special teams. That is we always talk about that being the most underrated component of a team. But now with the touchback, if your ball doesn't hit that zone and it goes through the end zone, thirty five yard line is a pretty substantial starting point, don't you think. And I saw a couple of times yesterday watching around the league, there were some kickers that just booted it through the end zone and you're like, wow, they're really quick to want to give the thirty five huh. Now, I was at the Dodgers game rich watching my daughter on the field cheerleading. Like I said, so, I had one eye on the game, one eye on my phone watching all the football scores and the games on the red zone. But I got home in time to watch the end of the later games and the Chiefs Giants, And I know you think the Giants are ass No, that was the stinker of a game. That was like the worst game I watched. There was, you know, because I wanted to enjoy some football camp. Scattaboo got you excited three times. 00:31:59 Speaker 1: No, I mean had a pretty good game. 00:32:01 Speaker 2: Man, we ran I think he had sixty yards rushing had a couple of good plays he had, but he showed a lot of gusta, a lot of gusto, a lot of potential, a lot of heart, like the type of player that Giants fans would really really rally around. And I think he made a real big statement yesterday he did a backflip touchdown And I think what we're getting at here though, is and I believe da Boll said today that he's open to Dart being the starter moving forward. So I think what we're seeing is limited time, shorter leash on Russell Wilson that we may have thought, and maybe some changes soon. 00:32:37 Speaker 3: Right. 00:32:37 Speaker 2: Well, with that said, we're going to take all your feedback, but let's go to dB for an update. If there's anything we're missing, DB's always got it what's up there. 00:32:44 Speaker 6: So I don't know there's going to be a change in New York with the Giants from Russell Wilson to Jackson Dart. Remember they also have Jamis Winston on the roster, so it could be a change. But Brian Dabele was asked today about if they were going to make a change with Wilson. He says they're evaluating everything and working through personnel decisions. See I told you, we'll learn a lot more, probably on Wednesday. It's also on Wednesday, we'll find out more about Commanders quarterback jad And Daniels, who missed their win over the Raiders because of his knee injury. Head coach Dan Quinn says that Daniels remains day today. Forty nine Ers ed rusher Nick Bosa done for the year with a torn ACL and his knee suffered in yesterday's win over the Cardinals. 00:33:20 Speaker 1: This one's in his rightney. 00:33:21 Speaker 6: He actually partially torn the ACL and his rightney in high school and suffered in leftknee ACL tear in twenty twenty. Chargers running back Najie Harris done for the year with a rupture achilles tended, while Cowboys wide out Ceedee Lamb could miss three to four weeks according to ESPN. With that high ankle sprain, he has expected to miss at least Week four against the Green Bay Packers, which is Sunday Night Football. Tonight is Monday Night Football. Week three wraps up with the Lions and Ravens in Baltimore at eight fifteen Eastern time. A couple of college football notes ACC will move to nine conference games by twenty twenty seven, also mandating that each school must play a minimum of ten games against power force schools. Syracuse finedenty five grand by the ACC for faking injuries during their win over Clemson this past Saturday. In college hoops, auburnead coach Bruce Pearl retiring after eleven seasons, yes two final four berths for Pearl. His son, Steven, who was the team's associate head coach, will take over on a full time basis. Bruce Pearl says he is not going to run for the US Senators. There's a vacant seat in the state of Alabama, and Rockets guard Fred Van Vliet suffered a towny cl according to ESPN, putting his entire upcoming season in Jeopardy Guys Back to you, Thank. 00:34:32 Speaker 1: You, Geebe Debe. 00:34:33 Speaker 2: Who's on the outside looking in on our Fox Sports Radio Guillotine Aaron Lewis now Tony. 00:34:39 Speaker 1: I think Bo Benson was one of the squads. 00:34:42 Speaker 6: Figure show, Yeah, Kevin figures, Oh, he's overnights Friday Saturday and Fox Sports Radio. 00:34:48 Speaker 2: Kevin figures looks like he's on the outside looking in, And I believe is Wakanda forever who's at that is Ryan Smith? Ryan right, Yes, our boy Shay's not looking too good either. So, by the way, Dan Byer, I want to thank you because the more I've talked to random buddies, we're shocked how people don't do this Fantasy Guillotine League. It's so much more fun than the week to week matchups. 00:35:10 Speaker 1: It really is. So thank you so much. You're welcome, glad to have you in. 00:35:13 Speaker 2: All right, we got more Cavino and Rich and all of your observations. Of course week three of the NFL, and if you want to talk some baseball, I'm down because I am so abnormally frustrated. I'm going to say two, yeah, I got something to say about the MVP race. People need to stop the nonsense. Stop it, stop it. We got more CNR next right here on Fox Sports Radio. Oh yeah, VIP in full effect. CNR on FSR in full effect, word to your mother's Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. We got DJ Sammy Sam Sammy Sweetheart on the ones and Tues. 00:35:50 Speaker 1: We got super. 00:35:52 Speaker 2: Producer Danny g greatest voice in radio on the phones eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox and of course be the greatest all of the land getting ready to beat us again in last one standing? 00:36:03 Speaker 1: Or will he will find out? Maybe you'll win your. 00:36:06 Speaker 2: Chance to win in a few minutes, give one away prizes on this Monday Fun Day, Super Fun Time with CNR at eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, I have a non related football observation Things that made you go home rich? Before we wrap up the phone calls, how about your boy Jacobe Young of the Nationals with those circus catches. 00:36:25 Speaker 1: I don't want to hear about it. 00:36:26 Speaker 2: Dude, that was in the Mets season could be summed up in game tying home run robbed No, but just from the bottom of the ninth inning. Not only did he have that one circus catch office, yeah, he then caught one that it was arguably going to be a home runs. Arguably it was a home I mean his glove was over the fence, but it was still an insane catch in insane in the member that could have very well been the play of the day. But you know what, NFL is king, and it's time for our tirec play of the day. The biggest upset I would say so far in this NFL season, Andre Schmidt for the win from fifty five yards out, two seconds beats is back, kick is up and the kick. 00:37:09 Speaker 7: Is right down. 00:37:13 Speaker 5: It's right. 00:37:14 Speaker 2: There's the fuck Free base Bro Little hell Bays Time, Green Bays copy the Green Bay Packers, And you gotta feel You gotta feel bad for the Packers a little bit, but not really. You gotta feel good for Smid the kicker. Remember he had a really rough week one and that there was fans calling for his job, but get a new kicker. They stuck with him and he came through big time. 00:37:37 Speaker 1: Yesterday. You know they were singing fun times. 00:37:39 Speaker 2: And Cleveland again, Cleaveland props again to them over the Packers's courtesy of Browns Radio Network, our tire rack play of the day. For over forty years, tyrak has been helping customers find the right tires for how, what and where they drive. Ship fast and free back by Free Road has a protection with convenient installation options like mobile tire installation, tire rackt we tire buying should be But arguably Jacobe Young in the world of baseball had some of the greatest plays of the weekend. No gott to look him up if you somehow missed him. The most valuable the most important one was obviously his jumping over the fence and robbing Francisco Alvarez of a game tying home run, which may have honestly killed. 00:38:21 Speaker 1: Him that season. 00:38:21 Speaker 2: But that hacky sack one where yeah, of his love, he kicked it up to himself like I've never seen. That would have been if this was the eighties and nineties, it would have been on Warner Wolfe's Plays of the Week. It would have been on George Michael Sportsman, that would have been on Mel Allen's ricebaw Funny sat Up, no doubt. So hey, let's take your phone calls, your observations week three of the NFL. We'll go to Tony in Oregon. What's uptown eight Dony? 00:38:47 Speaker 8: Hey, but hey, I do have a take on the fake versus reel. Okay, first, my sports take. I think one of you said the Bears were the big winner of the weekend, and I agree, But I also think that a bigger winner because I think as a Bears fan, mean about a million other Bears fans were about ready to cancel the second half of our NFL ticket description before the second half of the invoice and started in October had they lost that game, So I think maybe YouTube was a big winner of the weekend. 00:39:18 Speaker 2: You know what, I think you said the Bears. They're one and two now, but you know who could be one and two after tonight the Lions and the Packers lost yesterday in dramatic fashion. So if anything, the Bears were the big winners because the Bears not only one, the Packers lost and tonight the Lions have to play the Ravens. So you're looking at a division that could be one game, Danny. You got a couple of two and one team, a couple one and two teams. 00:39:43 Speaker 1: It's not it's for early in the season. This is an important Monday night football. 00:39:47 Speaker 2: If you were the Bears and you were one and two and you were staring at the Lions and the Packers both at three and oh, that's a way different season. You know they're both two and one, it could be one and two. What's your second thoughts on? 00:40:00 Speaker 8: Oh, I always said if I could touch and feel, then they're real. 00:40:05 Speaker 2: Yeah, big big Mike who runs his place, I believe once said that those are his words of words and we learned things here. 00:40:10 Speaker 1: Thank you, Ron and in the Cha Cha Rochester, whatsever on Hey Ron. 00:40:14 Speaker 7: Hey guys, proud Syracuse fan. 00:40:17 Speaker 6: When I great city young kid, I met this girl. 00:40:20 Speaker 3: It happened to be from Miami visiting New York City. 00:40:23 Speaker 6: Yes, something back to hotel to see. 00:40:24 Speaker 7: A real job. Yeah, it was really hot and pretty ninetydel as chaired No Life and I'm like, we had we pulled around. 00:40:31 Speaker 8: I'm like, wow, these are unbelievable, so hard so and like a year later, I'm like, uh. 00:40:36 Speaker 3: They were fake. 00:40:37 Speaker 8: The whole year to figure out that they were fake, and you know, and you were youngster back then. 00:40:44 Speaker 2: Or they weren't right, I don't know. I'm confused by the Maybe they were just like the Plums. I yeah, brought to work. Yeah, I had to hear the Plum story to understand. But thank you guys, and catch the podcast. Catch the podcast. That story makes no sense without the Plum story. At the beginning of the show, Hey tonight, before we move along for a second, from the NFL Tonight Lions Ravene, you want to talk about that next for a second, because those are two teams that one is going to start out one and two and we'll let you know who's going to win tonight next
