That was so hot. I love watching you do other guys. I'd like
to see you do a guy sometime. It can be arranged. Four finger
Discount dude, welcome to forfigure discount. With this week, we're here to
review the eighteenth installment of the Treous of Horror franchise. It is Tres of
Horror eighteen and I am guys, and yeah, a slightly less spooky tree
has not as much horror in this Treehouse of Horror as one might expect.
You mentioned to me before we were recording the other day one about Seinfeld podcasts.
I think it would have been you didn't really enjoy this one. I
am going to say that I really enjoyed the Mister and Mister Smith parody.
Granted, no horror, still violent, not horror, but still violent,
still blood thirsty. The final one I thought was a bit. It started
off okay, I like the trick or tree aspect of it, and then
I sort of went into a riff on what was it? A riff one
in the end, the Seven Deadly Sins. But it's a particular thing.
It's on the wiki page. Well, yeah, I mean they have things
in the US during hellwhen called hellhouses or heckhouses in here. Yeah, yeah,
in this case because it's yes, orchestrated by Ned Flanders, who's not
gonna well. The Heackhouse is inspired by the Garden of Earthly Delights, painted
by Dutch Renaissance painter I can't say his name, Hieronymous Bosh Horonymous bo Okay,
Yes, so that's what the basis of this story was. The frame
story of Heckhouse is inspired by the horror film classic Seven Footprints to Satan.
Like in the film, has the heckhouse the function to teach about morality.
I don't know how much of a classic. I've never heard of it,
okay, but it says horror film classic according to Wikipedia, and it never
lies to us. I'll get up to Seven Footprints to Satan. Let's get
it up. I'll tell you when it first came out. It looks like
it's old because the poster is like handpainted. It came out in nineteen twenty
nine. Oh, I think anything more than hundred years. I was just
defined as a classic. It's a classic. We're just calling things a classic
now. But yeah, I was of the mind that because there's a documentary
called is it I think it's called hell House LLC. And you've got this
company that basically sets up spooky houses all over the place, but they have
a bit of a Christian undertone as well as like, well you go to
HG Double hockey Sticks if you do this, this or this. Okay,
So that's what this is similar based on. I think so. Yes,
I think I enjoyed the second one the most. I will say I was
kind of disappointed because you know how much I love ET. My son's name
is Elliott. I've got a giant Et statue in here. Et is my
favorite movie voice. You're looking at me, Yes, yes, but I
feel personally attach. The thing is, I remember when they first marketed it's
going to be an ET segment on Tres of Horror and being so genuinely excited.
I think I've been that excited for a tress or a segment in a
long time. My two favorite franchises coming together, and I couldn't have been
any more disappointed. I didn't think there was any real humor in that one.
It felt like a rushed, non thought out, just beat for beat
take on it, except for the fact that the aliens are here to invade
in the end. But in the end of it where they just kill them
and then Homer smothers the alien at the end. I thought, this is
just im poor taste. It is. It's kind of mean spirited. I
think you're laying a trap for yourself if you're going to, first of all,
do a parody of the parody of ET. I mean, it's such
a beloved film, and beloved for very specific reasons. I mean, it
tends to be a film that a lot of people, yourself included, very
very close to Ye, there's a lot of nostalgia for it. Laying a
second trap by doing a parody of it or paying tribute to it during a
Treehouse of Horror episode, it's like, okay, well we'll take the beloved
ET put a bit of a sinister but humorous twist on it. Degree of
difficulty is somewhere around nine point eight. Even though even though I mean,
you go back and you look at Et, particularly before he reveals himself all
day, we don't know what gender ET is. If the kids say that's
true, they do. But apparently spielbergers said, since that he's a plant,
so he's non he's non binary because he's a plant. So it's some
someone on on the zone the other days, Like what if we went home
to ET's planet and everyone else they were all wearing clothes. He's just a
freaking I mean, we do see at the start another more enclosed day is
a funny gag, that's true. But then but then on top of that,
Yeah, you kind of dropped the ball by doing it in this kind
of mean spirited fashion. I mean, it should have been that the cops.
You should have taken the same trait as the cops are the bad guys
here, not the AD. I understand what you're trying to go for with
Treos of horror, but the shinning right, the shitting just follows the shining
right with the Simpsons twist, you completely you took the ET vibe and he
had similar elements there, but you just completely changed the story. I don't
think that's what ET fans wanted. I don't think that's what ET fans want,
absolutely not. I mean, you're trading on the ET name, so
you probably basically have to play by ET rules. I like the I mean
I think when I was saying to you, I didn't like this episode,
Daniel, can we not record it? You literally said that you didn't listen
to and exactly that voice. But I say, I like the idea behind
each of these segments. I think they all work. And you know,
me being the Monday morning quarterback that I'm like, I would have done this
way, like I said, with the two greatest words in the English language
hindsight, unless, as I know, it's one word, don't worry,
can't put him that's a joke. Oh it's twenty twenty now of these handsag
glasses. Yeah, I think these are all good ideas. I could see
how they'd work in this very How long is each segment of a tree house
of r It's usually what five minutes? Well there is sometimes they dedicate more
to others, but it's usually five minutes five to six minutes each. Ish
this one would have been that for this because we had the intro, which
I'll touch on later as well. Yeah, but okay, you've got the
story of which is very loving, very understanding. It's like, oh,
you know, he's stranded on this planet and we have to help him.
Let's get him home. Oh, when he's not stranded, it's like,
wait a minute, he's and we're just as bad. In fact, we're
worse it's it's like what comes out feeling good, and I wanted to come
out feeling happy. Not that you should have a treehouse of Horror. I
like I said at start, I get why they put the twist on it
right to make it more fun. It just didn't. But there's feel right
with this. There's a nasty tit twist and there's just plain cruel and cold
blood, which is what this feels like. Homer Smother in the Island at
the end just really put the chair in the cave for me to go.
Like you said, mean spirit, I went, this is just not fun
at all as a kid watching this. You beyond granted kids probably shouldn't be
watching treeos of horror, but still any of you are going, that's just
that's just not cool. No, no, But I always thought treehouses of
horror is to use a term I use a lot babies first horror movie,
or you know, your first steps into the genre. I mean, if
you know a little kid's watching The Shining and go, oh, that's I'm
scared, but also kind of interesting. Let me show you a little something
here, kid with Jack Nicholson and Shelley GiB My question for you, though,
is that didn't we just watch Homer shoot the al, shoot King or
Cotis with whichever one it was. It's Codis the destroyer, isn't it.
I believe it is Coder. Yeah, so we watch him to shoot him.
So then how's the other table? Literally ten seconds later, probably got
super cool alien regenerative powers, not unlike ET the extra correctorial. I'm pretty
sure you exploded. Et Hey, come back, you can heal boo boos.
That's the other sorry to be all guy talks about what he saw on
Twitter. But all this week or maybe over the last fortnight. Well,
it wasn't n till my internet crapped out. Hey, I I Net,
hurry up, fix my shit? Uh have you unplugged U from the wall
and left plugged the back in? Have you reset your motive? No?
I think they recognizing that it's a more serious issue that we're going to Oh
says that you haven't paid your bills since nineteen ninety seven. That is a
serious issue. But also it's a twenty first century Internet should be free for
everybody. Um, there's been hot got in your phone to your TV.
Not even that, just looking at the internet media. I told Umbrella,
thank you friend, of the pot Umbrella. Yeah, where they send you
this week? The Hitcher? Was it? Actually I've already had the Hitcher,
but they sent me two classics of Australian exploitation, okay, was Blotation,
Dead End Drive in and Midnight Spares. I've always said, you know,
we're the country that made Mad Max and Mad Max furiros in cinemas now
apparently tanking, not tanking, but not doing as well as expected. The
Man Max movies have never been huge blockbusters. I don't know why people would
have expected huge bank at the box office that movie. Anyway, as I
was saying to somebody on Twitter, they were saying films, the movie industry
is dead, and I'm like, it's like how many sequels into a franchise
And they're saying, well, all these high IP because they said Barbie,
right, And I said, of course Barbie did well because it was it
was It's Barbie. Yeah, it's like Super Mario. Of course Maria is
going to do what's fuck sup Marios? The intrigue people going, oh,
then why are the other b IP is not succeeding like the other the new
Marvel movies and Transformers. The new one didn't do well, And I'm like,
transforms, you have any fucking sequels that we dip into the Franis Indiana
Jones. That's the fifth one into a franchise. What was the first of
the Marvels. I'm sorry superhero fans, but the new Marvels superheroes are not
the same level ip wise as Barbie. We're talking franchise fatigue as well.
I mean, yeah, that's that's the first Barbie movie. We've we've never
seen it. There's the intrigue, of course, is going to do well
because people were saying, oh, people are saying people shouldn't have female leads.
I'm like, granted, yes, I argue that, right, I
understand people those so you are saying they shouldn't have females. People are saying
that they're idiots, right, I understand they feel idiots. But also you
can't put all the success to the fact that it was a female lead.
It was fucking Barbie. That's why. That's eighty percent of the reason,
my opinion, why it was his success because it was just Barbie. It
was the intrigue of seeing this huge ip Barbie's first film. They're also incredible
marketing unbelievable marketing. Margot Robbie Ryan Gosling went above and beyond. The Warner
Brothers marketing team went above and beyond. Friend of the Pod, and you
make the airfort and there is again no franchise fatigue. Yeah, if you
build it, they will come. Yeahway back to this episode. Yes,
oh we got side wrap. But yeah, Australia made these, made the
first Mad Max. We should have been making Mad Max knockoff ten to the
dozen. Yeah we did not for some reason. The Italians did it.
They made some really good ones. But was it just money? I think
I think infrastructure. No, I think it was an idea that Australians might
might have thought it was a bit vulgar. There's in the great documentary about
explitation movie called Not Quite Hollywood. You've got a few people saying, no,
no, we don't want to We don't want the rest of the world
thinking that we're a bunch of hons Alaricans and marauders and monsters. You know,
we wanted to think we're what's the saying. Homer says, as far
as everyone knows, we're a nice, normal country. Well, that's exactly
it. And if you had made a bunch of more Mad Mac movies and
Mad Max knockoffs and oh that's all they do down there. It's just this.
It's Convict Island and it never evolved, so it sounds like a great
what's the condemned ripoff? Convict Island? Every Australian for himself, I always
wanted to do an Australian escape from New York rip off where Tasmania's becomes a
penal colony. That'd be awesome, would be great, wouldn't it. Let's
do it. We have a lot of ideas. We had a lot of
ideas if you looking for ideas and where your men? We have a lot
of ideas, but now many yes, so sorry read when we were I
just said, oh yeah, I watched Dead End Drive in and Midnight Spares
brought you from your friends at the Umbrella Corporations. Not the resident evil Umbrella
Corporation. We're talking about the good one Umbrella Entertainment dot com today. You
believe it, my beach. Check them out if you want to get some
cool that is correct film. But the thing is, mister missus Smith,
what didn't you like about this? Because I thought this was actually really well
put together probably one of my favorite chests for a segment in quite a while.
I really liked how Margin Humm were just both really good at this they
living their own double lives. I can't I remember going to see Mister and
Missus Smith at the cinema. My memories are basically, they're a couple who
were both assassins and don't realize that they're actual assassins living a double life.
And then they both sort of realized at the same point, Oh, wait
a minute, you're you're you, you're you, and then they come together
at the end. Yeah, there are a couple who meet cute while they're
on a they're on their respective jobs. Neither of them know that the other
is an assassin's breadbed. Angeline and Jolly, and of course they're incredibly drawn
to each other, and they were in real This is where they got together.
They got they hooked up for the first time. Yes, Pitt still
with Angeline and Jolley and Jennifer Aniston. Yeah. So I thought it was
a lot of funny gags and this thought the action sequences were good, and
I thought that whilst it was not gory, I just thought there was still
a lot of violence. In there it was, but essentially it was just
replaying Beef Beat a lot of mister and missus Smith. That's that's what I
guess it is. But it didn't transpose it properly to the Simpsons. I
mean, I would have loved it if they were still the same middle class
lower and middle class family they always were and realized times again tough, we
need side hustles and home is not going to go work at the bowling Alley
and see he becomes an assassin. I think I'm going to get a job.
I think if this was a full length episode, you probably have the
time to do that. You don't have the time to when it's called mister
missus Smith, what's it called here? And Simpson? Which is funny if
you know the license of its Missus Smith, you know the story explaining all
that. It's just kind of I agree with you, that would have been
good, but I think time restraints here. You probably just haven't got the
time for that kind of setup. When you just as an audience, you
just kind of get it, okay, but instead you just get It's like
when you know how occasional in the oscars or something they'll have or on any
award show, like a movie award show. They'll take the host, usually
a comedian, and transmit transpose them into like a movie. I mean,
when I was growing up, was Billy crystlal and I was like, they
put Billy Crystal in Titanning. That's funny. This is essentially that they didn't
sympsonize it is all. It's just they've really just taken the script from Mister
and Missus Smith and they put Homer and Margin in it. Now, you're
right. I mean, it does look good and the action is kind of
funny and well put together, But I don't know, just on mine,
I was like, I would have liked a little bit more. It's not
enough for me to say, hey, imagine mister and Missus Smith, but
with home remarks like okay done, Mister and Missus Smith have Angela Jolie making
him a killer Lasanna and him going don't need it, don't okay, Okay.
Yeah, that's pretty much the only well not the only Simpsons as gag
in there. But I don't know. I liked the let's get to our
favorite moments, my favorite. I really enjoyed that moment when we're talking to
his brain okay, don't all right, you're eating it. Okay, don't
eat too much? All right, you finished it? Okay anymore? With
him saying I'll kill her after the dessert says it out loud. I thought
that was just funny, Homer. You know, usually when he's talking to
his brain. There was one bit last week at the start of last week's
episode where it was strangling his own head, and that was stupid. This
felt more like the classic Simpsons. But this felt more what it used to
be. Yeah, from my mind, the brain was smarter than him.
Yeah, there was a bit in Mister and Missus Simpson and look, it's
veering in the which as a centers doesn't make any sense. But you know
what I mean that the brain's trying to speak sense. But his body,
you know, you know what I mean, the smart part of his brain,
which is a very small section of the impulse is yeah, yeah,
or what do you call it. You've got the you know, the superrego
and the and the it is the part that's just like, do what I
want right now, do whatever feels good right now. Yeah. There's a
line in the Mister and Missus Simpsons segment where it sort of like feels like
it's veering into Peter Griffin territory. But I just I think it's a really
funny line, which pit where he's about that they I think they're at the
marriage counsel at the start, which is yeah, also a direct left from
mister and missus Smith. It's ahead of film start, that's it. It
sort of book ends that they're they're sitting at the therapist office and they're trying
to work this shit out, but neither of them knows that the other is
a killer. And well, you know, we just don't have anything common.
You don't share my interest in not being with you. That was very
mean. I thought it was very mean, but it's also but it fit
this story. It is and you remember, these aren't can This isn't Homer
being Homer. This is no this is mister Smith. You know, this
is a couple that are dissatisfied with what. Yeah, that was a pretty
funny line. I didn't mind it as well. Yeah, I liked the
it's only quick sort of passing gay. But when he's talking to Burns,
who's obviously the boss, I'm not I'm assuming Brad Pitt's character must have a
boss that he speaks to in the film. Yeah, they both have these
voices in the Charlie. Yeah, they both got teams and they sort of
like support staff. Okay, Brad Pitts' is Vince Voorne and it was always
for a while that Vince Vaughn was the supporting guy in many in Australia.
Moment I see they're selling now, buy one, get one, I just
giving them away now because he's doing like a speech with like too some check.
He's like an influence and from like desperate, not just bad that like
the Housewives of something. Yeah, I must have meant when I saw that,
I'm like, Vince why Yeah, also Vince what he's talking about business
or something. Yeah, it's some of the best comments, saying it's come
a long ways since throwing it on the line to be a Google What was
that movie that The Intern? He's ting a long ways and throwing it all
the way to to just try and be a Google intern or whatever. I'm
like, that's awesome. I just never understood VI's vornas knacked. I mean,
apparently he's a lovely guy. I don't know. I've heard nothing but
nice stories, but you just think him Oh, goodness. I liked him
in Drassic Park Lost World. Yeah, but he just when they try to
make him a main star for a while there, I just didn't get it.
He's a perfect supporting cast actor for me. Main star, I don't
understand it. It's it's very interesting. I mean prior to Lost World,
I mean the reason he got that was a movie called Swingers. Have have
you ever seen Swingers? No? I have not. If your Swingers,
you go, oh, yeah, this guy is the biggest star in the
world. He's just everyone who saw Swingers when left this and we go,
who's that? Who is that? Okay, Yeah, he's really really good
in it. I mean that's and I think spell booths and said, give
me that guy. I want him. And for a while he tried.
I think we've talked about this before about they try to be all things,
you know. I mean, I think we were talking about the Chris Is
maybe even Chris Prout or something. He tried romantic comedies, he tried goofball
comedies. Yeah, and but he also tried oh okay, action, Oh
but how about I'm a dramatic actor as well, And some of them stuck,
a lot of them didn't, and for a while, I was like,
oh, the Vince Thorn thing. Didn't take that shame. He was
really good in swingers, and then he started making comedy. He started making
those frat boy comedies like Old School and wedding Crashes, and they was like,
yeah, that's why we like Ben Wilson. He did essentially yeah,
yeah, and Will Ferrell and all that kind of stuff. And for a
while there he was very popular again and then started to fade for a bit.
Didn't he date Jeff fer Innison getting back to Yeah, he did because
they were in a very good movie about their breakup called The Breakup, and
it was about them breaking up after they've broken up. I think I don't
know if they if they broke up during the making of it or something like
that, but maybe maybe life imitates art or something. Yeah, it was
a bit like that. It's a good movie. Yeah, I mean,
I've got time for Vince Vaughn, but yeah, he's one of those guys
it seems hard to It's like, are you a star? But maybe you
work better in you know, as he said support roles. Who can tell?
But I think I know I don't want him at some god awful seminar
like speaking business. Look at the pink he try and pitch me time ship
exactly right. Oh you know, try the Vin's Barn sponge drink Prime.
Try. Don We went to our friend's place on the weekend and they go
kids who one's I believe eight or nine, one's seven and one's four,
and they're all drinking Prime. The whole family is like drinking Prime, like
I want the pink, I want this, and they're all like they're like
obsessed Prime drinkers. And I was like, okay, so I can see
in my head, I'm thinking marketing genius. I certainly I thought you were
making up Prime. But Prime is an actual drink. It's Logan Paul's energy
drink. Of course it is. Oh my gosh. So people rag on
the Paul brothers. They are fucking they're marketing geniuses. They've they unlocked the
matrix. I don't understand that. I'm I'm not going to say wow,
Jake and lerg and there my twin gurus. They know how to play this
crack the world, mate. Yeah, they fucking worked it. Even if
is it a pro wrestler now boxing wrestling, even if Mike Tyson punches a
hole straight through his head. He'll have enough money to rebuild his head just
from that fight. Yeah, they have cracked the code of the twenty first
century media. Well, they got into the YouTube thing when before everyone else
was doing it star and they've evolved along the way as well. He's at
the stepping stone. Not much, but plus, either Jake or Logan is
married to like the Swedish supermodel named Nina Agdale who was just like hotter than
Kay and Pepper. I'm pretty sure one of them was married to a former
porn star as well, dating a former porn star to reach their rown.
Anyway, well done to them. Hey, friends of the pod, come
on the show. Yeah, what were we talking about Vince Born? I
don't know, but we're getting back to it though. What else I really
enjoyed from this one? Oh? Yeah, he was in Mister and Missus
Smith. Yes, I liked dan Southern Bowel voice, and I thought it
had a nice payoff that he came to the door as Lincoln. That funny
expecting this woman he's Abraham Lincoln and saying the South shll rise again. Just
it's all silliness. But I just really like Dan doing the Southern balm.
I really only have one more thing that I liked, not a bit so
much. And I'm trying to recall if this was actually a lift from another
movie. I think it might have been. But during a heck house,
the kids are running wild. Oh, how are we going to discipline these
kids who have gone Halloween crazy? Then you've got ned sort of in the
shadow. I can help you. I always like a charismatic trickster who comes
to town and like, OK, I can fix that up for you,
And it's quint from Jews. They end up telling you a monorail or some
sit like that. Speaking of tribute to Phil Hartman, it is twenty six
years this week that he unfortunately passed away quarter of a century and passed away
slash was murdered. Yeah, it's passed away indicates peacefully. This was the
opposite thereof quarter of a century. We still miss you, Phil. Yes,
the Simpsons misses him dearly. Absolutely, popular culture misses him now.
I also want to point out, so it's been common knowledge for a while.
It's common knowledge. It's been written on the internet for a while now.
There's an episode of Fish Courts Some with the Troy mclauy episode Planet of
the Apes where he marries Selma, right, and Fat Tony makes has a
line in that episode where he says, no, I said he slips with
the fishes. Right. That wasn't voiced by Joe Montagnan. Oh my gosh.
They have said that. They thought, since there's only one line,
we're not going to drag Joe all the way in to the studio for one
line. He's up to that point. Fat Tony had had bits in the
episode, right, so they had a person filling in. Up to this
point, everyone's always assumed it was Phil Hartman that did that, right.
I've said all the Simpsons wikis, all the ones that do the do their
research or not just Wikipedia, Simpsons wiki everything, Phil Harmon has videos on
YouTube. Blah blahlah blah. Turns out apparently it wasn't Phil Hartman. It
was Hank Gazaria. And if you listen to it, it sounds like a
Moe doing that Tony when when you know it's Hank. Because Bill Oakley replied
to our tweet about it, because I put a post up a bit too,
Phil Hartman, I put fat Tony in there. It's a little like
I did that that sort of people gone, well, you wonder well actually,
and it turns out I was wrong because Bill Oakley went on there and
went, I'm pretty sure that's Hank, and I'm like, well, you
were there at the time, you probably if you trusts Bill. So it
turns out as probably Hank's out. But I've said, hey, we need
to settle this, Hank, Hank was this you? The only way to
know is if Hank says it was him or not. Indeed, yes,
So we shall find out. We'll keep you guys updated if he does get
back to us. Okay, Bill, if you could also get back to
us if you're not eating every fast food in the mirror. He is eating
a lot of food at the moment. He is indeed good on it,
living the dream he's living. Him and the Paul brothers, they've worked it
out. They've worked it out. Yes, So yeah, but that's that
were my favorite bits. I just liked ned sort of slinking out of the
shadows of charismatic trickster. You remind me a bit of very old school reference.
But Robert Mitcham in Night of the Hunter, a fantastic movie and one
of the great all time great screen villain. Alright, there's now time for
the stonecuts. But before we talk about our stonecuts, mister David, we
have mister David, mister Davis, we have a very special you are you
podcasting with someone else? What's his quote from They Live? Keith David?
Oh that you dirty motherfucker, dirty motherfucker. We have a special shout out
for our man Andrew Swan, patron of the show, friend of the show.
But he a few weeks ago, I would say maybe even two or
three months ago. It was about eleven thirty at night. I went to
share one of our podcasts on the Facebook page, right, where's the story
going? And I realized that the website had gone down. Our host who
have been hosting the web website since the beginning twenty fifteen, they just decided
I wouldn't do it that anymore. I'm getting out of the website hosting.
I message guys like, guys, I am not doing that anymore. I've
just I've just closed it all down. I'm like, so bad's would have
been much appreciated. So I know you're not doing it, but we're still
doing a website. So I'm thinking it's my website because the website was still
there. I could still log into it, but it just wasn't visible on

We're very happy to have you here. Next question, you there eating
the baste. What's your first question for me? Stam's Oh yeah, we're
doing trivia. Okay, Marge sticks Jack Bow to the fridge using what is
it a what's a magnet of some kind? It is a magnet, yes,
something that the kids made, nop. But what is it? It
is a watermelon? A watermelon? All right. My first question for you
is when do kange codis in their alien race watch Colombo. That's a very
good question, that's right. We watch Colombo during something something of something something.
Oh yeah, because there's rainouts of something. Yeah, when there's rainouts
at the gleek clock game. Yeah. Your day's question, Uh, what
is Homer's code name? Slash Weight? Oh that's one of my favorite moments.
I not favorite, but I enjoyed this. It's two forty one,
but I just light the way. It's like you think it's his name?
What is? You always bring up? My point and my next question for
you, that one was actually one of my questions as well. What does
Fox now own the newest member of the club. It's the Wallso journal correct.
One more and one last question for you. How many banknotes are in
the stripper's G string when when Moe is enjoying a bit of battle entertainment.
Oh, I'm going to say six. There are three? Three. I
need to lift the game. You're not shaking it. You're not checking that
money maker? No, no, no, all right. So the original
air day of Trios of Horror eighteen was November fourth, two thousand and seven.
Production code j ab F one six, written by Mark Willmore and directed
by Chuck Sheets. I guess appears by Maurice Lamash again apparently indeed saw his
name in the credits. Did her voice in this? You should, says
Maurice LaMarsh as someone does. But he's getting so familiar around Simpsons HQ and
just said he's in the show a lot from now, right, maybe he's
doing more than one boys. Maybe maybe so. All right, So the
episode kicks off with Mars doing an intro and I quite like this because it's
just a a bit of nostalgia for me, because the Transport episodes used to
always begin with Marge saying, put the kids away, it's gonna be more
violent. You don't want to watching this, And as a kid watching it,
he sort of went, I'm gonna watch it anyway, but thanks for
the hands up. It sort of prepared you for Okay, this isn't going
to be a normal Simpsons. Yeah, you don't necessarily have to follow the
trigger warning, but sometimes it's nice to have a trigger. Yeah. Yeah.
And see she kills up or cuts up all the various promos it his
prison, break House House twenty four and Monday Night Football yeah of some kind.
Yeah, and then she chops on and puts me in the meatloaf and
Homer eats them. So the first segment is et go home, and I
remember being super excited for this. I'll bet you were Marge's cooking burnt cream.
Burnt cream. I thought, here, guys not gonna appreciate her use
of the term caramelize, and so I've always said caramelized. Yeah, our
American friends seem to have taken the A out of caramel and they've put it
in paraplegic, because I'm hearing a lot of Americans say he's a paraplegic,
really paraplegic? Yeah? Is that the same as people who say bisketty just
it could just have said it that way their whole life and you can't tell
them otherwise. It's it's possible. It's like me trying to get my head
around the fact that it's not Segar. It's Sega my entire life. I've
always said Segar, That's just how it's written, right, But Nicola's like,
no, it's Sega. And I've had other notes it's Sega. I'm
thinking, is it? Yeah? Okay, have you not listened to that
House of Song where it's like as if he lay but but it sounds like
he says Sega, as if my name was Sega. Is it my name
was Sega? Sega, Sega? Anyway, my whole off I've said Segar.
So now I'm going to try and train my brain to go No,
it's Sagan, like an idiot. Yeah, what do I say? Sagan?
Now? It just feels wrong, It feels weird. Yeah. Do
you think it'd be as popular if his name was Stephen Siegeal? No?
No cigar again again? Oh my goodness, I don't believe anymore. But
she sends Bardett to get some butane. My god, an alien in our
butteen storage shed cloth to But is that your space name? No? You
hit me in my seven hundred testicles? Why did you come to our world?
My friends? And I came in peace to find your vulnerabilities and shore
them up with more peace. Yes, then I was accidentally left behind,
you know, spirit up peace basically, you know from the get go he's
not going to be here to actually bring peace. Yeah. I think that
was another issue that I have with you to go home, is that it's
it's I know they've only got a few minutes to set it all up,
but it's just so blatant from the jump that he's the bad guy. There's
no twisters. Yeah, and there's no should have been a twist letter on
it, should should be playing up? No, he's he's eight. It's
basically the same story. And all of a sudden, when we think Et
is good, no, or you just get these subtle hints there was like
when have a good reason? He could have had, you know when the
in the movie when the government comes to take him away. So basically the
government come and they said it, but no, this isn't the first time
one of these these people have come to this world. You just have not
you haven't known about it. These guys are here to kill us. And
he's like, no way, I don't believe you. And then he turns
on Bart. Yeah, or Bart has been so or Bart convinces him to
turn on his own race or something. Always been so indoctrinated by Et that
he could be as blatant as he likes about we're here to destroy the planet
and you know enslavey all blah blah blah. No, oh what but he's
my friend. He's clearly lying. His gun falls out. He says it's
deerdorant, so he shoots himself and hurts himself. Then Bart shows off his
toys, which is one of my favorite scenes in ET when he's just basically
just said to Henry Thomas, here's a bunch of toys on the table.
Talk to Et as if you're just found it alien. I'm like, it
just feels very real. Spielbeg. The way he directed that film, it
was just perfect, the sense there. It's one of a kids perspective.
The entire film. You never see an adult's face until the end, except
for the mother. It's always from like the waist down when it comes from
an adult, but it's just he let the kids be kids. Yeah,
so good with kid actors. Spilberg, I mean, it was really he
may still be one of his great traits. But yeah, discovering Henry Thomas
the way he did bringing Christians that audition tape is unbelievable. It's really incredible.
Yeah, I mean I think we've talked about it more than once on
the show, but yeah, find it on YouTube, and yeah, just
have a look at a little star being born, because I mean, I'm
stoked that Henry Thomas is still working. You know, he's just had a
really never became like a huge star or anything like that, but he's just
worked consistently all the way through, and he's realized now he can work the
concertcut. He's working the concircuit like a madman and making all the money for
us. So good for him getting all the moneies well down, Henry t
Yes, so. But he's showing off all the toys and we see the
who is Jim Hatelman? Is that just because it's like it's a local car
deal. I don't know where it was actual person in real life, but
you had him. He's the bubble head who has a weak neck? Do
all humans have weak next? Is what he asks. Then Lisa enters,
which is meant to be a take of when Drew Barronmore's character walks in the
season Yes, Gertie, which was a scener scare the shit out of me
as a kid. Oh, he goes yes, yeah, yeah, the
net goes up and everything. But Lisa enters and she's, oh my god,
she's not scared of him at all. She's going to show off and
show and tell. And Bart says he can't do it because the scientists will
want to dissect him, and then he sings this really weird song. I
only hope those scientists leave me my mouth, so I may spread my message
of piece through song. Pee peace, peace, peace from space. Not
funny at all. It's weird as I was just watching his going this is
disappointing. But he says he wants to phone home, and he gives them
a list of things that he needs. He needs uranium two, three,
five, seven billion body bags. I liked it. The seven body bags.
Kids want they kid want to help him out when he's building the They
think the phone. But so he throws the wrench for Bart to go get
a stract him away, sends Lisa to go locations for the military defense locations
which are in the New Yorker yesterday, and then Homer joins Codos in the
show. What do you think of this scene? This was somewhat bizarre a
little. Yes, there was a line here where he says, I take
that silence as always science means it yes. And I was like that a
rape gag no means yes. Homer not exactly down with the consent. But
he gives him a massage. Someone's taking the Hobite to the danger zone.
Not unfunny, and realized that it's not Marge and Marsha's we have to we
can't house this alien anymore. He has to leave, and he thinks it's
because he's Jewish, and the tricks tricks. Marge goes, look, I'm
not touching that. You can stay. Then the government arrive and they want
you to take me away because his name is actually codas to the destroyer.
But Homer has a plan and let me throw something on. I like that.
We know it's Where is it, ma'am? We have reason to believe
that you're harboring an alien. Open this door at once. Oh, I'm
not decent. Let me throw something on. Can I help you? Gentlemen?
We know what's you mister Simpson? Now where's the alien? Whoa?
You guys are good aliens right here in the living room. You missed them
bagging our alien friend are hundreds of miles away by now what do you weigh?
Like a million pounds more of me to love? After them? The
self? You rise again? So they're going slowly? Are they chase them?
And the et music is playing as they're running away? Did we get
a flying bit? I don't think we did. No, I think do
they attempt to? So there's the scene in the movie where the army or
whatever else got guns and that's when he takes over them. But in the
reboot or the re release, it Spillbear did well. Another thing about the
changing the gun guns to walking talking and then changing the back to guns.
Yeah, you know what I shouldn't do is touch my masterpiece. Some things
don't need to be fixed. Yeah, it's a product of its time.
How about we just fucking leave it by Stevie Big Steve for his lady's lesson
was yeh, talk to your friend, George. Please talk to your buddy.
George Lucas still to this day don't understand in twenty twenty four how we
haven't had an official release of the original release of Star Wars. Well,
it makes no sense. George was at the talk about mispronunciation can or cann
film versas. I'm gonna say, can't I just say cahn kid? Yeah,
I think it might be cans, but not cans hits those cans,
Uh. George Lucas being George Lucas, he rocked up to this, you
know, premiere, prestigious European film event in a Flanner, in a Flanneer.
Of course he did. George being George, And I think it's o
something along the lines of like it's an artist prerogative to change their work as
they see fits. So yeah, I don't think we're getting get tweaked divisions
forever. Yes, that's fine, but you've never given us the original in
high definition. Give us whatever versions you want, buddy, but we still
want the original as well. None of us are hoping or wishing for George
Lucas to fall off the purge anytime soon. But he doesn't own Star Wars.
Here's no right, no saying it anyway now, isn't he all?
I think? Yeah, Disney is probably showing a bit of noble so bleached
by say well, well bye, by your wishes, George, and then
as soon as he's gone, he's like Originas. They were one hundred percent
realism in the cinema. That'll be it's milk, Hey, Mark, do
you want to drink some more milk? Waiting for someone to make a meme
of you? Mark Hamill milking that god awful creature from last year. He's
like Disney original you the public we laugh at we will take. If they
said real list individuals in the cinema, I'm there, Oh yeah, I
am in line, and like we're going to give you the originals in forecast
second mom So, yeah, so they're getting away, they see the army
in front of them instead of flying over, and this time that has shoot
them and killed them. And Bart's like, wait a minute, you just
killed them. Yeah, yeah, this is where the heel turn should have
been. That's exactly what that should have been, where you go, wait
a minute, he is a bad guy. Is the army's actually right here?
Yeah, but no, they made it too obvious from the beginning.
So they started the device and actually a phone, it's a portal. He's
tricked them here even that could have been that that should have been the gun
shooting there should have been the first going wait a minute here, And then
he really reveals no this entire time because there was no shock in this moment,
was there not at all? Because you saw it coming man, Yeah,
it was so bizarre. But he's let the portal open up all the
aliens to come through, and then Homer just arrives roundom Me in a helicopter
with everyone and they just start shooting them all straight away. Yeah. Now,
what was the point I'm thinking of. They didn't get the upper hand
adult they came to the portal and just died. This is mostly an ET
parody, but I'm trying to remember if at the end of Independence Day,
I mean, it's all it's all soldiers, isn't I mean, you don't
have any Although yeah, Randy Quad is flying one of them, isn't he
He's the one that saves the day? He does. Yeah. I'm wondering
if it was sort of eating assholes. Oh god, I'm wondering if it
was sort of a take on that where it's like, oh, you know,
every day humans are coming to say the day and everybody wants to take
part, and you know, save it's just with the military. That's just
with the military. No, okay, get home there and then and then
is shooting them all the codos tries to trick Bart Bart friend and Homas's home
on board and he shoots him, and then we get them dissecting him.
But it's not a dissection. Is a vivisection. It's a vivisection, which
it's cruel and black. I find it kind of funny. I would I
would buy it in another scenario, or even in a properly executed version of
this scenario, you know, where it's like, oh, no, we're
you know, we're welcoming people to our planet and blah, and we're always
going to look out for you know, our alien friends, and no vivisecting.
Yeah, but then Homer just smothers him with a pillow and that's that.
It was so at You should see the look of disappointment on Dande's phone
because ET is one of my favorite endings of all time. Like when you
think of feel good, send the audience home, happy endings, doesn't get
much better than ET, not a whole lot. It's and I love the
way that Spielberg knew that that was the moment to end it, even though
it's a bittersweet because you know, the friends are separating, but he's going
home. Yes there's an alternate ending, not alternate, but they actually had
a different ending which they cut at the last minute. Of the kids used
to have the rainbow bit right. It takes from the rainbow and cast to
Henry Thomas's face. He's looking up of a big smile. Then it would
fade to them playing dungeons and drags where it was in the garage again,
and it pans up to the roof and the phone that he built on the
roof and it's it's communicating still and he's like he's still communicating with et Stillberg
was smut off to go, No, that's the crescendo. Let's end it
there. We don't need let people make it up for themselves. Very very
important to stick stick the ending because I'm me. I rewatched Robo Cop the
other night and that just ends so perfectly because I have not watched it yet.
Okay, well I'm not going to say anything. Okay, great ending
if you know, you know, okay, yeah, because it doesn't.
It doesn't fuck around. It's just like this is it. This is the
end. Yeah, credits because the way the way they end et you are
left going, oh, I wonder if he does get touch again. It's
nice. Well yeah. A good version of that alternate ending is in The
Iron Giant. Yes exactly. It's like, oh no, he's been blown
apart. I've learned a lesson and you know, all this kind of stuff,
and he yeah, he went out like Superman Superman. Yeah, good
god, such a great movie. He's like behind you, yeah, hey,
g my boy. But then to have at the end of that,
yeah, a touch of hope. Yes, Oh that's nice. Yeah,
yeah, that's good. So we cat to the next segment. It's mister
and Missus Simpson and the therapy. As you said that said the film starts.
I can remember it now that you've said that. I'm sitting on the
couch annoyed with each other. You see, the problem is we've grown apart.
The problem is you don't share my interest in not being with you.
Good line. I think it's a pretty good line. Home at night though,
he's put the curtain to the bathroom and mister Burns is there, and
he thinks he's been all secretive that marsh doesn't know about all thistuff, which
she doesn't know about it. I but she's living the double life as well.
And he says that he wants him to kill Kent Brockman because he found
him dumping Letricity in the gully to jack up the prices. Seems him just
dump Lightning Bolts. I thought, that's so stupid, but so funny.
I'm buying this. Yeah, it's so outrageous. As we've said many times
before, it transposed that gag and put it in like season seven. Yeah,
it's pretty funny. Yeah, that's been Bolts. That's nicely absurd.
Yes, yeah, yeah, Homer says, you know, I'm going to
be home late tonight, and she says so will she And have fun doing
your crazy sounding thing. Meanwhile, at the Springfield Tuxeda Owners honor of Kent
Brockman, Homer arrives with his sniper and all I have to do is think
of for clever line, but don't have to say by myself taking the mickey
of action films. Absolutely, I don't get why do we fall for that?
Is it just because it's just fun cinema? It is? And I
was talking with friend of the pod Charlie Clawson the other day. We're doing
a a few bits on his podcast about nineties action movies, but we're talking
about Diehard Too, and sudden that, yeah, I'm to remember this came
up. But you know Bruce Willison in Diehard Too, he's on the wing,
he's in his last fight with the Final Boss or whatever. He's about
to kick him off, and he says something like he says, yippyk a
motherfucker, which has become the unofficial catchphrase of Diehard of the die Hard franchise.
It works in die Hard one because they've been having the whole cowboy thing
going on. What He never alludes to it at all in Diehard Too,
but he just says at the end because I'm sure that the studio said,
you know, Bruce, they really they really liked it when he said,
yipp ka, motherfucker was okay, fine, we'll give you an extra two
million, do okay? Fine? You could have asked for anything for Diehard
too, right, don't you? Reckon? I was because he got five
million for die Hard one and he only got seven and a half million for
Dieharden. Really only seven and a half. You think it'd be at least
double, you think so. I don't know how much he got for the
rest, but it's probably obscene amounts. He probably got. Jake Paul money
prime prime mans. You would drink a Bruce Willis energy drink right, Oh,
I drink Bruno. I drink Bruce Willis prune juice called Bruno Bruno.
Another idea, that's make it happen. Let let's make it happen. Bruce
gonn't hang on note, oh boy, cut that out, zact. I'm
honestly going to try some prime. Yeah. Well, I've been told because
I will telling us about what's the taste, Like I said, it's kind
of kind of like a like a milky energy drink. Like it's it's not
like your Gatorway is thicker than that. I was like, oh, okay,
okay, I don't want some, but it sounds like soilent. Yeah,
I don't know, but it's huge. People love it so but it's
also because it's associated with Jeep par as well and Logan Paul. So anyway,
try something. Let us know the next episode what will what will the
four finger Discount energy Drink be called? We'll come back to him next week.
We'll be a good title. Also, you guys do that take ad
mom to these new email addresses? Yeah, mailbag at four figure discount dot
com dot au. So basically, the woman gets in the way when he
tries to kill Ken Brockman, and out of the way mystery skank, she
shanks Ken Brockman. It's like, oh my, and it turns out well,
he shoots random people here and ends up shooting the wig off of her.
I thought there was a visual here where he shoots a guy in the
head and the blood fills up the glasses. There is that is violent?
That is Yeah, he's Champagne found. Yeah, she throws an injustart at
her first, Missus n gets in the head. Then he shoots the wig
off and well we can tell here that as Marge. But he gets home
and I like that the wig has a hole in it. Me, I
made you my killer, Lasonia. It's poison. Whatever you do, don't
eat it. Okay you're already eating it, but don't finish it. Okay,
you finished it, but don't ask for a tucking please you moron,
just killer. I'll kill her after dessert. You're a killer for haiha.
You ruined that pie. I just enjoyed that. I thought it was simple,
but it felt like classic Homer. And then basically they realize here that
they're both assassins and they try to kill each other. That's pretty much happens
in the film. Just a big shoot off, a big fight. Absolutely
yeah, which yeah, I mean, I'm not sure how it played back
in two thousand and whenever, when I mean, because it's pretty violent in
mister and missus Smith when they're actually kicking the shit out of each other.
Here's another simpsonized version. You didn't tell me, I did. I told
you twenty times, but they've cut bits out of the mister and missus Smith
fire directly into the mister. Certainly the bit where Home is kicking the couch.
I mean, yeah, that's Brad kicking Angelina Jolie. Yeah, I
did like him kicking the catch. That was pretty funny because your favorite couch,
That's why I'm kicking it. Then Marsha's basically she makes fifty k for
every job, and he only gets what he finds in the guy's wallet,
and then he kicks the couch and then the kids come down. I think
they're fighting over them. But whatever we did, we're sorry. And I
was like, that's a really sad line. Whatever we did with sorry,
Yeah, because kids blame themselves, you know these things. Homer suggests they
get ice cream. Then Wigham arrives, Marge shoots him, and they make
love over his corpse. That not happen in the movie to the best of
my recollection, but he says, I love walk before that before they make
love. I love watching you do other guys. I love seeing you do
other I love seeing you do another guy sometime too. And I was like,
oh shit, holy moly, there's fun bits. That's a pretty raunchy
line for the Simpsons. I've seen you do other guys. Between that and
Codo is putting a tentacle where the sun doesn't shots yea the danger zone,
a little racy. Yeah yeah so that yeah, sex with Wigham's corpse.
Things turn things have turned up now for the sex life. And it turns
out that it's not another Simpsons version, another Simpsons eyes version of the other
of the movie. It's not therapy, it's shit his office and they shoot
Skinner. Also where Homer said, all right, let's let's make a deal.
I'll do the killing for her. Used to with the kids. So
you enjoyed it more than you thought I did that. I just tho that
segment in particular was really stood out for me. So now it's heck house
and we get the trick or treating that Agnes. Agnes is just a cow,
but I love her for it. She just gives no fucks. Here's
Candy right here, just spits in his bag. I was like, holy
ship woman did they be like holy? What the fuck? But it leads
into something very very important, very valuable, but has a real point regarding
trick or treat I mean, I think we've forgotten the actual meaning of the
same exactly. Yeah. I mean if you don't get treated, then you
get tricked. Ye. No, yeah, if I don't get treated,
you get trick. It's just it's it's just become a new version of how
to say hello on halloweens. No, no trick or treat. Yeah,
we're about to make a deal, treat or ship on your doorst and not
my shit. Probably maybe we said shit or treat people, go Jesus,
treat much a treat, candy your crap? Yeah, she empty bagged us.
Why do we do now, hear me out. Seems to me we
gave her a choice trick or treat. She didn't give us a treat.
So Bart, where are you heading with this? Trick or treat isn't just
some phrase you chant mindlessly like the Lord's prayer. It's an oral contract.
You're right, we've forgotten the old ways, the ways of rotten eggs and
soaked up windows. I say we trick her, trick her good. Yes,
then we get the montage with let's scrape up from the Ramones one of
Holly's favorite songs. Oh for real, Holly fucking loves the Ramones. That
and rockaway Bach. She just loves them. Lets we broke to some one
that starts with hay har let's it's this song? Yeah, hey, oh,
let's go. She calls it AO, Let's go. Yeah, good
honor. That's so easy to sing along too, that the rest of us
just goes eh, oh yeah, well I never knew the lyrics. Oh,
let's go. The kids love it, mate, al right, get
on to get onto. Judy was a punk, now got onto the Beatles.
Guess what her favorite song is? Is it Tomorrow? Never knows?
No, it's baby You're a rich Man. I'm like, one of the
most obscure fucking songs, one of my favorite songs. That's so stupid,
that song, but it's so great and it reminds me of the end of
the Social Network when he realizes, yeah, oh fuck, I'm rich now.
Yeah. But she just sits that she baby are a bitch. She
loves it. Holy give a little rock star mate. Nice? That so
t rex Mark Bowlin, The Beatles, and the remains of her three favorites.
Holy, my three requests that every time we get in the car,
You've done well. She throws out wheels on the bus and I'm like,
bitch, we passed that ship, we ran that bus off the rule.
So Springfield is now mostly destroyed by the kids trick or treating or just tricking,
and everyone's off screwed. They're annoyed. They go to Homer's house to
vent their anger. Finally we get a fucking Spider Pig reference. So you're
taking you what five episodes? He should be part of the show, now
you think so, Well, maybe they realized a little spider Pig goes a
long way. Yeah, but he still needs to If it's just in the
background, just acknowledge, just acknowledge that the movie existed, you know.
And how would you feel if, at some stage during this tree House of
Horror one in the not too distant future, the Simpsons are enjoying a lovely
pork chops meal it turns out to be Spider pick. I wouldn't like it?
Okay, would you like it? Again? Depends on how it's executed
and mean, if it's if it's just a non cannontry house of horror,
so be it. But I don't think you can have canon where they home
ends up eating Spider pick. I don't know, have it as like a
is it Hannibal with feed the Brain, feeding a pig pork. That's it's
a bit. Yeah, south Park can get away with Scott Tenement must Dike
coming up soon, Yeah, going down to South Park. I believe it
may be up now if you're a supporter on Patreon. If you're not,
depending on when you're hearing this. Well, we're not fans of Laura and
Canon four figured this game, but yeah, continuity. Mitch did write a
We worked together on it. I pitched your idea and he sort of ran
with it for our book. I was obnestly back in twenty seventeen when the
book came out, we wrote our own traus of horror segments and it was
Jurassic Pork and Spider Pig gets cloned and then in the end, Homer has
to eat all of the clones. Yeah, so it's kind of kind of
like that. Yeah. I remember reading that recently, went back in the
tins. It was last transpar and I'm reading these segments, going, these
are better than anything I've watched this year in trans Drussy Pork would work all
right, Well, you're in touch with Bill, Yeah, he probably still
knows someone at the Bill Oakley, no it's funny. Someone asked him this
week, we were you bought him for the Simpsons movie, and he goes,
no, if there's a Simps sequel, would you be borting as we
would one hundred percent not be brought in because we haven't worked on the show
for twenty five years. How the fuck would I know what the show is
doing these days? Because he says he doesn't watch a show anymore. He's
just He openly states, I don't I have notion with the Simptons anymore.
Too busy steaming those hands? What a what? Like? It's just crazy
how the world works. For twenty years, his association with the Simpsons was
just forgotten. You know, it was just not forgotten. That's the wrong
term. But you know, if you're a fan, you knew, right.
But because of steamed Hams in the mean culture of that, he's built
an entire career on that. He now has a think of the Steamed ham
society does like he's well, like, that's just crazy, hout mean culture
has helped this guy create a new way of life. We should get to
work on some memes, Yeah, falling discap memes. Yeah, let's wrap
up this this hack house though, so basically they've they've been ruining everybody.
Homer's head goes at Spider PEG's arse. I'm like, that's going to be
painful for the pig. I get there and then we're meant to go,
Oh geez, how terrible for Home. So this poor pick has a head
and its anus. It's entire bodies and compassed by Home's head. Now a
lot of a lot of rectal humor this episode, but which I mean two
incidents Flannder's office. He's helped though and arrive at hack House, and he
really like goes all the way with it, doesn't he? Oh yeah,
that's I mean, yeah, yeah, I mean these hell houses they tend
to go all out. Yeah, scaring cats, not wanted. But I
love that he puts his welcome to eternal darrination. Yes, got a kick
out of it, and he asked because it's not working. He goes,
oh God, grab me the power to psychologically torture them. Meant to loving
you and now it's hell house and basically showing off the results of the seven
Deadly sins. And don't forget that great line when he died as he lived.
Oh hang on, is it? Nelson he says that he died as
he lived like a dog. I think that might have been Nelson, but
I know someone says here, but no, it was Lisa. Lisa,
I have tried to warn you yet I've been punished just as severe. But
they show the results of the seven Deadly Sins. It just felt like it
just didn't go off the rails a bit, and I just thought, what
are we doing here? Yeah, I don't know. So they're showing gluttony
time with a spaghetti turns into spaghetti. There is one vi here that was
pretty gruesome. So the anger is Willy Pride is him being something run over
a truck. Yeah, hivot, he gets run over a truck sloth.
This is Homer laying down on the hammock and he slices through it. Oh
yeah, that was Nahly And then Lusk greed Envy all. I like that
they fit all the last three in to mow and the kids then all agree
to only pray and fight in wars, and Fanners says that we're gonna be
going to help for watching Fox. The Fox now is Fox Sports FX and
the Wall Street Journal. Welcome to the club. And that's the end of
the episode. So definitely for me, mister mister Simpson was the best segment.
ET was a I'm not gonna say a complete disappointment, but it's just
the disappointing factor of it was the fact that you know that they could have
done so much more with it. We literally had not brainstormed anything prior to
recording today, and we come up with like six or seven I reckon at
least better ideas, just a better concept in general. Yeah, either for
the for a segment or within the second if you have a twist, if
we do say so ourselves that we came up with better yea, because if
you're gonna have the twist factor of him being actually evil not good like ET
was build up to that fool less with the twist, Yeah, I mean,
and we may not even be fool I mean, I think we're gonna
We're gonna know going in that it's a treehouse of horror. It's not going
to be a direct tribute to ET. It's probably gonna have a twist.
So but still do it do it anyway? What do we learn? What
you learn from the episode of Davis, Uh that monkey manness is good at
any time, but midnight Monkey madness is the best it is. Indeed,
I learned that spiced up the marriage. Maybe Nick and I need to start
getting funky on a corpse or you know, performing assassinations for money. Forward,
your names will be okay, it is the new Name Championship. You
can't lead. The board stands at this In first position, we have Carl
muldoon and Adam Willhouse both on five points, Phil Hawkins on four points and
second position, and Jared Hornby David both on three points in third position.
Take it away, it's a race. Okay, let's see how we go
after these new names. One point and we're gonna name each segment. People
do very well. One point goes to Eat Go Band, Fatal Attraction and
seven Deadly Simpsons. Okay, so those ones belong to a newbie for the
leader board this year. Another newbie, Dave McNally, Well done, McNally.
Which one's Pretzels again? Day is Dave? Dave Pretzel's pretts mcnelley,
Yeah, yeah, it's Pretzels. Yeah, all right. Two points goes
to Blurst Contact. Oh, get further ahead, it's Adam Wolhouse. Oh
oh, okay, we're gonna I'm gonna say all of them though, Okay,
I was looking if I saw the first one neck first contact stop or
my wife will shoot and haunted flanchin flat is very good? Actually the ones
in there so two points. Yeah, Adam Wihouse. That puts him now
seven points out right first. Okay, let's see who gets the three point
poins et my shorts pretty good, hit Man and wife seven doodlely sins seven
doodlely sins is also very good. I think that was a pretty good lineup
across the board. Who gave us though? So the ledboard now stands at
this third position. We have Jared Hornby and David Mott on three clever Kyle
is in second position and first position tired now Adam Wilhouse and Philip J.
Hawkins on seven points. You got the three there, Nice work, PJH.
So Philip J. Howgens is now at the jaback the Phillip. He's
equal first with Adam Willhouse on seven points, Kyle Muldoon in second, and
Jared Hornby and David Mott both on three points. One on everyone who's getting
who got the names on the leaderboard this week? Nice work team? Yes?
