Speaker 1: Welcome back to Danielle with the Stars. I am Danielle Fischel, your podcast host, but also a TV director, a mom of two, and a former actress who the world knows as Tapanga in the same way that Al Yankovic is weird Al. But nowadays I am solely responding to the title of ballroom dancer because I am competing on the thirty fourth season of Dancing with the Stars. And while I practice for multiple hours a day, seven days a week, I'm still recording this show all about my experience in hopes that a young girl might be listening and she learns that she too can be an ABC Family sitcom star and then thirty years later, participate in a reality competition show. And yes, I'm using this podcast to levy an advantage and to search for the tricks of the trade by talking to pros, former contestants, and even some of my peers, because you can't spell experience without peer sort of. And today I am chatting with the two members of my Dancing with the Stars alliance, lovingly called Delaniella and Pasha. You're you're the ying to our yang, my no prior dance experience. Pal and the beloved life partner to my pro and as of this interview, they hold the season's highest score, clocking four ninees on Dedication Night, steadily climbing a mountain at a pace almost no one saw coming, but I did, and that's why we are aligned. So please Here is the winner of last season's Traders, and she is an Emmy nominated Blackpool and Mirror blee O Feed champion. Welcome Dylan Efron and Daniella Karra.

00:02:04
Speaker 2: Got what'r you?

00:02:07
Speaker 3: Have you done audiobooks? Like I would listen to any audiobook that.

00:02:10
Speaker 1: You could record a great idea, I have not the book. Well, guys, we did it. We have tried many a times to make this happen, but.

00:02:23
Speaker 4: Here we are. We're podcasting.

00:02:25
Speaker 3: That means this is a good week, because that means we have an hour to spare.

00:02:28
Speaker 1: It we when I have tried to explain to people, when people text to even just say hi, how are you doing, I don't really quite know how to explain to them what this schedule demands of you. If you're gonna take it very seriously, which you and I both are.

00:02:46
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a lot, and especially when you see it on the TV, it's like one dance in a package that looks like thirty seconds or whatever. But those packages you're filming every day for hours, and then you have like tens and then you have life. It's just like and fittings, multiple fittings, multiple rehearsals and black.

00:03:08
Speaker 1: I haven't even mentioned self care, like disappointment. I know red light there, I.

00:03:14
Speaker 3: Will come today.

00:03:16
Speaker 5: Exactly what am I going to do?

00:03:19
Speaker 2: Well?

00:03:20
Speaker 4: Dylan?

00:03:20
Speaker 1: I wanted to first talk to you about your decision to join Dancing with the Stars, because I think you would agree that you are a pretty reserved person. You have avoided the spotlight for most of your life, and yet here you are arguably the most difficult and vulnerable.

00:03:35
Speaker 4: Show on television. So what was the process like for you deciding to say yes?

00:03:40
Speaker 3: Yeah?

00:03:40
Speaker 5: I wasn't an immediate yes sometimes.

00:03:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, So I did Traders and after Traders, like luckily I did pretty well.

00:03:49
Speaker 4: And huh winning is doing pretty well?

00:03:51
Speaker 3: Yeah? So then so then I like proved myself that I could do it. But then I was like, Okay, what am I going to do next? And there was some interest in and then like I I kept hearing Dancing with the Stars and my initial in sect was just like, there is no chance I would do that. So then like I think, yeah, it was always in the back of my mind like what I actually and I was just like, no, there's no chance. So then the turning point was Dina invited me. Dina is a casting director. She also casted Traders. She asked me to lunch and I had lunch with her, and I heard her perspective of it, how it's a big family, and how it's really like proving to yourself you could do something that you thought you couldn't and all these things that I've promoted on social media for the last like ten years, like those things that are out of your comfort zone are the best things in life, like when you really are pushing used.

00:04:43
Speaker 4: Your own messages, shoes.

00:04:46
Speaker 3: So then I'm like, wow, I am being a hypocrite, Like I want to do something that's comfortable to me, Strategy Traders type thing. This is so uncomfortable. Maybe I should embrace it. And yeah, I'm very happy I did. But it was not like I been dreaming to be on the show. The opposite. It was like, until until that dinner, I thought I would never do the show.

00:05:08
Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, really smart. She knows what she's doing. She's no dummy. She's done this before, so I know. My younger brother, Chris, has often talked about what it's like to be the sibling of a famous person, and I never really feel great when I hear it. My brother tells stories of us going to dinner for his birthday and then people lining up at the table to ask for my autograph and to take pictures with me, and I just always feel like, man, that that must have not always felt great, But you seem to have had a really good attitude about it. And I mean, now you're nominated for People's Sexiest Man. So what were your feelings growing up as Zach's brother.

00:05:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, I have a weird perspective on it because I always looked up to him. He's my big brother. So he was four and a half years older than me. Yeah, so like when I'm twelve, he's sixteen and like getting fit. So I thought he's the strongest person ever, like yeah, muscles. I always thought he could beat up anyone. And then he goes on stage and was always the star in every play, like right, he could sing, he could dance. So I always just looked up to him and then it just kind of was natural that, like everybody else started looking up for him, right, So it was like it never felt weird, if any Like I always just felt grateful that for him, and then it was so cool to be a part of it, like I did to go to some of his premieres, and like he always invited me to travel, and like I started traveling at a young age and fell in love with it. Yeah, it's just like I'm so grateful he had that experience, and then I was happy to be a part of it.

00:06:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, it seems like in a pleasant way, it helped shape some of the ideals that you now have for your own life. I think about that with my own two kids. Adler is only two years older than his brother, Keaton, But when we had Keaton, the first thing I said was, I'm so excited that Adler's going to have a little brother who's going to look up to him and think he's a god, because Adler deserves that. And it sounds like that was a similar thing for you. Zach was the coolest and you just got to look up to him every year. Absolutely so, Danielle, your Dancing with the Stars record is truly impressive.

00:07:15
Speaker 4: Three. Oh no, oh no, we do three.

00:07:20
Speaker 1: Top three finishes in just five seasons, one of those a championship, and you won that trophy with someone who did not have any prior dance experience, and now you're excelling again with the same setup.

00:07:34
Speaker 4: What do you.

00:07:35
Speaker 1: Say to fans who think pros need ringers in order to compete.

00:07:41
Speaker 2: I've never had one, so right, just based off of experience. I love the whole process of watching someone with no dance experience truly learn the craft and the art of it, and in the end, first of all, build their confidence in it and also just shine because I feel like the whole season is about that. It's about you growing not only as a dancer, but as a person too. You're trying to get through these challenges with another human being. I mean, you're used to doing this on your own, and to do this with another person is a whole other animal. So you build trust, You build your connection, trust in terms of not even just the dance, but like emotionally yeah, but physically too, Like when you're tired and the last thing you want to do is dance and get up and work hard. It takes two people to kind of work together to get through it.

00:08:31
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:08:31
Speaker 2: So I love the process of the whole thing of you not knowing how to do this and then all of a sudden shining in your own light and becoming this dancer.

00:08:42
Speaker 1: When you first started, did you notice because one of the things to me, that's the just still crazy. And I know we're only this is week six, we're only six weeks into it, but like, it's shocking to me how day one you're like, I will never get there. Day two you're like, nope, I'm still never going to get there. And day three you're like, oh my gosh, I think I'm finally starting to maybe understand this. And then by the time you're doing the show, you're like, yeah, I feel pretty good about this.

00:09:08
Speaker 2: I'm doing it.

00:09:08
Speaker 4: I'm doing it and it's.

00:09:10
Speaker 1: Not as hard as it was just even five days ago when you first started. There's no guide book or rule book or teach your handbook. When you first started doing this, did you have to learn to trust the process too or did you just expect that that's what it was going to be like because you've been a dancer your whole life.

00:09:28
Speaker 2: No, I definitely my first season experienced learning how.

00:09:34
Speaker 4: To be patient Okay.

00:09:35
Speaker 2: That is something I was never good at, and teaching kids obviously taught me patients, but also with another person who is older or my age whatever it is like trusting a partner is one thing, but also having patients to keep reminding yourself that this person has never danced before and like for you to just be like, well, straighten your leg already. They don't know what to do, you know, so it a lot of patience and understanding of how to kind of, you know, have them develop. But I've been doing this for so long for me, it's kind of like second nature that I've been teaching kids and adults for I don't know, over ten years before the show. So I have a certain method that I go by, and I think ballroom dancing is one of those really technical, heavy styles that if you have done it in the past and you've known the ins and out of it, it's much easier because you do have a technique book. There is an actual fundamental book that kind of guides you through it, and if you know it, you kind of know the easy fixes. So that truly helped me with the whole Dancing with the Stars process of how to like break things down for someone who's never done it before.

00:10:47
Speaker 4: Great, but it's hard.

00:10:49
Speaker 2: It's definitely hard because every season is a new person, and every new person is so different from the other, and sometimes one person takes critique great the other person can't have any critique and finding ways to not only be a teacher but a therapist, like finding ways to make them still feel good.

00:11:05
Speaker 1: But but I'm not talking about you.

00:11:12
Speaker 2: Pass. Actually, you're one of the easiest person people I've ever dealt with on the show because he wants to do this properly and he doesn't want to just do it the easy way.

00:11:24
Speaker 4: He's a self starter.

00:11:27
Speaker 2: Yeah, he just wants to do it to his best ability, and that's all I could ask for.

00:11:31
Speaker 3: I will it is like thinking back to our first few days. I'm sure you felt the same, but that feeling that we'll never get there. I do think Danny was really good about like I'm telling you, when I first started, it was bad. So like I would see how she even arm movements like finishing an arm and I do it like a little bit, but she would be like, oh, Okay, you're going to be good at this dance, and like she would she could see things that I obviously wasn't seeing when I looked in the mirror, but she was like very quick to be like, oh, okay, this is going to be good for you, like, oh, I can work with that, and like she find these like to me, it was like a two out of ten, and she'd be like that can get to it, like right, So it's cool to like she had faith in me before I had faith in me.

00:12:13
Speaker 1: This podcast little team building team building activity, Dylan, tell me what Danielle's best trait as a partner is.

00:12:26
Speaker 5: The best trait is a partner, I know a single best I'm.

00:12:32
Speaker 1: Coming to you next, so you better start thinking about what his best trait is.

00:12:35
Speaker 3: So I think it's it's when I'm thinking of like the single thing it would be. I think it's honestly that I have so much trust and confidence in her, Like I know that she's not only one of the best choreographers, but like she's going to like she's going to work her off until it's to the good spot. So like for me, it's a I know that I'm not gonna waste time doing something that isn't gonna work or something. It's like I think that truly is the feeling it is like, I know what she's gonna give me is gonna work, so I have to do my best to do it, and like, I just have confidence in her. I think that's the best part of the relationship. That answered it.

00:13:18
Speaker 4: I totally know what you mean.

00:13:20
Speaker 1: It's like you obviously, the thing I love so much about you is that you are so very clearly just a hard worker without somebody needing to tell you it's gonna be hard. It's like you are willing to put in every single second necessary to be the best you can be. And the good thing is you already know she's exactly the same way, so you're not working with someone that you're like, I need you to push me more. I need you to challenge me more, Like you don't you get that's saving so much time just knowing you have the same work ethic. It's a great partnership for sure.

00:13:51
Speaker 2: And that's exactly what my favorite thing is is that I don't have to pull teeth for him to be here. He wants to be here, yeah, But also because he's so admitted into this process, it makes it so much easier for me to be like, Okay, we need an extra hour, Like do you think we can do an extra hour somewhere like just to solidify this And he's like, yep, great, you know. So it's not like, oh, do you think we can work harder here and him just being like no, no. And I've had that in the past where we have four hour rehearsals and we're done after two and they're like, oh, I'm done. So I've worked with many, many people and very different people, and that's why that's one of my favorite things. Is because we're so similar in the in the work ethic, it makes it so much easier.

00:14:35
Speaker 3: That's what makes it fun for me. Is like when I see the choreo each week, like she's putting in things like are you kidding me? Like, how do you expect me to do that? But I love this. She's not She's not like, oh, he can't turn left, so I'm not going to do any laughs. Like she never feels I never feels like she's sacrificing what she wants to make me have an easier go at it. So I love the challenge of it.

00:14:58
Speaker 6: I love them well.

00:15:13
Speaker 1: This is a perfect transition into four Nines Dedication night, Yes, Dylan, you danced for and with your little sister Olivia. It was a contemporary to rewrite the stars. Did you both know going into that night that what you had was really special?

00:15:32
Speaker 2: For me, looking back, it was like their moment. I wanted to make sure that they had their moment and she was a start, you know, And for me that was special. But I didn't realize how much of an impact our actual dance was to many people, which to me, when I'm choreographing, I'm not thinking about anybody but him making him look good. So to hear that feedback not only from the judges but like from other people, yeah, was very meaningful. So it was really nice. But I don't know. For me, it was just going in. I just I had you guys together, and for me that was special.

00:16:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, there was something to it where it was like the first time that didn't feel like we were trying that I was trying to like perform. It was more like we like earned this moment with our family on stage. It was like, let's do the best we can. And it didn't feel like I was like taking a test and trying to get straight a's. It was like I was just out there enjoying this moment with Danie Olivia, and I think maybe that's why I translated, so I didn't know. I did not think we were going to get four nines. But I knew the music was powerful. I knew my sister was going to crush it. So it's as long as we go out there and do what we've done in practice, I think it's going to go well.

00:16:43
Speaker 1: Like I'm not doing another rehearsal without her all the time, I do want to talk about the fact that you gifted her a little wishbone necklace from your jewelry line. Let's talk about your jewelry line for a second, because it's stunning and amazing, dainty by Dka right, and you gifted her that wishbone necklace. And that night after the performance, I saw her standing around. She came to say hi, and she was just holding She's just holding and playing with her little necklace.

00:17:10
Speaker 4: It was so sweet.

00:17:12
Speaker 1: Tell me about your jewelry line, because you are a jewelry girlie like I am. When did you start the line?

00:17:19
Speaker 2: Started it because I have this is so stupid, but I have an allergic reaction to like coded things like gold plated, so I would get like rashes from jewelry and growing up like I didn't have the means to own real things, you know, so my mom worked three jobs for me to have one discelence in a week. So it wasn't like I would go and ask for gold jewelry, you know, right. And I always said that if I had, like if I had the potential to ever start my own business, that would be like my first thing and go to. And my best friend's dad is a jeweler, and my best friend just got married recently to a guy who we've been teaching for so long, Yashik, Yeah, and we're all became really best friends. And he was like, do you want to just start something because you know, your Emily has her dad's business and she can definitely like cook you up with a factory. I was like, yeah, yeah, And that's something I've dropped up my whole life. I love designing and just making things that are not too like overpriced for other people who have the same thing I did. And that was a big thing for me, is just creating jewelry that was dainty like me, but also affordable for people who need it or can't like afford crazy high end jewelry. So that was my biggest thing.

00:18:34
Speaker 1: Fine jewelry for people who don't have massive budgets. I but it's all real fortune exactly fine jewelry.

00:18:44
Speaker 3: It's like very like when I put it next to any other gold jewelry I have, it's like so shiny compared to it.

00:18:51
Speaker 4: I look at you with a paper clip necklace. I like it.

00:18:57
Speaker 1: So you guys started off the season with Milkshake and Macarina chose songs that do not scream ballroom or either of you nervous starting off two sort of pollical tracks.

00:19:11
Speaker 3: Definitely, So if the strategy in that, since we're in an alliance, was that, like I knew that I had never danced in my life before, so what can I do to and performed again? Like holding a mic was the first time I did. It was after Traders. They gave me a mic to like stand at a panel, and I'm just like what hell, yeah, I'm still that way. So then I knew I just had to go out there and almost like just be funny, like put on a show in a goofy way, how I am. So we chose milkshake. I think it was like our like.

00:19:45
Speaker 2: You chose milkshake.

00:19:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I had like I had like a Pussycat Doll song I kind of wanted to do, yeah, I think, but then it had been done before something, so then Milkshake was the one I didn.

00:20:01
Speaker 1: And then after he chose it, yeah, yeah, before you guys performed it right, it went because it was in a commercial, and so then the song was like back in the zeitgeist. And now you're performing your first week on Dancing with the Stars to it, and then to Makarena. Who picked Makarena?

00:20:19
Speaker 5: Yeah, all the good ones.

00:20:22
Speaker 3: Who picked I'm Not That Girl.

00:20:24
Speaker 4: I did not.

00:20:26
Speaker 2: I did not pick up.

00:20:28
Speaker 3: You were given that song, which is our song this week is I'm Not That Girl. And like everything online is like god of course Stolne would jesus someone talking about.

00:20:43
Speaker 4: Oh my gosh.

00:20:45
Speaker 1: And then for week three, for TikTok Night, you danced to Yukon by Justin Bieber, who the world learned is a friend of Dylan Evron. Tell me how that friendship got started? And have you guys ever like gone to play mini golf or like.

00:20:58
Speaker 3: It was a little bit of classic reality, like we're not best friends, so like we are friendly, we have a lot of mutual friends. So I've had some really cool experiences with.

00:21:07
Speaker 4: Justin, But has he reached out to you since that night to be like hey bro, But.

00:21:12
Speaker 5: Our mutual friends were cracking up about it.

00:21:15
Speaker 4: Okay, good, I like that.

00:21:16
Speaker 1: Sorry, we have passed each other on our ways in and out of the PT office.

00:21:21
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, what is your body holding on?

00:21:27
Speaker 5: It's good.

00:21:29
Speaker 3: It changes every week. So like this last week we had the overhead pass and stuff, so it was like my upper body was really sore on my neck and then you just were on like two very fox trot and uh a quick quick step and jibe which is like those just like kill your calves and achilles. So it is nice that we're switching each week and we don't have to keep like I don't know, it gives you.

00:21:52
Speaker 4: A chance to get something, a chance to hurt another part of it.

00:21:54
Speaker 3: Yeah exactly.

00:21:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's rotating.

00:21:56
Speaker 3: But it's it's like like I woke up today with a stiff neck and it's like that's something that's like in my neck, not a muscle.

00:22:03
Speaker 2: That's from sleeping though, that's not from the root.

00:22:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, but like that's the biggest fear is like I've had those before where I can't move my I literally can't move my head for a week.

00:22:11
Speaker 5: And if that happens, it's like, what do we do?

00:22:13
Speaker 1: Do you have an acupuncturist? Okay, I have the best acupuncturist. I can give you her number and.

00:22:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, oh I'm so down.

00:22:20
Speaker 1: Yeah she's yeah, I'll give you her information, but she will get you fixed up.

00:22:25
Speaker 3: Okay, Okay.

00:22:26
Speaker 1: I also have a great chiropractor, but I don't know how you feel about chiropractors, right, and she, she will, she will get you right. And then I know, obviously Dusty would be good for him too. Okay, Danielle, As you know, I am completely obsessed with you.

00:22:43
Speaker 4: I'm like you. Yes, yes, my biggest compliment in my life.

00:22:47
Speaker 1: I often find myself just pulling up videos of you dancing and just watching them in my free time.

00:22:54
Speaker 2: Not at least have this part of the podcast into the I'm completely obsessed with you.

00:23:02
Speaker 1: I hope you know you're never getting rid of me forever. Your dance with Emon Schumper five on it is, hands down, of all the dances I've ever seen on Dancing with the Stars, my favorite dance.

00:23:17
Speaker 4: Can you please tell me where that idea came? From am on.

00:23:23
Speaker 3: You didn't like that you had a different song. I'm muddling it.

00:23:29
Speaker 4: Don't mix your story that.

00:23:32
Speaker 5: You didn't like no, no, no else it was grease.

00:23:35
Speaker 2: It was Grease night with him on that I didn't like because I didn't like like musicals.

00:23:43
Speaker 4: All right, okay, here we are week week.

00:23:48
Speaker 2: That dance. He was like, okay, it's hard night. And he's like, I love this one movie. And he's like, you have to see it.

00:23:56
Speaker 1: So I watched it, yeah, and peels us right, no idea, Yes, I guess.

00:24:04
Speaker 3: It's really hard to get her to watch movies. She hasn't watched My Kids bare she hasn't watched The Traders.

00:24:10
Speaker 4: What do you mean.

00:24:10
Speaker 2: I've watched Traders Showman barely. I watched it. I was it was invested. Once we heard Cars, I haven't watched Cars. I should probably watch all these I'll watch Traders first and then we'll go from there. But yeah, he's like, watched this movie and I watched it, and I was like, Okay, this is actually amazing because the way they move in the movie, and they're also like crazy. It helped me choreograph it actually better because I was like, what am I gonna do with this movie. I have no idea. It's like, when you watch it, you'll see how they move, and that's exactly what happened. And that just gave me all the inspiration because Lupita from the actress in the movie, she she's unreal first of all, but the way they move and they're so like the tethered Yes, it was insane. So I tried to kind of replicate their movement in the dance, which helped me so much choreographically. And then he was so tall. He was six seven, and I'm sure you are.

00:25:13
Speaker 4: You are one inch taller than me, five to two, right, I'm five three five three?

00:25:18
Speaker 2: Oh god, doctor says I'm five four.

00:25:20
Speaker 1: Okay, okay, sorry, I don't know why I was thinking one inch. You're two full inches taller than may.

00:25:26
Speaker 2: Maybe one inch, But yeah, he was so tall that for me it was much easier doing lifts and trusting. The height difference was nice because I knew that, first of.

00:25:39
Speaker 1: All, he's a basketball player, so I did not expect you to say the height difference was nice.

00:25:43
Speaker 2: Was it was nice because of the lift, but for the lifts because the proportions were easier for him. For like someone who's closer in height. So for him, I probably waited nothing and he could just throw me up and down. But that's exactly what we did. I took some lifts that I've seen, like in the ballroom industry before, but we obviously tweaked them into our own way and made them a little bit more dangerous. Yeah, and tried to stand on his shoulders. It worked, So it's like, Okay, I guess we're putting this into thirteen.

00:26:12
Speaker 4: Unbelievable.

00:26:13
Speaker 1: I saw some of that practice, Some of those practices of you trying to get up on his shoulders insane.

00:26:18
Speaker 2: But he was one person I could trust my whole life with because he just he was the best dad. He threw his kids around all the time, so I saw videos of him doing that and I was like, okay, I think it were me and his kids were probably the same exact height. They're like five years old, so probably the same height, same abortions. But he is just like someone I know that I could throw myself with and he would.

00:26:39
Speaker 4: He would always catch you.

00:26:40
Speaker 2: And that's what we did. And I don't know, that's just how it came about.

00:26:43
Speaker 3: One left where he where was it like? Back to back or something like that where he just chucks you aroundbelievable back. He literally does check me, he chucks and it looks so deep.

00:27:00
Speaker 2: I know.

00:27:01
Speaker 1: It's just an unbelievable routine. You are also known for a strong Halloween routine, so what can we expect from.

00:27:07
Speaker 4: You two this year.

00:27:08
Speaker 2: I'm actually excited because I've never done the dance style we're doing this time around ever on Halloween, really ever, because I usually do contemporaries on Halloween.

00:27:17
Speaker 4: Okay, I mean.

00:27:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, I did like three contemporaries on the show out of like five seasons. So this is definitely very different from me, which I'm excited about because I feel like.

00:27:27
Speaker 1: Are you doing are we We're probably not allowed to say yet, Okay, all right, but you've never done it before.

00:27:33
Speaker 4: Exciting, But I know he's going to be good.

00:27:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, I heard the music. It can be good. Like I'm excited for it.

00:27:39
Speaker 1: Oh, I can't wait. I'm so excited. Are you a Halloween guy normally?

00:27:43
Speaker 3: Dylan? Yeah? Yeah, I don't know. I was. I don't know.

00:27:49
Speaker 4: Is Olivia into Halloween? Okay? Because I'll say I was not.

00:27:52
Speaker 1: I could take or leave Halloween until I had kids, and then my kids were so into Halloween that now I'm like, oh, you're right.

00:27:59
Speaker 4: This is amazing, like because you see it through their eyes and it's so fun and like now I love Halloween.

00:28:05
Speaker 3: But I totally see that because I always think about this with my dad. My dad would like handmake our costumes. So like when Zach and were kids, we were like the Mortal Kombat, the one that like had the snake come out and stuff. He like stitched all that and like, yeah, he was insane. He's like them, so all of our Halloween he's so So we went hard for Halloween till I was like ten, and then I became yeah to cool.

00:28:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, then you're like my T shirt. We all have universal experience being ten is you know, It's just like we're all the same at that age. My aunt also made all of my cousins Halloween costumes by scratch, and I don't have I can't sew to save my I guess I don't know.

00:28:50
Speaker 4: It's like dance. I yeah, I didn't think I could do that.

00:28:53
Speaker 5: Six weeks ago, but I just.

00:28:58
Speaker 1: We can pitch it. We'll start with making Halloween costumes.

00:29:04
Speaker 4: With Granaway basically Daniello.

00:29:08
Speaker 1: This one might be a tough question. Who is one celebrity over the past five seasons.

00:29:12
Speaker 2: I probably will not tell you that was not your partner.

00:29:16
Speaker 1: That if they were going to do an All Star season again, that you would want to be a partner with.

00:29:23
Speaker 2: Okay either, Can I say like three? Yeah? Sure, Corbyn Blue Okay, he was insane, Jordan Fisher.

00:29:37
Speaker 4: Okay, great? Or Milo Milo Manheim.

00:29:42
Speaker 1: We're a big Zombies family in our house, so I was a big Milo Manheim fan.

00:29:45
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, very talented. Three like just talent through the roof.

00:29:52
Speaker 4: Okay, those are good Now.

00:30:07
Speaker 1: As an alliance, one of our core values is eating together after tape nights.

00:30:12
Speaker 4: We all know this.

00:30:13
Speaker 1: It is part of the tree we took during initiation, as you know. First, Dylan, can we please talk about how Pasha and Daniella seem to be able to eat.

00:30:24
Speaker 2: And Danielle buckets?

00:30:25
Speaker 4: Yeah, me too, But that's the difference. I look like I consume. I don't know.

00:30:34
Speaker 1: I don't know how the two of them can eat as much as they do a wide variety of things, and yet both of them are two of the most in shape people I've ever met my life.

00:30:47
Speaker 3: Courtney and I like analyzed it after this last time, and we were like, if you watch closely, Pasha ate the most.

00:31:00
Speaker 5: He ate the most, the soush. She just didn't stop.

00:31:03
Speaker 3: But the two of you and the dessert turns out, oh my, like the desserts. You guys could eat so much.

00:31:12
Speaker 1: Even once we think we don't like we likea.

00:31:18
Speaker 3: Literally like it has like a bite perfectly made, and you were like, oh, we're just sipping there from him, that's one.

00:31:23
Speaker 4: Of my favorite moments.

00:31:24
Speaker 1: He takes his time having the perfect like the right ratio of my ice cream to pair cry just who there.

00:31:35
Speaker 2: This is too perfect. This is like the perfect piece.

00:31:40
Speaker 4: Putting it for himself was like yeah, okay.

00:31:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, him and Courtney just like trying to like be nice to each other and like, no, this is for you, No, this is for you so very.

00:31:50
Speaker 4: Much for that I know.

00:31:51
Speaker 1: And and they're really smart because it's usually about like ten pm. They're like, we don't need to eat this much food at ten pm, and it's amazing.

00:31:59
Speaker 3: I do. I'm such a snacker.

00:32:00
Speaker 5: You throw out like right before dinners, I'm eating the arawan that we.

00:32:03
Speaker 4: Show you eat right before the performance, right before I.

00:32:07
Speaker 3: Take advantage of that ariwon runner. I order, like, so I have so much food for like it like bleeds under the next day.

00:32:18
Speaker 4: Wait, what's your Arion order on tap? I need to know this because I.

00:32:25
Speaker 3: Geet like everything.

00:32:27
Speaker 4: Tell me I need to know. I need I want to know I order.

00:32:30
Speaker 3: Yeah, like I'm ordering like a side of steak aside of salmon. I'm doing like the full plate. I'll get like my morning like breakfast burrito or whatever. But I'm literally ordering like breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

00:32:41
Speaker 2: Is the breakfast burrito good? From there?

00:32:43
Speaker 3: It is? It's a little heavy for a show, Okay. I had the Keto breakfast sandwich last that was pretty good. Heavy, It was pretty heavy, you know. And sometimes I just do the eggs with avocado. Yeah.

00:32:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, we Pasha and I eat the avocado chast that has and then two over easy eggs and sometimes bacon.

00:33:04
Speaker 3: Need to stef up your order because like I'm getting like drinks like like all these different type yeah, and then like green juices. I get a smoothie so much what movie you get the mint chocolate one with Wave.

00:33:16
Speaker 1: Protein, Mint chocolate with Way protein. I'm gonna try that this week. Actually, the smoothie is a really good idea. I I last week ordered the avocado toast and two eggs. I had time to eat the two eggs, never had time to eat the avocado.

00:33:33
Speaker 4: Toast, and then didn't eat until we went to sushi.

00:33:35
Speaker 5: Now you know what we need to do.

00:33:37
Speaker 3: So we need to go to arawon not on showday and like take photos of all the things that we want, because like we can order to desert. You order like we can, so like we need to go there. Like I get these little drinks called kin which are like they're like they're amazing, but they're like seven eight bucks or something I never buy us because they're like just four ounces.

00:33:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, but Dancing with the Stars Runner Day.

00:34:03
Speaker 2: Podcast comes out and they're like, actually, Dylan, we can no longer support your fronts.

00:34:17
Speaker 1: I also like your dedication to spending as much time and effort into the air one order. Let's find a day, go to nan take the pictures as you do the dances, Like you really just like to commit. You commit to everything you do, which is just one of the things I love about you.

00:34:35
Speaker 2: Crazy.

00:34:36
Speaker 4: You are also famously outdoorsy.

00:34:39
Speaker 1: And so let's say we all end up on this little Dancing with the Stars tour.

00:34:44
Speaker 4: They speak of could we have an alliance camping night Las Night?

00:34:49
Speaker 2: How about just you and Dylan when you're out camping in like thirty degree weather and ain't cute?

00:34:56
Speaker 3: There's like close places around here, like we can go into the hills like above San Bernardino. There's like really cute cabins up there. There's but there's also like I thought of that, like if we do tour, we need to go like the Miami or the Florida spots jet.

00:35:11
Speaker 1: Skis and if if we do tour, can we make an alliance to.

00:35:16
Speaker 4: The same places?

00:35:17
Speaker 3: Absolutely?

00:35:18
Speaker 4: Okay, I'm keeping the running. You're doing the whole tour, right.

00:35:22
Speaker 2: I mean.

00:35:25
Speaker 4: I did lob the idea to my sons today.

00:35:28
Speaker 1: What if when this is all over, we went on a Dancing with the Stars tour and we got to go to a bunch of different places.

00:35:36
Speaker 4: Which ones would you want to go to? And my son said all of them? And what if? I was just like, that's it, you said.

00:35:41
Speaker 2: I think you should. Honestly, if you guys have your own bus, we'll just join.

00:35:46
Speaker 5: We need to go in and get like cool buses like.

00:35:50
Speaker 1: Just follow and Pasha bus.

00:35:53
Speaker 2: I'm down.

00:35:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, the kids could be together kids, I would die. That would be so that would be pretty amazing.

00:36:04
Speaker 2: That would be really cool.

00:36:05
Speaker 1: All right, My final question for both of you, if each of you could give me one piece of advice moving forward with the rest of the competition, what would it be.

00:36:14
Speaker 2: Keep you keep icing your body.

00:36:18
Speaker 4: Exactly, don't fall apart.

00:36:20
Speaker 5: One piece of advice for dancing with the stars.

00:36:24
Speaker 4: You to be my best, you go first, throw on for the best.

00:36:27
Speaker 2: Do whatever Pasha says, because he knows.

00:36:30
Speaker 4: I know he really is.

00:36:32
Speaker 2: He's the best.

00:36:32
Speaker 1: He really is the best. I don't know how he's so patient. Did he tell you about when I had a full blown meltdown in here?

00:36:38
Speaker 2: Well, he lives with me. He has to be patient. I'm so a d d that bless his heart. Like I'm just all over the place. He's He's like, yeah, he's a rock. He's a rock for sure.

00:36:49
Speaker 3: I know what it is to You need to not be so hard on yourself when you like, if you miss a step or something like that, because I'm the same way where we're are harshest critics, but you own it out there and if you make a stupid little mistake, like that's not what people remember, like it's your personality, the way you connect with people, like you crush, Like you're just that type of person where you'll crush ninety eight percent of the dance, but you'll think about that one.

00:37:15
Speaker 4: Stuff of course.

00:37:16
Speaker 3: So like I think you're just so underestimating your connection. Like when you're dancing, we all feel connected to you. When you're talking, it's like you're such a whole package that you can't you can't focus, you can't be so hard on yourself, thank you, And that's what I'm telling myself all too. But I see it with a time because like you are an incredible dancer right now, and like you're incredible in everything, So just like embrace that and don't be so hard.

00:37:44
Speaker 1: On yourself backwise, and we got to keep up our self care and our after dinners. Those things go such a long way, like we don't other than our partners, which we also barely get to see. It's one of the reasons our little Tuesday night dinners.

00:37:59
Speaker 4: Mean so much to it. The trailer trailer food. Sometimes the trailer I love the trailrailer food.

00:38:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like the trailer It's it's really nice. But it's one of the things that is we aren't getting a ton of social downtime, and and that is such an important part of feeling recharged and refreshed to like keep going for another week. So I thank you both for your friendship, for our alliance, for being my forever friends, and thank you for being a part of this podcast.

00:38:32
Speaker 2: I'm rooting it.

00:38:35
Speaker 4: Every single week. You have my vote.

00:38:37
Speaker 3: I can't wait till Tuesday because of the dinner.

00:38:44
Speaker 2: Time.

00:38:44
Speaker 3: I better order something good because you paid last time. I shouldn't have.

00:38:49
Speaker 4: The aggressive situation.

00:38:53
Speaker 3: And I went to pay and the guy looked at us like he's like and he didn't say anything, and then he walked away and we're like, that was weird. He's like, oh, it's already paid for and I should not have.

00:39:03
Speaker 1: We had a very fun dinner with Boston Rob and his beautiful wife and four daughters. Four children. How do people do it? I have two and it feels like two hundred. How people have four I'll never understand. But they did it, I mean, and they were all delightful.

00:39:18
Speaker 3: Yeah. He's such a good dad, you get Yeah, you're so sweet. I know.

00:39:23
Speaker 4: He messaged me after and said thank you, and I was like, let's do it.

00:39:25
Speaker 3: No, he wanted your address. He's like, do you have her address? And you just send her something. He's like, I can't stop thinking about it.

00:39:30
Speaker 1: Oh, she's crazy. Well, I'm hopeful there will be another time. We're gonna We're gonna do it again. Finale in the finale, to the finale.

00:39:38
Speaker 2: To the finale, the finale.

00:39:41
Speaker 4: All right, thank you everyone, We'll see you next time.
