<v Speaker 1>of fact, where those two big foot hunters died. That's
<v Speaker 1>only about thirty miles from my house. And I know
<v Speaker 1>right where they're at. And I even went down there
<v Speaker 1>a couple of days later and looked at the area
<v Speaker 1>and stuff, and that whole thing didn't even make any sense.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, what they did, nobody would have done in
<v Speaker 1>their right mind. These guys just didn't die. Two people
<v Speaker 1>don't die together from hypothermia. I mean, even the Indians
<v Speaker 1>growing up, the Yakama Indians, they told us man as boys,
<v Speaker 1>you stay out of there. Yeah, there's one area in there.
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to tell you the area because I
<v Speaker 1>don't want people going in there. You know, they just
<v Speaker 1>need to stay out of there. They won't even go
<v Speaker 1>in there because they call that some Scuokam valley in there. Now,
<v Speaker 1>I've met so many people here in my community that
<v Speaker 1>come up and said, hey, you're a bigfoot researcher. Huh,
<v Speaker 1>And I said no, I'm not. And they're like, well,
<v Speaker 1>you got to look for bigfoot. I said, yeah. I
<v Speaker 1>go out with the groups. I fly drones, I go
<v Speaker 1>out on walks, I help them cast prints, whatever, they need.
<v Speaker 1>I just go out and help. I'm not a researcher.
<v Speaker 1>I'm just a helper, you know. I just kind of
<v Speaker 1>go along for security and you know, just make sure
<v Speaker 1>everybody's safe, and you know, just do what I can.
<v Speaker 1>Matter of fact, there's a story I wanted to tell you.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't know this until Thanksgiving it this year, but
<v Speaker 1>I have a cousin who lives in Hood River, Oregon,
<v Speaker 1>just north of Mount Hood, and I went over there
<v Speaker 1>and come to find out, his wife and her mother
<v Speaker 1>had a class a sighting up behind Hood River on
<v Speaker 1>or Mount Hood. They were delivering papers late at night,
<v Speaker 1>and they said they just put the paper in the
<v Speaker 1>mailbox and shut it, and one of them walked out
<v Speaker 1>of the road, out of the trees, up onto the road, stopped,
<v Speaker 1>looked at him, and continued across the road and went
<v Speaker 1>up the hill into the trees and was gone. And
<v Speaker 1>her and her mom told me the same story right
<v Speaker 1>there on the spot, and I was like, oh, and
<v Speaker 1>they said, we never delivered papers at night again in there.
<v Speaker 1>That scared him pretty bad.
<v Speaker 2>I've already started the conversation with Henry. Henry, thanks for
<v Speaker 2>joining me on Bigfoot Crossroads. I just want to keep
<v Speaker 2>the conversation going, and let me start off with this question,
<v Speaker 2>just based off what you just said, What do you
<v Speaker 2>think the deal is with that, with like Bigfoot doing
<v Speaker 2>things like that, whenever they crossroads in front of cars,
<v Speaker 2>or whenever they just walk out like that. Everybody knows
<v Speaker 2>that you spend a tremendous amount of time trying to
<v Speaker 2>find these things and trying to have a sighting. Hundreds,
<v Speaker 2>if not thousands of people have spent countless hours trying
<v Speaker 2>to see one. We know how elusive they are and
<v Speaker 2>how good they are at what they do. But then
<v Speaker 2>you have these situations like this where they just like
<v Speaker 2>act like they don't even care and they just like
<v Speaker 2>walk out in front of a car. What do you
<v Speaker 2>think is going on with that?
<v Speaker 1>I think they're just trying to get from point A
<v Speaker 1>to point B, and they know what cars are, they
<v Speaker 1>know who we are. I think they're comfortable with people.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there was a residential area, so I had
<v Speaker 1>to walk through there, and I just think they're going
<v Speaker 1>from wherever they're going. They they just they just didn't care,
<v Speaker 1>you know. I just come out, looked at them and
<v Speaker 1>crossed the road and went on up the hill.
<v Speaker 2>That's how it always kind of came across to me,
<v Speaker 2>like there's just certain ones that just seem to just
<v Speaker 2>they don't care in certain situations.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, but I think it's the older ones. The older
<v Speaker 1>the older ones that know that you're not there to
<v Speaker 1>hurt them. I think the younger ones are the ones
<v Speaker 1>that are more mischievous and and they get shot at more.
<v Speaker 1>I think they take more chances than the older ones do.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, we have an area right here where I live,

<v Speaker 1>people going in there. You know, they just didn't stay
<v Speaker 1>out of there just but right where these two guys
<v Speaker 1>were out. As soon as soon as I heard that story,
<v Speaker 1>me and everybody that lives here, we were like this bs, No,
<v Speaker 1>these guys just didn't die. Two people don't die together
<v Speaker 1>from hypothermia. I mean, one might go down, but the
<v Speaker 1>other one will go for help, you.
<v Speaker 2>Know, Can we talk about that a little bit?
<v Speaker 1>Sure?
<v Speaker 2>At the time this was back around well Christmas.
<v Speaker 1>Eve, no Christmas Eve this year or last year.
<v Speaker 2>They didn't come home for Christmas, and their families alerted
<v Speaker 2>the authorities and there's, you know, a search for them,
<v Speaker 2>and they found their bodies, and of course it was
<v Speaker 2>all over the news. Bigfoot hunters found dead. What's the
<v Speaker 2>deal man? Was the weather just that terrible?
<v Speaker 1>Like, no, the weather wasn't that bad. No, our weather
<v Speaker 1>here wasn't death defying everybody here says that this is crazy.
<v Speaker 1>This was not. It rained for two weeks straight, so
<v Speaker 1>the creeks and the little river zone did they're kind
<v Speaker 1>of in flood stage at that point. They went up
<v Speaker 1>into this area and they weren't that far off the
<v Speaker 1>main road, and there was another road that turned and
<v Speaker 1>it makes a big loop up in this valley and
<v Speaker 1>it comes back out by the campground. And so they
<v Speaker 1>had pulled off right there. They were paralleling another road
<v Speaker 1>and for some reason they crossed the creek and they
<v Speaker 1>weren't dressed across the creek. I mean, they were not
<v Speaker 1>dressed for winter to start with. So why a fifty
<v Speaker 1>nine year old man and thirty seven year old man
<v Speaker 1>would cross that creek is beyond any of us. We
<v Speaker 1>can't figure out why they did that.
<v Speaker 2>They crossed the creek going away from their vehicle.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, they were moving away from their vehicle. They were
<v Speaker 1>found two miles away from their vehicle and they were
<v Speaker 1>seven hundred feet apart deceased, So that doesn't happen. I
<v Speaker 1>could have crawled to my car for two miles soaking wet,
<v Speaker 1>I would have made it back.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, if it means life or death, absolutely absolutely, I
<v Speaker 2>would have crossed that creek again and made it to
<v Speaker 2>my vehicle wet or not.
<v Speaker 1>I would have just I wouldn't have stopped moving. But
<v Speaker 1>so anyway, once they crossed the creek, they moved further
<v Speaker 1>away that they went through a bunch of blowdown and
<v Speaker 1>dead fall. You had to either go under it or
<v Speaker 1>over it to get through it, and they went through
<v Speaker 1>a bunch of it. So that doesn't make any sense either.
<v Speaker 1>Nobody does that. No, So once they got to the
<v Speaker 1>base of the hill, they moved up the hill. It's
<v Speaker 1>like a little ridge up there. Once they got up
<v Speaker 1>on top of the ridge, they separated for some reason.
<v Speaker 1>They separated. One went north, one went south. So the
<v Speaker 1>one that went south of a friend of mine on
<v Speaker 1>the Star team, recovered that body. He went down the
<v Speaker 1>ridge south a little ways and then he tried to
<v Speaker 1>cut back down to the to the creek. He was
<v Speaker 1>found in extremely brushy area. They actually had to pull
<v Speaker 1>his body back up the hill to get him out
<v Speaker 1>of there. That's how brushy it was. It was that bad. Wow.
<v Speaker 1>The other guy went up the ridge and kind of
<v Speaker 1>crossed down like he was trying to get back to
<v Speaker 1>and he was kind of found in the same way.
<v Speaker 1>So they actually had to get power saws and cut
<v Speaker 1>their way out through all the deadfall because they couldn't
<v Speaker 1>get him out. I mean, this is how tangled up.
<v Speaker 1>It wasn't there. So they actually had to cut a
<v Speaker 1>trail out of there to get him out. And then
<v Speaker 1>another weird thing was is a Coastguard helicopter out of Astory, Oregon,
<v Speaker 1>which is one hundred and twenty miles away, showed up
<v Speaker 1>and they took the bodies out. So I'm not that's
<v Speaker 1>kind of bizarre, but I don't know why they got involved.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, especially out of there. I mean, I would
<v Speaker 2>think there was closer options.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, I mean, we have hospitals at Wsamon the River.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, the guys were deceased. I mean, it's not
<v Speaker 1>like it was like, you know, threatening a situation. But anyway,
<v Speaker 1>the helicopter pulled the bodies out and that's the last
<v Speaker 1>we've ever heard of anything. So and I kept saying
<v Speaker 1>that to the cause you're never going to hear nothing
<v Speaker 1>about this. So I don't know. These two guys were
<v Speaker 1>from Portland, Oregon, and I heard they worked for FedEx.
<v Speaker 1>Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But either way,
<v Speaker 1>this whole thing is just bizarre to where they were at.
<v Speaker 1>They shouldn't been in there to start with.
<v Speaker 2>Well, I mean, like you and I were, you know,
<v Speaker 2>we talked about a little bit about this, you know,
<v Speaker 2>on the phone previously. No reason to cross the creek.
<v Speaker 2>You know, everybody takes the path of least resistance. There's
<v Speaker 2>no reason for him to navigate that dead fall and
<v Speaker 2>then to go uphill, separate from one another and then
<v Speaker 2>loop back around. I mean, the behavior to me, and
<v Speaker 2>I'm just speculating, but the behavior seems like we're missing
<v Speaker 2>a factor in this scenario. There's something else going on.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, there was something major going on to make them
<v Speaker 1>move away from their vehicle like that. Nobody in the
<v Speaker 1>right mind would have done that. Nobody in the right
<v Speaker 1>mind would have crossed that creek because it was, like
<v Speaker 1>I said, it was kind of in floodstage and they
<v Speaker 1>were wet from that point on. Man. So that's that's
<v Speaker 1>kind of where you can kind of see where this
<v Speaker 1>whole thing is going at this point.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and I mean again, dying from the elements like
<v Speaker 2>that seven hundred feet apart. I mean again, that's just
<v Speaker 2>so weird. Man. I understand maybe something happens to one
<v Speaker 2>person and then the other one goes and gets help,
<v Speaker 2>gets back to the road exactly.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what we've all said too. It's like, why
<v Speaker 1>that's not what happens in a situation like this. You
<v Speaker 1>just said it. When one person goes down, the other
<v Speaker 1>person will go for help and come back, and they're
<v Speaker 1>throwly two miles away to cross the creek again. But
<v Speaker 1>you're not going to die if you keep moving. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>So I don't know, it's it's bizarre. It's extremely bizarre
<v Speaker 1>of what happened in there. So, and we did have
<v Speaker 1>a little skiff of snow on the ground, but it
<v Speaker 1>was all slushy stuff. It wasn't yeah, I mean, it
<v Speaker 1>wasn't bad weather. You know. It just doesn't make any
<v Speaker 1>sense what happened in there.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, really weird, especially considering that, you know, the lore
<v Speaker 2>of the area in general and everything like you were
<v Speaker 2>talking about. Yeah, kind of bizarre for sure. So how
<v Speaker 2>old were you the first time you heard about bigfoot?
<v Speaker 1>I was about eight years old.
<v Speaker 2>Wow.
<v Speaker 1>Well, I was kind of coming to that age where
<v Speaker 1>I was able to go out with my grandpa and
<v Speaker 1>my dad. They do a lot of elk cutting and
<v Speaker 1>deer hunting and stuff like that. I was kind of
<v Speaker 1>getting to that age. I got my hunter safety called
<v Speaker 1>it ten. So they about eight years old, they started
<v Speaker 1>taking me out the elk camp and stuff. That was
<v Speaker 1>kind of my first go around with that.
<v Speaker 2>Was it just overhearing stories or did they talk to
<v Speaker 2>you directly about it?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, just over just stories. Yeah, I did, just telling
<v Speaker 1>stories of what happened. And I'll tell you this one story.
<v Speaker 1>I grew up in Carson, Washington, that's in this Communian county.
<v Speaker 1>So this would be about nineteen seventy six seventy five
<v Speaker 1>somewhere there. I was about eight years old or so.
<v Speaker 1>My grandpa he contracted through the Force Service when they
<v Speaker 1>were building trails and putting trails in all over in
<v Speaker 1>Washington State. And then he he had horses and mules
<v Speaker 1>he would haul in as they were building these trails.
<v Speaker 1>He would haul in all the equipment for the Force
<v Speaker 1>Service or whoever was building the trails. And then he
<v Speaker 1>would travel a lot of the trails in the springtime,
<v Speaker 1>just cutting trees out of the way, you know, for
<v Speaker 1>hikers and just clearing trails, you know. And he had
<v Speaker 1>a cabin up on the Lewis River. We used to
<v Speaker 1>take off. Me and Dad would go from Carson and
<v Speaker 1>we'd go up over Paradise Creek and then we'd go
<v Speaker 1>into Swift Creek Reservoir. As soon as we crossed the
<v Speaker 1>river there Lewis River, we would take a rite and
<v Speaker 1>go up the river there. And I'm not sure where
<v Speaker 1>that cabin's at. I've tried and tried to find it
<v Speaker 1>over the years, but I just can't. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>where it's at. I can't find it.
<v Speaker 2>But lost of time.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's kind of I'm not even sure if it's
<v Speaker 1>still there. It should be, but I just don't know
<v Speaker 1>where it's at. I can't find it. But we were
<v Speaker 1>up there and we would spend about ten days, ten
<v Speaker 1>to fourteen days with Grandpa. And this had to been
<v Speaker 1>in August, because I remember coming back, I was home
<v Speaker 1>for about a week and then i'd be back in school,
<v Speaker 1>So this had to been like around the third week
<v Speaker 1>of August or so that we would go up there.
<v Speaker 1>And uh, yeah, well Grandpa he had that cabin up there,
<v Speaker 1>and so me and Dad would show up and we'd
<v Speaker 1>you know, go ride horses and do whatever we'd you know,
<v Speaker 1>and then wanted to do. And anyway, the Lewis River,
<v Speaker 1>it was only a couple of hundred yards if that,
<v Speaker 1>from the cabin, and I would go down to the river.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, I mean times were different back then. They
<v Speaker 1>didn't really worry about us kids much back then, right,
<v Speaker 1>we really wanted really much to worry about, because you know,
<v Speaker 1>we just win did our thing. But I'd go down
<v Speaker 1>to the river and I'd fish and swim and do
<v Speaker 1>whatever i wanted to do. And so I got back
<v Speaker 1>up to the cabin one day and oh, Grandpa walked in.
<v Speaker 1>He was pretty mad. He was he was pretty upset,
<v Speaker 1>and he was grumbling around. And you got to kind
<v Speaker 1>of understand my grandpa. He was. It was a different
<v Speaker 1>cut of man back then. You know, he was an
<v Speaker 1>old logger from way back. He he didn't take much
<v Speaker 1>from nobody, you know, That's just the way they were
<v Speaker 1>back in the day. But so he walked in and
<v Speaker 1>I'm just going to be I'm just going to tell
<v Speaker 1>you the way it went down. But so Grandpa he
<v Speaker 1>was grumbling around and he was pretty peeved, and Dad said,
<v Speaker 1>what's wrong with you? He didn't really say much at first,
<v Speaker 1>and Dad said, what's wrong with you? Why are you
<v Speaker 1>acting the way you're acting? And then he looked at
<v Speaker 1>that and he goes, the goddamn monkeys are back. And
<v Speaker 1>I was like, what monkeys. He goes, you'll find out
<v Speaker 1>soon enough, and Dad's like, no monkeys out here, and
<v Speaker 1>he said, yeah, you just wait, you're gonna find out
<v Speaker 1>pretty quick. So anyway, Grandpa he had a he had
<v Speaker 1>an area for his horses that it was pretty good
<v Speaker 1>size field out there. Anyway, right off the end of
<v Speaker 1>his cabin he had some corrals built and it looked
<v Speaker 1>like a big tear drop, you know, like like in
<v Speaker 1>oval shape, and it was pretty good size. And right
<v Speaker 1>at the window he had a window in there, and
<v Speaker 1>his bed was right at that window, and he had
<v Speaker 1>a he had a lever action rifle above that window
<v Speaker 1>right there. So well, he didn't have to get up
<v Speaker 1>or then he just rolled over and look out. So
<v Speaker 1>he told Dad, he said, yeah, we're gonna have to
<v Speaker 1>move all the horses and mules up into this corral
<v Speaker 1>for the next few weeks, he said. He said, in
<v Speaker 1>about a month, they'll be gone. And Dad's just like,
<v Speaker 1>what are you talking about, And he said, them damn monkeys, man,
<v Speaker 1>they come back this time of year every year. He said,
<v Speaker 1>as soon as the fish are gone, they'll be gone. Well,
<v Speaker 1>him and Dad got into a big old argument, and
<v Speaker 1>pretty much you're gonna pull him to shut his mouth,
<v Speaker 1>and he'll find out soon enough. So anyway, we went
<v Speaker 1>and got the horses and mules and brought him up
<v Speaker 1>to the cabin there. And sure enough, that night we
<v Speaker 1>were just laying in the cabin and all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>probably around eleven o'clock, the yelling started. It was like
<v Speaker 1>they were yelling back and forth to each other across
<v Speaker 1>the canyons. You could just hear him out there, whooping
<v Speaker 1>in a holler. And I guess, and Dad goes, what
<v Speaker 1>and the hell is going on out here? And Grandpa goes,
<v Speaker 1>All them monkeys are out there just doing their thing,
<v Speaker 1>just chirping along. He said, give them an hour or
<v Speaker 1>so and they'll shut up. So anyway, that that happened
<v Speaker 1>that night, and for the next four or five nights,
<v Speaker 1>you could hear them every night for some reason, about
<v Speaker 1>the same time, they start hollering at each other. And
<v Speaker 1>then Grandpa told me, he said, you don't leave this
<v Speaker 1>cabin until it's full daylight. And if you go down
<v Speaker 1>the river, he said, if you see anything, you just
<v Speaker 1>come right back to the cabin. He said, don't run,
<v Speaker 1>just just walk back up here. Nothing will bother you.
<v Speaker 1>Just just get back to the cabin and just stay
<v Speaker 1>in the cabin. So but I never seen anything. I
<v Speaker 1>just went down and did my fishing and swimming and
<v Speaker 1>you know, riding horses and stuff, and you sure hear
<v Speaker 1>them yelling back and forth to each other.
<v Speaker 2>And your grandpa clearly knew what they were.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, he knew exactly what was going on, because there's yeah,
<v Speaker 1>he knew, Oh absolutely he knew. Yeah, because uh yeah,
<v Speaker 1>if anything would have got you know, the horses and
<v Speaker 1>stuff would have started wrestling around or something, he'd got
<v Speaker 1>that rifle off there and walked out there because he
<v Speaker 1>was not gonna let anything happen to him. He would
<v Speaker 1>have had a shootout right there, but he never did,
<v Speaker 1>not while I was there anyway, But he knew what
<v Speaker 1>the deal was. So and then you know, when Grandpa
<v Speaker 1>said the monkeys are out, I'm thinking like the Indiana
<v Speaker 1>Joe and Spider monkeys, you know, like the little Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I had no idea what he was talking about,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I mean, and then back the end, I
<v Speaker 1>didn't know about salmon runs and stuff either. When he
<v Speaker 1>said the fish are gone, they'll be gone. Yeah, So
<v Speaker 1>and I kind of learned that later on in life,
<v Speaker 1>but I didn't really know what he was talking about.
<v Speaker 1>But there was another situation we had, Dad and Grandpa
<v Speaker 1>were gold bugs. They were always looking for gold. Matter
<v Speaker 1>of fact, my dad had a gold mine when I
<v Speaker 1>was a kid, So they were always looking for the
<v Speaker 1>lost gold mine on the Lewis River. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>if there is or not. I never really paid attention
<v Speaker 1>to that.
<v Speaker 2>But of course there is.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, there's always a gold mine loss somewhere. But anyway,
<v Speaker 1>they were always looking for the lost gold mine, the
<v Speaker 1>old Spaniard gold mine or whatever the hell they called that.
<v Speaker 1>But so anyway, we Dad had a little Jerry boat.
<v Speaker 1>It was a little aluminum boat and this thing was light.
<v Speaker 1>I mean the thing was about half dangerous to even
<v Speaker 1>get in, and tell you the truth, I can't believe
<v Speaker 1>we even used this thing. But so me, Dad and
<v Speaker 1>Grandpa we put it in the boat in the truck
<v Speaker 1>one day and we went up and I'm thinking it's
<v Speaker 1>at the lower the Lower Falls on the Lewis Rivers
<v Speaker 1>where we were at because the road and I think
<v Speaker 1>I found this bench in there, but I think I
<v Speaker 1>know where it's at. But anyway, I remember the Lower Falls.
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty sure that's where we are at. Now. There's
<v Speaker 1>a campground there, and I can't remember if there was
<v Speaker 1>a campground there or not when I was a kid.
<v Speaker 1>But anyway, we pulled over and we got this boat
<v Speaker 1>out down and put it in the water and we crossed.
<v Speaker 1>We crossed the Lewis River and was on the other side.
<v Speaker 1>And of course Grandpa he had his other action with him.
<v Speaker 1>He always carried that rifle with him and Dad he
<v Speaker 1>had the old forty four John Wayne Hammered, you know,
<v Speaker 1>Western model pistols. So we went down and there was
<v Speaker 1>a creek that went up up the hill there and
<v Speaker 1>they were panning and looking around for some gold. And anyway,
<v Speaker 1>Dad says, well, I'm going to go on up the
<v Speaker 1>creek here a ways and I'm going to check out
<v Speaker 1>some more up here and see if there's anything. So
<v Speaker 1>he went up their ways and then Grandpa, me and
<v Speaker 1>Grandpa kind of went up there panning along the way,
<v Speaker 1>and then all of a sudden, Dad he hollered down
<v Speaker 1>to Grandpa. I said, hey, come up here. You know,
<v Speaker 1>Grandpa didn't want to go, and he said, no, you
<v Speaker 1>need to come up here. So anyway, Grandpa said, come on.
<v Speaker 1>So we walked up there and it's probably a couple
<v Speaker 1>of hundred yards up to where Dad was, but there
<v Speaker 1>was a bench into the hillside. If you look on
<v Speaker 1>topographic map you'll see it, but if you look at
<v Speaker 1>the forest map you can't see it. But anyway, so
<v Speaker 1>we get up there to the top of the hill
<v Speaker 1>and Dad says, hey, check this out. Well. Dad had
<v Speaker 1>found a bunch of bones, bones and fish laying around

<v Speaker 1>of a sudden he looked up and there was these big,
<v Speaker 1>big nests in these trees. So they were built about
<v Speaker 1>ten feet across. There were about twenty feet up in
<v Speaker 1>the trees, and they were right on the edge of
<v Speaker 1>this bench. And Dad, you know, Grandpa's looking at like,
<v Speaker 1>you know, what is this? What's going on here? And
<v Speaker 1>Dad goes, I don't know, but it looks like a
<v Speaker 1>big bird's nest, a bunch of them. So anyway, Dad
<v Speaker 1>he ended up climbing up into one of them. He
<v Speaker 1>got up there, he managed to get in there, and
<v Speaker 1>I can remember him looking over the side of this
<v Speaker 1>saying telling Grandpa, I don't know what is this. You
<v Speaker 1>know what would make this? And Grandma's like, I don't know,
<v Speaker 1>but there was a bunch of them along that edge
<v Speaker 1>right there. I always thought they were kind of like
<v Speaker 1>a nest for laying in But I don't think so anymore.
<v Speaker 1>And more I think about this, I think they were
<v Speaker 1>whatever made him was up there sitting there watching that river.
<v Speaker 1>You could Dad said, you could see the river from
<v Speaker 1>those things, So I think they were just kind of
<v Speaker 1>sitting up in there watching the river for some reason.
<v Speaker 1>But anyway, oh, Grandpa, he started getting nervous. I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if he's seen something, hurt something or what, but
<v Speaker 1>he started getting all my dad about getting out of there.
<v Speaker 1>He goes, we gotta go now, just get out, and well,
<v Speaker 1>him and him and Grandpa got into big argument, and
<v Speaker 1>because Dad wanted to stay there and look at him
<v Speaker 1>and he said, no, we got to go now, right now,
<v Speaker 1>get out. So anyway, Dad, he finally got out of
<v Speaker 1>the tree. We kind of walked out on this bench
<v Speaker 1>right on the edgeways, and there was a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>them in there. But some of them looked dilapidated, like
<v Speaker 1>half of them were about well, they were falling down.
<v Speaker 1>Some looked newer. So Dad didn't want to go, Grandpa
<v Speaker 1>wanted to go, and they got into a big argument. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>that was a pretty heated argument. But I think Grandpa
<v Speaker 1>knew what was going on. He just didn't want to
<v Speaker 1>say because I don't think Dad would have believed him. Yeah, anyway,
<v Speaker 1>we got out of there and went back down to
<v Speaker 1>the river and got in the boat and crossed back over.
<v Speaker 1>And that was Grandpa's doing there. He said, we're out
<v Speaker 1>of here, We're we're not messing around in the here
<v Speaker 1>no more. That's it.

<v Speaker 1>Oh? Yeah, Oh yeah. Well my grandpa on my mom's side, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they had they had quite a they had quite a
<v Speaker 1>run in with them. But if I really want to
<v Speaker 1>tell that story online, But anyway, yeah, things got pretty
<v Speaker 1>real from my grandpa on my mom's side that was
<v Speaker 1>up in the Hope wheelm area, Monico. They were logging
<v Speaker 1>out there in the Olympics and they ran into some
<v Speaker 1>stuff out there that it got pretty wild. So but yeah,
<v Speaker 1>and it wasn't just my grandpa. His two brothers was
<v Speaker 1>with him too, and they told me the same story.
<v Speaker 1>So I got three people telling me that individually. They
<v Speaker 1>all told me the same story. This had to happen
<v Speaker 1>in the thirties because my grandpa he ended up in
<v Speaker 1>the Pacific War. In World War two, he got drafted.
<v Speaker 1>He was pretty young when he come up here. He
<v Speaker 1>was from the Moyness Eye, the Moins. I don't know
<v Speaker 1>how you say it, but yeah, him and his two
<v Speaker 1>brothers came up well, well, they had no work in
<v Speaker 1>the thirties and they were they ended up logging up
<v Speaker 1>in here in Washington. So yeah, they ended up out
<v Speaker 1>there in the Olympics around Montsano area, and things got
<v Speaker 1>pretty freaking wild out there, man, Like, yeah, they had
<v Speaker 1>armed guards garden him and everything. So yeah, things got
<v Speaker 1>pretty wild. But yeah, and then once my grandpa came
<v Speaker 1>back from uh World War two, he had a lot
<v Speaker 1>of friends killed over in there. So matter of fact,
<v Speaker 1>he became a minister after World War two.
<v Speaker 2>Wow.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, I know, he wouldn't lie about anything, and
<v Speaker 1>he would tell me these stories and I'm like, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god. And then I had my two uncles tell
<v Speaker 1>me the same thing individually. You know, it worked for word.
<v Speaker 1>I mean they were all together when all this happened.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, it was pretty wild. Man.
<v Speaker 2>So you knew just from the stories of your grandfather
<v Speaker 2>and your other family members that these things are real,
<v Speaker 2>They're out there, it's not just a myth.
<v Speaker 1>Well, it just wasn't our family too. We had friends
<v Speaker 1>and stuff that talked about these things too. I mean, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it's just a hot spot around here. And then in
<v Speaker 1>twenty sixteen, I had a sight. I've seen two of them.
<v Speaker 1>What was that like, Well, scared the shit out of
<v Speaker 1>me for one. Yeah, I just wanted out of that.
<v Speaker 1>I wanted out of that situation. That well, it caught
<v Speaker 1>me off guard because I wasn't I always hunted alone.
<v Speaker 1>I always like to hunt alone. Yeah, I was just
<v Speaker 1>out turkey hunting and I had one walk out in
<v Speaker 1>front of me. Man, it was a nail about forty
<v Speaker 1>five yards away, and it just that scared the shit
<v Speaker 1>out of me. Man. I just wanted out, you know,
<v Speaker 1>just I just wanted out of the situation. And then
<v Speaker 1>another one walked out behind that one. So yeah, it
<v Speaker 1>was pretty wild. Yeah, I was. Matter of fact, I
<v Speaker 1>quit hunting over that for three years. I didn't hunt
<v Speaker 1>again until twenty nineteen. And that happened in the spring
<v Speaker 1>of twenty sixteen, and that was at Mount Adams. I
<v Speaker 1>was on the southeast side.
<v Speaker 2>Of Mount Adams, and you were turkey hunting.
<v Speaker 1>I was turkey hunting at that time.
<v Speaker 2>Out were you like heavily camouflaged and all that.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I built a blind the week prior. I'd went
<v Speaker 1>in there and built a blind and of sticks. It
<v Speaker 1>was kind of a logged area in there, and uh yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 1>The blind looked like a one seed out house. The
<v Speaker 1>door open from the back, and the whole sighting lasted
<v Speaker 1>for about seven minutes, but visually I only seen him
<v Speaker 1>for about three minutes. They kept ducking back into the
<v Speaker 1>brush and they would come back out.
<v Speaker 2>If you don't mind walking me through it.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, Well, you know the spring of twenty sixteen, I
<v Speaker 1>had went up the week prior, I was on private property.
<v Speaker 1>I went in and I had built a blind out
<v Speaker 1>of just limbs and sticks and just stuff laying on
<v Speaker 1>the ground. And I made it with baling water and
<v Speaker 1>a pair of cutters, you know, And actually it looked
<v Speaker 1>pretty good when I was done. So anyway, I had
<v Speaker 1>put a door on the back. Like I said, it
<v Speaker 1>looked like a single seat out house when I was done,
<v Speaker 1>and I had some extra limbs, but I just laid
<v Speaker 1>them up on top. I didn't need to, but I
<v Speaker 1>just for some ready. I just laid him up. I
<v Speaker 1>didn't tie him down or anything. So the next week
<v Speaker 1>I had backed out, went home, and I was pretty
<v Speaker 1>anxious to get up there. So I left a little
<v Speaker 1>early and it was pretty dark, and we're I parked
<v Speaker 1>at there was a landing right there, an old logging landing,
<v Speaker 1>and off to my left was about a two hundred
<v Speaker 1>and fifty acre clear cat up on this hillside. It
<v Speaker 1>was all cut off. So I parked there, I got out,
<v Speaker 1>got my back back on, got my shotgun out. I
<v Speaker 1>was loading it up, and I cleaned my shotgun the
<v Speaker 1>night before, and I forgot to put my plug back
<v Speaker 1>in because I put four rounds into it. And I thought, God,
<v Speaker 1>damn it if I get caught me in the ticket anyway,
<v Speaker 1>So I just put six rounds in and this will
<v Speaker 1>come into play later on. So I just put six
<v Speaker 1>rounds in it, and I was going to walk about
<v Speaker 1>about three quarters of a mile up the road was
<v Speaker 1>the second landing, and off that second landing it dropped
<v Speaker 1>down a hill and it crossed the creek and it
<v Speaker 1>went up the other side of the road did and
<v Speaker 1>it stopped, but off to the right hand side of
<v Speaker 1>that up it's about fifty yards from the creek itself.
<v Speaker 1>There was a flat area right there and there's an
<v Speaker 1>L shaped meadow right there that I was going to
<v Speaker 1>hunt turkey in. They come off the hillside and go
<v Speaker 1>down and get water and stuff. But it's a pretty
<v Speaker 1>good spot in there. So so I grab my stuff
<v Speaker 1>and I take off walking. And I was gonna walk up,
<v Speaker 1>like I said, to the second landing, and drop down
<v Speaker 1>across the creek and go up through the trees right
<v Speaker 1>there and get in the blind. And at the last minute,
<v Speaker 1>I thought, you know, it's dark enough. There was an
<v Speaker 1>intersection between the first landing and the second landing, and
<v Speaker 1>it went up to the up the hill. Because we
<v Speaker 1>have some friends that got two cabins up there on
<v Speaker 1>the hill that we use and we have access to
<v Speaker 1>we can go up there and camp whatever. But so
<v Speaker 1>I thought, you know, I'm just going to cut up
<v Speaker 1>this road right here a couple of hundred yards and
<v Speaker 1>then cut in and come back down the creek. You know,
<v Speaker 1>it just darken up. I don't. I didn't want to
<v Speaker 1>scare any turkeys that were roosting in there, so so
<v Speaker 1>I did. And as I was getting as I went
<v Speaker 1>up the road and I cut in. I was walking
<v Speaker 1>over to the creek. I got down into the creek
<v Speaker 1>and crossed it and came up to the other side,
<v Speaker 1>and it was it was wet. It was it had
<v Speaker 1>been raining a lot, super quiet. Going in there, didn't
<v Speaker 1>make any sound at all. And I have just a
<v Speaker 1>little red pin light. You barely see the ground with
<v Speaker 1>walking in there. But I know the area really well.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, I get down to my blind and I
<v Speaker 1>noticed that I can just barely see the ground at
<v Speaker 1>this point. I mean it's just starting to get light
<v Speaker 1>enough where I can just see the ground. And I
<v Speaker 1>noticed that the top had been taken off the blind
<v Speaker 1>and it was laying right in front of the door
<v Speaker 1>where I couldn't open the door because because the roof
<v Speaker 1>was laying there. And I was I was thinking, well,
<v Speaker 1>how did this happen? You know, I know the wind
<v Speaker 1>didn't do this, so why are all these laying here?
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, I can figure it out. So I just
<v Speaker 1>picked them all up and I put them back up there.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't need to, but I did, and I opened
<v Speaker 1>the door and I went in and I sat down
<v Speaker 1>and put my backpack on the left side, and I
<v Speaker 1>put my shotgun on the right side, and I'm just
<v Speaker 1>sitting there waiting, you know, for it to get lighter
<v Speaker 1>and lighter out, not really doing nothing, just sitting there.
<v Speaker 1>And anyway, it kind of turned into like a flat
<v Speaker 1>light situation, you know, where you can't tell I don't
<v Speaker 1>know if you know what a flat light is, but
<v Speaker 1>it's where you can't really see depth or anything. It's
<v Speaker 1>just kind of in between light and day. Well that's
<v Speaker 1>kind of where I was at and all this right there,
<v Speaker 1>And so about another ten minutes fifteen minutes go by,
<v Speaker 1>and I thought, well, you know, I'm just going to
<v Speaker 1>get my callers out and just get ready to go,
<v Speaker 1>you know, so I kept you know, you know how
<v Speaker 1>the forest kind of wakes up and you can hear
<v Speaker 1>birds chirping and everything going on, and I kept hearing
<v Speaker 1>noises and stuff, but I never really thought about it,
<v Speaker 1>you know, just kind of the forest waking up for
<v Speaker 1>the morning. But so anyway, I started to get my
<v Speaker 1>stuff out, and then I really kept hearing something and
<v Speaker 1>so I stopped. I'm listening, and I listened probably for
<v Speaker 1>about five minutes, and then I realized, wait a minute,
<v Speaker 1>that sounds like somebody talking, you know, like have you
<v Speaker 1>ever had somebody talk that's like right on the edge
<v Speaker 1>of your hearing and you can hear it, but you
<v Speaker 1>can't quite make it out.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, of course, Yeah, Well.
<v Speaker 1>That's what it sounded like. I was looking around, and
<v Speaker 1>it's getting lighter and lighter out, and I was just
<v Speaker 1>looking because I can see through the walls of this
<v Speaker 1>is just sticks laying up there, and there's little gaps
<v Speaker 1>in there. And I was looking out, you know, like
<v Speaker 1>on the right hand side of this blind was up
<v Speaker 1>against the tree. That's kind of what I mounted it
<v Speaker 1>to so it wouldn't fall over. So I'm just looking
<v Speaker 1>and looking. I even opened the back door and stuck
<v Speaker 1>my head out, like where is this coming from? But
<v Speaker 1>it wasn't constant talking. It would break up and then stop,
<v Speaker 1>you know, start stop, start stop. So finally I leaned
<v Speaker 1>forward and I put my head out the blind, and
<v Speaker 1>I figured out that this talking was coming to the
<v Speaker 1>front of me and to the left. And now I
<v Speaker 1>need to kind of explain this meadow. This meadow was
<v Speaker 1>an L shaped meadow, so it went out on the
<v Speaker 1>right hand side. I was looking right at Mount Adams.
<v Speaker 1>It faced exactly west, I mean, and the right hand
<v Speaker 1>side was about sixty yards long, the left hand side
<v Speaker 1>was about forty and then it turned to the left
<v Speaker 1>into a perfect l and it went down about another
<v Speaker 1>forty yards or so, with about a ten yard row
<v Speaker 1>of trees between the creek and that meadow. Yeah, and
<v Speaker 1>the turkeys would come off this hill. They had roost
<v Speaker 1>up on the hillside, and they'd come down and come
<v Speaker 1>across it, and they would go down the creek and
<v Speaker 1>get water whatever. And so anyway, I was thinking, there's
<v Speaker 1>somebody else in here. How did somebody because it's all
<v Speaker 1>private property. I've got the key to the gate, and
<v Speaker 1>I'm seven miles up the road. It's about actually, i'men
<v Speaker 1>about six miles up the road, somewhere in there, five
<v Speaker 1>to six miles, and it's about two more miles up
<v Speaker 1>to the cab and then about a mile above that
<v Speaker 1>is the summit of the mountain. You can go over
<v Speaker 1>the other side. But so I was sitting there thinking, oh, man,
<v Speaker 1>there's somebody else in here, turkey hunting. Damn it. You know,
<v Speaker 1>this really pisses me off, you know, So I was
<v Speaker 1>getting pretty peeved about this whole thing. So matter of fact,
<v Speaker 1>I was getting ready to get out of the blind.
<v Speaker 1>I wasn't even going to take my shotgun with me.
<v Speaker 1>I was just going to walk over there and tell them, hey,
<v Speaker 1>y'all need to get out of here. Yeah, you're on
<v Speaker 1>private property. You don't need to be here. But the
<v Speaker 1>thing I couldn't figure out was is, I know nobody
<v Speaker 1>walked in here. There's the nearest house is ten miles away.
<v Speaker 1>How did these guys get in here? You know? So
<v Speaker 1>just about the time I was going to get out
<v Speaker 1>of the blind, it's starting to get pretty light out
<v Speaker 1>at this point. From where I heard the talking, I
<v Speaker 1>could see something moving through the trees, and I thought, well, shoot, man,
<v Speaker 1>what is this a hundred coming out? Or what's he doing?
<v Speaker 1>So I live in some pines and oak trees. It's
<v Speaker 1>kind of some low scrub stuff. It's not it's not
<v Speaker 1>like the Give or Pinch out where it's like a
<v Speaker 1>jungle in that freaking place. But it's a lot more
<v Speaker 1>open here where I'm at. But I was watching this
<v Speaker 1>thing coming across and I thought, well, here comes a
<v Speaker 1>hunter out. I'll just wait till for him to come out.
<v Speaker 1>I'll just get out and go over there and tell
<v Speaker 1>them to get out of here.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 1>Well, when this thing came out of the trees, it
<v Speaker 1>was bent over at the waist, like a ninety degree
<v Speaker 1>bend because there was some low scrub trees in there,
<v Speaker 1>and it bent over. And when this thing came out,
<v Speaker 1>it stood straight up and it was about two feet
<v Speaker 1>out of the trees. And this is where my brain
<v Speaker 1>kind of it took me a minute.
<v Speaker 3>To figure out what I was looking at, because I
<v Speaker 3>was like, what is that. It's not a person, you know,
<v Speaker 3>it's a gilly suit and I thought no, and then
<v Speaker 3>I thought, well it's a bear.
<v Speaker 1>No, it's not a bear. And yeah, I couldn't figure
<v Speaker 1>out what I was looking at, and I thought what
<v Speaker 1>and that f im I looking at here? And then
<v Speaker 1>it dawned on me, this is what my grandpa's were
<v Speaker 1>talking about. Right here. This is a freaking bigfoot man.
<v Speaker 1>And it was about seven and a half foot tall.
<v Speaker 1>It was a big one. Yeah, it was a big
<v Speaker 1>guy here. Man. I was like, holy shit, and I
<v Speaker 1>started the panic I did. I reached for my shotgun
<v Speaker 1>and I thought, oh, don't don't, don't crab your gun man,
<v Speaker 1>just just stay here, just just I was I was
<v Speaker 1>starting to really panic, man, because I didn't have this
<v Speaker 1>even on my brain. You know, I wasn't even expecting this,
<v Speaker 1>that this just happened out of the blue. And I
<v Speaker 1>kept saying, just don't move, don't move, don't move, don't move.
<v Speaker 1>Just don't panic, don't panic. So this thing was looking
<v Speaker 1>north and I was looking west, so I've got a
<v Speaker 1>full right side view of this thing. And it never moved.
<v Speaker 1>It never moved his head, it never moved his arms,
<v Speaker 1>It didn't do anything. It just stood there and it
<v Speaker 1>was looking up on this hillside. And it did a sound.
<v Speaker 1>It said. It was like a mrr, a real deep
<v Speaker 1>murr with a bird chirp on the end of it.
<v Speaker 1>It's like a merch mercher. And I sound like an
<v Speaker 1>idiot doing this, but I can't do what it did right.
<v Speaker 1>That's basically what it sounded like. Sounded like a murder
<v Speaker 1>with a bird chirp on the end of it, real sharp,
<v Speaker 1>loud chirp. So it did it three times up on
<v Speaker 1>the hillside, and it stood there for about a minute,
<v Speaker 1>and then all of a sudden it backed up slowly,
<v Speaker 1>and when it did it bent over again. It went
<v Speaker 1>underneath this tree and it came out from and I
<v Speaker 1>could see it moving through the trees, and it was
<v Speaker 1>gone for about two minutes or so, and then I
<v Speaker 1>seen that move movement again coming out, and it came
<v Speaker 1>out in the same spot and it did the same thing.
<v Speaker 1>It ducked under this tree limbs and stuff, and it
<v Speaker 1>stood straight up the same spot about two feet out
<v Speaker 1>and it did the same thing. It did that murr
<v Speaker 1>with the chirp on it three times. It was like
<v Speaker 1>a mercher, but it was loud. It was it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>like a yell. It was more of a projected yell.
<v Speaker 1>It did that mird with a turf on it, and
<v Speaker 1>it looked up on the hillside and it stood there
<v Speaker 1>for about another minute, and then all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>I didn't see the arm move. It flicked its wrist.
<v Speaker 1>I could see the wrist flick on it, like it
<v Speaker 1>just did a flick of the wrist a couple times.
<v Speaker 1>And then I looked over I noticed another movement coming out,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, oh God, oh shit, there's another one.
<v Speaker 1>And then I'm now I'm starting to really panic, man,
<v Speaker 1>because this one came out. It did the same thing
<v Speaker 1>as that one. It came under that same limb, but
<v Speaker 1>it didn't walk straight out. It was at a forty
<v Speaker 1>five degree angle from the one that was standing there.
<v Speaker 1>I think it just realized it didn't have enough room
<v Speaker 1>to stand there, so it turned and it walked over
<v Speaker 1>to the left shoulder of this one here, and it
<v Speaker 1>was looking more north northwest where this one was looking
<v Speaker 1>north and I was looking wet. So this one, I'm
<v Speaker 1>watching this, and I mean I was really panicking. Man,
<v Speaker 1>I had like eighteen scenarios go through my brain at
<v Speaker 1>one time. You know, like, what's going to happen? Now?
<v Speaker 1>You know, what do you do? What are you going
<v Speaker 1>to do? So anyway, I got myself calmed down a
<v Speaker 1>little bit and just that, don't move, just just you know,
<v Speaker 1>we work through it. Just keep watching. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>I don't think they knew I was there. And I
<v Speaker 1>kind of got a theory of that here I'll tell
<v Speaker 1>you it's the end. But so that one I noticed,
<v Speaker 1>Oh both of these looked black, but they looked great.
<v Speaker 1>They were the same color. They looked black, but they
<v Speaker 1>were great. And at the time I didn't understand that.
<v Speaker 1>But about five months later I figured this one out.
<v Speaker 1>I think they look black, but they look great. And
<v Speaker 1>this one that came out was about a foot shorter
<v Speaker 1>than the first one, so it was about around six
<v Speaker 1>and a half feet. I'm at six to two, so
<v Speaker 1>I think this one was about six and a half
<v Speaker 1>feet and the first one was about seven and a
<v Speaker 1>half feet. But this one had two black stripes, one
<v Speaker 1>under its armpit and one on its hip. It was
<v Speaker 1>going around the back, so that one that was standing
<v Speaker 1>there kind of turned a little bit towards me, not
<v Speaker 1>a full ninety degrees like the first one, but it
<v Speaker 1>turned just a little bit, and then all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>it turned just a little bit more towards me. And
<v Speaker 1>that one I could see was a female because I
<v Speaker 1>could see the right breast on it. And then as
<v Speaker 1>I'm watching them, I noticed that on this female, she
<v Speaker 1>had her hands in front of her, but like around
<v Speaker 1>her belly button, you know, I could just see the elbows,
<v Speaker 1>but I couldn't see the full hands. And then on
<v Speaker 1>her I got to really look, and right between her breasts,
<v Speaker 1>it looked like there was a head right there where
<v Speaker 1>I could just see the last part of the head
<v Speaker 1>sticking out, and I think there was an infant holding
<v Speaker 1>on to her under the armpits and with its legs
<v Speaker 1>going around her hips. The black stripes. I mean, I
<v Speaker 1>can't be one hundred percent sure on that, but I'm
<v Speaker 1>about ninety eight point five sure that's what was happening.
<v Speaker 1>And she had her hands right in front of her
<v Speaker 1>like it was on as hold as butt, yeah, you know,
<v Speaker 1>right like, and it had its arms around her, and
<v Speaker 1>it just had its head right between her her boobs,
<v Speaker 1>I guess. So anyway, they stood there for about a
<v Speaker 1>minute and a half or so, and then all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden, he huffed, her grunted. He just went and
<v Speaker 1>they immediately they both turned, Thank god, they walked away
<v Speaker 1>from me. They headed west towards Mount Adams, and she

<v Speaker 1>encounter in there and twenty what was it, I gotta

<v Speaker 1>May or July of twenty twenty two. And then that

<v Speaker 1>had another encounter. So one was with my son and

<v Speaker 1>was walking up. We were about three hundred yards apart,

<v Speaker 1>then figured out there was nothing in there and just
<v Speaker 1>threw them on the ground and they were sitting down
<v Speaker 1>there in the trees, and I walked right up on them,

<v Speaker 1>so they weren't too worried about what was behind them.

<v Speaker 1>going to go from the first landing to the second
<v Speaker 1>landing and drop down the creek and walk up, I
<v Speaker 1>would have walked right up in the face of them
<v Speaker 1>things in the dark. I would have walked straight up
<v Speaker 1>right where they were at was right where I was
<v Speaker 1>going to come through. Wow. So yeah, I kind of
<v Speaker 1>kind of dodged a bullet on them.

<v Speaker 1>in the sun. Everything lined up perfect for some reason.

<v Speaker 2>but I mean this is like a crazy perfect storm scenario.

<v Speaker 1>you couldn't make out footprints, but you could see where
<v Speaker 1>something actually walked out of the trees and walked down
<v Speaker 1>through there for about one hundred yards. You can see
<v Speaker 1>where it went down down into the river again. So
<v Speaker 1>I was like huh. And then I got back and
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, well, you can see, you know. I told her,
<v Speaker 1>I said, you can definitely see where something walked through there.

<v Speaker 1>can see where it smashed the grass down and stuff.

<v Speaker 1>the boys that they wanted to mess around with the

<v Speaker 1>and like I said, you got across the creek and
<v Speaker 1>they head down. But they were on this side of
<v Speaker 1>the creek and they were looking through the thermals and everything.
<v Speaker 1>They had the raffles with them and stuff. And anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I was in there trying to I think this was
<v Speaker 1>me because I was trying to get a fire going
<v Speaker 1>in the cabin kind of warm it up, because we're
<v Speaker 1>like six thousand feet five to six thousand feet. It
<v Speaker 1>still even the sometime it gets cold, of so I
<v Speaker 1>was trying to get a fire going, and all of
<v Speaker 1>a sudden, the freaking door busts open and here comes
<v Speaker 1>my son and cal in there, and they're freaked out,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm like, well, they scared the hell out of me.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, what what are you guys doing? And my
<v Speaker 1>son's like, Dad, Dad, Man, there's something down there barking
<v Speaker 1>at us like a dog, but it doesn't sound like
<v Speaker 1>a dog. It's too deep, all right, What do you
<v Speaker 1>mean a dog? You know, you know dogs around here?
<v Speaker 1>And then cow goes no. Then it growled at us. Man,
<v Speaker 1>it was like a real deep, low growl. And I
<v Speaker 1>was like, oh god, well, I hadn't told my son.
<v Speaker 1>I adn't told anybody about this yet. I told the boys.
<v Speaker 1>I said, here, I had my shotgun, but it's not
<v Speaker 1>a hunting shotgun. It's more of a home right, whole
<v Speaker 1>seven rounds. So I had it with me and I
<v Speaker 1>grabbed that and I said, give me one of them
<v Speaker 1>thermals and give me the light. So I said, you
<v Speaker 1>boys just stay up here in the cabin, and now
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna go down look around. So I did. I
<v Speaker 1>went down there and to the creek, and I was
<v Speaker 1>looking around, and I crossed the creek and there's a
<v Speaker 1>on the east side of that creek. There's another row
<v Speaker 1>of trees right there, and then I crossed the creek
<v Speaker 1>and I went up on the other side of those
<v Speaker 1>trees and I walked about up to about where the
<v Speaker 1>cabin was on the other side, and I didn't see anything.
<v Speaker 1>And I just went back down across the creek and
<v Speaker 1>came back out and I said, well, whatever it is,
<v Speaker 1>it's gone. I don't see it out here at all.
<v Speaker 1>So anyway, they were kind of calming down and they
<v Speaker 1>were like, dude, that wasn't normal. And I'm like, well,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know what it was. I already had an
<v Speaker 1>idea what it was, but I didn't want to tell
<v Speaker 1>them right so I found out what it does. It
<v Speaker 1>it's already gone, just leave it alone. So anyway, on
<v Speaker 1>the back side of this cabin, on the creek side,
<v Speaker 1>there's a porch there. It's about ten foot off the ground,
<v Speaker 1>and then the creek goes across there and then there's
<v Speaker 1>a bank right here on the other side. And anyway,
<v Speaker 1>the boys decided they wanted to do some shooting. This
<v Speaker 1>is probably ten thirty at night, and you know, I said,
<v Speaker 1>we're ten miles from Nobody's Nobody's inn, hear us. So anyway,
<v Speaker 1>they got their rifles and pistols out and they were
<v Speaker 1>shooting into the bank on the other side of the creek,
<v Speaker 1>just horsing around. And so they shot for fifteen twenty
<v Speaker 1>minutes and got done with that, and they went back
<v Speaker 1>inside and they were had the music going. And so
<v Speaker 1>I thought, well, I'm just going to go down and
<v Speaker 1>pick up some casings. So I have to reload all
<v Speaker 1>my stuff. So I and the only way to get
<v Speaker 1>out of that cabin is go through the front door,
<v Speaker 1>and you got to go all the way around. And
<v Speaker 1>I was down there on the creek and I was
<v Speaker 1>picking up shell casings and stuff and for about five minutes,
<v Speaker 1>and then all of a sudden, off to our east.
<v Speaker 1>Oh my god, man, I've never heard one of these
<v Speaker 1>things roared before. But man, when this saying roared, oh
<v Speaker 1>my god, you talk about shaking the ground, shaking your lungs.
<v Speaker 1>This saying roared, and I mean, I stood up immediately
<v Speaker 1>and faced that direction, and I said, what and the
<v Speaker 1>hell is that? Because this thing he had a set
<v Speaker 1>of lungs on him, man, and I was like, oh shit,
<v Speaker 1>and I took off running and went back into the cabin. Well,
<v Speaker 1>the boys didn't really hear it. I told him, he
<v Speaker 1>shut that music off for a minute, do something just
<v Speaker 1>she yelled at us, man, And so we sat there
<v Speaker 1>for about ten minutes listening and nothing happened. We were
<v Speaker 1>out on the porch kind of listening, and nothing happened.
<v Speaker 1>That was off to the east side, so I thought, well, shoot,
<v Speaker 1>you know, maybe it's gone. I don't know. So anyway,
<v Speaker 1>I went back out. I said, well, these guys, do
<v Speaker 1>whatever you gotta do. And they turned the music back on.
<v Speaker 1>They're partying or doing whatever they're doing. And I went
<v Speaker 1>back out and I was picking up more brass. And
<v Speaker 1>this time about another ten minutes went by her. So
<v Speaker 1>this thing had moved from the east side and it
<v Speaker 1>was up on the hill to the north side, and
<v Speaker 1>it screamed at us again, but it was closer this time,
<v Speaker 1>and it seemed like it was more intense. So I
<v Speaker 1>go take off running back into the cabin and well,
<v Speaker 1>they heard it that time, and they're like, what was that.
<v Speaker 1>I said, that's whatever that is screaming at us. It's
<v Speaker 1>it's just did it to the north side of us here,
<v Speaker 1>And they're like, wow, man, that's pretty loud. And I
<v Speaker 1>was like yeah. So anyway, the gun started coming out
<v Speaker 1>and getting loaded up, and so we sat there for
<v Speaker 1>about ten minutes and nothing happened. Nothing happened, and so
<v Speaker 1>I thought, well, I wasn't going to go back out
<v Speaker 1>and pick out ama or grass anymore. I was done
<v Speaker 1>with that one. I'm not going to do that. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm pretty much done with that. So I was sitting
<v Speaker 1>down on the front on the front porch, just stand there,
<v Speaker 1>just kind of looking around, and all of a sudden
<v Speaker 1>it had crossed and came down to the east side
<v Speaker 1>of us and there's an old They did some logging
<v Speaker 1>in there and thinning. So there's a great big brush
<v Speaker 1>piles outside of the house. It's about one hundred yards
<v Speaker 1>from the cabin. And then there's a creek about fifty
<v Speaker 1>yards past out another creek that comes down out there,
<v Speaker 1>and this thing let out. Man, this one was even closer.
<v Speaker 1>This thing he had rattled the freaking doorknobs on this
<v Speaker 1>one man. When it anyway, the boys come running out
<v Speaker 1>and they're like, what is that? I mean, this thing
<v Speaker 1>hadn't even stopped screaming. And I said, just get back
<v Speaker 1>in the cabin. Let's just get back in here and
<v Speaker 1>stay there. It had got done yelling. It kind of
<v Speaker 1>made me mad. I was like, you know, cause it
<v Speaker 1>just seemed like it was getting closer and more intense,
<v Speaker 1>you know, like it was just like you could just
<v Speaker 1>feel like something was about to happen. So I went
<v Speaker 1>in there and told the boys. I said, hey, I'm
<v Speaker 1>going out there to find this thing. I grabbed my
<v Speaker 1>shotgun and the flashlight in a thermal, and I said,
<v Speaker 1>I'm going out to find this thing. Man, And I said,
<v Speaker 1>who's going with me? Well, my son and one of
<v Speaker 1>his army buddy said I'll go with you. But the
<v Speaker 1>other two wouldn't leave the cabin. They're like, no, we're
<v Speaker 1>not going out there. So as we went flying out
<v Speaker 1>the door, my son asked me, he goes, where was it?
<v Speaker 1>I said, I think it's between that slash pile and
<v Speaker 1>the creek, so it's about one hundred yards out. So
<v Speaker 1>we kind of went down the hill and We were
<v Speaker 1>kind of taking the road up there, looking around everywhere,
<v Speaker 1>and we got within about seventy five yards or well,
<v Speaker 1>within about twenty five yards of the slash pile, and
<v Speaker 1>my son started getting scared. So his buddy, they're like,
<v Speaker 1>what are we going to do? I said, well, the taxes,
<v Speaker 1>we're going to kill it, and I don't care, We're
<v Speaker 1>going to shoot it. So anyway, they started getting scared
<v Speaker 1>and they're like, dude, we're not going any further. And
<v Speaker 1>I was like, come on, let's just go up here,
<v Speaker 1>and they're like, no, we're not doing that. No, don't move,
<v Speaker 1>We're head back to cabin. So I was like, well,
<v Speaker 1>I don't want to be out here by myself, you know,
<v Speaker 1>right freaking you know, a bunch of army guys out here,
<v Speaker 1>and they're all scared the hell you know that's going
<v Speaker 1>on here. So anyway, yeah, we turned around and went back,
<v Speaker 1>and anyway, we didn't have any more problems, but we
<v Speaker 1>slept with our rifles that night. I told him, you
<v Speaker 1>guys better keep these clothes, man, because I don't know
<v Speaker 1>what's going to happen. But so anyway, they kept asking
<v Speaker 1>me what do you think it is? And I said
<v Speaker 1>I don't know. I don't I knew what it was,
<v Speaker 1>but I just didn't want to say anything. And then Cal,
<v Speaker 1>the landowner son, goes, oh, it's a bigfoot. They're around here,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm just looking at him like he goes, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I believe in him. They're around here, And I'm like,
<v Speaker 1>you know, do you think that might have been good
<v Speaker 1>information to tell us about five years ago? Yeah? You know,
<v Speaker 1>like you couldn't have shared that, you know. So anyway,
<v Speaker 1>that was that was our encounter with my son and
<v Speaker 1>the landowner's son.
<v Speaker 2>So what do you think was setting it off that night?
<v Speaker 2>The gunfire or what I do?
<v Speaker 1>I do? I think what happened was now that I
<v Speaker 1>kind of got into the BFRO and started going on
<v Speaker 1>these expeditions, I start I'm starting to kind of understand
<v Speaker 1>this more and more. But back then I would have
<v Speaker 1>killed I would have shot it. Man, we would have
<v Speaker 1>unloaded on it. But nowadays I wouldn't do that, you know,
<v Speaker 1>I mean, that's their their place, and you know, I
<v Speaker 1>guess education goes a long ways, you know, when you
<v Speaker 1>kind of started understanding these things. But I think what
<v Speaker 1>happened was is when they went it was watching us
<v Speaker 1>from the creek down there at the intersection, and I
<v Speaker 1>think when the boys went down there, started barking at
<v Speaker 1>him like a dog to try to get them to
<v Speaker 1>go away.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Well, when that didn't work and they started getting closer
<v Speaker 1>trying to figure out what it was, didn't graled at him.
<v Speaker 1>Well that worked because they took off running back to
<v Speaker 1>the cabin after that. I think this thing had walked
<v Speaker 1>up the creek and was on the east side of
<v Speaker 1>the cabin, right where the boys were shooting into the bank.
<v Speaker 1>I think it was up there on that bank, and
<v Speaker 1>when they started cutting loose with guns and stuff, I
<v Speaker 1>think that pretty much made it mad. You know.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that seems to be kind of a common denominator
<v Speaker 2>in aggressive situations. Gun fire tends to escalate things rather quickly.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and it did too. Things started stepping up pretty quick.
<v Speaker 1>But I think actually running out of the cabin, all
<v Speaker 1>three of us and kind of doing a little show
<v Speaker 1>of force, I think I realized that, hey, you know,
<v Speaker 1>they're not messing around either. Yeah, and probably wasn't the
<v Speaker 1>smartest thing I ever did, but I think it actually
<v Speaker 1>kind of helped to kind of de escalate things because
<v Speaker 1>it was probably watching us the whole time, and I realized, hey,
<v Speaker 1>they got guns and they're not messing around either, so
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be one or some something's going to happen. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So but we never had another problem that night, you know.
<v Speaker 2>And then what happened with your daughter.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, this happened that October. About four months later, we
<v Speaker 1>were up in the same area at the cabins and
<v Speaker 1>we were elk cotton, but we were up further up
<v Speaker 1>on the mountain. There there's a valley that goes down
<v Speaker 1>through there, and the elk like they're run up and
<v Speaker 1>down that. It's like their migration route for the elk
<v Speaker 1>right in there. So I had an elderly guy, he'd
<v Speaker 1>retired a few months after we went elt Cotton, but
<v Speaker 1>he wasn't in the best of shape, but he was
<v Speaker 1>a co worker. He wanted to go out elkint and
<v Speaker 1>I said, yeah, let's go, and I took my daughter
<v Speaker 1>with me. We were up on the ridge and then
<v Speaker 1>looking down into this valley and it had a forest
<v Speaker 1>fire come through there some years back, so it was
<v Speaker 1>pretty bad in there. It was a lot of deadfall,
<v Speaker 1>and you know, it was just hard getting through there.
<v Speaker 1>So I put my daughter on the ridge, and I
<v Speaker 1>took my coworker down about one hundred yards and I
<v Speaker 1>put him on a stand and I walked back through
<v Speaker 1>my daughter and I said, hey, you know, I'm going
<v Speaker 1>to go down in this valley and see if I
<v Speaker 1>can't get them elped it. You know, they just run
<v Speaker 1>back and forth through that valley right there. So I
<v Speaker 1>was talking to my daughter in about fifty yards behind her.
<v Speaker 1>It was wide open, and then there was some more
<v Speaker 1>trees right in there and right inside the tree line.
<v Speaker 1>I think they were in there hunting too. I think
<v Speaker 1>there was some big foot in there hunting, because man,
<v Speaker 1>there was three tree knocks. It sounded like lightning or
<v Speaker 1>thunder going off when it hit the three times. Man,
<v Speaker 1>it was so loud. My daughter goes, what was that?
<v Speaker 1>And I said, oh, I think it's just And I
<v Speaker 1>was looking over her right shoulder, looking back there at
<v Speaker 1>the trees, and I said, oh, it's just a limb
<v Speaker 1>falling out of a tree. And she goes, damn, there
<v Speaker 1>must be one big limb. I said, yeah, I think
<v Speaker 1>it was. So anyway, I just kind of was like,
<v Speaker 1>I don't know if this is a good I don't
<v Speaker 1>want to leave my daughter, and you know, an elderly
<v Speaker 1>guy out here by themselves. So I got a hold
<v Speaker 1>of my friend. I said, hey, come back here. So
<v Speaker 1>I just called my daughter and him, let's just leave
<v Speaker 1>the area. Let's just get out of here. We'll go
<v Speaker 1>in another direction, which we did. So I think they
<v Speaker 1>were in there hunting too, so they just let us know, like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>get out of here. You know what I mean, You're
<v Speaker 1>only going to get so many warnings, you know what
<v Speaker 1>I mean. Yeah, so we did. We just got out
<v Speaker 1>of there and went back down the mountain and hunted
<v Speaker 1>in another direction. But yeah, I think they were just
<v Speaker 1>telling us, hey, we're here, we're hunting, get out of here.
<v Speaker 1>So so we did.
<v Speaker 2>Since you started, you know, going out with BFRO members
<v Speaker 2>and different people and stuff, have you had any sightings
<v Speaker 2>since then?
<v Speaker 1>Oh? Yeah, yeah I did. Yeah, we had a sighting
<v Speaker 1>as a matter of fact, that first one that me
<v Speaker 1>and my wife signed up for. We ended up between
<v Speaker 1>Forks and Port Angeles up there, and uh yeah, it
<v Speaker 1>was up there at the Olympic Project in fact, so
<v Speaker 1>we were camped there. I was with them. I was
<v Speaker 1>on Scott Taylor's team. There was ten of us that
<v Speaker 1>went out the first night and I'll just give you
<v Speaker 1>a quick rundown of what happened on this one. But
<v Speaker 1>they they said out different teams. They were going different directions,
<v Speaker 1>and I said, well, which one has the most sightings
<v Speaker 1>And they said to well, the swamp trail has the most,
<v Speaker 1>and I said, well, that's one I want to go on.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't know why I do that stuff, but anyway,
<v Speaker 1>So I was on Scott Taylor's team and I was
<v Speaker 1>out of ten people. I was the eighth one in line,
<v Speaker 1>and I've got this army helmet that I bought and
<v Speaker 1>I've got in uh ag, what is it. It's a sting.
<v Speaker 1>It's an AGM sting. I r a three eighty four.
<v Speaker 1>So I mounted it to a bridge on there. So
<v Speaker 1>I'm one hundred percent thermal all the time. So when
<v Speaker 1>I'm walking along, I'm looking through thermal. So we I
<v Speaker 1>was the eighth person in line. The two guys behind
<v Speaker 1>me didn't have thermals. The guy in front of me,
<v Speaker 1>he was from Texas, he had a thermal. And then
<v Speaker 1>of course Scott Taylor, he was leading the group, so
<v Speaker 1>he's he's the first guy. He had a thermal. So
<v Speaker 1>we walked down through this the swamp area. There's a
<v Speaker 1>trail down through there, and we got down at the
<v Speaker 1>end of the road. It's about a mile down there,
<v Speaker 1>and the trail continues on across the road. But this road,
<v Speaker 1>we turned on the road and took a right and
<v Speaker 1>it kind of backtracks uphill about a forty five three
<v Speaker 1>angle to the trail. So we were walking back up
<v Speaker 1>this road. I was looking over the side of the
<v Speaker 1>road and I could see something coming down the trail.
<v Speaker 1>I could see a thermal hit once in a while
<v Speaker 1>of something coming down the trail, and I thought it
<v Speaker 1>was somebody late to the party trying to catch up.
<v Speaker 1>But there was about a fifty foot section of trees
<v Speaker 1>there that was wide open and the brush was about
<v Speaker 1>four feet off their ground or so. So anyway, as
<v Speaker 1>I'm sitting there watching this coming through the trees, I
<v Speaker 1>could see more and more and as all of a
<v Speaker 1>sudden it walked out. It was walking down the trail
<v Speaker 1>just like we walked down the trail. It was. I
<v Speaker 1>could see his legs and arms moving. And then I
<v Speaker 1>did something that I wasn't supposed to do. They say
<v Speaker 1>never say anything and never point at them. Well, when
<v Speaker 1>this thing walked out, I said holy shit, there's one
<v Speaker 1>right there, and I pointed at it. I was backing up.
<v Speaker 1>I was actually pulling my pistol out. Yeah, it freaked
<v Speaker 1>me out that much. You know, you always say you're
<v Speaker 1>ready to see these things, but man, when you do so. Anyway,
<v Speaker 1>the poor the guy behind me, I about ran him
<v Speaker 1>over backing up, and then he kind of caught me
<v Speaker 1>and I kind of come back and said, all, all right,
<v Speaker 1>come down, come down. Well, as soon as I said that,
<v Speaker 1>this ain't stopped, it just froze. I mean it locked
<v Speaker 1>itself up in the trail. So the guy in front
<v Speaker 1>of me, he had a thrumble. He was down there
<v Speaker 1>looking at it too, and the two guys behind me,
<v Speaker 1>they were going, what's it doing, what's it doing? And
<v Speaker 1>I said, it's just standing there looking down the trail.
<v Speaker 1>It's frozen. It's not moving. And then all of a sudden,
<v Speaker 1>it started moving really really slow towards us. I mean
<v Speaker 1>like super slow. It just started turning his whole body,
<v Speaker 1>and I was telling the guys behind me, I said, dude,
<v Speaker 1>it's turning. It's looking. It's turning his body looking at us.
<v Speaker 1>So we were trying to get Scott Taylor's attention, and
<v Speaker 1>we finally got him down there and he was looking
<v Speaker 1>at it on his tube. By the time he got
<v Speaker 1>down there, when it turned and was looking at us,
<v Speaker 1>it all of a sudden it started squatting down, and
<v Speaker 1>I was telling the guys there, I said, hey, man,
<v Speaker 1>squatting down. It's going really slow. Squatted down really slow
<v Speaker 1>until it got down behind those bushes and then it
<v Speaker 1>started doing the old peekaboo with its head. It did
<v Speaker 1>it about twenty times.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>They had just looked up at us and go down,
<v Speaker 1>look up and go down. And then it moved over
<v Speaker 1>to its left our right and behind some trees and
<v Speaker 1>you can see it peeking around the trees and then
<v Speaker 1>all of a sudden it laid down on the ground
<v Speaker 1>and it crawled off off to the right of us, so,
<v Speaker 1>which was kind of wild. I never The next day
<v Speaker 1>Scott Taylor kind of briefed us and said, it's spider
<v Speaker 1>crawled away. I've never heard that before. But I didn't
<v Speaker 1>say anything about it laying on the ground because when
<v Speaker 1>he said that, I was like, dude, you just confirm
<v Speaker 1>what I seen. It looked like it laid down and
<v Speaker 1>crawled off to me. Yeah, Well, that night we all
<v Speaker 1>got back to camp. All the teams got back and
<v Speaker 1>off to our north side of the camp there we
<v Speaker 1>started here in three breaks and stuff like something grabbed
<v Speaker 1>a two by four and broken in half. That's how
<v Speaker 1>loud this steff was. So the next day some of
<v Speaker 1>the researchers went out there to hang up cameras well.
<v Speaker 1>They found a fifteen footstep trackway. Yeah, and then they
<v Speaker 1>were fifteen inches long and seven inches wide, and they
<v Speaker 1>casted there was either twelve or fifteen and they casted
<v Speaker 1>six or eight of them. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>It was interesting, man, since you guys had thermals going
<v Speaker 2>you guys, I assume we're going lights out.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, yeah, it was one hundred percent of lights out. Yeah. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>we were completely dark.
<v Speaker 2>If anybody's questioning the behavior of this thing and it's mine,
<v Speaker 2>you can't see it. It doesn't realize that you guys
<v Speaker 2>can even see it, right.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. If I hadn't said anything, it would have walked
<v Speaker 1>right on by. As soon as I said, holy shit,
<v Speaker 1>there's one right there, it just immediately stopped and then
<v Speaker 1>it faced us.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, there was a situation down in Texas. I've talked
<v Speaker 2>about it on the show in the past. Whenever my
<v Speaker 2>friend went with me and had his life changing experience,
<v Speaker 2>and that was one of the craziest nights of my life.
<v Speaker 2>But I observed one doing the peekaboo thing for about
<v Speaker 2>five to ten minutes that night, and it's weird, man,
<v Speaker 2>it's weird how they do that. Oh yeah, this one
<v Speaker 2>was just kind of behind a bush and you would
<v Speaker 2>just see it like pop its head up above the bush,
<v Speaker 2>and you'd like look over there and try to catch
<v Speaker 2>it with a light of some kind. It had just
<v Speaker 2>duck back down and it just kept doing it over
<v Speaker 2>and over and over, and then it just wasn't there anymore.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, that's what this one did too. Matter of fact,
<v Speaker 1>it did it so much that even Scott Taylor was like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's heads up, now it's down. It's heads up, it's down,
<v Speaker 1>it's up, it's down. You know. It just kept kept
<v Speaker 1>doing that until it just finally, I don't know, got
<v Speaker 1>tired and crawled off, I guess. So anyway, I'm pretty
<v Speaker 1>sure that was the one that we got the foot
<v Speaker 1>tracks off of the next morning. They came into our
<v Speaker 1>camp all night, so it just kind of followed us
<v Speaker 1>back up there was all it did last year. We
<v Speaker 1>were over on the west side of Mount Adams and
<v Speaker 1>I have a thermal drone. I've always been in the
<v Speaker 1>flying drones and stuff. We had our East team take
<v Speaker 1>off and I flew out around around them and nothing
<v Speaker 1>really happened, but I was down about ten minutes of
<v Speaker 1>battery time on them, and our South team called in
<v Speaker 1>and said they were starting to have activity and they
<v Speaker 1>were right behind us. I was facing the north, but
<v Speaker 1>so I was flying back with that thermal drone and
<v Speaker 1>I noticed right above our camp there's three meadows right
<v Speaker 1>there in a row. I noticed two figures standing just
<v Speaker 1>in the tree line, and I thought it was our
<v Speaker 1>salth team, but as I got closer, they took off
<v Speaker 1>walking in. I wasn't recording. Oh man, I'm going to
<v Speaker 1>kick myself in the face for this one, but I wasn't.
<v Speaker 1>I want to. Yeah, I started, well, they walked out
<v Speaker 1>in the middle, and as I come up on them
<v Speaker 1>with that drone, they stopped and then they started squatting down.
<v Speaker 1>Then I realized one was bigger than the other, so yeah,
<v Speaker 1>So I ended up getting about five minutes of video
<v Speaker 1>off of these. But it appears to be a female
<v Speaker 1>holding an infant with the juvenile just to her right side.
<v Speaker 1>I think I see that picture.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then you sent me the follow up with
<v Speaker 2>the I think it was Scott Taylor stand there for
<v Speaker 2>size comparison, yeah, yeah, yeah, nowhere close to the same size.
<v Speaker 1>No, No, he's about the size of the juvenile. I
<v Speaker 1>think the juvenile might be Scott's five foot six. I
<v Speaker 1>think the juvenile may be a little bit bigger than him.
<v Speaker 1>It may be the same height that the mass wise
<v Speaker 1>is just a lot.
<v Speaker 2>Bigger, I think, yeah, for sure.
<v Speaker 1>But the female we're thinking that she was probably about
<v Speaker 1>eight foot size range, because well, the next day Scott
<v Speaker 1>went up there and we did a recreation that I
<v Speaker 1>flew the drone over and I took a picture and
<v Speaker 1>you have that picture too, yeah, yeah, and then we
<v Speaker 1>found that footprint. Yeah, that footprint was from that female,
<v Speaker 1>so left footprint and you can clearly see all the toes.
<v Speaker 1>You can see everything in that one.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So I have two or three pictures of the juvenile.
<v Speaker 1>It was seven It was either seven or eight inches
<v Speaker 1>long on the juvenile foot tracks that we found too.
<v Speaker 2>So where is your head at with what these things
<v Speaker 2>are at this point?
<v Speaker 1>You know, I have thought about that and thought about it.
<v Speaker 1>I just I don't know. I just I don't know
<v Speaker 1>because the ones I seen, the first ones I seen,
<v Speaker 1>they didn't have a cone head. I keep hearing reports
<v Speaker 1>of oh, this thing had it, especially down in the South,
<v Speaker 1>like where you guys are at. Yeah, they said that
<v Speaker 1>they have coned heads. But the ones I seen didn't
<v Speaker 1>have any cone heads at all on them. They just
<v Speaker 1>looks like a roundhead to be.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, the things that I've seen didn't have a
<v Speaker 2>cone head. And I was like you, I had always
<v Speaker 2>heard that. You know, they have this huge sagital crest,
<v Speaker 2>and like what I saw didn't have that.
<v Speaker 1>No mine. Yeah, the daylight sightings i've seen, even in
<v Speaker 1>our thermals, it didn't seem like they had a coned
<v Speaker 1>head either. So given that picture I sent to you,
<v Speaker 1>it looks like it has a round head on it. Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I don't know. If it's maybe just a thing with
<v Speaker 2>males that develop later in life, or if it's maybe
<v Speaker 2>there's different kinds or something. I don't know. Man, what
<v Speaker 2>I saw didn't look anything like in the movies or
<v Speaker 2>the pictures or anything like that. Right, I've seen very
<v Speaker 2>few artist interpretations that get anywhere close to what I saw.
<v Speaker 1>I've only seen one drawing from a guy out of
<v Speaker 1>Idaho that had a sighting. I seen mine on the
<v Speaker 1>right hand side. He's seen his on the left hand side,
<v Speaker 1>but that drawing. Matter of fact, next time I see him,
<v Speaker 1>I'm gonna get a picture of that, because that is
<v Speaker 1>absolutely perfect to what I see in the first time
<v Speaker 1>that it just fit everything. It's the closest that I've
<v Speaker 1>ever seen as far as the drawing goes. I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I've thought about that. I've had people ask me about that.
<v Speaker 1>What do you think, you know? I don't know. I
<v Speaker 1>just don't think there's that many of them around. I
<v Speaker 1>think they're just few and far between, and they're just
<v Speaker 1>chance encounters with these things.
<v Speaker 2>You know, do you think they're flesh and blood or
<v Speaker 2>do you think there's paranormal aspects to them.
<v Speaker 1>I've never seen any paranormal But I've heard people talk
<v Speaker 1>about cloaking and orbs and flying spaceships. I've never seen that,
<v Speaker 1>So you know, until I do. To me they're flesh
<v Speaker 1>and blood, you're not going to convince me otherwise. I
<v Speaker 1>don't think these things fly spaceships or slowed around as
<v Speaker 1>an orb But I don't maybe I'm wrong. I don't
<v Speaker 1>until I see it. I'm just going to go with
<v Speaker 1>what I seen.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I've talked to a lot of people, and
<v Speaker 2>I've heard a lot of stories. I've talked to people
<v Speaker 2>that I completely believe in, trust that have, you know,
<v Speaker 2>witnessed some extraordinary things. But me personally, I never saw
<v Speaker 2>any of it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I haven't either, you know. And I've had people
<v Speaker 1>tell me, oh, I've hunted this area for forty years. Well,
<v Speaker 1>you know what, so did I until that day. You know,
