It's a good pick for the Giants to pick up, and they had essentially given up on Bailey. They were like, the offense hasn't been there for years. This year it's atrocious and this team can't hit so as good as he is at framing pitches. The Giants and Buster Posey, who could freaking hit when he was a catcher in the Bigs said I'm done. We're moving on to Susac and hey Zus Rodriguez, who had a huge knock for them yesterday. Your thoughts on this one for both sides.

So because the Giants are just in love with him, I don't know, Kratz. Maybe you have a better feeling on this for me, but I just I don't see it. I more don't see it. I mean the Giants, sure, I see it from their side, but the Guardians. I just don't understand why the Guardians would do this.

I know the Guardians really want that stat. I know from knowing Buster and playing with Buster. The receiving stat is not that it's not that important to him. He thinks there is other values. Other teams really really value that receiving stat. So I think that's why the Guardians went and picked him up and just said, okay, whatever on your hitting, Like we've figured out how to have catched catchers that don't hit. And because Buster posey when Farhan Zaidi was there, Buster wanted I'm forgetting the catcher's name. He was there the year before. Like the nicest guy, Hunley, Oh to manage. Well, they wanted him to manage, but they wanted him to come back, and Farhan Zaidi said, no, we're going to trade for Krats because his receiving numbers are better, and Posey said, who cares about receiving numbers. I know what this guy can do in the big leagues. I want him back. And they butted heads on that, so I know Posey's well, he's not like, oh, receiving doesn't matter. He just doesn't value it as much as the rest of the industry values it.

They are pitching defense, run prevention to its core. They think that slumps less than hitting, which is accurate, and then you get to the postseason and they never hit enough to really go deep, right. But their thing is, I think they do all this saying we're gonna have a consistent enough competitive season and maybe one year our hitters all get hot at the same time, or we get one big bat and we're able to push through. So that's like their emphasis on this side. The Giants emphasis is our offense sucks, our big three is doing nothing, and do you know who's getting picked on as much as the big three? Patrick Bailey fans were going freaking wild, pitchforks everywhere because he hadn't hit for years, and maybe they don't value obviously.

If you're swinging good, hit more, because if you're swinging bad, you don't want to re establish bad habits.
